- 0:17Speaker 2: My god, So what does that mean? Does that mean
- 0:18Speaker 2: that the album is loading?
- 0:20Speaker 1: The album is still loading. It's a continuation.
- 0:22Speaker 2: So this is the loading screen, this this project. Yeah, Bro,
- 0:24Speaker 2: just when you played the PlayStation one screen.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Well, yeah, what you know about PlayStation one?
- 0:29Speaker 2: Bro, I'm thirty seven years old.
- 0:31Speaker 1: I'm just saying everything. I'm a big PlayStation I'm a
- 0:34Speaker 1: PlayStation ahead. Bro.
- 0:36Speaker 2: I know, bro, that was the system. I mean, look,
- 0:37Speaker 2: my first system was a Metal Gear Grants. Metal Gear
- 0:40Speaker 2: is my favorite game ever.
- 0:42Speaker 1: You know, Metal Give is my favorite game ever. No way,
- 0:44Speaker 1: Metal Gives game ever.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Yes, Bro, When I was a little kid playing Metal
- 0:47Speaker 2: Gear and I had to fight Psychomantis.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Bro, and you gotta unplugged report put in the other
- 0:52Speaker 1: porty Okay, you wanted to want to know?
- 0:55Speaker 2: That was the craziest mind blowing thing you ever had
- 0:59Speaker 2: to do to beat some Yo.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Listen, I've actually brought that moment up a lot when
- 1:02Speaker 1: I talk to people about like art and creativity and
- 1:05Speaker 1: ship and I'm like, yo, one of the most creative
- 1:06Speaker 1: things I've ever seen.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Was because how could you figure that out?
- 1:10Speaker 1: Yo? Figured it out is one thing. How could you
- 1:12Speaker 1: make that up? That's a different thing. But like, imagine
- 1:15Speaker 1: that's how.
- 1:16Speaker 2: I'm at home with no Internet, like how do you
- 1:18Speaker 2: beat this crazy guy?
- 1:20Speaker 1: That's how I'm seeing as an artist, as a creative,
- 1:22Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Like I look at Dao
- 1:23Speaker 1: in the way he move and think, I'm like, yo,
- 1:25Speaker 1: like like how do you think to do that? You
- 1:27Speaker 1: know what I mean?
- 1:28Speaker 2: I love you know, I love that part of the
- 1:29Speaker 2: Metal gear Head as I am. I only played the
- 1:31Speaker 2: first two, Oh bro, so I never played you have
- 1:37Speaker 2: to play. I was gonna say that's the one that
- 1:38Speaker 2: you never played Snake Eater. I just got to the
- 1:40Speaker 2: point where I was just like, you gotta play Snakeator.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Time was like, but the first Metal Gear Solid is
- 1:45Speaker 2: my number one game.
- 1:46Speaker 1: It's incredible though, it's incredible. I think it's the best,
- 1:49Speaker 1: probably the best video game.
- 1:50Speaker 2: And it holds up still to this day.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Yeah, great quality, Yeah, shots and you're solid. So you're
- 1:56Speaker 2: like you're like specifically passionate about PlayStation games.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Yeah, big PlayStation head for sure. Yeah, never had like
- 2:03Speaker 1: a Dreamcast or nah. I mean you know what with
- 2:08Speaker 1: Nintendo now. Dreamcast to me was.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Like no, Dreamcast had some ship based I was like, nah,
- 2:13Speaker 2: you know what I liked about Dreamcast is when they
- 2:15Speaker 2: knew they were going out, everything was so cheap. So
- 2:18Speaker 2: you get a Dreamcast with all the games, Like the
- 2:19Speaker 2: games are like fucking a penny at some places. I had, uh,
- 2:24Speaker 2: Sega Saturn.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Sega Saturn was cool. I like, I like like, I
- 2:28Speaker 1: like the concept of it, bro. But yeah they did it.
- 2:31Speaker 1: They did everything better PlayStation for sure.
- 2:34Speaker 2: All Right, so uh you obviously were you just at
- 2:36Speaker 2: dream deal Fest?
- 2:37Speaker 1: I did, man, I did go. I attended, actually popped
- 2:40Speaker 1: out of my boy Loot said it was a challenging
- 2:43Speaker 1: of course, one of the best North Carolina. You already
- 2:46Speaker 1: know seven o four, so.
- 2:47Speaker 2: You had help, you would help. What did you contribute
- 2:51Speaker 2: to the new Cold might delete this later project?
- 2:53Speaker 1: I helped write the hook on the intro on on
- 2:55Speaker 1: Pricey Lennix's hook She's crazy, amazing, amazing, directed some videos
- 3:00Speaker 1: for her before too. She's She's a great. Shout out
- 3:03Speaker 1: to Ari.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Lenny super nice too, and like you running her in
- 3:05Speaker 2: public and you'd be like, you're here by yourself. Yo.
- 3:09Speaker 1: She showed up to the video I directed for her
- 3:12Speaker 1: the same way.
- 3:12Speaker 2: That's all right, some show and she was just in
- 3:14Speaker 2: the cut, just hanging out and I was like, M sorry,
- 3:16Speaker 2: seven eleven right here in North Hollywood, like you just
- 3:18Speaker 2: be rolling around like a normal person. She ain't already.
- 3:21Speaker 1: She cool? She the coolest. Yeah. Yeah, that's a great hook.
- 3:25Speaker 1: By the way, Thank you. Shout out to daveon Cole
- 3:28Speaker 1: right on that.
- 3:29Speaker 2: I got to ask you when when Cole apologized on stage,
- 3:31Speaker 2: that's your man's m did you know that was going
- 3:34Speaker 2: to happen? And I had to ask you about it?
- 3:36Speaker 2: You were there, Yeah, that's your guy. What were your
- 3:39Speaker 2: thoughts on the whole thing? Because I'm on the I'm
- 3:41Speaker 2: in the minority space where I actually respected it.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, I mean to me, bro, any any
- 3:47Speaker 1: grown man that's going to just do what he feel
- 3:49Speaker 1: rather than what he's pressured into. I just I'm a
- 3:51Speaker 1: respected you know what I mean. It's just simple like that,
- 3:53Speaker 1: Like ninety percent of niggas in the world, like are
- 3:56Speaker 1: just doing things that people pressure them into. Grown ass
- 3:59Speaker 1: adults are pressured in to doing things, so I think
- 4:01Speaker 1: that's interesting. But yeah, you know, I respect him for
- 4:04Speaker 1: doing what he felt like.
