This week, Trump posted that the only AI guardrail this country needs is him — "a STRONG AND SMART (High IQ!) PRESIDENT" — then called AI safety concerns a "SICK conspiracy." Days earlier, Obama privately told Hakeem Jeffries that AI power sitting in "private hands" could be dangerous, and floated a "framework for a very public conversation" — once Democrats win back the House. Neither one answered the only question that matters: when this technology makes somebody a trillionaire, does anything come back to the people whose data and labor built the value?
