- 4:57Nation Foundation is working really close with Kerrville Pets Alive
- 5:01as we speak to try to get more info and
- 5:03figure out where the needs are to support the pet

- 5:54these actions, and provide assistance to shelters during times of
- 5:58natural disaster. Lambert told people back in November about being
- 6:02able to share her passion for mutt Nation and with
- 6:05her mom, Beverly June Lambert, mutt Nation is something that
- 6:08brings us together on a human level. It's out of
- 6:11the glamour, out of the glitz. It's just about passion
- 6:14for doing good for the world and saving animals. Moving
- 6:18on to more positive stories, Sam Hunt welcomes baby number
- 6:22three with wife Hannah Sam Hunt's families grown by one more.
- 6:27The country singer, now forty, welcomed his third baby, a
- 6:30son named Wayman Allan Hunt, with his wife Hannah, on
- 6:33May twenty first. The Cedar Town First Methodist Church confirmed
- 6:37the happy news via Facebook. At the end of Bay,
- 6:40the newest member of the Hunt family entered the world,
- 6:42weighing eight pounds six ounces and measuring twenty and a
- 6:45half inches at birth. According to the Post course, that
- 6:48was over a month ago, so probably ways a little
- 6:50more than that now. During an exclusive interview with Tastes
- 6:53of Country, the musician gave an update on how his
- 6:55family's adjusting to the little one and gave a glimpse
- 6:58into his personality. They're good, the star told the outlet,
- 7:02a little sleep deprived. Our most recent child got here
- 7:04in May, so he's finally starting to sleep a little better.
- 7:07We got spoiled with the first two. They were fairly easy.
- 7:10But Weyman my third one. Weyman's name. He likes to
- 7:13beat his own drama. I guess you could say. The
- 7:15new edition joins daughter Lucy Louise three and son Lowry
- 7:19Lee twenty one months. Back in November, Hunter announced he
- 7:22was expecting his third baby with his wife, Hannah, sharing
- 7:25the news on Odyssey's Katy and Company podcast, It's about
- 7:29to get Real, he said, I'm elated and I can't wait.
- 7:33Aunt share that the couple's oldest daughter, Lucy, doesn't totally
- 7:35understand that she's getting a baby sibling, but is excited
- 7:38none the less. Aunt share that he's planning on slowing
- 7:41down on touring since he wants to spend more time
- 7:44with his family. I'm hopefully in the next couple of
- 7:46years going to take a break from touring, he said.
- 7:49The crowds have been so great, and I want to
- 7:51get out there and tour while my kids are really
- 7:53young and they're able to come with me, and while
- 7:55people are interested in coming to see us, because I
- 7:58don't want to take that for granted and may Hunt
- 8:01spoke with people at the iHeart Country Festival and shared
- 8:03that he's hoping to bring the entire family out on
- 8:05tour with him. Asked if having his kids with him
- 8:08on tour changes his pre show routines, Hunt said it
- 8:11allows him to do things he wouldn't normally do on tour.
- 8:14I go to bed earlier, I get up earlier. It
- 8:16gives me a lot more to do during the day,
- 8:18he explained. I go out and do things that I
- 8:20wouldn't necessarily, you know, museums and parks and that sort
- 8:23of thing. I've gotten to really experience more of some
- 8:26of these places that I've been hearing about but just
- 8:30really not have gotten out to get the experience. So
- 8:32I could find a little good little breakfast spot, or
- 8:34go to the local museums things like that. It's been
- 8:37a treat. I'm a proud dad. Now we move over
- 8:41to countrynow dot Com. With the first article dated July eighth,
- 8:45Jake Owen reflects on career reveals the one thing he
- 8:48would do differently. Jake Owen is looking back on his
- 8:52journey through country music and opening up about the one
- 8:54thing he changed if he could do it all over again.
- 8:58After a golf injury sidelined his original career path, Owen
- 9:01left Florida State University just nine credits, shy of graduating,
- 9:05and moved to Nashville. Back in two thousand and five.
- 9:08He quickly began writing songs, landed a publishing deal, and
- 9:11soon after signed with RCA. By two thousand and six,
- 9:15his debut single, Yeehaw, was making waves on country radio.
