Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. Any talk of Ghislaine Maxwell getting a pardon
• 0:10
Speaker 1: is absolute nonsense. If anybody ever deserved to be in prison,
• 0:16
Speaker 1: it's Ghislaine Maxwell. And I can't even believe that we
• 0:20
Speaker 1: have to have this conversation. Have we forgotten what Ghislaine
• 0:25
Speaker 1: Maxwell was found guilty of? Now, I shouldn't be shocked.
• 0:30
Speaker 1: That there's a lot of people who have just shown
• 0:32
Speaker 1: up to the party. Talking a bunch of nonsense. But
• 0:35
Speaker 1: the truth is. Anybody that followed the trial. Anybody that
• 0:39
Speaker 1: followed the lead up. And certainly anybody. Who has listened
• 0:43
Speaker 1: to the survivors knows. That Ghislaine Maxwell. Is as much
• 0:47
Speaker 1: of a monster. As Jeffrey Epstein ever was. At least
• 0:51
Speaker 1: when it comes to. Proclivities. This woman. Was willing to
• 0:56
Speaker 1: use her womanhood. To lure little girls. into the belly
• 1:00
Speaker 1: of the beast. So anybody talking about Ghislaine Maxwell getting
• 1:04
Speaker 1: a pardon should do everybody a favor and shut all
• 1:08
Speaker 1: the way up. Today we have an article from the
• 1:11
Speaker 1: Metro and the headline, Andy Burnham needs to tell Trump
• 1:15
Speaker 1: not to pardon my groomer, Ghislaine Maxwell. This article was
• 1:19
Speaker 1: authored by Luke Allsford. Lara Bloom McGee, who said she
• 1:25
Speaker 1: was groomed by Maxwell, age 20, has urged the new
• 1:29
Speaker 1: prime minister to make it clear. Epstein's former girlfriend should
• 1:32
Speaker 1: stay behind bars. And what does it say about the
• 1:35
Speaker 1: president of the United States that anybody would have to
• 1:38
Speaker 1: convince him of that? That should just be a foregone conclusion, right?
• 1:43
Speaker 1: We're not giving this psychopath any kind of pardon. What
• 1:45
Speaker 1: are you, crazy? But here we are, talking about nonsense,
• 1:49
Speaker 1: talking about giving her a pardon. Now look, I'm not
• 1:53
Speaker 1: saying that that's going to happen for sure. One of
• 1:56
Speaker 1: my biggest problems is that we're having the conversation at all.
• 1:59
Speaker 1: She's exhausted every avenue when it comes to an appeal.
• 2:04
Speaker 1: But all of a sudden, she's going to get a pardon?
• 2:07
Speaker 1: Every court in the land says that she should stay
• 2:10
Speaker 1: in prison, but somehow she deserves clemency from the White House?
• 2:15
Speaker 1: Somebody make that make sense. Lawyer Spencer Coven, who has
• 2:19
Speaker 1: represented nine Epstein victims, said Burnham has a voice. over
• 2:24
Speaker 1: a feared pardon of Maxwell, who was a British citizen.
• 2:27
Speaker 1: Trump has not ruled out granting clemency to the former socialite,
• 2:31
Speaker 1: who was sentenced to 20 years in prison on child
• 2:34
Speaker 1: sex trafficking charges in 2022. Remember all that talk from
• 2:39
Speaker 1: all these people that call this a hoax now? About
• 2:42
Speaker 1: kids being trafficked in Wayfair? About Isaac Cappy? About Frazzle Drip?
• 2:48
Speaker 1: About all this other nonsense that was completely and utterly
• 2:52
Speaker 1: made up? But when they're confronted by real evil, by
• 2:55
Speaker 1: a real monster, who's being protected by their team, all
• 2:58
  Speaker 1: of a sudden it's nuanced? All of a sudden it's
• 3:01
Speaker 1: a hoax? Yeah, sorry. Nobody buys it. Many survivors are
• 3:05
Speaker 1: outraged at Trump's new U.S. Attorney General, Todd Blanch, who
• 3:09
Speaker 1: was responsible for moving Maxwell to a minimum security prison
• 3:13
Speaker 1: shortly after meeting her last year. No basis for it.
• 3:17
Speaker 1: No reason for it. Just did it. And nobody's up
• 3:20
Speaker 1: in arms? Nobody's demanding that Todd Blanche be brought in
• 3:24
Speaker 1: for questioning? Oh, that's right. Because even if he's brought in,
• 3:29
Speaker 1: the clown show that makes up the Congress and the Senate,
• 3:32
Speaker 1: they're just going to give him a pass anyway. Got
• 3:35
Speaker 1: to make sure their God Emperor is hooked up, right?
