- 0:01Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, people of the universe. I'm officially someone
- 0:07Speaker 1: that is a certified basketball bucket getter. That's right. I
- 0:12Speaker 1: had dropped her first basket. The crowd went wild. I
- 0:15Speaker 1: had tears of joy that I was holding on on
- 0:18Speaker 1: the inside, and maybe a little I was. I don't
- 0:21Speaker 1: judge me, dude, congrats on your first basket in a game. Thanks,
- 0:27Speaker 1: You're welcome. It'll describe to the peeps how it felt.
- 0:31Speaker 2: It felt really good. So I was open and my
- 0:36Speaker 2: friend passed it to me, and there was another friend
- 0:38Speaker 2: that wasn't even open, and she's going, I'm open, I'm open,
- 0:41Speaker 2: I'm open. So I'm like, clear up in line, I'm
- 0:44Speaker 2: driping and I I was right there, got the ball,
- 0:47Speaker 2: passed right around, shot and then made it.
- 0:51Speaker 1: It went up and he got followed. I think should
- 0:53Speaker 1: have been I should have would have could have been
- 0:54Speaker 1: a nine one.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Yep. But it was good.
- 0:57Speaker 1: It was good. The only thing I wish you would
- 0:59Speaker 1: have done is maybe to the left with your left hand.
- 1:01Speaker 1: But we'll work on that, won't we.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Yes, So you just wrapped up your first Fall basketball league.
- 1:10Speaker 1: What do you think? Tell the people? What do you
- 1:12Speaker 1: think you guys had like a twelve game season, and
- 1:14Speaker 1: I'm going to tell you right now, I was able
- 1:16Speaker 1: to watch you guys play quite a few games. I
- 1:18Speaker 1: got to coach against you a couple of times. You
- 1:20Speaker 1: played the best basketball that I ever saw you played
- 1:24Speaker 1: in their very last game.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Yeah, we did play really good.
- 1:28Speaker 1: M hm. So what'd you learn? Would you like?
- 1:30Speaker 2: I learned a lot of stuff. Yeah, like what Like
- 1:35Speaker 2: how if you do one dribble and then you pick
- 1:40Speaker 2: it up and then dribble again, that's a dubble dribble.
- 1:43Speaker 2: And if you're if you're shooting and you got fouled,
- 1:46Speaker 2: then that's foult shots. But if you get fouled and
- 1:49Speaker 2: you're not shooting, then that's just your team's ball.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Yeah, you shul always use your dribble to get somewhere. Right,
- 1:55Speaker 1: We do apologize ahead of time. If you do hear
- 1:57Speaker 1: some coffin, you do hear some sniffles, I listen lightly
- 2:00Speaker 1: under the weather, right yeah, yeah, Which it's okay. So
- 2:05Speaker 1: she's all bundled up, turtle in hand, blanket in hand.
- 2:08Speaker 1: It's nice and warm in the studio. I'm not sure
- 2:09Speaker 1: why you're like that, but you look comfy, aren't you?
- 2:11Speaker 1: Glad you're not on camera looking like that. I don't
- 2:15Speaker 1: care if the like hair's crazy, nails look good though. Yep,
- 2:20Speaker 1: BI the way, proud of you. You had a great
- 2:22Speaker 1: fall season. You've been putting in the work simply, you're
- 2:25Speaker 1: coming along ways, shooting, making buckets. If you could have
- 2:29Speaker 1: one favorite moment of the entire season, what do you
- 2:33Speaker 1: think that one moment, that one thing that sticks out
- 2:36Speaker 1: in your brain? You're like, this was my favorite moment.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Of the season when I made that shot.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Making a shot in the last game.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, and winning against.
- 2:45Speaker 1: You, uh, you had you had to bring that up. Yes, yeah,
- 2:50Speaker 1: you did get the better of us. You're lucky you
- 2:52Speaker 1: didn't plays against Saturday. Not just kidding either way. It
- 2:55Speaker 1: was a good time, great fun.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Yep.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Super proud of you guys. Anyway. I mean, let's be honest,
- 3:02Speaker 1: I feel like that last gave me a little pumped up.
- 3:04Speaker 1: You worked your way into a starter roll. You had
- 3:06Speaker 1: more hustle than I did walking into a taco bello
- 3:09Speaker 1: at two AM when I was in college, right, Yeah,
- 3:12Speaker 1: I thought I saw you steal a ball so fast
- 3:15Speaker 1: that the other team actually needed a wellness.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Check with you with me? Yeah, that was your team all.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Right on a scale from one to I want chicken
- 3:24Speaker 1: McNuggets right now? How excited were you that that bucket
- 3:27Speaker 1: went in on your very first basket.
