- 0:01Speaker 1: Now, Ron Verb on News Radio 570 WKBN.
- 0:06Speaker 2: 506, it's 78 degrees, Tuesday, July 21st. Ron Verb from
- 0:11Speaker 2: the Kingdom of Mahoning, you're on the air. G2, hello.
- 0:19Speaker 3: Good evening, Ron. How are you?
- 0:20Speaker 2: I am well, sir. Thank you for calling. Comments, please.
- 0:25Speaker 3: Well, it's kind of a topsy-turvy world. I've got your...
- 0:30Speaker 3: I caught your discussion about the library, which is interesting
- 0:34Speaker 3: to me because it's another microcosm of the bigger problem
- 0:38Speaker 3: we have, which is that these government-funded entities don't seem
- 0:42Speaker 3: to be very responsive to the voters and the taxpayers
- 0:45Speaker 3: who they should be responsive to. And that's kind of
- 0:49Speaker 3: part of the whole Sovietization of the country. When you
- 0:54Speaker 3: think about the important things happening in Congress right now,
- 0:57Speaker 3: there are there are two things that are happening right now. Three,
- 1:00Speaker 3: I guess. One is that they just passed with a
- 1:03Speaker 3: supermajority this housing bill. And just like the infrastructure bill
- 1:10Speaker 3: wasn't about infrastructure and the Inflation Reduction Act accelerated inflation,
- 1:17Speaker 3: this affordable housing bill just put out giant piles of
- 1:21Speaker 3: money for all these connected groups like the economic development
- 1:27Speaker 3: groups and everybody else to just go do paid research.
- 1:32Speaker 3: It's just money swarming across the country. And the end
- 1:36Speaker 3: goal is that they now, now the government is going
- 1:39Speaker 3: to have to have at every level, some kind of
- 1:42Speaker 3: a plan for developing your community. Well, that sounds kind
- 1:45Speaker 3: of logical until you realize it's really not the government's
- 1:48Speaker 3: job to figure out where we build things and how
- 1:52Speaker 3: we build them. and what they are. It's really up
- 1:55Speaker 3: to us. And there could be some zoning and stuff
- 1:57Speaker 3: that we now have to deal with. But the truth is,
- 2:00Speaker 3: the reason one of the, you know, the great exchange
- 2:02Speaker 3: between Gorbachev and Thatcher, where he said, how do you
- 2:06Speaker 3: decide where everybody lived? And she said, well, I don't.
- 2:10Speaker 3: They figured it out by themselves. And he was astonished.
- 2:13Speaker 3: He said, that's the number one thing I spend time
- 2:15Speaker 3: on is figuring out who gets what apartment, right? And
- 2:17Speaker 3: they all ended up in those Stalin-esque apartments. And what
- 2:20Speaker 3: are they trying to do to us? They're trying to
- 2:21Speaker 3: push us into high-density housing. So the outcome of this
- 2:25Speaker 3: bill is going to be densified suburbs, right, urbanized, and
- 2:31Speaker 3: expansion into rural areas. They're going to be annexed or
- 2:35Speaker 3: going to be developed. And if somebody has an empty
- 2:37Speaker 3: lot in a town, the government is going to have
- 2:41Speaker 3: a plan for that lot, which, again, is simply not
- 2:45Speaker 3: the role of government. And so we're Sovietizing, right? More
- 2:49Speaker 3: and more the government has to take control. And then
- 2:52Speaker 3: you look at the Save America Act, which we've talked
- 2:55Speaker 3: about now for months. They aren't passing it. They don't
- 3:00Speaker 3: seem to have any interest in passing it. Donald Trump
- 3:03Speaker 3: did an extraordinary speech a week and a half ago,
- 3:07Speaker 3: a week ago, about election fraud. He talked about the Chinese.
- 3:13Speaker 3: He didn't hit everything because that would take four hours.
- 3:16Speaker 3: But he hit the Chinese involvement. He hit the manipulation
- 3:19Speaker 3: of data. He hit the risks of the machines. He
- 3:21Speaker 3: hit the problems with mail-in ballots, one of the greatest
- 3:25Speaker 3: vectors of fraud. But the other great vector of fraud,
- 3:29Speaker 3: no ID required at the polling place. So anybody can
- 3:33Speaker 3: show up and vote in anyone else's name. No way
- 3:36Speaker 3: to control that. That may seem strange to Ohioans because
- 3:39Speaker 3: you have to show an ID in Ohio. But next
- 3:42Speaker 3: door in Pennsylvania, they don't. So the Pennsylvanians could just
- 3:46Speaker 3: show up and say, sure, I'm Don Jacobs. and vote
- 3:50Speaker 3: for Don Jacobs, and their name might be Betty White.
- 3:53Speaker 3: So there's a huge problem with election fraud. It is
- 3:58Speaker 3: the singular most critical existential threat to the country. And
- 4:04Speaker 3: even though the President of the United States just went
- 4:05Speaker 3: through this hour and a half dialogue on it, Congress
- 4:09Speaker 3: isn't reacting, the media is burying it, and I've got
- 4:13Speaker 3: people that I know that are smart people telling me, oh,
- 4:15Speaker 3: it's not really an issue. Oh, there were 65 court cases.
- 4:18Speaker 3: All the lies that media have told have now soaked
- 4:21Speaker 3: into many of the people that are paying it. So
- 4:25Speaker 3: the Save America Act, it has multiple elements with north
- 4:29Speaker 3: of 70% popularity among all likely voters, not just Democrats
- 4:33Speaker 3: or Republicans, everybody. That can't get passed. But you know
- 4:38Speaker 3: what it is going through? Right now they're putting through
- 4:41Speaker 3: the National Defense Authorization Act. And in the House, they
- 4:45Speaker 3: just had this come out of committee without debate. What
- 4:50Speaker 3: did they want to avoid the debate on was this
- 4:51Speaker 3: Section 219, which changes our relationship with Israel. So unlike
- 4:59Speaker 3: everyone else that we are allied with, Israel now will,
- 5:03Speaker 3: by legislation, be incorporated into our defense budget and will have,
- 5:09Speaker 3: by dictate of Congress, not by the command structure or...
- 5:14Speaker 3: In response to threats, it's going to be dictated by Congress,
- 5:17Speaker 3: the last people you want doing this. They're going to
- 5:20Speaker 3: have an officer that's responsible for making sure that this
- 5:23Speaker 3: integration happens, and they're going to list several areas of integration.
- 5:28Speaker 3: So the people that are opposed to this say you're
- 5:30Speaker 3: merging the Israeli military into the United States military, and
- 5:35Speaker 3: certainly budget-wise you are. Operationally they say, but you're not
- 5:39Speaker 3: doing that because you're not transferring command and control. You
- 5:44Speaker 3: realize they couldn't possibly do that, right? They couldn't actually say,
- 5:47Speaker 3: we're going to let Israel decide where our soldiers fight,
- 5:51Speaker 3: what ship goes where, what plane flies there. They couldn't
- 5:54Speaker 3: quite go that far. But there is a reason that
- 5:58Speaker 3: they're giving Israel this treatment that no one else gets.
