- Liam: What's up? Welcome to the Forth and T podcast presented by me, Liam, and my fellow host, Jamie. How you doing today, mate? Jamie: Good, very good actually. Buzzing week three, Venafel has gone so quickly. Good, yeah, I'm in the Pampers locker room today, so buzzing. So yeah, not bad for the video listeners anyway. Liam: feasting on those good vibes. Jamie: Yeah, exactly, yeah, no table tennis tables this week. We'll do that when we lose at home. But yeah, not too bad, how you doing? Liam: Doing good, mate. think we mentioned in the last pod that we were on Costa del Illness. I think we're still there. We're still Jamie: still there. Liam: on the sniffles. That was a fun edit. We got raided by the police in the last episode. We got interruptions by ghosts. So we had it all going on. Hopefully today goes smoother. But after week two and our week two review, who knows what's going on? yeah, apart from that, Jamie. Is there anything you're just looking forward to this week? Just like, you know, any pre-games, anything that you've been reading the news, like what's been happening that's just exciting you in that NFL world? Jamie: Well, it's not exciting, but it's the hilarious reaction to Caleb Williams, I think on socials right now. There's Jackson Dart, we'll go over Monday Night Football in a bit, in a couple of minutes, but Jackson Dart is out now for the whole season. And then he managed to just walk off by himself, you know, like a trooper. then Caleb Williams, who fair enough is going to be out next week as well. We'll get into that in the preview. but he could be back in week four with a little hamstring strain and he was crying underneath a towel on a cart. So I think that's been, that's been my highlight. It's been the fun bit, I think so far, but what about you? Liam: love it. Yeah, for me, you know what, unreal? This Caleb Jackson D'Art business is just, it's just the one, isn't it? I think what a man Jackson D'Art is. I know I've been getting a bit caught up in big blue hysteria, whew, Jackson D'Art walking around just shouldn't be walking, he? Caleb, yeah, maybe shouldn't Jamie: No, maybe shouldn't have walked. Maybe. Liam: have walked. Caleb should be walking, but there we go. I mean, lot of injuries as well. mean, I need less injuries in my life. Fantasy is getting a little bit sweaty. So I think that's another thing stress, you know, I'm sweating from my illness. And I'm sweating from all of the injuries that happen in destroying my fantasy leagues. Jamie: You know, I've got, so I've got three different fantasies. Obviously you've got one that we're in, we're both in, but I've got Alec Pearson, another one, and, he's now an IR. So he's out for four to six, you know, at least four weeks. I have a love affair with Jonathan Brooks. Obviously he's been out for the last two years because of ACO injuries to both, both of his legs. He's now out, for six weeks. Liam: But it's completely feasible to have Alec Pearce, like AJ Brown, Kyla Murray, Jamie: Yeah, I've got AJ Brown as well. Yeah. Liam: yeah, Kyla Murray. Like you could have had like half of your like main planned starters out like for the first two weeks. that's crazy. Jamie: Yeah, you could have Dart, could have all these players and they're all out. They're all basically not finished or some of them are, yeah, I was just actually going to... Liam: And when you've got this fantasy money on the line, it's all a for play. So, before we get into it, we are a brand new podcast. We're gonna say this every time for the first year. Jamie: Until we're not. Liam: Until we're not, until enough of you like and subscribe. We are 4th and T, a UK NFL podcast. We're on all the major channels and today is our Mark E preview show. We go through in quick fashion all the games, the main takeaways and vibes and predictions of them all in the game week. It's game week three. We're then gonna do a wild take of the week. Mine and Jamie's wild prediction. Then we're gonna do players to avoid in fantasy. We're then gonna do our four come of the week. The team that we think are not gonna make it. to the playoffs, we pick a new team every week on this pod. The Browns and the Dolphins are on the pile so far. Then we do our survivor pick and you can follow along doing our little survivor challenge, but also take on the recommendations as you go along. So very quickly before we get into the reviews, Jamie, would you like to kick us off with Monday Night Football? Jamie: Yeah, Monday Night Football, we sort of covered it. get well, well, the highlight or low light for Giants fans was was Jackson Dart getting injured and the Rams and Aaron Donald. What a comeback now. So first game back for Sack, Liam's devastated the Rams actually won a game. I think it's a it's sad for Giants fans. I think they were just getting a bit of head of head of steam. in terms of like, maybe we've actually got a team that's going to be challenging at least, or maybe we'll finish in second. Isn't it that James is claiming that they're going to do, aim high. So, Liam: James has scientific evidence the Giants are going to finish second and I wonder if it's still going to stand up after that match. Jamie: Yeah, no chance. But then you had obviously, James Winston come in. He think he could make things happen. But he didn't. But he did. He got over 100 passing yards. Kam Skataboo just couldn't get going 36 rushing yards as well for him. And then Matt Stafford showed. Matt Stafford's Matt Stafford, four touchdown passes, 327 yards. And your pick for not to play on fantasy, Devonta Adams beat up the Giants as well with 100 plus yards. of a touchdown so yeah. Liam: Yeah, I mean, rough night for the Giants, the New York Giants, Jamie: when it... Liam: big blue gutted. think you lose Jackson Dart, I think on the 14th play, something like that, well early. Jamie: Yeah, I was ready early on, yeah. Liam: You lose Jackson Dart, you also lose neighbors in this game. You also lose Brian Burns in this game. I think, I'm not sure what we can take from this game because ultimately, That is a battered, demotivated team. And I was so excited to see a fully charged unit, but you lose your quarterback, you lose your star wide receiver, you lose your heartbeat of the defense, right? And I just don't even know if you've got any motivation. So well done to the Rams. I've got to eat some words here because I gave it the biggin'. I was dissing the Rams and I was biggin' at the Giants. I got my prediction wrong, but I- still would have loved to have seen it, you know, ones versus ones. So I guess we'll never know. To me, that still leaves a question mark on the Rams. Jamie: Really? Liam: Yeah, do you think that proves that they're good? Jamie: Mmmmm Liam: home against a Giants team without Dart, without Neighbours, without Brian Burns. Jamie: No I did have me some Brian Burns. But Liam: Lady. Jamie: obviously not by us at all. But no, Liam: This man loves cats. Jamie: I do have the noise in. But yeah, well maybe. I guess we'll find out