- 0:10[SPEAKER_02]: Good morning, everyone.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: If it is morning when you're listening to this, we are currently drinking our first cup of the day.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: If you're wondering cup of what cup of coffee made by your dear barista, Alia.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_02]: Personal barista.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, personal in-house WTJ studio barista.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_00]: Like if you didn't know in the WTJ studio, we have an in-house barista, and it doesn't meet.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's her sometimes that is me when you're not around.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think, I mean, if I'm not around then we're not in the W2 studio.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_02]: But you don't trust me to make your coffee.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, your latte or cup of tuna because you make better are latte or you make better.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_00]: You also just make this the milk to frothy.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I don't like it to be that frothy.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_02]: That's not necessarily true, but I can see where you're coming from.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, well, I'm telling you, that's my truth.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: But I also do enjoy making the coffee.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we have like the coffee station.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_00]: We like put it all together.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_00]: We go, yeah, we have all the tools.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, props to Alia.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_02]: She, he was her idea to have a coffee shop in our living room.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_02]: A coffee shop.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, wow.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_02]: Did I say coffee shop?
- 1:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_02]: A coffee station.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, yeah, I mean my mom keeps saying she doesn't like that it's like why do you have a coffee station in your living room?
- 1:31[SPEAKER_00]: We could like try to put it maybe like closer to the kitchen like on that wall But I don't know.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's nice.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_00]: I've seen other people like have their coffee station like in the living room.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think it's that weird.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_02]: I think it works.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's cute But I didn't know she didn't like it
- 1:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, she keeps telling me anytime I'm like showing her new things we've done in the apartment Because it's not, it's like non-traditional, it's different Yeah, exactly, it's more like new Yeah, people are used to this delivery room, this way you sit and watch TV Yeah And you know, so I get it Yeah, yeah
- 2:03[SPEAKER_00]: But you guys, we're finally, finally doing this episode.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_00]: If you're wondering what the episode planned was for last week when we were talking, and then we had planned to record an episode about a different topic, this was the topic.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we love a good teaser, you know, like, It wasn't intentional.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_02]: If you've been listening to WTJ for a few years, you know, that any chance we get who remembers when we joked about quitting the podcast.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was the end of season two.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_00]: And what do we do?
- 2:38[SPEAKER_02]: We were like, you know, it's just a lot of work and we just can't do it.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_02]: Because podcasting is not the only thing we do.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that is still fact.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that is still very true, so it's like, but we said that the end of the season, we were like, this is it.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we said that the end of the season.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, but then we said that gets a joke.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but then we were like, no, but we're kidding, and then everybody was going crazy.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_00]: Imagine if we left it like that until like the season three premier.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_02]: No, that's wrong.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_02]: That's wrong because Do some podcasts that others into that I feel very attached to yeah, it's like a part of my life Yeah, so if they say yeah, we're quitting today.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sorry.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, of course They have the right to do that, but it's gonna be like I feel like I lost so much
- 3:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we're not going anywhere, you guys.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_00]: And today we wanted to finally talk about our pre-baby bucket list.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: If you have, we've talked about it many times, I think, like throughout last season.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_00]: But we wanted to dedicate a full two episodes.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_00]: So this is going to be like a two-partner.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_00]: Um, two episodes to our pre-baby bucket list, which if you don't know what that means, I think it's pretty self-explanatory.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_00]: But a bucket list is, if also you've never watched a movie The Bucket List with Jack.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: What's his name?
- 3:56[SPEAKER_02]: Jack Harlow.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no, no.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's with Morgan Freeman and, um, Jack and Nicholson.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, this is this isn't Jack Nicholson.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_02]: There's only a few jacks on them.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I guess so yeah Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson, they are in this movie called The Bucket List.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's quite old.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_00]: I want to say it's like 2010, maybe even like 20, 2007, 2006.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: But it's such a good movie.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_00]: It's also really sad.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: But, a bucket list is usually a list that you want to, of activities and things you want to do and achieve, but usually I feel like it's what you want to do.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_00]: With a certain timeframe in mind, usually you have like a life bucket list if you want.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: where it's like, before I die, I want to see the sphinx or like before I die, I want to like, so that's the idea of a book list, but you can also make it more, like you can have a summer book list, where it's like this summer, I want to go on like a road trip in this place.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, everybody got a book list.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so we decided that because we are so actively and constantly thinking about our timeline with starting a family and having our first kid, we were thinking about all the things we want to do before that step in our life.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_02]: And that's been a thing we've been thinking about before even coming up with the idea of making this into a podcast episode.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, I mean, we had the pre-biby-biby-buckulas just like in our minds like talking about it and it became a real one.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_02]: We wrote it down.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like when we see it one day we were like, okay, this was something that we've been wanting to do like when we went to Japan in March of this year.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_00]: That was like a huge thing on our list that we said was was like incredible effect that we got to go.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I mean, there's, so there's many sections, and I think we should just like get right into it.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_02]: Because, okay, let's get into the sections, and because we're not going to do all the sections today.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: We're doing two parts to this, so we're going to stop about halfway through.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but we're going to start with travel, because I feel like travel is probably on like, if you were to make your own pre, pre, baby bucket list, I'm not going to say that every single time.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: If you're gonna make your own life, you said PB, if you're gonna make your own PBB, you'd be bucket it.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: That's so weird.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like traveling is the first and that comes to mind.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't want this episode to come off in any way that we are like,
- 6:38[SPEAKER_00]: Thinking our life is gonna be over once we have a baby and like all these things.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, but I think you also have to be realistic that for a while Like there's gonna be a lot of things that you just won't be able to do and traveling is one of them.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna sneeze once again Thanks for the heads up Nice while all over my own dang.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: I've let us use the other direction But the other thing too is
- 7:06[SPEAKER_00]: is that this is like the last time that you will be doing anything activity wise just the two of you.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_02]: That's true.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: Once you have a kid you're not going to leave your kid by themselves.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_02]: You have a nanny that you can hire.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: For what?