- 6:02Speaker 3: And the reason is to more tightly bind our militaries
- 6:06Speaker 3: so that these excursions we go on happen more easily,
- 6:10Speaker 3: and most importantly... so that whatever we spend on Israel's
- 6:14Speaker 3: military isn't disclosed, because it's all now going to be
- 6:18Speaker 3: rolled up into the $ 1. 5 trillion war budget. $ 1. 5 trillion.
- 6:25Speaker 3: So what they're proposing is to increase, where we're running
- 6:28Speaker 3: more than $ 2 trillion deficits, $ 40 trillion of debt, they're
- 6:32Speaker 3: going to increase our spending on war by $ 500 billion
- 6:35Speaker 3: a year. to $ 1. 5 trillion, a number that's just incalculable. Now,
- 6:42Speaker 3: of course, that drives inflation, right, all this money printing.
- 6:46Speaker 3: That has all kinds of other problems. For example, it's
- 6:49Speaker 3: been since September 10 of 2001 we've known that the
- 6:54Speaker 3: military can't manage money because that was the day that
- 6:57Speaker 3: they came out and announced the first $ 2 trillion that
- 7:00Speaker 3: they couldn't account for, $ 2 trillion lost. Can't account for it.
- 7:06Speaker 3: Now we're going to go to a trillion and a
- 7:07Speaker 3: half dollar a year expenditure, a $ 500 billion increase, and
- 7:12Speaker 3: we're going to bury Israel in there. And the argument is, yes,
- 7:15Speaker 3: but they're not going to get foreign aid anymore.
- 7:16Speaker 4: We're only getting.
- 7:18Speaker 3: $ 3 or $ 4 billion in foreign aid. We give them
- 7:20Speaker 3: money a lot of different ways. The foreign aid thing
- 7:24Speaker 3: is not the offset. Now they can get as much
- 7:26Speaker 3: money as they can get Congress to give them, as
- 7:29Speaker 3: they can get earmarked in that budget, or as they
- 7:31Speaker 3: can get the military to give them. And these people
- 7:34Speaker 3: have tremendous powers, as you know. Why are we doing this?
- 7:38Speaker 3: Why are we effectively merging it? Again, if you want
- 7:40Speaker 3: to split hairs and say, well, you know, command structure
- 7:42Speaker 3: and all that, fine. Use a different phrase, but nobody
- 7:46Speaker 3: else gets this treatment. So why are we doing this?
- 7:50Speaker 3: Why didn't Netanyahu call Marlon Stutzman and say, hey, why
- 7:54Speaker 3: don't you write me up a bill? Because I don't
- 7:56Speaker 3: want to be exposed to the unpopular nature of foreign
- 8:00Speaker 3: aid anymore. I want to be baked in to the
- 8:03Speaker 3: defense bill. And by the way, I'd like it to
- 8:05Speaker 3: go up by $ 500 billion. Why didn't Netanyahu call Stutzman
- 8:09Speaker 3: and have him draft that bill or that amendment to
- 8:12Speaker 3: the NDA? I mean, if it's not a merger, then
- 8:17Speaker 3: what is the point? So what's going to happen tomorrow, apparently,
- 8:21Speaker 3: is there's going to be a vote unless something gets upturned.
- 8:26Speaker 3: There's going to be a vote on the $ 1. 5 trillion.
- 8:28Speaker 3: So Congress will have voted on this Israeli element plus
- 8:32Speaker 3: the rest of the $ 1. 5 trillion bill, at least the
- 8:35Speaker 3: House will. they will have passed the Soviet Affordable Housing Act,
- 8:43Speaker 3: and the SAVE Act is still dying on the vine,
- 8:45Speaker 3: and just in case we're paying attention, they're not talking
- 8:48Speaker 3: about aliens again. I mean, the constant distraction. Every time
- 8:52Speaker 3: they whip out the aliens, we know there's something going
- 8:54Speaker 3: on in D.C. we need to pay attention to, and
- 8:57Speaker 3: they just want to distract us with the aliens. So
- 9:00Speaker 3: I will tell you, I think we're in great distress,
- 9:03Speaker 3: but if you look at the microcosm of the library...
- 9:07Speaker 3: And all these questions that are had, it's clear the
- 9:09Speaker 3: communications they have. Remember, they have an investor's relations guy
- 9:14Speaker 3: or person. They have a stakeholder relations person. I find
- 9:20Speaker 3: that it's a library, for God's sakes. And yet the
- 9:25Speaker 3: stakeholders have tremendous numbers of questions that can't get answered,
- 9:28Speaker 3: and their answer is kind of like, hey, how dare
- 9:31Speaker 3: you ask us? I read the article in the Vindicator.
- 9:34Speaker 3: And then on the other side, you roll all the
- 9:36Speaker 3: way up to a military with $ 1. 5 trillion spending, and
- 9:40Speaker 3: it's all black box. There's no way to know. There's
- 9:42Speaker 3: an intelligence bill coming next that's going to take the
- 9:46Speaker 3: same approach with Israel. Now, I don't care if you're
- 9:49Speaker 3: a Zionist Christian or a Zionist Jew or not a Zionist.
- 9:53Speaker 3: I don't care. I don't understand how any of this
- 9:57Speaker 3: makes sense for a sovereign nation to do. Of course,
- 10:00Speaker 3: in response to this, there's been a lot of talk
- 10:02Speaker 3: about Zionism, and there's a video floating around of Barry
- 10:06Speaker 3: Goldwater explaining how he views Congress as occupied territory because
- 10:11Speaker 3: the Zionists have taken control. That was Barry Goldwater. He's
- 10:14Speaker 3: been dead a while. So I think, you know, again...
- 10:20Speaker 3: We just simply can't get back to the place where
- 10:22Speaker 3: the American people are being represented by Congress, where Congress
- 10:26Speaker 3: is implementing the America First agenda we sent them there
- 10:28Speaker 3: to implement, and where we're moving the country back onto
- 10:32Speaker 3: the path of normalcy. Meanwhile, you've got this Democrat Socialist
- 10:36Speaker 3: of America rising up within the Democrat Party. We're to
- 10:40Speaker 3: believe that's organic, by the way. I suppose we're supposed
- 10:43Speaker 3: to think that's just a popular movement. There's no chance
- 10:46Speaker 3: that's a popular movement. That's a funded mission. That is
- 10:50Speaker 3: an organized, structured, and funded group that has a mission.
