- 0:00SPEAKER_01: I don't want to overly confuse things because this show so far today has been a moving uh a moving entity of here's something.
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: Oh, wait, we gotta play catch up and go back to something.
- 0:11SPEAKER_01: And then we so we're like this, we're like this a fourth and a back and a back and a fourth and a fourth and a back.
- 0:15SPEAKER_01: Remind me in a few minutes to ask you about young girls and when they stop being sloppy.
- 0:19SPEAKER_01: I'll get to that in a minute because there's a reason behind this, but I don't want to confuse where we are because we have a lot of catch up to do from like three things that just happened at once.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: Well, and on top of that, if you missed anything, you can hit up our on-demand and everything shows up on our on-demand.
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: You might have to.
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: Today's a rolling case of ADHD.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: Oh, it sure is.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: Okay, I guess we're gonna start with the trumpet.
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: Yes, okay, this is this guy, yeah.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: You had uh, well, you had said, why did this trumpet not work?
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: What happened was we're at a diamondbacks game and the national anthem is about to play.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: Everyone stands up, the guy is playing a trumpet, and it stops working.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: And then he just says, Ah, well, we'll pivot, picks up the mic, and starts singing the rest of it.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: Actually, uh let me just give you a little quick Okay, you get that part.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, okay.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: Still was fine.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: Voice of an angel.
- 1:13SPEAKER_01: I mean, it just kept going.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: He was amazing.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: So you had said, how does the trumpet stop working?
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: Like, what happens?
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: Well, we have an answer.
- 1:20SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: There is a spit valve on every trumpet that he would have been able to release extra spit with.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: I guarantee that this is one of those trumpets like a lot of people used to play taps at veterans' funerals.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: Oh, like a bugle.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: Where you press a button and the song is automatically played through a speaker and the bell of the trumpet, he likely was not playing it himself.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: Oh, oh, that's interesting.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: I thought the spit valve he was like this.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: Oh, yuck! I hate that noise.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: This is from Andrew.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: Initially, when I saw the video of the trumpet player, I thought his second valve got stuck.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: Oh, I hate when the second valve gets stuck.
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: But I think Allie's never does.
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: You should smell the studio about 10 a.m.
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: That valve's wide open.
- 2:04SPEAKER_01: Sorry.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: No, you're not.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: No, you're not.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: You're right.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: But I think the internal by the way, I have a TikTok to go with that later that we're gonna do.
- 2:13SPEAKER_01: Oh, great.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: But I think the internal part, the piston, of the valve malfunctioned.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: He's been a professional trumpet player for a while, even played with the Tower of Power for a while.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: Yes, I love the Tower of Power.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: I don't know what the Tower of Power is, but it sounds amazing.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: Oh, if you're such a pro, shouldn't you have had a second one on standby right next to you?
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: You know?
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: Is that something that you think about?
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: I think when like the Foo Fighters are on stage and they have those guitars on the side.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, right.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: Well, like one goes down.
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: Look, that's I'm totally joking.
- 2:42SPEAKER_01: This guy did such an amazing job.
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: I don't want to make fun of what you know he did.
- 2:45SPEAKER_01: Because picking up that mic and singing the way he did, and you know he was just sitting there, his heart pounding out of his chest.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, I would be so nervous.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: And the fact that he knew exactly where the lyric was.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: Like he must have been saying them in his head.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: Maybe.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: And then wow, wow.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 2:59SPEAKER_01: Okay, but you guys did help, and I appreciate that because I know nothing about instruments with wind.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: And we're going to get to the contractor thing in a second, but I also had in such brief passing mentioned, are we ever gonna bring back thongs hanging on over top of your low rise jeans?
- 3:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah, right, yeah.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: And Kelsey put, we went to a rod wave concert.
- 3:22SPEAKER_01: Rod wave?
- 3:22SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: In Philly on 912.
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: A-rod.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: An A-rod wave concert?
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: Is A-rod gonna be there?
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: All the questions.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: And the amount of women who had thongs hanging out or wearing mini skirts that didn't cover anything at all was mind-blowing.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: I'm 33 and I could never but to you confident girlies out there.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: Oh, that was the emoji.
- 3:43SPEAKER_01: Ah, very nice.
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: Okay, I guess maybe in certain locations.
- 3:47SPEAKER_01: Duh butt.
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: No, in certain locations.
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like that.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: Oh, heck yeah.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: When I was going to Nelly, I was like, what slutty thing can I wear?
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: No, I'm kidding.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: Well, I did wear a crop top.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: Um, okay, then we were talking about the contractor thing.
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: This was on my next door app, and I don't even know who this person is, but I hate this.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: Basically, they gave the contractor$5,500 as a down payment to buy raw materials, and that was on August 4th.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: Oh, it's September 21st.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: And no sign of the contract.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah, brother has not done their job.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: So here was one of the answers.
- 4:21SPEAKER_00: This is from Chris.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: Always pay down payment with a check and clearly write in the memo field what it's for.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: Always a paper trail.
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: Oh, and definitely get a receipt.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: That way you got the paper trail to lawyer up, as Scott puts it.
- 4:34SPEAKER_01: These are all great suggestions now, but a lot of times, and for some reason, contractors are really good at it.
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: Well, first of all, I know the trap.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: What happens is every contractor is gonna say, Oh my god, I'm so busy.
- 4:46SPEAKER_01: I can't get anybody to come work for me because nobody wants to work, and I'm so busy, and I got 12 bathrooms to do in six weeks.
- 4:53SPEAKER_01: And I'm sure that's true.
- 4:55SPEAKER_01: Some of that is true, but then sometimes they're good like that, but they're also real slick and schmoozy, and they're really like But don't take my money until you're ready to do my job then.
- 5:04SPEAKER_01: You become like, well, yeah, but you're you're talking to a person that's not thinking, you know, in the most up and up way.
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: They're like, well, you know what?
- 5:12SPEAKER_01: I need some money to finish that job, so I'll take$5,500 from this job, put it towards that job, and then maybe I'll get another job booked and I can start it towards Allie's job, and then you see how this all this can be a bad snowball.
- 5:24SPEAKER_01: Now, I'm not saying 100% that's the way that it is, and I appreciate the fact that you're right, always use a check, always have some sort of of contract with the person.
- 5:34SPEAKER_01: This doesn't sound like it was there.
- 5:36SPEAKER_01: No, these weren't in place.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: No, and that's where I'm wondering, just on this next door thing, how how can we give them a solution that would help?
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: Because I did read in the comments below the 5,500 was too much for small claims court.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: What can they do to get their money back?
- 5:52SPEAKER_01: I my only suggestion was at this point, can you go to the police department either?
- 5:57SPEAKER_01: I think it might actually be more of a sheriff's department.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: I don't know, but somebody else has had to have been in this situation because you hear about it all the time.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, oh, constantly.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: Because if not, you could be out that money completely.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: Oh$5,500?
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that would be crippling.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: Like, I mean, to make in this job.
- 6:15SPEAKER_01: Less you know where the guy lives in a well placed baseball bat.
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: That's all I'm saying.
