- 2:32On the inside spotlight page where me and Michael, we used to do the outside spotlight
- 2:37quite a lot together.
- 2:39That is 1,500 people on my LinkedIn.
- 2:43I'm not even talking about my LinkedIn numbers.
- 2:45I've only just started, so we won't talk about them.

- 2:58Fantastic.
- 3:00Has everybody got people who are coming to say, hey, Angela Marie.
- 3:04Nice to see you.
- 3:05Hey.
- 3:05Hey.
- 3:05Hey.
- 3:07And also a big happy birthday to Michael.
- 3:11Thank you, Angela.
- 3:13Thank you, Jessica.
- 3:16So Michael, before we get the album itself, we have missed you like crazy since we left the
- 3:23unsigned spotlight together some about two months ago.
- 3:28So tell us what you've been up to for the last two months, mister.
- 3:33Well, I have missed everybody.
- 3:35Honestly, I I love the show and and loved working with you, so I just wanna say that.
- 3:41And a lot of people thought maybe there was a bad falling out or something, and that wasn't
- 3:47the case.
- 3:48It was We still
- 3:49love each other.
- 3:50Oh, we do.
- 3:51And I love Bubba.
- 3:52I love what they're doing, and trying to work within,
- 3:59oh gosh,
- 4:00scenes project to do my own own podcast.
- 4:03It'll to be kind of fun.
- 4:05But, basically, getting everything ready for this release, it's been a busy year when I look
- 4:13back at everything that's been accomplished, it this goes back three years.
- 4:22I mean, I started writing and started recording about three years ago, starting putting
- 4:26everything together.
- 4:27So it's been a long process.
- 4:30But I kinda knew what I wanted to do, and I wanted this to be the year that I really amped
- 4:37everything up.
- 4:38I hooked up with a great manager over in The UK.
- 4:41He's pretty amazing.
- 4:43Yeah.
- 4:43I don't know who that is.
- 4:45I don't know.
- 4:46Don't really don't know what his name is, but he must be amazing.
- 4:49He must be one one day, everybody one day.
- 4:53Okay?
- 4:53One day, this will be AJ's sitting room.
- 4:56Okay?
- 4:56So if everybody thinks this is AJ's sitting room, it is a back drop.
- 5:00Okay?
- 5:00But we're working there, Michael.
- 5:02Okay?
- 5:02We're gonna be superstars.
- 5:04We are.
- 5:04And one day, me and Michael, we'll
- 5:06be What do you mean gonna be?
- 5:08Michael already
- 5:09yes, Michael.
- 5:10But we are superstars.
- 5:11Michael, I'm here.
- 5:12Okay.
- 5:13Alright.
- 5:13Okay.
- 5:13Me.
- 5:14Okay.
- 5:14One day, I'll be a superstar, and I will have my piano.
- 5:18Michael will be coming over because he's famous.
- 5:20There you go.
- 5:21Is that fair or no?
- 5:21Here's the deal.
- 5:23It it's I have gotten a lot of support, and the last couple months have been putting a lot of
- 5:32time and effort making sure this album was exactly what I wanted it to be.
- 5:39I loved my last album.
- 5:41I I absolutely loved it, and I'm really proud of it because I got to say, hello, everybody.
- 5:48You know, I got to really pour my feelings and emotions deep things.
- 5:55I I tell everybody the album was the first album was how I got to be me personally, not
- 6:09professionally, not the things that inspired me, but it was an introspective look at how I
- 6:17got to be me, some of the things that I've gone through and went through and worked through.
- 6:24This album is a different animal.
- 6:26This is a lot more fun.
- 6:28It's a lot more pop.
- 6:30There's some really amazing there's amazing there's some really cool lyrics in it, but this
- 6:36album now celebrates how I got to be the artist.
- 6:44The other album was how I got to be me and how I worked and and went through things to become
- 6:53me as a person, quote, unquote.
- 6:55Okay.
- 6:56This album is a celebration of the things that make me the performer that I was.
- 7:04And so there's a lot of
- 7:07You're welcome.
- 7:08I'm gonna do a Ryan now.
- 7:09In fact, you was or would be you are?
- 7:11Am I what?
- 7:13I'm gonna do Orion now.
- 7:14As you was or as you are?
- 7:16The performer you are or as you was?
- 7:18I'm getting confused.
- 7:19No.
- 7:19As I as the performer that I am now.
- 7:22I
- 7:22mean But what I'm saying?
- 7:23Right.
- 7:24Because there's a lot of there's a lot of musical influence that my family was all
- 7:32musicians.
- 7:33My my you know, my mom and father were musicians on the East Coast.
- 7:39So music was always part of my life.
- 7:41And but there are very much musical influences.
- 7:46I spent a lot of time in church, so there's a lot of gospel, r and b feel to my performances.
- 7:55I also have spent a lot of time, obviously, like Ryan, doing show tunes.
- 8:03I've been in a lot of musicals, So that was a big influence too.
- 8:08So
- 8:10Is that JP in the background?
- 8:11Did he charge No.
- 8:12That's my my my little nephew who
- 8:16Aw.
- 8:16Hi, little nephew.
- 8:18He's enamored.
- 8:19But so, anyway, so this album, you'll hear there's influences of Celine Dion.
- 8:27You'll hear influences of Ben Platt.
- 8:29You'll hear influences of Sam Harris.
- 8:32You'll hear influences of Whitney Houston, Journey, you know, all all the artists that
- 8:38helped mold me into this crazy thing that I am now.
- 8:43You're not crazy.
- 8:45You're talented.
- 8:45There's a difference.
- 8:46Well, talented.
- 8:47Talented.
- 8:48Talented.
- 8:48Talented.
- 8:49I've got a younger Ava trying to get in.
- 8:51Ava Lee Bee is trying to get into the show this evening.
- 8:54Unfortunately, her camera and also her audio isn't working, and there's also three of her on
- 9:00the line at the bottom.
- 9:01So, Eva, unfortunately, we can't let you in when there's three of you because I think
- 9:04that's what's knocking your camera off the day.
- 9:07But also, you could try and log yourself back out and come back in, we will give you a
- 9:13message shortly.
- 9:13But, hopefully, you can join us.
- 9:15If not come and listen, the browser keeps blocking it.
- 9:18Yeah.
- 9:18We try and find the Chrome.
- 9:20It's probably better.
- 9:21A laptop, if you can get to one.
- 9:23But in some time with StreamYard, it does get a bit awkward.
- 9:27But if you come off, Michael, and come back in, sometimes that works.
- 9:31Okay?
- 9:32So, hopefully, we can get you back on there.
- 9:34If not, enjoy the party.
- 9:35We are gonna have to get to the party.
- 9:37We're gonna have to start the party because we've got Number one, Bold to Blend is the
- 9:44first one.
- 9:45Give us a understanding of this track and how it comes about.
- 9:50Okay.
- 9:50Well, honestly, this is pretty self explanatory.
- 9:53This I knew this was going to be the title of my album, and I knew this was gonna be the
- 9:59song.
- 10:00It just talks about me and being proud of who I am, where I'm at, and making no excuses.
- 10:11I'm taking notes.
- 10:13Take taking notes.
- 10:14He did it in the last album party.
- 10:16He's here again in his party.
- 10:17No.
- 10:18This is this is just a really and I want everybody this is a song that I want everybody
- 10:23to fall in love with because I want them to drive down the street or walk down the mall
- 10:31proud of who they are, whether, you know Amen.
- 10:35So that's that's kind of where this song comes from.
- 10:38So there you go.
- 10:39Two Bones Blend, everybody.
- 10:40Here's your first track of 15.
- 10:42Enjoy.
- 11:59I'll write the script.
- 12:12No state direction, no casting call just self reflection, freestanding lines and neon ink.
- 12:22You blink, I change what people think.
- 12:26Spotlight chasing.
- 12:28Now I am the low and wherever I want.
- 12:32I steal the show, I bob on frequencies they can't decode.
- 12:37I'm Vince's thunder in future mode.
- 12:41Your copy paste shift.
- 13:11I'm too bold to blend.
- 13:20Not at my chest.
- 13:21I'm riding rhythm, bend.
- 14:51Hello.
- 14:52Sorry.
- 14:52We're just having a few technical difficulties.
- 14:54We will get there.
- 14:54Betsy, Michael, hello.
- 14:58Really awesome.
- 14:59The you know, that's
- 15:02that's the one of the songs I wanna make a T shirt for just because I think the message is
- 15:09so universal.
- 15:10It's like, it's not about just about me.
- 15:12It's about anybody that just wants to be proud about who they are, and it's anything.
- 15:18You know?
- 15:20It's so yeah.
- 15:22The if I if so if I go about making a t shirt, one of them is going to be that that song.
- 15:30And it cuts I got to perform about five different pride events in June.
- 15:37I wish I had done more, and I I'm I'm excited.
- 15:40Was the opening song.
- 15:42It was
- 15:43While we're waiting for Michael and AJ's signal to come back on
- 15:48You can't hear me?
- 15:49No.
- 15:50Can hear you?
- 15:51I can't hear you at all, my friend, until just now.
- 15:55Oh, no.
- 15:55Well, I can hear, Michael.
- 15:57Michael, let's all check we can hear Take a little glitch as it happens.
- 16:00You see, Internet.
- 16:01It's not a perfect science.
- 16:02There's AJ.
- 16:03I'm here.
- 16:05I'm here.
- 16:07Michael, can you see me?
- 16:09I can.
- 16:10I mean, I I just hope everybody heard what I said.
- 16:13Yes.
- 16:13That's my one song that is going to be a T shirt, because I've literally my the feedback
- 16:21when I because I've gotten to sing some of these songs live, which is really exciting.
- 16:26That song goes over really well with
- 16:30What what what was the inspiration behind the artwork of the cover?
- 16:35Well, that's the cover of the single.
- 16:37The album is actually pretty almost the same thing except it's me with surrounded by people.
- 16:43And it was just if you look, I I just wanted to create a a cover that showed everybody kind of
- 16:55the same way.
- 16:56Like, existing Yeah.
- 16:58Like, one dimensional.
- 16:59Yeah.
- 16:59Right.
- 17:00Existing in the in the world, everybody kinda looks the same, kinda cookie cutter, doing
- 17:05everything kinda safe.
- 17:07And for me, I was like, I wanna stand out.
- 17:11I I wanna be different.
- 17:12We've got one shot in this world with impact.
- 17:17And Sure.
- 17:17I think we've been joined by Ava.
- 17:19Ava, do you wanna come and say a quick hello before we lose your signal again?
- 17:25Are you with us, Ava?
- 17:28Hello?
- 17:32Hello, Eva.
- 17:34Are you okay?
- 17:37I I don't think that's working.
- 17:41I can't hear nobody in the background.
- 17:42My goodness.
- 17:44Hooray for technology.
- 17:46We can hear you.
- 17:47Well, I can hear you.
- 17:48I don't know.
- 17:49Michael, can you
- 17:49hear me?
- 17:50Technical difficulties.
- 17:51I can hear.
- 17:53I can't hear her.
- 17:57Abel and Dean, can you hear us?
- 18:02I think Amy's just gonna have to be able to text because that's that's not gonna
- 18:06Oh god.
- 18:07In.
- 18:08Okay.
- 18:08Text in, please, Avon.
- 18:09Okay?
- 18:11Right.
- 18:12We're gonna have to go to track number two because we have got 15 to get through.
- 18:16So the charts tell us about this next track?
- 18:20Which one?
- 18:22If I had a chance.
- 18:23Oh, very, very you know, this song is really, really cool.
- 18:27It's just I remember writing this one and thinking, basically, a lot of my songs are
- 18:37sadly written about my feelings towards my husband.
- 18:43There's just no way around it and his impact on on me.
- 18:48And and so this song was kind of I remember I remember writing this one and feeling really
- 18:56inspired about what would I do differently.
- 19:03You know, as as we get older, we go worth are there things that we wish we had done
- 19:08differently?
- 19:09Would we have chose a different path?
- 19:12Would we have walked through a different door?
- 19:14Would we have shut a door when we left it open?
- 19:18And so that's kind of what this song really talks about, and then it talks about, you know,
- 19:25the one things you can't always go back in the past and end up with what you've got.
- 19:33You know?
- 19:34It's everything works out a certain way for that to happen.
- 19:39And I thought, okay.
- 19:40If I went back in time and I did did change some of the things that I had done or taken
- 19:47more risk or would I end up where I'm at?
- 19:52And if the most important thing in my life would not be there, it wouldn't be worth it.
- 19:58And so there you go.
- 20:00There you go.
- 20:02So now what it is, we are now going to hear the next track.
- 20:06Those of you who are trying to pop in and see us, we will get you on after this if we can get
- 20:10your technology working.
- 20:12Okay?
- 20:13This is the next track.
- 20:14If I had the chance to find the lady Michael Cagle, I hope you enjoy this next track.
- 20:33If I could turn
- 20:34the hands of time, I'd take the chances I left behind.
- 20:41The dreams I dropped, the words unsaid, the roads I feel, the love I fled, or would I
- 20:49change it all?
- 20:53Undo the pain started over.
- 20:58Live it again.
- 21:05If I had the chance, I'd go back in time.
- 21:09Relieve the moments left behind.
- 21:12But I would only change what I've been through if I knew it would still lead me to you.
- 21:19Yes, I'd take it up, the joy, the pain.
- 21:23But I need your love to remain if I have the chance to do it again.
- 21:30Let's still meet you in the end.
- 21:44The friends I lost, the fights I've made, the reckless nights, the heavy mistakes, the
- 21:52lessons learned, bridges burned so many pages.
- 21:57Love to turn when I trade it all.
- 22:03The joy and the pain.
- 22:06Not if it brought me if I had the chance to do it again.
- 22:41I'd still need you in me.
- 22:45I'd only go back, only rewind If I had the chance, I'd go back in time.
- 23:24Relieve the moments I left behind.
- 23:28Well, I would only change what I've been through.
- 23:31If I knew it would still lead me to you, even if the story
- 23:52air.
- 23:58In
- 23:58Yes.
- 23:59I do it all again, but only if it brought me still.
- 24:29There's that voice.
- 24:33Awesome.
