- 0:47Speaker 1: Thanks to your mind from the tundra that is the
- 0:50Speaker 1: Strict School Sports Complex and Kinny Weast band Camp for
- 0:56Speaker 1: I don't even know what you want to call him anymore,
- 0:59Speaker 1: where where Thunderfoot has struck again and almost took the
- 1:05Speaker 1: camera out again.
- 1:08Speaker 2: In sports alliciedly Welcome.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Welcome, welcome, Thank you all for joining us for this
- 1:12Speaker 3: episode on January thirty.
- 1:13Speaker 4: First, twenty twenty six.
- 1:15Speaker 3: Obviously, you're gonna talk a little preview of the Super Bowl.
- 1:19Speaker 3: We'll have a pod next week, so we'll give our
- 1:21Speaker 3: picks and all that, but we'll talk a little bit.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Got some college basketball, we got some coaching college basketball.
- 1:29Speaker 2: There's nothing going on.
- 1:29Speaker 4: Oh, there's just a few things I want to discuss
- 1:32Speaker 4: on that and.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Then but no, let's get down to last week's the
- 1:35Speaker 3: championship games. Obviously, it was a perfect day for us
- 1:39Speaker 3: in Oklahoma to be watching the game since it was
- 1:41Speaker 3: snowing and snowed like crazy, so we were all watching.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Everybody was snowed in.
- 1:46Speaker 3: And then we turn around and we get the first game,
- 1:50Speaker 3: Patriots Broncos, a snow game. Now, first half looked great, sunshining.
- 1:55Speaker 3: Everybody's happy in Denver. In the second by almoll. It
- 1:59Speaker 3: was second quarter going into halftime. The wins, they say,
- 2:03Speaker 3: as they say, we're a hallin and.
- 2:05Speaker 2: The weather they change. She changed on us. So what
- 2:09Speaker 2: it was a squall of snow coming?
- 2:12Speaker 3: What made this game? Oh? I don't know. I think
- 2:15Speaker 3: it would have been a lot better if the weather
- 2:16Speaker 3: would have been better, obviously, but you know what, you
- 2:19Speaker 3: got to give credit. You know, Patriots ended up going
- 2:21Speaker 3: into Denver winning tens.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Crazy crazy thing is is that Stelldham plays very well
- 2:27Speaker 1: for a snow game.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Drake May what eighty six yards is what that?
- 2:30Speaker 3: Yeah? And I think but no, but I think when you, yeah,
- 2:33Speaker 3: bring up the box. But when you really think about it, though,
- 2:35Speaker 3: is what I think? What Well, the story that came
- 2:37Speaker 3: up with Sean Payton was greedy and should have got
- 2:39Speaker 3: more points in the first half.
- 2:40Speaker 4: Well the weather was good instead.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Of getting cute and I mean, look at the field goals,
- 2:44Speaker 3: you could have took just take him field goals win
- 2:47Speaker 3: games as well.
- 2:48Speaker 2: But what it ended up doing was getting his offensive
- 2:50Speaker 2: coordinator fired.
- 2:51Speaker 3: The guy that didn't call plays. Yes, yeah, Joe Lombardi
- 2:54Speaker 3: fired from Denver. He doesn't call plays, but he got fired.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Do you think him and McDermod might get back together.
- 3:00Speaker 3: I know mcderma is taking a year off.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Oh that's right. I'm sure he's going to do.
- 3:04Speaker 3: To the allegedly, but no, I thought he.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Was going to go to the Raiders. But yes, they
- 3:09Speaker 2: played very.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Well, especially the first half through that nice pass and
- 3:13Speaker 3: they were driving. That's why I said, I thought Denver
- 3:15Speaker 3: left points on the board in the first half, and
- 3:17Speaker 3: the weather was better and they just.
- 3:18Speaker 4: Kind of blew it.
- 3:19Speaker 3: And then you look, you watch the game in the
- 3:21Speaker 3: second half, and like Shawn said, Drake May ten to
- 3:23Speaker 3: twenty one eighty six yards.
- 3:24Speaker 4: Weather was crap.
- 3:25Speaker 3: I get it. Thirty eight carries four one hundred and
- 3:28Speaker 3: forty one yards total if you want to. And Drake
- 3:31Speaker 3: May did run well with his legs. You got to
- 3:33Speaker 3: give him credit for that.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Dude.
- 3:35Speaker 1: It's Rabel going right back into his old ways Tennessee.
- 3:38Speaker 1: But you look at that quarterback running. You look at
- 3:41Speaker 1: Denver RJ. Harvey lead back. The blocking was bad.
- 3:46Speaker 3: RJ. Harvey's not a number one back. I had him
- 3:48Speaker 3: in fantasy. I can tell you he's not. And uh correct,
- 3:51Speaker 3: And so scroll down a little bit, Shawn, see with
- 3:53Speaker 3: their total yards rushing and you got to run the
- 3:55Speaker 3: ball in games like this with the weather being bad.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Seventy nine Yeah, so twenty four k's seventy nine yards.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Well, and you've got to look at at Drake May
- 4:05Speaker 1: and his son. I mean, how many of these wide
- 4:08Speaker 1: receivers over there stand out?
- 4:09Speaker 2: I asked people.
- 4:10Speaker 1: I was like, do you know anybody besides staking Gigs?
- 4:13Speaker 1: They were like no, And I was like, see, you
- 4:15Speaker 1: don't know Key Shoan, but you don't know and you
- 4:18Speaker 1: don't know I know, but but they don't know him.
- 4:21Speaker 2: They don't know who these kids are.
- 4:23Speaker 3: No. But I mean, you think about it, even during
- 4:24Speaker 3: Brady's years besides besides the early years, I'm talking later years,
- 4:28Speaker 3: besides Randy Moss, who was the stars. You know Edelman, Edelman.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Well, and Edelman was a quarterback, and they came in Edelman, Gronkowski.
- 4:37Speaker 4: But I'm talking wide receiver Brown.
- 4:38Speaker 2: I think his name.
- 4:39Speaker 3: That's early, that was early this first I thought.
- 4:42Speaker 2: There was the guy that was drafted at the same
- 4:43Speaker 2: time as Edelman.
- 4:44Speaker 4: I thought it was the early guys.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Look who came in with Edlmand because there was a
- 4:49Speaker 1: it was a guy that lasted maybe four years.
- 4:53Speaker 2: I know they ended up.
- 4:54Speaker 3: Oh they did have Wes Welker Troy Brown.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah's you're thinking it right.
- 4:59Speaker 1: So but yeah, Wes Welker was fucking Greedyada media eyes,
- 5:05Speaker 1: that's what he was called.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Oh people thought he was a creeper.
- 5:10Speaker 3: No, but I thought that Peyton just I don't. I
- 5:13Speaker 3: thought that was one of his worst coaching And then
- 5:15Speaker 3: on the opposite side, you know, you get a couple
- 5:17Speaker 3: of fourth downs and short yardage. Yeah, they're not gonna score.
- 5:23Speaker 3: They're not gonna score, and they didn't. You know, you
- 5:26Speaker 3: you were waiting for that game to get somewhat exciting.
- 5:28Speaker 3: But god, it's almost like they were afraid to give
- 5:31Speaker 3: Stidham the ball.
- 5:32Speaker 4: Well, let him make play.
- 5:33Speaker 2: He did have two turnovers, he had lost fumble and.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Whether ship first game, you gotta get warmed up.
- 5:40Speaker 2: I understand it. I watched that Bears game.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Yeah, see Patrick, he was he was the Patriots ninety
- 5:47Speaker 3: three to two thousand and seven, So that was some
- 5:49Speaker 3: of the early stuff.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Are you talking about Wes Welker Brown Brown? Yeah, just
- 5:57Speaker 2: uh this is like Kevin Brown or something. It was,
- 6:02Speaker 2: like I said, it was, I swear it was a
- 6:03Speaker 2: guy that came in. Uh, let's see you we're gonna
- 6:08Speaker 2: go off on a tangent.
- 6:09Speaker 3: We don't need to No, not a tangent.
- 6:11Speaker 4: We don't like tangents.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Julian Edelman draft class.
- 6:15Speaker 4: I'm gonna need help with this.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Okay, hold on, let's see tangent. I'm gonna choose mm
- 6:23Speaker 3: hmmm mmmmm.
