- 0:27Hey, everybody. Good morning from the chicken
- 0:29coop. So let's talk about doing things
- 0:32differently. You know, remember Apple had a
- 0:35whole thing based on doing things differently and that was
- 0:39their breakout time when they just decided we're going to be
- 0:42different, we're going to do things differently.
- 0:44Well, sometimes, most of the time, human beings love to do
- 0:48the same things over and over and over.
- 0:50We don't do a good job shifting ourselves.
- 0:53We don't do a good job with change, and we kind of get stuck
- 0:56in that. We kind of have a challenge when
- 0:58it comes to shifting and changing because we look so much
- 1:01for certainty and we look so much for the world that we know.
- 1:05We're always looking for the world that we know, but in order
- 1:09to create the life you truly want, it always requires dealing
- 1:14with change. I mean, change is never ending.
- 1:16It's the greatest lesson that the farm teaches me is that
- 1:20nothing is ever the same. Everyday is different.
- 1:23There's always something and you just have to let go and learn
- 1:26from it. You have to experience it.
- 1:28You have to change your mind around shifting the the world
- 1:33outside shifts constantly and you have to shift your mind
- 1:35around it as well. And which brought me to the
- 1:39conclusion of saying, OK, we need to talk about this whole
- 1:42thing about being different this year.
- 1:44How do you want to be different this year?
- 1:46How do you want your business to be different this year?
- 1:48How do you want to show up for yourself differently this year?
- 1:53Where are those pockets of things that you know you you
- 1:58would love to incorporate, you would love to be different, and
- 2:01then start to lay out situational plans or ideas or
- 2:05focuses that will help you do that.
- 2:08So you guys may have heard me talk about this new little app
- 2:12headway that I love so much. And no, I'm not getting paid for
- 2:15promoting it. I just love it.
- 2:16So I'm talking about it. But this little, this little
- 2:19app, and there are many of them out there that do these
- 2:21summaries, books, but I'm always, my identity is always
- 2:26that of a learner and I really wanted to incorporate more
- 2:30learning this year. So headway was a way that I'm
- 2:33doing it. Also, you know, I had said last
- 2:35year that I really wanted to do more cooking and I did probably
- 2:40no cooking because that was one of my mid range goals.
- 2:44I'm like I don't know about this, I'm just not really great
- 2:47at it. So I actually this year had
- 2:50rated it much higher because I'm using it as a way to talk and
- 2:54connect to my husband because my husband's the one that cooks, my
- 2:57husband is outstanding chef and why?
- 3:01Why should I mess with what's good?
- 3:03He just I say something, he makes it.
- 3:05It's it's awesome. So I figured, OK, this is a
- 3:09great way for me to tie two things together.
- 3:11If I want to spend time with him, that's good, valuable time
- 3:15where we can have fun and connect, Maybe I should enter
- 3:19into that part of his world. So I said to him, I would like
- 3:23us to cook one meal a week together, putting myself outside
- 3:28my comfort zone of knowing that and I and this was the key to my
- 3:31fun thing, I'm doing something differently here.
- 3:33I don't want to be the person that figures it out.
- 3:36I just want you to tell me what to do.
- 3:38And he was like, what Are you sure you want me to tell you?
- 3:42And I was like, yeah, yeah, I just want to be the sous chef.
- 3:45I don't want to be the chef. I want to be the sous chef.
- 3:47You tell me to do something, I'll do it.
- 3:49I just want to do this to spend time with you.
- 3:52And I watched how much it touched him.
- 3:55And we're starting. In fact, it's funny because
- 3:59we're starting that process this week.
- 4:02Now that I am physically feeling better and it's like, I'm
- 4:06excited about it. I'm actually excited about it
- 4:08because I decided to do things differently.
- 4:11I decided to do me differently. I decided to not be afraid of
- 4:14the kitchen. I can bake certain things and I
- 4:18can make great pancakes and I can.
- 4:21I can make killer pancakes. But other things are just not
- 4:25have never been my Forte. I grow stuff I and and then he
- 4:28turns it into awesome stuff. But I really am committed to
- 4:31doing some different things and doing me differently and doing
- 4:35my mind around this differently. My mindset, my thoughts, my
- 4:39emotions, everything. So what are you committed this
- 4:43year to doing differently? What do you want to do for your
- 4:45business differently? You know, I my, I added
- 4:49something for my private clients this year as a surprise, and I'm
- 4:53doing something for them every month on a call.
- 4:55I've not done that before and I was just like, OK, I'm committed
- 4:58asking myself what what can I do differently?
- 5:00How can I do this all differently?
- 5:02And that just the mere fact that you're asking the question will
- 5:07shift something. So get out there.
- 5:09Ask yourself that question and you'll be surprised at what you
- 5:13come up with. All right, my friends, I hope
- 5:15you have a blessed day and I will see you all tomorrow.
- 5:18Bye.