- 10:54Speaker 3: And the mission, of course, is to move us ever
- 10:55Speaker 3: further down that Soviet path. Now, at a time when
- 11:00Speaker 3: they basically stripped us of capitalism because the government's dictating everything,
- 11:05Speaker 3: funding everything, you know, you think of people on the
- 11:08Speaker 3: dole as the people that are getting SNAP benefits and,
- 11:11Speaker 3: you know, Medicaid. The people on the dole are the
- 11:14Speaker 3: people that are sitting up in a sports arena, billionaire,
- 11:18Speaker 3: that had the taxpayers subsidize his store, his arena. The
- 11:22Speaker 3: people that are on the dole are the people that
- 11:24Speaker 3: live on government contracts and make $ 2 million a year
- 11:28Speaker 3: or $ 700, 000 a year or whatever number on government contracts
- 11:33Speaker 3: because there's no independent markets. The people that are on
- 11:40Speaker 3: the government dole, the people that use regulatory burdens put
- 11:43Speaker 3: on small businesses to maintain a vast moat around their
- 11:47Speaker 3: company because small businesses can't handle the regulatory burden that
- 11:52Speaker 3: they lobby for. People are going to say, well, why
- 11:54Speaker 3: would that company want to have the burden of regulations
- 11:56Speaker 3: on their own industry? Well, because that keeps anyone else
- 12:00Speaker 3: from entering their industry. If you don't have an army
- 12:02Speaker 3: of attorneys and consultants, you can't deal with the regulations.
- 12:05Speaker 3: So the conclusion is... Somehow we have to find our
- 12:09Speaker 3: way out of this Sovietization path and back to a free, prosperous,
- 12:15Speaker 3: safe and secure country where freedom isn't just political, it's
- 12:20Speaker 3: speech and it's economic freedom. And you can't have economic
- 12:24Speaker 3: freedom if you've got distorted capital markets and you've got
- 12:27Speaker 3: distorted regulatory markets and you don't have a healthy small
- 12:31Speaker 3: business environment. So, you know, we got to get something
- 12:35Speaker 3: done here. And I just don't see any movement in
- 12:38Speaker 3: Congress at all.
- 12:39Speaker 5: None.
- 12:42Speaker 3: So I'm troubled.
- 12:45Speaker 2: What's your thoughts about the situation in Iran?
- 12:49Speaker 3: Well, look, if you look at the activity over the
- 12:51Speaker 3: last 24 hours, they've been lobbing missiles and drones back
- 12:54Speaker 3: and forth. The United States released a– the Pentagon released
- 12:59Speaker 3: a video. If you haven't seen it, you should. It
- 13:03Speaker 3: is the most stunning– battlefield video I've ever seen. It's
- 13:08Speaker 3: about 12 minutes and 58 seconds long, something like that.
- 13:11Speaker 3: And in that video, you'll see rocket launchers being taken out.
- 13:16Speaker 3: You'll see individual infantry on the ground being taken out.
- 13:19Speaker 3: And these things are being attacked from like 30,000 feet
- 13:22Speaker 3: in some cases by aircraft. It's incredible, the capabilities. So
- 13:27Speaker 3: the United States continues to hammer away. Iran continues to respond.
- 13:31Speaker 3: The Gulf countries, their neighbors are getting, I think, you know,
- 13:35Speaker 3: well past the point of wanting to be on the sidelines.
- 13:39Speaker 3: I think you're going to see more pressure there. And
- 13:42Speaker 3: that doesn't necessarily have to only be kinetic. It could
- 13:45Speaker 3: be just, you know, stopping them from doing things that
- 13:50Speaker 3: we wouldn't be able to know about, you know, like
- 13:51Speaker 3: moving cargos through rail lines or trucks. You know, their
- 13:55Speaker 3: neighbors know everything, right? So I think this thing is...
- 14:01Speaker 3: is far from decided. Trump is going to have to
- 14:04Speaker 3: just smash and break everything he can find over there.
- 14:09Speaker 3: He's going to have to do that until the, specifically
- 14:12Speaker 3: targeting the IRGC, until that IRGC is really on its back. Now, remember,
- 14:18Speaker 3: the IRGC controls, I think it's like half of the economy,
- 14:21Speaker 3: let's say, roughly, over there, just the way the People's Republican,
- 14:24Speaker 3: or the People's Revolution, the PRC in China controls. runs everything.
- 14:32Speaker 3: The army in China runs everything. Just like that, these
- 14:34Speaker 3: guys are running a lot of the economy. So he's
- 14:38Speaker 3: got to keep this economic pressure on. And I know
- 14:41Speaker 3: I said this before, but the folks that say that
- 14:44Speaker 3: Iran is getting stronger every day, go figure. Explain that.
- 14:48Speaker 5: How?
- 14:48Speaker 3: Because they can't ship oil. They don't have any revenue.
- 14:51Speaker 3: They can't get free flows of arms in to resupply
- 14:55Speaker 3: because they can't use their airspace or their ocean. They
- 14:58Speaker 3: can't use the strait. That's making them stronger because they
- 15:01Speaker 3: have growing unrest in their own cities, because food is
- 15:04Speaker 3: now tight, because their infrastructure is being degraded. Now their
- 15:08Speaker 3: IRGC is being degraded. That's what's making them stronger. Iran
- 15:12Speaker 3: isn't getting stronger by the day. So Trump has to
- 15:17Speaker 3: keep the pressure on now at maximum push until he
- 15:22Speaker 3: gets them to finally come to some agreements. Now, a
- 15:26Speaker 3: lot of folks are talking about preparing for a ground invasion.
- 15:31Speaker 3: I've talked to some people about this who have done
- 15:33Speaker 3: ground invasions.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Stand by.
- 15:36Speaker 3: All right, stand by.
- 15:37Speaker 2: Back with G2 in a minute. News Radio 570, WDKVN
- 15:40Speaker 2: and Ron Ferb. 522, we're here tonight until 6. Guardians
- 15:44Speaker 2: on the air tonight at 6. News Radio 570, WDKVN.
- 15:51Speaker 2: All right. I'll tell you something when you're talking about
- 15:56Speaker 2: this situation, and I'll just let you respond. I think
- 15:59Speaker 2: that this is a disaster. I'm just going to tell
- 16:01Speaker 2: you right up front. I mean, this thing has just
- 16:04Speaker 2: been dragging on and on and on, and I don't
- 16:06Speaker 2: see any end in sight. I mean, I've listened to
- 16:09Speaker 2: what you've been talking about. I mean, obviously, there's no
- 16:13Speaker 2: point in talking about it. It was a mistake from
- 16:16Speaker 2: day one, whether he got into it because of Israel
- 16:19Speaker 2: or not in Yahoo, but... It was a mistake from
- 16:21Speaker 2: day one, but I don't see any end in sight
- 16:24Speaker 2: of this at all. And I just, I'm here to
- 16:27Speaker 2: tell you, as, as you see, uh, I think major
- 16:30Speaker 2: problems with our oil supply. And I think you're going to,
- 16:33Speaker 2: that this is going to create more inflation and higher
- 16:37Speaker 2: energy costs. And there's no end in sight to this.
