- 0:00Hi everybody and welcome back to the show.
- 0:03This just in breaking news, Twitter shareholders voted to
- 0:08approve Elon musk's forty four billion dollar bid to buy the
- 0:14company and take it private. So this vote comes is musk seeks
- 0:19to get rid of the deal. He wants to get rid of the
- 0:21Twitter deal and it cast doubt right now on Twitter
- 0:24self-reported percentage of bod accounts and alleging that the
- 0:28company was not As forthcoming in their offerings as it should
- 0:33have been to calculate how much money Elon was going to buy
- 0:38Twitter for now, Twitter says that they only have about five
- 0:43percent of monetizable daily, active users that are spam or
- 0:48fake and also said that provided musk with plenty of information
- 0:53required to show that this is actually true.
- 0:57But Elon is always pushing back against them and saying, hey,
- 0:59this Doesn't seem to be like the case.
- 1:01You know, if you've seen Elon musk's tweets you know, that
- 1:05basically every first person quote person that comments
- 1:12underneath his post, it's about and they're trying to scam you
- 1:16out of Bitcoin. So as you can tell from him
- 1:19alone he's a very small subset of Twitter but he's also a very
- 1:23powerful user. So Twitter sued musk for
- 1:27allegedly breaching the agreement and the cases is going
- 1:30through the Delaware Court of Chancery with a trial, which
- 1:34will begin in October. So Elon says, hey you don't have
- 1:39enough users here. You have a lot of bots, a lot of
- 1:42fake users and you lied to me. I'm not going to pay that much
- 1:45money for this, but the judge for this case, recently allowed
- 1:51musk to revise his counterclaim against Twitter to include
- 1:55allegations made by a former Twitter security chief, Who
- 2:00filed a whistle-blower Camp complaint, which claims security
- 2:05filings by the company were wrong.
- 2:09Peter's, APCO is the name of this whistleblower and they've
- 2:13testified before a senate panel earlier on Tuesday.
- 2:17So the Twitter shareholders are all in for musk but Twitter is
- 2:23still suing musk. So must can buy Twitter and musk
- 2:28doesn't want to buy Twitter because there's not enough
- 2:32people on Twitter to buy. That's worth the money.
- 2:35So it's a very convoluted Situation, but it looks like the
- 2:40shareholders and everybody that's involved in Twitter,
- 2:42other than Twitter, the company, you know, actually Twitter.
- 2:47The company is cool with it, but I'm sorry.
- 2:49Elon Musk is not cool with it. So I misspoke there Ilan wants
- 2:54to know if there's a lot of bots will find out in court in
- 2:58October. The v/line Elan can turn around
- 3:01right now and say, you know what, the sounds like a good
- 3:04idea. I take it all back.
- 3:07And let's buy Twitter. Let's get this over with forty
- 3:09four billion dollars. I don't know, it seems like a
- 3:13very complex situation but we'll see what happens in the future
- 3:18and here's another thing that's going on with the Elan.
- 3:21He said that he's going to get Tesla's self-driving technology
- 3:26ready by year-end in hopes and could be released In a wide
- 3:32variety in the United States and possibly in Europe, depending on
- 3:36regulatory approval. So Elon Musk spoke at an energy
- 3:40conference in Norway and he said that his intention was currently
- 3:43focused on Starship at that point and self-driving, Tesla
- 3:47cars. So, Starship, is it a point
- 3:50where they're testing the booster and the ship?
- 3:53Almost every day? There are spinning up the
- 3:56engines that are static firing. There is a static fire actually
- 4:00two days ago. And the static fire of ship 24
- 4:03caused a fire for tens of Acres 50 or 60 Acres.
- 4:08I think it was 68 Acres of the protected Wetlands around star.
- 4:13Base in Texas, there were on fire and according to the Peña,
- 4:20which was issued by the FAA. And they work together with
- 4:23SpaceX SpaceX kind of told the FAA.
- 4:26Hey, we know these things are going to happen.
- 4:28We're going to try to mitigate these circumstances.
- 4:31So what happened was large fire, fire departments were brought
- 4:35down to spacex's Starbase and everything was under control and
- 4:38about five hours, but it was a pretty decent sized Blaze.
- 4:42And when they got through with all the mitigation processes
- 4:46that night, it seemed like there was very little Damage Done to
- 4:51the the critters that are nearby, the crabs, the frogs,
- 4:54Etc. They've only, they only found a
- 4:57few crabs that were dead, and they found a few frogs, I
- 4:59believe. But there.
- 5:01Also pieces of the launch pad or I'm sorry.
- 5:05The test pad. The concrete was blown about 300
- 5:08feet away from the pad, has a hardened concrete.
- 5:12So, the blast from the six Raptor engines three, vacuum
- 5:17engines and three regular engines, they were too much for
- 5:22this concrete, in the concrete, blew out like 300 feet.
- 5:24One of the piece of concrete landed in a dumpster caused, a
- 5:27dumpster fire a literal dumpster fire and it was kind of crazy.
- 5:31See, so that's being done down at Starbase Elon Musk said by
- 5:35the end of this year, let's get full self-driving to happen, so
- 5:39he's working on Tesla. He says, the tech to technology.
- 5:43I'm focused on trying to ideally get done before the end of the
- 5:46year are getting our Starship into orbit and then having Tesla
- 5:49cars to be able to do self driving and he says have
- 5:54self-driving in wide release, at least in the US and potentially
- 5:57in Europe depending on regulatory approval.
- 6:01Now, do we still need gas and, and oil at this point?
- 6:07We sure do. You know, the whole system is
- 6:10built on these two Technologies oil and gas.
- 6:13We must continue to extract oil and gas in order to sustain
- 6:17civilization, civilization. That's what musk said.
- 6:20Let's let's listen to this. He says, realistically, I think
- 6:23we need to use oil and gas in the short term because otherwise
- 6:27civilization will crumble, you must told the reporters And ask.
- 6:33So they also asked if Norway should continue to drill for oil
- 6:35and gas musk said, I think some additional exploration is
- 6:39warranted at this time. So possibly more oil and gas,
- 6:43Elon Elon knows the real situation here.
- 6:46You know, you can't just sit back and expect your 4% of the
- 6:51Auto industry, which is Tesla. It's around 4 percent, 45
- 6:54percent, to kind of take over everything.
- 6:58It doesn't happen that fast. Unfortunately any One knows
- 7:01this, you know, is that, you know, we can't get off gasps.
- 7:03We can't get off oil. These are the things that make
- 7:05daily life happen at coal to, we have coal power plants.
- 7:09And some of these power plants, actually power the stations and
- 7:15the, the houses that have supercharges of them.
- 7:20So, if you have a charger in your house, your house might be
- 7:23connected to the grid. And the grid might be powered by
- 7:25Kohler gas. So he understands that that's a
- 7:28thing that needs to be happening.
- 7:32Elon says, one of the biggest challenges the world has ever
- 7:34faced as the transition to sustainable energy and a
- 7:37sustainable economy, that will take some decades to complete.
- 7:41So he knows it's going to take some time, you can't just stop
- 7:45everything. If you stopped everything, it
- 7:47would be absolute turmoil. And he said about offshore wind
- 7:52power generation of the North Sea.
- 7:55He says that it's good and he said stationary battery packs,
- 7:59he said it could Provide a strong sustainable energy source
- 8:03in the winter. So if you think about it, wind
- 8:06power that powers the grid while there's wind.
- 8:11And then there's battery packs for the backups.
- 8:13That seems like a pretty good win-win situation for any sort
- 8:17of economy. Any anywhere where people live
- 8:22wind is very, very clean. You may have to worry about
- 8:26birds and other other animals. But at that point, you're not
- 8:31polluting the air, but then you store things in the battery
- 8:36packs. Those battery packs last for a
- 8:38long time. So replace the battery pack
- 8:41every once in a while. You still have those wind
- 8:43turbines in the North Sea and he says it could provide a strong
- 8:49sustainable energy source in the winter.
- 8:52So I'm going to play that whole interview for Right after this

- 12:42Which tell me tell me, how do you think about trust?
- 12:47Well I think there's that that's what that that's really quite a
- 12:51philosophical question. It is and one could wax on at
- 12:54length about that, I guess. You know.
- 13:03It's over Twitter. I was told that the one topic
- 13:07I'm not talk about so I'm going to avoid it.
- 13:10Well, if they both start with its he I suppose what I mean.
- 13:13Do you think that with respect to information generally?
- 13:17People want to know the information that they're
- 13:20receiving is accurate? That it is a representative of
- 13:27the full picture and they want to be able to believe what they
- 13:32read. And not feel that it's overly
- 13:34biased or at least understand the nature of the bias.
- 13:38So I think one of the key things to trust is transparency and
- 13:44people to really know you know if there's like a social media
- 13:49company or something to understand what the algorithm
- 13:51is. So to open source the algorithms
- 13:53of people can look at it and critique it and it's not a black
- 13:55box and then if there are any modifications done by people at
- 14:00that social media company that they're clear.
- 14:02Again, transparent. And so it's not hidden and And I
- 14:09believe, you know, I believe in the the sort of free flow of
- 14:11ideas and and just generally erring on the side of free
- 14:17speech within the boundaries of the law.
- 14:20The boundaries of the law is great place to start, is to
- 14:25thank you. Can't go sort of beyond that
- 14:27without being arrested. I think.
- 14:30Let's move on shall we? You've been a great disruptor of
- 14:35Technology technological models in energy and space where is the
- 14:40unexplored area for disruption? Well, you know if I have the
- 14:47word disruption and I don't aim to disrupt for the sake of
- 14:52disrupting, you know it's more like there's thinking about what
- 14:59sort of actions what set of actions are most likely to lead
- 15:01to a better future. And so You know, in order for
- 15:08one of the things obviously in order to for Humanity to have a
- 15:11compelling future of our civilization is that we must
- 15:14have a clear path to a sustainable energy future.
- 15:17That's one of the things that I think everyone I think would
- 15:20agree with now. I actually am not someone who
- 15:25would tend to sort of demon, I, as oil and gas to be clear.
- 15:29This is necessary right now, horses for civilization could
- 15:32not function. So I do think we actually need.
- 15:35And actually, at this time, I think we actually need Need more
- 15:38oil and gas, not less, but but simultaneously moving as fast as
- 15:44we can. To assist a noble energy
- 15:47economy, I thought there was the Prime Minister were just
- 15:51spot-on, you know? It's and I'm glad to hear that.
- 15:55There's a large effort for ocean wind is that that's that that's
- 16:01a massive untapped potential. I would say go even more.
- 16:07What the Prime Minister said, frankly, it's like, that's a,
- 16:10you know, I mean, if you did 100 by 100 array of 10 megawatt
- 16:16systems, you have 100 gigawatts capability.
- 16:20So and then you do need to combine that with stationary
- 16:25storage battery packs to buffer the energy.
- 16:27Because sometimes the wind blows and sometimes it doesn't blow.
- 16:32What is it? Blows hard.
- 16:33And so so you need you need to buffer it with with battery
- 16:36packs. Stationary battery packs and
- 16:39Tesla and other companies are also making that so that the
- 16:41sort of the three pillars of a sustainable energy future our
- 16:45sustainable energy generation which is hydro geothermal wind
- 16:50solar. I'm also pro-nuclear.
- 16:53I've been I think it's we should really keep going with the
- 16:56nuclear plants. I know this may be an unpopular
- 16:58view in some quarters, but I think if you have a well
- 17:02designed to nuclear power plant, you should not shut it down.
