- 0:00Bag alert bag alert bag alert bag alert folks. That's right. I was gonna put out an episode yesterday
- 0:09But I decided to redo it because there's a lot of things we have to over as well as I was finally able to watch the Eagles
- 0:18And Patriots game so you might as well want to just you know, tweak, you know, just just tweak a few things, you know
- 0:23So Jok, you know gets paid Matthew Jude on gets trade to the Falcons
- 0:29Justin Simmons signs with the Falcons, right? Okay, Jordan Phillips gets trade to the Cowboys Carl Lawson signs with the Cowboys
- 0:37Matt Milano tore his bicep and we have to talk about the Eagles and Patriots game last night all of this and more
- 0:45Okay on the 24th episode of the greatest football podcast you could possibly listen to on a day-to-day basis
- 0:54I am your host your bag world domus your chief bag meteorologist
- 1:01Okay, your GM who still is not on the team right now, but has assisted GM interviews lined up going into the weekend
- 1:10And yes, we are still in New York. I'm still eating a chopped cheese the Occhi way
- 1:16You already know what I'm getting ready say. It's K. Let's lock in
- 1:46All right folks, so let's just get into the news. Okay, so Jok Jeremiah
- 1:59I don't even know how to pronounce his his last name, but everybody just called I well
- 2:05I called him Jock some people call him Jok
- 2:08but
- 2:09Limebacker for the Browns inked a three-year thirty nine million dollar extension with him. He gets 25 million in guarantees
- 2:17And he's making 13 million a year now when you look at his stats
- 2:21Last season was his best season so far two picks six past deflections
- 2:26One force fumble three three and a half sacks and five quarter back kids now when you're looking at those stats
- 2:32You're probably thinking those are you know, those are okay. Those are good
- 2:35Those aren't you know, the best stats for those are really good stats. They are
- 2:39Because Jock is basically a Swiss army knife for the linebacker positions
- 2:45Especially for that Browns defense the way that they use him in various situations
- 2:50sort of enhances
- 2:53his skill set because
- 2:55And and I only remember this because I was a big Jock fan when he was when he was coming out of Notre Dame
- 3:01The way that Notre Dame use them is sort of like the same way that the Browns use them, right?
- 3:05so there'll be times where where you know, they'll they'll use him as you know, they'll use him on the edge
- 3:12There's times where they'll use him, you know in coverage against a tight end. They just they just move him everywhere, right?
- 3:19He's always on the field. He's always doing something, right?
- 3:22And you know, there are times where he'll make a big play or he'll you know, force an
- 3:27Incompletion or force fumble or whatever the case may be so jok
- 3:33Definitely is has become a problem, right?
- 3:37a good problem when you really look at it because you're talking about somebody who has the
- 3:43Athleticism has the speed has the height and you know everything else to be able to match up against a tight end if he needs to
- 3:50To you know rush the passion, you know if he needs to and do whatever else if he needs to right and
- 3:58Oftentimes, you know, it's rare to have
- 4:02Someone like him like his skill set to be able, you know to have that flexibility to be able to
- 4:09Play, you know both outside and inside linebacker and do it at a pretty good, you know at a pretty good level
- 4:16That's rare. That's very rare. So for him to be able to do it, you know, that's really good
- 4:23You know, the the Browns lately have been prioritizing, you know keeping their own players and resigning them to you know, pretty decent contracts
- 4:32You know, it nothing really crazy
- 4:35To really talk about with this deal. Honestly, I think it's a great deal for both parties
- 4:41It's not necessarily something that's you know earth shattering or anything that's gonna cause any problems in the future
- 4:48I think this is a really good deal
- 4:50You know not necessarily a long drawn-out deal, but it's good and you know by the time this contract ends
- 4:57He'll be able to re-up and get another contract. So, you know
- 5:02Congratulations to jock now. Let's get into
- 5:05Matthew Jude on getting traded right because that also tags along with somebody else
- 5:10I'm joining the Falcons as well. So Jude on former former New England Patriots
- 5:15Got traded to the Falcons, right?
- 5:18So the Falcons of course received Jude on and the Patriots receive a 2025 third round pick now when you look at this
- 5:24This is a really good situation, right?
- 5:28Because Jude on goes into a better situation than what he was in, right?