week three. Liam: Guess we'll find out week three. Jamie: Cool, Liam: Cool. So quick note though, Aaron Donald looking good. Seeing some, I think it's a triple Jamie: Yeah. Liam: team. the fact that he's still demanding that level of respect. Awesome. Jamie: and he's still got us for the quarterback. Liam: and he's still got there, so yeah. Big up, A, D. I still, do you know what? Whatever I think about the Rams, Aaron Donald is the man, so. Jamie: Yeah, one of my favorite stories how he made some, some bloke throw up. If you want to look at that story, it's like some make wish kid who's like, okay, now and all that sort of stuff. So like he got past all the kinds of Freeman massed, I haven't tells it better, but go have a look on YouTube. He basically just makes this kid do, bicep curls and makes him throw up in the trash. Liam: To be fair to that kid who lived his dream out, living the Aaron Donald lifestyle, Jamie: That is his dream, yeah. Liam: he also did the same to Jared verse. So Jared verse and worked at his house and Jared verse was trying to get away from it. And Aaron Donald was like, you're not allowed to leave. And he was like ringing up all of his friends and partner and was like, no, Jared verse can't leave. And then he was like being sick as well. I think that that Aaron Donald's a beast. Jamie: That's the Donald effect. Liam: Awesome. On to the game previews of week three. So first up, we've got Thursday Night Football and we've got the Falcons at the Packers. So. This is not the most exciting Thursday night football that I could think of, but they do try to squeeze most people in. And I can understand that maybe if those teams have got off to a hot start, maybe that this would have been a bit exciting. However, I think... Well, one thing to note, Michael Pennex Jr., he is going to be starting on that shut turnaround. The Falcons didn't want to start him in week two and then risk getting injured. So I think that is actually something I'm excited to see an actual quarterback with these weapons on the Falcons. Are we going to see a bounce back there? And actually don't know if I would have thought this, but this is actually terrible timing for the Green Bay Packers who have looked. Apart from the first half against the Vikings, the Packers have looked absolutely lackluster. They just looked conservative. They haven't looked like they could push the ball down the field. They're also now battling injuries. And this is going to be, can any of these pretty bad teams actually step up and play consistently good football if the Falcons are in this game towards the end of the match? I would not want to be a Green Bay Packer playing at home with that crowd in a contest or losing to this Falcons team, which surely has to make a small bounce back with Pennex Jr. as long as he can stay on the pitch. Not a lot more to say than that. Jamie, anything to add? Jamie: No, but as a UK based NFL fan, I'm delighted to say I'll be having a full night's sleep this Thursday night. Thank you. And I'll have a much better Sunday, not having to see the Falcons offense. So thank you to the people who saw that schedule out. But yeah, easy Green Bay win. Liam: Question for you, Jamie, Jamie: yes. Liam: is it gonna be a full replay or a short highlights replay? Or is it score depending? Jamie: It might even, I think it's score dependent. And it will be, I would look at the stats. I might not even look at the highlights. Liam: that's pretty rough. Jamie: You Liam: And you're going green bay, did you say? Jamie: Screen bar, Liam: This one actually had me a bit, this might have been my biggest tussle for the match, but I think in Green Bay, I've got to go with them. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: I'm Green Bay as well, lock it up. So, onto the next one. Jamie, your Panthers at the Cleveland Browns. Jamie: And actually quite an inch. actually, I'm gonna say I don't know and like being up being like, is it going to be the Browns? Is it going to be the Panthers? It's going to be the Panthers. Obviously, Panthers, you know, I'm going to weirdly, I'm to be backing them every single week. don't mean to back them every week. Look at the teams we're playing Cleveland Browns. Are they good? I don't know. Cause they did go to Tamper and win. I can't remember the last time the Panthers done that. So that, gives them something. The Sean Watson did actually look rather competent. But then our defense leads the NFL in takeaways. Our offense is the second highest scoring in the NFL right now. I can't not say Carolina Panthers. Liam: I'm going to agree. I'm Carolina Panthers all the way. Jamie: Hey, nice. Liam: NFC South doubling down. Jamie, we're double Panthers again. What's going on? We need some Jamie: again. I know. Liam: double books at some point, but I don't know if that's going to happen this week. Jamie: You Liam: Denzel Boston stepping up. Fancy way for why he was live. Everyone was after him. He looked like a proper weapon. That's the future. That's exciting for Cleveland right there. Forget about anything else. Denzel Boston stepping up. You've got... Concepcion. I don't know why I'm saying it in that funny language. Concepcion. Yeah, you Jamie: Concepcion. I don't know, it just sounds good doesn't it? Concepcion. Liam: you've actually got something going on. Quid-shon Junkins. Junkins not had the best start, but you know, again, solid. Like you've got this, you've got this fanon, how fanon tight end. You've got this exciting bass here. That being said, the Panthers are on a bit of roll. What's not to like if you're Pan... If you're Jamie. a Panthers fan right now. So yeah, I'm also going to go with the Carolina Panthers. Lock it up. Jamie: of Just lock it up. Quick news. Austin Eklers getting worked out by the Panthers right this second because we haven't got Jonathan Brooks. Now you have in Hubbard, AJ Dillon, Austin Eckler. Liam: Austin Eklund. Jamie: on. All pro, former all pro. We might have, it's the best trio of running backs in NFL right now. AJ Dillon, Austin Eckler, Chuba Hubbard. Liam: Breaking news, Jamie, we love it on this show, don't we? We love breaking news. right. Next game, Bills against the Chargers. Again, the Bills blender is gonna keep rolling downhill with this one. Chargers, calamitous start to the season. Absolutely dreadful. Not Justin Herbert, we need to see something from you. Even if we saw something from the Chargers though, the Buffalo Bills, how good do they look? If they, if it wasn't for the Seahawks being undefeated Super Bowl champions, could you not like, it would be a standalone number one at the top of any power rankings being the Buffalo Bills. Josh Allen looks awesome. Like the offense looks amazing at high mark again. It's going to be another win. I'm predicting the bills. think a couple of bits to know charges. You've got to pull all your tricks out the back here. You want to be in contention. You've not got behind too far yet. Like, so you, you've got to go for a knockout blow. So