- 0:25Speaker 1: fifteen minutes. He is in San Antonio for the NBA Finals,
- 0:28Speaker 1: A big game too tonight. Mikey, what do I do here?
- 0:32Speaker 1: With a text I received from Taylor. He's in New York.
- 0:34Speaker 1: He's not here the games being played in San Antonio.
- 0:37Speaker 1: He wants to be in New York. He wants to
- 0:39Speaker 1: feel the buzz. He wants to be around the action.
- 0:41Speaker 1: All the action is in Texas tonight, but yet he
- 0:44Speaker 1: is still there. This is the text I got from
- 0:47Speaker 1: Mikeya on a Friday, from Taylor, Hey just got to
- 0:51Speaker 1: New York. I might be late.
- 0:54Speaker 3: I forgot pants. What is happening?
- 0:58Speaker 2: Well how.
- 1:01Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Let's explain, Taylor, explain to the audience what that'll happened here?
- 1:06Speaker 4: So I was on a six am flight out of
- 1:08Speaker 4: Fort Lauderdale this morning. Last night I was too tired.
- 1:12Speaker 4: I was like, I'm gonna do the thing where I
- 1:13Speaker 4: go to sleep and I wake up early to pack.
- 1:15Speaker 4: I wake up about four am. The lights are all dark.
- 1:19Speaker 4: I'm trying not to wake up my girlfriend. I'm throwing
- 1:22Speaker 4: things in a suitcase. I get to the airport, Mikey,
- 1:25Speaker 4: I'm looking at my bag. I packed every Knicks T
- 1:28Speaker 4: shirt I own, right, every Knicks T shirt I own.
- 1:31Speaker 4: I have two jerseys in said suitcase and I'm looking.
- 1:34Speaker 4: I'm like, man, how did I fit so many T shirts?
- 1:37Speaker 4: How did I fit so many jerseys? And I'm trying
- 1:39Speaker 4: to map out my outfit for this watch party later?
- 1:43Speaker 4: Where are my pants? No pants packed? Zero pants?
- 1:47Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:47Speaker 1: Yeah, that's unfortunate. How many Nick shirts do you own?
- 1:51Speaker 1: Just out of curiosity?
- 1:52Speaker 3: I mean in this.
- 1:53Speaker 4: Suitcase right now, there's about twenty five.
- 1:55Speaker 3: But no pants.
- 2:00Speaker 5: That's funny, you say that, Taylor quick aside, this is
- 2:03Speaker 5: as close to a Nick's outfit as I can give you.
- 2:06Speaker 4: I've got an orange T shirt and a Yankees hat.
- 2:08Speaker 5: Yes, that's as close to a Nick's outfit as I own,
- 2:11Speaker 5: and I wore it for you today.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Actually, yes, But let's focus on Taylor's problem here, his
- 2:15Speaker 1: predicament because he has no pants.
- 2:17Speaker 3: He only has t shirts with no pants.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Did you bring shorts because it's summertime up there it
- 2:21Speaker 1: should be warm?
- 2:21Speaker 3: You don't really technically you don't need pants right now.
- 2:25Speaker 4: So the only bottoms I have are the shorts I
- 2:28Speaker 4: wore onto the plane, right the only bottom. Somehow, I
- 2:31Speaker 4: have more jerseys than I have pants.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Okay, so you have to go out and purchase pants
- 2:36Speaker 1: and shorts. Is that what you're saying here? I mean,
- 2:38Speaker 1: what are you gonna do?
- 2:40Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm gonna have to. I'm have to find somewhere
- 2:42Speaker 4: to go. I didn't have time to go before this
- 2:45Speaker 4: because of the flight and the drive into where I live.
- 2:50Speaker 4: So I am I'm currently pantsless. Okay, we're just wearing
- 2:53Speaker 4: the shorts that we have right now. And it was
- 2:55Speaker 4: kind of a situation that I just said, you know what,
- 2:58Speaker 4: Later tailor is gonna faitigure this out. Current tailor. He's
- 3:02Speaker 4: enjoying the present, He's enjoyed that the knicker in the finals.
- 3:05Speaker 4: Later tailor has to figure out what store he's going
- 3:08Speaker 4: to go to the nearest Abercrombie he could run to
- 3:11Speaker 4: so he could buy some Schortzer pants.
- 3:13Speaker 5: Okay, this is the same later tailor that was packing
- 3:15Speaker 5: this morning, as opposed to the current tailor who would
- 3:19Speaker 5: have put pants in his suitcase.
- 3:21Speaker 4: Yes, a later tailor didn't.
- 3:22Speaker 5: And this is the same guy we're going to trust
- 3:24Speaker 5: to figure out the situation later.
- 3:26Speaker 4: Okay, just making sure we get all Yeah, current current
- 3:29Speaker 4: tailor last night kicked the problem to later tailor.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Tonguer it out road. Yes, yes, we understand.
- 3:37Speaker 4: Like if I packed last night, current tailor, there's almost
- 3:40Speaker 4: a zero percent chance current tailor forgets to pack pants
- 3:44Speaker 4: at eight pm, twelve hours in advance of his flight,
- 3:48Speaker 4: when I'm worried about scheduling an uber and we're getting
- 3:53Speaker 4: closer and closer to the boarding time. You could see
- 3:55Speaker 4: how I forgot past.
- 3:56Speaker 1: He needs to calm down, Mikey. He is just all
- 3:58Speaker 1: over the place. He is Kareene. He's like ariy El Hawane.
- 4:01Speaker 3: He does it. Everyone's emotional.
- 4:03Speaker 1: They're forgetting their pants, they're not a certain way they're going,
- 4:06Speaker 1: they're walking into people, and strangely, in New York, everyone's saying, hey,
- 4:09Speaker 1: no problem, there's no fighting. We're all unified by the Knicks.
- 4:13Speaker 1: But everyone's going crazy. And I would have preferred tailor
- 4:15Speaker 1: paint the picture of him doing the radio show without
- 4:19Speaker 1: pants or shorts.
- 4:20Speaker 3: That would have been fantastic.
- 4:21Speaker 4: Yes, I'm sitting on the plane in seven A and
- 4:25Speaker 4: it was almost like the scene and Home Alone, where
- 4:27Speaker 4: everybody's turning and going Kevin, Kevin, Kevin, and then the
- 4:31Speaker 4: mom screams Kevin. But I was just screaming pants.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Any Nick fans on that flight, they're all headed the
- 4:37Speaker 1: San Antonio, I mean yeah.
- 4:40Speaker 4: And nobody was going Nobody was heading to Newark, New
- 4:42Speaker 4: Jersey this morning.
- 4:44Speaker 1: So you're gonna go to the nearest Abercrumbie and Fitch
- 4:47Speaker 1: to get yourself some expensive pants and shorts right after
- 4:50Speaker 1: the show here, Yeah.
- 4:52Speaker 4: And like I'm here until the end of the finals, right.
- 4:55Speaker 4: I just very clearly was not prepared for this trip,
- 4:59Speaker 4: because I have every time I go to a Knicks
- 5:02Speaker 4: game it's been in the playoffs recently, and they have
- 5:05Speaker 4: the towel and the shirt giveaways. I packed. I packed
- 5:09Speaker 4: the towels, I packed the shirts, I packed the foam finger,
- 5:12Speaker 4: I got it.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Yes, zero pants.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Yes, you can go out on Madison Square Garden's floor
- 5:17Speaker 1: right now. And have a T shirt cannon and have
- 5:19Speaker 1: enough shirts to go around for an entire session. If
- 5:22Speaker 1: you would love that job, wouldn't you. I'm looking at
- 5:24Speaker 1: your face right now. That would be a dream.
