- 0:59Dayna Roselli: It really is.
- 0:59Dayna Roselli: It's pool season already here in Las Vegas.
- 1:01Dayna Roselli: It started March 7th.
- 1:03Sean McAllister: Which I can't believe, and I'm personally not quite ready for.
- 1:06Dayna Roselli: No, I know, right?
- 1:08Dayna Roselli: You sort of thought, wait, I didn't get my pool body ready yet.
- 1:11Dayna Roselli: Oh, I better get moving, right?
- 1:14Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
- 1:15Dayna Roselli: Um, but we're back.
- 1:16Dayna Roselli: We're we're slowly getting back in the groove, and we just got back from the John Wick experience at Area 15.
- 1:22Dayna Roselli: We kind of got a little bit of a preview.
- 1:23Dayna Roselli: By the time this podcast drops, it's officially open.
- 1:26Dayna Roselli: It smells shiny and new inside, and it is really cool.
- 1:31Sean McAllister: It is.
- 1:32Sean McAllister: I was impressed to see how the entire attraction is decorated.
- 1:38Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 1:39Sean McAllister: I was like, wait a second, is this like interior design or is it set decoration?
- 1:43Sean McAllister: Because you know, there is a film studio involved with this.
- 1:46Sean McAllister: Lionsgate films is behind uh the John Wick franchise.
- 1:50Sean McAllister: And so you do, you have that element of set design along with regular just interior design.
- 1:57Sean McAllister: And I that is a a really stunning attraction.
- 2:02Dayna Roselli: It is, and we're gonna have more on it uh coming up in just a little bit.
- 2:05Dayna Roselli: We actually uh have an interview we're gonna share with you, and it's it's great.
- 2:08Dayna Roselli: You'll learn all about it.
- 2:09Dayna Roselli: And if you're a John Wick movie series fan, you're gonna want to go, and if you're not, you're gonna probably want to go as well.
- 2:17Dayna Roselli: Well, Dita Von Tees was a huge hit on our social media.
- 2:20Dayna Roselli: I just wanted to mention we do have the audio podcast with Dita, and that is on episode 259.
- 2:27Dayna Roselli: But our TV show just released, and we did a big sit-down, a big backstage tour with her.
- 2:32Dayna Roselli: That's on our YouTube now, but on TikTok and Instagram, she is just flying off the shelves.
- 2:38Dayna Roselli: People love Dita Vantis.
- 2:40Sean McAllister: And one of the most overwhelmingly uh positive responses that we've seen in the comments.
- 2:46Sean McAllister: That's right.
- 2:47Sean McAllister: Because you know, in s on social media, oh yeah, it can be a mixed bag.
- 2:51Sean McAllister: It can be a mixed bag or it can be a big old pylon.
- 2:54Dayna Roselli: Yeah, but it was nasty.
- 2:56Sean McAllister: It was a giant love fest.
- 2:58Dayna Roselli: It really was.
- 2:59Sean McAllister: For Dita Von Tees.
- 3:01Sean McAllister: I I personally love seeing that.
- 3:04Dayna Roselli: Yep.
- 3:04Sean McAllister: And I mean, she's gotta love to see that too.
- 3:08Dayna Roselli: Not that she's really scrolling through the comments on Vegas Revealed, but but we loved her so much, and so many people that saw the TV show with her said, you know, uh, we just enjoyed this interview.
- 3:20Dayna Roselli: We loved it.
- 3:20Dayna Roselli: We just had one um one of our listeners actually that shares our YouTube show every week.
- 3:25Dayna Roselli: He loved it too.
- 3:26Dayna Roselli: He loved her show with the horseshoe.
- 3:28Dayna Roselli: And now that she's over at Voltaire, he wanted to see what it's like there.
- 3:31Dayna Roselli: So, I mean, there's so many people are saying we really liked this in-depth interview that you did.
- 3:35Dayna Roselli: So we appreciate that.
- 3:36Dayna Roselli: We like to try uh different things.
- 3:38Dayna Roselli: Sometimes we go a little longer, um, sometimes we keep it short.
- 3:42Dayna Roselli: But anyway, that is officially on our YouTube if you're interested in Dita Vonties, like everyone else seems to be.
- 3:47Sean McAllister: And your mom found it really interesting too.
- 3:50Dayna Roselli: She knew nothing about Dita and loved it.
- 3:52Dayna Roselli: She's like, You it left me wanting more.
- 3:54Dayna Roselli: And she's like, I really liked her.
- 3:56Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, because we were saying how much we liked her.
- 3:59Dayna Roselli: And she, my mom said it came across that way in the interview.
- 4:02Dayna Roselli: You can tell she is just really cool.
- 4:04Dayna Roselli: Her knowledge of vintage and all that, and her history and burlesque.
- 4:09Dayna Roselli: She thought it was really interesting.
- 4:10Dayna Roselli: So I love that.
- 4:12Dayna Roselli: And you know, she really was uh she's a classy lady, but she's down to earth.
- 4:16Sean McAllister: Absolutely, she really is.
- 4:17Sean McAllister: Again, uh, you can check out our Vegas Revealed social media channels to see the the clips that we've posted.
- 4:23Sean McAllister: Also, you can see the the full uh show, uh the sit down with Dita and the Backstage tour on our Vegas Revealed uh YouTube channel.