let's just see, let's just see if they can put one spicy quarter together. I just can't see it really happening with like the incompetency plus the turnovers plus the terrible play plus the. plus the terrible defense, like can't see it. Like Mike McDaniel, you're meant to be a genius coach. Can you actually scheme up a madness? Cause I don't know if the Bill's defense is like fully elite. However, maybe a more exciting point. I want every piece of Bill's fantasy assets I can get my hands on. I mean, obviously Josh Allen, obviously the Bill's defense, obviously James Cook. Obviously Dalton Kincaid. With DJ Mort out, I've picked up Josh Palmer and I've tried to pick up Coleman in the league as well. So I want every bit of it. Jamie: I'm up against Josh Allen in one of my fantasy games, but so it's gonna it's gonna hurt when I see him run up. I don't know how they could score. We'll get to our wild takes the week, but they could score quite a load. Chargers got no chance. If they can't cook up against the Cardinals or the Raiders, they ain't cooking against the Bills. Let Liam: The charges can't cook. Jamie: them cook. Just burn every single week. And I think the child is going to get burnt again. So they're to go nought and three and the bills are going to make another. I wouldn't say statement wing, so I expect them. think everyone expects them to win, but it's it's the bills for me. Liam: for me. Okay, on to the next one with Jamie and it's the Texans at the Colts. Jamie: This, obviously, AFC South matchup, this is probably my toughest one of the week. It's a call. in a way, but then I was the Alec Pierce is now out. He's now an IR. so that's another weapon gone for the Colts. Will Jonathan Taylor be that productive against the Texans D line? I don't know. I can't really, I can't back him to say yes. The only thing the Colts have got for them is that they're at home. That's what I've got for the Colts. The Texans though, they got no one to throw it to. So you've got, could they, is it basically who's probably going to get more turnovers? But then Obviously, Sunday Night Football, the Colts went to the Chiefs and slapped on 30 points. Or 30, was it 30, 33, whatever it was. So then they've obviously got scoring power in them, but I don't know, that Texans D line does look quite, it's always been good, but now they're flying around again. I'm edging Texans. I might need your help on this one. I just don't know. Texans, who's he your friend to? Himself. Liam: I said it last week, Jamie, who for all the CJ Stroud hate, who has he got? Like I would rather have Miami's wide receiver room than this Houston wide receiver room, which is absolutely ridiculous. So that being said, the cults, no Alec Pierce. Jamie. know what to say. Tense one. It's going to be a slugfest. I've got to go with the better unit, which I do believe is just about the Texans defense, even though I don't think it's quite what it was last year at the minute. Not a lot to say about the Colts though. They've not stepped up in the same way that did last year. So I'm going to go with the Texans. Awesome. On to the next one. So I've got Seahawks at the Washington Commanders. Again, we covered it at the end of last week. Jayden Daniels is not about, he's not playing. I don't know how long he's going to be out, but that was, that was a nasty injury. So it's the battle of the backup quarterbacks. Seattle, it's a proven commodity. At this point, Drew Locke looks like he could be a starter at a competent team somewhere else. He's not Sam Darnold, but Drew looks like he could be a, he's a, he's a gunslinger. He's not playing simple offense. You know, he's not doing these basic reads. Like they tricked the Cardinals in the first play of the game with a non basic play for a backup quarterback, which allowed JSN to go full length for a touchdown. This is a, this is a beast of an offense. JSN is on fire. That being said, it is a backup quarterback and the Seahawks have got to sort out this running game a little bit. If I'm going to try and play a little bit devil's advocate. However, without a starting wide receiver, without a starting one quarterback, not running back not wide receiver without a starting quarterback. Washington I don't even think gonna have the confidence to attempt to beat this defense. The Seattle defense is all consuming. I just want to see the Seattle consistency continue and grow and just continue to be this beast that it is. So yeah, it's just a Seattle Seahawks win for me. Jamie: Yep, totally agree. Sea Hawks win. Marcus Mariota against Drew Luck. Now that's my kind of prime time, you know, but at least we get to watch it on Red Zone instead. yeah, Sea Hawks by a mile. Liam: But I have got a good little fact for you though, Jamie. Jamie: yes, go on. Liam: Do you know what a seahawk is? Jamie: What do you mean? Like, it's just a bird, Liam: Mate, Jamie: isn't it? Liam: as we mentioned, a UK podcast. You've heard of an Osprey, haven't you? Jamie: Yeah. Liam: A seahawk is an osprey. I heard this the Jamie: was Liam: other day and I hope I haven't got that wrong, but it blew my mind a little bit. Jamie: Why are they called the Seahawks then? Liam: I don't know Jamie because it probably has an S at the beginning like Seattle. Jamie: would make sense. No it is, yeah. A seahawk is not... Liam: Thank you. Thank you for not trusting me. Jamie: yeah cheers Google. It's traditional nickname for a large fish-eating coastal bird most commonly yeah the the osprey. Liam: Well, Jamie: There you go. Liam: Jamie will save it for the nature pod. Come Jamie: Yeah, coming soon. Liam: and see, onto the next one, Jamie. It's Jeeves at Dolphins. Jamie: Well, the Chiefs look absolutely on fire, don't they? I mean, I think they're going to take Liam: yeah. Jamie: some. Now, when we do get to the power rankings eventually, we'll put them out on our socials. Make sure to follow. The Chiefs are probably, I mean, I'll put them in top three just behind the Bills and Seattle right now, because the Chiefs, Liam: Same as me. Jamie: yeah, Chiefs look on fire. Everything about them, their defense. gets the job done. know it wasn't exactly great against the Colts, took them by surprise, but against the Broncos, looked very good. They looked on fire. What are they going to do to the Dolphins? I've got the Chiefs in one of my fantasies as well for my defence special teams. I'm like, they're going to be cooking. I can't wait. Liam: Right. Jamie still hates dolphins and we're gonna get cancelled. We're not even gonna be able to launch an age pod at this point. I Jamie: Yeah true, yeah. Liam: that is that that was I think that was the other most hotly contested asset after Denzel Boston was the chief's defense for today for this for this Jamie: Yeah. Liam: game week. Jamie: Yeah. Yeah. I'm open to offers if anyone wants to wants to trade, but they're going to score high. And I think, I did put my notes chiefs by 60. I won't be that, I won't be that horrible, but definitely a chiefs, a chiefs win and