- 0:05Speaker 1: Welcome to Just the Cats with Michael Bennett.
- 0:23Speaker 2: About what am I doing? I hadn't even started the show.
- 0:27Speaker 2: I'm already giving the numbers out, Hello.
- 0:31Speaker 3: The Cats.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Well, I mean, what the heck? Man, Yes, I'm coming.
- 0:34Speaker 2: I just I just got that, literally, just got the text.
- 0:37Speaker 2: I don't know why it's delayed.
- 0:39Speaker 4: Your phone so slow.
- 0:40Speaker 2: I am checking in and all of a sudden, you comment,
- 0:43Speaker 2: you comment, go, go go. It's like, dude, let me
- 0:46Speaker 2: just yes, I'm coming. I'm all frazzled now. But my
- 0:50Speaker 2: name is Michael Bennett and I am flustered. Okay I am.
- 0:54Speaker 2: I am a re covering flustered Jason kaylin I I
- 0:58Speaker 2: just want you to know that right now. Yes, you
- 1:00Speaker 2: you heard me correctly. I'm flustered. Now you you tend me,
- 1:04Speaker 2: you tell me on your crosstalk. I'm sad. I'm not sad.
- 1:08Speaker 2: I'm happy and now I'm getting flustered. I'm flustered today.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Now at this point, what a great way to start
- 1:13Speaker 2: a show. By the way, you called me Jason, I did.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Oh gosh, man, Okay, now I'm really lost. We go
- 1:20Speaker 2: let's restart. Yeah, no, we're not doing that. Justin I
- 1:24Speaker 2: know you know what I know what your name is. Okay,
- 1:27Speaker 2: so just leave it alone. But uh, Bibo two three
- 1:29Speaker 2: eight four fourteen fifty if you want to call it
- 1:32Speaker 2: babo two fourteen fifty. If you want to text in
- 1:35Speaker 2: on the whisky peep text, I only tweet me it
- 1:36Speaker 2: just cat radio. Uh yeah, good lord. I don't know
- 1:41Speaker 2: why I know what your name is, but for some reason,
- 1:44Speaker 2: every now and then I call you something completely different.
- 1:47Speaker 3: And why that is? I have no idea.
- 1:49Speaker 4: There's somebody else in my life that I deal with
- 1:52Speaker 4: frequently that calls me Jason from time to time, and
- 1:56Speaker 4: I cannot seriously, I cannot think of who it is
- 1:59Speaker 4: that's gonna bug me all morning.
- 2:01Speaker 3: That's interesting, all right, So now you have two people
- 2:04Speaker 3: that do this.
- 2:06Speaker 4: I do like the name Jason better than Justin, for
- 2:08Speaker 4: what it's worth. Do you really why is that? I
- 2:13Speaker 4: don't know. I've just I've never been crazy about my name.
- 2:16Speaker 4: I don't. I don't. I'm not in love with the
- 2:18Speaker 4: name Justin.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Well, I'm sorry you feel that way. I will have
- 2:23Speaker 3: to change those.
- 2:25Speaker 4: My middle name is Michael. I always wish I would
- 2:27Speaker 4: have I like that.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Oh, can you imagine the Michael and Michael show.
- 2:31Speaker 4: No, I mean, yeah, I would be Mike, And actually
- 2:35Speaker 4: i'd probably be MJ because my dad's name's Mike, so
- 2:38Speaker 4: I would just I would have just went by MJ.
- 2:39Speaker 4: Mike Junior.
- 2:42Speaker 3: MJ reminds me of Michael Jordan's so you.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Can't do that, So you know, I would have been great. Oh, oh, absolutely,
- 2:50Speaker 2: the greatest. I mean, are you kidding me? The greatest
- 2:52Speaker 2: Mike out there? But no, we're not. We're not going
- 2:55Speaker 2: to be calling you Mike. But you can still change
- 2:57Speaker 2: it now. You can just say, you know, my name
- 2:59Speaker 2: is Mike. Hey, my name's I can't. I mean, we're
- 3:01Speaker 2: thirty six years into this thing. I can't still switch down.
- 3:04Speaker 2: I don't think it matters. That's you know. I had
- 3:07Speaker 2: a conversation with somebody last week that is one of
- 3:10Speaker 2: the most for I think I've talked about this before
- 3:12Speaker 2: with you. One of the most frustrating things that happens
- 3:15Speaker 2: to me is I'll go and introduce myself to somebody
- 3:18Speaker 2: and I'll say my name is Michael Bennett and they
- 3:20Speaker 2: immediately start calling me Mike.
- 3:24Speaker 4: I mean because I would say, ninety five percent of
- 3:26Speaker 4: Michael's go by Mike.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Yeah, but I just said Michael. So you partially listened
- 3:33Speaker 2: to my name. Why would you say, uh, you know,
- 3:37Speaker 2: all right, if your name was Robert and I immediately
- 3:40Speaker 2: called you Bobby, I mean, where are we coming from?
- 3:45Speaker 4: I mean, I don't get it. That's a little bit different.
- 3:48Speaker 4: Now if you were to call me if I told
- 3:50Speaker 4: you my name was Robert and you called me rob, Yeah,
- 3:53Speaker 4: I don't think I would necessarily have an issue with that.
- 3:55Speaker 3: You wouldn't, Okay, Well, people are.
- 3:57Speaker 4: Just humans are lazy. We like the shortened things.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Oh that's it.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Yeah, Because I know I remember going to I think
- 4:04Speaker 2: it was a taco bell and the guy's like, yeah,
- 4:07Speaker 2: I'm sorry, I'm not gonna type in Michael for your name.
- 4:11Speaker 2: It's like, well, that's my name, though, He goes, I'm
- 4:12Speaker 2: gonna put Mike in for you. Okay, I'm like, that's.
- 4:15Speaker 3: Not my name.
- 4:15Speaker 4: Four letters, verse seven.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Yeah, but you what is it take him two more
- 4:20Speaker 2: seconds to type in Michael. I mean, come on anyway,
- 4:24Speaker 2: I just kind of looked at him. It's like, Okay,
- 4:25Speaker 2: whatever you want, dude, if you want to just do that,
- 4:27Speaker 2: that's fine, right.
- 4:31Speaker 3: You know.
- 4:31Speaker 2: The funny party, well, I mean the funny part is
- 4:35Speaker 2: when he when he called my name, my food was ready.
- 4:37Speaker 2: I just kind of stood there for a minute. He goes, Oh,
- 4:41Speaker 2: I'm sorry, Michael. I just I just smiled when I
- 4:44Speaker 2: went to pick it up. I just I said, dude,
- 4:45Speaker 2: I'm just messing with you. So I did have fun
- 4:48Speaker 2: with that. But can I ask you a question?
- 4:51Speaker 4: No?
- 4:52Speaker 3: Okay, good? Uh, let's talk about our first topic for
- 4:55Speaker 3: the day.
- 4:55Speaker 2: So yesterday I found out that one of my credit
- 4:59Speaker 2: cards extended my credit limit, so they gave me a meaning,
- 5:05Speaker 2: they gave me a higher number to spend, and I
- 5:09Speaker 2: don't like that. They didn't ask me number one and
- 5:11Speaker 2: they just did it automatically. So I go to call
- 5:14Speaker 2: them and I have to go through a whole process
- 5:17Speaker 2: to get approved for a lower credit limit. Is that
- 5:22Speaker 2: the most ridiculous thing you've ever heard of in your life?
- 5:25Speaker 2: I'm not I am not exaggerating. I asked the guy.
- 5:28Speaker 2: I said, wait a minute, you would ahead and approved
- 5:32Speaker 2: me for a higher limit. I'm asking it to be lower,
- 5:36Speaker 2: and you're telling me I have to go through the
- 5:38Speaker 2: whole process again.
- 5:39Speaker 3: This makes no sense.
- 5:41Speaker 4: I guess my confusion right now comes from your end.
- 5:45Speaker 4: I don't know why you would go through with all
- 5:48Speaker 4: that if you want the credit limit to be a
- 5:50Speaker 4: certain number, then just don't go over that number. Why
- 5:55Speaker 4: do you have to go through the whole process to
- 5:56Speaker 4: get it lowered back down?
- 5:58Speaker 3: That's my question exactly. So they went ahead.
- 6:03Speaker 2: So I had a certain amount that I could spend
- 6:05Speaker 2: on my credit card. Well I got a notification that, oh,
- 6:07Speaker 2: mister Bennett, by the way, we extended, we made the
- 6:10Speaker 2: amount higher for you. It's like, no, I don't want that.
- 6:14Speaker 2: So they want ahead on their own and made my
- 6:16Speaker 2: credit limit a lot higher. And it's like, never asked me.
- 6:22Speaker 2: So at this point now I called them and said
- 6:25Speaker 2: I don't want that. I want my number to be
- 6:28Speaker 2: lower than what you're giving me. And well, what's your
- 6:31Speaker 2: annual salary? What It's like, wait a minute, are you
- 6:34Speaker 2: going through a whole credit report again? Yes, sir, It's
- 6:37Speaker 2: like I didn't ask for the the amount to go higher.
- 6:42Speaker 2: Why are you asking me to go through a credit
- 6:44Speaker 2: report when I'm wanting it to go lower.
- 6:48Speaker 4: So you're just upset that they made changes without your consent.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Absolutely, I don't want to have a higher limit on
- 6:56Speaker 2: my credit card. But like I said, you don't have
- 6:58Speaker 2: to use that, Like you know, why yeah, but you
- 7:01Speaker 2: know why I don't want to hire amount. What if
- 7:04Speaker 2: somebody got into my credit card and just maxed it out.
- 7:07Speaker 2: That's why I don't want it to be that high.
- 7:09Speaker 4: How are they going to do that?
- 7:12Speaker 2: How do any scammer get onto your credit card and
- 7:14Speaker 2: all that kind of information?
- 7:15Speaker 4: If any of those situations ever happened, then you can
- 7:20Speaker 4: you can dispute it, and it's all gonna come back
- 7:22Speaker 4: to you. So really, at the end of the day,
- 7:23Speaker 4: it doesn't matter.
- 7:25Speaker 2: But then I got to dispute it again. I just
- 7:27Speaker 2: don't want high numbers on my credit card. I want
- 7:30Speaker 2: loan numbers. I just don't I don't know. I don't
- 7:32Speaker 2: use them that much. So it's like I don't need
- 7:35Speaker 2: to have a big number on my credit card, so
- 7:36Speaker 2: I want it smaller.
- 7:41Speaker 3: How is that unique?
- 7:43Speaker 4: I just don't want it because you know what the
- 7:45Speaker 4: number was before they increased it. So just don't go
- 7:48Speaker 4: over that number.
- 7:51Speaker 3: Okay, all right, I give up with you.
- 7:53Speaker 2: I to me, it's simple math fraud exactly. I'm worried
- 7:58Speaker 2: about fraud. I don't want somebody to get in there
- 7:59Speaker 2: and spin a bunch of money on a credit card
- 8:02Speaker 2: and all of a sudden, it's like, well, wait a minute,
- 8:04Speaker 2: I didn't want that hire a number on my credit
- 8:06Speaker 2: card in the first place.
- 8:07Speaker 4: I know that sort of thing happens, but has it
- 8:09Speaker 4: happened to you.
- 8:10Speaker 2: It's never happened to me. But you know what, just
- 8:12Speaker 2: as soon as I say no, no, no, no, no.
- 8:14Speaker 4: Not freak out about it.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Well, yeah, because I didn't ask for the higher number
- 8:19Speaker 2: of the first place. I can't really frustrate it with
- 8:22Speaker 2: guys like dude, I don't want to go through a
- 8:24Speaker 2: whole credit Well, sir, I'm so sorry. It's like I'm
- 8:26Speaker 2: not asking for more money. I'm asking for less money.
- 8:29Speaker 2: I think I Wouldn't you want that? Don't you want that?
- 8:32Speaker 2: Out of your customers?
- 8:33Speaker 4: No, they want more money, so they I know that.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Yeah, twenty eight percent, whatever the percentage is today, I'm
- 8:39Speaker 2: not paying that.
- 8:40Speaker 3: It's like, good.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Lord, I'm not doing That's that's another reason I don't
- 8:44Speaker 2: want it, because you know what, just before you know,
- 8:47Speaker 2: it's like, oh, I spent a little more than I
- 8:50Speaker 2: thought this month, and I don't want to do that.
- 8:52Speaker 5: Now.
- 8:52Speaker 2: All of a sudden, you got if you're not paying
- 8:54Speaker 2: off the credit card like I try to do every month,
- 8:57Speaker 2: I and you know, sometimes I make a mistake forgeting
- 9:00Speaker 2: pay a bill and it's like, oops, there goes that.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Now I just paid over twenty percent interest rate. That's
- 9:06Speaker 2: another reason why I don't want it. There are multiple
- 9:08Speaker 2: reasons why I don't want it, and they all make
- 9:11Speaker 2: sense to me. And you know what that makes sense
- 9:12Speaker 2: to me. That's all that matters is it's your credit
- 9:15Speaker 2: making fun of me. I'm a unique for making funny.
- 9:18Speaker 2: I'm just trying to get an understanding. Well, because of
- 9:22Speaker 2: the fraud part. It's it's number one reason is the
- 9:24Speaker 2: fraud part. Because somebody could get in there and get
- 9:27Speaker 2: my credit card information and just max it.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Out, and I don't want to have to deal with
- 9:31Speaker 3: that fair enough.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Yeah, so my credit I have one credit card that
- 9:35Speaker 2: has a pretty big limit, but all the rest of
- 9:37Speaker 2: them they're small, and you don't.
- 9:38Speaker 4: Worry about that one getting maxed out from fraud.
- 9:41Speaker 3: I don't want multiple ones.
- 9:42Speaker 2: Yes, I do worry about that, but I don't want
- 9:44Speaker 2: multiple ones. Okay, that one is a different one because, uh,
- 9:49Speaker 2: you know that that company guarantees l fight against fraud.
- 9:52Speaker 2: So yeah, there you go, there there is uh guy, Yes,
- 9:58Speaker 2: well exactly, just the max, and we're not going to
- 10:01Speaker 2: maxim out here.
- 10:02Speaker 3: I listen. I am very.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Particular and what I spend, and I don't like spending
- 10:07Speaker 2: a lot. I like to keep everything at a low
- 10:09Speaker 2: price and even it out, and I negotiate.
- 10:13Speaker 3: Yes, I go to stores and negotiation. You know, it's funny.