• 3:41
Speaker 1: One of those who railed against Blanche's confirmation last week
• 3:44
Speaker 1: was McGee, who was just 20 when she met Maxwell
• 3:47
Speaker 1: at New York Fashion Week in 2000. So what'll happen
• 3:51
Speaker 1: now is people will say, what, she was 20? How
• 3:53
Speaker 1: could she get abused? As if grown-ass adults can't be abused.
• 3:59
Speaker 1: McGee told Metro a pardon for Maxwell would not only
• 4:01
Speaker 1: be a travesty of justice, but a devastating message to
• 4:04
Speaker 1: survivors everywhere. We cannot allow this. We will not allow this. Look,
• 4:10
Speaker 1: I agree. It's unacceptable, and it should not be allowed.
• 4:16
Speaker 1: And anybody who backs the idea? I consider them an enabler,
• 4:22
Speaker 1: and somebody that should be looked into as well. As
• 4:28
Speaker 1: well as being British, Maxwell's victims were also groomed and
• 4:31
Speaker 1: abused at her residence in London, according to the US
• 4:34
Speaker 1: Department of Justice. Asked what her message would be to
• 4:39
Speaker 1: the UK's new Prime Minister, McGee said, Prime Minister Burnham,
• 4:42
Speaker 1: stand with us. Use your influence to ensure that the
• 4:45
Speaker 1: UK is a beacon of justice, not a sanctuary for
• 4:48
Speaker 1: those who exploit and abuse. make it clear to President
• 4:52
Speaker 1: Trump and the world that pardoning Ghislaine Maxwell would be
• 4:55
Speaker 1: a grave injustice that Britain will not tolerate. What they
• 4:59
Speaker 1: should do is open a case against Maxwell and try
• 5:02
Speaker 1: her over there as well. Pretty simple, right? That way,
• 5:07
Speaker 1: if she gets pardoned, she can't go back to the UK.
• 5:11
Speaker 1: She'll go to prison. And frankly, if New York was
• 5:15
Speaker 1: worth their weight in salt, they'd already have a dual
• 5:18
Speaker 1: sovereignty case opened on Ghislaine Maxwell. But the unfortunate truth is,
• 5:22
Speaker 1: the vast majority of people who say they care, don't.
• 5:26
Speaker 1: Burnham has agreed to meet Epstein victims, but is not
• 5:29
Speaker 1: considering holding a public inquiry into the pedophile's UK activities.
• 5:34
Speaker 1: Downing Street confirmed this month. Coven, who represented Epstein victims
• 5:39
Speaker 1: since 2006, called on the PM to support an independent
• 5:43
Speaker 1: statutory inquiry into Epstein and say publicly, if credible evidence exists,
• 5:48
Speaker 1: that anyone participated in in the financier's crimes. The attorney
• 5:52
Speaker 1: added that the survivors are extremely concerned by talk Maxwell
• 5:56
Speaker 1: could be pardoned after her lawyer said she would only
• 5:59
Speaker 1: cooperate with investigations into Epstein's crimes if granted clemency. She
• 6:04
Speaker 1: has nothing left to give. How many times do I
• 6:06
Speaker 1: have to say it? She's burned as a witness. Can
• 6:11
Speaker 1: you imagine Mark Agnifilo or Tenny Garagos getting their hands
• 6:17
Speaker 1: on Maxwell on the stand? Because that's the kind of
• 6:19
Speaker 1: lawyer she'd be dealing with. What, if she named somebody? Like,
• 6:23
Speaker 1: I don't know, Leon Black? You don't think Leon Black
• 6:26
Speaker 1: would show up to court with lawyers that are looking
• 6:28
Speaker 1: to eat Maxwell up? Queen perjury herself? Come on, man.
• 6:34
Speaker 1: Stop bullshitting around. There's a lot of people that have
• 6:37
Speaker 1: no idea what they're talking about who really love to
• 6:40
Speaker 1: hear themselves talk. Coven told Metro, victims should never be
• 6:45
Speaker 1: placed in the position of wondering whether the person convicted
• 6:48
Speaker 1: of helping... facilitate their abuse might be freed because she
• 6:52
Speaker 1: has information that powerful people want. That would send a
• 6:55
Speaker 1: terrible message to trafficking survivors everywhere. As to whether Burnham
• 7:00
Speaker 1: could persuade Trump not to pardon Maxwell, the lawyer said,
• 7:04
  Speaker 1: Britain absolutely has a voice. I don't think they'd be
• 7:07
Speaker 1: able to convince Trump of anything. We all know that
• 7:11
Speaker 1: Donald Trump's going to do whatever he wants to do.
• 7:14
Speaker 1: He doesn't give a damn what allies think, what you think,
• 7:17
Speaker 1: what I think. Hell, what his base thinks. The man's
• 7:21
Speaker 1: going to do whatever he wants to do. And it's
• 7:24
Speaker 1: not like he's running for office ever again, he added.
