- 0:04Speaker 1: Welcome back to Artists on Artists on Artists on Artists
- 0:07Speaker 1: this week on the show, it is the biggest spectacular
- 0:11Speaker 1: of the year, and it happens between two rounds of football.
- 0:15Speaker 1: That's right. Today we're talking to very important luminaries behind
- 0:20Speaker 1: the Super Bowl halftime show.
- 0:23Speaker 2: The halftime show exists for the people who know the football,
- 0:28Speaker 2: people who don't know the football, and people just tuning
- 0:31Speaker 2: in for the first time ever. It's the spectacle in
- 0:35Speaker 2: between that damn football.
- 0:38Speaker 3: Lady Gaga once said that the halftime Super Bowl show
- 0:41Speaker 3: is the highest peak a musician or artist or performer
- 0:44Speaker 3: could make in their career on the American stage.
- 0:47Speaker 4: So put down that beer, don't grab the nachos now,
- 0:51Speaker 4: and listen in.
- 0:55Speaker 5: Wow, it's really nice to be with you guys.
- 1:00Speaker 6: So good to see you guys again.
- 1:02Speaker 4: It's like great to sit down with the team once
- 1:04Speaker 4: more and really dissect you know what we do.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Dude, this is freaking amazing. Bless you brother so much.
- 1:11Speaker 4: Bless you, thank you, thank you, thank you so much.
- 1:15Speaker 6: Guys.
- 1:16Speaker 2: So, uh, let's let's talk about it. Football is the
- 1:21Speaker 2: name of the game, right, Do you feel this way
- 1:25Speaker 2: about the halftime show that football is the name of
- 1:27Speaker 2: the game, and.
- 1:29Speaker 1: I'm wondering what the name of the gamies. I realized
- 1:32Speaker 1: it's always football.
- 1:33Speaker 4: It's almost always. Sometimes I have to remember, I'm like,
- 1:36Speaker 4: what game are we playing here? Because I'm so focused
- 1:38Speaker 4: on the halftime show, I.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Think the name of the game is America. Yeah, B stage,
- 1:44Speaker 3: B stage for the beast artists come in and fly up.
- 1:49Speaker 6: Yeah, that's great, it's so true, so fun. We have
- 1:53Speaker 6: to live performance a number one.
- 2:03Speaker 4: You would not just settle for Americans to put on
- 2:05Speaker 4: a show like this. You need international.
- 2:07Speaker 2: No, no, because we need you know, this is such
- 2:10Speaker 2: a this is sort of peak American culture, and so
- 2:12Speaker 2: in a way we need total outsiders to show us
- 2:15Speaker 2: who we are. That makes sense.
- 2:17Speaker 1: My name is Obra ring Lenik. I am from Ricky
- 2:21Speaker 1: Vick Iceland, and ye are the lighting and visual designer
- 2:27Speaker 1: of the many halftime shows you've seen before.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Lighting is magic to me.
- 2:33Speaker 7: I grew up onto the Northern lights, so it's nice
- 2:36Speaker 7: to try and find ways to bring that lighting into
- 2:39Speaker 7: the world.
- 2:40Speaker 4: Totally totally ass and you do such an amazing job
- 2:43Speaker 4: with the lightning.
- 2:44Speaker 1: I like to think that lighting is kind of like
- 2:47Speaker 1: telling a story. I guess I'm a little weird that way.
- 2:51Speaker 6: I don't think you're weird. And it's very clear you're
- 2:53Speaker 6: trying to tell a story with you're lighting. No, you're
- 2:56Speaker 6: so good at it.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Youre's always the nicest to me.
- 2:58Speaker 6: Stop it. I'm so nice. Do you what?
- 3:00Speaker 1: You really nice?
- 3:01Speaker 6: You're gonna be nice to everybody. It's kind of my hat.
- 3:04Speaker 4: Hi, guys, I'm Ricky Bank and I do a judging.
- 3:09Speaker 6: Put it in the bank, put it.
- 3:11Speaker 3: In the banking money.
- 3:13Speaker 4: I am responsible for all of the audio and sound
- 3:17Speaker 4: of the Super Bowl, and yeah, it sucks hard.
- 3:22Speaker 6: I'm sorry.
- 3:23Speaker 4: I was in marketing and they just put me in
- 3:25Speaker 4: charge of it. I cannot figure it out. There's so
- 3:28Speaker 4: many cords and wires. I can't figure it out how
- 3:31Speaker 4: to make it sound good in the stadium and good
- 3:33Speaker 4: on the TV. It's it's a mind fuck. Every year
- 3:37Speaker 4: I'm fucking stressed out of the wazoo, and this year
- 3:41Speaker 4: is no different. I mean, we got Kendrick Lamar rapping.
- 3:44Speaker 4: You think that's gonna be easy to figure out the sound?
- 3:46Speaker 4: You think it's gonna be easy. No, it's it's impossible.
- 3:49Speaker 4: It's not uphill battle. And yeah, the sound sucks.
- 3:51Speaker 2: And I know it bank cash money. Dude, you are
- 3:54Speaker 2: America's bravest warrior because we Dude, we reached out to
- 3:58Speaker 2: so many sound people and every year we talk to
- 4:01Speaker 2: so many sound people and all.
- 4:03Speaker 6: This do it. You just can replace me, dude.
- 4:06Speaker 3: I mean, I'm so sorry, but yeah.
- 4:08Speaker 6: Yeah, I get it. Yes, I suck at it.
- 4:10Speaker 2: You know it doesn't it doesn't sound very good.
- 4:12Speaker 6: No, I know, but it's not feel battle.
- 4:13Speaker 2: And I understand your struggle. Dude.
- 4:14Speaker 3: I understand your struggle absolutely.
- 4:16Speaker 4: I just feel like if any other sound guy could
- 4:18Speaker 4: do it, he probably could do it.
- 4:20Speaker 2: All said, I don't want that on me. I have
- 4:23Speaker 2: a family to feed. I do not want that.
- 4:25Speaker 3: You think he's a death wish.
- 4:27Speaker 1: It is a task that makes Sissyphus himself say nothings.
- 4:32Speaker 3: I think it's an absolute week.
- 4:34Speaker 6: Thank you guys.
- 4:34Speaker 1: I like to watch when you tried to get a
- 4:36Speaker 1: room tone.
- 4:37Speaker 4: Well, that is literally almost impossible. So right before every performance,
- 4:42Speaker 4: I have to get a minute of room tone, and
- 4:44Speaker 4: right after every performance, I have to get another bit
- 4:46Speaker 4: of roomtone, and it is impossible to try to get
- 4:50Speaker 4: a room It's actually so exciting.
- 4:52Speaker 2: We're releasing the room tone clips on TikTok this year.
- 4:56Speaker 2: So it's gonna be really.
- 4:58Speaker 4: Trying to quiet fifty thousand p people, is nay impossible.
- 5:02Speaker 4: Some jackass is always gonna say penis or something that's
- 5:06Speaker 4: so stupid. It's so and so every he's so excited
- 5:09Speaker 4: as a super Bowl everbody's going popwar and it's just
- 5:11Speaker 4: literally impossible to do it.
- 5:13Speaker 7: I like when they scream things like penis because it
- 5:16Speaker 7: means they're even paying attention to you, which is.
- 5:18Speaker 1: The crazy it is.
- 5:20Speaker 4: Actually, I'm just like, you don't need silence for this.
- 5:22Speaker 4: There's not one point where you're gonna need to edit sounds.
- 5:24Speaker 4: And it's a live performance. We don't need room time.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Dude.
- 5:27Speaker 6: I gotta check you on that.
- 5:28Speaker 3: I gotta check you on that.
- 5:29Speaker 2: You never know you never checked balancing chain, never checking balance. Look,
- 5:35Speaker 2: Hollywood's crazy. Sometimes you get on a project thinking it's
- 5:39Speaker 2: one thing, and then it turns out to be a
- 5:40Speaker 2: completely different thing. I've never I can't tell you how
- 5:43Speaker 2: many short films I've thought of that have then become
- 5:46Speaker 2: documentaries because the footage looked weird and so we thought,
- 5:49Speaker 2: you know what, I might as well just make this.