- 16:40Speaker 2: It is, it's just a mess and he can continue
- 16:43Speaker 2: to bomb them. And so we'll see what, what happens with,
- 16:46Speaker 2: with that scenario. Uh, it didn't work before. I'm not
- 16:50Speaker 2: so sure it's going to work now. And I just
- 16:53Speaker 2: think that, uh, that they do have some cards to
- 16:55Speaker 2: play as far as, uh, as far as, um, waiting
- 17:02Speaker 2: it out to them, to the midterms, as far as
- 17:05Speaker 2: destruction of, uh, oil, the oil supply in other countries.
- 17:11Speaker 2: I don't think anything good is going to come from this.
- 17:13Speaker 2: I'm sorry. You can, you can go bomb and bomb
- 17:16Speaker 2: and bomb and bomb and bomb, uh, I think when
- 17:20Speaker 2: the dust settles, we're going to be paying more for
- 17:22Speaker 2: a gallon of gasoline, we're going to be paying more
- 17:23Speaker 2: for oil, and we're going to have horrible inflation as
- 17:27Speaker 2: a result of this stupid move.
- 17:30Speaker 3: Well, there's no question that the– so we went through
- 17:34Speaker 3: this with an oil industry expert. And who isn't like
- 17:39Speaker 3: these emotional guys that hate Trump?
- 17:41Speaker 2: I don't necessarily think they're emotional guys who hate Trump.
- 17:45Speaker 3: I think we have a bunch of them who are
- 17:47Speaker 3: clearly on a mission simply to be negative. Their analysis
- 17:50Speaker 3: is garbage.
- 17:51Speaker 2: I think there's a lot to be negative.
- 17:53Speaker 3: But I'm emotional, so my analysis is garbage. I've heard
- 17:56Speaker 3: plenty of it. But I don't.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Think anything good is going to happen here. I mean,
- 18:02Speaker 2: go ahead and bomb them some more. Let's see what happens.
- 18:05Speaker 2: What do they say? Insanity is doing the same thing again,
- 18:08Speaker 2: expecting different results.
- 18:11Speaker 3: When you get down to the finer parts of this
- 18:14Speaker 3: and you start looking at it, obviously having the straight
- 18:16Speaker 3: closed is a problem. What I'm never able to understand
- 18:19Speaker 3: is why it's only a problem for us and not
- 18:21Speaker 3: for Iran. That part I don't get. Because if they
- 18:24Speaker 3: can't ship oil, they are denied a critical lifeline of
- 18:28Speaker 3: revenue that they need to keep this thing together. They
- 18:31Speaker 3: are not without internal pressure. Remember, long before this happened,
- 18:35Speaker 3: a year ago, we were talking about how their military
- 18:38Speaker 3: was predominantly focused on internal suppression rather than outward projections
- 18:43Speaker 3: of power.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Well, do you see them buckling? I mean, do you
- 18:47Speaker 2: see them saying, okay, we give up?
- 18:50Speaker 3: Well, I don't know what you expect. I mean, you
- 18:53Speaker 3: expect them just to come out with a white flag?
- 18:56Speaker 3: I mean, look. These people are facing increasing pressure in
- 19:01Speaker 3: their own country. Their IRGC resources have been largely focused internally.
- 19:06Speaker 3: That's why they can throw out missiles now and again.
- 19:08Speaker 3: But really, in terms of a country of that size
- 19:11Speaker 3: and power being able to project outward, it hasn't been
- 19:14Speaker 3: very impressive. But they're facing an existential threat. They've lost
- 19:18Speaker 3: complete control.
- 19:19Speaker 6: Of their airspace.
- 19:20Speaker 2: I'm facing a threat, too. I'm facing $ 4 a gallon
- 19:24Speaker 2: and potentially more than that.
- 19:26Speaker 6: More than that.
- 19:27Speaker 2: I think you're taking more than that.
- 19:29Speaker 3: There's no question. All right.
- 19:30Speaker 2: And I don't think that in a war that we
- 19:35Speaker 2: really didn't have a say-so on, and I don't think
- 19:37Speaker 2: the vast majority of people approve of, as you get
- 19:39Speaker 2: closer to the midterms. I mean, you think people are
- 19:43Speaker 2: going to sit back and say, let's go to $ 5
- 19:45Speaker 2: a gallon again. Let's go to $ 4. 50 because of some situation.
- 19:50Speaker 2: that he created, that Trump created this situation. And he
- 19:54Speaker 2: created it. And it is a mess. And inflation very
- 19:58Speaker 2: well can come back and higher oil prices are coming back.
- 20:01Speaker 2: You think that's a win?
- 20:02Speaker 3: So let's try to break it down. I understand your argument. right?
- 20:11Speaker 3: I haven't been happy this war started either. I think
- 20:13Speaker 3: we spent a lot of time on that. I'm simply
- 20:15Speaker 3: saying we are where we are. So now the question is,
- 20:18Speaker 3: what is the best course of action to get out
- 20:19Speaker 3: of here? What is the best course of action to
- 20:22Speaker 3: get to a resolution?
- 20:23Speaker 2: Do you double down on a mistake? Is that the
- 20:26Speaker 2: best course of action to say, we're going to double
- 20:28Speaker 2: down on this thing and we don't give a damn
- 20:31Speaker 2: if we run out of oil or gas goes to
- 20:33Speaker 2: five bucks a gallon or six bucks or jet fuel
- 20:36Speaker 2: or diesel? Is that a good direction to go? Because
- 20:42Speaker 2: that seems to be the direction we're heading.
- 20:46Speaker 3: So there are a whole lot of things here that
- 20:49Speaker 3: are very, very difficult to perceive.
- 20:51Speaker 2: All right. Well, hang on. Right after the break, you
- 20:54Speaker 2: can talk about them. I think it's a disaster. We'll
- 20:58Speaker 2: be back after this. Let's start here. So good morning
- 21:02Speaker 2: and welcome.
- 21:02Speaker 3: We are now underway.
- 21:04Speaker 2: We're following the events of the day. What we're just
- 21:07Speaker 2: now hearing about.
- 21:08Speaker 7: This is new information.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Throughout the day.
- 21:10Speaker 8: Good day.
- 21:11Speaker 9: This is where it stands now.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Pick up the conversation. We'll talk about what's happening. Anytime.
- 21:16Speaker 2: The deal we reached with Iran.
- 21:18Speaker 3: The devil's in the details. Bringing the price of gasoline down.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Maintain the Fed funds rate.
- 21:22Speaker 3: Tying Pfizer to the save app. NATO has been.