- 9:19Since then, Owen has scored ten number one singles, earned
- 9:23gold and platinum certifications, toured with the legends like Alan Jackson,
- 9:27Keith Urban and Kenny Chesney, and amast over two point
- 9:31five billion streams in the US alone. Now, as he
- 9:34prepares to release a new album this fall, with the
- 9:36lead single Dreams to Dream that'll be out this weekend,
- 9:40Owen took part in an Instagram Q and A where
- 9:42he shared a personal revelation. Probably not as hot headed
- 9:46as I once was, he admitted. I came to town
- 9:49Nashville excited, alone, scared, and full of dreams. It's a
- 9:52town of people way more talented than you and I'll
- 9:55ever be. I wanted to prove that I was worthy
- 9:57of being here. I think my insecurities came across us
- 10:00as arrogance, and I hate that. He continued with a
- 10:04candid message of growth. I know my worth, I know
- 10:06my value. That's just a way of doing it with grace,
- 10:09and I can't say I always did. In a recent
- 10:12interview with Country Now, head of his country thunder Florida Set,
- 10:15Owen reflected on his early days in Nashville and the
- 10:18lesson that's stuck with him most. No one will ever
- 10:21believe in you as much as you believe in yourself.
- 10:24So when I think back about the last twenty two years,
- 10:27if there's anything I'm proud of, I'm proud that I
- 10:29made that move, He continued. I'm proud that I got
- 10:32out of Florida and took the risks to make it
- 10:34because if I hadn't ha done that, I don't know
- 10:36what this would have meant to me. So you got
- 10:39to take a chance. In recent years, Owen has done
- 10:41a lot of self reflection. In September of twenty one,
- 10:44a moment he described as embarrassing led him to quit drinking.
- 10:48Now nearly four years sober, he says it's the best
- 10:50decision he ever made. I feel better than I have
- 10:53ever felt in my life, he wrote, I'm finally really living.
- 10:57Jacoben launched the Driftwood Rambler to her earlier this summer.
- 11:00Sure the Trek is set to continue through August twenty
- 11:02ninth in de Quine, Illinois. Next, Nate Smith cancels more
- 11:07shows as vocal struggles continue. Nate Smith's vocal struggles continue
- 11:13to sideline the rising country star, forcing him to cancel
- 11:16several more shows as he recovers. In an emotional exchange
- 11:20shared with fans late Monday afternoon, Smith revealed that his
- 11:23vocal rest has been extended and that he's unable to
- 11:26perform at several upcoming concerts. As you know, I've been
- 11:30laying low over the past month on strict vocal rest.
- 11:33I truly thought I could hit the ground running, but
- 11:35after the first show back in Rushville, Illinois, you all
- 11:38were amazing by the way, the reality is I'm not
- 11:40one hundred percent yet and need more time to stay
- 11:43on the road to recover, he wrote. Smith apologized to
- 11:47fans for missing his scheduled performance at Summerfest and announced
- 11:51the cancelation of four more shows in Quebec, Craven, West Salem, Wisconsin,
- 11:56and Rhinelander, Wisconsin. I'm so sorry that I couldn't perform
- 11:59at Summerfest. It broke my heart and sad to say
- 12:02that I've needed to cancel my next four shows Canada, fam,
- 12:05I love you. I'll be back soon, I promise, char
- 12:09topping singer went on to thank fans for their support
- 12:12and patience during this challenging time. The news comes after
- 12:16Nate Smith's June fourth message to fans, where a reveal
- 12:18that he was going to have to cancel all shows
- 12:21and appearances planned through the end of June. This included
- 12:24his shows on his Dream tour with Jason Aldean. We've
- 12:28all come to the decision that the best way to
- 12:29get my voice fully back is to rest it for
- 12:32the first time in almost five years. Breaks my heart
- 12:35knowing that I won't be there to see all of
- 12:37you if all goes according to Plant, Smith is expected
- 12:40to return to the road on July seventeenth in Tulsa
- 12:44first show with Jason Aldean. The California native is currently
- 12:48climbing a charts at country radio with his latest hit single,
- 12:51fix What You Didn't Break. Next, Ella Langley penns sentimental
- 12:56message in honor of her first solo number one. Ella
- 13:00Langley is celebrating a major career milestone as her heart
- 13:04pounding single Weren't for the Wind has officially reached number
- 13:07one on country radio. This marks Langley's second career chart topper,
- 13:13after You Look Like You Love Me featuring Riley Green,
- 13:16and her first solo as artist, Overwhelmed with Gratitude. The