- 5:51Speaker 6: Ah, So what do you do?
- 5:53Speaker 2: You never know, dude, you crack me up.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Okay, you crack them up.
- 6:03Speaker 2: My name is Tom Beats. I am from San Diego, Barrow.
- 6:11Speaker 2: I've done some radio, I have done some commercials. You know,
- 6:16Speaker 2: I've been kind of all over the map. I'm sort
- 6:17Speaker 2: of a mover or shaker. Mover or shaker never both
- 6:21Speaker 2: that you gotta pay me more, you know, thank you to.
- 6:24Speaker 6: Be a big cost for that guy.
- 6:27Speaker 3: You gotta, you gotta.
- 6:28Speaker 2: You could pay the moving feet or the shaking feet,
- 6:31Speaker 2: both are walking. Okay, listen, So I I'm running this thing, right,
- 6:37Speaker 2: I'm running this thing a lot of creative decisions, and
- 6:42Speaker 2: of course I answer to the actual money gods above me.
- 6:45Speaker 3: Of course we got the NFL. Yes, we got everybody.
- 6:49Speaker 2: The national Yes, yes, exactly exactly.
- 6:55Speaker 6: You're singing it, yeah, say you see so that's not
- 7:02Speaker 6: how that song goes. Yes, so you.
- 7:05Speaker 3: All say that's a remix.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Dude, that's a remix that I.
- 7:10Speaker 6: Don't even know if that's the remix.
- 7:11Speaker 4: That's just a completely different song with the words of
- 7:13Speaker 4: O say can you see our national aandy?
- 7:15Speaker 3: Dude?
- 7:15Speaker 2: Exactly exactly exactly. Man, I love this, I love this energy.
- 7:20Speaker 3: Listen.
- 7:21Speaker 2: So I've been running it for a couple of years now,
- 7:25Speaker 2: and you know, I just try and take a day in,
- 7:27Speaker 2: day out. A lot of people get stressed out at
- 7:29Speaker 2: this job, but I don't have time for that, dude, right,
- 7:32Speaker 2: So we just we get I just my philosophy is
- 7:36Speaker 2: like I try and get the most epic things I
- 7:38Speaker 2: can think of in a room and go, like, what
- 7:41Speaker 2: if we did something amazing? What if I just like
- 7:44Speaker 2: put money behind like creators and like people that I
- 7:48Speaker 2: believed in and just like made something awesome. Yes, yeah,
- 7:52Speaker 2: philosophy with the super Bowl.
- 7:53Speaker 4: You're so good that it like really comes through every I.
- 7:57Speaker 3: Love these group of people. Yeah, it's so amazing. You
- 7:59Speaker 3: have such an.
- 8:00Speaker 7: Incredible way of bringing things together that is so crazy.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Because you don't know they're going to work and then
- 8:06Speaker 1: like Mary J.
- 8:07Speaker 7: Blige is singing with somebody and all of a sudden,
- 8:10Speaker 7: they're someone doing backflips.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Slash Slash is basically on.
- 8:14Speaker 4: Retainer for us every Super Bowl, Slashes making an appearance.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Whether or not Slash comes on stage, Slash is there.
- 8:21Speaker 3: Slash he is there.
- 8:22Speaker 2: That's like kind of and he and we pay him
- 8:24Speaker 2: every time. And that's something I fight in the budget
- 8:27Speaker 2: for every time. Dude, It's like, no, this should'll be
- 8:29Speaker 2: so fucking funny. If slashes in the bathroom, you guys
- 8:31Speaker 2: can start to trust me. You gotta trust me. I
- 8:33Speaker 2: open the meetings with that crushes.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Oh Hello, I am Gregory Duncan and I am Birol Techniques.
- 8:47Speaker 3: I love you, I love you, I love you. I'm
- 8:49Speaker 3: from La Joya and I am not from Sweden. It
- 8:55Speaker 3: sounds like that, but I burnt my tongue off in
- 8:58Speaker 3: a fire. Pier tech Nicks Pyrotis is fire.
- 9:02Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, you of all people should know.
- 9:05Speaker 3: Just kicking off camera above board. Okay, So I am
- 9:09Speaker 3: the one at the end of each one, I press
- 9:12Speaker 3: the button and it goesh and the fire goes.
- 9:17Speaker 4: That is so you're so good at pushing the button.
- 9:20Speaker 4: Your team rigs the most insane pyrotechnics every single time,
- 9:24Speaker 4: and you are so good at pushing the button.
- 9:26Speaker 2: You're so a big of pushing the button, dude, Like,
- 9:28Speaker 2: and I mean this for real, Like I just want
- 9:31Speaker 2: to put fucking like props where props deserve because the
- 9:34Speaker 2: way you press that fucking button, Like like I just love,
- 9:38Speaker 2: like I'm obsessed with like creatives who can do that.
- 9:40Speaker 3: And I mean, it takes a lot to drive a
- 9:41Speaker 3: car with so much light the fluid into the super Bowl, right, yeah,
- 9:45Speaker 3: and then love up each one of the things. It's
- 9:48Speaker 3: more than just the Blatton.
- 9:49Speaker 4: And it's crazy because they're using lighter fluid most of
- 9:51Speaker 4: the time. I feel like most of it's electrical now,
- 9:54Speaker 4: but you want to go so usually how pyrotechnics works
- 9:57Speaker 4: is electrical. It's uses electro, it's not. It's usually you're
- 10:02Speaker 4: not using a flame to set off the things you
- 10:04Speaker 4: Usually pyrotechnics lighter fluid doesn't really shoot up, it just lights.
- 10:08Speaker 3: He knows.
- 10:09Speaker 4: Yeah, I know, you know, I know, you know. But
- 10:11Speaker 4: you're using the old method of very string, very long string.
- 10:17Speaker 6: And I always that you light the end of We
- 10:20Speaker 6: think it's because.
- 10:21Speaker 2: It's cartoon style like Tom and Jerry, so you're like
- 10:24Speaker 2: one long string.
- 10:25Speaker 3: It's probably does it.
- 10:27Speaker 6: I like him, like Big Jeff Probe Jeff.
- 10:31Speaker 7: He's one of the number one pyrotechnic guys technically in
- 10:36Speaker 7: the whole.
- 10:36Speaker 3: Work most next to the supermar Survivor does the most firework.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Part when he lights the only.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Where there's have you ever seen Survivors? You've got to
- 10:54Speaker 2: watch Survivors. I would know what we were talking about.
- 10:58Speaker 3: You're talking about fireworks. I don't know what that is. Okay,
- 11:02Speaker 3: I don't do that. I do flames, open flames, you know,
- 11:06Speaker 3: every time this lash comes out and there's flames.
- 11:10Speaker 7: And we have a really beautiful working relationship for kind
- 11:13Speaker 7: of work wife and husbands because I'm lights and you
- 11:16Speaker 7: are firetechnique.
- 11:18Speaker 3: Literally, but people think that it's I'm European or something
- 11:21Speaker 3: like that. I know, I just burned my tongue, so
- 11:23Speaker 3: I talk like this.
- 11:24Speaker 6: We got it.
- 11:26Speaker 3: I just didn't laugh the first time, so I wanted
- 11:28Speaker 3: to do work.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Oh.
- 11:31Speaker 3: I was like, dude, I think everything you say islious.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Literally, I wasn't like, I'm sorry.
- 11:37Speaker 7: I didn't know that I was supposed to laugh at
- 11:39Speaker 7: burn it's not funny to know.
- 11:42Speaker 3: I own it, and I think I just wanted to
- 11:45Speaker 3: make sure that it wasn't inappropriate to open up about.
- 11:48Speaker 2: No and you'r and I went to your class show
- 11:51Speaker 2: at Flappers and like, you're so funny, you're a bit
- 11:54Speaker 2: on your like little your your tongue, like I don't.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Want to do I want to do it do it
- 11:58Speaker 1: for us?
- 11:59Speaker 6: Well you do it like him?
- 12:01Speaker 3: Okay, I do it like you. The jokes about my
- 12:04Speaker 3: tough tongue.