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: Like if you're traveling?
- 7:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but like you're not gonna leave your kid with a nanny for like a week You can.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't want to do that though.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, but you can.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
- 7:30[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, you're saying this is the last time We're just like no, there's grandmas, there's uncles, there's people who can watch a kid for five days But it's different you're still a parent
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's about like also traveling and doing these things without knowing that there's like a child waiting for you at home and like feeling that guilt that you're leaving your kid behind and like all these things like we just don't have any of that in our lives right now.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we don't.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: So that's why I think traveling is a very justified like top priority for before.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_00]: I least like some big trips.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but I do just want to say that if you have someone who can watch a kid for five days, it's totally normal and it's okay to do.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely, but I also just think it's different.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: Even in that case to travel at that point, it still feels different than traveling when you just don't have a kid at all.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I'm saying.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I'm saying.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, what are you going to do when you travel when someone is watching your kid versus when you're traveling, you don't have a kid?
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to have the worry of having my kid like be at home.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_02]: What kind of where are you leaving it with someone you trust?
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: You know that they're worried that like they're good And nothing happened that they know that I'm I don't know Okay, they don't think you ran away from them.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like just with like missing their mom and their dad and like also the guilt of like just you I know that like leaving your kid Especially the beginning and being like a first
- 8:57[SPEAKER_00]: time parent is like reading in your kid is going to be hard.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm not trying to sound like I'm trying to leave.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you're like you're like giving no shit.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, no, I'm just saying I just I just spoke to when you said this is the last time you're going to be able to like that's not necessarily true.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but it's the last time that you'll be able to do that without having a child responsibility in your life.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_00]: Whether they come with you on the trip or there with grandma and grandpa
- 9:27[SPEAKER_00]: Um, our list is pretty long and obviously this is not going to be I think for the travel we have like some specific locations and countries and then we have some more like like undefined locations.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to find the case in the first life.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_00]: It's just a location.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: So first of all, as we had Spain, we already did.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: We already went to Barcelona.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: I went to my Yorker.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_00]: And I feel like, if I were to get the opportunity to go again, I would, but to Spain, because I really like, Spain, I really love Portugal, they have our vibe.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we'd like these types of places that are just like, they got some some life, some energy like strangers are nice to each other, like we're very attracted to these types of places, you know?
- 10:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, my oracle is really beautiful.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like one day we have to go back to my oracle and explore the other side of the island.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's so beautiful.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_02]: Barcelona we did, I have a thing with this like, what's up, visit a place, I don't want to go back there again any time soon because there's so many places in the world that I want to see why would I go back to the same place just because it was so good, there's so many other places where also so good, if not, like, better.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_00]: I hear you, but that also takes me to the next country that is already checked off the list and that is Japan.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_00]: We went to Tokyo and went to Kyoto and we went for a day trip to Osaka.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_00]: And the other day, I was like, you know, I would love to go to Japan again.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I really, like, I'm, like, I'm actively and generally looking forward to go to Japan again.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_02]: For some reason, Japan is an exception for me as well, because I really, really love.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so much about it, yeah, that's how I said it and Tokyo has I have to say it's probably my favorite city that I've ever been to so far Yeah, I would definitely want to go to Tokyo again, obviously and then go to like a different city We haven't been like go further into Japan whether don't want to go into a I want to go to like Or not like a country side of Japan.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, like a
- 11:40[SPEAKER_00]: town or something.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think Okinawa would be really cool because it's actually very different than the rest of the country.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, so would love to, if we got the opportunity to go to Japan again, I would never say no.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_02]: I would never say no, it's a bad.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_00]: But there are a few other places that are big trips that we would love to prioritize and we are prioritizing before we start, you know.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_02]: This next one that we're going to mention, I feel like we are committed.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_02]: Adobe teacher community there is huge.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_02]: And every time I post anything that eludes to that country, everyone is hitting me with the flags in the comments.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_02]: So you know which one it is?