- 13:20rising country powerhouse took to social media to commemorate the
- 13:23achievement with a heartfelt message dedicated to the people who
- 13:27helped her get there. In her initial post, announcing that
- 13:30the tune has hit the top spot on the chart,
- 13:32she wrote, Weren't for the Wind is number one on
- 13:35Country Radio. Baby so proud of the song everything that
- 13:38it's done and continues to do. Thank you all for
- 13:41love In this song. Ella goes on to honor the
- 13:44people who also made the song possible, including her co
- 13:47writers joy Beth Taylor and Johnny Clausen, as well as
- 13:51the song's producer Will Bundy. She capped off the celebration
- 13:55with a second, deeply emotional post, debt to dedicated to
- 13:59her sister in song, Joy Beth and the friendship that
- 14:02fueled their shared dream. Sentimental post is incoming. There's no
- 14:06telling how many hours me and joy Beth Taylor put
- 14:08into having this moment together. Since that day on my
- 14:11back porch, the day we wrote our first song, we've
- 14:14dreamt about getting a number one together. Sure, there have
- 14:17always been many days that it seemed pretty much impossible,
- 14:19but we always believed. Always. Hella rode alongside a carouselo
- 14:23photos documenting highlights of their friendship and journey. She continues
- 14:27to gush over Joybeth's and Meth's talent and dedication to
- 14:31her songwriting craft, noting that she inspires me daily. At
- 14:35the very end of the post, ACM New Female Artist
- 14:37of the Year admitted that she had tears flowing out
- 14:40of her eyes while reflecting on the fact that they've
- 14:42finally achieved a feat that she and Joybeth have talked
- 14:44about for so long, and the best part is they
- 14:47get to share this moment together, making the victory all
- 14:50that more special. Weren't for The Wind was penned in
- 14:54the midst of Langley's opening run on John Party's twenty
- 14:57twenty three Mister Saturday Night World Tour. At the time,
- 15:00she was driving through Wyoming and admiring the beautiful scenery
- 15:03along the road. She channeled exactly what she was feeling
- 15:07among the Western plains and in no time wrote her
- 15:09next single. The song, which appears on her eighteen track projects,
- 15:13Still hung Over, officially impacted air waves in the beginning
- 15:17of twenty twenty five and slowly rose its way to
- 15:19the number one spot. Since its release, Langley has performed
- 15:23the story of finding Power in her independence on countless stages,
- 15:26including at the sixtieth a c M Awards and the
- 15:30c M A Fest twenty twenty five. With new music
- 15:33in the works, Ella Langley continues her Still hung Over
- 15:35to or throughout the year, with opening dates with Morgan
- 15:38Wallen and Riley Green scheduled in between. Now we check
- 15:43in with Saving Country Music with the one story date
- 15:46of July fifth, Jimmy Swagger dead at ninety his close
- 15:51ties to country music. Well known eighties televangelist and eventually
- 15:55disgraced preacher, Jimmy Swagger died on July first, at the
- 15:59age of ninety, known for his pentecostal crusades in the eighties,
- 16:02his fiery sermons, and eventually his I have sinned speech
- 16:06when he had to admit his massive congregation discrete indiscretions
- 16:10with a prostitute back in nineteen eighty eight. You probably
- 16:13don't immediately think of him when you think of music
- 16:15or country music specifically, but says Saving Country Music. There
- 16:19is a reason that in nineteen ninet eighty two, Newsweek
- 16:22dubbed Swaggert the King of Hockey Talk Heaven. Jimmy Swaggert
- 16:26was very active throughout his career recording Southern gospel songs
- 16:29and albums. He placed four albums in the top forty
- 16:33of the Billboard Christian Albums charts, specifically nineteen eighty four's
- 16:37Living Waters, nineteen eighty four's Jesus Just the Mention of
- 16:41Your Name, nineteen eighty five's Sweet Anointing, in nineteen eighty
- 16:45six as It's Beginning to Rain. Swaggert was also nominated
- 16:48for a Grammy for his nineteen eighty album Worship. Even
- 16:52without his ministry, Swagger's passing would have been notable in
- 16:55the gospel world. He sold fifteen million albums worldwide before
- 17:00he passed away. On June thirtieth, he was announced he
- 17:02would be inducted into the Southern Gospel Hall of Fame
- 17:05as part of the Class of twenty twenty five. However,
- 17:09Swaggert had no love for Christian rock music that also
- 17:12came to popularity in the eighties with bands like Striper.
