- 0:01Speaker 1: NOWR Presents the Mark Simon Show. Thank God it's Friday.
- 0:11Speaker 1: We got a lot to get to today. The Mom
- 0:13Speaker 1: Donnie Trump meeting is today, just hours away. We'll give
- 0:18Speaker 1: you all the details. Thanksgiving is less than a week away. Yeah,
- 0:23Speaker 1: one week from today. It'll be the day after thanks
- 0:25Speaker 1: to you. It'll be that silly Black Friday a week
- 0:27Speaker 1: from today. So we'll get to that. We'll get to
- 0:30Speaker 1: President Trump and his latest controversy. We'll get to that
- 0:34Speaker 1: Ukraine peace plan. We'll get to Jeffrey Epstein and a
- 0:38Speaker 1: whole lot more. We'll get to the anti Semitic terrorism
- 0:43Speaker 1: that's taken place in New York City. I think that'll
- 0:45Speaker 1: be a topic of today's meeting. So anyway, here's the deal.
- 0:49Speaker 1: President Trump will meet Mom Donnie today in the White
- 0:52Speaker 1: House at three o'clock. Mom Donnie asked for the meeting.
- 0:59Speaker 1: It was that requested it. Trump said, yes. It will
- 1:03Speaker 1: be closed to press. It's not going to be like
- 1:06Speaker 1: the Zelenski meeting, where they'll start with the cameras there
- 1:09Speaker 1: and you'll be watching it live and they'll get into
- 1:11Speaker 1: a fight. It's gonna be closed press. Now why is that? Well?
- 1:18Speaker 1: Two reasons. One, you can really elevate the gravitas of
- 1:24Speaker 1: Mom Donni. If there's pictures of him sitting in the
- 1:27Speaker 1: Oval Office, sitting on the couch with the discussing things
- 1:30Speaker 1: with the president. You know those couches, those two couches
- 1:33Speaker 1: in the Oval Office, that's where world leaders sit as
- 1:36Speaker 1: they meet with the president. So to see mom Donni
- 1:39Speaker 1: in that seat would be give him a lot more cachet.
- 1:44Speaker 1: It would look it's impressive to be sitting there in
- 1:46Speaker 1: the Oval Office with the President. So they're not going
- 1:49Speaker 1: to let the press in now. If things go really well,
- 1:54Speaker 1: they're going to have to call an audible on this.
- 1:56Speaker 1: If it goes really well at the end, the president
- 1:59Speaker 1: can invite the press in and then take those pictures.
- 2:02Speaker 1: If he wants to give that gift to Mom Donnie,
- 2:06Speaker 1: he can bring the press in afterwards. Now, you can't
- 2:08Speaker 1: do it the other way around. It's too difficult. You
- 2:10Speaker 1: can't have the press in there and try to throw
- 2:12Speaker 1: them out if it's not going the way you want.
- 2:14Speaker 1: So they'll start with no press, and there's a possibility
- 2:18Speaker 1: at the end they might be called in. Now, what
- 2:21Speaker 1: happens with the press at the White House. There's about
- 2:23Speaker 1: one hundred and fifty news organizations that do the coverage
- 2:28Speaker 1: in the White House. Well, you can't have them all
- 2:30Speaker 1: there at once, so they have what's called a pool,
- 2:33Speaker 1: which they pick five news organizations to come in, do
- 2:37Speaker 1: the video, do the audio, and then that's fed to
- 2:39Speaker 1: the other one hundred and fifty. So every day they
- 2:42Speaker 1: have a pool, they rotate it. They pick different news
- 2:44Speaker 1: organizations to be in the pool. One day it might
- 2:47Speaker 1: be ABC News, it might be The New York Times,
- 2:51Speaker 1: it might be The New York Post, it might be Newsmax,
- 2:54Speaker 1: it might be BBC. What they pick five every day,
- 3:00Speaker 1: it's a different five every day that are chosen for
- 3:01Speaker 1: the pool. Well, I'm looking at today's White House pool,
- 3:05Speaker 1: I think the President was stacking the deck against Mom Donnie.
- 3:09Speaker 1: The five names in the pool are all big Mom
- 3:12Speaker 1: Donnie probably hating organizations. It's Fox News, Newsmax, It's all
- 3:19Speaker 1: very conservative news organizations in the pool, So that I
- 3:24Speaker 1: would assume that was done deliberately. So if they do
- 3:27Speaker 1: call him in, Mom Donnie's going to get no sympathy
- 3:29Speaker 1: from anybody. So the other question is who will be
- 3:33Speaker 1: in the room now if Mam Donnie comes in there
- 3:37Speaker 1: and sits down and on that other couch it's JD. Vance,
- 3:40Speaker 1: Stephen Miller, Tom Holman. He's not going to like that.
- 3:44Speaker 1: He's not going to like that. So we'll see if
- 3:47Speaker 1: the President invites other people in who he invites in there? Now,
- 3:51Speaker 1: remember with the Zelenski meeting, everybody always goes to that
- 3:54Speaker 1: as the standard. He had all those people over there
- 3:58Speaker 1: on the couch, and if you want to have Zelensky
- 4:02Speaker 1: have a hard time, he just turn and say JD. Vance.
- 4:04Speaker 1: What do you think Vance would go after his Olenski?
- 4:06Speaker 1: They could do their good cop, bad cop routine. So
- 4:10Speaker 1: the meeting will be at three o'clock. I would guess
- 4:12Speaker 1: it goes about half an hour forty five minutes, and
- 4:16Speaker 1: then if they bring the press in, that'll stretch it
- 4:18Speaker 1: out and they might even take questions if it goes
- 4:20Speaker 1: really well, you never know what this mom Donnie guy.
- 4:25Speaker 1: He still seems like quite the con man, and a
- 4:27Speaker 1: good thing with a con man, you can make deals
- 4:29Speaker 1: with con men. Trump has one. He's got a lot
- 4:33Speaker 1: of great talents, but one real big talent. He can
- 4:36Speaker 1: go into a room when somebody's never met before. And
- 4:40Speaker 1: many people have told me about this. He can I
- 4:44Speaker 1: mean I've seen him myself a couple of times. But
- 4:45Speaker 1: people that were involved in big, big deals where they're
- 4:48Speaker 1: going to meet with the seven people from Hong Kong
- 4:51Speaker 1: or whoever. Trump has an amazing ability to get in
- 4:54Speaker 1: the room, look at him with radar and sonar and
- 4:59Speaker 1: see right now through them, see everything, see their weaknesses,
- 5:02Speaker 1: their strengths, also to see what they're really looking for,
- 5:05Speaker 1: what they would really like. So sometimes they go in
- 5:08Speaker 1: with a plan, here's what will present. Barbara Krkan tells
- 5:12Speaker 1: this story. They were going in there to sell this
- 5:13Speaker 1: group from Hong Kong the Plaza hotel and they walk in,
- 5:17Speaker 1: sit down all around these big table. Trump takes one
- 5:20Speaker 1: look at him and knows what they really want, and
- 5:23Speaker 1: it's waterfront property in Manhattan, and he sells them the
- 5:26Speaker 1: whole West Side railroad yards. But he saw right in
- 5:28Speaker 1: their faces, he could tell what they really wanted. So
- 5:32Speaker 1: he'll read mom Downie very well and he'll know. And
- 5:35Speaker 1: I remember he's done this with the big world leaders,
- 5:38Speaker 1: with Kim Jong un and others. Is Zelenski. It went
- 5:43Speaker 1: badly the first meeting, but he saw what was needed.
- 5:47Speaker 1: You needed to slap the guy around a little and
- 5:49Speaker 1: have him come back for a second meeting a little
- 5:51Speaker 1: more humble. So we'll see what happens at three o'clock.
- 5:55Speaker 1: We'll probably know. By four o'clock we'll have some word
- 5:58Speaker 1: on what happened. Now, what are the topics they're going
- 6:01Speaker 1: to go over? Well, police very important. He's agreed to
- 6:05Speaker 1: keep Jessica Tish. Now think about what that means. It's
- 6:07Speaker 1: a pretty important to see. It's the most important decision.
- 6:11Speaker 1: You get the right police commissioner and the police are
- 6:13Speaker 1: doing their job and everybody's safe. That kind of fixes
- 6:16Speaker 1: everything in the city. As long as the streets are safe,
- 6:19Speaker 1: people stay, business comes back, tourists come, money flows in
- 6:23Speaker 1: most important thing, keep the streets safe, and everything else
- 6:27Speaker 1: will fall into place. But remember this is a big
- 6:31Speaker 1: thing for Mom Donnie to get her to stay. Not
- 6:34Speaker 1: just good police commissioner, but she's Jewish, she's an Oligark,
- 6:38Speaker 1: she's from an oligarch family. It's everything Mom Donnie rails against.
- 6:42Speaker 1: So he's made this exception. Apparently part of their agreement
- 6:47Speaker 1: is he'll leave the police department alone, all his crazy
- 6:51Speaker 1: stuff of the social workers and this, and he'll do
- 6:53Speaker 1: that separately in another department, and he'll create called the
- 6:57Speaker 1: Department of Community Safety. Now he's given in on some things,
- 7:02Speaker 1: social workers respond to domestic violence calls. Apparently he's given
- 7:06Speaker 1: in on that. He's even said so well, he's backed
- 7:09Speaker 1: off on it publicly. Hey, the other big thing is
- 7:12Speaker 1: there's a civilian review board that can really go after cops.
- 7:17Speaker 1: The police commissioner has a final say, but he was
- 7:19Speaker 1: going to take that away from the police commissioner and
- 7:24Speaker 1: give himself the power. Apparently he's backing off that. He
- 7:27Speaker 1: hasn't absolutely formally announced it, but his statesman his statements
- 7:32Speaker 1: yesterday sound like he's backing off. He's actually said there's
- 7:37Speaker 1: a good chance he won't do that. He will not
- 7:41Speaker 1: take control of the civilian complaint Review Board. Well, he
- 7:46Speaker 1: sidestepped the question. He wouldn't say he was going to
- 7:48Speaker 1: continue to do that. He double talked his way out
- 7:51Speaker 1: of it, so that Bob and Weave an evasive answer
- 7:54Speaker 1: made it look like he's backing off that. So in
- 7:57Speaker 1: the meeting today with Trump, single the Safety Police, all
- 8:02Speaker 1: that stuff, and hopefully Trump is going to bring up
- 8:05Speaker 1: what happened at the Park East Synagogue, one of the
- 8:10Speaker 1: great synagogues in New York, on sixty Seventh Street on
- 8:13Speaker 1: the east side. There were what were supposed to be
- 8:16Speaker 1: protesters or something in front of it as Jewish people
- 8:21Speaker 1: went to worship in the synagogue. It was not a protest.