- 12:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_02]: You guys Brazil.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_02]: We are coming.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know when exactly we were planning to go this year for new years.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: We have some Brazilian friends that they were planning on being in Brazil for Christmas and then into the new year.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: So we're like, oh, perfect opportunity.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_00]: Also,
- 12:44[SPEAKER_00]: In Brazil, if you don't know, they go crazy for new years.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, they do this whole celebration.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody wears all white.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_00]: You go on the beach.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_00]: You eat grapes on the other table.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_00]: Like there's a bunch of random grapes on the other table.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's like just supposed to eat a certain amount of grapes on the other table, like right at the countdown.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: Like one grape for the last 10 seconds.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: And then it's like one grape per second under a table.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_02]: I'm down.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_02]: I love grapes.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_02]: I love wearing all white.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_02]: I really been in my all white face.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you only have been enjoying his all white outfits, but yeah, so we really want to go to Brazil for new years, but our friends are no longer able to go because of like some just different plans that they have going on.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't know, we do really, we want to go, and I have a feeling like we could obviously go and travel by ourselves without somebody who like speaks Portuguese.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_00]: We'd ask somebody who's holding it in there and stuff.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_00]: But at the same time, I think you would be such a fun experience to go with somebody that you know.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_00]: And,
- 13:48[SPEAKER_02]: I always recommend, I mean, I feel like when you go somewhere and you know a local or someone who's from there, I feel like your experience is just so much better.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_02]: Then going by yourself and thinking, you're going to figure, and you are going to figure it out, but you're going to miss out on so many little details that can make really it enhance your experience.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_00]: And I just think something about like Brazil and if we were to go, we would obviously go to Rio.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_00]: something about it makes me feel like it hasn't been as touched of like, I don't like, when we went to what we went to a Lisbon, for example, it was full of English-speaking people.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_00]: Like it seemed like as a city, there's so many people that like moved from
- 14:34[SPEAKER_00]: the U.K. or the U.S. or other places that actually live in Lisbon.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_00]: And I had the same vibe with, what's another place that we went to, that they were speaking English.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_02]: Barcelona, everybody's spoken English.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_02]: Like, like, English.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, I just feel like Rio doesn't, I could be wrong by this, but even my friend said, like, yeah, I mean, people speak English, but it's not definitely not as common as like, our experience was in European countries.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_00]: you know so because of that it's like it hasn't been as touched by like it wouldn't be as easy for us to like get around in that way and yeah and I don't know like it just seems kind of
- 15:16[SPEAKER_00]: It just seems like really unknown, like we haven't even been on that, like, continent.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's how Japan was.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_02]: Remember the first day in Japan, I was like, this, I was really overwhelmed, but everything was also written and also, I don't know how public transportation is in Brazil.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like, so think about Japan, like, you just know that everything they make is efficient.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_02]: I know, you can translate everything if it's not already translated.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but even like, as you said, like, transportation, like getting food, like all these different things, they're very, like, I don't know, established sort of, like, perfected in the way that thinks function in Japan, especially in Tokyo.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_00]: But I think, I mean, there's also something to say about just like, Japan feels really safe.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_00]: That's another thing too.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like Brazil's a huge country.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of things that I feel like different areas or different, I don't know, like even my friend said like, in terms of safety, it's like ideal, you would go with somebody who knows like the city better.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, like, and I mean, people tell me all the time to even just people from Brazil to tell me like, you know, like walk around, I don't know what, what, I don't know if it's just real in general or the place, but you can just like walk around with your expensive camera taking photos because that could be stolen.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_02]: It's real.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_02]: But I do want to go through the favelas.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_02]: I just want to like get close to it and see what the vibe is.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, my friend who I listen to like, whoa, Bob, you talk about my friend who went to Brazil recently, she had a friend who did like a tour of the Favella's and it was like,
- 16:58[SPEAKER_00]: It was almost weird because it's like, why are you like going to just someone's neighborhood to be looking at it?
- 17:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like it's just where people live, like the way that they live.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_00]: It's a little bit kind of weird.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's not a museum.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, exactly.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_02]: So I think that's, I don't know why, but I feel like that's why maybe they're not as welcoming when people just walk around, taking photos, like, I feel like she's trying to take photos.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_00]: taking photos in the favelas just to like document it like that's not it that's not going to turn out well I don't think they have their own like law almost like there's no like yeah I'm I'm good to not see that okay next place on the list is Australia okay Australia just feels so far away
- 17:42[SPEAKER_02]: Australia feels, yeah, it definitely feels far away, but it feels like that trip is going to be so worth it.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, I know, like, that would be really fun, especially because we have some friends who we made in New York and they are going to move to Australia, or like, back to Australia.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_02]: That's a Madden Ray.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and very sad that they're going to be moving away from New York because we see each other all the time.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_00]: But it's like the friend's like the friend you get to know and then you find out that they're moving like so Yeah, like in a year after you after you meet, but they will be moving so we were thinking like once they move back to Australia And they get all settled and everything they said like
- 18:30[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, they said that we should come and visit and we're not going to say no of course Like we're going to use that as an excuse of like oh well for friends invited us like we can't not go So we would probably go to Australia sometime next year like early next year, which is going to be really really fun And ideally we would go when it's winter in New York so
- 18:52[SPEAKER_02]: We have how many listeners do we have from Australia.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like this I've talked to a few are from there, but I wonder because there's a lot of people who also listen to the podcast who never either comment or or posts or just like DM.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_00]: So I mean, I'm not saying I feel like anytime we mentioned like a place the people from that place get very excited and then they comment
- 19:14[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, if you listen to this and you've never ever commented or send us a DM on Instagram, we reply to most, to as much as we can, so take this opportunity to just send us a message if you're from, I don't know, Australia or somewhere that we're mentioning in this country.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_02]: I am in this country, or the Favelas.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, yeah, I guess.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'll tell everybody.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and the other place we want to go to is Greece.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_00]: I know you want to go to Italy, but I think like Greece would be, we might as well just like do both because they're kind of close to each other.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_00]: But I never go to Greece and I don't know why to me, Greece is like very different than all the other like if anything, I would go to Greece if I can pick which one
- 20:01[SPEAKER_00]: Like on a Mediterranean?
- 20:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'll go to Greece early.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_02]: Over Italy, because I think just like photographically, Greece, I can already see the photos.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_02]: And everybody goes there to take photos, whatever, but like I just want to do that too.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I just want to do this one.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, both countries obviously, I feel like that that's going to be like a two-part trip.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like I'm thinking next summer, when we go to like Romanian, we go to Belgium, we should add Greece next to it.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_00]: I think that would be a good plan.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_02]: Really?
- 20:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_00]: Like you know how we always add like third, a third, which we didn't do this past summer, this past summer was out of the ordinary, but I think like next summer,
- 20:41[SPEAKER_00]: that should be the plan, that is the plan I'm making right now.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_02]: That's what we did when we went to Japan, we also went to South Korea.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_02]: It was fun, like it was right there.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_00]: The only thing with that is like you have to buy one way tickets.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_00]: You can't do like round trip.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_00]: Things start to get like really expensive, depending how far you are too.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_00]: And then another place, which I don't know,
- 21:11[SPEAKER_00]: is Ethiopia slash the Congo.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't know if it's gonna happen before we have a baby just because something about this trip feels like the biggest out of all Because I also know that if we were to go like who would want to go with like your parents, you know If we go in Congo your dad will want to come if you go to the Ethiopia your mom would absolutely want to come Yeah, you know and then also we would go with like your sister and maybe even like the girls
- 21:41[SPEAKER_02]: That feels like a bigger trip, right?
