- 0:53Speaker 2: No, no, that's actually really good.
- 1:01Speaker 3: That's really good.
- 1:01Speaker 2: You had a lot of time to sit there and
- 1:03Speaker 2: think this weekend, so you came up with a lot
- 1:05Speaker 2: of different things, a.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Lot of one liners, a lot of a lot of
- 1:08Speaker 3: players to break down.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Uh yeah, LSU goes down, the Saints go down.
- 1:15Speaker 3: I'm sure the Saints have lost a lot of games,
- 1:16Speaker 3: but it's how.
- 1:17Speaker 2: They went down, how LSU went down, or underdogs in
- 1:21Speaker 2: the game, but it's the things that happen in the game.
- 1:24Speaker 2: You're gonna see. You'll see a lot a lot of
- 1:27Speaker 2: clips today. Probably not, No, might it might be good,
- 1:32Speaker 2: it'd be real bad.
- 1:33Speaker 4: Radio Tis. We might watch a lot of film.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Yes, Theater of the Mind. We'll do our best to
- 1:39Speaker 3: set it up.
- 1:40Speaker 2: But today's one of those days that if you could
- 1:43Speaker 2: get to your desk, if you can, you know, maybe
- 1:46Speaker 2: have a business call that you got to take. And
- 1:50Speaker 2: what it really means you go to your car and
- 1:51Speaker 2: pull up your phone and pull up YouTube. Maybe maybe
- 1:53Speaker 2: that's a good day to do that here today, gosh,
- 1:58Speaker 2: just well, look, we'll get there. We'll get there like
- 2:03Speaker 2: we always do. Though, I want to see how much
- 2:04Speaker 2: people are doing.
- 2:06Speaker 3: How are you.
- 2:07Speaker 4: I'm not great, Jake, not great at all, buddy.
- 2:12Speaker 5: But you know what, when you walk through those doors today,
- 2:16Speaker 5: I think a little sunshine came in.
- 2:17Speaker 4: You know why? Why is that you have a beautiful mustache?
- 2:20Speaker 2: Oh thank you. It's the most exciting thing that happened
- 2:22Speaker 2: to me this weekend.
- 2:24Speaker 4: You're trying to be like the young ones, the young baseball.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Players out there. They win so maybe so why not? Yeah,
- 2:33Speaker 2: LSU baseball wins championships. But you know what to in
- 2:36Speaker 2: the last three years, maybe I can get some of
- 2:38Speaker 2: that energy.
- 2:40Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Well I also kept the soul patch though.
- 2:42Speaker 4: I'm not uh yeah, I do see that.
- 2:44Speaker 5: I think that's a little bit more than a lot
- 2:45Speaker 5: of the youths do. I think they're just strict, strict mustache.
- 2:50Speaker 5: I think, oh yeah, think it's a little bit so bad.
- 2:52Speaker 5: But yeah, I enjoyed a good soul. I was saying,
- 2:54Speaker 5: I don't I'm not doing great. It wasn't a good watch.
- 2:58Speaker 5: It didn't get a good feeling in the game. Certainly
- 3:01Speaker 5: a terrible feeling after the game. We LSU went out
- 3:05Speaker 5: there and they got beat by a better football team,
- 3:10Speaker 5: a better team, a team that's better at tackle football
- 3:12Speaker 5: than you're LSU Tigers. Vanderbilt, Vanderbilt better at football than LSU.
- 3:18Speaker 5: Not really a day that I thought i'd see coming.
- 3:21Speaker 4: Now.
- 3:21Speaker 5: A lot of credit goes to Vanderbilt, So credit to them.
- 3:25Speaker 5: They've built a nice little program there. They're very well coached,
- 3:29Speaker 5: and they played good. Yeah, they knew they were good.
- 3:32Speaker 5: We knew they were good going into it.
- 3:33Speaker 2: We're going diversity all over the place, and what they
- 3:36Speaker 2: do offensively and defensively.
- 3:40Speaker 4: And they execute very well.
- 3:41Speaker 5: Yeah hard those guys, and I got a good grit,
- 3:44Speaker 5: good attitude. I watched their offensive line on video. My god,
- 3:48Speaker 5: they they're just they're impressive. They got a lot of
- 3:50Speaker 5: draft they got a lot of future draft picks on
- 3:52Speaker 5: that offensive line, and they they looked like it certainly,
- 3:56Speaker 5: so anyway, well coached, So hats off to them. We're
- 4:00Speaker 5: gonna go ahead and get that out of the way.
- 4:02Speaker 5: Hats off to Vanderbilt right now. You played great. You
- 4:08Speaker 5: proved every single drive pretty much that you were the
- 4:11Speaker 5: better football team. You improved the like quarter one, quarter two,
- 4:15Speaker 5: quarter three, quarter four. There wasn't one quarter where LSU
- 4:18Speaker 5: was better than you, So kudos to you. Hats off
- 4:20Speaker 5: Clark Lee, You've done an amazing job. Diego Pavia. You
- 4:23Speaker 5: are a dude. I don't know how you're going to
- 4:25Speaker 5: be at the next level. I don't really care, because
- 4:28Speaker 5: at this level you're great. And what you did and
- 4:31Speaker 5: what you do and what you bring out of the
- 4:33Speaker 5: other ten guys on the team and the other eleven
- 4:36Speaker 5: guys on the other side of the ball, what you
- 4:37Speaker 5: bring out in your team is impressive. So I'm gonna
- 4:41Speaker 5: get it out of the way. Y'all beat LSU. Y'all
- 4:45Speaker 5: beat us soundly. Congratulations to y'all. The rest of this show,
- 4:52Speaker 5: we're gonna talk about LSU. So right now I want
- 4:54Speaker 5: to say congratulations because you did it.
- 4:56Speaker 4: You deserve it. Give you your flowers.
- 4:58Speaker 5: You made LSU and all the things we're going to
- 5:01Speaker 5: talk about about LSU in this show, y'all cause that so,
- 5:06Speaker 5: I just want to get that out of the way.
- 5:08Speaker 5: I don't want anybody to get it twisted that we
- 5:10Speaker 5: think that LSU just lost this game because y'all want
- 5:13Speaker 5: it and y'all made LSU, you know, look bad. A
- 5:16Speaker 5: lot of times, there are some positive things to take
- 5:19Speaker 5: away all. There always is, no matter win, lose, draw, whatever,
- 5:22Speaker 5: there's always positive takeaway. There's always negatives to take away.
- 5:25Speaker 5: This time there's a little bit more negative minus a
- 5:27Speaker 5: little bit minus a little bit. But what they've what
- 5:31Speaker 5: they're doing over at Vanderbilt is, uh, it's pretty impressive.
