Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: This is seven tor Boy. The Mark Simoon Show starts.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Now, hey, it's I know, there's a little rain. It's
- 0:10Speaker 2: about to stop. It's Monday. We got a lot to
- 0:12Speaker 2: get to. We'll get to the latest on Iran, big
- 0:16Speaker 2: developments there. We'll get to the TSA. We'll get to
- 0:20Speaker 2: lots of stuff to get to today, we'll get to
- 0:23Speaker 2: the Bachelorette and Robert Muller and more so. La Guardia
- 0:27Speaker 2: Airport remains closed after that horrible crash that took place
- 0:30Speaker 2: late last night. A truck is on the runway and
- 0:36Speaker 2: collides with a plane. Now, when you're when you're a big,
- 0:40Speaker 2: big truck out there on the runway, you're under the
- 0:43Speaker 2: control of the air traffic controllers. They don't just control
- 0:46Speaker 2: the planes, that can control anything that comes on the runway,
- 0:50Speaker 2: and an air traffic controller. Somebody screwed up something there
- 0:54Speaker 2: and you can hear the air traffic controllers screaming at
- 0:57Speaker 2: the truck to stop, but it was too late. Plane
- 1:00Speaker 2: hit it and the front of the plane completely crumbled,
- 1:04Speaker 2: killing two pilots. Forty one people were hospitalized on the
- 1:08Speaker 2: plane as the plane just massive, massive shaking and crashing,
- 1:14Speaker 2: and stewardess goes through the windows. You know when they
- 1:17Speaker 2: tell you when you land on the runway and you're taxiing,
- 1:20Speaker 2: they tell you to please remain seated and keep your
- 1:22Speaker 2: seat belt on. That's why something like this could happen.
- 1:27Speaker 2: That's why you keep your seat belt on until you
- 1:29Speaker 2: get to the gates. So the interesting thing is this
- 1:33Speaker 2: big Air Canada plane hits the truck. The truck is
- 1:37Speaker 2: absolutely fine. Front of the plane completely crumbled. Now, the
- 1:41Speaker 2: planes are made of a flimsy or aluminum, whereas the
- 1:46Speaker 2: truck is heavy steel. The plane is made to be
- 1:49Speaker 2: very very light to fly in the air, so it's
- 1:51Speaker 2: very thin. It's kind of frightening when you see how
- 1:54Speaker 2: quickly that whole front crumbled. Well, the truck was just fine.
- 1:57Speaker 2: But they're attempting to clean this up. It's going to
- 2:01Speaker 2: be a while. The airport will not open until at
- 2:04Speaker 2: least two o'clock, so figure five o'clock. The National Transportation
- 2:09Speaker 2: Safety Board is there investigating the crash. This will be
- 2:13Speaker 2: a while. So all flights canceled at LaGuardia. If you
- 2:16Speaker 2: were supposed to leave or come back today, all flights
- 2:19Speaker 2: canceled at LaGuardia. And when they do reopen late in
- 2:23Speaker 2: the afternoon, it's going to be a snarled up mess
- 2:26Speaker 2: and that will continue probably for forty eight hours until
- 2:29Speaker 2: they get that straightened out. That massive delays and back
- 2:33Speaker 2: up and all of that. So when they do get
- 2:35Speaker 2: the airport reopen, you got the original problem, which is
- 2:39Speaker 2: the TSA, many of them not showing up, many of
- 2:42Speaker 2: them calling in sick. They haven't been paid in weeks.
- 2:45Speaker 2: The TSA agent's overwhelmed. Yesterday you had reports of delays
- 2:51Speaker 2: at airports all over the place of up to four hours,
- 2:53Speaker 2: people missing their planes from being in a security line
- 2:58Speaker 2: for four hours. Now, believe it or not, there's some airports,
- 3:00Speaker 2: about twenty two of them around the country that are
- 3:03Speaker 2: not suffering in this problem. And that's because long ago
- 3:06Speaker 2: they decided to contract out to private security instead of
- 3:11Speaker 2: relying on the TSA. Their private security contracts are all fine,
- 3:15Speaker 2: everybody's getting paid. So there are a bunch of airports,
- 3:18Speaker 2: about twenty two of them around the country with no
- 3:22Speaker 2: problem at all. So here's what's going to happen. The
- 3:26Speaker 2: TSA will be in the airports they've started coming in today,
- 3:31Speaker 2: but there will be more coming in. This is Transportation
- 3:34Speaker 2: Secretary Duffie Fotty.
- 3:35Speaker 3: That's when the next paycheck should come. And if this
- 3:39Speaker 3: homeland security funding isn't resolved, I think you're going to
- 3:42Speaker 3: see more TSA agents as we come to Thursday, Friday,
- 3:45Speaker 3: Saturday of next week. They're going to quit or they're
- 3:47Speaker 3: not going to show up.
- 3:48Speaker 2: But more ICE agents are on the way.
- 3:50Speaker 3: We can bring in other assets and tools to assist
- 3:53Speaker 3: TSA to get rid of these lines.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:55Speaker 3: I think that makes a lot of sense. And the
- 3:56Speaker 3: President's looking around every corner to make sure the American
- 3:59Speaker 3: people don't offer doing the shutdown.
- 4:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Now, one thing about the ICE Agency might say that's
- 4:04Speaker 2: kind of peculiar to send them into the air well. Actually,
- 4:07Speaker 2: most ICE agents, the normal job of ICE is the
- 4:10Speaker 2: southern border and they do check people, security checks on
- 4:14Speaker 2: people coming in over the border. They do inspect them,
- 4:18Speaker 2: frisk them. They're not up to date on the X
- 4:21Speaker 2: ray machines used in the airports, but that's not a problem.
- 4:25Speaker 2: ICE agents will do everything else, but they're used to
- 4:27Speaker 2: doing the baggage checks, pat downs, checking people. They do
- 4:32Speaker 2: it all the time. Now, the plan today is when
- 4:37Speaker 2: the ICE agents come in, the TSA will still do
- 4:41Speaker 2: the actual inspection at the X ray machine at the
- 4:43Speaker 2: conveyor belt. But ICE will take over all the other
- 4:46Speaker 2: jobs besides the actual inspecting of the passengers. The TSA
- 4:52Speaker 2: agents have to be all over the airport, checking the
- 4:53Speaker 2: gates in, blocking the gates out, checking the line. So
- 4:57Speaker 2: ICE will take over that, which will free up a
- 4:59Speaker 2: lot lot of TSA and that'll help. And then they'll
- 5:03Speaker 2: gradually get trained on the X ray machines and they
- 5:05Speaker 2: can eventually take over the whole thing. And it might
- 5:09Speaker 2: be a good idea to just make that permanent. Let
- 5:11Speaker 2: the ICE agents do it. They're very good at it.
- 5:13Speaker 2: It's the other thing that it accomplishes. It's a great
- 5:17Speaker 2: way to troll Democrats. It's a great way to troll
- 5:20Speaker 2: people like Chuck Schumer. They hate Ice, they hate ICE agents,
- 5:23Speaker 2: they hate any illegal actually being caught and deported. Trump
- 5:29Speaker 2: truthing out over the weekend. If the radical left Democrats
- 5:33Speaker 2: don't immediately sign an agreement to let our country, in
- 5:36Speaker 2: particular our airports be free and safe again, I will
- 5:40Speaker 2: move our brilliant and patriotic ICE agents to the airport.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Now this is the part trolling the Democrats. He added
- 5:46Speaker 2: the ICE agents, but also beef up security against illegal immigrants,
- 5:50Speaker 2: heavy emphasis on those from Somalia who have totally destroyed,
- 5:55Speaker 2: with the approval of a corrupt governor, attorney general, and
- 5:58Speaker 2: Congresswoman elon Omar, the once great state of Minnesota. So
- 6:01Speaker 2: it's driving the left nuts ice agents in the airport. Now,
- 6:07Speaker 2: it's important to get this whole thing settled. And you
- 6:11Speaker 2: might say, well, I'll give the Democrats credit for once
- 6:14Speaker 2: Congress stayed in session over the weekend, they remained in
- 6:18Speaker 2: Washington and didn't go home. Well, if you talk to
- 6:21Speaker 2: these congressmen, the real reason they did that they didn't
- 6:24Speaker 2: want to go home because they knew it was a
- 6:26Speaker 2: nightmare at the airports. They knew they'd be stuck in
- 6:29Speaker 2: these lines for three or four hours, or they can
- 6:33Speaker 2: get past the lines, they can avoid the lines and
- 6:35Speaker 2: be escorted right through. They either have to be stuck
- 6:38Speaker 2: in the lines for three or four hours or being
- 6:41Speaker 2: seen being escorted past the line. And they didn't want
- 6:45Speaker 2: to go through that, so they decided to stay in
- 6:49Speaker 2: Washington all week and we'll see if this gets settled. Iran.
- 6:54Speaker 2: The President over the weekend saying Iran has forty eight
- 6:58Speaker 2: hours or he will oblich rate, their biggest power plant.
- 7:02Speaker 2: There's a number of power sources, but there's one major
- 7:05Speaker 2: power plant that cost a lot of money ten billion
- 7:08Speaker 2: to build it. You knock that out, you pretty much
- 7:11Speaker 2: cripple the electric grid of Iran. So he threatened to
- 7:15Speaker 2: do that. Now this morning, the present tweeting out that
- 7:18Speaker 2: the talks with Iran and there are talks on two levels,
- 7:21Speaker 2: government to government and then there's back channel talks with
- 7:25Speaker 2: the opposition leaders and resistance. But he said things have
- 7:29Speaker 2: gone well with those talks, there is progress. He will
- 7:32Speaker 2: give them five days to get something done in the talks.