- 3:29Speaker 2: One thousand out of ten. One thousand chicken nuggets out
- 3:32Speaker 2: of ten.
- 3:33Speaker 1: That's a lot of McNuggets. Let's talk about speaking of McNuggets,
- 3:36Speaker 1: let's talk about the boycott. Where are we boycott all McDonald's.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Are one specific McDonald's.
- 3:43Speaker 2: One Pacific McDonald's.
- 3:45Speaker 1: We're boycouting one McDonald's in the town of Governor. Why
- 3:50Speaker 1: are we boycotting the McDonald's. Do we have a valid reason?
- 3:53Speaker 2: Yes, we have a very valid reason.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Let's let's walk it through it.
- 3:57Speaker 2: So one day, me and my mom and my sister,
- 4:01Speaker 2: we had to get food because we were gonna get home,
- 4:03Speaker 2: like really late because we go to school really far away.
- 4:06Speaker 2: And yes, so we had to get some food. So
- 4:10Speaker 2: we went to the McDonald's. We ordered, and we took
- 4:14Speaker 2: about like an hour to get our food and we
- 4:16Speaker 2: didn't even order that much. And then the service was
- 4:20Speaker 2: being so rude to us. Mom. Even my mom said, girls,
- 4:23Speaker 2: don't be sad if we never come here again. Wait
- 4:27Speaker 2: before that, we'll rewind. So I went to get a
- 4:36Speaker 2: straw because my mom got I think it was a
- 4:39Speaker 2: pepsi or something.
- 4:40Speaker 1: So Dike Coke is the moon they at the crab Donalds.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Yeah, so she got she got that, and she goes,
- 4:50Speaker 2: excuse me, can I get some Can I get some straws?
- 4:54Speaker 2: He goes right here, like throws them up in the air,
- 4:58Speaker 2: like froze them in the bucket. So she's like, and
- 5:02Speaker 2: then when we left, she goes, girls, don't be sad
- 5:04Speaker 2: if we never come here again. And then the manager goes,
- 5:08Speaker 2: we'd rather you not.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Isn't that crazy? Could you imagine talking to somebody like that,
- 5:14Speaker 1: even if you're not the manager of a location, like just.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Yeah, like, why would you even say anything like that?
- 5:19Speaker 1: That's as rude Even if you think it, you don't
- 5:22Speaker 1: say it. I mean, it is your job, and let's
- 5:24Speaker 1: be honest. It is a pretty busy McDonald's. It's kind
- 5:27Speaker 1: of a place where this place is kind of the
- 5:29Speaker 1: only place to eat for a lot of places and
- 5:31Speaker 1: you kind of have to run through it. And I
- 5:33Speaker 1: get it. It's busy. It's sports season. There's buses, but
- 5:36Speaker 1: come on, and it wasn't There was no bus there
- 5:39Speaker 1: that night. It wasn't busy.
- 5:41Speaker 2: It wasn't even busy, but there was two people. There
- 5:43Speaker 2: was one with a dog literally, and then there was
- 5:47Speaker 2: another girl from the other team that played us, and
- 5:49Speaker 2: she's like, I had She goes, we've been here for
- 5:54Speaker 2: like two hours. I had to leave the car because
- 5:57Speaker 2: it was my kids are getting very hungry and they
- 6:01Speaker 2: are getting super mad at each other, and they hear
- 6:03Speaker 2: about She was joking though, like it.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Was yeah, obviously I would. I would hope that the
- 6:08Speaker 1: kids wouldn't eat each other.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it was joking. She's like, okay, So I
- 6:11Speaker 2: had to get out of the car. Literally, So what
- 6:14Speaker 2: they were doing was going through all the drive through
- 6:17Speaker 2: orders and not even touching our meal because the other
- 6:21Speaker 2: one's like, yeah, we've had ours up there for like
- 6:23Speaker 2: two hours and they just haven't touched it. Ours literally,
- 6:27Speaker 2: our two numbers literally the only ones on there haven't
- 6:30Speaker 2: been touched.
- 6:31Speaker 1: So if any McDonald's employees are listening to the show,
- 6:33Speaker 1: I'd love for you to leave a comment or chime
- 6:35Speaker 1: in or whatever, like I'm curious how does the drive
- 6:38Speaker 1: through work? Like who has the priority does it come in?
- 6:40Speaker 1: So say, say let's go hypothetical, say car number one
- 6:44Speaker 1: is an order number one, car number two? You know,
- 6:46Speaker 1: was there order number two? Then say you were the
- 6:48Speaker 1: say the person where the kids were pretending to eat
- 6:51Speaker 1: each other or whatever was three? Say another car was four,
- 6:54Speaker 1: you were five? Six? Do they go in that order?