- 24:35Awesome.
- 24:36That's what I'm gonna say.
- 24:37Awesome.
- 24:37You can't copy me.
- 24:40I said it first.
- 24:41Well, I'll just have to come up with something different then.
- 24:43I think what JP was up, I think to say he's got bag and he's gone again.
- 24:47JP, do you know where you are?
- 24:49I love the line, you still still need you in the end.
- 24:52I love that line, Michael.
- 24:54That's such a powerful phrase.
- 24:56It's really that hit that hit me in in the heartstrings.
- 25:01That was awesome.
- 25:02Yeah.
- 25:03I I I
- 25:08literally had somebody tell me the other day, why do you make songs everybody cries at?
- 25:16And I'm like,
- 25:17I didn't mean to
- 25:19yeah.
- 25:20You did.
- 25:21Hi, babe.
- 25:23Hi, babe.
- 25:24Hi, Jason.
- 25:24Hi, babe.
- 25:26What's that?
- 25:26High award winner, Jason.
- 25:29Oh, yeah.
- 25:29Sorry.

- 25:49I like that.
- 25:53I hear
- 25:56like, somebody's in the car.
- 25:57Trying to get food to us, but it really is struggling.
- 26:01Unfortunately, I'm gonna have to, like, get you just to come and join us in the audience, are
- 26:05you?
- 26:05Because you really are struggling, mister.
- 26:07So Yeah.
- 26:08You know, if you could just join us in the audience, that'd be absolutely brilliant.
- 26:12Hi, Orwiz.
- 26:14You're muted, sweetheart.
- 26:15Unmute yourself.
- 26:16Say hi, everyone.
- 26:18Hey, Darlin.

- 26:25Just have your songs on repeat.
- 26:32This is beautiful.
- 26:34Especially that one.

- 26:39I totally agree with you.
- 26:41There's a certain they no one can do it like Michael Cagan.
- 26:44I'm sorry.
- 26:44When they hit those certain notes, no.
- 26:47It's a Michael Cowan song.
- 26:48You know?
- 26:49His voice is so unique.
- 26:51It's like when you hear it, you know it's him.
- 26:53Exactly.

- 28:09He he designed he designed my album cover out of the kindness of his heart, and I can't wait
- 28:14to work with JP and Michael.
- 28:17They have an they have a record label now.
- 28:21I don't know if you knew that, AJ.
- 28:23I do.
- 28:24Yes.
- 28:24I do.
- 28:25I'm I'm so excited to work with the both of them and and put together something unique and
- 28:30different.
- 28:30Definitely different.
- 28:31It's definitely gonna be different,
- 28:36especially coming from my last try, Ava.
- 28:39Definitely, Ava.
- 28:40One last try.
- 28:42These two guys are hear it.
- 28:45Best people in the world, Michael and JP.
- 28:48Thank you.
- 28:50Alright.
- 28:50Are we moving forward?
- 28:52We are moving forward.
- 28:55Let's go.
- 28:55Greg has for it.
- 28:56Yeah.
- 28:56Seriously.
- 28:57Let's go to the next song because we are got 15 songs to play.
- 29:01So the next song we are on the list, we are going to be going one that you probably all
- 29:07have never heard before.
- 29:09This is Against All Lodge.
- 29:10If it's any better than Phil Collins, I'm gonna be quite surprised.
- 29:14Against All odds.
- 29:15What made you come up with that?
- 29:16Come on.
- 29:16Phil Collins would have,
- 29:17like, sold
- 29:18at you.
- 29:19This this is not Phil Collins.
- 29:23Nope.
- 29:24This is
- 29:24Doesn't sound anything like Phil Collins.
- 29:26This is a song about when this is basically a song that starts j JP and I's getting to know
- 29:37each other, budding a friendship into a romantic thing.
- 29:42So this kind of goes back to the very basics when everybody said, yeah.
- 29:52This is a because hey.
- 29:55I I won't throw shade because it's not a shady thing, but JP's comes from a a LDS background
- 30:04where it's kind of frowned upon.
- 30:07And, so we approached our we approached our relationship with respect to everybody else but
- 30:17still pursuing our own happiness until everybody realized, okay.
- 30:22This these guys are our soulmates.
- 30:25So that's how the song got going.
- 30:28I love these stories by every single track that you give us.
- 30:31I'll tell you.
- 30:31It's absolutely beautiful.
- 30:33This is Gareth Solovs, everybody.
- 30:34I hope you enjoy.
- 30:52That no one could see.
- 30:55They whispered doubts.
- 30:59They cast their stones, said we were lost, that we never find home.
- 31:08Some said it was the fading and that it wasn't right.
- 31:15But we knew in a horse, we could win this fight.
- 31:22So we held on tight through the darkest night.
- 31:29We would solace the haters if we didn't lose sight.
- 31:35But kissed over us when we stood our ground in a world of town.
- 31:45We never locked down.
- 31:48They said we'd fall, but we were so strong.
- 31:55Through the skeptics wrong, our love still going on through stormy weather and endless
- 32:06trials.
- 32:09We faced it all with unyielding smiles.
- 32:15Hand in hand, we walked this road with every step.
- 32:24I love only crows.
- 32:28Some said it was impossible, that we'd never last.
- 32:35But fighting each other, we divide our own cast.
- 32:42We divide the norm.
- 32:43We divide the norm.
- 32:45We silence the score.
- 32:47We silence the score.
- 32:49Whatever it shall be, our bond was reborn.
- 32:55Life's journey is unpredictable, but together we're unbreakable.
- 33:08Through every twist, through every turn, our laws are flavorful forever, but they called us
- 33:16risky.
- 33:17We were acting like booze, but we didn't care.
- 33:53On.
- 33:55Some let them talk, let them see what they wear.
- 34:02Our love's a testament,
- 34:27Awesome.
- 34:31Well, I'm not really into World Awesome because I was banned from it last time.
- 34:35What?
- 34:36I with my can come come up with my own.
- 34:39I'm amazingly beautiful and normal.
- 34:45I don't know.
- 34:47That one, I've that one, I I still wish I could redo you know, sometimes you do stuff and you
- 34:56go back and you're like, I wish I could redo something.
- 34:59And I
- 35:01You're not happy with that one?
- 35:05I'm I you know, I I I'm happy with the overall feel.
- 35:09I just there's things that I wanted to do that be it would have meant reimagining the entire
- 35:18song, and I'm like, it works for what it is.
- 35:21But it it it is a song, though, about the message, and it was you know, that that was the
- 35:29big thing.
- 35:30The I think I kinda captured the feel that I wanted.
- 35:34I'm never happy completely with
- 35:36something.
- 35:37Perfectionist.
- 35:38He really is.
- 35:38BD's manager, he is very, very much a perfectionist.
- 35:42But I think that, you know, I think you've got to be self critical to your own album.
- 35:46And when you bring albums out on day one, you know, actually listening to it back like this,
- 35:53it makes you think, actually, actually, did I choose the right one?
- 35:56Am I happy with it?
- 35:57Or
- 35:58True story.
- 36:00This is the first time I'm listening to the entire album from start to finish.
- 36:05Wow.
- 36:06Okay.
- 36:06I have not done it.
- 36:07I have not done it in order.
- 36:09This is the I'm listening to it for the first time as well.
- 36:13Obviously, I know the songs because I had to sing the things, and Jason knows the songs
- 36:18because yeah.
- 36:21Yeah.
- 36:21That face because he had to mix them and go, Michael, no more takes.
- 36:28No.
- 36:28No more takes.
- 36:29No more takes.
- 36:30That that flask, every time I see you, that flask gets bigger and bigger and bigger.
- 36:35You know?
- 36:36During this album, I bet that's, like, been filled quite a few times by the looks of it.
- 36:41Oh, yeah.
- 36:43Alright.
- 36:44What's next?
- 36:45Love is still coming while I get this ready.
- 36:48Tell us about the next track.
- 36:50Okay.
- 36:50So I am in love with this song.
- 36:53I love this song so much.
- 36:55I I we actually have made a music video for it that is, I think, going to be released soon.
- 37:03I I honestly do.
- 37:04But this is a prime example of me paying tribute and or an homage to someone that really
- 37:14affected me.
- 37:15And I never realized how much until I I had a reviewer listen to my last album and said, you
- 37:26remind me a lot of a male Celine Dion.
- 37:29If Celine Dion was a male yeah.
- 37:32What yeah.
- 37:32I mean, stupid.
- 37:34But I never realized how true that was until I went back and started also watching, like, her
- 37:44concert footage, how she approaches the song, her dramatics, her theatricality.
- 37:52And so I wanted to pay tribute to some of the artists that had really influenced me and or,
- 38:02you know, as an inspiration, and Celine was.
- 38:04And so I literally set out to make a song that I could hear Celine singing.
- 38:14And, also, I said on this album, I'm not gonna hold back vocally.
- 38:22I'm gonna do everything that I know I can possibly do going back to when I was a, you
- 38:27know, young kid singing the Bee Gees at the top of my lungs and journey and, you know, just
- 38:33wailing around in my head voice and falsetto and everything.
- 38:37And I'm like, everybody knows me as a straight belter.
- 38:41You know?
- 38:41And a lot of people tell me, you sound classical.
- 38:44We can really and which I take as a compliment, but there's a lot of other styles that floated
- 38:52around in my head that I never really got to release, and I didn't really release on the
- 38:58last album.
- 39:00It was straightforward pretty much straightforward belting and with a little bit
- 39:05of head voice or whatever.
- 39:08This album, I really pushed myself.
- 39:10And that guy right there really gave me the confidence when I, yeah, when I stepped up to
- 39:17the microphone to do this, and I was starting to feel like, I don't think I can do this.
- 39:22He was like, yeah.
- 39:23You can.
- 39:24We're we're gonna we're just gonna take our time and do it.
- 39:26If he didn't, Michael.
- 39:28Seriously.
- 39:28You know, look look at that pen waving.
- 39:30It's like, conductor is ready for you.
- 39:33If you weren't gonna go put this one out, especially for the lovely to lead me on, and we
- 39:37are tracking you to lead.
- 39:39We want you to hear this.
- 39:40Okay?
- 39:41So any social media or anything that can be sent out through to lead from anybody in the
- 39:48music industry, we would love for her to hear this because this is dedicated to her, and this
- 39:52is is still common.
- 40:23Every story you've been told didn't turn out right.
- 40:27Now you're second guessing every quiet night.
- 40:36You see what you're for, the ones that don't wait.
- 40:39Easy smiles, easy hops, no wait.
- 40:42And you start to wonder if you missed your chance.
- 40:46If love was never part of your plans, but need you to hear me when I say this low.
- 40:55Something has taken longer than you'd know.
- 41:01It's never too late.
- 41:04Love doesn't follow and resilience before you move.
- 41:20They'll rise above what you go with through.
- 41:27Love is still coming.
- 41:30It's already gone its way.
- 41:33Nothing you live through can keep it away.
- 41:40Love is still coming.
- 42:14But it's our pain to trust.
- 42:18Nothing around you feels like getting it out.
- 42:24I never too late.
- 42:27Your love doesn't follow a cock will pull you through and rise Oh, ever can move mountains,
- 43:20it can move through you, through every broken piece you've been walking through.
- 43:26Faith isn't allowed.
- 43:27It's what you hold inside when everything else says you should hide.
- 43:32And I know right now it doesn't feel the same, but I still know.
- 43:41Shouldn't I?
- 43:43But it knows where you who carry you through and rise above what
- 45:55What?
- 45:56JP's got his What's happened, JP?
- 46:00Why are you hiding, mister?
- 46:03I'm just having flashbacks to three weeks of videos.
- 46:11Oh, hey, Michael.
- 46:13Hey, Michael.
- 46:15What climbs?
- 46:17What vocal climbs?
- 46:19Holy crap.
- 46:20The tonality is just so perfect.
- 46:23The way that you could how long that you could hold out a note and manipulate your vocal
- 46:28quality and tone on that.
- 46:30Holy god.
- 46:32What a gift you have.
- 46:35Great song.
- 46:36Great.
- 46:37Great.
- 46:37I tell you what, that's the comments, Michael.
- 46:40All the way through that song, you've had people who's like, hey.
- 46:42Stand up on their arms.
- 46:44You know?
- 46:44We've had some messages through to you.
- 46:49Ken Meeky, never too late to blend.
- 46:51Great vocals, he said.
- 46:53That was from Ken.
- 46:55We've also had in from Ava to Lee.
- 46:57This one needs to be in a rom com movie.
- 47:01Okay.
- 47:02Especially close to the end or slow dancing.
- 47:05Okay.
- 47:07We like your visions on these songs.
- 47:11Let's get them all in.
- 47:12I'm liking this.
- 47:13I'm liking this.
- 47:14Did you imagine it being like that, Michael?
- 47:16Did you want it in a rom com?
- 47:17Of course.
- 47:20Of course.
- 47:20So what would it be?
- 47:21You know, if you had a rom com for this, you know, which who would be drawing in it?
- 47:26I think oh, if it was me.
- 47:29Of course.
- 47:31Who's your own rom com?
- 47:34Wow.
- 47:35Yeah.
- 47:35I don't know.
- 47:36You know, I I I don't write for myself.
- 47:42I I mean, initially, it's I want it to be the vision that I have, but I want
- 47:54Sorry about that, everybody.
- 47:56I missed you being great.
- 47:57But you do know the next one which is coming up is going to be I will stand.
- 48:03But I why yeah.
- 48:05Okay.
- 48:06Because Michael was talking, and he's the birthday boy.
- 48:08We don't wanna interrupt him.
- 48:09No.
- 48:10No.
- 48:10No.
- 48:10No.
- 48:10No.
- 48:10That's fine.
- 48:11You know, I all of my songs, I I would love to either see in a movie or on Broadway because I
- 48:19just those were that was my influence.
- 48:22That's why, you know, a lot of where a lot of my a lot of my security blanket came
- 48:32from movies and movies and Broadway and It's desperate to be played.
- 48:41That's what it is.
- 48:42That's what's going on.
- 48:43It's okay.
- 48:44So this song is just I want I wanted to make a song about sheer sheer dedication.