- 5:26Speaker 4: You would lit up.
- 5:27Speaker 1: He would quit this job to be the guy who
- 5:29Speaker 1: shoots T shirts out of a cannon at the Mecca.
- 5:34Speaker 4: I think a T shirt cannon is one of the best,
- 5:37Speaker 4: most underrated things at a sporting event. I've looked at
- 5:41Speaker 4: times like, hey, how much would it be just to
- 5:42Speaker 4: have a T shirt cannon? And my girlfriend's looking at
- 5:45Speaker 4: me when I have our credit card being like, you're
- 5:47Speaker 4: not putting a T shirt cannon.
- 5:49Speaker 3: On this credit card. I'd listen to her seriously.
- 5:55Speaker 4: Yeah, but if she's like, hey, Taylor, can you hand
- 5:57Speaker 4: me a T shirt? Imagine if I could just if
- 5:59Speaker 4: I could just load it up and just down the hallway.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Yes, but why would she do that? Why would she
- 6:04Speaker 1: ask you for a T shirt? I'm like you, she
- 6:06Speaker 1: doesn't forget anything. She is properly packed, she's there, she
- 6:09Speaker 1: has everything stored away.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Does she know that you forgot your pants? Have you
- 6:14Speaker 3: been her aware yet?
- 6:16Speaker 4: Yeah? Yeah, she was like the first text message, like
- 6:19Speaker 4: she's like, hey, hope you have a safe flight. Text
- 6:22Speaker 4: me when you land, And the first text that she
- 6:24Speaker 4: woke up to was no pants, no pants, I'm gonna
- 6:29Speaker 4: overnight me my pants.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Wait no, but Mikey, I'm guessing that Taylor's girlfriend knew
- 6:34Speaker 1: before Taylor did that he didn't.
- 6:35Speaker 3: Back any pants like that would be my guess.
- 6:38Speaker 4: No, so she didn't know because this is the situation
- 6:42Speaker 4: I kind of ran into. And I'm wondering if you
- 6:43Speaker 4: guys have ever had it where your significant others going
- 6:45Speaker 4: on a trip. Yeah, and the flight is early in
- 6:48Speaker 4: the morning, Like if my girlfriend was flying out at
- 6:50Speaker 4: six am and she asked me, Hey, Taylor, I need
- 6:53Speaker 4: you to drag me to the airport at four am. Sure,
- 6:56Speaker 4: no problem. But when the situation is reversed, a four
- 7:00Speaker 4: am flight to her was an instant no go. She's like, hey,
- 7:04Speaker 4: you're taking an Uber Yeah, I'm not waking up at
- 7:07Speaker 4: four am.
- 7:07Speaker 3: Yep, I've experienced that.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Yes, I'll take her to the airport anytime, any day,
- 7:12Speaker 1: does it matter. But God forbid, I asked her to
- 7:14Speaker 1: drop me off of the airport. I'm spending one hundred
- 7:17Speaker 1: and twenty on Uber Black.
- 7:18Speaker 5: I mean, Jesus, I flew home from overseas and my
- 7:24Speaker 5: wife was supposed to pick me up at JFK.
- 7:27Speaker 4: And I landed and I said, hey, I'm here. Just
- 7:31Speaker 4: where should I meet you?
- 7:32Speaker 5: She goes, I sent you a car, I sent you
- 7:36Speaker 5: an Uber, and I don't think I've ever been so
- 7:39Speaker 5: hurt in my life.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Yeah, Taylor, so you took an uber to the airport
- 7:43Speaker 1: this morning?
- 7:43Speaker 3: Are you planning on expensing that? To me?
- 7:45Speaker 1: How is this going to work? I didn't tell you
- 7:46Speaker 1: to go to New York. I just said you could
- 7:47Speaker 1: go to New York. No, but I didn't say I
- 7:49Speaker 1: didn't say, hey, go to New York. I just said
- 7:51Speaker 1: he asked me if he could go, and I said, sure,
- 7:53Speaker 1: go ahead.
- 7:54Speaker 3: You know.
- 7:56Speaker 5: The amount of content I know Taylor is going to
- 7:59Speaker 5: walk away from from this week.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Yeah, you can expense the work, Tralliant. It's really on
- 8:04Speaker 1: my behalf. You're calling it, thank you very free with
- 8:07Speaker 1: all the money. Yeah, if it was your money, would
- 8:09Speaker 1: you call it?
- 8:11Speaker 4: Absolutely not?
- 8:11Speaker 3: I don't have money.
- 8:14Speaker 4: Here. How about this for a trade off. I won't
- 8:17Speaker 4: expense the uber, Yeah, but I could expense the pants.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Okay, I'd rather the uber. You're gonna go to Abercrombie
- 8:25Speaker 1: and get twelve pairs of pants if I say yes
- 8:28Speaker 1: to that, and probably some shorts and some surety, you know,
- 8:31Speaker 1: I'm not gonna look at the itemized bill because I
- 8:33Speaker 1: never do.
- 8:34Speaker 3: I mean, why would I?
- 8:36Speaker 1: Oh Jesus, how do we feel going into tonight's game?
- 8:39Speaker 1: Because I think a lot of Nick fans would say
- 8:41Speaker 1: this is a house money game, and I say, no,
- 8:43Speaker 1: it's not a house money game. When you haven't been
- 8:46Speaker 1: to the finals since nineteen ninety nine and you so
- 8:49Speaker 1: desperately want to win an NBA championship. I don't view
- 8:52Speaker 1: tonight as a house money gain. I view tonight as
- 8:56Speaker 1: the night the Knicks can win the championship and put
- 8:58Speaker 1: the series away. And I think the Knicks are going
- 9:00Speaker 1: to have that exact same attitude. I'm not going to say.
- 9:03Speaker 1: I'm not saying San Antonio's not going to be a
- 9:05Speaker 1: desperate basketball team.
- 9:06Speaker 3: They are.
- 9:07Speaker 1: They know they have to win this game in order
- 9:09Speaker 1: for them to have a shot at winning an NBA title.
- 9:12Speaker 1: But the Knicks also know, and I like this Knicks
- 9:14Speaker 1: team's mentality, they also know, Hey, we win tonight.
- 9:19Speaker 3: We go up too. Oh.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Series is a rap. Going back to Madison Square Garden.
- 9:24Speaker 4: I think Knicks fans it's fair if they look at
- 9:27Speaker 4: this game as a house money game, But I don't
- 9:30Speaker 4: think the team goes in with that mentality, because if
- 9:32Speaker 4: you told most Knicks fans, hey, before this series starts,
- 9:36Speaker 4: you're going to be coming back to Madison Square Garden
- 9:38Speaker 4: and it's going to be split one one one hundred
- 9:41Speaker 4: percent of Knicks fans are are taking that almost every time.
- 9:45Speaker 4: But where I think this Knicks team has been different,
- 9:48Speaker 4: and it's kind of shown they've been different this postseason.
- 9:51Speaker 4: Their mentality when when they have teams backed up against
- 9:55Speaker 4: the wall, they'll put your foot on your neck and
- 9:58Speaker 4: crush you. Like you look at the three close out
- 10:00Speaker 4: games from Cleveland and Philadelphia and Atlanta. The Knicks have
- 10:05Speaker 4: won those closeout games by an average point of almost
- 10:09Speaker 4: forty points per game. Like this team seems to play
- 10:12Speaker 4: their best when you would expect the other team to
- 10:14Speaker 4: be at their most desperate.
