- 1:12now it's Tom for today's episode of the Adventures of Frank Race. This
- 1:17one's called The Adventure of the Kettle Drum. The Adventures of Frank Race starring
- 1:25Paul to above with Tony Barrett as Mark Donovan. The war changed many things,
- 1:38the face of the earth and the people on it. Before the war,
- 1:42Frank Race worked as an attorney, but he traded his lawbooks for the
- 1:46Cloak and Dagger of the Oss and when it was over, his former life
- 1:51was over. Two adventure had become his business The Adventures of Frank Race,
- 2:12and now we joined Frank Race for the Adventure of the Kettle Drum. Enthusiasm
- 2:22is all right in its place, but there are times when it can be
- 2:24a curse, particularly when you've been up all night playing poker and your mouth
- 2:29tastes like an old mattress from too much smoking. I mentioned this in a
- 2:32tired and chastened voice, but Mark Donovan paid me no heed. He went
- 2:38right on being enthusiastic. Come on, chum, come on, come on,
- 2:42Cole showing a cup of coffee. It's all you need. And then
- 2:44you gotta go see this name. And she is really worth it. Marcus.
- 2:47Please, I am going to sleep, but you can't do that.
- 2:51You've got to see his name. I promised to you. I'll see you
- 2:53tomorrow. Listen. Look she used to know you. See. She told
- 2:57me to say. Her name was April nnis Does that ring a bell?
- 3:01Yeah? It rings a bell. Let me have a cigarette, Mark all
- 3:06right, Nollo. Look, if you remember her name, you will remember
- 3:08what she looks like. And if you remember what she looks like, you
- 3:10will want to see her. If you don't, you ought to be taking
- 3:15vitamins. Is it like aprilis? Yeah? What did she want? A
- 3:23way? Life? Figured she's in some kind of trouble, that's why she
- 3:25wants to see in a hearty all right, drive me over. What's the
- 3:28address? Strictly hoity toity number eight laden Square, April nnis. It's been
- 3:42about four years since I've seen her. She'd been quite a dish then,
- 3:45and one look registered the fact she hasn't lost a thing race. So nice
- 3:51of you to come. Looks as though you've been doing all right, baby.
- 3:53I couldn't be sure whether this was a house or an industrial exhibit.
- 3:57I'm married now. My name's Faver. That's a quick way that Joel to
- 4:00an old boyfriend, isn't it. I've been married a couple of years now
- 4:05I stand a good chance of becoming a widow widow? What is this a
- 4:11gag? Were? Will you come with me for a few minutes? Certainly
- 4:16a trailer upstairs to a room big enough to handle a square dance? Here
- 4:20a man lay inert in a tremendous bid over him, taking his pulse benefitition.
- 4:26I gaped for a few seconds, then at the not from April,
- 4:29who went down below to the library, where she turned to me with a
- 4:31strange expression. Photographs up there on the mantle doesn't look much like it now,
- 4:38does he? That's what an ordeal can do. What kind of an
- 4:41ordeal, missus Favor started on Tuesday? My husband didn't get home as usual
- 4:46in the evening. This has happened before. But when he didn't come home
- 4:48the next day, I call the police. They found him last night sitting
- 4:51on a park bench, Miss semi delirious condition. Has he been able to
- 4:57tell what happened? No, not a word, But I'm convinced it wasn't
- 5:00just a physical collapse. You see, my husband has been off with the
- 5:03nomination for congressman in this district and either feeling that because of this, someone
- 5:08is working against him, causing him harm. That's why I called you Win
- 5:12Race, and I hope that you could help any ideas to the identity of
- 5:16these people as a woman by the name of fake Carlisle. But she called
- 5:21on my husband last week, right after you received notice of being picked by
- 5:25the political committee. He seemed upset. After she left, an I thought,
- 5:29yes, she's an actress. She's rehearsing in that new show they're opening
- 5:31at the Galaxy Theater. I'm leaving now. Oh a doctor, Philip,
- 5:35won't you please come in? I'm happy that favor heaven sean. Oh,
- 5:41it's all right, doctor, you may speak freely. I am rather disappointed
- 5:45mister Faber's condition. Frankly, I had expected some improvement. Doctor, How
- 5:51seriously is this going to affect him? Very lie? I wish I could
- 5:56say, But you tell me. There's no past medical history on mister Faber
- 6:00so well? Are you certain he had no regular physician? I never felt
- 6:04the need for one. He's always been very strong, in fine health.