- 6:56Speaker 1: Do they have to go drive through? Do they have
- 6:58Speaker 1: to go No, they just do the.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Entire drive through orders and then they touched the other one.
- 7:03Speaker 1: No, I'm saying that's what you thought happened, But I'm
- 7:05Speaker 1: asking I wonder how McDonald's actually does it. There has
- 7:09Speaker 1: to be an order, Let's be honest. They have figured
- 7:12Speaker 1: out and master how to get orders and get them
- 7:17Speaker 1: out quickly. Like they are very, very good, And I
- 7:19Speaker 1: know that these people had a night that wasn't great.
- 7:22Speaker 1: But I'm gonna be honest. I've been there a couple
- 7:24Speaker 1: of times. I don't overly love it, and it has
- 7:27Speaker 1: nothing to do with it. I just don't love the
- 7:28Speaker 1: food whatever. But like I've seen them come out and
- 7:31Speaker 1: be super quick, I've also seen them come out and
- 7:34Speaker 1: be super slow. But I have noticed that the service
- 7:36Speaker 1: has been very rude. They've been very short. The restaurant
- 7:39Speaker 1: itself is disgusting and dirty. They're not keeping it clean
- 7:43Speaker 1: a lot of ruckusts around the parking lots. The food
- 7:46Speaker 1: quality hasn't been as good like a lot of it
- 7:51Speaker 1: used to be. I don't know what happened.
- 7:52Speaker 2: So maybe when I was like three, it was good.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Maybe they'll get things figured out. And the only reason
- 7:56Speaker 1: we're not here trying to bash anybody, and but we
- 7:58Speaker 1: would love for that community, for that that restaurant to
- 8:02Speaker 1: do better, be better, and hopefully they get things figured out.
- 8:04Speaker 1: But for us, it's going to be a hard boycott.
- 8:06Speaker 2: And we said we're it's kind of like located kind
- 8:09Speaker 2: of so if you work there, just.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Just do better.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Yeah, if you're having a bad day, give somebody a hug. Yeah,
- 8:16Speaker 1: go hug somebody. Take a deep breath, it's all right.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Make sure you know them first, make sure they're okay
- 8:21Speaker 2: with it, because you don't want to go up to
- 8:23Speaker 2: a random stranger and just give them a hug.
- 8:25Speaker 1: No, I would be next time I'm going to find
- 8:27Speaker 1: a random stranger, next time you're even give it them
- 8:29Speaker 1: a hug. I'm going to do the thing. A new
- 8:32Speaker 1: place in your town where you go to school just
- 8:36Speaker 1: opened up the Stewart shops. They bought out all the sliders,
- 8:41Speaker 1: which I believe there was four of them. Quick turn
- 8:43Speaker 1: around time. They put a new gas pumps, new gas, everything,
- 8:46Speaker 1: redid the store. And for those that can't see Eila
- 8:51Speaker 1: on the video camera, she has a puppy dog face.
- 8:53Speaker 1: She is a little bit sad because big fan of sliders.
- 8:57Speaker 2: And it's literally what I've ate since I was little,
- 9:01Speaker 2: like when I was born, like a few years after
- 9:04Speaker 2: when I was like two, that's where I ate, like
- 9:07Speaker 2: I always ate there, and now they changed it.
- 9:09Speaker 1: So we were there on the very first day I
- 9:11Speaker 1: believe that the new Stewart Shops was open. Let's give
- 9:15Speaker 1: it a little bit of a review. All right, let's
- 9:17Speaker 1: let's first impressions. I remember a comment when we walked in.
- 9:21Speaker 1: You said they even changed the sign so they had
- 9:25Speaker 1: the Stewart sign, which I mean, obviously they're not gonna
- 9:27Speaker 1: have sliders. It's sad signs up there. So it was
- 9:29Speaker 1: a little bit sad for you. What what went through
- 9:32Speaker 1: your brain the minute you walked in for the very
- 9:34Speaker 1: first time? Wow, that's what you thought.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Wow, because it was so different, Like, I don't like it.
- 9:40Speaker 2: It was so different, I don't like you.
- 9:42Speaker 1: So describe to the people what was so much different
- 9:45Speaker 1: because so when you walked into the Sliders, originally they
- 9:47Speaker 1: had like.
- 9:48Speaker 2: A parking lot, new gas station, like pumps, there's new
- 9:53Speaker 2: types of like places where they would be like, there's
- 9:57Speaker 2: the food. It meant the cooler it is on the
- 10:01Speaker 2: other side where it used to be.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Now the coolers in the same exact spot. No, it's not,
- 10:05Speaker 1: it's one hundred percent. They don't move coolers like that.