- 4:33Sean McAllister: And a reminder that you can leave us comments, let us know what you think about the show.
- 4:37Sean McAllister: You can let us know what you think about our our YouTube uh shows too.
- 4:41Sean McAllister: Just go down to our show notes and click the link.
- 4:44Sean McAllister: You can text us your message.
- 4:46Sean McAllister: Be sure to send us your name too, so we know who's sending it.
- 4:49Sean McAllister: And uh we'll read those comments and respond uh in the next audio podcast.
- 4:55Dayna Roselli: Hey, and another quick note Backstreet Boys added shows at the sphere over the summer.
- 4:59Dayna Roselli: Pitbull added shows, I think Mother's Day weekend at Fountain Blue, and the weekend uh he actually added another show at Allegiant.
- 5:09Dayna Roselli: So everyone's adding shows.
- 5:11Dayna Roselli: Um, but if any of those you plan to go to and you want uh, you know, other dates or choices because it didn't line up before, go check on that and you might be able to make it now.
- 5:19Sean McAllister: All right, should we talk sports for a minute?
- 5:21Sean McAllister: Sure.
- 5:22Dayna Roselli: Sports and entertainment, right?
- 5:23Dayna Roselli: They go together these days.
- 5:25Sean McAllister: Is entertainment now.
- 5:26Sean McAllister: Not only is Las Vegas the entertainment capital of the world, it is the sports and entertainment capital of the world now.
- 5:33Sean McAllister: Of course, we have uh talked for a while now about the relocation of the Oakland A's to Las Vegas.
- 5:42Sean McAllister: Well, right now the A's are playing temporarily in Sacramento before the stadium is built here in Las Vegas and the team officially moves here for the 2028 season.
- 5:54Sean McAllister: Well, before all of that, they just played a game at the Las Vegas ballpark out in Summerlin here.
- 6:00Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that was great, right?
- 6:01Dayna Roselli: And so while they were here, you know, they had an event over at the convention center for the media to come to because they had a couple announcements to make, wanted to introduce some people, and we got to meet some of the players.
- 6:11Dayna Roselli: So that was kind of cool.
- 6:12Sean McAllister: Yeah, they're excited about coming here to Las Vegas, it seems.
- 6:16Sean McAllister: I think it's really going to add a lot of energy to what they do out on the baseball field.
- 6:21Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 6:22Dayna Roselli: And they announced that they're gonna wear these Las Vegas patches on their sleeve now and have this collaboration or partnership with Las Vegas.
- 6:29Dayna Roselli: So again, another step showing they're coming here to Las Vegas.
- 6:33Dayna Roselli: Plans are moving forward to build a stadium on the strip on the Tropicana site.
- 6:38Dayna Roselli: They released some new renderings.
- 6:40Dayna Roselli: And even at this press uh conference, I can't remember who it was that he was saying, I try to stay away from reading the blogs and the this and the comments, but for everyone who doubted that the A's are coming, I think this is more proof that we are.
- 6:53Sean McAllister: I think that might have been one of our county commissioners who was up there talking.
- 6:57Dayna Roselli: Yes, I think you're right.
- 6:58Sean McAllister: But he said, Hey, there were a couple speakers.
- 7:00Sean McAllister: They were like, Listen, we know that there is skepticism surrounding this.
- 7:05Sean McAllister: Yep, but for the next three years, the A's are gonna be wearing that Las Vegas patch on their jerseys for every single game.
- 7:14Sean McAllister: So Las Vegas is a part of the team now.
- 7:17Sean McAllister: Right.
- 7:17Sean McAllister: And they said that, you know, they wouldn't be putting patches on their jerseys if this partnership wasn't the real deal.
- 7:24Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and the sphere committed too.
- 7:26Dayna Roselli: There was a big baseball with the A's logo on it uh on the sphere as this media conference happened.
- 7:33Dayna Roselli: That was a nice touch.
- 7:35Sean McAllister: Yeah, we were up on a third story uh balcony, an outdoor patio over at the new wing of the Las Vegas Convention Center, and it really had a great view of the sphere.
- 7:48Sean McAllister: This press conference took place with you know the sphere in the in the background that was the backdrop of everything.
- 7:54Sean McAllister: And so when it turned, when the image turned from whatever glittery mirror ball thing they had up there into the A's baseball, that was really cool.
- 8:05Sean McAllister: People cheered.
- 8:06Dayna Roselli: It was yes, it was exciting.
- 8:08Dayna Roselli: And I was even thinking about that patio side note um that what a great place for some of these conventions to have events out there at night.
- 8:17Dayna Roselli: Amazing sphere in the background, uh, in the wind right there.
- 8:21Dayna Roselli: I mean, what a great spot.
- 8:22Dayna Roselli: Because we were in the newer part of the convention, the new convention center, newer.
- 8:26Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 8:27Dayna Roselli: They're redoing the other one too now.
- 8:29Dayna Roselli: Um, but anyway, yes, all of it.
- 8:31Dayna Roselli: It was so Vegas, all of it.
- 8:32Dayna Roselli: And it was exciting.
- 8:33Dayna Roselli: So we did talk to one of the players, Brent Rooker.
- 8:36Dayna Roselli: He was in town and said, Hey, can we chat with one of the players?
- 8:38Dayna Roselli: I want to get their perspective on are they excited to come to Las Vegas?