- 49:00And, you know, it it it's getting tougher and tougher for for people to find happiness.
- 49:10It's it's finding you know, it's it's getting harder for people to I don't know what's
- 49:20happening.
- 49:21I don't know what Beth's doing.
- 49:22I I think she's, like, completely, like she's, like, stopping at the traffic lights or
- 49:26something.
- 49:26Don't you get caught by the police?
- 49:29No.
- 49:30Well, I was going self on oh oh oh, without video, but I didn't wanna miss the party.
- 49:41Oh, okay.
- 49:45This song is just a I wanted a I wanted an anthem to although most of my songs are
- 49:54anthems.
- 49:55This is a song that I want people to say regardless of how tough it might get be out
- 50:07there
- 50:07out there.
- 50:11We need to declare that we are there for each other and there for ourselves.
- 50:18And, yeah, this one this one kind of came from a really weird spot, and then it changed.
- 50:28Like, how I wanted to do it changed.
- 50:31Poor Jason.
- 50:32This this was prime example of a song that started off one way, and then I'm like, no.
- 50:38I think I wanna do it this way.
- 50:41I honestly.
- 50:42And so it meant, okay.
- 50:44We're gonna redo
- 50:46some Everything.
- 50:48And I'll be thinking that we're gonna do this.
- 50:50Yeah.
- 50:52Wasn't quite dramatic quite dramatic enough for me when I made it.
- 50:59So I wanted it to be a little bit more dramatic.
- 51:02And then, okay.
- 51:04Now I wanna use a little bit more range.
- 51:07Oh my god.
- 51:08This song was.
- 51:10Let's put it on.
- 51:11Let's see how we go.
- 51:12I will stand everybody.
- 51:14Enjoy this next track.
- 51:15It's track number five on the album.
- 51:17Okay?
- 51:36Presses down.
- 51:42Dreams feel distant.
- 51:46Hope feels drowned.
- 52:03I'll be the hand you can always hold I made a vow.
- 52:13And I will let go through every storm.
- 52:20You'll always know I will stand and I will stand with every breath with all thy hands.
- 52:38I will fight and will defend to the very end.
- 52:52I will stand I will stand.
- 54:13I will stand with every breath.
- 54:18Who it's all I am.
- 54:36I will stand.
- 54:44Will stand.
- 54:50I will stand.
- 55:00I mean, the shelter in the rain, the steady cop when you feel pain.
- 55:07Hobby the light when the night is long, a guiding flame to keep you strong.
- 55:14Hobby the anchor when the waves are high.
- 55:17The lighthouse shining through the sky.
- 55:25I will stand.
- 55:29I will stand but with every prayer with all I am I will fight I will I will stand.
- 56:51Can you hear me?
- 56:52Yes.
- 56:53We can hear you.
- 56:54Wow.
- 56:54What a track.
- 56:56Hello?
- 56:57Can you hear me?
- 56:58Yes.
- 56:58Yes.
- 56:59Yeah.
- 56:59I cannot hear you guys.
- 57:01Oh, no.
- 57:03You're having my technical difficulties this afternoon, aren't you, Aida?
- 57:06You can't even when it got saved into a nice blue top just like
- 57:09My PC literally just crashed on me.
- 57:13There's black screens.
- 57:14I can't turn it on or off.
- 57:16The hard drive, like, completely fried.
- 57:19Oh, no.
- 57:20No idea.
- 57:21Cracks go out.
- 57:22So
- 57:23And come back in.
- 57:25I can still hear the music, Michael.
- 57:27You sound incredible as always.
- 57:29Yeah.
- 57:30Beautiful.
- 57:33Absolutely beautiful.
- 57:34Is it for me?
- 57:35Any West End in The UK would take that song.
- 57:39Any West End in The UK would take that song.
- 57:41That's God's honest truth.
- 57:42I was a man.
- 57:43I was taken back to my kid days going to the West End in London, and I just thought, you
- 57:48know what?
- 57:48Actually, someone singing that to me at the West End would be amazing.
- 57:53I would love it.
- 57:54You know, you are known for your theater, and you are known for your big vocals.
- 57:59You're known for your big tracks.
- 58:00And that one, it would resonate with, you know, with the greatest showman, that type of song,
- 58:06which basically tells everybody to do one.
- 58:08I will stand and do what the bloody hell I want.
- 58:10And that, for me, that's how powerful that song is.
- 58:14And I I Right.
- 58:16Well
- 58:17It's that song I really love, and it's kind of like a kind of what is that?
- 58:24Kind of like a dark horse that stuck in there.
- 58:28I but I think it really has I think it really has a lot of potential there, and I I had a
- 58:37blast singing it.
- 58:39Thank you, David.
- 58:40And yeah.
- 58:41I just I just I just wanted that kind of rousing building with a really strong chorus,
- 58:49like, you know, just that you could someone could repeat over and over and over and over
- 58:53again and just yeah.
- 58:55I I You've
- 58:57got some great comments coming in, birthday boy.
- 58:59You know, I hate to say happy birthday to You've also got oh, wow.
- 59:05What a voice coming through as well.
- 59:08Jeffy said for the Celine Dion track, Celine would have been very proud of you.
- 59:13That was from Jeffrey as well.
- 59:14So you've got some lovely comments coming in this afternoon, but we must get through to the
- 59:19next one because we have got lots more for you to enjoy this afternoon.
- 59:24What about you lot?
- 59:25Weather here in The UK is rather hot.
- 59:27Is it hot where you are?
- 59:30No.
- 59:30We haven't really had a summer yet here in Seattle.
- 59:33It's been kind of weird.
- 59:35Like, I'm waiting for, you know, a week of eighty, eighty five degree weather, and we're
- 59:41getting, like, seventy, sixty two, and 80.
- 59:45Anyway,
- 59:47take the risk.
- 59:48Was it risky if you put this one on there, or was it one that you're really happy to put on?
- 59:53Take the risk with me?
- 59:55This is just a really fun song.
- 59:59I kind of got inspiration from Jeffrey, our friend Jeffrey.
- 1:00:09I'm like, this is a song that I think he would kinda do as well, and it's just kinda fun.
- 1:00:16It's kind of it's kind of like an Ed Sheeran feel, I think.
- 1:00:20What do you think, babe?
- 1:00:23Yeah.
- 1:00:23Yeah.
- 1:00:24I wouldn't I'm
- 1:00:27It's it's like you're in you like this one.
- 1:00:29Oh, I'm quite looking forward to that.
- 1:00:31I'm not hurt you doing that cheer, but No.
- 1:00:33Okay?
- 1:00:33Take the risk, everybody.
- 1:00:35Enjoy.
- 1:00:55You keep your world inside the lines, afraid of what you might not find.
- 1:01:07Like my life was never built, better way.
- 1:01:11It shifts, it bends, it makes us free.
- 1:01:14But I can be the place you fall, the safest rest of all.
- 1:01:20There's no promise carved in stone, but you don't have to face a non doodle.
- 1:01:31So take a risk with me, Step into the mystery.
- 1:01:37I'll be the hand you hold the fire against the cold.
- 1:01:43We're road ahead to a winding stream, but I'll be constant as your dream.
- 1:01:50Love won't give a guarantee, but my love is certainty.
- 1:01:57So take the risk, take the risk with me.
- 1:02:16Learn.
- 1:02:20When shadows rise and down, I'll stand beside you crystal clear.
- 1:02:32And when the sun feels too loud out, it's too high above the crowd.
- 1:02:39I'll carry hope when yours feels gone.
- 1:02:42We'll find a place where we belong.
- 1:02:45Sometimes in me, it feels far too wide.
- 1:02:50But the sweetest love waits on the other side.
- 1:02:56So take a risk with me.
- 1:02:58Step into the mystery.
- 1:03:02I'll be the hand you hold the salted from the storm.
- 1:03:07The world may spin Step into the mystery.
- 1:04:08No more waiting on me.
- 1:04:11Come and cross this bridge.
- 1:04:14I'll be the voice that lifts you high The spot that fuels your fire through every loss,
- 1:04:21through every win, I'll love you deeper than the end.
- 1:04:26So take a risk with me.
- 1:04:29Together, we'll ride the destiny.
- 1:04:48Take a lead.
- 1:04:52Take the risk with me.
- 1:05:10Oh, Michael.
- 1:05:11Michael.
- 1:05:12Michael.
- 1:05:12Michael.
- 1:05:13What?
- 1:05:17I'm ufft.
- 1:05:21You bet someone caught again.
- 1:05:24Oh, man.
- 1:05:26I'm just glad my computer's working again.
- 1:05:29I don't know what in the world just happened.
- 1:05:32That's cool.
- 1:05:33Michael, bud, I'm a take my trust, take my vow, those words.
- 1:05:40Like yeah.
- 1:05:44Dude, you know how to write a song unlike anybody's business.
- 1:05:50I take it deep
- 1:05:52in my heart.
- 1:05:53I don't know where this gift of yours comes from, but I I pray that it never ceases and
- 1:05:58never stops.
- 1:05:59Thank you.
- 1:06:00Because I because
- 1:06:01you are an inspiration to a lot of people.
- 1:06:04And you may not realize that, but you are.
- 1:06:07I, you know, I I it's a weird thing.
- 1:06:11It's I get emotional a lot listening to the music, and I was when I watched the video the
- 1:06:19other night of love of woman's still coming, and I got super teary eyed again.
- 1:06:25And Jason says, what's wrong and or why?
- 1:06:29And I'm like, when you have something inside you that you've wanted to share since you were
- 1:06:36a little kid and you always thought you were just too weird or wasn't it wasn't your time or
- 1:06:45you weren't good enough, and you always looked at everybody else, and you you heard other
- 1:06:50people's opinions of you to have to see what has been inside you come alive, you know, not
- 1:07:03just on paper, but to come alive.
- 1:07:05And it is overwhelming.
- 1:07:08For me, it is incredibly overwhelming to to to hear my feelings, if that makes any sense.
- 1:07:18I know my feelings.
- 1:07:20I know I know what I feel, and I know where why I write that right in pipe.
- 1:07:29But to have it come back to me is is an overwhelming thing.
- 1:07:35And it's like, that's why I get so emotional listening to my stuff.
- 1:07:39It's not because I think I'm great.
- 1:07:41It's because it's finally out there.
- 1:07:44Like and I've been brave enough to to let it out.
- 1:07:50You know?
- 1:07:51And so and the comments, you know, I I'm still floored.
- 1:07:58You know, I'm still floored to this day when I go even go to karaoke and somebody comes up to
- 1:08:03me and says, dude, your voice is, like, ridiculous, I still am amazed by that, that
- 1:08:10somebody will take the time to say that because, you know, this is who I've wanted to
- 1:08:15be forever.
- 1:08:16This is what I wanted to do.
- 1:08:18So yeah.
- 1:08:19And I think the next track the next track that's coming up is that I can imagine, you
- 1:08:24know, Michael, I met you years ago, and we've been on a journey since December together.
- 1:08:29And I can imagine all of those feelings that you've gone through, you know, all those
- 1:08:33awards, the albums coming out, the film coming out.
- 1:08:37You know, every time we speak on the phone, that flood of emotion is just there.
- 1:08:42Not just because of, you know, the awards that you've won or the film coming out or but Every
- 1:08:49time I I think back to when you're writing these songs, it's a connection between you and
- 1:08:55the individual song.
- 1:08:56It's what's meant the most to you.
- 1:08:58Now you love the fact that in the spotlight with the award shows, with the magazine covers,
- 1:09:04you know, all of that.
- 1:09:05But I think you've always been so humbled by the fact this is all about you being able to
- 1:09:10tell anybody.
- 1:09:12This is my story.
- 1:09:13This is me.
- 1:09:14This is who I really am.
- 1:09:15And I've waited so long to tell you all exactly what's on my heart and it coming through, and
- 1:09:21Ryan said it perfectly.
- 1:09:23It's coming through every single part of this album.
- 1:09:26You know, you can really hear your heart, you know, just telling a story to us all, and it's
- 1:09:31beautiful.
- 1:09:33I've known for years.
- 1:09:35Well, yeah, of course.
- 1:09:37You're married to him.
- 1:09:38You're married to him.
- 1:09:40You know a lot of things about him.
- 1:09:42So yeah.
- 1:09:42See, Jamie has to do it every night, but we, as an audience, you know, followers of Michael and
- 1:09:47fans of Michael's.
- 1:09:48We're getting it.
- 1:09:51Maybe just have to start with it a lot of times.
- 1:09:54Yeah.
- 1:09:54What's the album release for your album, babe?
- 1:09:59I think we should do one.
- 1:10:00I think we should do one.
- 1:10:01It's next Wednesday.
- 1:10:03Anyway Michael,
- 1:10:06your your composing skills as well.
- 1:10:09I you're you're you just there's something about the way that you compose your music as
- 1:10:16well that really stands out amongst the crowd.
- 1:10:22And I don't know how to place my finger on it.
- 1:10:25I think if there's something that's more spiritually connected than you than than you're
- 1:10:31not telling us, perhaps?
- 1:10:36He's put in the background.
- 1:10:37I know what JP's up to in the background, but he's, like, doing a bit of a whistling kettle.
- 1:10:42They practically put the tea bag on because he knows we're halfway through.
- 1:10:45We are nearly halfway through, folks, of this amazing album.
- 1:10:49We are on track seven.
- 1:10:51I can't imagine.
- 1:10:53Okay.
- 1:10:53So I can't imagine, I think, is going to be I wrote this song.
- 1:10:59I I wanted to make an ultimate love song.
- 1:11:04And if you really listen to my music, it's obviously I'm very much in love, and I'm very
- 1:11:11grateful from because once again, people like me were told we couldn't find love or that it
- 1:11:21wasn't right.
- 1:11:22And I did, and I found someone that has dealt with the crazy and the good.
- 1:11:32Know?
- 1:11:32Mostly crazy.
- 1:11:33And the psychotic.
- 1:11:39So I started writing this song as an ultimate love song.
- 1:11:46And when I sent it over to Jason, when I finally finished it, he goes, this is gonna be
- 1:11:53ten minutes long.
- 1:11:55And he goes, do you
- 1:11:56realize you did?
- 1:11:57And he said, your bridge has 12 lines in it alone.