- 12:05Speaker 2: So it was oh my god, it sort of doesn't
- 12:07Speaker 2: work if you don't do the voice. So that okay,
- 12:10Speaker 2: uh that thing?
- 12:14Speaker 3: Oh no, I didn't like doing it.
- 12:15Speaker 6: Wait?
- 12:16Speaker 3: Can I didn't like doing it? Man, I'm so sorry
- 12:18Speaker 3: you could do my tongue all the time.
- 12:20Speaker 2: I'm so sorry that I should I should I shouldn't
- 12:22Speaker 2: have done it.
- 12:22Speaker 3: You you hired me every year, even though my job
- 12:26Speaker 3: is so there, you could do it with electrical you
- 12:29Speaker 3: still hired me. But I don't know. I appreciative, of course.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Can I ask your class stand up show at Flappers?
- 12:35Speaker 1: Who was the guy in the top hat? May him
- 12:39Speaker 1: in your class?
- 12:39Speaker 2: Oh?
- 12:40Speaker 3: I don't know. He's the one that always organizes the hang.
- 12:42Speaker 1: What was his name? He was the funniest one there.
- 12:47Speaker 3: Okay, he was so funny.
- 12:49Speaker 7: What I liked when he was talking about how he
- 12:52Speaker 7: grew up homeschooled and his mom was also his teacher.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Oh yeah, something about like calling the teacher mom.
- 13:02Speaker 3: But it was actually said he was funny. I couldn't understand.
- 13:08Speaker 6: It was right after you got burnt, so it was rough.
- 13:11Speaker 2: I gotta say. I couldn't imitate the joke because I
- 13:13Speaker 2: honestly couldn't remember it.
- 13:15Speaker 3: I was just laughing at your energy.
- 13:16Speaker 6: How did your tongue get burnt again?
- 13:18Speaker 3: I was sticking my head into the lighter fluid hole
- 13:22Speaker 3: right before we were going to go. Katy Berry is
- 13:24Speaker 3: in the back, and Katy Berry was getting there, and
- 13:26Speaker 3: I was making sure that the whole it's kind of.
- 13:29Speaker 4: A lighter fluid hole actually, so that that bumped me too.
- 13:34Speaker 4: And it's so big that you can stick your head in.
- 13:37Speaker 3: My head, I have a smaller head each corner of
- 13:42Speaker 3: the stage for okay, So Katy Berry's when you designed it,
- 13:45Speaker 3: so it was like kind of a big cookie, big
- 13:47Speaker 3: sugar cookie or something cookie it got me better or
- 13:50Speaker 3: something like that, right, And I was and I was
- 13:52Speaker 3: making sure each of them were filled to the top
- 13:54Speaker 3: with the light of fluid. So there's these holes on
- 13:56Speaker 3: the stage right, Yes, big holes, and you see similar
- 13:59Speaker 3: to the bulb. It's like a big hole, right, And
- 14:03Speaker 3: I before it with a fire hose, pour in lights
- 14:08Speaker 3: a fluid to each of them, close the hole, lock
- 14:11Speaker 3: it and then hook it up to my cords and
- 14:16Speaker 3: then once high bress goal, they all go. Right. I
- 14:20Speaker 3: had to make sure there was fluid in there because
- 14:23Speaker 3: the flood's dark and Katie Perry's show starts in the
- 14:25Speaker 3: peach black, right, So I was sticking and I was
- 14:28Speaker 3: just checking before. We do a lot of runs of
- 14:30Speaker 3: the show and people don't know that right because we
- 14:32Speaker 3: have to there's so many elements.
- 14:34Speaker 4: We won't even let the teams practice. Sometimes they have
- 14:37Speaker 4: to move their practices off because we're doing.
- 14:40Speaker 3: And laterally, if there's a marching band, a high school
- 14:42Speaker 3: marching band, I have to run pyrotechnics with it so
- 14:45Speaker 3: we can practice. So I'm sticking my head in it.
- 14:48Speaker 3: And then similar to when someone puts their head into
- 14:50Speaker 3: the fireplace and it gets on their eyebrows, it happened
- 14:53Speaker 3: to my tongue because I was going.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Eh, because when you like something, and this is something
- 14:58Speaker 2: that I've always noticed about you and the way you work.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Whenever you like something, you yeah, it's like and so
- 15:05Speaker 2: we could see from far away if you've approved something,
- 15:07Speaker 2: because you'll go yeah.
- 15:09Speaker 3: I was like, yeah, they just full to the brim.
- 15:13Speaker 3: And then my associates debor Debra stupid woman hit the bike.
- 15:19Speaker 3: She's stupid.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Now, I'd say she actually brings a lot to the team.
- 15:23Speaker 3: Stupid and ugly so I never pressed the button. My
- 15:28Speaker 3: tongue was out, and then I got to whe the.
- 15:31Speaker 6: W and it was just so interesting.
- 15:34Speaker 4: You use lighter fluid because notoriously you would never use
- 15:37Speaker 4: lighter fluid.
- 15:38Speaker 3: Again to make a lighter, to make the fly lighter.
- 15:40Speaker 4: Fluid stays on fire. That's the point of lights, the.
- 15:43Speaker 3: Thing I'm putting the light of fluid on the whole
- 15:46Speaker 3: talking about mine makes.
- 15:48Speaker 6: Sense, it doesn't. Then I don't know how to explain why.
- 15:52Speaker 2: I'm understanding now because I hired you to do uh
- 15:56Speaker 2: tiky torches for my birthday party.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Yes, your poker knights, fucking epic.
- 15:59Speaker 6: Dude, dude, what did you do?
- 16:01Speaker 2: Five hundred people in my backyard? One hundred people? And
- 16:05Speaker 2: now I saw you fusing around with the pool, and
- 16:07Speaker 2: now I realized the pool was full of lighter fluid.
- 16:09Speaker 4: Because thank you so much for letting me run audio.
- 16:13Speaker 4: And I'm just so sorry I could not figure out
- 16:15Speaker 4: how to make that bluetooth.
- 16:16Speaker 3: Hey anytime, dude, anytime. Phone in the cup. Phone in
- 16:19Speaker 3: the cup was.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Epic, though away it was a last thing, a big
- 16:24Speaker 1: phone in a big cup.
- 16:25Speaker 4: So I got the biggest one I could. I found
- 16:28Speaker 4: the biggest cup I couldn't. I just try to make
- 16:29Speaker 4: it work.
- 16:30Speaker 1: I would love to talk about the super Bowl.
- 16:32Speaker 6: Yeah, let's start absolutely.
- 16:35Speaker 2: So let's let's start where your head's at.
- 16:39Speaker 7: There have been so many amazing Super Bowl halftime performances
- 16:44Speaker 7: we've put together, and I just wanted to go through
- 16:48Speaker 7: some of them and see if you guys have any
- 16:50Speaker 7: special memories, you said, Katie Perry, I was thinking about
- 16:53Speaker 7: Left Shark.
- 16:54Speaker 1: I love that Shark was not supposed to be.
- 16:58Speaker 4: It was soy that and you when you see things
- 17:03Speaker 4: go up like that, you're like, gosh, darn it, I
- 17:06Speaker 4: this is bombing.
- 17:07Speaker 6: But the people really turned around and loved it.
- 17:09Speaker 2: I think we all remember where we were when Left
- 17:12Speaker 2: Shark happened. That's so it's just like magic. It's just
- 17:16Speaker 2: kind of why we do this.
- 17:17Speaker 3: You know. I was at a frat party.
- 17:19Speaker 2: I was hazing a couple of new guys and we
- 17:23Speaker 2: had we had him.
- 17:25Speaker 6: Are you just going to year old frat or.
- 17:27Speaker 3: No before you got the job, dude, I'm like.
- 17:29Speaker 6: Twenty four, Oh right, right, Sorry forgetting younger than me.
- 17:35Speaker 3: I'm so sorry.
- 17:35Speaker 2: I'm so sorry, dude. I don't I don't look at
- 17:37Speaker 2: I I know, I'm like I'm kind of tired because
- 17:39Speaker 2: I have so many sleepless nights, but I have twenty four.