- 17:16He co authored a book called Religious Rock and Roll,
- 17:19A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing in nineteen eighty seven, a
- 17:21year before his teary Eyed I Have Sinned speech. This
- 17:25might have put him at odds with one of his
- 17:27closest relatives who had strong ties to both rock and
- 17:31country music. In fact, Swaggart had not one, not two,
- 17:35but three cousins in the country. In rock realm, Swaggart
- 17:38very well could have become a country music performer or
- 17:41part of the original stable of Sun Records artists under
- 17:44slightly different circumstances. Jimmy Swaggert was the cousin of Country
- 17:49Music Hall of Famer and rock and roll pioneer Jerry
- 17:52Lee Lewis. They both grew up in the small impoverished
- 17:55town of Faraday, Louisiana, and were born only six months apart.
- 18:00They would grow up singing and performing music together. Sometimes
- 18:04they were joined by another cousin born the year after them,
- 18:06country legend Mickey Gilly, though younger by a decade. They
- 18:10were also related to Jerry Lee's younger sister, Linda Gale Lewis,
- 18:14who also has a career in vintage rock and roll
- 18:16and country. Jimmy Swaggert married at seventeen in nineteen fifty
- 18:21two to a woman he met in church while singing gospel.
- 18:25They shortly had a son, and as Swaggert pursued becoming
- 18:27a preacher throughout rural Louisiana, the young couple struggled living
- 18:31in the basements of churches and the homes of fellow pastors.
- 18:35At the same time, Jerry Lee Lewis was making a
- 18:37reported twenty thousand dollars a week as one of the
- 18:39biggest artists on Sun Records. The story goes that Sam
- 18:43Phillips's son wanted to start a gospel line of music
- 18:46and wanted Jimmy Swagger to be his first in flagship artist.
- 18:50It couldn't have been easy to turn the Sun opportunity away,
- 18:53but Swaggert felt he was called to preach the gospel
- 18:56and turn the opportunity down, only returning to singing gospel
- 18:59music once his televangelism career took off. Swagger would eventually
- 19:04find his audience. He would become a multi millionaire with
- 19:07millions of television viewers, and, along with his gospel music career,
- 19:10author fifty books. But it all came crashing down after
- 19:14numerous prostitution scandals and alleged cocaine news though even after
- 19:19the scandal, Swagger continued to preach. In twenty twenty two,
- 19:23cousins Jerry Lee Lewis and Jimmy Swagger got together and
- 19:26recorded a Southern gospel album themselves called The Boys from Faraday.
- 19:31Maybe Newsweek was being a bit hyperbolic and presumptuous when
- 19:35they called Jimmy Swagger the King of honky Tonk Heaven,
- 19:38but he certainly had a history in music and familiar
- 19:40tize with multiple country stars. Just as Mickey Gilly and
- 19:44Jerry Lee Lewis came into the world the same year,
- 19:47they also left, with McKey Gilly passing away in May
- 19:49of twenty twenty two and Jerry Lee passing in October.
- 19:54Now their cousin Jimmy will join them in hanky Tonk Heaven,
- 19:57whether he should be considered the king of it or not.
- 20:01Now we stomped down on with both feet into the
- 20:03boot dot com with the first article dated July eighth,
- 20:07Chris Young reveals new I Didn't Come Here to Leave album.
- 20:11Chris Young is ready to reveal the new music he's
- 20:13been working on that till the Last One dies. Singer
- 20:16has announced his next studio album coming this fall. I
- 20:19Didn't Come Here to Leave will be his tenth career
- 20:22album and first on Black River Entertainment. Young announced that
- 20:26he'd signed with Black River last December, talking to Taste
- 20:29of Country Nights. He said he was previously familiar with
- 20:32members of his new label team and liked how they
- 20:34said they needed a king to sit alongside their queen,
- 20:37Kelsey Ballerini. Till the Last One Dies as a love
- 20:40song written by Ben Hayslip, Seth Moseley, and Jordan Walker.
- 20:45Fans can expect Young's new album to drop on October seventeenth.
- 20:49It will include fourteen songs, eleven of which he helped write.
- 20:53Earlier this year, he mentioned he was considering a couple
- 20:55of collaborations for the project, but stopped short of spilling
- 20:58any details. Young has been very successful with collaborations in
- 21:02the past. Back in twenty twenty one, he released a
- 21:05pair of chart topping duets with friends Kane Brown and
- 21:08Mitchell Tenpenny. Prior to that, he had number one songs
- 21:11with Vince Gill Sober It's Saturday Night and Cassidy Pope
- 21:15Think of You. Lifetime, Young has eleven number one hits
- 21:19on the Billboard Country Airplay Chart. I had been at
- 21:22Sony for almost nineteen years, Young said. This spring, my
- 21:25deal was actually up, so I was like, I get
- 21:27to play a free agent for once. I was just
- 21:30going to take a whole bunch of meetings. My very
- 21:32first meetings with Black River Entertainment, sat with them for
- 21:35three hours, played the new music. They loved all the songs.