- 10:16Speaker 5: In my opinion, the Knicks had no business winning Game
- 10:19Speaker 5: one after like ten days off agree and then Jalen
- 10:23Speaker 5: Brunson getting hurt twice in the game, Like they had
- 10:26Speaker 5: no business winning that game in San Antonio.
- 10:29Speaker 4: The fact that they got it. This is a step
- 10:31Speaker 4: on their throat game.
- 10:32Speaker 5: This is a let's end this season, this series before
- 10:36Speaker 5: the Spurs can find themselves getting back into it.
- 10:39Speaker 4: This is not the game that you want to lose.
- 10:41Speaker 4: I get that.
- 10:42Speaker 5: You could say it's house money because oh, we come
- 10:44Speaker 5: back one to one.
- 10:45Speaker 4: But this is not that.
- 10:46Speaker 3: This is this is the time.
- 10:47Speaker 5: To win, win the whole series. Tonight, Game two, the
- 10:51Speaker 5: most important game of the series.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Taylor, I understand what it is you're saying.
- 10:55Speaker 1: They already get Listen, they already set They already accomplished
- 10:58Speaker 1: what they set out to accomplish, which every road team
- 11:01Speaker 1: will tell you win one of two on the road. Okay,
- 11:04Speaker 1: but they won game one, and to Mikey's point, they
- 11:07Speaker 1: didn't play that well in Game one. They got the
- 11:10Speaker 1: Spurs got the Knicks like C plus game. We haven't
- 11:13Speaker 1: seen the Knicks a game yet, and granted we haven't
- 11:16Speaker 1: seen the Spurs a game yet. And I suspect the
- 11:19Speaker 1: Knicks know what they're gonna get tonight. Is San Antonio's
- 11:22Speaker 1: a game. And because this team is so uber competitive,
- 11:25Speaker 1: with Brunson, with heart, with all these guys who have
- 11:27Speaker 1: played together forever, I think they know exactly what they're
- 11:30Speaker 1: stepping into tonight with San Antonio, and they need to
- 11:33Speaker 1: match that intensity. And because they care enough, and because
- 11:36Speaker 1: they don't look at this as a house money game,
- 11:38Speaker 1: they look at this as hey, let's leave no doubt,
- 11:41Speaker 1: let's sweep the Spurs. They will match their intensity because
- 11:44Speaker 1: they are not complacent just being up one game to nothing.
- 11:47Speaker 3: They want to be up to well going back home.
- 11:50Speaker 4: It is strange that both teams are going into this
- 11:53Speaker 4: game too saying we're gonna play a lot better than
- 11:56Speaker 4: game one and let's see who's best is going to
- 11:58Speaker 4: be better than the other team's best. But if you're
- 12:01Speaker 4: the Spurs and the Spurs are saying, hey, we're going
- 12:03Speaker 4: to be playing better in game two, we've kind of
- 12:06Speaker 4: heard that narrative all playoffs of teams thinking that they're
- 12:09Speaker 4: going to have a response for this next team, and
- 12:11Speaker 4: then next team having this overwhelming response. Like Kenny Atkinson
- 12:15Speaker 4: last series was saying, we're up analytically in this series
- 12:17Speaker 4: after three games. Kenny Atkinson, how did that work out
- 12:21Speaker 4: for you in game four? You didn't even show up
- 12:23Speaker 4: in Game four?
- 12:23Speaker 1: Put it on the pall as Kenny Atkinson getting ready
- 12:26Speaker 1: right now for Game two of the NBA Finals.
- 12:30Speaker 4: Analytically, they're right there.
- 12:34Speaker 3: I forgot about poor Kenny Atkinson, but he's still a coach.
- 12:38Speaker 3: So I'll go ahead, Taylor Stu.
- 12:40Speaker 4: I have a little game here that I'd like to
- 12:42Speaker 4: play with you guys. Okay, Yeah, it's called something or Nothing.
- 12:47Speaker 3: Oh okay, I like it. Keep going just.
- 12:50Speaker 4: Off the name alone. You're you like it?
- 12:52Speaker 3: Well? Of course, something or Nothing. I've been waiting to
- 12:54Speaker 3: play this game my entire life. Where's it been? Go ahead?
- 12:56Speaker 3: How do we play it?
- 12:58Speaker 4: So you'd expect a big response from the Spurs in
- 13:00Speaker 4: Game two, but after the Game one loss, Dylan Harper
- 13:05Speaker 4: reposted a TikTok that was slandering Darren Fox, saying that
- 13:10Speaker 4: darn Fox paid tribute to James Harden with his three
- 13:14Speaker 4: of thirteen statline. Now he on reposted it afterwards, so
- 13:19Speaker 4: it might have been a mistake. But something or Nothing.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Wow, I love that Dylan Harper. He's a rookie, right,
- 13:27Speaker 1: I mean, I love this kid. He was their best
- 13:30Speaker 1: player in Game one and somehow they sat him in
- 13:32Speaker 1: the fourth quarter. This is something Dylan Harper taking shots
- 13:36Speaker 1: at his own teammate for being bad. James Harden's not
- 13:39Speaker 1: a compliment, James Harden's an insult Jim.
- 13:44Speaker 4: Jimbo. This is something I mean.
- 13:46Speaker 5: This is because no matter what happens, it was still
- 13:49Speaker 5: on his phone, it was still in his hand, even
- 13:53Speaker 5: if he accidentally reposted it. Yes, someone sent it to
- 13:56Speaker 5: him to say, hey, check this out. It's something he
- 14:00Speaker 5: talked about it.
- 14:00Speaker 1: And more importantly, it's been sent to the Aaron Fox,
- 14:03Speaker 1: so he knows it's out there and he knows it's
- 14:04Speaker 1: courtesy of his teammate Dylan Harper.
- 14:06Speaker 3: This is something Dayler.
- 14:08Speaker 4: And it wasn't like Harper, you know, was in the
- 14:11Speaker 4: game down the stretch, like he got benched in favor
- 14:14Speaker 4: for Fox. It's it doesn't seem like it's a coincidence
- 14:18Speaker 4: that this is post. This is coming up on his timeline.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Yes, what a time we live in. Dylan Harper sending
- 14:22Speaker 1: a message to his coach and doing so this is
- 14:25Speaker 1: really absolutely incredible. He is doing so not directly but

- 15:08Speaker 1: All right, thank you to Sham's there for joining us.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Ad Nan Vik is going to join us in just
- 15:13Speaker 1: a little bit. Mikey A has an issue going on
- 15:16Speaker 1: with his kid. He needs some advice here. But before
- 15:19Speaker 1: we get to that, Taylor, what is going on? The
- 15:20Speaker 1: Knicks are auctioning off some court side seeds. I'm being
- 15:24Speaker 1: told which game is this for?
- 15:26Speaker 3: How much of these tickets going for? What are we
- 15:28Speaker 3: doing here?
- 15:29Speaker 4: Yeah? So the Knicks are auctioning off two celebrity row
- 15:33Speaker 4: tickets for Game three. Proceeds from the auction will benefit
- 15:36Speaker 4: the Garden of Dreams Foundation. The total fair market value
- 15:41Speaker 4: of the tickets is thirty nine thousand dollars. But do
- 15:45Speaker 4: you guys want to take guesses what the current bit
- 15:48Speaker 4: is at.