- 21:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_00]: Because it also feels like I just don't know if it would be just the two of us going or it would be more of a planned, like everybody from your side of the family.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_02]: I think for the first time going back, I feel like I would definitely want to go either with my dad or with my mom or somebody from like that side of family.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I know for sure that if we were to go to the Congo, your dad would be like, oh, I'm coming.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like, we would, and I would want him to come.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_02]: That would be so cool, you know, I have so much family there.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_02]: I have so many cousins that are like, they, I guess they know me, but I don't, I don't know them because it's like, I'm the one who, like, I guess, left.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_02]: So for me to know everyone, because there's something new kids too.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_02]: Like my dad would tell me, oh yeah, you know, you're so you're very young when you left like I'm going to remember I was like four years old, so That's going to be interesting, you know, so if you're listening If you're listening Yeah, you love to stay if you're listening I just want to give everybody a shout out, okay?
- 22:48[SPEAKER_01]: Shout out to Ethiopia and Congo, all right?
- 22:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah
- 22:50[SPEAKER_00]: We had some Ethiopian food the other day.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, you guys remember how Ethiopian food?
- 22:54[SPEAKER_00]: You guys need to find a place in Tvanspa and like go try it out.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_02]: We're craving Ethiopian food forever.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_02]: And in your case, I've never been to Ethiopia.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_02]: So that's why it's also going to be so exciting to go to Ethiopia.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, eating Ethiopian food in Ethiopia.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's great.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_02]: And for people who don't know, I was born in King Chasa, which is the capital of the Congo.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_02]: Like people don't know that.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, well actually I it's not written here, but I want to add one more because when we went to Japan we
- 23:28[SPEAKER_00]: when we went to Japan we were thinking like since we're going down to Southeast Asia I already know what you're about to say I mean obviously you know what am I gonna say?
- 23:39[SPEAKER_02]: you're gonna say Bali oh no you don't want to go to Bali?
- 23:42[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if I want to go to Bali I'm hearing some like mixed mixed reviews what about like I want to go to Vietnam and Thailand my sister went to Thailand she said it was the best time of her life
- 23:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like those Who was it this time?
- 23:58[SPEAKER_02]: Vietnam Vietnam is like very I don't know why they have a talk about what's over there
- 24:06[SPEAKER_00]: uh, Vietnamese food and like Vietnam is a pretty big country so you have a lot of variety like I would love to go in the north to see like really beautiful nature and um, um, greenery and all that but then in the south you have like Puket and then you have wait Puket is that in Vietnam or is that in Thailand?
- 24:30[SPEAKER_00]: If I'm if I'm fucking this up I'm so sorry.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_02]: You put yourself on a spot of your time when I applied somehow.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just really bad with your ugly face.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_00]: But I just know like Vietnam is also very special because it's
- 24:43[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously it's a Vietnamese, but it has a lot of French influence, so it's like there's a lot of very like French and almost like European style building is an architecture And then that's why you even have like the barn me, Sandwich It's because you have the baget that is like French The baget But then you have like Vietnamese ingredients and then you have paté, which is also a French thing, but then they put it in the sandwich with like their stuff
- 25:11[SPEAKER_02]: That's one of my favorite sandwiches.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_02]: I bring it up every once in a while.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_02]: I'll just run it and be like, should we go to some like bond that day?
- 25:18[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, obviously, Thailand is like, yeah, these two are definitely, I don't know.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_00]: Like, we could do these two instead of going into Japan again.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_02]: That's what I'm saying.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_02]: I think we should, even though like Japan, next time we go to Japan, needs to be like what our first kid, when they're like three years old.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_00]: I can see them because it's so doable.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think like the flight is hell alone.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_02]: But after flying to Japan I feel like we can fly anywhere.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_00]: But flying with the baby is different.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_02]: That is true.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_00]: Fly with the, oh, I don't even want to think about it.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_02]: On the fly back here, there was a lady with her baby flying and like she kept wanting to do everything by herself.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_00]: Who was she with?
- 25:58[SPEAKER_02]: She was by herself and the kid.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, she is where I saw them.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_02]: I know, but it was a, I met a bring it up like a couple of weeks ago in a podcast, but she was, she needed to like put her luggage on the overhead little thing.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_02]: And someone was like, oh, like, can I help you?
- 26:14[SPEAKER_02]: She's like, no, I got it.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm not, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not a woman.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not going to be pregnant.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't know what it's like, but I feel like when, when people constantly want to help you, I feel like I'll be getting annoyed.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think that's what it is.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like I would get so into, like, I can do this, but thank you.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_00]: And I also think she's probably, she's probably really locked in to, like, her situation.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I'm getting on this plane with my baby.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_02]: I'm getting all organized and like she had the bottle, then she had to open, open something to get a little different lid and someone kept asking for help and I can tell she was really holding it and holding her reactions in because she was like trying to say,
- 26:55[SPEAKER_02]: I'm okay, basically I'm okay, please don't ask me to shit again.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_00]: I can't imagine how like if you're in that situation and you're like a single parent on the plan with your baby, like you're locked in to like, you know exactly like everything they need to do and somebody like,
- 27:11[SPEAKER_00]: I'm constantly asking if you need help.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I wrote.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_02]: Just leave me alone.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_02]: One more thing, you know, so annoying.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_02]: I was watching too.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_02]: When she was trying to hold the baby in her shed, like the little front front baby holder, the baby is like sitting kind of like on on your chest.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_02]: And she kept on trying to do something.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_02]: It looked like she really needed help.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_02]: And a few times the guy that was next to me did help her, and she was like, oh, thank you.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_02]: He made things a lot easier, like closing her luggage.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_02]: But what I hated is that everyone, anytime she got up to do something,
- 27:41[SPEAKER_02]: She's going to need help now, did she get it?
