- 1:10the Phantom Chase Matter Now. Part six was broadcast on October twenty second on
- 1:18Monday, and Part seven was broadcast on October twenty fourth on Wednesday. And
- 1:25as I listened to the episodes, there doesn't appear to be anything missing.
- 1:30So it appears to be a case where the Tuesday tom slot was preempted.
- 1:37What four we can't say, but we can speculate pretty easily. It was
- 1:42October twenty third of a presidential election year. Even though they didn't have presidential
- 1:48debates back in nineteen fifty six. It's pretty easy to figure that somehow or
- 1:53another there was an election related preemption anyway, from October twenty second and twenty
- 1:59fourth of nine, nineteen fifty six. Here is the phantom Chase matter from
- 2:04Hollywood. It's time now for Johnny Dollar. This is Connie, mister Dollar.
- 2:13Wow, you're about the last person in the world I thought i'd be
- 2:15hearing from. What do you mean? I waited for you last night at
- 2:19the Trade Winds Bar, but you didn't show up. No, I got
- 2:22delayed in the way by a head over the head in a warehouse and up
- 2:23here. Wow. Ah, don't tell me that surprises you. Of course
- 2:28it does. Look that whole routine is yesterday about telling me where Tom Chase
- 2:31is hiding with just a decoy so he could get me down there and try
- 2:35to finish me off if that night watchman hadn't come along when he did that.
- 2:38Still, I don't know what you're talking about. Want to prove that,
- 2:40yes, but how by opening up and telling me what this is all
- 2:45about? Where are you now downstairs in the lobby. I'll be right down
- 2:54tonight and every weekday Night Bob Bailey in the transcribed Adventures of the Man with
- 3:00the Action Packed Expenser coud America's Fabulous freelance insurance Investigator, Yours Truly, Johnny
- 3:05Dell from Special Investigator Johnny Dell A location, Barbados, British West Indies to
- 3:23the Home Office Universal Adjustment Bureau, Hertford, Connecticut. Assignment the phantom chase
- 3:29matter expens a count continue it am twenty one two cents exactly what I'd have
- 3:38taken at that point to chuck the whole deal. Getting slugged on the head
- 3:43the night before was bad enough. But when I got down to the lobby
- 3:45that morning and found that Connie was nowhere in sight, I realized I was
- 3:49right back where I started from, which was nowhere. I went over at
- 3:52the desk. Yes, sir, Hey, look a girl just followed me
- 3:54from the lobby. Did you see her, yes, sir, the most
- 3:57attractive young leader. Yeah, and right now I'm most invisible young lady.
- 4:00Where'd she go? Why? I don't know? So was she alone?
- 4:03I was quite alone. She came in after be put through your room,
- 4:06and after she hung up, she sudden it turned and walked out. Oh,
- 4:10well, that's just great. You wouldn't happen to know her. I'm
- 4:13afraid that's a pleasure that's been denied me, sir. I have ever seen
- 4:15her before? Yes, once or twice? Run down? Was she with
- 4:18someone when you saw her? Sir? A woman with such an obvious charm
- 4:21is seldom alone? Yeah? Well you remember what the man she was with
- 4:26looked like? Well, only in a vague sort of way. I'm afraid
- 4:29he was a large, rather handsome, athletic looking I'd say, could we
- 4:33chase all right? Skip it? Well that's that I guess. Sorry,
- 4:39I didn't make connection, so but perhaps she'll come back. I'm not coming.
- 4:46A long time ago, I learned it in my job. It's always
- 4:49a good idea to keep in contact with the local authorities. So I decided
- 4:53to visit the Colonial Police. As of the moment, I needed a shoulder
- 4:57to do a little crying on the shoulder in this case turned out to belong
- 5:00to an inspector Whitson. Let me see if I have this thing straight,
- 5:03mister Darlan, this chap you're looking for. Tom Chase embezzled some money from
- 5:08the New York investment firm in which he was a junior park. Yeah,
- 5:11that's right, Inspector Everson, and Chase was the firm. One hundred and
- 5:14twenty thousand dollars was the amount, A hundred. Goodness, Chase must be
- 5:17rather clever swindling. Yeah, I'm pretty speedy too. He's kept two jumps
- 5:21ahead of me all the way. And you think he's traveling under the name
- 5:25of Tom Jane, I'm sure of it. And New Orleans, a man
- 5:28named Freddy Quintana told me Chase and James are one and the same, and
- 5:30showed me some handwriting to prove it. That Chase eluded you in New Orleans.