- 5:33While at the same time the Patriots
- 5:35Begin that process of stacking up a lot of picks because that's what they need at this point because
- 5:42They're going through a rebuild. They're going through a complete rebuild a complete change, right?
- 5:48The old you know that old era and whatnot is gone. Bill is gone Brady Julia Edelman
- 5:55Now Matthew Slater the McCordy brothers
- 5:57Um, Gronk all those guys they're gone, right? And so, you know, you're now in that phase where you need to you need as many
- 6:06draft picks as you possibly can get right and so, you know
- 6:12You just make this type of move especially with you know, Jude on being disgruntled with you know
- 6:17With the contract offers that the Patriots have basically given him. So he's just like bumping
- 6:23I just want to be putting the better situation now. I will say this according to Jeremy Fowler and other sources
- 6:30a lot of people were reporting that
- 6:33The Bears were also in the mix to get Jude on as well
- 6:36So it definitely shows you that there was a market for Matthew Jude on
- 6:42Regardless of what anyone may say
- 6:45But I will say this it does put it does put a lot of
- 6:50I
- 6:53Wouldn't say that this is what I'll say the Falcons now have a have a premier patch rusher
- 7:02You know that that's been needed for a pretty long time
- 7:05You're talking about somebody who has been consistent who's gotten double digit sacks
- 7:10Who's you know made big plays when we need to that's that that's who Jude on it, right?
- 7:15And they haven't had someone like that in a long time, but now that you have that right now
- 7:21That you're able to like really put that defense together because I truly believe that Raheem Morris is definitely
- 7:29That next generation of like, you know, really great
- 7:33Defensive-minded coaches I do I think it's between him and Demico Ryan's and whoever else that that may be you know
- 7:40They may be coming next that is definitely going to like really do something when it comes to you know defense and
- 7:48You know, they already have
- 7:52Who is it they got AJ Turrell, I still I think they still have Jesse Bates as well
- 7:57Then you also have Grady Jared as well. So it's like they have pieces
- 8:03They have pieces not to mention with them
- 8:06Also adding Justin Simmons. Yeah, we have to talk about it now. We definitely have to talk about okay
- 8:12Justin Simmons former all-pro safety for the Broncos
- 8:16Inked a one-year eight million dollar deal with the Falcon
- 8:20So you have him on top of Jesse Bates on top of
- 8:24Grady Jared on top of all the other free agent acquisitions that they made so far in this one offseason alone
- 8:31They are going to make some noise. They are going to be a problem. Okay
- 8:35That right there is the best team in their division. Okay, when anyone says that is the best team in their division
- 8:44You have a quarterback who he's not going to wow you with stats and numbers
- 8:48But he is going to do the best he's going to make the best play possible in order to win the game
- 8:55That's what that's what her cousins is. All right, and you know, you're there
- 8:59People like Kyle Drake London and B. John Robinson. They are now going to have a stable quarterback
- 9:06For the first time in their career in their professional career. They're gonna have a stable quarterback
- 9:12They're gonna have a quarterback who is going to be as consistent as he possibly can and is going to directly
- 9:18Feed them the ball right at a very high clip. Okay, so
- 9:24You know my expectations for that offense is they're gonna put up some numbers
- 9:29This is probably gonna be the best season for Drake London and Kyle Pitts and probably for B. John Robinson as well
- 9:37Because they're really good offensive lines as well
- 9:40So, you know, they have a lot of pieces in the place now what I say that they are
- 9:45You know a Super Bowl team or a playoff caliber team, you know
- 9:48But I could I could probably see them sneaking into the wild card. I could
- 9:54Because because when you look at it for one the division is weak
- 9:59The only team that you probably would have to worry about in that division. It's probably the Buccaneers
- 10:06About the Saints because the Saints are in some ways
- 10:10Trying to go through a rebuild as well. They're they're not saying it but that's probably their best course of
- 10:15of action at this point
- 10:18and then the Panthers the Panthers are are too young
- 10:24inexperienced and
- 10:26They just don't
- 10:28They just don't have it now now. That's now. That's not saying that you know that they won't you know in the future
- 10:35But you have a you still have a quarterback that's still trying to you know get his feet wet with you know within
- 10:41You know within his career the defense isn't intact and I and I'm gonna put this out there
- 10:49You know as as back road diamonds
- 10:52I have to put on my my predictions when you know when they come to mind. I do believe
- 10:57You know teams like the Panthers will become
- 11:00Sellers I do believe that I truly do because when you have pieces like JC whore
- 11:06Who they're probably not gonna pay and you know other players on that team that they're probably not going to pay?
