- 0:26Speaker 1: Good morning and welcome to your Tuesday. It is September 1st,
- 0:31Speaker 1: 2026 on Mix 102.9. It's my birthday. It's my birthday.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Thank you for decorating the studio, Candace Lopez.
- 0:40Speaker 2: I can't take the credit.
- 0:41Speaker 5: Oh. Oh. No.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Pooh did it.
- 0:43Speaker 2: I definitely didn't do it.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Oh, Pooh did it? I did some of it. Oh, okay.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Pooh did the part that I hate.
- 0:48Speaker 4: The balloons?
- 0:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 0:50Speaker 4: Yeah, I got drafted into that.
- 0:52Speaker 5: Oh.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Voluntold. Oh, well, thank you. Well, you know what? Then
- 0:55Speaker 1: never mind. I take my thank you back to Pooh.
- 0:58Speaker 1: I was going to say thank you, Pooh, but he
- 0:59Speaker 1: was told to do it.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Well, we know that you hate balloons.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:04Speaker 2: So, of course, you need balloons for your birthday.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Yeah, I hate balloons. Let's put 75 balloons.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Oh, there's so many balloons in here.
- 1:11Speaker 1: In the studio.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Luckily, they're on the floor, though.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Well, thank you to Zan, because you know what? I
- 1:15Speaker 1: know it was all Zan. Yeah. It wasn't these two.
- 1:18Speaker 5: Oh, wow.
- 1:18Speaker 6: My schedule is kind of weird, so I would have
- 1:21Speaker 6: had to have gotten here at like 3.30 to decorate.
- 1:23Speaker 1: No, either way, it's fine. Zan, thank you, Zan. Our boss, Zan.
- 1:27Speaker 6: Yeah, thank Zan.
- 1:27Speaker 1: She's the best.
- 1:28Speaker 6: She makes sure the decor.
- 1:29Speaker 5: Is on point.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Nothing like Pooh admitting that he was told to decorate.
- 1:32Speaker 4: I was trying to, because I know you don't like balloons.
- 1:34Speaker 4: I was like, he don't like balloons.
- 1:36Speaker 1: I don't care. Let's do it. Well, thank you, Zane.
- 1:39Speaker 1: That means a lot. See, I can be a curmudgeon
- 1:41Speaker 1: and still appreciate it.
- 1:42Speaker 6: Yeah, that's true.
- 1:43Speaker 1: That's my new favorite word, a curmudgeon.
- 1:45Speaker 6: That's what you are, at least in the 5 o'clock
- 1:47Speaker 6: hour before we go on the air.
- 1:49Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Yeah, you get your curmudgeon out.
- 1:51Speaker 1: What does that mean again, like a grumpy old man?
- 1:53Speaker 6: Yeah, it's just kind of like grumpy, you know, somebody
- 1:55Speaker 6: who's complaining and negative.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Yeah, from 5 to 6, it's my vent hour. Yeah.
- 2:02Speaker 2: I mean, who isn't a curmudgeon when they have to
- 2:04Speaker 2: wake up?
- 2:04Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 2:04Speaker 2: When we wake up?
- 2:05Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. You know what, Candace? I was
- 2:07Speaker 1: sad yesterday.
- 2:08Speaker 5: Why?
- 2:09Speaker 1: I was so sad because you know what? Yesterday, play
- 2:12Speaker 1: some sad music if you don't mind. I appreciate this.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 2:15Speaker 2: What happened?
- 2:15Speaker 1: Well, yesterday was the last day that Willow Bend was open.
- 2:19Speaker 5: No.
- 2:20Speaker 1: I don't know why. It hit me. Yeah. Yesterday was
- 2:23Speaker 1: the last day that Willow Bend was open. They're starting demolition,
- 2:25Speaker 1: I guess.
- 2:26Speaker 5: Really?
- 2:26Speaker 1: So, yeah. So, I drove by and I did a
- 2:28Speaker 1: lap around it. Why are you laughing?