- 21:24Speaker 2: A paper tiger for the very latest. We'll see how
- 21:27Speaker 2: that all plays out. News Radio 570 WKBN.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Severe weather impacting parts of Ohio this afternoon.
- 21:37Speaker 7: A tornado warning seen in the southwest and eastern parts
- 21:39Speaker 7: of the state. with a confirmed tornado touching down in
- 21:42Speaker 7: Claremont County just east of Cincinnati. Storms also bringing heavy rain,
- 21:46Speaker 7: triggering flash flood warnings in parts of the Cincinnati area
- 21:48Speaker 7: that are still cleaning up from flash flooding this past Friday,
- 21:51Speaker 7: when anywhere from four to six inches of rain fell
- 21:53Speaker 7: within two hours, flooding stretches of interstate roads requiring water rescues,
- 21:58Speaker 7: while causing flood damage to homes and businesses. A man's
- 22:00Speaker 7: death Friday just east of Cincinnati blamed on the floodwaters.
- 22:04Speaker 7: Ohio State University assistant professor Luke Perez avoiding jail time
- 22:08Speaker 7: as court documents show that he pleaded no contest to
- 22:10Speaker 7: a lesser charge of disorderly conduct Monday and was found guilty.
- 22:14Speaker 7: Perez sentenced to two years of probation in order to
- 22:16Speaker 7: pay a $ 100 fine with a 30-day jail sentence suspended.
- 22:19Speaker 7: Perez had knocked the victim to the ground inside OSU's
- 22:22Speaker 7: Smith Lab building back in February. I'm Sean Gallagher.

- 22:33Speaker 1: Free never sounded so good. From the A to Z,
- 22:36Speaker 1: depend on VIRB. On NewsRadio 570, WKBN.
- 22:41Speaker 2: Back to it, NewsRadio 570, WKBN. We'll take some calls
- 22:44Speaker 2: coming up here momentarily with G2 at 535. I just...
- 22:51Speaker 2: I'm not optimistic on the outcome of this situation, and
- 22:54Speaker 2: I sure as hell am not optimistic on what's happening
- 22:56Speaker 2: with the economy. And that's the reality of what's going on.
- 23:06Speaker 2: I mean, gas prices are going back up. Oil prices.
- 23:09Speaker 2: We shall see as time goes on. Keep bombing them.
- 23:13Speaker 2: Let's just keep on bombing them. You know, let's see what.
- 23:16Speaker 2: We've done a lot of that. He kept telling us, oh,
- 23:19Speaker 2: we got him on the ropes. They want a deal.
- 23:21Speaker 2: You know, I don't know what to believe anymore. But
- 23:24Speaker 2: I'm not believing a lot of what he's telling me.
- 23:27Speaker 2: He being Trump.
- 23:29Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 23:30Speaker 2: I mean, it's all bull crap. They want a deal.
- 23:33Speaker 2: They want a deal. We did all this bombing. We
- 23:35Speaker 2: got them on the ropes. Well, they didn't throw up
- 23:38Speaker 2: the white flag. They didn't give in. They didn't do anything. Oh,
- 23:41Speaker 2: we got this memorandum of understanding. Well, that didn't go
- 23:44Speaker 2: too well either. Well, what makes you think if we
- 23:47Speaker 2: do more that all of a sudden it's going to
- 23:48Speaker 2: change that? We just keep on going. You want to
- 23:52Speaker 2: do this for a year? How long do you want
- 23:54Speaker 2: to do this? I'm asking you.
- 24:00Speaker 3: So with regard to the war, right, that side of it, again,
- 24:05Speaker 3: I understand that we're being told all the time how
- 24:07Speaker 3: great this is for Iran, how well they're doing, how
- 24:09Speaker 3: they're kicking our ass. This is not a great time
- 24:13Speaker 3: for them. They are not prospering. Their infrastructure is being degraded.
- 24:16Speaker 3: This is not.
- 24:17Speaker 2: But I counter that by saying it's not a great
- 24:19Speaker 2: time for us either.
- 24:20Speaker 3: Fair enough.
- 24:25Speaker 2: I mean, it just isn't. I mean, the market's up
- 24:30Speaker 2: and crashing and comes down one day. Oil prices are down.
- 24:34Speaker 2: They're way back up. I mean, where do you want
- 24:36Speaker 2: to go with this? I mean, what's the strategy here?
- 24:40Speaker 2: What's the plan here? I mean, it seems so, I
- 24:44Speaker 2: don't know how to describe it, just so damn half-assed
- 24:46Speaker 2: at this point in time to me.
- 24:51Speaker 3: Go ahead. I don't think it's that. I mean, you know,
- 24:56Speaker 3: You look at the execution of this. These guys have
- 24:58Speaker 3: done a fantastic job, and they are extraordinarily effective in
- 25:04Speaker 3: using the tools they're using. The question is, are those
- 25:06Speaker 3: tools enough? Well, it depends. The most important weapon we're
- 25:10Speaker 3: using right now is economic pressure. And one of the
- 25:16Speaker 3: pressures that they're facing that is significant is increasing internal pressure.
- 25:20Speaker 3: It is absolutely the case that certain elements within Iran
- 25:23Speaker 3: would like to do a deal, and certain elements within
- 25:25Speaker 3: Iran will never want to do a deal. But as
- 25:29Speaker 3: the pressure grows, that's going to change. Now, will that
- 25:32Speaker 3: happen in time to save the midterms? I don't know.
- 25:35Speaker 3: But we got bigger issues with the midterms before this came.
- 25:39Speaker 3: I don't know if they're bigger issues, but we have
- 25:41Speaker 3: significant issues with the midterms just in what Johnson and
- 25:44Speaker 3: Thune are doing. They are significantly harming the Republican Party,
- 25:48Speaker 3: and they will not stop. So by passing things like
- 25:53Speaker 3: the housing bill, but not the bills that the people
- 25:55Speaker 3: care about, they're not helping. Now you add on top
- 25:58Speaker 3: of that high gas prices and a war. All right,
- 26:01Speaker 3: we voted for Trump because he promised no wars. We
- 26:04Speaker 3: did not vote for wars. So, yeah, I don't think
- 26:08Speaker 3: this was a good idea. I think we established that
- 26:10Speaker 3: with great clarity. But now we're here. So there are
- 26:13Speaker 3: two choices. Continue the pressure, continue the economic pressure, or
- 26:19Speaker 3: walk away... And what comes after that is going to
- 26:23Speaker 3: be ugly because they're going to get whatever path they
- 26:27Speaker 3: were on before. I do not think they had a
- 26:28Speaker 3: nuclear weapon before, but they certainly want one, and they
- 26:31Speaker 3: will be renewing that effort. You've got Israel over there
- 26:34Speaker 3: who's never going to stop telling us we've got to
- 26:36Speaker 3: go destroy Iran, and they'll do whatever they have to
- 26:39Speaker 3: do to make that happen. If they've got to do
- 26:41Speaker 3: a false flag, they'll false flag it. So you've got
- 26:45Speaker 3: a problem that whether or not this is the right
- 26:48Speaker 3: time to handle it, we're now engaged. So it's either
- 26:52Speaker 3: fight through it or quit. And I just don't see
- 26:55Speaker 3: how quitting is going to work right now. It's just not. Now,
- 27:00Speaker 3: in the oil markets, if you look at specifically what's
- 27:04Speaker 3: going on, yes, they drew down the Strategic Petroleum Reserve
- 27:09Speaker 3: from the time Biden took office until he left office.