- 7:36Speaker 2: That's a pretty good deal. That's calmed things down a lot.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Stock market up about a thousand points already. Iran putting
- 7:46Speaker 2: out a statement saying they're having no talks at all,
- 7:48Speaker 2: which means they're having talks. Anytime Iran puts out a statement,
- 7:52Speaker 2: just reverse it and you've probably got the real story.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Over the weekend, Iran for the first time launched ballistic
- 8:01Speaker 2: missiles that they've never used before that can go about
- 8:04Speaker 2: twenty five hundred miles. Twenty five hundred miles. It was
- 8:07Speaker 2: never thought that Iran would have that kind of range,
- 8:10Speaker 2: but they launched a couple of those missiles aiming at
- 8:13Speaker 2: the Diego Garcia Military base, which is it's a joint
- 8:17Speaker 2: base United States and Britain. It's in the Indian Ocean.
- 8:20Speaker 2: It's about two thousand miles away. Now, the good news
- 8:23Speaker 2: is Iran with these long range ballistic missiles not very competent.
- 8:28Speaker 2: One failed, the other one was shot down. But the
- 8:31Speaker 2: problem is with the twenty five one hundred mile range, Well,
- 8:36Speaker 2: that means Iran can hit with their missiles, can hit London,
- 8:40Speaker 2: Paris Rome. It puts Europe in great jeopardy. That's another
- 8:44Speaker 2: reason Europe should get in and try to get get
- 8:48Speaker 2: this settled. Same thing with the Straits of horm Moose.
- 8:51Speaker 2: We don't get oil out of the Straits of horror Moose.
- 8:53Speaker 2: We really don't need it. It's Europe. Europe gets all
- 8:56Speaker 2: their oil out of the Straits of Hermose. We actually
- 8:59Speaker 2: get maybe about one and a half percent. That's it,
- 9:02Speaker 2: and we don't need any oil. We're totally oil independent.
- 9:05Speaker 2: We can get by. We're actually not only totally independent,
- 9:09Speaker 2: we're on the way to becoming energy dominant. We're actually
- 9:13Speaker 2: an exporter now of oil. There are countries that are
- 9:16Speaker 2: now joining the US helping to contribute twenty two of
- 9:20Speaker 2: them so far. Latest to join Australia, the UAE. We've
- 9:24Speaker 2: already got UK, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Japan all helping
- 9:29Speaker 2: to open up the Straits of Hormus. So that's the
- 9:31Speaker 2: good news. Now the bad news is Iran is now
- 9:36Speaker 2: with the hoodies threatening the target the Red Sea. That's
- 9:40Speaker 2: another strait, another port that we need. It's a twenty
- 9:43Speaker 2: mile wide straight southern end of the Red Sea. They're
- 9:47Speaker 2: threatening a target that But this will all get resolved
- 9:49Speaker 2: pretty fast, pretty easy to take care of. All of
- 9:52Speaker 2: this is not major, major military stuff. Iranian protesters are
- 9:58Speaker 2: saying revolution is just around the corner. They can't wait
- 10:01Speaker 2: to finish off this awful regime. So we'll see. Hey,
- 10:06Speaker 2: the funniest thing is the president announces he's going to
- 10:09Speaker 2: send the TSA into the airports. So this whole democratic
- 10:14Speaker 2: crazy left wing democrats all over the Sunday shows, all
- 10:18Speaker 2: over Twitter, all of it. It's all coordinated. They have
- 10:22Speaker 2: conference calls in the morning where they coordinate the language
- 10:26Speaker 2: whatever it's to say. So yesterday they were told to
- 10:29Speaker 2: say and it sounds crazy, but it's basically what Richard
- 10:35Speaker 2: Blumenthal tweets Richard Blumenthal is that sleazy, dirty senator from
- 10:41Speaker 2: Connecticut who when they tell him what to say, he'll
- 10:43Speaker 2: basically just tweet it verbatim. Bloomenthal tweeting out ICE agents
- 10:48Speaker 2: at airports will only aggravate delays and lines, disrupting checks,
- 10:53Speaker 2: interrogating travelers, dragging parents from children, detaining citizens, brutalizing families,
- 11:00Speaker 2: shooting and even killing. So it sounds insane, but they
- 11:04Speaker 2: were told to say this, JAKEM. Jeffries and others basically
- 11:08Speaker 2: putting out the same nonsense that the ICE agents at
- 11:11Speaker 2: the airport will be grabbing your children away from you,
- 11:14Speaker 2: brutalizing people and shooting and even killing them. I know
- 11:21Speaker 2: you're supposed to tweet this, and you're supposed to do
- 11:23Speaker 2: what you're told if you're in the Democratic Party. But Blumenthal,
- 11:27Speaker 2: as dirty and as sleazy as he is, should at
- 11:31Speaker 2: some point I'm not tweeting this out. This is ridiculous.
- 11:34Speaker 2: But it's Bloomenthal who's been caught in the most unbelievable lies.
- 11:39Speaker 2: He lied about serving in Vietnam, memory lied about speaking
- 11:43Speaker 2: at the Communist Party dinner. He denied it. The video
- 11:46Speaker 2: existed of him doing it. So, I mean, just crazy,
- 11:52Speaker 2: a lot to get to you today. Michael Goodman will
- 11:54Speaker 2: be with us in a few minutes, and coming up
- 11:58Speaker 2: a little later, we'll get to the governor's race. Will
- 12:00Speaker 2: go over that in great detail. So, hey, one reason
- 12:03Speaker 2: things are going so well militarily. You know, you can
- 12:07Speaker 2: pick on Pete Hegsath all you want. You can say, well,
- 12:10Speaker 2: he's not the best at these press conferences. But under
- 12:14Speaker 2: Pete Hegsath, in the first year and a couple months,
- 12:18Speaker 2: the military has executed the most incredible military operations in
- 12:23Speaker 2: the history of the US, from Venezuela to taking out
- 12:27Speaker 2: the nuclear reactors in Iran. I mean, just unbelievable operations
- 12:31Speaker 2: under Hexath and the war in Iran, We've never seen
- 12:35Speaker 2: anything like this. I mean, it's been incredibly effective in
- 12:39Speaker 2: just two weeks what they've taken out over there. And
- 12:41Speaker 2: one of the things that's being used it's a big
- 12:44Speaker 2: part of our military now, is AI. AI is unbelievable.
- 12:49Speaker 2: You know, we have satellite photography. When you go online
- 12:53Speaker 2: and you look at satellite photos and you can zoom
- 12:56Speaker 2: in on a house or something like that, that's the
- 12:58Speaker 2: amateur stuff. The stuff the government has their satellite imagery
- 13:02Speaker 2: is unbelievable. You can zoom in right on a license plate.
- 13:06Speaker 2: You can zoom in down to like an inch with
- 13:08Speaker 2: perfect clarity. It's unbelievable. So we use that satellite photography
- 13:12Speaker 2: to look at faces, to look at stuff in the
- 13:15Speaker 2: streets of Iran. Study everybody out in the streets, see everybody,
- 13:19Speaker 2: and then one of the things you can do is
- 13:20Speaker 2: you can try to identify the faces. Who's a Republican guard,
- 13:25Speaker 2: who's a you know, one of the Iatola's inner circle. Well,
- 13:29Speaker 2: it takes forever. You'd need thousands and thousands of people
- 13:33Speaker 2: and hours and weeks and months of studying the satellite photos.
- 13:36Speaker 2: But we use AI. Now AI can do that. If
- 13:39Speaker 2: there's a crowd of a thousand, it could look at
- 13:41Speaker 2: all thousand faces and in a millisecond identify exactly who
- 13:45Speaker 2: they are. That we've been using AI for all kinds
- 13:47Speaker 2: of stuff. Also, you know, tracking down where drones came from,
- 13:52Speaker 2: missiles came from. It's made an incredible difference for us
- 13:56Speaker 2: luckily as far as AI military technology where way ahead
- 14:01Speaker 2: of everybody else. Hey, Savannah Guthrie issuing a terrible, you know,
- 14:06Speaker 2: tearful plead moving Please don't forget about my mother. Please
- 14:10Speaker 2: don't stop looking. You know, everybody's forgotten about it. It's
- 14:13Speaker 2: never in the news anymore. Most of the big reporters
- 14:16Speaker 2: covering it have packed up and gone home. But she
- 14:19Speaker 2: just begging people, don't forget keep going through anything and everything.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Every little detail you never know, no matter how insignificant
- 14:28Speaker 2: it could be, could be important. No detail is too small,
- 14:31Speaker 2: she said. We continue to believe we'll find her or
- 14:35Speaker 2: find an answer. And the other thing she's coming back
- 14:37Speaker 2: to the Today Show looks like maybe April tenth, Savannah
- 14:40Speaker 2: Guthrie will return to the Today Show. Obviously not a
- 14:45Speaker 2: lot of people watch it anymore, but obviously there'll be big,
- 14:47Speaker 2: big ratings that morning when she returns. Hey, well take
- 14:51Speaker 2: some calls next. Eight hundred three two one zero seven
- 14:55Speaker 2: ten is the number eight hundred three two one zero
- 14:58Speaker 2: seven ten in.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Mark on Demand by setting a pre sad for his
- 15:04Speaker 1: podcast on the iHeartRadio app. Now back to Mark Simon
- 15:08Speaker 1: on war.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Hey, let's tick some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 15:16Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number. Let's go to Bill
- 15:19Speaker 2: in Pennsylvania. Bill, how you doing?
- 15:21Speaker 4: How are you doing? Mark? This is a little bit
- 15:24Speaker 4: off topic.
- 15:25Speaker 5: But perhaps you did clarify.
- 15:26Speaker 2: I know we had a topic, but go ahead.
- 15:29Speaker 6: Okay, Well I was you know, I've lived in New
- 15:31Speaker 6: York for fifty years. So I went down to the
- 15:33Speaker 6: subway last week on Patty's Day and there was smoky
- 15:39Speaker 6: to Bear ads all over plastered all over the subway. No,
- 15:45Speaker 6: I don't notice there's a forest around here? Is there
- 15:48Speaker 6: a forest in New York?
- 15:51Speaker 7: Now?
- 15:51Speaker 2: That happens. Sometimes you buy a certain package of ads
- 15:55Speaker 2: and they put you in thirty seven different places, six
- 15:58Speaker 2: of which you don't need.
- 16:00Speaker 6: I know it's a PSA, but you know, I mean,
- 16:02Speaker 6: let's I mean, unless you can control lightning.