- 15:48Speaker 1: So you're auctioning these off to very wealthy people, people
- 15:52Speaker 1: who have a lot of money, people who may or
- 15:55Speaker 1: may not be Nick fans, who want to take their
- 15:58Speaker 1: kids to something special side at Madison Square Garden. It
- 16:02Speaker 1: doesn't matter if you're a Nick fan. If your kid
- 16:04Speaker 1: wants to see Timothy Shallomey or wants to see some
- 16:07Speaker 1: of these celebrities that be up closed, like Greenie's kid,
- 16:09Speaker 1: you'll try to get it done. Man, I cannot imagine
- 16:12Speaker 1: what people with money are bidding on these particular tickets.
- 16:15Speaker 3: Go ahead, Mikey.
- 16:16Speaker 5: The other thing about it, though, is because it's going
- 16:19Speaker 5: to charity, it could be considered a write off.
- 16:21Speaker 3: It is a write off.
- 16:22Speaker 5: Yes, so I'm thinking that it is going way higher
- 16:27Speaker 5: than even we assume it would go.
- 16:30Speaker 4: All right, I'm gonna.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Well, hold on a second. So the bidding is ongoing here.
- 16:35Speaker 1: So it started at thirty nine thousand, roughly, right, it's ongoing,
- 16:39Speaker 1: And when when does bidding close?
- 16:41Speaker 3: Taylor? Do we know?
- 16:42Speaker 4: I don't know when the bidding closes. It didn't start
- 16:45Speaker 4: at thirty It didn't start at thirty nine thousand. They're
- 16:48Speaker 4: just telling you that if these tickets were to be sold,
- 16:51Speaker 4: they would be sold for thirty nine thousand.
- 16:53Speaker 3: Okay, do we know when the auction started? Do we
- 16:55Speaker 3: know that? Uh?
- 16:56Speaker 4: Yesterday?
- 16:57Speaker 3: Okay, So yesterday, Mikey.
- 16:59Speaker 1: So you know there's someone out there bidding a lot
- 17:00Speaker 1: of money, and then there's another guy coming in and
- 17:03Speaker 1: he's going a little more, and it's going to get
- 17:05Speaker 1: down to two people. They'll never know who each other.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Maybe they will, maybe they're in coots. But usually this
- 17:12Speaker 1: is how these things go down. It's one guy versus
- 17:14Speaker 1: another guy, and he's trying to flex how much more
- 17:17Speaker 1: money he has than that guy. So what do you
- 17:18Speaker 1: think the bidding's at right now? Because I think it's astronomical.
- 17:21Speaker 1: I think it's somewhere in the six figures.
- 17:23Speaker 3: Probably. I was.
- 17:25Speaker 4: I was gonna put it at one twenty.
- 17:27Speaker 3: I was gonna put it at three point fifty.
- 17:29Speaker 1: I was gonna put it at three hundred and fifty
- 17:31Speaker 1: thousand dollars for the two tickets.
- 17:32Speaker 3: Where is it, Taylor?
- 17:34Speaker 4: The current bid five hundred thousand dollars out of here?
- 17:42Speaker 3: I can't believe Breedy made that bid.
- 17:48Speaker 4: Stu. I was listening to WFA and earlier and Evan
- 17:51Speaker 4: Roberts keeps saying that this is a once in a life,
- 17:54Speaker 4: lifetime opportunity to see the Knicks play in the finals,
- 17:57Speaker 4: and that's why people are spending this kind of money
- 17:59Speaker 4: on tickets. Yeah, Tiki Barber kind of rightly pointed out,
- 18:03Speaker 4: saying the Knicks made the finals in nineteen ninety nine
- 18:06Speaker 4: and nineteen ninety four, so it technically can't be a
- 18:09Speaker 4: once in a lifetime opportunity. If over the course of
- 18:13Speaker 4: your lifetime you've seen it multiple times.
- 18:16Speaker 1: That's fair depending on how long you live, though, I mean,
- 18:18Speaker 1: but yes, you're right, if you live a typical life.
- 18:21Speaker 1: This is the third time for me. Okay, so I'm
- 18:23Speaker 1: a good example here. This is not once in a lifetime.
- 18:26Speaker 1: I've seen the Knicks multiple times now playing in the
- 18:29Speaker 1: NBA Finals, including being a game away against the Rockets
- 18:33Speaker 1: where they.
- 18:33Speaker 3: Were up three to two headed back to Euston.
- 18:35Speaker 4: I mean, if you live during the times of the
- 18:38Speaker 4: bubonic plague, then yes, it was once in a lifetime.
- 18:44Speaker 3: It's such a great word, plodding plague.
- 18:50Speaker 4: And if you did it, you made it this far. Congratulations.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Yes, wait, sold Todd, the price is set? Where is
- 18:59Speaker 1: it it?
- 18:59Speaker 3: Right now? Who's we don't know the bidder, but the
- 19:01Speaker 3: bidding is at where right now?
- 19:03Speaker 4: The bidding is at five hundred thousand dollars. Now I
- 19:06Speaker 4: can't get it out of my head. Ah here comes,
- 19:09Speaker 4: here comes the latest strain of influenza to take us
- 19:11Speaker 4: all out. Where do you like, Scott Cumpshit?
- 19:18Speaker 3: Where do you think the bidding's going to stop?
- 19:20Speaker 1: Because I think we could be seeing a million dollars
- 19:22Speaker 1: for these two tapers?
- 19:24Speaker 4: Should we out a bid? Five?
- 19:26Speaker 1: Here?
- 19:27Speaker 3: Not need you to action? Wait?
- 19:32Speaker 1: So you want to put in an official bid knowing that
- 19:35Speaker 1: that official bid is going to be beat, just so
- 19:37Speaker 1: somebody could say, you know what, I'd like to do
- 19:39Speaker 1: that as long as they know that bid is coming
- 19:42Speaker 1: from me.
- 19:43Speaker 3: I want that. Yeah, so I can get some Yes,
- 19:45Speaker 3: I want to get some press.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Taylor put the bidding at five hundred and one thousand
- 19:49Speaker 1: dollars from me?
- 19:50Speaker 4: Okay, okay, I actually know somebody. That sound made me
- 19:56Speaker 4: think of it. This kid I know from college. He
- 19:59Speaker 4: went into marketing, but he also does auctioneering on the
- 20:02Speaker 4: side where he's.
- 20:07Speaker 3: I wish I could do that.
- 20:09Speaker 4: Really, I'll book them on the show, please do.
- 20:12Speaker 1: I would just talk as quickly as possible, all jumbled
- 20:15Speaker 1: until somehow everything landed in my car. You know, Mikey,
- 20:22Speaker 1: do you think we're gonna see north of a million
- 20:25Speaker 1: dollars for two court side tickets? And I'm sorry, it
- 20:28Speaker 1: looks like we're not going to get to your kid's
- 20:29Speaker 1: problem again more.
- 20:30Speaker 5: Than I mean, I think we're gonna have to if
- 20:34Speaker 5: if we're only twenty four hours into the auction and
- 20:37Speaker 5: we're already at half a.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Mill, Yeah, yes, yes, because the guy who's at a
- 20:41Speaker 1: half million cannot be stopped, the guy who bid a
- 20:44Speaker 1: half million dollars.
- 20:45Speaker 3: For these two tickets.