- 27:11Speaker 3: They drew that thing down hard, far more than it's
- 27:15Speaker 3: been drawn down as a result of this war. So
- 27:18Speaker 3: we came into the war, and by the way, you
- 27:21Speaker 3: and I talked about this and warned about this in 22.
- 27:26Speaker 3: We warned about the fact that they were drawing down
- 27:29Speaker 3: the Strategic Patrolling Reserve to help them in the midterms,
- 27:32Speaker 3: and that's not what it was for. It wasn't to
- 27:35Speaker 3: offset bad energy policy in advance of an election. Well,
- 27:40Speaker 3: now we're here. And they took far more of the
- 27:43Speaker 3: Strategic Patrolling Reserve was drawn down by the Democrats protecting
- 27:48Speaker 3: themselves in the midterms than by Trump in reaction to
- 27:52Speaker 3: this war. That said, we're getting to a point where
- 27:56Speaker 3: we're hitting a level that we can't continue to draw.
- 28:00Speaker 3: There was damage done to this, the infrastructure for that
- 28:03Speaker 3: reserve before Trump took office. Well, now you're drawing it
- 28:07Speaker 3: down to a point where if you keep going, you're
- 28:09Speaker 3: going to have other problems. So we're running out of
- 28:11Speaker 3: our ability to draw down. It is not as clear
- 28:14Speaker 3: where China is. So far, they've had plenty of material
- 28:18Speaker 3: to draw down. They've been able to buy some. You know,
- 28:20Speaker 3: they've been making it work. But, yeah, it's absolutely the
- 28:23Speaker 3: case that we could be looking at much more, at
- 28:28Speaker 3: big increases in oil prices between now and November. And
- 28:32Speaker 3: that's going to be a disaster. But the die is cast.
- 28:36Speaker 3: Pulling out isn't necessarily the option here. But remember as
- 28:42Speaker 3: well that with the Saudis, with UAE, we've talked about
- 28:44Speaker 3: that a lot. With what's happening down in Venezuela, they're
- 28:47Speaker 3: now up like 700,000 barrels a day. It's a remarkable
- 28:50Speaker 3: turnaround in Venezuela. You've got Brazil and others pumping out
- 28:53Speaker 3: more and more. That has taken off some of the
- 28:57Speaker 3: pressure on the energy markets. But, of course, what's happening
- 29:00Speaker 3: in Russia is going the other way. Because the Europeans,
- 29:05Speaker 3: and to some degree us, continue to feed the war
- 29:08Speaker 3: in Ukraine, and now they're launching these long-range drones specifically
- 29:13Speaker 3: at oil and gas infrastructure inside Russia. So if you
- 29:16Speaker 3: look at Russia, it was an exporter of jet fuel.
- 29:20Speaker 3: They've canceled that. They were exporting gasoline. They stopped that.
- 29:24Speaker 3: They were exporting diesel fuel. They stopped that. I'd say,
- 29:28Speaker 3: I don't know, between April and July they stopped those,
- 29:31Speaker 3: or June maybe they stopped all of that. So they're
- 29:35Speaker 3: now conserving their own supplies because these lunatics in Europe won't.
- 29:40Speaker 3: allow this war to end. Remember Boris Johnson went over
- 29:42Speaker 3: and stopped it? And that's now beginning to affect their
- 29:45Speaker 3: ability to refine petroleum inside Russia. Well, we were counting
- 29:49Speaker 3: on Russia exporting more to keep the markets in check.
- 29:52Speaker 3: That's a factor no one's counting because it doesn't help
- 29:55Speaker 3: the narrative against Trump. But that's the reality, right? And
- 30:01Speaker 3: so I would really like to see Russia get back
- 30:04Speaker 3: in shape to repair its refining capacity and then begin
- 30:09Speaker 3: exporting again. We really could use that. That would be helpful.
- 30:12Speaker 3: But I guess we've got to keep the coke head
- 30:14Speaker 3: in Kiev stoused up with cash. So then you look
- 30:20Speaker 3: at this energy market globally. Yes, we're headed for rougher
- 30:23Speaker 3: waters until this thing gets solved. But I don't understand
- 30:26Speaker 3: how people are seeing with such clarity what's happening in
- 30:28Speaker 3: the country of Iran, because what I'm hearing from people
- 30:32Speaker 3: that study such things is that this is a country
- 30:36Speaker 3: under increasing pressure internally because they have a tremendous amount
- 30:41Speaker 3: of stress. If they aren't paying the IRGC, the IRGC
- 30:46Speaker 3: isn't necessarily going to do what they want them to do.
- 30:49Speaker 3: They've got to have the cash flow to keep the
- 30:51Speaker 3: tyranny going. This is a, this is not, this is
- 30:55Speaker 3: a group that's extremely popular with us with one set
- 30:58Speaker 3: of Iranian people and not with some others. It's not
- 31:02Speaker 3: a homogenous singular group. So, so, um, so I think
- 31:07Speaker 3: the strategy that Trump is, is employing is to continue
- 31:11Speaker 3: to degrade their infrastructure and their ability to export and import,
- 31:15Speaker 3: you know, on the rail lines on the backside by
- 31:17Speaker 3: Turkmenistan and, and, uh, continue to degrade their infrastructure, continue
- 31:24Speaker 3: now to work down the IRGC, and when you see
- 31:28Speaker 3: them hitting these military units, obviously our capabilities as a
- 31:33Speaker 3: nation are just incredible. A trillion dollars does that. But
- 31:38Speaker 3: they've just got to keep that going, keep the pressure on,
- 31:41Speaker 3: and then get the rest of the Gulf countries to
- 31:43Speaker 3: also add their pressure to it, And here's one of
- 31:46Speaker 3: the things that no one seems to understand, or at
- 31:48Speaker 3: least isn't giving any recognition of. No one's coming to help.
- 31:54Speaker 3: China isn't rushing in there to help them. The Russians
- 31:56Speaker 3: aren't rushing in there to help them. They have no
- 31:59Speaker 3: external forces that are rushing in to help. Which, you know,
- 32:04Speaker 3: if you think about the Korean War, right? The Korean
- 32:09Speaker 3: War was over. The U.S. and the Allied forces had
- 32:12Speaker 3: pushed all the way up to the Chinese border almost.