- 5:34Yeah, Quintana was going to turn him over to me for a price,
- 5:38but then he turned up dead in an alley. So your friend Chase
- 5:42is dangerous as well as clever. Why you do have your problems, don't
- 5:46you a bucketful of them, Inspector. And now you think that this Chase
- 5:50or James is hiding here in Barbada, Well, I'm pretty sure of it.
- 5:54You see, he left New Orleans in a hurry after Quintana's murder,
- 5:57understandably, but he burned some papers, not completely, and we found one
- 6:00with some numbers on it. They turned out to be about a ship sailing.
- 6:03I intercepted the ship at Haiti, but learned that Chase had gotten off
- 6:05in Havana. I see the Havannah police found out for me that he bought
- 6:10a plane ticket Hre to Barbados. And so here you are, well,
- 6:13I must say, you're persistently Oh yeah, but so far it's got me
- 6:16one big nothing. I thought about like a change when I met Connie last
- 6:20night, but apparently that was just a decoy conm hee. Yeah. Here
- 6:27here I've written on a description of her. I'd sure appreciate it if you
- 6:29could help me find him. Oh, I say, from this description it
- 6:33sounds as there it would be a pleasure to find her, wouldn't it,
- 6:36Noah, inspector, she's quite a dish. How does this Connie enter into
- 6:40the situation? Well, pretty basically, you see, nobody ever in New
- 6:44York could figure out why Chase had turned sour. His senior partner, George
- 6:47Effison was mystified, and so was Chase's wife, Lola. But I guess
- 6:51the reason was pretty obvious right from the start, except nobody wanted to face
- 6:55up to it. I take it to repair to perhaps the classic reason another
- 7:00right, I found out that Chase's New Orleans hideout had been arranged for him
- 7:03by a woman. Then last night Connie told me she knew where Chase was
- 7:06and for enough money to get back to the state. She'd tell me.
- 7:10Well, then Connie would appear to be the other woman. Huh, Yeah,
- 7:13she said she wanted out, but it turned out to be a trap.
- 7:15Oh so well, she set up a meeting for us last night,
- 7:19but on the way to it I got slugged. Oh, apparently a night
- 7:23watchman came along right afterwards. Otherwise I suppose Chase would have finished me off.
- 7:28One thing I don't get though, What's that? Well, why would
- 7:30Connie call me from the hotel lobby this morning, then duck out before I
- 7:34could get downstairs? Watch she alone when she left? According to the clerk,
- 7:38Yes, oh, I know what you're thinking, Inspector. Could be
- 7:41she still wanted to go through with a deal, but spotted Chase closing in,
- 7:44so she ducked out. Something like that. Well, mister Dona,
- 7:47it would appear you have tim it. Unless you can find Connie against timey,
- 7:50Inspector, I'm scuttled. Good afternoon, mister dolla, clerk, it's
- 8:07that girl been back, the one you'll call Connie. H No, sir,
- 8:09I've been keeping an eye out for here in the lobby, but I've
- 8:11seen no sight of it. No calls or messages for me, No,
- 8:16sir. If I see her, of course, I'll get in touch with
- 8:18you immediately. You'll be in your room. No, no, I'll I'll
- 8:22be at the Trade Winds Bar. The Trade Well, that's one of the
- 8:26waterfront bars, isn't it, mister Dollar. That's right, none of my
- 8:30business, sir, but I would be just a bit careful if how are
- 8:33you now? What's that supposed to me? Well, that part of time,
- 8:37sir, it's not the best you're telling me. I got hit over
- 8:41the head down in that part of town last night, and now are you
- 8:43going back there? Real glutton for punishment? Huh. My thought was that
- 8:56the Trade Winds Bar was as good a place to go as any of the
- 8:58moments. Connie had wanted me to meet her there last night. If she
- 9:03really was on the up and up, she might try to contact me there
- 9:05again. The Trade Winds was a typical waterfront dive. Through the swirling smoke,
- 9:15I could make out sailors, fishermen and West Indians and the tourists all
- 9:18rubbing elbows. It them twenty two fifty cents two rum punches. They came
- 9:22cheap there. Halfway through the second one, I spotted someone in the doorway,
- 9:26Connie, but then she saw me and ducked out fast. So she
- 9:31didn't want to contact me, but I sure wanted to contact her. I
- 9:35went out the side door. My hunt was right. She was trying the
- 9:37alley. I stepped in front of her. No, baby, just stay
- 9:43puts please. I don't know what this is all about, honest mister johrook,
- 9:46this is no time to start playing ky. Where's Chase? I don't
- 9:48know? Come on, please, you must believe me. I should never
- 9:54have come to you in the first place. I'm not Chase's girlfriend like you
- 9:56think. I'll try again, sister. Really, I'm telling the truth.