- 17:43Speaker 2: Uh and Left Shark came on and it kind of
- 17:45Speaker 2: made me feel like a boy again, made me like.
- 17:47Speaker 3: I put the beer down.
- 17:48Speaker 2: And I was like, whoa dude, We got to make
- 17:51Speaker 2: magic for everybody as much as we can and as
- 17:53Speaker 2: often as we can.
- 17:54Speaker 4: Left Shark dude, you're laughing.
- 17:58Speaker 2: It made me emotional.
- 17:59Speaker 6: That's crazy.
- 18:00Speaker 3: A boy can be emotional.
- 18:01Speaker 6: A boy can be emotional.
- 18:02Speaker 3: A boy can be no sounds crazy, a boy can
- 18:05Speaker 3: be emotional.
- 18:05Speaker 1: I am attracted to boys who are emotional.
- 18:07Speaker 3: That's amazing speaking a boy who are emotional. Just in
- 18:10Speaker 3: Timberlake got so emotional when people said that the teeth
- 18:13Speaker 3: was on purpose.
- 18:14Speaker 7: Yeah, we have to discuss that because faux pause and
- 18:20Speaker 7: controversies ever.
- 18:21Speaker 1: The wardrobe malfunction. But I don't want to point in
- 18:24Speaker 1: the fingers.
- 18:25Speaker 7: But I saw it happen, and there was a dark
- 18:29Speaker 7: voice over my shoulder that said.
- 18:31Speaker 6: Light the tit light the tit light it it said.
- 18:36Speaker 7: The teeth came out, and I immediately I turned off
- 18:38Speaker 7: the gobo that was on the tea because I said,
- 18:41Speaker 7: no one should see that.
- 18:42Speaker 1: And they said, keep it lit.
- 18:43Speaker 3: When I am making love with a woman, I fear
- 18:47Speaker 3: that voice. It's as light as you're next hear that.
- 18:52Speaker 2: This only happens to lighting designers or people who work
- 18:55Speaker 2: with because I've never heard this voice.
- 18:59Speaker 7: I've never heard truck and that meant And we have
- 19:01Speaker 7: been asking and we have been doing like, uh submissions
- 19:05Speaker 7: to figure out who what that says?
- 19:08Speaker 3: Big submissions, so many submissions. We've been submitting. We've been submitting.
- 19:13Speaker 1: We did its contest. You've seen this show Argo, the
- 19:16Speaker 1: movie Argo.
- 19:17Speaker 7: Yeah, we did it like that where we pretended we
- 19:20Speaker 7: were doing a production. But we reached out to lighting
- 19:22Speaker 7: people who said, do you want to be a voice
- 19:23Speaker 7: over actor? Send in the phrase like the tit to
- 19:27Speaker 7: see if we could catch that person.
- 19:29Speaker 6: Wow.
- 19:29Speaker 7: We've listened to thousands of tapes, have not figured out
- 19:33Speaker 7: who said fund.
- 19:35Speaker 2: You should try TikTok, you should try Instagram, you should
- 19:38Speaker 2: try reaching out, you know, putting out another call because
- 19:41Speaker 2: that person's probably.
- 19:42Speaker 3: Still a large But here's the thing. Everyone concerning ey
- 19:45Speaker 3: what was crazy? I know, like sometimes on the Oscar stage,
- 19:48Speaker 3: it's like the whole world is watching, but at the
- 19:50Speaker 3: super Bowl, literally the whole world of actually, like, that's
- 19:54Speaker 3: all kinds of people. So when that when those moments happened,
- 19:57Speaker 3: like left shark or tit or anything like that, was
- 19:59Speaker 3: there left or right?
- 20:01Speaker 6: I think it was right.
- 20:02Speaker 4: I know because I accidentally was working wardrobe that year,
- 20:06Speaker 4: and I just you lived it. I accidentally I was
- 20:09Speaker 4: supposed to do sound they said just not even don't even.
- 20:12Speaker 4: So I tripped into wardrobe and they said, just put
- 20:15Speaker 4: it on her. And so I do take a little
- 20:18Speaker 4: bit of responsibility.
- 20:19Speaker 2: Did you did your best? You did your absolute best.
- 20:21Speaker 2: I can't fault you for it. I do have to say, like,
- 20:24Speaker 2: what happened to the way that society treated Jana Jackson
- 20:27Speaker 2: after that was so effed up, soft up dude, And
- 20:31Speaker 2: I don't agree with any of that shit. So I like,
- 20:34Speaker 2: in the past two Super Bowls that I've been in
- 20:36Speaker 2: charge of, I've instituted a pro nipple policy, and like
- 20:40Speaker 2: you guys know, because I've done the PEP talks and
- 20:43Speaker 2: you guys know the all hands meetings where I say, listen,
- 20:46Speaker 2: if you show your nipple at any point in this process,
- 20:49Speaker 2: I'm not gonna shame you, I'm not going.
- 20:51Speaker 3: To fire you.
- 20:53Speaker 2: You are going to be celebrated and you are going
- 20:55Speaker 2: to be uplifted. And so I've been dude. In the
- 21:00Speaker 2: meetings with the NFL, in the meetings with CBS, I
- 21:03Speaker 2: have laid down the law. I've been like, you geezers
- 21:05Speaker 2: don't actually know what's up. You geezers are actually not feminists.
- 21:08Speaker 2: So if you I got them to agree to nipple
- 21:12Speaker 2: in the.
- 21:12Speaker 4: Show, well you push for Maroon five lead singer to
- 21:15Speaker 4: take off his shirt, right, Yeah, to get that moment
- 21:18Speaker 4: where it's two nipples.
- 21:19Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not fair. It's not fair. If Slash took
- 21:22Speaker 3: his balls out, they wouldn't be talking about it like
- 21:25Speaker 3: jan that you.
- 21:26Speaker 6: Actually think they would.
- 21:29Speaker 3: I think and balls are the same.
- 21:31Speaker 2: I actually think they talk about it a little.
- 21:33Speaker 6: Bit, so I think they would talk about it. Evil boys.
- 21:35Speaker 1: I'm a little scared to bring this up as the
- 21:37Speaker 1: only woman on this panel.
- 21:39Speaker 3: Have you seen Slashes balls? Speak your voice, speak your truths.
- 21:42Speaker 1: I have not me. I haven't seen Slashes balls. But
- 21:46Speaker 1: the policy that you're telling us over and over we
- 21:50Speaker 1: have to show nipple.
- 21:51Speaker 3: No, I say you have to feel good. If you
- 21:55Speaker 3: feel good, show your nipples. You have to feel good.
- 21:58Speaker 6: It is you have to feel good.
- 22:00Speaker 4: You say you have to feel good if you feel good, sugar,
- 22:03Speaker 4: So it is technically in philosophy we would say that
- 22:07Speaker 4: you have to show nipples.
- 22:08Speaker 7: So if we walk around in the office, when we
- 22:11Speaker 7: walk around in the office, people come up and go,
- 22:13Speaker 7: are you okay?
- 22:14Speaker 1: I haven't seen your nipples all day yet?
- 22:16Speaker 3: It's not it's not his fault that that when you
- 22:19Speaker 3: feel good you take nipple out.
- 22:21Speaker 6: You have to feel good.
- 22:23Speaker 4: If you feel good, you showed nipples, and that's therefore
- 22:26Speaker 4: you have to show nipples.
- 22:29Speaker 2: A supersight on my part. That is an absolute oversight
- 22:32Speaker 2: on my part. You know, I was never good at
- 22:34Speaker 2: math the whole I'm now it's coming back to me.
- 22:36Speaker 2: If A equals B and B EQUALC, then equalcy. That
- 22:39Speaker 2: was never my strong suit. So girl, queen, let's work
- 22:43Speaker 2: together and let's have a dialogue, because I don't want
- 22:45Speaker 2: any woman feeling that way.
- 22:47Speaker 1: I can in the dialog, I won't be showing my
- 22:48Speaker 1: nipple on in the office. Would you feel I would
- 22:53Speaker 1: feel good?
- 22:54Speaker 6: I would say.
- 22:55Speaker 1: The problem with all of it is it just feels
- 22:58Speaker 1: like a twenty four year old came up with it.
