- 0:01Speaker 1: NOWR Presents the Mark Simon Show. Thank God it's Friday.
- 0:11Speaker 1: We got a lot to get to today. The Mom
- 0:13Speaker 1: Donnie Trump meeting is today, just hours away. We'll give
- 0:18Speaker 1: you all the details. Thanksgiving is less than a week away. Yeah,
- 0:23Speaker 1: one week from today. It'll be the day after Thanks
- 0:25Speaker 1: to me, it'll be that silly Black Friday a week
- 0:27Speaker 1: from today. So we'll get to that. We'll get to
- 0:30Speaker 1: President Trump and his latest controversy. We'll get to that
- 0:34Speaker 1: Ukraine peace plan. We'll get to Jeffrey Epstein and a
- 0:38Speaker 1: whole lot more. We'll get to the anti Semitic terrorism
- 0:43Speaker 1: that's taken place in New York City. I think that'll
- 0:45Speaker 1: be a topic of today's meeting. So anyway, here's the deal.
- 0:49Speaker 1: President Trump will meet Mom Donnie today in the White
- 0:52Speaker 1: House at three o'clock. Mom Donnie asked for the meeting.
- 0:59Speaker 1: It was Mom Donnani that requested it. Trump said, yes,
- 1:02Speaker 1: it will be closed to press. It's not going to
- 1:05Speaker 1: be like the Zelenski meeting, where they'll start with the
- 1:08Speaker 1: cameras there and you'll be watching it live and they'll
- 1:11Speaker 1: get into a fight. It's going to be closed press. Now,
- 1:14Speaker 1: why is that? Well, two reasons. One, you can really
- 1:21Speaker 1: elevate the gravitas of Mom Donni if there's pictures of
- 1:26Speaker 1: him sitting in the Oval Office, sitting on the couch
- 1:28Speaker 1: with the discussing things with the president. You know those couches.
- 1:32Speaker 1: There's two couches in the Oval Office. That's where world
- 1:34Speaker 1: leaders sit as they meet with the president. So to
- 1:38Speaker 1: see Momdanni in that seat would be give him a
- 1:43Speaker 1: lot more cachet. It would look it's impressive to be
- 1:46Speaker 1: sitting there in the Oval Office with the president. So
- 1:49Speaker 1: they're not going to let the press in. Now. If
- 1:52Speaker 1: things go really well, they're going to have to call
- 1:55Speaker 1: an audible on this. If it goes really well, at
- 1:57Speaker 1: the end, the president can invite the press in and
- 2:01Speaker 1: then take those pictures. If he wants to give that
- 2:04Speaker 1: gift to Mom Donnie, he can bring the press in afterwards. Now,
- 2:08Speaker 1: you can't do it the other way around. It's too difficult.
- 2:10Speaker 1: You can't have the press in there and try to
- 2:12Speaker 1: throw them out if it's not going the way you want.
- 2:14Speaker 1: So they'll start with no press and there's a possibility
- 2:18Speaker 1: at the end they might be called in. Now, what
- 2:21Speaker 1: happens with the press at the White House there's about
- 2:23Speaker 1: one hundred and fifty news organizations that do the coverage
- 2:28Speaker 1: in the White House. Well, you can't have them all
- 2:29Speaker 1: there at once, so they have what's called a pool,
- 2:33Speaker 1: which they pick five news organizations to come in, do
- 2:37Speaker 1: the video, do the audio, and then that's fed to
- 2:39Speaker 1: the other one hundred and fifty. So every day they
- 2:42Speaker 1: have a pool, they rotate it. They pick different news
- 2:44Speaker 1: organizations to be in the pool. One day it might
- 2:47Speaker 1: be ABC News, it might be The New York Times,
- 2:50Speaker 1: it might be The New York Post, it might be Newsmax,
- 2:54Speaker 1: it might be BBC. What they pick five every day,
- 3:00Speaker 1: it's a different five every day that are chosen for
- 3:01Speaker 1: the pool. Well, I'm looking at today's White House pool.
- 3:05Speaker 1: I think the President was stacking the deck against Mom Donnie.