- 8:41Dayna Roselli: How are they feeling right now?
- 8:42Dayna Roselli: Well, listen, what's it feel like to be in Las Vegas, actually be on the ground and know that this is coming in the future?
- 8:47SPEAKER_03: It's exciting.
- 8:48SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you know, we were about we were about four happy to get up here and check things out.
- 8:51SPEAKER_03: Uh kind of we feel the excitement for everybody that's here, and and the welcome has been great.
- 8:55Dayna Roselli: So talk to us a little bit about what you're looking forward to most.
- 8:58Dayna Roselli: Anything?
- 8:59SPEAKER_03: Um, I mean, I think just, you know, being able to grow an existing fan base.
- 9:03SPEAKER_03: We're gonna come here um in in a city that doesn't have a baseball presence at the Major League level, but establish our identity here, build a culture, build a brand here, and then watch it explode.
- 9:12SPEAKER_03: It's gonna be cool.
- 9:13SPEAKER_05: What is it about it that makes it special?
- 9:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I think um baseball is a pretty unique viewing experience just because there is there's more downtime than other sports, so it can be a little bit more social, be more be a little bit more laid back um between pitches.
- 9:24SPEAKER_03: You're having you're hanging out with your friends, having conversations, things like that, and then locking when the action goes on, and then I think also, you know, speaking specifically to us, um the future of our franchise and our team is really bright.
- 9:35SPEAKER_03: We've got a lot of really good players, we're looking to put some really good teams on the field in the next few years, and I think that's gonna carry into our um our time here as well.
- 9:41Dayna Roselli: Does it make a difference being in a state-of-the-art brand new ballpark when it when it opens?
- 9:46Dayna Roselli: I mean, that that's gotta be exciting for you.
- 9:47SPEAKER_03: Yeah, absolutely it does.
- 9:48SPEAKER_03: I mean, the renderings look unbelievable.
- 9:50SPEAKER_03: Um, we're excited to see what eliminated tables.
- 9:52SPEAKER_03: You know, I'm sure the the facilities and the amenities for us as players are gonna be top-notch in first class, and it's gonna make the experience that much better.
- 9:59SPEAKER_05: Is it gonna be hard not to party in Vegas?
- 10:02SPEAKER_03: Maybe for some of us.
- 10:03SPEAKER_03: Uh I mean for me as a as a parent of two young children, probably not.
- 10:07SPEAKER_03: But for some of the young guys, we'll see how they handle it.
- 10:09Dayna Roselli: Well, we have lots of family activities here too, plenty of them.
- 10:12SPEAKER_03: That sounds great.
- 10:13SPEAKER_03: Sounds great.
- 10:14Sean McAllister: It was good to hear uh Brent's perspective.
- 10:16Sean McAllister: You know, he's moving here with kids.
- 10:18Sean McAllister: Yep, so it's not gonna be the crazy side of Las Vegas that he sees per se.
- 10:24Sean McAllister: Uh, we also did talk to the newly announced president.
- 10:27Dayna Roselli: Until they win the World Series.
- 10:29Sean McAllister: Until they win the World Series.
- 10:30Dayna Roselli: That night's gonna be crazy.
- 10:31Sean McAllister: And there's a parade.
- 10:32Dayna Roselli: The kids are staying home.
- 10:33Sean McAllister: Yeah, the kids can get a nanny.
- 10:35Sean McAllister: Stay home with the nanny for that.
- 10:36Dayna Roselli: Sorry, okay, keep going.
- 10:38Sean McAllister: We also spoke with the A's newly announced president, who is a familiar name and face here in Las Vegas, Mark Badain.
- 10:47Sean McAllister: You may remember that he was the president of the Raiders when they moved here to Las Vegas.
- 10:53Sean McAllister: So he brings a unique perspective to that job position.
- 10:57Sean McAllister: And we spoke with him as well.
- 10:59SPEAKER_01: Well, baseball team is very different than a football team.
- 11:01SPEAKER_01: Uh, a lot more games, uh, and then obviously the ability to touch more people that are playing baseball than are playing football in in youth leagues.
- 11:10SPEAKER_01: Um, I'm excited to do another project, right?
- 11:12SPEAKER_01: This city continues to evolve.
- 11:14SPEAKER_01: This city is always uh doing something new.
- 11:17SPEAKER_01: You obviously took the pictures with the strip and or with the sphere in the background.
- 11:21SPEAKER_01: Uh and and our building is gonna be spectacular.
- 11:23SPEAKER_01: I just saw the renderings of the last couple weeks and you saw them released yesterday, and it's gonna add another incredible piece of infrastructure to the skyline and another great facility for the town to bring more events, events that might not otherwise stop here.
- 11:37SPEAKER_01: And also, what you're starting to see is all of the venues working together.
- 11:43SPEAKER_01: So when there's a massive event in town, there's now overflow facilities.
- 11:47SPEAKER_01: So if there's a huge event at Allegiant, uh T-Mobile, the new arena that Tim's gonna build, uh our stadium will have the ability to host other events, and it'll just make every event that much bigger, that Vegas multiplier effect that you see across sporting events and other events that come here, just as one more brand new state-of-the-art venue uh to add to the equation.
- 12:08Dayna Roselli: And a lot of people weren't sure if it was gonna go on the strip or setback and all that.
- 12:11Dayna Roselli: I mean, I mean, what what's the plus of it being on the strip?