- 32:16Speaker 3: And then 900,000 Chinese troops came across the border, and
- 32:19Speaker 3: all of a sudden we had the Chosin Reservoir fight.
- 32:23Speaker 3: And so you just don't see that here. They just
- 32:27Speaker 3: don't have the outside support that they need to keep going. Now,
- 32:31Speaker 3: I still say it would be an absolute disaster to
- 32:33Speaker 3: do a ground invasion. I don't think... that our military
- 32:37Speaker 3: fails to understand that. I don't have some unique insight
- 32:41Speaker 3: into the fact that this, both from a terrain standpoint,
- 32:43Speaker 3: a population standpoint, a density standpoint, this is a huge
- 32:47Speaker 3: piece of ground that you would have to control. I
- 32:51Speaker 3: just don't think they're going to do that. Now, maybe
- 32:53Speaker 3: they try to do something around the Strait. I don't know.
- 32:56Speaker 3: But we do not have, as far as I can tell,
- 32:59Speaker 3: the kind of infrastructure there from a military standpoint that
- 33:03Speaker 3: would support any significant ground invasion. That's great news. So
- 33:08Speaker 3: I understand your frustrations. I don't disagree. But, you know,
- 33:12Speaker 3: they bombed them enough in the first round that they
- 33:14Speaker 3: did tremendous damage and brought them to the table. Now
- 33:18Speaker 3: they're at them a second round. It's getting deeper. They've
- 33:21Speaker 3: gone past the first-tier targets. Now they're in the second-tier targets,
- 33:25Speaker 3: then the third-tier targets. They're working down the list to
- 33:29Speaker 3: an ever-deeper penetration into that country, and it is going
- 33:33Speaker 3: to be a problem. So let's see if they can
- 33:36Speaker 3: get them back to the table, and maybe this time
- 33:38Speaker 3: some more moderate people, you know, win. And maybe Israel
- 33:43Speaker 3: doesn't spend so much time trying to disrupt the negotiations. So,
- 33:49Speaker 3: you know, I don't think you're wrong. This is a situation. But,
- 33:56Speaker 3: you know, it's gone as far as a military exercise
- 33:59Speaker 3: being executed. This has been stunning.
- 34:02Speaker 6: Right.
- 34:02Speaker 2: Listen, I don't disagree with that. All I'm saying is
- 34:06Speaker 2: if it's a mistake from the very beginning, which it is,
- 34:09Speaker 2: and you don't think it's going to inflict economic harm,
- 34:13Speaker 2: which it already is doing on this country, which could
- 34:16Speaker 2: get a lot more severe, then I think people are foolish.
- 34:22Speaker 2: I just think they're foolish. It's... The oil situation is
- 34:26Speaker 2: not in a good situation. The gasoline situation, I don't
- 34:30Speaker 2: care if it's diesel fuel or gasoline. And inflation. I mean,
- 34:36Speaker 2: it is just, this very well could be a disaster,
- 34:41Speaker 2: I think, economically. And if he loses the midterms, he
- 34:45Speaker 2: has no one to blame but himself. Period. No one
- 34:48Speaker 2: to blame but himself.
- 34:50Speaker 3: I would expand the group a little further because there
- 34:52Speaker 3: were trouble for the midterms before this war started. And
- 34:55Speaker 3: I have been since, I don't know, since around March
- 34:59Speaker 3: of 2025, I've been putting this on these traitors in
- 35:03Speaker 3: Congress who refuse to respond.
- 35:05Speaker 2: Well, it's the economy, stupid. And I think it still is.
- 35:09Speaker 2: And if you've got high inflation, those gas prices determine
- 35:13Speaker 2: how people vote.
- 35:14Speaker 3: Let's take some calls.
- 35:14Speaker 2: You're on the air.
- 35:20Speaker 3: Hi, Ron. How are you doing, Vladimir? Listen, have you
- 35:24Speaker 3: been to Taco Bell?
- 35:26Speaker 6: Have you been to Taco Bell recently?
- 35:27Speaker 4: Because I think you've got diarrhea in the mouth. Everything
- 35:30Speaker 4: you say is lies.
- 35:32Speaker 3: You know, the thing is that... All right, hold on, JJ.
- 35:35Speaker 3: Take one and say it. Just give me one and
- 35:39Speaker 3: say it. We are becoming weaker. One point. What do
- 35:44Speaker 3: you mean one point?
- 35:45Speaker 8: Don't tell me what to do.
- 35:46Speaker 4: You come on here all the time and all you
- 35:48Speaker 4: do is flap your lips and you lie. First of all,
- 35:51Speaker 4: the 2022 election was not rigged. Everything that he put
- 35:55Speaker 4: out the other day went against him. China didn't get
- 35:58Speaker 4: any of that information for 2022 after the election. So
- 36:01Speaker 4: knock it off. Everything that he missed about it by
- 36:03Speaker 4: saying that the election had been rigged was only the
- 36:06Speaker 4: one that he lost.
- 36:08Speaker 6: Any moron can understand that.
- 36:10Speaker 4: And second of all, he got us into a position
- 36:12Speaker 4: right now that if we walk away, we're in trouble.
- 36:15Speaker 3: If we stay, we're in trouble.
- 36:17Speaker 4: I don't think anybody really realizes how bad this is.
- 36:21Speaker 4: Because we don't.
- 36:22Speaker 3: Have any allies either, Vladimir.
- 36:25Speaker 4: They might not have any allies, but we don't. And
- 36:27Speaker 4: I'm telling you, man, when people like you continue to talk,
- 36:30Speaker 4: how do they listen to Bubba Canoosh than listen to you?
- 36:34Speaker 4: Because at least he's kind of genuine in a way.
- 36:36Speaker 3: You're just lying.
- 36:37Speaker 2: Okay?
- 36:38Speaker 4: Ron called you on I don't know how many things,
- 36:41Speaker 4: and you were like, like me. You sound like me.
- 36:43Speaker 4: Enough is enough. He needs to be taken out.
- 36:48Speaker 6: He needs to be taken out of office.
- 36:49Speaker 3: Can you be more specific? Can you pick? I know.
- 36:51Speaker 3: Can you just make a specific point that we can address?
- 36:56Speaker 3: But can you say something meaningful that we can address,
- 36:58Speaker 3: like a question or a point?
- 37:00Speaker 4: Let's just say something that's meaningful instead of it's just
- 37:02Speaker 4: a bunch of diarrhea.
- 37:03Speaker 2: Coming out of your mouth. Well, that is going to.
- 37:06Speaker 2: It's the lettuce thing. All right. Thanks, JJ.
- 37:08Speaker 6: It's the lettuce thing.
- 37:09Speaker 3: All right.
- 37:09Speaker 2: You're on the air. Hello.
- 37:13Speaker 8: For one minute. I guess Trump thought that they wouldn't retaliate.