- 5:35Speaker 5: And the one thing that kind of pisses me off
- 5:41Speaker 5: more than anything is, and it's a hard pill to swallow,
- 5:47Speaker 5: is I texted somebody after the game and I was like,
- 5:50Speaker 5: you know what, how many games had it been since
- 5:54Speaker 5: Vanderbilt had beaten LSU? Yeah, and been up since nineteen ninety,
- 5:58Speaker 5: nineteen ninety, hadn't been favorited, been over a top ten team,
- 6:01Speaker 5: and since seventy seven or something. Yeah, you beat LSU
- 6:08Speaker 5: and you didn't rush the field. Yeah, that means the
- 6:12Speaker 5: fan base expected it. Oh yeah, the team expected it.
- 6:15Speaker 5: It was no surprise to anybody. And I was like, huh,
- 6:19Speaker 5: that's like a pretty historical monumental when when you like
- 6:22Speaker 5: the build up.
- 6:23Speaker 4: To this game, I was like, they didn't even rust
- 6:24Speaker 4: the field. It tells you something. It tells you something
- 6:27Speaker 4: right there.
- 6:27Speaker 2: I mean even they even said after the game, because
- 6:29Speaker 2: we're still doing postgame, they're like, all right, fans, the
- 6:32Speaker 2: clock is over, ya can now come on the field.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Yeah when I say, it was the most gingerly walk
- 6:37Speaker 2: you've ever seen, Yeah, like single file one at a time,
- 6:40Speaker 2: like okay.
- 6:40Speaker 3: We'll come down there.
- 6:41Speaker 5: Yeah, we come in here all the time. Like, man,
- 6:44Speaker 5: why they rust the field? They didn't they they were
- 6:46Speaker 5: a favorite or they were blah blah blah blah blah.
- 6:49Speaker 5: This is one of those times where it's like, hey,
- 6:51Speaker 5: it's probably kind of warranted. I feel like Vanderbilt's just
- 6:53Speaker 5: been waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, and they've waited waited, waited,
- 6:57Speaker 5: waited for you know, forty years. They did it, and
- 7:01Speaker 5: they did it soundly, and it wasn't lucky. Yeah, oh no,
- 7:03Speaker 5: get out there, students.
- 7:05Speaker 2: There was nothing, There was nothing less about them being
- 7:07Speaker 2: victorious over lsu. No, it was a it was a
- 7:12Speaker 2: feeling after and I'm not kidding you, I'd say ten
- 7:16Speaker 2: plays into the game, maybe fifteen maybe. I remember I
- 7:21Speaker 2: remember looking over Chris and me like we're in trouble.
- 7:24Speaker 2: I told her we got off if said, hey, we're
- 7:26Speaker 2: in trouble. Yep, because it had that after ten or
- 7:29Speaker 2: fifteen plays that had that that feel to it. H
- 7:35Speaker 2: broby fifteen, I guess because you had you have maybe
- 7:37Speaker 2: maybe you had a long drive.
- 7:38Speaker 3: And then when they got the ball, it's like we're
- 7:41Speaker 3: in trouble.
- 7:41Speaker 5: Even even in a lot of the scoring drives you saw,
- 7:44Speaker 5: it wasn't like we were just beating them to move
- 7:48Speaker 5: down the field a couple of plays here, in a
- 7:50Speaker 5: couple of plays there. But like the how Vanderbilt is
- 7:54Speaker 5: very methodical, like we we we kind of broke.
- 7:57Speaker 4: It down last week leading up to the game.
- 7:58Speaker 5: They do everything and they do everything well, Yeah, on offense,
- 8:02Speaker 5: they're gonna.
- 8:02Speaker 4: Hit you his own, they're gonna hit you his own.
- 8:04Speaker 5: Read jet, sweep, fake jet, sweep, screen past, dank, dunk, dink, dunk, scramble, scramble,
- 8:09Speaker 5: no slide, then a shot play. Yeah, they do everything.
- 8:12Speaker 5: On defense, they same thing. Cover one, Cover two, Cover three,
- 8:16Speaker 5: Cover four, zero. Take send some cover zero. Let's bluff
- 8:19Speaker 5: the cover zero after we've run it one or two
- 8:21Speaker 5: times because we think elis she's gonna overadjust for cover
- 8:24Speaker 5: zero and change into a seven man protection.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Wait are you saying putting the tight end and running
- 8:29Speaker 2: back literally like in place like mannekins is a bad thing.
- 8:32Speaker 5: Yeah, and not even not even sliding the offensive line.
- 8:36Speaker 5: We'll get to it. We'll get to it. Oh my god.
- 8:40Speaker 3: They did that like three times and I was.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Like, stop adjusting to it. Oh god, you can pick
- 8:49Speaker 2: up cover zero long enough. With six guys, you can,
- 8:53Speaker 2: and you should. Now there's plenty of times that the
- 8:58Speaker 2: tackle should squeeze to the B gap instead of let
- 9:02Speaker 2: the guy come out anyway. It's like we're gonna watch,
- 9:05Speaker 2: We're gonna do it. We're gonna do it, guys, we're
- 9:07Speaker 2: gonna get through this this three hours. We're gonna do
- 9:10Speaker 2: it together together. Yeah, because we're a team. We are,
- 9:15Speaker 2: We're in it with you, and we feel just like
- 9:17Speaker 2: everybody else that's listening, every other fan. And I'm sure
- 9:20Speaker 2: to look and I'm sure the team feels worse than
- 9:23Speaker 2: all of us do.
- 9:27Speaker 4: Mm hmm, you hope.
- 9:28Speaker 5: So I mean they feel worse about the loss. Like,
- 9:31Speaker 5: I don't know if they're quite as mad as the
- 9:33Speaker 5: L s U fan base. They're upset that they lost.
- 9:36Speaker 5: Of course, Hey look on the bright side, though, play
- 9:42Speaker 5: at home this week. Cant um, I'm not.
- 9:54Speaker 6: I don't know, guys, I don't really feel like that's
- 9:56Speaker 6: gonna go.
- 10:00Speaker 2: How you doing, Yeah, you were in Nashville. You had
- 10:04Speaker 2: a fun remote on Friday? Yea, Yeah, y'alls hotel was
- 10:08Speaker 2: like in the stadium.
- 10:09Speaker 6: It was in the stadium basically for the game.
- 10:12Speaker 3: And I was like, hold up.
- 10:14Speaker 6: Why is she in pajamas?
- 10:15Speaker 3: Is not dressed yet?
- 10:16Speaker 2: I got ready for the game, I was like, and
- 10:19Speaker 2: then Gory's like, no, our Hotel's like, that's our hotel, Okay.
- 10:22Speaker 6: I was not dressed.
- 10:23Speaker 7: And that's what I was telling Matt this morning that
- 10:25Speaker 7: I hope I'm not in the background of any L
- 10:27Speaker 7: issue football video.
- 10:29Speaker 6: I cannot be.
