- 0:00Speaker 1: Clarity shock incoming or is it? Today we'll break it
- 0:02Speaker 1: down for you guys.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Maybe there is.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Something brewing here that might bring clarity off life support.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Let's take a look.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Before we get started, I want to thank our sponsor
- 0:11Speaker 1: and that's EtherFi where you guys can earn cash back
- 0:14Speaker 1: as well as doing tokenized stock trades.
- 0:17Speaker 2: All of this is available over on Ether.Fi, be smart money.
- 0:20Speaker 1: A ton of features built for every asset you get
- 0:23Speaker 1: to spend on this. There's a whole slew of personal
- 0:26Speaker 1: and business core platforms that you can use. whether you
- 0:30Speaker 1: get into making it kind of your own new bank
- 0:33Speaker 1: or whether or not you want to use this as
- 0:35Speaker 1: a business platform or even lux up and get into
- 0:38Speaker 1: some of the better yielding platforms that are out there.
- 0:41Speaker 2: So check out EtherFi. All you have to do is
- 0:44Speaker 2: visit it, EtherFi.com. Use our link down below.
- 0:46Speaker 1: It's going to get you set up and you guys
- 0:48Speaker 1: can get started where you can get away from the banks.
- 0:52Speaker 1: All right, let's go into it and go over to
- 0:54Speaker 1: the statement right here from Eleanor. She hit on this,
- 0:57Speaker 1: Senate Republicans have released updated Clarity Act texts. So the
- 1:00Speaker 1: point is, is they are still working on this. Non-decentralized
- 1:04Speaker 1: DeFi protocols are now set to register with the CFTC.
- 1:10Speaker 1: So this was being worked on. While they're on vacation, essentially,
- 1:14Speaker 1: is something else brewing? So this week, there's been a
- 1:17Speaker 1: lot of bearish statements. One of them, of course, came
- 1:20Speaker 1: from Patrick Witt. He says, we'll look our wounds very
- 1:22Speaker 1: quickly if this, in fact, does not go through. Additionally,
- 1:26Speaker 1: within that, you also had the Wall Street Journal out
- 1:29Speaker 1: there pushing pretty hard on it. If you think about this,
- 1:32Speaker 1: before you vote against crypto, this is an interesting strategy
- 1:38Speaker 1: from an ad perspective because it does put a lot.
- 1:40Speaker 2: More pressure on this.
- 1:41Speaker 1: And if you go over to Polymarket right now, something
- 1:45Speaker 1: weird just happened right there. On September 11th, right there,
- 1:49Speaker 1: 28% probability spike. Why?
- 1:53Speaker 2: Now, of course, it settled back in. holding at 18%.
- 1:56Speaker 1: But the whole point is when you see those kinds,
- 1:58Speaker 1: have we seen anything like that before in the last month?
- 2:02Speaker 1: Let's go to the last month. Not really other than
- 2:04Speaker 1: the downtrend. So interesting times, guys. We are looking at
- 2:09Speaker 1: a potential here that could change things up. Now here's
- 2:12Speaker 1: Kara Colvert coming in from Coinbase. Simply what she's saying
- 2:15Speaker 1: is there is moves to maybe help the regional banks.
- 2:19Speaker 1: And this is in reference to, no pun intended, the
- 2:22Speaker 1: partnership with MOVE, And the partnership is going to give
- 2:25Speaker 1: more than 1,000 small and community banks access to stable
- 2:28Speaker 1: coin infrastructure. If you're in a small bank, you're going
- 2:31Speaker 1: to have stable coins in there in your bank soon.
- 2:33Speaker 2: So get ready. One last point is, is that.
- 2:35Speaker 1: This would pretty much eliminate the idea of an argument
- 2:38Speaker 1: that regional banks are going to lose deposit flight.
- 2:40Speaker 2: This is going to amp it up.
- 2:42Speaker 1: And this, of course, puts a bullseye right on JP
- 2:44Speaker 1: Morgan that they have no longer are going to be
- 2:47Speaker 1: able to argue that point. Let's go to a clip
- 2:49Speaker 1: real quick because this is Patrick Witt talking about that
- 2:52Speaker 1: both sides may vote on this anyway.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Take a look.
