- 0:46I have a great little episode today because I'm very excited.
- 0:50There's nothing more, well, there's nothing that means more to me than the people that
- 0:55are in my life, Lizzie especially.
- 0:58It's great to see her.
- 1:00It's great to be back recording with her.
- 1:02And of course now our latest, newest minister, Halos, joins us too as well.
- 1:07And Halos has mentioned that she's been talking or at least thinking a lot about honoring
- 1:13human emotions while being spiritual and honoring both the light and the dark.
- 1:19So let's turn it over to Halos.
- 1:21Halos, how are you, my friend?
- 1:23I'm doing well, thank you.
- 1:26So yeah, this is something that's been coming up a lot for me because I noticed early in
- 1:31my healing journey, really what kind of gave me my spiritual awakening was Buddhism.
- 1:37And that's something that I really follow very closely is the religion of Buddhism,
- 1:42Buddhist teachings and beliefs and meditate daily.
- 1:47And what this does for me is it gives me a sense of my spiritual identity of being connected
- 1:53to everything.
- 1:55And I noticed that the more that I kind of lean into that spiritual identity, the more
- 2:00I tend to neglect my human identity or my human emotions because, you know, there's
- 2:06this feeling of, okay, I am God, I am this very powerful being.
- 2:12And with that, there comes a sense of almost superiority, like feeling like I don't need
- 2:16to have these emotions or I don't need to feel sad.
- 2:20And I think that this is very common in the spiritual community is bypassing human emotions
- 2:24because you realize that there is a way to feel joy and peace all the time.
- 2:29However, I feel like it's through honoring both the light and the dark that we are then
- 2:33able to really be our wholest and truest self.
- 2:40That's wonderful.
- 2:42Because this is something I sometimes confuse myself with same thing like me with meditating
- 2:49every day, learning more and more about spirituality and the God or at least the God mind where
- 2:57you are your own God, you are a creation, you are the universe.
- 3:04You do kind of lose some emotions because we're always taught to drop the ego.
- 3:11But yet sometimes we kind of put our emotions as part of our ego when I think they really
- 3:19need to be separated.
- 3:22So I struggle sometimes with that myself.
- 3:25But the other thing what I like about this, the light and the dark and our emotions, me
- 3:29as a Libra, just by design, I'm all about balance.
- 3:34We have to have our light and our dark or good and our bad.
- 3:38So I'm going to enjoy talking about this topic.
- 3:41So Lizzie, what are your thoughts?
- 3:45Oh, I love this topic.
- 3:48This kind of something that I focus on pretty frequently.
- 3:54The thing is, is I got I got stuck in the idea of kind of yeah, like attaching certain
- 4:00emotions to your ego, like you're not supposed to feel anger, right, you're supposed to get
- 4:06to a place where the other person's resonance can't affect you.
- 4:10And I was getting really good at that, just letting people's energy move through me.
- 4:16But the thing was, was it just kind of clamped down more and more and more.
- 4:21And it was because I was unknowingly bypassing anger.
- 4:26Because in my mind, anger meant like an unreasonable search of defensiveness.
- 4:33And if you're quantumly safe and infinitely abundant and whatever, like you don't need
- 4:37to protect, that's something we talk about all the time, that that is a shadow, the need
- 4:42to protect.
- 4:43But the thing is, is also there's something very sacred in like sacred rage, right?
- 4:51Like a mother protecting her child, a stranger protecting another stranger they see, there
- 4:57is something very beautiful about that.
- 5:01And you know, it's all beautiful in theory, to acknowledge that like, you don't need that,
- 5:06you can just like keep moving on.
- 5:08But there's a reason your resonance chose to witness that.
- 5:13You know what I mean?
- 5:14There's a reason that you looked over that way when that was happening.
- 5:18Because if you weren't meant to witness it, you wouldn't have noticed it.
- 5:22And I see this all the time in like groups of people, and I'll see something, you know,
- 5:26funny, not necessarily related to this, but like nobody else in the group saw it, everybody
- 5:31was looking off this other way.