- 10:30Speaker 7: I was in like a dev red Beans and Rice shirt, yeah,
- 10:33Speaker 7: and like, yeah, yeah, the remote was a really big
- 10:39Speaker 7: way off my I feel like I was stressed about
- 10:41Speaker 7: that for like two weeks because we had a bunch
- 10:42Speaker 7: of stuff, like Taylor knows, we needed like a new
- 10:46Speaker 7: com Rex because we only had one and.
- 10:48Speaker 6: Y'all were on remote, so there's just like a lot
- 10:50Speaker 6: going on.
- 10:50Speaker 3: Yeah, we had some we had some stuff. But Cassie help.
- 10:54Speaker 6: Yeah, Shadow Cassie figured it out.
- 10:56Speaker 7: Yeah, she was a huge, huge help last week.
- 11:01Speaker 6: But it went well. It was it was very overwhelming.
- 11:04Speaker 7: There was a lot of people there, and there's a
- 11:07Speaker 7: band plane while Matt was on air, and like, there's
- 11:10Speaker 7: just a lot going on.
- 11:12Speaker 6: So glad that got out the way. Saturday was horrible.
- 11:16Speaker 6: I I was.
- 11:17Speaker 7: So mad and I felt like I had to I
- 11:21Speaker 7: stayed the whole time, but there were points where I
- 11:23Speaker 7: felt like I literally had to leave because I was
- 11:26Speaker 7: starting to get you can't do anything in the press box.
- 11:30Speaker 7: Some I'm sitting there like clenching my fists, just getting angry,
- 11:34Speaker 7: and I felt like I wanted to leave just so
- 11:36Speaker 7: that I could get angrier. But there were so many
- 11:43Speaker 7: Arthur fists I can't even begin to tell you. And
- 11:45Speaker 7: then in the middle of that, Ross TeX's the Louisiana
- 11:49Speaker 7: Sports Group chat that the Saints are having extension talks
- 11:52Speaker 7: with Chris Olave.
- 11:53Speaker 6: Which he went off yesterday. He wants that extension real,
- 11:58Speaker 6: real bad.
- 12:00Speaker 3: That fourth down call was so bad.
- 12:01Speaker 7: Sorry, yeah, it was that game yesterday was also abysmal.
- 12:05Speaker 6: But yeah, other than that, got back yesterday early. That's
- 12:11Speaker 6: that it was just like.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Just not I mean, I know you were you were
- 12:15Speaker 2: in saying both me like if you were in Nashville,
- 12:17Speaker 2: you didn't have a good time.
- 12:20Speaker 7: We were went to dinner after and we were just
- 12:22Speaker 7: like not even we didn't even.
- 12:26Speaker 4: The dinner.
- 12:27Speaker 3: Yeah, certainly after you get your butt kicked.
- 12:30Speaker 7: Every once in a while one of us would be like, man,
- 12:32Speaker 7: I'm just so mad, Yeah, just so made.
- 12:38Speaker 3: How about you did the Bucks play yet?
- 12:39Speaker 8: No, they played a night well, I mean physically or mentally,
- 12:43Speaker 8: physically mentally.
- 12:49Speaker 3: Coming back they did the Cardinal.
- 12:52Speaker 8: It went from like anger on Saturday, and then I
- 12:55Speaker 8: woke up yesterday morning.
- 12:56Speaker 6: I'm just like, you know, I'm also about to send out.
- 12:59Speaker 8: Of it, just out of it.
- 13:01Speaker 4: Mentally.
- 13:01Speaker 8: It's like season's over. You haven't even got the November yet.
- 13:05Speaker 8: How many times are we going to continue to say
- 13:06Speaker 8: that like that's that's that's what.
- 13:08Speaker 4: That's just where I'm at.
- 13:09Speaker 8: It's just it's one of those things where, like, you know,
- 13:12Speaker 8: I've been a fan of my entire life, I don't
- 13:14Speaker 8: really enjoy watching this team because like, there's been teams
- 13:17Speaker 8: in the past that have went ten and two, nine
- 13:19Speaker 8: and three that have fought their ass off, and I've
- 13:22Speaker 8: enjoyed watching them.
- 13:23Speaker 4: I don't enjoy watching this. Yeah, this is kind of
- 13:25Speaker 4: taking the joy out.
- 13:26Speaker 8: No, it's not a fun watch.
- 13:28Speaker 4: You put your finger on it.
- 13:30Speaker 8: How much time we got?
- 13:32Speaker 4: Three hours?
- 13:33Speaker 8: We have three hours we got There's a lot, man,
- 13:35Speaker 8: like you got out physical. I'm okay with losing again.
- 13:38Speaker 8: You got out physically from the opening.
- 13:41Speaker 6: Two clips y'all sent last night, and.
- 13:44Speaker 8: They could probably send ten more.
- 13:46Speaker 4: Right, Yeah, ten.
- 13:50Speaker 6: LSU.
- 13:51Speaker 7: I just sent in the group chat, Taylor, if you
- 13:53Speaker 7: want to try to pull it up. I need y'all
- 13:54Speaker 7: to look at this espresso martini. I got the hotel
- 13:59Speaker 7: you saw it. This is what LSU. This is what
- 14:02Speaker 7: Saturday LSU's game vibe gave me.
- 14:06Speaker 6: Was this dumb espresso Martini that I got.
- 14:09Speaker 4: And we out?
- 14:13Speaker 5: Physical is an understatement? Yeah, it honestly is. People couldn't
- 14:18Speaker 5: get off. There was a early in the game they
- 14:20Speaker 5: had a tight end number sixteen. Is it Calvin Johnson
- 14:26Speaker 5: out there? Oh my god, Calvin Johnson? Was it George
- 14:29Speaker 5: Kittle blocking first drive of the game? He locks up
- 14:31Speaker 5: Harold Perkins and doesn't let him go for about ten seconds.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Yeah. God, that's their backup tight end.
- 14:38Speaker 5: By the way, number sixteen tight end was blocking the
- 14:44Speaker 5: hell out of LSU defenders and they could not get
- 14:46Speaker 5: off the block. Tight end wearing one with the six
- 14:50Speaker 5: after it all.
- 14:53Speaker 3: Right, let's just go ahead and take a break.
- 14:56Speaker 2: It's gonna be We'll just we're gonna dive straight into it.
- 15:00Speaker 2: There's no pleasant pleasant trees after a game like that.
- 15:05Speaker 2: It is what it is.
- 15:07Speaker 4: We make it clear though, like kudos to Vanderbilt the way.
- 15:10Speaker 3: But it's just like, look what we did.
- 15:12Speaker 4: No, Vanderbilt with your won that game.
- 15:15Speaker 8: There's a lot of times where it's like, oh, you
- 15:17Speaker 8: made a bone at a mistake at the end and
- 15:19Speaker 8: you lost the game. Vanderbilt won that game.
- 15:21Speaker 3: Even old miss. I'm like, you know, gosh, you didn't
- 15:24Speaker 3: make that play. No, no, no, no, Vanderbilt brought the fight
- 15:26Speaker 3: to you and you put your gloves down.