- 37:18Speaker 8: They've retaliated every time. I said that from the beginning.
- 37:22Speaker 8: I said, they're going to retaliate. You think they're just
- 37:24Speaker 8: going to sit there and say, okay, just bomb the
- 37:27Speaker 8: hell out of us. That's okay. Right or wrong?
- 37:31Speaker 3: Unbelievable.
- 37:33Speaker 8: And Ron, I want to say this to you. Ten
- 37:36Speaker 8: days ago, I said, gas prices are out of the world.
- 37:41Speaker 8: Grocery prices are out of the world. The stock market's taken,
- 37:44Speaker 8: and we're in a war. And you know what you said?
- 37:48Speaker 8: You know what you said, Ron?
- 37:50Speaker 2: What did I say?
- 37:51Speaker 8: You hung up on me. And now today, you're saying
- 37:55Speaker 8: exactly what I said.
- 37:57Speaker 2: No, I've been saying it for a while. You're on
- 37:59Speaker 2: the air. I mean, no offense to you, but I've
- 38:01Speaker 2: been saying it for a while. You're on the air.
- 38:03Speaker 3: Yeah, you've been saying it for a while. Hello.
- 38:05Speaker 5: Hello, Ron?
- 38:06Speaker 3: Yes. I've got a point to make.
- 38:09Speaker 5: You know, we took out, basically, they have, Iran has
- 38:13Speaker 5: no Air Force, and they have no Navy.
- 38:16Speaker 3: Other than maybe a few.
- 38:18Speaker 2: We know that.
- 38:20Speaker 5: But here's the thing. And they continue to hit our
- 38:25Speaker 5: bases and whatever with drones and some ballistic missiles. My
- 38:30Speaker 5: question is this. If you look at a map of
- 38:33Speaker 5: the Middle East, is it all possible that they may
- 38:36Speaker 5: be getting some supplies, help from Russia to Afghanistan or,
- 38:46Speaker 5: you know, Pakistan?
- 38:48Speaker 3: Or Turkmenistan or through the Caspian Sea?
- 38:51Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly. I mean, there's a lot of, I mean,
- 38:55Speaker 5: you know, I mean, unless we have planes up there
- 38:59Speaker 5: that are basically covering that area. to see if they're
- 39:04Speaker 5: getting equipment, you know, because they seem not to be
- 39:10Speaker 5: grinding out of equipment. Well, what do you think?
- 39:15Speaker 2: All right, quick comment.
- 39:16Speaker 3: All right, so there was a tanker that was pulled
- 39:19Speaker 3: over the other day that turned out to be full
- 39:20Speaker 3: of equipment that was being shipped in in a cargo truck,
- 39:24Speaker 3: in a truck that was supposed to be weathered.
- 39:26Speaker 2: Hold that thought. Hold that thought. Back in a minute.
- 39:29Speaker 2: Stay tuned.
- 39:33Speaker 9: If you run a business, you know how hard it
- 39:35Speaker 9: is to get your customers' attention. Yet 85% of consumers
- 39:39Speaker 9: say radio is the last thing they hear before shopping.
- 39:42Speaker 9: Let iHeartRadio help you reach your next customer today at iHeartAdvertising.com.
- 39:47Speaker 2: Looking to upgrade your home? 555-NEWS-RADIO-570-WKBN. Okay, quick answer to
- 39:52Speaker 2: that guy's comments.
- 39:55Speaker 3: Well, there's no question that they could be getting some material.
- 39:58Speaker 3: They've got a lot of border area or a lot
- 40:01Speaker 3: of ground to bring material in. There's no question they can't.
- 40:04Speaker 3: The question is how much, what volume, how sustained can
- 40:07Speaker 3: it be?
- 40:07Speaker 2: All right. I've got to take some more calls. Thank you.
- 40:12Speaker 2: You're on the air. Hello. Hello? Yes, go ahead. Yeah.
- 40:20Speaker 5: Hey, Ron.
- 40:21Speaker 4: First-time caller.
- 40:22Speaker 5: Go ahead.
- 40:22Speaker 4: Hey, I... I sit back, you know, I'm a 70-year-old
- 40:26Speaker 4: white Republican, okay, voted for Trump. I'm telling you, I
- 40:31Speaker 4: see things that just tell me the Republican Party is cooked.
- 40:36Speaker 4: And my frame of.
- 40:37Speaker 6: Reference, remember 10 years ago when.
- 40:40Speaker 4: Bernie ran under the Democratic ticket and he was ousted
- 40:45Speaker 4: by Hillary. At that point, 18 to 29-year-olds, 71% were
- 40:48Speaker 4: for Bernie. 50% of the 30 to 44-year-olds were for Bernie.
- 40:58Speaker 2: The years.
- 41:00Speaker 5: Why?
- 41:00Speaker 4: Because they weren't included in prosperity. And what has happened
- 41:03Speaker 4: since then? They're still not included. We have a K-shaped
- 41:08Speaker 4: economy where the top 20%, the people that can afford.
- 41:12Speaker 6: To invest in hard assets, their value goes up with inflation.
- 41:17Speaker 4: And the bottom 80 is sitting there worse off than
- 41:20Speaker 4: they were in uh... two thousand twenty six or two
- 41:23Speaker 4: thousand sixteen.
- 41:25Speaker 6: You know housing prices have doubled since then mortgage rates
- 41:28Speaker 6: have doubled uh..
- 41:30Speaker 4: Inflation rate has gone through the roof there's no out
- 41:33Speaker 4: here i think the republican party was cooked then they
- 41:37Speaker 4: missed the opportunity to say why do all these people
- 41:40Speaker 4: want bernie and what can we do to get that
- 41:45Speaker 4: group under our wing they did nothing you know instead
- 41:50Speaker 4: is on television surrounded by his billionaires.
- 41:53Speaker 6: He made over a couple billion.
- 41:56Speaker 4: Last year with a rug pull crypto scheme like they
- 41:59Speaker 4: have no clue what we go.
- 42:01Speaker 2: Through the rest of us go through i gotta i
- 42:05Speaker 2: gotta cut you off only because i'm running out of
- 42:06Speaker 2: time but i agree with your statements i i think
- 42:10Speaker 2: that you you are correct you call me again when
- 42:13Speaker 2: i have more time okay I think he's identifying a
- 42:17Speaker 2: huge problem that's going on out there, and it will
- 42:20Speaker 2: exacerbate as inflation goes up more. Comment?
- 42:23Speaker 3: Well, we've talked about it at length. We gave the
- 42:27Speaker 3: Republican Party a path to long-term victory, and that was
- 42:30Speaker 3: this American agenda, which would have done everything he's talking about.
- 42:33Speaker 2: And he got away from it.
- 42:36Speaker 3: No, they got away from it. Instead, they blocked it
- 42:38Speaker 3: at every turn. More tomorrow.