- 16:07Speaker 2: Yeah, there's some great advertising agencies out there, in marketing agencies,
- 16:14Speaker 2: but there's some really bad ones that'll put your ads
- 16:16Speaker 2: in all the wrong places. I see it happen all
- 16:18Speaker 2: the time with politicians and the other people that got
- 16:20Speaker 2: even then the radio, they got their ads on the
- 16:22Speaker 2: wrong radio station, wrong time period. Be very careful which
- 16:26Speaker 2: agency you use, which marketing agency, advertising agency. One good
- 16:30Speaker 2: thing about iHeart when you come here when you're a sponsor.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Sometimes we have to help you out with that and
- 16:35Speaker 2: tell you where your your media buyers were making some
- 16:37Speaker 2: big mistakes. Let's go to Mike in Long Island. Mike,
- 16:41Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 16:43Speaker 8: Hey, Mark, good morning?
- 16:44Speaker 2: How you doing good? Mark?
- 16:45Speaker 8: I was I was reading about the Straits of Her
- 16:47Speaker 8: moves that the Armenian tankers are still going through. You know,
- 16:52Speaker 8: their their own oil was going through. My question is
- 16:54Speaker 8: why aren't we seizing all their tankers and just holding them? Well,
- 16:58Speaker 8: can you explain why the army doing that?
- 17:00Speaker 2: Yeah, some some tigers are being let through, But but
- 17:04Speaker 2: we don't need the season. We have no need for
- 17:06Speaker 2: their oil.
- 17:09Speaker 8: It's not our oil that we need. But like if
- 17:11Speaker 8: we can, you know, two can play the same game.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Yeah, but we don't want to play that game.
- 17:15Speaker 8: We'll release their oil when they release our oil.
- 17:18Speaker 2: Yeah, well, we do have a lot of their oil.
- 17:20Speaker 2: There's a bunch of Iranian oil that was already out
- 17:22Speaker 2: at sea. Actually we've just released it just to just
- 17:25Speaker 2: to put oil into the market. But it's it's I
- 17:28Speaker 2: show what he's saying. It's just not a necessary move.
- 17:30Speaker 2: We really don't need to do it. And just always
- 17:32Speaker 2: remember we don't use the Straits of Horror moves here
- 17:34Speaker 2: in the US. We don't use any of that oil.
- 17:37Speaker 2: It means nothing for us. Let's go to gym in
- 17:39Speaker 2: New Jersey. Jym, how you doing.
- 17:42Speaker 7: I see three names here. You're one of your old friends.
- 17:46Speaker 7: Just turned ninety five today, Captain Kirk. I know you
- 17:49Speaker 7: haven't talked to them in a while.
- 17:50Speaker 2: Yeah, it's been on a while. William Shatner ninety five.
- 17:54Speaker 2: And and there are our other buddy, Herb Albert. It
- 17:58Speaker 2: just turned ninety and he's on tour. He's coming to TELEISIONE. Yes,
- 18:01Speaker 2: he's out there. He's out there, Yes he is. And
- 18:03Speaker 2: I see next week. And I met him before about
- 18:06Speaker 2: fifteen years ago at my autograph convention. John Aston Gomez will.
- 18:09Speaker 7: Be ninety five next week, John, and tomorrow and tomorrow.
- 18:14Speaker 2: You know he was a great Mark. He's an interesting guy,
- 18:16Speaker 2: that John Asketon. He was Gomez on the Adams Family.
- 18:19Speaker 2: But for the last few decades he's been a professor
- 18:22Speaker 2: at John Hopkins University. Great nice guys.
- 18:24Speaker 7: He teaches, yes he does. And tomorrow Shirley Jones will
- 18:28Speaker 7: be said ninety two. I met her about six years ago.
- 18:31Speaker 7: She signed a nice eight by ten of her holding
- 18:34Speaker 7: her Oscar win from nineteen six six sixty marks. She
- 18:38Speaker 7: went an Oscar in nineteen sixty for Elmer Gantry, the
- 18:41Speaker 7: supporting actor, told me about that question.
- 18:43Speaker 2: You go to these autograph shows, and yes, sir, what
- 18:47Speaker 2: do you do with these autographs?
- 18:50Speaker 7: I make a get it for other people, some might
- 18:52Speaker 7: keep for myself. Next month it's coming up again. I'm
- 18:56Speaker 7: not going to tell you who's gonna be there because
- 18:57Speaker 7: I'm going to hold you in suspense.
- 18:58Speaker 4: I like to call.
- 18:59Speaker 7: You, I got some real you got some real names.
- 19:03Speaker 7: Next month, a couple of ninety year olds and Sally
- 19:05Speaker 7: Struthers Diane Cannon will be there. So well, I'll head
- 19:08Speaker 7: over in about three weeks.
- 19:09Speaker 2: You know, it's kind of sad. These are people that
- 19:11Speaker 2: were major motion picture starts. Now they're doing this. Now
- 19:14Speaker 2: they're doing autograph shows in New Jersey with guys like
- 19:18Speaker 2: Youtul and it's not the same.
- 19:20Speaker 4: Well, it's fun. The one guy's going to be there.
- 19:22Speaker 7: He was he's ninety five. He was on the Gomer
- 19:25Speaker 7: Pile Show. His name was Ronnie Shell.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Oh, Ronnie Shell is a great guy. He played Duke
- 19:29Speaker 2: on Gomer Pile. And by the way, follow him on Facebook.
- 19:32Speaker 2: He's very active on Facebook. He yeah, he looks great.
- 19:37Speaker 2: I'll report all right. Thanks. He posts a lot of
- 19:39Speaker 2: stuff up there Facebook. Ronnie Shell, he was in gomer
- 19:45Speaker 2: Pile and he once did a TV show called Good
- 19:47Speaker 2: Morning World nineteen sixty seven where he played a morning
- 19:52Speaker 2: disc jockey. It's actually only lasted one season, but it
- 19:55Speaker 2: was a great show. Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent,
- 19:58Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 19:59Speaker 9: Come on, Mark, I'm okay, Good morning, Matra.
- 20:02Speaker 10: What nerve?
- 20:02Speaker 9: Richard Blooming though that the guy has no shame. He's
- 20:05Speaker 9: out there, as you pointed out, talking about, oh, you
- 20:09Speaker 9: might get shot by an ice agent. Well, conveniently enough,
- 20:13Speaker 9: he didn't mention that the Chicago authorities arrested the illegal
- 20:18Speaker 9: alien who allegedly shot into that crowd of Loyola College
- 20:23Speaker 9: students and unfortunately hit the eighteen year old what's the
- 20:28Speaker 9: last name of Golvin from up in the Burbs and
- 20:31Speaker 9: everything killed. He's conveniently forgot to mention that. In Today's
- 20:37Speaker 9: New York Post, there's a great article that chronicles everything
- 20:41Speaker 9: that you've been speaking about the dangers of these e
- 20:45Speaker 9: bikes and these electric scooters. It chronicled that last year alone,
- 20:50Speaker 9: and they even go back further, but last year four
- 20:53Speaker 9: people were killed were from these e bikes, and fifteen
- 20:58Speaker 9: fifteen people were were seriously injured. Did Monday go visit
- 21:06Speaker 9: the people who were injured or the families of the
- 21:09Speaker 9: people who got killed.
- 21:10Speaker 10: No. He goes out to Rikers Island last week when Ramadan,
- 21:15Speaker 10: the feast of Ramadan ends, and he break spread with
- 21:18Speaker 10: all the inments. This is in the post of all
- 21:21Speaker 10: the the.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Was We'll get to that coming up, Vincent, great point,
- 21:27Speaker 2: Thanks for calling you, mom. Donnie went to Rikers to
- 21:30Speaker 2: pray with the inmates. I mean, this is the most
- 21:32Speaker 2: disgusting mayor we have ever seen. We'll get to that
- 21:35Speaker 2: coming up when we come back. Michael Goodwin, the greatest
- 21:38Speaker 2: columnists in America. He'll be with us next time seven
- 21:41Speaker 2: to ten wr.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Mark alone, well with us right now.
- 21:48Speaker 2: The greatest columnists in America. Michael Goodwin. You can read
- 21:51Speaker 2: them every Sunday every Wednesday in the New York Post
- 21:54Speaker 2: and all his columns are up on the New York
- 21:56Speaker 2: Post website. Michael Goodwin, how you doing?
- 22:00Speaker 4: Mark?
- 22:00Speaker 9: Thank you?
- 22:01Speaker 2: Hey? What a column about our crazy governor Kathy Hochel,
- 22:05Speaker 2: who tells everybody to get the hell out. Now she's
- 22:07Speaker 2: telling everybody please come back. What is going on between
- 22:11Speaker 2: her ears?
- 22:13Speaker 4: Well?
- 22:13Speaker 11: I do believe that although the polls show her having
- 22:17Speaker 11: a big lead over her Republican opponent, I do think
- 22:23Speaker 11: there is some sign that she's running scared. She may
- 22:27Speaker 11: not believe those poles, but I think it has to
- 22:31Speaker 11: do with the record that she has built, and she's
- 22:35Speaker 11: effectively now running against her record because she realizes it's
- 22:40Speaker 11: a liability.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Yeah, she's running against Bruce Blakeman. He'll be with us
- 22:44Speaker 2: in the next hour. He's a come from behind guy.
- 22:47Speaker 2: He did it in Nasau County. He was way behind
- 22:49Speaker 2: the polls. The polls were wrong. He's got real star
- 22:52Speaker 2: power and he's perfect for governor. He's been the best
- 22:55Speaker 2: county executive in America. That's a governor's sort of a job.
- 22:59Speaker 2: So what do you think he could pull this off? Goodly?
- 23:02Speaker 4: Could he could?