- 10:15Speaker 2: My dad used to do it all the times, Like Dad,
- 10:17Speaker 2: they're not going to give you a discount, and you know,
- 10:19Speaker 2: nine times out of ten, wherever he was, they would
- 10:23Speaker 2: give him a discount no matter what. And so I've
- 10:25Speaker 2: gotten to a point now I do the same thing. Hey,
- 10:27Speaker 2: pretend I'm your dad, Pretend I'm your brother. Give me
- 10:30Speaker 2: a discount, and you know what they will give me.
- 10:32Speaker 2: I'll never forget. I think I was at a racetrack
- 10:35Speaker 2: not too long ago.
- 10:36Speaker 3: I was buying some.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Shirts and stuff for myself and my boys, and I
- 10:42Speaker 2: asked Leah, said, hey, what you got a discount. I'm
- 10:47Speaker 2: kind of a poor guy. Here, give me a discount.
- 10:49Speaker 2: And she's like, let me figure something out, and she
- 10:51Speaker 2: gave me a discount. And it's like it works. I
- 10:54Speaker 2: saw everywhere I go I asked for a discount.
- 10:56Speaker 4: I mean, if you know what to say, then I don't.
- 10:59Speaker 2: I'm always Tea give me something. Shoot, JamMan, it's it's
- 11:03Speaker 2: it's the best way to uh save money. You're just
- 11:06Speaker 2: looking at me like I'm an idiot.
- 11:07Speaker 4: Okay, fine, how's that any different from any other day?
- 11:11Speaker 3: Well that is fair enough to say that right there.
- 11:13Speaker 2: But anyway, Uh, all right, well let's go ahead and
- 11:17Speaker 2: talk about a couple of things.
- 11:18Speaker 3: Uh.
- 11:18Speaker 2: First of all, the big news yesterday Milan Milan Milan
- 11:23Speaker 2: or Milan that one.
- 11:25Speaker 4: I'm not sure.
- 11:26Speaker 3: Yeah, we're just gonna say Milan. I don't know how.
- 11:28Speaker 3: I kind of like that pronounce it.
- 11:29Speaker 4: I don't know how I can say mom Chilovich so perfectly.
- 11:32Speaker 4: But I have no idea what his first.
- 11:34Speaker 2: You think you don't know how you can say mom
- 11:36Speaker 2: Chilovich perfectly?
- 11:37Speaker 3: Look at me.
- 11:38Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know I'm saying it perfectly. But
- 11:41Speaker 2: the big news yesterday is that Tea removed his name.
- 11:43Speaker 2: I don't think we were necessarily too terribly surprised by
- 11:46Speaker 2: that move, mom Chilovich removing his name from the NBA yesterday. Now,
- 11:52Speaker 2: but but there now we're on mom Chilovich watch for
- 11:57Speaker 2: who knows how long. Now it has been said, uh
- 12:00Speaker 2: and reported that Uh, it's he's going to be taking
- 12:04Speaker 2: the weekend and make his decision after that. So do
- 12:09Speaker 2: you think that is the case or is this going
- 12:11Speaker 2: to be a situation of Tyron Stokes just uh, you know,
- 12:14Speaker 2: egging it out for who knows how long.
- 12:17Speaker 4: I'm hoping that's the case, and I have no reason
- 12:19Speaker 4: to believe that it's not going to be, just because
- 12:22Speaker 4: if you think about the maturity of those two guys,
- 12:25Speaker 4: like Mom Chilovich is going to be a senior in
- 12:28Speaker 4: college versus Tyron Stokes, who was a senior in high school.
- 12:32Speaker 4: So obviously you would like to think that Milan will
- 12:35Speaker 4: go about it in a more mature way and he
- 12:37Speaker 4: will not string this thing along and make a pretty
- 12:40Speaker 4: quick decision.
- 12:41Speaker 3: At least that's the hope. Yeah, exactly.
- 12:44Speaker 2: Now here's the other thing that happened yesterday besides that
- 12:48Speaker 2: Rick Patino hold on tunday, Yes, AFU? Is that how
- 12:53Speaker 2: you pronounce it?
- 12:54Speaker 4: A role?
- 12:55Speaker 2: I'm getting it done and I'm going to tell you
- 12:58Speaker 2: right now. But yes announced yesterday, you know, the Baylor
- 13:02Speaker 2: player that he is going to take his name out
- 13:05Speaker 2: and he immediately signs with Saint John's and Rick Patino.
- 13:10Speaker 2: But here's the thing about that, that's a huge git
- 13:13Speaker 2: for Rick Patino. By the way, Yeah, uh Rick Patino
- 13:17Speaker 2: made or or somebody within Uh Saint John's said they
- 13:21Speaker 2: are still going to be pursuing mom Chilovic even though
- 13:26Speaker 2: they just signed Tom de Ysafu. Now they're bringing on
- 13:31Speaker 2: trying to still recruit him. I mean, who's gonna play.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Is it gonna be Yes or is it gonna be
- 13:38Speaker 2: mom Chilovich? And I am does Rick Patino? Is he
- 13:44Speaker 2: really against Mark Pope and is just trying to just
- 13:48Speaker 2: mess with him? I just my goodness, this is just
- 13:52Speaker 2: if if he gets If Rick Patino gets mom Chilovich,
- 13:58Speaker 2: how do you think Mark Pope is gonna feel?
- 14:01Speaker 4: I mean, he might start resenting him a little bit, right,
- 14:04Speaker 4: I mean it'd be hard to do that, because that
- 14:06Speaker 4: was your coach.
- 14:06Speaker 3: That's what I thought, sneaking him.
- 14:09Speaker 4: That was the That's interesting to hear that because I
- 14:12Speaker 4: didn't That was the one piece of information with all
- 14:14Speaker 4: this stuff that I didn't know. I don't know how
- 14:16Speaker 4: Saint John's roster sets up. I'm not I'm not in
- 14:19Speaker 4: the know with all that stuff. So I didn't even
- 14:21Speaker 4: know if they had room still for mom Chilovich. I
- 14:23Speaker 4: figured with him bringing in Yesufu, he would be the
- 14:26Speaker 4: mom Chilovich of this of this class. But if there's
- 14:29Speaker 4: still rumors out there that they're gonna go after him,
- 14:31Speaker 4: then that makes it really interesting.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Absolutely, And I thought, my goodness, Rick Patino has it
- 14:39Speaker 2: out for his former captain and player on the ninety
- 14:42Speaker 2: six basketball team. Is it's like, man, that is just
- 14:46Speaker 2: that's gonna hurt a lot. If mom Chilovich signs with
- 14:50Speaker 2: Saint John's. I mean that's gonna hurt a lot for
- 14:52Speaker 2: Mark Pope. That's gonna hurt a lot for the fan base,
- 14:55Speaker 2: probably even more so. And uh, I think this is
- 15:00Speaker 2: is this is a deal or no deal. I mean,
- 15:04Speaker 2: this is a make or break time as far as
- 15:06Speaker 2: I'm concerned. If if Mark Pope can get him, great,
- 15:09Speaker 2: If he can't, then man, I worry about the day's
- 15:13Speaker 2: there is starting to count with for Mark Pope.
- 15:15Speaker 4: Well, what was the backup plan? It was, yes, the food.
- 15:20Speaker 2: It was.
- 15:20Speaker 3: So he's gone.
- 15:21Speaker 4: If mom chilovinch goes elsewhere, whether that be Saint John's
- 15:25Speaker 4: or Arizona, I still don't think there's any shot he
- 15:28Speaker 4: goes to Louisville. But if he goes to one of
- 15:29Speaker 4: those two schools. What do you do?
- 15:31Speaker 6: Then?
- 15:32Speaker 4: Where do you go? From that point?
- 15:34Speaker 2: I nobody's left as far as I'm concerned. I think
- 15:37Speaker 2: I think at that point you're done with everybody that's
- 15:39Speaker 2: going to be joining the team. And then and now
- 15:42Speaker 2: you just think, Okay, what's going to happen here? And
- 15:45Speaker 2: so it's gonna be interesting a weekend. I'm sure it's
- 15:49Speaker 2: gonna be long, long weekend for one Mark Pope, but
- 15:52Speaker 2: in a lot of the fan base within Big Blue Nations.
- 15:55Speaker 3: So we'll see what happens.
- 15:56Speaker 2: But we're gonna take our first break five O two
- 15:58Speaker 2: three four fourteen fifty. If you want to call in
- 16:00Speaker 2: five O two four one four fourteen fifty, if you
- 16:03Speaker 2: want to text in on the Whiskey Thief, text linery,
- 16:05Speaker 2: tweet me at just the Cat Radio. That was That
- 16:07Speaker 2: might have been one of the fastest segments we've ever
- 16:09Speaker 2: had right there. I don't know why. But for some reason,
- 16:13Speaker 2: okay why because we came on like three minutes late.
- 16:16Speaker 3: Oh is that it?
- 16:17Speaker 4: Our cross talk went a little long today? We didn't
- 16:20Speaker 4: start talking.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Oh, so you're gonna blame me for the crosstalk because
- 16:24Speaker 2: you said I was sad.
- 16:25Speaker 4: Was that me pass and blame? No? I just said, yeah, talk.
- 16:27Speaker 3: That was you.
- 16:28Speaker 2: Yeah, that was you inadvertently passing to blame to me.
- 16:31Speaker 2: You just don't recognize it yet. We'll talk about that
- 16:33Speaker 2: in our therapy. No, I'm not sensitive, We're I think
- 16:37Speaker 2: you and I need to start a couple's therapy, though,
- 16:39Speaker 2: I will say that I'm out alright, but you know
- 16:44Speaker 2: we're a bit of a couple. Now come on, we're
- 16:47Speaker 2: gonna take a break now, anyway, I need a break
- 16:50Speaker 2: after that comment.
- 16:51Speaker 3: But we'll stay right there a lot more. Just the
- 16:53Speaker 3: cat's coming right out here.
- 17:29Speaker 4: Scanned sales.
- 17:40Speaker 2: To me, Molly Hatchett is one of those forgotten bands.
- 17:44Speaker 2: I I I grew up. I love Molly Hatchett. I
- 17:48Speaker 2: saw them in concert one time. It was at the
- 17:50Speaker 2: Derby Eve Jam in Freedom Hall years ago, and I
- 17:53Speaker 2: thought the coolest thing I never understood it. The coolest
- 17:57Speaker 2: thing is that they had two drummers.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Is there?
- 18:01Speaker 2: Explain you say that, But explain to me why a
- 18:05Speaker 2: band said, hey, you know what, one drummer is not enough.
- 18:08Speaker 2: We need two drummers. Why why the heck do you
- 18:10Speaker 2: need two drummers? We're trying to rock this out, Michael. Yeah,
- 18:13Speaker 2: but you know what I'm thinking, Man, one is good
- 18:16Speaker 2: enough because oh please don't do that again. Okay, I'm
- 18:20Speaker 2: glad we're not on YouTube today. No, no. But to me,
- 18:24Speaker 2: I'm thinking about the financial side of it. It's like, okay, well,
- 18:27Speaker 2: why don't we get two bass players. Why don't we
- 18:29Speaker 2: get like five guitarists and two lead singers. It's like,
- 18:32Speaker 2: we don't need all that. I want to get more
- 18:34Speaker 2: bang for my buck. We need one drummer, and we're
- 18:37Speaker 2: gonna make more money.
- 18:38Speaker 4: If you're rolling in the dough, it doesn't matter. Just
- 18:41Speaker 4: get it.
- 18:42Speaker 3: Yeah, but you could be rolling in more dough y not.
- 18:45Speaker 4: Everybody's so greedy.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Also, I'm greedy. That's what it is.
- 18:51Speaker 2: It comes down to Michael Bennet only wants one drummer
- 18:54Speaker 2: because he's greedy.
- 18:55Speaker 4: That's it sounds like it to me.
- 18:57Speaker 2: I just I've never understand the concept of a band
- 19:00Speaker 2: having two drummers, and they weren't the only.
- 19:02Speaker 4: One by the way, we I was not all that
- 19:04Speaker 4: familiar with Molly Hatchet let's say two three years ago,
- 19:09Speaker 4: that's fair. But then I started over at the other
- 19:11Speaker 4: station that I work at. We play a lot like
- 19:13Speaker 4: country or not. What do they call it?
- 19:15Speaker 3: Southern rock?
- 19:16Speaker 4: Southern rock? And so we play several Molly Hatchet songs.
- 19:19Speaker 4: So I've gotten to a point where I liked them
- 19:21Speaker 4: a lot. Do you really? Yeah?
- 19:23Speaker 2: All right, because I considered like Leonard Skinner thirty eight,
- 19:27Speaker 2: Special Almon Brothers. I'm trying to Charlie Daniels, I would
- 19:32Speaker 2: probably put on more of country or southern rock than
- 19:36Speaker 2: I would country. Trying to think, who are some other
- 19:39Speaker 2: really good? I know there are others out there. Marshall
- 19:44Speaker 2: Tucker Band is probably a good southern rock band.
- 19:49Speaker 3: There's there's a bunch, but those are probably my.
- 19:52Speaker 4: I'd probably consider Zeazy Top southern rock too.
- 19:55Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a good one.
- 19:56Speaker 2: I would say zz Top is southern rock, even though
- 19:58Speaker 2: they're from the Southwest. I don't consider Texas in the South. Okay,
- 20:03Speaker 2: it's one of those weird things. Now, don't give me
- 20:05Speaker 2: a hard time about it. I don't consider Missouri, Arkansas.
- 20:10Speaker 2: They're they're out west. They're not in the South.
- 20:14Speaker 4: I mean, I don't even want to go down this
- 20:16Speaker 4: road today. I really don't.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Yeah, well, Kentucky's in the South, so get over see.
- 20:21Speaker 4: I knew that's what that was going to lead to.
- 20:23Speaker 4: And I just I don't want to do it. I
- 20:25Speaker 4: don't want to do it.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Okay, all right then, uh, all right, I do want
- 20:29Speaker 2: to talk about this.
- 20:30Speaker 6: Uh.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Senator Dead Cruise and Senator Maria Cantwell introduced a bipartisan
- 20:37Speaker 2: legislation called the Protect College Sport Act.
- 20:41Speaker 3: Did you see this?
- 20:42Speaker 4: I saw the headline. I did not read into it.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Yeah, and uh, what they're doing it will allow for
- 20:51Speaker 2: a one time transfer. It's a hundred by the way,
- 20:54Speaker 2: it's one hundred and ten pages. I just want you
- 20:56Speaker 2: to know I did not read one hundred and ten pages. Okay, So,
- 21:00Speaker 2: but essentially, what it's trying to do is one time
- 21:03Speaker 2: transfer for athletes five years of eligibility. They call it
- 21:09Speaker 2: the Lane Kiffin Rule, preventing coaches from leaving mid season.
