- 0:11[SPEAKER_05]: Wow.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_03]: I'm ready.
- 0:15[SPEAKER_03]: It's okay.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_06]: I gotta be honest.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you should never lie.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_06]: I'm ready for the fall season.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_02]: You ready for the fall season?
- 0:25[SPEAKER_06]: There's something switch from yesterday to today.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, yeah, it's like it's super gloomy.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_02]: You're always the one that says we're nagging and talking about that.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_06]: No, no, I just want to say it's nobody wants to hear about the weather.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_06]: That's actually the worst small talk people have.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_02]: I don't agree with that because I actually love talking about the weather.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, but it's like everybody loves to talk about the weather.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, because if the one says you're like, and also to that's the only thing that you have on common would a total stranger.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_06]: Not having a comment.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_06]: It's like, we can both talk about how we feel about the sun today.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_02]: I know it's a beautiful day out or like, oh, it's, you know, so rainy.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, you know, so it's like getting caught in in the weather talk.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_06]: And I feel so cringe.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_06]: And I'm doing the thing.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_02]: Nah.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_02]: I love to hear because it's so real.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_02]: No, I always feel weird about it because it's actually here.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_02]: No, because you're outside.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_02]: You're not on the car.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_06]: I catch myself some time when I'm having that talk, the weather talk.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_06]: And after I'm done saying something about the weather like me, and like last week, it was so cold, like, oh, did you get caught in the rain yesterday?
- 1:34[SPEAKER_06]: Or earlier, it was crazy.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_06]: And then as I'm saying these things to this total stranger, right?
- 1:39[SPEAKER_05]: In my head, I'm like, oh, Johnny, I can't believe you said that you just just walk away.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_02]: I think there are worse things than to be like, don't talk about the weather.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_05]: But the funny thing is, they're probably the same thing and we're both doing it.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think about it at all when I'm talking about the weather too, like a stranger or even it's anyone.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I'm talking about the weather because the weather just impacts me so much.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_02]: Think about it.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_05]: I don't like it that much to be honest.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_05]: I can't acknowledge it, but we're not going to talk about it.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, all we talked about is enough.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_02]: We gave it two minutes worth of airtime.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_02]: And here we are, you guys.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome back to the Worcestershire podcast.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_02]: I am one of your host, Alia Zaitan.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, this is your first time listening.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_02]: I'm here with my lovely husband if you didn't know.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_06]: Why, tell the people why you say it that way.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_02]: What?
- 2:26[SPEAKER_06]: Why did you um, announce you it, announce you it.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_02]: Well, no, because I don't know why for some reason every time I say like that I'm married or that I call you my husband, there's always somebody that's surprised.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_02]: And there was always somebody that's like, what?
- 2:39[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't know you guys are married.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_06]: And that, but then there's also another reason.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_02]: What's the other reason?
- 2:43[SPEAKER_06]: That people keep saying that Alia will call me anything but her husband.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know where that's coming from.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_02]: I call Yoni by his name because he is Yoni.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_06]: And also most of you know who Yoni is.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_02]: Well, also how many times I'm gonna say my husband, like, here's my thing.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_02]: Do you want to introduce yourself?
- 3:02[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, her husband's name is Yoni Kodo and he happens to be your favorite host.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, yeah, the reason why this is like a thing, I guess, is because in my opinion, right?
- 3:15[SPEAKER_02]: Let's say you're meaning so on for the first time.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_02]: Perfect example is when we're both like at a social gathering of some sort and I were both like mingling in different corners of the room so we're not together and then at one point you know like the the topic comes up where you say something like oh yeah my husband and I went to Japan and it was lovely and blah blah blah you're telling a story or you're talking about something or you say like my husband and I went to New York two years ago whatever it is
- 3:45[SPEAKER_02]: I see my husband and I, like, or I say my husband, maybe like,
- 3:51[SPEAKER_02]: tops five times, and then I'll say like, Yoni, my husband.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_02]: And once I say Yoni, and I basically say like my husband's name is Yoni from then on, I will call him Yoni.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_02]: I will not call him my husband.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_02]: It's such a, like, it makes so much sense to me.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_02]: The same way it's like, it would be, I mentioned like a friend many times.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_02]: I'll say like, oh, yeah, my friend is my friend then.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_02]: Let's say like, I keep telling the story, except I don't have a friend that I would like,
- 4:20[SPEAKER_02]: It's not as consistent.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_02]: My husband is like, we live together.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_02]: We spend so much time together.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_02]: So there's so much, there's so many times I need to mention you when it comes to a story.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_02]: And I just feel like to say my husband is time is like, I'm gonna, like, you're a person on your own.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm just gonna say, Yoni, my husband, and then call you Yoni.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_02]: It's almost like, I don't know how to explain it.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I feel the same way with saying my wife.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_06]: It's sometimes when I do, saying my wife multiple times, it feels like you just want to say you have wife.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, and there's nothing wrong with that because I do.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_02]: But it's also like, okay, but what's her name though?
- 4:58[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_02]: That's how I would feel someone keep saying, my boyfriend or something.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_02]: And they just say, my boyfriend, I've ever heard like, so what's what's their name?
- 5:04[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_06]: You have to say it or a name.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I feel like it's not, especially if you know what their name is, don't keep saying.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, of course they know what their name is.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_06]: No, but I only, I only, for example, by anything online, I always say Alia because they know on my YouTube channel, say Alia, I don't know all online.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, online, I say Yoni also because like, I don't know.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_02]: I think
- 5:30[SPEAKER_06]: But outside, like when I meet a stranger, I'm gonna say, my wife, I said I should maybe once or twice.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_06]: And then I say, I'll ya.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_06]: That's it.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_06]: Like I can't go like this, right?
- 5:45[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, my wife and I went to Japan and it was amazing.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_06]: And then my wife went to a restaurant.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_06]: And then, I don't know.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_06]: I'm trying to like, no, I know what you mean.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_06]: But then, like, you can't say my wife each time.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_02]: So the exact, it becomes like this happened when I was on the train from Lisbon to South of Portugal to go to my retreat.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_02]: So I was on the train by myself and I ended up sitting next to one of the girls that was going to the culinary retreat with me.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_02]: And I recognize her from the email list, everybody's like profile a little bubble thing.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_02]: And I was like, oh, are we going to the retreat?
- 6:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, whatever.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_02]: And then we end up like talking for the entire train ride for like an hour.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_02]: And it's funny because you met her at one of the wine bar.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_02]: The Madison, the girl that came later with the short hair.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_06]: All right.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_02]: Anyways.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_02]: So.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_02]: So I like, she has a boyfriend, and then we were just talking about different things in our life, et cetera.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_02]: And she kept saying, like, my boyfriend, my boyfriend, my boyfriend, my boyfriend.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_02]: And after a while, it just seemed interesting that she never said her name.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_02]: You know, and then I was like, what's your boyfriend's name?
- 7:01[SPEAKER_02]: And then she said, I can't remember what his name is.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_02]: But then she was like, actually, yeah, I don't know why, like, I keep saying my boyfriend, like, could just tell you what his name is.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_02]: And then it's just interesting to the way people do that.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_06]: Or maybe she's in a new relationship.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_02]: No, they've been seeing it for like a year or something.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_06]: No, okay.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_02]: But I don't know.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_02]: I just find that interesting.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_02]: I do find it interesting if somebody says, like, it's weird to say to use one of these terms, like, my husband, my wife, my boyfriend, my girlfriend, whatever, to somebody that you, like, they know who they are.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I would never say my husband to someone who knows you.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_01]: There's... I've... No.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_06]: People don't do that.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_06]: Today, we have a special episode for you guys, and this is something that I've been looking forward to.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_06]: For a long time.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_02]: We haven't done a Q&A in a minute.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_06]: In a minute, I feel like the whole last... This isn't we haven't done one obviously, but in a season three also, I don't think we did one.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_02]: No, I think we definitely did one in season three.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_06]: It might have been like early season three.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but also then we just did it one time.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_02]: So we're doing a Q&A.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_02]: We have lots of questions for me, guys.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_02]: We have a lot.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_06]: We have to break this shit down in two episodes.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_02]: So we're going to do part one, which is this on the audio episode.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_02]: And then part two is going to be on Patreon.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_02]: So we didn't pick and choose which question go on what?
- 8:25[SPEAKER_02]: There's so many questions.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_02]: So we're going to stop like, I don't know halfway through the questions.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know if we're going to get through all them because there's a lot.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_02]: We can try to go really fast.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_06]: It depends also on how much we talk about each thing.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_06]: So I would say, what you selected right there, that is all of them.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, wait, let me select to see how many we have, right?
- 8:46[SPEAKER_02]: Like if I select all the way down, we have a hundred and seventeen.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, hundred and seven.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_02]: So should I select fifty right now and put them like in a folder?
- 8:55[SPEAKER_06]: A hundred and seventeen and then on my phone, what I got, hundred and seventy.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_06]: So we basically have a hundred and thirty.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, I'm going to select fifty.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, just select fifty questions.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_02]: And then like put them in a separate thing, just real, just real.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, we're aiming for fifty questions today.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_06]: Let watch us do like seven and just talk the whole time.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_05]: Well, like elaborate on each question.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm not like this one to know this is the last one I added.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_06]: Are you making like a separate folder?
- 9:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I made a separate folder.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, probably should have done that before we started recording.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_02]: It's okay.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_02]: It's okay.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_02]: It's okay.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_02]: This is live on air right now.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_02]: So do you want to read these or do I do I read these?
- 9:35[SPEAKER_02]: You use you start and then we'll switch.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_02]: They might be repetitive.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to the top right Q and A. I don't think it matters like which question you start with.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_06]: Question number one, do you think you live in New York a long time?
- 9:48[SPEAKER_06]: And why?
- 9:49[SPEAKER_06]: Do you think you live in New York a long time?
- 9:53[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, okay.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_05]: That's what she said.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, okay.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I'm not making fun of you guys or anybody because I know not everybody speaks English at the first language.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_02]: So the question is, do you think you're going to live in New York for a long time?
- 10:05[SPEAKER_02]: And why?
- 10:06[SPEAKER_06]: And why?
- 10:08[SPEAKER_06]: So, I want to go first.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, you go.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_06]: And actually, let's keep in mind, let's go fast.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, you go.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_06]: I think we're living New York for a long time.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe that's basically, like, like, like, ten more years.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_06]: Like ten more years, right?
- 10:21[SPEAKER_06]: And I don't think it may not be New York City.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_06]: I see us living in like New Jersey.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_06]: Like Jersey City.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_06]: Jersey City.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_06]: I almost said Jersey City.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_06]: My bad.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I was going out.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_06]: So I want to explore that area a little bit because I feel like it's it's actually there's a list that came out just a couple days ago.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_00]: Uh-huh.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_06]: Best states or cities to live in America and it's just states or cities.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_06]: I can't I can't remember is one of the two.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_01]: You said it to me.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_01]: It states.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, it states.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_01]: But New Jersey was like number three.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_06]: Was number three.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_06]: You saw that?
- 11:02[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_06]: Why didn't you say anything?
- 11:04[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, you sent it to me like late at night.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, it's just number three.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_06]: And then you have like Massachusetts and then like Idaho, like Boise or like, uh, Idaho, something like that.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_06]: So yeah, New Jersey is up there.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_06]: Don't stop on New Jersey.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_06]: And why I think we'll live in this area.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_02]: We love the East Coast.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, we love the East Coast.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_02]: And we love the Northeast.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_06]: And we love the Northeast.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, like I wouldn't live in like lower East Coast.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_02]: Like Florida, like Virginia, like I can't do anything.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, no, I love Florida.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_06]: Florida is beautiful.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_06]: You've never meant to Florida, but I love Florida, like driving nine to highway, like palm trees.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like it's in my place.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_02]: Like I will visit, but I don't know if I want to see it.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_02]: It's amazing.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_06]: Like Florida is I like Florida.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_06]: And then I don't mind the West Coast, like LA palm trees.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_06]: I can do either one.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm good.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_06]: You're so, um, it's okay.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_06]: So what do you think?
- 12:04[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so I kind of feel the same way I would say if you go back a few.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, like six months ago or something and we have an episode we're talking about.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_02]: I have definitely on the podcast that before, how I'm like, oh, New York forever and game.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_02]: And it's because like, I do feel like I'd have to defend New York a lot, just in general life as a choice to live here, even just now.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_02]: And then the question always bothers me where people are just like, so where is next?
- 12:37[SPEAKER_02]: Like, where are you gonna go next?
- 12:40[SPEAKER_02]: And I just something about that irks me the wrong way.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even think you can be irked the right way.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, it just bothers me for some reason that the assumption is that like you're only here temporarily and something about that makes me want to make it work even more.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_06]: One thing about Alia, if you tell her she, if you doubt her, she will show you.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm definitely the kid that, like, someone tells me I can't do something, I will do it.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_06]: And then why do you think you want to be here longer?
