- 0:53Speaker 2: you join us once again. We're gonna hear from head
- 0:56Speaker 2: coach Lane Lamber and his reaction from Saturday's game a bit,
- 1:00Speaker 2: and we'll also check in as well with Chandler Stevenson,
- 1:03Speaker 2: who's on an offensive tear and he's doing this at
- 1:07Speaker 2: the right time, looking back to the krack and began work
- 1:10Speaker 2: on the San Jose Sharks on Saturday. In period two,
- 1:13Speaker 2: with the game tied nothing nothing.
- 1:15Speaker 3: Seattle off a change, here's tolban It shoots scars lle
- 1:21Speaker 3: tolman An.
- 1:22Speaker 4: Off the bench, stumbles his way to the right circle
- 1:26Speaker 4: and our wrister in past Askarov. It's a one nothing
- 1:30Speaker 4: Seattle cracking lead, thirteen oh eight to play.
- 1:33Speaker 3: In the second well, it's the puck battle right in
- 1:34Speaker 3: front of the cracking bench. I believe it was Stevenson
- 1:36Speaker 3: that got that puck free freed in freeing it up
- 1:40Speaker 3: for Tolbanan over on the far side. Tolben It gets
- 1:42Speaker 3: a step and these are left handed shots, and we
- 1:44Speaker 3: get to the inside and a quick wrist shot. You
- 1:47Speaker 3: didn't ask rob one nothing bracket up gone death, back
- 1:50Speaker 3: of an airline.
- 1:51Speaker 4: Racking rabbits holds stools. Riker Evans left point, flutters a
- 1:57Speaker 4: shot toward the goal, pull over the shoulder Askarov and
- 2:01Speaker 4: the Seattle crack in retie the game to two, eighteen
- 2:04Speaker 4: o five to go.
- 2:06Speaker 3: On the third well, Ryker Evans with an elite keep
- 2:09Speaker 3: right at the blue line. His skates got outside the
- 2:11Speaker 3: blue line, but he caught the puck, knocked it down
- 2:14Speaker 3: inside the blue line. The line'sman waves it it's onside.
- 2:18Speaker 3: He gets a shot off and a flutter it goes
- 2:19Speaker 3: off a stick beat taskar rob. This game's tied at
- 2:22Speaker 3: two dred left circle.
- 2:23Speaker 4: That say shot twos. Ryan Lendrin from the left circle
- 2:29Speaker 4: may have deflected in, but the Seattle Kraken back on top.
- 2:33Speaker 3: It's a three to two cracking lead. Well, if this
- 2:37Speaker 3: goes down, his Lingering's goal to be his first of
- 2:39Speaker 3: the season. It was a great shot by him as
- 2:41Speaker 3: he waited for the screen going to the front of
- 2:43Speaker 3: the net. I believe it was Tolvenin heading towards the front.
- 2:46Speaker 3: It may have gone off of him. We're having to
- 2:48Speaker 3: look here and didn't redirect, but it could have gone
- 2:51Speaker 3: off of a Shark player as well.
- 2:53Speaker 4: Centering pass it front knocked away l A tolven In
- 2:55Speaker 4: from the red line torn in ahead shannoner Stevenson left circle,
- 2:59Speaker 4: cus front schools Chandler Stevenson two points. Tonight the Kraken
- 3:08Speaker 4: with the insurance goal. It's a four to two Seattle
- 3:11Speaker 4: lead with one twenty four to play in this.
- 3:14Speaker 3: One while smart Byley Tobin too coming through the neutral zone.
- 3:18Speaker 3: He makes a move to create a little bit of space,
- 3:19Speaker 3: but he knows he's got Channer Stevenson up ahead of him.