- 23:03Speaker 11: But I think he will need some help, and the
- 23:07Speaker 11: help will have to come I think from Mamdani, the
- 23:12Speaker 11: socialist mayor of the city, because he is becoming so
- 23:17Speaker 11: unpopular and some of his ideas that I think if
- 23:21Speaker 11: Hoko gets too close to him and tries to give
- 23:26Speaker 11: him the tax hikes that he wants and all the
- 23:29Speaker 11: spending he wants to do, then that's going to be
- 23:33Speaker 11: a trap. For her, which is why I think she
- 23:36Speaker 11: is now trying to run away from this idea of
- 23:40Speaker 11: a tax and spend democrat, you know, trying to get
- 23:43Speaker 11: the rich to come back from Florida, trying to fix
- 23:48Speaker 11: the Climate Act, which he had been a big supporter of.
- 23:51Speaker 11: So all these signs tell me that she sees some
- 23:56Speaker 11: danger in her relationship with him and his socialist ideas
- 24:03Speaker 11: and antie Israel advocacy. So I think he is kind
- 24:09Speaker 11: of He could help her a lot in the city,
- 24:12Speaker 11: or he could help sink her and the rest of
- 24:16Speaker 11: the state.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Yeah, but then the Bruce Blakeman adds, just right themselves.
- 24:19Speaker 2: You just cut together the flip flops of Kathy Hochel
- 24:22Speaker 2: and that's what did in John Carry. Don't you think
- 24:24Speaker 2: that would ruin her in the end?
- 24:28Speaker 11: Yes? I think it would certainly help to point out
- 24:31Speaker 11: the insincerity of her newfound concern about taxes and spending. Look,
- 24:39Speaker 11: Blakeman has been saying the right things. We haven't seen
- 24:45Speaker 11: any movement in his direction in the polls yet, but
- 24:50Speaker 11: there's lots of time, and I think he's got to
- 24:53Speaker 11: be quick on his seat to exploit every mistake that
- 24:59Speaker 11: she mates in this regard.
- 25:02Speaker 2: All right, Now, let me ask you a question if
- 25:03Speaker 2: you had to, you're taking a big exam, whose test
- 25:06Speaker 2: paper would you copy off of vocals or Blakeman's.
- 25:13Speaker 11: That's a self incriminating question.
- 25:18Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 25:18Speaker 2: So Blakeman is a phenomenal UH County executive. He'd be
- 25:23Speaker 2: a great governor. Let me let's get to mom Downey
- 25:26Speaker 2: for a second. What the hell is he doing going
- 25:28Speaker 2: to Rikers Island praying with the inmates and he's never
- 25:32Speaker 2: gone and done that with cops.
- 25:33Speaker 11: I mean no, or, as I say, is he going
- 25:37Speaker 11: to go and pray with the victims of the inmates?
- 25:40Speaker 11: Probably not? I mean he has aligned himself with the
- 25:47Speaker 11: outside forces, right, whether it's he's going to arrest Benjamin
- 25:54Speaker 11: Nating Yahoo, he comes to New York. Uh, he is
- 25:58Speaker 11: a log himself with the people who are problems in
- 26:03Speaker 11: New York, with people who want to destroy America, destroy Israel.
- 26:08Speaker 11: I mean A Post has another good piece today on
- 26:11Speaker 11: his wife and her illustrations for the anti Israro crowd.
- 26:17Speaker 11: So he's got a very checkered record, to say the least.
- 26:23Speaker 11: And the question is can enough of his supporters decide
- 26:29Speaker 11: they made a mistake so that he has to begin
- 26:33Speaker 11: to change his song.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Yeah, he's a I mean, I don't think he understands
- 26:38Speaker 2: the role of mayor. It's a management job. It's not
- 26:40Speaker 2: right being an activist or being a crazy.
- 26:44Speaker 11: Mark I had the exact same thought that you don't
- 26:47Speaker 11: see him murty dean mayor. You see him being a candidate.
- 26:53Speaker 11: He's still running. And this issue, he's clearly playing around
- 26:59Speaker 11: with the city budget and the bond readings. And three,
- 27:03Speaker 11: when three rating agencies within a short period say that
- 27:08Speaker 11: the city's outlook has gone from stable to negative and
- 27:13Speaker 11: they cite his plans and his preliminary budget, there's a
- 27:18Speaker 11: real warning shot across the val.
- 27:20Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, Michael Good, let me ask you one more thing.
- 27:22Speaker 2: The idea of sending the ICE agents into the airports
- 27:27Speaker 2: to back up the TSA's a good idea. But I
- 27:29Speaker 2: can understand Democrats want to attack the idea. But these
- 27:33Speaker 2: crazy statements like Richard Blumenthal saying the ICE agents will
- 27:37Speaker 2: grab children away from their families, will brutalize people, might
- 27:40Speaker 2: even shoot people. What is wrong with these Blumenthal types
- 27:45Speaker 2: to even say something like that.
- 27:46Speaker 11: Yeah, some disease Trump's arrangement, Right, anything Trump does has
- 27:53Speaker 11: to be the end of the world or does it
- 27:56Speaker 11: make news. And that's the way the Democrats are at
- 28:00Speaker 11: is hyperbolic competition. They have to say the most outrageous,
- 28:06Speaker 11: fear mongering things in order to get any attention. And
- 28:11Speaker 11: of course the media is happy to play along with
- 28:15Speaker 11: it because they're singing from the same tune. But look,
- 28:18Speaker 11: I do believe that something's got to be done about
- 28:22Speaker 11: the airports. And this is the response to Chuck Schumer's
- 28:28Speaker 11: refusal to vote for the Department of Homeland Security budget.
- 28:33Speaker 11: I mean homeland security. I mean it's amazing. Is just
- 28:38Speaker 11: the title itself should should wake them up.
- 28:41Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I wouldn't count on it. But Michael Goodwin
- 28:45Speaker 2: great stuff. Read his column, his Sunday column if you
- 28:48Speaker 2: missed it, and you get all his columns. They're all
- 28:50Speaker 2: up on the New York Post website. Michael Goodwin every
- 28:53Speaker 2: Sunday and Wednesday. And thanks for being with.
- 28:56Speaker 11: Us, my pleasure, Mark, thank you, take care.
- 29:00Speaker 2: If you haven't seen that bloominhal tweet. And then there
- 29:02Speaker 2: was a Chuck Schumer on Morning Joe This Morning, huffing
- 29:06Speaker 2: and puffing, and I mean, you got to give the
- 29:11Speaker 2: president credit when it comes to trolling democrats. He is
- 29:15Speaker 2: brilliant at it. The idea of sending ice into the airports.
- 29:18Speaker 2: What a great way to aggravate them into doing something.
- 29:21Speaker 2: And watch ice will do a great job speed up things,
- 29:24Speaker 2: and then the Democrats will go even more nuts. We're
- 29:27Speaker 2: gonna talk to Bruce Blakeman in the next hour. We
- 29:30Speaker 2: got a lot coming up, a lot to get to.
- 29:32Speaker 2: We'll get the justin Timberlake, they released the body cam
- 29:36Speaker 2: video of his arrest. We'll get to Hey, here's another
- 29:39Speaker 2: great trolling from President Trump. We'll get to this in
- 29:42Speaker 2: the next hour. Don't forget Buck and Clay at noon
- 29:45Speaker 2: today with an excellent show. Then you got the most
- 29:48Speaker 2: listened to radio show in America, Sean Hannity at three.
- 29:51Speaker 2: You got Jesse Kelly at six, and a very funny
- 29:55Speaker 2: Jimmy Fayla every night at nine on seven to ten.
- 29:58Speaker 2: Wr the Mark.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Some Own Show continues on sevent tenor.
- 30:06Speaker 2: Well, hey, it's gonna be actually pretty good. This week
- 30:10Speaker 2: can be in the fifties. And then I think Thursday
- 30:12Speaker 2: gets the seventy degrees again. Then the week after next
- 30:17Speaker 2: week in the sixties, we got you got nothing but
- 30:21Speaker 2: clear sailing for the rest of the world. It is
- 30:23Speaker 2: officially spring. That's a twenty third already, it's practically April.
- 30:30Speaker 2: Before you know, it'll be an income tax day, it'll
- 30:32Speaker 2: be a Memorial Day, it'll be summer. It'll be fourth
- 30:34Speaker 2: at July, it'll be Labor Day, it will fall, football
- 30:38Speaker 2: leaves changing, and hey, and then winter again. Right back
- 30:42Speaker 2: where we're starting. It does go by faster and faster
- 30:47Speaker 2: and faster every year. Hey, we got you know, if
- 30:51Speaker 2: you can't listen live to this show, you can always
- 30:54Speaker 2: get the podcast any place you get podcasts, iHeart app,
- 30:58Speaker 2: the Apple podcast app, Spotify, Pandora, any of these places
- 31:02Speaker 2: you'll find this show. So if you can't listen ten
- 31:04Speaker 2: to noon, just get the podcast. That way, you can
- 31:07Speaker 2: listen whenever you got time, and it's easy to do.
- 31:11Speaker 2: And if you're a podcast listen. Remember on the weekends
- 31:14Speaker 2: there's an extra show. There's a bonus segment back right
- 31:17Speaker 2: after the news on seven to tense.
- 31:20Speaker 1: The Marks among show on seven tenor.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Well, hey, rainy morning, but it's going to end in
- 31:29Speaker 2: an hour or two, and then it'll be clear and
- 31:31Speaker 2: clear for the rest of the week. So the Laguardi
- 31:33Speaker 2: Airport remains closed and it's'll be closed for a few hours.
- 31:36Speaker 2: They think they'll get it open this afternoon, but there
- 31:39Speaker 2: was this horrific crash. The truck crashed into the plane
- 31:43Speaker 2: on the runway. Now it turns out the air traffic controllers,
- 31:46Speaker 2: if you go over the tape, gave both clearance. The
- 31:50Speaker 2: truck was given the green light to cross the runway
- 31:55Speaker 2: at the same time the jet was given the okay
- 31:58Speaker 2: to land on the runway. Obviously a big screw up
- 32:02Speaker 2: by the air traffic controllers. Two pilots killed in the crash.
- 32:07Speaker 2: The whole front of the plane crumbled up. A flight
- 32:09Speaker 2: attendant was strapped into her seat and the seat was ejected.