- 10:07Speaker 1: So let me break it down.
- 10:08Speaker 2: I didn't mean the cool iman.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Okay, let me break this down. So Sliders originally had
- 10:14Speaker 1: their register in the middle of the things, okay, and
- 10:17Speaker 1: it was like a square shape, and then they would
- 10:19Speaker 1: have some hot foods on one side so they could
- 10:21Speaker 1: come in the employees there, and then on the back
- 10:23Speaker 1: side they had a place where they could make subs
- 10:26Speaker 1: and everything. Bathrooms in the same spot. Coolers are in
- 10:28Speaker 1: the same spot. But they stewarded it up so they
- 10:32Speaker 1: removed which I personally like. It opens a place up.
- 10:36Speaker 1: There's more room for things. Having the register where it
- 10:38Speaker 1: was was you didn't really flow as a customer. It
- 10:42Speaker 1: was a little bit hard. So I liked that they
- 10:44Speaker 1: moved it and put the registers in the back where
- 10:46Speaker 1: they can make subs where they can have the stuff
- 10:49Speaker 1: behind the counter. I like that personally, it is.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Nice, but it was hard walking through the door.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Not like you act like you were part owner of Sliders.
- 10:59Speaker 2: The family.
- 11:00Speaker 1: I hated to shoe you go. But and also when
- 11:02Speaker 1: you walked in, there was a lot of local stuff,
- 11:05Speaker 1: a lot of Adirondeck stuff, a lot of bears, a
- 11:08Speaker 1: lot of mountains and country and all sorts of stuff.
- 11:11Speaker 1: And let's be honest, and this isn't a bad thing,
- 11:13Speaker 1: but all Stuarts are pretty much the same, the same.
- 11:15Speaker 1: It's a chain store. They're very clean, they're very white,
- 11:19Speaker 1: and you know they do a good job. They had
- 11:20Speaker 1: Stuart's food. We were trying to again, we just got
- 11:23Speaker 1: done a game, trying to get something quick on the road,
- 11:26Speaker 1: and of course you are very indecisive. I want to lunchible,
- 11:29Speaker 1: I want mac and cheese. I want this. I want
- 11:32Speaker 1: this one.
- 11:33Speaker 2: I want mac and cheese. Wait, no, I don't that's
- 11:35Speaker 2: not good. I want this. I want that. No, I
- 11:37Speaker 2: want this. When I finally picked something else, I'm like,
- 11:40Speaker 2: can I get some water? You're like, no, we already
- 11:42Speaker 2: have water, And I'm like, okay. So then I went
- 11:45Speaker 2: over to the donuts, and I'm like that, Can I
- 11:48Speaker 2: have a donut? Yeah? I want the jelly one. Wait no,
- 11:51Speaker 2: I want the chocolate one with the sprinkles. Wait no,
- 11:54Speaker 2: I want the glaze one. Wait no, I want the
- 11:56Speaker 2: chocolate one. Oh, I want the glaze ones. I'm getting
- 11:58Speaker 2: the glaze on. It took me like tw twenty minutes
- 12:00Speaker 2: to gear out.
- 12:01Speaker 1: I want to see what I have to deal with people. So, yeah,
- 12:05Speaker 1: she ended up with apasta sl that still didn't get
- 12:07Speaker 1: eaten and it's still in the fridge, and a donut
- 12:09Speaker 1: that definitely got eaten. I ate quite the healthy appetite
- 12:14Speaker 1: for an athlete, huh. Now, so we're gonna we're gonna work.
- 12:20Speaker 1: I mean, obviously, you're in fourth grade, so you don't
- 12:22Speaker 1: have to worry about that stuff. But the rest of
- 12:24Speaker 1: the athletes in this house, it's officially basketball season, so
- 12:28Speaker 1: we will be eating a lot healthier. And you are
- 12:32Speaker 1: going to start eating healthier so you can be healthier.
- 12:34Speaker 1: You and your sister are always sick because you eat
- 12:36Speaker 1: like garbage. What are your goats? It would have been
- 12:40Speaker 1: funny if you went nah that I guess would be
- 12:42Speaker 1: a sheep, right, So what would you rate? I guess
- 12:45Speaker 1: the new Stewarts. Obviously, I know you're a little biased
- 12:48Speaker 1: because it's Sliders, but all in all, I mean they
- 12:50Speaker 1: had a lot of the same stuff, right, they had
- 12:52Speaker 1: the aisles. We did go later in the day, so
- 12:54Speaker 1: a lot of the hot food was not quite there.
- 12:57Speaker 1: What would you rate.