- 6:26Speaker 2: We are on a tangent now, all right? So, uh,
- 6:31Speaker 2: Patriots win? Go on? They play a normal Uh normal?
- 6:36Speaker 3: What would you say Adaman came in.
- 6:39Speaker 2: For Oh yeah, I knew he was already in before that, But.
- 6:44Speaker 3: It wasn't Brown, That's what I was saying. Not in
- 6:47Speaker 3: the same years. They ended up together for a couple
- 6:50Speaker 3: of years.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm just gonna go look at the roster real quick.
- 6:54Speaker 3: But uh maybe one year. Actually he didn't get the Patriots.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Do you do you think that offense has something in it?
- 7:03Speaker 1: He's at the commanders, say, what do you think that
- 7:05Speaker 1: offense has something in it?
- 7:06Speaker 3: What do you mean something in it?
- 7:09Speaker 1: Do you think that that Patriots offense has any sort
- 7:13Speaker 1: of firepower?
- 7:14Speaker 3: The one? Now, yes, I like Drake may.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Too, But I'm saying that Abel switched back into the No.
- 7:22Speaker 3: I think that was weather related. I think it's away
- 7:24Speaker 3: game weather related.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Doesn't have that many passing yards of the game before now.
- 7:29Speaker 4: And no it hasn't.
- 7:30Speaker 3: I mean, but look at the defenses they've played though
- 7:33Speaker 3: that they've they've played good defenses. I mean they played
- 7:36Speaker 3: the Texans.
- 7:37Speaker 4: Wasn't that the game before? Who played the Texans?
- 7:41Speaker 2: Was that the game before? We were there?
- 7:43Speaker 3: We were there, we were there?
- 7:46Speaker 4: Oh yeah, it was a Patriot.
- 7:48Speaker 3: It was a Texans twenty eight to sixteen, of course.
- 7:52Speaker 3: And the Chargers aren't bad and they held into three points.
- 7:55Speaker 3: I mean they're great obviously.
- 7:57Speaker 4: But they're not bad.
- 7:58Speaker 2: That got some people fired too.
- 8:01Speaker 4: So as he should be.
- 8:02Speaker 3: No, he sucked.
- 8:04Speaker 2: Sucks still, that's what I'm saying. But he was there.
- 8:07Speaker 3: Yeah, probably as a return favor for somebody, But no,
- 8:12Speaker 3: that was they played the Texans, so he didn't have
- 8:14Speaker 3: You're not gonna have good yards against him. I think
- 8:17Speaker 3: that the schedule that they played obviously is pretty defensive wise.
- 8:25Speaker 3: Now you go back to the offense, now, okay, you're
- 8:28Speaker 3: you're not gonna have that obviously with the Texans. I mean,
- 8:34Speaker 3: they played crap offenses, to be honest, I mean they
- 8:36Speaker 3: did so Sean's still looking up something to try to
- 8:40Speaker 3: be right, which doesn't matter. I was just there's nobody good. No,
- 8:44Speaker 3: there's really no stars. That's what I'm saying that. You know,
- 8:47Speaker 3: you look at the Patriots early one with defense, Brady
- 8:51Speaker 3: didn't have a lot of people. Round two, then you're
- 8:54Speaker 3: looking at the Edelman Show and that type of stuff.
- 8:56Speaker 3: It was more the offense, Yeah, and the defense was
- 9:00Speaker 3: kind of a no name, you know, not a lot
- 9:02Speaker 3: of you know, they didn't have the Bruce.
- 9:03Speaker 1: I just remember there was a wide receiver that Brady hated,
- 9:08Speaker 1: like he just played that whole season that he really
- 9:10Speaker 1: just did.
- 9:11Speaker 3: Not like he tried to help the guy from the
- 9:13Speaker 3: Philadelphia or from the Steelers.
- 9:15Speaker 4: What was that guy? This is later Antonio Brown.
- 9:21Speaker 3: I think he was at the Patriot or the Packers
- 9:24Speaker 3: not Packers Bucks for a minute.
- 9:26Speaker 4: Wasn't he for one year?
- 9:27Speaker 2: Yeah, he didn't make it long.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Go back down though. I want to see that coaching
- 9:30Speaker 3: staff though, we really got the two thousand and nine
- 9:32Speaker 3: Patriots staff.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Dean Peas is your defensive coordinator, Dean Peas, Pepper Johnson,
- 9:40Speaker 1: Matt Patricia, what ever happened to Pepper Johnson retired?
- 9:46Speaker 4: There's Brian Flores.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Down there too, shad On there, Brian Ferrence.
- 9:54Speaker 3: Dean. I want to say, didn't he retire after he
- 9:57Speaker 3: was at the Titans?
- 9:58Speaker 2: I could be wrong, Dean, Yeah.
- 10:01Speaker 4: I thought he was at the Titans.
- 10:05Speaker 3: That's m hmm.
- 10:07Speaker 2: I don't know. But we've gotten way of.
- 10:10Speaker 3: No, we're just we're we've got six months of doing
- 10:14Speaker 3: this way off stuff.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Tate was the guy that came in with me. Never
- 10:18Speaker 2: heard of exactly. It was Brandon Tate. So then, and
- 10:23Speaker 2: there's the box. Even the ghosts are saying stop it
- 10:28Speaker 2: and move on.
- 10:30Speaker 3: All right, so let's move on to the A. But
- 10:31Speaker 3: any otherwise, any surprises of that game? Low scoring? Weather
- 10:35Speaker 3: played a huge factor, obviously, I know it.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Was going to be low scoring. What did I pick
- 10:40Speaker 2: on that? You remember it? But I didn't have it
- 10:43Speaker 2: very high? Did I?
- 10:45Speaker 3: All right? You went.
- 10:48Speaker 4: Twenty four to seventeen.
- 10:50Speaker 2: I was already I.
- 10:51Speaker 4: Had it higher.
- 10:52Speaker 2: I already knew that it was going to be a low.
- 10:54Speaker 2: I didn't think that low.
- 10:56Speaker 3: We both had the Seahawks rang I had the Rams
- 10:59Speaker 3: winning by one.
- 11:00Speaker 1: I just pissed a lot of pissed a lot of
- 11:02Speaker 1: Americans off, a lot of football fans.
- 11:05Speaker 3: Senior Advisor Dean ps at the Ravens. If he's still there.
- 11:08Speaker 2: If you still thanks for thanks for that update that
- 11:11Speaker 2: nobody else was.
- 11:11Speaker 3: Seventeen to fifty one is a head coach though interesting
- 11:15Speaker 3: states not good. It's not good at all, all.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Right, Moving on to the next game that was held
- 11:20Speaker 1: in Seattle the Rams Seahawks. Rams rolled into Seattle with
- 11:26Speaker 1: the hot hand and Seattle with an even hotter hand.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Weird game too. In the fourth quarter, knowing he could
- 11:33Speaker 3: get anything going.
- 11:35Speaker 1: You guys are trading touchdowns in the third actually technically
- 11:39Speaker 1: into the end of the half, and you go into
- 11:42Speaker 1: the third, you're still everybody's thinking, Okay, this guy's gonna
- 11:45Speaker 1: get out of hand done and then nothing.
- 11:48Speaker 3: You know, it was watch that game and in the
- 11:51Speaker 3: light we had talked about the Rams in the last
- 11:52Speaker 3: game had five over five hundred something yards offense. You know,
- 11:55Speaker 3: Stafford throws. This is the last regular season game they had.
- 11:58Speaker 3: Stafford throws twenty two thirty five for four almost three
- 12:02Speaker 3: seventy four and three touchdowns. And then you look at
- 12:05Speaker 3: Sam Darnold twenty five to thirty six, not to out
- 12:08Speaker 3: be done, but he did them three forty six a
- 12:10Speaker 3: little lower, and but uh and three touchdowns and he
- 12:15Speaker 3: had was his rating just a smidge higher.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Point eight in point six.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Throwing percentage was a little better, but no, I thought
- 12:25Speaker 3: that what they did very well.
- 12:29Speaker 1: You can see you can see here without without charbonnet.
- 12:34Speaker 2: The rushing was was down.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Sure, and I think they wanted to stop that too.
- 12:38Speaker 3: But I think what happened is I think the defense
- 12:40Speaker 3: played really well, especially in critical locations or not locations.