- 8:24Speaker 1: It was Muslim terrorism. They were all Muslim pro Palestini,
- 8:29Speaker 1: but they tried to terrorize the worshippers. It was actual terrorism.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Trump's going to bring that up and point out to
- 8:37Speaker 1: them that if anything happens like that, the government, federal
- 8:39Speaker 1: government has every right to come in there and arrest
- 8:41Speaker 1: these people and charge them with terrorism. And he doesn't
- 8:45Speaker 1: want to have to do that. That Momdannie should take
- 8:47Speaker 1: care of that. You can have the same protest, you
- 8:50Speaker 1: just have to do what Rudy Giuliani or a good
- 8:53Speaker 1: mayor would do, which is put them across the street
- 8:58Speaker 1: far away so it's not interfering with the people trying
- 9:00Speaker 1: to go to the synagogue. Put them far away, put
- 9:03Speaker 1: a fence there so they can yell and scream and
- 9:06Speaker 1: do whatever they want, but they can't get near the
- 9:08Speaker 1: people or terrorize them. So that'll come up in the
- 9:10Speaker 1: meeting today. Now there's a long, long precedent that allows
- 9:15Speaker 1: federal troops to come in and protect the civil rights
- 9:19Speaker 1: of minorities. So if anything like that happens again, this
- 9:22Speaker 1: has been going on for many, many decades, federal troops
- 9:26Speaker 1: can come in and protect people in that situation. They
- 9:29Speaker 1: used to have to do it for black people in
- 9:31Speaker 1: the South when they were being terrorized by Ku Klux
- 9:34Speaker 1: Klan or other protesters. So federal law Trump can come
- 9:39Speaker 1: in and defend those people. They're also going to talk
- 9:42Speaker 1: about He's gonna explain, Tom, i'm donnie, this stupid. We're
- 9:45Speaker 1: a city of international law. Apparently, it's going to have
- 9:48Speaker 1: to give him a little civics lesson. We are not
- 9:50Speaker 1: a city of international law. The US does not follow
- 9:54Speaker 1: international law, never has, never will. We have American law.
- 9:58Speaker 1: We have our own laws. We have federal gover laws,
- 10:00Speaker 1: state laws, city laws, we have a Supreme Court. We
- 10:04Speaker 1: do not, no matter how many times he says it,
- 10:06Speaker 1: We're not a city of international law. This idea of
- 10:10Speaker 1: arresting Benjamin Netanya, who I'm sure the President will go
- 10:14Speaker 1: over this the way he claims he can do that
- 10:18Speaker 1: is netnya who was charged in the Hague with war crimes.
- 10:22Speaker 1: The President will probably have to explain to ma'm donnie,
- 10:24Speaker 1: we don't recognize that court that court is a joke.
- 10:28Speaker 1: It's not taken seriously. The US does not recognize that court.
- 10:32Speaker 1: And if Netanyahu were to come to New York, and
- 10:34Speaker 1: Trump has said this, federal agents would protect him, and
- 10:38Speaker 1: a couple of Justice Department officials have said if Mam
- 10:41Speaker 1: Donni tries any crap like that, that the Justice Department
- 10:45Speaker 1: will arrest him for hate crimes. So Trump will do
- 10:49Speaker 1: this nicely. He'll just kind of lay all this out
- 10:51Speaker 1: for him. He's also going to try to explain to
- 10:54Speaker 1: mo'm donnie, you know the socialism free free, this free,
- 10:58Speaker 1: gross free that these are, as one person put it,
- 11:03Speaker 1: these are dorm room conversations and college dorm rooms from
- 11:07Speaker 1: Naive's students. And he's going to try explain to him.
- 11:11Speaker 1: First job of the city government as collect the trash,
- 11:14Speaker 1: clean the streets, make sure they're safe, run the subways,
- 11:17Speaker 1: run the run traffic, keep the town open for business.
- 11:21Speaker 1: It's the most important thing. So this could be a
- 11:24Speaker 1: very very important meeting. It could go badly. They could
- 11:28Speaker 1: get into a big fight. Mom Donnie could come out
- 11:30Speaker 1: yelling and screaming. But Trump's pretty good at remember, Mom
- 11:36Speaker 1: Donnie's just a kid. He's never had a job. He's
- 11:39Speaker 1: never been a negotiator. Trump is a master negotiator, negotiating
- 11:43Speaker 1: with the biggest people in the world in business and
- 11:45Speaker 1: television and world affairs. Been doing it all his life.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Mom, Donnie, I have many disagreements with the President, and
- 11:54Speaker 2: I believe that we should be relentless and pursue all
- 11:57Speaker 2: avenues and all meetings make our city affordable for every
- 12:02Speaker 2: single New Yorker.
- 12:04Speaker 1: All Right, we'll see what happens today. We'll know, there'll
- 12:08Speaker 1: be a little fallout over the weekend, and then we'll
- 12:10Speaker 1: know on Monday.
- 12:11Speaker 2: My team reached out to the White House to set
- 12:14Speaker 2: up this meeting because I will work with anyone to
- 12:16Speaker 2: make life more affordable for the more than eight and
- 12:18Speaker 2: a half million people who call the city home.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Yeah. So his team, Well, that's Dean Fullahan, who's from
- 12:24Speaker 1: the Deblasio team, a couple of there's about five major
- 12:29Speaker 1: people that are like the major inner circle, four of
- 12:32Speaker 1: them from the Deblasio administration, one of them from the
- 12:35Speaker 1: Adams administration. Anyway, we'll get back to that. Hey, the
- 12:40Speaker 1: Dick Cheney funeral. You know who's getting a lot of
- 12:42Speaker 1: flack is Rachel Maddow, who was at the Dick Cheney funeral.
- 12:46Speaker 1: To take a look at my Twitter, you can see
- 12:47Speaker 1: the picture of her sitting there next to Anthony Fauci,
- 12:54Speaker 1: Mark Milly, the General Mark Milly. What does that say
- 12:56Speaker 1: about Cheney that the Fauci Millie, the two most in
- 12:59Speaker 1: coompt it at bungling people ever in government, are the
- 13:02Speaker 1: ones there to mourn him. But what the hell was
- 13:05Speaker 1: Rachel Maddow doing there? She's getting a lot of flak
- 13:10Speaker 1: for it. And now, remember when Cheney was in power
- 13:14Speaker 1: there as vice president those eight years. That's when Madow
- 13:16Speaker 1: first came on the scene, first became a big host.
- 13:19Speaker 1: But for all those years, Rachel Maddow brutally attacked Cheney,
- 13:24Speaker 1: called him a war criminal, a liar, a crook, a thief,
- 13:28Speaker 1: a torturer, a warmonger. They went after him for everything.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Abu Garab, waterboarding, liar, thief, They went out and claimed
- 13:36Speaker 1: he was had some slimy, sleazy Halliburton deal. None of
- 13:41Speaker 1: that was true. Abu Gharab, the waterboarding, the torturing in prison.
- 13:51Speaker 1: I mean, they just went after him like crazy. Now
- 13:53Speaker 1: she's sitting there at his funeral mourning him. This is
- 13:56Speaker 1: the hypocrisy Democrats are famous for. When asked about it,
- 14:00Speaker 1: she said, well, I felt that he was I didn't
- 14:05Speaker 1: agree with him one hundred percent disagree with him, but
- 14:07Speaker 1: I feel he was transformation over the last few years
- 14:12Speaker 1: in helping to lead the charge against Donald Trump. So
- 14:15Speaker 1: she out and now admits it. You could be hitler,
- 14:18Speaker 1: you could be the most awful person in the world.
- 14:22Speaker 1: But if you're bad mouthing Trump, she'll stand by you.
- 14:24Speaker 1: If it's against Trump, she likes you no matter what.
- 14:28Speaker 1: A pretty knee jer kind of silly kind of way
- 14:31Speaker 1: to behave. So the Ukraine Deal, we'll get to that
- 14:36Speaker 1: a little later. On this Ukraine Deal twenty eight point
- 14:40Speaker 1: peace plan, people are saying it's quite an elaborate plan.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Steve Witkoff put this together. A lot of what they
- 14:47Speaker 1: learned in the Gaza negotiations used here. It's a twenty
- 14:51Speaker 1: eight point peace plan. People that have looked through it
- 14:53Speaker 1: said it's absolutely ridiculous. It gives everything to Russia, gives
- 14:58Speaker 1: absolutely nothing thing to Ukraine. It's twenty eight points. Twenty
- 15:03Speaker 1: eight of them favor Russia, but it's a starting point.
- 15:07Speaker 1: They know what they're doing. This is not the plan.
- 15:09Speaker 1: This is like round one. Ukraine will start eliminating stuff
- 15:13Speaker 1: from it. Putin will argue, so it's a starting point
- 15:16Speaker 1: to try to get to something. But the plan could
- 15:19Speaker 1: never be adopted. It doesn't provide any protection for Ukraine.
- 15:22Speaker 1: In the end, it gives them all the It gives
- 15:25Speaker 1: Russia all the territory they wanted anyway, So there wouldn't
- 15:29Speaker 1: be much point to any of this. It's round one.
- 15:32Speaker 1: It's just a round one. Turns out the Department of
- 15:36Speaker 1: Justice under Joe Biden was so weaponized targeting people law fair,
- 15:43Speaker 1: coordinating these Trump indictments in four different cities. Now it
- 15:47Speaker 1: turns out they went after Jim Jordan in Congress, massive surveillance.
- 15:52Speaker 1: They got his phone, rerecord, emails, everything as GPA. They
- 15:55Speaker 1: followed everything he did. Terrible, terrible surveillance. This will just
- 16:00Speaker 1: keep coming out, This story will keep you, just keep evolving,
- 16:04Speaker 1: getting bigger and bigger and bigger. Hey, we'll take some
- 16:08Speaker 1: calls in just a minute. Eight hundred three two one
- 16:11Speaker 1: zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two
- 16:14Speaker 1: one zero seven ten. If you're listening to Mark on
- 16:17Speaker 1: the iHeartRadio app, save time and tap the preset button.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Now.
- 16:22Speaker 4: Now back to the Mark Simone Show on wor.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to VIC in Pennsylvania. Vic.