- 6:10He should have had medical attention long before this. The way he's reacting indicates
- 6:14he's been suffering from a hearty element for some time. Unless he shows improvement,
- 6:18we're going to have to remove him to a hospital. When the doctor
- 6:25had gone, I got more information on April's husband, Arthur Faber, a
- 6:30chemist still in his thirties. He was president of the Apex Chemical Company,
- 6:35manufacturers of pharmaceutical products. I told April Faber I'd take the case for him.
- 6:42Then I left the house and joined Mark in the car. Okay,
- 6:46okay, okay, you're taking a case. Great, So now what'll we
- 6:50do I'd like you to whistle over to the APEX laboratories later see what you
- 6:54can turn up for my part. I'm going to have a look in on
- 6:58this actress that April I mentioned. I found Fate carlysle in her dressing room.
- 7:11She sat before the mirror, touching up her face, and from my
- 7:13point of view, the scenery wasn't bad. Across the mirror someone had scrawled
- 7:17a telephone number and lipstick parkway two four four four. She noticed that this
- 7:23had taken my glance and wiped it away with a makeup toe. She stared
- 7:26at me in the glass and then turned around. She's selling brushes, let's
- 7:30see you samples. Don't bristle pet. I'm a writer doing a novel on
- 7:33the theater. I got the idea that taking you out to lunch would be
- 7:38a delightful way of picking up material. Got your throttle right down to the
- 7:42floor, haven't you that's quite approp Oh, it's it's it's no approach.
- 7:46I'd really appreciate it. If you go out with me, it might be
- 7:50interesting. But I tell you what, Before I go, I've got to
- 7:54make a phone call. She went past me, exuding the fragrance of taboo
- 8:00kept me waiting for such a long time, I began to think I'd been
- 8:01played for a yoko. But just as I was about to call it a
- 8:05lost effort, she came back with a perky smile of agreement. I waited
- 8:09in the carter while she changed clothes. She presently appeared looking like something out
- 8:13of sacks window. I told myself gleefully, here was a case with definite
- 8:18possibilities. But I didn't revel in this thought very long. At the stage
- 8:22door, we were intercepted grimly by a blonde male who looked as though we
- 8:26should have been playing tackle for Notre Dame. I estimated his weight at about
- 8:31two forty five and set myself for some very fast judo. What's the idea
- 8:37of fame? Look, Johnny, I certainly had the right to go out
- 8:39to lunch with someone else once in a while. You had a date to
- 8:41go to lunch with me? Office. I know you call the office.
- 8:45We had a date just the same. I'm breaking it. Oh no,
- 8:48you're not on me. Tell this joyboy to get lost under the circumstances.
- 8:54I'll be glad to get lost after all. You two see, Please don't
- 8:58go. I said, I'd go to lunch with you and I will get
- 9:01going. Miss d look old boy, I can imagine how you feel.
- 9:05But the young ladies enjoy boy. I don't want you to ever come around
- 9:09Faye again. Understand your statement is clear and to the point. And just
- 9:15so you don't forget, I'm gonna tie a little string around your finger like
- 9:20I rolled with the punch, catching it on the shoulder and then swung one
- 9:24of my own with the girl lurched against me and nice block and honey,
- 9:31come on, Johnny, let's just leave them here. Oh brother hood.
- 9:46Damn your headline lovely, isn't it. I'm doomed to dark glasses for a
- 9:50week. That actors must pack quite a punch. This was done by an
- 9:54enraged heavyweight of the masculine sex. Yeah, never come a a man and
- 10:00his mate Mark. It can lead to all kinds of abrasions. She must
- 10:03be good, he was. Did you get to tag him? And all?