- 3:09Speaker 1: The five names in the pool are all big Mom
- 3:12Speaker 1: Donnie probably hating organizations. It's Fox News, Newsmax, It's all
- 3:19Speaker 1: very conservative news organizations in the pool, so that I
- 3:24Speaker 1: would assume that was done deliberately. So if they do
- 3:27Speaker 1: call him in, Mom Donnie's going to get no sympathy
- 3:29Speaker 1: from anybody. So the other question is who will be
- 3:32Speaker 1: in the room now if Mam Donnie comes in there
- 3:37Speaker 1: and sits down, and on that other couch it's JD. Vance,
- 3:40Speaker 1: Stephen Miller, Tom Holman. He's not going to like that.
- 3:44Speaker 1: He's not going to like that. So we'll see if
- 3:47Speaker 1: the President invites other people in who he invites in there. Now,
- 3:51Speaker 1: remember with the Zelenski meeting, everybody always goes to that
- 3:54Speaker 1: as the standard. He had all those people over there
- 3:58Speaker 1: on the couch. And if you want to to have
- 4:01Speaker 1: Zelensky have a hard time, he just turn and say J. D. Vance.
- 4:04Speaker 1: What do you think Vance would go after his Olenski?
- 4:06Speaker 1: They could do their good cop, bad cop routine. So
- 4:10Speaker 1: the meeting will be at three o'clock. I would guess
- 4:12Speaker 1: it goes about half an hour forty five minutes, and
- 4:16Speaker 1: then if they bring the press in, that'll stretch it
- 4:18Speaker 1: out and they might even take questions if it goes
- 4:20Speaker 1: really well. You never know what this mom Donnie guy.
- 4:25Speaker 1: He still seems like quite the con man, and a
- 4:27Speaker 1: good thing with a con man, you can make deals
- 4:29Speaker 1: with con men. Trump has one. He's got a lot
- 4:33Speaker 1: of great talents, but one real big talent. He can
- 4:36Speaker 1: go into a room with somebody's never met before. And
- 4:40Speaker 1: many people have told me about this he can. I mean,
- 4:44Speaker 1: I've seen it myself a couple of times. But people
- 4:46Speaker 1: were involved in big, big deals where they're going to
- 4:49Speaker 1: meet with the seven people from Hong Kong or whoever.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Trump has an amazing ability to get in the room,
- 4:55Speaker 1: look at him with radar and sonar and see right
- 5:00Speaker 1: through them, see everything, see their weaknesses, their strengths, also
- 5:03Speaker 1: to see what they're really looking for, what they would
- 5:06Speaker 1: really like. So sometimes they go in with a plan,
- 5:08Speaker 1: here's what will present. Barbara Krkan tells this story. They
- 5:12Speaker 1: were going in there to sell this group from Hong
- 5:14Speaker 1: Kong the Plaza hotel and they walk in, sit down
- 5:18Speaker 1: all around these big table. Trump takes one look at
- 5:20Speaker 1: him and knows what they really want, and it's waterfront
- 5:24Speaker 1: property in Manhattan, and he sells them the whole West
- 5:26Speaker 1: Side railroad yards. But he saw right in their faces,
- 5:29Speaker 1: he could tell what they really wanted. So he'll read Mom,
- 5:33Speaker 1: Donnie very well and he'll know. And I remember he's
- 5:36Speaker 1: done this with the big world leaders, with Kim Jong
- 5:40Speaker 1: un and others. Is Zelenski. It went badly the first meeting,
- 5:44Speaker 1: but he saw what was needed. You needed to slap
- 5:47Speaker 1: the guy around a little and have him come back
- 5:50Speaker 1: for a second meeting a little more humble. So we'll
- 5:53Speaker 1: see what happens at three o'clock. We'll probably know. By
- 5:56Speaker 1: four o'clock we'll have some word on what happened. Now,
- 6:00Speaker 1: what are the topics they're going to go over? Well,
- 6:02Speaker 1: police very important. He's agreed to keep Jessica Tish. Now
- 6:06Speaker 1: think about what that means. It's a pretty important to see.
- 6:10Speaker 1: It's the most important decision. You get the right police
- 6:12Speaker 1: commissioner and the police are doing their job and everybody's safe.