- 12:43Speaker 3: Obviously it's just one location critical downs.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Uh, critic locations of the downs.
- 12:50Speaker 3: The critical times of the game is when I thought
- 12:53Speaker 3: they played well, especially at the end when I think
- 12:56Speaker 3: it was a was at the fourth down play they stopped,
- 12:59Speaker 3: and I thought, it's been a minute since. It seems
- 13:02Speaker 3: like a boy seems like forever watched that, but it has.
- 13:05Speaker 3: It's been a week almost Saturday, so I.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Know, but it feels like longer. But no, that's sad.
- 13:11Speaker 2: That was losing football.
- 13:12Speaker 4: That was a long game, bones like a very.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Long, so deep in our bones that I missed the
- 13:18Speaker 1: East West game, the Shrine game, and I missed the
- 13:21Speaker 1: Senior ball.
- 13:22Speaker 4: I didn't watch it either.
- 13:23Speaker 3: I forgot about it.
- 13:24Speaker 2: I forgot about the Shrine game. I thought they held
- 13:27Speaker 2: that a little bit.
- 13:28Speaker 4: I heard, oh you running back Jaydon not at a
- 13:31Speaker 4: heck of a game. Can we call him you running back?
- 13:34Speaker 3: Is that is that?
- 13:36Speaker 2: I don't know, I don't I don't know what you
- 13:39Speaker 2: call them right.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Now, but h Smith Jigma with one hundred and fifty
- 13:43Speaker 1: three yards of pooke one hundred and sixty five. Those
- 13:45Speaker 1: two guys are just trying to show each other up
- 13:47Speaker 1: at this point.
- 13:49Speaker 3: Oh no, I mean it was you know what, you
- 13:53Speaker 3: hope this game is as good.
- 13:57Speaker 4: As the super.
- 14:00Speaker 3: Bowl will be because it had that feeling. And obviously
- 14:04Speaker 3: their division, you know, divisions, they've already played him twice before,
- 14:08Speaker 3: each one beat each other, that type of stuff. But
- 14:11Speaker 3: you know, it's just impressive to watch Sam Darnold and
- 14:14Speaker 3: then you and then yeah, and then you look at Minnesota,
- 14:17Speaker 3: who fired the GM this last week.
- 14:19Speaker 4: I'm sure that has nothing to do.
- 14:20Speaker 2: And well, of course Sam said he wanted to stay.
- 14:23Speaker 3: And they well they offered him money. Now, don't don't
- 14:27Speaker 3: act like that, but it was very cheap.
- 14:29Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, exactly exactly.
- 14:32Speaker 1: And he spent that whole season, got them into the playoffs.
- 14:38Speaker 3: That game was three a little over three hours, and
- 14:40Speaker 3: it felt like the first a couple of quarters went
- 14:44Speaker 3: really fast.
- 14:48Speaker 4: We've got a sponsored.
- 14:50Speaker 1: We gotta get these in. You guys are just moving
- 14:51Speaker 1: too fast. I do know that Stafford waited. He searched
- 14:55Speaker 1: the entire field to find Cooper Cup.
- 14:58Speaker 2: Did you did.
- 14:59Speaker 4: You watch also that also?
- 15:01Speaker 3: Yeah? I mean and.
- 15:02Speaker 2: He he was looking and he was asking.
- 15:05Speaker 3: And the rams, you know kind of you know, sent
- 15:08Speaker 3: him packing. Did he would be better to retire?
- 15:11Speaker 2: But they did.
- 15:12Speaker 1: And it was also reported that they were low balling
- 15:16Speaker 1: his offers.
- 15:18Speaker 4: They were for other people.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Yes, they were getting teams to low balling.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Saying just offer him over the veteran veteran minimum.
- 15:28Speaker 3: Well, and I think I remember talking to you because
- 15:30Speaker 3: I did not have Seattle doing well this year. I
- 15:32Speaker 3: did not think their offense was going to do well.
- 15:34Speaker 3: I had him like six wins, seven.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Wins, and.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Let's see, I had him him at the bottom.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Uh yes, I know, we didn't have him going.
- 15:50Speaker 4: Five and twelve over here.
- 15:51Speaker 3: I had him a seven and ten, so I had
- 15:53Speaker 3: him tied.
- 15:54Speaker 1: But I just just shows you Mike McDonald and his
- 15:56Speaker 1: coaching ability.
- 15:57Speaker 4: No, I mean the defense I just did not.
- 15:59Speaker 3: I did.
- 15:59Speaker 4: I non believer in.
- 16:03Speaker 3: Darnold and but we both had the Patriots at paltry
- 16:07Speaker 3: nine and eight. But making them.
- 16:10Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 16:11Speaker 3: I don't think they made it.
- 16:11Speaker 4: I don't think they made the playoffs. She could look
- 16:13Speaker 4: at the ball. I don't think we had the.
- 16:15Speaker 3: Patriots making the playoffs in that one. But great seasons.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Let's see Denver, Baltimore, Kansas City, Cincinnati.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Yeah, no, no.
- 16:31Speaker 5: I didn't think so okay, no, no, quick, right now,
- 16:36Speaker 5: we're not gonna pick our picks for him, but we
- 16:39Speaker 5: look into the super Bowl anyway for next week.
- 16:42Speaker 3: Yes you can't.
- 16:43Speaker 4: No, I said, yes, you can't. It was a it
- 16:45Speaker 4: was a double negative.
- 16:48Speaker 3: So for four and a half right now? Is the
- 16:50Speaker 3: spread for Seattle was at five. They could open at
- 16:53Speaker 3: five and a half if I'm not mistaken. Moved to
- 16:56Speaker 3: five now, Oh, you know that they're coming with it.
- 16:58Speaker 3: According to one side I'm looking at right now, it
- 17:00Speaker 3: is four and a half over under forty five and
- 17:05Speaker 3: a half. And they're gonna be in Miami, right No,
- 17:08Speaker 3: they're in San Francisco.
- 17:10Speaker 4: Have we got a weather update on that?
- 17:12Speaker 2: It's probably rainbow's.
- 17:17Speaker 3: Rainbows and kittens and sunshiny mitten mittens.
- 17:22Speaker 2: These are a few of my favorite things.
- 17:27Speaker 1: No, but you gotta you gotta look at what Sean
- 17:29Speaker 1: McVay did with that defense what he lost. You know,
- 17:33Speaker 1: everybody thought losing Donald was gonna be this massive hit,
- 17:38Speaker 1: and they just turn around.
- 17:40Speaker 4: And Donald whatever Donald to go to the quarterback.
- 17:44Speaker 1: On the other time, he looks like he says Donald
- 17:46Speaker 1: and Donald, I'm Donald Donald.
- 17:49Speaker 4: We know Sean doesn't have too well with names.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Nope, but I mean you look at you look at
- 17:54Speaker 2: the pieces that he's had.
- 17:55Speaker 3: The turnarounds been good. I mean, they missed the playoffs
- 17:57Speaker 3: two years ago. I think they won five games, snuck
- 18:00Speaker 3: into the playoffs. Last year, I lost early and then
- 18:02Speaker 3: and then did really well. I mean went twelve and
- 18:05Speaker 3: twelve and five regular and.
- 18:07Speaker 2: I can only imagine what they would look like if
- 18:09Speaker 2: they had kept Baker on that team.
- 18:12Speaker 3: No, Stafford's done well.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Stafford has done well, but you know that he's towards
- 18:15Speaker 2: the end of the.
- 18:16Speaker 3: He comes back next year. He's got one year.
- 18:19Speaker 2: I'm hoping that he does. But it's it's possible that what's.
- 18:23Speaker 4: The odds on the Pro Bowl?
- 18:24Speaker 2: Just kidding?
- 18:26Speaker 4: Tuesday night at seven.
- 18:27Speaker 3: O'clock, your Pro Bowl. No, nobody's watching Sanders Pro Bowl quarterback,
- 18:34Speaker 3: the guy with the.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Lowest metric in the whole league, Oh wait, no, second
- 18:39Speaker 1: lowest metric.
- 18:40Speaker 3: It's like putting Bernie James on the All Star team.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Well, yeah, they want they're trying to get money. Already
- 18:45Speaker 1: said that. It's a publicity stunt. They're trying to get
- 18:48Speaker 1: people to watch flag football that nobody wants to watch.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Well, you want to, you want to do it.