- 10:07I tried with the girls? That's Mark, Mark as I've been framed.
- 10:11You mean frame Fay Carlile didn't want me around asking questions, so she
- 10:15put on a big act with a blonde bull playing the part of a jealous
- 10:18boyfriend. I was warned never to try seeing her again and slug to make
- 10:22sure I was properly impressed. Fine, fine, so you had a good
- 10:24time. Did you find out anything? Nothing except that I don't seem to
- 10:28play the part of a novelist very well. That girl had me tag from
- 10:31the beginning, even left me sitting in her dressing room while she went out
- 10:35and phoned the boyfriend. So I went wait a second, though, there
- 10:39was that phone number? What phone number? When I went into a dressing
- 10:43room, I noticed a phone number on her mirror, Parkway two four four
- 10:48four. It was smeared on with lipstick. They wiped it off when she
- 10:52saw me looking at it. Now, did I come to think of it?
- 10:54She was just a little bothered. You know what's a little confused.
- 10:58What are you doing now calling that number? It might be a lead lead?
- 11:03It sounds like a dead end. Well we'll try another attack. I
- 11:07give up all this time. Headquarters for a little information. I'm a side
- 11:16Lieutenant Leibs ed Frank Race. Could you get an address from a phone number
- 11:20for me? The number race Parkway two four four four. Hold on a
- 11:24second, Leibs is going to one on No, one doesn't matter race.
- 11:28Yes, ed, anything I'm a side might be interested in. Not so
- 11:31far. I'll keep you posted. Okay, here's your number. Nightclub on
- 11:33Houston Street. Spot called the Kettle Drum. Don't happen. I know who
- 11:37runs it? Do you? No? I don't. I'll have to check
- 11:39out. Never mind that, I'll check on it myself. Thanks a million.
- 11:41Okay, what nightclub called the Kettle Drum? That's why we didn't get
- 11:45an answer too early in the day, so now so now we'll have a
- 11:48look at it this evening. The Kettle Drum is one of those spots for
- 12:03the extent of your dancing depends on the strength of your elbows. Mark and
- 12:07I had a couple of drinks at the bar and then pushed our way through
- 12:11a door that led to the nags of the place. Yes, just what
- 12:18are we looking for? Anything we can find? Why? Because I got
- 12:20a hunch spot when we stepped out of day Maybe just the same if hey
- 12:24shot keep mind that door ahead, somebody's officer. Look, holy god,
- 12:33it's a dame fake carlysle Get out and rustle up a doctor. Mark,
- 12:37she's still alive. Keeping shots through the chest. The gun lay smoking near
- 12:43her knees. The room had windows opening into the night, probably into an
- 12:48alley. While I checked this, a gurgle came from Fake Carlyle's throat.
- 12:52As I looked, she gave a last convulsion and she was gone for good.
- 12:56And using a handkerchief, I picked the murder weapon, thirty eight automatic,
- 13:01and at the same time the door opened. Me what's going on?
- 13:07Oh no, it was Johnny. The jealous boyfriend with him was as an
- 13:11older man, and I could sense that in the minds of both I was
- 13:15guilty of murder. We'll return to the adventures of Frank Race in just about
- 13:28one minute. And now we returned to the adventures of Frank Race. The
- 13:46two men stared at me, and I stared back. I suddenly couldn't blame
- 13:50them for their thoughts. They'd surprised me standing over the girl's body holding a
- 13:54smoking gun. The older man, sleek and white dinner jacket maroon, came
- 13:58abund eyed me narrowly, and a girl must have had quite a disagreement.
- 14:01I had nothing to do with this. I just found her. Here,
- 14:03you lie, you shut her look at her truck. So she said,
- 14:05I'm going to get out. They got the gun. I didn't kill her,
- 14:07Johnny, give me a few minutes. Not prove it to you.