- 21:13Speaker 2: And they are banning pro players, including international pro players.
- 21:20Speaker 2: So I like the sound of this, and I thought, okay,
- 21:25Speaker 2: this is going to be something that could be accepted now,
- 21:29Speaker 2: you know, yesterday, because they've got all their Southeastern Conference
- 21:33Speaker 2: meetings going down. And where is it Alabama, Florida, Afriget,
- 21:36Speaker 2: it's on the coast. I always love it when they're
- 21:38Speaker 2: being interviewed in the beaches in the background and they're
- 21:41Speaker 2: in their coat and ties.
- 21:42Speaker 3: It's like, what are you doing? Put on some shorts
- 21:44Speaker 3: and a shirt. Okay?
- 21:46Speaker 2: And Paul Fine Bomb head Greg Sankeye, I'm the SEC
- 21:49Speaker 2: Commissioner on yesterday, and he started making fun of it
- 21:52Speaker 2: a little bit, saying, you know, it's one hundred and
- 21:54Speaker 2: ten pages. It was supposed to be something really thin
- 21:56Speaker 2: and small. But I can't answer any question. She's like, well, then,
- 22:00Speaker 2: what are you doing on the pine Palm? Yeah, the
- 22:03Speaker 2: pine fine Bomb. I'd like that more, the fine Oil. Yeah,
- 22:09Speaker 2: that's what we should call him the Fine Pine Bomb Show.
- 22:13Speaker 2: And he said, I need to digest this before I
- 22:16Speaker 2: can comment any further. And I'm thinking, well, then why
- 22:20Speaker 2: are you on this show right now if you need
- 22:23Speaker 2: to digest it. The timing is off to wait another
- 22:26Speaker 2: day or two and then come back on so we
- 22:28Speaker 2: can find out what the SEC Commissioner has to say
- 22:32Speaker 2: about this. I don't see any negative negative processes with it,
- 22:37Speaker 2: other than the the athletes can come back and sue
- 22:43Speaker 2: the n C double A with this bill that they're presenting.
- 22:46Speaker 3: But here's the caveat with that, because.
- 22:53Speaker 2: Of the this this bill that they're introducing, the schools
- 22:58Speaker 2: or the nc double A would have sixty days to
- 23:01Speaker 2: look into the lawsuit before it could really actually get
- 23:05Speaker 2: to court. So there's a distinct advantage towards the NCAA
- 23:09Speaker 2: and schools for coming back towards these lawsuits and probably
- 23:16Speaker 2: with keep them from even happening. So it was interesting
- 23:20Speaker 2: to see that aspect of it. So I.
- 23:25Speaker 3: Just the rules are the rules.
- 23:28Speaker 2: I mean, they make the rules for a reason, and
- 23:31Speaker 2: you can't fluff them anymore. I mean, I think it's
- 23:34Speaker 2: fair that you get one time to transfer, you got
- 23:37Speaker 2: five years to play.
- 23:39Speaker 3: Where am I going wrong here with all of this.
- 23:42Speaker 2: I don't understand how players can think, well, I need
- 23:46Speaker 2: to transfer and I need to play ten years. It's like, listen,
- 23:50Speaker 2: you're either going to make it professionally after you get
- 23:53Speaker 2: a degree from college or you're not. And if you're
- 23:57Speaker 2: not gonna make it, you can't continue to play and
- 24:01Speaker 2: expect to get a paycheck ten years after you got
- 24:04Speaker 2: a degree. Let's move on. It's time to move on
- 24:07Speaker 2: with life. I mean, I I for the life of me.
- 24:10Speaker 2: I don't understand how these athletes are thinking they can
- 24:13Speaker 2: continue to play or go to the G League, but
- 24:16Speaker 2: then come back to college and it's just it's getting
- 24:20Speaker 2: out of hand and something has to be put in place.
- 24:23Speaker 2: Justin and I like these rules. I think these rules
- 24:26Speaker 2: should be implemented and they should be followed.
- 24:28Speaker 4: I mean players, in my opinion, players are just taking
- 24:31Speaker 4: advantage of a system that's broken right now. So I
- 24:34Speaker 4: don't I'm not placing any blame on the players that
- 24:37Speaker 4: want to play six seven years of college ball. That's
- 24:41Speaker 4: I think it's kind of a loser mentality. I'm with you, like,
- 24:43Speaker 4: go get a real job. But if you're telling me
- 24:46Speaker 4: that I can continue to just play college basketball and
- 24:49Speaker 4: get a million dollars a year or whatever it is
- 24:52Speaker 4: and I don't have to go into the real world
- 24:54Speaker 4: and get a real job, then that's the that's the
- 24:56Speaker 4: route that I'm gonna take as well. So until something
- 24:59Speaker 4: gets fixed, and in that regard, you're gonna continue to
- 25:02Speaker 4: see it happening because players are just gonna keep taking
- 25:04Speaker 4: advantage and I don't blame them for that. Now. The
- 25:06Speaker 4: one thing about this proposal, I love the exclusion of
- 25:14Speaker 4: the foreign players. I love that. I'm not against the
- 25:18Speaker 4: foreign players. I know they've got a heck of a
- 25:21Speaker 4: lot of talent overseas. But I just feel like the
- 25:24Speaker 4: way that we've gone about things. I mean, look at
- 25:27Speaker 4: Illinois last year, for instance, like their whole team was
- 25:30Speaker 4: a foreign guys. Like, I don't want to see that anymore.
- 25:33Speaker 4: I want to see the American guys get an opportunity
- 25:35Speaker 4: at the college level. And then if they don't get
- 25:38Speaker 4: drafted at the end of the day and NBA teams
- 25:40Speaker 4: are going after these Europeans or whatnot and that's who
- 25:44Speaker 4: they want to draft, then so be it should have
- 25:46Speaker 4: been a little better.
- 25:48Speaker 2: Is there anything that you think needs to be added?
- 25:51Speaker 2: Because I looked into this and I'm like, I don't
- 25:53Speaker 2: think I see anything other than it just needs to
- 25:56Speaker 2: make certain that we can in these rules. That's my
- 26:02Speaker 2: only concern right there, because, Uh, for some reason, the
- 26:05Speaker 2: n CUBA has just become so weak at anything they
- 26:10Speaker 2: do that everybody's just taking advantage of them. The coaches
- 26:13Speaker 2: are taking advantage of the schools are taking advantage of
- 26:15Speaker 2: the NCAA as well as now athletes are taking advantage
- 26:19Speaker 2: of the NCUBA. I just how the heck are they
- 26:21Speaker 2: going to be able to enforce this is my biggest question?
- 26:24Speaker 4: Was this the same proposal that included a salary cap
- 26:28Speaker 4: to or No.
- 26:29Speaker 2: They didn't say anything about salary caps. I think that
- 26:32Speaker 2: is comming.
- 26:33Speaker 4: I had seen something about that yesterday. I don't remember where,
- 26:35Speaker 4: but yeah, I mean, yeah, even if you go that route, though,
- 26:39Speaker 4: we've always cheated in college sports across the board of
- 26:43Speaker 4: college sports. So if you internet, if you implement a
- 26:47Speaker 4: salary cap, there's still gonna be back channel deals that
- 26:51Speaker 4: are going on that.
- 26:52Speaker 1: No.
- 26:52Speaker 2: Absolutely, absolutely, well there listen, there's cheating in every career.
- 26:59Speaker 2: I mean they're they're is. I mean, there's cheating in
- 27:02Speaker 2: the media. There's all kinds of stuff. I mean, people
- 27:04Speaker 2: are finding out stuff the way they're not supposed to
- 27:06Speaker 2: be finding out, and uh, they're there. It's just you're
- 27:10Speaker 2: never gonna stop that. And just like ed urge On,
- 27:13Speaker 2: you know, they will bringing in the suitcases down the
- 27:17Speaker 2: uh in the back door.
- 27:18Speaker 3: Now they're putting it in the front door. I mean,
- 27:20Speaker 3: and he was right.
- 27:22Speaker 2: It's funny how nobody ever went to Nick Saban and
- 27:25Speaker 2: asked about his comments. But uh, uh, and I don't
- 27:29Speaker 2: expect they ever will. But uh, I just I feel
- 27:32Speaker 2: like there's always going to be that aspect in anything
- 27:36Speaker 2: you do, and you're never going to be able to
- 27:38Speaker 2: stop that. But at least we have some guidelines and
- 27:42Speaker 2: and hopefully that uh everybody might not follow it to
- 27:47Speaker 2: the t, but at least they're, you know, they're leaning
- 27:51Speaker 2: towards that way. So I don't know how you're gonna
- 27:54Speaker 2: be able to do salar crap without making them employees.
- 27:57Speaker 3: And no college wants to make the employees. So here's
- 28:00Speaker 3: what's going to happen.
- 28:01Speaker 2: Soon as you start making football players basketball players employees,
- 28:06Speaker 2: that's when you're going to see a lot of minor sports,
- 28:09Speaker 2: like we're talking about yesterday, You're going to see them
- 28:12Speaker 2: go by the wayside. And that's going to be really
- 28:15Speaker 2: a shame because you look at for instance, it sounds
- 28:20Speaker 2: like I'm gonna be picking on them, but I'm clearly
- 28:22Speaker 2: not picking them because I really like Josh Hurd. But
- 28:25Speaker 2: Josh heard the athletic director at u of L went
- 28:28Speaker 2: to the board of trustees and says, you know, we're
- 28:31Speaker 2: really struggling with our thirty million dollar budget. We need
- 28:34Speaker 2: more help. Yet you look at u of l's basketball team,
- 28:37Speaker 2: who some say are spending upwards of thirty million for
- 28:41Speaker 2: their basketball team, and it's like a lot of people
- 28:43Speaker 2: are saying out there the math ain't doing the math
- 28:45Speaker 2: right now, and it's not mathing it up. None of
- 28:48Speaker 2: this makes any sense. So if you're thirty million dollars
- 28:51Speaker 2: in the whole and your athletic department and your basketball
- 28:55Speaker 2: team is spending that much and no telling how much
- 28:58Speaker 2: the football team is spending, you know there's gonna be
- 29:01Speaker 2: a lot of things that have to go by the wayside.
- 29:03Speaker 2: That's gonna be a lot of the support staff in
- 29:06Speaker 2: the athletic department, and that's gonna include a lot of
- 29:10Speaker 2: what we like to call the Olympics type sports, and
- 29:14Speaker 2: that's gonna be a shame. I think women's basketball will last.
- 29:18Speaker 2: I think possibly women's volleyball will last. But what's gonna
- 29:23Speaker 2: happen with Title nine? And is that gonna be fought
- 29:28Speaker 2: really hard? It's like, well, we can't afford it. What
- 29:30Speaker 2: do you want me to do?
- 29:31Speaker 4: It's almost like, man, we could have thought about all
- 29:34Speaker 4: this before we open Pandora's box, and now we're stuck
- 29:38Speaker 4: in a position where we're trying to figure it out
- 29:41Speaker 4: why all this stuff is actively going on.
- 29:43Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's way too late to be figuring out
- 29:46Speaker 2: right now you should have thought about this before it happened,
- 29:49Speaker 2: and nobody expected to go this way. But here we
- 29:52Speaker 2: are today and it's it's it's gonna be really a shame,
- 29:56Speaker 2: and I uh uh, I don't know how to figure
- 30:00Speaker 2: it out at this point. And uh it's just gonna
- 30:03Speaker 2: be difficult, and some unfortunate, difficult decisions are gonna have
- 30:08Speaker 2: to be made that are gonna hurt a lot of athletes.
- 30:10Speaker 2: I heard a lot of sports and heard a lot
- 30:12Speaker 2: of coaches. I just I'm trying to figure out what
- 30:15Speaker 2: sports would go first, because it's gonna happen.
- 30:20Speaker 4: Water polo, see you see you later, water polo.
- 30:25Speaker 2: I don't see baseball or softball? Is it track and field?
- 30:31Speaker 2: You don't think so? They don't make any kind of
- 30:32Speaker 2: a generating kind of money.
- 30:34Speaker 4: My first thought would be like a tennis.
- 30:37Speaker 2: Maybe tennis, Okay, yeah, I don't know. It's just gonna
- 30:43Speaker 2: be it's.
- 30:43Speaker 4: Gonna up a great point with the title nine because
- 30:47Speaker 4: if if you got to start cutting sports and you've
- 30:49Speaker 4: got to keep title nine in mind, it's gonna be
- 30:52Speaker 4: a nightmare and a headache for somebody.
- 30:54Speaker 2: Well it could it be cheerleading, Could it be dance?
- 30:57Speaker 2: Could it be any of those things right there? It
- 30:59Speaker 2: just bees who knows what's gonna happen, But uh, it's
- 31:03Speaker 2: gonna be a tough way to go when that starts happening.
- 31:05Speaker 2: So we gotta take another break. If you want to
- 31:07Speaker 2: call in Fible two three four fourteen fifty, you want
- 31:10Speaker 2: to text in, I'll get to your text as soon
- 31:12Speaker 2: as we get back on the Whiskey Thief text line
- 31:14Speaker 2: Fible two four one four fourteen fifty, or tweet me
- 31:17Speaker 2: at just a Cat Radio stay right there. We got
- 31:18Speaker 2: a lot more at Just the Cat's coming up.
- 31:53Speaker 3: The Devil went down to Georgia. He was looking for
- 31:55Speaker 3: a solda steel. He was in a banga. Okay, that's enough.
- 31:59Speaker 2: Okay, I'm the only one that hears you, and it's
- 32:01Speaker 2: frustrating me now, so okay, you're going there the whole
- 32:05Speaker 2: entire lyric there.
- 32:06Speaker 3: By the way, I'm kind of hot again, today? Is that?
- 32:10Speaker 3: Is that me? Okay? Sorry about that.
- 32:12Speaker 4: My studio is burning up.
- 32:15Speaker 2: I was talking about my mic. But uh okay, now, yeah,
- 32:18Speaker 2: you're right. I don't know why I didn't change anything.
- 32:20Speaker 2: I promise you haven't touched a single thing on this
- 32:22Speaker 2: Uh okay, it'll I just it's fine, it will okay, good,
- 32:26Speaker 2: all right? Then, oh it is okay. Well, everybody loves technology,
- 32:30Speaker 2: especially when you get to a certain age. Let's get
- 32:32Speaker 2: to the text line five two four one four fourteen fifty.
- 32:36Speaker 2: That's too hot. I mean, it's just driving me nuts,
- 32:38Speaker 2: all right, dan uh? One person said, Uh, which one
- 32:41Speaker 2: of you guys throws down in the kitchen better? I
- 32:43Speaker 2: feel like Michael secretively bought himself his own chef's at
- 32:48Speaker 2: for home and makes two flays for anyone that comes over.