- 2:31Speaker 6: I just see you being the only car at Willow
- 2:33Speaker 6: Bend yesterday, just crying.
- 2:35Speaker 1: No, literally, the only one. I was going to walk in,
- 2:39Speaker 1: but I'm like, how sad does that look? Because then
- 2:42Speaker 1: the stores are closing.
- 2:43Speaker 6: Yeah, maybe there were some good sales yesterday.
- 2:46Speaker 1: There's no stores open. Oh, there's like one store was
- 2:48Speaker 1: like a knife store. Oh, it was there through thick
- 2:52Speaker 1: and thin. Were they giving stuff away? No, no.
- 2:55Speaker 2: It should have been.
- 2:56Speaker 1: But it was weird just to think. I don't know
- 2:58Speaker 1: why it was like just weird to think it's gone
- 3:00Speaker 1: because I don't know. That was like my first favorite
- 3:02Speaker 1: mall here.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Because I took my son there to see Santa. Yeah.
- 3:06Speaker 1: You know, for like the first time. So I drove
- 3:09Speaker 1: by the food court and just kind of shed a
- 3:11Speaker 1: tear and then drove off and then ended up cussing
- 3:13Speaker 1: somebody out to cut me off. But the point is,
- 3:16Speaker 1: what a sad day.
- 3:16Speaker 2: That is sad.
- 3:18Speaker 1: It was close. I know. Malls are going away. I
- 3:20Speaker 1: was going to say malls are going away, but they're
- 3:21Speaker 1: not really.
- 3:22Speaker 2: No, they're always packed when I go.
- 3:23Speaker 5: I know.
- 3:24Speaker 1: So at least Stonebriar is when I go there and
- 3:26Speaker 1: the gallery. Either way, Candace Lopez, how are you? For sure.
- 3:29Speaker 3: I'm good.
- 3:29Speaker 1: I'm good.
- 3:29Speaker 6: I'm glad we're celebrating your birthday today because Zendaya has
- 3:32Speaker 6: her birthday today.
- 3:33Speaker 5: Who?
- 3:34Speaker 2: Zendaya. Did you know you and her have the same birthday?
- 3:37Speaker 5: Oh, no.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Yeah, Jungkook from BTS.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Really?
- 3:40Speaker 5: Dr.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Phil. Dr. Phil?
- 3:41Speaker 2: It's a big day for birthdays.
- 3:43Speaker 1: I think Dr. Phil and I are the same age.
- 3:45Speaker 6: I know you love celebrity birthdays, too.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Oh, I love celebrity birthdays. You know me.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Carlos Sainz, the F1 driver. Carlos Sainz from F1.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Oh, cool.
- 3:55Speaker 5: Who's that?
- 3:57Speaker 4: Dr.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Phil and Carlos.
- 3:59Speaker 3: And BTS.
- 3:59Speaker 1: And Zendaya. And Zendaya.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Jungkook, yeah, from BTS.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Anybody else?
- 4:04Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 4:04Speaker 2: There's probably some more, but those are the ones you
- 4:06Speaker 2: would know.
- 4:07Speaker 6: Gloria Estefan.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Oh, okay. I know Gloria.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Actually, Mary Gibb.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Are we doing a list?
- 4:11Speaker 2: Yeah, we're doing a list for your birthday.
- 4:13Speaker 6: A birthday list.
- 4:14Speaker 5: God.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Hello. It's me.
- 4:17Speaker 2: It's your birthday.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Hold on. You know I love that guy. Yeah. He
- 4:20Speaker 1: left us this message, and I'll play it till the
- 4:22Speaker 1: day I die. Hello.
- 4:24Speaker 4: Here's a happy birthday announcement you can use for your listeners.
- 4:28Speaker 1: When is their birthday? Happy birthday to you. Thank you.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Come on. Happy birthday to you. Oh, thank you. I
- 4:37Speaker 1: appreciate that. I just love his first.
- 4:39Speaker 4: Hello.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Hello.
- 4:41Speaker 5: Hello.