- 14:09No, I'm going after him truck so gun, no, no gun.
- 14:11I'm gonna get my hat, the light and shut the light. I made
- 14:22it by way of the window, dropping about eight feet to the alley pavement.
- 14:24A few minutes later, I limped into a Broadway drug store called Homicide
- 14:28and got leave us again. I broke the story for him. You say
- 14:31you had Donovan with you when you found the body. That's right. Then
- 14:35you don't have to worry about you having an alibi. There's also the little
- 14:37matter of motiv ed all right, Race, I happen to have the gun.
- 14:41I'll bring it in for the ballistics boys. I phoned you first because
- 14:43I thought you might move in fast and surprise someone. Oh and while you're
- 14:46there, you might check on what happened to Mark Donovan. Okay, we'll
- 14:50do that. Thanks for the care, Race. My next stop was Center
- 14:54Street, where I waited a couple of hours for a report on the pistol.
- 14:58It finally came through. There was a double negative, no fingerprints,
- 15:01no record of ownership. It was after midnight now, but I decided to
- 15:07call April Fabor. I told her about Faye Carlisle and describe the blonde boyfriend.
- 15:11I don't believe I know him right. Well, that matches up at
- 15:16the rest of the progress. How's mister Faber been resting pretty well? You
- 15:22sound very sleepy, almost groggy. I am. I'm trying to keep my
- 15:26eyes over and I won't talk anymore. I'll call you tomorrow. I was
- 15:37beginning to feel a little worried about Mark, so of course I headed back
- 15:41to the kettle Drum, but the place was sealed by this time, with
- 15:43no one around but a pair of uniformed officers, who is usual, were
- 15:48thoroughly noncommittal. Then, being very tired, I headed for home. I
- 16:06was really feeling groggy by now. Getting back to the apartment was like reaching
- 16:11sanctuary. Groping for the light switch, I was thinking of what a hot
- 16:15shower it would do for me. The next second, before my fingers could
- 16:18touch the button, I froze. I froze because they're in the dark.
- 16:22I could hear someone's heavy breathing, and it wasn't my own. While I
- 16:26waited motionless trying to figure out what to do, a voice settle a problem
- 16:30for me and on the light, Race, you have company. Tell him,
- 16:34Richie, we've got a lots of company and we're both to get hits,
- 16:41So you can drop yours on a floor. I'm sure you understand him.
- 16:45Race, drop the gun. No, not the light. It was
- 16:52the suave gentleman of the kettle drum Truxel. With him was a saddle colored
- 16:56companion who looked tougher than a cheap steak. Well, Race, care for
- 17:02a drink. I believe we'll pass up the hospitality for now. I came
- 17:06here because I want to know the story on fake Carlisle and Johnny Taylor.
- 17:08I'm afraid you're several steps ahead of me. I'm reasonably certain you had nothing
- 17:12to do with the killing of either of them. Wait a second, the
- 17:15big blond he's dead too. Yeah, after you left, we found his
- 17:21car with blood all over it, and he was gone. Who was Johnny
- 17:25Taylor? He happened to be my partner. I'll mourn poor Johnny, but
- 17:30I'm not going to allow my sadness to get in the way of good business.
- 17:33Put it concisely, Johnny was working on some kind of a deal,
- 17:37whatever it was. If Johnny was in it. There was money involved.
- 17:41Oh, I'd hate to see a good thing die just because Johnny did.
- 17:44If Taylor was your partner, why should he want to mix in anything shady?
- 17:48The kettle drum looks like a paying proposition to me, take a better
- 17:51look next time. You're their race. We've been dying for years, ever
- 17:56since the military stopped making one of their favorite reservations. That's particularly a war
- 18:00baby. You're probably not gonna believe me, but I can't help you.