- 18:53Speaker 3: Don't you kind of send them to Hawaii?
- 18:54Speaker 2: Don't you give the winners a truck for the m
- 18:57Speaker 2: v P.
- 18:58Speaker 3: Don't you kind of think and let him play like
- 19:00Speaker 3: they used to? Now I think you just get rid
- 19:02Speaker 3: of it because you're not got the best people.
- 19:05Speaker 2: I like, yeah, everybody's already moved on to the UFL.
- 19:08Speaker 3: It's not No, it's not like the All Americans Aviators
- 19:12Speaker 3: and Louisville Kings.
- 19:13Speaker 4: It's not like the All Americans for college play a game.
- 19:17Speaker 3: You know what I mean.
- 19:18Speaker 2: But that's what I've been asking for. I've been saying,
- 19:21Speaker 2: let's change it to the way that it used to be.
- 19:24Speaker 4: Well, okay, that's not gonna happen, so so not the
- 19:26Speaker 4: way that it.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Used to be.
- 19:28Speaker 1: We'll do NFL Pro Bowlers versus college All Stars. And
- 19:35Speaker 1: back in the day it was you won the championship game,
- 19:38Speaker 1: you went to play the College All Stars. So the
- 19:42Speaker 1: team that when the team that won the championship went
- 19:44Speaker 1: to play at College All Stars.
- 19:49Speaker 2: So so, but that's what I wanted to be. That's
- 19:50Speaker 2: what I really think that would be a more entertaining game.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Have have everyday people pick pick their their their college.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Don't let the coaches, don't let the talking heads do it.
- 20:02Speaker 2: Let the people do it. Let the people pick the NFL,
- 20:05Speaker 2: and let the people pick the college players. And you've
- 20:09Speaker 2: got everything sorted right there. I don't know what he's
- 20:13Speaker 2: looking at.
- 20:14Speaker 3: No, I know my point is a lot more fun.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Now.
- 20:17Speaker 3: Well, I mean you tube remember you would have your
- 20:19Speaker 3: details and the contracts about if you made the Pro Bowl.
- 20:21Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I made a bonus. And now I guarantee
- 20:24Speaker 3: you no one's good. I'd love to be one agent
- 20:26Speaker 3: to go in there and said I get a little
- 20:28Speaker 3: Pro Bowl calls, They'll like laugh you out of the room.
- 20:31Speaker 2: I think it's this guy's a six time Pro Bowl.
- 20:33Speaker 3: I think it's it's yes, so was that guy over there?
- 20:36Speaker 2: Nobody cares anymore.
- 20:38Speaker 4: No, it's it's pretty much over with as far as.
- 20:41Speaker 1: And also with all the people that are stepping out
- 20:43Speaker 1: of the Pro Bowl. So nobody's gonna put a Pro
- 20:46Speaker 1: Bowl contract.
- 20:47Speaker 2: God, what do we keep saying probo probo Pro.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Bowl stipulation in a contract anymore? Because guys are just
- 20:54Speaker 1: bowing out of it now. So, Okay, I got elected
- 20:57Speaker 1: to the Pro Bowl. I'll get that bonus, but I'm
- 20:59Speaker 1: not gonna go.
- 21:01Speaker 4: No, I get it, I get it.
- 21:03Speaker 2: You're looking at it. Kelvin Sampson just possible.
- 21:08Speaker 4: Most of replacements.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Kelvin Sampson, we'd come back.
- 21:13Speaker 3: Fuck no, he's not coming back. But Houston's got that fatimam.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Kenny's Kenny's ad d brain has moved on, So get
- 21:21Speaker 1: rid of get rid of the Pro Bowl.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Name him though. I like the naming, but call it
- 21:26Speaker 3: something else, All Stars or All America, you know, or something.
- 21:30Speaker 2: They already do that. They do already do the all protein.
- 21:32Speaker 4: There you go, So it's the all protein there you go.
- 21:34Speaker 2: They already do the all there you go. All Pro
- 21:36Speaker 2: and Pro Bowl are two different things.
- 21:37Speaker 3: Yes, you do all Pro team and that's it. Just
- 21:39Speaker 3: be done with it.
- 21:40Speaker 4: Don't play the game.
- 21:40Speaker 3: Well, we do have the.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Poopy. I just yelled at the guy for saying a
- 21:47Speaker 2: lot the other day.
- 21:49Speaker 1: We do have the awards coming up this week after
- 21:54Speaker 1: there's no NFL awards, the NFL where we find out
- 21:58Speaker 1: the m v p H Walter Walter Menton, Pain of
- 22:02Speaker 1: the Year, Walter Peyton, Man of the Year, all that
- 22:06Speaker 1: defensive Rookie of the Year, Offensive Rookie of the Year.
- 22:08Speaker 2: That's all coming up.
- 22:10Speaker 1: And I cannot remember if it is right before the
- 22:13Speaker 1: super Bowl or right after the super Bowl.
- 22:17Speaker 2: I want to say it's right.
- 22:18Speaker 3: I don't keep up with that, Bonie.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Yes you do.
- 22:21Speaker 3: Well, No I don't because I like saying who the rookie?
- 22:23Speaker 2: You can't.
- 22:24Speaker 3: You can't even get Bill Belichick in as a first.
- 22:28Speaker 3: That's fame doesn't matter. It's just bullshit.
- 22:30Speaker 2: That's totally different. Hall of fame happens at the summer Boss.
- 22:33Speaker 3: When people you gotta remember, when people pick things, there's
- 22:36Speaker 3: always a bias, unfortunately, is.
- 22:38Speaker 2: There when you pick your notes?
- 22:40Speaker 3: No, that's my nose.
- 22:41Speaker 4: We I am biased.
- 22:43Speaker 2: That's you let anybody else do it.
- 22:45Speaker 4: I wouldn't say that, but you know, I mean you do.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Let a woman so.
- 22:51Speaker 3: But no, what you look at doing is it's just
- 22:54Speaker 3: when you put I don't mind people voting on this stuff.
- 22:56Speaker 4: Don't get me wrong.
- 22:57Speaker 3: It's just I don't really. The more and more people
- 23:00Speaker 3: do dumb ship when they vote, the less and less
- 23:02Speaker 3: it becomes relevant. And to me, it's just these awards
- 23:06Speaker 3: and stuff are just less relevant.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Oh, they've become less relevant years now.
- 23:09Speaker 3: I like it for the college kids because I think
- 23:11Speaker 3: that's fun. Well it was now that they're practically the
- 23:14Speaker 3: rookies paid a doll.
- 23:15Speaker 1: We've argued about the MVP before and you know who, Oh,
- 23:20Speaker 1: this guy's gonna get it.
- 23:21Speaker 2: But does he deserve it?
- 23:23Speaker 4: That Stafford it for the NFL?
- 23:25Speaker 1: Well no, I mean Drake may still up there and
- 23:27Speaker 1: and he would be the most deserving to actually get it.
- 23:31Speaker 3: Not necessarily because Stafford's numbers are pretty paltry compared to his.
- 23:35Speaker 3: Did I use that word right?
- 23:36Speaker 4: I don't think it's paltry, did I?
- 23:38Speaker 3: It means it should means it's.
- 23:39Speaker 4: Good, they're better better.
- 23:40Speaker 2: No, you use that completely wrong.
- 23:43Speaker 3: Because I watched somebody talk about guys, not somebody I
- 23:48Speaker 3: was watching on some dumbass sports talk show and Emmanuel
- 23:52Speaker 3: Ocho holy shit, or at show or it should be
- 23:55Speaker 3: a no show. That guy is fucking horrible. Yes, did
- 24:00Speaker 3: you see his latest comment? No? But I was Sugar Sanders,
- 24:03Speaker 3: I wouldn't even listen to my head coach, Todd Mounkin, Okay,
- 24:06Speaker 3: And that sounds like the exact thing you're supposed to
- 24:08Speaker 3: tell a young guy to do when you get a
- 24:10Speaker 3: new head coach. He but anyway, it wasn't him, but
- 24:13Speaker 3: somebody has told said he's one of the he's the
- 24:17Speaker 3: antiticis of the coach that you want to play for.
- 24:22Speaker 3: And they were like, uh, antithesis means opposite, not the same.
- 24:26Speaker 2: So was he trying to say he is, like, he's
- 24:34Speaker 2: the model of a coach you want to play for.
