THESE WOMEN by Ivy Pochoda, a Crime Novel
I interviewed Ivy Pochoda about her crime novel, THESE WOMEN, when it came out in May. THESE WOMEN explores the lives of five women connected by murders in South Central Los Angeles. With its diverse cast of women characters, Pochoda, presents a gritty and nuanced story of their dreams, their grief, and their frustration as they struggle for agency and to be heard.
Ivy Pochoda is the author of four novels. She teaches creative writing at the Studio 526 Skid Row, a community arts and cultural platform in Los Angeles’ Skid Row neighborhood.