chiefs are flying. and they're going to take some stop in again. Liam: I am taking the handicap on the Chiefs this week. They are gonna run it up on the Dolphins. cannot see. The Dolphins at this point aren't even a speed bump to anybody's offense, let alone playing some of these good offenses that they're playing. So bad time to be a Dolphin. Apart from that, I think I'm excited to see what Patrick. What things that Patrick Holmes unlocks this week? We had this really heavy run attack in week one. They didn't have to change. Last week, they mixed it up. There's passing at all the different levels in the backfield, as well as supporting that with a good running game again. Do they dominate with just passing? Are they gonna hit the layers? Like, this is a good way for them to set up the week after. So I'm gonna be paying attention to that Chief's offense to just see. in what way they're going to mix up that attack. And to be honest, I think they might be able to do whatever they want. Awesome. On to the next one. And it's a big one. Patriots down in Florida at the Jaguars. So this is going to be one of the bigger games of the week. Maybe the best game in that early red zone slate. This obviously last year Super Bowl runners up the New England Patriots against the upstarts the Jacksonville Jaguars. I like everything about this Jaguars team. They just probably don't have the results against the big teams yet. They're at home, got something to prove. Horse boy Trevor, the quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He, I think he's so good. And they've got passing game, they've got a running game. Excited to see how that goes against the New England Patriots. The New England Patriots. I'm not sure what they are. There is something in there. They have got the potential to do things like they did last year, but they're down wide receivers. Obviously we said that AJ Brown is out, not ideal. So again, a little bit of a Texan situation. You got rid of Booty, who's now in the Texans ironically, and who is Drake May passing to? I need Drake May to have a big step up for fantasy because at the minute he feels like he was a bird of a pick. You could have picked up Malik Willis. You could have picked up Tyler Shuck in the last round of the draft at this point. He needs to prove his value to the fantasy owners. But this is a tough one. I like the Jags defense. And I like the Jags offense. I see the potential of the New England Patriots, but they're injured and they don't look like they're the confident team that they was last year. I'm going with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jamie: I had a feeling you were going to go Patriots, so I also went for the Jacksonville Jackuers in this game. Liam: Lockstep! Jamie: Locked in, Jacobi Myers on those Jacksonville Jackuers, ex-Patriot as well. And then I quite like, loved his game winner for the Raiders against the Patriots back in the day. Quite comical, Mack Jones play for those Patriots fans out there. But yeah, I Jackuers, as you've summarized quite perfectly. quite their defense, they're doing quite well. as well is flying around. I thought Devin would be a big miss, but eventually Miller steps up. And yeah, I think Jackals get done at home. Liam: You know, think Kushin Gonzalez for the Patriots, what a defender though. Like if he can come up with a play or two, who knows? Like that could turn a game. But yeah, like we said, we're in luck on the Jags. Jamie, you're up next. The Titans at the New York Giants. Jamie: This is actually quite difficult because before last week, I would have told you before week two, said, giants easy. I've got week one performance for both. Now, because of week two and the damaging effect of Jackson Darts not going to have James Winston at home. He does love it. The big apple. As you say, the light shine brightest and James Winston loves those dubs. Liam: Jamer's eating those dubs, baby. Jamie: But then you take into account Tyron's performance on all sides of the ball against the Eagles who I expect to be up there thereabouts. It is a tough one, but I'm actually going to back the Giants on this one at home. I think James Winston will do something. He normally does come up with, come up with a play obviously against an Aaron Donald inspired defense. I think Ram's got much better defense than the Titans. I think the Titans are actually had their best performance of the season already. I think that week two was them giving everything they've got and it wasn't enough. And I think they'll have a bit of a come down from that as well. So I think the Giants will win this one against the Titans. Liam: cheeky little win in the Big Apple. I mean, yeah, James Winston is going to have time to prepare. I think he looked at, I think he'd completed two drives in the last game and they did like a lip read thing on him. I'm a sucker for these things. I love them. And it was like, I've got to get ready now. I've got to get ready now. I go, mate, you're the backup quarterback. You need to be doing less about like the Olympics, other countries around the world, presenting on NFL network and be a backup quarterback that we know you could be. Famous Jamez. That being said, can I do it? Am I in lock set with you again? And unfortunately, I am, Jamie. I made a promise to the New York Giants fans that I am with them this year and I've got to believe in something and I've got to stick with the New York Giants. I really didn't think you was going to go there. but I'm with the New York Giants as well. Jamie: Yeah. Yeah. Liam: The Titans haven't shown quite enough yet. think none of their weapons are popping off the page. The running game's there's a little bit. Like it's all like they're just about doing enough to get by now after that Eagles game. It gets a good defense. Is Brian Burns gonna play and be healthy? I don't know. Do you know about that, Jamie? Jamie: And no, they haven't put a report out yet, they? There you go, line one. Liam: No. So, you know, that's a, that's really big for the giants. So maybe that keeps the Titans in the game. However, cam scataboo. Let's go big game. You run through those walls, baby. Let's go cam. Let's show them you're a star. That's it. So giant giants were in lockstep. We're on, we're in lock, we're locked up. So next game. We've got the Jets at the Lions. So I'll start with the Jets. They've looked good. They made the Titans not look like an NFL team. They also then made the Green Bay offense look boring, which it might be. However, they've looked competent on attack. This Lions team, however, I still think is very good. I think they've just come up against Obviously they're one and one. They beat the Saints in overtime. Now seeing that the Saints beat the Ravens away, that was actually a solid win. Then they go and play the Blender Blitstorm Bills. Let's go Bills Mafia. But they go and play that team, opening that new stadium. Unreal energy, unreal scenes. I don't think anybody gave them a chance in the game and they still