- 5:33And it changes your entire experience.
- 5:35But the thing is, is I think that every single emotion has its purpose, but they're all multidimensional
- 5:43like we are.
- 5:44Like anger is protective, but anger is also where you realize a way that you're not being
- 5:53the expanded self.
- 5:55Sometimes it's not about protection.
- 5:57Sometimes it's about not even acknowledging something.
- 6:00Like if I like jealousy, for example, a lot of times jealousy comes from you seeing something
- 6:06you want, you didn't know you even wanted, but you have to like, let it show you what
- 6:13is trying to open.
- 6:16I love that you, yes, brought in jealousy specifically, because I just posted a video
- 6:21today on jealousy and how it's associated with a blockage in our third eye chakra.
- 6:27And so yes, these emotions are supposed to teach us about ourselves and we can't learn
- 6:31the lessons if we're bypassing them and simply saying, nope, I'm not going to look at this.
- 6:35I'm not going to deal with this because this isn't who I am.
- 6:37Like I am this all powerful being.
- 6:39Yes, you are.
- 6:40But like we are multidimensional.
- 6:42And I do notice like the more energy I do give a certain emotion, the more I'm able
- 6:46to learn from it.
- 6:48And that's another thing too, is like we have to realize that yes, we are souls, but we
- 6:53are also human beings and a human body.
- 6:57And with that, one of my favorite things, I'm actually a big studier of psychology and
- 7:02specifically trauma and how trauma relates to the somatic experience of having a body.
- 7:08And so your body remembers when you have trauma.
- 7:10And the thing is, if you're not honoring that and you're not like focused on the emotions
- 7:16that are in your body, then it will manifest into physical illnesses.
- 7:20And so it really does just emphasize the importance of right, like really becoming comfortable
- 7:25with these emotions and knowing that they don't have to overpower you, but allowing
- 7:30them to have space to express themselves.
- 7:33Oh, for sure, for sure.
- 7:36And it's hard because sometimes, I don't know about everybody else, but I feel my feelings
- 7:42like very intently, like through my whole body.
- 7:44I feel angry.
- 7:45I, you know, get tunnel vision for a second.
- 7:48That's just kind of like how I've always been.
- 7:50But this thing is, it moves you.
- 7:55It tells you things.
- 7:56I think that emotions are part of the human experience, but it's also part of the soul's
- 8:01experience.
- 8:02And I think the human experience does kind of have like a tinge of like almost the illusion
- 8:09you have to suffer.
- 8:11But I in part think that's because of the way that we've defined it, as I've like gotten
- 8:16used to sitting in the discomfort of my own, you know, jealousy or rage or grief or whatever.
- 8:22It stops being painful.
- 8:23It stops feeling like it's crushing you and you start feeling the different places in
- 8:28your body where things are moving.
- 8:30And then when it all moves and your brain does its thing where it like tells you a bunch
- 8:34of like lies about how the world is ending or, you know what I mean, whatever it's doing.
- 8:40When all that settles and you push all of that over to here where it's like, okay, well,
- 8:45actually, these are things I don't understand since they came up and smacked me in the face
- 8:48while I'm freaking out.
- 8:50It's like solutions just kind of come up, but that it's like it has to move first.
- 8:57Otherwise, you make decisions, same to your old product, because you have your nervous
- 9:01system remembers everything that you've been bringing.
- 9:04It's like trying to predict the future, which how do you relax into openness if you're used
- 9:11to bracing every time you feel that intense energy?
- 9:15I learned to just get excited about it, like, oh, okay, something's moving.
- 9:20And then I'll just like, you know, I'm Marco Polo, Gary, many times like crying obnoxiously
- 9:25over like this sad piece in this cartoon.
- 9:28And he's like, okay, Lizzie, sure.
- 9:34And it's not like I'm not acknowledging you.
- 9:41Well, this is great.
- 9:42Listen, I appreciate that, Lizzie.