- 3:22Speaker 3: He gets him the pass because he's the guy that's opened.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Channer Stevenson carries it to the open cage to make
- 3:28Speaker 3: sure it gets in. Four to two. Kraken Channer Stevenson
- 3:31Speaker 3: has extended his goal streak to four games ty in
- 3:33Speaker 3: his career.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Beck that Zeverra Fitzio and al Koniski on the call,
- 3:37Speaker 2: making it two wins out of three for the Kracking
- 3:39Speaker 2: over the Sharks this season. Regular season sets all done,
- 3:43Speaker 2: and that's no small feat given how better San Jose
- 3:46Speaker 2: is this season. But for a night that saw a
- 3:48Speaker 2: ton of pressure toward goaltender and Joey the cord, he
- 3:51Speaker 2: was great in handling it with thirty four saves on
- 3:54Speaker 2: thirty six shots and what also helped the Kraken lane
- 3:57Speaker 2: down the body to block shot. In this game, the
- 4:01Speaker 2: court was backed up by also three unananswered goals with
- 4:04Speaker 2: the Kraken trailing early in period three, add two to one.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Here's a reaction after the win, but that coach laid Lambert.
- 4:13Speaker 5: Well, just the effort. There was a lot of commitment.
- 4:15Speaker 5: We spent some time in our on our zone in
- 4:17Speaker 5: the second period, but we had a lot of commitment, uh,
- 4:21Speaker 5: a lot of block shots, and you know, I thought
- 4:24Speaker 5: that we stuck with it even when we went down
- 4:27Speaker 5: in the third. So it was a total, uh total
- 4:30Speaker 5: team effort. What stood out to you about the word tonight? Uh, Well,
- 4:34Speaker 5: you know, again, they're playing hard minutes. Both those lines
- 4:38Speaker 5: are planning hard minutes, and I thought they did a
- 4:40Speaker 5: good job against you know, a couple of their top people,
- 4:43Speaker 5: and you know, and I thought they created some stuff
- 4:46Speaker 5: as well.
- 4:47Speaker 2: You says Ryan Lincoln's game, not only because he's played
- 4:50Speaker 2: the game.
- 4:50Speaker 5: Winner, but also defensively. Well, I mean he's always uh
- 4:55Speaker 5: given it everything he's got. Defensively, you know, he'll block shots,
- 4:58Speaker 5: he'll pay the price, he'll do uh whatever it takes, uh,
- 5:01Speaker 5: you know, penalty killing. He was good and you know
- 5:04Speaker 5: it was nice to see him break through and get
- 5:06Speaker 5: his first goal.
- 5:08Speaker 6: Name you, Toby Goh was a great exampily with you
- 5:10Speaker 6: guys tying up celebrating, uh and the new tries and
- 5:14Speaker 6: he jumps in the jump say they gets the score. Yeah,
- 5:17Speaker 6: I think it was kind of going on all le
- 5:18Speaker 6: all night to night. It seem like something I'm sure
- 5:21Speaker 6: you're happy with him.
- 5:22Speaker 5: Yeah, I thought we played fairly well through the Neutrals on.
- 5:24Speaker 5: They're a fast team and they like to stretch out, so, uh,
- 5:27Speaker 5: you know, they did get a couple of outnumbered rushers,
- 5:29Speaker 5: but for the most part, I thought we did a
- 5:30Speaker 5: pretty good job of trying to uh, you know, be
- 5:33Speaker 5: above them. And then uh, you know, stan oar Trous.
- 5:38Speaker 6: Did Joey's night. He'd be pretty he saves it few times.
- 5:42Speaker 5: He was good, really good. You know, he was good
- 5:45Speaker 5: when we needed him to be. And uh, you know,
- 5:48Speaker 5: I thought he played a great game for us.
- 5:51Speaker 6: Is the third game in a row over the third grade,
- 5:53Speaker 6: yet this time you do lock it down and close
- 5:55Speaker 6: out the game. What was differentt night was a bost
- 5:57Speaker 6: the last year.
- 5:57Speaker 7: Uh.
- 5:58Speaker 5: I thought we did a better job of managing the
- 5:59Speaker 5: pot in in that moment, and I thought our bench
- 6:03Speaker 5: was good. I thought everybody was, you know, completely on
- 6:07Speaker 5: board with how we need to play. And you know,
- 6:10Speaker 5: from that standpoint, it was nice to see, uh, and
- 6:14Speaker 5: we you know, we made sure we manage the puck well.