- 13:09[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I definitely, I mean, I love living in New York.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_02]: Like if, if I had to, I think this is one of the questions, but somebody was like, where else would you live in New York if you were, where else would you live in the US if there were a place, and I'm like, I have nothing.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_06]: New Jersey.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, okay, you can, I haven't been to New Jersey.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_02]: So like, I don't know.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_02]: I know that you can live in Jersey City or like in Hoboken or something.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_02]: And that's super close to New York City.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, that's fine.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, you know, you can get into the city with like the train and stuff.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_02]: But I haven't experienced that to say, I think that's maybe without even going there.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_02]: That's like the next place I would consider.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_02]: in terms of like, you know, taxes and, you know, like, sort of, you know, it could be a little bit cheaper to live there compared to, compared to New York City, obviously.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, like, no place screams to me or says anything to me in any way in the US.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, to me it's either New York City or Jersey City.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_02]: I mean you haven't been, so you don't really know yet.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_06]: I haven't been, but I heard a lot of great things and it seems so, and I always set up because it's so close to New York.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it is so close.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 14:24[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, so we're going to go to the next question.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_06]: When are you going to do an NYC meetup?
- 14:29[SPEAKER_06]: I'm an out of town right here, so please announce early.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_06]: When are we going to do an NYC meetup?
- 14:35[SPEAKER_06]: I think the NYC meetup is going to be very, very fun.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_02]: I think we should do it when we come back like fall time.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_06]: Do you think?
- 14:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, we got to do it.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_06]: We couldn't do it this time because it was a lot going on.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_02]: We did other I don't even forgot that that's something that we wanted to do because we know like since we've done that we meet up like traveling We felt a little bit back because we never done one here, but there's something about like doing one where you lived that feels like
- 15:01[SPEAKER_02]: Like, why are you doing one here?
- 15:02[SPEAKER_06]: No, I don't think so.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_06]: Because we have listeners here.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_06]: Actually, I feel like we have a lot of listeners here.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I guess I have no idea.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I would love to do one.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_06]: Definitely we're going to make it like a fall vibe.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_06]: We'll try to do it before we get real cold.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_06]: But I definitely want to do one.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_06]: I think a good place to meet up would be Central Park.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, somewhere and that'll be so fun.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_02]: Should do it like early October, maybe.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_02]: Like second week of October or something.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_06]: And I just want to connect with the people who are listening to us supporting us and they live here.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_06]: I love doing a you've gotten
- 15:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm not scared of it anymore.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, you're not scared of it anymore.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I was like very timidated by the idea of a meetup before but not anymore.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_06]: So far for WTG, the official meetups we have Lisbon and we have Copenhagen.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_06]: I'm so grateful that we can go to another country and do a meetup there and people actually come.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, sure.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_02]: So we've done one in Japan, but he didn't think anything.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, there's too much going on.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, next time I go to Japan, don't worry, guys, we will do one in a in Japan.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, next question.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_06]: What is your main learning?
- 16:10[SPEAKER_06]: What are your main learning and tips for true confidence?
- 16:15[SPEAKER_06]: What is your journey in that aspect?
- 16:17[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, do you want to answer?
- 16:19[SPEAKER_06]: The way I read it, the way I read it was weird, right?
- 16:23[SPEAKER_06]: What are your main learning and tips for two confidence in what are you in?
- 16:31[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so how are you confident basically?
- 16:34[SPEAKER_02]: Like what did you learn to be confident?
- 16:37[SPEAKER_02]: Do you have any tips and tricks to be confident?
- 16:40[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, you know, sometimes when you read something, you know what they're trying to say, but when they're, when they're read it, when you read it, it wasn't worth it the way you know the questions supposed to be.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no, I get it.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_02]: And also like on Instagram, it's hard to like write because you have a limit amount.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, right.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_06]: That's like tricks me.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_06]: Um, yeah.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_02]: So how are your comments?
- 17:00[SPEAKER_02]: Just answer, how are you confident?
- 17:01[SPEAKER_02]: I think what makes you confident, what do you say?
- 17:04[SPEAKER_02]: What makes me confident?
- 17:05[SPEAKER_06]: What makes me confident?
- 17:08[SPEAKER_06]: Hmm, that's kind of like a simple question, but it's kind of hard then.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, I'm gonna answer.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_02]: I think what makes me just confident is having tried a lot of things and that has helped me realize like what I like and what I don't like because I think in order to be confident you have to have a level of like
- 17:33[SPEAKER_02]: of knowing yourself in a sense like you need to know what you like from like, I don't know, music, to books, to food, to fashion, to like, there shouldn't be question marks around the things that you like and the things that you don't like.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_06]: She said exactly what I wanted to say.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_06]: I feel like I don't know myself.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_06]: I truly know myself.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_06]: When you know yourself, you kind of like, don't, I'm saying something.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_06]: You're saying, you don't question other things really.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_06]: Like, I don't really care too much about like, if I want to wear something, for example, and then someone tells me that they don't like shirts like that, like it does, it does nothing to me.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_02]: It used to for me, but I feel like it goes over my head.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_02]: No, I totally get that.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_02]: And I think it's part of it on a simple level.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_02]: It's like the things that I listed.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_02]: But then there's something to be said about like emotional awareness.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_02]: And kind of like, I think if you work on yourself on an emotional level and a mental level where like you're working on, you know, maybe your patience, maybe your
- 18:47[SPEAKER_02]: work-life balance, you're going to the gym, you're actively bettering yourself in a lot of the aspects that make a person a person, your relationships with your family, your relationships with your friends, learning around these things and knowing yourself.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_02]: I think when you work on yourself, things that you like, it's like that creates a certain level of confidence within a person.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so when you're working on your skills, when you're bettering like overall, bettering yourself on the inside, but then also knowing the things that you like the things that you're into.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_02]: Like if you're meeting someone for the first time, can you confidently talk about, not necessarily like yourself, but in the way yourself.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_06]: But you have to have
- 19:36[SPEAKER_02]: Not in an ego like narcissistic way.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_06]: But you have to have something to say.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_06]: Which means that in your life you have to put in the work to be active in your own life.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that that will exude confidence without you even realizing like, oh, I'm confident.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_06]: Great.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_06]: Next question.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_06]: What do you do to feel less pressure and overwhelmed?
- 20:01[SPEAKER_06]: Love your channel?
- 20:02[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it's funny to see that because early this morning I was feeling pressure and overwhelmed.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, so I think what do I do?
- 20:08[SPEAKER_02]: I kind of need to like almost hit things, but then I don't.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I feel like this question is actually good for you because this is something that I feel like you still need to figure out.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_02]: I am still working on that.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_02]: That's one thing I'm not confident in.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_02]: And it depends.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like because right now we are on the
- 20:27[SPEAKER_02]: where we have a lot going on because we're about to leave for a trip so we're recording a bunch of episodes like we're recording we've been recording for the last like we can have almost every single day and on top of that you know like editing videos and filming videos and then right before we leave for a trip we always just have a lot of things to do so because of that it's kind of like
- 20:50[SPEAKER_02]: Um, an avoidable that I will feel overwhelmed a little bit.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_02]: But on a day to day basis, I think I've gotten a lot better, especially with, you know, taking like things one day at a time.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_06]: No, I agree.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_06]: I think for me, I'm, I'm just naturally not stressed much.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_02]: Which, which causes me stress sometimes.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_06]: Which could be a good or bad thing to value.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_06]: To me, it's a good thing that I don't feel.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_06]: I don't get like, there's pressure, but I don't feel stressed about that pressure.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_06]: And it also just depends, like deadlines for certain things.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_06]: But I don't, I mean, generally just answer the question.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_06]: I've kind of always been pretty chill.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_06]: Even when there is pressure, I'm the one to say, like whatever group I may know, whoever I'm with, I'm like, let's just take a deep breath.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_06]: And let's do think the first step, what we gotta do to attack this, because you can't avoid what you gotta do.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_06]: So I'm always like, let's do first step.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_06]: Then the second step.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_06]: Third, because that's all you can do anyway.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I was going to say I think like the, the, let's do one thing.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_02]: The biggest learning for me, even though I still sometimes like today, I was having a hard time actually applying this.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_02]: I was even telling Yoni that I'm so frustrated and like my mind feels like it's, it's a big tree with a bunch of branches and my attention keeps going to like all the branches and it goes like B, B, B, B, B, B and it can't stop.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, and you didn't even know which branch to hold on to.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_02]: And I felt like I couldn't choose which branch to like my energy to go into and like have it bloom over there for a little bit and then go to another branch.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_06]: I think once the podcast of his out of the way, you'll feel much better.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's also, yeah, it's just like a specific time right now where all the branches need energy.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 22:45[SPEAKER_02]: It just don't have enough.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, next question, how do you deal with guilt from moving away from your family?
- 22:51[SPEAKER_02]: Do you want to answer this?
- 22:56[SPEAKER_02]: Um, especially I think like lately because Yoni's sister, we have two nieces now.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_05]: Yes.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yoni's sister and her partner now have two girls.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_05]: Beautiful girls.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_02]: And we haven't met the baby that's been now born since I think March.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and we haven't gone back to Seattle.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_02]: We were in Seattle.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_02]: No, or me.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, sorry, me.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_02]: The first, the first is in March.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so it hasn't been like that that long, but still we haven't been back in Seattle since January.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_02]: And we're planning on going in the fall for Thanksgiving.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_06]: around how they see.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's just, um, it's a lot of traveling and also Seattle is quite far, but I think you express a certain level of guilt at times when it comes to being away.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, because I, especially with my sister because we're so close, I always wanted our kids, we don't have kids yet, but I wanted
- 23:55[SPEAKER_06]: Whoever's gonna have kids first, I wanted to be the uncle to like pull up to the house.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_06]: Take the kids out to eat, pick them up from school, go to the park with them.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_06]: I wanted to be there, see them grow, and then also just them knowing this is uncle Yoni.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and then I'm also growing up with like their cousins too.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_06]: Exactly.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_06]: So that's something that I'm still like, you know, it's, you know, we're living different, different parts of the country.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_06]: And that's just something that I, who knows, maybe maybe in the future something, maybe we can live closer to each other.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know how or when, but that'll be like, better than being six years.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, six hours apart.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_02]: Six hour flight away.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_06]: Six hours apart.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, yeah.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_06]: No.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, yeah, six hours apart.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, is that a time zone?
- 24:51[SPEAKER_02]: What is that?
- 24:53[SPEAKER_06]: No, no, I'm like this.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's like on the opposite sides of the country.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, so how do I deal with that guilt is I communicated to my sister and I tell her listen?
- 25:03[SPEAKER_02]: It's hard because like what can you do?
- 25:05[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, we'll move here.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_02]: But you keep attached, like you call her.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, exactly.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_06]: One thing I could do better is face time more so the kids just seem more off.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think that that could be a good thing.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_02]: And then also just, I mean, yeah, it's a six hour flight, but I think if we
- 25:20[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe just plan the trips more frequently throughout the year.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe next year we can try to make that a point to go to Seattle.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know like three times.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_02]: And if we book the flights and advance, then there will be a little bit cheaper.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_02]: Even though the flights are weirdly expensive.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_02]: Like a flight to Seattle around Thanksgiving.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_02]: is the same price as I paid to go to Bucharest, like coming up now.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, that's also, that's also a thing.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_06]: But when I first read this question, I was thinking more so moving away from Belgium and moving.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_02]: Well, yeah, because I guess like in your case, your dad is also there too.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_06]: And you know, to be honest, like, there is not much guilt I feel because I know that I'm here for what you're supposed to be here for.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I'm so I'm truly feel like I'm supposed to be here and it's only gonna be better for my career, which which is ultimately is what my dad, my parents, my mom, everybody wants the best for me.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_06]: So even they understand that this is best for me.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_06]: It's not like they're thinking, well, you left us behind.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_06]: They don't make me feel bad.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't say my family makes me feel bad either, but
- 26:35[SPEAKER_02]: And even though they are in Seattle, so you could say even though from here to Belgium is almost like a six hour flight or a little bit more, but either way, I do feel a little bit guilty sometimes, just because my siblings are also in Seattle and they all kind of always hang out together and I'm not there.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_02]: But then at the same time, I would say I, similarly, I don't know, I've gotten used to being away from my family.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if that sounds like bad, but I just, I've gotten used to it.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_02]: I was away from my family, like almost half of my life.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_02]: where I was doing my own thing.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_02]: They were like at the ballet school or like living here or you know.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_02]: I just kind of have become a little dis sensitized from that I guess.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_02]: And not that my family's not important to me.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_02]: But I also think that that something in me is like this is not that big of a deal.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_02]: But then I will probably feel differently.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_02]: You know, once we have kids of our own and they, you know, don't spend a lot of time with like
- 27:42[SPEAKER_02]: My siblings, so they're in an uncle or my parents, they're grandparents.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, things how we feel might change.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_02]: The guilt might get harder.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_06]: When I left Belgium, I remember just thinking, I didn't have any guilt at all.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_06]: I was so excited to leave actually.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_02]: It was different.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, we were younger.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_06]: But also too, just like my ambition to be away and achieve something new and challenge myself was greater than, oh, I'm gonna miss mom and dad.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_06]: Like I never had that from day one.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, next question.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_06]: I'm twenty five.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_06]: Should I focus on my career or travel?
- 28:14[SPEAKER_06]: I've never left a US.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_02]: You should want to understand the US and who says you can't focus on both?
- 28:20[SPEAKER_02]: You can focus your career and travel.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_06]: How would someone do that?
- 28:25[SPEAKER_02]: What do you mean?