- 18:07Before you say that, take a look at these. He flipped them to
- 18:11me as he spoke, A packet of letters written in longhand in an odd
- 18:17sort of scroll. They were addressed to Fade and unsigned. What do you
- 18:22think? Where did you get these? Johnny Taylor had them. But now
- 18:26that he's gone, I'm sure we can consider them our property. How do
- 18:30you figure that? Just taking my pick of the leftovers? That's my hand,
- 18:34Now what's yours? I've been without sleep for about two days. I'm
- 18:38afraid I'm not thinking very clearly. Is he gonna play clam boss I?
- 18:44Tony would? You're gonna have to let me handle the monk? I'm afraid
- 18:48so, Eric King, all right? Take over my shure, We're gonna
- 18:53take them where it ain't no people around. It's gonna hear me yet,
- 18:59Come on, a shucker. This Rickie or Ricci whatever his name was,
- 19:04wasn't exactly the YMCA type. With him propelling me to the door with the
- 19:08snout of a luger and trucksail moving along with a loof deadliness, I've felt
- 19:12anything but preoccupied. And then going somewhere Rice, Oh, oh, Mark,
- 19:18and where have you been for the last ten minutes? I've been right
- 19:22by this door. Listen, very glad to have you a bored And these
- 19:26boys ain't going to pesty you no more, not when I got this smoker
- 19:30in my hand? Are you boys? And I wouldn't try that no more
- 19:33either. You're liable to become an ambulance case. I go on, I
- 19:37get back into a room. Both you, if you're a smart you won't
- 19:41try to follow us. Marrache It look as though he could use some coffee.
- 19:56Oh brother, you sleepy, you know some I have never seen your
- 20:00look this punch? Yes, yes, yes, then all you can say?
- 20:03Yes, didn't you go out to Favors Chemical Company well sightning you told
- 20:07me? Don't remember talk to anyone. No one there but the watchman.
- 20:11I didn't get there to laugh the dark and you get inside, you kid.
- 20:15The watchman's name was hohol a hand, So I got inside places full
- 20:22of vats, tolds things like what about Favorites office? Not there except some
- 20:26mail. It was just laying around. Did you read it well? Sighting
- 20:29me? I read it and pretty dull stuff. It was a lot of
- 20:32advertisements. Hold on, some people call them Advoitiseman, I like that,
- 20:37Mark, tell me the story. Call about one of them boarding meetings that
- 20:42they have, you know, and another one saying that he passed a physical
- 20:47no insurance policy and hey, a big fat policy. It was quarter of
- 20:52a million bucks. Will you do something for me? I am always doing
- 20:56something for you. As soon as I finished this car, I'd like you
- 20:57to go out to the favorite place this lake. I'd like you to get
- 21:00through the favor's nurse on the quiet. Ask her to grab every vile to
- 21:03tell any drug she's administered to favor ask her to hold them and not say
- 21:07anything about it. Oh great, And while I am doing all the heavy
- 21:10work, what are you going to be doing. I'm going to pay a
- 21:11visit to that chemical plant. At the plant, I ran into the Watchman
- 21:26market charmed using the magic words Donovan sent me. With just a bit of
- 21:30a brogue, I gained entry. He was a good watchman, though.
- 21:33He called the Faber home and got an ok from April, but he wouldn't
- 21:37go through the plant with me. He said he had a bad cold and
- 21:38had just finished the patrol. So I started the tour on my own.
- 21:45It was a big place. I spent an hour on the first floor alone,
- 21:49locating lights whitches. Wasn't always easy, and there were times when I
- 21:52got into trouble. It was almost three o'clock when I reached the third floor,
- 22:00where I found just the setup I've been searching for what I became upset
- 22:11in the Watchman I decided to come down here. Well you must have decided
- 22:15in her. You're still wearing slippers. Maybe I've been a little too hysterical
- 22:18about all this race. Perhaps we just better forget about it. I'm afraid
- 22:22it's too late for that, April. This is a case of murder.
- 22:25That girl's death can concern us. It isn't only fake Carlisle. Here,
- 22:30you come with me. Take a look inside this batch which is the same.