- 24:36Speaker 4: Exactly That's what he was trying.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Does that what you sent me the other day?
- 24:40Speaker 3: That was very confused by Drake May's stats were pultry
- 24:44Speaker 3: compared to Matt stafference is what I should have said,
- 24:48Speaker 3: means smaller, meager, not as good.
- 24:51Speaker 2: I'm well aware of what paultry means.
- 24:53Speaker 3: Said that totally back. I don't know if you do
- 24:55Speaker 3: or not pry.
- 24:57Speaker 1: Trivial can be dismissive, that's the other the other sides,
- 25:04Speaker 1: I can be dismissive or look that word.
- 25:06Speaker 3: Up, trismissive to anybody that's terrast is an ass in.
- 25:10Speaker 2: My anyway, no idea. Guys.
- 25:12Speaker 1: We have gotten a congratulations to Seahawks and to the
- 25:16Speaker 1: UH Patriots.
- 25:17Speaker 2: We have a repeat of Super Bowl.
- 25:20Speaker 3: What was that?
- 25:24Speaker 4: That's transmission?
- 25:25Speaker 3: Go ahead?
- 25:26Speaker 2: No, what was the Super Bowl?
- 25:27Speaker 3: That that that?
- 25:28Speaker 1: We got a Super Bowl rematch? Which one did they
- 25:31Speaker 1: play in before? The one where Marshawn Lynch could have
- 25:33Speaker 1: walked right.
- 25:34Speaker 3: In and they did that stupid pass with us? Yeah, gosh,
- 25:38Speaker 3: I know where I was when I watched it. I
- 25:40Speaker 3: was at the Barski to you by Hilltop Bart, he'll
- 25:42Speaker 3: see Oklahoma. We have now serv.
- 25:48Speaker 4: For the wine selection.
- 25:50Speaker 2: I didn't put wine selection. That was the word I'm
- 25:52Speaker 2: trying to look for.
- 25:53Speaker 3: You put varieties.
- 25:54Speaker 4: I just made the surce spelt right.
- 25:59Speaker 2: This is we need football evolved into.
- 26:04Speaker 3: We'll be talking about U F.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Falon starting the draft is April.
- 26:07Speaker 3: Got it rowed up on the board.
- 26:09Speaker 2: No, we don't.
- 26:10Speaker 3: You just have NFL Draft out order top ten.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Oh well that's under eleven. I didn't see that. Yes,
- 26:17Speaker 2: uh so, yeah, you want to move on to that.
- 26:19Speaker 2: What do you want to we can talk about that.
- 26:22Speaker 4: I'm the only one in history sand o't pick mendos.
- 26:24Speaker 2: I number one, But whatever, I think it's pretty good.
- 26:29Speaker 3: I don't raiders.
- 26:34Speaker 2: Listen, they don't even have a coach yet.
- 26:36Speaker 3: Listen, Linda.
- 26:37Speaker 4: Oh, that's the other thing.
- 26:38Speaker 3: Kubiak is either coaching, He's going to be the raider.
- 26:42Speaker 3: Clint's gonna I think it's Clint Clark Clinton. Clint will
- 26:46Speaker 3: be the coach of either.
- 26:48Speaker 2: Oh that was that was the other big news. Seahawks
- 26:50Speaker 2: to go up for sale after the Super Bowl. Do
- 26:53Speaker 2: you have your money ready?
- 26:54Speaker 3: I'm a little sure.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Is it a safe overflow?
- 26:59Speaker 3: No? Not seven billion, billion billion?
- 27:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm very surprising.
- 27:04Speaker 3: I don't know about a perfect time to sell them, though.
- 27:07Speaker 4: It is. The money goes charity, every bit of it.
- 27:13Speaker 2: I guess if you're so rich, you don't.
- 27:14Speaker 4: Hey, that was Paul Allen money. So their kids already
- 27:17Speaker 4: got money.
- 27:17Speaker 2: I need charity.
- 27:18Speaker 3: Yeah, we're charity. Yes, send us money so we can
- 27:21Speaker 3: send the Seahawks t we can grow.
- 27:24Speaker 2: No, they're not sending them away, but send us a seven.
- 27:27Speaker 1: Billion and a billion and we will grow the podcast
- 27:32Speaker 1: and get a team here in Tulsa.
- 27:35Speaker 2: I'm not going to OKM City. I don't care. I'm
- 27:39Speaker 2: not going to com City. So we have head coaching
- 27:43Speaker 2: pills that I don't believe that we talked about.
- 27:45Speaker 4: Yeah, we can talk about those if you want to
- 27:47Speaker 4: pull those up.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Uh, but we're gonna jump to draft order completely in Kenny,
- 27:52Speaker 1: do you want to go over your little spiel and
- 27:54Speaker 1: though there's something brewing inside your head about this draft.
- 27:59Speaker 3: So far, you know, if you look at it, the
- 28:02Speaker 3: Raiders need more than a quarterback the draft next year?
- 28:07Speaker 3: Oh my god, can you get up the whole draft order?
- 28:10Speaker 3: Because I think is that the Jets have the uh
- 28:17Speaker 3: two picks.
- 28:18Speaker 4: I think they have the Colts pick for sauce.
- 28:20Speaker 3: Believe yes, So take the Jets and talk to them
- 28:26Speaker 3: and just tell them, hey, we're going to trade this
- 28:29Speaker 3: pick and we're going to take the best offer. And
- 28:32Speaker 3: we know you need a quarterback, but you know that
- 28:35Speaker 3: whoever takes our pick is picking a quarterback. So what's
- 28:39Speaker 3: your offer?
- 28:40Speaker 2: And the Jets and the first rounder of next year?
- 28:45Speaker 3: And I want something this year too. Maybe that's I've
- 28:49Speaker 3: let them. They probably won't give up all three, but
- 28:53Speaker 3: maybe you get next year's first and next year's second
- 28:56Speaker 3: or third.
- 28:56Speaker 2: So I'm just looking at swat positions.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Ah, not that you need something else, but no, I'm
- 29:01Speaker 1: saying you take next year's first round.
- 29:03Speaker 3: You definitely want that's my point. You definitely want to
- 29:05Speaker 3: take next year's first round.
- 29:07Speaker 2: But if you're just robbing positions in the first round, man.
- 29:10Speaker 3: You give him something out. You got to get the
- 29:12Speaker 3: next year's first round pick. That's my point. The draft
- 29:14Speaker 3: next year is huge for skilled players. This year is
- 29:17Speaker 3: more about interior offensive defensive line.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Sure they've got that type of stay. Sure they've got
- 29:21Speaker 2: a tight end they can't let go of. Who raiders?
- 29:26Speaker 3: Oh, if you want, I'm running bad.
- 29:29Speaker 2: I don't know what else is on that team exactly.
- 29:32Speaker 3: You need a bunch more picks. You need a bunch
- 29:35Speaker 3: more picks.
- 29:35Speaker 2: You need a whole team book picks.
- 29:38Speaker 3: But I don't think Mendoz is it.
- 29:39Speaker 2: I guess your top three picks are all quarterback needy.
- 29:43Speaker 2: I would argue that your top four picks are quarterback needy.
- 29:46Speaker 2: But everybody's still gambling on cam Ward.
- 29:50Speaker 3: Well, you don't want to give up on him yet.
- 29:52Speaker 2: I would have given up on him the day that
- 29:53Speaker 2: we drafted him.
- 29:56Speaker 1: And then at the number six pick, the Cleveland brown
- 30:00Speaker 1: are coming in quarterback Nay, even though we've got the
- 30:04Speaker 1: twins shitter send there and Dylan Gabriel that nobody wants
- 30:09Speaker 1: you trade those guys away for cash.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Cash.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Yeah, Ken, you had to write down the top ten packs,
- 30:18Speaker 1: which surprisingly Kansas City and Cincinnati. Again, Cincinnati gets beat
- 30:22Speaker 1: up by Kansas City for the the number nine pick.
- 30:27Speaker 3: Correct.
- 30:32Speaker 2: Yeah, as soon as Travis Kelcey is he retiring.
- 30:35Speaker 1: We know they need a running back. They've always needed
- 30:37Speaker 1: a running back. And it's nothing against Pacheco kids, just
- 30:42Speaker 1: injury plagued.