- 27:43[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, she got it.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I mean, I think that makes me feel because she's by herself.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, and I get it.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_02]: And I want her to help too.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_02]: But I also didn't want to be that person like you.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_02]: And I help you like, what if Christina should react before the other people.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_02]: And I get it.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like I get annoyed too.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, so it's like a balance.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, anyways, this is not a episode about that.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we can talk about that more in another episode.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, travel adjacent.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_00]: So this is the part where it's like, it's not specifically to a place, but it's more traveling activities.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_00]: I want to go on a camping trip.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_00]: I know, listen, Yoni's not big on camping, being outside, camping with.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_00]: sound like I would love to experience back country camping.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I don't know.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_00]: If you don't know anything, it's like you go, you don't know what that is.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_00]: I don't actually know what this wasn't till recently.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know this is what it was called.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_02]: Give us the exact definition of back camping.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_00]: Back country.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_02]: Back, oh, back country camping.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's what it's called, the back country.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_00]: It might be so wrong.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_00]: But basically it's like camping when where you have like all of your gear with you.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_00]: 10 like all these things like you have your food you have your little electric like stove you have a chair you have you know Like all the clothes and you have it all in like a hiking backpack and it usually Hike to like over-mote location you don't go to a camping ground like you find
- 29:17[SPEAKER_00]: like your own like rock formation or like your, you know, cliff or something.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_03]: And you want to do that?
- 29:25[SPEAKER_00]: And then you camp there and you like set up your tent.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_00]: You set up all these things.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_00]: But you're like in the wilderness.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_00]: Like there's no water source for you to like go to.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_00]: Like you have to carry your own water and all these different things.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_00]: And you're just like a lot of a lot.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_00]: Like you don't have access to a lot of like necessities.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_02]: Why?
- 29:45[SPEAKER_02]: Like why do you want to do that?
- 29:47[SPEAKER_00]: because you get to go in such incredibly beautiful places because usually camping grounds are like created in a place that isn't like it supports a camping ground.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_02]: So you want to go to like an unrestricted area, like you just wild hiking.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, no, there's also places that are made like you're allowed to camp there, but it's not a camping ground.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's like people don't drive up and then set up their tent.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_00]: You have to hike to get there for one.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, but it needs to be accessible.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you know what I'm talking about.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_02]: Like, there's the other type of camping and hiking that people do that just go out and they don't know.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_02]: It hasn't been like,
- 30:33[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what it what you call like exam and like people use trails like people don't go hiking and just directionless, you know Like most of the time people go on a hike or something like that is like they're following a trail or a path that has been made by somebody else You never heard of someone just hiking in the wilderness without a trail like they're just hiking to do something
- 30:56[SPEAKER_00]: No, I know most of the time like people that go on like hikes people when they say like oh we're going on a on a Hiking trip or whatever.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's like backpacking trip.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_00]: It's like the other backpack and for days They go from one place to the next to the next to the next.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_00]: That's planned They're not just wondering around the forest, you know.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, I just want to say that that doesn't exist And I watch documentaries about about and that never ended well
- 31:21[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying that doesn't exist, but that's not even what I'm talking about though.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_00]: Like, backcountry is not bad.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_00]: It's like you have a plan of like, where you're gonna set up camp.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_00]: And the point of that is like, it's really your very self-reliant.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_00]: And also, it's just very beautiful because most of the time, like you do that so that you can set up your camp right in front of like a crazy view.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_00]: Or like beautiful.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_00]: And also, there's no one else around either.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_00]: So it's not like, oh, there's,
- 31:49[SPEAKER_00]: Sam and his six kids like over there singing songs on the fireplace.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no, I get it up here, but to me it's, it's, um, I don't know why.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like I've maybe watched too many YouTube videos about bear and counters and, you know, just out of nowhere, because you don't know what the nature is going to give you.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_02]: Like one day you might wake up and you see, I don't like, I don't like to put myself in anything that's like a little like dangerous, like the, I don't know why.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, I think I need to find my little community with that, just because I think also since I've never done something like that, I would need to be with people that have done this before.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_02]: If I go out, we're doesn't go out with someone who's done it.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like somebody who does this on the regular.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm not going to go and look at my little map.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_02]: And be like, okay, let's go left now.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_00]: Um, okay.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_00]: And then one other one, two other ones, one simple.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_00]: I would love to go on a road trip.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to go on one in the summer.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_00]: We haven't done it.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's such an easy thing to do.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't even have to be like a whole week or something.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_00]: It can be like a long weekend.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you'll leave like Thursday, midday, and then you have Friday, I've Saturday,
- 33:07[SPEAKER_02]: Where would you want to go?
- 33:08[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know somewhere on the east coast.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_02]: No, I want to do that too I just don't I want to drive far though.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like I want to drive to like Something to the east.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I mean you can add it right now.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, I'll say that it's related to the travel.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, okay I mean the last thing is also just going to an all-inclusive travel vacation
- 33:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's something that we even wanted to do, we've never done individually or obviously together to go to like a resort.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_00]: And the whole time you're there.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, in my head it needs to be somewhere in Mexico.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_00]: To be honest, I don't know why to me, it doesn't actually matter where you go because if you're just going to the resort, it's about being in the resort.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_00]: So like, I think at that
- 33:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know like it's about like the resort So I don't care where it's at because I'm not like going to explore like that place Yeah, because usually a resort is like on a beach and it's kind of the only thing there It's not like the resort is in a city Then it's just a hotel how big does a resort have to be?