- 12:15SPEAKER_01: Well, certainly you get the the foot traffic, you get the tourists, uh, and then you get the locals.
- 12:20SPEAKER_01: Locals are used to coming down here, and and we have a a pretty strong plan for transportation to get people in and out of here, uh, and we'll work on that over the next three years.
- 12:28SPEAKER_01: But we've got the same project team that built Allegiant, and getting in and out of there is one of the easiest experiences compared to other NFL teams, and we'll try and replicate that in the baseball stadium.
- 12:38Dayna Roselli: What if people still say, oh, the A's aren't coming?
- 12:40Dayna Roselli: They are, right?
- 12:41SPEAKER_01: Well, I I I don't think I would have joined if I didn't think they were coming.
- 12:44SPEAKER_01: Um I was a skeptic for a while.
- 12:46SPEAKER_01: I was uh that was out there, and I don't hide from that.
- 12:49SPEAKER_01: And I've spent the last couple months getting to know the team of people, and I obviously know some of the people that uh are with the A's now, and I came to be really, really impressed.
- 12:57SPEAKER_01: I get to walk into a very advantageous situation.
- 13:00SPEAKER_01: They've done a lot of hard work, uh, they've done a lot of heavy lifting, the building is spectacular, uh, the financing's in place, so now the fun part gets to happen.
- 13:08SPEAKER_01: You get to see cranes and you get to put people to work and you get to see the jobs, uh, and we get to start to fill the place.
- 13:14Dayna Roselli: Last question.
- 13:15Dayna Roselli: Uh sports obviously has really, you know, I mean, just blown up here in Las Vegas.
- 13:19Dayna Roselli: It does also have the entertainment aspect.
- 13:21Dayna Roselli: Um, I feel like we kind of set the tone for really every sports team in the whole country, everyone's trying to be like us.
- 13:26Dayna Roselli: But um bringing that together, I mean, is that a surprise or did you see that coming?
- 13:31Dayna Roselli: I mean, it just seems like it's taken such a turn where everyone has just really embraced it.
- 13:37SPEAKER_01: That's a fair point, and you're starting to see teams send their people out here to see the game day experience that the Knights and the Raiders put on and how that's different than what you might see in other markets.
- 13:48SPEAKER_01: And we'll have to do that same thing here, and we'll put a lot of effort and a lot of energy behind it, and we'll tap into all the resources that are in Las Vegas.
- 13:55SPEAKER_01: It's a really tight-knit community, as you know, and so all the people that are here want to be a part of these things and want to be collaborative and want to work together uh with the sports team.
- 14:04SPEAKER_01: So you combine the sports teams, the entertainment assets that are in town, and that's a really good partnership.
- 14:09Dayna Roselli: Great to have Mark back.
- 14:11Dayna Roselli: Well, I said that to him, and he said, Well, I never left.
- 14:13Dayna Roselli: He loves Las Vegas, so he wasn't going anywhere.
- 14:15Dayna Roselli: He said he was taking a hiatus.
- 14:16Dayna Roselli: I said, I've been on plenty of hiatuses, especially from 2012 to 2013.
- 14:23Dayna Roselli: Anyway, um, great to have him uh leading the organization and uh excited for the things that are to come.
- 14:29Dayna Roselli: Now, the stadium is projected, if it goes ahead, it is as planned to be done around 2028 in the spring, which would be right in time for you know Olympic season in Los Angeles, and then the bright line train to be done.
- 14:43Dayna Roselli: So, and they expect a lot of people to, while they're here for the Olympics, want to visit Las Vegas, and so it would be perfect timing.
- 14:50Sean McAllister: Yeah, it really would.
- 14:51Sean McAllister: And once again, uh that Ace Stadium um set to be built uh over on that plot of land where the Tropicana once sat.
- 15:01Sean McAllister: So we will see.
- 15:02Sean McAllister: Last night passed by, there were still some giant piles of rubble over there.
- 15:07Sean McAllister: No baseball stadium yet.
- 15:09Sean McAllister: Not yet, but you know, things here go up quick.
- 15:10Sean McAllister: They do.
- 15:11Dayna Roselli: You blink your eyes, it's like it's crazy.
- 15:14Dayna Roselli: Um okay, well, this went up quick too, and we're talking about the John Wick experience over at Area 15.
- 15:20Dayna Roselli: Um this attraction.
- 15:23Dayna Roselli: We walked in, and first of all, it's gorgeous, it's new, and it smells new.
- 15:29Dayna Roselli: Um, but it just looks like it's gonna be so much fun.
- 15:32Dayna Roselli: It has all these interactive elements, um, themed set pieces, there's cinematic storytelling, you're thrown into the mix as well, you're part of it.
- 15:41Dayna Roselli: There's actors, but we were able to talk with Jason Egan from Egan Productions, he's behind this along with Lionsgate.
- 15:50Sean McAllister: Yeah, Jason has been behind productions here in Las Vegas for uh over 20 years.
- 15:56Sean McAllister: If you're familiar with uh the Fright Dome experience, Egan Productions is behind that, and that's become widely popular, but he's since ventured out to other uh immersive interactive projects, uh many with Lionsgate films that kind of tap into some of their uh movie titles.
- 16:17Sean McAllister: So this was a natural fit for them to come together, work together once again on this John Wick experience.