- 30:44Speaker 3: What do you do? Dallas has got some extra picks
- 30:48Speaker 3: from Green Bay? What do you do? The Jets have
- 30:53Speaker 3: two first rounders next year because of that Colts trade. Yeah,
- 30:59Speaker 3: I'm telling you some of the Raiders, I'm like, hey, listen,
- 31:04Speaker 3: here's what I'm thinking.
- 31:07Speaker 1: And I told you, I've already told you this is
- 31:08Speaker 1: gonna be a heavy offensive line defense draft.
- 31:13Speaker 3: Yeah, you move down to two, and then and then
- 31:15Speaker 3: you and then maybe you even trade that for some
- 31:19Speaker 3: more and just you know, just slide down to fifth, sixth, seventh.
- 31:23Speaker 2: So essentially, you.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Want to pull a uh, Jimmy Johnson, but you can't
- 31:31Speaker 1: pull a Jimmy Johnson like you used to be able to,
- 31:33Speaker 1: So now you gotta do it slightly.
- 31:36Speaker 3: Well, yeah, and you've got it, but you've got to
- 31:38Speaker 3: try to get compensation next year as well, because I
- 31:40Speaker 3: think I think the draft is just amazing and if
- 31:43Speaker 3: you maybe just want to tank one more year, then
- 31:46Speaker 3: your own pick is going to be good. And you know,
- 31:50Speaker 3: the Chiefs are better, Denver's gonna be good. Chargers are better.
- 31:54Speaker 3: With McDaniels as the OC, that team's gonna be better.
- 31:58Speaker 3: So you're still last place, so you might as well
- 32:03Speaker 3: get You're gonna have to wait one more year. You
- 32:05Speaker 3: get a draft class next year, You've got those rookies
- 32:08Speaker 3: on a third year deal then, because at second now
- 32:13Speaker 3: and then I think that's where the future lies.
- 32:17Speaker 4: And then them other teams in the conference are getting older.
- 32:20Speaker 2: Oh absolutely, a lot of you know, but what.
- 32:24Speaker 3: They'll do is they else have that Raiders Mendoza Jersey
- 32:27Speaker 3: with the number one. Everybody's gonna be high five and
- 32:28Speaker 3: the guy's gonna come out to be very average. It's
- 32:31Speaker 3: just my opinion.
- 32:31Speaker 2: Didn't I send you I send you a graphic of
- 32:36Speaker 2: hired coaches in the grades that they got. So we've
- 32:40Speaker 2: got uh, we got the bills just moving Brady up,
- 32:45Speaker 2: Joe Brady. I think that was intelligent. No, yeah, I
- 32:51Speaker 2: don't think anybody.
- 32:51Speaker 3: Give up on that pig. They couldn't get anybody big
- 32:54Speaker 3: and granted, I think Joe and I think that what
- 32:57Speaker 3: happened is Josh Allen got involved and likes Joe Brady.
- 33:00Speaker 3: I think I think they were saving face well and
- 33:03Speaker 3: then they promoted their idiot GM.
- 33:06Speaker 2: We already old bean. Well, let me see if I
- 33:12Speaker 2: can find will you see we can find that image? Should?
- 33:17Speaker 1: I said, I don't know when I'm looking through this,
- 33:21Speaker 1: I just downloaded it. Oh, here it is uh Stefanski.
- 33:26Speaker 1: So this this was uh who did this? M L
- 33:30Speaker 1: football on Twitter? They they they're more like we are
- 33:34Speaker 1: whenever they're they do their grades for coaches. Uh Stefanski
- 33:38Speaker 1: was an A plus for the Falcons. Harbaugh was an
- 33:41Speaker 1: A for the for the Giants. Mentor was a B
- 33:45Speaker 1: plus for the Ravens. Monkin was a C for the Browns.
- 33:49Speaker 1: Half Lee was a CEED for the Dolphins, Robert Salah
- 33:52Speaker 1: D for the Titans, Mike McCarthy F for the Steelers,
- 33:57Speaker 1: and Joe Brady F minus for the Bills. I can
- 34:00Speaker 1: pretty much agree.
- 34:01Speaker 2: With all of that.
- 34:02Speaker 4: I forgot by. There's also there's a Dallas conditional.
- 34:05Speaker 3: The Jets have three first round picks in twenty seven,
- 34:09Speaker 3: which is the best draft I'm back in. I'm changing
- 34:12Speaker 3: my mind. Jets, you trade down and get more draft capital.
- 34:18Speaker 3: Just go from three to five.
- 34:19Speaker 2: Forget it.
- 34:20Speaker 3: I mean you could go now and try to get
- 34:22Speaker 3: Mendoza if you think he's the future. You've got some
- 34:25Speaker 3: extra capital. And what if you give him a swap
- 34:28Speaker 3: with the Raiders, give him, give him this year, one
- 34:33Speaker 3: later and maybe one next year their own, or give
- 34:38Speaker 3: them Dallas or Indianapolis, but that probably the probably wouldn't
- 34:41Speaker 3: give up their own next year. I'm gonna if they
- 34:43Speaker 3: really want that quarter.
- 34:44Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell you right now. So this is the
- 34:47Speaker 2: this is the So what I just read off for
- 34:51Speaker 2: the grades of those coaches.
- 34:52Speaker 3: Yeah, and I'm not really missing on that shit.
- 34:53Speaker 2: This is Yahoo Sports.
- 34:55Speaker 1: Joe Brady BE, Mike McCarthy C, John Harbaugh A plus,
- 35:03Speaker 1: Jesse Mentner A minus, Stefanski A Halflee B Salah B plus.
- 35:13Speaker 2: I like, I like, I like that one.
- 35:16Speaker 3: I like Chris Parks Park.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Yes, Dallas defense, but I mean that was the head coaching,
- 35:20Speaker 1: and you see that there's a different They're not going
- 35:23Speaker 1: to grade one of those coaches as a D or
- 35:26Speaker 1: an F.
- 35:28Speaker 3: No, I get it. That's just just I mean, because
- 35:31Speaker 3: the person that's laying that out there is trying to, uh,
- 35:35Speaker 3: let's do our grades next week, right, No, week after,
- 35:39Speaker 3: we'll do our coaching grades.
- 35:40Speaker 2: We already did.
- 35:41Speaker 4: No, we didn't do fs and no, I mean, well,
- 35:44Speaker 4: I give, I give, well, I didn't do mine. Well,
- 35:47Speaker 4: we'll do our fish one.
- 35:48Speaker 3: It will post it after year one to see how
- 35:52Speaker 3: close they are, because I just I don't get that.
- 35:55Speaker 3: Joe Brady's got a more talented team.
- 35:57Speaker 4: It's going to look better next year.
- 35:59Speaker 1: Here's a quizicaliring of Drew Petside.
- 36:03Speaker 2: I still don't get that. Was there something that we
- 36:06Speaker 2: didn't see?
- 36:08Speaker 3: Well, he was he was a guy that used to
- 36:10Speaker 3: coach with really good I don't think it's a horrible higher.
- 36:15Speaker 4: I just I mean, everyone's flipping.
- 36:17Speaker 2: Out of that. Vaney went back to Kansas City.
- 36:20Speaker 3: Yeah, let's talk about that. I had that wrote down.
- 36:22Speaker 3: Since we're on football talk. What's the weird shit about Robinson?
- 36:30Speaker 3: That's a quarterback thing. And we'll see if Zach Robinson's
- 36:33Speaker 3: got the chops for this play calling, because quarterback was
- 36:36Speaker 3: pretty average for the the them last year and the
- 36:41Speaker 3: Falcons and you have to think Kirk Cousins. His rumor
- 36:45Speaker 3: has it he's going to be released, already has been released,
- 36:47Speaker 3: So he's going to be a free agent, you know,
- 36:50Speaker 3: perfect at see it's the end of that weird contract.
- 36:53Speaker 3: They can get rid of.
- 36:54Speaker 4: Him for some cheap money or something.
- 36:55Speaker 3: Hello, Raiders, just by a year with him or the Jets.
- 36:59Speaker 3: I'm just in and it wouldn't work those trades.
- 37:03Speaker 2: Does doesn't sound like it would hurt.
- 37:05Speaker 3: But anyway, I was getting back to the Naggy deal.