- 32:14Speaker 2: The seat broke loose and she flew out of the plane.
- 32:17Speaker 2: She was ejected out of the plane landing on the runway.
- 32:20Speaker 2: She appears to be okay. She'll be hospitalized, but she's okay.
- 32:24Speaker 2: Forty one people on the plane. Forty one passengers in
- 32:29Speaker 2: the hospital right now as we speak. It was a
- 32:32Speaker 2: fire truck crossing the runway and the whole front of
- 32:35Speaker 2: the plane just crumbled. Planes are very light, thin aluminum.
- 32:40Speaker 2: Those fire trucks are heavy duty steel, and the fire
- 32:43Speaker 2: truck was fine, but the plane just crumbling up. Total
- 32:47Speaker 2: chaos everywhere. But again, LaGuardia closed and even if they
- 32:51Speaker 2: do reopen this afternoon, it's going to be backed up forever.
- 32:54Speaker 2: And ever, ICE agents were already at the airport this morning.
- 32:58Speaker 2: Tom Homan is on Sea End yesterday, where of course
- 33:01Speaker 2: they're trying to give them a hard time. They're trying
- 33:04Speaker 2: to go after him. What the hell are ICE agents
- 33:06Speaker 2: doing at an airport. Well, you got to explained to
- 33:11Speaker 2: that ICE agents have always been at the airport. It's
- 33:15Speaker 2: always been a place that ICE agents patrol. Obviously, if
- 33:18Speaker 2: you're looking for illegals, you look at bus stations, you'd
- 33:21Speaker 2: look at airports. They've always been there. And in this case,
- 33:27Speaker 2: they'll just increase the number there. Now, the Homan pointing out,
- 33:31Speaker 2: they're not gonna they're not going to actually get on
- 33:33Speaker 2: the X ray machine and work it. They're going to
- 33:36Speaker 2: work the perimeters. They're going to do a lot of
- 33:38Speaker 2: TSA agents are used to control the lines, control the
- 33:42Speaker 2: gates in and out, and all of that. ICE will
- 33:44Speaker 2: take over that, freeing up a lot of TSA agents.
- 33:49Speaker 2: So and the President said he'll increase the amount of
- 33:53Speaker 2: TSA going to the airports over the next few days. Hey,
- 33:57Speaker 2: Robert Mueller died the former Special Council former FBI director.
- 34:03Speaker 2: President Trump tweeted out, Robert Muller is dead. Good, horrible guy.
- 34:10Speaker 2: Now he won't be able to hurt any more innocent people. Now.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Of course, the left goes nuts a lot of flack.
- 34:16Speaker 2: How dare he? Well, again, he's not a politician. There's
- 34:20Speaker 2: no filter. If the worst guy in your life, the
- 34:23Speaker 2: guy that tried to put you and your family in
- 34:25Speaker 2: jail and came after you in a total fake witch hunt,
- 34:30Speaker 2: fake made up story, and persecuted you for two years
- 34:34Speaker 2: when you found out he was dead, I think any
- 34:37Speaker 2: normal person say, good, I'm glad that guy's dead. Now,
- 34:41Speaker 2: if you're on the left, of course, you go into
- 34:43Speaker 2: the standard. Well, you distinguish war hero with two purple
- 34:47Speaker 2: hearts and a bronze star, and how dare he's a
- 34:51Speaker 2: public servant? You know, well, hey, there's a lot of
- 34:54Speaker 2: guys with purple hearts and bronze stars. Not a lot,
- 34:56Speaker 2: but there's some that have ended up becoming murderers. Kill.
- 35:00Speaker 2: I mean, that's not a get out of jail free
- 35:02Speaker 2: card for the rest of your life. Having that it's great,
- 35:04Speaker 2: But if you did horrible stuff later in life, people
- 35:08Speaker 2: are allowed to call you out on it, and Muller,
- 35:12Speaker 2: if you go to my Twitter, you'll see a video.
- 35:14Speaker 2: Muller at the end became a real dirty, sort of sleazy,
- 35:19Speaker 2: kind of double talking his way around stuff. There was
- 35:22Speaker 2: absolutely no Russian collusion of any kind. There was no
- 35:27Speaker 2: Russian interference in the election, although Muller would say there
- 35:31Speaker 2: was because the only thing they found, the only thing
- 35:34Speaker 2: they came up with, they found absolutely no evidence of
- 35:37Speaker 2: any dealings with Trump and Russia. Nothing. But they claim
- 35:42Speaker 2: they did try to tamper with the election because they
- 35:44Speaker 2: spent one hundred thousand dollars on Facebook ads. Well, that's
- 35:49Speaker 2: not going to tamper with an election. Most major restaurants
- 35:53Speaker 2: in New York spent one hundred thousand dollars a year
- 35:55Speaker 2: on Facebook ads. It's nothing. The Hillary Clinton campaign spent
- 35:59Speaker 2: something like undred million on Facebook ads. One hundred thousand
- 36:03Speaker 2: on Facebook EDGs is not going to move the needle
- 36:05Speaker 2: even a billionth of an inch. So there was no
- 36:08Speaker 2: Russian collusion. It was all a hoax. It was all
- 36:10Speaker 2: made up. Muller was by that time an older guy
- 36:14Speaker 2: who wasn't as sharp as he used to be, and
- 36:16Speaker 2: he was led around by this Andrew Weisman, who is
- 36:19Speaker 2: one of the dirtiest cops ever, who has a history
- 36:24Speaker 2: of persecuting people on the right. It was really him
- 36:28Speaker 2: that ran. Muller ran the investigation, and Muller later had
- 36:31Speaker 2: to admit a lot of things.
- 36:32Speaker 12: The investigation did not establish that members of the Trump
- 36:35Speaker 12: campaign conspired with the Russian government in its election interference activities.
- 36:41Speaker 12: We did not address collusion, which is.
- 36:43Speaker 2: Not a legal term.
- 36:45Speaker 12: Rather, we focused on whether the evidence was sufficient to
- 36:48Speaker 12: charge any member of the campaign was taking part in
- 36:51Speaker 12: a criminal conspiracy, and it was not.
- 36:54Speaker 13: So.
- 36:54Speaker 2: He was a guy that wasted fifty seven million in
- 36:57Speaker 2: tax pair of money. Put out a four one hundred
- 37:00Speaker 2: page report. You can read it cover to cover. There
- 37:03Speaker 2: is absolutely no evidence of any Russia conspiracy of any kind.
- 37:08Speaker 2: Absolutely nothing there nothing. Hey, justin Timberlake was arrested. You
- 37:16Speaker 2: remember in It wasn't South. Where was it Bridgehampton? Where
- 37:21Speaker 2: was it sag Harbor? He was arrested in sag Harbor.
- 37:24Speaker 2: What's that place? That old hotel there, the American Hotel.
- 37:30Speaker 2: He's coming out of there. He had a few drinks,
- 37:32Speaker 2: a few too many drinks. It looks like drunk driving.
- 37:35Speaker 2: They arrested Timberlake and it's the Hampton's. It's Justin Timberlake.
- 37:42Speaker 2: He's a big, huge star. You get yourself the top attorneys,
- 37:45Speaker 2: You get yourself the right local attorneys, former prosecutors there,
- 37:49Speaker 2: and you can get it reduced down. It's basically a
- 37:52Speaker 2: good guy, justin Timberlake, shouldn't have been drinking and driving.
- 37:56Speaker 2: But they got it to kind of go away. But
- 38:00Speaker 2: they've now released the bodycam video of his arrest. I
- 38:04Speaker 2: don't know why they do this. There's no reason. I
- 38:06Speaker 2: understand why they do the bodycam video, but there's no
- 38:08Speaker 2: reason to make it public and put it out. Here's
- 38:10Speaker 2: here's some of the audio.
- 38:11Speaker 8: All right, at this point, based on the observations, you're
- 38:15Speaker 8: under the rest for suspicion of dragging hound talks dated.
- 38:18Speaker 1: That's what I could do around.
- 38:22Speaker 14: You want the man like.
- 38:25Speaker 10: I'm just callowing my friends home.
- 38:30Speaker 2: All right, just turn around for me, please. Yeah. If
- 38:33Speaker 2: you're trying to talk your way out of that, the
- 38:36Speaker 2: best way is to have to say, look sounded like
- 38:42Speaker 2: a young Joe Biden.
- 38:43Speaker 8: There.
- 38:44Speaker 2: They did arrest him. There's a part of the video.
- 38:46Speaker 2: You go see the whole video online. But there's a
- 38:48Speaker 2: part with the cop is pulled him over and he's
- 38:50Speaker 2: a grilling them, and then at one point he says,
- 38:52Speaker 2: I'm I'm justin Timberlake, and the cop says, you're just
- 38:57Speaker 2: in Timberlake. Would you recognize him?
- 39:01Speaker 15: If?
- 39:01Speaker 2: Of course you would, Yeah, I mean i'd recognize well,
- 39:04Speaker 2: but you know, he's probably late at night, he's a
- 39:05Speaker 2: little messed up, doesn't look like himself, disheveled, and you're
- 39:08Speaker 2: a cop in the middle of Suffolk County. You don't
- 39:11Speaker 2: expect to be pulling over justin Timberlake, but under arrest.
- 39:17Speaker 2: You know, it's a different world now, But it's amazing
- 39:20Speaker 2: you didn't see that as much of this like back
- 39:23Speaker 2: in the eighties or nineties, even though people were out
- 39:25Speaker 2: partying a lot more. This weekend, Greenwich, Connecticut, there's a
- 39:30Speaker 2: great restaurant, Polpo, Greenwich, connect I was there this weekend
- 39:34Speaker 2: talking to the owner, Ron Rosa. Now, this guy used
- 39:37Speaker 2: to own a lot of big New York restaurants in
- 39:39Speaker 2: the eighties and nineties, so we're talking about the good
- 39:41Speaker 2: old days. And there's people listening to this who can't
- 39:43Speaker 2: believe this conversation, because if you're in today's world, you
- 39:48Speaker 2: don't realize. Back in the eighties and nineties, everybody in
- 39:52Speaker 2: New York would go out all night long to every
- 39:54Speaker 2: There were great clubs. There was Regimes, there was o Bar,
- 39:57Speaker 2: there was Nell's, there was Ringfellows. There was a million
- 40:01Speaker 2: great clubs, beautiful, I mean, really great place to see.