- 16:31Speaker 1: How you doing.
- 16:33Speaker 5: I'm doing fine.
- 16:34Speaker 3: Mark.
- 16:34Speaker 6: I want to ask you.
- 16:35Speaker 7: Is this JDL still around?
- 16:38Speaker 1: Yeah, they are the Jewish Defense League, but you know
- 16:40Speaker 1: they need help. NYPD has to cooperate, and that's where
- 16:43Speaker 1: you need to write Police Commissioner. Also, you can't allow
- 16:48Speaker 1: this kind of stuff. This was absolute terrorism taking place
- 16:50Speaker 1: in the front of Parky Synagogue, and people don't like
- 16:55Speaker 1: the mom Donni reaction to it. It wasn't a strong statement
- 16:58Speaker 1: condemning it. But that'll come up in today's meeting with
- 17:03Speaker 1: the President. He'll bring that up. He's been told all
- 17:05Speaker 1: about this incident, and we'll bring it up today. Let's
- 17:08Speaker 1: go to uh Jerry in Greenwich. Jerry, how you doing?
- 17:13Speaker 7: I'm doing well?
- 17:13Speaker 3: Mark?
- 17:14Speaker 7: Thank you?
- 17:15Speaker 8: Uh.
- 17:15Speaker 7: These Democrats they lost their election and there's still one
- 17:20Speaker 7: run the country to ruin it worse than Biden did.
- 17:25Speaker 7: What's what is the matter with this? People? They hate America,
- 17:29Speaker 7: they hate all American people. They hat had everything about
- 17:33Speaker 7: what Trump is doing, but that's an excuse. They hate us.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Who's us?
- 17:41Speaker 7: All these Democrats are on television and tapes in the
- 17:45Speaker 7: in that and the one run and that they want
- 17:47Speaker 7: to tell Trump what to do. They're still you know,
- 17:51Speaker 7: are crazy.
- 17:52Speaker 1: No, they are a crazy, good point, Jerry, Yeah, they
- 17:55Speaker 1: are absolutely Now. Of course Trump doesn't help him, so
- 17:58Speaker 1: I mean he does it deliberately, you know. He ever
- 18:00Speaker 1: like a vicious animal in a cage in a zoo,
- 18:03Speaker 1: like a big tiger, a lion, and it's in a cage,
- 18:05Speaker 1: but you go rattle the cage and it starts roaring
- 18:07Speaker 1: and going crazy. He does that with the press all
- 18:10Speaker 1: the time. All the time. He just goes after them,
- 18:13Speaker 1: trust to rile them up, trust to get him nuts.
- 18:16Speaker 1: He enjoys it. He loves the fight. And if everything's
- 18:20Speaker 1: fine and peaceful, he hates it. He's miserable. He loves trouble,
- 18:23Speaker 1: he loves action, he loves fighting. You know, it's wearing
- 18:27Speaker 1: all of us down, but he enjoys it. He gets
- 18:29Speaker 1: up every morning thing and how can I rile things
- 18:31Speaker 1: up again? I can create total chaos. He does his
- 18:34Speaker 1: best work in this kind of total chaos. But the
- 18:38Speaker 1: media always falls for it. The press always takes the bait.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Democrats going nuts. There's something about him that just sets
- 18:46Speaker 1: people off. You know, we have to get on the show.
- 18:48Speaker 1: There's a great psychiatrist, doctor Keith Ablow. We got to
- 18:53Speaker 1: remember Miranda Devine was telling us he can explain this
- 18:56Speaker 1: Trump arrangement syndrome, what it is that sets them off.
- 19:00Speaker 1: I'll just try to get him for a Monday. We'll see.
- 19:02Speaker 1: We're gonna do that. Let's go to Joel in Florida. Joel,
- 19:05Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 19:07Speaker 9: Good morning?
- 19:07Speaker 10: More just out of curiosity, do you think it any
- 19:11Speaker 10: criteria that can be used by the doctor by the
- 19:14Speaker 10: covern Hokeel or Hope's success or could put the Mandanbie
- 19:19Speaker 10: out of office, similar to what was with Jimmy walkerm
- 19:22Speaker 10: Then yeah.
- 19:22Speaker 1: You can remove mom Donni from office. You can just
- 19:25Speaker 1: do it now. You got thirty days to lay out
- 19:27Speaker 1: the case. But you could find some reason if he
- 19:31Speaker 1: if just failure to do his job, you could remove
- 19:33Speaker 1: him from office. If there's some incident like to take
- 19:35Speaker 1: that park at East Synagogue incident yesterday the day before,
- 19:40Speaker 1: if he didn't have the police jump in and take
- 19:43Speaker 1: care of you, just something like that, you can remove
- 19:45Speaker 1: him from office. FDR removed Jimmy Walker from office. It
- 19:49Speaker 1: can be done. Let's go to Blouvelt in Florida. Blouvelt.
- 19:52Speaker 1: How you doing?
- 19:54Speaker 5: Watch how are good? Hey?
- 19:59Speaker 6: Listen?
- 19:59Speaker 5: I saw a video of these young, mushed college girls
- 20:03Speaker 5: dancing around at von Donnie Guide. I like, there, you know,
- 20:07Speaker 5: they're so excited to have sharia law come in. I
- 20:11Speaker 5: couldn't believe what I was seeing. You know, I think
- 20:13Speaker 5: with Donald Donald Trump should get a gold frame picture
- 20:17Speaker 5: of that Bill Clinton sitting in a dress and have
- 20:21Speaker 5: a wife by her side. Every time he's a stupid
- 20:23Speaker 5: question from ABC, that's.
- 20:25Speaker 1: A good point. Every time they bring up Epstein, well
- 20:27Speaker 1: he brings up Clinton. But believe it or not, Epstein.
- 20:30Speaker 1: He had a big house on seventy first Street. It
- 20:33Speaker 1: was like bigger than the town as it used to
- 20:35Speaker 1: be a school, and he really fixed it up. It
- 20:38Speaker 1: was all glitzy and gold and everything inside. And he
- 20:42Speaker 1: had an artist do a painting of Bill Clinton in
- 20:44Speaker 1: a blue dress I guess like a Monica Lewinsky blue dress,
- 20:48Speaker 1: I don't know what, in a blue dress and high heels.
- 20:51Speaker 1: I don't know why he did this, but it was
- 20:52Speaker 1: Bill Clinton. And he had that in the living room
- 20:55Speaker 1: when you walked in, and when the FBI raided the play.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Couldn't believe this, but you right, Trump should put that
- 21:01Speaker 1: behind him as the backdrop every time he talks about
- 21:06Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein. Let's go to Tom and New Rochelle. Tom.
- 21:08Speaker 3: How you doing, Hi, Mark, Thanks to lot.
- 21:12Speaker 7: I appreciate it.
- 21:14Speaker 11: When you talked about you quoted Mondamie for international law,
- 21:20Speaker 11: I decided I'd go online and check.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Don't go online, don't check anything, don't just go to experts.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Don't go online.
- 21:26Speaker 11: It's our Google og LGBTQ rights and law in Uganda
- 21:33Speaker 11: and in the know.
- 21:35Speaker 1: But what we're saying is when Mamdannie keeps saying we're
- 21:37Speaker 1: a city of international law, the President's going to explain
- 21:40Speaker 1: to him today this is absolutely not the case. We
- 21:43Speaker 1: don't recognize international law in New York City, in New
- 21:47Speaker 1: York State, or in America. We have our own laws.
- 21:50Speaker 1: We don't and we certainly don't subscribe to anything that
- 21:53Speaker 1: World Court does in the Hague, we don't recognize those
- 21:57Speaker 1: laws here. Let's go to Fern in New Jersey. Fern,
- 22:00Speaker 1: how you.
- 22:00Speaker 12: Doing, Hey, Mark, good morning, Thanks for taking my call.
- 22:04Speaker 12: Love your show, Avid listener. I even write to you
- 22:07Speaker 12: a lot of times. You do, Yeah, I do, I
- 22:10Speaker 12: do anyhow, Anyhow, Listen, I wanted to tell you that
- 22:14Speaker 12: you mentioned, and thank you so much for mentioning what
- 22:16Speaker 12: happens at the Parky Synagogue. It wasn't just a matter
- 22:20Speaker 12: of people there being, you know, there to worship. The
- 22:24Speaker 12: fact of the matter is, and ironically so the people
- 22:28Speaker 12: that were there that evening were attending a program from
- 22:31Speaker 12: an organization called Nephish Benefish because they are looking to
- 22:37Speaker 12: maybe immigrate to Israel. So on top of the fact
- 22:41Speaker 12: that you know, they're fearful to begin with, then they're
- 22:44Speaker 12: terrorized walking in or around the building.
- 22:48Speaker 1: So yeah, no, no, at that incident, if you were
- 22:50Speaker 1: to stand across the street with signs pro Palestine, whatever,
- 22:53Speaker 1: that's fine, that's a protest. This was different.
- 22:55Speaker 9: Well, of course we've.
- 22:56Speaker 12: Seen that for the Israel Day parade all the time.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Yeah, that's fine. This was muzzle terrorism and the federal
- 23:02Speaker 1: government has every right to send troops in and go
- 23:05Speaker 1: after them and declare these people they were engaged in
- 23:08Speaker 1: terrorism at that moment. They could be arrested federally. The
- 23:11Speaker 1: President will explain that to Mom Donnie in today's meeting,
- 23:16Speaker 1: the meeting today at three o'clock. Well, we'll get back
- 23:18Speaker 1: to that. Well, we'll talk to Ronda sheer. Next, We've
- 23:23Speaker 1: got a lot to discuss with her coming up on
- 23:25Speaker 1: seven to ten WR.
- 23:27Speaker 13: It's more Mark Simone on seventen WR.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Well, it's right now, Rondaser, our friend and queen of
- 23:38Speaker 1: home shopping and of course TV star. I remember Up
- 23:41Speaker 1: All Night was a big, big television sensation. Well it's back.
- 23:44Speaker 1: There was a great Halloween debut and there's a big
- 23:48Speaker 1: Thanksgiving special. It'll drop tomorrow night, I think at ten o'clock.
- 23:52Speaker 1: And she's with us right now, Rohnda Sheer.
- 23:54Speaker 14: How you Doing's have some fun because it's Jeffrey Epstein's thing.
- 23:58Speaker 8: It's getting to me.
- 23:59Speaker 1: How many jeff Epstein's did you know in Hollywood?
- 24:02Speaker 3: Oh?