- 15:29Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:29Speaker 5: Sometimes like you lose to a worse team who just
- 15:32Speaker 5: gets hot. Sometimes you get unlucky in games. This game
- 15:36Speaker 5: you lost to a better football team. Yeah, they beat you.
- 15:40Speaker 5: You play them ten times, they beat you seven or
- 15:41Speaker 5: eight times.
- 15:42Speaker 2: In which there's a lot loaded in that statement, but
- 15:45Speaker 2: it's factual. And that's another one of the problems that
- 15:48Speaker 2: we're talking about. All right, let's go ahead, take a break,

- 19:10Speaker 5: get vitamized, go float IV.
- 19:14Speaker 2: All right, let's go ahead and dive straight into it. Matthew,
- 19:20Speaker 2: for you and for in this game, what was maybe
- 19:26Speaker 2: your biggest thing that went wrong? Like, what was the
- 19:29Speaker 2: one thing that you point to to say, like, this
- 19:32Speaker 2: is at a level where if it doesn't go up,
- 19:36Speaker 2: you're in trouble for the rest of your games outside
- 19:39Speaker 2: of Western Kentucky. Like, what was kind of the point
- 19:41Speaker 2: of emphasis for you here in this loss?
- 19:44Speaker 5: There's there, I mean, there's a number of things you
- 19:46Speaker 5: can point at. Right, there's a lot of finger pointing,
- 19:48Speaker 5: I guess. And it's not our job here to, you know,
- 19:53Speaker 5: call out individuals. It's not our job to call out,
- 19:56Speaker 5: you know, to finger point and say it's this guy's fault,
- 19:59Speaker 5: we lost this US fah blah blah blah. What we're
- 20:02Speaker 5: going to do is we are going to kind of
- 20:04Speaker 5: talk about just results, just units. In general. Offensive line
- 20:10Speaker 5: play is poor, has been all year, has been all season.
- 20:13Speaker 5: It was a big question mark going into the season.
- 20:16Speaker 5: I feel like the technique is poor a lot. I
- 20:19Speaker 5: feel like the technique that is being taught to them
- 20:22Speaker 5: for different types of plays is incorrect. Mike declarations sometimes
- 20:28Speaker 5: struggle and past protection and run protection, running back play well.
- 20:35Speaker 5: Offensive line play has been poor. Quarterback play has been
- 20:39Speaker 5: below the standard. Yeah, and if those two things do
- 20:42Speaker 5: not get fixed and get fixed fast, then you're looking
- 20:45Speaker 5: at a couple more losses on the schedule.
- 20:48Speaker 4: Now, can they be fixed? I don't know.
- 20:52Speaker 5: I feel like the offensive line group that you know
- 20:55Speaker 5: was at one point young, I just haven't seen development
- 20:59Speaker 5: consistent develop now they have. There's good plays. Everybody's gonna
- 21:02Speaker 5: have good plays. Right, there's times whe you're like, all right,
- 21:04Speaker 5: that was good, that was nice. Locked him up there,
- 21:06Speaker 5: shot off there, fired off. They worked this double team up.
- 21:10Speaker 5: But we've seen it. At the beginning of the year,
- 21:12Speaker 5: we were kind of excusing it, excusing it because it
- 21:14Speaker 5: was like, all right, well he just it was a
- 21:17Speaker 5: mental air like he was looking at the wrong backer,
- 21:19Speaker 5: he was had his eyes in the wrong location. Well,
- 21:22Speaker 5: we just I'm not seeing the improvement. I'm not seeing
- 21:25Speaker 5: where that is getting better. Past protection is at at
- 21:29Speaker 5: times really bad. No I mean, getles walking right back then,
- 21:34Speaker 5: I know, I know you don't want it's it's really poor,
- 21:37Speaker 5: really poor. Right tackle not playing well, left tackle not
- 21:39Speaker 5: playing well, quarterback not playing well. That's that's a recipe
- 21:46Speaker 5: for not playing very well as as a team and
- 21:48Speaker 5: as an offense. I mean, you're getting some good play,
- 21:50Speaker 5: you're wide receivers. Harlan Berry was a I mean I
- 21:52Speaker 5: thought a really har right spot.
- 21:54Speaker 2: Holland Berry looked great. I mean his patience and like
- 21:58Speaker 2: he's got some different juice to him. He chipped the
- 22:00Speaker 2: hell out of somebody one time, like he earns some
- 22:03Speaker 2: more playing time and a longer look. It was at
- 22:06Speaker 2: a point in the game, I'm like, twenty two that
- 22:08Speaker 2: need to come off the field, right, Like you can
- 22:10Speaker 2: tell sometimes when when guys have that that day.
- 22:14Speaker 3: He had it that.
- 22:15Speaker 2: Day, And every time I saw him leave the field,
- 22:16Speaker 2: I wanted to like buzz down, be like no, no,
- 22:18Speaker 2: I'll put him back out there.
- 22:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:19Speaker 5: I mean he's he's clearly got the best vision from
- 22:22Speaker 5: getting the running back room, the best feel, the best vision.
- 22:24Speaker 5: Kidding Durham, I think he still makes some really good
- 22:26Speaker 5: plays and and does, but he doesn't seem to have
- 22:31Speaker 5: just that natural instinctive vision. And then my I guess
- 22:35Speaker 5: my third thought on the offense outside of just the physicalness,
- 22:39Speaker 5: so offensive line play has to improve, quarterback play has
- 22:42Speaker 5: to improve.
- 22:44Speaker 4: Schematically. I just sometimes I sit there.
- 22:48Speaker 5: And when I'm watching the film and I'm watching the
- 22:50Speaker 5: game flow, and I just tilt my head like what
- 22:52Speaker 5: are we doing schematically?
- 22:54Speaker 4: Like I don't know if there's you know, missed calls.
- 22:59Speaker 5: Something not getting relayed down properly or relayed to the
- 23:02Speaker 5: players properly. But I see I see issues in play designs.
- 23:11Speaker 5: Not all the time, but sometimes, like we're running, there's
- 23:14Speaker 5: too many RPOs, flat off.
- 23:16Speaker 4: I've said it all year, I've been I've harped on it.
- 23:18Speaker 5: There's too many RPOs, too many RPOs, and it creates
- 23:23Speaker 5: issues for offensive linemen they can't fire off the ball.
- 23:27Speaker 4: But then it also.
- 23:28Speaker 5: Creates you don't get you don't get blocking on the
- 23:32Speaker 5: third level of the defense by your receivers, right, you're
- 23:35Speaker 5: running hitch routes with your receivers in the slot who
- 23:40Speaker 5: should be digging out of safety. And then multiple times
- 23:44Speaker 5: this game, you you break through the first two levels
- 23:47Speaker 5: of the defense and you're one on one with the
- 23:49Speaker 5: safety that's safety should.