- 22:33Race. She came very close to going into a dead faint. I
- 22:38remember its smelling ammonia in one of the tubes. I'd investigate it. So
- 22:41I found a mortar about the size of a cup and filled it with the
- 22:44stuff. It finally brought her out of her shock. I'll be all right
- 22:49now, Race, good girl, that's fine. That's some kind of body
- 22:56in there. It was a buddy. The way that acid is working,
- 23:00it couldn't be anything at all. On just another few hours. Who is
- 23:03it, Race, Well, I'm betting it's a lad by the name of
- 23:06Johnny Taylor. Who could have put him there? April, I'm afraid it
- 23:12was your husband, my husband. It can't be serious, I hate to
- 23:18say, but I'm very serious. How listen, some time ago, your
- 23:21husband chased around with fake Carlyle. Like a lot of other men, he
- 23:25was foolish enough to put his thoughts about her on paper. With your husband
- 23:27up for this political nomination, Faye and this boyfriend of hers figure, these
- 23:30letters would make Arthur Faber good pickings for blackmail, but Arthur wouldn't take it.
- 23:37He met fake Carlysle and shout it to death, and then he killed
- 23:40Johnny Taylor and brought him here. Taylor's body was shoved in the acid to
- 23:45make it disappear so it would look as though he'd just run out on fake
- 23:48Carlyle's murder. No, how could Arthur do all that while he's been suffering
- 23:52from a heart attack. That was his alibi, his beautiful alibi. How
- 23:56could a man kill anyone while he was in bed with heart trouble? And
- 23:59that's why you've been so groggy. You were drugged you and that nurse,
- 24:03so you'd be too groggy to know when Arthur Favor was slipping out to commit
- 24:07murder. But what he's heart trouble? Honey? Have you ever heard of
- 24:11goof pills? Well, you wouldn't have. They were used during the war
- 24:15by draft dodgers. It made them seem to have heart trouble. Your husband's
- 24:21a chemist, he knew how to make those pills for his own use.
- 24:25I can't believe all this. I'm sorry, honey. I'm afraid the police
- 24:26will and I happen to have the motive in my pocket. The blackmail letters
- 24:30with the handwriting matching your husband's office memos has the Johnny Taylor corcus. It's
- 24:37a pity you had to discover all this, mister Race. For you,
- 24:41that is, it was Arthur Favor, all right, drappily dressed and looking
- 24:45as healthy as a round of gold. He was gripping a pistol and gripping
- 24:51it steadily. Hother, you're ill, you shouldn't be here. I think
- 24:55mister Race explained that situation very well, my dear. I even had that
- 25:00sillyness giving me injections of water, which she thought was medication. But I'd
- 25:03like to know what led you to suspect me, mister Race. The doctor
- 25:07said your illness indicated a heart condition that has existed for a long time.
- 25:12But in your office, my partner found a letter that showed you just past
- 25:15a physical examination for an insurance policy. A yes, the unforeseen circumstance A
- 25:22shame, because now I shall have to see to it that you join our
- 25:26friend Johnny Taylor, and you too, my dear. I'm sorry, but
- 25:30I have no other alternative. You'd clutter up my peace of mind nowhere.
- 25:34Look, we're both allergic to us, and I'm sure I'm really very so
- 25:37all right, since you insist on the esse, and I'm going to insist
- 25:40on this pemmonium like, sorry, favorable, that's all for you? Oh
- 25:52all right, no more tears. Come on, come on, I'll take
- 25:57you home. Well, now you can get some sleep. Race, I
- 26:10don't feel much like an anmacus. The tiredness has passed. You don't sound
- 26:15as though it as something else. Now that girl and what I had to
- 26:18do to her, that's right, isn't it. Yeah, that's right.
- 26:23She wasn't all flame. Wasn't you one of the biggest and brightest? Yeah,
- 26:30but look kid, it ain't gonna do you no good thinking about it.
- 26:33No, No, there are times when thinking doesn't pay. Yeah.
- 26:37Hey, look, look you want to stop for a drinker? Yes?