- 11:13trade them trade them get some picks for it and then try to flip those picks so you could try to do something with it because again
- 11:21There there's been a lot of turnover with the Panthers
- 11:25Lately you got Bryce young. Okay, cool. You get um
- 11:30Deontay Johnson. Okay, cool
- 11:32You know, they they they tried to prioritize a little bit more with the offense. Okay, cool
- 11:39But there's still a lot of holes on that team that need to be filled
- 11:44It is there's still there's still a lot of problems on that team
- 11:48that really needs to be addressed that not a lot of people are talking about and
- 11:53You know, this isn't over. This isn't an overnight thing. This isn't a you know
- 11:57It's it's gonna take two two seasons and we'll be back on our feet. This is going to be a long and drawn out process
- 12:04but
- 12:05Things could be shortened just a little bit if they hit on their picks if they hit on free agency if
- 12:12They you know actually start to develop a level of chemistry and consistency
- 12:17Not only on the field but also in the front office as well because whether we want to a minute or not
- 12:24The play on the field is just as important as what the front office moves are making if the front office moves are
- 12:33somewhat, you know
- 12:35Not necessarily the best moves, but they're very
- 12:39Weird and unexpected and whatnot that can that can mess up whatever chemistry that that is on the field and
- 12:47You know, we've seen that we've seen that sometimes, you know
- 12:50The Panthers since that, you know that crazy year when they went to the Super Bowl
- 12:55It's just been like a nose dive, right? You had Christian McCaffrey, you know
- 13:00Christian McCaffrey was doing his thing then he went through a period where he couldn't stay healthy. Okay, cool
- 13:05You you move off of Christian McCaffrey and then you're still trying to find yourself still trying to find yourself
- 13:12You get Matt rule you make him the head coach that ends horribly then you get Baker Mayfield that ends horribly
- 13:19Then you trade all the way up to get the first, you know
- 13:22The first pick in the draft to get Bryce young but that was only because the owner wanted Bryce young and Frank right
- 13:29You know wanted somebody different and whatnot. So it's just a it's just been a never-ending
- 13:35World-wind of just mess. So maybe this is probably the the point where they're probably gonna be like, okay
- 13:43We're gonna do things different. We're gonna do things the right way. So, you know, we'll just you know
- 13:48Wait and see but you know back back to the Falcons the Falcons have a very potent defense
- 13:54They do they have a very potent defense. They have a defense that's gonna make plays that's gonna create pressure
- 14:00That's gonna be able to make
- 14:02You know big time big time plays while at the same time impose their will on the offense
- 14:10They can do that with that defense and especially you have someone like a Raheem Morris
- 14:14Oh, it's gonna be problems gonna be big big big problems now moving on to the Cowboys because yes
- 14:23We do have to talk about the Cowboys. So
- 14:26Jordan Phillips, I think he was what was he the Giants? Yep former Giants defensive tackle was traded
- 14:34Okay to the Cowboys and so the Cowboys get a seventh round
- 14:38Seventh round pick for 2026 and the Giants receive a sixth round pick for 2026 now when you look at this
- 14:45This is more of a deaf
- 14:48Peace more than anything. It's not necessarily something that's going to be earth-shattering or anything of that nature
- 14:56This is more to fill in the void
- 14:59That is on that defensive line because that defensive line has been banged up lately in training camp and
- 15:05And so, you know, they need to they they need more bodies at this point not only for training camp for but but possibly for
- 15:15You know the the regular season, right?