- 40:06Speaker 2: Go out till four in the morning. They'd all had
- 40:08Speaker 2: to close it four that's closing time. Then everybody would
- 40:11Speaker 2: go to the Brass Array, this beautiful restaurant over there
- 40:13Speaker 2: in fifty second, everybody from everybody in the world. You'd
- 40:17Speaker 2: go out there and see a million famous faces four
- 40:19Speaker 2: to seven am, and then you go home about six
- 40:22Speaker 2: in the morning. There's none of that anymore. This guy's
- 40:25Speaker 2: in this little place in the American Hotel. It's got
- 40:28Speaker 2: a nice bar in there, sagcar. But this is probably
- 40:31Speaker 2: ten thirty eleven at night. Everything's dead by eleven o'clock
- 40:33Speaker 2: at night. Now eleven thirty. Ah, there's a couple of
- 40:37Speaker 2: clubs openly, but nothing great. And it's it's it's just
- 40:42Speaker 2: not the same anyone. Now, what was the difference? I'm
- 40:44Speaker 2: trying to figure out what happened. Well, if you go
- 40:46Speaker 2: back to the let's say the early nineties. There was
- 40:50Speaker 2: no Nobody had cell phones back then. Believe it or not,
- 40:52Speaker 2: there were no cell phones and there were really there
- 40:55Speaker 2: was no streaming, There was no Internet. There was cable TV,
- 40:59Speaker 2: but it was I had a primitive back then, maybe
- 41:01Speaker 2: had forty channels, not four hundred thirty channels. Maybe, And
- 41:05Speaker 2: there was no TV Land. There was no Bravo, there
- 41:09Speaker 2: was no Andy, there was nothing to watch. There was
- 41:11Speaker 2: nothing going on. After the Tonight Show went off here,
- 41:14Speaker 2: there was nothing, absolutely nothing, So people went out all night.
- 41:18Speaker 2: A lot of people are trying to figure out what
- 41:20Speaker 2: happened all that night life. Some think, well, once there
- 41:24Speaker 2: was cable TV with hundreds of channels, once there was
- 41:28Speaker 2: the Internet, everybody stayed home. They got home early. So
- 41:31Speaker 2: if you can figure it out, let me know. We'll
- 41:34Speaker 2: take some calls later. So you see, if you can
- 41:36Speaker 2: figure out what happened. Hey, nobody better at trolling people
- 41:40Speaker 2: than Donald Trump. Now, you know the crazy left tearing
- 41:44Speaker 2: down statues, erasing our history. The one big target was
- 41:48Speaker 2: Christopher Columbus. All over the country that were tearing down
- 41:52Speaker 2: Christopher Columbus statues. They tried to do it here in
- 41:54Speaker 2: New York, well in Baltimore. Do you remember that in
- 41:59Speaker 2: the harbor in Baltimore they tore down the thirteen foot
- 42:04Speaker 2: huge Columbus statue. This was twenty twenty. I think it
- 42:07Speaker 2: was the George Floyd Rites. But they tore down the
- 42:10Speaker 2: Christopher Columbus statue and they threw it into the harbor,
- 42:13Speaker 2: into the water, to the bottom of the harbor. Well,
- 42:17Speaker 2: people went down there and got the actual It was
- 42:19Speaker 2: a mess, but they got the stone, they got the
- 42:21Speaker 2: marble whatever it was, and they brought it up. It's
- 42:25Speaker 2: actually marble. They retrieved all as much of the marble
- 42:28Speaker 2: as they could.
- 42:29Speaker 8: Well.
- 42:29Speaker 2: Trump had it brought to the White House and he
- 42:32Speaker 2: had some marble experts take all of it and redo
- 42:35Speaker 2: it into a new Christopher Columbus statue. And over the
- 42:39Speaker 2: weekend they yesterday they put it up on the White
- 42:41Speaker 2: House grounds. It's a beautiful statue, a monument to Christopher Columbus,
- 42:46Speaker 2: the Italian Explorer. Looks great. It's a one ton replica,
- 42:51Speaker 2: also thirteen feet one ton replica of the Baltimore statue.
- 42:55Speaker 2: They've recreated it. It's now standing on the grounds of
- 42:58Speaker 2: the White House. That great news. They were talking about
- 43:02Speaker 2: four about the ridiculous mayor and first lady. I mean,
- 43:05Speaker 2: she's absolutely crazy. Now turns out she was creating artwork
- 43:09Speaker 2: for an anti Israel campaign years ago, the Democratic Socialists
- 43:14Speaker 2: of America, Anti Semites, anti Israel. She was creating the artwork. Yeah,
- 43:20Speaker 2: it turns out that's her career. She's a professional illustrator,
- 43:23Speaker 2: provided graphics for them. But it was a terrible anti
- 43:26Speaker 2: Semitic campaign she was in on it. Meantime, the crazy
- 43:31Speaker 2: mayor goes to Rikers Island, has a Muslim prayer service
- 43:36Speaker 2: with the Muslim prisoners on Rikers Island. He wanted to
- 43:39Speaker 2: pray with them. Did you ever think you'd lived to
- 43:42Speaker 2: see this? I mean, you had great mayors. You had Juliana,
- 43:46Speaker 2: you had Bloomberg, You had great, great mayors locking up
- 43:49Speaker 2: the criminals, getting them off the street. Then you had
- 43:52Speaker 2: some crazy politicians. You had Andrew Cuomo closing the prisons,
- 43:56Speaker 2: proud to announce he's closing prisons, letting the prisoners out.
- 44:00Speaker 2: He had built Deblasio is going to close Rikers on it.
- 44:02Speaker 2: I mean that's bad enough. Now you got a mayor
- 44:04Speaker 2: who goes to the prison and prays with them. They're
- 44:08Speaker 2: in prison, they're murderers, they're killers. As Michael Goodwin said
- 44:12Speaker 2: last hour, why don't you go pray with the victims
- 44:14Speaker 2: of the people they killed? These people, I mean they're
- 44:17Speaker 2: the most awful criminals and rikers on. He's praying with them,
- 44:21Speaker 2: absolutely insane. Meantime, he's just, as we said before, just
- 44:25Speaker 2: being an activist. He's just being an activist campaigning. He's
- 44:30Speaker 2: just campaigning. He's supposed to be a mayor, which means
- 44:32Speaker 2: you're supposed to be managing. The mayor's job really is
- 44:35Speaker 2: just to provide services, make sure everything's running efficiently. He's
- 44:39Speaker 2: not doing any of that. He's just out campaigning. Look
- 44:42Speaker 2: at you, look at the potholes. You know how. In fact,
- 44:46Speaker 2: one reason you don't need speed cameras right now. Everybody
- 44:48Speaker 2: drives slowly right now because they just got to stare
- 44:50Speaker 2: at the road and watch for potholes. There's so many
- 44:52Speaker 2: of them. Because of the weird weather we had, the blizzards,
- 44:56Speaker 2: the temperatures up and down, we have more potholes than
- 44:59Speaker 2: ever ever. In fact, the pothole reports coming in set
- 45:04Speaker 2: an all time record, almost twenty three thousand reports of
- 45:09Speaker 2: potholes coming in in the last month, twenty three thousand.
- 45:12Speaker 2: It's unbelievable. But they're not getting filled fast enough. They
- 45:16Speaker 2: don't have enough manpower to fill them. The city agency
- 45:20Speaker 2: that fills the potholes said they're about three hundred people short.
- 45:23Speaker 2: I mean, this is what you're supposed to do. You're
- 45:25Speaker 2: not supposed to be at Riker's Island praying with murderers.
- 45:27Speaker 2: You're supposed to be filling the potholes. Anyway, we'll take
- 45:31Speaker 2: some calls in a minute. Eight hundred three two one
- 45:34Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two
- 45:38Speaker 2: one zero seven ten down or.
- 45:41Speaker 1: Marks alone on seven tenor.
- 45:45Speaker 2: Hey, we'll take some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 45:48Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number eight hundred three two
- 45:52Speaker 2: one zero seven ten. Let's go to Michael on the
- 45:55Speaker 2: east side. Michael, how are you hey?
- 45:58Speaker 4: Mark?
- 46:00Speaker 16: Over in London, there was a terrorist attack on three
- 46:06Speaker 16: Jewish ambulances that were parked in front of a synagogue
- 46:11Speaker 16: in Golden.
- 46:12Speaker 2: Terrible, terrible anti semitism all over Europe and especially in London. Yeah, yeah,
- 46:18Speaker 2: all right, thanks for sharing a supple. Let's go to
- 46:21Speaker 2: uh Tom and Yonkers. Tom, how are you doing?
- 46:26Speaker 4: I'm okay? Mark?
- 46:27Speaker 9: How are you good?
- 46:29Speaker 4: Good?
- 46:30Speaker 8: Too many commercials you've got to do something.
- 46:33Speaker 2: Well, yeah, people say that, Yeah, how come we have
- 46:36Speaker 2: so many commercials? Why do you think we have so
- 46:37Speaker 2: many commercials?
- 46:40Speaker 4: Because you have to pay for the program?
- 46:43Speaker 2: Well, yeah, you see, you listen to say I like
- 46:45Speaker 2: that other station they don't have but they have very
- 46:47Speaker 2: short breaks, only two minutes.
- 46:50Speaker 8: Well I've been listening to w o R for seventy
- 46:53Speaker 8: three years and it's getting a little little too much.
- 46:58Speaker 2: I know, I know, but you see, we when you
- 47:00Speaker 2: get the big ratings, the problem is the advertising rate
- 47:03Speaker 2: goes up. And when you get a high rate for
- 47:06Speaker 2: the commercials, the sales department are they listening now, they're
- 47:09Speaker 2: all downstairs, they're on the fifth floor, they're all they
- 47:13Speaker 2: just go crazy. They'll sell more commercials. You know, it's
- 47:15Speaker 2: a four minute break. Well, we're selling so many commercials
- 47:17Speaker 2: in the okay, Now it's a five minute break. Next,
- 47:19Speaker 2: you know, it's a six minute break. Not all the time.