- 6:16Speaker 5: You know, you look at the shift by Winterton, Karcha
- 6:21Speaker 5: and Myers there towards the end, just keeping the puck
- 6:24Speaker 5: down low, killing off time. I thought it was an
- 6:27Speaker 5: amazing job from that standpoint. So let's hope that you know,
- 6:30Speaker 5: we continue to grow from that and uh and you know,
- 6:33Speaker 5: and and understand what it takes to win.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Chandler Stephens said, now has points in eighth straight games.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Here's his reaction afterward in San Jose, with a refreshing
- 6:43Speaker 2: win in the books.
- 6:45Speaker 6: For a lot of reasons.
- 6:46Speaker 3: What you what do you like most about what the team?
- 6:48Speaker 6: How the team?
- 6:50Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean I think obviously it's nice to win.
- 6:53Speaker 7: Feels good, but yeah, I think we know how it's
- 6:57Speaker 7: been here as of late, and obviously gonna enjoy this one.
- 7:01Speaker 7: But I think, you know, I like how we played,
- 7:05Speaker 7: and just gotta take this into sand Or, into Anaheim
- 7:10Speaker 7: in LA and try to get as many points there
- 7:13Speaker 7: before the Christmas.
- 7:13Speaker 6: Breaks all year. And he had some good opportunities scoring.
- 7:20Speaker 6: You must have feel good about been scoring but also
- 7:23Speaker 6: being able to set him.
- 7:23Speaker 3: Up playing that.
- 7:25Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean, he's a really good acquisition that we got,
- 7:30Speaker 7: you know, just from defensive p K kind of shut
- 7:34Speaker 7: down standpoint. You know, it's always tough playing against them,
- 7:40Speaker 7: and I mean you can see, you know, him being
- 7:42Speaker 7: on this side that he's always in a good spot,
- 7:44Speaker 7: always kind of has a stick on things, always kind
- 7:46Speaker 7: of has a body on things. He's just kinda he's
- 7:48Speaker 7: always there. And uh, I mean that's huge. I mean,
- 7:51Speaker 7: you really appreciate those guys, you know when they're on
- 7:55Speaker 7: your team, and I know that you know, the guys
- 7:58Speaker 7: appreciate him that just the way he plays, i mean,
- 8:02Speaker 7: blocking shots, he's just kind of doing all the things
- 8:04Speaker 7: that go unnoticed to win a game.
- 8:07Speaker 6: What were you seeing on that play of good Church
- 8:09Speaker 6: of setting up.
- 8:10Speaker 7: Said to him about I mean, they just kind of
- 8:13Speaker 7: gave me a little bit of time there at the
- 8:14Speaker 7: blue line, and yeah, I just tried to see who's
- 8:18Speaker 7: on the weak side and saw him and Tolby and
- 8:19Speaker 7: just threw it there and not sure what it went
- 8:22Speaker 7: off of, but I mean obviously huge goal, go ahead
- 8:26Speaker 7: goal and his first of the year versus the krack
- 8:29Speaker 7: and so obviously that's gotta feel good. And yeah, hopefully
- 8:34Speaker 7: you can find some confidence.
- 8:36Speaker 6: It might be a dumb question, but it won't be
- 8:38Speaker 6: the first time for me. But in terms of winning
- 8:41Speaker 6: a game like this, Does this make every pretty feel
- 8:44Speaker 6: like Okay, now we can go win some more and
- 8:46Speaker 6: you kind of get down on the street game off.