put up 31 points. I can see the Jets keeping this tight because I believe in this Jets defense. However, I don't know if they can match the, I don't know if they can restrain this Lions offense enough to keep up on offense. So I'm going to back the Lions at home in this game. I Wanna just see a little bit more from the Lions though. I need to see a little bit more than Amon Ra St. Brown and Jamar Gibbs, as good as they are. We need to keep people guessing a little bit more than they are currently. And I think that's gonna really, really unlock this offense. Jamie: Yeah, I totally agree. I need I want my JMo. Where is he? Liam: Make Jameson Williams like we need more of him. Jamie: Yeah, I don't know what this Lions team is. I mean, we're saying week three, but yeah, I don't know what this Lions team is. I actually quite, I have this weird affection towards both. always have with the Lions, but for the Jets this season with Aaron Glenn, I'm not backing them though, by the way, I'm just trying to try to build them up. I am backing the Lions and we're locked again. Liam: lucked again. Love it. Jamie: you Liam: Jamie, it's just nice. Less of us competing against each other, more of us existed together. So there we go. Okay. And the last game of the early window, Bengals at the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jamie: Well, how do you build this game up without saying it's really easy for one team and quite. struggling for the other team. The AFC North battle, Steelers, Bengals, think the Steelers, you know what they flattered to deceive. What made it worse, I think for the Steelers is the fact that I watched a lot more of the Panthers Falcons game and I don't understand how the Steelers and Falcons game was that close unless the Pickpillars are awful. They then follow that up with a horrendous offensive performance against the Patriots, which then and they've only got TJ Watt who makes moments happen but if he doesn't make a moment they've got nothing on defense as well. So the Bengals are going to win they've already gone to Houston and won as well so I would I back them to go to Pittsburgh and get the dub and start 3-0 Bengals on fire. Liam: Bengals on fire. think one of the biggest stories of the NFL this year is obviously people try and make change, but the Bengals made change and that defense is real. It's turned up now two weeks on the bounce. It's making plays and it's making the Bengals not just competitive, but a scary team. And I think that that's all we need to say about the Bengals on that note. Steelers, there's not much there. You said that they're not even bothering to protect Tyrone Rogers at this point and what you're to do if Jamie: Yeah. Liam: he hasn't got a clean pocket. Sexy Dexie's coming to town. Boy Maffey's coming to town. There ain't going to be a pocket for them. Well, coming to town, their own town. Bengals town. So again, we're in luck, full luck. Bengals. Cool. Jamie: angles. Liam: So to summarize Thursday Night Football and the early window predictions, we've got both of us predicting the Green Bay Packers to win at home. We've both got the Panthers to beat the Browns in Cleveland. We've both got the Bills to beat the Chargers. And we've both got the Texans, I believe Jamie, to beat the Colts. Is that right? Both Jamie: Yep, indeed. Liam: got the Seahawks to beat the Commanders in Washington. We both have the Chiefs to trounce the Dolphins. in Miami. We then have got the Jags double lock against the Patriots at home. We've both got the Giants to beat the Titans, which I'm a bit worried about. Then we've got both Lions to beat the Jets at home, the Bengals to beat the Steelers at home. Awesome. So I'll kick us off again with now the afternoon slate. which is 9.05 in the UK kickoff time with the Vikings and the Buccaneers. So what can I say about this? This, I am, I'm worried for my Buccaneers. The Vikings are coming to raid the pirate ship, Jamie. Forget about the game. They want their pirate ship back, mate. It's Jamie: Yeah. Liam: not a pirate ship. It might be a Viking boat. Who knows? But. That defense is coming to a turnover prone books that cannot get started on offense. I mean, where's it been gone? Put that, get that man back to where he was when he came to the NFL. Like just run the same plays. That was Grizzard Lizard, the offensive of offensive coordinator. There's no longer even about the Grizzard Lizard. Get him, get that man the ball. We've got that Vikings defense, Brian Flores coming for Baker all day. I am already a bit worried about seeing Baker running into this 77 % blitz rate that the Vikings have been unleashing. My beloved Bucks, Jamie. I think it's the most, is it me or are they the most frustrating team in the league? Is it me? Jamie: No, it's well, I quite like it from a personal point of view obviously, but They seem to have they've got the Tatlin but Is it I mean top balls holding them back? I don't know. Maybe maybe is maybe twitters, right? Maybe it's top balls is full Liam: it's the tut bowls problem. I wasn't hoping to go here. Week three. God. Jamie: leaks right Liam: Week three. That being said. Look, they've got a nice couple of little young players on defense, the Buccaneers do, which is, which is good to see. And they do have a little bit of a pass rush. I want to see Ruben Bane tear up a team though. I want to see him tear up a team. I mean, is Kyler Murray back? I think he cleared the, he cleared the concussion Jamie: We did, yeah. Liam: protocol now. I don't know if he's starting, but I don't know. I don't want to do it Jamie. I don't want to lock up. I don't want to look up the Vikings. I'm gonna go. You know what? Someone's gotta beat that Blitz. No Baker, no chance. Go in the Berserker boy himself, Baker Mayfield. Let's go, I'm locking up the bugs. Jamie: Are you sure? You can take it back. Liam: 100 % sure, never back down, never look back. Let's go Tampa Bay. Jamie: Okay, I'm going for the Minnesota Vikings to go in Liam: Right, end of part. Jamie: and defeat the Bucks. Easy as that. If they can do that to the greatest offense ever in NFL history in the Chicago Bears, then what chance has Baker got? I don't remember them getting, I think they got one interception from Caleb Williams because of poor throw. maybe Baker can, I think Baker's going to be running a lot and I think he's going to be slipping. with the ball a lot as per usual. Liam: Is Baker actually throwing, he's just dropping the ball as well. But yeah, okay. Okay, so okay, Jamie: He's just dropping the ball? god, he's frustrating. Liam: we're at different. We finally come to an indecision. One day you won't pick the Panthers, but maybe that means I won't pick the Bucks. And I know I don't have to worry about that with the Seahawks. Jamie: Yeah, finally. It is. And one day you will. And it will be gone. Yeah, well, yeah, exactly. Yeah. Kyla Murray will be starting against Tampa Bay. Liam: See, I wanna see Ruben Bain smash that little man when he tries to run out of the pocket. We