- 9:44And I appreciate you.
- 9:45And I appreciate those Marco Polo's because you're being your authentic self.
- 9:49And I love that about you.
- 9:51But also, Halos, I love the fact you bring it up.
- 9:54This is very when it comes to like a psychology, because when we're talking amongst the three
- 9:59of us, that's great.
- 10:00But we're also speaking to a very wide audience.
- 10:02And most of our audience, I would like to believe we're all very spiritual.
- 10:08And this is something like I said, it's kind of conflicting in my life, because for many,
- 10:12many years, like I said, stuck in a 3D world, I was just based upon the 3D earth.
- 10:20And yes, emotions were one of the things that I just gone through, because I figured, well,
- 10:26that's just the human experience.
- 10:27This is the way we are.
- 10:29And then when I started getting into the spiritual community, and I started seeing things from
- 10:33a much different perspective, when I started gaining more momentum in my meditations, and
- 10:38it became more intense.
- 10:41I said, this is great.
- 10:42It's great to sit quiet and not worry about emotions.
- 10:46And then you get thrown right back into that 3D world.
- 10:50We do need to understand that there's separation.
- 10:55No one should, who's trying to be spiritual, shouldn't be told you have to be one way all
- 11:02the time and just disregard all emotions.
- 11:07Again, like I said, with jobs, some jobs that we have, it requires us some emotions.
- 11:13My job gets, there's sometimes a lot of anger.
- 11:18And I have to acknowledge that though.
- 11:20I have to acknowledge, yes, I'm being angry, but there's a cause behind it.
- 11:26I'm not doing it to lessen my spirituality.
- 11:30I'm just stuck in a 3D world right now.
- 11:33Through meditation, I could release all of that and I could come back to what I am and
- 11:38I can respect everybody, even those that I was angry towards.
- 11:42So I appreciate you bringing up the whole psychology of this because, yeah, I believe
- 11:46there is a lot that people are experiencing and questioning, well, am I really spiritual
- 11:53if I'm going through these emotions?
- 11:56Yeah, no, that's something I had to talk to my friend about.
- 12:02She's going through a difficult time and she's like, yeah, I just, I feel like all
- 12:06of the spiritual work I've done just gone out the window because I feel so angry all
- 12:09the time.
- 12:10And I'm like, no.
- 12:11Also, that's another thing.
- 12:12When you build your capacity to hold these large emotions, you will be given larger doses
- 12:17of those emotions.
- 12:18So it's going to come back even more intense because you're at a heightened state of consciousness
- 12:23to where you can hold that now, to where you wouldn't have been able to before.
- 12:27And yeah, like that's also something that I've been experiencing is because I have been
- 12:31doing the work to the capacity that I have been, I've been getting these emotions or
- 12:37just like, yeah, all these suppressed emotions coming up full force.
- 12:40And it's been very intense.
- 12:41And I'm like, why am I not like peaceful anymore?
- 12:44Like, what's going on?
- 12:46And I'm like, OK, this is the thing, though, is I think this is another thing that is so
- 12:51important to remember is the spiral of life because nothing is linear and that's especially
- 12:56not healing.
- 12:57And we do go through it in phases and we'll kind of go through a phase.
- 13:00We're building that capacity and then we're hit with like this wave of something that
- 13:05needs to be dealt with because we're strong enough to hold it now.
- 13:08And so, yeah, I just have to remind myself that that is a gateway to expansion.
- 13:13And I really like what Lizzie said, too, is that we kind of get caught up in this idea
- 13:16that we have to suffer.
- 13:18But once you become more comfortable with it, it doesn't feel like it's suffering anymore.
- 13:21And I think that this is very strange for me this past time to experience so many emotions
- 13:27and not really feel like trapped by them.
- 13:30I saw them more as an opportunity to grow rather than an obstacle because like, oh,
- 13:34I know what this is like.
- 13:35This is just me preparing myself to grow more.
- 13:39And like this is just teaching me.