- 34:16[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, but I want to go to a resort that has activities, has like several pools, like I want the whole nine, because I've never experienced that.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_00]: Like I want some white lotus vibes, but like definitely a few less dollar signs.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know why I notice where, but I'll just entirely, right?
- 34:30[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they have like several occasions.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_00]: But if with a white lotus has like four dollar signs, I want to go to the one that has two.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_00]: But what was the thing you were going to add?
- 34:40[SPEAKER_02]: something that I really really want to do and I mentioned this to you before it's getting on a train and traveling across America.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_02]: So from New York all the way to the California or probably Seattle.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_02]: And you know it's a few days, it's probably a week.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if you stop in different cities.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_00]: I mean you'd probably decide yourself what you want to do.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like the one with stopping and continuing is way more expensive than a straight shot, but then also to like, I feel like you can't just go for days without stopping.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, have you ever googled how many days does it take?
- 35:18[SPEAKER_02]: It's about a week I think.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_00]: Because I was like, this sounds kind of like, it sounds pretty baby friendly.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_02]: No, but you know how fun that would be.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm saying like it's like we could do this when we have a kid.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_02]: We have a baby.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_02]: Travelling by train is, huh?
- 35:33[SPEAKER_00]: That's a lot though.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_00]: Like, be on a train for a week.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_00]: A week?
- 35:38[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like that's so, I love traveling by train.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_00]: No, I love traveling by train.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_00]: But I need to be able to get out.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_02]: I need to be able to get out and walk a little bit, especially to go into all these different states and cities, all types of weather also, mountain, and then you get the country side, then you might go to a city.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like you would be so dope to just stop.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_02]: a little bit and then get back but like I'm making this shit up like does that even exist?
- 36:09[SPEAKER_02]: Like can you do that?
- 36:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure that you can you can do a lot of things.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_02]: I did look at tickets for that and it's like $2,000 for one ticket.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_00]: What?
- 36:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_00]: That's crazy.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_00]: That means that we just have to make content so we can expense that too because that's the same.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_02]: I mean definitely we'll be doing that but I think I would rather do something like that if I'm ever paying that much.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_02]: I would rather do something like that that's such an experience than like getting a first class ticket.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_02]: I've never been on a first class ticket on a flight every in my life.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_02]: I always want to because I actually need to feel like just for how tall I am.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_02]: If I just want to travel comfortably, like at like 100%
- 36:55[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I think at 100% comfortability, everybody needs to jump over his clothes.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody's comfortable on a plane.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_00]: Even if your time is still sitting for like 10 hours.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_02]: I would just love to lay it down and go to sleep for real.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_00]: And wake up.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my God.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_00]: Imagine like, oh my God.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_02]: If anybody works out of airplane, airline, let's do something.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_02]: Let's work out.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we can figure out some.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_00]: We can show you out right here right now.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_02]: So, I mean, are you open to the idea to travel across America with Spain?
- 37:25[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I don't know, like, across America is kind of like a big commitment, but I would love to like, take more trains.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_00]: Like, we could, we could start out with America's crazy, right?
- 37:35[SPEAKER_00]: We could start out by just going to Philly with the train, just like an hour.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, no, I love train.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_00]: I love a train.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_02]: I took a lot of trains when I was in Europe, and it's so, it's just comfortable, and you get there so fast.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's so different though.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_02]: From Anthrop to Paris, it's like, it says two hours, but I feel like I sit down, but it's how my gate, like, set up.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_02]: Like we're almost there.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I know, I hear you.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, let me charge this, let me put this up there, let me fix the chair, and then it's just like, okay, we're not in a 20 minute, I'm like, there.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so that's kind of the travel part.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_00]: Now, we have a few other sections.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_00]: Should we do, let's see, let's do,
- 38:20[SPEAKER_02]: Let me look at it.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_02]: I think we'll go.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_02]: Let me see.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_00]: You choose one more section for us to talk about.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, one more section I would say, okay, the second section here is really good.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_02]: So I want to save that like next week.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, you're like talking really far from them.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, sorry.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_02]: Let's do self care and wellness.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_02]: I'm down to do self care and wellness.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even know what we wrote under that.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, well that's why I have the phone and I will read it.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, the first thing is getting the best shapes of our lives.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, this is something that we Let's put this down a little bit.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, this is something that we said we're like, okay, let's get in the best shape of our lives before Before we get pregnant.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, now I think I brought that up
- 39:05[SPEAKER_00]: one random day specifically because I really want to be like in shape and actively like on a good routine like working out lifting weights like.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_00]: maybe even running, but specifically like lifting weights and lifting heavy, when I get pregnant.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_00]: So then when I'm pregnant, doing my pregnancy, I can continue to lift weights and now have to
- 39:37[SPEAKER_00]: or start when you start, yeah, because I know it's like sometimes people get pregnant and then and then they like are thinking about wanting to be active but they you can't start anything new.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like once you're pregnant, the doctor always says like just keep doing what you've been doing but don't start like lifting weights and if you haven't been lifting weights or don't start doing this random thing.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you want to build that habit before.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but also your body needs to be like regulated to that, you know what I mean?
- 40:05[SPEAKER_00]: Because sometimes like people get on certain like women who are pregnant that are going, they're at the gym, like pregnant pregnant.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_00]: You can see like they're, I don't know, maybe seven months in and they're like lifting weights, doing squats and like all these things like heavy lifting.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_02]: They've been doing it.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_00]: But it's like they've been doing it.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm sorry, but if
- 40:29[SPEAKER_00]: Like I'm sure that their doctor knows and the doctor said if everything like everything's looking good So you're free to do whatever you want.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so though, you know, but I see and people's like people always commenting Saying like It's crazy that you're doing this a lot
- 40:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_01]: What?