- 37:07Speaker 3: Just a classic no. I mean, Naggi interviewed for end
- 37:10Speaker 3: coaching jobs. I really think the Chiefs thought he might
- 37:13Speaker 3: get one. Well no, and then if he didn't, then
- 37:16Speaker 3: his contract was finished.
- 37:18Speaker 2: There was something that was going on before that.
- 37:20Speaker 1: There were players that were grumbling about Naggi and his call,
- 37:23Speaker 1: his play calling in the way that he was. I'm
- 37:25Speaker 1: guessing that after he came back from that bear stint,
- 37:28Speaker 1: he didn't learn a goddamn thing.
- 37:31Speaker 2: Well, I mean, you know, player interaction and you know.
- 37:35Speaker 3: But it's not like I mean, Mahomes is obviously hurt
- 37:38Speaker 3: a lot of injuries. They're old, they're not got a
- 37:40Speaker 3: good line. Naggy coming back that was not the downfall
- 37:43Speaker 3: for the Chiefs.
- 37:44Speaker 2: I understand that, but they were they were saying that
- 37:47Speaker 2: the way that he was his.
- 37:48Speaker 1: Person, and then of course we were always asked about
- 37:53Speaker 1: the enemy and why he always bounced around and wasn't
- 37:55Speaker 1: given a head coaching spot.
- 37:58Speaker 3: I think I think he just I don't know really
- 38:01Speaker 3: what the reasoning behind that is, but I know he's
- 38:03Speaker 3: a run game court and running backs coach and run
- 38:05Speaker 3: game coordinator last year at the Bears, and that was
- 38:07Speaker 3: what that part of that team was their best. That
- 38:11Speaker 3: was the best part of their team, is what I
- 38:12Speaker 3: was getting ready to say most improved. They had a high,
- 38:14Speaker 3: very high.
- 38:16Speaker 6: Up It was, yes, exactly seventh round running back, but
- 38:23Speaker 6: it helped. They improved their line though, too.
- 38:26Speaker 1: Magnaniang guy, Zach Robinson, your guy, Jonathan Gannons.
- 38:36Speaker 2: I like that.
- 38:37Speaker 3: I like that.
- 38:38Speaker 4: I like that higher I liked I thought that was good.
- 38:41Speaker 2: Fails upwards.
- 38:43Speaker 4: Yeah, b plus.
- 38:44Speaker 3: Sean Manon looks like a good hire never been a
- 38:48Speaker 3: coordinator himself. It's it is.
- 38:51Speaker 2: It's very very much a gamble not be worse than
- 38:55Speaker 2: what it is.
- 38:56Speaker 3: So what about Declan Doyle, young guy from Ben Johnson.
- 39:01Speaker 3: It's a lateral move but it's a staph improvement because
- 39:05Speaker 3: you get to call plays where you didn't there. That's
- 39:06Speaker 3: why they can take you because there's some weird rule
- 39:10Speaker 3: about that or something. So oh she said something about
- 39:16Speaker 3: liking skydiving, and he's like, I like skydiving, or all
- 39:19Speaker 3: goes skydiving. Anyway, Jim Leonard hired his defensive coordinator for
- 39:23Speaker 3: Baltimore or not Baltimore for Buffalo was really good. I
- 39:26Speaker 3: thought that was a good high.
- 39:27Speaker 2: We did talk about the old guy who that you
- 39:31Speaker 2: guys hired from the Steelers.
- 39:33Speaker 4: Yes, yes, the special teams coach love it and uh.
- 39:37Speaker 2: Oh it's gonna be a fun time in Pittsburgh next season.
- 39:41Speaker 4: You know, I think that that's not a bad hire.
- 39:45Speaker 2: Why he's done?
- 39:47Speaker 3: I mean, have they have they hired a defensive coordinator
- 39:49Speaker 3: yet nothing unaware? Hey, Jim Schwartz would be a perfect
- 39:53Speaker 3: fit there.
- 39:53Speaker 2: You think Jim Schwartz is gonna stay with the Browns.
- 39:55Speaker 3: But they do talk about to Mount That's why it's
- 40:00Speaker 3: his pissed. I was gonna ask, did you not pay
- 40:02Speaker 3: attention to any of that drama because it was like
- 40:05Speaker 3: Shillhouse Sworts Mounkin Now Munkin's never been a head coach
- 40:10Speaker 3: at the NFL level. He has at college, but he's
- 40:12Speaker 3: never been at the head coach at the NFL level.
- 40:14Speaker 3: So rumor has it that h R has it that
- 40:21Speaker 3: owner wanted Sworts, GM and some sort of little task force.
- 40:25Speaker 3: They had wanted Silhouse from the RAMS, which I mean,
- 40:30Speaker 3: come on, I mean, just because he's at the RAMS
- 40:32Speaker 3: doesn't make him super genius, but he does have it
- 40:37Speaker 3: looks like a good upside, what everybody says. So they
- 40:40Speaker 3: wanted him, and then I think they just settled on Monkin.
- 40:42Speaker 3: It was like a settlement deal. And they have Swartz
- 40:45Speaker 3: under contract for another and he's with the seventy six ers.
- 40:51Speaker 3: By the way, Paul George, Oh oh, I looked up
- 40:54Speaker 3: Chris Paul. Yes, anyway, they've got he's got a year
- 40:59Speaker 3: left on his contract. But I mean, you let him
- 41:01Speaker 3: go because he's not gonna want to coach there.
- 41:03Speaker 4: He just got snubbed for the head coaching job.
- 41:06Speaker 2: Hey, good news is spring ball starting?
- 41:08Speaker 3: Is that good news?
- 41:10Speaker 4: Dodgers went it all next?
- 41:13Speaker 2: Did you can you just I was looking?
- 41:16Speaker 3: So I was looking and you're improving yourself well time
- 41:19Speaker 3: management stuff?
- 41:20Speaker 2: Hold up? I was I was looking at but in
- 41:23Speaker 2: the end, it's boring.
- 41:24Speaker 1: I was looking at the the the free agency and
- 41:29Speaker 1: everything that went on up until I want to.
- 41:32Speaker 2: Say, last week, I saw nothing out of your guardians.
- 41:37Speaker 3: Oh no, we're quietly just building out. Yeah we signed
- 41:39Speaker 3: uh last week? Yeah that was Oh.
- 41:43Speaker 2: Yeah, when everything's going down.
- 41:47Speaker 4: Now we're plucking the farm.
- 41:48Speaker 3: That's it.
- 41:49Speaker 4: Pull out the farm boys, that's it.
- 41:53Speaker 3: So anything else.
- 41:54Speaker 2: I was going to ask you, we're gonna do our
- 41:56Speaker 2: way too early, real quick.
- 41:59Speaker 1: As champion football next year, who's in the championship and Miami.
- 42:08Speaker 3: Georgia Tech lost their quarterback. I'm gonna go God, that's
- 42:12Speaker 3: so early. Yeah, that did it. I'd have to research
- 42:20Speaker 3: whose quarterback and who I was gonna s mu? I
- 42:24Speaker 3: would I think their quarterback comes back. Let's go s
- 42:28Speaker 3: m U.
- 42:28Speaker 4: I'll go s m U. Miami will be my pace.
- 42:31Speaker 2: You're gonna pick Miami as your winner since they took Manson.
- 42:35Speaker 3: Yes, yes, Mansa is theirs, So now they're not gonna
- 42:40Speaker 3: be as good. I think the ACC is down again
- 42:42Speaker 3: this year or this year next year?
- 42:45Speaker 2: Sorry? All right, who is your big twelve? Two teams?
- 42:52Speaker 3: And b y you repeat, I'm gonna take Utah possible yes,
- 42:58Speaker 3: and you're but you're well old he was.
- 43:00Speaker 2: He was already been there.
- 43:01Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, but I mean new head coach.
- 43:04Speaker 2: And who you going for the title?
- 43:06Speaker 3: Tech much improved os U Cowboys though, there gonna be
- 43:13Speaker 3: the other team scull up so I can see who
- 43:16Speaker 3: was there.
- 43:17Speaker 2: Remember they've lost all their coaches, you know.
- 43:21Speaker 3: East Carolina surprised me. I'm gonna go Bulls and yes,
- 43:29Speaker 3: they lost their coach. Heartline came from Ohio State. I
- 43:32Speaker 3: really like him, great recruiter. I'm gonna go Bulls and
- 43:37Speaker 3: I'm gonna go. A bounce back year for the U
- 43:39Speaker 3: t s A Roadrunners.