- 47:21Speaker 2: But you can go down there and try to stop them,
- 47:25Speaker 2: but it's not going to work. So when you hear
- 47:27Speaker 2: a lot of commercials, it generally means ratings are very
- 47:31Speaker 2: very very high, and the commercials are selling like crazy.
- 47:34Speaker 2: And when you listen somewhere else you go. I like
- 47:35Speaker 2: that station. They don't have a lot of commercials. There's
- 47:38Speaker 2: a reason for that. So let's go to Dave in mahwah, Dave,
- 47:42Speaker 2: how you doing, Mark, good, good buddy in outer space.
- 47:49Speaker 2: You sound like you're one thousand miles away.
- 47:52Speaker 4: Well hold on, let me let me switch over to
- 47:55Speaker 4: the phone thing here.
- 47:56Speaker 8: Oh god, all right, you there.
- 47:59Speaker 2: Now, let me ask you question. It's like you got
- 48:01Speaker 2: two million people listening. How many have to listen before
- 48:03Speaker 2: you'll actually pick up the phone instead of using the speaker?
- 48:07Speaker 4: Yeah, well two million is not that much.
- 48:11Speaker 2: Five million before he actually holds the phone.
- 48:12Speaker 4: Five five.
- 48:13Speaker 17: So listen, you're you're a smart guy, and you've been
- 48:16Speaker 17: saying that we're energy independent.
- 48:18Speaker 8: We don't need the oil.
- 48:20Speaker 2: Oil independent, Yes.
- 48:21Speaker 17: Oil independent. We don't need we don't need the horror
- 48:24Speaker 17: moves so whatever it's called. Yes, then how come the
- 48:27Speaker 17: gas prices are up a dollar?
- 48:29Speaker 4: Then?
- 48:29Speaker 2: Mark, Well, because the WTI, which is the Texas crewed
- 48:32Speaker 2: that's mostly what we use. The wt I has artificially
- 48:35Speaker 2: raised it for no reason at all, just to go
- 48:37Speaker 2: along with the world. Expect this in the next week
- 48:40Speaker 2: or two for the President to go after them and
- 48:42Speaker 2: make it put it. But there was absolutely no reason
- 48:45Speaker 2: whatsoever for them to raise the price on crude, Absolutely
- 48:49Speaker 2: no reason. They did it just to do it. So uh,
- 48:53Speaker 2: we have never done it before. But don't be surprised
- 48:56Speaker 2: if you see the president start to talk about some
- 48:58Speaker 2: kind of legislation, find something for They just raised it
- 49:03Speaker 2: for no reason at all.
- 49:04Speaker 4: You know.
- 49:04Speaker 2: Also in New York, California, other states, when the price drops,
- 49:09Speaker 2: they raise the tax just to keep the price where
- 49:11Speaker 2: it was. Let's go to Norman and Long Island. Norman,
- 49:14Speaker 2: how you doing, yoh, hi.
- 49:16Speaker 14: Good morning, Mark.
- 49:17Speaker 2: Yes, Norman.
- 49:19Speaker 14: Have you noticed the difference between the protests that are
- 49:24Speaker 14: against the war and for the war. How happy the
- 49:27Speaker 14: people are that are for the war and how nasty
- 49:31Speaker 14: and mean the people are who are against the war.
- 49:35Speaker 2: Yeah, where are these protests you're talking about the left
- 49:38Speaker 2: wing protests against the wall? Well, but you remember they're
- 49:42Speaker 2: protesting all the time anyway. If they know if the
- 49:44Speaker 2: war stops tomorrow, they'll still they find something else to protest.
- 49:48Speaker 2: They're always protesting, and many of them are filled infiltrated
- 49:52Speaker 2: with paid protesters who know how to look angry, know
- 49:54Speaker 2: how to rile everybody up, and also if you got
- 49:56Speaker 2: Trump derangement syndrome, that's one of the symptoms. You're just angry,
- 50:01Speaker 2: just seething, raging with anger at all times. Let's go
- 50:04Speaker 2: to Ernie in Northport, Ernie, how you doing, Good morning, Mark.
- 50:09Speaker 13: I was just thinking about how much the people of
- 50:12Speaker 13: Iran wish they had a second Amendments.
- 50:15Speaker 2: Well, yeah, that's the argument, you know, uh, you know,
- 50:20Speaker 2: that's what they do in the communist country or a
- 50:22Speaker 2: dictatorship for singing to disarm the population. Let's go to
- 50:26Speaker 2: Wagner in Philadelphia. Wagner, how you doing, mister Mark?
- 50:30Speaker 9: Good?
- 50:30Speaker 15: Thank you for Astianas and the Democrats.
- 50:33Speaker 9: I'm telling you these unbelievable.
- 50:35Speaker 15: These people, they pushing these people to complain about and
- 50:41Speaker 15: in process about the North Kings. No, no dictator, you
- 50:46Speaker 15: know who our dictator. Don't don't let nobody say something.
- 50:51Speaker 4: Run I get it.
- 50:52Speaker 15: Stop President and these people Umbelio. They're disrespecting our president.
- 50:57Speaker 15: On I ninety five here in Philadelphia you can see
- 51:00Speaker 15: sign sign of Trump fucking the suspecting the president.
- 51:09Speaker 2: All good call, thanks for calling. Yeah. They they're having
- 51:12Speaker 2: these no Kings protests again. Now this weekend's coming. A
- 51:15Speaker 2: weekend there's a lot gonna be a lot of no
- 51:17Speaker 2: kings protests. If you really hate kings, if you really
- 51:22Speaker 2: hate kings, you should be so happy the Iatola was
- 51:26Speaker 2: taking it. That was a king, that was a dictator.
- 51:29Speaker 2: Let's go to Ted and paramus Ted.
- 51:31Speaker 5: How you doing, Yeah, Mark, let's see regarding the increase
- 51:38Speaker 5: in the price of the WTI oil. Yeah, okay.
- 51:45Speaker 13: These guys who run the oil fields, they know exactly
- 51:49Speaker 13: how much to get that oil that's down there in
- 51:53Speaker 13: all around their fields, how much it's gonna cost.
- 51:56Speaker 5: They got wells that work.
- 51:58Speaker 2: It's not that simple. But the w there's different types
- 52:01Speaker 2: of oil. There's the UH, there's Brent crude, North Atlantic oil,
- 52:05Speaker 2: and the Europe uses most that we use a little
- 52:07Speaker 2: of that. Most of the oil we use is WTIS
- 52:10Speaker 2: Western Texas, West Texas Intermediate, and the WTI has been
- 52:15Speaker 2: pretty bad about our just for no reason, all artificially,
- 52:18Speaker 2: artificially raising the price even though we don't need to.
- 52:21Speaker 2: If the story of the Straits of Horn Moose close,
- 52:23Speaker 2: it doesn't affect us. We don't use that oil. We
- 52:26Speaker 2: may maybe maybe one point five percent. That's about it.
- 52:29Speaker 2: Europe is totally dependent on the Straits of Horne mouse.
- 52:32Speaker 2: You can see the price increase over there, but here
- 52:35Speaker 2: not justified. Hey, when we come back, Bruce Blakeman will
- 52:38Speaker 2: be with us the next governor of New York. We'll
- 52:41Speaker 2: talk to Bruce Blakeman next on seven to ten.
- 52:44Speaker 1: Wor give woor o, Bri said on the iHeartRadio app
- 52:48Speaker 1: to hear marximone and all the WR hosts in an instance.
- 52:54Speaker 1: Now back to the Marximo Show on WR.
- 52:58Speaker 2: Well, Bruce Blakeman should be the next governor of New York.
- 53:01Speaker 2: He's the Nassau County executive, best county executive in America.
- 53:05Speaker 2: That's a job that's just like being a governor, and
- 53:08Speaker 2: he's the best at it. And if you want to help,
- 53:10Speaker 2: you go to Blakemanfronewyork dot com. Blakemanfro new York dot com.
- 53:15Speaker 2: Bruce Blakeman, how you doing.
- 53:18Speaker 4: Doing really good? Mark?
- 53:20Speaker 2: Well, you're running against this crazy Kathy Hochel who tells
- 53:24Speaker 2: everybody to leave New York. Now, she's all over the place.
- 53:26Speaker 2: Don'mbady to come back? Is that her admitting that she
- 53:29Speaker 2: was wrong?
- 53:31Speaker 4: You know, Mark, when I saw the video of her
- 53:35Speaker 4: asking people to please come back to New York from Florida.
- 53:41Speaker 4: All I could think about was, this can't be true.
- 53:44Speaker 4: It's got to be an AI video. It's got to
- 53:47Speaker 4: be a Saturday Night Live skit. You can't make this up.
- 53:50Speaker 4: We are the most overtaxed, overregulated state in the United States.
- 53:55Speaker 4: We have one of the highest energy bills in the
- 53:59Speaker 4: United States. Just look at your electric bill. Your electric
- 54:02Speaker 4: bill is only thirty percent going for energy. The rest
- 54:07Speaker 4: of the bill is excessive delivery charges, taxes, and the
- 54:12Speaker 4: green energy scam mandates that she puts on your electric bills.
- 54:18Speaker 4: When I become governor, I'll cut your electric bills in half.
- 54:21Speaker 4: We're going to cut out the green energy scam. We're
- 54:23Speaker 4: going to bring down the delivery charges, and we're going
- 54:26Speaker 4: to bring down the taxes. That's number one. Number two
- 54:29Speaker 4: is the way to get people back here is to
- 54:32Speaker 4: lower taxes, not to raise taxes. Her and her buddy
- 54:37Speaker 4: Zoon Mandami, they want to raise property taxes by nine
- 54:41Speaker 4: and a half percent in New York City. That means
- 54:44Speaker 4: that if you a home own a home in Brooklyn
- 54:46Speaker 4: or Queens or any of the other five boroughs, your
- 54:49Speaker 4: taxes are going to go up significantly. She also wants
- 54:52Speaker 4: to institute a death tax. Her and Zoon Mandami want
- 54:55Speaker 4: to put a desk tax that you work hard your
- 54:58Speaker 4: whole life, you build up a little mess egg. You
- 55:02Speaker 4: have a home that's probably worth, you know, six seven hundred,
- 55:05Speaker 4: eight hundred thousand dollars, and your estate's nine hundred thousand dollars.