- 10:01I know I'd posed to you as this girl, but I'm really not.
- 10:03I was trying to work something for myself. When you started talking about murder,
- 10:09I realized I was getting involved in things I shouldn't. What are you
- 10:11talking about? Honestly, I can explain everything to you, mister Dollar.
- 10:15Okay, inside that's just what you're gonna do. Look, we'll take this
- 10:20table right here, go on, sonat all, Right now, Connie,
- 10:26let's have it, mister dollar. I want you to know I'm pretty ashamed
- 10:31of myself for what I was trying to do. It was wrong. I
- 10:35should have realized it sooner. Less editorial and more news. Huh. Well,
- 10:39I met Tom Chase, or Tom James as he calls himself here in
- 10:41Barbados a couple of days ago. A couple of days ago. You mean
- 10:45in New York a long time ago, don't you, Connie, No,
- 10:46mister Dollar, I wasn't Chase's girlfriend. I'd never seen him before two days
- 10:50ago, right here, go on. I had a date with him.
- 10:54Then I found out you'd been asking around town for him. So I decided
- 10:58on a So I found you and told you I knew where Chase was.
- 11:03You thought I was this girl, and so I went along with it.
- 11:07I was supposed to have a date with him last night here at the Trade
- 11:09Winds, but he didn't come. He was too busy hitting me over the
- 11:11head at the time. You're telling me the truth, Cunnie, I swear
- 11:15it. Then there's one big question. Why did you do it because I'm
- 11:20broke, mister Donnery, I'm stranded here in Barbados and I want to go
- 11:24back to the States. I thought you were going to put the finger on
- 11:26him for enough dough to get back to the States. Huh, I'm afraid
- 11:28that's about it. And you don't have any idea where he is now,
- 11:31none at all. Well, that's just fine. My last lead out the
- 11:33one door. I'm sorry, You're sorry. Look, did he mention his
- 11:39girlfriend to you? So he did say he was expecting a friend down here.
- 11:43They probably had a rig for her to meet him here later. He
- 11:46didn't give you any indication where he was staying. Uh, No, what
- 11:50his future plans were? No, there was one thing. What was it?
- 11:54Well, I don't know if it means anything. Well, we were
- 11:58here at the Trade Winds for a last Afterwards, we walked around the waterfront
- 12:01for a while. Yeah, Tom stopped and talked to one of the fishermen
- 12:05there for quite a while. Ah, could you hear what they were saying?
- 12:09No, they left me and went off to one side. I wasn't
- 12:11conny. Do you think you'd recognized that fisherman if you saw him again?
- 12:16Yes, I think so then come on. We went outside. There was
- 12:22sunset. A few fishermen were scattered along the walls, mending nets, getting
- 12:28their gear in shape. We gave each one of them. The one soldier
- 12:31then kept going. Suddenly Connie stopped there. He is Johnny, the one
- 12:35who's joining. Okay, thanks, you stay here, good good evening.
- 12:46He don't sound very convinced. Oh sure, it's a good evening. Soon
- 12:50it will be a good night, and then I can go to bed.
- 12:54Hey, look, i'd i'd like to ask you a couple of questions.
- 12:58Sure, sure, mind staying awake a few minutes? Is that last night?
- 13:07I walk all night? Oh? Fishing really must be got around here.
- 13:11It's not the fishing. It was a passenger, passenger who he don't
- 13:18give his name. What'd you take him? Silent? Three hours by a
- 13:24boat from here? What's there? Nothing? Nothing? A small abandoned pier
- 13:30and old abandoned house, nothing else, nobody else. You'll let him off
- 13:35there, Yes, but he should be comfortable. He took much food with
- 13:41him. You mean he's there now and there are no boats there, and
- 13:48nobody could swim so far. I see, Okay, thanks a lot pleasant.