need our tall boys to stand up and not let him pass. Let's go Tampa Bay. There you go. Right, onto the next one. The other 905 kickoff. It is the Cardinals at our fine wine 49ers. Jamie: Yes, the super OAP is led by Mr. System QB. I think it's coming. Liam: Brock. poor Brock. Jamie: I think just go to the abuser every single week of a night even though he's I think he got performance in a week in the NFL offensive In week two so fair play to him, but I can't see anything But the 49ers the OAP is winning this one Cardo has been better than I thought but defensively last week. They just Didn't want to tackle JSN. Just let him run. Just just don't just you know, it's difficult to stop him fair Please try, at least make it hard, make it difficult, double up, triple up, stop JSN. And they couldn't, they couldn't even get near him. So I can't see anything but a 49ers win against Cardinals right at home. And they've just put, they've just got Brandon Cooks in, in their practice squad as well, trying out. So I think he could potentially become active. Liam: Well, I mean, to jump into a bit of fantasy, think Marvin Harrison, Jr. Zero targets, zero catches, which is crazy. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: He was one of the most touted wide receivers coming out of college. He's like Jamal Chase levels of hype. Like that's insane. I mean, apart from Traymott Bride, you starting, are you anything from a Cardinals perspective in fantasy? Jamie: Nah, and all I've got is McBride at tight end as well, so. Liam: I was quite hopeful for Wilson after last year. This Kenton is born. mean, Jamie: Love. Liam: love. This division, I don't want any of it. But I mean, love's looked okay. I mean, wow. Rough ride, rough division for the Cardinals to be in. And beating that Chargers now feels two seasons ago. So yeah, I'm in lockstep with you. 49ers for the win. Mate, we need to learn some 49er slogan for all the 49 people. Jamie: Okay. Liam: can't get going on 49, 49, fine and wine. Fine wine 49. There we go. Jamie: Yeah, go on. I think they just go Niners, aren't they? Liam: Go Niners. Right, Jamie: Go Niners! Liam: onto the next one then. So it's the Raiders at the Saints. Let's call this one the plucky bowl. I mean, would I have thought that the Saints would have taken the Lions in the season opener to overtime, then go away and beat the Ravens? Absolutely not. They are a tough. defense, they are going to come and they're going to come and beat you up, lock your gates, because the Saints are in town. I mean, Shook's looking great. What can you say? Like he's the best quarterback in the NFC South, unfortunately, Jamie: Sorry? Liam: you and the Panthers fans. He's true. Is it true? Jamie: Watch your head. Liam: If he was going to start a franchise next week, you're not picking any other NFC quarterback. NFC South Jamie: It touched Liam: quarterback. You're picking Tyler Shuck. He's just had a, he is just not a first round pick like Bryce Young. He is looking great. A larvae is looking great. Belay! Looking great as well. You know, so the Saints. Then we go to the other side. The Las Vegas Raiders. Mendoza waiting in the background. Kirk Cousins looking f- Fantastic six touchdown passes on the season so far. Trey Tucker on fire. Brock Bowers hasn't even been playing. Like, 2-0 Raiders? I think they're one of eight teams of the 2-0 record this season, which is absolutely ridiculous and no way could I have predicted this. They made a few signings to try and be a solid team in the off season. And they are well done. I think that being said... I think I'm going to go with the Saints for the win on this one. I don't want to do it. I love Kirk and I love the Raiders, but I've just got this feeling that the Saints are... I think the Raiders are going to get found out. I think the Saints are a rough and tumble team that you don't want to play. They're back home. The fans are going to be buzzing based on what's happening so far. I'm going with the Saints. Jamie: I really want to go Raiders. I've already written down my prediction, my thing. It does say Saints, but there's a bit of me thinking, God, does Kerco Chains rock out at the dome? Again. No, I'll stick to what I've got. I'm going Saints as well. Tyler Shuck comes in the second best quarterback in MC South. Can't really move that much in the pocket. really run much. fainted injury as well when he plays the Panthers to get 15-yard penalties. So, you know, aside from that, I'll I'll back the Saints this week. Liam: Nice. Okay, we're locked again. Next game. Last one of the late window. Jamie, it's the fourth and T Ravens at those Dallas Cowboys. Jamie: Right. Is it bad that I'm going to go against the fourth and T team just to start off the preview? Is that bad? Liam: BOOM! Jamie: feel like it's bad. I've just brought in Bateman, right, in our fantasy, in our fantasy I'm backing, I'm backing Lamar Jackson and get him a few touchdowns. A Flowers didn't practice on Wednesday, so he's still a doubt. Obviously for week three. I think this game's in Is this game in Rio? Or is this game in Dallas? Liam: Down in Brazil, baby. Jamie: Brazillia lovely. Liam: Hannibal! Jamie: Great. Shout out modern warfare to back in the day. But look for balance. you go. Liam: Fantastic. Jamie: Very nice random callback. But yeah, enjoyable level. But yeah, I don't think the Ravens have a good time down in Rio. And I think Dallas Cowboys are going to win, which is a shame because obviously the fourth and T team, we both have a thing for Ravens. so it might have to put in like a sad bird noise in. Sorry Ravens. I'm back in Dallas. Liam: Good game though, this. I'm excited by this game. Jamie: Good game, great game actually, it should be good, yeah. Liam: I have to say the NFL International Slate is getting better and better, but they've really done Australia and Brazil well. Like the first game in Australia, Rams and 49ers. England and London hasn't had a game that good, like period. Like, and that's the first one in Australia. That's crazy. this Cowboys and this Ravens team like Dak and Lamar Jackson down in Brazil. That is a mad game to go see. So like, well done if you're in Brazil, checking this game out because that is so like that is actually sick. That being said. A couple of things happened last week and I think this Ravens team, for whatever reason, I don't know. I think they seem to play to the level of the teams that they're playing against. But to me, I think that Le Mans, this is a Le Mans game. Do the Cowboys have a really good defense? I don't know. I don't think so. And to me, the Ravens can step up in defense. Can the Cowboys stop? Lamar Jackson and Derek Henry who is big Derek King Henry like that's what I think I think that might be the story of the game the Cowboys defense cannot stop these boys so I'm gonna lock up the fourth and T Ravens Jamie: so that's two out of 14 games. We disagree. I like it. Liam: There might be a couple more, know. So, on to the next game. the Rams at the Broncos. So. Rams, you showed up at last, you beat the Jackson Dartless, the Brian Burns-less, the Malik Neiborless giants. Awesome. Aaron Donald, well done, you're back and you're looking good, you're drawing a lot of attention. This Denver Broncos team came up against one of the two wrecking balls of the NFL in that week one game against the Chiefs. I think that the defense is gonna have too much. for this Rams offense, especially if Puka Nakua is out. Based on that, Bo Nix looking okay. That Jags defense is legit. You put up 20 points. You are rolling. Waddell is now part of the game plan. Cortland Sutton is like your number two wide receiver. Tim Patrick catching passes. You've got RJ Harvey end up going out, but you've got... J.K. Dobbins I'm loving this Broncos team, Jamie. as much as I'm, the Rams, haven't got, they haven't had a prove it game yet. I think the Broncos were running the gauntlet from week one. That's why they're not two and O. And I think that this is a legit team with a legit home field. advantage that they can draw on. Bonyx is just going to keep getting better and better, especially as this new play caller starts to get in the plays in the same cadence, working out what works best for them, what Sean Payton wants, who's apparently this slightly awkward guy when it comes to like, letting go of the reins. So I like everything about this Broncos team. So I'm going with the Broncos. Jamie: I'm also going with the Denver Broncos. I Liam: Kiddy-may! Jamie: want to go for the Rams, but do you want the Broncos? They've had some horrible start in opening three games of the season, haven't they really? But I just think the Broncos defense just, I think it's going to be one score game, right? And I think the Denver Broncos just have that in them for some reason, just to win those games. So because of that, I'll go with the Broncos. Liam: Yeah, like I'm betting on the Rams to keep it within like around that 3.5 mark. Like they're gonna be there. They're gonna be within a score. I just think, yeah. Let's go Broncos. Awesome, we're locked. Last game of the week. Monday night football. Let's go. It's gonna be Eagles at Bears Jamie. Jamie: Because at Bears it gives them something to hold on to, right? But they did just get beat punching the math by Brian Flores, right? In their own back garden. So what chance they got against Philadelphia Eagles, I think are a better unit than the as our collective than the Vikings. So I've got an Eagles straight off the bat, right? Only because not only is Badger not going to be playing as quarterback, right? Cale Williams, obviously he's he's got a little boo boo as well. So that's two callbacks out. Who's playing? Case Keenum on Monday night football for the Chicago Bears against the Eagles. I mean, what was this? Case Keenum throwing to Stephon Diggs. How many years goes that? Do know what mean? He can't do it anymore. How's he still playing? How's he still got a contract? So. Liam: That's mad, isn't it? Surely there's a dearth of like quarterbacks in the world, but some of these guys get like one little chance and they cling on like rock climbers with their fingers, don't they? It's like, how Jamie: Mental. Yeah. Liam: is there no one in college better? Jamie: It's got someone, someone has to be better than Kay's Keen and backing up. I don't think Jimmy G's even got a, where's Jimmy G gone? But, I miss him. Good looking bloke, but I'm going for us to, us to as well. Liam: Mate, the good looking podcast of this one, we've got Dave Ganaez, Jimmy G. We'll call out someone next week. Us two, yeah. The AI images, Jamie, you keep making me taller and skinnier. So yeah, I love it. Jamie: No, no, I will release the Camloom, as Russell Wilson one eventually. yeah, Eagles will win this one. Who have you got? Liam: Not a lot to say the Jamie, think with the two quarterbacks out, you can't look past this Eagles defense just dominate. What did I say? Eagles are successful mediocrity on offense with a highlight reel of a defense that are not even if they don't have a good day, they're not going to let you score loads of points. Not a lot to say I want a lot of this Eagles offense. in fantasy. I want Jalen Hurt. I want Devonta Smith. I want Tank Bigsby as well as Saquon Barkley. Let's see what goes on there. Saquon hasn't rushed that good this season and it's a shame that Dallas Goddard got hurt. But Zach Ertz is back in Philly. Exciting stuff. So that being said on the Bear side, fantasy wise, I don't want any of it. I don't want any of it. There's a lot like Luther Burden. Dunze, Loveland, Swift. I would start Swift, but I don't want much of it because they're going to go behind and they're going to be having to pass anyway. So locking it up with you, Jamie. I'm going for the Philadelphia Eagles. So awesome. To recap, let's just do our picks. So in the late window, we've got me going with my lovely Buccaneers to beat the Vikings who Jamie are backing. We've then got both backing the 49ers to beat the Cardinals. We're then both backing the Saints to beat the Raiders. I'm backing the Ravens to beat the Cowboys. Jamie is backing the Cowboys to party on in the carnival and beat the Ravens down in Brazil. And then we're both backing the Broncos to beat the Rams and the Eagles to beat the Bears. That is week three previews in the bag. onto our next fun little bits. So we've got our wild take of the week each. Jamie, what have you got for week three? Jamie: sure I'm dying what a sound effect that is by the way keep that on it that was class Liam: Mate, where's the gong when you need it? Jamie: My wild take of week three is right. The Chargers against the build, the Chargers will concede 60 plus points against the Buffalo Bills. Okay. The last time an NFL team conceded 60 was the LA Chargers against the Raiders. Back in 2023, 63-21 that one finished and I'm going for something quite similar. I'm going Buffalo to score 60. on the charges. You've gone. Liam: Finally got off mute there, didn't I, Jamie? So, mate, also that's wild, Mate, how much? 60. That's Jamie: Yeah, 60. Liam: unreal. So, I've got a very similar first world take of the pod to you. And it's that the Seattle Seahawks are gonna score 50 points. The last time that they scored 50 points was in 2022 and it's against the Cardinals. Duloc showing what he's got. I'm going to put a cheeky one on Seattle to put up 50 on the Jaden Daniels-less commanders. I'm also going to throw in another spicy one. They're also going to get three takeaways. Interceptions or strips or force fumbles. The Seattle Seahawks events are going to get three takeaways as well. So yeah, that is Wildtags of week three. So onto our little fantasy segment for the preview show. Who are you not starring this week in Fantasy Jamie? Jamie: I've got quite a theme here for the whole entire podcast. It is any offensive charger? Who would thought that? Justin Herbert loves a fumble, loves interception. And Amari Hampton. I saw someone pick him up on Fantasy. Couldn't believe it. I thought, why? What's