- 8:49Speaker 7: Yeah, I think, you know, obviously it's hasn't been good
- 8:54Speaker 7: here as of late. We haven't like we're not completely
- 8:57Speaker 7: out of it. We understand that. I know that there's
- 9:01Speaker 7: games in hand and all that stuff that you can
- 9:02Speaker 7: look at, but you know, they don't really matter if
- 9:05Speaker 7: you don't win games. So I think right now we're
- 9:08Speaker 7: just focusing on a game at a time here. Tonight
- 9:11Speaker 7: was TV timeout at a time, just trying to do
- 9:15Speaker 7: little things to kind of get us going. And yeah,
- 9:18Speaker 7: I feel like the guys battled all night. Second period,
- 9:21Speaker 7: you know, they had a lot of momentum, but you know,
- 9:24Speaker 7: once third period kind of rolled around. First period was
- 9:26Speaker 7: great and just kind of shut things down and Joe
- 9:29Speaker 7: played great. I mean, it was just a good team
- 9:32Speaker 7: kind of grease the road went.
- 9:35Speaker 6: Third game, I already got a leave a third period.
- 9:37Speaker 6: This time, you walk it down, you hang on to it.
- 9:39Speaker 6: What was different tonight as opposed to the last team.
- 9:42Speaker 7: I think just kind of felt like the guys were
- 9:46Speaker 7: just like enough is enough. I mean, it's been like
- 9:48Speaker 7: that for a while here now, and yeah, you could
- 9:52Speaker 7: just kind of feel that we weren't letting that one
- 9:55Speaker 7: get away. Guys on the bench just felt really good,
- 10:00Speaker 7: felt like we could just shut it down, lock it down. Nothing,
- 10:04Speaker 7: nobody's being too cute, just making them come, getting out
- 10:08Speaker 7: of the zone every time and making them come. So
- 10:10Speaker 7: that's always frustrating when you know you're on the other
- 10:12Speaker 7: end of that and you have to just go in
- 10:14Speaker 7: the note zone, into your zone and get the fucking
- 10:15Speaker 7: come back, and they just keep flipping it out. So
- 10:17Speaker 7: we just tried to kind of play simple, stupid hockey,
- 10:21Speaker 7: and yeah, it work in our favor.
- 10:24Speaker 2: What you need to know about tonight, the Krack and
- 10:26Speaker 2: are still fighting tooth and nailed to inch closer to
- 10:29Speaker 2: the cut line in the West. The win two nights
- 10:32Speaker 2: ago was pretty big at this point all things considered.
- 10:36Speaker 2: It helped the crack and keep pace. Their gap is
- 10:38Speaker 2: now back to seven points out of the cut line
- 10:40Speaker 2: point total at thirty two Utah and the Kings at
- 10:44Speaker 2: thirty nine. So this evening's game will be the second
- 10:47Speaker 2: meeting with Danaheim and the first since opening night where
- 10:50Speaker 2: the Kraken are facing a Ducks team that can be
- 10:53Speaker 2: very potent, but had handled pretty well ten to four
- 10:56Speaker 2: and one head to head, along with an astounding five
- 10:58Speaker 2: to one and one reck in Orange County. Anaheim comes
- 11:02Speaker 2: off of four to three win over the Blue Jackets.
- 11:04Speaker 2: They're two points ahead of Vegas for first place in
- 11:07Speaker 2: the Pacific Division under head coach Joel Quinnville. They can
- 11:11Speaker 2: fly hard in the expression goaltending, though at times have
- 11:15Speaker 2: raised a few questions. Their teams say percentage at eight
- 11:18Speaker 2: A two twenty six in the NHL. But the Krack
- 11:22Speaker 2: can know how to stop the ducks, and with that
- 11:25Speaker 2: it means to neutralize. They're a young core led by
- 11:28Speaker 2: Leo Carlson, Jackson Lacombe, Troy Terry, and much more so.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Can the Kraken turn that into another two point nine?
- 11:37Speaker 2: We'll talk about a beginning at six thirty four year airtime,
- 11:40Speaker 2: Bob dropping a little past seven o'clock from hon to center.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Certainly looking forward to having you for Krakeen this morning.
- 11:46Speaker 2: I might bet you're home.
- 11:47Speaker 1: For the Kraken. Sports Radio ninety three point three kjr