- 1:12:0216.
- 1:12:03Oh, 16 lines in it.
- 1:12:05And he's like, that's not normal.
- 1:12:0742, the answer to everything in the universe.
- 1:12:10I I said, I don't care.
- 1:12:12This is this is the song.
- 1:12:13I I will I will make it work.
- 1:12:16Can you hear me?
- 1:12:17Yes.
- 1:12:18We can hear you, bud.
- 1:12:19Okay.
- 1:12:20I What what happened to Michael?
- 1:12:21I'm right here.
- 1:12:23Michael's still with us.
- 1:12:24Yeah.
- 1:12:25So Is he?
- 1:12:26His picture's gone.
- 1:12:29So
- 1:12:34I ended up this song is only only You know,
- 1:12:37I wonder if there's a solar flare today.
- 1:12:40Think there's a silver flare with you, Ryan, today.
- 1:12:43No.
- 1:12:43I I it's like it's like I'm a jinx or something.
- 1:12:46You are.
- 1:12:47Because you're cutting Michael off and he's going red faced.
- 1:12:51Well, no.
- 1:12:53No.
- 1:12:53No.
- 1:12:54Want show it to him.
- 1:12:56First, my computer shuts down and completely goes blank.
- 1:12:59And then my my laptop, I can't hear the music from.
- 1:13:04And then I come back in, and then it goes back out.
- 1:13:06And I just
- 1:13:07I Yeah.
- 1:13:07But I everything My I would love to use your muscle's face right now.
- 1:13:14Ava, I feel your pain.
- 1:13:16Ava, I feel your pain right now.
- 1:13:18Hear about it?
- 1:13:20What a
- 1:13:20bad day.
- 1:13:21I can't say Michael.
- 1:13:23It's just this video.
- 1:13:24We
- 1:13:24are gonna be moving by just about to say Michael could finish.
- 1:13:28Michael.
- 1:13:30Okay.
- 1:13:32So
- 1:13:32Tell us about the song.
- 1:13:34So, anyway, so this song ended up only being five minutes and something, and I thought it
- 1:13:38was gonna be
- 1:13:39eight.
- 1:13:39Only.
- 1:13:40But I figured out I figured out a way to do this song that wasn't overly dramatic but very
- 1:13:47emotional.
- 1:13:47So this is a very emotionally driven song, but I think it's probably the most for me, the
- 1:13:56strongest love song.
- 1:13:58I I could see couples everywhere grabbing onto the song and singing it to each other.
- 1:14:04And that's kind of
- 1:14:06If it's one of those type of songs that it's gonna work, I'm gonna send it to as many
- 1:14:09females as I can because you never know.
- 1:14:11I might get some love into that.
- 1:14:12Okay.
- 1:14:13I can't imagine what I feel like.
- 1:14:16Here we go.
- 1:14:17Okay.
- 1:14:18Here we go.
- 1:14:38Questions as the world passed by, tracing shapes in the clouds above, trying to
- 1:14:44understand this thing called love.
- 1:14:47I couldn't imagine what my life might hold, who I'd become.
- 1:14:52I'm a story be told if I find a place that felt like home or always feel like I'm on my own.
- 1:15:01Couldn't imagine where I belong if I'd be fragile or somehow strong in a smiled, in the
- 1:16:08way you stayed, something in me stopped being afraid.
- 1:16:13And all those questions I used
- 1:16:15to
- 1:16:15chase started finding answers in your face, in late night long.
- 1:16:47Every doubt I used to know loses crowd when you say don't go.
- 1:16:54I couldn't imagine.
- 1:18:56Breathing through a world that doesn't lead to you.
- 1:19:01Every road, view, ends and begins with you.
- 1:19:11I couldn't imagine back when it was true.
- 1:19:19Now I can't imagine
- 1:19:41Bravo.
- 1:19:43Bravo.
- 1:19:46Fantastic, Michael.
- 1:19:48Fantastic.
- 1:19:49That one's gonna be a taste.
- 1:19:51I was like, ugh.
- 1:19:52Seriously.
- 1:19:53If you have a word with You words need to have this track.
- 1:19:57I feel getting buried in here.
- 1:19:59Can't hear anyone.
- 1:20:01You can't hear us?
- 1:20:02I can't even hear you, Michael.
- 1:20:04Oh, dear.
- 1:20:05Man, there's computer problems.
- 1:20:07That's okay.
- 1:20:08Okay.
- 1:20:09Can
- 1:20:09you hear me, Michael?
- 1:20:10Can't hear.
- 1:20:11Well, those who can hear are here now.
- 1:20:14Okay?
- 1:20:14But, Michael, wow.
- 1:20:15Yay.
- 1:20:19I I love that song.
- 1:20:22That song It's a beautiful one.
- 1:20:25It is.
- 1:20:26And it's not flamboyant.
- 1:20:28No.
- 1:20:28It's it's very even keel across the board.
- 1:20:31It's like, it's almost like an easy listening song.
- 1:20:34Right.
- 1:20:35It builds.
- 1:20:35I mean, it's a hard Oh, yeah.
- 1:20:37It's a hard song, but it doesn't
- 1:20:40I could never sing it.
- 1:20:41It's
- 1:20:43I don't you always ask me, oh, you should try to sing that.
- 1:20:46I'm like, no.
- 1:20:47It's your song.
- 1:20:48I can't sing your songs.
- 1:20:50They're yours.
- 1:20:52Yeah.
- 1:20:52That song is really amazing.
- 1:20:55Alright.
- 1:20:55So the next song is a funny story about this song.
- 1:20:59Don't we have to do a tea break thing?
- 1:21:01No.
- 1:21:02Mean, gonna have a track, and then we're gonna have our tea break because we've got a very
- 1:21:06special tea break to do this afternoon and also a very special reminder for Michael of what it
- 1:21:12used to be like on the time spotlight.
- 1:21:14Okay?
- 1:21:15So we'll bring the tea break in very shortly, but we are going to do beautiful drive.
- 1:21:20Okay.
- 1:21:20So this song is just fun.
- 1:21:22This is just a fun, fun, fun.
- 1:21:26In fact, when I wrote it, Jason goes, seriously.
- 1:21:30He went, nah.
- 1:21:32It's okay.
- 1:21:33It's an okay song.
- 1:21:34I'm like, but it's not supposed to be lyrically wow.
- 1:21:38This is a song all about attitude and just when the opening chord kicks, you'll hear it, and
- 1:21:47you'll know why I wrote this song the way I did because this song is just about fun, throwing
- 1:21:54the top down, having a good time.
- 1:21:58And so now Jason loves the song.
- 1:22:01But he liked it when I wrote it.
- 1:22:03He's like, nah.
- 1:22:04It's kinda basic to me.
- 1:22:06I like it.
- 1:22:08I like it.
- 1:22:08Well, beautiful drive.
- 1:22:09Let's see what you all think.
- 1:22:21Cruising down the boulevard, wind in our hair, top drop sunshine everywhere.
- 1:22:33God my sweetie by my side, blue.
- 1:23:09Radio playing our favorite song, singing along as we roam underneath the sky.
- 1:23:49So blue.
- 1:23:55Every curve, every turn takes us high up in the storm and up in the bay by night.
- 1:24:06Just me and you and the open road I love the story that's never been told.
- 1:24:17Drop in the top, feeling alive with you by my So let's keep on rolling, baby.
- 1:24:40Heard him hang on this journey to wander.
- 1:24:49Drop in the top with you by my side in this endless moment.
- 1:24:55Let's enjoy the ride.
- 1:25:17Is a different ending.
- 1:25:19I like that.
- 1:25:23Just like Me
- 1:25:24and more cowbell.
- 1:25:26Do the cowbell.
- 1:25:29Dude, Michael, that, like, needs to be in your musical for real.
- 1:25:33That's a fun song.
- 1:25:35It is.
- 1:25:35You are correct.
- 1:25:36It is just fun and cute, and it fits, though.
- 1:25:40See, when I hear that, I I picture you and Jason driving down the road together.
- 1:25:45And JP's like, yeah.
- 1:25:48Whatever.
- 1:25:49I I can see.
- 1:25:50I can reach out to you.
- 1:25:51He loves his convertible.
- 1:25:52Michael, your songs tell a story.
- 1:25:54And that's something that a lot of songwriters have struggled with, and I think you do an
- 1:26:03excellent job.
- 1:26:04It does.
- 1:26:06Completely.
- 1:26:07Like, for you, Ryan
- 1:26:09I can't hear you.
- 1:26:10Beth, your mic's muted.
- 1:26:12Oh, I said you are an incredible songwriter.
- 1:26:16And I am really curious about about the production and who does the drums and who does
- 1:26:27and who does the guitar.
- 1:26:31A lot of that is done with I hate to use to say this, but we use a lot of plug ins.
- 1:26:41We have gone out to for instruments that don't sound as good as we want them to be, we reach
- 1:26:48out to Fiverr.
- 1:26:49People the artists on Fiverr for $25.30 bucks, they'll you give them your music, and they'll
- 1:26:55play a track for you.
- 1:26:57Yeah.
- 1:26:57A lot of the stuff a lot of the stuff that I I that we do is either composed with what I think
- 1:27:10is the most amazing thing for an artist who can't play a lot of instruments.
- 1:27:15We use this tool called Vocella that you literally sing into the microphone.
- 1:27:23It's, like, $300 for the program, but it has something like 1,100 different instruments.
- 1:27:30And you can literally sing or make make noise, and it gives you your tempo and your rhythm, or
- 1:27:41it gives you a string section.
- 1:27:45It gives you guitar section, everything.
- 1:27:47So but Beautiful.
- 1:27:49For a lot of the really good live sounding stuff, we've gone to Fiverr and had musicians
- 1:27:58play it for us.
- 1:27:59We also use a MIDI keyboard.
- 1:28:02We use yeah.
- 1:28:04It we we've used samples.
- 1:28:08Yeah.
- 1:28:09Yeah.
- 1:28:10There's there's it's a lot of work.
- 1:28:13I'm trying to get a job for you to drummer.
- 1:28:15I think she's trying to get a job.
- 1:28:16She wants to drum for you.
- 1:28:18Woah.
- 1:28:19What?
- 1:28:20I you you you know?
- 1:28:21Everybody.
- 1:28:21No.
- 1:28:22No.
- 1:28:22No.
- 1:28:23No.
- 1:28:23No.
- 1:28:24Please. No. No.
- 1:28:25No. No.
- 1:28:25No.
- 1:28:25Oh, hey, Nava.
- 1:28:26Can you hear me back?
- 1:28:28What?
- 1:28:28Yeah.
- 1:28:28We can hear you.
- 1:28:31It's a little choppy, but we can't hear you.
- 1:28:34Let's get that question off of the team, Brian.
- 1:28:36Okay?
- 1:28:40Imagine capturing the raw essence of nature with its infinite color and beauty.
- 1:28:49Now, envision turning that into something truly transformative.
- 1:28:55Pure and easy tea cultivates the goodness of nature's bounty into fuel for your body.
- 1:29:02We are what we drink.
- 1:29:05Pure and easy tea, the pure nourishment your body craves.
- 1:29:16Did you did you miss it, Michael?
- 1:29:18Did
- 1:29:19you miss it?
- 1:29:20I love my Pure and
- 1:29:21Easy Tea.
- 1:29:22No.
- 1:29:23Let's get off the topic of music because we've got a little bit of a break.
- 1:29:27Okay?
- 1:29:27And I think there's only one thing to do for the break because it's birthday, boys.
- 1:29:31So after three, everybody.
- 1:29:32One, two, three.
- 1:29:34Happy
- 1:29:35Happy birthday to you.
- 1:29:38Happy birthday to you.
- 1:29:41There's a train wreck.
- 1:29:43Happy birthday, dear Michael.
- 1:29:46Michael.
- 1:30:01Michael, it is your birthday today.
- 1:30:04Did you wake up with lots of birthday messages and presents?
- 1:30:09Not a lot of presents, but a
- 1:30:11lot of There you go.
- 1:30:13Go ahead.
- 1:30:13Get off to the shops.
- 1:30:15Go get him some presents.
- 1:30:18I've got them.
- 1:30:20He hasn't gotten them yet.
- 1:30:22Oh.
- 1:30:23I woke up there was, like I think I woke up to, like, a 150 birthday messages so far.
- 1:30:32So that makes me feel good.
- 1:30:34I gave him the most important one, but I did it in person.
- 1:30:38Right.
- 1:30:39Okay.
- 1:30:42It's fine.
- 1:30:43No.
- 1:30:43I just said
- 1:30:44I just I woke up.
- 1:30:45I rolled over.
- 1:30:46I said, happy birthday, you old bastard.
- 1:30:51Hey, Michael.
- 1:30:53Yes.
- 1:30:53Hey, Michael.
- 1:30:57Okay.
- 1:30:57And and cut
- 1:30:58that about wishing Michael a happy birthday.
- 1:31:01But the answer
- 1:31:03Happy birthday, Michael.
- 1:31:04The answer that I have or the comment I have about the production is it's spectacular.
- 1:31:13It's wonderful.
- 1:31:15The drums are played so incredibly tastefully.
- 1:31:19The parts that you add, they're not overplayed.
- 1:31:22The space in between, the pauses.
- 1:31:26It's done so incredibly well.
- 1:31:30So, yes, a person can have these tools, but they can overuse the tools.
- 1:31:34You don't overuse them.
- 1:31:36You use them to your advantage.
- 1:31:39I will tell you.
- 1:31:40I I will tell you that a lot of that is the collaboration between Jason and I.
- 1:31:47Can you repeat what she said?
- 1:31:48Because I can't couldn't hear her or whatever.
- 1:31:51She wanted it production wise, she was like she was impressed with not just the sound, but how
- 1:31:57well the sound was implemented.
- 1:31:59Like, it wasn't overdone and, like, it was tasty.
- 1:32:02And a lot of
- 1:32:04that restraint.
- 1:32:05And and yeah.
- 1:32:09A a of people think that I am pre you know, kind of over the top or flamboyant or whatever
- 1:32:17the case may be.
- 1:32:19And and to a point, that's true.
- 1:32:22But musically, I've always been intrigued by things that don't sound the way they should be.