- 16:24Sean McAllister: And we talked to Jason about everything that went into this.
- 16:28SPEAKER_02: This has been so much fun.
- 16:30SPEAKER_02: I mean, I love the John Wick movies, they are absolutely incredible.
- 16:33SPEAKER_02: I mean, they were so much fun.
- 16:34SPEAKER_02: And I mean, and in a lot of times in a series of movies, you'll be like, okay, four is not that great, but these ones keep going up and getting better.
- 16:40SPEAKER_02: The characters in John Wick Four were so amazing.
- 16:44SPEAKER_02: And when Lionsgate came to me and they're like, hey, would you be interested in doing a John Wick experience with us?
- 16:48SPEAKER_02: Because I already have Saw and Blair Witch with them.
- 16:51SPEAKER_02: I'm like, sure, where do I sign?
- 16:53SPEAKER_02: This is this is unbelievable because I love the franchise.
- 16:55SPEAKER_02: And now back 10, 20 years ago, I didn't have the ability to say no because I was like, you know, no, or I would always say yes, yes, yes, I'll do the attraction, yes, yes, yes.
- 17:04SPEAKER_02: And now I can say no and be very picky and choosy.
- 17:07SPEAKER_02: And when John Wick came up, I'm like, absolutely, you know, this is this is such a cool franchise.
- 17:11SPEAKER_02: And that's what's fun is teaming up with film studios that have iconic IP like John Wick and intellectual property like John Wick.
- 17:18SPEAKER_02: And that's what's been exciting.
- 17:19SPEAKER_02: And of course, I mean we've got a couple more in the works for this year right now.
- 17:22SPEAKER_02: So I guess get one open off to the next, get one open off to the next.
- 17:25SPEAKER_02: I mean, I could shortly only live once.
- 17:27SPEAKER_02: So let's create some really cool stuff and leave our stamp on you know Las Vegas, as I have done over the past 20 plus years in this town.
- 17:35SPEAKER_02: I mean, we've created so many fun attractions over the past 20 years, and I decided to keep it up in the bar and up in the bar and up in the bar and diversifying with something so beautiful.
- 17:44SPEAKER_02: I mean, usually my stuff is like old and decrepit and 15 layers of scary paint and stuff like that.
- 17:51SPEAKER_02: And this one was a complete 180.
- 17:53SPEAKER_02: I mean, this is this is so much fun to do.
- 17:54Dayna Roselli: So tell us where we're standing now about this room.
- 17:58SPEAKER_02: So we are in the Las Vegas Continental, and this is the manager's office.
- 18:01SPEAKER_02: So you are going to meet with the manager and discuss the bounty that was just placed on your head.
- 18:06SPEAKER_02: So you gotta meet with them, and then the manager's gonna tell you what you have to do to get out to you know go to a safe haven.
- 18:13Dayna Roselli: Uh tell folks who don't I I like to ask this question, who haven't watched the films, why they should come here.
- 18:18Dayna Roselli: Um, you know, say you don't know much about John Wick, but you're like, this sounds pretty cool.
- 18:22SPEAKER_02: Well, first you gotta watch films.
- 18:23SPEAKER_02: No, I'm just kidding.
- 18:24SPEAKER_02: You can go through, and that's when we design these attractions, that's very important to design something for everybody.
- 18:29SPEAKER_02: So if you haven't seen the movies, it's still exciting and you don't it doesn't lose you.
- 18:32SPEAKER_02: And that's something we do with every single one of our experiences.
- 18:35SPEAKER_02: You know, like the Saw Experience, you don't have to see the film to understand that Jigsaw is coming after, and you have to escape.
- 18:40SPEAKER_02: You know, the same thing we do here, you know, we make it very simple that there's a bounty on your head and you have to escape the hotel and you have to get traverse through the all these different fun scenes in order to do that, and then you find safe haven at the end.
- 18:51SPEAKER_02: So that's really important because we don't, you know, like I said, not everyone has seen the John Wick films.
- 18:56SPEAKER_02: A lot of people have, don't get me wrong.
- 18:57SPEAKER_02: I mean, their box office numbers are incredible, but uh that is really, really important that you make something for everybody.
- 19:02SPEAKER_02: And that's my entire career in Las Vegas, that's what we've done.
- 19:06SPEAKER_02: You know, even whether it be Halloween, I've never gone crazy with it and done so much extreme stuff that, you know, 99% of the audience doesn't want to go because we're doing something stupid like bagging your head and shocking you and stuff like that, right?
- 19:18SPEAKER_02: But that just cuts out my own audience.
- 19:19SPEAKER_02: I want something that's gonna be fun for everyone, and that is so important to us.
- 19:23SPEAKER_02: You know, I want the moms, the dads, the grandparents, you know, the kids.
- 19:27SPEAKER_02: I mean, we recommend this one for 16 and above, but we want you to be able to experience and have fun with it.
- 19:31SPEAKER_02: So you know, that's something we did.
- 19:33SPEAKER_02: You know, my my design sometimes, you know, a lot of these come from a Denny's on a cocktail napkin, and then we go into full 3D renderings.
- 19:39SPEAKER_02: I mean, the design and development process of this one was months long going back and forth with everybody and getting everyone's input so we could develop the perfect Las Vegas Continental.