- 15:17And so you have that mixed with you know a lot of uncertainty on on the team on both sides of the ball like
- 15:26There's a lot going on with with this with this Cowboys team. It really is not to mention
- 15:30They also got Carl Lawson as well now. I have been trying to do a little bit of digging on what exactly the structure of his deal
- 15:38Is haven't been able to find it but once I do find it, of course, I will let you guys know
- 15:43but
- 15:44You know, these are two these are two moves to to try to beef up that defensive line is as best as possible because
- 15:51Let's be real here folks. This is a make-it-or-break it a year for the Cowboys
- 15:56It is it's a make-it-or-break a year for, you know, Mike McCarthy and you know, a lot of a
- 16:04lot of people a lot of personnel because
- 16:07Jerry has a choice Jerry has to make a choice. Okay, and that matter of fact, that's gonna be the time for this podcast make a choice
- 16:14by um
- 16:15Best podcast in the world just did that
- 16:19Jerry has a decision that he has to make right
- 16:22Either he does something different and he lets go of his ego a little bit or
- 16:30He continues to go down the same path that he goes and he you know does not get anywhere far
- 16:37That's the decision that he has to make at this point because look the Eagles are still gonna be competitive
- 16:44regardless of what we say or do okay, they're still gonna be competitive and
- 16:48You have to figure out what you're going to do you do the the
- 16:54Commanders are somewhat going through a little bit of a turnover
- 16:58But they have upside with theirs right that roster is it's a mixture of
- 17:03You know old and young players, but there's more young players than old players, right?
- 17:08The Giants are super dysfunctional so you really don't have to worry about the Giants
- 17:13The only team you have to worry about is the commanders and the Eagles
- 17:16That's it and we cannot say that you know the Cowboys have been devoided of
- 17:23You know talent and whatnot. That's not a lie because why every you know five five to six years
- 17:30Jerry Jones builds what a top five or top three offensive line. He always does that always
- 17:36There's always talent on a Cowboys roster, but what we cannot do is
- 17:41Is sit here and continue to try to go through the same thing year after year
- 17:47Which is you know Jerry basically has his hand in the decision-making for the head coach
- 17:53You just can't at this point. You need to make the best decision possible for the team
- 18:00Not for your ego, but for the team and who could that be the best option?
- 18:05Maybe my my variable, you know next next year or someone like a Bill Belichick
- 18:12because at this point
- 18:14You need somebody that can rule that team with an iron fist that has
- 18:21the the attitude and the mindset to be able to to deal with the antics that comes with
- 18:29The Cowboys, that's what you really need. You need someone like a Bill Belichick
- 18:33Regardless of all the things that happen in New England and trust me there is a bunch of stuff that happened in New England
- 18:39The X's and O's Bill still has the bill still has that down intact
- 18:45Okay, where anyone says the bill is still a dangerous head coach when you give him
- 18:52Adequate weapons when you give him some pieces if you had if the Patriots had a Michael Parsons on that defense
- 18:59Mixed with a Trevon digs and a Duran blend. I guarantee you that defense would be top 10
- 19:07Guarantee it because bill has shown that he can take players
- 19:12Players that nobody knows about players that are you know, fifth six seven four or undrafted, right?
- 19:18And will turn them into premier all-pro players. He has done it
- 19:24He has done it. And so if you get someone like a Bill Belichick, but you tell him, hey Bill
- 19:32You handle the coaching will handle the front office stuff. Okay, cool
- 19:38Compared to you know running with Mike McCarthy and thinking that you know things are going to change things are not going to change
- 19:45They're not they haven't changed if they weren't going to change last year or the year before that
- 19:50What do you think they're going to do this year and
- 19:52And this year there's more on the line than what it was the last two years because why?
- 19:58That could potentially be a free agent after this after this season
- 20:03CD Lam is looking for a deal, but you also have to worry about Michael Parsons as well
- 20:07If you let Michael Parsons walk that is a problem
- 20:12That is a big problem because there will be at least 50
- 20:16With their checkbooks in their hand waiting to give him a deal waiting to reset the market for a Michael Parsons
- 20:24That's what it boils down to folks
- 20:26I really want you guys to think about this Michael Parsons has a lot of upside to his game
- 20:31And I'm telling you if he gets into the hands of someone like a Bill Belichick. Oh
- 20:37My god, you have a problem on your hands now
- 20:41I wouldn't be surprised if Michael Parsons was to stay in the division and maybe go to Washington in order to follow
- 20:48Dan Quinn I wouldn't be surprised if he did that. I wouldn't so you there's there's a lot of moving pieces
- 20:57You know with this Cowboys team that they have to figure out and this isn't going to be just an overnight thing
- 21:04No, that's why you really didn't see them be as active in free agency
- 21:09Because why they were trying to figure out how they're going to you know
- 21:14Turn you know turn mud into into gold basically
- 21:18Because you got to pay DAX 60 million
- 21:21You got to pay CD lamb 30 plus million and you're gonna have to probably reset the market for Michael Parsons
- 21:27So that's three players that you're gonna have to reset the market for and you know Jerry Jones does not like to do it
- 21:34But he will pay his own players. He may not like it, but he knows he has to do it
- 21:39But at the same time the Cowboys put themselves in this situation because why?