- 6:15Speaker 1: That kind of fixes everything in the city. As long
- 6:17Speaker 1: as the streets are safe, people stay, business comes back,
- 6:21Speaker 1: tourists come, money flows in most important thing, keep the
- 6:24Speaker 1: streets safe, and everything else will fall into place. But
- 6:29Speaker 1: remember this is a big thing for Mom Donnie to
- 6:33Speaker 1: get her to stay. Not just good police commissioner, but
- 6:36Speaker 1: she's Jewish, she's an Oligark, she's from an oligarch family.
- 6:39Speaker 1: It's everything Mom Donnie rails against. So he's made this exception.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Apparently part of their agreement is he'll leave the police
- 6:48Speaker 1: department alone, all his crazy stuff of the social workers
- 6:52Speaker 1: and this and that. He'll do that separately. In another department,
- 6:56Speaker 1: and he'll create called the Department of Community Safety. Now
- 7:00Speaker 1: he's given in on some things, social workers respond to
- 7:03Speaker 1: domestic violence calls. Apparently he's given in on that. He's
- 7:06Speaker 1: even said so, well, he's backed off on it publicly. Hey,
- 7:10Speaker 1: the other big thing is there's a civilian review board
- 7:15Speaker 1: that can really go after cops. The police commissioner has
- 7:18Speaker 1: a final say, but he was going to take that
- 7:20Speaker 1: away from the police commissioner and give himself the power.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Apparently he's backing off that. He hasn't absolutely formally announced it,
- 7:30Speaker 1: but his statesman his statements yesterday sound like he's backing off.
- 7:34Speaker 1: He's actually said there's a good chance he won't do that.
- 7:40Speaker 1: He will not take control of the Civilian Complaint Review Board. Well,
- 7:46Speaker 1: he sidestepped the question, he wouldn't say he was going
- 7:48Speaker 1: to continue to do that. He double talked his way
- 7:50Speaker 1: out of it, so that Bob and Weave an evasive
- 7:53Speaker 1: answer made it look like he's backing off that. So
- 7:57Speaker 1: in the meeting today with Trump, first single the Safety Police,
- 8:02Speaker 1: all that stuff, and hopefully Trump is going to bring
- 8:05Speaker 1: up what happened at the Park East Synagogue, one of
- 8:10Speaker 1: the great synagogues in New York on sixty seventh Street
- 8:13Speaker 1: on the east side, there were what were supposed to
- 8:16Speaker 1: be protesters or something in front of it as Jewish
- 8:21Speaker 1: people went to worship in the synagogue. It was not
- 8:24Speaker 1: a protest. It was Muslim terrorism. They were all Muslim
- 8:28Speaker 1: pro Palestine, but they tried to terrorize the worshippers. It
- 8:32Speaker 1: was actual terrorism. Trump's going to bring that up and
- 8:36Speaker 1: point out to them that if anything happens like that,
- 8:38Speaker 1: the government, federal government has every right to come in
- 8:41Speaker 1: there and arrest these people and charge them with terrorism.
- 8:45Speaker 1: And he doesn't want to have to do that.
- 8:46Speaker 2: That.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Momdannie should take care of that. You can have the
- 8:49Speaker 1: same protest, you just have to do what Rudy Giuliani
- 8:53Speaker 1: or a good mayor would do, which is put them
- 8:56Speaker 1: across the street, far away, so not interfering the people
- 9:00Speaker 1: trying to go to the synagogue. Put them far away,
- 9:03Speaker 1: put a fence there so they can yell and scream
- 9:05Speaker 1: and do whatever they want, but they can't get near
- 9:08Speaker 1: the people or terrorize them. So that'll come up in
- 9:10Speaker 1: the meeting today. Now there's a long, long precedent that
- 9:15Speaker 1: allows federal troops to come in and protect the civil
- 9:18Speaker 1: rights of minorities. So if anything like that happens again,
- 9:22Speaker 1: this has been going on for many, many decades, federal
- 9:25Speaker 1: troops can come in and protect people in that situation.