- 17:06It's especially Right now. So but I try to say what I think
- 17:13is, you know, scientifically cogent, even if it is not
- 17:16popular so and it is so it was of the pillars of sustainable
- 17:23energy generation but then must also store the energy because
- 17:27many of the the two main sources of of sustainable energy, wind
- 17:32and solar are intimate and wind doesn't always blow the sun.
- 17:34Doesn't always shine. So you must buy for the He and
- 17:37in stationary battery packs and then the third element obviously
- 17:41is electric vehicles. So electric cars, trucks
- 17:45aircraft boats with the ironic exception of rockets with but I
- 17:52but we do have a plan for sustainably producing the rocket
- 17:56propellant which is actually almost 80% of liquid oxygen.
- 18:01So liquid oxygen you can get from Asia from the atmosphere
- 18:05and then Our we're going with methane fuel, which is 20% of
- 18:12the propellant but that you can make also sustainably long-term
- 18:17from CO2 and water H2O, which produces CH4 and O2.
- 18:23So that's the sort of sustainable long-term path for
- 18:25Rocket, propellant, generation, and that's how it would have to
- 18:28be done on Mars, for example, so not electrifying quite yet.
- 18:35We are it would you actually have sustainable power
- 18:37generation for some of our propellant generation already?
- 18:40But it's it's a small percentage now that will be a big
- 18:43percentage in the future. So what do you, you know, you've
- 18:47got That's a the energy industry here, but that's probably an
- 18:52exaggeration. You've got a pretty pretty
- 18:54significant. Set of the energy industry here.
- 19:01If you were to look ahead, 5 10, 15 years.
- 19:06What is the disruption going to look like in the energy
- 19:10industry? Well, I think we'll see
- 19:14tremendous change over the next 5, 10 and 15 years.
- 19:21I say like your celebrate by 2030.
- 19:25I would say probably half of all new cars made will be electric
- 19:282030 half of all new cars. My guess.
- 19:31Yeah. By 2035, it might be 80 percent
- 19:36or something like that. I think it could be even higher
- 19:40than those numbers but the the car industry is moving rapidly
- 19:45towards electric and you know what?
- 19:49One country after another and one state after another is all
- 19:52making zero emission mandates. California recently passed a
- 19:58zero-emission mandate for new cars, sold in California.
- 20:02I think 2035 can only be zero emission.
- 20:06So UK is As well. Yeah, exactly.
- 20:09So it's clearly the people of the Earth.
- 20:12Yeah. You'll both have decided.
- 20:14This is the way to go and so I think this is so we'll see quite
- 20:19a tremendous change in that regard and if you look at the
- 20:23streets on or where you actually see an advanced version of that
- 20:25because Noah has it from the highest, we've gone to majority
- 20:31electric vehicles of new cars, sold out, which is, which is
- 20:36great again. Thank you.
- 20:40So yeah, so it's pretty cool. So if I pick up on that idea.
- 20:45So the future the biggest change.
- 20:47You see if the energy industry is electrification?
- 20:49Electric car vehicles. Light transport, maybe heavy
- 20:53transport. What does that mean about Supply
- 20:56chains? So if you kind of all that
- 20:58backwards, what is the supply chain?
- 21:00Give me. What are you worried about?
- 21:02If we're going to meet that Rice?
- 21:05Yeah. So the interesting thing is that
- 21:07said like what? Is the what are the limiting
- 21:10factors governing the rate at which the world can transition
- 21:13to sustainable energy and I think it's the rate at which one
- 21:17can grow battery production, okay, so then if you say what
- 21:22are the constituents in the battery in that they mined
- 21:25batteries, it's evolves, get lithium, you've got a cathode
- 21:31which is the the main cathode materials are going to be a
- 21:34metal. And that's nickel manganese and
- 21:38iron. And on the anode side, it's
- 21:41primarily carbon graphite and sort of in the center
- 21:48sequester's sequestering, a little bit of carbon in the
- 21:50battery and and it with some silicon added for energy,
- 21:55density on the anode side, and then there's the electrolyte and
- 21:58whatnot. So it's and the main limitation
- 22:02is actually not that these metals are exceptionally rare.