- 23:00Speaker 1: That's all. It just feel I've been around, I am
- 23:03Speaker 1: I am one with this, the nature, the earth, the spirit.
- 23:06Speaker 1: I'm a very spiritual person, but I don't like to
- 23:10Speaker 1: show my nipples to prove I am happy. I am happy,
- 23:13Speaker 1: and therefore I keep my nipples inside.
- 23:15Speaker 3: We talked about the super Bowl.
- 23:17Speaker 2: Let's jump the super Bowl and we'll sidebar on this
- 23:20Speaker 2: because I don't want you to ever feel that way.
- 23:22Speaker 2: Go ahead, let's talk about that. No, we should talk,
- 23:25Speaker 2: you should hang out. I want to pick your brain
- 23:27Speaker 2: and I want you to be promoted. I want you
- 23:30Speaker 2: because I love your fucking energy. Anyway, go ahead, congrats.
- 23:34Speaker 2: I'm sorry, let's talk about's talk about the super Bowl?
- 23:37Speaker 6: Are you on your phone?
- 23:39Speaker 2: No? No, no, no way, no, I am I'm so sorry.
- 23:42Speaker 2: Someone sent me something, but it has nothing to do
- 23:43Speaker 2: with this.
- 23:44Speaker 6: Okay, what was it?
- 23:46Speaker 3: Well, oh my god, your wallpaper is nipple.
- 23:49Speaker 2: It's a boom, it's a big well, it's not your wait,
- 23:55Speaker 2: I thought, there is no way that's what.
- 23:58Speaker 3: You were applying. That's what you were buingneles. Okay, I
- 24:04Speaker 3: feel like I feel like this actually got a little
- 24:09Speaker 3: bit out of control.
- 24:11Speaker 6: What we'll park out of control.
- 24:13Speaker 3: Let's bowl, let's take out of the zerol.

- 25:50Speaker 2: Okay, you want to make it clear nobody has to
- 25:53Speaker 2: show their nipples at any point.
- 25:54Speaker 3: Okay, I'll hear the super Bowl. I'm boring so much
- 25:57Speaker 3: live the fluid. If it gets near my nipple, I'm.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Floted this year.
- 26:00Speaker 2: I am so excited about what's happening. Yes, because we
- 26:04Speaker 2: obviously have Kendrick Labar signed on.
- 26:06Speaker 4: And we've got it's so cool. Actually, he has decided
- 26:08Speaker 4: to bring on some very special guests. I don't tell you,
- 26:11Speaker 4: but we will say cold Play is actually getting invited
- 26:14Speaker 4: to come rather than inviting everybody else.
- 26:17Speaker 3: But they want so much fire.
- 26:20Speaker 1: They always want sore and they I love their their
- 26:26Speaker 1: lighting grid because it's so much yellow and it's easy
- 26:29Speaker 1: to give me one color. Anyone who has one color.
- 26:32Speaker 1: Lots of fun colors. This year for Kendrick Lamaro.
- 26:35Speaker 9: He's going all out colors. We have white, green, blue, green, blue, magenta.
- 26:42Speaker 9: This is so cool, this is amazing, and this is
- 26:45Speaker 9: the first time this has been announced.
- 26:47Speaker 1: Hunter Green.
- 26:48Speaker 2: No, can I ask you what's like a stereotypical color
- 26:51Speaker 2: in the industry that's like overused?
- 26:53Speaker 3: Right now?
- 26:53Speaker 7: Clear bright white. It's so annoying. We get it's you're
- 26:57Speaker 7: on stage. It's like, get over you. Yeah, you don't
- 27:01Speaker 7: want people to see No, And I think people aren't
- 27:04Speaker 7: using patterns enough. I like to make a cheetah print
- 27:06Speaker 7: out of blue and purple stuff like that.
- 27:08Speaker 3: Amazing, Well you said green, right, Hunter Green.
- 27:12Speaker 1: It's for a very special guest, Dave Groll. And what's
- 27:16Speaker 1: fun about Dave Growl is he comes on to a
- 27:18Speaker 1: lot of shows and when he's drumming, it sounds like
- 27:21Speaker 1: Dave grows dumming.
- 27:23Speaker 6: It really does for something.
- 27:25Speaker 3: They tried to get Charlie XCX, so they were going
- 27:27Speaker 3: to do Bratt green like Lime green, and then the
- 27:30Speaker 3: second was Hunter Green for the girl Charlie wanted to.
- 27:35Speaker 3: Charlie wanted to. We just couldn't make it work and
- 27:38Speaker 3: I was so bummed about that.
- 27:39Speaker 4: But just Kendrick Lamar songs and Charlie XX songs actually
- 27:43Speaker 4: have no crossover.
- 27:44Speaker 3: You know, there's kind of like the R p M. Yeah,
- 27:46Speaker 3: just like but that has never stopped the super Bowl before. Okay,
- 27:50Speaker 3: when we did Mars and yes, there's no crossover there
- 27:57Speaker 3: and Slash.
- 27:57Speaker 6: Still came out. Slash still came out.
- 28:00Speaker 3: It was like it work.
- 28:01Speaker 2: The Super bowls about putting a bunch of epic different
- 28:04Speaker 2: things together and roller skates.
- 28:08Speaker 3: Yeah, we we should talk about though every year when
- 28:10Speaker 3: a bunch of kids come running out.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Right and the kids running into something.
- 28:15Speaker 3: Yeah, and it's an important part of the Super Bowl
- 28:18Speaker 3: because kids can kids can see and go wow.
- 28:21Speaker 4: I thought it was really mean that Madonna had all
- 28:23Speaker 4: those kids just run right into a brick wall.
- 28:25Speaker 3: I don't know, it was absolutely hilarious. She shouldn't change
- 28:27Speaker 3: it otherwise.
- 28:29Speaker 7: I didn't like it because I had to light the
- 28:32Speaker 7: brick wall like it was like a beautiful field. And
- 28:36Speaker 7: I did it because I made it happen. But it
- 28:38Speaker 7: was difficult for me.
- 28:41Speaker 3: Well, it was hard of the year with the Black
- 28:42Speaker 3: Eyed Peace when the kids came runn out because they
- 28:44Speaker 3: got so scared because the Black Eyed Peas had the
- 28:46Speaker 3: boxes on their heads. Yes it was big, big role,
- 28:50Speaker 3: but yeah, big real I am was scary looking boom.
- 28:56Speaker 4: Yes, yes, but I will say that Super Bowl kind
- 28:58Speaker 4: of like changed things for me because for me, I
- 29:01Speaker 4: like really realized something.
- 29:05Speaker 1: No, you're not talking into a microphone. You're not talking
- 29:09Speaker 1: into your microphone.
- 29:10Speaker 3: Your sound is bad.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Yeah, so dude, uh, this is what we talked about.
- 29:14Speaker 3: Man.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Actually, so if some voices are supposed.
- 29:18Speaker 3: To go in no, no, come on, come on, come on.
- 29:24Speaker 6: Sorry, I'm just so bad at this. I'm just so
- 29:27Speaker 6: so bad at that.
- 29:28Speaker 3: Do you ever want to get good at it?
- 29:29Speaker 4: I really, really really every year try to get good
- 29:32Speaker 4: of it, and every year I think I got it,
- 29:34Speaker 4: and then the show starts and it's always that first
- 29:36Speaker 4: note doesn't start. It doesn't it's very low, and then
- 29:40Speaker 4: I just am fumbling for the rest of the show
- 29:42Speaker 4: trying to fig the truth. Why can't you never nail
- 29:45Speaker 4: the first three or four notes of every the four
- 29:47Speaker 4: notes is always a disaster, and the rest of the
- 29:50Speaker 4: show I'm fumbling.
- 29:51Speaker 6: Sometimes I can.
- 29:51Speaker 1: Hear the booth, sometimes I can hear someone say, go
- 29:54Speaker 1: to one.
- 29:54Speaker 4: You can't want to You can't because because for some reason,
- 29:57Speaker 4: every year we have to put a mic in there.
- 30:00Speaker 4: Just get confused with the feeds and I don't know
- 30:02Speaker 4: which number is which number.