- 32:51Speaker 2: They can't say no to it either. Then again, Scoots
- 32:54Speaker 2: has probably taught himself a thing or two. At least
- 32:58Speaker 2: his food takes uh seen uh to make more sense?
- 33:06Speaker 3: Who do you think is better in the kitchen?
- 33:08Speaker 4: You were me? I think it's you, and I don't
- 33:11Speaker 4: think it's close why. I mean, if you want to
- 33:15Speaker 4: give me credit for making like ramen noodles or tuna
- 33:20Speaker 4: salad or man, I'm your guy. But if it's something complex,
- 33:24Speaker 4: I don't.
- 33:25Speaker 3: I love that kind of stuff.
- 33:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I just don't spend time in the kitchen.
- 33:29Speaker 3: I mean I find it.
- 33:30Speaker 4: I find it much easier to just pop into a
- 33:32Speaker 4: fast food restaurant grab me something and and go on home.
- 33:36Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, well yeah, because I like trying stuff, so
- 33:39Speaker 2: I would have to say it's me too.
- 33:41Speaker 3: I mean I would.
- 33:42Speaker 2: I mean, I I don't know, because you always say
- 33:44Speaker 2: you never go to the grocery. You're buying stuff, so
- 33:46Speaker 2: I know you're not cooking. So from that standpoint, it's
- 33:48Speaker 2: definitely me.
- 33:49Speaker 4: I go to the grocery like three times, four times
- 33:51Speaker 4: a year.
- 33:53Speaker 3: I don't know how you eat.
- 33:55Speaker 4: I don't. I don't eat a lot. I'll tell you really,
- 34:00Speaker 4: you just drink a lot. I gotta save all my
- 34:01Speaker 4: calories for fireballs firefall.
- 34:04Speaker 3: I just don't get that. See.
- 34:05Speaker 2: I love to grill, I love to smoke meat and no,
- 34:10Speaker 2: I just I love all kinds. Of course, you know
- 34:12Speaker 2: my whole bread making thing, which I got to get
- 34:14Speaker 2: back into. My wife's giving me a hard time about that. Okay,
- 34:17Speaker 2: I'll make you one. Just settle down about it. What
- 34:19Speaker 2: do you want, by the way you want that?
- 34:22Speaker 3: Okay? All right, then we'll figure it out, Josh text
- 34:24Speaker 3: it out.
- 34:25Speaker 2: Michael is upset because his favorite restaurant is closing in
- 34:29Speaker 2: ks Bar.
- 34:29Speaker 3: If your shortening names scoot.
- 34:31Speaker 2: Your name is just instead of justinn't laugh out loud.
- 34:37Speaker 3: Just uh, yeah, I heard that.
- 34:42Speaker 2: I you know, I texted out yesterday or tweeted out
- 34:44Speaker 2: yesterday a picture of me in front of that place,
- 34:49Speaker 2: and uh uh and some one person gave me a
- 34:52Speaker 2: little bit of a hard time, but it was just
- 34:55Speaker 2: a joke, and uh, I was.
- 34:57Speaker 3: Sad to see that.
- 34:59Speaker 2: I'm not gonna lie, so yeah, because I've got friends
- 35:01Speaker 2: that invested in that company, so I'm sorry to hear that.
- 35:06Speaker 2: I thought the excuses were a little unusual. But no,
- 35:10Speaker 2: I mean, if it's food costs, and why are all
- 35:12Speaker 2: these other restaurants succeeding. But I'm not gonna sit here
- 35:15Speaker 2: and make fun of that. But anytime I see any
- 35:19Speaker 2: business go out of business, I'm saddened by that. So yeah,
- 35:22Speaker 2: I'm with KOs bargoing on business. I'm very saddened by that.
- 35:26Speaker 2: So I feel bad for the manager and all the
- 35:29Speaker 2: people that work there. So hopefully they'll be able to
- 35:31Speaker 2: find something soon and they'll be okay. But yeah, as
- 35:35Speaker 2: far as I'm concerned, I hate it. So I never
- 35:40Speaker 2: went there, but that's okay. One person texted out one time,
- 35:45Speaker 2: I ask a girl to send me a picture of her.
- 35:50Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, she sent too.
- 35:52Speaker 2: I just sent her a nasty text telling her I
- 35:55Speaker 2: didn't ask for two. I get it, Michael. Okay, thank
- 35:59Speaker 2: you very much, appreciate that. I can't I can't read
- 36:02Speaker 2: the whole thing.
- 36:03Speaker 3: Okay.
- 36:04Speaker 2: I don't know why you think you're gonna trick me.
- 36:06Speaker 2: There there there's only been one text I've been tricked by.
- 36:09Speaker 2: I think it was Jamie that.
- 36:11Speaker 4: Didn't That is That's basically what you're saying with your
- 36:14Speaker 4: credit card situation.
- 36:16Speaker 3: It is it, it's fun okay.
- 36:23Speaker 2: Uh. Forty eight handily said a lot of real good
- 36:25Speaker 2: phillies are nasty in temperament.
- 36:27Speaker 3: They gotta be tough in the heat of the battle.
- 36:30Speaker 2: Yeah, but I've got one that is and one that isn't.
- 36:34Speaker 2: So one that's just as you know, as nice as
- 36:37Speaker 2: she can be, and you can love all over her.
- 36:39Speaker 2: The other one one second you can do it, the
- 36:41Speaker 2: next second she's biting you, not feeling the Patino Pope discussion. Uh,
- 36:46Speaker 2: is Patino's supposed to not recruit the guy because it
- 36:49Speaker 2: might hurt Pope. They're competing in every aspect that Yes, Yeah,
- 36:54Speaker 2: I'm right there, and I get it, but you know,
- 36:56Speaker 2: it's still it's still if you and I were co
- 37:00Speaker 2: peeding for something, justin and we continue to do it.
- 37:04Speaker 2: At some point, there's gonna be a chink in the chain,
- 37:08Speaker 2: and we're gonna have our don't I don't want to
- 37:12Speaker 2: say our feelings hurt, but we're gonna be a little
- 37:14Speaker 2: perturbed by one of them. Are one and another? Yeah, okay,
- 37:19Speaker 2: we are. It's just natural, sure, and I gotta expect
- 37:22Speaker 2: that Mark Pope might be a little upset or Rick
- 37:26Speaker 2: Patino might be a little upset because they're going up
- 37:28Speaker 2: to the same player and one person's gonna win.
- 37:30Speaker 4: Now, Potato's not upset because he's getting them all.
- 37:33Speaker 3: He is getting them all. That's the only thing.
- 37:37Speaker 2: I do You understand why anybody would want to go
- 37:40Speaker 2: to Saint John's. You play in Madison Square Garden and
- 37:45Speaker 2: you play for Rick Patino. But do many people attend
- 37:48Speaker 2: those games for Saint John's. I don't think they do.
- 37:50Speaker 2: I don't think they're well attended. And maybe you're getting
- 37:53Speaker 2: a big paycheck because of Mike Ropoli.
- 37:56Speaker 4: I don't know. I don't know how well attended their
- 37:58Speaker 4: games are.
- 38:00Speaker 2: I don't either, But to me, it would make more
- 38:02Speaker 2: sense to just go ahead and go to uh Kentucky
- 38:05Speaker 2: because you guess what Zach said. Y'all, y'all are late.
- 38:10Speaker 2: Oh sorry about that. Yeah, it wasn't my fault though,
- 38:14Speaker 2: that was just it was your brother's fault. Okay, what
- 38:16Speaker 2: will hurt worse? Milan to Saint John's or Milan to Louisville. Well,
- 38:22Speaker 2: here's the thing about it, Zach, He's not going to Louisville.
- 38:25Speaker 2: I just I see no way possible. I'm ninety nine
- 38:29Speaker 2: point nine percent positive he's not going to U of L.
- 38:32Speaker 2: There's no room for him. I mean, that's the reality
- 38:35Speaker 2: of it. There's no room for a guy like that.
- 38:38Speaker 2: I know you'd make room, but in his mind, there's
- 38:40Speaker 2: no room. Milan, mom Chilovich. He wants to go play
- 38:44Speaker 2: somewhere where he's going to play, and he's not gonna
- 38:47Speaker 2: play much there.
- 38:48Speaker 3: He'll play a lot. Okay, all right, if you say so.
- 38:51Speaker 2: Uh, this is Sig talking about the future of college football.
- 38:58Speaker 2: I don't remember what we're talking about. Oh it's a
- 39:00Speaker 2: Facebook post. Oh it is, Oh, okay, well I miss that.
- 39:04Speaker 2: So all right then, well I'm glad it's Sig talking
- 39:07Speaker 2: about college for the What is he saying about the
- 39:10Speaker 2: future of college football?
- 39:11Speaker 3: I mean, you're the eye, you guy. You should know this.
- 39:13Speaker 4: I was not aware that they were at Hubers last night,
- 39:16Speaker 4: or I probably would have tried to go, Oh they
- 39:18Speaker 4: were yep, dang it.
- 39:21Speaker 2: You didn't know they were at Huber's and you were
- 39:23Speaker 2: a gigantic IU fan.
- 39:25Speaker 4: I knew it was coming up. I just didn't know
- 39:27Speaker 4: it was this week.
- 39:29Speaker 3: So it was last night. Wow. Okay, when's the last
- 39:33Speaker 3: time you went to Hubers far.
- 39:35Speaker 4: Or probably twenty nineteen? Really I went to I actually
- 39:42Speaker 4: went to this event in twenty nineteen as a media.
- 39:44Speaker 3: Oh you did? Have you met Signal yet?
- 39:48Speaker 4: No? I don't know if I could.
- 39:51Speaker 3: Why.
- 39:52Speaker 4: I just think I'd be so scared, would you really?
- 39:55Speaker 2: He would be scared to meet him? I have to
- 39:59Speaker 2: understand why you would be.
- 40:00Speaker 4: He just feels so dang intimidy. I don't know. I
- 40:04Speaker 4: think i'd be shaking like a leaf? Would you really bear?
- 40:09Speaker 2: I can honestly say I and maybe I'm wrong. I
- 40:13Speaker 2: don't think there's anybody out there I would be scared
- 40:17Speaker 2: to meet.
- 40:18Speaker 4: I mean, this dude just turned Indiana, who was the
- 40:20Speaker 4: worst college football program of all time, into a sixteen
- 40:23Speaker 4: O national champion. If that doesn't freak you out, then
- 40:27Speaker 4: I don't know what does no.
- 40:29Speaker 2: I agree with you there, But I wouldn't be scared
- 40:31Speaker 2: to meet him. I would be kind of a it'd
- 40:33Speaker 2: be kind of cool to meet him. It's not that
- 40:35Speaker 2: I would be an IU fan or anything like that,
- 40:37Speaker 2: but I certainly I listen. I am literally trying to
- 40:43Speaker 2: think of anybody i'd be scared to meet. There is
- 40:45Speaker 2: nobody out there i'd be scared to meet.
- 40:47Speaker 4: Now. Now, if I were to meet him on like
- 40:49Speaker 4: a let's say we're both on a resort and like
- 40:52Speaker 4: Cabo San Lucas, and we're like super relaxed, and I
- 40:55Speaker 4: like see him on the beach, maybe I wouldn't be
- 40:57Speaker 4: scared in that moment because of the setting. But yeah,
- 41:00Speaker 4: that's about the only only place that I could meet
- 41:02Speaker 4: him and wouldn't be intimidated.
- 41:04Speaker 2: I mean, the only coach I've met from IU has
- 41:07Speaker 2: been Tom Crane, and our boys were playing baseball against
- 41:12Speaker 2: each other over in New Albany, and I went over
- 41:14Speaker 2: there started talking to his wife and telling her how
- 41:18Speaker 2: much I really liked her dad. You know, her dad
- 41:20Speaker 2: used to be the coach ouh at Western Kentucky. How
- 41:24Speaker 2: much I appreciate her brothers and he starts walking over it.
- 41:27Speaker 3: Hey, and we just had a nice conversation. Was I
- 41:30Speaker 3: scared to meet him?
- 41:31Speaker 5: No?
- 41:31Speaker 3: I certainly made it known that I was a UK fan.
- 41:34Speaker 4: I mean, in all fairness, Tom Crane is not intimidating
- 41:37Speaker 4: at all.
- 41:39Speaker 3: No, and all right.
- 41:41Speaker 2: If you were too named the most intimidating coaches out there,
- 41:45Speaker 2: I would have to say, Kurt Signetti is up there.
- 41:48Speaker 2: I would have to say Nick Saban is up there.
- 41:51Speaker 2: I would have to say, come on, there's more. The
- 41:56Speaker 2: former Patriots coach Bill Belichick, I would say he is. Uh,
- 42:05Speaker 2: he is definitely intimidating. Is there anybody else out there?
- 42:10Speaker 2: Is there a single coach out there today besides Kurt
- 42:13Speaker 2: Scnetti that is intimidating?
- 42:16Speaker 3: Lane Kiffen? Can Lane Kiffen be a little intimidating.
- 42:19Speaker 4: If you're gonna stick in the SEC Kirby Smart maybe
- 42:23Speaker 4: na see.
- 42:24Speaker 2: I don't see him as an I don't know if
- 42:28Speaker 2: he's a dweed, but he certainly is. He knows how
- 42:31Speaker 2: to win. I just don't know if anybody else since
- 42:35Speaker 2: Nick Saban left, Steve.
- 42:36Speaker 3: Spurriy or I would have put in there at one time.
- 42:39Speaker 2: I don't think there's anybody else within the SEC that's
- 42:43Speaker 2: really that intimidating. Now, there are intense coaches, but they're
- 42:46Speaker 2: not intimidating. I think I think Mark Stoops was an
- 42:50Speaker 2: intense coach. Yeah, was he intimidating to be No, I
- 42:54Speaker 2: would have uh no, he's not. Of all the u
- 42:58Speaker 2: former UK coaching, I would say the most intimidating would
- 43:02Speaker 2: have probably been Rich Brooks. Yeah, I've told you the story.
- 43:07Speaker 2: I asked him a question about a Tennessee game and
- 43:10Speaker 2: he looked at me like he had fired in his
- 43:12Speaker 2: eyes and he was trying to burn me to the ground.
- 43:15Speaker 2: It's just like, Okay, I asked the worst question in
- 43:17Speaker 2: the world, and all I want to do is apologize,
- 43:20Speaker 2: and to me, he was the most intimidating former coach
- 43:25Speaker 2: at Kentucky. But as far as other coaches out there,
- 43:29Speaker 2: I can't. I really can't think of anybody that's intimidating anymore.
