Big fires in Inyo County are cooling down — the Rock Fire at 92% and Cinder Complex at 91% containment — but crews are still on high alert, doing cold trailing to snuff out every last ember. Both fires are still active in mop-up mode, with triple-digit temps and gusty winds making conditions tough. No storms in sight until midweek, which is a relief.