- 1:32:37It's like on this like, a prime example on this song is the fact that I literally wrote this
- 1:32:45song with a very blues feel, but I didn't wanna be stuck just in that.
- 1:32:53So and Jason is a really big fan of syncopation.
- 1:32:57Like, he loves very Loves.
- 1:33:01You know, he doesn't like routine things.
- 1:33:04So that plays off both of us.
- 1:33:06It was like because when you're working with when you're working with plug ins or you're
- 1:33:13working with, you know what's the word I'm thinking of?
- 1:33:20Patches.
- 1:33:21You know, you get sometimes it's for thirty to forty five seconds, but you don't wanna use all
- 1:33:28that.
- 1:33:29You know?
- 1:33:29But it gives you that base to play off of, and then you can pull in and out of it and go, I
- 1:33:35like that.
- 1:33:35I like this.
- 1:33:36And then once you get something live drums are so important.
- 1:33:45You know?
- 1:33:45You know that.
- 1:33:46You're a drummer.
- 1:33:47You know?
- 1:33:48And so for us, I think aside from the melody, for me, it's always been how does this song
- 1:34:01sound rhythmically?
- 1:34:03And Jason is incredibly great at that.
- 1:34:07You're using, like, great tonal sounds, great snare, great bass, great toms, great great
- 1:34:17simple, great percussion.
- 1:34:19There's nothing that I would go, you know, that's not a good sound.
- 1:34:26I mean, you're really picking some great sound.
- 1:34:29I think We have I honestly, we have and and I'm not embarrassed to say this because we do this
- 1:34:37for a living pretty much.
- 1:34:42We probably have a sound bank of about 3,500 sounds now.
- 1:34:47We've because we have a studio.
- 1:34:49We have Autumni.
- 1:34:50We have Coachella.
- 1:34:53I have literally spent probably 4 to $500 just in patches, chord structures, drum structures.
- 1:35:03And once you find something that you and you're like me.
- 1:35:07I want something to sound the absolute best if it's going to be sampled or used in in in our
- 1:35:16music.
- 1:35:16And so we're we're really pretty picky that way.
- 1:35:21And this is why it's taken us two and a half years.
- 1:35:25And it's been an absolute brilliant album.
- 1:35:27We are on track eight, everybody.
- 1:35:30We're gonna have to get forward.
- 1:35:31Okay?
- 1:35:31Or we could be doing production on the album for the next ten hours.
- 1:35:36Okay?
- 1:35:36Okay.
- 1:35:36We are
- 1:35:37gonna have to get into it because we've still got about six, seven great songs to bring you.
- 1:35:42And the next one, if you could only see through my eyes, Michael Cagle, tell us all about it.
- 1:35:49Okay.
- 1:35:51It's another stupid love song.
- 1:35:52Oh my god.
- 1:35:53I never realized how much I wrote love songs I wrote.
- 1:35:56Put it on
- 1:35:57a loop.
- 1:35:58Oh, I
- 1:35:58wrote this song for Jason.
- 1:36:00Okay.
- 1:36:00Oh, wait.
- 1:36:01I wrote the next one for Jason too.
- 1:36:03Oh, that one too.
- 1:36:04Oh, and that one.
- 1:36:05Okay.
- 1:36:05And I wrote that one for Jason as well.
- 1:36:07They're not just but they're not just for him.
- 1:36:09I think these are songs that are universally understood.
- 1:36:13Really?
- 1:36:14Well, no.
- 1:36:15I don't want because not everybody's gonna love Jason, but they're gonna love the person that
- 1:36:21they're with.
- 1:36:21And
- 1:36:21Everybody loves Jason.
- 1:36:24Everybody loves Jason.
- 1:36:26Everybody loves JP.
- 1:36:28I've worked
- 1:36:28with JP.
- 1:36:29Point.
- 1:36:29I'm just gonna put it on because at the end of day, we all know this about Jason.
- 1:36:33So if I could oversee you, move our eyes.
- 1:36:36He said
- 1:36:38he he was feeling down about getting old and not being attractive and not being as good
- 1:36:44looking as he was and, you know, that age is and I'm like
- 1:36:48How are doing?
- 1:36:48And so I literally said to him, yeah.
- 1:36:51But that's okay because you don't see yourself through my eyes.
- 1:36:56And then I'm like
- 1:36:59Oh, Alright.
- 1:37:01Let's get over this song because Jason's, like, pulling faces at everybody now.
- 1:37:05Look.
- 1:37:23We've walked a thousand roads, you and me.
- 1:37:30Not the boys we were, but all that we could be.
- 1:37:38Times written stories on our skin.
- 1:37:44Every lot of memory of where we've been.
- 1:37:52And you say the years have taken that swell, We don't run like we used to, chasing the dawn,
- 1:39:02but we've built a world where love keeps So when you doubt, just remember this truth.
- 1:42:21No one's more perfect than growing old with you.
- 1:42:43I hate me.
- 1:42:45I hate me.
- 1:42:46I love that.
- 1:42:47What do you hate me so much?
- 1:42:48No.
- 1:42:48You don't.
- 1:42:49I guess I just I hate you.
- 1:42:52Jeff, prime example on this song, what we are talking about.
- 1:42:58My drum fill when I first was working on this was a lot more allowed.
- 1:43:03No sound.
- 1:43:04Can you guys hear me?
- 1:43:05I can hear you.
- 1:43:06Yes.
- 1:43:07If you can hear me.
- 1:43:09I can't hear you guys.
- 1:43:10Okay.
- 1:43:11I'm back out again.
- 1:43:12This is so distracting.
- 1:43:13I'm sorry, Michael.
- 1:43:14No.
- 1:43:15You're fine.
- 1:43:15Don't worry.
- 1:43:15Again.
- 1:43:17Okay.
- 1:43:21Technology.
- 1:43:23I swear there is something happening in the solar system that is affecting
- 1:43:28people's health.
- 1:43:29Is Our blowing up all around us.
- 1:43:32Like, everybody's having their, like, switches being tripped every now and again, which is
- 1:43:36where I just run to.
- 1:43:38I think the heat is playing, like, dividends, especially in The UK with everybody.
- 1:43:43Alright.
- 1:43:43Next song.
- 1:43:44Next song.
- 1:43:45Next song.
- 1:43:46Okay.
- 1:43:46Track number 10.
- 1:43:47Let's go to track number 10.
- 1:43:49Where have we got to mister?
- 1:43:51We have got to Dream Wheel.
- 1:43:53It's the next one.
- 1:43:53Tell us about Dream Wheel.
- 1:43:55Okay.
- 1:43:56Alright.
- 1:43:57I love the okay.
- 1:44:00I wrote this song.
- 1:44:01This is the fastest song I've ever written ever.
- 1:44:05Fastest?
- 1:44:07Fastest song I've ever written ever.
- 1:44:10Absolutely the fastest song.
- 1:44:11I think I had this song completed lyrically, knew what I wanted.
- 1:44:17Well, when you hear it, it's not hard to figure out.
- 1:44:19It's not musically elaborate.
- 1:44:22But I wrote the song complete from idea to completed in about twenty five to thirty
- 1:44:33minutes.
- 1:44:34The lyrics.
- 1:44:36The lyrics.
- 1:44:36Because it's the lyrics.
- 1:44:38JP is like, just the lyrics.
- 1:44:40Okay.
- 1:44:41I was gonna say, wait a minute.
- 1:44:42Because I knew I because I knew what I wanted.
- 1:44:46I wanted a song that honored I wanted a song that honored all my favorite movies.
- 1:44:52Because as a kid that was felt very alien, very weird, very movies were my escape, and they
- 1:45:02still are to this day.
- 1:45:03And so
- 1:45:05this Universal.
- 1:45:06This is a Easter egg.
- 1:45:10What do they call it?
- 1:45:10A card?
- 1:45:12The Easter egg.
- 1:45:13Yeah.
- 1:45:15To all my favorite movies.
- 1:45:20And, yeah, it did and this
- 1:45:22was We never get this on the outside spotlight.
- 1:45:24What we can do is we can all come back and say how many failed would we recognize because we
- 1:45:29were gonna do that on unsigned spotlight.
- 1:45:31Remember?
- 1:45:31We were.
- 1:45:32We we
- 1:45:32we'll do it now.
- 1:45:33We'll come back.
- 1:45:34We'll listen to the song.
- 1:45:35We'll say, right.
- 1:45:36I heard back to the future.
- 1:45:38Okay?
- 1:45:38We'll see how many we want, see how many we can get correct.
- 1:45:41Okay?
- 1:45:41Michael, put in.
- 1:45:42We really look forward to it.
- 1:45:43This is really real, everybody.
- 1:45:45Am I allowed?
- 1:45:47No.
- 1:45:47Oh, JP, of course, you're allowed.
- 1:45:50No.
- 1:45:52I've got the lyrics.
- 1:45:53I can count them.
- 1:45:57JP, you're banned from the competition.
- 1:46:02Alright.
- 1:46:11When the world stops, passion like scene gone wrong.
- 1:46:14Build stacking high and the days feel long.
- 1:46:18I
- 1:46:18close my eyes, flip the switch and I'm gone to a silver screen where I truly belong.
- 1:46:24Holler at the moon with the wolf man's grin.
- 1:46:27I find gravity when I take back room for a spin.
- 1:46:32Back to the future embodying dark, eating Mars and we're the Halloween moon, sharing a water
- 1:47:18with Stitch dancing on the blue balloons.
- 1:47:21I'm on the road with the bed and pedal the floor yelling Geronimo with the doctor, every
- 1:47:26steps of the tundra storm.
- 1:47:28Shading smart ass quimps with dead bull, breaking the fourth wall.
- 1:47:32Yet in my dreamscape, I can literally do it all.
- 1:47:40No bills, no pain, just scenes are still slow.
- 1:48:27Mowling ride where the hard lights go.
- 1:48:30Clip onion stunts with Indiana Jones.
- 1:48:33Dodging chopsticks with whips and bones.
- 1:48:37Singing a showstuff, Oscar in sight.
- 1:48:40In my dream, will I hold a spotlight?
- 1:48:43Lights, cameras passed away to a world where I get to save the day rule.
- 1:48:50Credits on the doubt and fear.
- 1:48:53I'm a star when the dreams appear.
- 1:48:58I'm swimming with jaws living free and wild.
- 1:49:02Toothless at my side, I'm like a fearless just press play and set me free.
- 1:49:33I
- 1:49:53Wow.
- 1:49:54I think I know we've got one of them because Ryan's gone and got changed as though it was
- 1:49:59Indiana Jones moment coming into that song.
- 1:50:04So that was Indiana Jones was one of the guests with Jeffrey.
- 1:50:07Actually, she'll go to the audience because Jeffrey's actually probably guessed all of
- 1:50:10these.
- 1:50:11So he said, Michael, Indiana Jones, was it in the song or wasn't it?
- 1:50:16It was.
- 1:50:17Right?
- 1:50:17Yep.
- 1:50:17Got on, Jeffrey.
- 1:50:20ET.
- 1:50:20He heard ET.
- 1:50:21Was it in?
- 1:50:22Yep.
- 1:50:23Okay.
- 1:50:25And, of course, we knew Michael, Harry Potter would be put in there with the Slytherin
- 1:50:29reference.
- 1:50:30We knew that.
- 1:50:32Jeffy's also a god with Wicked.
- 1:50:35Yep.
- 1:50:36Yes.
- 1:50:36We do.
- 1:50:37Oh, yep.
- 1:50:37Back to the Future.
- 1:50:39Yep.
- 1:50:40Godzilla.
- 1:50:41Yep.
- 1:50:42Yep.
- 1:50:42Star Wars.
- 1:50:43Yep.
- 1:50:44Yep.
- 1:50:44Deadpool.
- 1:50:45I didn't where were the Deadpool weapons?
- 1:50:48Deadpool's in there.
- 1:50:49In there.
- 1:50:50Dude.
- 1:50:50Creating smart ass quips with Deadpool.
- 1:50:52I heard it.
- 1:50:53Breaking the Breaking the fourth wall.
- 1:50:54Yep.
- 1:50:55Breaking the fourth wall.
- 1:50:56Yeah.
- 1:50:57Jaws and many more.
- 1:50:59Anyone else got any all the advances or the ones that we put in?
- 1:51:02Or JP would tell us all of them which we'll put in the actual for yourself.
- 1:51:06Michael, my question to you, and I've been a a hard ass towards you about it.
- 1:51:13And I will continue to be a hard ass towards you when I first heard this song.
- 1:51:18Did you you change the lyrics recently?
- 1:51:21You only changed one lyric.
- 1:51:24No.
- 1:51:25The only lyric that I changed well, no.
- 1:51:27Because I added I I I added Slytherin in the in the studio.
- 1:51:33One.
- 1:51:34And then I also, I had a reference to zombies, and I got rid of the zombies, and I put in I
- 1:51:47can't remember.
- 1:51:48I think it was the Indiana Jones.
- 1:51:53Nope.
- 1:51:55What did I replace zombies with?
- 1:51:58You replaced zombies with
- 1:52:01He's got the wiz.
- 1:52:02Casting wand effects with casting wand effects as a Slytherin.
- 1:52:06Okay.
- 1:52:07Yeah.
- 1:52:07That makes
- 1:52:08sense because
- 1:52:09it's a two syllable word, so that makes sense.
- 1:52:11With Indiana Jones Indiana Jones, five syllable word versus zombie.
- 1:52:21So that makes sense.
- 1:52:22Good.
- 1:52:23Yeah, man.
- 1:52:23Good.
- 1:52:23Ryan, what are desperately trying to get through?
- 1:52:25Ryan, why is waving these hands frantically?
- 1:52:27What's up, Ryan?
- 1:52:28So my thing that I was originally saying is, are you going to write a version of this with
- 1:52:35just Universal movies?
- 1:52:36So that way Universal Studios can play your song while you're walking through the park with
- 1:52:42you.
- 1:52:42Idea.
- 1:52:43Brilliant idea.
- 1:52:44Why?
- 1:52:44I
- 1:52:45and I'm just waiting for all this to do.
- 1:52:47Yes.