- 43:32Speaker 2: I wouldn't even say Harbaugh is intimidating. He's just kind
- 43:35Speaker 2: of he's just kind of off.
- 43:37Speaker 3: He's odd.
- 43:39Speaker 4: He's a great coach, but he's just odd. Well he
- 43:41Speaker 4: used the term to weep again.
- 43:44Speaker 2: Yeah, would you use who's the guy that does the
- 43:49Speaker 2: whole barstool thing now that.
- 43:53Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, the coach, Oh yeah, John Gruden.
- 43:58Speaker 4: He wouldn't be intimidated.
- 44:00Speaker 3: I don't think so either. Andy Reid.
- 44:03Speaker 4: No, that dude says Nuggies in a commercial.
- 44:06Speaker 3: Mike Tomlin.
- 44:07Speaker 2: No, yeah, there's nobody really out there in the NFL anymore,
- 44:12Speaker 2: is there. I can't think of anybody. I can't think
- 44:14Speaker 2: of anybody. Bill Belichick would have been the only one.
- 44:16Speaker 2: So all right, we gotta take a break of our
- 44:19Speaker 2: number two coming right up, so stay right there.
- 44:22Speaker 3: After these messages is the Johan and it has sounded
- 44:26Speaker 3: something like.
- 44:26Speaker 1: This, Welcome to Just the Cats with Michael Bennett.
- 44:58Speaker 2: All right, that was number two five two three eight
- 45:01Speaker 2: four fourteen fifty. If you want to call in five
- 45:03Speaker 2: O two four one four fourteen fifty, you want to
- 45:06Speaker 2: text in on the Whiskey Thief text line, or you
- 45:08Speaker 2: can tweet.
- 45:08Speaker 3: Me at Just the Cat Radio.
- 45:10Speaker 2: So yesterday the U ofl uk at Rep game was announced.
- 45:16Speaker 2: As far as the date, that's it's gonna happen in Lexington.
- 45:19Speaker 2: It's back to normal. We can all breathe a sigh
- 45:23Speaker 2: of relief. It's gonna be December twelfth, which it's a Saturday,
- 45:28Speaker 2: So justin, I got to tell you right now, this
- 45:32Speaker 2: feels like it was placed where it should be placed.
- 45:38Speaker 4: Isn't it normally the end of December. I don't like it.
- 45:42Speaker 4: I think it's too early. It's only a month into
- 45:44Speaker 4: the season. We got to put it at the end
- 45:46Speaker 4: of December. This is ridiculous. Oh my god, guess it's
- 45:49Speaker 4: on a Saturday. They got that.
- 45:50Speaker 3: Please start this.
- 45:52Speaker 2: At least it's not what it was last year, which
- 45:54Speaker 2: was absolutely ridiculous.
- 45:57Speaker 3: So yeah, I.
- 45:58Speaker 2: Appreciate your being your your humor there, you're attempted at it.
- 46:02Speaker 2: But uh, I'm so happy about this because having it
- 46:09Speaker 2: so early last year just felt off. I mean and
- 46:12Speaker 2: not not only and it has nothing to do with
- 46:15Speaker 2: UK kidding. Just absolutely blown out for the most part.
- 46:19Speaker 2: But it's just it's because the fact that's not this
- 46:21Speaker 2: is a premier game and haven't played so early in
- 46:24Speaker 2: the season. Just didn't feel like I have the setting
- 46:27Speaker 2: of a premier game, right, So uh, I like this.
- 46:31Speaker 3: Now.
- 46:32Speaker 2: Whoever wins this game, who let me put it this way,
- 46:35Speaker 2: whoever loses this game, do you think that immediately.
- 46:40Speaker 3: Puts them on a hot seat?
- 46:43Speaker 4: No?
- 46:44Speaker 2: You do not really, because I think this is an
- 46:47Speaker 2: important game for both coaches, not just from the standpoint
- 46:50Speaker 2: of how their season is going and a matchup that
- 46:54Speaker 2: means a lot as a quad one.
- 46:55Speaker 3: But I really feel like this has.
- 47:00Speaker 2: Potential unfortunate ramifications on him whether or not this coach
- 47:03Speaker 2: is going to last at a particular school.
- 47:05Speaker 4: I don't think Pat Kelsey is in any trouble at all,
- 47:10Speaker 4: not it's I feel like his situation is so much
- 47:13Speaker 4: different from why do you say that?
- 47:17Speaker 3: So so?
- 47:17Speaker 2: In other words, if Mark Pope had saved it till
- 47:20Speaker 2: year three, had the team last year that he could
- 47:24Speaker 2: have had this year, so you think it would have
- 47:27Speaker 2: been the complete opposite. Mark Pope would not be in
- 47:30Speaker 2: trouble because he's put together on paper, such a phenomenal team.
- 47:34Speaker 2: So because Pat Kelsey did it year three, you think
- 47:37Speaker 2: he's okay.
- 47:38Speaker 4: For me. This really doesn't have anything to do with
- 47:41Speaker 4: the coaches. This has everything to do with the fan bases,
- 47:46Speaker 4: and quite frankly, Louisville's fan base is much more patient
- 47:51Speaker 4: than Kentucky's fan I think that's why you've kind of
- 47:56Speaker 4: had the narrative surrounding Mark Pope entering this season whereas
- 48:00Speaker 4: I haven't really gotten that with Pat Kelson. I haven't
- 48:05Speaker 4: heard that narrative at least with Pat Kelson.
- 48:07Speaker 2: I think towards the middle and end of last year,
- 48:10Speaker 2: they were really the fan base that U of L
- 48:12Speaker 2: was losing it with bat KELVI.
- 48:13Speaker 4: Yeah, but then he won. But then he came in
- 48:15Speaker 4: and won his first ever tournament game, So they're they're
- 48:17Speaker 4: of the mindset that he didn't win any the first year,
- 48:21Speaker 4: he won one the second year. So it's just gonna
- 48:23Speaker 4: be a constant improvement thing. I think. I think they'll
- 48:26Speaker 4: give him a much longer lease than Kentucky fans will
- 48:28Speaker 4: with Pope.
- 48:30Speaker 2: I don't know if I necessarily agree with that, but okay,
- 48:32Speaker 2: I I could be wrong. No, I mean, yeah, you
- 48:37Speaker 2: certainly have been wrong, and when you're wrong, I love
- 48:39Speaker 2: it because it's always a good thing for UK. But yeah,
- 48:43Speaker 2: and that's a great thing. So uh but and I
- 48:45Speaker 2: appreciate you admitting that. But I just look at this
- 48:48Speaker 2: and I think I don't know, but uh, all right,
- 48:50Speaker 2: welet'll switch it up to football. Yesterday, uh UK announced
- 48:55Speaker 2: a lot of the well three of the kickoff times
- 48:58Speaker 2: for the uh football team this upcoming season. You got
- 49:03Speaker 2: September fifth, Youngstown State at one o'clock on the SEC
- 49:07Speaker 2: Network Plus, So it won't be on anywhere you got
- 49:10Speaker 2: to go to your computer and watch this.
- 49:11Speaker 3: Kind of thing.
- 49:11Speaker 2: But I think we're all kind of accustomed to that now,
- 49:14Speaker 2: So I don't know, And it should be on a
- 49:16Speaker 2: game that's an SEC Network Plus, I guess. But the
- 49:21Speaker 2: very next weekend, September twelfth, Alabama three thirty on ABC,
- 49:27Speaker 2: one of the first SEC matchups for I think it's
- 49:31Speaker 2: the third year in a row which has not been
- 49:34Speaker 2: good for UK, but it's Alabama coming to Lexington three
- 49:38Speaker 2: thirty on ABC. Do you like that UK is hosting
- 49:42Speaker 2: this game on the major ESPN ABC network.
- 49:47Speaker 4: I do like that they're hosting this game, especially with
- 49:50Speaker 4: it being nationally televised like that. I love that it's
- 49:53Speaker 4: so early in the season, and I love that it's
- 49:55Speaker 4: at three thirty. It feels like the perfect game time. Yeah,
- 49:59Speaker 4: I mean it should. This is a game that should
- 50:00Speaker 4: be nationally televised. Odds are Alabama's probably gonna win it
- 50:04Speaker 4: pretty comfortably, but it's gonna be the first introduction to
- 50:08Speaker 4: will Stein and that that could potentially be really exciting
- 50:11Speaker 4: to see what he can do against a SEC powerhouse.
- 50:15Speaker 2: Yeah, you're definitely right about that. I mean, it would
- 50:17Speaker 2: be a lot of fun if somehow, some way UK
- 50:20Speaker 2: could pull out a surprise win early off in will
- 50:24Speaker 2: Stein's career. Man, you talk about winning a game like
- 50:29Speaker 2: that for will Stein, that would put such a boost
- 50:32Speaker 2: not just for will Stein in UK, but also this
- 50:35Speaker 2: fan base that desperately wants to see a team win
- 50:39Speaker 2: at something which we we haven't had that much of
- 50:42Speaker 2: experience the past few years in football or basketball. So
- 50:46Speaker 2: he comes in here and wins that game. Man, the
- 50:49Speaker 2: state's going to go crazy for will Stein. Then the
- 50:52Speaker 2: follow up real quick on that.
- 50:54Speaker 4: I hate the term playing with house money, but that
- 50:58Speaker 4: is the definition of playing with house money in week two.
- 51:02Speaker 4: I mean, you can go in there, you can go
- 51:04Speaker 4: in that game free, just go play football. There's no expectations,
- 51:08Speaker 4: or there's going to be no expectations from the outside
- 51:11Speaker 4: that you're gonna win that game. Now, well, the team
- 51:14Speaker 4: and the coaching staff have the expectation to win, sure,
- 51:16Speaker 4: but there's not gonna be that pressure from the outside.
- 51:19Speaker 4: That could be a that could be a really good
- 51:21Speaker 4: thing for them.
- 51:22Speaker 2: And see, I think that's true for the entire season.
- 51:24Speaker 2: If you want to be completely honest, you look at this.
- 51:28Speaker 2: I think Kentucky football is gonna be playing with house
- 51:30Speaker 2: money pretty much in every game this stay. And we'll
- 51:33Speaker 2: talk about the spreads and just because they came out
- 51:35Speaker 2: a couple of days ago and we just hadn't had
- 51:36Speaker 2: the chance to talk about it, Yeah, definitely, But hold on,
- 51:40Speaker 2: let's let's let's get to the last kickoff time. Then
- 51:43Speaker 2: the following week, UK makes their first away a game
- 51:46Speaker 2: down to college station at Texas A and M three thirty,
- 51:49Speaker 2: and that's going to be either on ESPN or ESPN two.
- 51:53Speaker 2: Are you kind of surprised that UK in their first
- 51:56Speaker 2: three games are on the major networks at a major
- 51:59Speaker 2: prime time for UK football. I was kind of surprised
- 52:03Speaker 2: by that. I guess I like it, but I mean
- 52:07Speaker 2: that was a bit of a surprise there.
- 52:09Speaker 4: That doesn't surprise me because you've got big names that
- 52:13Speaker 4: you're going up again. It's like Alabama's always going to
- 52:15Speaker 4: be in that prime spot. Texas A and M with
- 52:19Speaker 4: the season they had last year, they're always going to
- 52:21Speaker 4: be in that prime spot moving forward.
- 52:23Speaker 2: So no, it doesn't surprise me. Okay, all right, so
- 52:25Speaker 2: let's talk about the spread. Now, the early spreads have
- 52:29Speaker 2: been as far as the projections released for UK football,
- 52:33Speaker 2: and and here's no, I don't want to tell you
- 52:36Speaker 2: yet because I do. I want you to guess what
- 52:39Speaker 2: you think the spread is going to be. So, and
- 52:43Speaker 2: of course I leave you for a second, but that's okay.
- 52:47Speaker 2: Do we need to take that first before we go forward?
- 52:50Speaker 4: We probably should?
- 52:51Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, let's go ahead and do that.
- 52:53Speaker 2: We'll go ahead and take the phone call five O
- 52:54Speaker 2: two three four fourteen fifty before we get into the spreads.
- 52:57Speaker 3: But who's on?
- 52:58Speaker 4: We got John?
- 52:59Speaker 3: All right? John? What's up?
- 53:03Speaker 4: God?
- 53:06Speaker 3: Did we lose John?
- 53:09Speaker 4: John?
- 53:10Speaker 3: Are you there?
- 53:11Speaker 4: Call back? John?
- 53:12Speaker 3: All right? We lost you? John?
- 53:14Speaker 2: All right, let's talk about the spread. Uh hold on,
- 53:18Speaker 2: we're gonna go John.
- 53:21Speaker 6: Am I back in?
- 53:23Speaker 3: Yes? Go ahead? John?
- 53:24Speaker 6: Okay, all right, Okay, Hey Justin. I wanted to say earlier,
- 53:28Speaker 6: I didn't send back in on a text on your show.
- 53:31Speaker 6: Uh you guys got to watch that sun Rise of
- 53:33Speaker 6: Scoots awesome show.
- 53:35Speaker 2: You know.
- 53:35Speaker 6: I wasn't coming out personally. I'm just saying rhetoric wise,
- 53:39Speaker 6: and it's not just in you media wise, as far
- 53:42Speaker 6: as uh melon, as far as Tyrone Stokes or whatever.
- 53:47Speaker 6: You know, it's been wording like, Oh, he's gonna go this,
- 53:50Speaker 6: He's gonna go to this school instead of Kentucky, you know,
- 53:52Speaker 6: whipping on this, whipping on that. And then also too,
- 53:55Speaker 6: just the simple fact that some have indicated that man,
- 53:58Speaker 6: oh man of Kentucky would ever, you know, say ever,
- 54:02Speaker 6: like it's been a long time or something. But if
- 54:04Speaker 6: Kentucky lands, like let's just say Melon and he comes
- 54:07Speaker 6: to Kentucky, the chatter of Kentucky fans is going to
- 54:10Speaker 6: be bonanza. And everyone knows that, and they kind of
- 54:14Speaker 6: kind of get ready to They don't want to see
- 54:16Speaker 6: that storm necessarily, right, some people don't want to see it. So, uh,
- 54:22Speaker 6: what do you say? What do you guys think about this?
- 54:23Speaker 6: Though I like Melon as much as anybody out there
- 54:30Speaker 6: that we could possibly get, he reminds me of a
- 54:35Speaker 6: Scott Pageant. What do you think about that? Michael?
- 54:41Speaker 3: Uh? Yeah, but Scott Pageant didn't.