- 12:57Speaker 2: It that.
- 13:00Speaker 1: I've out of ten?
- 13:01Speaker 2: Wow, that's great, No, it was good.
- 13:04Speaker 1: It's just I mean, that's not a great. That's a mid.
- 13:06Speaker 1: That's five is middle of the road. It's a rookie score. Nope,
- 13:10Speaker 1: you already locked it in. You can't change it.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Seven seven seven when you say that, now, that is
- 13:18Speaker 2: a real score.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Learn your lesson, kid. So six point eight for me.
- 13:24Speaker 1: I personally, I'm a huge fan of Stuart's. I didn't
- 13:28Speaker 1: have any you know, ties or sadness that it is
- 13:31Speaker 1: now a Stuart's over a Slider's. I think Stuarts is
- 13:34Speaker 1: gonna be good for it. There's one in the middle
- 13:35Speaker 1: of the town that used to be the old school
- 13:37Speaker 1: and that was a Stuart. I'm assuming that's going to
- 13:39Speaker 1: close in the location the parking lot. It's much better
- 13:42Speaker 1: for the brand, so good for them, Good for them.
- 13:46Speaker 1: So anything else on that, I don't think we've really
- 13:51Speaker 1: ate anywhere else?
- 13:52Speaker 2: No, okay, I mean not in the last get out
- 13:58Speaker 2: of here, last tweet? No.
- 14:00Speaker 1: All right, moving on, so let's try something new. Okay,
- 14:07Speaker 1: we're gonna go with a new game, basketball or snack.
- 14:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna hit you with rapid fire scenarios and you
- 14:13Speaker 1: have to answer, is it a basketball thing or is
- 14:16Speaker 1: it a snack thing? Yep, you got me. Yeah, Let's
- 14:19Speaker 1: see how many of these you can get, right, Okay,
- 14:24Speaker 1: Crispy crunchers snack or basketball snack? Are you sure? Yep
- 14:31Speaker 1: it's a snack?
- 14:32Speaker 2: Correct?
- 14:35Speaker 1: Pick and roll basketball or snack basketball? Are you sure?
- 14:39Speaker 2: Yes?
- 14:40Speaker 1: Pick and roll is basketball? Do you know what a
- 14:43Speaker 1: pick and roll is?
- 14:45Speaker 2: You picked who you pass it to, and a new
- 14:47Speaker 2: run to the basket.
- 14:49Speaker 1: You set a pick and when the person comes around
- 14:52Speaker 1: the pick, you come off shoulder to shoulder and then
- 14:55Speaker 1: roll to the basketball. How about a twisted dunker basketball
- 15:04Speaker 1: or snack snack? You're right? It is a twisted pretzel dunker?
- 15:09Speaker 1: Is what I had in mind. If I was going
- 15:11Speaker 1: to say a three sixty dunk, would it be a
- 15:14Speaker 1: snack or would it be basketball? A three sixty dunk basketball? Okay?
- 15:20Speaker 1: All right, let's see here What about the euro step?
- 15:25Speaker 2: Wait? Did I get that one right?
- 15:26Speaker 1: You got that one right? The euro step basketball or
- 15:31Speaker 1: snack snack? The eurostep snack? It is basketball. Euro step
- 15:38Speaker 1: is because you can know how you can take two
- 15:39Speaker 1: steps to go into a layup. A eurostep is kind
- 15:42Speaker 1: of like you take one here and one here, so
- 15:44Speaker 1: you're kind of do the euro step is one wrong?
- 15:48Speaker 1: What about flaming fire bites basketball or snack snack? Are
- 15:55Speaker 1: you sure?
- 15:55Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 15:56Speaker 1: Final answer, yes, it's actually snack.
- 16:02Speaker 2: I knew that because it says bites.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Yeah, but there's plays that are potential bites. Anyways. What
- 16:09Speaker 1: about a layup that is that's basketball?
- 16:14Speaker 2: Are you sure I do layups? Do? Yes? I do
- 16:19Speaker 2: more like jump shots, layups and layups.
- 16:24Speaker 1: What about an explosion? I was thinking of things like
- 16:30Speaker 1: cheddar explosion, flaming cheddar explosion, snack. I don't know anything
- 16:38Speaker 1: in an explosion. It does sound basketball.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Because you said explode, like when I'm shooting.
- 16:43Speaker 1: What about the double dribbled deluxe basketball? It's probably both.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Obviously we know what a double dribble is. Deluxe is
- 16:51Speaker 1: usually food. I just made that one up. It's probably
- 16:54Speaker 1: served at a gas station somewhere, and probably.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Well, basketball, I only got one wrong so far.
