Washington’s bar exam got canceled after a major tech glitch derailed the July 2026 test in Yakima, forcing organizers to shut down the entire event. The Washington State Bar Association apologized to candidates who spent months preparing, saying they couldn’t fix the issues in time. Affected test-takers now have three options: take a makeup exam in late summer or early fall 2026, switch to the February 2027 exam, or get a full refund.