- 22:06But that there's Tremendous amount of processing equipment
- 22:10to take the, or, and turn it into battery grade materials.
- 22:15Because the the battery grade entered in cathode have to be
- 22:18extremely pure in order for the battery to last for a long time.
- 22:23And so, it's sort of processing of those elements.
- 22:26And I'm sort of writing this sort of Master Plan part 3,
- 22:29which is what are the steps needed to scale, sustainable
- 22:35energy and it gained what are the limiting factors?
- 22:38How can we potentially accelerate these?
- 22:41So, hopefully finish that in a month or two.
- 22:45So do you want to give us a preview?
- 22:47What, you know, what are the what are the?
- 22:48You know, what are the gating functions?
- 22:49If you will that we need to get over.
- 22:52What are the what are the big steps?
- 22:55Well, the materials that I mentioned are really essential.
- 22:59It's generation, it's processing.
- 23:03Yes. There's actually there's not a
- 23:05raw material constraints. So, there's actually a
- 23:07tremendous amount of lithium lithium is almost everywhere.
- 23:12It's one of the most common elements on Earth, so as iron
- 23:15and so is carbon and that on the iron use usually combined
- 23:19phosphorus its iron phosphate, so that'll probably be the
- 23:25biggest chemistry that's used. So it's not so much the raw
- 23:29materials as it is converting raw materials into the highly
- 23:32purified form that can be used in batteries as so, that's a
- 23:36tremendous amount of of processing needs to happen for
- 23:39that. Out of that, really at the sort
- 23:44of scale that is currently, you know, comparable to the world
- 23:49oil and gas industry. So it's a the scale is just
- 23:51tremendous. So this is all happening and
- 23:53it's happening fast. It's just a question of how can
- 23:56we what we do to potentially accelerate that and making go
- 23:58even faster? This is all happening.
- 24:01It's just a question of when and you're going to give us the
- 24:03answer to that, what can we do to accelerate it to make it
- 24:06happen even faster? If we're going to be 50% new
- 24:10electric vehicle, All sold in. What eight years?
- 24:14You said. I think I think that's actually
- 24:17where we're trending. Okay.
- 24:19Even if we even if we just keep doing the things we're currently
- 24:22doing, okay. Yeah.
- 24:24So I thought it was pretty damn good.
- 24:25You don't see a limiting function at the moment.
- 24:27No, I don't see the many functions is really just how
- 24:31many years will it take us an audit actions?
- 24:33We can, what actions can we take to have it be faster and it's
- 24:38going to be increasing the rate at which we can convert the or
- 24:43into battery grade materials? That will set the rate at which
- 24:47we can weld electric vehicles and stationary battery packs to
- 24:51capture solar and wind. Okay.
- 24:55So it's this old, you know, basically what I'm saying is is
- 24:57this is a an optimistic and positive message.
- 25:01I'm not suggesting at all complacency but just saying that
- 25:05things are moving in a good direction and but obviously if
- 25:08we can make them go even faster, that's better.
- 25:12And a lot of this happens in China right at the moment today.
- 25:17So yes, yes, so you said last year that you thought trust and
- 25:24China would improve prove post covid.
- 25:27So do you think that's happened? Do you see China as an
- 25:32investment opportunity today? Well, Tesla is actually
- 25:37investing in production in China.
- 25:40So we have a large Factory in Shanghai and we are continuing
- 25:44to expand outward and invest in that factory.