- 4:06Speaker 2: You know, I would tell people like, man, like in
- 4:07Speaker 2: hip hop, we get so conditioned and like charged up
- 4:13Speaker 2: by people and not by but it doesn't always necessarily
- 4:17Speaker 2: have to be how you feel. But it's like the
- 4:19Speaker 2: people around you. The noise will get you charged up
- 4:22Speaker 2: and get you in a space that ain't even like
- 4:23Speaker 2: really where you are, you know what I'm saying. So
- 4:25Speaker 2: when he said that, I was like I was at
- 4:27Speaker 2: WrestleMania in the back of the Uber leaving Many. I
- 4:28Speaker 2: was like, oh shit. But I was like, Brian respected
- 4:31Speaker 2: because I feel like Kohle's been moving a certain way
- 4:34Speaker 2: for so long and you know, hey, man, like you
- 4:39Speaker 2: got to respect any man his self aware enough to
- 4:41Speaker 2: know like this energy for me is not like fuck
- 4:45Speaker 2: all this other shit like I'm trying to be.
- 4:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna go to sleep at night, you know what
- 4:47Speaker 1: I mean? You know, I mean Vince Stables had an
- 4:51Speaker 1: interesting perspective on it. I saw I think he called
- 4:53Speaker 1: in maybe the Joe Budden or something like that, and
- 4:56Speaker 1: he was just like, like, how we not talking about
- 4:58Speaker 1: music publishing. He write his hell like, I'm like, damn,
- 5:01Speaker 1: Like just people just get ried up over all these
- 5:03Speaker 1: different things that don't have shit to do with like
- 5:06Speaker 1: us having ownership over what we have or like right,
- 5:08Speaker 1: it's just so hilarious the thing. You know, obviously now
- 5:12Speaker 1: is it entertaining? Yes, obviously, of course this whole thing
- 5:14Speaker 1: is entertaining. That's that's the way that they work, you know.
- 5:17Speaker 1: I feel like controversy is like entertaining, you know what
- 5:19Speaker 1: I'm saying.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I remember talking about Punch and I was like,
- 5:22Speaker 2: I saw Punch last last week, you know, two weeks ago.
- 5:24Speaker 2: I saw abut the iHeart of words. We're just shooting
- 5:26Speaker 2: the shit, yeah, And I was like, man, I know
- 5:30Speaker 2: Cole is going to be the one to respond, because
- 5:32Speaker 2: Cole is like a fucking gladiator, like he gets this shit.
- 5:35Speaker 2: But I was like, but damn, Dreamville Fest is next week,
- 5:38Speaker 2: and school Boy Q's on it and Sis, I'm like
- 5:41Speaker 2: everyone's friends, Like, like, I don't know if there's a
- 5:44Speaker 2: more tighter crew than like the dream Build TV crew
- 5:46Speaker 2: over the years, and like those two guys specifically have
- 5:49Speaker 2: always moved with like in a certain way that's never
- 5:52Speaker 2: been goofy. So I was like, I just hope whatever happens,
- 5:55Speaker 2: like they just come out on the other side of it,
- 5:56Speaker 2: like and everything's all good. So I'm glad to see
- 5:59Speaker 2: that that at the very least is probably going to
- 6:01Speaker 2: be the case. So but uh, for you, man, like,
- 6:04Speaker 2: what's it like? Because you obviously I remember you back
- 6:06Speaker 2: in the day popping up on like two Dope Boys,
- 6:10Speaker 2: and you were like pretty active in that. I would say,
- 6:13Speaker 2: with the latter end of the blog era, is that
- 6:15Speaker 2: fair to say? Y?
- 6:16Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, I was like watching it when I was
- 6:18Speaker 1: in school. I was like watching the blog era, you
- 6:20Speaker 1: know what I mean. It was like happening, you know,
- 6:21Speaker 1: around that time Cold put out, like the warm up
- 6:23Speaker 1: all this stuff. Like I was in school still, you
- 6:25Speaker 1: know what I mean. But it was cool though, because yeah,
- 6:28Speaker 1: like right, like you said, like right at the end
- 6:30Speaker 1: of it, like I started sending emails out trying to
- 6:32Speaker 1: like getting on Two Dope Boys and shout out to.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Shake Shake, and I just saw me at WrestleMania.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. They put some of my
- 6:40Speaker 1: first like little projects online.
- 6:42Speaker 2: You know.
- 6:42Speaker 1: I did this EP with Crisis producer from North Carolina. Yeah,
- 6:46Speaker 1: we did this EP of The King's Crisis and that
- 6:48Speaker 1: joint was like it was like my first time on
- 6:50Speaker 1: the blog. So I was like, oh, this is hard.
- 6:52Speaker 1: You know, people wrote about it, talked about it.
- 6:53Speaker 2: And people understand like the blog shit was like they're
- 6:56Speaker 2: like real A and rs real. Yeah, motherfuckers, like they
- 6:59Speaker 2: had to fuck with your shit and if they posted
- 7:01Speaker 2: your ship it could like really change your life.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Yeah. Man, it was funny. I mean it's it's so
- 7:05Speaker 1: similar to like there's blogs now that exist. They just
- 7:08Speaker 1: have a different form, different name, you know what I mean.
- 7:10Speaker 1: A lot of it is just people find find a
- 7:12Speaker 1: way to get they taste to be a popular thing,
- 7:15Speaker 1: you know, find a way to do that. You could
- 7:17Speaker 1: sell pretty much anything. Yeah.
- 7:19Speaker 2: So obviously because I know you had like had that
- 7:22Speaker 2: run like making music and then you started to kind
- 7:24Speaker 2: of become more behind the scenes shooting videos. What was
- 7:28Speaker 2: the first kind of big video that you were able
- 7:31Speaker 2: to direct?
- 7:31Speaker 1: And I mean the first video director that all was
- 7:33Speaker 1: the Middle Child video for j Cole Okay, so that.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Was like more Ray I was like about four years ago.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Five years ago was that.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Yeah, Yeah, this was my first video project ever at all,
- 7:44Speaker 1: you know, like that I was like, oh, I'm in
- 7:47Speaker 1: charge of like the visuals.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Yeah, what was like, because if that's your first one
- 7:52Speaker 2: for Cold to trust you to do his video, you
- 7:55Speaker 2: know what I mean? Like, what was it about what
- 7:57Speaker 2: you were doing that made him comfortable you think to
- 8:00Speaker 2: let you take the reins.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Man you know what's funny man him like some other
- 8:03Speaker 1: people around me, but obviously with him it was like
- 8:05Speaker 1: a real big deal. Has seen in me a lot,
- 8:09Speaker 1: maybe even more than I even knew about myself creatively,
- 8:12Speaker 1: because I have ideas. I'm really good at describing the
- 8:14Speaker 1: idea that people are like a visual or the way
- 8:17Speaker 1: I see something, you know, like it's a storytelling talent
- 8:20Speaker 1: that probably came from music that started in writing songs.