- 20:46Speaker 1: If you can bid a half million for two tickets,
- 20:48Speaker 1: you can go as high as you want.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Someone's gonna come back in.
- 20:51Speaker 1: I'm telling you, the guy who's had a half million
- 20:52Speaker 1: right now is not letting these tickets go anywhere else
- 20:55Speaker 1: but in his pocket.
- 20:56Speaker 3: I'm telling you that.
- 20:57Speaker 4: Yes, anytime people say you could just write it off,
- 21:01Speaker 4: I almost don't even understand what that means.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Well, it just right off, people, It's a write off, right, Okay,
- 21:09Speaker 1: I don't know what it means either, but I know
- 21:10Speaker 1: it's right off.
- 21:11Speaker 3: Yeah, you just write it off. Yeah, it is right
- 21:13Speaker 3: it off. But I'm taking advantage of it.
- 21:15Speaker 2: I mean, be sure to catch live editions of Stu
- 21:19Speaker 2: Gotson Company live weekdays at three pm Eastern twelve pm Pacific.
- 21:27Speaker 1: At nan vurking to join us at about fifteen minutes.
- 21:30Speaker 1: We are reeling I mean Nix and Spurs tonight Game two.
- 21:33Speaker 1: It's such an interesting game. It's why Game two is
- 21:35Speaker 1: so fascinating to me, because you know, you have the
- 21:38Speaker 1: Spurs trying to get back into the series and you
- 21:40Speaker 1: have the Knicks trying to end the series.
- 21:44Speaker 3: What is Shay Serrano saying here, Taylor, I.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Am told that he has a a Stu Gotts type
- 21:50Speaker 1: take here about Jalen Brunson.
- 21:52Speaker 3: What is the take?
- 21:54Speaker 4: So Shay is a Spurs fan, but he's also just
- 21:57Speaker 4: a great NBA commentator too. He's he said, if Jalen
- 22:01Speaker 4: Brunson pulls this off, it's gonna be like a Dirk
- 22:04Speaker 4: Nowitzki level championship where the one championship is actually worth
- 22:09Speaker 4: like three championships.
- 22:11Speaker 3: Put it on the poll.
- 22:13Speaker 1: If Jalen Brunson wins a championship this year, isn't like
- 22:17Speaker 1: winning three. I never thought that with Dirk. I know
- 22:19Speaker 1: it validated his career. He needed a title to be
- 22:22Speaker 1: considered one of the all time greats. I didn't feel
- 22:24Speaker 1: like when Dirk won that NBA championship, though he won
- 22:27Speaker 1: three titles, this is different though.
- 22:29Speaker 3: This is the Mecca. It's not Dallas. This means more.
- 22:33Speaker 1: So I am willing to get Brunson three championships if
- 22:36Speaker 1: he merely wins one. But I am not willing to
- 22:39Speaker 1: agree with anybody who says Dirk on that night where
- 22:42Speaker 1: he won.
- 22:42Speaker 3: His championship is only championship that he won three? No,
- 22:46Speaker 3: not willing to do that. Yes, Mikey, So.
- 22:49Speaker 4: Is he saying that because it's the Knicks.
- 22:51Speaker 5: Is he saying that because of Jalen Brunson's career arc
- 22:54Speaker 5: up till this point where he was doubted everywhere? Or
- 22:56Speaker 5: is he saying just because the West is supposed to
- 22:59Speaker 5: be so much better right now and Wemby's this alien
- 23:03Speaker 5: that's going to dominate the NBA for the next two decades.
- 23:07Speaker 5: Why exactly is this one worth three?
- 23:10Speaker 4: So?
- 23:10Speaker 1: I think this one is worth three because so they're
- 23:14Speaker 1: different championships, right, So, Jalen Brunson is still on the ascent,
- 23:18Speaker 1: He is still.
- 23:19Speaker 3: On the upward trajectory.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Right he has not done winning championships where Dirk won
- 23:25Speaker 1: his championship late in his career. Everyone kept saying Dirk
- 23:29Speaker 1: needs to win a championship to kind of validate being
- 23:32Speaker 1: one of the all time greats. I did not, at
- 23:33Speaker 1: any moment think to myself that Dirk winning this was
- 23:36Speaker 1: like Dirk winning three. No one cares about the Mavericks
- 23:39Speaker 1: that care about Dirk. He validated his career. I'll give
- 23:41Speaker 1: him one and a half. But Jalen Brunson, this is three.
- 23:44Speaker 1: I mean, the Knicks have been starving for this, and
- 23:47Speaker 1: it's the NBA's most important organization. I don't care about Boston,
- 23:50Speaker 1: I don't care about the Lakers. This is the NBA's
- 23:53Speaker 1: number one market. It's everyone's number one market. Every league
- 23:58Speaker 1: wants the teams in New York, whether they admit it
- 24:00Speaker 1: or not, to be not just good, but championship good.
- 24:03Speaker 1: And the Knicks are here. And so for Jalen, I
- 24:06Speaker 1: am fine. One equals three for Dirt, one equals one
- 24:09Speaker 1: and a half.
- 24:09Speaker 3: How about that?
- 24:10Speaker 4: So I've been working on this formula one. It's just
- 24:15Speaker 4: the title. It counts as one title already for Jalen Brunson,
- 24:18Speaker 4: just like it would for any standard person. Ye the
- 24:21Speaker 4: second title than you is because he's six foot two
- 24:25Speaker 4: and under and the best player on the team. And
- 24:27Speaker 4: we've heard Becky Hammond say you can't win with a
- 24:31Speaker 4: player that short. The second title is because of Jalen
- 24:34Speaker 4: Brunton's height. The third title, Stu, is exactly what you mentioned.
- 24:38Speaker 4: If you win in New York, it counts for a bonus.
- 24:42Speaker 4: That's where That's where I think the three titles is
- 24:44Speaker 4: coming from.
- 24:44Speaker 1: So this is weird because Mikey everyone expected Dirt to
- 24:47Speaker 1: eventually win a title, and he eventually did. I don't
- 24:50Speaker 1: think anyone ever expected Jalen Brunson to be the best
- 24:53Speaker 1: guy on a team that's going to win an NBA championship,
- 24:56Speaker 1: including Becky Hammond.
- 24:57Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying, it's crazy.
- 25:00Speaker 4: I agree.
- 25:01Speaker 5: I mean, it's just I was curious as to Serrano's
- 25:03Speaker 5: thinking as to why exactly he's giving, why he's comparing it.
- 25:07Speaker 3: No, I understand that, and I gotta be honest with you.
- 25:09Speaker 1: I love Shay, Okay, he's on my Mott Rushmore of
- 25:11Speaker 1: Spurs fans along with Michelle Beadle.
- 25:13Speaker 3: And I don't have two more for you, Okay. I
- 25:15Speaker 3: don't like to take I like it.
- 25:17Speaker 1: If it's just isolated on Brunson, I don't need any
- 25:19Speaker 1: sort of comparisons to Dirk. What Brunson is doing is
- 25:21Speaker 1: vastly different than what Dirk did.
- 25:25Speaker 4: And by my formula, Derek Cheeters five titles since all
- 25:28Speaker 4: five were one in New York. Yeah, Derek Jeter actually
- 25:31Speaker 4: has ten titles.
- 25:31Speaker 3: No he doesn't.