- 13:41And so, yeah, it's really important that we do see those as opportunities or all of our
- 13:48emotions are opportunities and they don't have to be something that evokes suffering,
- 13:52but rather wisdom.
- 13:54I love that.
- 13:55And I also feel it's really important to add that as you're exploring, allowing your own
- 14:00emotions to come out, it, of course, is important to attempt not to hurt other people.
- 14:05But sometimes if you're being real with yourself, OK, it sounds kind of silly, but me and my
- 14:12husband got in an argument a little bit ago.
- 14:14So I'm terrified of moths, like this reasonably terrified.
- 14:19And there was a moth and it came and found us in the bathroom when we were getting ready
- 14:25for bed.
- 14:26And he's like, let's just close the door like it'll stay in here.
- 14:29You're just fine.
- 14:30And I'm like, OK, it's late, like it's fine.
- 14:33And so then we're in the living room talking and this moth comes up and flies underneath
- 14:37his arm right up into my face, which is my fear because they always fly into my face.
- 14:43And then it goes and lands on the wall.
- 14:45And I'm like, can you please catch that moth?
- 14:47And he's like, I really don't want to.
- 14:50I really just want to go to bed and not chase a moth around.
- 14:53And I was I was mad about it.
- 14:54And I was like, OK, whatever.
- 14:55Like, I'm a strong, independent woman.
- 14:56I don't need no man.
- 14:57Right.
- 14:58Like my brain starts going through all those things and I just let myself be angry.
- 15:04Right.
- 15:05Not meaning that he's like a terrible person.
- 15:07I'm just angry about this thing.
- 15:08And when I let all my anger go, something that came to my mind afterwards was it's valid
- 15:15that I'm angry, but it's also valid.
- 15:17He didn't want to catch the moth like he catches so many bugs for me throughout the day.
- 15:23Like he's tired.
- 15:24It's a well-established thing in our relationship that like after about 10 p.m. like he just
- 15:29needs to go to bed.
- 15:30This is established.
- 15:31You know what I mean?
- 15:32And so although it's fair that I was mad he wouldn't catch the moth because I'm terrified
- 15:37of it.
- 15:38It is just a moth.
- 15:39And what I really, really wanted was to be less afraid of the moth.
- 15:44That's what I wanted.
- 15:45But I had to allow myself to chill, to be angry because if I didn't let myself be angry
- 15:53at him and skip to like, well, he doesn't have to do it.
- 15:56Now, I just like deny myself this whole experience where I actually ran through all the things
- 16:02my brain is saying that I actually disagree with what my body wants to say.
- 16:08This is important.
- 16:09You know what I mean?
- 16:10Yeah.
- 16:11Oh my gosh.
- 16:12I love that.
- 16:13And I think that it's so important, as you said, like really you just didn't want to
- 16:20be afraid of the moth.
- 16:22That's where the issue is coming from.
- 16:23It didn't have anything to do with him because I kind of went through a similar thing like
- 16:27going through an agreement or disagreement.
- 16:29And yeah, it really it helps so much because I have this friend who's very spiritual and
- 16:34he just went on a spiritual journey and he was talking about how in the wilderness a
- 16:39bear charged at him.
- 16:41And immediately he wanted to run out of the circle because they're like in a circle.
- 16:44But he didn't.
- 16:45And he closed his eyes and he prayed and the bear like went away.
- 16:49And he was like saying how much of a metaphor it was for life because these things are going
- 16:53to provoke us and we're going to have these emotions come up.
- 16:56But if we step out of the circle of love, if we step out of our prayer, then that's
- 17:01no one's fault except our own.
- 17:03Like we have to learn how to deal with our emotions in a way that it's not hurting other
- 17:08people or seeing other people at fault for that.
- 17:11Because yeah.
- 17:12Okay.
- 17:13I love this metaphor and I think that it works for so many people for certain stages of their
- 17:24spiritual awakening.
- 17:25But that same metaphor is what basically destroyed my life because that's the thing was everything
- 17:34that I was taught was about just be love.