- 9:29Speaker 1: They used to have to do it for black people
- 9:31Speaker 1: in the South when they were being terrorized by Ku
- 9:34Speaker 1: Klux Klan or other protesters. So federal law Trump can
- 9:38Speaker 1: come in and defend those people. They're also going to
- 9:42Speaker 1: talk about He's gonna explain, tobum donnie, this stupid. We're
- 9:45Speaker 1: a city of international law. Apparently, it's going to have
- 9:48Speaker 1: to give him a little civics lesson. We are not
- 9:50Speaker 1: a city of international law. The US does not follow
- 9:54Speaker 1: international law, never has, never will. We have American law.
- 9:58Speaker 1: We have our own laws. We have federal governm laws,
- 10:00Speaker 1: state laws, city laws, we have a Supreme Court. We
- 10:04Speaker 1: do not, no matter how many times he says it,
- 10:06Speaker 1: We're not a city of international law. This idea of
- 10:10Speaker 1: arresting Benjamin Netanya, who I'm sure the President will go
- 10:14Speaker 1: over this the way he claims he can do that
- 10:17Speaker 1: is netnya who was charged in the Hague with war crimes.
- 10:22Speaker 1: The President will probably have to explain to ma'm donni,
- 10:24Speaker 1: we don't recognize that court. That court is a joke.
- 10:28Speaker 1: It's not taken seriously. The US does not recognize that court.
- 10:32Speaker 1: And if Netanna, who were to come to New York
- 10:34Speaker 1: and Trump has said this, federal agents would protect him,
- 10:38Speaker 1: And a couple of Justice Department officials have said if
- 10:41Speaker 1: Mam Donni tries any crap like that, that the Justice
- 10:45Speaker 1: Department will arrest him for hate crimes. So but Trump
- 10:49Speaker 1: will do this nicely. He'll just kind of lay all
- 10:50Speaker 1: this out for him. He's also going to try to
- 10:53Speaker 1: explain to Mam Donni, you know this socialism, free free,
- 10:57Speaker 1: this free gross of free that these are, as one
- 11:02Speaker 1: person put it, these are dorm room conversations and college
- 11:06Speaker 1: dorm rooms from Naive's students. And he's going to try
- 11:10Speaker 1: explain to him. First job of the city government as
- 11:12Speaker 1: collect the trash, clean the streets, make sure they're safe,
- 11:16Speaker 1: run the subways, run the run traffic, keep the town
- 11:20Speaker 1: open for business. It's the most important thing. So this
- 11:23Speaker 1: could be a very very important meeting. It could go badly.
- 11:28Speaker 1: They could get no big fight. Mom Donnie could come
- 11:30Speaker 1: out yelling and screaming. But Trump's pretty good at remember,
- 11:36Speaker 1: Mom Donnie's just a kid. He's never had a job,
- 11:38Speaker 1: He's never been a negotiator. Trump is a master negotiator,
- 11:42Speaker 1: negotiating with the biggest people in the world in business
- 11:45Speaker 1: and television and world affairs. Been doing it all his life. Mom, Donnie, I.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Have many disagreements with the President, and I believe that
- 11:55Speaker 2: we should be relentless and pursue all avenues and all
- 11:58Speaker 2: meetings make our city affordable for every single New Yorker.
- 12:04Speaker 1: All Right, we'll see what happens today. We'll know, there'll
- 12:08Speaker 1: be a little fallout over the weekend, and then we'll
- 12:10Speaker 1: know on Monday.
- 12:11Speaker 2: My team reached out to the White House to set
- 12:14Speaker 2: up this meeting because I will work with anyone to
- 12:16Speaker 2: make life more affordable for the more than eight and
- 12:18Speaker 2: a half million people who call the city home.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Yeah, so his team, Well, that's Dean Fullahan, who's from
- 12:24Speaker 1: the Deblasio team, a couple of there's about five major
- 12:29Speaker 1: people that are like the major inner circle, four of
- 12:32Speaker 1: them from the Deblasio administration, one of them from the
- 12:35Speaker 1: Adams administration. Anyway, we'll get back to that. Hey, the
- 12:40Speaker 1: Dick Cheney funeral. You know who's getting a lot of
- 12:42Speaker 1: flack is Rachel Maddow who was at the Dick Cheney funeral.