- 24:02Speaker 8: My gosh, so many? Are you kidding? They were all producers.
- 24:08Speaker 8: I know a lot of them.
- 24:09Speaker 14: But you know, how did you talk about that poor doctor,
- 24:11Speaker 14: that neurosurgeon.
- 24:12Speaker 8: Did you already hit that?
- 24:14Speaker 15: Well?
- 24:14Speaker 1: Wait, I you know, I said, oh the poor guy,
- 24:16Speaker 1: he's got the same name, must crush. Now you see
- 24:18Speaker 1: the guys in the New York Post today trying to
- 24:19Speaker 1: get himself some publicity.
- 24:21Speaker 14: Yeah, wait a minute, I'm sorry. I think neurosurgeons are god.
- 24:25Speaker 14: They operate on your brain, they open your skull. They
- 24:28Speaker 14: operate your brain. This dude, Jasmine Crockett names this neurosurgeon
- 24:33Speaker 14: as like he's the one who gave money to Lee
- 24:36Speaker 14: Zelden Poor.
- 24:37Speaker 8: It feels so sorry, But did you read the article.
- 24:39Speaker 8: It said that he's going to give money to her.
- 24:41Speaker 14: He could get back at her by giving donating money
- 24:43Speaker 14: to her, and then he would Then they could say, oh,
- 24:47Speaker 14: she took money from Jeffrey Epstein too.
- 24:50Speaker 8: I love that. I think the should do that.
- 24:51Speaker 1: He is a neurosurgeon. If he really wanted to help,
- 24:53Speaker 1: he'd offer to give her brain surgery instead of don Okay.
- 24:57Speaker 14: I have to talk about her fashion because you know,
- 24:59Speaker 14: I know you love them talking about fashion.
- 25:01Speaker 8: Yea, what is she doing? Have you?
- 25:03Speaker 14: This woman does not care about Congress every day it
- 25:06Speaker 14: is a style show on the red carpet for her.
- 25:09Speaker 14: She's having her own fashion moment. The hair and the wigs,
- 25:13Speaker 14: I mean those are all wigs. By the way, Mama
- 25:15Speaker 14: Dog I call myself Mamma dog.
- 25:16Speaker 8: Is something you don't know. Mamma Dog.
- 25:18Speaker 14: Randa up all night knows these things. She's wearing wigs,
- 25:22Speaker 14: the clothing, I don't know who's paying for those clothes.
- 25:25Speaker 14: Anybody ever talk about who's.
- 25:26Speaker 8: Paying for her clothes.
- 25:27Speaker 14: They're very expensive, very expensive, very very expensive. And the
- 25:32Speaker 14: hairdos you shoose wigs are those wigs are in the thousands,
- 25:35Speaker 14: every wig she wears. No one ever talks about the
- 25:38Speaker 14: fashion of these people, like most most people don't dress
- 25:42Speaker 14: up in Congress like her, But for her I get.
- 25:44Speaker 14: I get the biggest kick out of it because that's
- 25:45Speaker 14: what I do. The woman is a riot. The hairdo
- 25:48Speaker 14: yesterday when she was talking about oh no, I didn't
- 25:51Speaker 14: really mean to say differ the whole bs thing that
- 25:53Speaker 14: she was doing with that wig and my long hair
- 25:55Speaker 14: all the way down to her butt.
- 25:57Speaker 3: Yeah, she's a joke.
- 25:58Speaker 1: No, you bring up a good point. I can't think
- 26:00Speaker 1: of any congress person wearing very very expensive clothes. You
- 26:03Speaker 1: really don't see that anywhere.
- 26:05Speaker 14: Now, You really don't see them. And I love Pauline
- 26:07Speaker 14: a Luna because she's from my state. And I mean
- 26:09Speaker 14: she's beautiful. I mean if you just go by beauty
- 26:12Speaker 14: and she could. She was like, you know, I think
- 26:14Speaker 14: a model back in the day. She doesn't wear expensive
- 26:17Speaker 14: clothes or try to stand out. I mean she's wearing
- 26:19Speaker 14: yellows and shocking pinks and wigs, and every.
- 26:23Speaker 8: Day it's a different wigs. Some days it's parted on
- 26:25Speaker 8: by her ear, some days it's like not parted.
- 26:27Speaker 1: So anyway, I'm even multi zillionaire. And Nancy Pelosi wears
- 26:32Speaker 1: clothes from the estate of Edith Bunker or something.
- 26:37Speaker 14: Oh sorry, stop it, stop it dogs not you. Anyway,
- 26:42Speaker 14: they got excited over that. No, you're so funny.
- 26:44Speaker 8: I'm sorry.
- 26:45Speaker 14: I know that some jewelry that Nancy Pelosi wears is
- 26:48Speaker 14: very expensive, but I think it looks like Carnival beats
- 26:51Speaker 14: from New Orleans.
- 26:51Speaker 8: I'm just saying it's like the worst.
- 26:53Speaker 14: It's the worst, but forgetting her when she's just old.
- 26:56Speaker 8: And she wears old lady stuff.
- 26:57Speaker 14: But she really needs one of my bras because that
- 26:59Speaker 14: woman a lift. I mean, the boobs are like really
- 27:02Speaker 14: too long. I mean, I just just letting you know that.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Oh okay, I got her brad size. It's forty six long.
- 27:10Speaker 14: No, I really need to send some some bras to
- 27:13Speaker 14: Nancy from my line. And in the meantime, you've got
- 27:16Speaker 14: to I just want you to go back and do
- 27:17Speaker 14: like a style show of everything from Jasmine because it's
- 27:21Speaker 14: ridiculous and it's really expensive.
- 27:22Speaker 8: Let's find out who.
- 27:24Speaker 14: Is buying her clothing, who is buying her wigs.
- 27:28Speaker 8: Let's just find that out and I'll be very happy.
- 27:30Speaker 3: Right.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Some of these people have a lot of money, you know,
- 27:31Speaker 1: like Marjorie Taylor Green, very wealthy woman when she went
- 27:34Speaker 1: into congress.
- 27:35Speaker 14: Right, right, But I and I know Jasmine Crockett was
- 27:38Speaker 14: an attorney.
- 27:39Speaker 8: But really, I mean that still doesn't matter.
- 27:43Speaker 14: Those clothes are really expensive during COVID, and I had
- 27:46Speaker 14: to buy wigs. Those wigs are two thousand dollars apiece,
- 27:48Speaker 14: so just add those up.
- 27:49Speaker 8: Every day. She's a new wig.
- 27:50Speaker 3: You know.
- 27:50Speaker 1: When John Carey ran for president, the first thing he
- 27:54Speaker 1: told them is, you gotta stop wearing these clothes. These
- 27:55Speaker 1: are BRIONI suits, they're like seven. You can't wear these
- 27:58Speaker 1: are mes ties, they're three hundred. You got to get
- 28:00Speaker 1: American normal clothes. And he did it.
- 28:04Speaker 8: Well, it is true.
- 28:05Speaker 14: But I can tell you, you know, Trump, he's wearing your
- 28:08Speaker 14: expensive stuff.
- 28:08Speaker 8: But it looks it's the same thing every day. So no,
- 28:10Speaker 8: but he's actually.
- 28:11Speaker 1: Said, We've had him on the show talking about it.
- 28:13Speaker 1: He will never give into these consultants. He's gonna wear
- 28:16Speaker 1: his expensive clothes. He's never going to play in blue jeans.
- 28:19Speaker 1: He's not gonna wear a hunting jacket when he's in Iowa.
- 28:21Speaker 8: He just he never did.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Yeah, no, he won't do it.
- 28:23Speaker 8: He never did.
- 28:24Speaker 14: I love a song because the summers, the suits. But Kai,
- 28:27Speaker 14: can we just talk one second about Kai, and then
- 28:29Speaker 14: we have to promote my show.
- 28:30Speaker 1: His granddaughter Ki Trump is going to be the next
- 28:32Speaker 1: Tiger Woods, a champion golfer.
- 28:35Speaker 8: She could be the next president.
- 28:36Speaker 14: She can speak, she's so articulate, she does these tours
- 28:40Speaker 14: of the White House. She has so many followers, which
- 28:43Speaker 14: that's all, that's all people want now. And she's done
- 28:46Speaker 14: this because she's she's wonderful. Out of all the Trumps,
- 28:50Speaker 14: she is, so you want to watch her, You want
- 28:52Speaker 14: to keep watching her.
- 28:52Speaker 8: I've watched she and Trump.
- 28:54Speaker 14: Play golf together, like I watched eighteen Holes. That's how
- 28:57Speaker 14: entertaining she is. I mean, way more than him. And
- 29:01Speaker 14: she's just adorable. And then she's going to be Tiger
- 29:03Speaker 14: Wood's stepdaughter. I think it's so awesome.
- 29:07Speaker 1: Hey, it's a good point. Do you want to watch
- 29:08Speaker 1: Trump play golf? There's a bunch of YouTube videos where
- 29:10Speaker 1: they literally just follow him the whole eighteen holding can
- 29:12Speaker 1: watch the whole game, but you can hear. You can
- 29:15Speaker 1: hear the conversation, the dialogue. It's great stuff.
- 29:18Speaker 14: So he has a really interesting, you know, like swing.
- 29:21Speaker 14: Like I told my my husband's a really great golfer.
- 29:23Speaker 14: I'm like, what is that swing?
- 29:24Speaker 8: He goes, don't. I said, it's not like a full swing.
- 29:27Speaker 8: He goes, don't. Put that swing down. That swing is amazing.
- 29:29Speaker 8: He is accurate. Yeah, it's far.
- 29:31Speaker 1: I used to play with him when he was a
- 29:33Speaker 1: younger guy and had an incredible, real pro swing. But
- 29:36Speaker 1: when you get to be heavier in you're seventy nine,
- 29:39Speaker 1: you got to, you know, adjust it down. But your
- 29:42Speaker 1: husbands are kept like as much as you could keep
- 29:44Speaker 1: of that swing.
- 29:46Speaker 14: No, he's really entertainment and she's amazing. So it is
- 29:48Speaker 14: a golfing fam it's a sporty family. I just love
- 29:51Speaker 14: watching them. I think they're just so intriguing. That guy,
- 29:53Speaker 14: I'm a major.
- 29:54Speaker 8: Fan of her.
- 29:54Speaker 14: So if anybody hasn't followed her, they should, because she
- 29:57Speaker 14: takes you into the White House, she takes you behind
- 29:59Speaker 14: the scenes, she does her makeup and shows how bad
- 30:01Speaker 14: the bathrooms are.