- 25:32Speaker 1: He has five? Right, No, actually he has three in
- 25:34Speaker 1: my personal record book. Those teams were too good, right place,
- 25:37Speaker 1: right time. Hall of Fame put him on the Pirates.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Tell me howny titles yet? Now, if he won one
- 25:41Speaker 1: on the Pirates, Okay, if Derek Jeter won one in Pittsburgh,
- 25:45Speaker 1: that would count as five.
- 25:46Speaker 3: But there's no way. I'm like, you're getting carried away.
- 25:48Speaker 1: You're excited about the Dicks, you're excited about Brunson winning
- 25:51Speaker 1: three championships at once.
- 25:53Speaker 3: I am not going to allow you.
- 25:54Speaker 1: To use this opportunity to tell me that Derek jeters
- 25:58Speaker 1: five World Series champ chips aren't now doubled and now
- 26:02Speaker 1: they're ten.
- 26:03Speaker 3: I'm not allowing it.
- 26:04Speaker 4: No, Wow, Jogi Bears got twenty exactly this guy, you
- 26:11Speaker 4: get it.
- 26:11Speaker 1: This coming from the guy who says Elijah Wan doesn't
- 26:14Speaker 1: have any, Durant doesn't have any, and Jordan has eight,
- 26:19Speaker 1: but those make sense. Jeter's five counting is ten, don't
- 26:22Speaker 1: make sense. Brunton's one counting is three that makes sense,
- 26:26Speaker 1: but not Jeter's five counting is ten. What are you doing, you, Mikey?
- 26:30Speaker 1: Why you all fired up about the Bears moving to Indiana?
- 26:33Speaker 1: What has happened to that.
- 26:35Speaker 5: The Bears had some vote where they're now starting to
- 26:39Speaker 5: move forward with moving their stadium, their home field to Indiana,
- 26:44Speaker 5: outside of not only Chicago, but outside of the state
- 26:46Speaker 5: of Illinois. And now I'm looking at it and I'm
- 26:49Speaker 5: going Indiana College the.
- 26:53Speaker 4: Bears they're coming up. Yeah, is Indiana the mecca of football?
- 26:57Speaker 1: Now, I don't think it's Indiana College. You made it
- 26:59Speaker 1: sound like some sort of community college. It's Indiana, Indiana, Indiana, right,
- 27:05Speaker 1: I understand no one knows Indiana right now. They just
- 27:08Speaker 1: started taking over. It's gonna be weird because Caleb Williams
- 27:12Speaker 1: took a picture from Madden for the cover with the
- 27:15Speaker 1: Chicago skyline behind them, and they have to change that
- 27:18Speaker 1: up now, right, It's got.
- 27:21Speaker 4: Does like Hendersonville or something. India.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Taylor put it on the poll. Does Indiana have a skylight?
- 27:28Speaker 1: Does Hammond, Indiana have a skylight? And is that skyline
- 27:32Speaker 1: always cloudy?
- 27:36Speaker 4: To me, this this Bear story is just a bluff,
- 27:39Speaker 4: right Like, I won't believe the Bears will be playing
- 27:42Speaker 4: football in Indiana until I actually see that stadium being
- 27:46Speaker 4: built and the Bears play that first game in Indiana.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think most people will believe it until
- 27:52Speaker 1: it's done. It seems like a leverage play, but I
- 27:54Speaker 1: think Mikey's saying it's getting pretty close to not being
- 27:57Speaker 1: a leverage play anymore.
- 27:58Speaker 3: They're almost had a time Chicago.
- 27:59Speaker 5: Yes, that's really what it is. It's a year ago.
- 28:04Speaker 5: I would have agreed with you. But like the more
- 28:06Speaker 5: and more we keep doing this, and nobody is blinking
- 28:09Speaker 5: in Chicago to be like, all right, fine, we're gonna
- 28:11Speaker 5: do this and this and this, and we're going.
- 28:13Speaker 4: To keep the Bears in Chicago.
- 28:15Speaker 5: It seems like they're bluffing to the point where they're
- 28:18Speaker 5: going to actually have to go through with it.
- 28:20Speaker 3: Right, Well, the Bears aren't bluffing.
- 28:21Speaker 1: The Bears are just trying to get a stadium deal,
- 28:23Speaker 1: and of course they would love it to be in Chicago,
- 28:26Speaker 1: but no, one in Chicago was responding the way they
- 28:28Speaker 1: want them to respond, So therefore they have to go.
- 28:30Speaker 1: It seems like they're going to have to go to Indiana.
- 28:32Speaker 1: But again, I'm with tell her on this. I won't
- 28:34Speaker 1: believe it until I see it.
- 28:36Speaker 4: So the be and Bear stands for bluffing and not blinking.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Right, Yeah, yeah, you proud of that one.
- 28:44Speaker 4: I was just gonna let you have it.
- 28:51Speaker 1: They have the best quarterback I think in the NFL.
- 28:55Speaker 1: Or he's gonna be the best quarterback of the NFL.
- 28:57Speaker 1: That guy signed up the play games in Chicago. He
- 29:00Speaker 1: did not sign up the play games in Henderson or
- 29:03Speaker 1: wherever the hell it is Indiana.
- 29:06Speaker 4: Where where did Sims have him?
- 29:09Speaker 3: Caleb Williams just well, he had him crying apparently.
- 29:13Speaker 1: But I believe seventh, yes, seventh, seventh on his list
- 29:16Speaker 1: right now, that's a guy who could easily be number
- 29:18Speaker 1: one by next year. The Bears are going, why are
- 29:22Speaker 1: you saying he's overrated now the Chicago Yeah, but he
- 29:25Speaker 1: has lessened his expectations, because you would agree the Indiana
- 29:29Speaker 1: Bears they have no expectations. The Chicago Bears major expectations.
- 29:33Speaker 1: Perhaps this works out for Caleb Williams. In some sort
- 29:36Speaker 1: of weird way, Caleb.
- 29:39Speaker 4: Williams is going to be the fourth best quarterback in
- 29:41Speaker 4: the state of Indiana.
- 29:42Speaker 5: It's going to be Daniel Jones, whoever is in Bloomington
- 29:45Speaker 5: and whoever is in South Bend.
- 29:47Speaker 3: Indiana is going to have two NFL teams.
- 29:52Speaker 4: And Notre Dame.
- 29:53Speaker 3: Yes, well how do you navigate? And Notre Dame? Right?
- 29:57Speaker 1: And of course the greatest of them all Kurt Signetti
- 29:59Speaker 1: and the Indiana Indiana University.
- 30:04Speaker 3: Indiana College is.
- 30:05Speaker 4: What you called Adana College.
- 30:06Speaker 3: You made it like ICC. Wow, what a state now,
- 30:12Speaker 3: seriously wow.
- 30:13Speaker 4: So actually I'm looking at Simms's rankings. Caleb Williams was
- 30:16Speaker 4: not seventh. He was sixth.
- 30:18Speaker 3: Oh wow, I hosted the show with him.
- 30:20Speaker 4: You would it was seventh. You would have thought Justin
- 30:22Speaker 4: Herbert was seventh.
- 30:23Speaker 3: Oh that's a terrible thing. Herbert.
- 30:27Speaker 4: I wanted, I wanted to crush him, but I can't.
- 30:28Speaker 4: I can't defend Justin Herbert.
- 30:30Speaker 1: So in Indiana we'll have two football teams, two college
- 30:33Speaker 1: football teams, an NBA team. Indiana, Man, they're really growing
- 30:39Speaker 1: its stature in terms of sports. They are I mean,
- 30:42Speaker 1: they are the They're they're the capitol of football right now.