- 1:52:47I'm gonna do what I call the Universal dream reel, and I'll send that to them, and then I'm
- 1:52:53gonna do a Disney dream reel.
- 1:52:55Oh, okay.
- 1:52:55Great.
- 1:52:56I'm a did.
- 1:52:56Brilliant.
- 1:52:57Excellent.
- 1:52:57Fantastic, Ryan.
- 1:52:59Me and you talk Would you would you like me to list off all of the
- 1:53:01different movies that were in the show or in the show?
- 1:53:05Keep going.
- 1:53:05Keep going then.
- 1:53:08Okay.
- 1:53:10The Wolfman?
- 1:53:11Yeah.
- 1:53:12Wolfman.
- 1:53:15Defying Gravity from Wicked, Back to the Future, Jaws, Toothless from How to Train Your
- 1:53:24Dragon, Godzilla, obviously, Star Wars, The Great Escape.
- 1:53:31Oh.
- 1:53:32Yep.
- 1:53:33Trick or Treat, which is a scary movie, Lilo and Stitch Yeah.
- 1:53:42Smokey and the Bandit, the doctor from doctor who, Deadpool, Dreamscape, and Jurassic Park,
- 1:53:57Harry Potter, ET, and the greatest showman.
- 1:54:03I'll tell you what, there's only one person that 19 people in the whole of the world who
- 1:54:07could do a song which has got so many movies in it.
- 1:54:10That's amazing.
- 1:54:11There are a total of 19 references to 19 different movies.
- 1:54:15Wow.
- 1:54:15You've gotta say that.
- 1:54:16You've gotta you've gotta say that.
- 1:54:18That'd be absolutely brilliant.
- 1:54:19The cinemas just love it.
- 1:54:20For the Oscars right there.
- 1:54:22That's pretty pretty pretty good.
- 1:54:24Gotta do
- 1:54:24one for the Oscar winners, Michael, and submit it to the Oscars.
- 1:54:27Would be all night, mate.
- 1:54:28Seriously.
- 1:54:29Right.
- 1:54:29Okay.
- 1:54:30Track 11.
- 1:54:31Where are we?
- 1:54:32We are on Track 11.
- 1:54:34Jesus.
- 1:54:35We're on this ride, I think, it's meant to say.
- 1:54:37I'm just gonna double check.
- 1:54:39We're on this ride together.
- 1:54:40We have been on this ride together because we're on track 11.
- 1:54:43Tell us about this one.
- 1:54:44Right.
- 1:54:44So another one of these songs that came came towards the very end of putting the album
- 1:54:51together.
- 1:54:51I I actually had to bump some tracks to make room for the three new ones.
- 1:54:56I love this song.
- 1:54:57I am obsessed with this song because it's got elements of it's got elements of kind of a
- 1:55:06yacht rock feel, but it's contemporary yacht rock feel.
- 1:55:11And then this is kind of an homage to kind of a Sam Harris feel to it as well.
- 1:55:25Sam Harris was a big influence on my life and still is.
- 1:55:29I think one of the best vocalists I've ever heard ever.
- 1:55:32And so this song kind of plays into that kind of r and b kind of more of a soulful sound, but
- 1:55:43very laid back and a really nice build.
- 1:55:47Like, this song just goes from you'll hear it.
- 1:55:50I I really put
- 1:55:52it on.
- 1:55:52I'm really excited now.
- 1:55:53Okay?
- 1:55:54Here we go.
- 1:56:12I've done come with a map of one inside.
- 1:56:19Twists and turns we never see in time.
- 1:56:25One day you'll fight next we may stand.
- 1:56:32Trudden makes sense, but we don't understand.
- 1:56:38It's very high, every fall, every storm we weather.
- 1:56:45One thing I know we're holding on together.
- 1:56:51We're on this road together.
- 1:56:55No way to know forever where this road is gonna lead.
- 1:57:02Oh, who it's gonna be?
- 1:57:32Crazy nights and days that break your heart, moments that can tear your world apart, but
- 1:57:41every tear, every laugh, free share is proof that we're still standing here.
- 1:57:47When you're weak, I'll be the strengths you lean on.
- 1:57:53When I fall, you're the reason I hold on.
- 1:57:59We're on this fight together.
- 1:58:03Don't wait to know forever where this home is gonna lead.
- 1:58:10Oh, who would gonna be?
- 1:58:13But where bright in every chapter in this story ever after.
- 1:58:20Let the world spin how it wants to spin through the lost, the love, the chaos we're in.
- 1:58:28Yeah.
- 1:58:29Whatever comes, whatever tide or weather, we're on this ride together.
- 1:58:40So when the night feels too heavy to breathe in the lies too far to see, just take my head,
- 1:58:50we'll make it through.
- 1:58:52We'll find the way we always do.
- 1:58:58We can't together.
- 1:59:58Ride together.
- 2:00:00Yeah.
- 2:00:01Hold on.
- 2:00:02Sigh it down.
- 2:01:03Ain't that the truth?
- 2:01:05No.
- 2:01:05I wouldn't change anything.
- 2:01:10What a fucking crater.
- 2:01:36Warning explicit lyrics?
- 2:01:40Nope.
- 2:01:43I didn't hear any explicit lyrics.
- 2:01:46I'm really excited to hear what Orlys thinks.
- 2:01:50The energy was absolutely spectacular.
- 2:01:53I love the energy.
- 2:01:55I just love the feel of the whole song.
- 2:01:58It it just just Michael, your voice just carries and transcends throughout.
- 2:02:06I I mean, just the fact that you could hold a note that long and modulate it to the my god.
- 2:02:13To the pitch is just incredible.
- 2:02:19I just had to change that.
- 2:02:21Can everybody hear me?
- 2:02:23Yeah.
- 2:02:23Yeah.
- 2:02:24They don't call him ballad belter for nothing.
- 2:02:27Well
- 2:02:27That's they definitely don't.
- 2:02:29No.
- 2:02:29They definitely don't.
- 2:02:30And a great, great performance again.
- 2:02:32You know?
- 2:02:35Beautiful.
- 2:02:36I I know.
- 2:02:37And and the ending, me and me and Jason kind of went around and around, and I I the ending, I
- 2:02:46was always planning on throwing the f word in there because that's I really wanted it to end
- 2:02:51that way.
- 2:02:52I made it a little bit more subtle.
- 2:02:55And and
- 2:02:56That was subtle?
- 2:02:57No.
- 2:02:57I made it a little Originally, he made it more subtle.
- 2:03:00And I I wish you had kept it subtle.
- 2:03:03And Jason had said, you know what?
- 2:03:07It's it's built up to that, and it's such a catch you in the moment and then comes back
- 2:03:13that it works better like that.
- 2:03:15And so I don't know.
- 2:03:17I've I've had goods, and I've had positive and negative feedback.
- 2:03:21Not really negative.
- 2:03:22You know, obviously, there'd be, like, a radio in if it ever went on.
- 2:03:26But, you know, the nice thing about indie radio is you can kinda say what you want.
- 2:03:31But do you I thought it was
- 2:03:32We can't.
- 2:03:33Artistically, it's
- 2:03:35I absolutely love it.
- 2:03:36Artistically, Michael, absolutely love it.
- 2:03:39It just catches you off guard.
- 2:03:41And as soon as I heard it, I went like, yeah.
- 2:03:44Just the
- 2:03:45energy and the voice
- 2:03:47and just the buildup to it.
- 2:03:49It was just like, yes.
- 2:03:50Like, he said it.
- 2:03:51Like, it went.
- 2:03:52Yes.
- 2:03:53It
- 2:03:53was It was amazing.
- 2:03:55It had a shock factor for me definitely when I heard
- 2:03:57I saw your face.
- 2:03:59You went you were just, like, enjoying this it was cute.
- 2:04:02You're enjoying the saga that all of sudden.
- 2:04:05Yeah.
- 2:04:05I I got people's different reactions.
- 2:04:07You know?
- 2:04:07I'm watching everybody on the bottom while they're listening to this song.
- 2:04:10You've got some people just tapping away, enjoying the songs.
- 2:04:13You got some people like, yeah.
- 2:04:14Actually, you got other people just like, I love being like, watching the show.
- 2:04:19It's great to watch.
- 2:04:20You okay, JP?
- 2:04:22Oh, yeah.
- 2:04:24I'm fine.
- 2:04:25No.
- 2:04:25My mother hated it.
- 2:04:26I'm sure.
- 2:04:30Hating on the song.
- 2:04:31We'll never listen to it again because she doesn't like the end.
- 2:04:35Why?
- 2:04:35When did she say that?
- 2:04:37When I was talking to her on the phone.
- 2:04:39What?
- 2:04:40Oh.
- 2:04:41Well, she well, that's a that's a bit of an that's like No.
- 2:04:45No.
- 2:04:45No.
- 2:04:45She didn't No offense.
- 2:04:46Let's let me be let me be clear.
- 2:04:49She'll listen she will listen to the radio edit version, but she won't listen to Okay.
- 2:04:56Swear in it.
- 2:04:57Yeah.
- 2:04:58Just like she'll never listen to FAFO.
- 2:05:00A lot of a lot of
- 2:05:01a lot of LDS, myself being one of them, do not appreciate that word.
- 2:05:08For some reason, I don't know why.
- 2:05:10Don't appreciate that word, Ryan?
- 2:05:12I don't like the f word.
- 2:05:13I honestly do not like the f word.
- 2:05:15I try my best not
- 2:05:16to driving.
- 2:05:17Very out.
- 2:05:18Okay.
- 2:05:18Since
- 2:05:19when you're
- 2:05:19driving driving and
- 2:05:22get yeah.
- 2:05:22Alright.
- 2:05:23You're correct.
- 2:05:24I'm like I said, I am working on it.
- 2:05:27Next song.
- 2:05:28Next song.

- 2:05:49like that.
- 2:05:49That's typical you, Richard.
- 2:05:51Okay?
- 2:05:53There you go, Richard.

- 2:06:38Like Oh.
- 2:06:39Song that you would wanna have sex with or sex
- 2:06:44Hey.
- 2:06:44Dad, fool.

- 2:06:47Hell.
- 2:06:49Come on.
- 2:06:50Seriously?
- 2:06:52I don't think there are any kids watching.
- 2:06:54Okay.
- 2:06:55I'm doing it for birthday, Michael, but seriously, come on.
- 2:06:58What?
- 2:07:01Dude, you you all know there are certain songs that put you in the mood, and you're like, and
- 2:07:06that's kind It's a romantic song.
- 2:07:10It's a very, very seductive romantic song.
- 2:07:15You'll hear a very different side of my vocals on this.
- 2:07:19Okay.
- 2:07:19I really, really loved playing with.
- 2:07:24It's not about Walter.
- 2:07:26It's very much
- 2:07:29Okay.
- 2:07:30Get your mind out of that gutter over there.
- 2:07:32Why?
- 2:07:33Wait.
- 2:07:33I see.
- 2:07:33What is so funny?
- 2:07:35What did I say?
- 2:07:36It's JP.
- 2:07:39He's dying.
- 2:07:40Play with it.
- 2:07:41Play with JP is dying over there.
- 2:07:43Play with JP?
- 2:07:44What?
- 2:07:45No.
- 2:07:46I'm at work.
- 2:07:48Oh my
- 2:07:50god.
- 2:07:50This just went too far.
- 2:07:52And this is going to We're gonna turn
- 2:07:54the fuck.
- 2:07:55I'm I'm gonna play Endless Deny.
- 2:07:57I'm just not gonna try to if yeah.
- 2:07:59It's going weird.
- 2:08:00But Endless Deny.
- 2:08:02Oh my god.
- 2:08:03Oh my god.
- 2:08:04We're done for.
- 2:08:10I'm gonna open up the windows.
- 2:08:19Snow dancing to the quakes and tide.
- 2:08:27The dazzling foes, they watch you Figures trace secrets we promise to keep.
- 2:08:49Everywhere's but touch a spark ignites your lips on my skin setting spots of the night.
- 2:08:56Can you feel the way the unit can't believe that you are mine.
- 2:09:33Say in this moment, frozen in time.
- 2:13:03Yeah, bud.
- 2:13:04So
- 2:13:07your attempt was more of a success than it's an attempt.
- 2:13:12Yeah.
- 2:13:12Thank you.
- 2:13:14I I I I kinda got that Celine Dion love song feeling from that song.
- 2:13:20To a point.
- 2:13:22I felt I could hear that inspiration there.
- 2:13:25Is that Yeah.
- 2:13:26I mean, I I I
- 2:13:29sometimes you go and you do something with the intent to do that, and then sometimes you just
- 2:13:34hear the influence anyway.
- 2:13:36And, yeah, that's kind of a
- 2:13:40Thank you.
- 2:13:41Hey, Liv.
- 2:13:42You want
- 2:13:42It's like a wedding song dance kinda song.
- 2:13:44This is like a wedding song dance.
- 2:13:46I don't see this as an intimate, as far oh, well, I mean, I'm not sure the kind that
- 2:13:53Is somebody talking?
- 2:13:54I yeah.
- 2:13:55Hello?
- 2:13:55Can hear fast talking to you.
- 2:13:57Oh, I can't I can't hear.
- 2:13:59I've got a of death.
- 2:14:02Uh-oh.
- 2:14:03The circle of death.
- 2:14:04I say I mean, I'm not sure.
- 2:14:06I mean, I'm not sure what kind of sex that you have, but for me, that wouldn't have worked.
- 2:14:12But I see this as a wedding dance song as a couple just, like, looking into each other's
- 2:14:19eyes and spinning each other around.
- 2:14:21Right before they boink.
- 2:14:24No.
- 2:14:24Before they boink.
- 2:14:25Why boinking?
- 2:14:27Get off the boinking, Michael.
- 2:14:28Before the
- 2:14:29exactly.
- 2:14:30Hit
- 2:14:30hit the song before the boinking.
- 2:14:36My god.
- 2:14:37I'll you what.
- 2:14:38We've gone on to track nine before, and it's gone to 50 shades of gray here.
- 2:14:42I'll tell you.
- 2:14:4313?
- 2:14:4413?
- 2:14:4613, he said.
- 2:14:4714, Andy.
- 2:14:47Okay.