- 30:04Speaker 6: It's just a mess. It's just as I think.
- 30:06Speaker 3: Actually, there's a clip we should play when Lady Gaga
- 30:08Speaker 3: singing Edge of Glory. You could hear you in the back.
- 30:12Speaker 6: Go ahead, I'm on the edge.
- 30:15Speaker 3: Oh god, I'm on the edge. So that's the clip.
- 30:22Speaker 6: Yeah, And I did exactly what we said.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Huh wow said, promised, delivered.
- 30:29Speaker 4: Well, here's a good question actually about sound because last
- 30:32Speaker 4: year Usher performed and Alicia Keys actually had what we
- 30:36Speaker 4: remember as a very pitchy moment, but this.
- 30:39Speaker 6: Is actually true.
- 30:40Speaker 4: When we released the audio, we had pitch corrected it.
- 30:45Speaker 4: How do we feel about that changing the live performance?
- 30:49Speaker 4: It's mostly because I'm messing up. I accidentally made Alicia
- 30:52Speaker 4: Keys seeing those notes wrong.
- 30:54Speaker 3: Listen, what do we say? Yeah, yeah, you went on
- 30:58Speaker 3: a day with her, got in her head.
- 31:01Speaker 1: To day and you pulled the frog out of your pocket.
- 31:03Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 31:04Speaker 4: So I had a little harmonic at a frog and
- 31:06Speaker 4: I went, this is sea and she said that's not
- 31:11Speaker 4: I said, I'm pretty sure this is a.
- 31:13Speaker 2: Se absolutely messed with her sense of reality, and.
- 31:17Speaker 6: That's why she's saying it was just trying to get
- 31:20Speaker 6: to know her. It just was we did not get along.
- 31:22Speaker 2: It was it's like you have, dude, and I'm trying.
- 31:25Speaker 2: You gotta I got it, my therapist, my hypnotherapist, you
- 31:29Speaker 2: gotta try. And because I feel like there is something
- 31:31Speaker 2: in you that like you want you don't want the
- 31:35Speaker 2: sound to be good. I feel like in your core, no,
- 31:37Speaker 2: you don't want the sound to be good, but you
- 31:39Speaker 2: have to know that you're good enough for the sound
- 31:42Speaker 2: to be good.
- 31:42Speaker 3: You just have to believe. I'm fucking serious. No, no, no,
- 31:46Speaker 3: absolutely serious.
- 31:47Speaker 1: No sabotage real, No, I'm scared of sound.
- 31:51Speaker 3: You have to do what I do. You can't. I
- 31:53Speaker 3: work with scary stuff, right, there's and there's no reason
- 31:57Speaker 3: you should be scared of microphones and amps. I should scared.
- 32:00Speaker 3: My tongue is is a little pencil that's literally skinny,
- 32:13Speaker 3: so the size of a funny I've been miming it wrong.
- 32:16Speaker 6: Yeah, it was the top of your tongue.
- 32:20Speaker 3: I wouldn't sound like the.
- 32:23Speaker 4: Right.
- 32:24Speaker 6: You're so right, and you're so right, you would sound
- 32:26Speaker 6: like that if.
- 32:28Speaker 3: The if the front of my tongue was gone, I
- 32:30Speaker 3: would probably sound like that, right, Oh, you can do
- 32:33Speaker 3: it like this. But because the sides of my tongue
- 32:37Speaker 3: are off, do you hear that the vowels are going boom?
- 32:41Speaker 8: Oh?
- 32:42Speaker 1: We get here.
- 32:43Speaker 7: One thing I would like to say about changing something
- 32:46Speaker 7: after the fact is that what we do on the video,
- 32:50Speaker 7: if we're changing the sound, is kind of what the
- 32:52Speaker 7: human brain does to memory itself. You know, when you
- 32:55Speaker 7: remember something, you're actually only remembering the last memory you
- 32:59Speaker 7: had of that being. So if our brains can change
- 33:02Speaker 7: our memories, then we can change the memories in the And.
- 33:06Speaker 2: This is why we get room tone.
- 33:07Speaker 3: This is why we get room tone because you never
- 33:09Speaker 3: know what's.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Gonna happen later.
- 33:11Speaker 6: Why those why do we get.
- 33:14Speaker 2: Exactly why we get room is exactly why we get
- 33:17Speaker 2: room tone.
- 33:18Speaker 4: This is exactly why we get because you never know
- 33:21Speaker 4: because you earlier, You let me in three minutes before
- 33:28Speaker 4: the dude, and you have.
- 33:30Speaker 2: So many good ideas, And I'd love to talk about
- 33:32Speaker 2: this at some point because that's awesome.
- 33:33Speaker 3: No, you let him in. Sometimes he comes in late,
- 33:36Speaker 3: and then there's nothing worse than watching a football game
- 33:38Speaker 3: in here. Pairing and the bluetooth pairing Bluetooth device, Why
- 33:46Speaker 3: are we doing that, dude.
- 33:49Speaker 2: I wish we as a society had chosen something different
- 33:51Speaker 2: than Bluetooth, but unfortunately it's kind of we're locked.
- 33:54Speaker 3: In and it's too late.
- 33:56Speaker 6: If it says something, what if it says something.
- 33:58Speaker 3: If he says little battery, why do we need to
- 34:01Speaker 3: hear that? I think that blue too.
- 34:04Speaker 2: This. You never know if Alexa is gonna say something funny.
- 34:07Speaker 2: So you always got a micer, You always got a micro.
- 34:11Speaker 6: Hilarious what you said.
- 34:12Speaker 2: But sometimes you, oh my god, when you accidentally trigger
- 34:15Speaker 2: Alexa and then she's like, add into your shopping list
- 34:17Speaker 2: and I'm like, dude, I didn't even fucking say that.
- 34:21Speaker 3: Could you imagine if like maybe the game went into
- 34:23Speaker 3: overtime or something and we didn't know that the battery
- 34:26Speaker 3: was dying. Because because you can't hear her, you can't
- 34:31Speaker 3: hear her.
- 34:32Speaker 1: We should buy sound equipment. You can plug into the wall.
- 34:37Speaker 3: There's no walls. It's grass. I just don't know. I
- 34:40Speaker 3: just don't know outlet talk about this.
- 34:43Speaker 2: I don't know where we're gonna find the Transformer.
- 34:46Speaker 6: I was the movie idiot.
- 34:49Speaker 3: You mean when all of the volunteers from the Fantasy
- 34:52Speaker 3: football come in and during the halftime show before bring
- 34:55Speaker 3: the bring the stage.
- 34:58Speaker 1: You know what oh I want to do is be
- 35:00Speaker 1: a theory really interesting and kookie.
- 35:02Speaker 2: And every time I have to sit and be the
- 35:05Speaker 2: reasonable god being a woman in Hollywood, the only woman
- 35:10Speaker 2: in the room is I'm to watch a lot of women.
- 35:16Speaker 2: I watch and listen to a lot of women. And
- 35:18Speaker 2: I want you to know you're hurt. And if you
- 35:19Speaker 2: ever want to talk about this, if you ever want
- 35:21Speaker 2: to talk, we we're gonna talk about staring at.
- 35:25Speaker 3: The nipple again.
- 35:27Speaker 7: I tell you, the leadership is not scheduling one on
- 35:31Speaker 7: ones with people that never happen.
- 35:33Speaker 1: It doesn't make you feel good to tell me we
- 35:35Speaker 1: should talk one on.
- 35:36Speaker 3: One, especially at the performing event when we should not
- 35:40Speaker 3: all be separated. We have to.
- 35:43Speaker 2: I'm sorry, Look, this is where we gotta I gotta
- 35:50Speaker 2: just push my philosophy.
- 35:52Speaker 3: Dude, this is my philosophy.
- 35:54Speaker 2: You cannot have a bunch of rehearsals that everybody's just
- 35:58Speaker 2: doing the same thing and they get stuck and they
- 36:00Speaker 2: get resentful. You need to have I need to make
- 36:02Speaker 2: eye contact with every single person I'm working with. Well
- 36:05Speaker 2: what and then we need to just say, let's just
- 36:08Speaker 2: fucking see what happens. That's why we don't rehearse the
- 36:10Speaker 2: Super Bowl.