- 23:51Speaker 4: Be getting dug out by the receiver. Yep.
- 23:53Speaker 5: In every single offense I've ever seen in my whole
- 23:55Speaker 5: life in football, and if you're going to run an RPO,
- 24:00Speaker 5: you don't run an RPO to the play side, right,
- 24:03Speaker 5: you run a backsack side.
- 24:04Speaker 4: Yep. No, we do it on boath side.
- 24:07Speaker 2: Yeah, because to your point, playside, you break a run
- 24:10Speaker 2: the third level, second level even Yeah, there's a defender
- 24:15Speaker 2: there because that defender is not worried about the hitch.
- 24:17Speaker 5: Yep, And I just and I don't think that. I
- 24:20Speaker 5: don't know what's And again, everybody has different rules for
- 24:22Speaker 5: their RPOs, like what when are we going to run it?
- 24:24Speaker 1: Here?
- 24:24Speaker 4: Do we run it? Do we do we pass it? Taylor?
- 24:27Speaker 5: Can you pull up my screen? This is just an example.
- 24:30Speaker 5: This is early in the game. This is this is
- 24:32Speaker 5: the first down. I think we had just gotten a
- 24:33Speaker 5: third down, and so this is our This is a
- 24:36Speaker 5: running play.
- 24:37Speaker 4: It's an RP O.
- 24:37Speaker 5: Look right, So we got stacked defenders up at the top,
- 24:41Speaker 5: receivers down to the bottom. We have a we have
- 24:44Speaker 5: an inside zone called to the right here and running
- 24:48Speaker 5: game is a numbers game. You have two high safeties
- 24:50Speaker 5: one two. We're gonna run the ball to the right. Okay,
- 24:56Speaker 5: you got three linemen to block, three defenders, hand the
- 25:00Speaker 5: ball off, stop throwing wide receiver screens. It is a
- 25:04Speaker 5: hard play to be successful. Yeah, a couple of times
- 25:08Speaker 5: it hits for six or seven, you're like, oh yeah,
- 25:10Speaker 5: it's an extension of the running game. More often times,
- 25:13Speaker 5: more often than not, you're gonna get a holding call
- 25:16Speaker 5: by the receipt she did, which.
- 25:17Speaker 3: She did, and bower Sharp got one.
- 25:19Speaker 5: Yeah, and then I can't stand seeing it to three
- 25:22Speaker 5: receivers stacked because even if they make their blocks, it's
- 25:25Speaker 5: not like the defenders disappear and they're not there anymore.
- 25:28Speaker 4: They're still there. You have to navigate them.
- 25:31Speaker 2: So we'll go to the back end and as a
- 25:35Speaker 2: running back if you like. If this isn't handed off,
- 25:38Speaker 2: I am pretty pissed.
- 25:39Speaker 4: So this is a numbers game.
- 25:40Speaker 5: You got one two three, one two three, you run
- 25:43Speaker 5: it one hundred percent of the times. If you run
- 25:46Speaker 5: that play one hundred times, you hand this ball off
- 25:48Speaker 5: a one hundred times. I don't know what's being taught.
- 25:52Speaker 5: I don't know what Garrett is seeing. Maybe he's doing
- 25:56Speaker 5: exactly what he's being taught. If you get a cloud corner,
- 25:59Speaker 5: you should never throw that against a cloud corner, for one.
- 26:02Speaker 5: But if he hands it off, who's stopping twenty nine? Yeah,
- 26:11Speaker 5: don't worry. We got two out of it.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Yeah, Because I mean for Kadin Durham, there's multiple places
- 26:17Speaker 2: actually he could go.
- 26:18Speaker 3: He could try to go inside of the tackle.
- 26:20Speaker 5: I just don't know. I just don't understand. I don't
- 26:22Speaker 5: know the rules. And I mean, and I doubt that's
- 26:25Speaker 5: his rule. He has to hand that ball off because
- 26:27Speaker 5: there's multiple other times where there's things that happen that
- 26:30Speaker 5: I know he's not being taught, but maybe you know,
- 26:32Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 26:33Speaker 4: We have to speculate.
- 26:34Speaker 5: And all I can do is give you opinions and
- 26:36Speaker 5: thoughts on what I was coached to do. Yeah, and
- 26:40Speaker 5: not just by like one offense. I'm talking about like seven.
- 26:45Speaker 5: I don't think there's one. I don't think that's one.
- 26:47Speaker 5: LSU offense is like an outlier, yeah, like where they
- 26:49Speaker 5: just have different rules than everybody else.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Yeah, and like and to your point, like there's multiple
- 26:55Speaker 2: places like I said that Kanen, Like if he's given
- 26:57Speaker 2: the ball there, you can try to go inside of
- 26:59Speaker 2: the tackle, can arm tackle because there's nobody. Yeah, if
- 27:01Speaker 2: I didn't the ball your throat checking me in the HD, Yeah,
- 27:03Speaker 2: I'm pissed. Yeah mate, you should have. Yeah, he could
- 27:06Speaker 2: have dipped in the tackle, bounced it out. There was
- 27:08Speaker 2: nobody there. It had been him with an alley that
- 27:11Speaker 2: had nobody in there. So uh yeah, Look, it's gonna
- 27:16Speaker 2: be gonna be more of that. It's gonna be more
- 27:18Speaker 2: of watching some film and again.
- 27:21Speaker 5: If you want to continue your punishment, yeah, like and
- 27:24Speaker 5: stick with us.
- 27:25Speaker 3: Yeah, it's funny, like, uh I got help on Twitter, Like,
- 27:29Speaker 3: oh I gotta you gotta be like T Bobb and Booger,
- 27:32Speaker 3: you gotta call him out. It's like, well, we're.
- 27:35Speaker 2: Gonna show you why they're getting called out. I'll show
- 27:38Speaker 2: you kind of facts and examples of why they're getting
- 27:42Speaker 2: called out, not just you know, saying it, because like
- 27:45Speaker 2: we have that ability, like this is our platform and
- 27:48Speaker 2: today that's what we're gonna use it for. We're gonna
- 27:50Speaker 2: use it to show you some facts of the game
- 27:53Speaker 2: and how it played out and the reason that you
- 27:56Speaker 2: got to thirty one twenty four and you lost to
- 27:59Speaker 2: the Vanderbilt Comedy or so we'll continue doing that. Probably
- 28:02Speaker 2: a bulk of the show I would say eighty five
- 28:05Speaker 2: percent of the show is going to be that today.
- 28:07Speaker 2: So if you want to see what's going wrong and
- 28:10Speaker 2: see maybe how you can fix it. If you can
- 28:12Speaker 2: fix it, that's an if that, if you can fix
- 28:14Speaker 2: the situation, we'll have that for you all show long.
- 28:17Speaker 3: We'll be back more. OTB off the bench, all.