- 19:48Dayna Roselli: Well, and I feel like like you said, you've been doing this a long time, and uh everything you put together is always interactive, and but even more so as the years have gone on, this type of experience is getting more and more popular.
- 19:58Dayna Roselli: So it's almost like you knew all along.
- 20:01SPEAKER_02: Well, and and not to, you know, not to bring up a bad subject like COVID, but COVID changed a lot of stuff for us because it separated everybody for so long.
- 20:09SPEAKER_02: And now what we've noticed is everybody wants to do these experiences together, in a room together.
- 20:14SPEAKER_02: Put your phone down, put it in your pocket, and interact with each other and interact with our actors, and that's so much fun.
- 20:20SPEAKER_02: You know, I'm not a big fan of you know the experiences separate you and stuff.
- 20:24SPEAKER_02: You know, they want to do this together.
- 20:25SPEAKER_02: So, like I said, you can bring a group of up to 10 people and experience this together.
- 20:29SPEAKER_02: There's so many different levels of tickets.
- 20:30SPEAKER_02: There's general mission.
- 20:31SPEAKER_02: You could be teamed up with another group, you could buy a VIP package and just your group and your group only, and you can come into the Continental free and just experience our Continental bar as well, too, and our retail shop.
- 20:41SPEAKER_02: So there's so many fun things to do, and uh, you know, that's what's important to us is you know, again, making something for everybody, or at least most everybody.
- 20:49SPEAKER_02: But that's that's something that's always on my radar.
- 20:51SPEAKER_02: And that's the same thing with, like I said, with the Bright Dome.
- 20:53SPEAKER_02: You know, I didn't want to go too extreme.
- 20:55SPEAKER_02: I wanted everybody to come down and enjoy it too.
- 20:58Dayna Roselli: Great to see Jason again.
- 20:59Dayna Roselli: He has Sean and I have been in news media for a very long time here in Las Vegas.
- 21:03Dayna Roselli: He's been on both of our shows many, many times.
- 21:05Sean McAllister: Many, many, many, many times through the years, right?
- 21:08Dayna Roselli: Um, he does good stuff over there, and um, we plan to go over and go through it.
- 21:13Dayna Roselli: We did the interviews this morning, but and we got to see a couple of the rooms.
- 21:16Dayna Roselli: So looking forward to that.
- 21:17Dayna Roselli: Hey, quick reminder, by the way, um Area 15's always doing really cool stuff and adding new attractions.
- 21:23Dayna Roselli: So we'll have um an interview with Area 15 soon as well.
- 21:28Dayna Roselli: Also, uh, if you watch our television show that we'll post eventually, we have more interviews with Lionsgate and Area 15.
- 21:35Dayna Roselli: And, you know, we get so much stuff, it's hard to spread it around.
- 21:39Sean McAllister: Well, the moral of the story, you need to listen to the Vegas Revealed audio podcast and then watch the TV show because there's stuff that doesn't make it into both.
- 21:48Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 21:49Dayna Roselli: Hey, and by the way, uh, thanks to our sponsor, Vegas Near Me, it's a great app that you should download.
- 21:54Dayna Roselli: It's free.
- 21:55Dayna Roselli: Throw in your you don't have to even throw in your email or your phone number, anything.
- 21:59Dayna Roselli: You just download it.
- 22:00Dayna Roselli: And start using it on your phone.
- 22:01Dayna Roselli: I went in already.
- 22:02Dayna Roselli: They're they're all set.
- 22:03Dayna Roselli: John Wick experience is in there.
- 22:05Dayna Roselli: You can book tickets right in the app.
- 22:07Dayna Roselli: It is so cool.
- 22:08Dayna Roselli: It shows you events that are happening and then it'll say like when they're happening, if they're like in progress.
- 22:13Dayna Roselli: There's places that you can have dinner nearby.
- 22:16Dayna Roselli: You can book an Uber, book a show, all of it.
- 22:18Dayna Roselli: So Vegas Near Me is an app you can get in Google Play or on your iPhone right there in the app store.
- 22:25Sean McAllister: All right, let's get to our tips.
- 22:30Sean McAllister: All right, Dana.
- 22:31Sean McAllister: Starting off tips this week, at the top of the show, we mentioned it's already pool season here in Las Vegas.
- 22:38Sean McAllister: Uh, and what comes with pool season are a lot of these poolside movie series.
- 22:44Sean McAllister: And Fountain Blue is getting in on this once again this year with their Oasis Cinema series, which is starting on May 2nd.
- 22:53Sean McAllister: And the reason that we're bringing this up is because it is open to non-hotel guests.
- 22:59Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 22:59Dayna Roselli: And that's exciting for folks that are here and want to go out there and see maybe they're staying somewhere else, but they want to see the Fountain Blue pool deck.
- 23:07Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 23:07Dayna Roselli: They want to experience something.
- 23:09Dayna Roselli: And a lot of times, you know, like the pools at different hotels are usually just for hotel guests.
- 23:15Dayna Roselli: But this is different.
- 23:16Dayna Roselli: Admission is 10 bucks for non-hotel guests, and it's also waived for Fountain Blue Rewards members and, of course, hotel guests with a valid room key.
- 23:26Dayna Roselli: So, I mean, even if you are a Fountain Blue Rewards member, you know, you could get in as well.
- 23:31Dayna Roselli: Um, so and locals can go.
- 23:33Dayna Roselli: It's a great thing.