- 26:40Oh yes, tonight I I really need one. The Adventures of Frank Race
- 26:57starting Paul Dubob, Tonny Barrett has marked Donovan comes to you from Hollywood.
- 27:03Others heard in tonight's cast were Betty lou Gerson, Barney Phillips, Michael Anne
- 27:07Barrett, Peter Leeds, and Gerald Moore. This series is written and directed
- 27:11by Buckley Angel and Joel Murcott. The music is composed and played by Ivan
- 27:17Ditmars. Be sure to be with us again this time next week or another
- 27:21dramatic chapter in the Adventures of Frank Race. Art Gilmore speaking, this is
- 27:26a BPS production. Welcome back. Well, I do believe that was Tony
- 28:07Barrett doing double duty as Mark Donovan and also as one of the thugs.
- 28:17So that was radio you filled in where you could. All right, well,
- 28:23I do need to let you know we actually only have three more episodes
- 28:29of the Adventures of Frank Race to go. So coming to Tuesday in four
- 28:33weeks for a three week engagement will be the Big Guy, so you want
- 28:41to listen to that the Big Guy, and our star will be Henry Calvin.
- 28:45That's coming in three weeks. Now we move on to listen or comments
- 28:49and feedback. Writer Girl has an issue with the Amazon app, writing,
- 28:53I took a chance on buying this app because none of the other reviews mentioned
- 28:59an internet connection was necessary to listen to this collection. I already have this
- 29:03interesting collection on my iPad, but I also wanted it for one I wanted
- 29:07to listen on my Android phone. The app downloaded quickly, but I don't
- 29:11like being restricted to when I can listen. Well, I can definitely appreciate
- 29:18the issue, writer Girl. The problem what we were in with or yeah,
- 29:25is that when it comes to having access to these programs. We have
- 29:33two options. One is we could automa medically. Everything could be stored on
- 29:37your device, and then the download wouldn't be quick at all. Add an
- 29:44average of about sixteen megabytes per episode, it would be well over fifteen gigabytes
- 29:53to download all of the programs we've done so far with special and things like
- 30:00that, and we're not even counting the television programs. And so the content's
- 30:03got to be stored online so that you can be able to pull it up
- 30:10without having to carry the whole collection on your device. So that's why the
- 30:15Internet is required. You should be able to download episodes by pressing the star
- 30:26beside the episode and then hitting the star on your menu bar and pressing that
- 30:33star once again to go ahead and download your episode, and then be able
- 30:37to listen to programs when you're not near an Internet connection, if that's an
- 30:44issue for you. So sorry that didn't quite work out, which like you
- 30:47wanted. But there is a reason for that, and why why the Wizard
- 30:55media engineers who've been doing our ad for about three years, why they do
- 31:02have this set up with an Internet connection. We also on the other hand,
- 31:07we also have another review on tunes, this one from God of Rhodes,
- 31:14who says, loving all these old shows, especially Box thirteen and Johnny
- 31:18Doller. The app works well and it's easy to use. The intros are
- 31:25nice and informative. Really enjoying this purchase. Thank you well, thanks so
- 31:29much. I'm glad you're enjoying the program. And then we have this comment
- 31:33from Rosemary. Oh I read that one. There's actually another comment on Facebook,
- 31:41this one from Laurie, who says, I'm a new listener to the
- 31:47iPhone app. Love it. I have a question about the music at the
- 31:48beginning of the program. I would like to have it as a ring hone
- 31:52on my phone. Is it available? I did go ahead and email the
- 31:57MP three, which is the main thing you'll need. I'll have to see
- 32:01if there's a good way for me to make that available folks who would like
- 32:08that on their phone. But thanks for the comment and the suggestion. That'll
- 32:14do it for today. We return tomorrow with Part three and Part four of
- 32:20the Chesapeake fraud matter, and then join us back here next Tuesday for another
- 32:23episode of Frank Race in the Meantime Center. Comments to Box thirteen at Great

- 32:32to fill out our listeners survey Survey dot Great Detectors dot net. From Boise,