- 30:45Speaker 3: They own football.
- 30:46Speaker 4: That's what happens when you get the Pat McAfee show,
- 30:51Speaker 4: built a whole infrastructure.
- 30:52Speaker 3: Off it is that what happens.
- 30:57Speaker 4: Should move the Hall of Fame to Indiana from Canton?
- 31:01Speaker 1: From Canton, Taylor put that on the pole. Should the
- 31:06Speaker 1: NFL move its Hall of Fame from Canton, Ohio, where
- 31:10Speaker 1: it's been forever, to somewhere in Indiana.
- 31:15Speaker 3: It's absolutely it's absurd. I don't think.
- 31:18Speaker 1: Well, it's going to be interesting to see if this
- 31:21Speaker 1: actually happens. I do agree with Taylor. I'm not gonna
- 31:23Speaker 1: believe it until it actually happens. I'd like to think
- 31:26Speaker 1: the city of Chicago will come to some sort of
- 31:29Speaker 1: resolution here and keep the Bears in that city.
- 31:31Speaker 3: Because that's an institution. It's an institution.
- 31:34Speaker 1: I don't know what I just tried to say. I'm tired, man,
- 31:37Speaker 1: it's been a long week. I got to tell you,
- 31:39Speaker 1: I cannot imagine that happening because I just can't imagine
- 31:43Speaker 1: the people of Chicago, whoever's in charge over there, allowing
- 31:46Speaker 1: their football team, the thing that they love most along
- 31:49Speaker 1: with the Cubs.
- 31:50Speaker 3: To move to Indiana. I just can't see it. I
- 31:52Speaker 3: can't see it.
- 31:53Speaker 1: So anyway, ad Na Vick is going to join us. Next,
- 31:56Speaker 1: we're going to talk some tennis.
- 31:58Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 31:58Speaker 1: I know we're headed into the NBA Finals Game two,
- 32:00Speaker 1: but I had to talk French show open with ad
- 32:02Speaker 1: that next.
- 32:03Speaker 4: If you missed any of today's show, be sure to

- 32:21Speaker 4: check out our original podcast, stuttson Company, God Bless Football
- 32:25Speaker 4: and with Stu dottson Hawkmin.
- 32:26Speaker 1: All right, thanks to ad Nan urg for joining us.
- 32:29Speaker 1: Mikey A has a question for Taylor. I also need
- 32:31Speaker 1: to get to a beef with Nick Fans and Elmo,
- 32:35Speaker 1: and plus we have the poll questions to wrap up
- 32:37Speaker 1: the week. Mikeya, what is your question here for Taylor's
- 32:40Speaker 1: We head into a big game too, Nixon spurs NBA Finals.
- 32:43Speaker 1: I want the Knicks to put it away tonight, but
- 32:45Speaker 1: go ahead, Mikeya.
- 32:47Speaker 5: So, Taylor, we were listening to ad Nan and Stu
- 32:49Speaker 5: Gott's talk about how they don't like to be on
- 32:52Speaker 5: Tech's group checks during games and stuff, and I'm wondering,
- 32:56Speaker 5: with you being the way you are during Knicks games,
- 32:59Speaker 5: do you want want anybody texting you? Or are you
- 33:01Speaker 5: just like leave me alone even not being in the
- 33:05Speaker 5: same room.
- 33:06Speaker 4: So, if you're just a casual fan, I don't want
- 33:09Speaker 4: you texting and popping in and checking in with your
- 33:13Speaker 4: ill informed takes. If you're like a diehard Nick fan
- 33:17Speaker 4: and one of my close friends, I don't mind texting
- 33:19Speaker 4: you during the game.
- 33:20Speaker 1: Okay, So no one can really text you unless they're
- 33:24Speaker 1: a diehard. Just so we're understanding this quiteickly right, unless
- 33:27Speaker 1: you see them at your level of Nick fandom, they're
- 33:30Speaker 1: not allowed to text you.
- 33:31Speaker 3: Is that the deal?
- 33:33Speaker 4: Yeah, Like, I don't need somebody texting me Like, oh no,
- 33:35Speaker 4: Jalen Brunson rolled his ankle, Like, yeah, I'm watching the game.
- 33:38Speaker 4: I could see that. Jalen Brunston rolled his ankle.
- 33:41Speaker 3: Thanks, yeah, I got it.
- 33:42Speaker 4: Yeah, give me the Mendoza line.
- 33:44Speaker 5: Give me the person that's like this is this is
- 33:46Speaker 5: his best a Nick fan that can't text.
- 33:48Speaker 3: Me, I think it's me. I do I think it's me.
- 33:50Speaker 1: I have a feeling that it's me because he views
- 33:52Speaker 1: himself as a bigger nick fan than I am, even
- 33:55Speaker 1: though I've been rooting for this team for forty five years.
- 33:57Speaker 3: I mean, it's unbelievable.
- 33:59Speaker 4: Yeah, you took a convenient, like ten to fifteen years
- 34:03Speaker 4: off where you started rooting for Mario Chalmers and those boys.
- 34:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:07Speaker 1: Yeah, when Carolina has down years, I mean, are you
- 34:10Speaker 1: rooting the same way as you are when they're having
- 34:13Speaker 1: great years?
- 34:14Speaker 3: Seriously? Who does that? No one does? Well.
- 34:17Speaker 4: I haven't had kids yet, so my level of fandom
- 34:19Speaker 4: hasn't really slipped off.
- 34:21Speaker 3: Sure, are you're blaming it on the kids? Is that
- 34:23Speaker 3: what you're doing there? Yeah?
- 34:25Speaker 4: It seems like everybody's point of like when their fandom
- 34:27Speaker 4: really takes a dip. It's either like your team wins
- 34:30Speaker 4: a title and you stop caring less, or that you
- 34:32Speaker 4: have kids and you start caring less.
- 34:33Speaker 3: For me, it was kids. Priorities change. It's not about
- 34:36Speaker 3: not loving sports.
- 34:37Speaker 1: As much as I used to, which just my priorities
- 34:39Speaker 1: have shifted where sports is no longer the most important
- 34:42Speaker 1: thing in my life. They used to be now it's
- 34:44Speaker 1: my children. I apologize.
- 34:48Speaker 4: I guess.
- 34:49Speaker 5: I mean, so is it Nicks or is this like
- 34:52Speaker 5: every team? So like Yankees are in the World Series,
- 34:54Speaker 5: you want people texting you or it doesn't matter.
- 34:58Speaker 1: Uh.
- 34:58Speaker 4: For the most part, I I, like I said with
- 35:01Speaker 4: add In, I isolate during the game. Ideally, my phone
- 35:05Speaker 4: is off to the side and it's like on do
- 35:07Speaker 4: not disturb, and I'm not even thinking about my phone,
- 35:11Speaker 4: Like during timeouts, I'll go to Twitter and just check
- 35:13Speaker 4: to see what people are talking about. But in terms
- 35:15Speaker 4: of communicating with people, I already really don't like communicating
- 35:19Speaker 4: with people. So we know, during a game that I
- 35:21Speaker 4: care about I want to communicate even less.
- 35:23Speaker 1: EPJSON is familiar with your work, EPJSON, come to the microphone.
- 35:27Speaker 3: Please?
- 35:27Speaker 1: Has Taylor been ignoring your text during Knicks games? I mean,
- 35:30Speaker 1: what's going on here?