- 21:38They gave me everything I asked for and more. October
- 21:42seventeenth is already a special day for Young, as that's
- 21:45the anniversary of his induction into the Grand Old Opry,
- 21:48which he joined in twenty seventeen. Speaking of Kane Brown,
- 21:53he says his dark days before his health journey were
- 21:55worse than we realized. Kane Brown has released music is
- 22:00on his mental health struggles in the past, but in
- 22:03a vulnerable new track that he teased on Instagram stories
- 22:05on Tuesday, he shares his darkest and most personal message yet.
- 22:10The ballad, which spotlights Brown's rich and emote of voice,
- 22:13gets honest about a tough time that the singer went
- 22:15through earlier this year. In its lyrics, he wonders what
- 22:19life after death would be like for him. He envisions
- 22:22the people and only looks ahead toward the afterlife he
- 22:24might be stepping into, which sounds like it's still mostly
- 22:27a big question mark. Could I go back in time?
- 22:31Who would say goodbye to? Who would I run back to?
- 22:34Brown sings when the sun shines down, all my friends
- 22:37gather round underneath that weeping willow. Who would see? Who
- 22:40would I be? Where would I go? This was during
- 22:44my dark days, before these last couple of months of
- 22:46my life turning around. Brown explained as he shared the song,
- 22:49I wondered if when I was gone, if I would
- 22:51be in the spirit world, or what I would do?
- 22:53He continues, who would be at my funeral at the
- 22:55end of the day After all of this? Brown has
- 22:58written music about mental health ruggles in the past. Is
- 23:01duet with Black Bear. Memory is about among the songs
- 23:04he's released that touches on the topic, but most fans
- 23:08don't know that the singer's twenty twenty five health journey
- 23:11was spurred by a low point in his mental health.
- 23:13It sounds like it was serious and very recent. The
- 23:17Country Stars posted some of the accomplishments in milestones from
- 23:20his moves toward a better health and wellness, which he
- 23:23kicked off in early April. The real fight is with yourself,
- 23:26the singer reflected in one recent before and after shot.
- 23:29Every time I want to quit, I keep going, and
- 23:32the next day I push even harder. If I slip
- 23:34I hold myself accountable and come back stronger. Most of
- 23:38his posts about his journey have focused on the physical
- 23:40side of things. In late April, he said he'd lost
- 23:43sixteen pounds. That's after fast than two to three weeks
- 23:47of clean eating and no gluten or sugar. But brown
- 23:50Is also emphasized that physical health and mental health are interconnected.
- 23:55Once you start seeing results, there's no turning back. He says.
- 23:58You feel better, look younger, sleep deeper in your moodshifts, discipline,
- 24:02builds everything. Let's keep going Next post Malone will return
- 24:08to the stage with Jelly Roll in twenty twenty six.
- 24:12Post Malone and jelly Roll will once again share the
- 24:15stage next year. The Poor mea Drink singer share the
- 24:18news during his San Francisco tour stop. While delivering an
- 24:21impromptu monologue between songs as he introduced Jelly Roll to
- 24:25the crowd for their live rendition of their collaboration, Losers
- 24:29Malone revealed their future plans. Whenever you book a tour
- 24:33like this, you think about who's going to come on
- 24:34stage and sing every night with you, explains ladies and gentlemen.
- 24:38The label sent me a long list of names. I
- 24:41knew in the bottom of my heart there was only
- 24:43one mother that I wanted to do this with. It's
- 24:46unclear this will be an extension of the Big A
- 24:49Stadium Tour, which is likely, or something entirely new. Jelly
- 24:53Roll could be doing his own tour and extending the
- 24:55invite to Malone to join him as a thank you,
- 24:57or they could be planning a joint co headlining The
- 25:01San Francisco stop on July first, marked the last of
- 25:04the US leg of Malone's Big Gas Stadium Tour. The
- 25:07crew will now load up and head overseas for a
- 25:09slew of dates in Europe. The trick will Hopscotch through

- 27:08In the short time I have left, it's only fair
- 27:10that we talk about the twenty five most important country
- 27:13women of the last twenty five years. Last week we
- 27:16did the Men. Can't talk about two thousands country music
- 27:19without spending time on these twenty five women. Each is
