- 0:03Speaker 1: You might you're looking for Christmas presents, get one of
- 0:05Speaker 1: her books for somebody. Also, of course, follow her on
- 0:08Speaker 1: Twitter and substack. Even better, she's got interviews and videos
- 0:12Speaker 1: and podcasts, all sorts of stuff on substack. You go
- 0:15Speaker 1: to andculter dot substack dot com and culter.
- 0:20Speaker 2: How you doing fantastic? How are you marks alone?
- 0:23Speaker 1: Well, I'm good, I'm good. I love the Christmas season.
- 0:27Speaker 1: It seems to make the left wing cooks even more miserable.
- 0:30Speaker 2: I enjoy that. I love it too. You remind me
- 0:36Speaker 2: we have to go see the tree in Rockefeller Center.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Yeah, we're gonna walk by it every y I walk by.
- 0:41Speaker 1: I'll walk by it later today. So, uh, this whole
- 0:45Speaker 1: thing about affordable housing, you know when they said we
- 0:48Speaker 1: don't have affordable housing, well you really not conna ever
- 0:51Speaker 1: have any on Park Avenue. And there's certain areas that
- 0:53Speaker 1: are gonna be expensive and other areas well, where did
- 0:56Speaker 1: this thing come? Everywhere in the world has to be.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Afford Well, rents are very high in New York. I'm
- 1:06Speaker 2: glad you mentioned affordability. What what what causes? Uhnts? Rents
- 1:11Speaker 2: and purchase prices to be so high in New York
- 1:14Speaker 2: as as anyone in Econ one oh one class will
- 1:18Speaker 2: take impacts. You don't even have to take Econ one
- 1:20Speaker 2: oh one on my financial illiterate reduce the supply of something,
- 1:24Speaker 2: prices go up. Rent control every place in the universe,
- 1:28Speaker 2: it's ever been tried. They could try it on Mars.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Suddenly you'll have massively unaffordable housing. And oh my gosh,
- 1:35Speaker 2: we need the government to build affordable housing. Just just
- 1:38Speaker 2: let the market cut loose. Developers build more stuff that
- 1:42Speaker 2: I obviously want to build a quote affordable, that is
- 1:46Speaker 2: to say, less expensive housing. You know, Sam Walton has
- 1:50Speaker 2: done pretty well by providing affordable products to people. It's
- 1:54Speaker 2: not like in the market people are only going to
- 1:58Speaker 2: build fabulous places on Fifth Avenue. No, quite to the contrary,
- 2:01Speaker 2: But they don't build those now because they'll be subject
- 2:04Speaker 2: to rent control. And as you and probably your listeners,
- 2:08Speaker 2: so a lot of landlords in New York have been
- 2:10Speaker 2: forced to just walk away from apartments because their fees,
- 2:14Speaker 2: their taxes, their costs of repairs are higher than what
- 2:19Speaker 2: they're being paid in rent. So what are they supposed
- 2:22Speaker 2: to do? You know, carry these people for the rest
- 2:24Speaker 2: of their lives. No, you just need the market. And
- 2:27Speaker 2: of course one other issue, there is no there's no
- 2:30Speaker 2: problem under the sun that has not helped by mass
- 2:33Speaker 2: deportation of illegals.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Well, you know, I believe it not. In the Hamptons,
- 2:37Speaker 1: in East Hampton, there was a movement because in East
- 2:40Speaker 1: Tampon they didn't have low income housing, affordable movement to
- 2:43Speaker 1: get some and the whole town rose up and said,
- 2:45Speaker 1: it's the hamp that's not supposed to be any affordable housing.
- 2:48Speaker 1: That's in the next thing.
- 2:49Speaker 2: That's very funny. Yeah, No, the affordable housing has to
- 2:55Speaker 2: go in the poor, middle class neighborhood. Let's screw those people.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Give it all your life. Your parents are driving. You see,
- 3:01Speaker 1: you're in the car, you're driving. Look at these mansions.
- 3:03Speaker 1: What a beautiful thing. You keep driving and driving. Nixt
- 3:05Speaker 1: you know, you're in a really bad neighborhood. That's that's
- 3:08Speaker 1: always been that way. You can't equalize everything, can you.
- 3:12Speaker 2: No, that's a really good point. Actually, one of the
- 3:15Speaker 2: one of the wonderful things Trump did. What was the
- 3:19Speaker 2: name of it. There was this insane program under Obama
- 3:23Speaker 2: and Biden. Oh, it's on the tip of my tongue.
