  Speaker 1: don't you. God done done something wonderful for you. You

  Speaker 1: just got to thank Him for it, you know, in

  Speaker 1: the midst of all that's going on in my life

  Speaker 1: and in your life. You know, I always use myself

  Speaker 1: as an example because well I mean that way. I

  Speaker 1: guarantee you one hundred percent I know what I'm talking

  Speaker 1: about here. Here's a situation, you know, with everything that's

  Speaker 1: going on in my life and all the things I'm

  Speaker 1: asking God for in the midst of taxing and a

  Speaker 1: very trying situation that's very challenging for me right now. Man,

  Speaker 1: God just keeps on, keeps on surprising me. He keeps
• 0:59
  Speaker 1: doing things. And I want you to look at your life.

  Speaker 1: Or for a second, let's make two columns here. Let's
• 1:08
  Speaker 1: make a column of all the things you want from God.

  Speaker 1: You know, just do that throughout the course of the day,
• 1:14
  Speaker 1: you know, you know, run down the list of all
• 1:16
  Speaker 1: the things you're asking God for all the things you're
• 1:19
  Speaker 1: praying for, the things you aspire to, what your dreams,
• 1:23
  Speaker 1: your visions, whatever it is. Just make a column a
• 1:25
  Speaker 1: list of all those things. Let's make three lists. And
• 1:30
  Speaker 1: then the second list, I want you to make a
• 1:33
  Speaker 1: list of everything that you've been asking God for. So
• 1:38
  Speaker 1: I guess that could be a little bit of the same.

  Speaker 1: But this third list, I want you to do a
• 1:43
  Speaker 1: check off point. I want you to do a make
• 1:46
  Speaker 1: a list of everything that God has given you that
• 1:49
  Speaker 1: you've asked him for. Just think about it like that
• 1:52
  Speaker 1: for a second. I may be explaining a little wrong

  Speaker 1: right now, but I'm gonna pull it together for you.

  Speaker 1: Make a list of every thing you're asking God for.

  Speaker 1: Just just listed. You know. It's okay, it's a dream board.

  Speaker 1: You can call it that. I got one, it's a

  Speaker 1: vision board. You know. Every everybody's got something you hope for.

  Speaker 1: Make a list. Now. I want you to make another

  Speaker 1: list of everything you've asked God for that he's given

  Speaker 1: you already. See this is a good list because sometimes

  Speaker 1: and what I've been guilty of and maybe you two

  Speaker 1: in my request list on my dream board. I keep

  Speaker 1: focusing so hard sometimes on the what I'm yet to receive.

  Speaker 1: I keep focusing so hard on the what I hope
• 2:40
  Speaker 1: he gives me. I keep focusing so hard on the
• 2:44
  Speaker 1: things that I yet not fulfilled in my life that sometimes,

  Speaker 1: as he starts checking off my wish lists, the things
• 2:53
  Speaker 1: I've asked for in the past that have come to
• 2:56
  Speaker 1: pass that he's given me. I sometimes I'm praying for
• 3:00
  Speaker 1: what I want forget to thank him for what he's
• 3:04
  Speaker 1: done for me. And I'm currently in the middle of
• 3:07
  Speaker 1: that situation. And this morning when I woke up, I really, man,
• 3:11
  Speaker 1: I just got on my knees this morning and I
• 3:13
  Speaker 1: quit tripping for a second. I said, Man, hey, God,
• 3:15
  Speaker 1: you know what I really do need all them things
• 3:19
  Speaker 1: I'm asking for, and I'm really am believing that you're
• 3:21
  Speaker 1: gonna give it to me. But in the meantime, though, Man,
• 3:25
  Speaker 1: have I overlooked some important details here? I had to
• 3:29
  Speaker 1: really look at what he's done for me. I mean, look, man,
• 3:33
  Speaker 1: take yourself out of it personally, and look, well, you
• 3:36
  Speaker 1: can leave yourself in it however you want to be.
• 3:38
  Speaker 1: Some people can't do that, so just leave yourself in it. Then,
• 3:41
  Speaker 1: But man, I started looking at the eye part of
• 3:43
  Speaker 1: me and I started looking around at what's happening overall, Like, man,
• 3:48
  Speaker 1: he has kept my family together and in spite of
• 3:52
  Speaker 1: the attempts to tear it apart. I look at all
• 3:54
  Speaker 1: of that. I look at how he's blessing my children
• 3:57
  Speaker 1: with the desires of their heart, which I pray for
• 3:59
  Speaker 1: my You know, I want my kids to have a
• 4:02
  Speaker 1: better life than I've had. I really really do. I
• 4:04
  Speaker 1: don't want them to take as long as it took
• 4:07
  Speaker 1: me to get it together. I really really don't. I'm
• 4:10
  Speaker 1: trying to say, hey, man, if you go to college,
• 4:12
  Speaker 1: this is what you can be. Don't do like your
• 4:14
  Speaker 1: father did. Don't go three years drop I'll throw yourself
• 4:16
  Speaker 1: into a spiral. And then got to start to scratch
• 4:19
  Speaker 1: all over again, you know, and for the most part
• 4:22
  Speaker 1: so far, you know, they're doing quite well of it.