- 28:26[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I don't know what their career is, but like,
- 28:29[SPEAKER_06]: Well, if you didn't start your career yet and you have some money saved up, I would definitely encourage traveling and leaving the country because you'll just learn so much by just seeing different cultures.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_02]: I just think if there's a will, there's always a way.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_02]: Like if you want to travel and you really should like go to a different country.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_06]: I think you should travel before focusing on your career because if you focus on your career, well, when are you going to travel?
- 28:53[SPEAKER_02]: But also why are we acting like traveling is such a big, I just think like traveling for, you know, a week,
- 29:00[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I don't know if she's talking about like, or he's talking about traveling like long term.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I don't know, but that's what I'm saying where I don't think it needs to be the extreme of like either traveling and I'm living a nomadic lifestyle where I don't have a home and I just like travel here and here and here for like three months.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't have to be that way.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't have to be such a big commitment the same way.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like if you want to focus on your career, it also doesn't have to be that and you never leave the country.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 29:30[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_02]: Like I have friends who are young in their twenties and
- 29:37[SPEAKER_02]: You focus on your career, but then you also find the time to travel.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe instead of taking a vacation for a week to be somewhere in the US, you buy a plane ticket and you go somewhere outside of it.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_02]: That's the same thing.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_02]: And that doesn't take away from you focusing on your career.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_02]: You need to take time off at some point.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, you have to.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_02]: You have to.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_06]: That's a good point.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_06]: Recommendations for managing binge watching and doing scrolling.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_02]: You know...
- 30:10[SPEAKER_02]: It gets us all like doom scrolling.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_06]: Even if you set your settings to have like a daily limit.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, like screen time.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_06]: I had that shit for a minute and they give you the option to say like never mind or like like ignore.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_06]: And I hit ignore for like months and my daily limit that you set for me was two hours.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know how you do that though because usually to like bypass that you have to put in the password.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, I don't know.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_06]: But I was just bypassing that shit.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_02]: I think the best way.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_06]: We still struggle with that.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm I had to have no remedy.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_02]: Like I myself battling with.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, man.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_06]: Good job for binge watching.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I don't mind if you binge watch WTJ podcast.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_06]: I don't mind that.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_06]: I'm just kidding.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_01]: I'm figuring it out too.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, we're if someone out there got an answer, please let us know in the comments because we're going to read that shit.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, next question, do you see yourself living in New York while having kids?
- 31:11[SPEAKER_06]: How would you, how would that be?
- 31:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so since we did say that we were thinking of living in New York like longer term, we are, we are going to try to have kids while we're living here.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_02]: And I feel confident in that.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_02]: I see, especially the neighborhood we live in, there's kids everywhere.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_02]: People have this idea that like nobody lives in New York and has kids.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what they're talking about.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_02]: They've never been in like the neighborhood of Brooklyn areas.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe Manhattan, downtown, you won't see people with strollers.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_02]: That's true.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_05]: There's a lot of kids here, yo.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_02]: But there's so many kids here.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_02]: There's so many kids that live in our building, all of our neighborhood.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_02]: They're everywhere.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_02]: especially I think in Brooklyn because it's easier to just like move around which your kids outside you're not like in the car and stuff.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_02]: So in that sense like clearly it's doable and clearly not all these people are like millionaires and billionaires and she like that like these bar normal.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_02]: You know, obviously you need to make a certain amount of money to be able to afford like living here, paying for rent, childcare, everyone's set up in situation is different.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_02]: But I doubt it that everyone that has kids in New York, let's say like in a nice, ish area, but not like the best area is like insanely rich.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_02]: That's absurd.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but you know, everyone also makes a deal with like what they have and it depends like how much you you give up certain things to be able to live here to be able to still enjoy certain things about the city while having kids.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_02]: So our plan is to have kids while
- 32:51[SPEAKER_02]: uh... were in New York definitely like the first few years also when your kid is like where they are doesn't really matter because they're babies like they're young yeah you know so the first like three four even five years like i can see that being doable once they start going to school and stuff like that i don't know because that's when you start actually looking at like okay what district are we in like what's the public school like yeah because i do believe in public school i'm not necessarily like oh my kid has to go to private school
- 33:20[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, it's different now than the public school you know.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_06]: I feel like public schools in New York is very different than public school in like Romania or Seattle.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_06]: And you do want your kids to go to, you need to be in a safe district, you need to free.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_06]: When a kid goes to school, you want to feel like it's a good school.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_06]: You don't want to send them to a school that's like,
- 33:45[SPEAKER_02]: No, that's why I'm saying like living in a neighborhood with the good school matters more later when they start going to school.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_02]: But in the first few years, yeah, no matter like when they're two years old like what like they're just at home anyways.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, they're home school.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_02]: Just not school.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_01]: So, yeah, that's the plan.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_06]: I think I can answer this question too.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_06]: I definitely think we can have kids here and we want to.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_06]: Eventually at some point, we're going to upgrade to a second bedroom.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_06]: That is the plan.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_06]: Whether we're saying the same building or move somewhere else, but I do love this area of Brooklyn.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_06]: But there's also other areas in Brooklyn that are great.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Brooklyn was huge.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_06]: And how would that be, which is the second part of this question?
- 34:30[SPEAKER_02]: There's no way to know until you can.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_06]: There's no way we try to ask people on which we still haven't done.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_02]: I've done.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_06]: You talked to someone who has a kid.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I told you I was like talking to this couple that has two kids, one year old and a two month old.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_06]: All right, that's like a few weeks ago, right?
- 34:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I was saying in a coffee shop and they were there with their two month old.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_02]: And then I was like,
- 34:51[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sorry, do you mind if I ask you, what is it like having a raising a kid in New York?
- 34:57[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I ended up talking for like an hour.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_02]: And my friend, I was in my friend Carolina and we kept and she wasn't there when I first asked and then when she came back into the coffee shop, she just knew immediately what we were talking about.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_02]: And we just ended up talking and I mean there's we can maybe like have another episode about that.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, let's do another one.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_02]: But overall like it was very encouraging hearing what they had to say.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_02]: You know, because if you live in New York and you still and you have kids in New York is because you're choosing you're choosing to.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_02]: And that means that you're making it work.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_06]: Because if you have kids in New York and you have kids anywhere.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_02]: And there's things, there's benefits to having kids in a city versus like in a suburbs where you depend on a car and different things like that.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_02]: It's just, it also depends on every person.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, next question.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_06]: What does a day in a life look like for you to ask content creators?
- 35:55[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_06]: Let me go first.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_01]: Can we talk about the last week?
- 35:59[SPEAKER_01]: What does it look like?
- 36:00[SPEAKER_06]: Wake up in the morning and usually in a couple in our case, there's one that's the planner and the calendar person.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_06]: And then there's the other one who kind of just like, which is me.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_06]: I know what I got to do.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_06]: It's in my brain.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_06]: It's not raining down anyway.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_06]: And I just get up and get to that right away.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_06]: So you get your coffee, we eat breakfast together.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_02]: And I feel like you're paying the wrong picture.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, why?
- 36:25[SPEAKER_02]: Because usually, the day the life looks like this, I wake up like big morning.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_05]: So you wanted to say that you wake up before me.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_02]: And then you didn't wake up for another probably like.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_02]: Thirty minutes to an hour after I wake up, which is fine.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_02]: I get up, brush my teeth.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_02]: Congratulations.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_06]: Everybody take a moment to clap it up for us.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_02]: No, I'm just saying this is what a day in the life looks like she ought to be real.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_02]: And then I wake up and I start the first thing I do is obviously brush my teeth all that and then I make breakfast.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_02]: And then I make my breakfast, I'm eating my breakfast.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_06]: When you open up your computer, what's the first thing you go to?
- 36:59[SPEAKER_06]: When you're ready to eat.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_06]: My emails say email.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I go to my emails and then I go to my calendar.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_02]: And then I could not live without my calendar.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_02]: So I always look at my calendar, see what's up over there.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_02]: And then, um, and then you only wakes up or gets up, sorry.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_06]: But looking at the calendar, that's usually when the potential stress can arise.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, yeah, but also I have to look at the calendar to see where we are, what are we doing?
- 37:22[SPEAKER_02]: Do you have a...
- 37:27[SPEAKER_06]: to do a list like today.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_02]: But I haven't used it because there's been I haven't used it in like I want to say the whole last month because I feel like.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_02]: Even just having the to do list is more work.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_02]: I've been coming off the top of my head like I just know what I have to do.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_06]: It's pretty much.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_02]: And then we basically just work and then after I finished breakfast like I'll make myself a coffee and then I'm just working and then I work all day.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_06]: We do be working all day like way past the nine to five.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, the one thing I do want to change into a way we do things and we we can stay I feel like we haven't been outside like we'd be at home.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, I think it's hard to answer this question right now realistically because we are in like
- 38:13[SPEAKER_02]: crunch time, crunch time, as if it's like end of, end of project like we have the hand in.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_06]: We do this every time we travel.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_06]: Yes.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_06]: But one thing I do want to change is, and I know we said that the moment you wake up, you kind of like your brain is so fresh that you just ready to get to work right away.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_06]: But I do think that it's going to be so important.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_06]: And it is so important to do the gym first.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_02]: I'm still not convinced, you know, because I do like an afternoon workout.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_02]: Like I like a five p.m.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_02]: Workout.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_06]: How do you feel energy wise?
- 38:48[SPEAKER_06]: I feel worried.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_02]: Energy wise, I'm ready to like move my body.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I've been sitting down all day like I need to like get physical a little bit and it's a nice way to break up the day because I'm like I've been working and it's like good like the workout signifies transition from work day to my day because then you come home, then you shower and think dinner, you know, if I work out in the morning
- 39:17[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like I need to like take a nap after I work out.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_06]: That's fine.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_06]: You can take a nap.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_06]: You can take that three to five now.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_02]: No, I'm saying if I work out in the morning like I just woke up.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_02]: And then I eat breakfast and then I work out and then I come home and then what am I going to do taking a nap at ten a. Oh, if I work out in the morning like after I work out, I'm like tired.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_02]: And then if I work out, you want me to sit down and like work.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_05]: That's interesting.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't know something about it, too.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, okay, I just worked out the night to shower then to get dressed and I need to take my post to work out.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_02]: Should the night to eat a snack after my workout get that protein in and I feel like I'm just like, you know, and then have to sit down and get to work.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, next question, how do you hunt a good and affordable apartment in such a large city?
- 40:04[SPEAKER_02]: Um, be patient.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_02]: Stay with a friend or sublet.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_06]: So you know, first of the new York.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_06]: This is what we did.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_06]: We stayed with a friend.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_06]: We didn't even have an apartment yet.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_02]: We actually stayed in a hotel first for a week.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_02]: And then we found an apartment and then we stayed with the friend until we moved in for like a few days.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, wait.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_06]: Was that the order?
- 40:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_02]: We said.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, that was in the lower East side.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_06]: that hotel and that time specifically you move to New York with all your stuff we didn't we didn't know where we were gonna live we just knew that this is crazy it's like we have two weeks or however long realistically yeah but preferably not two weeks to sooner the better I think what we should have done is sublet it a place for like a month or something but
- 40:52[SPEAKER_06]: Anyways, we got to this hotel and that hotel specifically.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_02]: Every time I walk by, I think about it.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_06]: No, but I also remember a specific feeling.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no, me too.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_06]: Like about the coffees that we would get downstairs.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_02]: Because there was like an included coffee pastry thing.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, and when I close my eyes and if I walk by it, I remember that time how like we were pretty stressed.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I cried.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_02]: I cried at that coffee shop downstairs because I was so just like.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_02]: Anxious and never go.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_05]: You're probably good to say the same.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_02]: I was just saying remember I cried because I was editing a video from when I was in Romania, which was right before that.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_02]: I was editing a video to put out like my time in Romania and I. What did you see?
- 41:31[SPEAKER_02]: I saw my family and I was editing like just a video and it took me back to how nice it was to be like, you know, in the countryside and the grass and those sun and it's such a contrast for how stressed I was.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_06]: But then also he was something he was a specific scene that you were editing and you saw your mom there.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, was it?
- 41:50[SPEAKER_06]: And then you looked at me and your eyes were like, tear you a little bit and then you were like, I miss my mom and then you started like crying and I felt that.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, because in that moment you just went a hug from your mom.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no, it really was like that.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, so...
- 42:07[SPEAKER_02]: So basically, that's why our lesson was that I would recommend to find a place where you can sublet for like a month or two, give yourself time.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_02]: That way, you can also get to know the areas a little bit.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_06]: For people who don't know what a sublet is, is that you basically, it's like a renting someone's home while they're in a different country or out of town.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and it's not like a hotel, so it's a proper home.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, so everything's furnished and whatever.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, let me give you a few questions.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, cool.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_06]: And also to do not move to a city without knowing where you're going to live.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_06]: This is what we did and we do not recommend because that is high stress levels.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, what accessory are you currently obsessed with?
- 42:52[SPEAKER_06]: Accessory right now my wedding ring.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_02]: Aw, babe.