- 2:55Speaker 3: I'm optimistic about the 15th. It's obviously a procedural vote. So,
- 2:59Speaker 3: you know, we're communicating to folks that even if we
- 3:03Speaker 3: can't necessarily make the change right up front on the
- 3:05Speaker 3: front end, the way that you ultimately address the concern
- 3:09Speaker 3: that you have is by getting on the bill and
- 3:11Speaker 3: then working through the amendment process to get something in
- 3:14Speaker 3: there to resolve their concerns. So I'm feeling pretty good
- 3:18Speaker 3: about it.
- 3:19Speaker 4: Do you think there's a world where we see some
- 3:21Speaker 4: of these Democrats vote for the procedural vote, but then
- 3:23Speaker 4: not wind up voting for passage?
- 3:25Speaker 3: Honestly, if I were advising them, I would say that's
- 3:29Speaker 3: probably what they should do. They should get on the bill.
- 3:32Speaker 3: They should continue to discuss these issues for rewards and yield,
- 3:37Speaker 3: for example. That's a lot of the conversations that I've
- 3:39Speaker 3: had with different senators on the Republican side, too, is
- 3:42Speaker 3: your concerns for your community banks cannot get addressed if
- 3:46Speaker 3: you don't get on this bill. And for Democrats, your
- 3:49Speaker 3: concerns about ethics will not be addressed.
- 3:52Speaker 2: If this bill fails.
- 3:53Speaker 3: So I would say to everyone, Republican and Democrat, get
- 3:56Speaker 3: on the bill and let's keep talking.
- 3:58Speaker 1: All right, so everybody may end up voting on this
- 4:01Speaker 1: just to keep negotiations rolling through, as you heard Patrick
- 4:04Speaker 1: Witt talk about that. Cody Carbone also had kind of
- 4:08Speaker 1: a target that you need to be looking at, and
- 4:10Speaker 1: that is whether or not Trump says anything about ethics.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Be watching. Here's a clip.
- 4:14Speaker 5: It is ethics, ethics, ethics. Yes, there are other issues
- 4:17Speaker 5: as it relates to the BRCA, as it relates to
- 4:19Speaker 5: stablecoin yields. but you're not getting 60 votes no matter
- 4:23Speaker 5: what without an ethics resolution. The White House is going
- 4:26Speaker 5: to have to come out and say something on the
- 4:29Speaker 5: ethics proposal from Senators Tillis and Gallego.
- 4:33Speaker 1: All right, so to that point, watch for notes coming
- 4:37Speaker 1: out of the White House. It could come from President Trump.
- 4:39Speaker 1: He sometimes will go off the cuff. The other thing
- 4:42Speaker 1: you have to look at is another carrot that is
- 4:45Speaker 1: being dangled out there. This comes in from Patrick Witt
- 4:48Speaker 1: talking about the SEC seats. The Democrats are wanting to
- 4:52Speaker 1: get in on this.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Watch this clip.
- 4:55Speaker 4: Minority leader Chuck Schumer had sent names to the White
- 4:58Speaker 4: House for those jobs. When do you think we see
- 5:01Speaker 4: the White House put those names forward?
- 5:04Speaker 3: You know, it's part of the clarity negotiation. And, you know,
- 5:07Speaker 3: we've also made clear that as part of getting this
- 5:10Speaker 3: bill done, there would be an agreement on advancing Democrat
- 5:14Speaker 3: commissioners to both commissions. So, again, another reason why, if
- 5:18Speaker 3: you're a Democrat, this is a reason to vote for
- 5:21Speaker 3: this bill. All right.
- 5:23Speaker 1: A reason to vote for the bill. You can kind
- 5:25Speaker 1: of see it. Other things to watch, guys, right now,
- 5:27Speaker 1: you've got the Solana Summit coming up literally the day
- 5:30Speaker 1: before Clarity. That's on September 14th. So Washington and Wall
- 5:33Speaker 1: Street getting ready for that. You also have ARK's mainnet
- 5:37Speaker 1: launching on the 16th. So interesting timings happening right now.
- 5:43Speaker 1: And if you look at it with mainnet launching, they're
- 5:45Speaker 1: having a whole event on this thing. So This could
- 5:48Speaker 1: be a lot bigger deal than people are giving it
- 5:51Speaker 1: credit for.
- 5:51Speaker 2: So be on the lookout for that.