- 8:24Speaker 1: But then the attention of detail with me just is
- 8:26Speaker 1: just so high and a lot of things like it
- 8:29Speaker 1: just made it easier for me to articulate what I
- 8:31Speaker 1: wanted to see. And I think that's probably how that's
- 8:34Speaker 1: I don't know. I just came to him with ideas.
- 8:35Speaker 1: I'd be like, yo, I want to shoot a video
- 8:36Speaker 1: idea for myself like this, or one day him I
- 8:39Speaker 1: told him about a movie idea I had. He was like, bro,
- 8:41Speaker 1: this is like a real like a good ass movie
- 8:43Speaker 1: idea or whatever, and eventually, you know, it turned into
- 8:49Speaker 1: I was at Dreamville camp, you know what I mean,
- 8:53Speaker 1: revengeal the Dreamers camp. Yeah, yeah, you know we put
- 8:56Speaker 1: the I did like I end up on like three
- 8:58Speaker 1: songs on there and then it so you're Grammy nominated,
- 9:01Speaker 1: Grammy nominated. Yes, yes, sir, you had a little bell out,
- 9:05Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. Grammy dominated. Yeah, And so
- 9:10Speaker 1: him and T minus was like in the back and
- 9:12Speaker 1: it was working on Middle Child. I remember they was
- 9:14Speaker 1: going back and forth over the bpm like one bpm,
- 9:17Speaker 1: like arguing. They were not even arguing, just like debating
- 9:20Speaker 1: about the one bpm. And I remember sitting in the back.
- 9:22Speaker 1: He asked me what I thought. I was like, this
- 9:23Speaker 1: is hard and then called me like a week later, like, Yo,
- 9:26Speaker 1: what you think about writing the video idea? I was like,
- 9:28Speaker 1: you gotta let me direct it though if I write it,
- 9:30Speaker 1: And he was like, all right, next thing, you know,
- 9:33Speaker 1: half a million dollar video? Yeah? Crazy, Yeah, that's crazy.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Yo. Were you in the camp when like the Milwaukee
- 9:41Speaker 2: Bucks pulled up or Chris Bosh was there?
- 9:43Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I met Janni's for the first for
- 9:45Speaker 1: the only time really, like he was right behind me
- 9:47Speaker 1: getting macaroni and cheese in the line. Bro Yo, Revenge
- 9:51Speaker 1: camp was like crazy.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Well I heard Chris Bosh was playing beats and like
- 9:54Speaker 2: the bucks were just hanging and yeah, yeah, yeah that
- 9:59Speaker 2: had to be fucking wild, like you're just like working
- 10:01Speaker 2: on music. Then all of a sudden, Giannis.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Is it was crazy. Chris Bosh was tall as hell,
- 10:07Speaker 1: just walked in with the laptop unfolded. That bitch, like,
- 10:10Speaker 1: what's I got some heat? Yeah?
- 10:11Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, it's gotta be nice to be
- 10:13Speaker 2: Chris Bosh because like, no matter what, people gonna let
- 10:15Speaker 2: you play beats, you got to tell Chris Bosh No.
- 10:18Speaker 1: I mean I don't know, man, I think I don't
- 10:20Speaker 1: know people. How was his beat? I wasn't really like
- 10:23Speaker 1: in the room. Why he laughed, that's crazy, yo, My
- 10:28Speaker 1: man just started laughing. No, I wasn't in the room
- 10:30Speaker 1: really when who he was playing his beat?
- 10:32Speaker 2: Nah? What was your most like, uh, the most fun
- 10:35Speaker 2: memory about those sessions because we always hear so many
- 10:38Speaker 2: different versions of like how crazy they were, because I
- 10:41Speaker 2: think it was like a legendary that you people are
- 10:43Speaker 2: getting like these invites.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Yeah, and you'd have to fly out, and I mean
- 10:47Speaker 1: it was crazy, man, it was funny. It was like
- 10:49Speaker 1: at one point, at some point, I think maybe it
- 10:51Speaker 1: was Felting or Adam, one of them made the yellow
- 10:53Speaker 1: ticket concept, you know what I mean, because it was
- 10:55Speaker 1: just inviting people at first, and then they started sending
- 10:57Speaker 1: out a yellow ticket and then people start posting on
- 10:59Speaker 1: their social media, so it was like some Willy Wonka
- 11:01Speaker 1: shit already, like Nigga's like, oh yo, I got this
- 11:04Speaker 1: yellow tick. You see a rapper, you know, a producer
- 11:06Speaker 1: you know, or somebody get the thing. And it just
- 11:08Speaker 1: started already just creating like a sneaky little like legend
- 11:11Speaker 1: about it, you know, around LA or wherever you was at.
- 11:14Speaker 1: And the next thing, you know, people just started just
- 11:16Speaker 1: flying out there. And you know, I remember getting invited.
- 11:19Speaker 1: I was like, yo, I'm gonna go out there like
- 11:21Speaker 1: NAS songs, you know, and it was just fun, a
- 11:24Speaker 1: little competitive. It was like it was good, Like the
- 11:27Speaker 1: nature of the whole thing was good.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Yo. Being from North Carolina, like obviously I grew up
- 11:33Speaker 2: being like a really really really huge little brother had
- 11:36Speaker 2: Like I got to see them live. I think I
- 11:41Speaker 2: went I saw them live the Minstrel Show tour. I
- 11:45Speaker 2: think it was them and dilated people's And then I've
- 11:49Speaker 2: seen Fonte when he was doing.
- 11:51Speaker 1: His shout out to Little brother Man.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Yeah, Little Brothers just like up there. Do you feel
- 11:55Speaker 2: like and they just put out a dope documentary on YouTube?