- 14:03At this point it looked real easy, and I began to wonder if
- 14:07it wasn't a little too easy Chase. Sitting there on Lagos Island with no
- 14:11way to get off, all I had to do was hire myself a boat
- 14:13and go pick him up. I looked at the fisher. He smiled at
- 14:18me politely. I looked back at Connie. She smiled too. Yeah.
- 14:22Everything could be on the up and up, or it could be a great
- 14:26big trap. But one thing was clear. I was going to have to
- 14:31go to Lago Island to find out Johnny Dollar is Lola Chase. Johnny,
- 14:56Lola, where are you at a hotel? Over at Marisol Parissall Beach?
- 15:01You're here in Barbados. Yes, Look, when I left you in New
- 15:03Orleans, you promised to go back home to New York. I know,
- 15:05but I just couldn't stay there. Look, it's my husband you're after.
- 15:09Johnny. He's an embezzler, and according to you, he's even a murderer.
- 15:15But he's still my husband. If there's anything I can do to help
- 15:18me, Lola, the best you can do is to stay away. Sorry,
- 15:22I just can't, Johnny. Please don't try to make me, Lola.
- 15:26I'm coming over to see you. From Special Investigator Johnny Dolly, location
- 15:39Barbados, British West Indies to the Home Office Universal Adjustment Bureau, Hertford,
- 15:43Connecticut assignment. The Phanom Chase matter expense account continued. I am twenty three
- 15:54a dollar twenty American cav fed a Lola's hotel at Marisol Beach. She was
- 15:58waiting for him on the terrace. Please don't be mad at me, Johnny.
- 16:07Oh, I'm not mad, Lola. It's just that I hate to
- 16:11see you keep leading with your chin. It's the best way I know of
- 16:14to get kicked in the face. I know, after all Chase has done,
- 16:17you're still I've discovered something about me. Yeah, what do you mean?
- 16:22It does hurt to get kicked in the face. It hurts plenty,
- 16:26but you know, after a while, you get over being hurt. When
- 16:33you found out it was a woman who arranged Tom's hide up in New Orleans,
- 16:36I thought, well, it seemed like the end of the world for
- 16:38me. Up to that point, I kept trying to tell myself that the
- 16:41reason Tom had embezzled the money was because he was in trouble of some kind
- 16:45and I could help him. But I guess down deep, I knew right
- 16:52from the start it had to be another woman, and that's why I wanted
- 16:56you to go back to New York, Klola. I don't want to see
- 17:00you get hurt anymore, I know, But Johnny, I don't think I
- 17:04can be hurt anymore. Yeah, well, I wouldn't count on it.
- 17:07I mean it. When I found out there was another it ended a lot
- 17:14of things for me, and one of them was the way I used to
- 17:17feel about Tom. They're over it now, and not completely, of course,
- 17:22but things are different with me now then. I still don't get why
- 17:26you came down here. I still want to help Tom if it's humanly possible,
- 17:30don't you see. Let's say I feel obligated to because of the way
- 17:36things used to be. Does that make sense, Johnny? Yeah? I
- 17:42guess well, I gotta be going al It looks like your husband has holed
- 17:48up on an island about three hours from here. Is he? How right?
- 17:52I wouldn't know. I haven't been close enough to find out except once,
- 17:56and that once got me a lump on the head. What do you
- 17:57mean? Oh? So I ran into a girl named Connie thought she was
- 18:02Tom's friend. She offered to locate him for me. I guess he was
- 18:06following and caught up with me down at the waterfront. He attacked. Yeah.
- 18:10Then it turned out the girl was only trying to promote herself a trip
- 18:12back to the States. She knew I was looking for Chase. She had
- 18:15a data two with him, so she saw a chance to make some money.
- 18:18How did you find out where Tom's hiding? The girl heard him talking
- 18:22to a fisherman. She pointed him out to me. He told me he'd
- 18:25taken Chase to Lagos Island. Be fisherman's on the level. It looks like
- 18:29the case is just about wand up, and if he isn't it could be
- 18:33another trap. But with luck, I should be back by dark with your
- 18:37husband. I'll be waiting in John Expencer count Adam twenty four nine fifteen Long
- 18:48Distance called to Chase a senior partner, George Everson in New York. I
- 18:52figured he ought to know that Lula was down here in Barbados, there,
- 18:57mister Dollar. I thought she was right here at home in New York.