- 25:47But we're also investing in Europe with our Factory just
- 25:50outside of Berlin and in the US with, on your factory just
- 25:54outside of Austin. So and we hope to announce a
- 25:58location for another gigafactory perhaps later this year, so
- 26:03we're going as fast as we can. And I've always said that the I
- 26:07would say, like when you look at Tesla, the fundamental good
- 26:10Tesla does, I think so measured by profit, but rather, by how
- 26:15many years will Tesla have accelerated, the transition to
- 26:18sustainable energy. This is how I think when you
- 26:21look at the success. Yes, I think we have accelerated
- 26:25it to some degree already. You know.
- 26:28I think it wasn't for Tesla. The car industry would have
- 26:31transitioned two v's much later. So, exponential curve or
- 26:37straight line. That is somewhat of it is an
- 26:39exponential curve. Yet, you know, you're making me
- 26:41use my chemistry, in my maths? Yeah, I haven't done anything.
- 26:44Yeah, I see you decades. Most people don't know what an
- 26:47exponential curve means, but it's a, I think most people in
- 26:51this room and this room. Yes, yes yes, yes.
- 26:54I thought so. But a logarithmic curve look.
- 26:59Now that's up to mr. Can you do it?
- 27:06No, I think I think the the things are improving
- 27:10exponentially with respect to sustainable energy, so but even
- 27:13go to make you go faster all the better.
- 27:15So how do we go from exponential to logarithmic?
- 27:18Well, I know I think it will look on you.
- 27:20Thought about this, I know you've thought about this.
- 27:22Logarithmic is actually fast in the beginning, but slow at the
- 27:26end. So I agree.
- 27:27We actually what will actually happen is is is a transition
- 27:31from is it'll follow as following an s-curve.
- 27:34So we have an Exponential increase, then linear.
- 27:36And then logarithmic and that's that's basically how any
- 27:39transition large industrial transition happens.
- 27:43I think I'm going to get off math now because I could get
- 27:46into trouble. What's your approach to risk?
- 27:53How would you talk about that? I'm back philosophy.
- 27:57I'm safer in philosophy. I think, because sort of like,
- 28:03you know, just arbitrarily secrecy, I think there's some
- 28:08things are risky. But if this, you know, if the
- 28:11stakes are important enough, then you take the risk, because,
- 28:21And today, the stakes are important enough.
- 28:24Yes. I mean the stakes are very
- 28:25extremely important. Very fundamental to the Future.
- 28:28Yes. Because you take, I'm guessing
- 28:33I'm just, you know, I don't know, everybody in this room,
- 28:35but my guess is that you take significantly more risk than
- 28:39possibly anybody in this room, but certainly more than 95% of
- 28:43the people in this room. What, what allows you to take
- 28:46those risks? Are you faster?
- 28:49You smarter, do you think differently?
- 28:52What do you do differently? That allows you to do something
- 28:55that most people here smart as they are, can't do. well, I
- 28:59think there's probably a lot of people in this room that do take
- 29:01a lot of risks, but we got a volunteer, but before you really
- 29:11like, no, I want to hear what Ilan has to say about how he
- 29:15takes risks. They were literally just try to
- 29:18use the scientific method frankly.
- 29:20And you know, consider the, you know, what is the importance of
- 29:26the outcome and what, what is one risking into in order to
- 29:32achieve that outcome? And would like said of the
- 29:35outcome is important enough? Even if the probability of
- 29:37success is low, when was I think still still do it in my view,
- 29:42you know, some things are very important and if to in Have a
- 29:47good future. And if we don't do them, well,
- 29:50they're in big trouble. And so, and then how much of a
- 29:54risk really, is it? Because if we don't take those
- 29:56actions, we won't have a good future.
- 29:58And I think the riskiest thing would be no action.
- 30:02So it's almost as though, it's really not a risk, it's not a
- 30:04choice at all. Not really.
- 30:07Okay? I think it's wonderful that you
- 30:10can change the world because you really can change the world.