- 11:59Speaker 2: Do you feel like and Holland Yeah? Do you feel
- 12:01Speaker 2: like they get like their respect? Like somehow I feel
- 12:06Speaker 2: like they've kind of like became like not forgotten. But
- 12:09Speaker 2: I'm like, man, these motherfuckers really like like Fonte is
- 12:12Speaker 2: like really like one of the greatest, Like you know
- 12:14Speaker 2: what I'm saying.
- 12:14Speaker 1: I mean, look, you're talking about them right now. You
- 12:16Speaker 1: just brought them up in an interview, you know what
- 12:18Speaker 1: I mean. Like I'm saying, like when you're growing up
- 12:20Speaker 1: like being a kid. Yeah, yeah, for sure. I think that.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Obviously it wasn't the first thing I found or that
- 12:26Speaker 1: I had heard, But that's what I like about good
- 12:28Speaker 1: art bro, and really good artists and stuff like that.
- 12:31Speaker 1: It's like like, yeah, bro, Like even if you know
- 12:34Speaker 1: you're not talking about them on like a scale that's
- 12:36Speaker 1: like I don't know, like uh, stadiums or selling out
- 12:40Speaker 1: like Arenaturs or something like that, you still bring them
- 12:44Speaker 1: up for some reason, right, And it's because you know,
- 12:46Speaker 1: and I know that like deep down inside, just like
- 12:48Speaker 1: some of the highest quality like shit, you know what
- 12:51Speaker 1: I mean. It's these artists, you know. That's the cool
- 12:53Speaker 1: thing about about art. And what I also realized about
- 12:55Speaker 1: art is because it's something that don't really exist in
- 12:58Speaker 1: like space and time, like you know, Boski I got
- 13:01Speaker 1: lit after he died, like which obviously rested recipes. I
- 13:03Speaker 1: don't want that for nobody, but I just think, like
- 13:05Speaker 1: you just never know when something might, you know, imagine
- 13:08Speaker 1: your life is crazy, like good art.
- 13:10Speaker 2: Will find you fe linerations later years.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Later, stranger things like sample day, what's that? What's the
- 13:15Speaker 1: lady song? From the seventies?
- 13:17Speaker 2: Something bush right? They put it and then it ended
- 13:21Speaker 2: up going to top forty radio like thirty.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Years to one hundred. Yeah, with the Master of the Puppets.
- 13:25Speaker 2: The Metallica song like they used it on that scene
- 13:28Speaker 2: and that ship just became like a top ten on
- 13:31Speaker 2: Spotify all of a sudden.
- 13:32Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. It's crazy, like the whole you know,
- 13:35Speaker 1: it's interesting to find a way to like to do that,
- 13:38Speaker 1: like make something that that's standing test of time. In
- 13:40Speaker 1: that way.
- 13:41Speaker 2: On this EP, you got the homie Isaiah shot is
- 13:43Speaker 2: shad uh shout out to Leon Bridges. You got Saint
- 13:47Speaker 2: John on there.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:50Speaker 2: For you, like, uh, how long have you been working
- 13:53Speaker 2: on the actual album that's coming and how did you
- 13:55Speaker 2: pick between like these are for the EPH, this is
- 13:59Speaker 2: the this is the same or platter? Yeah, before the entre?
- 14:02Speaker 1: Yeah for sure. I mean the EP songs were songs
- 14:04Speaker 1: that I had that I knew I wanted to see
- 14:06Speaker 1: the light of day. A couple of them are like newer,
- 14:08Speaker 1: but for the most part its songs that I knew.
- 14:10Speaker 1: It was like I was like, yeah, I just want
- 14:11Speaker 1: to get a palette together or palate cleanser together for people,
- 14:15Speaker 1: so you know when it's time for me to start
- 14:16Speaker 1: putting my album music out there really like you know
- 14:19Speaker 1: what's up? Or like you know, it's like a like
- 14:21Speaker 1: a great wrong way to the album project honestly, if
- 14:23Speaker 1: I'm being real, right, Yea, the album got like some
- 14:25Speaker 1: crazy everything features music everything.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Boss little Boss hook, Yo, Hey, it's been cooking on
- 14:35Speaker 2: these nice bro.
- 14:36Speaker 1: He's nice bro.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Yeah, But I told him, I was like, sohow you
- 14:39Speaker 2: made this tra from like wrapping your ass off to
- 14:41Speaker 2: like making these crazy melodic fucking hooks.
- 14:44Speaker 1: And people going to sing along. Anyway, it's that part,
- 14:47Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. Sure, shout out to Boss.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Do you feel like kind of being like extended Dreamville?
- 14:52Speaker 1: Like?
- 14:52Speaker 2: Uh, did they ever try to like actually like submit
- 14:55Speaker 2: an offer to you to bring you on like officially
- 14:57Speaker 2: as an artist? I know you're a massive peal, but
- 14:59Speaker 2: like did that ever?
- 15:00Speaker 1: You know what's funny, bro is like a story a
- 15:02Speaker 1: lot of people don't know. It's like the way I
- 15:04Speaker 1: met him only played my music for Cole. Shout out
- 15:07Speaker 1: to owmen play my music for Cold like a long
- 15:08Speaker 1: time ago, and then first guy on dream Bill. Right ever,
- 15:13Speaker 1: Omen was the first guy. Right, maybe he was the
- 15:16Speaker 1: first guy. Maybe makes sense, you know, I know they
- 15:18Speaker 1: go way back. But Amen played my music for Coal
- 15:20Speaker 1: and then Cole like heard it and texted me. This
- 15:24Speaker 1: was like right after this first album had came out,
- 15:26Speaker 1: you know, and like I'm supposed to be in college, like,
- 15:29Speaker 1: you know, me and my little brother you got an
- 15:30Speaker 1: apartment in Raleigh together, Like my mom had just passed
- 15:33Speaker 1: not too long before that, and so we were just
- 15:35Speaker 1: kind of like figuring a bunch of shit out and
- 15:38Speaker 1: I just got this text out of nowhere, like, Yo,
- 15:39Speaker 1: there's j Cole, like y'all want to meet you end
- 15:42Speaker 1: up flying to Raleigh, like to North Carolina to meet me,
- 15:44Speaker 1: came to a studio and everything. Yeah, and so that's
- 15:47Speaker 1: like how we met each other, you know what I mean.
- 15:49Speaker 1: It's still like pictures and videos from that time. He
- 15:51Speaker 1: produced a song that was on like one of my
- 15:53Speaker 1: early mixstapes. Gave me a beat.
- 15:54Speaker 2: God, we need more cold beats man, that high power power.