- 19:00No, she just arrived this morning. But this is no good having her
- 19:03there. It just means more painful. She says she's over that part of
- 19:07it. You don't know, Lola. I don't think she'll ever be over
- 19:11Tom Chase. It's a dollar. I'm going to take the first plane to
- 19:15Barbados and bring Lola back to New York with me. Yeah. I think
- 19:17that's a good idea, mister Everson. This time, maybe you can make
- 19:21us stay. Things can get a little rough around here, and i'd just
- 19:23as soon as she was somewhere else rough. Johnny, you've vocated change,
- 19:29I think so. Well. Look, maybe if I came down right away,
- 19:32I could persuade him to give himself up. Afraid it's a little too
- 19:33late for that, mister Reverson. It looks like Chase is hold up on
- 19:37a deserted island. I'm leaving in a few minutes to pick him up.
- 19:40He doesn't know you're coming. That's what I'm gonna find out. See you
- 19:42when I get back. I hope. I am twenty five thirty bucks rental
- 19:48on a power cruiser I wanted when I could handle a loan on one with
- 19:52a radio. After I had arrange for it, I told the owner to
- 19:56get it ready. Well. I paid a visit to inspect a woodsit at
- 19:57Colonial Police Headquarters, Lagos Island. That's where this chap Chase is hiding.
- 20:03Yeah, it looks like it according to this chart I have. It's about
- 20:07three hours out. Yes, that's tobit, I should think. How do
- 20:10you find out that Chase was there? Well? I finally located that girl,
- 20:12Connie, who'd pull the disappearing act on me. Not good. Turns
- 20:17out she isn't Chases girl after all. Oh, at least I don't think
- 20:19she is. But she'd heard him talking to a fisherman. She pointed out
- 20:23the fisherman and he told me he'd taken Chase to Lagos Island. I wonder
- 20:26him, that's all. Oh, doesn't the whole story is on just a
- 20:30wee bit pat to you. Yeah, and that's just what's worrying me.
- 20:33This whole deal could be a trap. Connie could still be Chase's girl,
- 20:38and that fisherman could be in on the deal too, in which case you
- 20:41could be in for a bit of trouble at Lagos Island. Well, there's
- 20:44one way to find out, inspecting, but let's hope it's not the wrong
- 20:47way. What do you know about Lagos, Well, it's fairly flat,
- 20:51pretty heavy, underbrush, the small cove with a rickety pier and on an
- 20:56abandoned hus on the other side of the eyeld anyone living on the island,
- 20:59I mean other than Chase, No, not that I know arg where.
- 21:02He used to be rather good sport fishing out there, but that died down
- 21:03a couple of years ago. Oh, I doctor, anyone's been near the
- 21:07place in quite a while. I see, Look, inspect I'd like you
- 21:11to do me a favorite, he said, Well, I've got a radio
- 21:14on the boat I runed. My call letter is a six x three.
- 21:17Now here's a description of the fisherman on this boat. I'd appreciate it if
- 21:21you could have one of your men keep an eye on him and radio to
- 21:22me if he puts out the sea after I did very well. Of course,
- 21:26even if he did put to see it wouldn't necessarily prove that he was
- 21:29working with Chase and was going after you. He might just be going fishing.
- 21:33Oh sure, Just one thing, though, Inspector, I don't want
- 21:36to be the fish. I went down to the waterfront. My boat was
- 21:41already so I went a board and shoved out one side of the harbor.
- 21:48I set my course for Lago's out. The boat was equipped with a rig
- 21:52for lashing of wheel on position, sort of an automatic pilot, so I
- 21:56snapped it in place and started down into the cabin, and then I saw
- 22:00that Kevin was occupied. Lola, Hello, John Oh great for two cents.
- 22:08I knew you turned back and put me ashore, But please don't.
- 22:11I can't, but only because I can't afford to take the time. But
- 22:15if you think I like the idea of your stowing away, you're crazy.
- 22:18Do you mind telling me why you did it? For a very good reason?
- 22:21Well, that's happened. Tom obviously doesn't want to be found. I
- 22:23think he's made that clear enough. And you, well, here the kind
- 22:26who doesn't stop until you finish your job. So that being the way things
- 22:32are, Johnny, somebody could get hurt, and I couldn't stand that.