- 55:10Speaker 4: Let's say she wants to take half of that. She
- 55:13Speaker 4: wants to take half of it. Zoah Mundammie wants to
- 55:15Speaker 4: take half of it. They're working together. They have a
- 55:19Speaker 4: secret plan that after the election they will raise taxes,
- 55:24Speaker 4: just like Kathy Hokeel did with congestion pricing. She said
- 55:28Speaker 4: she was going to put it on pause right after
- 55:30Speaker 4: the election. We got congestion pricing. And by the way,
- 55:34Speaker 4: congestion pricing is not just going to be in Lower Manhattan.
- 55:37Speaker 4: She'll bring it to Queen's Boulevard, She'll bring it to
- 55:39Speaker 4: Flatbush Boulevard. She'll bring it to all of the major
- 55:43Speaker 4: thoroughfares throughout the state. Because she needs to raise money
- 55:47Speaker 4: for her green energy scam, for her medicaid scams, and
- 55:50Speaker 4: for her not for profits that produce nothing for the
- 55:54Speaker 4: people of New York, but they pay billions of dollars
- 55:57Speaker 4: to her friends. Who give her a big campaign and contributions.
- 56:01Speaker 2: Yeah, and our budget is double the budget of Florida,
- 56:04Speaker 2: even though that's a bigger state with more people. What
- 56:07Speaker 2: can be done to cut that budget down?
- 56:10Speaker 4: Well, first of all, we have to cut out, as
- 56:12Speaker 4: I said, the funding for all of these not for
- 56:16Speaker 4: profits like they have in Minnesota. These are just not
- 56:21Speaker 4: for profits that are set up not to help people,
- 56:24Speaker 4: but to give people who contribute to Kathy Hokel a
- 56:28Speaker 4: job a big salary. They produce nothing. And I will
- 56:32Speaker 4: have an immediate review of every program in the state
- 56:37Speaker 4: of New York. We will look not to cut services.
- 56:40Speaker 4: We want to deliver better services than Kathy Hockel, because
- 56:43Speaker 4: her services are terrible. I want to increase the quality
- 56:47Speaker 4: of the services, but get them to people who really
- 56:49Speaker 4: need them and only have programs that work, not fund
- 56:53Speaker 4: all these experimental programs that Kathy Hockel has.
- 56:56Speaker 2: Yeah, which went Bruce Blakeman, who we hope is the
- 56:59Speaker 2: next governor in New York. If you want to help, donate, volunteer,
- 57:02Speaker 2: go to Blakeman for New York dot com Blakemanfronewyork dot com.
- 57:06Speaker 2: Now people will say, well, you're behind in the polls.
- 57:09Speaker 2: But you're always behind in the polls when you win.
- 57:11Speaker 2: Isn't that Wasn't that the case in Nasau County.
- 57:15Speaker 4: Yeah, Listen, I ran for reelection in a county with
- 57:19Speaker 4: one hundred and ten thousand more Democrats than Republicans, and
- 57:24Speaker 4: I won in a landslide. Every time I run, the
- 57:28Speaker 4: polls have me behind, They have me in a position
- 57:33Speaker 4: that is totally not true. These polls are polls from
- 57:39Speaker 4: very far left universities that skew the polls towards the
- 57:45Speaker 4: Democrats so that they frustrate our fundraising, so they bring
- 57:48Speaker 4: down our morale. Look, I know how to win in
- 57:53Speaker 4: democratic territories because I bring the same thing to every
- 57:57Speaker 4: neighborhood and every community. That means safe and secure communities,
- 58:03Speaker 4: by increasing the number of police, not defunding the police.
- 58:07Speaker 4: By keeping taxes. Well, I haven't raised taxes a penny
- 58:11Speaker 4: in four years. Plus. I took one hundred and fifty
- 58:14Speaker 4: million dollar tax increase that was planned by my predecessor,
- 58:17Speaker 4: and I canceled it my first week in office. So
- 58:21Speaker 4: the fact is that you've got to make it more
- 58:23Speaker 4: affordable by lowering taxes, lowering electric bills, and then you'll
- 58:29Speaker 4: get people back to New York. And you also have
- 58:31Speaker 4: to create jobs, economic development, which creates prosperity, which means
- 58:36Speaker 4: more money goes in your pocket. If there's money more
- 58:39Speaker 4: in your pocket, you can make important choices on how
- 58:42Speaker 4: you want to spend the money and not government. People
- 58:45Speaker 4: are miserable in New York. They need a governor that's
- 58:49Speaker 4: going to put New Yorkers first, not spend billions of
- 58:51Speaker 4: dollars on illegal migrants. That's our taxpayer dollars. The Caffe
- 58:56Speaker 4: hocal is spending on people who've been here for fifteen minutes.
- 59:00Speaker 4: When we could cut taxes, when we could improve our infrastructure,
- 59:04Speaker 4: spend money on education, improve our hospitals, and she spent
- 59:08Speaker 4: it on people who just crossed the border, giving them
- 59:12Speaker 4: free housing, free food, free transportations, and a free cell phone.
- 59:16Speaker 4: That stops. I will be a governor that puts New
- 59:18Speaker 4: Yorkers first. My job is to make for a more
- 59:21Speaker 4: prosperous state, a safer state, and to make New Yorkers
- 59:25Speaker 4: happy again.
- 59:25Speaker 2: Yeah. And now, Bruce Blakeman, what about money. She's got
- 59:29Speaker 2: the thirty two million or something in the bank.
- 59:34Speaker 4: Yeah, well, we're raising money at a very very large clip.
- 59:38Speaker 4: We are doing very very well. Remember she's been at
- 59:42Speaker 4: this for four years. She's an incumbent. We expect to
- 59:46Speaker 4: get we expect to get outspent. But if you have
- 59:51Speaker 4: the issues on your side, which we do, talking about overtaxation, overregulation,
- 59:58Speaker 4: cashless bale, the hall deck, raising things that make us
- 1:00:01Speaker 4: less prosperous and less safe. I'm running against her on
- 1:00:05Speaker 4: those issues, and that means more than anything. That means
- 1:00:09Speaker 4: more than money. So we're getting our message out. People
- 1:00:12Speaker 4: are starting to collaborate with us. They're raising money, They're
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: out there volunteering, they're using their cell phones to text, people,
- 1:00:22Speaker 4: to email people social media. We're getting millions of hits
- 1:00:26Speaker 4: on social media. I expect that not only will we
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: be victorious, but I think that we will decisively win,
- 1:00:34Speaker 4: and then I will be the governor on January first.
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: Well, we all hope. So now you're a much better speaker,
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: you can out debate her any day. What about Has
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: she agreed to a debate of any kind?
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: No? I challenged her to a debate last month. She
- 1:00:49Speaker 4: said that I didn't answer a question from a reporter
- 1:00:53Speaker 4: because I was chicken. Actually, the reporter asked the same
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: question four times, but didn't like my answer.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: Yeah, so she.
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: Said, oh, you know, Blakeman, he won't even answer the question.
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: I said, listen, I'll tell you what. I'll debate you
- 1:01:07Speaker 4: every week from now to election day. Let's see who's chicken.
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: And of course she never got back to me. She's
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: not going to debate me unless she absolutely has to,
- 1:01:17Speaker 4: because she's afraid of her record being exposed by me.
- 1:01:23Speaker 4: I'm going to compare my record where I have the
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: safest county in America according to US News and World Report,
- 1:01:29Speaker 4: where I haven't raised taxes, where we have economic development.
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: People are doing very, very well in my county, compared
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: to her record where she has to go and beg
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: people in Florida to come back to New York because
- 1:01:40Speaker 4: she's made it unsafe, She's made it unaffordable. She's the
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: one that has made New York unaffordable. I will be
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: the governor that makes it affordable again.
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: Let's hope everybody I do what you can to help
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: Bruce Blakeman. If you want to help, volunteer or you
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: want to donate, go to Blakemanfronewyork dot com, Blakeman for
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: New York dot Com. Bruce Blakeman. Good luck. I know
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: you'll do it and we'll talk again soon.
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: Thanks so much. Mark Simon, You're the best.
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: All right, take care. Yeah, we got we gotta help
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: get rid of this crazy governor. So to which again, Hey,
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: Bucking Clay. Noon today, Sean Hannity, the most listened to
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: radio show in America. Three, Jesse Kelly at six, you
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: got Jimmy Fayle at nine. You know, Curtis is back.
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: It's Curtis Sliwa and Larry Menti every morning here on
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: seven ten WR.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: Plugged into Everything New York on the Voice of New York.
- 1:02:35Speaker 15: Mark Simon on sevent ten, wor.
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: Well, Hey, LaGuardia Airport remains closed because of that terrible crash.
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: It happened late last night. It was in the Air
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: Canada Express, one of those regional jets arrived at Laguardi Airport.
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: There was a fire truck that wanted to cross the runway.
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: Once the truck enters the runway area, it's under the
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: control of air traffic controllers. The air traffic controllers gave
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: the fire truck that go ahead to cross the runway
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: and then it was just a horrible mistake. At the
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: same time they gave the plane permission to land on
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: the runway. Total mistake. Air traffic controllers the National Transportation
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: Safety Board is on the ground right now investigating. They
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: expect to get the airport reopen later this afternoon. We'll
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: see just a terrible tragedy. Canadian Prime Minister speaking out
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: about it. Everybody very upset about it. Hey, we're out
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: of time, but i'll be back tomorrow ten to noon.
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: You can listen then, or get the podcast and you
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: can listen anytime you want. See you tomorrow on seven
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: to ten wor