- 36:11Speaker 6: Yeah, you've just put in that mandate, which is really.
- 36:14Speaker 2: Really I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I know I've getten a
- 36:16Speaker 2: lot of pushback from all departments. You know, the marching
- 36:19Speaker 2: bands are upset, the you know, the the the singers
- 36:22Speaker 2: are upset, the dancers are upset.
- 36:23Speaker 3: But I talked to the Hayes girls. How are the
- 36:27Speaker 3: girls who are doing the hate?
- 36:28Speaker 6: It's the siblings or the girls.
- 36:31Speaker 7: Girl girls who handle the Hayes, which is like fu
- 36:33Speaker 7: and their last name is also Hayes.
- 36:35Speaker 3: So crazy, they calling on their life.
- 36:39Speaker 2: It's like they were born and then adorned with a
- 36:43Speaker 2: name that destined what they had to do.
- 36:44Speaker 3: But I was with them when you say, when you
- 36:46Speaker 3: said this lack that we won't rehearse to this year,
- 36:49Speaker 3: so sorry, and the girls almost fit. They both fainted
- 36:52Speaker 3: on top of each other.
- 36:55Speaker 6: And that's funny.
- 36:58Speaker 4: What are you thinking about this year for for your design?
- 37:01Speaker 4: I mean, is there a theme or is there something
- 37:03Speaker 4: that you're reaching towards. Did you talk to Kendrick at all?
- 37:06Speaker 3: I talked to Kendrack.
- 37:07Speaker 5: You want things to be He's really really funny, he's
- 37:13Speaker 5: so funny, lots of like like pull my finger kind
- 37:18Speaker 5: of jokes, like funny Uncle.
- 37:23Speaker 1: He's very uncle funny. You would not guess that from
- 37:25Speaker 1: the stuff he does. But some of the wordplay is
- 37:28Speaker 1: funny like that, you know what.
- 37:29Speaker 3: I mean A good way.
- 37:32Speaker 1: He wants a lot of reds and intense things, and
- 37:35Speaker 1: we are We are making Drake out of drones, which
- 37:38Speaker 1: is going to be very fun.
- 37:39Speaker 3: I have to cover it in light to fluid. Drake
- 37:44Speaker 3: is going to appear in the sky out of drones.
- 37:47Speaker 1: His face is going to change the shock and he's
- 37:48Speaker 1: gonna light on fire.
- 37:52Speaker 2: You are going to blow up ten million dollars worth
- 37:55Speaker 2: of drugs.
- 37:55Speaker 1: They're going to fall in the swamp in New Orleans.
- 37:57Speaker 1: We're putting it over the swamp.
- 37:58Speaker 3: And there's a kid who won the Megawish. He's gonna
- 38:00Speaker 3: throw one single match. He's going to go fucking off
- 38:05Speaker 3: and then he's gonna die right after that.
- 38:07Speaker 1: I wanted to talk to you about this. We've been
- 38:09Speaker 1: working with him.
- 38:10Speaker 6: His arm is not good. No, you'd have to throw
- 38:12Speaker 6: it of one hundred feet up.
- 38:15Speaker 3: Claim has to be thrusted.
- 38:17Speaker 6: We need him to be better.
- 38:19Speaker 3: Oh shit, Yeah, see, this is why we do a horse.
- 38:24Speaker 2: Remember now, Look, I believe that that kid in the
- 38:28Speaker 2: moment when he gets all hyped, when he's like okay, okay, okay, okay,
- 38:32Speaker 2: there's drums, there's fifty thousand people watching me, I believe
- 38:36Speaker 2: that his arm will be able to do it.
- 38:37Speaker 3: He's gotta believe he's got a faith the die up.
- 38:40Speaker 1: And what happens if he doesn't?
- 38:41Speaker 3: You'll have one on one? What's your problem?
- 38:46Speaker 1: I have told you my problem many times, and you.
- 38:49Speaker 2: Won't sit down with me to have a dial.
- 38:51Speaker 3: Look at what we're doing now, Let's do a three
- 38:53Speaker 3: on one right now, right now.
- 38:55Speaker 2: I don't I don't feel comfortable because then I'll show
- 38:57Speaker 2: an unconscious bias to somebody.
- 38:59Speaker 1: I don't.
- 38:59Speaker 3: I don't worry like that. It's gotta be one.
- 39:01Speaker 1: Why are you said knowing you'll show a bias, dude?
- 39:07Speaker 1: I know.
- 39:09Speaker 2: Part of being an ally is knowing that you're imperfect
- 39:11Speaker 2: and that you might be biased, and so you have
- 39:14Speaker 2: to check yourself. And the only way to check myself
- 39:16Speaker 2: is to have fourteen thousand, one on one meetings to
- 39:19Speaker 2: make sure everything's okay.
- 39:21Speaker 3: That's crazy. Right before the big day, we all are
- 39:23Speaker 3: getting further and further in our parked.
- 39:26Speaker 6: Guys.
- 39:27Speaker 2: Guys, guys, this thing is gonna be amazing. We're just
- 39:31Speaker 2: gonna go out there and we're gonna do what we
- 39:34Speaker 2: were born to do. Those seals are gonna come out
- 39:37Speaker 2: on penny boards.
- 39:39Speaker 6: Kendrick Lamar insisted seals come out on penny boards.
- 39:42Speaker 4: Coming out on penny it's going to.
- 39:46Speaker 3: Be raining fire when the.
- 39:47Speaker 4: Seals are walking, and that just cannot be safe. But
- 39:50Speaker 4: I'm excited to see it.
- 39:51Speaker 2: It's gonna be amazing.
- 39:52Speaker 6: I bet you have no.
- 39:53Speaker 4: Idea how hard it is to make ten hundred seals.
- 39:57Speaker 4: It's almost important to call you to boom it. I
- 40:00Speaker 4: can't boom it. We only have one boom and there's
- 40:02Speaker 4: one hundred seals. Why do we need to know what
- 40:05Speaker 4: the seals are saying? Kendrick says they're going to rap.
- 40:07Speaker 4: Kendrick said they're going to rap a part of GNA.
- 40:09Speaker 3: Yes, and late that Gaga said she was going to fly,
- 40:11Speaker 3: but she fail. Okay, shit's over, It's the Super Bowl.
- 40:16Speaker 3: Let's be honest. Okay, Well, is there.
- 40:18Speaker 1: Any moment that you think he's going to maybe be
- 40:20Speaker 1: a meme from this? Because of course the weekend being
- 40:23Speaker 1: lost in all his jacket people was a meme, and
- 40:26Speaker 1: of course there was the Lady Gaga jumping meme. Any
- 40:29Speaker 1: moments you think could be.
- 40:31Speaker 2: Viral, Well, we're trying to and you guys know this
- 40:35Speaker 2: and this is NDA and don't fucking blow it, but
- 40:39Speaker 2: we're trying to engineer a meme. So we are going
- 40:44Speaker 2: to have a marching band leader with the flags and
- 40:50Speaker 2: he is going to accidentally hit another marching band person
- 40:55Speaker 2: with the flag, and then we're gonna get a tight
- 40:57Speaker 2: on the person getting hit and he's gonna go.
- 41:00Speaker 3: Oh, isn't he going to barf inside the tuba? Yeah?
- 41:05Speaker 2: And then he's gonna barf inside the tubus. So we're
- 41:07Speaker 2: we're debating which part of the meme we want to use.
- 41:11Speaker 2: So we're getting all sides and preparing for all actions,
- 41:13Speaker 2: and we have a team of influencers at the ready
- 41:16Speaker 2: ready to tweet out both options.
- 41:18Speaker 1: I saw a secret memo that said that they're going
- 41:21Speaker 1: to give a hot pocket, really hot hot pocket to
- 41:24Speaker 1: DJ Mustard to see what he's gonna do.
- 41:27Speaker 6: I probably like.
- 41:30Speaker 3: We say about.
- 41:34Speaker 2: We're gonna talk about the wrestlers.
- 41:36Speaker 3: Going to be there.