- 21:45You knew that once Justin Jefferson
- 21:49I came to speak once Justin Jefferson was going to play
- 21:53You know that last year and basically take a bet on himself
- 21:57You knew you should have you should have started contract negotiations then because you knew that
- 22:02That is that if it was to go the way that it did guess what Justin Jefferson was going to reset the market no questions asked
- 22:10No questions asked. He was going to reset the market
- 22:13So you should have had those talks prior to that because why you would be in a situation where you're comfortable
- 22:20We don't have to put out as much money as you do now now. You have to put out almost
- 22:2735
- 22:2835 36 million dollars
- 22:30See lame has already said he wants to reset the market. He's already said that same thing with Michael Parsons
- 22:35And I think that gets it as well. You have a lot of tough decisions that you have to make Jerry
- 22:41it sucks, but
- 22:43This is what happens when you get superstars. You got to pay them superstar money
- 22:48You may not like it, but that's what you have to do Jerry
- 22:51Lano linebacker for the Buffalo Bills has a fun has unfortunately tore his bicep
- 22:58There is no timetable of when exactly he will return
- 23:03But there is a possibility that he can return
- 23:05Later into the season that when we look at this, you know
- 23:10This definitely puts a lot of pressure on the bills to figure out exactly what do they want to do now?
- 23:16Because the bills have lost a lot of their key players
- 23:20In this offseason, right?
- 23:22They had to let go of Trey white because Andrew started a pile up and you know his before his
- 23:29Just everything about to you know decline as well as you know, he was carrying a large cap hit
- 23:35They they had to let go of both of their safeties Trey Edmonds, you know, he he hit free agency
- 23:41I think a year before and whatnot. They overpaid for Von Miller. Yes, I'm saying it
- 23:48They overpaid for Von Miller. They never should have paid Von Miller
- 23:51Um that much money and so now you're trying to figure out exactly how you're going to pings together, right?
- 23:57Now you have to rely on your rookies to step up more to fill in the void that was that's now left
- 24:05With this Matt Milano situation and granny
- 24:09I understand that the bills are still a very, you know competitive team and they're still a dangerous team
- 24:14I get all of that
- 24:15But now this puts more pressure on Josh Allen and that offense to do more and now I
- 24:23Would not be surprised if the bills rely more on their run game to sort of not only chew on the clock
- 24:29But to wear down on defenses and to give their defense a little bit more breathing room instead of trying to you know
- 24:35Throw the ball 30 40 50 60 times if I can make a prediction
- 24:40I would not be surprised if the bill starts start snooping around and trying to see if they can maybe
- 24:47Snatch up one of these middle linebackers that make it cut
- 24:51Or maybe try to see if they can facilitate a trade for a middle linebacker because at this point
- 24:57You know, they have a lot of glaring holes on that team
- 25:01both, you know in the secondary on the line and in the middle and
- 25:06You know, this isn't something that you know is gonna
- 25:09You know that that can be patched up with just one person and whatnot like no they they're gonna have to be buyers
- 25:15They're gonna have to be buyers as well that and you know what I might have to do an episode for that for you know
- 25:20Probably during the season buyers and sellers
- 25:23You know during the trade deadline, which actually, you know, that's a great idea. See see see this is exactly why this is the best
- 25:31Football podcast because why we come up with ideas while we're recording the episode man. Come on
- 25:36Um, but let's be real here folks, you know, the the bills definitely
- 25:43They've they've they're starting to decline a little bit. They are their window to me is is closing rapidly
- 25:52Right that one year where they went up against the Chiefs and the AFC championship and they lost over time, you know
- 25:58Due to Tyree kills punt return
- 26:01That was the year that they should have went to the Super Bowl
- 26:04Because that was when
- 26:06Josh Allen was playing at his best, but offense was dangerous as well as the defense, right now
- 26:13It's it's just somewhat gone down in a nose dive in granted. I understand, you know, they drafted Keon Coleman