- 17:37And so I was like, I let everybody do their thing.
- 17:41I stood up for myself, but in the most respectful way possible, but a completely polar side
- 17:48of that truth that I was not acknowledging that I'm just barely recently starting to
- 17:52understand is that the tension that we learn to just like let move through us sometimes
- 18:00doesn't want to move through us.
- 18:03Sometimes it's asking for something to be like built.
- 18:07It's common with like a purpose.
- 18:09And so sometimes, yeah, you can close your eyes and pray about it.
- 18:14Right.
- 18:15And maybe it does just bypass you.
- 18:18That's an important part of learning how to like harness that like beautiful love frequency.
- 18:24But the thing is, is living in that every day all the time isn't really authentic to
- 18:28us.
- 18:29There's a reason we feel this like resistance.
- 18:32And what was happening to me was when I would do that metaphor of like just, you know, allowing
- 18:38it and, you know, using affirmations, frequency, music, meditating, all this stuff, it kept
- 18:44clamping down harder and harder and harder until I had no food, no money.
- 18:49Like I had nothing, nothing.
- 18:52And I still just kept doing it.
- 18:56And I existed just at that spot until I started doing it just like a little bit differently
- 19:02because I think that every truth has two polar truths.
- 19:05And whenever you explore one to a certain degree, it's like it almost starts harming
- 19:10you to do it.
- 19:12And that's kind of the way that it pushes us to try the other way, but only because
- 19:17that's the way we've patterned to learn.
- 19:19And so I don't want it to be like it has to be that way.
- 19:22Because that's a lot of times when we move is because something's tense.
- 19:27And so it's like, if you want to, if that's your instinct to close your eyes and pray,
- 19:33then that's exactly what you should do.
- 19:35And whatever comes of that is exactly what's supposed to happen.
- 19:39But if you don't feel like praying, if you feel like running from the bear, then that's
- 19:44probably the most authentic thing for you in that moment.
- 19:47You know what I mean?
- 19:48It's not like one action is higher resonance, it's what does your body want to do?
- 19:53That'll always tell you what's the best for you.
- 19:56That's a great point.
- 20:00Yeah, I'm listening to all of this and I'm amazed to see how all three of us, we see
- 20:10things in a different way.
- 20:12However, we're also seeing things in the very same way as well.
- 20:17And I think this is an important lesson to anybody that's listening to this.
- 20:21We are our own true selves.
- 20:26And the whole point of our conversation here is really acknowledge yourself.
- 20:32That's all you have to do.
- 20:35You don't have to be so tied up in the entire spiritual, you know, guidance and words.
- 20:44There's no script to this.
- 20:45We write our own little playbooks every single day.
- 20:50That's what helps us get along.
- 20:53And this entire bear metaphor is perfect.
- 20:57It's a fight or flight reaction.
- 21:00Like Lizzie said, hey, maybe your body at that moment says, hey, run, there's a bear
- 21:05coming.
- 21:06That moment, if that's what you feel strongly and you run, that's your survival mode.
- 21:14But if you're feeling spiritually strong enough to where you're just going to sit there
- 21:18and pray, and then the bear walks away, that too is now your survival as well.
- 21:26Go ahead, Lizzie, am I misinterpreting?
- 21:29Yeah, I was just going to say that what I was acknowledging was that it's not whether
- 21:37you're spiritually sound enough to pray the bear away.
- 21:42The thing is, is that for one person, they are learning to calm and center themselves.
- 21:47Whereas another person might be learning to move when the fire gets hot.
- 21:53Another person might be learning how to stand up for themselves.
- 21:56Maybe the best thing for them is to scream at the bear.
- 22:00That might be the most in resonance for their experience.
- 22:04And so it's not necessarily like trying to figure out what the best quantum answer is
- 22:09and trying to accomplish it, so much as what is the right thing for you right now, which
- 22:14is only you can determine.
- 22:16Does that make sense?
- 22:19It does.
- 22:20It clarifies.