- 12:46Speaker 1: To take a look at my Twitter. You can see
- 12:47Speaker 1: the picture of her sitting there next to Anthony Fauci,
- 12:54Speaker 1: Mark Milly, the General Mark Milly. What does that say
- 12:56Speaker 1: about Cheney that the Fauci Millie, the two most incompas
- 13:00Speaker 1: that bungling people ever in government are the ones there
- 13:03Speaker 1: to mourn him. But what the hell was Rachel Maddow
- 13:07Speaker 1: doing there. She's getting a lot of flak for it. Now,
- 13:10Speaker 1: remember when Cheney was in power there as vice president
- 13:15Speaker 1: those eight years. That's when Madow first came on the scene,
- 13:18Speaker 1: first became a big host. But for all those years,
- 13:21Speaker 1: Rachel Maddow brutally attacked Cheney, called him a war criminal,
- 13:25Speaker 1: a liar, a crook, a thief, a torturer, a warmonger.
- 13:30Speaker 1: They went after him for everything. Abu Garab, waterboarding, liar, thief,
- 13:35Speaker 1: They went out and claimed he was had some slimy,
- 13:39Speaker 1: sleazy Halliburton deal. None of that was true. Abu Gharab,
- 13:46Speaker 1: the waterboarding, the torturing in prison. I mean, they just
- 13:51Speaker 1: went after him like crazy. Now she's sitting there at
- 13:54Speaker 1: his funeral mourning him. This is the hypocrisy democrats are
- 13:58Speaker 1: famous for, and asked about it, she said, well, I
- 14:01Speaker 1: felt that he was I didn't agree with him one
- 14:06Speaker 1: hundred percent disagreement with him, but I feel he was
- 14:08Speaker 1: transformation over the last few years in helping to lead
- 14:13Speaker 1: the charge against Donald Trump. So she out and now
- 14:15Speaker 1: admits it. You could be hitler, you could be the
- 14:20Speaker 1: most awful person in the world. But if you're bad
- 14:23Speaker 1: mouthing Trump, she'll stand by you. If it's against Trump,
- 14:26Speaker 1: she likes you, no matter what. A pretty knee jer
- 14:29Speaker 1: kind of silly kind of way to behave. So the
- 14:34Speaker 1: Ukraine Deal, we'll get to that a little later. On
- 14:37Speaker 1: this Ukraine Deal twenty eight point peace plan, people are
- 14:41Speaker 1: saying it's quite an elaborate plan. Steve Witkoff put this together.
- 14:46Speaker 1: A lot of what they learned in the Gaza negotiations
- 14:49Speaker 1: used here. It's a twenty eight point peace plan. People
- 14:52Speaker 1: that have looked through it said it's absolutely ridiculous. It
- 14:56Speaker 1: gives everything to Russia, gives absolutely nothing to Ukraine. It's
- 15:02Speaker 1: twenty eight points. Twenty eight of them favor Russia, but
- 15:06Speaker 1: it's a starting point. They know what they're doing. This
- 15:08Speaker 1: is not the plan. This is like round one, Ukraine
- 15:12Speaker 1: will start eliminating stuff from it. Putin will argue, so
- 15:15Speaker 1: it's a starting point to try to get to something.
- 15:18Speaker 1: But the plan could never be adopted. It doesn't provide
- 15:21Speaker 1: any protection for Ukraine. In the end, it gives them
- 15:25Speaker 1: all the It gives Russia all the territory they wanted anyway,
- 15:28Speaker 1: So there wouldn't be much point to any of this.
- 15:31Speaker 1: It's round one. It's just a round one. Turns out
- 15:35Speaker 1: the Department of Justice under Joe Biden was so weaponized
- 15:39Speaker 1: targeting people law fair, you know, coordinating these Trump indictments
- 15:46Speaker 1: in four different cities. Now it turns out they went
- 15:48Speaker 1: after Jim Jordan in Congress, massive surveillance. They got his phone,
- 15:53Speaker 1: wreckerd emails, everything as GPA, they followed everything he did. Terrible,
- 15:58Speaker 1: terrible surveillance. So we'll just keep coming out. This story
- 16:01Speaker 1: will keep you just keep evolving, getting bigger and bigger
- 16:05Speaker 1: and bigger. Hey, we'll take some calls in just a minute.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten
