- 0:01There's a whole generation of young men that that want to be
- 0:04courageous. They want to be married, they
- 0:06want to be heterosexual, they want to have a family.
- 0:08They want to start a business. They want to lead people to
- 0:11Christ. They want to do something.
- 0:13And then Charlie gets shot and then the pastors say nothing and
- 0:17a bunch of them are don't vote or vote for Kamala Harris.
- 0:20And then these men show up at the church and this is the
- 0:22craptastic garbage that we're feeding a generation of young
- 0:26men. And it pisses me off because
- 0:28it's the first time in 50 years that we've seen young men flood
- 0:31into church and they want to know Jesus and they want to get
- 0:34activated and they want to be men of God, and they get this
- 0:38crap. So to a lot of Christians or
- 0:59people who know the Bible well and believe in it, these
- 1:03predictions in both the Old and the New Testament, and there are
- 1:07others, seem to fit what we were watching.
- 1:09Here's a leader who's mocking the gods of his ancestors,
- 1:14mocking the God of gods, and exalting himself above them.
- 1:18Could this be the Antichrist? Well, who knows?
- 1:22At least that's my conclusion. Who knows?
- 1:25We're also told repeatedly in the New Testament that you're
- 1:28not gonna know that Jesus will return like a thief in the night
- 1:32and and you better be ready because you can't predict it.
- 1:35But we're also told there are signs.
- 1:37And is this one of them? Well, again, unclear.
- 1:41Well, Pastor Mark, our favorite Middle Eastern payroll
- 1:47gentleman, Tucker Carlson, is calling Trump the Antichrist.
- 1:51It is. While he recently apologized for
- 1:54misleading voters on voting for Trump and called him a slave to
- 1:59neocons, he is, yeah, just full out attack on President Trump
- 2:04and hates him and now is accusing him of being the
- 2:07Antichrist. And you actually have the
- 2:09theological backing to give us. Is that true?
- 2:12Is it possible? Is Tucker on to something?
- 2:15Is Tucker crazy? Yeah, So just for those who
- 2:18don't know me, so I, I got saved reading the Bible as a Christian
- 2:21at the age of 19. And then I've got a master's
- 2:25degree in Bible that's, and I preached through or taught
- 2:28through now like 40 of the 66 books of the Bible verse by
- 2:32verse. And so I'm a Bible guy.
- 2:34That's just me. And so I appreciate when
- 2:37somebody's asking a question about the Bible gives an
- 2:40opportunity for Bible teachers to weigh in.
- 2:42So that's great. Part of the problem that we're
- 2:44seeing, and then I'll get into exactly what the Bible says
- 2:47about the Antichrist is we're seeing people that are pretty
- 2:51well known and have platforms and then they become Christians
- 2:54and they're kind of working out their theology in real time, but
- 2:59their followers are following them and then treating them more
- 3:03like a pastor who's kind of discipling them, which is not
- 3:07the way to do it. You want to.
- 3:08I mean, even when the Apostle Paul got saved, he disappeared
- 3:12for a few years, got his head on straight, and then he emerged to
- 3:15start preaching and teaching. And so it's good to take a
- 3:18little time and it's good to be under godly spiritual authority.
- 3:21Have a pastor who knows the Bible.
- 3:24And before you start sort of speculating, make sure you know
- 3:27what you're talking about. So what he's talking about is
- 3:30the Antichrist and 2nd Thessalonians 2 speaks of the
- 3:35man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction who
- 3:38opposes, exalts himself against every so-called God or object of
- 3:42worship, so that he takes his seed in the temple of God,
- 3:46proclaiming himself to be God. I mean, I'll get into all the
- 3:49details, but he says he's God. Well, President Donald Trump has
- 3:53never said he's God. Do you not remember that when I
- 3:56was still with you, I told these things and you know that the
- 4:00what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his
- 4:03time? The mystery of lawlessness is
- 4:06already a work. So here it's talking about the
- 4:09Antichrist in 2nd Thessalonians 2.
- 4:12And those who want to look it up, it's verses 3 through 12.
- 4:16And this concept of lawlessness, it is 2 parts, It is anti or
- 4:24against, and then Namia or law. And so this concept of being a
- 4:29Antichrist against God and his laws, I've got it here in my
- 4:33notes from when I preached it. And there's a whole sermon at
- 4:35realfaith.com. I did all of 1st and 2nd
- 4:37Thessalonians and there's a whole sermon, I think it's
- 4:39called the man of lawlessness on this.
- 4:42But this concept, this word appears 13 times in the New
- 4:46Testament, 4 times. It's right here in Second
- 4:49Thessalonians. And so here's the marks of the
- 4:51Antichrist apostate, the the time of rebellion.
- 4:56There'll be people who are denying Christ in large numbers
- 4:59but still professing to be Christians #2 There'll be many
- 5:03counterfeit Christ. Jesus talks about this in
- 5:06Matthew 24. He says false Christ.
- 5:08So they're saying I'm Jesus, I'm Jesus, I'm Jesus.
- 5:10They're not #3 The Antichrist, also called in the Bible, the
- 5:14man of lawlessness will arise. First John 218, second John 17,
- 5:22first John 2:22, first John 43, all talk about this Antichrist.
- 5:28And so man of lawlessness and Antichrist is most likely
- 5:32referring to the same person. And so, you know, it's a common
- 5:35theme in the New Testament, especially with Paul, especially
- 5:38with John, but based on 2nd Thessalonians 2, three through
- 5:4212, here's the here's the marks. Number 1, He is the man of
- 5:48lawlessness and the son of destruction.
- 5:51So it's a human being. It's not some AI or
- 5:54extraterrestrial, though they could be involved #2 He, quote,
- 5:57opposes and exalts himself against every so-called God or
- 6:01object of worship as President Trump founding a religion in
- 6:07devotion to himself. Answer no #3 He, quote, takes
- 6:11his seed in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.
- 6:14Now, there's a big debate about this, whether or not this is
- 6:16metaphorical or literal. But has President Trump
- 6:19reconstructed the temple on the Temple Mount in Israel and given
- 6:23him a seat in the middle of it? Answer no #4 He will no longer
- 6:29be held back by the restrainer, which is probably the person and
- 6:33work of the Holy Spirit #5 he, quote, brings the activity of
- 6:38Satan with all power, false signs and wonders.
- 6:41So you're looking at counterfeit signs, wonders, and miracles.
- 6:45Well, are we seeing around President Trump, You know,
- 6:47people being healed and the dead being raised and the blind
- 6:50seeing and counterfeit, supernatural, miraculous
- 6:53activity? Answer no, we're not seeing
- 6:55that. Number six, He brings quote,
- 6:59wicked deception for those who are perishing because they
- 7:01refuse to love the truth and be saved.
- 7:04Is he preaching a false gospel and taking people away from
- 7:07Jesus? No, actually, we know a lot of
- 7:10you were just in the White House.
- 7:11We know a lot of people in the faith office and now the faith
- 7:14office is actually part of the White House.
- 7:15It's not like, you know, down the street in the janitor's
- 7:18closet, it's some secondary government building and you can
- 7:22argue and fight the people on the White House faith council.
- 7:26They love Jesus, man. I mean, we know him personally.
- 7:28Well, and most of the people in office in the White House are
- 7:31very devout Christians, like Bible thump and Christians.
- 7:35Well, you've got Speaker Mike Johnson, a very articulate
- 7:37Christian. You've got Senator Marco Rubio,
- 7:40He's very articulate Christian. You know, Secretary of War Pete
- 7:44Hegseth, articulate Christian. JD Vance, articulate Christian.
- 7:49I mean, yeah. It was interesting.
- 7:51So you know the very we were talking about this recently.
- 7:54Claude is incredibly woke. Woke AI.
- 7:57Like Claude is woke and he woke. Yep, woke and he woke.
- 7:59So I asked Claude right before we jumped into this, 'cause I, I
- 8:05have this idea and I'm like, OK, what?
- 8:07What is woke AI think? Has president, has there been
- 8:10any president in the last 100 years that it's done more for
- 8:13Christianity than President Trump?
- 8:15And the answer is objectively no by the woke AI is like no.
- 8:20And here's the list of all the things President Trump has done
- 8:23to hold the door open for Christians.
- 8:25First president to be at a pro-life rally.
- 8:27First president to put the faith office there.
- 8:30Get rid of Roe. Like, he has done a lot for
- 8:33Christians and objectively more than any president in the last
- 8:36100 years. Yeah, and and within that,
- 8:38whether or not he's a devout Christian or an articulate
- 8:41Christian, he's not Antichrist. Antichrist literally means
- 8:46remove and replace it. It is remove Christ and replace
- 8:50Christ with self. That's not what we're seeing.
- 8:54Just the last few #7 he quote leads the condemned who did not
- 8:58believe. You know, is there a, is there a
- 9:00large number of people who you know, are are rallying around
- 9:05President Trump to form a cult? No, in fact, the true
- 9:10Christians, we we disagree when he's wrong, but we support him
- 9:14because it's better than the option.
- 9:17And you don't need to be the pastor in chief, you just need
- 9:20to be the commander in chief and leave freedom for the church to
- 9:23stay in its lane and do its job. And then the last one is well #8
- 9:28the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus
- 9:31will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by
- 9:34the appearance of his coming. How do we know it's truly the
- 9:36Antichrist? Jesus returns and smokes him.
- 9:41Yeah. And it's like, well, so I mean,
- 9:44this is what happens when you have a a shallow understanding
- 9:48of the Bible, but a large platform.
- 9:50Oh it's like a kid in kids ministry that just got saved
- 9:53trying to discern the prophecies of the Bible.
- 9:55It's like, well, you, you need to go to church for 10 years
- 9:58before you start deciding what a prophecy is fulfilled.
- 10:01What I wouldn't and what I would say to everybody is just go to
- 10:032nd Thessalonians 2 and just read it.
- 10:06I mean, it's all there. And within this, you know, is
- 10:10President Trump the Antichrist? No, now the Antichrist will be a
- 10:14powerful world leader and and President Trump is a powerful
- 10:20world leader. So, but you know, I mean, there
- 10:22are other powerful world world leaders, doesn't mean that
- 10:24they're the Antichrist either. And so, yeah, within this, it's,
- 10:29it's a speculation and it's based upon a couple of things
- 10:33that, you know, the president puts on Truth Social 1.
- 10:36He says, why I thought I would look like a doctor.
- 10:38And the Christians are like, no, actually look like Jesus, like,
- 10:40sorry, take it off The other one.
- 10:42You know, Jesus is embracing him.
- 10:43And then they're speculating like, well, I don't know, is the
- 10:46president saying, you know, I hope Jesus is with me and for
- 10:49me, I I hope Jesus is with and for him.
- 10:52Hope he's not, you know, hope Jesus isn't against our
- 10:54president. But again, this is where to go
- 10:57from, you know, maybe a questionable post on Truth
- 11:01Social to the Antichrist. Because what you're doing then
- 11:05you're putting President Trump in the same category as Satan
- 11:10and you're putting him in the same category as Judas Iscariot.
- 11:13So Judas Iscariot was an Antichrist.
- 11:16So the Bible says that there are many antichrists and there's a
- 11:20spirit of Antichrist and then there's the Antichrist.
- 11:23So right now, like North Korea is ruled by an Antichrist.
- 11:29You know, Iran is ruled by an Antichrist.
- 11:33You know, the head of Planned Parenthood is an Antichrist.
- 11:36I mean, there are many Antichrist and it's all
- 11:39operational by this demonic power and spirit of Antichrist.
- 11:43But then there is one who is the Antichrist and it's an
- 11:47individual who has a lot of power, but then is filled and
- 11:50possessed not just by demonic power, but saved himself.
- 11:54And that was Judas Iscariot. So Judas is the son of perdition
- 11:59and literally Satan enters his heart to betray Christ.
- 12:03And so Judas is a foreshadowing. He's a, he's a little picture of
- 12:08what the Antichrist will be like.
- 12:10And so to go to the president of the United States and say he's
- 12:13like that, you're basically saying he's worse than Judas
- 12:16Iscariot because Judas is a little picture of the Antichrist
- 12:20that is coming. And you're saying, OK, so our
- 12:22president is worse than Judas. And what you're doing then
- 12:25you're saying that the man is potentially evil, demonic.
- 12:29And then the problem becomes it's morally necessary then to
- 12:34to stop him. And we keep getting
- 12:37assassination attempts because if somebody is possessed by
- 12:41Satan and the Antichrist need to be stopped, need to be stopped.
- 12:45And and so this is what happens then.
- 12:47And we even saw with the most recent shooter, like he is using
- 12:51Christian language and justification for the attempted
- 12:54murder and assassination of the president.
- 12:57And so you put these together and it's like, be responsible if
- 13:01you have a platform, if you're saying there is potentially the
- 13:04Antichrist possessed by Satan who will bring in the last days
- 13:08and destroy the earth. If some kook believes that
- 13:11they're like, well, then I need to shoot him to save the world.
- 13:15And that's where we are. Yeah, 100%.
- 13:17And yeah, I, I feel like as a pastor witnessing Trump,
- 13:21everybody's like, is he saved? Is he not saved?
- 13:23I, I I don't think any of us can answer that question.
- 13:25The Lord knows whose or his. That's what the Bible says.
- 13:28But as a he's a very confident and sometimes arrogant man
- 13:31that's very good with his words. And he always fumbles a bit
- 13:35around are you going to heaven? Are you do you love Jesus?
- 13:39And he always is like, well, I've messed up so much in my
- 13:42life. I'm I'm not going to heaven like
- 13:44and he kind of makes a joke out of it.
- 13:45Like he's usually very good with his words around Jesus.
- 13:48He he he struggles because I, I think he knows there's a power
- 13:52above him and something that he doesn't know if he's good enough
- 13:55to go to heaven or if if a relationship with Jesus is good
- 13:57enough for him. Like he seems like a guy in
- 13:59process always with it of like I'm I'm not fully confident that
- 14:03I'm a Christian and that's most Christians are you you say if if
- 14:08you're wondering if you're. If you're worried about going to
- 14:11heaven, you're probably a Christian.
- 14:13But then we see, like Franklin Graham writes him a nice letter
- 14:17saying it's not by your works, it's by the work of Jesus, the
- 14:20grace of God that you are saved, you know, repent of sin, receive
- 14:24Jesus as Savior, does a great job, as Franklin always does.
- 14:28And what does the president do? He posted online with no edits
- 14:31or modifications. And he basically takes his
- 14:34platform to allow Franklin Graham to proclaim the gospel to
- 14:38the nations. And you're like, well, that's
- 14:42cool. That's cool.
- 14:42And I don't think the Antichrist is trying to promote Franklin
- 14:46Graham's evangelism. 100% I don't think the Antichrist, like
- 14:51on Easter he's reading the Bible in the Oval Office for the whole
- 14:55world to see two years before it was transvisibility day with
- 14:59Biden. Like things have gotten better,
- 15:03things have gotten better. So Pastor Mark the Antichrist.
- 15:06Why are Christians so obsessed with identifying this person?
- 15:10You know, I mean, it's like gambling, It's like sports.
- 15:14It's like we don't know what it's going to be, you know?
- 15:16And so we're trying to speculate, we're trying to
- 15:19anticipate. There's always been Christians
- 15:22that get enamoured with the end times.
- 15:25And I think particularly in this day with an older generation of
- 15:29boomers that are more dispensational, it's just like a
- 15:34part time hobby. Like if you're a Bible nerd,
- 15:37some people live in different parts of the Bible.
- 15:39The end Times people are this eccentric little tinfoil hat
- 15:42crowd that tend to live there and but at the end of the day,
- 15:46when Jesus returns, we don't know.
- 15:50There are some events that seem to precede his coming.
- 15:53But when he comes, our goal should be to be busy doing the
- 15:57things that he is assigned and called us to do and that he
- 16:00comes back when he comes back and whenever, if he comes back
- 16:03soon, I want him to see me doing what he asked me to do.
- 16:06So there's Martin Luther, the great Protestant reformer.
- 16:09They asked him on one occasion, So if you knew Jesus was coming
- 16:12back tomorrow, what would you do today?
- 16:14Said I'd plant a tree. What he's saying is like, I
- 16:16would be living my life and if Jesus wants to come back, he's
- 16:20going to see me busy. And, and the whole point of 1st
- 16:23and 2nd Thessalonians, part of it is which Tucker quotes.
- 16:27They thought Jesus would come back in 15 minutes.
- 16:29So they all quit their jobs and they're all just sitting around
- 16:32and like, you know, cashing out their, their retirement funds
- 16:36and racking up their credit cards and Paul's like it's going
- 16:40to be a while. You guys need to and and here we
- 16:42are a few thousand years later, but everyone.
- 16:45'S still like it's going to happen.
- 16:46Yeah, there's still a percentage of people that are like, we
- 16:48cashed out our retirement, we racked up our credit cards
- 16:51because Jesus is coming back, We don't have to pay it off.
- 16:53He's like, that's not how it works.
- 16:54They get busy. Yep, 100%.
- 16:59Yeah. It's it.
- 17:00It feels like an end times obsessed generation.
- 17:03And as a young guy, I'm looking at it and I'm like, I want, I
- 17:05want to have a future. I want, I want my son to grow
- 17:08up. I want him to have kids and I'm
- 17:10excited for whenever the Lord chooses to return.
- 17:12But I'm not going to obsess over it.
- 17:14It it will come. Well, and like, I mean, you've
- 17:17got, I mean, you've got a son. I've got grandkids.
- 17:19Now. If Jesus returns, of course, I'm
- 17:22overjoyed. I want to see those kids grow
- 17:24up. I want to see them get married.
- 17:25I want to see them start their families.
- 17:27I want to see what God has for them like and, and I think this
- 17:31is where when you this, I don't know, I've never really thought
- 17:35about this. Maybe this will be offensive.
- 17:36I think the less you get connected to your children and
- 17:39grandchildren, the more you get connected to eschatology
- 17:42that'll. Hurt some people.
- 17:45And I think there is a generation of older people that
- 17:48they they are not invested in their kids.
- 17:50They're not really present and invested in their grandkids.
- 17:53And so they're pontificating. When is Jesus coming and when do
- 17:55I need to return? If you're focused on investing
- 17:58in your kids, your grandkids, maybe your great grandkids,
- 18:00you're like, I'm not worried about the end times.
- 18:02I want to make sure that we're creating the best possible
- 18:04future for those people that I love so dearly.
- 18:07And if Jesus returns, great. And so this will sound very
- 18:11offensive but most of the boomers that suck at being
- 18:14grandparents are addicted to eschatology and I believe there
- 18:19is a correlation and they should repent of being addicted to
- 18:22eschatology and take their time and energy and invest it in
- 18:25their kids and grandkids. I love it and the team will clip
- 18:28that out and will purge a bunch of followers and it'll be great.
- 18:31I love it. I I think it's.
- 18:33Good. I mean, I believe I. 100% agree.
- 18:34I believe in the second coming of Christ.
- 18:36I have an eschatology. I, I, I believe in all of this,
- 18:39but at the end of the day, like I'm on the welcoming committee,
- 18:43not the planning committee, you know, I don't know when he's
- 18:45coming back, but when he does, I'll blow my kazoo.
- 18:47I love it. I love it.
- 18:48And Pastor Mark. To close out this segment, I
- 18:52feel like Tucker tried to take what's in the Bible and maybe
- 18:57manipulate it, read it in a sloppy way and kind of give
- 19:00people a context for what the Antichrist will look like or
- 19:02what, and then allude to it being Trump.
- 19:05Taking what you've read in the Bible for the average blue
- 19:08collar guy, what would this guy look like?
- 19:11What, what would, what would the attributes be of the Antichrist
- 19:15for the truck driver? That's like, I don't, I don't, I
- 19:18don't fully theologically have the depth to understand this,
- 19:21but I'd like to have some parameters when I'm looking out
- 19:24there. Let me give you 2 potential
- 19:25candidates. So one, there's this constant
- 19:28effort to have a one world government and a one world
- 19:31currency. And you saw a push toward that
- 19:34during COVID. We have a, you know, air quotes,
- 19:37you know, medical emergency. Now we, every nation needs to
- 19:40give up their sovereignty and their liberty so that we can
- 19:44save the planet. So there's, there's all of these
- 19:47efforts to do globalism. Well, if all the nations come
- 19:50together and there's some sort of overarching governing legal
- 19:54body, you know, political body, medical body, financial body,
- 19:58whatever that governing body is, the question is who's going to
- 20:01be in charge? And whoever is in charge now has
- 20:04global authority and power. Well, if I'm Satan, I want my
- 20:09guy in that role. That would be the the strategic
- 20:13place to put the Antichrist. The other way you could get
- 20:18there is honestly, the vision of Islam is so their eschatology,
- 20:24their end times beliefs is that Islam will spread across the
- 20:29globe, usher in Sharia law, and that all the nations will be
- 20:35ruled by Islam. And then a global Islamic leader
- 20:40will rise up and will oversee the rule of Islam on planet
- 20:45Earth. That would be a great role for
- 20:49the Antichrist. I mean, you talk about an
- 20:51Islamic ruler. Who else would be Antichrist
- 20:56other than a secular globalist or a global jihadist?
- 21:01Those are both great candidates for the Antichrist.
- 21:04Yeah, that's really good. That's really good.
- 21:07Really really helpful. So the the whole goal of Islam
- 21:09is to usher the way for what Christian eschatology says is
- 21:13the Antichrist. It's really good.
- 21:17It's really good. I think that's a really helpful
- 21:18context for the average guy just trying to understand this and.
- 21:21The whole world comes together. A bad guy's going to be in
- 21:24charge of it, and if the Muslims rule, it's going to be
- 21:26Antichrist. For sure very Antichrist.
- 21:29Yeah, and that's where, you know, I don't know, Tucker.
- 21:31I've not met him. You know, I don't hate him.
- 21:33He seems to be my brother in Christ.
- 21:34But like, I, I would encourage those who are followers of his
- 21:38like don't keep shooting the Jews.
- 21:41Instead, you know, fix your gaze on Islam and see what their
- 21:45eschatology actually is. And, and their eschatology,
- 21:49their, their view of the end times actually aligns with
- 21:52Second Thessalonians 2. And so you could make an
- 21:55incredibly stronger case that Islam leads to the Antichrist
- 22:02than Donald Trump. Love it really good Peshmark
- 22:06very helpful cause yeah, we're, we're in a world full of
- 22:08podcasters right now and we need discernment and truth.
- 22:11So appreciate you being courageous with that and
- 22:14explaining it. So next Next up Pastor Mark, we
- 22:17have the Biden administration targeting Christians.
- 22:20This week the Trump administration released a
- 22:23massive 565 page report outlining the attack, the
- 22:27attacking of Christians by the Biden administration and the
- 22:30main two issues. Nonviolent pro-life protesters
- 22:34received significantly harsher sentences than violent
- 22:37offenders. As well as the FB is Richmond
- 22:41Field Office relied on disputed claims from the Southern Poverty
- 22:45Law Center to justify monitoring radical traditional Catholics
- 22:49despite no evidence of criminal activity.
- 22:52Even though the FBI internally questioned the SPLC credibility,
- 22:57it's still used its hate group designations in threat
- 23:00assessments. It also alleges financial links
- 23:03between the Tides Foundation, US Aid funding and the SPLC, and
- 23:09notes that Charlie Kirk was added to the SPL CS watch list
- 23:12shortly before his death. So man, I would not want to
- 23:16watch a radical traditional Catholics.
- 23:18Can you imagine being on that state count?
- 23:21So, so radical traditional Catholics.
- 23:23They're probably talking about pre Vatican 2 Latin Mass
- 23:26Catholics. That was my grandmother.
- 23:30When my grandfather died, my grandmother joined a lay order
- 23:33of nuns and became a pre Vatican 2 Latin Mass Catholic.
- 23:38I'm telling you, these people are not terrorists.
- 23:41Very boring. These are grandmas that pray the
- 23:43rosary all day, and so they are they are not a credible threat.
- 23:49Meanwhile, Islam doing what they want in America.
- 23:52Yeah. When's the last time you're
- 23:54like, hey, yeah, we had a, a, a significant terrorist attack
- 23:59from a grandmother with rosary beads who likes Latin?
- 24:03I'm not sure there's been a Catholic terrorist attack ever,
- 24:06no. No, Catholics who love Jesus are
- 24:10on the team, and they're not a problem.
- 24:11But this is where you see the weaponization of government.
- 24:15This is a government, you know, in the Biden administration And,
- 24:19and, and I want to remind everybody who's frustrated with
- 24:21President Trump, you know, not to be an apologist for him, but
- 24:26I mean, they were running Biden and he we know that cognitively,
- 24:31he has been on vacation for years.
- 24:34Yeah, none of this was his. He doesn't like I hate
- 24:37Christians but man, he just let the door open to a bunch of
- 24:40demos and. He's disappeared because you
- 24:42know, he's dying. Or dead.
- 24:44Yeah, or yeah, I mean, yeah, I mean brain dead and then
- 24:47physically we call it later. But but this is this is what we
- 24:51were looking at is the option. And it is, it is an intentional
- 24:56targeting of Christians, but especially pro-life Christians,
- 25:00saying that if you're pro-life, you're radical from from a group
- 25:05that believes in the murder of children right up till birth and
- 25:08the mutilation of children and just vaccinating whole
- 25:12populations with experimental drugs.
- 25:15And none of that's radical. That's all very reasonable.
- 25:18But if you're if you're thinking you know there's a baby there
- 25:21and let's let him be born, then you're a radical.
- 25:25Straight to jail. Straight to jail and, and the
- 25:28Southern Poverty Law Center. I mean, we now know that, you
- 25:30know, like USAID was just a, it was a corrupt Piggy Bank to fund
- 25:34left-leaning nonprofits like the Southern Poverty Law Center and
- 25:38Christianity Day. We know that they're all just
- 25:41damnable crooks and corrupt to their core.
- 25:44And then what happens is you have this waterfall of money
- 25:47that then goes to fund things that are Antichrist from the
- 25:50government and the Southern Poverty Law Center.
- 25:53We now know they're funding the KKK.
- 25:55They're funding racist groups to be able to then have an enemy to
- 26:00attack, to justify their reduction of civil liberties, to
- 26:04protect people from groups that are being funded by them.
- 26:08And it's all a massive ruse and they Charlie Kirk on the list as
- 26:12a danger right before he is murdered.
- 26:15And all of that is your tax dollars at work.
- 26:17That's wild. That's wild.
- 26:20In the Biden administration, they weren't Kamala and Biden.
- 26:25They they weren't highly intelligent people.
- 26:27I think for a while I was like, oh, she's a Jezebel.
- 26:29I don't know if she's smart enough to even be a Jezebel.
- 26:31I think they're just a demonic. Cesspool of I'm not sure if she
- 26:34could spell Jezebel. I know.
- 26:36Well, no, for sure. She she could laugh, but it
- 26:39feels like the whole administration was just the
- 26:41demonic cesspool of anyone with money got to decide policies,
- 26:45and the demonic just had a field day.
- 26:47Yeah, through all these crazy policies, like Biden didn't sit,
- 26:51sit down and like, let's go against Christians, but the
- 26:54people funding him did. Well, and then the, the swamp
- 26:57that's working in DC, you know, they take the money and they,
- 27:01they do things that are opposed. Again, what they're doing is
- 27:05Antichrist doesn't mean they're the Antichrist, but it's the
- 27:08spirit of Antichrist because it's against life and it's
- 27:12against Christians and it's against Christ.
- 27:15And so this is where I continually get funded.
- 27:18Just frustrated with an older generation of pastors who are
- 27:20like, we need to stay out of politics.
- 27:22Hey, they were resting pro-life people praying, you know,
- 27:29peacefully, peacefully on a sidewalk, You know, I, I mean,
- 27:34and meanwhile you've got people that are, are, are very radical.
- 27:38They're entering into churches, they're harassing pro-life
- 27:43silent protesters. And, and there's not, there's
- 27:45not the same level under that administration of any sort of
- 27:49justice. It's, it's, it's a tip scale and
- 27:52it's unjust. So when Christians are being
- 27:54told like stay out of politics and stay out of voting, it's,
- 27:57it's, it's another way of saying, hey, you know what?
- 28:00Satan won't stay out of politics, but the Holy Spirit
- 28:03should. And God's enemies won't stay out
- 28:05of politics, but God's children should.
- 28:08And those who are in power hate us.
- 28:10And what we don't want to do is replace them with people who
- 28:13love our God. I mean, how do you and the and
- 28:16the question is, how is that Christian fidelity and
- 28:19integrity? How is that loving God and
- 28:22loving neighbor, which is what Jesus said is the summary of
- 28:26everything you know, love God, love your neighbors.
- 28:28Like it's neither of those. No, it's just.
- 28:31Damnable cowardice. And there are too many cowards
- 28:37in Christian leadership in the evangelical church.
- 28:40And Big Eva is a lot like Big Government.
- 28:43It's run by soft people who are lacking convictions, and they
- 28:48are well funded to be passive and to allow evil to do whatever
- 28:53the hell it wants. And it's why most of the
- 28:56seminaries are dying and closing.
- 28:58It's God's judgement. It's why most of the Bible
- 29:01colleges are soft woke and most of the Christian platforms are
- 29:05soft woke and under judgement. And it's why Third Way
- 29:08evangelicalism is literally the first step in apostasy.
- 29:13And that is there's the left and the right, and we're going to
- 29:15stay in the middle. There is no middle with
- 29:18murdering children. There's no middle with
- 29:21mutilating children. There's no middle with
- 29:24imprisoning Catholic grandmothers who are praying.
- 29:27There's no middle. There's right and there's wrong
- 29:31and there is good and there is evil.
- 29:33And if you're in the middle, you're evil and you're wrong.
- 29:37And that's the problem with Third Way evangelicalism.
- 29:40It it, it not only allows this, it participates in it.
- 29:44Yep, 100%. It's a strong word, but I think
- 29:47a very needed word. I was just pulling up.
- 29:51You remember the gal, right? Right before Charlie Kirk was
- 29:56assassinated there was a young gal that had her neck slit on.
- 29:59On the train in Charlotte. Yeah, so the the evil man that
- 30:03killed her, he's unfit for trial, so.
- 30:06He's crazy, so he's OK. He's OK.
- 30:08So to your point, evil seems to be getting away with things and
- 30:12the Christians and the people that are fighting are the ones
- 30:15that end up in jail. And like, it's hard to, it's
- 30:18hard the the battle between good and evil right now.
- 30:22It's hard to be on the good side.
- 30:23And it's you are judged much more strictly and that that soft
- 30:28middle you get guys like this. I think he'd like 67 offenses
- 30:33before he did that. Yeah, it's a career criminal.
- 30:36Just murdered a young girl for no reason and we we need pastors
- 30:41to stand up for good and evil. Yeah.
- 30:43But then I mean, during the last election we had certain
- 30:45evangelical leaders saying vote Democrat.
- 30:47We had certain platforms like Christianity saying abstain from
- 30:51boating and it's like, so, so, so you want the, you want the
- 30:56government to be weaponized against life and faith.
- 31:01Well, that just tells me what team you're on.
- 31:05That that 100%. And you've said many times
- 31:08there'll be a long line of pastors in hell.
- 31:11Yes, they will have their own zip code and it'll be well,
- 31:16popular because the Bible says not many of you should presume
- 31:19to be teachers. You'll be judged more strictly,
- 31:21meaning the standard is higher, the expectations are higher.
- 31:25And this is where there's a lot of genuine Bible believing
- 31:29Christians that are just at the point of being really pissed
- 31:33because they are more conservative and more biblically
- 31:37faithful than their pastors and denominations and networks.
- 31:42And they're like, why is it that to the left are the people that
- 31:45are supposed to be leading me in righteousness and they're more
- 31:48compromised and cowardly? It's it's madding and it's
- 31:52frustrating and it's causing a lot of true believers to have a
- 31:55hard time just finding a a church.
- 31:59It's ridiculous. I was just looking up.
- 32:00I think I saw an article this morning, the one of the main
- 32:03guys in the Gospel Coalition, he's gay.
- 32:06It came out and he's been the one advocating that.
- 32:09Like, pull that up, let's do. That I know I'm I'm getting I'm
- 32:12getting the facts so I. Mean Hospital is about
- 32:16repentance. So is he an active gay or is he?
- 32:19It came out that he had an inappropriate relationship with
- 32:21a guy, but he was the one writing all the policy that was
- 32:24allowing, like really being gay. Is I don't draw on the Internet.
- 32:27I know. Let me pull up the facts so I so
- 32:29I don't give you bad information.
- 32:30All right. Jeez.
- 32:34Well, let's jump into the Animal Farm.
- 32:36We'll come back to this at the end 'cause I think it'll be a
- 32:38fun. I mean, it's yeah, let's do it.
- 32:40Let's do animals and dudes acting like animals with other
- 32:44dudes. Let's, I know, let's go, Matt
- 32:46Walsh, and then we'll come back to this.
- 32:48So I don't think I've ever seen a movie that so thoroughly fails
- 32:52to capture the tone and meaning of the original work that it's
- 32:55based on. I mean, we've seen many attempts
- 32:59at adaptations that have failed spectacularly, but I don't think
- 33:05we've ever seen one that is quite this off, even just
- 33:08tonally. So they've taken this
- 33:10masterpiece of, of literature, which was supposed to be a
- 33:13warning about communism, and they've turned into this like
- 33:16slapstick, kid friendly Zootopia type of thing with pop music and
- 33:23fart jokes. And and worst of all, and most
- 33:26predictably, predictably of all, they've completely removed the
- 33:30core message, the point about communism.
- 33:34And apparently in this film, they've invented a new villain
- 33:37who is, of course, a rich white capitalist scheming to take over
- 33:42the farm or whatever. Which if you'd never read the
- 33:45book, or if it's been a long time, you read it in middle
- 33:48school or something, that that villain is not in that book.
- 33:53And it's even worse than it appears in the trailer.
- 33:55The the The Telegraph has this report on it says in this CGI
- 33:59retelling, Circus, who rose to prominence as Golem Lord of the
- 34:02Rings, has said he wanted to make Orwell's work accessible
- 34:05and not overtly political and suitable for a modern audience.
- 34:11It would take a political allegory and make it not
- 34:13political. OK, so you just want to make a
- 34:15different, you just want to make a different movie is what you
- 34:17want to do. So you just want to make a movie
- 34:20about animals on a farm. You can do that.
- 34:23You know what? You can just make a movie.
- 34:24You don't have to call it Animal Farm.
- 34:26There are 1,000,000 titles that would work.
- 34:28You just want to make a movie about silly animals on a farm
- 34:31and a big evil billionaire person who's trying to take over
- 34:35the farm. You can.
- 34:36You can make that movie. Just go make that movie.
- 34:38You don't have to call it Animal Farm.
- 34:42It's a pretty wild Pastor Mark, A kids movie was released a
- 34:46couple weeks ago, a few weeks ago, promoted by many of the
- 34:50conservative influencers because they were sold what this movie
- 34:53was about to kids movie. Great message bring your whole
- 34:56family out. Angel Studios.
- 34:59It's a Christian, a Christian film studio and we actually had
- 35:02a a Hollywood guy on a few weeks ago that helped kind of pull the
- 35:05curtain back on that and where the money's coming from.
- 35:08So man, what a weird day and age we are in right now for kids and
- 35:13what they're allowed to watch. What why are there such deep
- 35:17messages embedded in films like this?
- 35:19Can, can, can our kids just enjoy Tom and Jerry and Toy
- 35:23Story and things that are just good for them?
- 35:26No, because movies and shows are sermons.
- 35:30Entertainment. Entertainment is a sermon, and
- 35:34it's presenting A worldview and an ideology.
- 35:37And it's done with less discernment because unlike A
- 35:41lecture, entertainment isn't critically engaged.
- 35:44It's just passively consumed. This is why.
- 35:48This is why things like music and film, they're, they're
- 35:51powerful. The average person will listen
- 35:53to their favorite sermon 3 times and their favorite song 3000
- 35:56times. You know 100.
- 35:58Percent. I mean, people will go through
- 36:00and they'll, they'll watch, they'll binge watch a show and
- 36:05probably devote more time and energy to it than Bible reading.
- 36:09And so, you know, So what happens is, especially with a
- 36:12child, their worldview is being formed and, and, and unless the
- 36:16parent is intentionally training them in discernment, they're
- 36:20just passively consuming. And so, yeah, when it comes to
- 36:24angels studios, we know that the, the brothers who founded
- 36:27it, it's, well, it's in Provo, UT is the headquarters.
- 36:30So it's like the heart of Mormonism and the brothers are
- 36:35that founded it. They're devout Mormons, and so
- 36:39Angel Studios, Oh, well, it's interesting they say Angel
- 36:42'cause it was the IT was an Angel that showed up to Joseph
- 36:46Smith and it was a demon masquerading as an Angel that
- 36:49created now the largest cult of Mormonism.
- 36:53And so with Angel Studios as well, I've got a few notes.
- 36:56They do do Catholic stories like Cabrini, evangelical productions
- 37:01like The Chosen and Bonhoeffer, Old Testament stories like His
- 37:05Only Son and broad based sort of values projects like Sound of
- 37:10Freedom and Sound of Hope. And so there's some projects
- 37:14that come out and you're like, OK, those are pretty good.
- 37:16But if you take everything in the catalog, you're also going
- 37:19to get a lot of Mormon. A lot of Mormon.
- 37:22And this is where. And a little Mormon is a lot of
- 37:24Mormon. For a little Mormon is, yeah,
- 37:26like a like a little cancer. It's going to be a problem.
- 37:30So what the, the, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day
- 37:34Saints, the Mormons, what they're trying to do is
- 37:36repackage and reposition themselves as a Christian
- 37:39denomination. You've got the Assemblies of
- 37:43God, you got the Presbyterians, you got the Baptists.
- 37:46And we're, you know, we're, we're this other denomination,
- 37:49which they're not. They have different books of the
- 37:51Bible. They have a different Jesus,
- 37:54they have a different way of salvation.
- 37:57And so it's all, it's all just demonic counterfeit.
- 38:01And so when they start putting out stories that not only go
- 38:05from the religious spiritual lane over to the political
- 38:09worldview lane, and now you're sort of anti capitalism, it's
- 38:15like, OK, these are children, which means parents need to
- 38:20practice incredible discernment. And so I'll ask you like, you've
- 38:24got Cowboy. He's his next birthday.
- 38:26He'll be three. I mean as a parent, like what do
- 38:29you do to to to use entertainment as a discipleship
- 38:34opportunity but also to mitigate garbage coming into your son?
- 38:38Yeah, so I, I 100% agree with your discipleship with your
- 38:44kids. Where All right, we're going to
- 38:46sit down, we're going to watch this together.
- 38:47And if there's anything weird, we're going to pause it, we're
- 38:49going to talk about it. But in the toddler phase,
- 38:52they're they're consuming a lot and they don't quite have the
- 38:56discernment to stop and understand if something's
- 38:58contrary to something. They should be forming A
- 39:01worldview for them. So we're very, very careful.
- 39:04Almost every show we show indie is from the 90s, eighties, 90s,
- 39:09very wholesome. There's pretty much no story
- 39:11being told. There's no alternative motive
- 39:14behind this. The Tom and Jerry or he loves
- 39:17old monster truck. He loves watching construction
- 39:19equipment with no voices. Like he just watches
- 39:22construction equipment do stuff. And that's good for a boy.
- 39:25When I grew up, my parents just gave me a bunch of DVDs and it
- 39:28was like the A-Team and Knight Rider.
- 39:31And that formed most of my childhood.
- 39:33And I'm not, I thought, I think that's a that was not a bad idea
- 39:37because they've shown what if you let your kids watch like
- 39:40YouTube Kids, it'll just the auto populate and that comes
- 39:44after and after it is wild what they'll start showing your kids.
- 39:482/3 of Netflix kids shows include LGBTQ agenda, 2/3 of
- 39:53what's on there. So we are incredibly careful.
- 39:58We're not overly sheltering like there's, but there's so much
- 40:01that is great. Like 90% of stuff that's been
- 40:04made is awesome. Just stuff in the last decade
- 40:07has such an agenda to it. Well, a lot of that is Disney
- 40:11being the primary driver and with an incredibly woke agenda
- 40:16that is anti faith and family and pro LGBTQIA and whatever the
- 40:21rest of the alphabet soup is, then a lot of the other
- 40:25companies are going to be following the lead.
- 40:28And it's it's, it is so off of the vision that Walt Disney
- 40:33originally had. Yeah, you go watch like the the
- 40:37movie Cars or something and you about cry at the end of the
- 40:40movie and it's like, this is wholesome.
- 40:41This is a good story. This is remembering America,
- 40:44friendships. And it's a great story. 20 years
- 40:48later. It's like you want to throw up
- 40:50after you watch a Disney movie. It's like, which lesbian
- 40:52Princess is there now? What?
- 40:54It's detached from reality. It's not what kids should be
- 40:58learning. But this is where conservative
- 41:00influencers cause part of this. The frustration too is we know
- 41:04that legacy media is corrupt and it it is run by advertisers and
- 41:09dollars that are pushing an agenda and A and a narrative.
- 41:13We know that. So then there rises in
- 41:16independent media, podcasters, bloggers, things like this.
- 41:21But then if those people start signing the wrong endorsement
- 41:24deals and AD deals, they end up becoming the legacy media.
- 41:32And it's just it's pay to play. And it's, you know, and the
- 41:36Bible talks about a hireling. A hireling is somebody that will
- 41:41say and do what they're paid to say and do.
- 41:44A prophet, you know, speaks for God and a hireling speaks for
- 41:48employment. And so you've really got to
- 41:52watch like, where are our dollars coming from?
- 41:54And now are they influencing the things that we endorse and the
- 41:58messages that we communicate? Because if you claim to be not
- 42:02just a conservative, but a Christian whose highest loyalty
- 42:06is to Jesus Christ, you've got to make sure that you're not
- 42:11cashing in checks that compromise your Christian
- 42:15convictions. And if you're going to support
- 42:18something, you know, you should do it.
- 42:21Like if I, if you're ever going to support like a kids movie,
- 42:23like watch it so you send me the movie, They're like, we can't do
- 42:29that. Then I can't endorse something
- 42:30I've not seen. I can't say have your child
- 42:32watch something that they didn't let me see.
- 42:35Yeah, you, you cannot promote something to children.
- 42:38You, you absolutely can't. There's I, I don't know, I I'd
- 42:42be real skeptic of almost any kids movie being made nowadays.
- 42:45There's a few good ones that have come out like Young David
- 42:47and things like that, that are great for kids.
- 42:49But man, there's so much. There's so much in the history
- 42:53of entertainment that's been awesome for kids.
- 42:55The Veggietales used to be great.
- 42:56Now the guy's like woke off as. He is whatever.
- 43:00Yeah, but like, it used to just be Bible stories for kids.
- 43:03And we watched Easter, me and Andy, we watched the Easter
- 43:06Bunny and the retelling of the Easter story, and that's fun for
- 43:11a kid. Now it's not fun for kids.
- 43:12It's like, holy crap, are you indoctrinating my kid?
- 43:15And I think every parent needs to have that that lens on when
- 43:20they're deciding, when entertainment goes into their
- 43:22kids brains 'cause it is forming everything about a kid ages 2 to
- 43:275 are the most formative of a kids worldview.
- 43:31You don't get those years back once.
- 43:32Once they've watched and interpreted and been fed these
- 43:36things, it's hard to get their worldview to change.
- 43:39So two things come to mind. We can move on.
- 43:40One is. We got to get the gay stuff.
- 43:42Get your kids books and encourage them to read and he.
- 43:46Loves to read, as you know. Yeah.
- 43:48And then the other is, you know, maybe we'll time stamp this.
- 43:51And someday I would love to see if we could start to do projects
- 43:56like here's John Knox and here's Martin Luther and here's
- 44:01Catherine Luther. And and for kids, the Stella,
- 44:04the telling of the heroes of the faith and some of the
- 44:06biographies. Here's Boniface.
- 44:09These are the stories that I told our, you know, that our
- 44:11kids got grown up and like, maybe at some point, maybe
- 44:16that's something that we could take on is like, you know,
- 44:18historical biographies of Christian leaders for kids so
- 44:22that they have aspirational figures to look up to.
- 44:26I love it. I'm in.
- 44:27I think the real Faith team's in, so more to come on that.
- 44:30Yeah, we can go have lunch and talk about.
- 44:32It yeah, I don't. Know all right so this one's
- 44:35going to be fun. This is going to be like, you're
- 44:38going to enjoy this segment, Pastor Mark.
- 44:39So did a little quick research. Oh.
- 44:42We're back to the Gospel Coalition.
- 44:43Yeah, we're not going to the Charlie Kirk thing.
- 44:45We'll we'll hold on that. So Sam Albury, the most high
- 44:50profile side be celibate gay Christian voice in the reformed
- 44:55evangelical world. He's an associate pastor at
- 44:58Emmanuel Nashville, where Russell Moore and Gay Gavin
- 45:03Ortland are both on staff, as well as Piper's son, Barnabas.
- 45:09They're all on staff together at this church.
- 45:12Is he the senior pastor or one of the guys?
- 45:14He's one of the pastor's Sam Albury, but he's a council
- 45:18member at the Gospel Coalition and he is a regular contributor.
- 45:23And he was disqualified this week for having an inappropriate
- 45:28relationship with a man a few years back.
- 45:33But he I didn't I I guess I didn't know that side B was a
- 45:38something that Christians held. Same sex attraction is real and
- 45:42not chosen but acting on it is sinful.
- 45:45So live celibately. I guess he argued for guys of
- 45:49same sex could like, live together, be really close
- 45:52friends, but you just can't have penetrative sex.
- 45:55And that's OK. I don't know.
- 45:57I didn't know you could be a gay pastor.
- 46:00But here's the crazy thing. Tim Keller requested he speak at
- 46:03his funeral. OK, well we just, we just, we
- 46:07just found the infection point for the woke soft woke smarmy
- 46:12self-righteous priggish with the G's conservative ish adjacent
- 46:20hypocritical evangelical gospel coalition.
- 46:25Desiring God Acts 29 Young, restless Reformed has now
- 46:29officially become conformed and deformed.
- 46:33It's wild. You'd think this was satire.
- 46:37So what did you see in the Gospel Coalition that other
- 46:39people didn't? So I was early on.
- 46:43I sat around the table and they they're academics, They hate
- 46:50large churches, they hate successful people, they hate
- 46:53prophetic voices. They hate anything on the right
- 46:56that is conservative. They hate anything that is
- 46:58associated or affiliated with Donald Trump.
- 47:01Some of the work that they do is helpful and good when it just
- 47:04sticks to the Bible, which makes it confusing and it makes it
- 47:09compromised. And I stepped away when they
- 47:15started bringing in people to talk about critical race theory,
- 47:20and it was the beginning of the deconstructing of faithful
- 47:24orthodoxy. And this is where academic
- 47:27Christianity, separated from local church practice,
- 47:32inevitably becomes apostate because you're looking for the
- 47:35approval of academia, and academia is Antichrist.
- 47:41And so, yeah, But on this one, I mean, you know, is he married?
- 47:46Does he have a family? No, so the the same sex so he
- 47:52could be The view he had was you can be.
- 47:55I'm gay but celibate forever. So was he celibate or did he
- 47:58have a family? No, he was celibate, but then he
- 48:01was sleeping with guys. Well, it's not celibate.
- 48:03You suck at celibacy. Yeah, I'm the celibate guy who's
- 48:06sleeping with another guy. Yeah, that's the that's the
- 48:09thing. And I mean, it's pretty wild on
- 48:11staff with Russell Moore. So I am theologically reformed.
- 48:16I hold, I hold to what would be a reform soteriology, I hold to
- 48:20the solas of the Protestant Reformation.
- 48:22And I have since I started preaching at the age of like 20.
- 48:27So I I've stayed right in my lane.
- 48:28I have not moved an inch but but when you have someone who is at
- 48:37the centre and is platformed and is a sodomite.
- 48:45To the level of Tim Keller personally requesting him to
- 48:47speak at his funeral. Like the list of guys you're
- 48:49going to have speak at your funeral you're pretty close to?
- 48:52Him not not nobody at the pickle is going to be preaching at my
- 48:55funeral. Yeah, no, I mean like, hey, come
- 48:59on, Romans one. This is unnatural.
- 49:02This is perversion. And And so, yeah, I mean, my
- 49:07question is going to be now it's like, is there going to be an
- 49:09outcry? Is there going to be a there
- 49:10needs to be a repentance of sin? We need clear lines for sexual
- 49:13activity. We need to redraw the lines
- 49:16about, you know, masculinity. The answer will be no, because
- 49:20we only punch to the right. We don't punch to the left and
- 49:23we will attack Elijah, but we will not attack Sodom.
- 49:26Sodom and Gomorrah. No, and it just keeps happening.
- 49:28We start with Josh Joshua Harris as well that I kissed hating
- 49:32goodbye guys I. Kissed my wife goodbye, I kissed
- 49:34heaven goodbye, I kissed heterosexuality goodbye, I
- 49:37kissed my kids goodbye, and I kissed a gay Canadian hello.
- 49:42I mean, my generation pastorally is a dumpster fire.
- 49:48I just want to publicly apologize for my entire
- 49:52generation of pastors who are not just finishing poorly, but
- 50:00just finishing in a shocking, horrific, apostate, neutered,
- 50:09worthless, queer, feckless, spineless, hopeless, smarmy,
- 50:16self-righteous failure. Other than that, no opinions.
- 50:20I just cause these are the guys that'll attack me.
- 50:24It's like I've been faithful to my wife and teaching through
- 50:27books of the Bible for 30 years, and you're backing a guy who's
- 50:31on the back of a guy. Yeah, I this is a this is a guy
- 50:43on your lead team. That's what's wild here of the
- 50:47Gospel Coalition, best friends with the Christianity Today guys
- 50:50like the like, it feels like satire.
- 50:54It feels like is is this? Are these real headlines
- 50:57anymore? So we need to double check this
- 50:59before we go live because I don't know anything.
- 51:01Oh. It's 100, Yeah.
- 51:02I mean. I mean I I was not fact finding
- 51:05yesterday. I was actually running water
- 51:07slides for grandchildren and eating BBQ outside with my
- 51:12grandsons because that's what heterosexual men do.
- 51:17We BBQ with our grandkids and we wrestle with our grandsons. 100%
- 51:22yeah, But no, this is I think your point is 100% accurate.
- 51:26This is this is where it. Goes, there's a whole
- 51:28generation, though, of young men that are coming to church and
- 51:30they're coming to Christ and they're following the leadership
- 51:33of Charlie Kirk, who was their Big Brother.
- 51:35And they're saying, OK, I I want to know about Jesus.
- 51:38They walk in the church and they get this scuba loss, which is a
- 51:42Greek word. They get this scuba loss and,
- 51:46and, and at the end of the day, it's like there's a whole
- 51:49generation of young men that that want to be courageous.
- 51:53They want to be married, they want to be heterosexual.
- 51:55They want to have a family, they want to start a business.
- 51:58They want to lead people to Christ.
- 51:59They want to do something. And then Charlie gets shot and
- 52:03then the pastors say nothing and a bunch of them are don't vote
- 52:06or vote for Kamala Harris. And then these men show up at
- 52:09the church and this is the craptastic garbage that we're
- 52:12feeding a generation of young men.
- 52:14And it pisses me off because it's the first time in 50 years
- 52:18that we've seen young men flood into church and they want to
- 52:21know Jesus and they want to get activated and they want to be
- 52:24men of God. And they get this crap fed to
- 52:27them. And it's no wonder that they're
- 52:29angry and they're frustrated and they're venting online and
- 52:32they're leaving the church. Because if this is what you get,
- 52:35this ain't masculine, heterosexual biblical
- 52:40Christianity. This is a bunch of soft woke
- 52:43beta males who've accepted Ahab in their heart. 100 percent,
- 52:47100%. I mean, just the, the idea that
- 52:50there's a Reformed gay pastor, it's like I didn't.
- 52:54Yeah. I didn't.
- 52:55I didn't know we could do that. Yeah, I'm a vegan butcher.
- 52:58Like, I don't know what we're talking about.
- 53:00It is. It is asinine to me and.
- 53:03It's offensive. It's very offensive.
- 53:06Well, this has got to be like a celebrity esque church.
- 53:08I don't know if you know Emmanuel Nashville.
- 53:11I think I helped plan it perfect.
- 53:14Did Ray Ortland plan it? Gavin Ortland is one of the
- 53:18pastors. There, did Ray Ortland plan it?
- 53:20Oh. Let me find out.
- 53:21Because he's in Acts 29 and he's the one who said vote for Kamala
- 53:24Harris. Yep.
- 53:27So this is the heart of Acts 29, the Gospel Coalition, Desiring
- 53:31God, Young Restless reform, Christianity Today.
- 53:34This is officially the bottom of the septic tank, where the
- 53:38heaviest turds GO-1. 100%. So did, did, did, did.
- 53:41Ray found it. Pulling it up, it's pulling it
- 53:43up. I want to make sure I get it,
- 53:45give it yes. So that was an X-29 church under
- 53:48my leadership. Yep.
- 53:49Joined X-29 in 2009. OK, so there.
- 53:54So should they shut their church down?
- 53:56Well, they, I say at this point they got to flip a coin and see
- 53:59if it's a church. So I'll just tell you this, this
- 54:06this old man, the big doc's off the porch.
- 54:08I've been nice for a long time. I've officially moved on from
- 54:11that. Yeah, this is now crossing a
- 54:14line into heresy, apostasy, unrepentance, tolerance.
- 54:19And this is anti gospel. Mm hmm.
- 54:22It is. Yeah.
- 54:23Ray and Sam co-authored a book together, The Gay Guy and Ray.
- 54:26What was the book? You're not crazy gospel sanity
- 54:30for weary churches, so it sounds like a very soft book, but.
- 54:34Yeah, and I'd say if you're a dude riding another dude as a
- 54:37pastor, you are crazy. You are absolutely crazy and
- 54:40going to hell. Yeah, it is wild.
- 54:42It is wild. But I, I, I think, I think the
- 54:46church and Christianity as a whole needs your voice to rebuke
- 54:50this generation. I I was in the room.
- 54:52I know these people. You helped plant the church.
- 54:54It was an Acts 29 church and I was, I was the founder and
- 54:57president, who, by the way, never took a salary, was an
- 55:00unpaid volunteer, and now I would not send anyone to an Acts
- 55:0629 church. So if you want my opinion, you
- 55:09say I'm looking for a church. If it says Acts 29, do not even
- 55:12try it. It's a joke.
- 55:17It's a joke. You're the guy to say that.
- 55:19So I, I think that I think people need your clarity right
- 55:23now, 'cause. This is why I will provide
- 55:25clarity, no doubt. One of the one of the closing Q
- 55:31And As for the day, I think actually goes well with this
- 55:36because I, I think it's, it's it's a, it's a helpful question.
- 55:39You said healthy men would not pursue celibacy and poverty if
- 55:44Jesus and Paul were celibate and poor in ministry, Were they not
- 55:47healthy men? Can you be a celibate pastor?
- 55:49I I think there's a whole can of worms here with what we just saw
- 55:52happen here with a, a gay celibate pastor and yeah, so.
- 55:58So is this for my Catholic friends?
- 56:00All right, Catholic friends, I love you.
- 56:03And I think that the church could do better for you.
- 56:06So it's not between me and you. It's between me and the church
- 56:09because I think the church can do.
- 56:10I know the church can do better for you.
- 56:14So I was raised Catholic, Catholic school, altar boy, the
- 56:17whole deal. I was born actually in a
- 56:19Catholic hospital. I was baptized as a baby in a
- 56:22Catholic Church. So I come from an Irish Catholic
- 56:25family. I when I first became a
- 56:27Christian, I was open to when God called me into ministry, to
- 56:33being a Catholic. But God said Mary Grace, preach
- 56:37the Bible, train men, plant churches.
- 56:38He spoke to me audibly. You can't do that if you're a
- 56:41Catholic. So I became Protestant because I
- 56:46had to obey God. So for me this is very personal,
- 56:50like Martin Luther, I don't hate the Catholic Church.
- 56:52I think you could use some reform.
- 56:54And since, you know, since Vatican 2, there's been some
- 56:57reforms that I'm grateful for. Theologically, I am a pure
- 57:01Protestant. The soul is of the Reformation,
- 57:04grace alone, faith alone, Christ alone, Scripture alone, to God
- 57:06be the glory alone. I am a down the fairway classic
- 57:10Protestant. I believe the issue of
- 57:13justification is the issue of the Protestant Catholic, you
- 57:17know, fight and reformation. And I am clearly Protestant on
- 57:21justification. And so I do not believe that the
- 57:25Church is the mediator. I believe there is one mediator
- 57:27between man and God, and that's the man Christ Jesus.
- 57:29It is not the papacy, it is not the Church, it is not the
- 57:32sacraments. It is Christ mediated through
- 57:34the presence of the Holy Spirit. So here are the reasons why I
- 57:38would argue that the Catholic Church would be well served to
- 57:44have married priests #1 The Bible says it's not good for a
- 57:50man to be alone. That's before sin enters the
- 57:53world and it ain't good for a man to be alone.
- 57:57First Corinthians 7 Paul says because of so much sexual
- 58:01temptation, each man should have a wife.
- 58:06So God's answer to masculine Dr. and desire is a girl with your
- 58:12last name and now you've got to buy her house and be nice to her
- 58:15if you want to enjoy her. And that, that puts on a man
- 58:20some discipleship and some maturity #3 it says in First
- 58:25Timothy 3 and Titus one, it literally tells us who the
- 58:28leaders in the church should be. The husband of one wife,
- 58:32literally in the Greek, a one woman man.
- 58:34And he's a, he's not only a good husband, he's a good father.
- 58:38And his children love the Lord. And as a result, he's earned the
- 58:42right to go lead God's house 'cause he's LED at God's house,
- 58:46at his house. And he can go lead the church
- 58:49family 'cause he's led his family.
- 58:51And then his family isn't perfect, but they're an example.
- 58:54Oh, I guess that's what marriage looks like.
- 58:55And I guess that's what parenting looks like.
- 58:58Now, this one is wild for my Catholic friends.
- 59:02I love you, but buckle up. First Timothy 41 through three.
- 59:08Now the spirit expressly says that in the later times or the
- 59:11last days, some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves
- 59:15to deceitful spirits and the teaching of demons through the
- 59:19insincerity of liars. Whose consciences are seared
- 59:23first on the list? Those who forbid marriage.
- 59:29Dang, you said you were loaded to that one.
- 59:36Bob's tired. I'm in the middle of a capital
- 59:38campaign. I'm sleeping well and at this.
- 59:40Point, it's good content, right guys?
- 59:42Yeah, but if forbidding people to marry is the doctrine of
- 59:46demons, you probably shouldn't make it official papal policy.
- 59:52One could say. One could say, in addition, they
- 59:55would say, well, you know, the priests are not supposed to be
- 59:57married. They would say that the first
- 59:59Pope is Peter. Now I don't agree with that, but
- 1:00:02Peter was married. How do we know?
- 1:00:04He says we have a right to take that, that the apostles have a
- 1:00:08right to take a wife as we have. Furthermore, it mentions Peter
- 1:00:11in the Bible. It mentions is mother-in-law.
- 1:00:13Now, I know you love my wife, but you wouldn't sign up just
- 1:00:16for a mother-in-law unless you got a wife in the deal.
- 1:00:19For sure, for sure, numerous scandals.
- 1:00:24So, you know, you look at the adultery, you look at the
- 1:00:29pedophilia. And I'm not saying that all the
- 1:00:31priests are bad men. I'm saying let's just say most
- 1:00:34of them love Jesus and are good men that are, you know, sort of
- 1:00:38fighting the devil with one hand tied behind their back 'cause
- 1:00:41they don't have a wife and kids to go home to and they're
- 1:00:43tempted and alone. But the 2002 Los Angeles Times
- 1:00:51survey of US priests is considered generally the most
- 1:00:56accurate and in that 15% of priests self identify as
- 1:01:00completely or mostly homosexual. So in addition, sociologist Dee
- 1:01:12Paul Sullens, he's from the Catholic University of America.
- 1:01:18He says that 17% of US Catholics priests are homosexual in
- 1:01:22orientation, four to five times the general population.
- 1:01:28It it's a, it's a, it's a, a job role that attracts it.
- 1:01:32Well, it it's like I would never take the job.
- 1:01:34You would never take the job. None of the guys here would ever
- 1:01:37take the jobs. I want to get married to a girl
- 1:01:40and be a dad and then someday, by the grace of God, be a
- 1:01:43granddad and a great granddad. And you know why 'cause that's
- 1:01:47how God made men. Yeah, and it feels like I, I, I
- 1:01:50struggle with the argument where people are like, well, Jesus.
- 1:01:53Was let let me get to that cause OK, I'm gonna obliterate that,
- 1:01:55OK, because that's I mean, that's that's just easy.
- 1:01:59Yeah, I I would think it would be. #7 they're unable to set an
- 1:02:02example. Like my whole ministry is about
- 1:02:07being a husband, being a father, being a business leader.
- 1:02:11Like we couldn't do real men if I didn't have a wife.
- 1:02:16Grace couldn't do real women if she didn't have a husband.
- 1:02:19We can't do marriage stuff. We're not married.
- 1:02:21We can't do parenting stuff. We don't have kids.
- 1:02:24The things that go the best for me online are all the family
- 1:02:27system stuff. Yeah, I don't.
- 1:02:29I don't take any parenting or marriage advice from single
- 1:02:31guys. Duh.
- 1:02:33Like, I mean, that's like, and I don't take shooting lessons from
- 1:02:36blind guys, you know, like you just you just you have skills
- 1:02:39and this is not your area of expertise.
- 1:02:42I mean, so most of what in my personal experience is that's
- 1:02:46helpful for ministry is out of life, Husband, father,
- 1:02:51grandfather, father-in-law, you know, I mean, and so it puts a,
- 1:02:56it puts a priest in a, a very difficult position.
- 1:03:00Like how can you, you're not modeling it and you don't really
- 1:03:04have any practical advice #8. Men who are called to singleness
- 1:03:13could never have a family and a flock.
- 1:03:16They're like, what about Elijah? Can you imagine Elijah running
- 1:03:19from Ahab and Jezebel pushing a stroller?
- 1:03:23You know, Or with a kid in the front pack, I mean.
- 1:03:26You're not a lot like the the average person.
- 1:03:28You're not. Jesus.
- 1:03:29Well, and then they're like, what about Paul?
- 1:03:31Paul was an itinerant who got shipwrecked, beaten, homeless,
- 1:03:35stoned and left for dead and eventually was beheaded.
- 1:03:39Used to be says. So it's like, yeah.
- 1:03:42And they're like, well, Jesus was saying, well, let me say
- 1:03:44this. Jesus being equally yoked would
- 1:03:46have been rough. Furthermore, if you know that
- 1:03:49you're going to return to heaven at 30 three, you probably don't
- 1:03:52start pumping out kids at 28 'cause then you're an absentee
- 1:03:56father who's abandoned your family.
- 1:03:58So the people who are called to singleness, they're called to
- 1:04:01pain, suffering, warfare and martyrdom.
- 1:04:06They're not called to live at the church wearing slippers and
- 1:04:10a bathrobe. Yeah.
- 1:04:13That's not Elijah. For sure now.
- 1:04:16That's not Paul. That's not Jeremiah.
- 1:04:18That's not. Jesus. 99% of Christians are not
- 1:04:21Jesus, Paul or Elijah, and I think we all think we are.
- 1:04:25And especially as single guys like yeah, no, you're not you.
- 1:04:28You're called to be a husband. Not Elijah.
- 1:04:30No, no. No, you're not.
- 1:04:32You're Tony. Yeah, just get, get married,
- 1:04:35have kids. Have a family, it's great.
- 1:04:37It's the best thing in the world.
- 1:04:38God will make it very clear. #9 I still, I'm still rolling.
- 1:04:42All right. Part of what matures in
- 1:04:44Disciples of Man is being a husband, father, and
- 1:04:46grandfather. There are certain things that
- 1:04:48you just can't learn as a man till you got a wife and you
- 1:04:52realize I'm very selfish and responsibility.
- 1:04:55Now I got to feed my family. Then you become a father and
- 1:04:57you're like, oh, now I understand God the Father.
- 1:05:01So much of what disciples and matures a man is wife, kids,
- 1:05:06grandkids, business, life. In addition #10 popes were not
- 1:05:16always celibate. And so this is, this was sort of
- 1:05:22a hot and cold issue through the history of the church until like
- 1:05:26the 11th and 12th century. And then it became a more
- 1:05:29hardened and fast rule like Pope Adrian.
- 1:05:35He married a woman named Stefania and fathered a daughter
- 1:05:39and they moved with him into the Lateran Palace around his
- 1:05:43election at age 75 S In the history of the church, you've
- 1:05:46got married popes. And So what we're dealing with
- 1:05:51here is tradition, not doctrine. And then what you'll see as well
- 1:05:57is there was there was even a Pope Benedict the 9th and in
- 1:06:0111:45, he reportedly resigned the papacy so he could marry.
- 1:06:05And the question is, if a guy's loving and serving Jesus and
- 1:06:08he's qualified to do the job, and what disqualifies him is he
- 1:06:11wants to marry a woman he loves, how does that disqualify a man
- 1:06:14from serving Jesus? It actually meets the
- 1:06:18qualifications so. It acts first time of the three
- 1:06:20Titus 1 is like, finally you meet the qualifications.
- 1:06:24If you didn't meet them, now you do.
- 1:06:25So we fire you because we have an upside down process.
- 1:06:29And then and so then now the the the the last point I'll make 2
- 1:06:36points 1. So today if you are a pastor in
- 1:06:41some Christian Protestant denominations and you convert to
- 1:06:44Catholicism, you can be a priest.
- 1:06:49So there are married priests. You can't just start Catholic.
- 1:06:51You can start like Lutheran or Anglican and then become
- 1:06:55Catholic and be a priest with the wife and kids.
- 1:06:59Oh, interesting. So it's like it's forbidden
- 1:07:02unless and it's like, well, if these guys who can be married
- 1:07:08with kids, why can't these guys be married with kids?
- 1:07:11Because these guys came in from the right door and these guys
- 1:07:14came in from the left door. Well, they both ended up in the
- 1:07:16same living room. Why?
- 1:07:17Why is 1 not allowed and why is 1 allowed?
- 1:07:20I don't understand. And then lastly here, here's
- 1:07:23here's my appeal to Catholics. This is I think .11.
- 1:07:28Some great men of God are kept from serving the church and its
- 1:07:33people. And so, like when I was up in
- 1:07:38the People's Republic of Seattle, there was a young
- 1:07:40Catholic priest that became a friend of mine.
- 1:07:42I've not talked to him in years. We would get together often.
- 1:07:44He would attend my evening services.
- 1:07:46He loved Jesus. He was a great guy.
- 1:07:50And I asked him, I was like, how do you do it being single?
- 1:07:52He's like, honestly, he's like, it is rough.
- 1:07:56He said I, I'm a heterosexual man.
- 1:07:58I'm attracted to women. I really want to be married.
- 1:08:00I really want to have kids, he said.
- 1:08:03But I love Jesus and I feel called to the church, to the
- 1:08:05Catholic Church. And I'm like this poor guy, he,
- 1:08:11he is being, he is being forced by the church to do something
- 1:08:16that God isn't asking of him. And he was willing to sacrifice.
- 1:08:21He's like, I, I will be celibate for my whole life.
- 1:08:24He was a good man, but how many guys aren't going to go into
- 1:08:28that job because they're like, I can't do that job.
- 1:08:31I can't be celibate for the rest of my life.
- 1:08:33And I'm not foregoing. And I'll be honest now, like now
- 1:08:36that I have grandkids, if you, if you could say you can be in
- 1:08:41ministry or have your grandkids, easy, I'm out.
- 1:08:45Like I, I'm going to have kids and grandkids like, oh, family,
- 1:08:49that's what matters. And so it's keeping from the
- 1:08:53Catholic Church some really great men who could strengthen
- 1:08:57it. There's a shortage of priests.
- 1:09:00And there is a flooding of young men who are coming into the
- 1:09:05church, the Catholic Church. And they're they're asking, how
- 1:09:09do you be a husband? How do you be a father?
- 1:09:11How do you do business? How do you do family?
- 1:09:14You know, how do you be a man? And now we're saying it is.
- 1:09:20We cannot give them a man who's doing those things to be their
- 1:09:25leader. And to me, this is where I love
- 1:09:28the Catholics. We're pro-life, we love Jesus,
- 1:09:31we'll be in heaven together. We're on the same team.
- 1:09:34My frustration is I want the church to do better for you, and
- 1:09:39I want the best men to be leading.
- 1:09:42And I want there to be great examples for the values that the
- 1:09:46Catholic Church has. The Catholic Church considers
- 1:09:49marriage a sacrament. Great.
- 1:09:51They're pro-life. Fantastic.
- 1:09:53Let's put guys then who are in the sacrament and have children
- 1:09:57teaching and leading that church.
- 1:09:59And so for my Catholic friends, I, I know every once in a while
- 1:10:02I take a few shots. It's, it's, it's within the
- 1:10:05family. It's like brothers jostling.
- 1:10:07We're in the same family. I just wish that the Church
- 1:10:10would give you the best possible men and as many as possible to
- 1:10:16strengthen your parishes so that the Catholic Church was as
- 1:10:20strong as it could be and the people were as well loved and
- 1:10:24served as possible. It's really good.
- 1:10:27That's really good. Totally agree.
- 1:10:29Yeah, it is a wild concept to not have men who are getting
- 1:10:32married and building a legacy, leading men who are supposed to
- 1:10:36build a family and leave a legacy.
- 1:10:38I guess it's a, it's a. It's a pretty wild concept.
- 1:10:41What do you think about? So like I, we planted a church
- 1:10:44together as a family. I lead the men's, Grace leads
- 1:10:47the women's. For a season.
- 1:10:49You ran the kids ministry. My son Zach is still running the
- 1:10:53student ministry. Our family is all serving Jesus
- 1:10:57together, helping build and strengthen families.
- 1:11:00We used to call this the priesthood.
- 1:11:02This was the literally the priesthood.
- 1:11:04The, the, I forgot about this. This should be .12.
- 1:11:08So they're, they're called priests.
- 1:11:10The Levites were the first priests.
- 1:11:13They had to be married men. And so even if you just take the
- 1:11:19word priest in the Bible and say, well, OK, Old Testament,
- 1:11:22who's a priest? Married man.
- 1:11:25Who's married? That's wild.
- 1:11:29I feel like I should end this with one last question.
- 1:11:32Can there be gay pastors? They would need to be celibate.
- 1:11:36But if you are gay and a pastor, I think you are putting yourself
- 1:11:39in incredible danger, temptation, spiritual warfare.
- 1:11:46And personally, if there was a man who was gay and celibate, I
- 1:11:52would never hire him for sure. Now he may not be disqualified,
- 1:11:57but he's disqualified to be on a team I'm leading.
- 1:12:01For sure. For sure.
- 1:12:04Agreed. Yeah, I, I did not to beat this
- 1:12:07dead horse, but apparently Emmanuel Nashville knew in 2024
- 1:12:11that he had this inappropriate relationship and they just said
- 1:12:13it was. It was unwise, but not
- 1:12:16disqualifying. Two dudes without their
- 1:12:19underwear on is beyond unwise. Yeah, it's very disqualifying.
- 1:12:23So we'll we'll leave it right there.
- 1:12:24And for all those who are watching, thank you for tuning
- 1:12:28in today. And if you text gift to 99383,