- 42:56[SPEAKER_06]: I'm obsessed with that thing.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_06]: I look at it every day.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_01]: You're so cute.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, now I can't not say my wedding ring.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_01]: I do like my wedding ring too.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_06]: I look at that shit and I'm just like, I'm really married.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, that's yeah.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_02]: I do like my wedding ring and I was gonna say in response to this, I am obsessed with jewelry right now.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like every time I go to like a thrift store, vintage shop, flea market, whatever, I'm just on the hunt for jewelry.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just I've been having fun with jewelry.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_02]: Someone said this concentration make enough money to sustain a family and save up for the future.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_06]: Depending on how long you've been doing and depending on how obviously how many people like it.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, like what your engagement is and stuff, but I can confidently say that cotton creation can make a lot of money.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_02]: Like there is the way that marketing is done nowadays is companies and brands are putting influencer marketing at the forefront of so much of what they do.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_02]: It is a multi-billion dollar industry and it's only growing much more.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_06]: Like brands want to work with cotton creators before they work with.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_02]: before they put something on a billboard.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_02]: Because they don't do influence.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, exactly.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_02]: Like a billboard.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_02]: How many people will actually like, you know, they see the bill, the billboard.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_02]: And it's like, okay, cool.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_02]: I saw it nice.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_02]: But with the content creator thing, like people interact with the differently and it's just an ever growing industry.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_02]: So you can absolutely make enough money to sustain a family and save up for the future, one hundred percent.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_02]: Somebody asked, how did you find your style?
- 44:37[SPEAKER_02]: I've been struggling with that.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_06]: style.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_06]: This is something I think I just woke up and I think you have to try.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_02]: I think I have to tell my good.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_02]: I think you have to try things.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_02]: I think also style is ever changing because what you thought was stylish even a year ago, you might be looking at it and you're like, damn, I don't know about this.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_06]: Especially for you, you change, you change quite often.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_02]: I also say like, I don't know, to me, it's also like the body, the body image thing is like, what fits me?
- 45:10[SPEAKER_02]: What doesn't want anything to fit?
- 45:12[SPEAKER_02]: That would just never fit, like, I don't know.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_06]: Would you say that every year you have a different?
- 45:18[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's, no, no.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_02]: I would say like the last, like this past year and the year before, it's been pretty consistent.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_02]: I haven't changed that much.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_02]: If anything, I've just been like adding more things to the repertoire.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_06]: I feel like the older you get, the more settled you are in your style.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think it comes with age for sure.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, me, I don't think I'll change.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_06]: my style at all.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_02]: I think you might discover like new accessories or new things, but like the general idea will stay pretty similar.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_02]: And I feel like I, I don't know, I can confidently say I feel the most not doubtful of my style now than I have before.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_02]: Like I used to be doubting like what I like, do I like it?
- 45:55[SPEAKER_02]: Do I not?
- 45:56[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you know, whatever.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_06]: That's good.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_06]: I feel like I definitely see the confidence in you now these days.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_06]: And I like it.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_06]: I, it's, you know, someone that's a, that's a, that's a, that's confident.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_06]: It's very attractive to me.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_02]: Hmm of course Yeah, so if you're struggling with finding your style I say try things I say also maybe make it a point to take mental notes on like people on the street when you see someone with a nice outfit It's like why do I like that outfit?
- 46:21[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's like do I like the pants?
- 46:23[SPEAKER_02]: They were like that so the wet do I like the color combo do I like this the the materials maybe like watch some like fashion videos online and I feel like you know
- 46:33[SPEAKER_06]: This is something when I want to find something.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know, I don't look.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_06]: I don't search web.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_02]: But you're establishing your style.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, you know, but like if I I don't search the web to find things to then
- 46:45[SPEAKER_06]: I don't want to say copy, book copy, things, and- Yeah, but there's people that don't even know what they like.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_06]: But I know what I like.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_02]: That's what I'm saying.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_02]: So if you don't know what you like, how can you, you need to expose yourself to numerous things to be like, I kind of like that, I kind of don't like that.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_02]: Because there's fashion people, there's like fashion girls that may content online on YouTube specifically that I watch their videos.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_02]: And there's things that they, you know, like style or put together or talk about that I like.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_02]: But there's also things that I'll just not meet.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_02]: that I think actually I don't even think this looks good.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_02]: But that's my step, but that's the point is to be able to recognize what you like and what you don't and why.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_06]: So it's kind of like searching what else is out there.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, like if you're not exposing yourself too fashion and too clothing and to these types of things, how will you know it's kind of the same thing also with like interior design stuff is like you have to just expose yourself to things to see like I kind of like this and I kind of don't like that.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_06]: So would you say I should do more of decks I never do that?
- 47:46[SPEAKER_02]: No, but you know what you like already.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_02]: Um, okay.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_02]: Somebody asked me what are my favorite cookbooks.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_02]: First one that comes to mind is Molly Boses.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_02]: Cookbooks either the first or the second.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_02]: They're both good.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_02]: I have both.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_06]: So my favorite cookbook is Benny Blanco's Open Wide.
- 48:04[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and he has not cooked one thing from that book.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't even know.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_06]: But it's not favorite book.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_06]: I'm just answering the question.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, somebody asked, do you and Yoni experience racism or funny stairs in or outside of the country?
- 48:16[SPEAKER_02]: Oh yeah.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_06]: Oh yeah, all the time.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_02]: I would say when we went to... What do you want to career?
- 48:23[SPEAKER_02]: We got that quite a lot actually.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, but not because it was directed to you.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, it was not because it's a interracial couple is because I'm black and I'm in career.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_06]: It's like what are you doing in my country?
- 48:35[SPEAKER_06]: But yeah, I never took it.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_06]: I don't get offended by these things.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_06]: I'm confident in who I am.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_06]: I love being African.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_06]: I love my skin complexion.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_06]: I'm very proud and I wouldn't want to be
- 48:47[SPEAKER_06]: anything else.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_06]: As you should.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, how much is someone said, Yoni, I have a billion dollars for you and you can be this color.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_06]: I said, I'm good.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_06]: So that's how it truly feels.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_06]: So when I go somewhere and I get a weird stare, it's kind of just like, I don't like I wouldn't want to be you.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_06]: But I don't say that in a mean way.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_06]: But I'm just like, I treat everybody how I would love to be treated.
- 49:15[SPEAKER_06]: I don't care if you why black would have a color.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_06]: To me, you're a human being.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_06]: And if you cool, I'm cool, right?
- 49:25[SPEAKER_06]: So racism, I definitely experienced that in South Korea.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_06]: But it wasn't even racist.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_06]: No, it was funny stare.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_06]: It was just like when people look at me weird.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was funny.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_01]: There's pressure.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, in Japan, I got tired a little bit too, but I feel like in Japan, it was more admiration.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, I love your hair.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_06]: I love your locks.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, like I went into a store this guy was like, oh, cool hair.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_02]: But that happened in Korea too.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_02]: Was like the younger people, the younger guys in Korea, I think, said that.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, yeah.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_02]: But it was like the older Caribbean men that was like look at Yoni and just that could not even try to hide it just staring Yeah, yeah, yeah, I remember it was in the train one time But but that stuff.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_06]: It's like yeah, like it's fucked up But I'm so used to if that happens.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_06]: It's like it doesn't stay with me.
- 50:12[SPEAKER_06]: I don't think about it.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_06]: I don't go home.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_06]: It'd be like oh man.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_06]: They all looked at me like I don't care
- 50:17[SPEAKER_02]: We didn't have any, you didn't experience anything like that in Lisbon.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_02]: Did you really go?
- 50:21[SPEAKER_06]: I didn't experience anything like that in Lisbon.
- 50:22[SPEAKER_06]: There's a lot of diversity.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_06]: Like, if anything, people thought that I could be Portuguese or Brazilian or whatever.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, in Copenhagen, even though there's like not a lot of diversity, if at all.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_02]: I haven't seen a one black person in there was one there was one okay when we were like on the canal remember when you can count them that's how you know it was but I don't think anybody was like looking at you any tip of it no no not at all but I was just like really standing out yeah but I don't think anybody made you feel that you were standing out you know what I'm saying you just wore the only one
- 50:57[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, yeah, nobody made me feel that way at all, but racism in general still exists.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I mean, even in Romania, people will look at, you know, yeah, because I'm tall, black, and then go like locks and shit, and people are just like, maybe maybe maybe you think, but sometimes it's just looking because it's like, they just fascinate it.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_02]: Not expect to see that.
- 51:19[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, when we went to Romania, when we went to Provizza, it was this country side that even people from Romania don't know what Provizza is.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that, but also the people that live there have never, like, there's some people that have lived their entire lives and in the country, they've never left.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_02]: In the country where, like, you exchange milk for eggs, type of thing.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, like, in the country where it's like, there's one house and then you got to walk, like, I don't know, like,
- 51:45[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know, I'm not a mile, but like the houses are not like packed together.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_06]: It's like there's one house here and then down the road, there's another house with some cows outside.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_06]: That type of country.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_06]: So they've never seen the black person in real.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_02]: No, pretty much.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_06]: So when they saw me.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_02]: They're just kind of like, what are you doing here?
- 52:03[SPEAKER_06]: But also, I don't know what they were thinking.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_02]: Probably that.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_06]: Remember one time when we went to the little city, like the little town of the country side.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_06]: That's what people go shopping for things, right?
- 52:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you go to the, oh my goodness.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_06]: I will never forget that the way people were looking at me, I went back in a car and sat with grandma.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_06]: I was just like, you know, I'm just going to wait here.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_06]: That's the only time I would say I really felt uncomfortable because it was everybody.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_06]: I felt like they just saw like Jesus.
- 52:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's true.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, somebody asked, how do you find true community in New York City when it could feel like a transactional city?
- 52:43[SPEAKER_02]: Which I would say though, that would, I don't think New York City is as transactional as people imagine, but I also think we just aren't in those types of spaces as much.
- 52:53[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe you, but not so much me.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_06]: Let's define transactional city.
- 52:57[SPEAKER_02]: Where somebody like you're meeting people and you can just tell they only want to meet people for what they can offer them.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_02]: Like you're having a conversation with someone you can just tell based on like the things they ask you, the things they talk about, they just care about what you do and how you can be of help to them.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_06]: And who you know?
- 53:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_02]: And I think you can easily like weed those people out.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_06]: Oh yeah.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_02]: And that's what I would do.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_02]: Like even at content creator events, things like that, you can just tell when someone's that way and I'm just I leave the conversation like I'm done.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_02]: But not everybody's that way.
- 53:28[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely not.
- 53:29[SPEAKER_06]: Well, you don't leave the conversation.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_06]: You kind of just like stick it out, but then you're not following up the next day.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_06]: Like who's the next to see you?
- 53:36[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not going to make friends with them.
- 53:38[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 53:38[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, somebody said finances, what helps you be able to travel so frequently?
- 53:45[SPEAKER_02]: go to work well I would say one thing that I think people don't maybe realize is like when we travel I and we now but up to before even Yoni started making his YouTube videos I pretty much have
- 54:00[SPEAKER_02]: made videos for every single travel trip that have been on ever since I started YouTube so for the last five years and because of that that is like my work that's my job that's my business and I expense the trip so the trip is work even though like it's a vacation and we're traveling it would get to see new places
- 54:21[SPEAKER_02]: I make a video and the video and the traveling and all that you expensive on your taxes and those are like basically the only travel the only business expenses I get to get to have which are really important to have because like at the end of tax season
- 54:39[SPEAKER_02]: is like you got to pay taxes and as a business, like you have expenses.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_02]: You know, like equipment, things like that and also flight tickets and different things.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_02]: So it's kind of like part of my work.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_03]: It doesn't make sense.
- 54:52[SPEAKER_02]: And now for you only two with, you know, making his videos and just like photography and stuff, it kind of works pretty much the same way.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, with my videos, I mean, I feel like anywhere I would go, whether it's alone or both of us, like if I choose to go to the UK, obviously I'm gonna make a new POV video in London.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_06]: And that is work.
- 55:14[SPEAKER_06]: That is work.
- 55:15[SPEAKER_06]: And that's why I'm there for.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_02]: And that is also investing money back into your business.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_02]: Even though from the outside of my look, like we're just traveling for fun, it is fortunate that we get to kind of makes the two, which is the beauty of working for yourself in this type of job.
- 55:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_02]: But at the same time, that's also why I have never traveled.
- 55:37[SPEAKER_02]: in the last five years without, like, working on my travels.
- 55:42[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, somebody asked, would I ever run a full marathon?
- 55:47[SPEAKER_02]: Probably not.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_02]: Somebody asked.
- 55:49[SPEAKER_04]: Wait, can I ask you, do you know, Chris has a boat with us?
- 55:52[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I mean, would you ever run a full marathon?
- 55:54[SPEAKER_02]: You haven't run a half.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_06]: No, I just wanted to ask.
- 55:57[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I also know you would never run a run.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_06]: No, but it's kind of like, I like the invite, even though I don't know.
- 56:02[SPEAKER_02]: Would you ever run a half?
- 56:04[SPEAKER_06]: No.
- 56:05[UNKNOWN]: Okay.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_02]: What do you guys think of apps becoming similar to each other like Instagram?
- 56:11[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_02]: Like Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, almost all the same.
- 56:17[SPEAKER_06]: I don't mind it.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know a lot of people dislike it, but the new feature on Instagram where you can repost someone else's post on your feed, which meaning that all your followers will see someone else's content.
