A peaceful school bus stop in Mahwah spiraled into chaos when a landscaper and his 78-year-old wife were violently attacked by a stranger over a parking spot. After the bus left, the suspect tracked them down, assaulted the woman, and then brutally attacked the elderly husband—strangling him and kicking him—before turning his rage on her. The 45-year-old suspect, who turned himself in that night, now faces charges for aggravated assault and simple assault. A moment of routine turned deadly.