- 28:21Speaker 2: Right, go to pelicanroof dot com. Pelicanroof dot com is

- 29:48Speaker 1: Rouge's go to for all things Louisiana sports.
- 30:05Speaker 2: I know the music's gonna be sad today. It was
- 30:12Speaker 2: kind of my jams, but yeah, it's a vibe here
- 30:15Speaker 2: on O TV as we continue to break it down
- 30:19Speaker 2: Vanderbilt l.
- 30:19Speaker 4: S U.
- 30:21Speaker 2: One of the things we talked about as physicality, and
- 30:24Speaker 2: there's some plays that certainly stood out and they they've
- 30:27Speaker 2: got to get fixed, and I hope you can fix them.
- 30:30Speaker 2: The desiro is to fix them because again, like Matt said,
- 30:34Speaker 2: like these these aren't these aren't coaching points. You didn't
- 30:36Speaker 2: coach UH for this, Like at least you don't hope
- 30:40Speaker 2: that they got coached UH for this. There's a handful
- 30:44Speaker 2: of plays here and tity, you can go ahead and
- 30:46Speaker 2: and just pull them up that the physicality absolutely shows.
- 30:52Speaker 2: Watch Vanderbilt's left guard one two. You're gonna run that back.
- 30:55Speaker 2: Watch Vanderbilts left guard one two. It's not a good
- 31:02Speaker 2: look and.
- 31:03Speaker 4: We're not okay, Like, let's in.
- 31:07Speaker 5: L s U guys defense there that was a pretty
- 31:10Speaker 5: remarkable play that left guard.
- 31:12Speaker 4: No, neither one of those guys he hit was his guy.
- 31:15Speaker 3: That's that's my entire point of showing it.
- 31:18Speaker 4: Okay, find work.
- 31:20Speaker 2: Everybody's everybody's gotten big boy like that on a football field.
- 31:23Speaker 3: I know I have before. But it's showing you the
- 31:26Speaker 3: aggression of the guard.
- 31:27Speaker 2: It isn't what happened to the even the defensive players,
- 31:29Speaker 2: because look, they're rushing somebody else. That's finding work, right,
- 31:34Speaker 2: it's finding work. So it's not like, oh my god,
- 31:37Speaker 2: how can that happen? Those defensive players weren't looking at him.
- 31:39Speaker 2: That's not even the point. The point is the guard.
- 31:41Speaker 2: That's why I said left guard for Vanderbilt because pull up.
- 31:45Speaker 4: That's a mindset and it's a coaching point.
- 31:47Speaker 2: To your left tackle gets put on his back. Let's
- 31:51Speaker 2: kind of show you, like the different example of some
- 31:54Speaker 2: of the physicality stuff that we're talking about. And another
- 32:00Speaker 2: portion of this is like your backup center, who's also
- 32:03Speaker 2: the third guard, is a first in at left tackle.
- 32:06Speaker 2: Watch a left tackle here for LSU, right, So what
- 32:12Speaker 2: is your quarterback supposed to do?
- 32:13Speaker 3: In this one? Your left tackle almost sacks your quarterback. Right.
- 32:19Speaker 2: Those are some of the things we're talking about, like
- 32:22Speaker 2: there's losing and then there's that, hey, right tackle is
- 32:30Speaker 2: getting walked back to yep.
- 32:33Speaker 3: Let's go. Let's go to the other let'smight as well.
- 32:34Speaker 2: So it's just into the chamber here, all right. So
- 32:40Speaker 2: now we've got I believe this one's a running play.
- 32:42Speaker 2: If I'm not mistaken, the one that we sent you,
- 32:44Speaker 2: it's it's loading our internet. Imagine that the media company
- 32:48Speaker 2: is going slow. I mean, we could show multiple, honestly,
- 32:54Speaker 2: of plays like that. Here's all right, here's a running play.
- 32:57Speaker 2: Watch right here, go back. Watch there's a couple of
- 33:02Speaker 2: things actually in this one. Watch your tight end on
- 33:04Speaker 2: the right side of the screen. He ends up almost
- 33:08Speaker 2: taking out your right tackle. Go back one more time,
- 33:12Speaker 2: all right, Watch the combo block between your left guard
- 33:14Speaker 2: and left tackle. Your left guard ends up on the ground.
- 33:18Speaker 2: Free guy come and hit your running back tight end
- 33:23Speaker 2: on the back. So as a running back, he's actually
- 33:30Speaker 2: pressing where he needs to press it. And then when
- 33:32Speaker 2: he sees the free guy, because your left guard ends
- 33:35Speaker 2: up on the ground, he's thinking, okay, well I at
- 33:37Speaker 2: least have backside, because I have two tight ends cutting
- 33:40Speaker 2: off the back side. The problem is the tight end
- 33:44Speaker 2: on the line of scrimmage, the why ends up about
- 33:47Speaker 2: four yards on the ground from where he started.
- 33:52Speaker 5: And that on the tight end that wasn't it got
- 33:54Speaker 5: his guy he was blocking, that knocked him down. That
- 33:57Speaker 5: got it was another example of their players finding work
- 34:02Speaker 5: making the other team's job difficult. Understanding that tight end
- 34:06Speaker 5: is working up to the linebacker. Well, I'm not going
- 34:07Speaker 5: to let him work up to the linebacker. I'm gonna
- 34:09Speaker 5: shove him. He's not looking at me. You just have
- 34:12Speaker 5: to be alert for those things. And that's that's that
- 34:14Speaker 5: comes with experience, and that comes with a mindset.
- 34:17Speaker 2: And again, yeah, I mean that's a great point by Matt.
- 34:19Speaker 2: So that tight end is going up to the next level.
- 34:21Speaker 2: But you can't be passive in the fire zone right there.
- 34:25Speaker 2: You have to know when that player reads zone because
- 34:29Speaker 2: he sees trade as Green probably coming across to cut
- 34:32Speaker 2: him off. He's gonna put his hands on you. And
- 34:34Speaker 2: so you got to be firm with your outside shoulder
- 34:37Speaker 2: as you work, like you.
- 34:38Speaker 4: You had a lean.
- 34:39Speaker 5: He didn't lose a one on one battle here like that.
- 34:41Speaker 5: That's not like that. That would that's not the point
- 34:44Speaker 5: of showing this. Cliff it's like that he's working up,
- 34:46Speaker 5: he's going up to the second level. He is no alert,
- 34:49Speaker 5: he's not alert. He's not aware of the guy coming down.
- 34:51Speaker 5: It's the point of Vanderbilt was not passive in anything
- 34:54Speaker 5: they did.
- 34:54Speaker 4: No, they took the fight.
- 34:55Speaker 3: This is that's not his guy. His guy's trade as
- 34:57Speaker 3: Green coming across yep.