- 56:31[SPEAKER_06]: I think it's great.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_06]: The way we do it is we keep it in house.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_06]: So I won't be retreating anyone else's content.
- 56:39[SPEAKER_01]: Isn't it, by the way, said retreating?
- 56:41[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, we reposting anybody else's content, unless it's our what's the juice podcast or alias content.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, or say me here.
- 56:49[SPEAKER_06]: Because that is essentially that's like promotion.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_06]: And we've worked hard on the audience that we've built together and individually.
- 56:58[SPEAKER_06]: And I mean, we think what that's real work is like you had to
- 57:04[SPEAKER_06]: Of course put in time to make this to grow this whatever so I just gonna repost something from I mean I just it a big deal like that maybe I'm taking a two series I'm kind of over it like I'm done with Instagram implementing every single thing that all the other apps have just because from like a business standpoint I just know
- 57:25[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I don't know if it's necessarily going to become like a thing, but it's another thing to like worry about.
- 57:31[SPEAKER_02]: What I meant is I don't know if now like brands are going to take into consideration like how many repost does this have?
- 57:39[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_02]: or like maybe brand asking you to like oh you have to repost this to your feet like I'm gonna say no regardless but but it's a different feet it's a different and and TikTok has had this feature for like a long time so just kind of like every all the apps are just kind of becoming I would say YouTube is still staying true to itself even though it has YouTube shorts like I don't know who watches YouTube shorts
- 58:04[SPEAKER_06]: Out of all these social media things, I love YouTube the most because I feel like YouTube is not going anywhere.
- 58:11[SPEAKER_06]: They don't change things that much.
- 58:14[SPEAKER_02]: They still kept the original idea as it is.
- 58:18[SPEAKER_06]: Right, and then the one thing, I feel like this could be like another like a whole YouTube, I mean, podcast episode, and we can just talk about YouTube because I think that long form to me, it's becoming my favorite type of content to consume.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_06]: Because you're watching something that someone made and put in time, it's a piece of, I don't know if it's a work.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, it's a piece of work, it's
- 58:40[SPEAKER_06]: It's not something that someone just... ...generatedly over the turnaround.
- 58:45[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, quickly scroll by, like, you know, elevated you.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_06]: Look, I would hate for someone to just scroll past my shit, if that's like that.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_06]: Like, when you go on a journey, quote of video, I want you to sit down, get, like, get a snack or something, maybe even puller.
- 58:56[SPEAKER_06]: I love when people, like, post a video and then they show how they're watching on a TV or, like, a projected.
- 59:03[SPEAKER_06]: That means that it's a moment out of their day.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_02]: They're sitting down with it.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_02]: And they're eating it all.
- 59:09[SPEAKER_02]: It's not like it's different.
- 59:11[SPEAKER_02]: It's not like a tasting menu where you take a bite out of everything.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_02]: It's not like a barely even taste until you eat the other thing.
- 59:17[SPEAKER_06]: And with short form, it's quickly forgotten.
- 59:20[SPEAKER_06]: I mean by the time they swipe, your video day already, it's gone.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 59:27[SPEAKER_06]: So I like YouTube.
- 59:29[SPEAKER_06]: We're gonna stay there.
- 59:31[SPEAKER_02]: Someone said, how do you refer to your husband without saying, husband all the time?
- 59:35[SPEAKER_02]: We already answered that at the beginning, but I call him by his name, Yoni, or sometimes I say my partner.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_06]: We will, I don't understand that question.
- 59:41[SPEAKER_06]: How do you refer a day asking like, why aren't you?
- 59:44[SPEAKER_02]: Or, I don't know what they're trying to say.
- 59:45[SPEAKER_02]: How do you refer to your husband without saying husband all the time?
- 59:48[SPEAKER_04]: Just say their name.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's like, is that crazy?
- 59:52[SPEAKER_04]: Like how else could you do that?
- 59:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but I think it's because like that they can see like whenever I do say my husband in like a piece of content, there will always be someone in the comments saying, you're married?
- 1:00:05[SPEAKER_02]: What?
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_02]: What did I miss?
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_02]: Like I literally just posted something on TikTok.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_02]: What did I miss?
- 1:00:09[SPEAKER_02]: And then someone was like, I missed a whole chapter.
- 1:00:11[SPEAKER_02]: And someone asked, how does gender roles affect your marriage?
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_06]: Gender roles, okay, our level of communication, honestly, I would say it's been great from the beginning and we have established how we run around things and how we want to do what we think.
- 1:00:28[SPEAKER_06]: We shared both of our perspectives early on.
- 1:00:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I think we just naturally have our strengths.
- 1:00:36[SPEAKER_02]: And we just follow those.
- 1:00:37[SPEAKER_02]: So it's not so much like on a gender basis.
- 1:00:40[SPEAKER_02]: It's more just on a strength space.
- 1:00:41[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, what are your strengths?
- 1:00:43[SPEAKER_02]: What are my strengths?
- 1:00:44[SPEAKER_02]: Like my strengths are to cook.
- 1:00:45[SPEAKER_02]: So I cook much more often than you only does.
- 1:00:48[SPEAKER_06]: My strength is the clean and I clean.
- 1:00:51[SPEAKER_02]: You do.
- 1:00:53[SPEAKER_02]: And you take out the trash.
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_02]: The I would say that's one thing.
- 1:00:55[SPEAKER_02]: You only take out the trash.
- 1:00:56[SPEAKER_02]: I hate taking out the trash.
- 1:00:57[SPEAKER_02]: And that's theoretically the gender roles if you want to stay.
- 1:01:00[SPEAKER_02]: So.
- 1:01:01[SPEAKER_04]: That's okay.
- 1:01:01[SPEAKER_04]: That's fine.
- 1:01:02[SPEAKER_06]: Like maybe there's a reason for that.
- 1:01:04[SPEAKER_02]: And you clean the toilet because.
- 1:01:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:01:09[SPEAKER_02]: That's it.
- 1:01:11[SPEAKER_02]: Fuji or Sony for digital photos and video need opinions.
- 1:01:14[SPEAKER_06]: Sony all the way.
- 1:01:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we're a Sony family over here.
- 1:01:18[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, we're a Sony family and a like a family.
- 1:01:22[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, okay.
- 1:01:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:01:23[SPEAKER_06]: But, yeah, Sony for, um, for digital, yeah.
- 1:01:28[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, for digital, honestly, you go with Sony, I don't know if you're into photography or video, but this is both.
- 1:01:34[SPEAKER_06]: This Sony Alpha series is, um, this is great.
- 1:01:38[SPEAKER_06]: That's what we used to film these episodes.
- 1:01:40[SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm.
- 1:01:41[SPEAKER_02]: Would you rather bike take the Metro taxi or bus?
- 1:01:44[SPEAKER_06]: What we going?
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_02]: There's a very study from city-wide.
- 1:01:49[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I would say if I can bike and if it's safe and fun to bike in wherever I am, I will bike first before anything.
- 1:01:57[SPEAKER_06]: Especially because I can do city.
- 1:01:58[SPEAKER_06]: I will bike anytime.
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:02:02[SPEAKER_02]: And then the next thing I do that is just like the metro.
- 1:02:05[SPEAKER_02]: I don't allow, for some reason, I don't like buses.
- 1:02:07[SPEAKER_06]: We haven't done on the bus in New York yet.
- 1:02:08[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, I'm gone on in like maybe once.
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's a bust.
- 1:02:12[SPEAKER_02]: It's like any other bust, but something about it, I don't like, it's as if anybody can get on at any time, which like, the subway is the same, but something about it feels more safe to me, I don't know.
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_02]: But I've heard, I've heard some people say, like, the bus is so underrated.
- 1:02:25[SPEAKER_02]: And I believe it, but it's like, if I can take the bus, I'll take a bike.
- 1:02:29[SPEAKER_06]: You know, but think about it.
- 1:02:30[SPEAKER_06]: If you get on a bus, there's no way a crazy person can get on it.
- 1:02:33[SPEAKER_06]: Like on this subway.
- 1:02:34[SPEAKER_06]: And that way, if you're stuck in a car with someone who's crazy or like weird, you're stuck with them.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_06]: Fill.
- 1:02:41[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:02:41[SPEAKER_02]: Somebody said, how many, how many years have you been together?
- 1:02:44[SPEAKER_02]: And out of those years, how many have you been married?
- 1:02:46[SPEAKER_06]: We've been together since, twenty twenty one november eighteen to be specific.
- 1:02:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we've been married.
- 1:02:52[SPEAKER_06]: We've been married since, but we've been together since twenty eighteen.
- 1:02:55[SPEAKER_02]: So together, seven married before.
- 1:02:57[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, and it's been the best time of my life.
- 1:03:00[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, somebody asked.
- 1:03:01[SPEAKER_06]: Wait, is it?
- 1:03:02[SPEAKER_06]: Has it been the best time of your life?
- 1:03:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's been the most amazing time of my life.
- 1:03:05[SPEAKER_06]: Ever.
- 1:03:06[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to be to keep rapid fire.
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, Brooklyn versus Manhattan Life.
- 1:03:10[SPEAKER_04]: Brooklyn in the house.
- 1:03:12[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I think they're asking like the difference.
- 1:03:15[SPEAKER_02]: I love, I honestly truly love living in Brooklyn.
- 1:03:18[SPEAKER_02]: It's amazing.
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_02]: It's so the perfect level of everything because you have the quiet, you have the simple life.
- 1:03:26[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but you also can get to the city so fast and be in the hustle and bustle of things, but I don't know if I'm necessarily ever want to live in, I would not ever want to live in Manhattan again because why would you?
- 1:03:36[SPEAKER_02]: Because you can get there so quick from Brooklyn.
- 1:03:39[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously depends where in Brooklyn you are, but then also it's just like so much more expensive and you can get such, so much less.
- 1:03:47[SPEAKER_06]: So much lessons for so much more.
- 1:03:50[SPEAKER_02]: Like the state, you can have the same rent and have to space.
- 1:03:53[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 1:03:54[SPEAKER_02]: And you have the amenities.
- 1:03:55[SPEAKER_02]: Like it's just stupid.
- 1:03:56[SPEAKER_06]: It's crazy.
- 1:03:56[SPEAKER_06]: I think at that point, it just comes down to priorities.
- 1:04:00[SPEAKER_06]: You know.
- 1:04:00[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, and just like wanting to be in the city, which like we lived in the city before, which I'm glad we did the first year we moved to we lived in Nolita, which is the middle of the city of, oh, yeah.
- 1:04:11[SPEAKER_06]: And it was great.
- 1:04:12[SPEAKER_06]: It was nice.
- 1:04:13[SPEAKER_06]: And I do remember our first apartment.
- 1:04:15[SPEAKER_06]: Everybody remembers how small that she was.
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_02]: You guys, you guys don't actually understand how small I was, because you've never got to be in it, but I was just looking at some film photos earlier today.
- 1:04:24[SPEAKER_02]: And it's actually insane how small that apartment was.
- 1:04:27[SPEAKER_02]: And the craziest thing is that my mom and my sister visited us and they stayed with us in that apartment.
- 1:04:32[SPEAKER_02]: Four people in that apartment is crazy.
- 1:04:34[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, but we were there and that apartment has like a special place in my heart because that was the first apartment in New York City and it's such a classic story.
- 1:04:42[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's what is your least favorite thing about New York?
- 1:04:46[SPEAKER_06]: Malice from the thing about New York is how loud it is sometimes.
- 1:04:52[SPEAKER_01]: It is loud.
- 1:04:53[SPEAKER_06]: It's loud.
- 1:04:54[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, people blast their music, police, ambulance, traffic.
- 1:05:02[SPEAKER_06]: Construction yeah, that's my least favorite part of our New York and then also to like just a crazy sometimes like the crazy people here Yeah, like I don't like the fact that you can get on on the train and Someone can do something to you.
- 1:05:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's true
- 1:05:22[SPEAKER_06]: If you're like, wrong time, wrong day, wrong place, should like that happens to people.
- 1:05:28[SPEAKER_06]: It never happened to us.
- 1:05:29[SPEAKER_06]: And that's likely to, it doesn't happen every, well, I'm sure it happens every day, but obviously not to you because that would be crazy.
- 1:05:39[SPEAKER_06]: It's a big city.
- 1:05:40[SPEAKER_06]: But I'm saying there's crazy people get on the trains every single day.
- 1:05:44[SPEAKER_06]: And if anything, anytime before I get on the train, I look to see if
- 1:05:50[SPEAKER_06]: There's anybody in there that's like mentally ill.
- 1:05:52[SPEAKER_02]: No, of course.
- 1:05:52[SPEAKER_02]: Of course.
- 1:05:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:05:53[SPEAKER_02]: And you got to watch out for this.
- 1:05:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:05:56[SPEAKER_06]: Like you can be next to someone who's mentally ill and they can literally do something to you.
- 1:06:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 1:06:02[SPEAKER_06]: So that's my least favorite part before the traffic shit.
- 1:06:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I would say that too, but just to add, I would also say just like, this group of people that think that they're so like, they just take themselves so seriously and they think they're like so cool and so like, I mean, that can't make the list of least favorite things.
- 1:06:21[SPEAKER_06]: It's just an, it's just, it's whatever it is.
- 1:06:24[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, what would you say, I would just put that, like, right under what you just said?