- 40:49[SPEAKER_01]: Crazy.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_01]: You're doing what?
- 40:50[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I'm sure it's not good for the baby for you to lift weights this heavy, like girl just relax.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_00]: You should just be in bed.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, I don't know.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_00]: Like if she got the energy to go in the gym and do all that letter.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's like we're always constantly like policing women's choices around everything.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_00]: I don't support that.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_00]: So I would love to just,
- 41:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's just like work out being good shape and also just in terms of like conceiving for Like especially like from the men's side.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's actually really important for the guy to like be really healthy
- 41:26[SPEAKER_02]: Watch what you eat, work out.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_00]: Don't smoke, don't drink too much, if at all.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I don't do those things.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_02]: Like the name is too, and then also another part of me is why I want to get in a best shape of my life is also because it's like two parts, one because I feel like I've never pushed myself to that limit to actually, okay, like this is my goal, and I'm gonna do it.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_02]: Like,
- 41:50[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like I'm a pretty healthy guy so I've always kind of been comfortable like if I don't work out today It's okay cool like I don't I don't feel like like I don't necessarily want to look like a certain way to me The work in our part is I'm thinking about the future like I want to get older.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_02]: I want to be able I was still when I'm 16 70 I want to be strong.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you know, but then also Whenever we are gonna be pregnant.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_02]: I want to I want to know that we're on this journey together
- 42:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you know, it's like because my body's not going to change like women go to so so much more
- 42:26[SPEAKER_00]: through it all.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and then what men do so it's like I want to I want to be there and and say, okay, let's work and I we do this together.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, what else?
- 42:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's it.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_02]: So what else we got?
- 42:42[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, this is something I wrote.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_02]: I want to get back to my skincare.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_02]: This is this is an update that you haven't seen.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_02]: I want to get my skincare back to where it was before because I started to use this product and it worked and then after my skin was as smooth as as alias skin.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, you know, I'm good.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_02]: I don't need
- 43:12[SPEAKER_02]: I don't need this product anymore because it's expensive and then guess what a month later things start to come back and I'm talking about like a pimple.
- 43:22[SPEAKER_02]: It's not even just pimples.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_02]: It's just like skin texture.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't like soft, you know what I mean?
- 43:28[SPEAKER_02]: So that kind of like, I don't like that.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm back on my product right now and I'm just waiting for it to kick back in because you can fix about like a month before.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, can get used to the new product.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_00]: So I mean, this is going to be like a continuous thing regardless of like.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_02]: And it's pretty expensive too.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_02]: That's why I also discounted the last time because it's like a subscription.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, I don't, I don't need to.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_02]: Why do I keep using a if my skin is good and then as soon as I stop it was like okay back to so it's just like I don't know what do you think it is Do you think it's just because of like my pores are bigger.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_02]: I have very like oil skin.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think everybody's skin is so different.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I do not have dry skin at all.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_02]: Like my if I don't moisturize my face It's like by noon my my face feels moisturized because it's just so oily I think that's gonna be I mean hopefully you know you get that figured out But it's not really something that I tell you you got to figure that out before we have a kid No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 44:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I hear that.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_00]: Another one is do the obvious checkups, you know, dentists, full wellness check, like, all those things.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_00]: Well, yeah, because then the next point is figure out health care, because since we are self-employed, we have to get our own health insurance here in the US.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_00]: If you didn't know, we don't have health insurance.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yay!
- 45:06[SPEAKER_00]: So we have to buy it and we actually have to buy it like kind of soon because the enrollment time is like around the new year, just coming up right now.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, we also have to get like especially my coverage I have to make sure that it includes like prenatal and then during pregnancy and like once we also have a baby then you have to ensure your baby and like how much is that gonna cost
- 45:35[SPEAKER_00]: All these things.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_00]: So like that's that's something that is like finance slash like that has to do with financials Because health insurance is really expensive But then also that comes with you know self-care and taking care of yourself.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_00]: You can't have children and not Have health insurance.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so Those are some things that have to be very very figured out and I'm also gonna throw in
- 46:03[SPEAKER_00]: Actually, we're going to keep that for the next episode.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_02]: I think there's one that had like one line in it.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_00]: Like the, the, the, the, the, yeah, the still that I was looking at, but then as I'm thinking about it, I'm like, it's a one liner, but I mean, we'll just talk about it really quickly.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_00]: The, the, the set, the next section is home.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_00]: And I feel like, I don't know, it's hard to say now because we're still, like, we're not pregnant right now.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_00]: So we're not in the, we're not like directly.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_00]: Like the way that I feel now about our home, I'm like, oh yeah, we're in one bedroom, like we're still working on our apartment to like make it feel like a home and all that.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_00]: But when we are pregnant, like, I don't know, I do think we would want to have more space.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_00]: Like at least two bedrooms definitely.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't think I want that.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_00]: You know, like it would just be good, especially because like we film and we like have the podcast and like all these things.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, I can't imagine like,
- 47:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's gonna be a lot.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, so you would want to have like extra space.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, not only want, but like we would need that.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, of course you can make do with like having a baby and like a one year old eventually in a one bedroom, because they don't need their own room.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't have my own room.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't have my old room until I was a teenager.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't have my own room until now.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_00]: And it's still not my own room.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_02]: I remember being a kid and like not having, but I love the way I grew up, but I remember not having my own room, and other kids having their own rooms, and I was just like, thank this is...
- 47:37[SPEAKER_02]: Like, this is so cool to just have your own room like you just get in your room.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, like I said, I've never said my room.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_02]: It was always like my sister, like my bed was on the one side, my sister bed was on the other side, you know?