  Speaker 1: You know. You know they're getting kicked around a little bit,
• 4:28
  Speaker 1: but that's life. I started thinking of the blessings that
• 4:31
  Speaker 1: he's helped me overcome with some of the previous mistakes
• 4:36
  Speaker 1: I've made in relationships in my life. And then I
• 4:40
  Speaker 1: started looking about the things he's blessed me with that
• 4:43
  Speaker 1: I've been asking him for. But since I've moved on
• 4:45
  Speaker 1: from it. I forgot to keep thinking because I got
• 4:49
  Speaker 1: to always thank God for a roof over my head
• 4:51
  Speaker 1: because guess what, when I was asking for the roof
• 4:54
  Speaker 1: and I didn't really have it, then he gave me one.
• 4:56
  Speaker 1: Since he gave it to me, what, I'm just cool now,
• 4:59
  Speaker 1: I can't ever go back to him and go, hey, man,
• 5:01
  Speaker 1: I really do appreciate this roof over my head because
• 5:04
  Speaker 1: there was a time when I was living in a car.
• 5:06
  Speaker 1: But see, so every morning I wake up, I gotta
• 5:08
  Speaker 1: remember the fact that I have a home now because

  Speaker 1: I got to look back and go, man, that was time, Steve,
• 5:14
  Speaker 1: when you didn't have no home. But see, we forget
• 5:17
  Speaker 1: what God has done for us because in our column,
• 5:21
  Speaker 1: the won't column, the need column, we oftentimes forget for
• 5:27
  Speaker 1: the columns and the check marks, as He's already fulfilled
• 5:30
  Speaker 1: in our life. You've got to take inventory every now
• 5:34
  Speaker 1: and then daily if possible. But I know we're humans.
• 5:37
  Speaker 1: We're not gonna do that. I don't. But you've got
• 5:40
  Speaker 1: to take inventory of your life to say, hey, what
• 5:45
  Speaker 1: has God done for me? You know? And remember something
• 5:49
  Speaker 1: else too. Change is good, but change is challenging. Accept
• 5:54
  Speaker 1: the challenge that it is. Look, a lot of you
• 5:58
  Speaker 1: come up to me all the time, Steve Man, thank you, man, boy,

  Speaker 1: you in the morning. Man, I really be needing it. Well,

  Speaker 1: Like Holy said it a hundred times, but I'm gonna

  Speaker 1: say it again, y'all, I be needing it too. You know,

  Speaker 1: you understand, sometimes what God is dealing with me is
• 6:16
  Speaker 1: for me. But now I'm in a sharing position where

  Speaker 1: I can open up and if I just if I

  Speaker 1: just quit being so about me and become a little

  Speaker 1: bit more transparent, I can maybe some of me that's
• 6:28
  Speaker 1: happening to me is happening to you, and you can

  Speaker 1: see some of this in me. That's why I use

  Speaker 1: myself as an example, because man, I'm catching it too, y'all.

  Speaker 1: I ain't perfect either. So for those of you that
• 6:40
  Speaker 1: come up to me and say that, I want you

  Speaker 1: to understand these these talks in the morning, Man, this

  Speaker 1: is important for me because man, I need these conversations

  Speaker 1: from God. I need God to continue to strengthen me,

  Speaker 1: to show me the way to help me understand what's
• 6:57
  Speaker 1: happening to me. And see, as we've all those of

  Speaker 1: you who have made the decision to change to become
• 7:03
  Speaker 1: a better person, a better woman, a better boy, better girl,
• 7:06
  Speaker 1: a better man. For those of you who's made the
• 7:08
  Speaker 1: decision to change, change is a challenge, and accept the
• 7:11
  Speaker 1: challenge because it's gonna come. Because right out of that
• 7:14
  Speaker 1: here come to haters. Here they come people you don't
• 7:17
  Speaker 1: even know, discussing your life and your change. If God
• 7:21
  Speaker 1: see you really really mean what you say, in spite
• 7:24
  Speaker 1: of what they say about you, God will raise you
• 7:28
  Speaker 1: above the freight. He'll keep promoting you, He'll keep blessing you,
• 7:32
  Speaker 1: He'll keep moving you up. He will use you as
• 7:36
  Speaker 1: a show off point. He'll show you off. Man, He'll
• 7:40
  Speaker 1: he'll make you look good the people man who wish
• 7:43
  Speaker 1: you'd fall all day long. And so to all your haters,
• 7:46
  Speaker 1: all your haters will end up just watching you rise. Man.

  Speaker 1: They will watch you continue to grow. That's what God
• 7:52
  Speaker 1: will do for you. Man. You can fool the world,

  Speaker 1: but you can't fool God. God know your heart, He