- 15:57Speaker 1: I was about to say, I was about to bring
- 15:58Speaker 1: up high Power yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, so we
- 16:01Speaker 1: need more more came more Krit beats for the record.
- 16:03Speaker 1: But anyway, yeah, you know, so we're forgetting Those two
- 16:06Speaker 1: guys are amazing producers, big Krit Krit Oh yeah yeah yeah, yeah,
- 16:10Speaker 1: for sure, both of them. Yeah yeah. But so that's
- 16:13Speaker 1: how we ended up meeting. And yeah, it was conversations
- 16:15Speaker 1: around that time for sure. You know. It was really
- 16:17Speaker 1: cool about him, man, one of the best things like
- 16:19Speaker 1: he was at that at that time, Dreamsville was so early,
- 16:21Speaker 1: Like it was a conversation and he was like, Yo,
- 16:24Speaker 1: He's like, you don't think I would do right by you.
- 16:27Speaker 1: He's like, yeah, nothing's prepared. It's not really put together
- 16:30Speaker 1: right yeah, right after Yeah, you know, so I would
- 16:34Speaker 1: have actually probably been the first one on the label,
- 16:36Speaker 1: but he just was like, ya, I don't want to
- 16:37Speaker 1: like make a mistake. Let's just be cool, let's stay close,
- 16:39Speaker 1: you know what I mean. Then I moved to La
- 16:40Speaker 1: start working with Doctor Dre. Like, you know, I wrote
- 16:42Speaker 1: the Content album.
- 16:43Speaker 2: I was gonna say, I wanted to get to the
- 16:44Speaker 2: Compton album because that album doesn't get enough flowers. We'll
- 16:48Speaker 2: get there, but well tell me about that, because Compton
- 16:52Speaker 2: is an album that came and I feel like we
- 16:58Speaker 2: don't go back to it enough. Man, it is a
- 17:00Speaker 2: damn I mean, it's the only body of work we've
- 17:03Speaker 2: gotten from Dre since two thousand and one, and I
- 17:05Speaker 2: thought it was pretty fucking impeccable.
- 17:07Speaker 1: That's beautiful, bro, I mean, I mean, you're you're on it.
- 17:10Speaker 1: You're One of the first things people don't don't talk
- 17:12Speaker 1: about is the fact that it never was a lot.
- 17:15Speaker 1: It never was on Spotify until last year, Like yeah,
- 17:19Speaker 1: you know what I mean, And there's a lot of.
- 17:20Speaker 2: Shit like that that I've been noticing been popping up
- 17:22Speaker 2: that I'm like, man.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Yeah, imagine and you. I think at that time it's
- 17:26Speaker 1: because you know, they had done a deal with Apple
- 17:28Speaker 1: or something like that. So at that time it's different
- 17:31Speaker 1: because Spotify was way bigger than our music just was
- 17:34Speaker 1: just starting, right, you know what I mean, and they
- 17:36Speaker 1: was like, yo, let's just you know, they just put
- 17:38Speaker 1: on app.
- 17:39Speaker 2: There were some albums that were doing that exclusive.
- 17:41Speaker 1: It stayed exclusive for like for like years, for like
- 17:43Speaker 1: eight years or some ship. Yeah. Yeah, So I think
- 17:45Speaker 1: that's kind of like an interesting like part of that story,
- 17:48Speaker 1: you know. But shout out to Dre. Shout out to.
- 17:50Speaker 2: Yeah, because it almost might have affected like the amount
- 17:55Speaker 2: of people who consumed it, you know, who.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Could even get who could listen to it exactly.
- 18:00Speaker 2: People are still so how did you end up coming
- 18:03Speaker 2: to LA and getting with Dre and kind of give
- 18:05Speaker 2: me that backstory?
- 18:06Speaker 1: Man? Shout out rapper Big Pool from a little brother,
- 18:08Speaker 1: big Pool shut out. Big Pool introduced me to producing
- 18:12Speaker 1: their Focus Okay, yeah on text okay, Focus and Tie probably,
- 18:19Speaker 1: and then I ended up going to the studio. I
- 18:21Speaker 1: did kind of like a like a damn there, like
- 18:22Speaker 1: a tryout. Really, it was me and a bunch of
- 18:25Speaker 1: other writers in there and people that you know, I
- 18:27Speaker 1: didn't know, they didn't know me. They was kind of
- 18:29Speaker 1: off on their own, doing their own thing, and you know,
- 18:32Speaker 1: it was it wasn't the easiest to get in and help.
- 18:34Speaker 1: So I was like, I'm gonna just go in this
- 18:35Speaker 1: little io booth. I just went a little io booth
- 18:37Speaker 1: and just started writing and coming up with stuff. And yeah,
- 18:40Speaker 1: we just submitted songs, and next thing, you know, four
- 18:42Speaker 1: or five days later, Dre end up showing up for real.
- 18:44Speaker 1: Because they kept saying he was coming every day. I
- 18:45Speaker 1: was like, he's not coming to the studio, and then
- 18:47Speaker 1: he came one day, and the day he finally pulled up,
- 18:51Speaker 1: he listened to some songs. He said he liked one
- 18:52Speaker 1: of the ones I had done, which was tight, and
- 18:56Speaker 1: then uh and then yeah, man, I actually went back
- 18:59Speaker 1: to North cal Lining because it was just like a
- 19:02Speaker 1: little camp they had done, but nothing was happening yet, right,
- 19:04Speaker 1: and and I was like, nah, man, you should go back,
- 19:06Speaker 1: Like you know, Dre likes a lot of stuff. You
- 19:08Speaker 1: never know what's gonna happen for real, and I needed
- 19:10Speaker 1: to go back to the crib. So I went back,
- 19:11Speaker 1: and I knew I was gonna move up to La Yeah,
- 19:14Speaker 1: I was like yo. I was like, I gotta get
- 19:15Speaker 1: back to LA. I gotta figure out a way to
- 19:17Speaker 1: do that. And so I moved back to l A.
- 19:19Speaker 1: I was living here for one day. Second day I
- 19:20Speaker 1: was living here, they called me Saidre, I want you
- 19:22Speaker 1: to come back to LA to write songs. I was like,
- 19:25Speaker 1: I'm here. I was hoping he was gonna do.
- 19:26Speaker 2: That, right, That's why I came.
- 19:27Speaker 1: That's why I came back anyway. Yeah. Yeah, and then
- 19:30Speaker 1: we wrote like damn, they probably like one hundred songs together.