- 30:04Speaker 8: He really needs he.
- 30:05Speaker 14: Really does need to renovate the you know, bathrooms are
- 30:07Speaker 14: the first thing people renovate homes. Those bathrooms are really
- 30:10Speaker 14: they're from like the eighteen hundreds.
- 30:13Speaker 8: Thank goodness, he's doing a bathroom.
- 30:14Speaker 14: Everything he's doing about that is right, and he should
- 30:16Speaker 14: leave that legacy the most beautiful you know, the United
- 30:20Speaker 14: States of America.
- 30:20Speaker 8: We should have the most.
- 30:21Speaker 14: Amazing ballroom to be able to receive all of these
- 30:24Speaker 14: dignitaries from all over the world.
- 30:25Speaker 8: So I love that about him.
- 30:26Speaker 1: He class.
- 30:27Speaker 8: Let him leave his mark, let him leave his gold everywhere.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Hey, Rod, this year is coming up all night. The

- 31:01Speaker 14: finally being funny, not like Saturday Night Live. It's all political.

- 31:40Speaker 14: are amazing and it's blowing up.
- 31:43Speaker 3: Mark.
- 31:43Speaker 8: You got to come on the show.
- 31:44Speaker 1: I'll come on. I was on your show a couple
- 31:47Speaker 1: months ago.
- 31:47Speaker 9: It was very good. You are.
- 31:48Speaker 14: I'm going to put you in the Magic Heart, which
- 31:50Speaker 14: is really cool. We have fun, so I know you
- 31:52Speaker 14: have a great sense of humor about all of this,
- 31:54Speaker 14: So thank you for plugging that. And I want everybody
- 31:57Speaker 14: to eat a traduck in for Thanksgiving. And I see,
- 32:01Speaker 14: I knew you wouldn't know that. You're so non Southern.
- 32:04Speaker 14: A tur ducan is a chicken inside of a duck,
- 32:09Speaker 14: inside of a turkey, and then it's cooked. It's either
- 32:12Speaker 14: baked or it's fried, and and all of those meats
- 32:16Speaker 14: of like the duck.
- 32:18Speaker 8: Makes the turkey so moist. It's completely Cajun and you
- 32:21Speaker 8: can get it. You can even google it right now,
- 32:24Speaker 8: can ducan?
- 32:27Speaker 14: It sounds such a snob terrible. You don't eat, it's
- 32:35Speaker 14: just eating pure and youm I'm gonna cook for you
- 32:38Speaker 14: my gumbo one day.
- 32:39Speaker 8: Mark, don't worry.
- 32:39Speaker 1: Him, gumbo fan. Although I like that Paul Prudom, he
- 32:43Speaker 1: was a great cook. I liked him.

- 32:47Speaker 14: gonna love my Turduckan and everybody out there go try
- 32:49Speaker 14: it to duck and it's great.
- 32:50Speaker 8: Don't listen to Mark. You can be a little snobby
- 32:52Speaker 8: about his food.
- 32:53Speaker 1: But if you're in the middle of New York City,
- 32:55Speaker 1: I defy you to go find a tra duck in anywhere.

- 34:00Speaker 1: back after the news seven to ten wr SO, Mark
- 34:04Speaker 1: Simone Show on seven tenor Hey, it's Friday, the week
- 34:14Speaker 1: before Thanksgiving. I just texted doctor Keith Ablow he'll come
- 34:18Speaker 1: on with us Monday. He's one of the great psychiatrists
- 34:20Speaker 1: in the world. Psychologists. He's done incredible work on Trump
- 34:26Speaker 1: derangement syndrome. What causes it exactly? What is it about
- 34:31Speaker 1: this guy that sets you crazy liberals off so much?
- 34:35Speaker 1: We'll get to that. Also, he'd give us some advice
- 34:38Speaker 1: on if you're going to Thanksgiving dinner, how not to
- 34:41Speaker 1: fight with your relatives, how not to get crazy. You know,
- 34:44Speaker 1: it's if you do this for a living, this kind
- 34:47Speaker 1: of stuff, you don't ever talk about it off the year.
- 34:50Speaker 1: You don't sit there and discuss politics with a bunch
- 34:52Speaker 1: of people that you know are basically just amateurs, and
- 34:57Speaker 1: you don't care what anybody thinks him. It's fine. I mean,
- 34:59Speaker 1: you know, people can if I've been at the party
- 35:03Speaker 1: or something said Trump is the worst nightmare. He's a
- 35:05Speaker 1: threat to democracy. I can't sleep at night. I just
- 35:08Speaker 1: go yeah, me too, and just walk away. Don't don't
- 35:11Speaker 1: even argue it, don't even bother with them. I love
- 35:14Speaker 1: the New York Yankees, And sometimes you'll be standing there
- 35:17Speaker 1: and say, yank terrible. I mean, I love the Mets.
- 35:21Speaker 1: I don't get mad. It's fine. You love the Mets
- 35:24Speaker 1: that you hate Trump, you'll ave biding. Fine, don't just
- 35:29Speaker 1: just don't. Don't even worry about it. But we'll talk
- 35:32Speaker 1: to a professional, a real expert, on Monday about what
- 35:35Speaker 1: to do about that at at a Thanksgiving dinner. Now
- 35:40Speaker 1: here's the latest Trump controversy. These handful of people in
- 35:44Speaker 1: Congress put out this video telling the troops not to
- 35:47Speaker 1: listen to orders if they think they're not legal. If
- 35:51Speaker 1: you're in the military, if you're a military person, if
- 35:55Speaker 1: you're there and the commander gives you an order, if
- 35:58Speaker 1: you don't feel it's legal, this people in Congress, men
- 36:01Speaker 1: and women in Congress, don't follow it. Don't follow any
- 36:06Speaker 1: order you think is illegal, and we'll have your back.
- 36:09Speaker 1: It's a ridiculous video to put out. This is horrible.
- 36:13Speaker 1: First of all, you're a soldier servant in the middle
- 36:16Speaker 1: of something. You're not a lawyer. You know you can't
- 36:18Speaker 1: actually evaluate correctly is this legal or illegal? And you
- 36:23Speaker 1: never tell the troops to disobey orders. It's just absolutely ridiculous.
- 36:27Speaker 1: So why would they do such a dumb thing. Well,
- 36:32Speaker 1: probably they were trolling Trump. This is the age of
- 36:35Speaker 1: a tweeting and trolling and that kind of stuff. So
- 36:38Speaker 1: they're probably trying to get into his head or get
- 36:40Speaker 1: under his skin or make him overreact, and he did.
- 36:44Speaker 1: He overreacted like crazy. I mean, he should have attacked him,
- 36:49Speaker 1: really attacked him for this. But he said, this is treason,
- 36:53Speaker 1: this is sedition. Actually, if you tell our military to
- 36:57Speaker 1: disobey orders, He's got a point there, it's treason, it's edition.
- 37:02Speaker 1: But he did point out sedition is treason is punishable
- 37:10Speaker 1: by death. Okay, well that's the law. But then they're
- 37:13Speaker 1: claiming he called for their execution. He told the said
- 37:16Speaker 1: they should, we should hang them. He didn't say that,
- 37:19Speaker 1: but he what he did was wrong. There was somebody
- 37:22Speaker 1: that tweeted that. It said hang them. George Washington would
- 37:27Speaker 1: have which is true, George Washington would hang you for that.
- 37:31Speaker 1: But Trump we retweeted it. You know, if the president
- 37:33Speaker 1: United States, you're not supposed to retweet that kind of stuff.
- 37:37Speaker 1: So Trump was wrong, shouldn't have done it, went too far.
- 37:40Speaker 1: But that's Trump. He's done it before. I can't honestly
- 37:48Speaker 1: tell you if he does it deliberately or if he
- 37:50Speaker 1: just gets carried away, or he has this thing about
- 37:54Speaker 1: being the main story in every news cycle every day
- 37:59Speaker 1: he wants to be the lead story on the news
- 38:01Speaker 1: every day. He wants to put on any news talk channel, Fox,
- 38:08Speaker 1: MSN and be the lead story any day. So you're
- 38:10Speaker 1: not supposed to do that. You know, first role of
- 38:12Speaker 1: publicity when you need it. You know, if you're a
- 38:15Speaker 1: big star and your new movies coming out, suddenly you're everywhere.
- 38:19Speaker 1: You're on every show, You're on every TV show, you're
- 38:22Speaker 1: in a paper magazine, You're everywhere for two three weeks
- 38:26Speaker 1: plugging your new book, your new movie, and then you
- 38:28Speaker 1: go away for a couple of months, and then you
- 38:31Speaker 1: come back, you know, when Taylor Swift needs some publicity.
- 38:34Speaker 1: That's all you see is Taylor Swift for a week,
- 38:37Speaker 1: and then there'll be a month where you don't. He's
- 38:39Speaker 1: supposed to go away for a while. Trump doesn't believe
- 38:41Speaker 1: that theory. He thinks do it every day. He's been
- 38:44Speaker 1: doing it every day for forty years. So that's one
- 38:46Speaker 1: reason he goes over the top with these with these
- 38:49Speaker 1: crazy things, and they're all over the place, yelling and screaming.
- 38:54Speaker 1: There he was calling for their execution. Then you get
- 38:57Speaker 1: the quiet to quiet Mike Johnson, who's got to jump into.
- 39:01Speaker 16: This sometimes he uses heated rhetoric. Okay, but do any
- 39:05Speaker 16: of you agree that that's appropriate, that they should be
- 39:07Speaker 16: telling young members of the military to defy orders. You
- 39:10Speaker 16: should think about the implications of that. The President's trying
- 39:13Speaker 16: to make a point. I think he made the point.
- 39:14Speaker 16: I'm glad you're all covering it. You need to criticize
- 39:17Speaker 16: and ask the questions of the Democrats, not the Republicans.
- 39:19Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, so listen, he was wrong, but they were
- 39:22Speaker 1: wrong too. Everybody was wrong in this. Caroline Levitt had
- 39:26Speaker 1: to respond.
- 39:26Speaker 4: They are literally saying to one point three million active
- 39:29Speaker 4: duty service members not to defy the chain of command,
- 39:34Speaker 4: not to follow lawful orders.
- 39:36Speaker 8: Every single refuse an illegal order.