- 17:04Speaker 1: What about low block basketball or basketball? Are you sure?
- 17:09Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 17:10Speaker 1: When where's the low block? If it's basketball, what is
- 17:13Speaker 1: it the low block?
- 17:14Speaker 2: The low block is like right near the basket.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Where you line up between the foul line, or like
- 17:20Speaker 1: for file shots.
- 17:21Speaker 2: Okay, I think yeah.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Yeah, most of the time, it's like a colored block,
- 17:27Speaker 1: a rectangle.
- 17:27Speaker 2: That's what I was thinking of.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Okay, Okay, I think I think you won that round.
- 17:34Speaker 2: I only got one wrong.
- 17:36Speaker 1: It's pretty good.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Hmm, all right, it was the bites one.
- 17:41Speaker 1: The bites one. Yeah, I mean no, it wasn't.
- 17:44Speaker 2: That was a different one.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Anyways, you did pretty good, better than I thought, better
- 17:49Speaker 1: than I thought. What else is going on? You got
- 17:52Speaker 1: anything going on? Exciting in school? Anything exciting and anything
- 17:56Speaker 1: Basketball is over. It's going to be a long season
- 17:59Speaker 1: now that Sissy and Avery and myself are ramped right
- 18:03Speaker 1: into basketball season. No, I don't, Actually, you got nothing.
- 18:07Speaker 1: You came so unprepared to the podcast with nothing.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Anything.
- 18:13Speaker 1: What okay? Hold on, hold on, somebody's sick proper, Mike Etiquett,
- 18:19Speaker 1: though we are not coughing into the mic, which the
- 18:21Speaker 1: next person that gets to sit here in the studio
- 18:23Speaker 1: is definitely gonna appreciate that. Yeah, okay, how about this,
- 18:27Speaker 1: we will do a little fun take. You've seen me coach, right,
- 18:33Speaker 1: You've been coached. So now I want you to give
- 18:38Speaker 1: me your best coach pep talk, which means like before
- 18:43Speaker 1: a game, during a timeout or something, your team struggling
- 18:47Speaker 1: a little bit. You want to get your team get
- 18:49Speaker 1: ready for the game, give me your best coach pep talk.
- 18:53Speaker 2: I have two show the time out and the beginning
- 18:56Speaker 2: of the game.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Okay, go start at the beginning of the game.
- 18:58Speaker 2: So I want you guys to do I don't want,
- 19:03Speaker 2: I don't want. Keep your hands close, do not foul.
- 19:07Speaker 1: I want you Okay, before you do, I'm gonna ask
- 19:09Speaker 1: you very nicely to please stop tapping those ridiculously long
- 19:13Speaker 1: fingernails that you have because it's not basketball, because it
- 19:16Speaker 1: is really hard. The mike will pick them up. It's
- 19:19Speaker 1: just really hard for people to hear this super awesome
- 19:21Speaker 1: coach pep talk. Okay, okay, keep going.
- 19:25Speaker 2: So I want you guys to not foul, and I
- 19:27Speaker 2: want you guys to do layups, jump shots, and I
- 19:33Speaker 2: also want you guys to do box in qs, boxing
- 19:41Speaker 2: QS is like a play that it's a play.
- 19:43Speaker 1: I thought you were saying, like the letter Q, do
- 19:45Speaker 1: a bunch of cues and I'm like, that doesn't make it.
- 19:48Speaker 1: I know, cus got you don't tell everybody your play.
- 19:50Speaker 1: It's a secret. I got you. Okay, So you got
- 19:53Speaker 1: a box out run cusps file shots. All right, that's
- 19:56Speaker 1: that's a decent pregame. Pep talk. Now let's hear your
- 19:59Speaker 1: time out. All right, so let's give your we just
- 20:03Speaker 1: call the time out. Your team's not playing real well,
- 20:05Speaker 1: you guys are just being lazy and uh, what are
- 20:08Speaker 1: you gonna what? We're gonna tell the team.
- 20:10Speaker 2: I need you guys too. I need you guys to
- 20:12Speaker 2: be strong with the ball. I need you guy to
- 20:14Speaker 2: shoot more. And I need you guys to get the
- 20:16Speaker 2: ball more because you guys, and I need you got
- 20:19Speaker 2: to put you guys to put hustle, because you guys
- 20:22Speaker 2: are not hustling and you're walking. Yeah, that's not bad.
- 20:25Speaker 1: I'm the coach, are no, but I want to Okay,
- 20:30Speaker 1: So give us give us the best advice. Just watch
- 20:32Speaker 1: your feet, give us your your your best advice. A
- 20:36Speaker 1: player struggling they they want to get better in the
- 20:39Speaker 1: off season what do you tell them then, coach, Iila.