- 5:54Speaker 1: One thing I do want to say is that if
- 5:56Speaker 1: there is a stock or a token to watch, Circle
- 5:59Speaker 1: may be one of those to keep an eye on,
- 6:01Speaker 1: because if this does go through in any way. Circle's
- 6:04Speaker 1: going to have a pump. If you look at any
- 6:06Speaker 1: kind of issues with the Fed, Circle most likely will
- 6:09Speaker 1: get a pump because if.
- 6:10Speaker 2: We get a rate hike.
- 6:11Speaker 1: So there's a lot of variables here that could push
- 6:13Speaker 1: that stock. And if you look at what PolyMarket's rate
- 6:17Speaker 1: right now is holding at, we're still looking at a
- 6:20Speaker 1: quarter basis points as a possible rate hike, holding at
- 6:23Speaker 1: around 82%. So let me jump over to a clip
- 6:26Speaker 1: real quick. This is Aave on the ARK launch.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Take a look.
- 6:29Speaker 6: This is the last stream before Mainnet.
- 6:33Speaker 3: Aave is one of the hottest platforms right now in DeFi.
- 6:36Speaker 6: Being on ARK on day one.
- 6:38Speaker 7: We're wanting to borrow USDC. I'll be responsible and borrow
- 6:43Speaker 7: 25 bucks. You'll see borrow APY here, which is how
- 6:47Speaker 7: much you're going to have to pay for the privilege
- 6:49Speaker 7: of this loan. is that right now on Mainnet in particular,
- 6:53Speaker 7: there's kind of like a rebate for borrowing USDC. So
- 6:56Speaker 7: the rate is quite cheap. You can see the default
- 6:58Speaker 7: rate is 3.9%, but there's a 2% rebate. So if
- 7:02Speaker 7: you want a cheap loan between now and the ARK
- 7:04Speaker 7: deployment in USDC, I guess now is the time. Let's
- 7:08Speaker 7: say you're building a payments app for freelancers or something
- 7:11Speaker 7: in South America.
- 7:12Speaker 2: One of the core.
- 7:13Speaker 7: Features you could offer, because Aave will be live on ARK,
- 7:16Speaker 7: is that you could offer USDC Guild to your users natively,
- 7:20Speaker 7: powered by Aave. And so there are products like Etherfy,
- 7:24Speaker 7: for example, who replaced their whole Etherfy cash credit. They
- 7:27Speaker 7: have this like card thing and it has a credit
- 7:30Speaker 7: backend on it. They replaced the whole credit backend with v4.
- 7:33Speaker 7: And so it gives developers a new level of flexibility
- 7:37Speaker 7: and your local bank does not match that.
- 7:39Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 7:40Speaker 1: So you see there's going to be some pressure on
- 7:42Speaker 1: the banks that could cause, especially with this ARK launch.
- 7:45Speaker 2: So get ready.
- 7:45Speaker 1: That could cause a little bit of a turmoil within
- 7:48Speaker 1: the banking community. If you look at the DeFi llama
- 7:51Speaker 1: right now on Robinhood, it has.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Started to decline. That's right.
- 7:56Speaker 1: It started to decline. And the reason is this right here.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Solana has reclaimed its position as the top source of trading.
- 8:03Speaker 1: All of this coming on 11 consecutive days of dominance
- 8:06Speaker 1: held by Robinhood. When you look at that, what is it? Well,
- 8:10Speaker 1: it's this right here. We're talking about X stocks now
- 8:13Speaker 1: pushing 300,000 unique holders by bringing in 20,000 plus in
- 8:17Speaker 1: the last 24 hours. All of this is pushing to
- 8:21Speaker 1: coming where we're going to see more tokenized, I think,
- 8:23Speaker 1: on Solana. And it does push this into things like stock,
- 8:27Speaker 1: which is one of the platforms that we've seen crazy
- 8:30Speaker 1: growth on. And I think as you start to see
- 8:33Speaker 1: the shift here, whether it is going to be Robinhood,
- 8:35Speaker 1: and it's going to be a battle. It's going to
- 8:36Speaker 1: be a battle between Solana, I think, and Robinhood going forward.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Vubu kind of hit it right here. NASDAQ trading almost
- 8:42Speaker 1: $ 60 million. And right now, Solana trading at $ 32 million
- 8:46Speaker 1: in terms of the number of trades. So just about
- 8:49Speaker 1: 2x to go to be able to hit that. Last
- 8:52Speaker 1: up is if you're not watching Joop, they are getting
- 8:54Speaker 1: ready to launch something big. This is setting up around
- 8:57Speaker 1: yield strategies managed by someone. If you haven't opened your
- 9:01Speaker 1: Joop app here recently, do it, and you'll start to
- 9:04Speaker 1: understand some of the things that they are doing that
- 9:06Speaker 1: would align with where this market is going. Talking about alignment,
- 9:10Speaker 1: you've got the UK House of Lords now passing an
- 9:13Speaker 1: amendment that simply says, hey, we've got to have a
- 9:14Speaker 1: digital asset strategy within the next 12 months covering crypto specifically.