- 1:06:28[SPEAKER_04]: Presently, that sounds too serious.
- 1:06:30[SPEAKER_02]: Like, when you walk on the street, you just see these people that think they're still like, oh my god, I live in New York and like, who outfit, it's like jokes, relax.
- 1:06:36[SPEAKER_06]: Who outfit?
- 1:06:39[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, somebody said, what is your favorite meal to eat at home?
- 1:06:43[SPEAKER_06]: My favorite meal to eat at home is any meal that I'll use.
- 1:06:46[SPEAKER_02]: Norris.
- 1:06:47[SPEAKER_06]: Because for the last few weeks,
- 1:06:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I've been my cooking bag.
- 1:06:52[SPEAKER_06]: She's been in her cooking bag.
- 1:06:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I've been cooking for real.
- 1:06:56[SPEAKER_06]: I feel like I live with a chef.
- 1:06:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no, I've definitely been killing it.
- 1:07:00[SPEAKER_02]: I would say, well, since that since I'm cooking, I would say my favorite meal to cook at home is anything else to do with some sort of sauce and then it will either be with rice or with pasta.
- 1:07:10[SPEAKER_06]: And Ali loves tomatoes.
- 1:07:11[SPEAKER_06]: I actually think about getting a tomato tattoo don't mean because he just reminds me of you.
- 1:07:16[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah.
- 1:07:17[SPEAKER_06]: You really love tomatoes.
- 1:07:18[SPEAKER_02]: I was going to get a tomato tattoo.
- 1:07:20[SPEAKER_06]: Really?
- 1:07:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:07:21[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, is it real that after some years of marriage you don't feel the same love to your partner?
- 1:07:26[SPEAKER_06]: That's not true at all.
- 1:07:28[SPEAKER_06]: Are you crazy?
- 1:07:29[SPEAKER_02]: Fake.
- 1:07:30[SPEAKER_02]: Fake.
- 1:07:31[SPEAKER_06]: That is not like how I feel about Alia now is probably stronger than it's ever been before because I get to know her as the year go on in the older we get.
- 1:07:42[SPEAKER_02]: It gets better.
- 1:07:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, it ages like fine one.
- 1:07:45[SPEAKER_06]: It gets better with age.
- 1:07:47[SPEAKER_06]: Because at first, yes, there's the honeymoon stage and stuff like that.
- 1:07:50[SPEAKER_06]: You all don't love, but you don't really know the person.
- 1:07:53[SPEAKER_02]: But like, we're still in love that way, though.
- 1:07:56[SPEAKER_06]: But I mean fish.
- 1:07:56[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:07:58[SPEAKER_06]: So, but you don't know that person yet.
- 1:08:00[SPEAKER_06]: But as you know, you go to like year one, two, three, you know them more, which makes me fall in love even more with you because it's like damn you're really my person.
- 1:08:11[SPEAKER_06]: And then when you get married, it's like I feel like you just want to a whole other level.
- 1:08:14[SPEAKER_02]: And then past like you've been married for like several years, too.
- 1:08:18[SPEAKER_02]: You're just getting that much closer.
- 1:08:20[SPEAKER_02]: You get to know each other so well.
- 1:08:22[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 1:08:23[SPEAKER_02]: And getting to to be your whole self.
- 1:08:26[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 1:08:26[SPEAKER_02]: All the time.
- 1:08:27[SPEAKER_06]: We are truly ourselves.
- 1:08:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:08:29[SPEAKER_02]: And then that person loves you for who you are.
- 1:08:33[SPEAKER_02]: It's like the most beautiful thing.
- 1:08:34[SPEAKER_06]: Even for the weird things that you do at home.
- 1:08:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:08:37[SPEAKER_06]: It's like you know and no one sees
- 1:08:41[SPEAKER_06]: What we see from each other.
- 1:08:43[SPEAKER_06]: Like the weird things sometimes.
- 1:08:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, don't make it weird by saying weird things.
- 1:08:48[SPEAKER_06]: Not like weird things.
- 1:08:49[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, like, maybe I might like make weird sound.
- 1:08:52[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:08:52[SPEAKER_02]: That's not that weird.
- 1:08:53[SPEAKER_02]: It's more just, yeah.
- 1:08:55[SPEAKER_06]: Like am I saying like really ugly?
- 1:08:57[SPEAKER_06]: Nobody knows that I do this stuff.
- 1:08:59[SPEAKER_02]: True.
- 1:08:59[SPEAKER_06]: Only you know.
- 1:09:00[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:09:01[SPEAKER_02]: What do you two mostly argue about?
- 1:09:05[SPEAKER_06]: Um, I would say getting started with the recording the podcast.
- 1:09:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:09:11[SPEAKER_06]: Setting off the podcast.
- 1:09:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:09:14[SPEAKER_06]: Sometimes I want to do two episodes back to back in Alias tired after the first one.
- 1:09:18[SPEAKER_06]: Sometimes I want to do three back to back as she's tired after the second one.
- 1:09:21[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 1:09:21[SPEAKER_01]: I love how you're just putting me under the rug.
- 1:09:23[SPEAKER_06]: And sometimes it's me.
- 1:09:24[SPEAKER_06]: Sometimes it's like the other way around.
- 1:09:26[SPEAKER_06]: So I feel like.
- 1:09:27[SPEAKER_02]: Or just like me how I've been ready for an hour to record and Yoni keeps like doing Ram Shin that I know where he's away.
- 1:09:32[SPEAKER_02]: I need to have a snack.
- 1:09:33[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, like a ride before recording, I go make myself a sandwich and else it's been waiting.
- 1:09:38[SPEAKER_06]: So it's not fair.
- 1:09:39[SPEAKER_06]: Like I don't like that I do that, but these are things that I'm working on and I'm sure that there's things that you are working on.
- 1:09:44[SPEAKER_06]: But I mean nobody's perfect.
- 1:09:46[SPEAKER_06]: So we all just here trying to live this life and be the best week.
- 1:09:50[SPEAKER_02]: I do think we argue the most about like timing things.
- 1:09:53[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, it's definitely time and I will raise my hand here and just give you some credit.
- 1:09:59[SPEAKER_06]: My time management has been a long life battle.
- 1:10:02[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:10:03[SPEAKER_06]: And it comes and comes in, you don't have to add to it.
- 1:10:08[SPEAKER_06]: I'm admitting it's a very vulnerable thing to say.
- 1:10:10[SPEAKER_06]: You're like, yeah, still it's okay.
- 1:10:13[SPEAKER_06]: I'm working on my time management.
- 1:10:15[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I can all the work that I have to do, all the different hats that I'm wearing.
- 1:10:19[SPEAKER_06]: I feel like I can complete all those tasks, especially if I'm just more punctual with my time.
- 1:10:27[SPEAKER_06]: And gladly, this is something that I can and will get better at, and I've been better at it.
- 1:10:34[SPEAKER_06]: So, yeah, that's it.
- 1:10:36[SPEAKER_06]: I'm working on a working progress and I'm proud of the progress I've made so far.
- 1:10:40[SPEAKER_06]: Aren't you?
- 1:10:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:10:41[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:10:42[SPEAKER_02]: Just keep working at it.
- 1:10:44[SPEAKER_06]: Yo, that's best though.
- 1:10:45[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, somebody said would you ever consider going back to school to further your education, maybe pursuing culinary or photography school?
- 1:10:52[SPEAKER_02]: I love how they think that I'm like trying to be a chef.
- 1:10:55[SPEAKER_06]: Can I answer first?
- 1:10:57[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 1:10:57[SPEAKER_06]: I never want to step inside a school facility or any, I never want to, I never want to step before in a class.
- 1:11:06[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, what about like photography school?
- 1:11:09[SPEAKER_06]: Photography school, I would like that.
- 1:11:11[SPEAKER_06]: No, if anything, not photography school, but I would take like,
- 1:11:15[SPEAKER_02]: a master class or something.
- 1:11:17[SPEAKER_06]: Definitely.
- 1:11:17[SPEAKER_06]: I am planning on taking a master class from like one of my favorite photographers.
- 1:11:20[SPEAKER_06]: So and me saying no to school is not me saying I'm entirely learning or school or whatever.
- 1:11:28[SPEAKER_06]: I just don't want to sit at home do homework and turning papers and I don't I don't I don't.
- 1:11:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I also feel like you're at a point in your like photography career that
- 1:11:40[SPEAKER_02]: it's like you've, you have so much hands on work.
- 1:11:43[SPEAKER_02]: You're not like, you know, nineteen eighteen.
- 1:11:46[SPEAKER_02]: Like, oh, I think I want to go to school for photography.
- 1:11:48[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, yeah, no, like I, I want to YouTube University.
- 1:11:52[SPEAKER_02]: And it's, and you also just have a lot of hands-on work, like you've done so much photography work for the last.
- 1:11:58[SPEAKER_06]: And I'm still on, and I'm still at YouTube University.
- 1:12:00[SPEAKER_06]: Like, I feel like I'm always learning.
- 1:12:03[SPEAKER_06]: So our master class would be great, but like a school of photography, school of photography degree.
- 1:12:08[SPEAKER_06]: I feel like it's,
- 1:12:09[SPEAKER_06]: It's twenty twenty five will be you can do whatever we want.
- 1:12:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 1:12:12[SPEAKER_06]: You are.
- 1:12:13[SPEAKER_02]: My agree.
- 1:12:14[SPEAKER_02]: There's so much information out there.
- 1:12:16[SPEAKER_06]: Especially if you in the arts.
- 1:12:17[SPEAKER_02]: I would definitely love to do some type of like culinary school, even though that's not really furthering my, I mean, it is kind of furthering my education, I guess I don't know.
- 1:12:27[SPEAKER_02]: I would I would love to do some type of like more more serious kind of boot camp like I don't know six weeks intensive like two months three months like thing.
- 1:12:37[SPEAKER_06]: We could look into that and find something like that, you know.
- 1:12:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that would be definitely really cool.
- 1:12:43[SPEAKER_02]: I just wonder, like, what would it look like?
- 1:12:45[SPEAKER_02]: And then also, you could ask, like, to what end?
- 1:12:47[SPEAKER_02]: Like, okay, what are you, what are you doing that for?
- 1:12:49[SPEAKER_02]: I think it could also be like doing that for passion and for experience.
- 1:12:53[SPEAKER_02]: And that's just such a cool thing to get to do.
- 1:12:56[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 1:12:58[SPEAKER_06]: And I can always learn anything about, about anything you're doing.
- 1:13:01[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not saying I'm the best, I photography.
- 1:13:02[SPEAKER_06]: There's so much I still need to learn in one turn.
- 1:13:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:13:06[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 1:13:07[SPEAKER_02]: Somebody asked, what is your favorite piece in your closet right now?
- 1:13:14[SPEAKER_06]: My favorite piece in my closet.
- 1:13:16[SPEAKER_01]: Is it green?
- 1:13:17[SPEAKER_06]: Is it green?
- 1:13:18[SPEAKER_06]: Is it green?
- 1:13:18[SPEAKER_06]: Is it green?
- 1:13:18[SPEAKER_06]: Is it green?
- 1:13:20[SPEAKER_06]: Is it green?
- 1:13:20[SPEAKER_06]: Is it green?
- 1:13:21[SPEAKER_06]: Is it green?
- 1:13:22[SPEAKER_01]: Is it green?
- 1:13:22[SPEAKER_01]: Is it green?
- 1:13:23[SPEAKER_06]: Is it green?
- 1:13:24[SPEAKER_06]: Is it green?
- 1:13:24[SPEAKER_06]: Is it green?
- 1:13:25[SPEAKER_06]: Is it green?
- 1:13:25[SPEAKER_06]: Is it green?
- 1:13:26[SPEAKER_06]: Is it green?
- 1:13:27[SPEAKER_06]: Is it green?
- 1:13:27[SPEAKER_06]: Is it green?
- 1:13:28[SPEAKER_06]: Is it green?
- 1:13:28[SPEAKER_06]: Is it green?
- 1:13:29[SPEAKER_06]: Is it green?
- 1:13:35[SPEAKER_06]: Not anymore.
- 1:13:37[SPEAKER_06]: I used to like it because I'm like, oh, it's good quality.
- 1:13:40[SPEAKER_06]: Like the heavier shirt.
- 1:13:41[SPEAKER_02]: It's so hot in the summer.
- 1:13:42[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't make sense to me.
- 1:13:43[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, but I love things.
- 1:13:44[SPEAKER_06]: And they follow my body like pretty nicely too.
- 1:13:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I would say my favorite piece of my closet right now.
- 1:13:53[SPEAKER_02]: Honestly, I mean, it's not in my closet.
- 1:13:55[SPEAKER_02]: Can I pick a pair of shoes?
- 1:13:58[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, what's your favorite shoe?
- 1:13:59[SPEAKER_02]: My favorite shoes are the loafers that I've worn all summer.
- 1:14:03[SPEAKER_02]: I bought them for the Japan trip.
- 1:14:06[SPEAKER_02]: They're from Pesh, PECHE.
- 1:14:10[SPEAKER_02]: They have a store on the Lower East Side and they were literally ninety dollars.
- 1:14:15[SPEAKER_02]: the most simple.
- 1:14:16[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody's always asking me where I got these loafers from.