- 23:33Dayna Roselli: It's called the the Oasis Cinema Club.
- 23:36Dayna Roselli: They have a full rundown of movies uh starting in May and going all through the summer.
- 23:41Dayna Roselli: They have like elevated, you know, food there, kind of movie type foods, and it just looks like a blast.
- 23:47Dayna Roselli: We haven't been yet, and it's our goal to go this summer.
- 23:50Dayna Roselli: Um, and you can go to fountainblue lasvegas.com backslash oasis dash cinema dash club to get all the movie rundown info and see which one you want to go to.
- 24:01Sean McAllister: But we have been to the pool complex over there at Fountain Blue, and I mean it is a sprawling pool deck.
- 24:09Sean McAllister: So there's plenty of room if you want to go out there for these uh Oasis Cinema showings.
- 24:16Sean McAllister: And for 10 bucks, I mean that's a pretty darn good ticket price.
- 24:18Dayna Roselli: It is, and they have like a lot of the family classics, some comedies, some blockbusters.
- 24:23Dayna Roselli: Um, so it it they have a good like variety, so something will be a fit for you, and then they have those elevated, you know, movie concession classics too.
- 24:31Dayna Roselli: They can get food, you can get a cabana, you can get all sorts of stuff.
- 24:35Dayna Roselli: I think you can swim too, you know, so you can dip your feet in, swim.
- 24:39Sean McAllister: If you're out at the pool, you may as well.
- 24:41Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 24:41Sean McAllister: Hey, uh, one other thing we wanted to let you know about and tips, it's something that we were like, wait a second, did we talk about it on the audio podcast or not?
- 24:50Dayna Roselli: I think it was in the I know it was in the midst of everything that was going on with my my personal life and situation and family emergency.
- 24:56Dayna Roselli: And I think you had I couldn't make this.
- 24:59Dayna Roselli: It was opening night for the Chippendales.
- 25:01Dayna Roselli: Um, and then you went, uh, took one for the team and went to the show over at the Link because the Chippendales officially moved from the Rio to the Link, and they had been at the Rio for so long.
- 25:13Dayna Roselli: So it's a really big deal.
- 25:15Dayna Roselli: They're now on the strip with this new show.
- 25:18Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's the same show, but a new show, which you're gonna explain in a minute.
- 25:21Dayna Roselli: But you know, the Chippendales are just so iconic.
- 25:23Dayna Roselli: Say what you will.
- 25:24Dayna Roselli: People come in for bachelorette parties, and this is the go-to.
- 25:29Sean McAllister: It is, I mean, it's almost worth going to the show for the people watching alone.
- 25:34Sean McAllister: Yeah, I mean, obviously the guys up on stage know what they're doing and know how to get the crowd into it.
- 25:39Sean McAllister: Yeah, but the audience reactions are just priceless.
- 25:44Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 25:44Dayna Roselli: It's my favorite male review because I've been to them all.
- 25:49Dayna Roselli: Um, but what yeah, it's great.
- 25:51Dayna Roselli: So you were showing me some video because we're putting it in the the TV show.
- 25:55Dayna Roselli: Um, and it looked like the the light, I mean, uh the staging looks really good.
- 25:59Sean McAllister: Yeah, so uh Chip and Dales are now performing inside of the Matt Franco Theater over uh at the Link Hotel and Casino.
- 26:06Sean McAllister: And as part of that, you know, that theater has undergone a big renovation.
- 26:11Sean McAllister: So it's got state of the art, you know, the the LED wall in the back of the stage and lights and all that kind of stuff.
- 26:18Sean McAllister: So the the visuals for the show are definitely a huge upgrade.
- 26:25Sean McAllister: The showroom, it's got nice comfy seats, yeah, too, which I that's important, which I kind of like.
- 26:30Sean McAllister: Right, right.
- 26:32Sean McAllister: Um, so the the venue itself definitely lends itself to the Chippendale show.
- 26:38Sean McAllister: They get off the stage, they work the room, they work the room, so I want to make sure.
- 26:41Dayna Roselli: Oh, they walk by, you can still like touch the oiled body and stuff.
- 26:45Sean McAllister: You absolutely can.
- 26:47Dayna Roselli: Okay, good.
- 26:48Sean McAllister: And they may come over and do a personalized dance for you if you're lucky.
- 26:52Sean McAllister: And the shirts, the you know, they still rip them off, throw those out to the audience, people clamor for those.
- 26:59Sean McAllister: Um, so it's a good venue for the guys to to be over there.
- 27:03Sean McAllister: The one thing that they don't have at this theater though is you know how over at the Rio they had the flirt lounge, right?
- 27:10Sean McAllister: Uh which was right outside of the theater.
- 27:12Sean McAllister: It was a nice little bar area.
- 27:13Sean McAllister: They don't have uh a lounge outside of this theater, um, which I thought was a great part over at the Rio.
- 27:22Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 27:23Dayna Roselli: But especially for this type of thing.
- 27:25Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 27:26Dayna Roselli: It's a great like warm-up.
- 27:27Sean McAllister: Exactly.
- 27:28Dayna Roselli: Or and then and wind down and cool off.
- 27:31Sean McAllister: That's like a cool off, fan yourself.
- 27:34Dayna Roselli: Um, yeah, and more and more, you know what I mean?