- 39:39Speaker 4: But they're suggesting, they're suggesting, Nancy, that the president has
- 39:44Speaker 4: given illegal orders, which he has not. Every single order
- 39:47Speaker 4: that is given to this United States Military by this
- 39:49Speaker 4: Commander in chief and through this command, chain of command,
- 39:52Speaker 4: through the Secretary of War is lawful.
- 39:55Speaker 1: Yeah, that these kindless people were absolutely wrong to do this.
- 39:58Speaker 1: Their claim is, well, we only meant if they're there
- 40:00Speaker 1: is an illegal order. Well, nobody's ever seen an illegal order.
- 40:04Speaker 1: And here's the real key to this. They've been running
- 40:06Speaker 1: around doing TV shows. That's the whole reason they did this,
- 40:09Speaker 1: to give themselves a lot of publicity, and all of
- 40:11Speaker 1: a sudden, they're all over TV, and a couple of
- 40:13Speaker 1: times on TV they said, well, when you say an
- 40:16Speaker 1: illegal order, give us an example of what you were
- 40:18Speaker 1: talking about. And they couldn't think of an example. It's
- 40:20Speaker 1: never happened. Nobody could point to anything they when asked
- 40:25Speaker 1: about it. When they were asked about it, they could
- 40:27Speaker 1: not give an answer that question. They couldn't point to
- 40:30Speaker 1: any illegal order. So nobody knows exactly what the hell
- 40:33Speaker 1: they were talking about. Hey, Jasmine Crockett, this an absolute
- 40:39Speaker 1: bumbling idiot. Is the one that claimed Jeffrey Epstein donated
- 40:44Speaker 1: to Lee Zelden. Well, it's not true. It's a different
- 40:47Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein. It's a doctor in Long Island. And at
- 40:51Speaker 1: the time of the donation, the real Jeffrey Epstein had
- 40:56Speaker 1: been dead for like four years, so obviously he's dead,
- 40:59Speaker 1: he's not donating. When she was asked about it.
- 41:01Speaker 13: I never said that it was that Jeffrey Epstein. My team.
- 41:04Speaker 13: What they did is they googled, and that is specifically
- 41:06Speaker 13: why I said a Jeffrey Epstein unlike Republicans. I at
- 41:10Speaker 13: least don't go out and just tell lies because it
- 41:13Speaker 13: was not the same one.
- 41:14Speaker 5: That's fine.
- 41:14Speaker 13: But when Lee Zelden had something to say, all he
- 41:17Speaker 13: had to say was it was a different jeff Jeffrey Epstein.
- 41:20Speaker 13: He admitted that he did receive donations from a Jeffrey Epstein,
- 41:24Speaker 13: So at least I wasn't trying to mislead people.
- 41:26Speaker 1: Yeah, she's getting awards now for what is possibly the
- 41:30Speaker 1: dumbest excuse anybody's ever heard. It was one incredibly stupid excuse.
- 41:36Speaker 1: I think this is where she originally said.
- 41:37Speaker 13: It folks who also took money from somebody named Jeffrey Epstein.
- 41:42Speaker 13: As I had my team dig in very quickly, met Romney,
- 41:46Speaker 13: the NRCC, Lee Zelden, George Bush.
- 41:52Speaker 1: Yeah, of course it's a different Jeffrey Epstein. But she
- 41:56Speaker 1: was asked about it.
- 41:57Speaker 13: Do you want to correct the record on the people
- 41:59Speaker 13: that I never said that it was that Jeffrey Epstein.
- 42:01Speaker 1: Yeah, yes you did. I mean, it's an incredibly stupid excuse,
- 42:08Speaker 1: absolutely ridiculous. Hey, when it comes to exercise, now, you
- 42:13Speaker 1: think you're supposed to be like sweating in the gym,
- 42:15Speaker 1: You're supposed to be out there running three miles, you're
- 42:17Speaker 1: supposed to be sweating. And well, there's all kinds of
- 42:23Speaker 1: new studies out now showing that the best exercise what
- 42:27Speaker 1: they call zone zero exercise. It's more gentle, slower, as
- 42:31Speaker 1: long as it's just real exercise, as long as you're walking.
- 42:34Speaker 1: A lot of people just try walking now instead of running.
- 42:37Speaker 1: But if you do a lot of walking, you're supposed
- 42:39Speaker 1: to do ten thousand steps. You try to do fifteen
- 42:42Speaker 1: thousand every day. But that kind of stuff, and there's
- 42:44Speaker 1: all kinds of new studies, scientific studies showing that can
- 42:47Speaker 1: be just as beneficial and in some ways more beneficial,
- 42:51Speaker 1: especially when you get older, that the most important exercise
- 42:54Speaker 1: is what they call zone zero. It's gentle exercise, stretching, walking,
- 42:58Speaker 1: light yoga or just like gardening, that kind of stuff. Movement,
- 43:02Speaker 1: lots of movement. You don't have to be sweating, just
- 43:06Speaker 1: constant movement. It improves circulation, regulates blood sugar, lowers cardiovascular risk,
- 43:12Speaker 1: eases stress, supports mental health. So you know, go to
- 43:16Speaker 1: the gym. Now that some studies say, well once a
- 43:18Speaker 1: week or once all you got to go do some
- 43:19Speaker 1: real exercise in a gym. But most important thing daily
- 43:23Speaker 1: is just gentle exercise, whether it's just a lot of
- 43:26Speaker 1: walking or stretching, it's very very important. Movement doesn't have
- 43:32Speaker 1: to be hard. According to study, gentle regular activity still
- 43:36Speaker 1: counts and can give you major health benefits. Also, you'll
- 43:40Speaker 1: lose weight doing that. You won't have to take that
- 43:42Speaker 1: stupid ozempic. There's one side effect after another coming from
- 43:47Speaker 1: that ozempic. You know, there's ozempic face where you just
- 43:51Speaker 1: your face looks older, your skin gets droopy. Another problem
- 43:56Speaker 1: now dentists reporting ozempic teeth. The side effects of not
- 44:01Speaker 1: just ozempic, but all those GLP injections can lead to
- 44:06Speaker 1: dry mouth. There's an active ingredient that affects the salivary
- 44:11Speaker 1: glands that'll give you the dry mouth, and that causes
- 44:14Speaker 1: all kinds of problems with your gums and your teeth.
- 44:19Speaker 1: The medications also cause people to drink less water. They'll
- 44:23Speaker 1: be less thirsty, so this increases the risk of cavities,
- 44:26Speaker 1: gum disease. You know who loves ozempic of these plastic
- 44:29Speaker 1: surgeons because they got to fix the skin that ozempic face,
- 44:33Speaker 1: and now dentists love it, creating more work for them. Hey,
- 44:37Speaker 1: the TV show Boston Blue. Well, I've been watching it.
- 44:41Speaker 1: It's pretty good. It's like I think the fifth episode
- 44:44Speaker 1: is on Tonight's instead of Blue Bloods. You know, for
- 44:47Speaker 1: fourteen years it was Blue Bloods every Friday night at ten.
- 44:52Speaker 1: I missed that show. Love watching the reruns. But it's
- 44:55Speaker 1: Boston Blue. It's Danny Reagan now in Boston. It's pretty good.
- 45:00Speaker 1: It's not Blue Bloods, but it's pretty good. I do
- 45:03Speaker 1: watch it now every week. And one time Bridget moynihan
- 45:07Speaker 1: made a cameo from the original Blue blood series. What
- 45:12Speaker 1: about Tom Selleck? Will he do it well? He was
- 45:14Speaker 1: asked the question sounds like no. He was pretty blunt,
- 45:19Speaker 1: pretty blunt. He seems kind of angry. Selick is not
- 45:21Speaker 1: happy that CBS canceled Blue Bloods, and he said, I
- 45:27Speaker 1: think it's partly my lot in life to make sure
- 45:31Speaker 1: Blue Bloods has its place in television history. But I
- 45:35Speaker 1: don't think it's my lot in life to keep playing
- 45:38Speaker 1: Frank Reagan. He makes it pretty clear he's not interested
- 45:42Speaker 1: in doing Boston Blue, and he can't explain he's still mad.
- 45:46Speaker 1: It was one of CBS's top top shows, one of
- 45:50Speaker 1: like the five highest rated shows in television. He can't
- 45:53Speaker 1: believe they canceled it. He says, I still don't know
- 45:55Speaker 1: why CBS did it. Actually points out if you get
- 46:00Speaker 1: a football, he was the like the sixth most popular
- 46:02Speaker 1: series in all of television. I don't know where my
- 46:05Speaker 1: next job will be, he said, I'd love a good western.
- 46:08Speaker 1: I want to sit on a horse again. What does
- 46:10Speaker 1: anybody want to do a western? They look terrible and
- 46:13Speaker 1: they don't want to see in a western. I love
- 46:15Speaker 1: to do another comedy. He's very good in comedy. Remember
- 46:18Speaker 1: Friends and Hey, remember he was He was on Boston
- 46:20Speaker 1: Legal for a while. He was pretty good on that show.
- 46:23Speaker 1: But why did CBS cancel it? Because nobody watches TV anymore.
- 46:28Speaker 1: It's people don't watch network television. They're all streaming and
- 46:32Speaker 1: all that stuff, but they're not watching ABC, CBS or
- 46:36Speaker 1: NBC much anymore. And you can't afford to do these
- 46:39Speaker 1: really expensive shows. You know, when you do a game show,
- 46:42Speaker 1: it doesn't cost much money. You know, you build one
- 46:46Speaker 1: set that last year for seven years, just that one set,
- 46:50Speaker 1: and you don't have to pay the people very much,
- 46:52Speaker 1: even the celebrities to come on a game show. It's
- 46:54Speaker 1: it's like a late night talk show. You're paying them
- 46:56Speaker 1: basically scale. It doesn't cost you anything. You do Blue
- 46:59Speaker 1: Bloods or any drama or Law and Order spending a fortune.
- 47:03Speaker 1: You got to make a movie every week, you gotta
- 47:05Speaker 1: spend millions out in the street car chases. You ever
- 47:08Speaker 1: see him film a movie out in the street. It's
- 47:11Speaker 1: fifty trucks, it's twenty seven trailers, it's one hundred people
- 47:15Speaker 1: out there. You know what that costs to do that.
- 47:17Speaker 1: That's not one scene. You got to do like thirty
- 47:19Speaker 1: seven scenes for each show. So it costs a fortune.
- 47:22Speaker 1: That's why you don't see Blue Bloods anymore. Boston Blue
- 47:25Speaker 1: it's a cheaper version.