- 19:32Speaker 1: It's like a lot of songs, one hundred probably, bro. Yeah, yeah.
- 19:35Speaker 1: I mean if anybody that's like that's ever was a
- 19:38Speaker 1: part of them sessions and knows like what's up or
- 19:40Speaker 1: seeing us working like so they think I'm exaggerating, they
- 19:43Speaker 1: would let me know. But yeah, I probably like that.
- 19:45Speaker 2: You guys were in the bag together for sure. What
- 19:48Speaker 2: was that like, because we always hear about Dre's like, uh,
- 19:52Speaker 2: how like his you know, attention to detail is almost
- 19:57Speaker 2: like ridiculous.
- 19:59Speaker 1: Yeah, I've done to take for sure, like thirty forty
- 20:01Speaker 1: fifty times maybe maybe more. Yeah.
- 20:04Speaker 2: Yeah, Like so as I'm curious, like on the writing side,
- 20:07Speaker 2: like is it like so it'll obviously on the production side,
- 20:11Speaker 2: we know he's very meticulous, but even on just like
- 20:13Speaker 2: the way the inflection of your lyrics, like yeah, until
- 20:16Speaker 2: you hit it, the way he hears it in his head.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you're definitely gonna be like, you know, doing
- 20:22Speaker 1: that and going back and forth. It's funny because, like
- 20:25Speaker 1: you know, Dres, he's like a funny guy. He got
- 20:27Speaker 1: like a funny personality. Like I feel like he'll fuck
- 20:29Speaker 1: with you a little bit, you know what I mean,
- 20:31Speaker 1: Like he got you doing some shit a whole lot.
- 20:32Speaker 1: But honestly, it really is to like bring the best
- 20:35Speaker 1: out of you or like to get what he's looking
- 20:38Speaker 1: for and to take you know what I'm saying that
- 20:39Speaker 1: he does too. He definitely finds what he's looking for
- 20:41Speaker 1: on the take. And a lot of times you get
- 20:43Speaker 1: on there and be like, damn, I sounded this way
- 20:45Speaker 1: when I when I did it, and then he coached
- 20:47Speaker 1: me into this thing. I never would have thought I
- 20:48Speaker 1: could sound like that happens a lot, you.
- 20:50Speaker 2: Know, that's dope. I was gonna say, did you ever
- 20:53Speaker 2: the myth of the Detox album that's probably never gonna
- 20:57Speaker 2: come out? Wherever any songs were he was like Yo, Detox.
- 21:02Speaker 1: What's this head things?
- 21:03Speaker 2: Well, like, you know, I don't know, man, because I
- 21:04Speaker 2: feel like by the time you were working on that,
- 21:06Speaker 2: I think the Detok ship was probably over with in
- 21:08Speaker 2: terms of the idea of like the public ever getting it.
- 21:11Speaker 2: I don't know, maybe maybe you you know, was there
- 21:13Speaker 2: any talk of that every even Yeah, I.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Had heard rumblings yeah, you know what I mean of like,
- 21:19Speaker 1: you know, songs or like yeah features or like concepts.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah one day, man, one day.
- 21:28Speaker 1: You never know, man, you never know. Fuck, Ryn, you
- 21:30Speaker 1: be on there, you know, just the super unexpected buleg
- 21:34Speaker 1: cut cad verse.
- 21:35Speaker 2: That's not gonna have going crazy on an intro. What
- 21:39Speaker 2: other writing opportunities did that situation put you in? Outside
- 21:44Speaker 2: after after the Confident album came out, because you're obviously
- 21:46Speaker 2: on that album too.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, I got a few features on there,
- 21:49Speaker 1: and so I remember right after it came out. I
- 21:52Speaker 1: remember being at my Auntory's crib and uh, I was
- 21:55Speaker 1: in the kitchen yo signing the CDs for family members
- 21:58Speaker 1: because like some of them like was like, we want
- 22:00Speaker 1: you to sign it, and I was like, oh, that's cool,
- 22:01Speaker 1: you know, not some ship that I really would ask
- 22:04Speaker 1: to do for you know that I was planning on doing.
- 22:06Speaker 1: But it's like it was cool that they felt enough
- 22:08Speaker 1: and like my uncle gave it to somebody at the
- 22:10Speaker 1: barbershop that wanted it or whatever, so that was cool.
- 22:13Speaker 1: And then I remember being at the kitchen table. I
- 22:16Speaker 1: was like signing these CDs and like Chay Pope called me.
- 22:19Speaker 2: Cha.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Yeah, Chay Pope called me and was like, yo, I
- 22:21Speaker 1: want you to come right for Kanye. He heard he
- 22:24Speaker 1: heard about y'all told him about you, some of the
- 22:26Speaker 1: stuff you did. He's like, yo, keep come tonight. I
- 22:28Speaker 1: was in Baltimore. I was in Maryland.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Good compound. I'm sure in La it was a shaney
- 22:34Speaker 2: La Okay, okay, shaney La and uh.
- 22:37Speaker 1: And I was like damn, Like I was hurt because
- 22:40Speaker 1: I was in Maryland, like and I wasn't close and
- 22:43Speaker 1: he's like, yo, come tonight, and I was like, yo,
- 22:45Speaker 1: I can't make it. Da da da da. I start
- 22:46Speaker 1: thinking how I was gonna get on the plane like
- 22:48Speaker 1: right then and there, How possible could this be? Looking
- 22:51Speaker 1: at it like they was working on Pablo. Yeah you
- 22:53Speaker 1: know what I mean. And so he was like, nah, bro,
- 22:55Speaker 1: just come the next day and I was like all right,
- 22:56Speaker 1: and then I just left packed up. When the next
- 22:58Speaker 1: day ended up, me and Kanye, I walked in wrong
- 23:01Speaker 1: like he was like, yo, something is like you know
- 23:03Speaker 1: cha told them was coming. Yeah, And I worked with
- 23:06Speaker 1: him for a couple of weeks on PABO. That was
- 23:07Speaker 1: real fun experience.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Were the songs that made the album that you helped.
- 23:12Speaker 1: You know what's funny, dog, there's actually only one thing
- 23:16Speaker 1: that's out moving around. Is this this leak that's going
- 23:19Speaker 1: crazy that I'll be getting a bunch of text from
- 23:21Speaker 1: like like uh like hackers or whatever. I was working
- 23:25Speaker 1: on the Highlights song. Oh really yeah, and at that time,
- 23:30Speaker 1: like other there was some other features on it. I
- 23:31Speaker 1: don't even want to bring light to it because Charlie
- 23:33Speaker 1: Wilson's on that right uh probably yeah yeah but anyway, yeah,
- 23:38Speaker 1: a bunch of people text me about that.