- 27:36Dayna Roselli: Like, you know, women go to the shows, guys go to the shows, people bring their moms and grandmas.
- 27:41Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's a great show.
- 27:43Dayna Roselli: Um, but yeah, the lounge, that's interesting.
- 27:46Dayna Roselli: So I wonder, I mean, I guess you can make use of some of the lounges on the bottom floor before you go up the escalator.
- 27:51Dayna Roselli: Um, how do you get drinks at the Matt Franco Theater?
- 27:55Dayna Roselli: Does a waitress come around or how does that work?
- 27:57Sean McAllister: There was there a bar inside.
- 28:01Sean McAllister: There was a bar inside.
- 28:02Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 28:03Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 28:04Sean McAllister: And I there were waitresses, I believe, as well.
- 28:09Dayna Roselli: Yeah, probably.
- 28:10Dayna Roselli: Waiters and waitresses.
- 28:11Sean McAllister: Um I feel like that was one a that was a random night when I wasn't drinking, I think.
- 28:15Dayna Roselli: Wow.
- 28:16Dayna Roselli: What I was like, how do you not know where the bar is?
- 28:18Dayna Roselli: I'm sitting here waiting.
- 28:20Sean McAllister: The first thing that I look at.
- 28:21Dayna Roselli: I was shocked.
- 28:24Sean McAllister: But it was great.
- 28:26Sean McAllister: The um the cast of Chippendales, there's a lot of new faces, some fresh young faces.
- 28:32Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 28:34Sean McAllister: We've known a lot of cast members over the years.
- 28:37Sean McAllister: Um, and there's some new guys in there.
- 28:39Sean McAllister: Right.
- 28:40Dayna Roselli: Okay, good.
- 28:41Dayna Roselli: Well, listen, I went to the show uh last year, so I'm familiar with some of the newer cast members?
- 28:49Dayna Roselli: Is that what you'd call it?
- 28:50Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 28:51Dayna Roselli: Um, and I had a favorite way back, John House, and he's a friend of mine.
- 28:55Dayna Roselli: I love John in the show, one of my faves.
- 28:58Dayna Roselli: He's not in it anymore, but I have a new favorite.
- 29:00Dayna Roselli: I went and found him on Instagram.
- 29:02Dayna Roselli: I mean, he is excellent in Chippendale.
- 29:05Dayna Roselli: So he was there, and you said he has now been upgraded to the shower scene.
- 29:11Sean McAllister: He does the shower scene.
- 29:13Sean McAllister: Yes, he does.
- 29:14Dayna Roselli: Um, you have video of that you showed me, but I need to go see that in person.
- 29:18Dayna Roselli: Because they sent us some some interviews, and here he is.
- 29:21SPEAKER_00: I think it's like easier for people to come to the theater because they're already like, you know, the center of the strip.
- 29:26SPEAKER_00: It's just easier to come.
- 29:28SPEAKER_00: The girls are like coming already like to see a show, so they don't have to get in the Ticketmaster or something like that.
- 29:33SPEAKER_00: So, like, you know what?
- 29:33SPEAKER_00: Let's go see a show.
- 29:34SPEAKER_00: Oh, look at that ticket chip and those, let's go upstairs, and then they come like, whoa, let's go.
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: So I think the rear was a little bit more far outside of the strip, so they have to prepare a little bit more.
- 29:43SPEAKER_00: You know, we're gonna go here.
- 29:44SPEAKER_00: Here is like spontaneous, too.
- 29:46SPEAKER_00: Let's go.
- 29:47SPEAKER_00: We go with the girls and have a good time with Chippendales.
- 29:49Sean McAllister: And Dana, in that uh video that I sent to you, uh, it's not for broadcast anywhere.
- 29:55Sean McAllister: This was just a personal thing.
- 29:57Dayna Roselli: I mean, even if we tried to put that on social media, we'd probably get banned.
- 29:59Sean McAllister: Yeah, we'd get banned, yeah.
- 30:01Sean McAllister: We'd get shut down.
- 30:02Sean McAllister: Are you looking at it right now?
- 30:03Dayna Roselli: No, I'm actually looking up the Chippendales uh show times as we prepare to tell people to wrap up.
- 30:11Dayna Roselli: To wrap up, yeah.
- 30:12Dayna Roselli: Um, yeah, because I, you know, that video is just great.
- 30:17Dayna Roselli: Um listen, the show is every night.
- 30:21Dayna Roselli: Um, I'm looking at the Vegas Near Me app besides Mondays.
- 30:25Dayna Roselli: So FYI, and it's clocked in at an hour and 15 minutes, according to Vegas Near Me.
- 30:30Dayna Roselli: So it's worth a look.
- 30:33Sean McAllister: It is.
- 30:33Dayna Roselli: Yeah, maybe when you're there, I'll be there.
- 30:35Dayna Roselli: There you go.
- 30:36Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 30:37Dayna Roselli: I mean, because you know, everyone wants to hang out and watch the Chip and Dales with me, but whatever.
- 30:42Dayna Roselli: Um, good show, lots of stuff going on.
- 30:44Dayna Roselli: Uh, I think that's a wrap.
- 30:45Sean McAllister: That is a wrap for this week.
- 30:47Sean McAllister: We will be back next week with episode 262 of Vegas Revealed here on your favorite podcast platform.
- 30:55Dayna Roselli: Have a good week.