- 3:28Speaker 2: I can't think of it. But anyway, it was basically
- 3:31Speaker 2: doing exactly the madness you're describing. If someone couldn't afford
- 3:35Speaker 2: a family, couldn't afford to live, you know, in a
- 3:38Speaker 2: more expensive neighborhood dringde Connecticut or like you say, the
- 3:42Speaker 2: Hampton Park Avenue, under law, we had to subsidize them
- 3:49Speaker 2: to allow them to live in homes where they couldn't
- 3:53Speaker 2: afford the neighborhood, which is crazy. That's you can they
- 4:00Speaker 2: can find housing. They can find plenty of housing. Housing
- 4:02Speaker 2: in neighborhoods they can they can afford. It's just like
- 4:05Speaker 2: you know, affirmative action at colleges. No, you can get
- 4:07Speaker 2: into a college uh and have roughly the same SATs
- 4:11Speaker 2: as everyone you're competing against. But no, we're going to
- 4:15Speaker 2: elevate you to a college that's going to make you
- 4:17Speaker 2: feel stupid for the rest of your life.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Yeah, but these crazy left wing democrats, you know, the
- 4:24Speaker 1: double standards is unbelievable. Remember they dropped those illegals in Nantucket.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Thinking about that, they got rounded up and taken out
- 4:36Speaker 1: of there so fast that I didn't see any due
- 4:38Speaker 1: process there.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Did you?
- 4:39Speaker 1: Did you see any hearings before they got carried out
- 4:41Speaker 1: of there.
- 4:43Speaker 2: No, I was thinking about it because, and by the way,
- 4:46Speaker 2: I salute you, I have been so trying to ignore this,
- 4:50Speaker 2: you know, the Venezuela and Narco traffickers, whom Democrats are
- 4:54Speaker 2: wildly in favor of it. It's the new pet seal
- 4:57Speaker 2: on the left. But I was thinking test should round
- 5:00Speaker 2: them all up and send them to Martha's vineyards.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Yeah, that would you know?
- 5:06Speaker 2: You're right?
- 5:06Speaker 1: Actually, in that little harbor, I'd love to see those
- 5:08Speaker 1: Narcos speedboats coming in at one hundred and eighty miles
- 5:11Speaker 1: an hour.
- 5:13Speaker 2: It's right, just move them in both build be affordable
- 5:16Speaker 2: housing up there, and then put the Narco terrorists there.
- 5:20Speaker 1: All right, But how if you're NBC News, if you're
- 5:22Speaker 1: the New York Times, and the boat clearly has four
- 5:24Speaker 1: outboard super high speed outboard motors that cost almost two
- 5:28Speaker 1: hundred thousand dollars and it's going one hundred and eighty
- 5:31Speaker 1: miles an hour through the water in the middle of
- 5:32Speaker 1: the night, how could you claim that's a fishing boat?
- 5:41Speaker 2: How could they claim that Tucky Williams was, you know,
- 5:44Speaker 2: a hard working student framed for killing a cop or
- 5:48Speaker 2: Mumia Abu Jamal. This is their nature. You find a
- 5:53Speaker 2: predator on society and oh my gosh, we must start
- 5:57Speaker 2: a fundraiser for that person. I think they've moved on
- 6:00Speaker 2: from the fishermen. Now, well, this is what I'm writing
- 6:04Speaker 2: about this week. They have a scrolling series of preposterous
- 6:08Speaker 2: arguments in defense of narco terrists, whom I'll give you
- 6:12Speaker 2: one one little highlight. Last year was the last year
- 6:16Speaker 2: we have we have figures for cocaine which is absolutely
- 6:21Speaker 2: one hundred percent being shipped. It goes from from Colombia
- 6:25Speaker 2: to Venezuela. Venezuela sends it to Mexico and then it
- 6:28Speaker 2: comes Mexicans truck it up to the United States. Back
- 6:31Speaker 2: before the media felt like it had to lie about this,
- 6:33Speaker 2: this was written about about once a year in the
- 6:36Speaker 2: New York Times. This will all be covered in the
- 6:38Speaker 2: column going up later today. But in any event, twenty
- 6:41Speaker 2: twenty three, thirty thousand Americans died of overdoses from cocaine.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Nine to eleven. Three thousand Americans died, and we went
- 6:52Speaker 2: to war in two countries for twenty years. But thirty
- 6:55Speaker 2: thousand Americans, Oh no, we can't do anything in our hemisphere.