- 20:42Speaker 2: I want you to go outside if you can.
- 20:48Speaker 1: It's the middle of winter. I can't go outside, but
- 20:50Speaker 1: like if it was summer, but it's not. It's in
- 20:52Speaker 1: the off season right now, it's outside. It's outside, Coach,
- 20:55Speaker 1: I can't go outside. It's cold out and they're not
- 20:58Speaker 1: even gonna shovel off the court outside. And then my
- 21:00Speaker 1: hoops put away because it's winter.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Okay. I want you to get one of these balls,
- 21:07Speaker 2: and it is an inside ball.
- 21:09Speaker 1: Okay, excuse me.
- 21:11Speaker 2: It's an inside ball, so you don't so you dribble
- 21:15Speaker 2: it inside and it's completely safer inside. I want you
- 21:19Speaker 2: to practice dribbling with both hands, crossovers, and I really
- 21:24Speaker 2: want you to practice your form, your form, and I
- 21:28Speaker 2: want you to practice your how your.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Rap I'm a rapper.
- 21:34Speaker 2: No, it's where you like put your leg around It's
- 21:39Speaker 2: where you put your leg around their leg. Well, you
- 21:42Speaker 2: put your leg around their body and then you turn
- 21:45Speaker 2: so you're open for the ball and then you run
- 21:47Speaker 2: to the basket.
- 21:48Speaker 1: But I'm doing it out at my house. What if
- 21:49Speaker 1: there's nobody there, then you just practice.
- 21:52Speaker 2: I'm like, nobody, you just do it on air.
- 21:54Speaker 1: So I just have to get a basketball that doesn't
- 21:57Speaker 1: make noise and practice.
- 21:58Speaker 2: A rap got it, and double dribble.
- 22:01Speaker 1: I'm at double dribble. I don't think that's a good thing.
- 22:05Speaker 2: And that crossovers in dribbling with both hands, like both
- 22:10Speaker 2: both ones like left hand right?
- 22:12Speaker 1: Gotcha? Okay? Practice drive okay, gotcha? Maybe you should take
- 22:17Speaker 1: your own advice. Do you haven't touched that? You haven't
- 22:21Speaker 1: touched that silent basketball in about eight months. I've never
- 22:24Speaker 1: seen you do the wrap, and I would add that
- 22:26Speaker 1: you need to do more push ups. What do you
- 22:29Speaker 1: think about that?
- 22:32Speaker 2: I know?
- 22:34Speaker 1: All right, So you went to a friends giving party.
- 22:37Speaker 1: I start tell me about it.
- 22:40Speaker 2: There was a lot of food, yea, what was your
- 22:42Speaker 2: go to food? Cheese and crackers.
- 22:45Speaker 1: What makes a good cheese and cracker?
- 22:47Speaker 2: Cheese and crackers, obviously.
- 22:49Speaker 1: But what I mean so, so anybody can just go
- 22:51Speaker 1: down the aisle pick any cracker, any cheese, and it's
- 22:53Speaker 1: the perfect cheese and crackers in your opinion.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Club crackers, sharp cheddar, cheese, mustard sharp chart? What is
- 23:01Speaker 2: that like? The really sharp kind.
- 23:03Speaker 1: That I like? Sharp cheddar sharp, American sharp?
- 23:07Speaker 2: It's white, okay sharp, it's really sharp.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Though, aren't you going to cut your mouth if you're
- 23:13Speaker 1: eating sharp cheese?
- 23:14Speaker 2: Brost stop?
- 23:16Speaker 1: Did you just brow me? That's two push ups when
- 23:19Speaker 1: we get done the recording.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Okay, easy, easy money.
- 23:22Speaker 1: So that's that's the key. Club white cheese. That's the best.
- 23:26Speaker 1: Club crackers.
- 23:27Speaker 2: That's all you need, sharp cheddar cheese and pepperoni and
- 23:31Speaker 2: club crackers.
- 23:32Speaker 1: I like it. I don't know. I'm not mad about that.
- 23:35Speaker 2: You do club cracker, then your pepperoni, then your cheese. Done,
- 23:38Speaker 2: another club cracker.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Okay, that's also like a sandwich, like a cracker sandwiches pep.
- 23:44Speaker 2: Pepperoni, yes, pepperoni. Only who was that?
- 23:51Speaker 1: What is that? What kind of accent is that? It's
- 23:55Speaker 1: a pepperoni accent?
- 23:57Speaker 2: Any?
- 23:58Speaker 1: All right? What was what else was that there? For
- 24:00Speaker 1: food that you liked? Or is that all you ate?