- 2:14:4713.
- 2:14:48So
- 2:14:48on that song.
- 2:14:50Quick anecdote on on enlist tonight.
- 2:14:52That that really cool, like, cracking snare that you hear, like, sounds kinda like
- 2:14:58something that gets hit on the side of the snare, that rim shot that you keep hearing
- 2:15:02throughout it, that in you know, that syncopated rim rim shot.
- 2:15:07I actually went out into the backyard and just took two big two by fours and, like, clapped
- 2:15:13them together while I recorded.
- 2:15:16Oh.
- 2:15:16And then we plugged it in, and
- 2:15:18we made and we put a bunch of echo on it, and it it worked really well.
- 2:15:23It sounded so cool.
- 2:15:25Anyway, that's my bit.
- 2:15:27Oh, no.
- 2:15:27No.
- 2:15:27Do you know what that's pulling, JB?
- 2:15:29Because, you know, we we try and understand what goes into these albums and these songs,
- 2:15:34and that's something that people wouldn't even dream of.
- 2:15:37Like, it actually happened during the song.
- 2:15:39And that's how creative people are being with their with their albums, and that's brilliant.
- 2:15:44Yeah.
- 2:15:45He he is a master of sticking
- 2:15:49Weird shit instruments.
- 2:15:51Or changing the sound of a of an instrument by placing it with something else at the same
- 2:16:00yeah.
- 2:16:01He's pretty brilliant.
- 2:16:03He
- 2:16:04k.
- 2:16:04Michael, stop so we can what?
- 2:16:07What's the next one?
- 2:16:07What's this all about?
- 2:16:08Stop Go.
- 2:16:10Alright.
- 2:16:11That's it, I am.
- 2:16:13Can we go now?
- 2:16:14Is that the album finished?
- 2:16:16We're gonna go.
- 2:16:17Alright.
- 2:16:17So stop We we can go is I just love this song.
- 2:16:21This is a great I wanted you know, I I think for the first time, I I really stretched myself
- 2:16:34as far as how much playing between genres can I do?
- 2:16:39So this is kind of a pop r and b kind of feel.
- 2:16:46But I just love the song because
- 2:16:51it
- 2:16:51basically tells someone to take a chance, And the only way they can take a chance is by stop
- 2:17:01running.
- 2:17:03And sometimes
- 2:17:04people who I can give those messages to.
- 2:17:07Yep.
- 2:17:08Here you go.
- 2:17:09Fantastic.
- 2:17:10I like this one.
- 2:17:11Stop.
- 2:17:12We can go.
- 2:17:29You.
- 2:17:40In every way but prayer.
- 2:17:44Heart keeps reaching out.
- 2:17:47Bow your hands still hold the chains.
- 2:17:51I can feel your fear of falling, but love on them in pain.
- 2:17:57Don't you know my soul is crying so lean?
- 2:18:06I've never been so such and never been so true.
- 2:18:15Don't let the world decide our fate.
- 2:18:19The clock is ticking all the hide.
- 2:18:42Holding back what we both know so we can find a honeycomb into the fire, into the storm.
- 2:18:52That was the only place we're warm.
- 2:18:56Take my hand at the rest of space, though.
- 2:18:59Stop.
- 2:19:00So we can finally go.
- 2:19:03We've got a love the world can't take away.
- 2:19:08Forever starts if you just say.
- 2:19:17I can't promise answers.
- 2:19:22I can't promise seeds, but I'll fight through the shadows.
- 2:19:29If you walk with me, every bow, every stumble will turn into light.
- 2:19:41Even in the breaking, we'll make it so we can find all this is the chance we've been waiting
- 2:22:18for open your heart and will so we can finally
- 2:23:14Great production.
- 2:23:16Surreal great production.
- 2:23:17Great piano.
- 2:23:18Just great production.
- 2:23:19Great sound.
- 2:23:20Yeah.
- 2:23:21Michael, really.
- 2:23:23And, JC, just the sounds that you guys pick out absolutely blends.
- 2:23:29I don't hear I don't hear cords crashing and against each other.
- 2:23:36Just really splendid sound.
- 2:23:41Question.
- 2:23:42Where did you get the choir?
- 2:23:45Thank you thank a studio.
- 2:23:49Yep.
- 2:23:50So that's that's a, like, a legit choir that Yep.
- 2:23:54Does that sound quality?
- 2:23:55Or
- 2:23:56Oh, no.
- 2:23:57No.
- 2:23:57That that's all done computer wise.
- 2:24:00It's digital.
- 2:24:01Wow.
- 2:24:01Yeah.
- 2:24:02You could have fooled me.
- 2:24:03You could have fooled me.
- 2:24:04You and they have You can take you you record what you want to record, and then you plug it
- 2:24:09in.
- 2:24:10And then you add the lyrics as well so that it knows what it's saying, and then you also give
- 2:24:17them a vocal idea of what you want.
- 2:24:21And they and you can have everything from full on gospel choir to
- 2:24:27To a chamber choir to
- 2:24:29Chamber choir, baroque, pop.
- 2:24:32Yeah.
- 2:24:33You do the tabernacle choir.
- 2:24:35Actually, they do.
- 2:24:36They actually
- 2:24:37do I don't know if they do
- 2:24:38a specific choir like that.
- 2:24:40But
- 2:24:40They wouldn't call it that.
- 2:24:42They wouldn't call it like that, but they
- 2:24:43they probably wouldn't because that would be copyright.
- 2:24:45But yeah.
- 2:24:46But they so So, Michael,
- 2:24:48between the last album and this album, this album for me has got more I don't know.
- 2:24:56It's got a lot of feeling it with the choirs and things.
- 2:24:59I I love the use of choirs and background music.
- 2:25:02I've seen you before when I've listened to your songs.
- 2:25:04I think when you're performing on stage, if you could get these live choirs actually singing
- 2:25:10with you live on stage, oh my god.
- 2:25:13Anybody would pay money to come and see this.
- 2:25:15All it takes is three voices.
- 2:25:17The thing that we did and it started off we my first album didn't have a lot of choir stuff
- 2:25:23because a lot of it was stuff that we did with our DAW, you know, because Cubase does its own
- 2:25:30kind of choir effect, but it was kinda basic.
- 2:25:34And then when colors of the sun album came out, I really wanted to reinforce the choir,
- 2:25:43especially on this the song colors of the sun, which is when we we decided to go with a
- 2:25:50different program.
- 2:25:52And it's a little bit more inter like I said, it's more intricate because you have to feed it
- 2:25:55the lyrics, but then you also have to give it a a vocal, what's the word, vocal sample of what
- 2:26:04you want.
- 2:26:04Stop.
- 2:26:05Boom.
- 2:26:06Boom.
- 2:26:06And then feed that into it, and then it just comes up.
- 2:26:09And then but the cool thing about it, I could have made an all male choir.
- 2:26:14I could have made an all female choir, whatever.
- 2:26:17And it just Fantastic.
- 2:26:19Amazing.
- 2:26:19Well, we'll get those on stage.
- 2:26:21That's a definite idea.
- 2:26:22Brian, I'm loving your, like, changes in jackets all the way through tonight's program.
- 2:26:27It's been quite entertaining.
- 2:26:28That's a great red jacket.
- 2:26:30He looks like like, you know, the showman.
- 2:26:33You know?
- 2:26:33That's hard to feel, especially with the background there, Ryan.
- 2:26:36You look fantastic.
- 2:26:37Okay.
- 2:26:38It doesn't matter that this is the penultimate song.
- 2:26:43Why was it so special for that penultimate moment?
- 2:26:47It doesn't have to be
- 2:26:49Oh, this is just a really cool song.
- 2:26:54I believe I wrote this song for me as talking to my younger self If I went back in time to
- 2:27:07talk to myself as a kid.
- 2:27:10I isn't that right, Jace?
- 2:27:12Yeah.
- 2:27:14It's a
- 2:27:14it's a whatever.
- 2:27:17It's a it's a letter to your to your younger self.
- 2:27:20Yeah.
- 2:27:21Yeah.
- 2:27:21That's what I want.
- 2:27:23Let's see what he says to his younger self, so we and let's play.
- 2:27:26It doesn't matter.
- 2:27:26Let's see what Michael is actually telling his childhood self.
- 2:27:47Is yours to see.
- 2:27:50You'll go come mountains, cross the ocean wide, nothing will hold you back.
- 2:27:55You'll turn the tide, your heart so open filled with endless dreams.
- 2:28:01You'll make a mark or so it seemed.
- 2:28:05I just gotta get dust in your eyes.
- 2:28:08You've got the strength to touch the sky.
- 2:28:13You're a force unstoppable, bold.
- 2:28:16The world's your canvas, painted in gold.
- 2:28:21It does matter, always believe.
- 2:28:25You're more than you know, you soon achieve.
- 2:28:28You can be enough.
- 2:28:57Wondering if you'll break, but deep inside you know there's still a spark to wake.
- 2:29:03Though it's hard, you keep pushing through your eyes again.
- 2:29:09Soldier than you knew.
- 2:29:11It does matter, you're destined to rise.
- 2:29:15You got the strength to touch the skies.
- 2:29:19You're a force, unstoppable ball.
- 2:29:23You're what you can then spin it and go.
- 2:29:27It does matter.
- 2:29:29Always believe you're more than you know.
- 2:29:32You'll soon achieve.
- 2:29:34You can't be anything.
- 2:29:37Just hold on time.
- 2:29:39The future is waiting.
- 2:29:42And it's yours tonight.
- 2:29:44I'll hear you stand the battles across the shore, but you're wiser now, and you've learned
- 2:29:50to go.
- 2:29:51The world tried to break, you tried to make you small, but now you know that you can stand so.
- 2:30:00You've got the fight, the will, and the grace.
- 2:30:03You're still chasing dreams.
- 2:30:05You're still in the race.
- 2:30:07What they didn't see is the strength in your soul.
- 2:30:11Now you're walking the path.
- 2:30:13You're in control.
- 2:30:17It does matter.
- 2:30:18You're destined to rise.
- 2:30:20You got the strength to touch
- 2:30:23the
- 2:30:23skies.
- 2:30:25You're a force and stop over gold.
- 2:30:29The world's your canvas painted in gold.
- 2:30:33It does better.
- 2:30:35Always believe you're more than you know.
- 2:31:20Gold.
- 2:31:21It does matter.
- 2:31:23Always believe you're more than you know.
- 2:31:26You're still to achieve.
- 2:31:28You can't be anything.
- 2:31:31Just hold on tight.
- 2:31:32The future's waiting, and it's yours tonight.
- 2:31:38Does matter.
- 2:31:39Don't you ever doubt you were born shy to stand out?
- 2:31:46You changed the world.
- 2:31:47Just wait and see.
- 2:31:49It does matter.
- 2:31:51Just believe in me.
- 2:32:07You can hear can you guy can you hear me?
- 2:32:12Yeah.
- 2:32:13I can hear you.
- 2:32:14Okay.
- 2:32:15Yeah.
- 2:32:15It's funny because you can hear me winded at the end of that.
- 2:32:20You could and it was one of those things.
- 2:32:24I wanted
- 2:32:25a bitching hard song to sing.
- 2:32:27It is.
- 2:32:28And I didn't want it to be clean at the end because I wanted it to feel like I was running
- 2:32:33a race.
- 2:32:34So I made sure that I did, like, the last phrasing altogether, like, in one breath so
- 2:32:43that it felt with
- 2:32:44The the energy collapsed.
- 2:32:47Yeah.
- 2:32:47It that song was super hard.
- 2:32:54Okay.
- 2:32:54Both of.
- 2:32:55Yeah.
- 2:32:56It was yeah.
- 2:32:58But that's my song to AJ.
- 2:33:01Aw.
- 2:33:02Thank you.
- 2:33:04You know what?
- 2:33:05It you you when you look at, like, your younger self and how you're gonna grow up and where
- 2:33:10you're gonna be.
- 2:33:12And, you know, I think you've gone through such different changes in your career, you know, to
- 2:33:20where you're gonna be.
- 2:33:22You know, where you are even now, collected all of the awards this year, going on a movie
- 2:33:27screen with colors of the sun, you know, everything that you're going through as a
- 2:33:33younger self and telling your younger self that you're gonna grow up like this and you're gonna
- 2:33:37go through like this.
- 2:33:38You know, it's your birthday today.
- 2:33:40And, really, if you could actually think about your whole career, you know, we've this before
- 2:33:47when we had a one to one, and I've got you to look back about all those career highlight
- 2:33:52moments for you and what a career you've had.
- 2:33:55You know.
- 2:33:56And this year, it's just one of the years compared to what you have been through.
- 2:34:01You know?
- 2:34:01So from this little kid growing up and wanting to be in the music industry, would he have ever
- 2:34:06believed that it would ended up in all things that you've done?
- 2:34:12In my deepest hopes and dreams, yes.
- 2:34:17You know?
- 2:34:19But as you get older, you get more cynical, and, you know, you get a little bit more jaded.
- 2:34:28You meet real life.
- 2:34:29You meet real people.
- 2:34:31You meet people that are supposed to be your friends but aren't, and it makes it hard.
- 2:34:36I mean, it makes it hard.
- 2:34:38Hold on.
- 2:34:39And I think it was the breaking point of some major things that happened three years ago with
- 2:34:50some relationships with people that I had trusted, and I just said, I need to I need to
- 2:35:00do what I feel like I've always wanted to do and not be afraid and gave myself the the
- 2:35:08courage to not be afraid.
- 2:35:11And I think that's a really hard thing for me.
- 2:35:14Thumb up from mine there.
- 2:35:17Thumb up from mine there.
- 2:35:19He he believes in you in there.
- 2:35:20And I think, you know, Ryan, did you wanna chip in, mate?
- 2:35:23Because, you know, that that faces the old buddy.
- 2:35:26You know, it's it's interesting.
- 2:35:28I've known Michael for, what, thirteen years now or something like that.
- 2:35:31Thirteen?
- 2:35:32Yeah.
- 2:35:33And we hated each other when we first met.
- 2:35:38Well, that's fine.
- 2:35:40We did we did really
- 2:35:41hate each other.
- 2:35:42We he found me on Facebook, and, you know, it was all about me.