- 41:37Speaker 1: I like him, Oh, the wrizzler is gonna be there
- 41:40Speaker 1: the the Wrizzlers coming out of.
- 41:45Speaker 2: And let's just say the Wrizzler is on stage for
- 41:47Speaker 2: way longer than you think.
- 41:49Speaker 6: He's doing all the family ties and family tie.
- 41:56Speaker 7: Yes, Reese Witherspoon is lighting the Wrizzlers confetti canon.
- 42:00Speaker 6: Yeah, and he's gonna think family ties.
- 42:02Speaker 2: And you know, the Wrizzler is going to be up
- 42:05Speaker 2: in the air for a while. He's gonna be caught
- 42:07Speaker 2: by Pink on a trap piece. Pink will flip him
- 42:11Speaker 2: around and then send him backwards, and he's gonna be
- 42:14Speaker 2: caught by doctor dre.
- 42:16Speaker 3: Yes right when the the rones go up in flames.
- 42:22Speaker 6: It's gonna be amazing. Actually cannot wait, and I hope
- 42:25Speaker 6: that comes through.
- 42:26Speaker 1: It's been very interesting.
- 42:28Speaker 6: We have been doing a lot of.
- 42:30Speaker 4: I heard that Kendrick Lamaran the rizzle really hit it off.
- 42:33Speaker 4: By the way they are best is at this point.
- 42:35Speaker 3: Yes, that's the only reason why we look at.
- 42:37Speaker 1: But it's been interesting. We have been doing some prototype
- 42:40Speaker 1: for hersal and stuff, trying to figure out, uh, to
- 42:44Speaker 1: light the Wrizzler and how fast because you want a
- 42:47Speaker 1: spot on him, well, so we're trying to figure out
- 42:49Speaker 1: how fast he's going to be so we can planet it.
- 42:51Speaker 4: I heard the test trials. He moves a lot faster
- 42:54Speaker 4: than you think. Yeah, well, we're using a dead pig
- 42:59Speaker 4: because that's all that we've been given.
- 43:03Speaker 3: I'm so sorry we can't.
- 43:04Speaker 2: There's unfortunately like at this point you'd get like a
- 43:07Speaker 2: stand in or somebody to test.
- 43:09Speaker 3: But there's no one like you said I have.
- 43:12Speaker 2: There is, he said, affects his aerodynamics. You can't match you.
- 43:19Speaker 1: You said I have a guy that can help you.
- 43:21Speaker 1: You gave me the number of a butcher.
- 43:23Speaker 3: I keep saying my one on ones with you. No
- 43:26Speaker 3: dead pigs near lights are fluid.
- 43:29Speaker 6: No, I will say. He smells delicious.
- 43:32Speaker 3: It's kind of smells like it's going to be bad.
- 43:34Speaker 6: It's basically basically kind of classic.
- 43:39Speaker 3: Yeah, no, this flame is more powerful.
- 43:43Speaker 2: Speaking of uh, lunch on me, I'm getting we're getting
- 43:49Speaker 2: pot belly for lunch. We're getting pot belly sandwich. So everybody, everybody,
- 43:57Speaker 2: uh venmo a dollar for your to send in your
- 44:00Speaker 2: order request because I think it's funny.
- 44:03Speaker 3: And then I forgot you only read venmo. So we
- 44:07Speaker 3: want to send you an email. We have to send
- 44:08Speaker 3: it to them.
- 44:09Speaker 2: I always send back ten dollars. Guys, this is gonna
- 44:14Speaker 2: be the best day of our lives.
- 44:15Speaker 3: It's going to be incredible. Doctor.
- 44:20Speaker 2: No, no, you gotta talk into the mike.
- 44:23Speaker 3: Dude, you gotta talk into the mic.
- 44:26Speaker 2: Every year, I fight for you. I fight for you
- 44:28Speaker 2: talking to the mic.
- 44:30Speaker 3: Make sure to Mike Kendrick and not the football players.
- 44:34Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 44:35Speaker 4: Sorry, last so two years ago, big controversy. I make
- 44:38Speaker 4: the football players and instead of hearing the halftime show,
- 44:40Speaker 4: we heard their football.
- 44:41Speaker 3: Locker room talking Tom Brady washing.
- 44:44Speaker 6: Yeah you heard Tom Brady washing.
- 44:45Speaker 3: I think we have a clip of that. Actually, yeah,
- 44:50Speaker 3: here I go again.
- 44:51Speaker 6: Yeah, you go again.
- 44:53Speaker 3: Another got five minutes until we got strap up and
- 45:00Speaker 3: go in for the second half.
- 45:01Speaker 1: Thanks Bill. Hey, is that football flattened a little bit?
- 45:07Speaker 3: Yeah? We flat the football boss.
- 45:09Speaker 6: Thanks so much.
- 45:10Speaker 1: That makes it easier for us.
- 45:12Speaker 3: My tongue is on fire.
- 45:13Speaker 1: Why were you in the shower?
- 45:15Speaker 3: I need water? I need water. You were with Tom Brady.
- 45:19Speaker 3: You that's when my tongue went on fire.
- 45:22Speaker 6: Oh my god, so you aren't.
- 45:28Speaker 3: Your tongue was on fire at the moment of the
- 45:30Speaker 3: fight game, and no one was talking about my tongue.
- 45:33Speaker 6: Shower, but device least likely to catch off fires.
- 45:37Speaker 4: They were both miked at the same time, so I
- 45:39Speaker 4: accidentally miked you too.
- 45:40Speaker 6: Yeah, I remember that. Also. I love how Tom Brady
- 45:43Speaker 6: was a little bit of like an old New Yorker.
- 45:46Speaker 1: He talks.
- 45:48Speaker 3: I love I love clips.
- 45:50Speaker 6: I love clips.
- 45:51Speaker 3: I love clips.
- 45:51Speaker 2: You guys seen America's funny.
- 45:52Speaker 3: His own videos.
- 45:53Speaker 6: I've never seen it.
- 45:54Speaker 3: It's one year. We should get a f I to
- 45:56Speaker 3: do America's Home America's h V. We should do a
- 46:01Speaker 3: I said B but you couldn't hear because my tongue.
- 46:03Speaker 2: No AFV Live. Next year halftime show got.
- 46:06Speaker 4: To do it.
- 46:07Speaker 1: I'd like to announce this is my last halftime show.
- 46:09Speaker 1: What I'm going to be leaving. I am going to
- 46:13Speaker 1: be working. I have one I'm going to be working
- 46:15Speaker 1: specifically with Jeff Bezos to light his trips to space.
- 46:20Speaker 6: So it light that you light it all the way up.
- 46:23Speaker 1: I just want to we just he just wants to
- 46:25Speaker 1: make sure everyone sees him all the time. So I'm
- 46:28Speaker 1: just going to be there.
- 46:30Speaker 3: Okay, then this is a good time for me to
- 46:31Speaker 3: say something. I'm going to leave and be with Jeff Probs.
- 46:36Speaker 3: What I'm going to do all of tribal councils bigger
- 46:38Speaker 3: and better.
- 46:39Speaker 1: Oh my god, the complaint they haven't survivors. The torches
- 46:43Speaker 1: are too small.
- 46:44Speaker 3: But they're getting bigger.
- 46:47Speaker 6: This is a crazy announcement I've got. I am actually
- 46:52Speaker 6: gonna go into law school.
- 47:00Speaker 3: I can't believe that.
- 47:01Speaker 2: This is absolutely heart wrenching to hear everyone's leaving and
- 47:06Speaker 2: I can't help but think.
- 47:08Speaker 3: I don't know. I feel like I'm taking it personally.
- 47:12Speaker 6: We're all quitting like you're a bad god.
- 47:17Speaker 2: I can't help with that. And I know it's not this,
- 47:19Speaker 2: but I feel like it's gotta be. Like, I wonder
- 47:21Speaker 2: if there's anything I can do differently.
- 47:25Speaker 1: Yes, many things, guys.
- 47:29Speaker 2: This is absolutely rocking that world. I have an announcement.
- 47:35Speaker 2: I'm making an appu so it's gonna so it's sort