- 54:46Speaker 2: I mean that that was a time when big bigs
- 54:50Speaker 2: didn't really shoot from beyond the arc. That's the only
- 54:52Speaker 2: big difference. But I think that's somewhat of a good comparison.
- 54:56Speaker 2: But you know, you look at Mom Chilovich, and the
- 54:59Speaker 2: guy can really spread the court because he is shooting
- 55:02Speaker 2: from all over the place. Plus he's strong in the middle,
- 55:05Speaker 2: where Paget was really just a big I mean, he
- 55:08Speaker 2: was not trying to take any away from his game whatsoever.
- 55:12Speaker 2: Clearly he did something right. He won a nineteen ninety
- 55:14Speaker 2: eight championship. So but with I mean, it's kind of
- 55:19Speaker 2: hard to say, just because of the different style of
- 55:21Speaker 2: play where mom Chilovic. I was watching a highlight of
- 55:24Speaker 2: him last night and the guy was all the defender
- 55:29Speaker 2: was all over mom Chilovich and he shoots a three
- 55:33Speaker 2: from way outside and it goes in. I mean, I
- 55:36Speaker 2: never saw Paget do anything like that. So I think
- 55:40Speaker 2: it's two style of play in two different styles of
- 55:43Speaker 2: play because the fact the era is different compared to
- 55:46Speaker 2: back then. So it's kind of hard to compare the
- 55:49Speaker 2: two from that standpoint.
- 55:52Speaker 6: Yeah, they both were. I agree with that perspective. I
- 55:56Speaker 6: know Paget when I looked up his because I was
- 55:58Speaker 6: thinking about his shooting as well, because I knew Paget
- 56:00Speaker 6: was a big you know, he had that bigger body
- 56:02Speaker 6: and it was more physical in that nineties ninety eight.
- 56:07Speaker 6: But I think the Paget still when I looked at
- 56:11Speaker 6: Paget still shot thirty six percent for three pointers, which
- 56:14Speaker 6: is crazy. Thinking about what Scott Paget did. He was
- 56:18Speaker 6: very clutch, and we obviously know what happened with Duke
- 56:20Speaker 6: in nineteen ninety eight. That was awesome with what Paget
- 56:24Speaker 6: did there. And I will say this too, guys, real quick,
- 56:28Speaker 6: if you look at on that Zoom call, a supposedly
- 56:33Speaker 6: supposedly Zoom call, because you know there's been reports, so
- 56:36Speaker 6: I guess it's true if they know who you read,
- 56:39Speaker 6: But it was Zoom was on the call, and I
- 56:43Speaker 6: know moreno was on the call. I feel like maybe
- 56:46Speaker 6: McBride or someone else was on the call. But and
- 56:49Speaker 6: then there was an assistant coach. Obviously, I think that
- 56:51Speaker 6: was important. I think that's an important view to look
- 56:54Speaker 6: at because they went from Okay, you know who our coaches,
- 56:58Speaker 6: it's coach Pope. He can be on this. He's probably
- 57:00Speaker 6: talk to you or talk to your staff. You've had
- 57:02Speaker 6: communication somehow with him, probably by now. But when this
- 57:05Speaker 6: is an important step for you, you even Nelon said
- 57:10Speaker 6: that it wasn't just the money. He wanted to go
- 57:12Speaker 6: to a contender where he could fit in. Kentucky has
- 57:15Speaker 6: those spots, and I think by them bringing those players
- 57:17Speaker 6: to that Zoom call, they were saying, meet your future
- 57:21Speaker 6: team members, we want you here. I think he lands
- 57:24Speaker 6: at Kentucky and I'm pretty I'm pretty confident now. I'm
- 57:28Speaker 6: not just wishing. I'm pretty confident that he'll go to Kentucky.
- 57:32Speaker 2: Wait exactly. That's thank you, John. I appreciate the call.
- 57:37Speaker 2: And that's that's all I could think of. As soon
- 57:40Speaker 2: as I heard the Zoom call and that Zoom was
- 57:42Speaker 2: on the Zoom call, That's all I could think about
- 57:44Speaker 2: is zoom and zoom.
- 57:45Speaker 3: I mean, it's just too much zooming.
- 57:49Speaker 2: Well, I love the fact that he is on this
- 57:51Speaker 2: team because I think we're all going to have a
- 57:52Speaker 2: lot of fun with the zoom. I mean it just
- 57:54Speaker 2: and Zoom goes for the basket and zoom that they're
- 57:57Speaker 2: going to exactly, Oh my gosh, please don't start that
- 58:01Speaker 2: way that guy. Can you imagine? I'd love to interview
- 58:05Speaker 2: that guy, just ask him a few questions. How do
- 58:07Speaker 2: you feel how you are perceived today? You know, would
- 58:12Speaker 2: you do.
- 58:12Speaker 3: The same thing?
- 58:13Speaker 2: Because if you read into that story, he didn't know
- 58:15Speaker 2: he was going to go on the air until just
- 58:17Speaker 2: a few minutes before he went on the air.
- 58:19Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean we all have like so for instance,
- 58:22Speaker 4: I have a college project that I put together where
- 58:26Speaker 4: I had to be. I was basically a sports center anchor,
- 58:29Speaker 4: and I was running highlights and talking behind them like
- 58:32Speaker 4: they do on Sports Center. I actually went back and
- 58:34Speaker 4: watched that. I ran across it probably two months ago,
- 58:38Speaker 4: and I went back and watched it.
- 58:40Speaker 3: How long ago?
- 58:41Speaker 4: This was in college, my senior year of college.
- 58:44Speaker 3: Okay, and what horrible?
- 58:46Speaker 4: Is it? Really? So bad? Like painfully bad?
- 58:51Speaker 3: You've got to share this.
- 58:52Speaker 4: I'll see if I could track it down again, yeah,
- 58:54Speaker 4: and send it along to you.
- 58:56Speaker 3: Now, if you just fand to you know where it is,
- 58:58Speaker 3: He'll just send it over here. Take a look. See.
- 59:01Speaker 2: I think I think you need to share this on
- 59:03Speaker 2: Twitter so that we can all kind of do a
- 59:06Speaker 2: little uh uh comparison on how we think if we
- 59:10Speaker 2: could do better than what you did.
- 59:11Speaker 4: I doubt if I could. I'll try and track it down.
- 59:14Speaker 4: But I remember.
- 59:16Speaker 2: One person texted in rumors from last night Hawthorne changing
- 59:19Speaker 2: his number from twenty two to two. Twenty two is
- 59:22Speaker 2: Mom Chilovich's uh number. UK players are following mom Chilovich
- 59:27Speaker 2: on social media, and there was a zoom call hosted
- 59:30Speaker 2: by Diallo and Williams all good of true, and that's
- 59:33Speaker 2: just exactly what John said. So uh yeah, I mean
- 59:38Speaker 2: I can't confirm any of this. I tried to uh
- 59:41Speaker 2: while we were on break, but uh so I I yeah,
- 59:45Speaker 2: it's it's great to hear that.
- 59:47Speaker 3: And it's great to hear that.
- 59:49Speaker 2: Uh they're putting a full court press with the players
- 59:51Speaker 2: following him. But that's again, that doesn't that doesn't mean anything,
- 59:55Speaker 2: does it justin it'd be nice if it did, but
- 59:57Speaker 2: it doesn't. So anyway, I appreciate that text. Uh, all right,
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: let's get back to football. As far as the early
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: point spread projections for UK Let's start with UH and
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: I only did know I did all of them, didn't
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: I think I did all of them? So I want
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: to see what you think will be. Let's start with Alabama,
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: oh or not Youngstown. Well, for some reason, I didn't
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: write it down. I don't know why I didn't, but
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: I don't have Youngstown. So let's start with Alabama. What
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: do you think the point spread is going to be
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: with with Crimson Tide.
- 1:00:40Speaker 4: I'm gonna say Alabama is nine and a half.
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: Really plus twelve?
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: Okay? Not good?
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: At Texas A and M. Yeah, exactly at Texas A
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: and M. What do you think it's going to be?
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: Thirteen and a half plus nineteen?
- 1:00:56Speaker 4: Whoa?
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: At South Carolin?
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: South Carolina three and a half.
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: Plus ten and a half? What lsu? I mean?
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: I gotta go bigger than what I think here, So
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: fourteen and a half.
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: It's a perfect guess it's plus fourteen at Oklahoma.
- 1:01:23Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, I forgot how brutal the schedule was
- 1:01:27Speaker 4: exactly thirteen.
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: Sixteen at Tennessee, twelve and a half, fourteen and a
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: half at Missouri.
- 1:01:42Speaker 4: This one's gotta be below ten, right.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: Nine and a half, thirteen and a half. Now let's
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: start with a couple of other teams. Vanderbilt, what do
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: you think that is? Where's that game? It's in Lexington,
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: vand eight and a half, three and a half in
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: favor of Vandy Florida, which is going to be in Lexington.
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: Florida's twelve and a half.
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: Eight and a half.
- 1:02:12Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: And then for some reason I think at Young Sound State.
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: But here's South Alabama. What do you think uk the
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: point spread is with UK in South Alabama.
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: Thirteen and a half.
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: It's nineteen and a half in favor of Kentucky. And
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: then the final one U of L. This game is
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: going to be in Lexington, first time for former UK
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: coach Vince Merrill, beloved coach back in Lexington.
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: What do you think U of L and UK? The
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: point spread is.
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: U of L is a seven and a half point favorite.
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: Really, it's four and a half in favor of U
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: of L. Wow, I was surprised by that one, exactly.
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: I'm not really necessarily surprised by the Vanderbilt even though
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: Vanderbilts won the last two two meetings. I was kind
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: of surprised by John Summerl in Florida only eight and
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: a half.
- 1:03:06Speaker 4: But this is double digits.
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: Every well except for U of L.
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: I was really surprised by the U of L game
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: only four and a half. I mean, that's that's almost
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: a toss up game right there. I mean, you're you're
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: looking at they don't see U of L that much
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: better than Vanderbilt.
- 1:03:23Speaker 4: That's wild.
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: I thought it was wild too, But then you got one, two, three, four, five, six,
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: seven games where they are double digits in the hole
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: against those teams. I looked at that and I thought, wow,
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: that that's really really tough. So I don't know, do
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: you feel good about betting those games or are you
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: even more nervous because that's a pretty wide point spread
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: for a lot of those games.
- 1:03:51Speaker 4: I mean, it kind of goes back to what we
- 1:03:54Speaker 4: were talking about right where you're just playing with house money,
- 1:03:57Speaker 4: like you're expected to lose every single one of those games.
- 1:04:00Speaker 4: So just go out there, play freely.
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: Got a text from Justin as Well.
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: Yeah, that's his new name in the text line. He
- 1:04:10Speaker 4: texted my show yesterday and he was like, how do
- 1:04:12Speaker 4: all these people get their names on the text line?
- 1:04:14Speaker 4: And I was like, just let me know what you
- 1:04:15Speaker 4: want to be saying.
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: Yeah, and so he wanted to be called Justin as Well.
- 1:04:19Speaker 4: That's what we ended up going with. Oh yeah, you
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: went with it. It's not what he well, me and
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: another text or workshop did and he was okay with it. Okay,
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: all right?
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: Then?
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: Uh he said, personally, I love that Kentucky is getting
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: zero love for football. I hope Stein shocks the world.
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: I'm with you, because to me, everyone should go into
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: the season completely relaxed because nobody is betting on Kentucky
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: and the fact that will Stein has been able to
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: go out there and on paper put the to me,
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: what's an incredible football team. Let's just see how they
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: do on the field, and they should go out there
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: with with all the car in their hand, because listen,
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: let's leave it on the field. Nobody's betting for you,
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: So why not just go out there and beat these teams?
- 1:05:08Speaker 4: Now? Can you see a world where some of those
- 1:05:11Speaker 4: spreads come down with the way that this team could
- 1:05:14Speaker 4: start the season. I mean, obviously you think you're gonna
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: win that Youngstown State game, but if you just play
- 1:05:19Speaker 4: close with Alabama and Texas A and M and show
- 1:05:22Speaker 4: that hey, we've we've got the chops here to compete
- 1:05:25Speaker 4: with basically anybody in the SEC, those numbers will indeed
- 1:05:28Speaker 4: come down.
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: And as long as you don't lose any kind of
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: players to injury too. That's the other part. But I mean,
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: with with Minchi, people have been really high how well
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: Minschie the quarterback has been looking so far, and he's
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: been spot on. One of the one posts I read
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: is that he can just put the ball in the
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: receiver's hands, and that's high praise right there as far
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: as his passing ability exactly. So I'm hoping that is
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: the same case as well. I'm hoping this team is
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: not too terribly young where they have an experience that
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: plays in But you know, the other part is how
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: is Will Stein going to coach and his staff going
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: to coach in close games?
- 1:06:10Speaker 4: How?
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: I think the other big question that was a big
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: question with Mark Stoops is how well he manages the
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: game clock because I think that was the one of
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: the biggest criticisms with Mark Stoops, and it was deserved.
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: He did not nor did his coaching staff work well
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: around game clock strategy at all, and that was a
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: bit of a point of contention, well not a bit,
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: a probably a pretty big one there.
- 1:06:38Speaker 4: I mean, you're gonna have scenarios this year where you
- 1:06:41Speaker 4: maybe get a little frustrated with Stein and think that
- 1:06:44Speaker 4: he should call a time out and he doesn't or whatnot.
- 1:06:46Speaker 4: But it's all, he's never been a head coach, so
- 1:06:49Speaker 4: it's all he's gonna have to learn all this stuff
- 1:06:51Speaker 4: on the fly. It's gonna be a learning curve to
- 1:06:53Speaker 4: a certain extent this season just to try to figure
- 1:06:56Speaker 4: out how all this works. With you being the head man.
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: See, my question is going to be, Uh, if Mark
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: Pope is able to get mom Chilovich, is the fan
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: base going to be as excited about UK football or
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: even more excited about UK basketball? Which one will they
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: be more excited.
- 1:07:20Speaker 4: You're not doing that. I'm not pitting. I'm not pitting.
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: I think it's gone basketball. It's not a basketball football
- 1:07:26Speaker 4: school discussion. I'm not doing thank you. See.
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: And I love the fact that you answered it that way,
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: because it shouldn't be. You should be excited about football
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: that's going to be played first, and then be excited
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: about basketball. You can be excited about both teams. It
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: doesn't have to be one of the other. Sure, and
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: I love that the fact that you answered it that way.
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: All Right, we got to take another break. Oh, I've
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: gone way over. Five two four one four fourteen fifty.