- 6:59Speaker 2: You have to go seven thousand miles away. Then we
- 7:01Speaker 2: don't mind for killing innocence.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Well, you know, for years they tried to think of
- 7:06Speaker 1: what to do about these cartel smuggling drugs, and we
- 7:09Speaker 1: maybe set up a commission to talk to Mexico. And
- 7:12Speaker 1: then I like the Trump approach. You watch a bomb
- 7:14Speaker 1: just hit the boat and blow it right out of
- 7:16Speaker 1: the water.
- 7:18Speaker 2: I mean, besides the joy of blowing up drug dealers,
- 7:21Speaker 2: you're absolutely right through through Republican administrations, Democratic administrations. US
- 7:27Speaker 2: attorneys keep indicting, I mean, all of all of Venezuela.
- 7:30Speaker 2: The only product they have is drugs, shipping drugs. They're
- 7:35Speaker 2: sitting on the largest reserve of oil in the world.
- 7:37Speaker 2: They can't get it out of the ground. Socialism works great.
- 7:40Speaker 2: So the entire country, right up to about the government,
- 7:43Speaker 2: the military, law enforcement, it is a drug cartel. This
- 7:47Speaker 2: is a country that is a drug cartel. So Obama, Trump,
- 7:51Speaker 2: they've all indicted Maduro, the head of intelligence. The indictment
- 7:56Speaker 2: they indict them, They accuse them of shipping cocaine to
- 8:00Speaker 2: the United States. Yes, your precious little Obama did this
- 8:03Speaker 2: New York Times. And then you know, maybe we'll get
- 8:06Speaker 2: an extradition and a couple of them have finally been
- 8:08Speaker 2: caught and gone to prison, and then some other somebody
- 8:11Speaker 2: else becomes a head of intelligence in Venezuela. Indicting people
- 8:15Speaker 2: in Abstentia is not working. What Trump is doing is working.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Therefore liberals are going nuts.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Yeah, so hey, also a Democrats, boy, they love tariff's Democrats.
- 8:27Speaker 1: You know, they call it a corporate tax, but it's
- 8:30Speaker 1: a teriff. The teriffing business is left and right, which
- 8:33Speaker 1: any time you put a tax on a corporation that
- 8:34Speaker 1: raises the prices.
- 8:35Speaker 2: So uh, that's a good point. No, I don't mind that.
- 8:39Speaker 2: You're right.
- 8:40Speaker 1: So hey, we just about at a time if somebody
- 8:42Speaker 1: wanted to give a Christmas present, what book of Years
- 8:44Speaker 1: would you recommend?
- 8:46Speaker 2: Because that's a good Oh, that's a good question. Book
- 8:48Speaker 2: is a great Christmas all my children. You know, the
- 8:52Speaker 2: last book, Resistance is futile. It is it is exactly
- 8:57Speaker 2: what's happening right now. Liberals have lost their minds with
- 9:01Speaker 2: with Trump. The point of the book is because because
- 9:04Speaker 2: they hate Trump so much, they can't make they can't
- 9:07Speaker 2: make serious, solid arguments, and they just keep helping him
- 9:11Speaker 2: with their with their lunatic HYSTERI and I go through
- 9:13Speaker 2: several examples of that. So that's a great one. And
- 9:15Speaker 2: Trump we trust also great now that he's being the
- 9:19Speaker 2: man I wrote the book.
- 9:20Speaker 1: About which Okay, good gad you approve.
- 9:24Speaker 2: Adios America of course, which which set off the phenomenon
- 9:28Speaker 2: that is the Trump.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Yeah, so we recommend this for a lot of authors.
- 9:34Speaker 1: You could go to a store a lot of stories
- 9:36Speaker 1: look for to get people books. It's a great gift.
- 9:38Speaker 1: It's nobody can complain. It's a it's a very important thing.
- 9:43Speaker 1: A books. So uh go to and culture on Amazon
- 9:47Speaker 1: you can get a book as a gift. And of
- 9:49Speaker 1: course follower on Twitter and substack. It's a culter dot
- 9:54Speaker 1: substack dot com and culter thanks for being with us.