- 9:20Speaker 1: And the other points behind that is that Canada's banking
- 9:23Speaker 1: regulator says banks now can launch blockchain deposit products this year.
- 9:29Speaker 2: That's 2026.
- 9:29Speaker 1: So let's go over and take a look at the
- 9:32Speaker 1: digital Canadian dollar, what they're highlighting right here. The bank
- 9:36Speaker 1: is scaling down its work on a retail central bank
- 9:38Speaker 1: digital currency and shifting to its focus on broader payment
- 9:42Speaker 1: system research. You know what that means, guys. That means blockchain.
- 9:46Speaker 1: I want to end with a couple of clips. Here
- 9:48Speaker 1: is someone you might recognize. This is eight years ago.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Take a look.
- 9:52Speaker 8: This sort of vision of us sitting in the pub
- 9:55Speaker 8: doing simultaneously clearing the price of the drinks. using this technology.
- 10:01Speaker 8: How do you see that? That's about just getting rid
- 10:02Speaker 8: of the middleman in financial transactions.
- 10:04Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean, so part of the genius, if you will,
- 10:07Speaker 9: of cryptocurrencies is that, as we all know, they're distributed.
- 10:11Speaker 9: They cut out the central banks, they cut out the banks,
- 10:13Speaker 9: and they're ideally directly peer-to-peer between.
- 10:15Speaker 8: You and I.
- 10:16Speaker 9: And what we're doing at the Bank of England is
- 10:18Speaker 9: we're reorganizing the core of the system in a way
- 10:22Speaker 9: that allows new payment providers to just plug in. You're
- 10:26Speaker 9: seeing similar innovation amongst banks in the U.S., other places.
- 10:30Speaker 9: And so this is coming. Bringing cryptocurrencies into the regulated tent,
- 10:36Speaker 9: if you will, some will grow, many more will fall
- 10:40Speaker 9: by the wayside. But that's a good thing.
- 10:42Speaker 2: All right. You recognize that.
- 10:45Speaker 1: That, of course, Mark Carney, now the prime minister in Canada.
- 10:49Speaker 1: All of this planning way out ahead. I want to
- 10:52Speaker 1: go to this last clip. And again, this will get
- 10:56Speaker 1: to the point where the banks might be screwed.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Take a look.
- 10:59Speaker 6: For the past year and a half, we've been building,
- 11:02Speaker 6: building the very things that bring our communities together, that
- 11:05Speaker 6: stand the test of time. So even though the United
- 11:07Speaker 6: States trade actions will cause us some challenges in the
- 11:10Speaker 6: short term, we are going to just move faster, make
- 11:13Speaker 6: it even more attractive to invest here in Canada, and
- 11:17Speaker 6: break down more barriers between our provinces so we can
- 11:20Speaker 6: become our own best customer.
- 11:22Speaker 8: If you're J.P. Morgan or any financial institution, you're basically
- 11:27Speaker 8: saying you think the most positive thing about this technology
- 11:29Speaker 8: is it can get rid of all the profits that
- 11:31Speaker 8: you make as a financial intermediary. Is that basically where
- 11:34Speaker 8: you're going?
- 11:34Speaker 9: Well, I'm not going to speak for individual financial institutions.
- 11:38Speaker 9: Maybe more money from understanding their customers better, more money
- 11:42Speaker 9: from providing other core banking services. But look, Payment costs
- 11:48Speaker 9: are going to keep going down. The profits from this business,
- 11:50Speaker 9: I would expect, will go down.
- 11:52Speaker 2: All right.
- 11:53Speaker 1: So you can see there, JP Morgan definitely called out.
- 11:56Speaker 1: I think the point now is things are shifting in
- 11:59Speaker 1: a very big way.
- 12:00Speaker 2: All of this happening, guys, all at once. So stay tuned.