- 23:39Speaker 2: But there's a there's a leak of it running around
- 23:41Speaker 2: right now.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Yeah, interesting one. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I gotta hear that.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Yeah, so you that's gotta be kind of cool though,
- 23:48Speaker 2: just that it it's seen the light of day.
- 23:50Speaker 1: I mean, I you know, the experience, bro, even going
- 23:53Speaker 1: to work with you, like she was mad inspiring, or
- 23:55Speaker 1: just him being like I see it in you like
- 23:57Speaker 1: the thing, you know what I mean, like to I
- 23:59Speaker 1: mean to come here and be a part of the contribute,
- 24:01Speaker 1: you know. I thought that was ill.
- 24:03Speaker 2: What were the contrasts you noticed between because you know,
- 24:05Speaker 2: being in with Dre and Ye the two arguably greatest
- 24:09Speaker 2: producers ever, I mean, most prolific creatives. You know, you
- 24:14Speaker 2: can go on and on, but like, what were the
- 24:15Speaker 2: contrasts between those two processes that you noticed?
- 24:18Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, So Dre is like very like like
- 24:22Speaker 1: a scientific type of guy, like you know what I mean,
- 24:24Speaker 1: Like you know, he knows the board really well, like
- 24:27Speaker 1: the sounds of frequencies, you know what I mean. Like,
- 24:30Speaker 1: whereas yeah, I felt like it was just more like
- 24:32Speaker 1: a like a kid, you know what I mean. There
- 24:33Speaker 1: was like a microphone that just sat on a chair
- 24:36Speaker 1: and the beat was just playing if you just felt
- 24:38Speaker 1: like it, you could just walk over there and just
- 24:39Speaker 1: like something, if you just felt like it and it
- 24:41Speaker 1: was just sitting there, like that's very different type of Yeah.
- 24:44Speaker 2: I was there when he cut his Carnival Verse. Okay,
- 24:49Speaker 2: there I went with Tie in Vegas and he just
- 24:53Speaker 2: had I mean, now, the later part of that night
- 24:56Speaker 2: was all over Instagram live, but he just had like
- 24:59Speaker 2: the uh sweet at the Four Seasons in Vegas and
- 25:02Speaker 2: like you know, India Love just showed up to hang
- 25:05Speaker 2: out and she ended up being on Now she's on
- 25:08Speaker 2: the album.
- 25:09Speaker 1: That's how it be.
- 25:09Speaker 2: Bro. It was just so random. This was like a
- 25:12Speaker 2: room full of people are partying, the eating, yeah, and
- 25:14Speaker 2: this fools just starts cutting his fucking Carnival verse, Like Carnival.
- 25:18Speaker 1: That's the best sometimes to be in that vibe and
- 25:21Speaker 1: in that place.
- 25:22Speaker 2: I knew that was gonna happen.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Bro, I'm sorry, my boy, you got your uh it's.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Supposed to be okay, fucking thing and it's all good, no,
- 25:31Speaker 2: but uh but yeah, it was just it was just
- 25:34Speaker 2: crazy because then like you hear the album and you're like, yeah,
- 25:36Speaker 2: this sucking out. I loved I loved Vultures. But yeah,
- 25:40Speaker 2: it's funny because it's like it's almost like the opposite
- 25:42Speaker 2: of what you hear.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Dre would do you know what I mean, Like yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 25:46Speaker 1: it's just yeah, it's like no, no, no, that's not true, Dre.
- 25:48Speaker 1: You record in the room all the time with him
- 25:50Speaker 1: in the room, Like.
- 25:51Speaker 2: But I'm saying, like people people hanging out you still.
- 25:54Speaker 1: Yeah, hell yeah, it be people in the studio, in
- 25:56Speaker 1: the room with you. They just got to be quiet
- 25:57Speaker 1: for a second. Yeah you know, but yeah, catch the vibe.
- 26:00Speaker 1: It's nice to catch the varb that way for sure.
- 26:03Speaker 1: For you?
- 26:04Speaker 2: Are you like back, like fully in like rapper mode
- 26:06Speaker 2: right now?
- 26:07Speaker 1: What does it mean to be in rapper mode? What
- 26:08Speaker 1: does that mean? Well?
- 26:09Speaker 2: Like, you know, look, I feel like you you have
- 26:11Speaker 2: so many hats that you wear as a creative. It's
- 26:14Speaker 2: like mes rapper album EP ship like number number one
- 26:20Speaker 2: priority for you right now?
- 26:22Speaker 1: What would that mean? If I say yes, what would
- 26:24Speaker 1: it mean?
- 26:24Speaker 2: I don't know. I mean that that you're just super
- 26:26Speaker 2: focused on finishing your album and.
- 26:28Speaker 1: Okay, yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah for sure. But I
- 26:31Speaker 1: mean I'm an artist, I feel like in a lot
- 26:34Speaker 1: of different ways. No, for sure, That's what I'm saying,
- 26:36Speaker 1: asking Donald Glover like or someone.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Well, I'm sure at certain points in times, Donald Glover's
- 26:40Speaker 2: focus might be writing a show and another time it
- 26:43Speaker 2: might be making it out.
- 26:44Speaker 1: But do that mean he is somebody else while he's
- 26:46Speaker 1: doing that? Because sometimes people might think, like, damn, are
- 26:49Speaker 1: you a rapper while you while you're doing this.
- 26:51Speaker 2: No, No, but I think like I think that, like,
- 26:53Speaker 2: if you're an artist, right, and you have so many
- 26:55Speaker 2: hats in that spectrum that you can wear, maybe while
- 26:59Speaker 2: you're working on painting number one, that's your focus, you know,
- 27:04Speaker 2: like you might you know, you might be working on
- 27:05Speaker 2: like six other ideas at the same time.
- 27:07Speaker 1: But I got a lot of ideas, yo, And honestly,
- 27:09Speaker 1: it's really more about the fact that I think, I
- 27:12Speaker 1: just I don't never want nobody think I've become someone
- 27:14Speaker 1: else because I was doing this. I never became a
- 27:18Speaker 1: director because I started directing. I still was always an
- 27:20Speaker 1: artist or like or vice versa. You know what I mean.