- 24:01Speaker 1: Because that wouldn't surprise me if that's all you ate?
- 24:04Speaker 2: You No, I ate cookie and I ate chips, and
- 24:07Speaker 2: I ate so nothing healthy.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Was there any vegetables there?
- 24:10Speaker 2: No?
- 24:10Speaker 1: I'm going to ask your mom. No, yep, no, you
- 24:15Speaker 1: like somebody's a lion.
- 24:16Speaker 2: I'm not.
- 24:18Speaker 1: Longer pinocchio. I know with pizza, there's a lot of pizza, pizza.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Is there any pigs in a blanket? No? Good? Okay,
- 24:27Speaker 1: there's good chips though, kind of chips. What's the best
- 24:30Speaker 1: chips in your opinion?
- 24:31Speaker 2: You could only have sick the classic classic.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Yellow bag lais they're the best chips ever. Yes, I
- 24:39Speaker 1: strongly disagree.
- 24:41Speaker 2: And also I'm flaming hot cheetos.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Well that's not really a chip. I think cheetos are
- 24:46Speaker 1: their own class.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Right, it's a type of chip.
- 24:48Speaker 1: It's not.
- 24:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:50Speaker 1: No, if you looked up flaming chetos, it wouldn't say
- 24:52Speaker 1: a potato chip. I don't even know if it's made.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Out of potato chips.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Well, that's what chips are. They're made of potatoes and
- 24:57Speaker 1: potato chips. No, not, guess they are. What do you
- 25:01Speaker 1: think they're made of? Now, you're just being ridiculous?
- 25:06Speaker 2: Made from the eating my pepperoni aloney baloney? Remember that
- 25:12Speaker 2: from a few episodes ago. Yeah, I eat my pepperoni alone.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Okay, all right, Well somebody's being goofy. It's probably all
- 25:21Speaker 1: the medicine that they're taking or the lack. So thanks
- 25:25Speaker 1: for hanging out with us on this episode. To stay
- 25:27Speaker 1: out of my fridge. We had some proud moments Island
- 25:31Speaker 1: making the basket. She actually won the little trivia game.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Somehow we got basketball SnO stories. Maybe we're gonna have
- 25:39Speaker 1: some more snack reviews. Hopefully she's gonna be feeling a
- 25:42Speaker 1: little bit better and come back better, stronger, less coughs
- 25:46Speaker 1: next week, you think. Yeah, yeah, so we got a
- 25:50Speaker 1: pretty packed fridge. Did you see anything that's weird in there,
- 25:53Speaker 1: anything that needs to be thrown out? Probably like that
- 25:55Speaker 1: bag of grapes that's been in there since summertime. Probably yeah, no, yeah,
- 26:03Speaker 1: that's all just yeah, Okay, we'll see you next time,
- 26:07Speaker 1: probably arguing over if euro step is actually a snack
- 26:11Speaker 1: or a basketball move. So we will see you all
- 26:15Speaker 1: next week. Can't thank you enough for taking some time
- 26:18Speaker 1: out of the busy day. And I don't even know
- 26:19Speaker 1: if Island knows this yet, but we move this show
- 26:22Speaker 1: over to the Beard Laws Network, its own brand new
- 26:25Speaker 1: YouTube channel. We're gonna leave Beard Law Studio with only
- 26:27Speaker 1: beard stuff, where we're gonna do daily beard reactions that
- 26:32Speaker 1: I do the Beard three show, and I started something
- 26:35Speaker 1: on Wednesdays called the Beard Report. So we're gonna keep
- 26:38Speaker 1: it all beards and on the Beard Laws Network. It's
- 26:39Speaker 1: gonna be the Your Town Podcast with myself in Meg,

- 26:55Speaker 1: the backseat.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Taken knaps unreal.
- 26:58Speaker 1: But that's gonna be the lineup, so you guys can
- 27:00Speaker 1: come Verder the Beard Laws and network see clips from
- 27:02Speaker 1: the show, and you can also see the shows themselves.
- 27:05Speaker 1: It's just gonna be a variety podcast, long form show,
- 27:09Speaker 1: no beards, because I feel like people either like the
- 27:11Speaker 1: beards or they don't. So this one's gonna be all podcasts.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Hopefully you will check it out. Are you gonna check
- 27:16Speaker 1: it out? Eila?
- 27:18Speaker 2: Yes?

- 27:25Speaker 1: stay out of my fridge because there's no cheese or
- 27:28Speaker 1: crackers in there. We don't keep the crackers in the fridge, right, No, Okay,
- 27:33Speaker 1: Well that's all we got. We'll be back next week.
- 27:35Speaker 1: Take care, everybody, knocking.