- 2:35:47I was self centered at that time.
- 2:35:49And but, anyways, I have learned so much from him as an individual to sit back and let go and
- 2:36:00let god.
- 2:36:02And that's something that Michael really showcases to everyone he meets.
- 2:36:11You know?
- 2:36:11He he's a compassionate and caring person, and he helps people grow so much.
- 2:36:17And Definitely.
- 2:36:19He helps people see the true the true self within them within themselves.
- 2:36:25And, you know, Michael is just a great guy in general.
- 2:36:30He's an inspiration to many, many people.
- 2:36:33And I always was telling him, you know, like, don't give a rat's ass what anybody thinks.
- 2:36:38And I would tell him Exactly.
- 2:36:39Many times.
- 2:36:40It's like, who the hell cares?
- 2:36:43Truly.
- 2:36:44Who the hell cares?
- 2:36:45Because And I see the music the music industry has had that big wake up call this year.
- 2:36:50A big wake up call.
- 2:36:51Look look again at all of what's happened this year and how many awards you've bowed between
- 2:36:57you and JP.
- 2:36:59You need a bigger help.
- 2:37:00You know, if you these were actual physical trophies coming into your house, you two this
- 2:37:06year have
- 2:37:07There are trophies.
- 2:37:08In the music industry.
- 2:37:09They they they will be sending him the trophies.
- 2:37:12There are trophies.
- 2:37:12I know.
- 2:37:13That's what I mean.
- 2:37:13And there's more to come.
- 2:37:14A case, bro.
- 2:37:15You're gonna need a case.
- 2:37:17Yeah.
- 2:37:17We've got so I have to say this year together as well.
- 2:37:20You know, you've got it's just been an amazing year.
- 2:37:23So look again.
- 2:37:24This album is going to be an absolute phenomenal album for everybody to listen to.
- 2:37:30We're two and a half hours into the show, and it's been a brilliant show once again and the
- 2:37:35cracking pie of the cracking music, and we've all actually loved and enjoyed every moment.
- 2:37:41I and I really thank everybody for showing up or listening, and I I'm getting messages on my
- 2:37:47phone as well, people that are watching or whatever.
- 2:37:50And I I I really that means an awful lot.
- 2:37:55This song is I have to write one serious song because it's just in me to to do that.
- 2:38:05And this song is kind of a wake up call for all of us.
- 2:38:11It's super depressing.
- 2:38:13Okay.
- 2:38:13Stop.
- 2:38:14Don't tell me that, JP.
- 2:38:16No.
- 2:38:16Look.
- 2:38:17Don't end the album on super depressing.
- 2:38:19Yeah.
- 2:38:19I know you're gonna do movies.
- 2:38:21I hope you're gonna be like it's like everyone's gonna shoot each other as they come
- 2:38:24out with the next album.
- 2:38:26Okay.
- 2:38:26Listen.
- 2:38:27It's a great it's a great song.
- 2:38:28Okay.
- 2:38:30But depressing.
- 2:38:31Not it's
- 2:38:32not depressing if you listen to it.
- 2:38:34But it's
- 2:38:35a wake up call for all of us to to treat each other with more compassion, to
- 2:38:44not just
- 2:38:45base our opinion on somebody by what we think we see.
- 2:38:51When we look at someone, we think we know their story.
- 2:38:55You know?
- 2:38:55If if Yeah.
- 2:38:57They're homeless, they're they're terrible.
- 2:39:00You know?
- 2:39:01If somebody is acting out in the street, it's because they're you know, they wanna be there,
- 2:39:08and they're cracked out on drugs, and and and nobody wants to understand that they didn't
- 2:39:15start off that way.
- 2:39:17You know?
- 2:39:17And this is a way you know?
- 2:39:19And and we all we all do it, including me.
- 2:39:23You know?
- 2:39:24You see someone if they're, you know, maybe overly obese.
- 2:39:29You immediately view them as a fat person and not a person with feelings.
- 2:39:36And so I wrote this song for all of us to just say, take a moment to be a better person.
- 2:39:48Take a moment to make the world a better
- 2:39:51great, great message for the end of the album.
- 2:39:54I love it, Michael.
- 2:39:55It is.
- 2:39:56Yeah.
- 2:39:56It is it depressing?
- 2:39:58The stories are kinda depressing, but really listen to the words and then listen to the the
- 2:40:06the The chorus.
- 2:40:07And then I we'll get it.
- 2:40:10Sounds like your last song of the night, everybody.
- 2:40:12Look again.
- 2:40:13This has been a great album.
- 2:40:14Well done, mister.
- 2:40:22Got a blanket for a jacket, cardboard for a baby.
- 2:40:30He hums old love abides.
- 2:40:33He sang when his kits were fed.
- 2:40:37Once he fits the neighbor's fence, mow the widow's lawn, stayed up late to fix the fridge.
- 2:40:48Keep the water curtain fall, the bills bow high and lights went out.
- 2:41:09The fights turned into blame.
- 2:41:13His wife packed up the kids and left.
- 2:41:16She couldn't bear the shame.
- 2:41:20Now we perhaps are flattered signs that beg for spread lose change, but they never see the
- 2:41:29father who would give his soul.
- 2:41:37Rent exchange.
- 2:41:44She's sitting in the corner while the pretty people sneer.
- 2:41:50They whisper words like fat pig loud enough for her to hear.
- 2:41:57They don't know her body fights her every single day.
- 2:42:03A cruel disease that traps her fire and won't let the swimming fade.
- 2:42:11Once she ran the high school track to cold medals golden blue, She danced BAM, but in her
- 2:42:19mother's dress, the wind and wild sky knew.
- 2:42:24Now her legs are heavy, anchors, knees swollen like tight drums.
- 2:42:30Every step's a battle fog where no one hears the gun.
- 2:42:37She hides her pills in pockets, counts, she showers pain, wears a smile like armor, hides
- 2:42:47the tears behind the rain.
- 2:42:51They love and point in hallways, cover names she won't repeat, but they don't see the silent
- 2:43:00war that rages beneath her feet.
- 2:43:06So look again, look deeper, don't stop at what you see.
- 2:43:13Get uncooked your bum and listen to the heart behind the screams.
- 2:43:20Put yourself inside their shoes before you cast that stone.
- 2:43:27Be the head that lifts them up.
- 2:43:30Don't leave them there.
- 2:43:34Don't be so blind and selfish that you judged before you know.
- 2:43:40Every face has got a stony.
- 2:43:43Every heart's been bruised by blows, made a whole fair reaching bar When the world just
- 2:43:52turns away, look again.
- 2:43:54Don't turn your back.
- 2:43:56Be love that space.
- 2:44:07He sits beside the bus stop, fingers twitch and shake, trace his names upon the concrete only
- 2:44:18he can make.
- 2:44:20Once he wrote his mother letters from the desert sand, tucked a photo in his helmet of
- 2:44:30his little brother's hand.
- 2:44:34He dreams of boots on gravel.
- 2:44:37Here's the monarch life, feels the blood beneath his boots, counts the kids who die,
- 2:44:47came sitting at night, counting all the dead.
- 2:45:07Pops his knuckles slaps his face to drown out what they say.
- 2:45:14Strangers mutter crazy bats but never cross the street to see the soldier praying hard for a
- 2:45:24single night of sleep.
- 2:45:30She hums to hush
- 2:45:32the night her cousin came. Then another
- 2:45:51Then another man in foster care repeated all that shame.
- 2:45:58She didn't ask to carry seeds from nights she cared a race, but she plants them in soft
- 2:46:07blankets, kisses bruises off their face.
- 2:46:11She braids her daughter's tangled hair, wipes her baby's chin, whispers mama's gonna get us
- 2:46:21out.
- 2:46:22We won't go back again.
- 2:46:25She scans for help wanted signs, close your legs, your tree is all in spine, but they never
- 2:46:46see their praying.
- 2:46:48Please let my babies shine.
- 2:46:54So look again and look deeper.
- 2:46:58Don't stop in what you see.
- 2:47:01Get uncomfortable and listen to the heart behind the screams.
- 2:47:08Put yourself inside their shows before you cast that stone.
- 2:47:15Be the hand that lifts them up.
- 2:47:17Don't leave them alone.
- 2:47:21Don't be so blind and sufficed that you'll judge before you know.
- 2:47:28Every face has got a story.
- 2:47:31Every heart's been bruised by those.
- 2:47:35Be the whole fair reaching bug.
- 2:47:37When the world just turns away, you'll begin.
- 2:47:42Don't turn your back.
- 2:47:44Be that state.
- 2:47:54So look again, look deeper, don't stop at what you see.
- 2:48:01Get uncomfortable
- 2:48:33Wow.
- 2:48:34What an end today.
- 2:48:37That's it.
- 2:48:38The album is complete as they say.
- 2:48:42Michael, how does it feel listening to me for the first time from track one to track 15?
- 2:48:49What made you pick these songs or the song order the way you did?
- 2:48:54In order.
- 2:48:54Yeah.
- 2:48:56Because I I I'm curious to know why that song last.
- 2:49:04I know this sounds cliche, but I feel like my my job as a songwriter is to entertain and to
- 2:49:18inspire.
- 2:49:20But for me, it's pivotal because music has been so important to me and has really helped shape
- 2:49:29me.
- 2:49:30I wanted to end the song with a challenge and a message because I want them to know I'm here to
- 2:49:42have fun.
- 2:49:43I want people to love my music, but I also want them to know that I wanna be a pioneer or
- 2:49:50someone that brings change or does all that I can with the talent that I have to try to
- 2:49:59better us, especially in times like this.
- 2:50:02Yeah.
- 2:50:02So that's kind
- 2:50:04You are.
- 2:50:05And I and I think one thing you are, Michael.
- 2:50:09You're a pioneer of music, Eddie, but there's so many people who look up to you.
- 2:50:14There's so many people who are wowed by every note, by every song, by every what you write.
- 2:50:23You know?
- 2:50:24Everybody loves everything you do, and anyone who is covered into the music industry has only
- 2:50:32got to go and look at what you've done through your career, through what you're doing now if
- 2:50:38they want to succeed in music.
- 2:50:39You are you've left the legacy.
- 2:50:41You've already left a legacy.
- 2:50:43You know, I'm lucky enough to be your manager, and I'm lucky enough to write your notes on
- 2:50:49your career.
- 2:50:50You know, I don't know if this is going to be an an album and then having a break, or you're
- 2:50:56gonna be doing another one.
- 2:50:57But I tell you what, one of my sort of things I love you today, this needs to go into a book.
- 2:51:02This needs to go into a book.
- 2:51:04He's not taking a break.
- 2:51:05He has to write the music for somebody's song.
- 2:51:08Oh, god.
- 2:51:09Alright.
- 2:51:09So he still got stuff to do, but are we you know, we are now coming towards the end of the
- 2:51:14show.
- 2:51:14Michael, where are the guys reacting to this?
- 2:51:17What did what did Orlas think?
- 2:51:21I I feel blessed being in the same room with you.
- 2:51:27It's just such an honor to be invited for your birthday and happy birthday.
- 2:51:32It it was great to sit here and hear your stories for each song, and I feel blessed.
- 2:51:40And it that's true what AJ said that you really touch people's lives, and you really make a
- 2:51:46difference.
- 2:51:48And I feel your energy, love your voice, and I appreciate your friendship.
- 2:51:54Fantastic.
- 2:51:55You know what?
- 2:51:56What a lovely way to end the show.
- 2:51:58Jeffy's also put on here.
- 2:52:00We definitely have a partner.
- 2:52:01The power to bring such a positive change, I mean, all by your lyricism and overall
- 2:52:06musicianship.
- 2:52:07You know?
- 2:52:07So I think you've some beautiful signs.
- 2:52:10I do have to say this.
- 2:52:13I I've always said my my circle that of people that I call my friends are stupidly talented,
- 2:52:26ridiculously talented.
- 2:52:28Like, I they are some of the best singers, some of the best writers, some of the best artists,
- 2:52:35some of the best, you know, performers.
- 2:52:38I I have I have a universe that I get to be part of that I am constantly circled by
- 2:52:49greatness.
- 2:52:50And to to have people like Adrian, who's a songwriter and has been in the music industry
- 2:52:59for a long time, you know, seeing something in me and saying, I wanna manage you.
- 2:53:04And Orlis, who's I fell in love with from the first moment I heard Haddon and Orlys's stuff
- 2:53:11and just got to know her.
- 2:53:12Just fell in love with her.
- 2:53:15Ryan, we've been friends for thirteen years, and I didn't hate him.
- 2:53:18I just thought he was a selfish dick.
- 2:53:24Yep.
- 2:53:24I was.
- 2:53:25I certainly was.
- 2:53:26He has turned out to be a great friend, a a giving friend, a he's someone that has
- 2:53:32sacrificed, you know, and done a lot.
- 2:53:35You know, obviously, JP here, you know, something's right.
- 2:53:38We've been together for twenty seven years.
- 2:53:42So
- 2:53:44Like, you you haven't seen your birthday present yet?
- 2:53:47Oh, I've seen it before.
- 2:53:49Oh, wait.
- 2:53:50Oh, okay.
- 2:53:51I thought he'd bring it over Tesla May bot for you.
- 2:53:53Anyway, everybody, it is time to try to see.
- 2:53:57But if you look at the people yes.
- 2:53:59If you look at the people that have responded, a lot of them like, Brandywine has messaged me.
- 2:54:05These are people that are peers that are out there doing what I'm doing, who I respect and
- 2:54:12admire and love what they're doing, and I wanna support.
- 2:54:17So it it really just means a lot.
- 2:54:20This this has been a really I hope I hope this has entertained people and inspired them.
- 2:54:27Definitely.
- 2:54:27But I always get inspired when someone comes and says that what I've done means something to
- 2:54:36them.
- 2:54:37That is the greatest compliment ever.
- 2:54:39Well, you've given us another amazing album of which we are gonna be spending many years
- 2:54:44listening to.
- 2:54:45Okay?
- 2:54:45So thank you.
- 2:54:47You know, it's out on StreamYard now.
- 2:54:48It's also out on all of your social media channels.
- 2:54:51We will be passing it around.