- 26:19They got Curtis Samuel and they got Mack Hollins and you know all those different type of people get all of that and more
- 26:25But the fact of the matter is, you know
- 26:28You they they are, you know, they're
- 26:32They're not there. They're just not they're not there. They are not there. They are be a little bit more aggressive
- 26:41And trying to you know, fill in those voids
- 26:44They're gonna have to if they really want to be able to make a deep playoff run
- 26:49They're gonna have to not only they're gonna have to win their division
- 26:53But they're gonna have to come out gun swinging during the season
- 26:56They have to they have to a streak because if they don't if they start out slow, it's gonna mess
- 27:03It's gonna put more pressure on them to show up during the later part of the season, which you don't want
- 27:10You want to come out guns blazing and and sort of you know, not necessarily just chill
- 27:17But somewhat, you know, like ease up just a little bit just so everybody can you know remain help? That's my question
- 27:25Be he he has a lot of figuring out to do. Okay. You okay, granny. You you got let go of I'm not I can't speak
- 27:32They let go of Stefan Diggs. Okay, cool. Now you got this problem
- 27:36So what exactly are you going to do to address this problem? Now? Let's talk about this Eagles and in
- 27:42Patriots game. I did like some of the quarterback play it. It was actually pretty good
- 27:49You know Drake may definitely show showed a little bit, but you know, I
- 27:53I just I
- 27:56Know I don't know if I want to see more of him, but I think
- 28:01Well, yeah, I do I do want to see more of him. I want to see more reps
- 28:06I want to see him play at least I want to be able to see okay
- 28:10Can he do this? Can he do that? Can he roll out of the pocket? Can he make the the necessary throw?
- 28:16Can he execute the play? Can he read the defenses and whatnot? That's what I want to see because as of right now
- 28:22You know, it is Jacobi Brasette's job to lose right and you know, I understand that they definitely
- 28:30Invested a lot of resources into getting Drake may I get all of that and respect that however
- 28:36I
- 28:38Just I'm I'm I'm just not comfortable with with this pick. I'm not I feel like the Patriots
- 28:45Probably could have well should have went after Jaden Daniels honestly speaking
- 28:49I think if they would have went after a Jaden Daniels
- 28:53I think it definitely would have taken that offense to the next level compared to a Drake may who I just I
- 29:02Just I don't know maybe maybe I got a look at more Tade which I probably will but I just don't see it with Drake may
- 29:09I don't know what it is. I just don't see it
- 29:13And as far as you know
- 29:15With with their receiver or them. I want to see, you know, they're they're out running expand more
- 29:21I just want to see more
- 29:22And you know, there's a lot of upside with this as long as they continue to maintain this course
- 29:28You know, they'll be in the right situation. However, if they stray away from it
- 29:33You are going to see the worst of it and it's not gonna be good honestly speaking
- 29:39Now when we look at the the Eagles the Eagles, you know
- 29:43I
- 29:46I'm gonna have to say it
- 29:48Eagles fans you're gonna agree with me you cannot agree with me
- 29:51But I feel like Tana McKee is a little bit better than Kenny Pickett. I'm just saying just saying folks
- 29:56Just saying just just looking at it because Tana McKee
- 30:01Looks like he is, you know, he can be a number two quarterback. That's what he looks like
- 30:08Kenny Pickett look like he still has regressed. I'm sorry call it what it is, but it's not looking good
- 30:15It's not looking good at all for Kenny Pickett. I don't know if it's his mechanics
- 30:21I don't know what it is, but it's just not good. Okay, you're talking about someone that was
- 30:2811 for 13
- 30:3067 yards he averaged 5.2 yards a play his longest play was 19 yards and he had no touchdowns
- 30:37And he was sacked four times
- 30:39that that's what that that's what Kenny Pickett did right and
- 30:43You know to me that's just not good enough
- 30:47It's not you were a former first-round pick and you know, you are being basically beaten out by
- 30:55Tana McKee right Tana McKee on the other hand was 15 for 19
- 31:00He had a 79 point. He had a 79 percent
- 31:04completion percentage right a
- 31:06hundred and forty yards, right
- 31:09Now granny he didn't he didn't have a touchdown as well, but he averaged
- 31:147.4 yards a play
- 31:17like I'm sorry like I
- 31:19I just
- 31:21You know what?