- 47:28Speaker 3: All.
- 47:28Speaker 1: They still got to do those chasings, but they're smaller
- 47:30Speaker 1: chase scenes and you don't have to pay a whole cast.
- 47:33Speaker 1: Remember Blue Blood's had like eight stars all getting seven figures.
- 47:38Speaker 1: This is one star maybe getting seven figures. And that's
- 47:42Speaker 1: about it. So today's the meeting, Mom, Donnie and Trump.
- 47:46Speaker 1: It'll take place at three o'clock today. They'll meet in
- 47:50Speaker 1: the Oval Office. It's closed to the press. Now here's
- 47:55Speaker 1: the deal. President Trump knows if they open it to
- 47:58Speaker 1: the press, and there's video and pictures, it will elevate
- 48:02Speaker 1: Mam Donnie's status in the world. You know, when you're
- 48:05Speaker 1: sitting on that yellow couch in the Oval Office talking
- 48:08Speaker 1: to the President, it gives you a gravitas. There you
- 48:12Speaker 1: are on the couch where the world leaders sit, talking
- 48:14Speaker 1: to the President of the United States. So those photographs
- 48:18Speaker 1: will really really elevate the status of Mam Donni. So
- 48:21Speaker 1: it's closed to the press. However, at the end of
- 48:25Speaker 1: the meeting, president can decide depending on how it goes,
- 48:30Speaker 1: he can decide to bring the press in to take
- 48:32Speaker 1: those pictures or do that video. They can even go
- 48:36Speaker 1: live on TV. So at the end of the meeting,
- 48:39Speaker 1: depending on what happens, the President will decide if he
- 48:42Speaker 1: wants to bring them in, and it will it will
- 48:46Speaker 1: make Mam Donnie look important. Now, the other thing you
- 48:51Speaker 1: got to watch for is who else is in the room,
- 48:52Speaker 1: Mam Donnie. And the President always tells you when you
- 48:55Speaker 1: come to me, when he invites you to a meeting,
- 48:56Speaker 1: he'll say, bring whoever you want. Says that very often,
- 48:59Speaker 1: so Mom Donna, he can bring his team. But if
- 49:03Speaker 1: he looks to the you know, he'll be on this couch.
- 49:05Speaker 1: If he looks over at the other couch and it's J. D.
- 49:07Speaker 1: Vance and Steven Miller and Tom Holman. I don't think
- 49:11Speaker 1: Mom done will like that. So I don't know what's
- 49:13Speaker 1: going to happen, but we'll find out. At three o'clock today,
- 49:17Speaker 1: we'll take some calls. Next eight hundred three to two
- 49:19Speaker 1: one zero seven. Ton is the number eight hundred three
- 49:23Speaker 1: two one zero seven ten in Mark on Demand by
- 49:28Speaker 1: setting up presad for his podcast on the iHeartRadio app.
- 49:32Speaker 17: Now back to Mark Simone on wor.
- 49:36Speaker 1: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Stuart, South Carolina. Stuart,
- 49:40Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 49:41Speaker 15: Hey?
- 49:41Speaker 3: Mark?
- 49:41Speaker 14: Here?
- 49:42Speaker 18: You do you remember Lieutenant Colonel Stuart, Marine Corps colonel
- 49:47Speaker 18: who complained about the Afghanistan withdrawal and how it was
- 49:51Speaker 18: an absolute disaster. They charged and court martialed him under
- 49:56Speaker 18: the UCMJ and discharged him from the military because he
- 50:00Speaker 18: actually spoke the truth and said what a disaster this is.
- 50:03Speaker 18: You know, I'm a Vietnam veteran. Both my parents Yeah
- 50:08Speaker 18: actually yeah.
- 50:09Speaker 3: On our site.
- 50:11Speaker 18: Yeah, well believe it or not. Yeah, well sometimes Bobby
- 50:15Speaker 18: seventy two, so I am of that age. But yeah,
- 50:18Speaker 18: you know, it's just unbelievable that these these Democrats would
- 50:22Speaker 18: tell people to disregard orders. I mean, it is phenomenal.
- 50:28Speaker 18: These people have become the enemy of the United States.
- 50:31Speaker 18: I think they've they've gone out of their ever loving minds.
- 50:35Speaker 1: I think, yeah, they've just gone it's Trump arrangement syndrome.
- 50:37Speaker 1: They've literally gone absolutely all right, Stuart, thanks for Colin.
- 50:41Speaker 1: Let's go to Mike and Florida. Mike, how you doing,
- 50:44Speaker 1: Good morning, Mark, Mike.
- 50:47Speaker 9: Regard regarding that same subject, I think there's another motive
- 50:50Speaker 9: that you can add to why Trump responds the way
- 50:53Speaker 9: that he does, and he's because he's noted for years
- 50:56Speaker 9: that Republicans, as they're getting bludgeoned by the Democrat and
- 51:00Speaker 9: the press and the mass media and getting the you know,
- 51:03Speaker 9: you know what kicked out of them, they never responded
- 51:06Speaker 9: in kind. They were always always very polite and genteel
- 51:09Speaker 9: and gentlemanly and we'll just stick to the you know facts.
- 51:13Speaker 9: And it got them nowhere. And I think he sees
- 51:16Speaker 9: that you have to fight fire with fire because if
- 51:18Speaker 9: you don't respond or it gets you is Rachel Maddow
- 51:21Speaker 9: shows up at your funeral when you're dead, and that's it.
- 51:25Speaker 1: That's good, good way to put it. Thanks for calling.
- 51:27Speaker 1: Let's go to Dave in Chicago. Dave, how you doing.
- 51:30Speaker 3: Good morning, Mark. I'm doing very well, Thank you Mark.
- 51:33Speaker 3: As we know recently in the.
- 51:34Speaker 17: News that Joe Biden took a ride on an Amtrak
- 51:37Speaker 17: train with a reporter, my question is did the Secret
- 51:41Speaker 17: Service screen all of the passengers before the trip? And finally,
- 51:46Speaker 17: how much of Biden's family still receive Secret Service protection?
- 51:50Speaker 1: Well, you see the wife, the kids, it's a good question. Yeah,
- 51:53Speaker 1: he was on a friend Brookes Singman, the great reporter
- 51:56Speaker 1: Fox News, was riding Amtrak going down to Washington, and
- 52:01Speaker 1: there was Joe Biden and she just gets a ticket,
- 52:04Speaker 1: goes to her seat and who's the guy next to her,
- 52:06Speaker 1: Joe Biden. It's kind of sad. This guy's a former president.
- 52:10Speaker 1: And normally when you're a former president, you got lots
- 52:12Speaker 1: of wealthy friends who want to take care of everything
- 52:14Speaker 1: for you. Here's what to borrow my plane whenever you want,
- 52:17Speaker 1: use my how everybody's given you everything when you're a
- 52:20Speaker 1: former president. But not Biden. Not Joe Biden got no
- 52:24Speaker 1: use for him. He's been seeing flying coach on an
- 52:26Speaker 1: airplane's he's been seeing Take a look at the Brooks
- 52:29Speaker 1: Singman's Instagram. There there she is sitting next to Joe
- 52:32Speaker 1: Biden on the Amtrak. It's a sad, sad case. Let's
- 52:36Speaker 1: go to Bob and New Rochelle. Bob, how you doing.
- 52:40Speaker 15: I'm good and well, I'm good. Hey, Look, I got
- 52:41Speaker 15: a question for you. You talking about Blue buzzes a lot
- 52:43Speaker 15: and how these shy disappear because it's so expensive to
- 52:46Speaker 15: make those scenes. Do you think at some point AI
- 52:50Speaker 15: or place all that no unit that way.
- 52:52Speaker 1: That's an interesting question. Yeah, you could do it with AI.
- 52:55Speaker 1: You could have these guys just in a studio with
- 52:58Speaker 1: a green screen and then a I'll put in all
- 53:00Speaker 1: the car chase and all that. Yeah, you could do that,
- 53:03Speaker 1: But then you got all these Hollywood unions. You're gonna
- 53:05Speaker 1: have to battle, and that's a big fight. That's the
- 53:08Speaker 1: reason it's so expensive to do all these shows. That's
- 53:10Speaker 1: why some of these shows go up and do it
- 53:12Speaker 1: in Toronto. In fact, I think some of that Boston Blue,
- 53:15Speaker 1: most of that's done in Toronto. It's a lot cheaper
- 53:17Speaker 1: up there, less union costs. Let's go to Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent,
- 53:23Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 53:24Speaker 6: Good morning, Mark, Good morning, Mara opposite to what Stewart
- 53:28Speaker 6: said about the patriot who talked about the disastrous withdrawal
- 53:33Speaker 6: from Afghanistan and that they hung that guy out to dry.
- 53:37Speaker 6: The only real unconstitutional order I could think of what
- 53:41Speaker 6: the military was. And you'll remember this when that sergeant
- 53:45Speaker 6: ordered the Meli massacre during the Vietnam War. And there
- 53:49Speaker 6: the sergeant, I forget what his name, and he was
- 53:52Speaker 6: prosecuted for that. Remember that the meal I met when
- 53:55Speaker 6: he mowed down all those peasants, he ordered his troops
- 53:58Speaker 6: to do that. Mark. Everyone knows Katy Hulko doesn't have
- 54:03Speaker 6: a spine and isn't the brightest light bulb in the box.
- 54:08Speaker 6: The other night, try to make a case for Zora
- 54:11Speaker 6: Mundani's universal daycare and for her raising the corporate tax
- 54:19Speaker 6: on the corporations and everything, because she's scouted all the jobs,
- 54:24Speaker 6: mainly city union jobs. Where first off, where they're gonna
- 54:31Speaker 6: put these daycare centers. A lot of these private daycare
- 54:34Speaker 6: centers a dumpson. They're just ripe with fraud. And another
- 54:39Speaker 6: thing didn't miss bright over there, take into account all
- 54:44Speaker 6: the corporations that or are already moving down to Florida
- 54:50Speaker 6: and Texas, Dad, are gonna move out of New York
- 54:53Speaker 6: and you're gonna lose that revenue. She's talking about the
- 54:56Speaker 6: revenue gained, What about the revenue lost?
- 55:00Speaker 1: Talking about high level management. This is not her game.
- 55:02Speaker 1: Her game is just politics, campaigning. Same thing with Mom Donnie.
- 55:05Speaker 1: They've never known these two have never managed anything. They've
- 55:08Speaker 1: never been managers. It's just what sounds good in the campaign.