- 35:31Speaker 6: You know we have a show group text, right and
- 35:33Speaker 6: I sent some A plus material the other night in
- 35:37Speaker 6: the middle of the first quarter, and just for the listeners.
- 35:40Speaker 6: Because it's A plus material, I feel compelled to read it.
- 35:43Speaker 6: This is this is what I wrote to you guys.
- 35:45Speaker 3: I wonder what.
- 35:45Speaker 6: David Stern would say if he was told that the
- 35:48Speaker 6: new York Knicks would be playing in their first NBA
- 35:50Speaker 6: Finals in twenty seven years, and they'd be wearing their
- 35:53Speaker 6: traditional home whites, and their starting center would be wearing
- 35:56Speaker 6: lime green and fluorescent yellow sneakers. I mean, that's hilarious
- 36:01Speaker 6: material ignored by the room. I'm wondering for Taylor, is
- 36:05Speaker 6: this the problem that I violate the rule of texting
- 36:08Speaker 6: you during the game.
- 36:09Speaker 4: You sure did listen. I'm going to battle. I'm going
- 36:12Speaker 4: to war right now. I can't be thinking about what
- 36:14Speaker 4: David Stern would be thinking.
- 36:17Speaker 1: And also, Jason, I hate to tell you, you're not
- 36:20Speaker 1: at his level. Do you understand what he's saying? He
- 36:22Speaker 1: doesn't view you as a Nick fan. He doesn't want
- 36:24Speaker 1: to hear from you. I mean, he likes you and
- 36:25Speaker 1: he respects you, but he doesn't want to hear from
- 36:27Speaker 1: you during a Knicks game.
- 36:28Speaker 3: That's all. That's fair. That's fair, okay, okay.
- 36:30Speaker 1: And just so you know, same with me, that same
- 36:32Speaker 1: with mikey A. And really is he knows the most
- 36:35Speaker 1: basketball of all of us, and he doesn't.
- 36:37Speaker 3: Want to hear from him. I'm not even certain if
- 36:40Speaker 3: Charles Oakley texted him eat respond.
- 36:42Speaker 4: I mean, he's not on Taylor's level.
- 36:47Speaker 3: What is going on?
- 36:48Speaker 1: Nick fans are very sensitive right now, and they'll look
- 36:51Speaker 1: for anyone to argue with. By the way, what do
- 36:53Speaker 1: you guys make of Colin Cowhort saying you open the
- 36:55Speaker 1: show that I saying the Knicks lovable team. Gotta love
- 36:59Speaker 1: this team. I don't want to hear from him. I
- 37:01Speaker 1: don't want to hear from these people, seriously, who have
- 37:04Speaker 1: made fun of the Knicks and their fan base for
- 37:06Speaker 1: a couple of decades. Now and now, because we have
- 37:09Speaker 1: this lovable team that is somehow scrappy underdogs on the
- 37:13Speaker 1: verge of winning an NBA championship.
- 37:15Speaker 3: I don't want to hear how lovable they are.
- 37:17Speaker 1: You hated them for two decades, You made fun of
- 37:20Speaker 1: me and Nick fans for two decades. You cannot jump
- 37:23Speaker 1: on the bandwagon.
- 37:24Speaker 3: Not now. I am sorry.
- 37:26Speaker 1: Now, don't want to hear from Colin, and I certainly
- 37:29Speaker 1: don't want to hear from anyone else who wasn't a
- 37:31Speaker 1: Nick fan who made fun of Nick Vans for the
- 37:33Speaker 1: last two decades.
- 37:34Speaker 4: Go ahead, Taylor, Yeah, I have sound clips of Colin
- 37:37Speaker 4: Coward that will get for Monday of him at the
- 37:40Speaker 4: start of the playoffs, saying that Jalen Brunson isn't a
- 37:43Speaker 4: superstar that could take a team to a title, which
- 37:46Speaker 4: is kind of weird. We're three games away from said title.
- 37:49Speaker 1: Yes, well, in his defense, you closed your eyes once
- 37:51Speaker 1: and said you couldn't see Karl Anthony Towns winning a
- 37:54Speaker 1: championship with the Knicks to you right, because you're on
- 37:56Speaker 1: the level. Yes, you are the level a lot. What
- 38:00Speaker 1: has going quickly before the polls? What is going on
- 38:03Speaker 1: with Nick fans at Elmo?
- 38:04Speaker 3: So?
- 38:05Speaker 4: Elmo tweeted out before game one. Elmo hopes both teams
- 38:08Speaker 4: have fun and New Yorkers are enraged because Elmo Sesame
- 38:12Speaker 4: Street is in New York. Elmo, show some loyalty to
- 38:15Speaker 4: your city at one time and just tweet out, let's
- 38:18Speaker 4: go Nicks.
- 38:20Speaker 3: We're looking for anyone. If it's not Colin, it's Almo.
- 38:26Speaker 5: Somebody's gonna throw Oscar that grouch through his front window
- 38:28Speaker 5: or something.
- 38:30Speaker 1: We are so sensitive, ads to God seven nine the
- 38:33Speaker 1: odd Ax. Let's wrap up the week the way we
- 38:35Speaker 1: always do with the poll results.
- 38:37Speaker 3: Taylor, go ahead, take it away. I'll look at that.
- 38:39Speaker 3: I was saying with music Man.
- 38:42Speaker 4: Do the Rams lead the league in going all in.
- 38:45Speaker 3: Yes, I mean yes, I've got you discute it. They're
- 38:48Speaker 3: all in. I mean no, one's more all in every
- 38:50Speaker 3: year than the.
- 38:51Speaker 4: RAM overwhelming ninety seven percent. What sounds better coach fire
- 38:58Speaker 4: or coach sacked?
- 39:00Speaker 1: Coach sack, no question about it. Yeah, it's a soccer term,
- 39:03Speaker 1: right when they sacked the coach? Yes, I like sack better. Mikey,
- 39:06Speaker 1: you like sack better?
- 39:08Speaker 4: Yeah? I think it's an English term, not a.
- 39:10Speaker 3: Soccer Termah okay, sorry, same thing.
- 39:14Speaker 4: Seventy two percent of the audience said sacked sounds better?
- 39:17Speaker 3: All right?
- 39:19Speaker 4: Should the World Cup have to wait to start until
- 39:21Speaker 4: the next season is over?
- 39:22Speaker 3: Yep? It should. We've been waiting for this for a
- 39:25Speaker 3: long time.
- 39:25Speaker 1: I don't like this no rest between games, shortened scheduled. Nope,
- 39:29Speaker 1: let's take our time and enjoy this. What are we
- 39:31Speaker 1: going to rush for to see no goals go ahead?
- 39:34Speaker 4: Sixty four percent of the audience said yes, it should wait.
- 39:38Speaker 4: Good audience statue of liberty. What a weird gift.
- 39:44Speaker 3: I forgot about that.
- 39:47Speaker 4: Michelle Beatle.
- 39:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 39:51Speaker 4: Seventy five percent of the audience said yes, yep. Final
- 39:55Speaker 4: poll this week was the was that the greatest three
- 39:57Speaker 4: point game in NBA History by Josh harr.
- 40:00Speaker 3: It was yeah, no doubt, yes.
- 40:03Speaker 4: Sixty one percent in the audience said yes, all right,
- 40:05Speaker 4: those are the polls.
- 40:06Speaker 3: All right, those are the polls. Have a great weekend.
- 40:08Speaker 3: Everyone go next