- 47:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_02]: But I also think that's why we are also so close because we were always just like together.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, because my siblings and I had our, we were three, and we had our own room.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_00]: My dad, that room was so small, we had a bunk bed and a foldable bed.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_00]: That every day we would have to make the plant is what it's called, because like, you pay, like, you, like, fold it.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_00]: So if you fold the bed every night, every morning and you put it under the bug and bed, and then you would take it out every night and put it sheet on.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_00]: It's crazy that we slept like that.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, that's what we did in our first apartment together.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_02]: We made the bed every day.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_00]: No, yeah, but that was like a couch into a bed, I think.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_02]: But we still had to make the bed fully, not just put the blanket on it, we had to put the sheet and then the pillow were like under the couch.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but we did that for a year.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_00]: I'm talking, we did this for my entire childhood.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, I don't know, in terms of home, like what we want and like before having a kid, I don't
- 48:52[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_00]: We're not necessarily like looking to get like a home, like a house.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even know if we're ever going to get a house.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_00]: Like I would like to just get an apartment, maybe like a three bedroom apartment or something like that.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I love apartments.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_02]: It's a nice apartment in a building somewhere.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_00]: I do like a backyard, you know?
- 49:13[SPEAKER_02]: I feel the safest.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, yeah, I like it too, but I like apartment vibe too.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, good for you.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_02]: I like living like above the street.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I know.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_00]: I know about that is.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_00]: I get the, yeah.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_02]: I don't like living on the same floor as like just strangers.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_02]: Who can just be like, excuse me, would you like to sign up for this?
- 49:35[SPEAKER_00]: There is something about a home though like that's very cozy and very kind of family and like Yeah, not get it like it.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I don't know who knows, but also I think like when you have a kid It's like they're gonna be a baby for a while and it's not until they really start like school school that you kind of want to get more situated So even after you have your kid like it takes a while until you have to be more
- 50:01[SPEAKER_00]: I guess settled in my mind at least.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's way easier to move around and change where you live in stuff when the babies are young.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_00]: So they don't even have friends.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_00]: They don't really know anything yet.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_00]: So I think you're safe, even after you have your kid for the next four-ish years, you're good to kind of just keep figuring it out, which I think is a nice, like it gives you peace of mind.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_00]: OK, and then in the next episode, we're going to get into some of the other things.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_00]: We have some career things and some fun social life things.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll cover all of that in the second part of this episode that will come next week.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_00]: But thank you guys for listening.
- 50:51[SPEAKER_02]: This was great.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like we needed to do this and actually it was an important one because I feel like just talking about it makes me even realize how it's more of a bucket list now because now it's like we put it out there and we just need to like complete.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_02]: Are you listening to me?
- 51:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, sorry, I'm listening.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_00]: I just like, I ordered a, we're leaving for a trip and I ordered a adapter for the country we're going to and then now it's like at a stock.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm gonna cancel the order.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, you can do it right now.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_00]: Because the guy is texting me.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, well, you can continue what you're saying.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_02]: No, I was saying that now that we've talked about it, it makes me like I look forward to doing all those things and I feel like I don't know if we're going to be able to do all of that.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's a lot, right?
- 51:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's like, it's like it's too much.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, I think it's okay, like,
- 51:52[SPEAKER_02]: But it's good to have a plan, it's good to just at least visualize it and be like, okay, these are the things we want to do.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_00]: So let's try to do this and we might be able to do all of them and also I just think like these are it's just good.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_00]: We're very like conscious and I think like aware that this is our time before like our kid is going to be here before we like have a whole other human part of our family.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_02]: part of the wasidus community.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_00]: These are the last, this is the last year or so when it's just alia and yoni and like truly just the two of us.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_02]: And that's like forever.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_00]: yeah exactly so i think like because we've like created this list and all like we're very much talking about it and thinking about it because of that we're living more intentionally right now and we're still getting all the work done and all these things but like we're trying our best to to just i don't know like really be present in like just the fact that it's
- 53:01[SPEAKER_02]: Because sometimes you know when you have a kid when it happens it happens it's a blessing either way You're happy your life doesn't end.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_02]: I know that but I think it's also important to like Think about the moment that we're in right now and try to really like Seize the moment and and do As many of those things that we want to do while we're Wow, it's just the two of us
- 53:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I think it's something that we're not we're going to be very glad that we did Yeah, quote unquote out the way I agree So is this is saying something what is saying?
- 53:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I can't cancel the order so he's gonna deliver us Something else I don't know what
- 53:46[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, well we got it.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_02]: We got to figure this out.
- 53:48[SPEAKER_02]: Let's end this episode here.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks for listening.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_02]: Let us know in the Spotify.
- 53:54[SPEAKER_02]: If you listen to Spotify, let us know in the comments what you thought about this episode.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_02]: If there is a country that we should add to the list.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think we are pretty, we're pretty full on there.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_00]: But if you have any specific, like if you're a parent, let us know what you think about our bucket list.
- 54:12[SPEAKER_02]: It's impossible.
- 54:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we barely like touched on there's there's several other things on there that we'll get into the next episode But if you're a parent Maybe if there's like something that you wish you would have done Before you had your first child.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_02]: That's good.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_02]: That's how you end it up.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_02]: It's like let us know in the comments Yes, we we need that.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we're gonna read all of this.
- 54:34[SPEAKER_00]: So you love to hear.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_00]: So so you guys next week with part two of this of this topic
- 54:38[SPEAKER_00]: Until then, have a good rest of your week.
- 54:42[SPEAKER_02]: Have a good week, can you guys get ready to go with the Malta, do we say that?
- 54:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we're going to Malta today, we're leaving, we're getting on a plane, speaking of traveling.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_00]: But it's a, it's a work trip, so it's going to be a little bit different.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I have no idea what it's like, I didn't even know what language is spoken there.