- 34:59Speaker 2: But he's going to redirect Bower Sharp and so what
- 35:04Speaker 2: what happens there when he redirects him? Then he still
- 35:07Speaker 2: plays his play against trade as Green? And who's free
- 35:10Speaker 2: the guy that Bower Sharp was going for because their
- 35:13Speaker 2: player did more than the call said. He did more
- 35:16Speaker 2: than the playbook line that they draw in there said
- 35:19Speaker 2: he had to do.
- 35:20Speaker 5: And as a left guard, never lunch, never lunch man,
- 35:25Speaker 5: never lunch, because they loop the lunch, you're dead.
- 35:29Speaker 3: And we talked about that like on the broadcast.
- 35:32Speaker 5: And that's not getting better, that's the thing. Yeah, it's
- 35:35Speaker 5: it's not improving weekend week out, stop luncheon. I can't
- 35:39Speaker 5: put that all in the kid. You gotta work that,
- 35:43Speaker 5: you gotta practice that, you got to improve that. You
- 35:47Speaker 5: have to you have to take it because because I
- 35:50Speaker 5: see it every week. You gotta go back on a Monday,
- 35:53Speaker 5: and what do you do? What's the what's the thing
- 35:55Speaker 5: everybody goes out and does corrections, corrections on a Monday.
- 35:59Speaker 5: What did we do wrong here? And it's not just
- 36:01Speaker 5: like we it was a missed assignment. You work creations
- 36:04Speaker 5: on technique things. Yeah, if we.
- 36:06Speaker 4: Lunch, stop lunching, stop plunging. They're looping. They're looping. Yeah,
- 36:10Speaker 4: stay upright, an it's good a handoff, nailed it, perfect pocket.
- 36:23Speaker 2: A lot of the chats talking about like was there
- 36:25Speaker 2: anybody like there are no dogs?
- 36:26Speaker 3: There's some O.
- 36:27Speaker 4: Yeah, I like where these are?
- 36:29Speaker 2: Ye? These are the clips that obviously we're picking out
- 36:32Speaker 2: to show a couple of things like what Vanderbilt did
- 36:35Speaker 2: that again the little playbook where you draw lines, that's
- 36:38Speaker 2: not what it's that's not what they had to do
- 36:40Speaker 2: in that play. But they went above and beyond because
- 36:43Speaker 2: they had the football IQ to go make those plays
- 36:47Speaker 2: and help out when like that left guard is looking
- 36:50Speaker 2: for help, that's what his job is. You got income,
- 36:52Speaker 2: they're rushing this amount, look for help. Well he helped
- 36:55Speaker 2: that edge defender. It's not his guy.
- 36:58Speaker 5: And like there's no clips that stuff out on offense
- 37:01Speaker 5: for us. That was like like that like that's a
- 37:04Speaker 5: dog player right there. I means Avi on Thomas his touchdown. Yes,
- 37:07Speaker 5: that that like there's they're a dog I mean for sure.
- 37:09Speaker 5: And we just we were talking about it the break
- 37:11Speaker 5: like Halsey dog. Yeah, like thank god, Like our back
- 37:16Speaker 5: end for a defense played a really really good game.
- 37:19Speaker 5: He Halsey's shot out of a cannon. Ye, like when
- 37:22Speaker 5: he when he decides to go, he goes and he
- 37:24Speaker 5: flies and he's not afraid to put his his head
- 37:27Speaker 5: in there, his chest in there, show whatever body part is.
- 37:29Speaker 4: He's not afraide to throw it in there. Marcus plays
- 37:32Speaker 4: played hard.
- 37:34Speaker 5: Mansor Delaine for the most part played great and he
- 37:37Speaker 5: got he let Pave get out on the scramble a
- 37:40Speaker 5: little bit when he when he when he blitzed one time.
- 37:41Speaker 5: But like on that back end, what there's there's there's
- 37:44Speaker 5: some plays out there that were like man, that's I mean,
- 37:46Speaker 5: it's still really I mean, our defense is still really good.
- 37:49Speaker 4: Made some mistakes.
- 37:51Speaker 3: Actually couldn't get him off the field on third day, Like.
- 37:53Speaker 5: Look, I mean you you you ran into a buzz
- 37:55Speaker 5: saw with the Diego Pavia.
- 37:58Speaker 4: It's a well called game.
- 38:00Speaker 2: Let me ask you if you if you noticed it
- 38:02Speaker 2: on tape because this is something I noticed live doing
- 38:04Speaker 2: the broadcast whenever diego, you know, and you knew he
- 38:10Speaker 2: was getting the ball. It was like a third down
- 38:12Speaker 2: or a fourth down whatever. Did it feel like to
- 38:14Speaker 2: you watching the tape that there was defenders that were
- 38:17Speaker 2: trying to do too much with him, like that's not
- 38:21Speaker 2: their assignment. But when he would like pull the ball,
- 38:24Speaker 2: you'd have three defenders freeze when in reality only one
- 38:28Speaker 2: defender who had the quarterback should have been the one.
- 38:31Speaker 4: Ye like it felt like doing too much?
- 38:34Speaker 2: Yes, and I said that, I said that calling the
- 38:36Speaker 2: guy said it feels like guys are trying to do
- 38:39Speaker 2: too much and not.
- 38:39Speaker 5: Their job because he's had so much success with that
- 38:42Speaker 5: with that with a mobile type quarterback of being the guy.
- 38:46Speaker 4: But he's he has that success.
- 38:49Speaker 5: When when he's not playing coverage, like when he's roaming
- 38:55Speaker 5: around being a spy. But you you'll seem like he's
- 38:57Speaker 5: in a curl flat defender and it's moment he even
- 39:01Speaker 5: like Pavia even whispers with his body language that he's
- 39:05Speaker 5: scrambling Harrol Perks is leaving his coverage here you to
- 39:09Speaker 5: go to go chase. So yeah, there's a lot of
- 39:12Speaker 5: guys chasing, there's a lot of guys alert. And when
- 39:15Speaker 5: you have an offense that's running jet sweeps, fake jet sweeps,
- 39:18Speaker 5: counters like the window dressing, Like there's so much there's
- 39:24Speaker 5: so much eye candy out there that it makes it tough.
- 39:27Speaker 5: And you have so many people alert, and they're probably
- 39:30Speaker 5: being told like, hey, you cannot let Pavey get out.
- 39:32Speaker 5: You cannot let pave get out or get loose, and
- 39:35Speaker 5: so you have that in the back of your brain.
- 39:36Speaker 4: So yeah, they were doing a lot, but mane, you
- 39:38Speaker 4: just you got again.
- 39:40Speaker 5: You got to hats off to the game plan, the design,
- 39:43Speaker 5: the way that Fannerbilt can execute and take advantage of
- 39:46Speaker 5: their skill set and and Pavia having to be that dude.
- 39:50Speaker 5: But like the eye candy that they gave, eye candy
- 39:54Speaker 5: that the defense has to watch so much motion and
- 39:57Speaker 5: are they gonna hand it are they not?