- 1:14:18[SPEAKER_02]: Thinking there's some fancy expensive shit.
- 1:14:20[SPEAKER_02]: They were ninety dollars.
- 1:14:22[SPEAKER_02]: They were at first.
- 1:14:24[SPEAKER_02]: I thought not that great of quality, but I ended up wearing them so much.
- 1:14:28[SPEAKER_02]: They're still standing.
- 1:14:29[SPEAKER_02]: They're still looking good and they're so comfortable.
- 1:14:32[SPEAKER_02]: So that's probably my favorite piece in my closet right now.
- 1:14:35[SPEAKER_02]: It's not really a piece though.
- 1:14:37[SPEAKER_02]: It's like my favorite something in my closet is something that I'm wearing to death.
- 1:14:42[SPEAKER_02]: I guess for me, it's not like something that I'm like, oh shit, this is like a piece, this is like so cool.
- 1:14:47[SPEAKER_06]: You know, what would you say my favorite shoe is?
- 1:14:49[SPEAKER_02]: You just said it.
- 1:14:50[SPEAKER_06]: I feel like you were talking over me, so nobody heard it.
- 1:14:53[SPEAKER_02]: Your dog Martins?
- 1:14:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:14:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:14:55[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you can keep your shirt, you don't have to go to shoes, just because I said my shoes.
- 1:14:58[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, or like my, my, uh, my diesel chains.
- 1:15:04[SPEAKER_02]: I would say if there was a piece, you would say your diesel jeans for sure, which is where I would say probably my James Street co-jackets.
- 1:15:12[SPEAKER_02]: I have two of those.
- 1:15:13[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:15:14[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, somebody asked, I guess it's for me.
- 1:15:17[SPEAKER_06]: Wait, favorite piece has to be.
- 1:15:20[SPEAKER_06]: It's a piece that I haven't worn yet.
- 1:15:22[SPEAKER_02]: What is it?
- 1:15:22[SPEAKER_02]: You're favorite though?
- 1:15:23[SPEAKER_06]: There are one that I got in in South Korea.
- 1:15:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't have the favorite though.
- 1:15:26[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I haven't worn it enough to even see.
- 1:15:29[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think you can claim it yet.
- 1:15:31[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I bought this shit in the summer and I've been just waiting for fall to get it because that's gonna be my jacket.
- 1:15:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, like you bought it in April and you haven't been able to wear until now.
- 1:15:40[SPEAKER_06]: I hope it's still I like it like it.
- 1:15:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's a true test.
- 1:15:44[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, somebody asked me, were you raised not to expect princess treatment, provider man, flowers, et cetera, or do you want it?
- 1:15:58[SPEAKER_02]: So I think this person is asking this because I'm always talking about how I don't really like these types of like quote unquote princess treatment, don't expect to be with a provider or man, whatever that means.
- 1:16:09[SPEAKER_02]: And I think
- 1:16:10[SPEAKER_02]: I wasn't like directly raised like my mom didn't sit me down and she was like this is the type of girl you're gonna grow up in.
- 1:16:18[SPEAKER_02]: I simply just learned by example and I think most of the women in my life but especially my mom and the way that she kind of I don't know conducted herself and her relationship with my dad like she just always was an exemplary
- 1:16:36[SPEAKER_02]: woman in the sense of carrying her own weight and never really relying on like my dad for anything like that and she was just never the type to want these sort of like
- 1:16:49[SPEAKER_02]: stereotypical feminine type of things.
- 1:16:52[SPEAKER_02]: And she didn't like intentionally like teach us that in any shape or form, but I just learned them over time.
- 1:17:01[SPEAKER_02]: She never made comments about expecting my dad to like give her flowers.
- 1:17:05[SPEAKER_02]: She always told my dad like to do things on his own.
- 1:17:09[SPEAKER_02]: She wasn't like in the kitchen cooking for her husband.
- 1:17:12[SPEAKER_02]: She that was not my mom.
- 1:17:14[SPEAKER_02]: You know, so I think I just learned
- 1:17:17[SPEAKER_06]: No, I'm a huge supportive of that, but I think for me there is one thing that is to me a little bit confusing about that whole thing.
- 1:17:28[SPEAKER_01]: What is it?
- 1:17:29[SPEAKER_06]: It's when we're talking about a man that's clearly stronger than you, helping you with a suitcase, going down the stairs.
- 1:17:39[SPEAKER_06]: I'm carrying my suitcase, for example, I don't know.
- 1:17:42[SPEAKER_06]: And I'm already downstairs.
- 1:17:44[SPEAKER_06]: And I look at you or any other woman.
- 1:17:48[SPEAKER_06]: And their suitcase is also heavy because your traveling is a lot of shit in there, right?
- 1:17:52[SPEAKER_06]: And there's a flight of stairs, like, twenty stairs.
- 1:17:56[SPEAKER_06]: And they are struggling to go down here.
- 1:17:59[SPEAKER_06]: And I'm not saying all women struggle but some do because she does have you.
- 1:18:02[SPEAKER_06]: I get it.
- 1:18:04[SPEAKER_06]: If you're with someone who's stronger than you, don't be so stubborn.
- 1:18:10[SPEAKER_06]: And just struggle down stairs.
- 1:18:15[SPEAKER_06]: And everybody can see that your man or whoever your weight is just looking at you, it almost looks the man look bad.
- 1:18:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:18:22[SPEAKER_06]: Like, you're not going to help her, but he knows that he's not helping because now he became, he got to a point to where it's like, I don't even know if I can offer help because, you know, women don't even know help.
- 1:18:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:18:36[SPEAKER_02]: I know what you mean.
- 1:18:37[SPEAKER_06]: So I started with that.
- 1:18:38[SPEAKER_06]: Not even with you.
- 1:18:39[SPEAKER_06]: Like I remember when I was at a working at the college shop at the restaurant in Seattle and then something was heavy and I saw my coworker, which was a girl.
- 1:18:47[SPEAKER_06]: She was struggling with caring, whatever it was.
- 1:18:52[SPEAKER_06]: And I was like, I can literally help her right now.
- 1:18:55[SPEAKER_06]: But I didn't ask, I didn't know what to do.
- 1:18:58[SPEAKER_06]: I think it's kind of like, it wasn't mic'd up before.
- 1:19:00[SPEAKER_06]: Before I was just like,
- 1:19:02[SPEAKER_06]: But it's two different types of women.
- 1:19:04[SPEAKER_06]: Some are like, you know, you want to please help me, you should just have me.
- 1:19:06[SPEAKER_06]: And I love that.
- 1:19:07[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, of course, no problem.
- 1:19:08[SPEAKER_06]: And when I help you with that, I don't think like, oh, yeah, I can help you because I'm stronger.
- 1:19:12[SPEAKER_06]: I don't think like that.
- 1:19:13[SPEAKER_02]: It's not that though.
- 1:19:15[SPEAKER_02]: It's hard to explain the, like, what happens in my mind.
- 1:19:19[SPEAKER_02]: I would say as a woman because I tend to kind of, it's not.
- 1:19:23[SPEAKER_02]: I'm always, I'm always like, do I carry this or do I help make, I don't know, because if I have a heavy suitcase and you have a heavy suitcase,
- 1:19:32[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like I also don't want to be that woman that's like, obviously he's going to carry both suitcases and I'm just going to be here chilling.
- 1:19:39[SPEAKER_06]: But we can do one at a time.
- 1:19:43[SPEAKER_02]: It depends of the scenario.
- 1:19:45[SPEAKER_06]: But what I'm saying is I get what you're saying, but when you zoom out, I feel like a lot of men are, we don't know what to do these days.
- 1:19:54[SPEAKER_06]: Do I offer help?
- 1:19:56[SPEAKER_06]: Does that insinuate that you're wicked in me?
- 1:19:59[SPEAKER_06]: But maybe you are because I can see it.
- 1:20:01[SPEAKER_02]: No, I don't think it's, I don't think it necessarily in comparison to you.
- 1:20:05[SPEAKER_06]: No, I'm saying to anybody if you are stronger than the woman.
- 1:20:10[SPEAKER_06]: Some relationships, maybe the woman is stronger than the man.
- 1:20:12[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know.
- 1:20:12[SPEAKER_02]: I've seen a lot of these video circulating online, I don't know if I sent it to, but it's like a compilation of videos of like a couple being on vacation and like she's carrying all the bags or like she has like the the cart and the baby and everything and the guys just like chilling on the side.
- 1:20:31[SPEAKER_02]: Now that I don't agree with obviously.
- 1:20:37[SPEAKER_06]: I get frustrated by that because I don't want to share the load.
- 1:20:41[SPEAKER_02]: I want to share the load like I don't feel good if you're caring everything and I'm just walking by you.
- 1:20:46[SPEAKER_02]: I don't feel good in that.
- 1:20:48[SPEAKER_06]: I know, but if there's something that you cannot carry, babe, do you have the pride to struggle?
- 1:20:54[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, if it's something I can't carry, yeah, but then I also just feel like it depends when we were in the airport.
- 1:21:01[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 1:21:01[SPEAKER_06]: I have a specific trip.
- 1:21:03[SPEAKER_06]: I have a specific trip in mind, and I'm not, I'm not going to like, mention it, but I just remember like, I was like, it doesn't need to be this way with you.
- 1:21:13[SPEAKER_02]: Because I've been letting you carry my shit.
- 1:21:14[SPEAKER_06]: No, like,
- 1:21:18[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I think I know what you're talking about, which I mean, that's like, everybody's also different.
- 1:21:23[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't know, like, everybody's different.
- 1:21:25[SPEAKER_02]: They're probably thinking like, you already carried our bags and his bags and whatever.
- 1:21:30[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 1:21:31[SPEAKER_02]: All I'm saying is that in general, when I think about this is like, maybe years ago, I was a little bit more intense with.
- 1:21:38[SPEAKER_02]: You know, like, I can carry this right and carry that because the something at the beginning was always like, oh, the guy got to open the door for you.
- 1:21:46[SPEAKER_02]: She's like, I'm like, who gives a fuck?
- 1:21:48[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I don't know.
- 1:21:48[SPEAKER_02]: In my mind, like, these things don't matter being the door being open for you.
- 1:21:53[SPEAKER_02]: It's like that doesn't tickle me in any type of way.
- 1:21:55[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, oh my god, that's a gentleman, like who cares?
- 1:21:58[SPEAKER_02]: That's not what's important.
- 1:21:59[SPEAKER_02]: What's important to me is being a good communicator, like not being toxic.
- 1:22:03[SPEAKER_02]: That's the type of relationship I want to have.
- 1:22:04[SPEAKER_02]: I don't need a relationship where shiv will reuse alive.
- 1:22:07[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, I could get a list of shit about that.
- 1:22:09[SPEAKER_02]: What does that do for me?
- 1:22:10[SPEAKER_02]: You can be all chivalrous, but I don't know, be like a shitty person.
- 1:22:15[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:22:15[SPEAKER_02]: Congratulations.
- 1:22:17[SPEAKER_06]: Well, we can tell this is your passion about that and I feel you.
- 1:22:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because I feel like people are fixated on the wrong things.
- 1:22:24[SPEAKER_02]: People are saying, like, he didn't open a door for me.
- 1:22:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's what matters to you for me.
- 1:22:29[SPEAKER_06]: I'll pull the chair out for me to sit on.
- 1:22:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, like okay.
- 1:22:32[SPEAKER_06]: Like you can pull your own chair.
- 1:22:33[SPEAKER_06]: It's okay.
- 1:22:34[SPEAKER_02]: Like also you want a man that pulls your own chair that pulls your chair but is like whatever or do you want a guy that is just like normal?
- 1:22:43[SPEAKER_02]: Like I don't know these are just like old school things that in my mind don't do anything for me.
- 1:22:48[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 1:22:48[SPEAKER_06]: No, honesty.
- 1:22:49[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, you've been better with the, me help.
- 1:22:52[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, yeah, when it comes to like caring shit or like I can't reach it in the, I can't reach anything like in the, in the cupboards and stuff.
- 1:23:00[SPEAKER_02]: I ask you to get it.
- 1:23:01[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, but I just want you also to, and I'm not saying you didn't acknowledge, but do you see what I'm saying by women holding back clearly they need help, but they won't do it because they, they, because there's a level of like, I can do this on my own.
- 1:23:16[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, but what if they can't?
- 1:23:18[SPEAKER_02]: But usually they can, if they can't, like, the shit will fall or they will fall or something.
- 1:23:23[SPEAKER_02]: Like, if a woman was traveling on her own, she would carry that shit on her own, right?
- 1:23:30[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I guess so.
- 1:23:31[SPEAKER_02]: No, I'm asking.
- 1:23:32[SPEAKER_06]: I felt like I'm trying to say something bigger than that.
- 1:23:35[SPEAKER_06]: Like, there's, I'm not, I don't, I don't mean that if it's not, it's not about not being able to carry it, but needing help.
- 1:23:44[SPEAKER_06]: I feel like we somehow got to this place to where it's like I don't need help because like even I can ask for help if some shit is I don't know too heavy for me or like you know why is this like also such a big deal for you like if the girl wants to struggle and lift her own shit like let her
- 1:24:06[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, no, and I do, but it's just frustrating for me as a man because I'm like, what are we doing?