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: What's new? It's thank you very much. I heard what
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: you were saying, the sad part about it. I know
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: what you were saying.
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: Five one two four one four fourteen fifty. Stay right there,
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: send me some more text. We'll see it to Man, if.
- 1:08:01Speaker 5: You're gonna play in Texas, you gotta have a fiddle
- 1:08:04Speaker 5: in the band. That league guitar is high but not
- 1:08:07Speaker 5: farther than the band, so long enough that both bag
- 1:08:13Speaker 5: and loveless all days. If you're gonna play in Texas,
- 1:08:17Speaker 5: you gotta have a fiddle in the band.
- 1:08:42Speaker 6: Queen.
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: I don't know if you saw it or not, but
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: did you see where the Arkansas Athletic director wrote an
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: open letter to the n C double a I did
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: not complaining about their football kickoff times in the sen
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: complaining to the SEC concerned about college athletes they have.
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: All right, so the razorbacks, Yes, yes, I saw, Oh
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: my gosh, okay, yeah, yeah, we're definitely going.
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: To talk about this.
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: So one game, I think they have one game where
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: they head out to Utah and they play at nine
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: to fifteenth Central, and he's saying, we won't be back
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: on campus from Utah until six am the next morning.
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: And then six days later we played eleven am against
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: Georgia at Georgia and I saw this, and I thought
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: that might be the lamest thing. First of all, welcome
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: to professional sports, because these players are getting paid now.
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: They're not college athletes anymore, they're paid players. And I
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: saw this, and he is getting roasted like crazy online,
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: and I think deserves to be roasted. You don't send
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: this an open letter that's not going to resolve anything.
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: You just handle this behind the scenes and say, hey,
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: can we change this, And of course it's not going
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: to change. To me, it makes it even worse. And
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: if I'm the SEC or whoever's choosing all these times
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: in game times to kickoff times, I'm just going to
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: keep doing it to them. Yeah, it makes me want
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: to do the absolute opposite when you embarrass me publicly
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: like that.
- 1:10:21Speaker 4: For sure. I mean, and it makes him look like
- 1:10:23Speaker 4: a huge baby. He mentions what puts our athletes at
- 1:10:27Speaker 4: a disadvantage because you get six days off instead of
- 1:10:30Speaker 4: six and a half booth freaking who hunter, you're a
- 1:10:34Speaker 4: check cry some more. I couldn't believe that when I
- 1:10:37Speaker 4: saw it yesterday.
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: Yeah, this assigned schedule will cost our student athletes nearly
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: a full day of rest and recovery that they would
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: otherwise have available. This type of scheduling is unacceptable and
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: demonstrate that clear neglect for the will being of college athletes.
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: I'm confident that there are not many other programs of
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: the SEC that would be placed in a similar position,
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: And I will not quietly accept it for our program.
- 1:11:01Speaker 3: I was like, what are you talking about? What is
- 1:11:04Speaker 3: wrong with you?
- 1:11:06Speaker 4: Anyway? So the SEC is out to get him?
- 1:11:09Speaker 3: Yeah, he goes.
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: I firmly requested the SEC office in Espen aggressively pursue
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: an alternative solution for one or both kickoff times during
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: these consecutive leaks. The focus must be on the well
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: being of the games participants, not the bottom line of
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: our media partner.
- 1:11:24Speaker 4: If I'm the SEC, I'm going over the top with
- 1:11:27Speaker 4: this and I'm gonna be like, all right, well, then
- 1:11:29Speaker 4: y'all don't have any games this year? There goes all
- 1:11:32Speaker 4: twelve of them. How about that? How about that for
- 1:11:34Speaker 4: well rested athletes.
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: I don't think you could do that.
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: But yeah, I wouldn't be happy if I'm Greg Zanky
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: or anybody that's involved with the scheduling and that you
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: that you were just absolutely called out like this. I
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: think this was an embarrassing look for the athletic director
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: at Arkansas Hunter. You're a check and man, if I'm
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: the president of the university, I says, dude, you need
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: to take this down immediately.
- 1:12:00Speaker 6: No.
- 1:12:01Speaker 4: That's the sad part is he probably ran it by
- 1:12:03Speaker 4: the president and he was like, yeah, that's good role.
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: Probably so, but this is just backfired on them completely
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: and made them look really bad.
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: So everybody has to go through this.
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: I mean there have been times UK's had these kind
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: of problems, but you didn't hear Mitch Barnhart out there
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: screaming about it. I mean there's been I can't remember
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: right off hand, but there have beens like what are
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: you thinking on this schedule? And it feels like the
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: SEC was picking on UK. But I mean you want
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: to talk about scheduling, I mean, look at these games
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: they have to play. There are some teams out there
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: that don't have the most difficult schedule like Kentucky does.
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: But do you hear Mitch Barnhardt out there complained about it?
- 1:12:43Speaker 4: No, I mean it doesn't do any good. You gotta
- 1:12:46Speaker 4: play it with what's in front of you, and yeah,
- 1:12:48Speaker 4: you do for our table. You've got to play those
- 1:12:50Speaker 4: two games either way. So you can cry about it,
- 1:12:52Speaker 4: or you could put your head down, go to work
- 1:12:54Speaker 4: and let everybody know that that's going to be the case,
- 1:12:57Speaker 4: and hey, we'll see what we can do.
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: Sticking with football, I do want to talk about Pete
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: Golding the old Miss football coach.
- 1:13:05Speaker 3: Have you seen this?
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: Uh, he's in the midst of a high profile investigation
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: into alleged tampering, and he has informed the NCUBLEA that
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: he will expose rampant, rampant, rampant, I'll get it right
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: in a minute, tampering in the sport if he is sanctioned.
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: And of course you know, Dabo Sweeney is really called
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: out the Old Miss, the brand new Old Miss coach
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: Pete Golding about a player that was supposedly coming to Clemson.
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: Now he ends up going to Old Miss. And do
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: you think the NC DOUBLEA is going to listen to this?
- 1:13:43Speaker 4: If they do, that's going to open a whole can
- 1:13:46Speaker 4: of worms that I don't know that they're prepared for,
- 1:13:49Speaker 4: meaning what meanings if they do what? There's situations like
- 1:13:54Speaker 4: this all across the country. So if they decide to
- 1:13:56Speaker 4: go after this one scenario, they're gonna all of a
- 1:13:59Speaker 4: sudd and find themselves with thousands to deal with.
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: Because but don't you want that.
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: If I'm in Cuba, then I'm going to Pete Golden
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: and say, you know what, if you're going to threaten us,
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: then okay, let's find out you open up the whole
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: Pandora's box and you tell us what all is going on,
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: because we are going to that's the job of the
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: NCUBA is to find out this information.
- 1:14:19Speaker 3: So if they just sit here and just.
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: Let it get by, and let Pete Golden and Old
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: Miss get away with this, then what's the whole purpose
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: of the NCAA in the first place.
- 1:14:29Speaker 4: We've been asking that for years, haven't we.
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: Well, that is true.
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: So I don't see how you let Pete Golden get
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: away with this and to send out these veil threats.
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: I just I find it inexcusable. So they should go
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: after Pete Golden and Old Miss. And if he's going
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: to let open all the Pandora's box on all the
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: tampering that he knows about, then he needs to let
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: everybody know. And guess what, He's going to be known
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: as a scab because everybody's going to really call him out.
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: It's like, well, you let us know about everything. That
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: might be the end of his coaching career. If he's
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: let go it oh this anytime soon, nobody will want
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: to hire him.
- 1:15:06Speaker 4: Snitches get stitches right exactly.
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: That's the old scene and I find it very true.
- 1:15:12Speaker 4: But I mean, if these coaches just work together and
- 1:15:14Speaker 4: want to out all the ones out that are cheating,
- 1:15:16Speaker 4: then by all means do that too. Let's make it entertaining.
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: Well, don't you know there are probably a lot of
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: coaches in the past that knew that certain coaches were
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: paying players or doing whatever Ed Orizron was saying, and
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: they never let it be known. Well, I mean, he's
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: about Pete Golding is about to let this be known
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: and no one will respect him. So those other coaches
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: from the past, they never let it be known that
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: things were happening.
- 1:15:43Speaker 4: I don't think he'll really do it.
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: You don't think so, so, so you think it's a
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: veiled threat, is what you think. Correct, Then he shouldn't
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: have said in the first place.
- 1:15:54Speaker 4: Well, you live and you learn. Well, he's never had
- 1:15:59Speaker 4: to be in this position, or he's meeting with the
- 1:16:00Speaker 4: media and discussing things like this, I know.
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: And he's letting it get really to him. And that's
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: where some coaches are really meant to be head coaches
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: and some are really not meant to be head coaching.
- 1:16:12Speaker 4: I mean, a lot of this probably comes from just
- 1:16:15Speaker 4: being upset about the comments that Lane Kiffin made earlier
- 1:16:19Speaker 4: this week about how if he had stayed at Ole Miss,
- 1:16:21Speaker 4: they would have probably won the national championship. We definitely
- 1:16:25Speaker 4: would have beaten Miami. Doesn't that kind of feel like
- 1:16:28Speaker 4: a shot at Golding like he was the guy?
- 1:16:30Speaker 2: No, Harge, No, it doesn't. It does not feel like
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: it's kind of a shot. It is a shot at
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: a Golding. That was a definite shot. I was kind
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: of surprised by it. But that's kind of Lane kiffin stick,
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: and I've never understood that. And so I don't know.
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: A part of me wants to like Lane Kiffen, but
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: he makes it so hard to like him.
- 1:16:51Speaker 4: I'm here to tell him right now, on May twenty eighth,
- 1:16:54Speaker 4: that they would not have beaten Indiana. Sorry, buddy, maybe
- 1:16:58Speaker 4: you get past Miami, you're not beaten.
- 1:17:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: Well I don't know. Well well, and we'll never know,
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: unfortunately at this point. But anyway, all right, we got
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: to take our last break. When we come back, I
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: do want to talk about a Wisconsin driver that did something.
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: It's like, what were you thinking? I mean, those things
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: are there for a reason, and now you just learned
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: why they were there for a reason. Uh, And we'll
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: get back to your Texas well five two, four, one, four,
- 1:17:28Speaker 2: fourteen fifty some more in it's our last segment on
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: this Thursday. Stay right there more Justicat's coming up.
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: When I was a child, the family with travel down
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: the Western Kentucky.
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: All right, we're all last segment on this Thursday. Tomorrow
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: we'll talk a little bit of baseball, because you know,
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: Kentucky baseball is getting ready and the bat gets are
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: headed up to or probably already there in Morgantown for
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: the West Virginia Regional where they'll face wake Forest tomorrow.
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: Are you looking forward to the Baseball's World Series starting tomorrow?
- 1:18:41Speaker 4: Yes, and no, I mean in a sense of Kentucky.
- 1:18:45Speaker 4: I don't have much faith that anything's gonna happen. Now,
- 1:18:49Speaker 4: you do have a great pitching matchup tomorrow. You've got
- 1:18:52Speaker 4: your ace on the mound. Maybe you can get past
- 1:18:54Speaker 4: wake Forest and then things really open up for you.
- 1:18:56Speaker 4: But yeah, I mean going playing in that West Virginia reason,
- 1:19:01Speaker 4: it's a tough one.
- 1:19:02Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, well we'll talk more about that tomorrow.
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: But my goodness, yeah it's gonna be I'm kind of
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: the same way you feel like, Okay, uh, it'll be
- 1:19:12Speaker 2: a short road. But on the other hand, maybe they're
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: playing uh uh with with house money as well. From
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: that standpoint that is, Hey, guys, let's just go relax.
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: Nobody's betting on us. Let's just go out there and
- 1:19:23Speaker 2: have fun and and maybe something happens.
- 1:19:26Speaker 3: I just always have to have a little faith out there.
- 1:19:29Speaker 3: But it sure does. It sure has made it hard
- 1:19:33Speaker 3: this year. But uh.
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: One person texted in, I don't recall Arkansas complaining about
- 1:19:38Speaker 2: the check they received from the SEC at the end
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: of the year for playing on TV every week.
- 1:19:42Speaker 3: Right, And he's exactly right.
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: I mean, if you're so unhappy about this, you know, Arkansas,
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: you can go back to where you were before. Or
- 1:19:52Speaker 2: were they in the Big twelve? That's where they were before.
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: Weren't they years ago?
- 1:19:56Speaker 4: Right?
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: I know it would have been years ago, but uh,
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: that was they came in. Did they come in with
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: South Carolina? I think it was South Carolina? This is
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: back in the nineties.
- 1:20:07Speaker 4: No, they were in the Southwest Conference.
- 1:20:09Speaker 2: Oh it was a Southwest Conference. Yes, which is that's
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: long gone, isn't it.
- 1:20:15Speaker 4: You joined the SEC in nineteen ninety two.
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: Wow, Yeah, it's been a while. One person texted in
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: latest on mom Chilovich. Saint John's is no longer pursuing,
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: Arizona is a long shot UK versus U of l
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: with UK and the lead popes to.
- 1:20:32Speaker 3: Lose love that. But I'd like to know where you
- 1:20:36Speaker 3: got it.
- 1:20:36Speaker 2: I'd like to know where he got his a source
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: as far as Saint John's is no longer pursuing.
- 1:20:40Speaker 4: Cite your sources, Texter.
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, we need sources, so I can't sit here
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: and read this kind of stuff and not have you
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: who exactly your source is. But I'm always curious of
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: people where they get this information. I think you get
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: on social media. That's the one thing. You get so
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: much misinformation out there, just like listening to this show.
- 1:21:00Speaker 2: But we'll see. I don't think we'll find out till Sunday.
- 1:21:08Speaker 2: You think it will be Sunday night that everyone finds out.
- 1:21:13Speaker 4: I'd be so just I'm just ready for it to
- 1:21:16Speaker 4: be over all. Right.
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: Uh did you see the well you didn't see the
- 1:21:21Speaker 2: Wisconsin driver?
- 1:21:25Speaker 3: Oh you do? Okay, you want to start with yours first,
- 1:21:28Speaker 3: you want to hear mine first. Okay.
- 1:21:30Speaker 2: So a Wisconsin driver was was driving down the road
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: and saw these barriers in front of the road.
- 1:21:37Speaker 3: So what does he do?
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: He stops his truck, gets out, removes the barriers, and
- 1:21:42Speaker 2: then proceeds to drive down the road that he's not
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: supposed to driving down, only to find out he is
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: now driving through cement, gets his truck stuck in the cement,
- 1:21:52Speaker 2: and the crew has to go get heavy lifting machinery
- 1:21:57Speaker 2: to remove his truck from the cement.
- 1:22:00Speaker 4: What a moron?