- 39:59Speaker 4: Are they gonna fake the jets sweep and hand to
- 40:00Speaker 4: a running back?
- 40:01Speaker 5: They got to fake jet sweep and zone rate it,
- 40:03Speaker 5: fake jets sweep and then run an option route or
- 40:06Speaker 5: option play. Yeah, to the short side of the field.
- 40:09Speaker 5: There's just a lot to look at. So it's a
- 40:10Speaker 5: tall task. It's tough, and they didn't. They just they
- 40:16Speaker 5: got beat right at the end of the day, though,
- 40:18Speaker 5: you get two stops with a game on the line,
- 40:21Speaker 5: still within striking distance and the offense can't.
- 40:23Speaker 4: Move the ball.
- 40:25Speaker 2: Anybody want to guess before you take this break, anybody
- 40:28Speaker 2: want to guess once LSU got the ball back the
- 40:30Speaker 2: two times Lshu's defense gave it back to them with
- 40:33Speaker 2: a chance to go tie the game. Anybody want to
- 40:37Speaker 2: guess the total yards that Lshu's offense got the two
- 40:41Speaker 2: possessions LSU defense made them punt.
- 40:43Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, twelve, Alandre.
- 40:46Speaker 6: That sounds like I'm just going to Taylor.
- 40:48Speaker 4: Sounds super confidence right hand?
- 40:49Speaker 3: Yeah, negative ten?
- 40:53Speaker 8: My bad, guys, it's way too confident.
- 40:55Speaker 4: Well, it was terrible, Taylor.
- 40:59Speaker 2: Your defense, who's been trying to get off the field,
- 41:03Speaker 2: gets off the field twice and you go for negative
- 41:07Speaker 2: ten yards in two.
- 41:10Speaker 4: Series, little tragic Cotton. See how it plays out?
- 41:17Speaker 2: Yeah, because you had some penalties and so like, Look
- 41:21Speaker 2: that that counts. It's just part of it. Part of
- 41:23Speaker 2: the count party. Tell the yards there in those drives?
- 41:26Speaker 7: So on that note, Yes, were they both three and
- 41:31Speaker 7: outs both times that that happened?
- 41:32Speaker 2: Yeah, one of them, uh, the one Weston Davis got
- 41:36Speaker 2: the holding call on. I don't even know how he
- 41:40Speaker 2: ended up in the position that he did. And he
- 41:42Speaker 2: held the back of the jersey like he saw the
- 41:46Speaker 2: entire nameplate on it.
- 41:48Speaker 3: All right, boy, more OTB.
- 41:54Speaker 4: When we come back off the bench.

- 42:44Speaker 5: weather is it changing? You never know when a rogue
- 42:47Speaker 5: snowstorm will hit Baton Rouge like it did last year
- 42:49Speaker 5: and that power goes out.
- 42:50Speaker 4: So get that piece of mind and know. Yeah.
- 42:51Speaker 5: Bujo's Electrical one of only ten dealers in the world
- 42:54Speaker 5: too chosen to launch their all next generation Generac generators.

- 43:10Speaker 4: Q walks say sit down, it's just talk.
- 43:15Speaker 1: Smiles blaightly back at you. Locked in on LSU football
- 43:21Speaker 1: twenty four to seven, you're listening to off the bench.
- 43:26Speaker 2: One question I've really been waiting to ask, Matt Hey,
- 43:29Speaker 2: it's me all day, oh, yesterday, hell all Saturday as well.
- 43:36Speaker 2: The play where we thow across the field to a
- 43:41Speaker 2: five yard hit.
- 43:42Speaker 4: Yep.
- 43:42Speaker 3: Explain that one to me.
- 43:44Speaker 4: I can't explain that one to you, Jake.
- 43:47Speaker 3: Because it's not once, it's not twice. Yep, it's been
- 43:50Speaker 3: all year.
- 43:51Speaker 5: There's a there is one defining play, if like from
- 43:55Speaker 5: a traditional like drop back play, that this offense this
- 43:58Speaker 5: year tends to all back into.
- 44:01Speaker 4: It's a three by one set.
- 44:02Speaker 5: It's a hitch on the outside, it's an inside fade
- 44:05Speaker 5: to number two, and it's like a stick route to
- 44:07Speaker 5: number three, which against like in zone, so five or
- 44:10Speaker 5: six yards up in zone, he's gonna break out, but
- 44:13Speaker 5: he'll like sit in a hole. Against man, it turns
- 44:15Speaker 5: into like a traditional five six yard out route. And
- 44:19Speaker 5: that is the play that we just fall into, fall into,
- 44:22Speaker 5: fall into, because I think the mindset is that, all right,
- 44:27Speaker 5: we're going to we got answers man to man. We
- 44:29Speaker 5: have our fade zone, we have our hitch rout and
- 44:33Speaker 5: our stick route, and there's you know, seemingly answers there.
- 44:36Speaker 4: And I'm not saying it's not a good play, because
- 44:38Speaker 4: it is. It is good play.
- 44:38Speaker 5: I don't think it's the play to use as your
- 44:42Speaker 5: crutch though, and call it a billion times a game.
- 44:46Speaker 5: And so that's what happens. You get quarters like that
- 44:49Speaker 5: and they d up the stick route, the slot fadees busted,
- 44:53Speaker 5: so you have to throw a hitch rout to the
- 44:55Speaker 5: wide side of the field.
- 44:57Speaker 4: I think there was one play yesterday such.
- 45:00Speaker 5: A hard throw for the juice isn't worth the squeeze, Yeah,
- 45:03Speaker 5: it's not like nuts is really like zinging it this year, right,
- 45:10Speaker 5: And I'll give you my like I'll give you a
- 45:13Speaker 5: little bit more of an hour two, A little bit
- 45:15Speaker 5: like from the passing game, from the dropback sam, A
- 45:17Speaker 5: lot of the issues that occurred. How much time we have?
- 45:20Speaker 5: Not very much, not very much. Sorry, because I was
- 45:22Speaker 5: in this last couple of minutes. I was going to
- 45:24Speaker 5: show you a really good clip, a dog clip from
- 45:26Speaker 5: L s U. But we'll show you that on the
- 45:27Speaker 5: back end or next hour.
- 45:30Speaker 4: No, it was on offense.
- 45:30Speaker 5: It was I got Harlem Berry knocking the defensive tackle
- 45:37Speaker 5: on his rear end.
- 45:38Speaker 3: Yeah, twenty two deserves some more.
- 45:41Speaker 5: Look, yeah, we're gonna we're gonna give him some flowers today.
- 45:43Speaker 5: Harlem Berry played your tail off, played your tail the
- 45:47Speaker 5: only off.
- 45:48Speaker 3: Of the player.
- 45:48Speaker 4: Will show you here.
- 45:50Speaker 3: All right, we'll be back hour number two. O TB