- 22:38I thought that maybe if I came, there wouldn't be any vio. Oh
- 22:42look, Lola, Chase isn't going to get hurt if you'll just be sensible.
- 22:45I wasn't only thinking of Tom. I wouldn't want you to get hurt
- 22:52either, Johnny. I've thought thought about you a lot, But how wonderful
- 23:00you've been to me. It's funny. What is oh just that if things
- 23:06were different maybe you and I maybe, but things never are different, Lolan,
- 23:11I know. Are you sure that's the reason you came along? What
- 23:18do you mean they wouldn't buy any chance? Be because you want to help
- 23:21Tom Chase, help him. I told you, Johnny, if there's anything
- 23:23I can do to help you, I want to. That's why I came
- 23:27up. I mean, help him get away from me. Thanks for your
- 23:33very charming opinion of me. It's wonderful knowing that's the way you feel.
- 23:37Look, Lola, whatever my own private opinions and feelings are are might be
- 23:41sometimes I have to file them away and concentrate on the way things look.
- 23:45When the time comes, Johnny, you'll see that that isn't the way it
- 23:51is at all. I hope so, because the time could be pretty soon.
- 23:55From Barbeter's control six x three, from Barbado's control, Oh, Bob,
- 24:00that's a six x three. Go ahead, This is inspector what's that
- 24:03dollar? Oh? Yes, inspected. The fisherman in question left the harbor
- 24:07about tenty minutes up. You did, You may be following you be careful,
- 24:11I'll try, believe me. Thanks, inspector. Oh, right out.
- 24:15What does that mean, Johnny? It means that this Lagos Island deal
- 24:18could be a tramp Oh, what are you going to do? Find out?
- 24:22What else? We kept going. A couple of hours later we started
- 24:32the island. There's no sign of life, and I headed for the Legedy
- 24:36Pier. There was nobody inside, so we went to shore inspector what'son?
- 24:45Had said the house was on the other side of the island, So we
- 24:47started through the underbrush. Half of dance in here, that sure is How
- 24:55far is it across the island, Johnny? Oh? About a mile?
- 24:57I think is there anything over there? A deserted house, although it's probably
- 25:03not deserted? Now easy through here. This stuff is pretty rough for me.
- 25:10But if Tom won't give himself up, will you let me talk to
- 25:15him? Oh? I don't know. I'm not going to take any chances
- 25:18with you, Lola. You mean you still think I might try to help
- 25:19him escape? I mean he could be pretty dangerous right now. Oh,
- 25:23he'd never turn on me, Janet, don't count on it. I remember
- 25:26a guy named Freddy Quintana who tried to turn him in back in New Orleans.
- 25:30Freddie wound up dead. No. I still can't believe Tom had anything
- 25:33to do with that. He's not the type Jannet. He were saying,
- 25:38Lola, where did he come from? Who knows? In this underbrush?
- 25:42Come on down on the delly. He's shooting wild. He mustn't be able
- 25:49to see us. What do we do? Walk away along with Delly and
- 25:52keep as quiet as possible. Maybe we can spot him from the other end.
- 25:56Keep him on, Johnny, your gun? You're you're not going to
- 26:00try to shoot him. You think he's trying to shake hands with us?
- 26:07It's sticking here. Can you see anything at all? Oh? Nothing?
- 26:11Hold it a minute, mesh, how does sound? Now? Look?
- 26:18You better stay right here, Lola. This is a fairly shelved spot.
- 26:21You'll be safe. What are you going to do? Break him down?
- 26:22Johnny? How do you know it's Tom? I don't. I don't,
- 26:26But whoever it is is sure and not hanging the welcome man out for us.
- 26:30I'm funny that way, Lola. I don't like getting shot at now.
- 26:32You stay here, Jenny. It's still wild. From a different direction.
- 26:37That sounded from behind us to at the beach. Well, they must
- 26:38have circled around us. Hey, what's the beach? Oh, brother,
- 26:44is this a sucker play? He's heading for our both time, we took
- 26:48off through the underbrush, heading for the beach, and there was slow going.
- 26:52Mines kept grabbing our legs. The footing was bad. Then we finally
- 26:56came out into the opening. I saw my hunt was right. He started
- 27:00the book and was pulling away. By the time we got to the pier,
- 27:03he was heading out to see hot range. He turned and looked back
- 27:08at us over his shoulder. Johnny, it's Tom, It is Tom.