- 27:23Speaker 1: I'm not just because I'm focused on music right now.
- 27:25Speaker 1: I put on my EP, my album, like, you know,
- 27:27Speaker 1: like it don't mean that I'm a different thing, you
- 27:29Speaker 1: know for sure. Yeah, I just think that's a real
- 27:33Speaker 1: that's a real conversation because people you can see where
- 27:35Speaker 1: I'm coming from.
- 27:36Speaker 2: No, definitely, obviously, do you feel like because I feel
- 27:39Speaker 2: like there's so many different ways to like express yourself, right,
- 27:46Speaker 2: do I mean You're lucky enough to probably have so
- 27:49Speaker 2: many different like canvases to kind of scratch whatever creative
- 27:53Speaker 2: it you have at the time. Give me kind of
- 27:55Speaker 2: an idea.
- 27:55Speaker 1: Of like.
- 27:57Speaker 2: What it is about directing and the visual process that
- 28:01Speaker 2: you enjoy that it's a little bit harder to get.
- 28:03Speaker 1: From maybe making music directed in the visual process.
- 28:07Speaker 2: Yeah, just like no, the visual process, like like being it.
- 28:10Speaker 2: I mean, because I always feel like, you know, being
- 28:13Speaker 2: able to be in charge of like a visual something
- 28:14Speaker 2: that's going to live online. You know, it's like a
- 28:17Speaker 2: and a live piece of art, Like what is it?
- 28:20Speaker 2: What is the difference between what you get out of
- 28:21Speaker 2: that compared to what you get out of working on
- 28:23Speaker 2: a song.
- 28:27Speaker 1: It's no difference, bro. You know It's funny. I have
- 28:28Speaker 1: a moment where I'm like, Yo, this scene is intended
- 28:32Speaker 1: to make people feel this way, you know what I mean.
- 28:34Speaker 1: I want you to feel like like ooh like and
- 28:37Speaker 1: you might have a bar that's the same thing, same
- 28:40Speaker 1: same feeling, bro. You know, And if I if I
- 28:42Speaker 1: successfully made you feel how I want you to feel,
- 28:45Speaker 1: you know, in either space, then I went that's what
- 28:48Speaker 1: That's what That's what I'm looking for. Yeah, yeah, you know,
- 28:51Speaker 1: so you just got a lot.
- 28:51Speaker 2: More on your in your repertoire to make people feel
- 28:54Speaker 2: and that's what are't supposed to do is make you feeling.
- 28:55Speaker 1: I think so, Bro, I think so. That's my favorite
- 28:57Speaker 1: thing is to be I'm intense. I could be intense
- 29:00Speaker 1: about it. That's crazy. I could be intentional about it
- 29:02Speaker 1: and then just you know, and say, this is what
- 29:04Speaker 1: I'm looking for people to feel in this thing that
- 29:08Speaker 1: I'm doing in this line. Sometimes I might write a
- 29:11Speaker 1: line that shit might make sense in a short film
- 29:13Speaker 1: or a song, or both might make sense in both.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Why not? You know? Yeah?
- 29:18Speaker 2: Is there are you like any of the videos that
- 29:24Speaker 2: you've directed lately that they're still coming out soon or
- 29:27Speaker 2: do you have like anything in the in the chamber?
- 29:29Speaker 1: Yeah, bro, yeah, yeah, I definitely have stuff of mind
- 29:31Speaker 1: that's coming. I actually also am a part owner in
- 29:35Speaker 1: a film production company as well, and so there's like
- 29:39Speaker 1: there's always like projects stuff coming in made by Airs. Yeah. Yeah,
- 29:43Speaker 1: shout out to maybe Airs all the talented creative people
- 29:46Speaker 1: connected to it. Yeah, that's that's interesting and helpful. It's
- 29:48Speaker 1: like when I went to Focus and I did film
- 29:50Speaker 1: for a second, that's the way that it could kind
- 29:52Speaker 1: of continue on while I'm being an artist. It's just
- 29:55Speaker 1: there's like a team or just a group of people
- 29:57Speaker 1: you know what I mean, we'll look.
- 29:58Speaker 2: The EP Loading comes out Friday, yeah, sir, the nineteenth,
- 30:02Speaker 2: and the album is coming soon.
- 30:04Speaker 1: Album's coming very very soon, very very soon. Yeah. Yeah,

- 30:22Speaker 2: all that shit they could.
- 30:24Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, we were just talking about vinyls. Actually, I
- 30:26Speaker 1: think I'm about to do some vinyls and sign all
- 30:27Speaker 1: of them, and you know, not to be big. It's
- 30:29Speaker 1: gonna be fun. Bro.
- 30:30Speaker 2: The vinyls are fire plusure. How did you end up
- 30:32Speaker 2: with mass Appeal Because for people who don't know, Mass
- 30:34Speaker 2: Appeal is like an amazing just label slash creative company.
- 30:38Speaker 2: They do so many different things.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, funny enough. I got to start it
- 30:42Speaker 1: with my boy Elliott shout out Elliott. Man. He was
- 30:44Speaker 1: this kid, Bro just hit me online like y'all fuck
- 30:48Speaker 1: with you, I'll fuck with you. He just he just
- 30:50Speaker 1: knew like the history of me, bro, like all my music,
- 30:53Speaker 1: like everything. You know, He's my It's so funny, like
- 30:57Speaker 1: you know how it happened. But Thenbous starting meeting the team,
- 31:01Speaker 1: everybody was cool, really understood that. Like, yo, I know,
- 31:06Speaker 1: I have like a vision for what I want to do,
- 31:08Speaker 1: and I think everybody could see it, you know what
- 31:10Speaker 1: I mean.
- 31:11Speaker 2: So it's cool, it's not how involved is nas in?
- 31:13Speaker 2: Like certain shit because nas is obviously part of master Peal.
- 31:17Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, I mean, you know, like I think that
- 31:19Speaker 1: a lot of it got to be his vision, you
- 31:21Speaker 1: know what I mean, most pretty much most of him
- 31:23Speaker 1: and Peter shout of the Peter you know, yeah, yeah,
- 31:25Speaker 1: for sure, And I think, yeah, he's cool man. I've
- 31:28Speaker 1: always heard good things, especially like if we see some
- 31:30Speaker 1: of mine and herd some of mine. It's always been positive. Yeah,
- 31:33Speaker 1: and obviously Bro, like I'm a fan Bros a legend.
