Trooper Fires Shots During High-Speed Pursuit | San Antonio News
In a high-speed chase near Brackettville, Texas, a DPS trooper fired shots at a fleeing Lexus after multiple attempts to stop it failed — including PIT maneuvers and spike strips. The driver, 18-year-old Franklin Munoz Perez from Honduras, was hit with smuggling and evading arrest charges, while his 16-year-old Honduran passenger faces similar charges. The pursuit ended when Border Patrol intervened; two others who fled on foot were also apprehended. No one was injured.