- 43:42Speaker 2: Oh you think they're coming out? Okay, who wins it?
- 43:45Speaker 3: I like the Bulls, South for it with a possible
- 43:49Speaker 3: East Carolina. I thought they did a really good job
- 43:51Speaker 3: this year.
- 43:51Speaker 2: Did they really different?
- 43:54Speaker 3: Did the coach.
- 43:55Speaker 2: Let's take Yeah? I believe that he did all right?
- 43:59Speaker 2: Big ten? That's gonna be hard.
- 44:05Speaker 3: Is this where I say Indiana goes back to six
- 44:06Speaker 3: and six?
- 44:08Speaker 4: No, they won't, but they won't be there.
- 44:11Speaker 1: I like.
- 44:14Speaker 3: I'm missing they go to him, so maybe I'm I'm
- 44:18Speaker 3: gonna go obviously Ohio State.
- 44:23Speaker 4: And Dante Moore comes back.
- 44:25Speaker 3: I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go Ducks in Ohio State. Yeah,
- 44:28Speaker 3: with a very very possibility of Michigan sneaking in.
- 44:32Speaker 2: I thought about that too.
- 44:34Speaker 3: Like the coaching change, I think they're not I think
- 44:36Speaker 3: they're gonna be better. They're gonna be more He's invigorated,
- 44:40Speaker 3: and I think they're gonna be more disciplined. I was
- 44:42Speaker 3: still up there as well, Yeah, but never good enough
- 44:45Speaker 3: to get there. Always the bride maid.
- 44:47Speaker 2: Who's the winning championship Ohio State? Yeah, I took you,
- 44:51Speaker 2: I took I U O s U.
- 44:52Speaker 3: And I think you has the you took Indiana back
- 44:55Speaker 3: to this.
- 44:55Speaker 1: Yeah, and I'm gonna I'm going to Ohio State as
- 44:57Speaker 1: the advantage of it, Okay, to win the to win
- 45:00Speaker 1: the Big Ten. All right, here's the SEC. This is
- 45:02Speaker 1: the big This is the one that I really struggled
- 45:04Speaker 1: with thinking about. I was like, now, I've seen the
- 45:08Speaker 1: schedules of two teams. I don't know if you have
- 45:11Speaker 1: two conferences. I don't know if you have.
- 45:13Speaker 2: I've seen the Big Ten and I've seen the the
- 45:16Speaker 2: ACC schedule.
- 45:17Speaker 4: There's one schedule I'd like to look at real quick before.
- 45:20Speaker 2: Yes, I don't think the SEC is out yet yeah,
- 45:27Speaker 2: so who do you got? Hold on, who do you?
- 45:31Speaker 3: I'm not Texas for one TEXI are you putting Texas.
- 45:35Speaker 2: In the championship?
- 45:35Speaker 5: I am?
- 45:36Speaker 2: I am what a loser?
- 45:38Speaker 4: Schedules fairly soft.
- 45:40Speaker 1: Again, Boy, what do we keep giving Texas fucking sweet
- 45:46Speaker 1: talks here?
- 45:48Speaker 2: You can't be you can't be bound down Florida this year.
- 45:51Speaker 4: But put A and M there as well.
- 45:55Speaker 2: Aren't going to play each other right at the end
- 45:56Speaker 2: of the season.
- 45:57Speaker 4: I know, and I think it's going to be a rematch.
- 45:59Speaker 3: Hold on, just a second, hold on, I have already
- 46:01Speaker 3: written it down.
- 46:01Speaker 4: Now, hold on, I gotta look at one more.
- 46:05Speaker 3: You know, Texas, A and M schedule out South Carolina
- 46:07Speaker 3: at Oklahoma's gonna be tough. They played Texas, but they
- 46:09Speaker 3: got them at home and at Alabama. But the rest
- 46:12Speaker 3: just looks the cakewalk LUs who's obviously gonna be better.
- 46:15Speaker 4: Take take A and M off that. I mean, let's
- 46:22Speaker 4: go look.
- 46:23Speaker 3: At one more and let's see what pretty little Georgia
- 46:32Speaker 3: Texas I'll beat my pick and you've got Oklahoma's at home.
- 46:38Speaker 3: They go to Alabama, they go to Old Miss, They're
- 46:40Speaker 3: gonna be down. They go to South Carolina they're not
- 46:42Speaker 3: any good all their tough games. I mean Georgia wins.
- 46:49Speaker 2: Okay, so we both picked we just picked two different teams.
- 46:52Speaker 3: But I picked A and M. Did you and who Georgia?
- 46:58Speaker 3: And then picked Georgia to win.
- 46:59Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 47:00Speaker 3: I like it.
- 47:01Speaker 2: So we really only disagreed on the.
- 47:03Speaker 4: I liked A and M and Navy was close to
- 47:06Speaker 4: but I said maybe ECU.
- 47:07Speaker 2: So yeah, but I think Navy's bringing everybody back.
- 47:10Speaker 4: That's generally what they do.
- 47:12Speaker 2: So you can't you can't war colonels all right, anything else?
- 47:20Speaker 3: Uh No, I think, well, yeah we can.
- 47:22Speaker 2: We can move on. But yeah, n C double A.
- 47:25Speaker 1: Another basketball kid is trying to come back after playing
- 47:29Speaker 1: in the G League.
- 47:31Speaker 2: I forgot who the guy's name was.
- 47:33Speaker 1: I know, I know you're talking about he he he's
- 47:35Speaker 1: now getting a lawyer to try to come back. He
- 47:38Speaker 1: played ten games in the NBA and this was after
- 47:41Speaker 1: they allowed the two way contract of the Alabama kid.
- 47:47Speaker 2: And basketball.
- 47:47Speaker 4: And it looks like Heineke's out. He didn't get his
- 47:50Speaker 4: last year.
- 47:50Speaker 3: Well I'm just but some kids are getting.
- 47:53Speaker 4: Seventh and eight years. I don't understand whatever.
- 47:55Speaker 2: We're right, But.
- 48:00Speaker 3: What we talked about is you talked about back he
- 48:03Speaker 3: didn't go class this whole year. So what are we doing?
- 48:07Speaker 3: I mean, in college is a business. Now, it's not
- 48:09Speaker 3: really school if you're not going to school, if you graduated.
- 48:11Speaker 2: Well, the problem is is it is still a school,
- 48:13Speaker 2: but it's a school for those that aren't in sports
- 48:17Speaker 2: or athletics.
- 48:19Speaker 3: Agreed there, but the money is being funneled and those kids.
- 48:22Speaker 3: But the kids that aren't in school can play sports
- 48:25Speaker 3: for their school and make money for their school. I
- 48:28Speaker 3: don't I don't know.
- 48:29Speaker 4: Something's gonna have to change with that.
- 48:30Speaker 2: Unfortunately, super Bowl next week? What super Bowl next week? Yes?
- 48:36Speaker 2: What else do we have?
- 48:37Speaker 4: Just wanted to touch real quick?
- 48:38Speaker 2: Oh you know?
- 48:39Speaker 4: Oh you with another horrible loss? Check out women?
- 48:42Speaker 3: Oh you women?
- 48:43Speaker 4: We talked about we talked about women's basketball Big One tomorrow.
- 48:49Speaker 3: I think, yes, Oklahoma at Texas two o'clock tomorrow. This
- 48:54Speaker 3: is coming off of a beatdown of A and M
- 48:57Speaker 3: and then obviously the upset of number two South Carolina
- 49:00Speaker 3: in the Oklahoma Girls. Keep the momentum going. Texas is
- 49:03Speaker 3: a tough team, only two losses on the year. Then
- 49:06Speaker 3: after that they've got fifth rank Vanderbilt Florida. I mean
- 49:09Speaker 3: the list goes on and on. SEC women's basketball by
- 49:12Speaker 3: far is the best, more than any other conference. But
- 49:16Speaker 3: enjoy them.
- 49:16Speaker 4: They're really good team.
- 49:17Speaker 3: All right, that's it. Thanks for joining us. We'll catch
- 49:19Speaker 3: you next week.
- 49:20Speaker 4: Big Super Bowl preview. I'm picking the Seahawks.
- 49:23Speaker 3: Just let you know. See you next week.
- 49:26Speaker 2: Bye bye,