- 1:24:11[SPEAKER_06]: Like, it's not that serious, but I mean, carry it.
- 1:24:15[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:24:18[SPEAKER_02]: Somebody asked how to start conversations with new people and how to make friends as an adult.
- 1:24:24[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like how to start having conversations with people that are new and strangers is the best way is for you to have like things in your life that you can easily talk about.
- 1:24:36[SPEAKER_06]: Talking to strangers?
- 1:24:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's like, do you play a sport?
- 1:24:39[SPEAKER_02]: Do you watch a specific genre of movies?
- 1:24:42[SPEAKER_02]: Do you read specific books?
- 1:24:43[SPEAKER_02]: Like, bring up a random shit that you're into.
- 1:24:46[SPEAKER_06]: No one always starts talking to strangers?
- 1:24:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, how to start conversations with new people.
- 1:24:51[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, I mean, a good thing is to compliment someone's outfit.
- 1:24:56[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, that's a great way to start.
- 1:24:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's actually that's very true.
- 1:25:00[SPEAKER_06]: If I see someone as stranger, then they have a camera, I would say,
- 1:25:05[SPEAKER_06]: Hey, what kind of camera is that?
- 1:25:07[SPEAKER_06]: Like something like that, just, just, but to me, these things come pretty naturally, so I'm not, it's not something I think too much about.
- 1:25:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, I would say because I was somebody that, and I still am somebody that has a certain level of social anxiety, when it comes to these types of things, it's more like rebel for going to the event.
- 1:25:26[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just like, you know, I don't feel like,
- 1:25:30[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just a little bit anxious, but then once I'm there, I feel like what always helps me is the fact that I have random things that I can just bring up.
- 1:25:41[SPEAKER_02]: random things as I said from you know do you I don't know do you cook I just as random questions hey what's your name Jessica do you cook no it's like do you read what books are you into with a favorite book like just basic shit I feel like might think that's like
- 1:26:01[SPEAKER_06]: start with that.
- 1:26:02[SPEAKER_06]: That's like two aggressive.
- 1:26:03[SPEAKER_06]: That'd be so fun at first.
- 1:26:04[SPEAKER_06]: I've never heard what kind of books you're reading.
- 1:26:06[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, obviously my first question is like, how do you know so and so?
- 1:26:11[SPEAKER_02]: Like, how did you get here?
- 1:26:14[SPEAKER_02]: Like, what's your connection to where we're at?
- 1:26:16[SPEAKER_05]: You've got a lot of practice with these things.
- 1:26:18[SPEAKER_06]: I'm very proud of you because you were that person who didn't know how to do this.
- 1:26:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:26:21[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's always some sort of like basically what brought you to where we are right now.
- 1:26:26[SPEAKER_06]: And who do you know?
- 1:26:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and who do you know?
- 1:26:28[SPEAKER_02]: And then from there, it's like, do you live in the city?
- 1:26:30[SPEAKER_02]: Are you visiting where you from?
- 1:26:31[SPEAKER_02]: What's your background?
- 1:26:33[SPEAKER_02]: How long have you been in the yard?
- 1:26:35[SPEAKER_06]: I also felt like asking people what do you do for work.
- 1:26:38[SPEAKER_02]: I always wait a long time until I know.
- 1:26:40[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know why, but I feel like it's like a personal question.
- 1:26:43[SPEAKER_02]: Well, no, I think it's because specifically in this city, people be weird with their occupations.
- 1:26:49[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know, they feel like everybody needs to say something cool.
- 1:26:52[SPEAKER_02]: And if you don't do something cool, it's in the spaces that we're in, I do think so.
- 1:26:55[SPEAKER_02]: Because we don't, we're not really in spaces that are sort, quote unquote normal, where the people like have regular nine to five jobs.
- 1:27:03[SPEAKER_02]: Most of the spaces that we end up in are people that are in some way creative.
- 1:27:07[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, what project are you working on?
- 1:27:09[SPEAKER_02]: Like, what are you doing right now?
- 1:27:11[SPEAKER_02]: That's that, which I kind of hate, but I also like, you know.
- 1:27:16[SPEAKER_02]: It's a funny place to navigate.
- 1:27:18[SPEAKER_06]: But I don't ask people what to do for a living for some reason.
- 1:27:20[SPEAKER_02]: No, I don't ask them what they do for work for like a minute.
- 1:27:24[SPEAKER_06]: Unless they ask me.
- 1:27:25[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, of course, it to ask me.
- 1:27:26[SPEAKER_06]: Most of the time, I don't even wait till people ask me, I just tell them what I do.
- 1:27:31[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah.
- 1:27:31[SPEAKER_02]: That's part of my conversation.
- 1:27:32[SPEAKER_02]: I do not offer what I do because I just feel like it's cringe.
- 1:27:38[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, why?
- 1:27:39[SPEAKER_02]: To be like, I'm a YouTube.
- 1:27:41[SPEAKER_02]: How do you just bring that shit up?
- 1:27:43[SPEAKER_04]: You can.
- 1:27:44[SPEAKER_02]: No, I just, I usually do not talk about what I do until I'm asked.
- 1:27:48[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, well, depend, to me, depends on where the conversation goes.
- 1:27:51[SPEAKER_06]: But usually, I, I don't know.
- 1:27:54[SPEAKER_06]: I'm just excited about what I'm doing right now.
- 1:27:57[SPEAKER_06]: No, that makes sense.
- 1:27:58[SPEAKER_06]: So I just want to tell people.
- 1:27:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:28:00[SPEAKER_02]: Well, you guys, this is going to be the end of part one of the Q&A.
- 1:28:04[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to move on to Patreon and we're going to continue the questions.
- 1:28:07[SPEAKER_02]: That was about fifty of them.
- 1:28:09[SPEAKER_02]: We tried our best.
- 1:28:10[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, was that most of them?
- 1:28:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it was most of them.
- 1:28:12[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, nice.
- 1:28:13[SPEAKER_02]: That's the first one.
- 1:28:14[SPEAKER_02]: Most of the first half.
- 1:28:15[SPEAKER_06]: That was fun.
- 1:28:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:28:17[SPEAKER_02]: So if you want to hear more questions.
- 1:28:20[SPEAKER_06]: Yes.
- 1:28:20[SPEAKER_02]: You can go over to Patreon.
- 1:28:21[SPEAKER_02]: It's linked out into the description.
- 1:28:23[SPEAKER_02]: You can check it out over there.
- 1:28:25[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to stay something.
- 1:28:26[SPEAKER_06]: I was just going to say, like if you guys want us to do more Q&As like that, I'm down to the dishes.
- 1:28:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Q&As are fun.
- 1:28:31[SPEAKER_06]: Because with each answer, we can carry that shit and really talk about it.
- 1:28:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we can talk about ten questions if you really wanted to.
- 1:28:39[SPEAKER_02]: Give us ten.
- 1:28:40[SPEAKER_02]: We'll talk about it for two hours.
- 1:28:41[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, so like if we should do more Q&A's, let us know because I'm here.
- 1:28:48[SPEAKER_06]: That was chill.
- 1:28:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that was chill.
- 1:28:50[SPEAKER_02]: So thanks for tuning in, listening.
- 1:28:52[SPEAKER_06]: Longest episode of season.
- 1:28:54[SPEAKER_02]: Really?
- 1:28:55[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 1:28:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:28:56[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's why we do what we do.
- 1:28:59[SPEAKER_06]: This reminds me of season one.
- 1:29:01[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god.
- 1:29:01[SPEAKER_02]: If you were in your season one, why do we have an episode about San Francisco that was two hours long?
- 1:29:06[SPEAKER_06]: then we just talked about San Francisco section.
- 1:29:08[SPEAKER_06]: We did.
- 1:29:09[SPEAKER_02]: No, we just like, I think we didn't know.
- 1:29:11[SPEAKER_02]: We like didn't know how to navigate talking about a trip.
- 1:29:16[SPEAKER_02]: That was the first time that we talked about a trip on the podcast.
- 1:29:19[SPEAKER_06]: But we were also just like just talking about.
- 1:29:21[SPEAKER_06]: And people love that episode.
- 1:29:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:29:23[SPEAKER_06]: But if you want to hear about our San Francisco trip, go to season one is called San Fran or San Francisco.
- 1:29:29[SPEAKER_02]: No, I don't think we call it San Fran.
- 1:29:31[SPEAKER_06]: San Francisco.
- 1:29:32[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 1:29:33[SPEAKER_02]: All right, you guys talk later.
- 1:29:35[SPEAKER_06]: Talk later guys.
- 1:29:36[SPEAKER_06]: Thanks for hanging now.
- 1:29:37[SPEAKER_02]: I hope this hour and a half was useful and entertaining entertaining and if you have more questions if you have more questions leave them in comments Yeah, yeah, maybe we're comments Well, what we said I don't know whatever you want say something in the comments
- 1:29:54[SPEAKER_06]: I just have something for the comments for all the women out there.
- 1:29:57[SPEAKER_06]: Do you feel what I'm, what I was trying to say about the helping when you need help?
- 1:30:02[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I know you can do it, but it's, I feel like, I feel like you understood what I was saying.
- 1:30:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but I also think you have a thing with that.
- 1:30:09[SPEAKER_02]: Like it's okay.
- 1:30:10[SPEAKER_02]: It's like something's hard for me.
- 1:30:12[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm gonna try to do it myself.
- 1:30:14[SPEAKER_02]: Like it's also okay.
- 1:30:16[SPEAKER_02]: Just because a man is around doesn't mean that I have to get help.
- 1:30:19[SPEAKER_06]: So when do I know when to offer help?
- 1:30:22[SPEAKER_06]: Just don't offer?
- 1:30:25[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, so that's your thing.
- 1:30:26[SPEAKER_02]: You just don't know.
- 1:30:27[SPEAKER_06]: I'm trying to be because I don't know when to offer a win.
- 1:30:30[SPEAKER_06]: Do you need it?
- 1:30:31[SPEAKER_06]: Because sometimes it happened to me with coworkers in the past when I offered.
- 1:30:34[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, yes, please.
- 1:30:35[SPEAKER_06]: Thank you.
- 1:30:36[SPEAKER_06]: And I felt so bad.
- 1:30:37[SPEAKER_06]: Like, damn, I could offer you that shit.
- 1:30:39[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, but nobody's thinking like, damn, he didn't ask me for help.
- 1:30:43[SPEAKER_06]: No, that is sometimes sometimes that is the case.
- 1:30:47[SPEAKER_06]: So when it's struggling and you're just standing there,
- 1:30:51[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know if I'm measuring you off, you offer help.
- 1:30:53[SPEAKER_02]: If I'm trying to open a bottle and I can't open it, like after a few tries, I'm gonna give it to you and you're gonna open it.
- 1:31:00[SPEAKER_02]: But like, immediately when I can't do it one time, you already are like, babe, I got it.
- 1:31:05[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, no, no, no.
- 1:31:06[SPEAKER_02]: I got it.
- 1:31:07[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, get it.
- 1:31:08[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I know, but you get, you have to like, problem with me.
- 1:31:11[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, let me try a few times.
- 1:31:14[SPEAKER_06]: It's not a problem.
- 1:31:15[SPEAKER_06]: It's not even about you.
- 1:31:16[SPEAKER_06]: I'm talking about like strangers.
- 1:31:18[SPEAKER_06]: Like if I'm on a bus or just.
- 1:31:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but also we don't know.
- 1:31:21[SPEAKER_02]: Like as women sometimes someone's trying to help you.
- 1:31:23[SPEAKER_02]: Like you don't know me.
- 1:31:24[SPEAKER_02]: They want some other shift from you.
- 1:31:25[SPEAKER_02]: Like strangers are tricky, babe.
- 1:31:27[SPEAKER_06]: True.
- 1:31:28[SPEAKER_06]: Usually, I remember one of these last flights that we had, you know how like on an airplane, you can take your luggage from the overhead thing.
- 1:31:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:31:36[SPEAKER_06]: And then some later was struggling because her shit was like, I remember and I told you to help her.
- 1:31:41[SPEAKER_06]: And I didn't know because I'm like,
- 1:31:45[SPEAKER_06]: Can she do it so I was watching and I was like no of course in that case I would have you in a helper
- 1:31:52[SPEAKER_02]: That's why I was like, they weren't you doing anything.
- 1:31:53[SPEAKER_02]: Because you were on the aisle seat.
- 1:31:55[SPEAKER_06]: No, no.
- 1:31:55[SPEAKER_06]: I was just like, I don't know.
- 1:31:56[SPEAKER_06]: It's twenty twenty five.
- 1:31:57[SPEAKER_06]: We're like, I don't know.
- 1:31:58[SPEAKER_02]: Nah.
- 1:31:59[SPEAKER_06]: Trust me.
- 1:32:01[SPEAKER_06]: I've done that before and ended up like, no, no, no, I got it.
- 1:32:03[SPEAKER_06]: That happened to me before.
- 1:32:04[SPEAKER_06]: I've seen both sides.
- 1:32:06[SPEAKER_02]: Well, shit.
- 1:32:07[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 1:32:07[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what to tell you.
- 1:32:09[SPEAKER_02]: Let us know what you guys think in the comments.
- 1:32:11[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like it's an internal thing happening in myself that I don't know.