- 31:22This is the perfect time for me to say it. I told you so I
- 31:26Told you so every single person that said, you know, Kenny Pickett is this can you pick is that I told you so
- 31:32I told you that Kenny Pickett was not worth a first-round pick. I told you that he had a lot of mechanics a lot of
- 31:39Mechanical things that he had to work on that he does not see the field well that he does not execute well
- 31:45And that he does not read defense as well
- 31:48I told people that leading up to that draft and everyone's like, oh, you don't know what you're talking about. Oh
- 31:54Well, what do you know? I'm telling you from what I've seen
- 31:58Kenny picket is not all that he's just not I'm sorry Kenny
- 32:03Kenny at best probably should have been the second or third round pick and I feel sad if you would have sat that year
- 32:10behind Mitchell Trubisky
- 32:12Maybe, you know, maybe you would have had a better
- 32:16You know a better version of him and then not to mention he also had a crappy offensive coordinator who really wasn't a real offensive coordinator
- 32:23I just I feel like I'm supposed to do that. I feel like Kenny Pickett's career so far has definitely been rocky
- 32:30And I feel like a lot of does he walked into a situation where you know, you had this veteran quarterback
- 32:37but he even the veteran quarterback hasn't had a whole lot of success, right and
- 32:43so he busts himself so
- 32:46You know, there's not there's not a whole lot of you know
- 32:49Learning that that he can that he can learn from from a bust compared to if Ben was still there and he sat under Ben
- 32:57I feel like it probably could have been a better situation
- 33:00honestly, but you know, you were you were trying to you were trying to compete with Mitchell Trubisky
- 33:06Okay, cool. You get put into you get put into
- 33:11You know, you get put into the game after the the Jets lost. Okay, cool
- 33:15and
- 33:16you know from there from there on you're just going on this roller coaster ride of
- 33:22You know, people love you. They hate you people. Love you. They hate you. They love you. They hate you. They love you
- 33:27They hate you. You're doing good. You're doing bad. You're doing good. You're doing bad. You're doing okay
- 33:31You could do more. It's just it was just a never-ending
- 33:35roller coaster ride for Kenny Pickett and you know a lot of that definitely has to fall on the Steelers shoulders
- 33:42Just because of the situation that they put him in, you know, when you give him a crappy offensive coordinator and
- 33:50You know, you just don't try to you know to work with him
- 33:55this is what happens and you know, I
- 33:59can I can feel bad for Kenny Pickett, but at the same time I can't and
- 34:04I've been pretty reserved on this simply because you know, I can't really I can't really respect somebody
- 34:12Who's straight away from competition, right? Let's just call it for what it is
- 34:16I understand this is somewhat of a tension. I've been going on tangents, you know long enough now, but at that
- 34:22This is what it is
- 34:24Kenny Pickett straight away from competition, right?
- 34:28The team didn't do this
- 34:30You know out of spite they gave you a heads up. They said hey
- 34:34We're going to bring somebody in who is going to push you and we're gonna have a real quarterback competition
- 34:41They brought in an old Russell Wilson who?
- 34:44had probably one of his one of his worst seasons so far in his entire right and
- 34:52You're thinking that you know, oh, this is gonna he's gonna take my job this than the other
- 34:57No, they gave you a heads up. You knew what was getting ready to happen well before everybody else did
- 35:04so you should have came in with the mindset that you were going to
- 35:08Actually, you know really competing one night and even if you lost it, guess what?
- 35:12You're learning from Lerly one of the best quarterbacks that you can learn from a
- 35:17Person who was going to show you show you. Hey, this is what you do in this situation
- 35:23Hey, this is what you do when you see this coverage. Hey, this is how you make this play
- 35:27This is how you make this throw. This is how you can you know better prepare yourself for these types of games and this different types of
- 35:35Environment all those different types of things
- 35:37But you took that as an offense and you wanted out and now you're in a situation where you're competing to either be the backup
- 35:46Or the third best option
- 35:48That's what it that that's what it boils down to I think in a day folks. So
- 35:52I'm gonna get off my little soapbox about getting pick it because nobody cares and everybody has their own opinion
- 35:58That's perfectly fine. Everybody's entitled to their own opinion. So
- 36:02Let's just see what happens. I could be wrong, right?
- 36:05So I'll just end it here. I know there's more games on Saturday and all the Steelers play the bills on Saturday
- 36:11so I'll probably be watching that I probably honestly I'll probably watch all the games if I can and