- 55:11Speaker 1: What's the what campaign promise sounds right? Executing? Managing? It's
- 55:16Speaker 1: not their field. But de Vincent could point. Hey, when
- 55:19Speaker 1: we come back. Steve Cuzo, the great New York Post reporter,
- 55:22Speaker 1: nobody better on restaurants, on real estate, on New York.
- 55:26Speaker 1: We'll see what he says about the coming Mom Donnie
- 55:30Speaker 1: situation for business. We'll get to all of that next
- 55:33Speaker 1: on seven to ten.
- 55:34Speaker 12: Wor Mark Simone wr Well.
- 55:41Speaker 1: Steve Cuzel, the great New York Post column this nobody
- 55:44Speaker 1: better on restaurants, the real estate on New York. Stuff
- 55:47Speaker 1: is columns. You can read them all. They're in the
- 55:49Speaker 1: New York Post website. Steve Cuzoh, how you doing.
- 55:53Speaker 3: I'm great, Mark. Thanks, So it's hard to live up
- 55:55Speaker 3: to that doing. I'll try them. You'll do it.
- 55:58Speaker 1: You'll Hey, you're just back from London. Yeah, all on Instagram,
- 56:03Speaker 1: great pictures. But were there any English speaking people left
- 56:06Speaker 1: in London?
- 56:07Speaker 3: Well that's the thing I tell friends who haven't been
- 56:09Speaker 3: to London a long time. I say, I tell them
- 56:12Speaker 3: English is widely spoken. Now that's supposed to be a joke,
- 56:15Speaker 3: because it is, after all, London. It's England, you know.
- 56:19Speaker 3: So yes, English is still widely spoken, but not universally,
- 56:23Speaker 3: no like New York was it.
- 56:26Speaker 1: But all the great old London places they're not. They've
- 56:30Speaker 1: been overtaken by all kinds of new places. What's what's
- 56:33Speaker 1: good over there?
- 56:34Speaker 3: Well? So what's new? Oh? So many great restaurants. But
- 56:37Speaker 3: the most interesting single thing, in my view is the
- 56:40Speaker 3: former American Embassy in Grove Most Square, which had been
- 56:44Speaker 3: there for I don't know. That was our embassy there
- 56:46Speaker 3: for a million years. The embassy moved away about ten
- 56:49Speaker 3: years ago to a new location. The building was a
- 56:53Speaker 3: giant brutalist style kind of a hulking building. It was
- 56:58Speaker 3: never well loved and uh but then Katari UH Fund
- 57:05Speaker 3: bought it and converted the whole property. God knows how
- 57:10Speaker 3: much it might must have cost into a spectacular new
- 57:15Speaker 3: Rosewood managed hotel.
- 57:18Speaker 9: Uh.
- 57:18Speaker 3: You know, Rosewood is one of the premier hotel companies
- 57:21Speaker 3: in the world. The Carlisle, New York, and I mean
- 57:25Speaker 3: they operate the Carlisle and it's called the Chancery. That's
- 57:30Speaker 3: the end of the new hotel. And when you go
- 57:32Speaker 3: into the building, you can't believe that this was once
- 57:35Speaker 3: this miserable, you know interior where people would line up for,
- 57:39Speaker 3: you know, to get their passports renewed. They created a
- 57:42Speaker 3: they card that an atrium. It's it's all soft and warm,
- 57:46Speaker 3: unlike the you know, the kind of still brooding exterior.
- 57:50Speaker 3: The interior is all warmth and light and they have
- 57:53Speaker 3: five restaurants, including a Carbone from New York. I didn't
- 57:58Speaker 3: eat there, but we did to eat at a wonderful
- 58:01Speaker 3: Mediterranean restaurant in the hotel called Sarah. And they have
- 58:05Speaker 3: a rooftop lounge called Eagle or the Eagle, because it's
- 58:10Speaker 3: got the giant gold eagle that was there during the
- 58:15Speaker 3: years that the building was the Embassy. And apparently this
- 58:18Speaker 3: giant eagle is made out of B fifty two parts
- 58:23Speaker 3: and it's a lounge and it's like it's a rooftop
- 58:26Speaker 3: lounge like the ones that we have, that so many
- 58:29Speaker 3: are in New York and all together it's a must
- 58:32Speaker 3: see for people in visiting London who haven't been there
- 58:36Speaker 3: for a couple of years. The hotel opened only a
- 58:38Speaker 3: few months ago.
- 58:39Speaker 1: Yeah, that's chancery. Hey, you know, it's fascinating. The rooftop
- 58:44Speaker 1: of every office building was the water tower, the AC system,
- 58:48Speaker 1: what they call the mechanicals. It wasn't ntill like two
- 58:51Speaker 1: thousand and two that anybody figured out put the restaurant
- 58:54Speaker 1: on the rooftop, put the bar on the rooftop, and.
- 58:56Speaker 3: Put the bars up there. It's incredible. New York City
- 58:59Speaker 3: and manhatt and then parts of Brooklyn and even a
- 59:01Speaker 3: few parts of Queens in Flushing have rooftop miss and
- 59:07Speaker 3: that this is space that previously was used for nothing,
- 59:11Speaker 3: mechanical uses or whatever. And one of the first transformations
- 59:17Speaker 3: my late friend Steve the Greenberg created I think it's
- 59:21Speaker 3: two thirty fifth Avenue and I think it was called
- 59:24Speaker 3: two thirty fifth rooftop. And since then there are a
- 59:28Speaker 3: gazillion of them. And I was amused in London because
- 59:31Speaker 3: our British friends there were absolutely flabbergasted at the views
- 59:36Speaker 3: from the roof of the you know, the Eagle on
- 59:38Speaker 3: top of the Chancery Hotel, and it's a nice view,
- 59:42Speaker 3: but nothing compared to the ones we have in New York.
- 59:45Speaker 3: There's one hotel I don't remember the name of it.
- 59:48Speaker 3: It's Canal Street and the Bowery that has a rooftop
- 59:53Speaker 3: lounge that is simply not to be believed, facing both
- 59:57Speaker 3: Brooklyn and Manhattan. Nothing like it in the world. So
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: it's all good time stuff.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: Yeah, Hey, Steve Kesa were talking about this yesterday. Masa,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: the Japanese restaurant Time Warner Center, nine hundred dollars a
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: person got wiped.
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: Out more than that, more than that twelve.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: Hundred with tax and tips and all of that usually perhead.
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: Yeah, not per couple, but per head.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: So there's another one now, like seven fifty ahead, the.
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: Michelin story, Sushiz or something. So what's happened is that
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: Masa had three Michelin stars since it opened in two
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: thousand and nine when the building was known as Time
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: Warner Center. Now it's Deutsche Bank Center and Masa, which
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: is a very small restaurant, only twenty six seats, the
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: best seats of which are at the chef's counter. Carried
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: it's three Micheling stars all that time, and a couple
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: of things happened during that time. The competition grew enormously
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: for makassi style Japanese dining, where the chef sets the
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: menu from it changes nightly. Many many courses usually built
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: around sushi, but not always. I was at masulunton I
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: had Kobe beef, which was extraordinary, or rogu beef from Japan.
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: But there's much more competition now and however, and so
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: they know they lost the star. I don't believe a
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: word Micheline says about anything, but if you're in business,
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: in the restaurant business, it matters enormously to you. Because
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: many many New Yorkers don't care that much about Micheline stars.
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: But it's a different story in Europe and Asia. There
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: are people with a lot of money from Europe and
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: Asia who come to New York and when they decide
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: where they're going to eat, before they even come, they
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: just look at what's got three stars and they make
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: their selections on that basis. And so friends in the
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: industry told me that a restaurant, high end restaurant lose
- 1:02:00Speaker 3: that's cut from three stars to two as Masa happened
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: to Masa, it can cost them twenty five percent of
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: their revenue, not immediately, not overnight, because you know they're
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: booked far in advance, but over time, and you know
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: when the current reservations run out, it's going to hurt them.
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: And it's a small restaurant. Masa unlike some other restaurants
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: that lost the star and they could they could weather
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: it because there were large restaurants and they were part
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: of big companies. Masa is not. So you know, they've
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: got a tough time to hand them.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: Why do you have your doubts about these micheline reviewers,
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: I have.
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: My I never believed the only reviews of or ratings
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: of restaurants I ever believed Mark or my own, the
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: ones that I've written for The New York Post. I
- 1:02:49Speaker 3: never believed Zagat ratings. I never believed micheline ratings. I
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: never believed in New York Times ratings, and so I'm
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: a skeptic. The only one I do believe there's the
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: three stars for La Berna Dam, which in my view is,
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: you know, the greatest restaurants in the world, and retained
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: its three stars. But even they cannot afford to let
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: their guard down because all it takes, you know, Micheling
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: likes to upset the Every year Micheline likes to come
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: up with one, you know, reduction in the star because
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: otherwise nobody would pay attention. So they've got to knock
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: somebody down every year. So this year it was poor Masa.
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: But in terms of in terms of quality, I don't
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: believe a word of it. I've been to plenty of
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: Michelin star, one star, two star restaurants that I thought
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: absolutely stink.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: Yeah, good point. Now before we run out of time, Uh,
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: what are all the real estate guys, all the restaurant guys,
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: what are they saying to you about the coming Mondani era?
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: Well, I do the commercial side, as you know, not residential,
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: but for the most part. But all the commercial people say,
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: don't worry. You know, we're bigger than any Our industry
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: is bigger than any political change. And they're probably right.
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: That doesn't mean that there isn't going to be an
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: effect on something in New York City. You know, Mamdani
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: talks about u you know, residential rent control. He wants
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: to freeze rents and stabilize the ponds. But he doesn't
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: say anything like that about commercial estate. Commercial real estate pays, provides,
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: generates more tax revenue for the City of New York
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: and the state than any other industry, more than Wall Street.
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: I don't remember the exact numbers. It doesn't matter. Anyone
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: can look them up. And so, you know, commercial real
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: estate industry, which has been fortunately dramatically revived over the
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: last two years. It's extraordinary. What's happened is really the
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: drive of the New York City economy. And even a
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: you know, a communistic guy like Mam Donnie would be
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: a fool to tamper with that.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: Well, we got through Deblasio for eight years, we'll get
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: through this for four exactly. Yeah, all right, Well, everybody
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: reads Steve Cuzo's excellent columns in the New York Post.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: If you go to the New York Post website, all
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: of his columns are up there. You can read them all.