- 30:13And you have, you have the Ability to do what in many
- 30:19cases? Not even governments can do.
- 30:21I mean, I as I was doing a little bit of research for this
- 30:24panel, one of the data points that I saw as you were able to
- 30:30turn on, if you will the internet and Ukraine in just
- 30:33four hours. What what kind of responsibility
- 30:39do you feel as a corporate leader you have when you have
- 30:43that kind of power? How do you think?
- 30:47Well, if it was but but longer than four days, but it was, it
- 30:52was a but also for four hours about four days, I think, but we
- 30:56did what we did, have some Guess that maybe there will be
- 31:02something happening in Ukraine and and so we did pre position
- 31:07some Stronach terminals there, just in case.
- 31:11So that was helpful for the initial part of the invasion and
- 31:18then we accelerated delivery of a lot of terminals within a few
- 31:22days of the invasion taking place and the Ukrainian
- 31:27government tells me, it's been very helpful.
- 31:30So no forethought is the answer, perhaps.
- 31:43I mean for Thornton and just moving quickly.
- 31:45Decisively. Yeah, so I do hope a piece on
- 31:50peace can be achieved in Ukraine and Russia which route you know
- 31:53if that's You know. Did I do something?
- 31:58Some short? Some thought to be should be
- 32:00given to you know, what's the end game there.
- 32:03And I think the end game will require some compromise on the
- 32:08part of both parties. You said that what you're
- 32:13solving at? Tesla is an AI problem, not a
- 32:17transportation problem and you talk about the next big
- 32:20disruption being AI. What can a I do to help combat
- 32:26climate change particularly in this period?
- 32:29The short-term period, as we're transitioning?
- 32:33What Tesla's go from Pro when we started it, as always been to
- 32:37accelerate sustainability. So, that is still our primary
- 32:41goal by far. We have a secondary goal, which
- 32:45is to solve, at least real world intelligence as it applies to
- 32:49self driving cars and And then potentially, you know, with with
- 32:57humanoid robots. But, you know, it And so, so
- 33:03Tessa is in part of AI company and increasingly in AI company,
- 33:08but it's still primarily a sustainable energy company.
- 33:12I think. A, I what I do, I don't think we
- 33:20need AI to solve sustainability, that that is that is happening.
- 33:24It might help us accelerate it. but I think we should also be
- 33:30cautious about Ai and just make sure that as we develop AI that
- 33:34it is You know, doesn't get out of control and and that that the
- 33:41AI helps make the future better for Humanity.
- 33:45And that's something I know you working quite a lot on.
- 33:47I think we should be more worried about AI safety than we
- 33:50currently are, especially in the future was, are really going to
- 33:55be. And we're seeing a taste of that
- 33:57within Ukraine. Very much Drone Wars.
- 34:01Know if your drawings are better than their drones, then you
- 34:05weren't basically, it's what will happen.
- 34:09That's has, has it always been? No that's going to be.
- 34:13It hasn't been that but will it was a final question.
- 34:17We just got a minute. What keeps you up at night and
- 34:20what are you doing about it? Or do you sleep soundly every
- 34:28night? Well, there's the, the two main
- 34:32technical. I'm going to fundamentally a
- 34:33technologist. It's like a kind of important or
- 34:35an engineer to. So, you know, sometimes people
- 34:38call me like a businessman, I guess I have to do business.
- 34:40You have to have a group of people, because I can just do
- 34:43this in a garage by myself, but I'm fundamentally, an engineer
- 34:46or technologist and so, the two, the two technologies I'm focused
- 34:52on trying to ideally, get done before the end of the year are
- 34:56getting our Starship to orbit. Which I think is important for
- 35:01expanding Consciousness beyond Earth and life beyond Earth.
- 35:08And and then having the Tesla cars be able to do self driving.
- 35:15So have self-driving in wide release at least in the US and
- 35:20and hopefully potentially in Europe depending on regulatory