- 22:21Yeah.
- 22:22And again, it is, yeah, just like you said, it is that experience at that point, based
- 22:27upon the person and what it is we're going to feel at that moment.
- 22:32It's going to work for us.
- 22:34So we need to, just like the whole conversation is coming to is like, we need to acknowledge
- 22:38our emotions because they're human emotions.
- 22:43And they have human reactions as well.
- 22:47But if you're going to wind up being an evil person your whole life, that too is a conscientious
- 22:52choice.
- 22:53You're not going to be on that higher spiritual plane as the rest of us.
- 22:59But you made a conscientious choice to be evil.
- 23:03And that's why I think the word balance falls into this.
- 23:06I think, again, Halo is correcting me if I'm wrong, with Buddhism too, they teach a lot
- 23:11about balance, if I'm not mistaken, yeah.
- 23:15So I think this is the greatest message we're actually bringing forward.
- 23:21I think we can talk about this a lot.
- 23:24And there may even be future episodes where we could expand on this because I appreciate
- 23:30this.
- 23:31I love it.
- 23:32This is what Lizzie and I were excited to have Halo sit in here because Lizzie and I,
- 23:35we can sit here and talk all the time, but sometimes after a while, it's just Lizzie
- 23:39and I.
- 23:40When we throw in somebody else, it's great.
- 23:41And Halos, you really do.
- 23:43I think spiritually too, you're connected in a very, I just want to say it's in a way
- 23:50where I'm very comfortable listening and I'm very receptive to everything that you're saying
- 23:56too.
- 23:57It's a lot like Lizzie, when she talks, she's great at giving her interpretations of life
- 24:05or whatever it may be too.
- 24:07And I just feel like I'm in great company, but I think we have to think beyond us too
- 24:12and think about our audience as well because really everybody out there that's listening,
- 24:18everyone's experiencing something in life and we're all experiencing it in different
- 24:22ways.
- 24:23But in the end, we're under the same roof of the cosmos and we're all part of that cosmos.
- 24:29And once we acknowledge that, we are much better and then we become better as a society.
- 24:34Yes.
- 24:35Beautifully said.
- 24:36I love that.
- 24:37Thanks.
- 24:38Well, on that note, I will leave it on that ending because I think that's a very important
- 24:46message and I really want to express to the audience, if you ever need to reach out to
- 24:52any of us, whether it be Lizzie, whether it be Halos, whether it be Elaine, churchofvosatgmail.com,
- 24:58just reach out to us.
- 25:00And also please tune into my Wednesday night guided meditations if you haven't already
- 25:05because I'm having a three-part series on third eye meditation.
- 25:10So tune in for that.
- 25:12I spent a lot of time with it.
- 25:13I feel very proud of it and I would love to share it with everybody.
- 25:17And again, if you want to work with me on meditations, one-on-one, churchofvosatgmail.com.
- 25:25And Halos, real quick, give your information if someone wants to reach out to you directly.
- 25:29Yeah.
- 25:30So my information is going to be through my website at unifiedfrequency.com and unified
- 25:36is spelled U-N-I-F-E-Y-E-D, like I in the middle.
- 25:43And yeah, that's just going to be contact at unifiedfrequency.com.
- 25:47That's my email.
- 25:49And I will definitely make sure that there is a link down in the synopsis and don't forget
- 25:53to read the synopsis because the last time nobody read the synopsis, nobody knew what
- 25:59was going on with the argument between Lizzie and me.
- 26:02So everybody, thank you again so much for tuning in.
- 26:05I want to thank Lizzie as always.
- 26:07Thank you so much.
- 26:08Halos, thank you as well for joining us.
- 26:10This is beautiful.
- 26:11I really appreciate it.
- 26:13And don't forget, tune in every Monday morning when we have our shows.
- 26:16And don't forget to tune in Thursday night, 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time when Lizzie and
- 26:21I give our sermons.
- 26:23They're live across Facebook and YouTube, and then you can catch the recording immediately
- 26:28after.