going on? What have you seen that I haven't seen in first two weeks? think, you know what? That Hampton, the way it builds looks... He's going to get me some points. He's going to probably get you about two. So avoid Hampton. Justin Herbert's on my bench. Thank God I picked up Patrick Mahomes late on because Justin Herbert was my first cute quarterback pick and woof. I avoided that one quite well. So yeah, do not play those two. Liam: Quick question to you. Do you think the worst pick up in fantasy when I was drafted has been Drake May or Justin Herbert? Jamie: For a keeper I'd say Herbert's the worst But I think he will eventually come good. I need to go weapons Liam: Yeah. Jamie: of they've got like Especially no AJ Brown's out But actually do what Liam: Either option's rough. Jamie: maybe Drake maybe he's got doob's in it. So we all love doob's boobs Liam: He's got dupes. Dupes! He makes it into every pod. Right. My fantasy players do not start for the week. I've got two. And they're my two favorite fantasy pickups that I said before the season. It's Amika Egbuka for the Buccaneers and it's Jamison Williams for the Detroit Lions. These are two fantastic wide receivers that could do it, that could be there. If you've got other options though. I'm definitely dropping Jameson Williams because he's not done anything so far. He's been a massive let down. He is driving up my predicted win percentage just to get a couple of points. Amiga, Ibuca, they're just not unlocking him in this Zach Robinson offense at the minute. And to be honest, it's just killing me a little bit inside. If I can pick up a Trey Tucker, am I starting him over Ibuca? I am considering it. At the minute he's at maximum reflex for me. So they're my two fantasy do not stars for the week. Okay. On to one before last section, our four comp section, Jamie, who are we putting on the four comp pile that aren't going to make it to the playoffs? To recap, so far, we've got the Browns and the Dolphins on the pile. Jamie: It has to be for me, the Atlanta Falcons. Quarterback disarray. Kevin Stefanski is a head coach. They have got a of weapons, but they're on the wrong team. they already argue on the sidelines in week two. That's what I love to see. I love seeing Drake London having an argument with B. Jean. I love it. Both put a trade in. Go somewhere else. Go win something. Because you hate winning here at Falcons. Liam: Double trade, imagine, imagine giving like the next four first round picks and just getting like pits, Jamie: Beige on. Liam: Bigeon, London. What a coup that would be. Okay. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: I'll throw another one into the mix then. We discussed them last week, the Tennessee Titans. They're not really showing much of anything. They picked up a little bit against the Eagles and they didn't win. Like the Eagles are too clutch and they didn't have enough. weapons on defense so I'm suggesting that they're not going to make the playoffs because realistically you know you've got the Texans and the Jags in your division as well the Colts are probably probably not to be the Colts either so I'm saying that the Titans aren't going to make the playoffs Jamie do the Titans sway you at all? Jamie: They do, only because you can win the NFC South with a losing record. That's my... So they could still make the playoffs, the Falcons, 8 and 9, you know? Liam: I would also, the thing I would argue is they've also got their quarterback coming back. Jamie: Yeah, but have you seen him? Liam: Penics, yeah, but at the minute we haven't, you know what? We haven't seen him, You're right, Jamie. We haven't seen him. I know what you're saying, but we haven't seen him. That's the thing. Jamie: Okay, alright, we're gonna... we'll fork the titans. Liam: We're going to fork the Titans. Jamie, I thought they might go, I I was to scrape through another week, but no, forking the Titans, Falcons in the hot seat. Cool. Onto our final segment then. It's our Survivor of the Week. So, last week, I picked the 49ers. I survived. Jamie, what happened on your end? Jamie: I picked your Buccaneers and I died. just like Tampa Bay's season, I guess. it's gone. Liam: Absolute animal farm, lord of the flies, Jamie's there on the floor struggling. Jamie: Yeah, it wasn't my fires, I mean it's the Browns. At home again it's the Browns. The Browns! Why have you me in the film? Liam: You kidding me? know Baker Mayfield retired to Sean Watson. Get your revenge. Don't do whatever happened. can't believe it. Jamie, I'm getting a migraine thinking about it. Jamie: So yeah, this week I'm back in the Kansas City Chiefs to steamroll the Miami Dolphins. That seems like a very sensible, locked in, easy progression through. I don't think I'm going to lose. I don't think I'm going to get knocked out again. I think going to survive the rest of the whole season. I think I'm going to survive now. Liam: I think we said, didn't we last week, we said we like to start with a nice, easy winning game. Don't we like, we both like our first week of survivor. You just want to get through it. Ideally week two would be good for you, Jamie, but no it's game week three, fourth and T podcast is back to week one of survivor. I'm going to go with the fine wine 49ers Jamie. They did me good at the end of the last survivor. They're going to kick some of survivor this one. I'm going to be seeing you in survival week two. Awesome. So that's week three preview in the bag. Jamie, that was proper. We've had a good time. Jamie: Been decent. We've agreed on basically everything throughout the whole entire podcast. So. Liam: Yeah, I mean, we're gonna have to generate a little bit more art for sure. Angst and argument, aren't we? But you know. Jamie: Well, I was almost there when he mentioned that Bryce Young wasn't the best quarterback in the NFC South, but I managed to not shout. Liam: I mean, your charges mate is not gonna like you, you're bagging the charges at every point possible. Jamie, you got this unrational hatred of Brock Purdy as well. You know, actually, we're probably doing all right with the conflict. We've got Brock Purd. Jamie: I think we're okay. Liam: Yeah. All right. Okay. And I'm still gonna hate on the Browns. I'm gonna hate on the Browns all day. That being Jamie: and the RAMs. Liam: said, come on the books. Jamie: Come on the Panthers. Liam: Mate, come on the Seahawks, D-Peds, mate. I'm excited to see what they're do. Mate, 50 points, mark my words. There we go. Come on, Joshua. Jamie: Josh Allen, let's go. Come on 60 boy, let's go. I've got ya. Liam: Right. That's been the week three preview episode. Thank you for listening. Like and subscribe on all the major platforms. Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Instagram, TikTok. Where else are we Jamie? Jamie: YouTube. Liam: YouTube, that's the one. Look at this beautiful jersey behind me. Come check that out. Check out Jamie sitting in the Panthers room for the whole pod. Thank you for listening. Peace and love.