- 1:22:02Speaker 3: What were you thinking?
- 1:22:04Speaker 2: That's first of all, have you ever thought about removing
- 1:22:08Speaker 2: barriers from a road to go ahead and drive down
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: through it?
- 1:22:11Speaker 4: Yes?
- 1:22:12Speaker 3: You have?
- 1:22:13Speaker 4: I have? Oh, I never have, one thousand percent. I
- 1:22:15Speaker 4: have really multiple, multiple occasions.
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just like kind of like the ones that
- 1:22:23Speaker 2: when there's flash flooding people decide to just go ahead
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: and go through the flash flood. It's like, dude, it
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: was really a lot deeper than you thought. What were
- 1:22:29Speaker 2: you thinking? I've never done that before. So have you
- 1:22:33Speaker 2: literally removed to bury and gone through the road?
- 1:22:35Speaker 3: I have?
- 1:22:37Speaker 4: I don't want to say, I don't say much. I
- 1:22:39Speaker 4: don't want to say much more than that, but yes
- 1:22:41Speaker 4: I have.
- 1:22:42Speaker 3: Why can't we say much more than that? It was
- 1:22:43Speaker 3: just reason? Is that?
- 1:22:44Speaker 4: Why? I know? But I mean, like I said, There's
- 1:22:47Speaker 4: been several occasions. One time, probably the most memorable one.
- 1:22:51Speaker 4: It was because of a flooded road. They still had
- 1:22:54Speaker 4: the barriers up and the road wasn't flooded. So I said, well,
- 1:22:57Speaker 4: I'm not going I'm not turning around and going along
- 1:23:00Speaker 4: longer way. I'm just gonna drive on through. I'll move that.
- 1:23:02Speaker 4: So I did. I got out and moved the barrier,
- 1:23:04Speaker 4: pulled past it, moved it back, and then drove up
- 1:23:07Speaker 4: to the next one, moved that one, drove through. Are
- 1:23:09Speaker 4: you serious? Wow? Okay, well I was on a country
- 1:23:13Speaker 4: road like Well, here's.
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: My question, though, since he damaged his truck and the
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: road that the crews had already toward the cement, do
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: you think the driver should be responsible for paying for
- 1:23:27Speaker 2: the repair of the damage that he created?
- 1:23:30Speaker 4: No question.
- 1:23:31Speaker 2: See that's the problem I have as well. I think
- 1:23:34Speaker 2: he should be responsible for payment of how much they
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: had to go back and for labor and supplies to
- 1:23:42Speaker 2: fix the what he ruined.
- 1:23:46Speaker 3: I've always thought that.
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: Yeah, just like just like with the parents out there
- 1:23:50Speaker 2: that when their kid, you know, because the summertimes starting
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: now with all the fools opening up, when their kid
- 1:23:56Speaker 2: goes in the bathroom, in the pool. Don't you think
- 1:23:59Speaker 2: the parents should pay for the cleanup of the mess
- 1:24:01Speaker 2: in the pool. I've always thought that no.
- 1:24:04Speaker 4: Because that's a different situation, because that's something that you like.
- 1:24:08Speaker 4: There's not much of a cleanup. You just gotta, I guess,
- 1:24:11Speaker 4: drain it. I don't know.
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: I don't know what you I don't know what you do.
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: But that's a pool I don't want to get back in.
- 1:24:15Speaker 4: All I know is when I worked at summer camp
- 1:24:18Speaker 4: in college, it was we we did have a code brown.
- 1:24:21Speaker 4: We did have one code brown.
- 1:24:24Speaker 3: And it wasn't a baby ruth.
- 1:24:26Speaker 4: It was not a baby rooth.
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: Okay, that's disgusting. All right, what's your driver's story you
- 1:24:31Speaker 2: want to talk about?
- 1:24:32Speaker 4: All right? So I don't know if you saw this yesterday,
- 1:24:34Speaker 4: but this was down in Florida, which should surprise absolutely nobody. Yes, Well,
- 1:24:40Speaker 4: this woman gets pulled over for texting or for using
- 1:24:45Speaker 4: her phone. Yeah, her right hand.
- 1:24:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:24:48Speaker 4: The officer comes up to the car, tells her that
- 1:24:51Speaker 4: she was using her phone in her right hand, and
- 1:24:54Speaker 4: she proceeds to put up her arm that she doesn't
- 1:24:59Speaker 4: have a right hand. It looks like, yeah, it looked
- 1:25:02Speaker 4: like her arm was cut up to the elbow maybe
- 1:25:06Speaker 4: is where it was amputade exactly. So she doesn't have
- 1:25:09Speaker 4: a right hand, but yet he saw her using her
- 1:25:12Speaker 4: phone in her right hand proceeded to give her a ticket.
- 1:25:17Speaker 2: Yeah, and you know he's gone back and tried to
- 1:25:20Speaker 2: remove the ticket, now, has he? Yeah, he has. He's
- 1:25:23Speaker 2: tried to go back and say, oh, I made a mistake.
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: We need to take that Ticke. Non't believe you made
- 1:25:27Speaker 2: a mistake, buddy, Yeah, yeah, I know that that that's
- 1:25:30Speaker 2: crazy right there. What is it about the right hand though?
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: That you can't use your phone?
- 1:25:34Speaker 3: Though? I don't understand.
- 1:25:35Speaker 4: No, you can't. You can't have or you can't have
- 1:25:39Speaker 4: the phone. You can have your phone in your hand.
- 1:25:42Speaker 4: But I think the issue here was he didn't have
- 1:25:44Speaker 4: evidence that she was like actually texting or using her phone.
- 1:25:47Speaker 4: She was just holding it. So you can hold it
- 1:25:51Speaker 4: while you're driving in Florida, you just can't actively use it.
- 1:25:55Speaker 4: So I think that's why, probably why he was trying
- 1:25:57Speaker 4: to take it back.
- 1:25:58Speaker 2: Right And I'm starting to really like these laws as
- 1:26:02Speaker 2: far as that goes, because I'm I'm I'm watching people
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: drive over into my lene as they're texting and all
- 1:26:06Speaker 2: kinds of stuff.
- 1:26:07Speaker 4: But anyway, he asked her, this is the best part
- 1:26:10Speaker 4: of the story. He asked her to put her hand
- 1:26:13Speaker 4: to God that she wasn't using her phone.
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: Oh that's terrible. Oh that's horrible. Please tell me no.
- 1:26:25Speaker 2: Oh my gosh. Yeah, that that's that. That's a bad
- 1:26:29Speaker 2: look right there. All right, So the Texter sent me back,
- 1:26:33Speaker 2: he said. Nick Ziggler from s I says Saint John's
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: is out. Also, Matt Norlander is predicting the UK. There
- 1:26:40Speaker 2: you go, so there we go. Yeah, why why wait
- 1:26:42Speaker 2: this weekend? If all these people are predicting this kind
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: of stuff, let's just go aheading near it today. Okay,
- 1:26:46Speaker 2: let's have a fun Friday that we have. I mean,
- 1:26:52Speaker 2: I'm Mom Chilovich. She's gonna be a UK.
- 1:26:54Speaker 3: I mean that.
- 1:26:57Speaker 2: I would change the whole narrative. That would make the
- 1:26:58Speaker 2: rest of the summer exhaust Oh I know, I know,
- 1:27:02Speaker 2: but it would be fun. Jason Kelsey, I don't know
- 1:27:05Speaker 2: if you saw this or not, stated that he's concerned
- 1:27:08Speaker 2: that the NFL is slowly drifting away from playing football
- 1:27:11Speaker 2: on Sunday that fans grew up with. I could not
- 1:27:16Speaker 2: agree with him more. You know, the Kelsey Brothers begin
- 1:27:19Speaker 2: to get on my nerves. But on the other hand,
- 1:27:21Speaker 2: they do make some pretty good comments like this right here,
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: And do you think that is going to affect NFL football?
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: No?
- 1:27:29Speaker 2: No, But it is kind of sad they're drifting away
- 1:27:32Speaker 2: from it because what you last week that you said,
- 1:27:34Speaker 2: isn't there an NFL game pretty much on every single
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: day next year, with the exception of Tuesday. Isn't that crazy?
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: And you know, growing up, games were mostly played on
- 1:27:48Speaker 2: Sunday during the playoffs, so you'd have some games on Saturday.
- 1:27:52Speaker 2: But now you have them on every single day Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday,
- 1:27:56Speaker 2: Sunday and Monday.
- 1:27:57Speaker 4: Not just because the NFL knows they can do whatever
- 1:28:00Speaker 4: I want, people are still going to watch.
- 1:28:02Speaker 3: They are going to watch.
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: I just what is it about NFL that is just
- 1:28:07Speaker 2: absolutely obliterating NBA, MLB.
- 1:28:13Speaker 3: Hockey? What is it?
- 1:28:17Speaker 4: Honestly? For me? I think it's the number of games,
- 1:28:20Speaker 4: just the fact that they only play seventeen versus all
- 1:28:23Speaker 4: these other pro sports that are in the hundreds for
- 1:28:25Speaker 4: games or eighty two or whatever. It is just seventeen games.
- 1:28:30Speaker 4: It feels like it means a lot more than eighty
- 1:28:32Speaker 4: two or one hundred and sixty two.
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, well, I mean and you're probably right in
- 1:28:39Speaker 2: the fact that you don't have so many games. And
- 1:28:41Speaker 2: that's what's in because now I think the NBA is
- 1:28:43Speaker 2: being watched a lot more. I think people don't really
- 1:28:46Speaker 2: pay as much attention to regular season, but as soon
- 1:28:50Speaker 2: as the playoffs come and closer you get to the
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: NBA Finals, I think more people are watching because I'm
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: watching them now and I haven't watched I don't think
- 1:28:59Speaker 2: I watch but maybe one or two regular season NBA games.
- 1:29:04Speaker 3: And that was it?
- 1:29:05Speaker 4: Is it?
- 1:29:06Speaker 2: Really?
- 1:29:06Speaker 3: You watched zero?
- 1:29:07Speaker 4: I don't watch regular season NBA No.
- 1:29:09Speaker 2: Yeah, And I'm starting to watch those championship games.
- 1:29:12Speaker 3: They've been fun games to watch.
- 1:29:14Speaker 2: I did enjoy that Knicks even though it wasn't good
- 1:29:17Speaker 2: for the Cavaliers, But that was a fun series if
- 1:29:19Speaker 2: you're if you're rooting for the Knicks. But uh, and
- 1:29:23Speaker 2: and and if they get Oklahoma City, which it's you know,
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: we'll see they play again tonight, right, Oklahoma City and
- 1:29:29Speaker 2: the Spurs. So uh, if they get uh Shay Gilgis
- 1:29:33Speaker 2: against cat that's gonna be a fun series.
- 1:29:37Speaker 4: There is a Kentucky player on both teams in the
- 1:29:39Speaker 4: finals because you got Keldon Johnson for the Spurs.
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: I forgot about Keldon Johnson with the Actually, that's right,
- 1:29:48Speaker 2: yes you got that, So we got a good It's
- 1:29:50Speaker 2: gonna be fun for a big blue nation out there
- 1:29:52Speaker 2: watching both those. I wonder who they will pick though.
- 1:29:58Speaker 2: Is it gonna be uh Fu and Keldon Johnson or
- 1:30:02Speaker 2: is it gonna be Cat I don't know either.
- 1:30:04Speaker 4: It feels like whoever wins the Western Conference is going
- 1:30:07Speaker 4: to be the favorite in the finals.
- 1:30:09Speaker 3: It is okay, you know.
- 1:30:11Speaker 2: Going back down to Florida, I saw the story a
- 1:30:14Speaker 2: couple of days ago where you know how they've had
- 1:30:17Speaker 2: a couple of years ago, they had the hurricanes down
- 1:30:19Speaker 2: in Florida. This one person that a lot of houses
- 1:30:23Speaker 2: have been raised, so instead of being your house on
- 1:30:26Speaker 2: the ground, they are literally raising their houses up. Normally
- 1:30:31Speaker 2: you're raising them anywhere from ten to twelve feet. This
- 1:30:34Speaker 2: one particular couple has raised their house Are you ready
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: for this twenty four feet into the air from the ground.
- 1:30:46Speaker 2: And I'm trying to figure out why are you raising
- 1:30:48Speaker 2: it that much? They just waid, well, we want to
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: make certain we don't get flooded again, and we're gonna
- 1:30:53Speaker 2: put a lower floor. So there is This is engineering
- 1:30:57Speaker 2: marvel at its best. I'm amazed by this. They are
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: taking a house that has been built and raising it
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: twenty four feet in the air, and then on top
- 1:31:05Speaker 2: of it all they're going to put other rooms another
- 1:31:09Speaker 2: floor underneath.
- 1:31:10Speaker 4: It.
- 1:31:12Speaker 3: Is that the crazy thing. I don't know how they
- 1:31:14Speaker 3: do it.
- 1:31:14Speaker 2: So they've been doing it around the neighborhood I'm in Florida,
- 1:31:17Speaker 2: and then it is something to watch. I don't know
- 1:31:19Speaker 2: how they do it without the house breaking.
- 1:31:21Speaker 4: I mean, you gotta do what you gotta do. I guess.
- 1:31:23Speaker 4: So the house is already built and they're just lifting
- 1:31:26Speaker 4: it up.
- 1:31:27Speaker 3: They're lifting it up in the air.
- 1:31:29Speaker 2: Yeah, they're doing it in a multiple houses down in
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: Florida so it doesn't get flooded again. So yeah, they're
- 1:31:35Speaker 2: typically it's around ten or twelve feet they're raising it up.
- 1:31:38Speaker 2: They're doing this one twenty four feet. It is something
- 1:31:41Speaker 2: to watch. They'll put in like those I don't know
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: what it is, some kind of the train, you know
- 1:31:48Speaker 2: how you have those woods in between the rails, and
- 1:31:53Speaker 2: they're just building it up on that and they just
- 1:31:54Speaker 2: keep raising it, raising it higher it's amazing to watch.
- 1:31:57Speaker 2: But all right, everybody, we'll let you go. Appreciate you listening,
- 1:32:01Speaker 2: and we'll talk about UK baseball tomorrow. But have a
- 1:32:04Speaker 2: great day and uh we'll see you tomorrow.
- 1:32:06Speaker 4: Take care of me.
- 1:32:07Speaker 5: Doctor Mullenburg County down by the Green, never were paradised
- 1:32:12Speaker 5: edge well little sorry my son much at j League
- 1:32:18Speaker 5: and asking mister p Bo.
- 1:32:21Speaker 4: This cold train.
- 1:32:22Speaker 5: It's all the way