• 7:27
Speaker 1: I would encourage Prime Minister Burnham and his government to
• 7:30
Speaker 1: communicate directly to President Trump that clemency for Maxwell would
• 7:34
Speaker 1: have consequences far beyond American politics. Like, that sounds great,
• 7:39
Speaker 1: but I don't know what kind of leverage they have.
• 7:42
Speaker 1: What could the UK use as leverage against Trump? I
• 7:45
Speaker 1: don't think there's much. Coven continued, the Prime Minister could
• 7:50
Speaker 1: say publicly and privately that Britain believes Maxwell should serve
• 7:53
Speaker 1: the sentence imposed upon her. Well, that would be cool.
• 7:56
Speaker 1: That would be nice. I don't think they're going to.
• 8:00
Speaker 1: The lawyer said that there are still questions British institutions
• 8:03
Speaker 1: have to answer about how Epstein was able to operate
• 8:06
Speaker 1: for so long in plain sight, while surrounded by some
• 8:10
Speaker 1: of the most powerful people in the world. And it's
• 8:13
Speaker 1: really a question that has to be asked no matter
• 8:16
Speaker 1: where Epstein was. whether it's the UK, whether it's France,
• 8:20
Speaker 1: whether it's Eastern Europe, whether it's America, wherever this man was,
• 8:25
Speaker 1: a trail of tears followed. And it's not even up
• 8:28
Speaker 1: for debate. Like you can debate the trafficking portion of it,
• 8:34
Speaker 1: like how vast that was, how many people were involved.
• 8:38
Speaker 1: Because as I've always told you, it wasn't like this
• 8:41
Speaker 1: gigantic club where girls were being trafficked all over the
• 8:44
Speaker 1: world to a whole bunch of different people. It was
• 8:48
Speaker 1: select company and only very few people that were close
• 8:52
Speaker 1: to Epstein or that Epstein was trying to bring into
• 8:55
Speaker 1: the fold were provided with that quote unquote benefit. And
• 9:01
Speaker 1: that's what Jeffrey Epstein was up to. It wasn't a
• 9:03
Speaker 1: Heidi Fleiss cat house where he's selling girls on back
• 9:07
Speaker 1: page and having them go walk the blade. That was
• 9:10
Speaker 1: never what he was doing. And there's a lot of
• 9:12
Speaker 1: people that still don't understand exactly what was going down.
• 9:17
Speaker 1: The Senate unanimously passed a resolution last month declaring its
• 9:21
Speaker 1: opposition to any presidential pardon for Maxwell, who has repeatedly
• 9:24
Speaker 1: denied all wrongdoing. Yeah, well, every single court in the land,
• 9:29
Speaker 1: including the Court of Public Opinion, has told Glenn Maxwell,
• 9:33
Speaker 1: we don't want to hear from her anymore. Shut up,
• 9:35
Speaker 1: do your sentence, and then disappear. Because nobody wants to
• 9:39
Speaker 1: hear your yapper. Senator Jackie Rosen, a Democrat of Nevada,
• 9:45
Speaker 1: said at the time, It's frankly horrifying that Trump would
• 9:48
Speaker 1: entertain the idea of clemency for even a second for
• 9:51
Speaker 1: a convicted sex trafficker. Look, I'm not a big fan
• 9:54
Speaker 1: of Jackie Rosen. I live in Nevada. Not exactly what
• 9:58
Speaker 1: I would call a great representative. but she's not wrong
• 10:00
Speaker 1: here even the thought of giving Ghislaine Maxwell a pardon
• 10:06
Speaker 1: is despicable never mind going through with it a government
• 10:12
Speaker 1: spokesperson said our thoughts are firmly with the victims of
• 10:16
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein who have suffered devastating trauma And it is
• 10:20
Speaker 1: right that Ghislaine Maxwell has been handed out a 20-year
• 10:23
Speaker 1: prison sentence for her role. The prime minister is committed
• 10:27
Speaker 1: to meeting with victims. We're looking at all options to
• 10:30
Speaker 1: support them. Well, that's great. But how about we put
• 10:33
Speaker 1: a little walk behind the talk? Because that's what we need, right?
• 10:37
Speaker 1: We need people that are going to stand on business
• 10:40
Speaker 1: and people that aren't scared to dig into the deep
• 10:43
Speaker 1: corners and go into the shadows because that's where the
• 10:47
Speaker 1: story is. Is the British government going to be that
• 10:51
Speaker 1: group of people? I have my doubts, but like usual,
• 10:55
Speaker 1: we'll be here every step of the way following along.
• 10:58
Speaker 1: And when there's some new information to share, we'll get
• 11:01
Speaker 1: it added to the catalog. Until then, that's going to
• 11:04
Speaker 1: do it for this one. All the information that goes
• 11:06
Speaker 1: with this episode can be found in the description box.