- 4:41Speaker 1: All right, Producer Poo, what's up with you? Oh, man.
- 4:44Speaker 4: Yesterday, my phone kept acting up like all my contacts
- 4:47Speaker 4: were disappearing.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Oh, it's a flip phone. No, I got an Apple,
- 4:51Speaker 1: you know, 17. iPhone? Yeah.
- 4:53Speaker 5: 17?
- 4:53Speaker 6: We're not there yet.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Yeah, it is.
- 4:56Speaker 6: 17?
- 4:57Speaker 1: Yes, where you been, granny? Oh, my bad. We have
- 4:59Speaker 1: a 17? Yes.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 5:02Speaker 6: My bad.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Talk about the curmudgeon in the studio. All right, you're right.
- 5:05Speaker 5: I'm sorry.
- 5:06Speaker 1: We ain't got no 17s. See?
- 5:07Speaker 4: Are we really up to 17?
- 5:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:11Speaker 5: Wow, guys.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Wow, your boy upgraded. Remember, I used to have a
- 5:15Speaker 1: 10 for a long time. I think Pooh's got a
- 5:16Speaker 1: newer phone than me.
- 5:17Speaker 2: I thought he had a 12.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Yeah, no. I have a 10. He went from a
- 5:20Speaker 1: 10 to a 17.
- 5:20Speaker 2: All right, we are up to 17.
- 5:21Speaker 4: Yeah, so I had to go to the Apple store
- 5:24Speaker 4: over here at the Galleria, and I was there for
- 5:26Speaker 4: an hour and a half just for them to go.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Hit one little switch in my little settings. You know what, though? See,
- 5:32Speaker 1: I blame you on this. He's just technically not savvy.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Yeah, you could have Googled how to fix.
- 5:37Speaker 1: It, probably. Who's the only one that will go to
- 5:41Speaker 1: a place to get something fixed? I knew he would
- 5:43Speaker 1: say that. He won't chat GBTs. He won't Google it.
- 5:46Speaker 1: He's the guy that calls you instead of texting like
- 5:49Speaker 1: it's 1920. Right. Like, let me call him and see
- 5:53Speaker 1: where he's at.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Hey, you on your way?
- 5:54Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 5:55Speaker 5: Okay.
- 5:55Speaker 2: That could have been a text.
- 5:56Speaker 1: You're going to call me to see if I'm on
- 5:58Speaker 1: my way. I'm not even late yet. I Googled it, and.
- 6:02Speaker 4: It said turn it off and then wait about five
- 6:05Speaker 4: minutes and turn it back on.
- 6:06Speaker 1: It should reset.
- 6:06Speaker 2: That's always the answer. Restart your equipment.
- 6:09Speaker 1: I did that. And then it didn't work, and then
- 6:11Speaker 1: you should have went into settings to figure out what
- 6:14Speaker 1: was going on. Well, I didn't know all that. And
- 6:16Speaker 1: then you should check. This is how much I will
- 6:18Speaker 1: do to avoid human contact.
- 6:20Speaker 3: Right.
- 6:21Speaker 1: After all that, I would have chat GBT'd. What's wrong
- 6:23Speaker 1: with my phone? Here's what it's doing. Yeah. Then I
- 6:26Speaker 1: would have investigated. Then I would have looked on YouTube. Yeah.
- 6:29Speaker 1: My last resort. Would have been going talking to people
- 6:32Speaker 1: at a Genius Bar.
- 6:33Speaker 2: For sure.
- 6:33Speaker 1: That would have been my last thing. Shout out to Chad.
- 6:36Speaker 1: He hooked me up.
- 6:38Speaker 4: He hooked me up. I was like, man, I feel stupid.
- 6:41Speaker 4: I sat up here and watched a.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Video on the screen down there for an hour. Just
- 6:46Speaker 1: for y'all. Watch a video?
- 6:47Speaker 4: Yeah, they were doing some little thing where they show
- 6:49Speaker 4: you how to take pics and stuff like that.
- 6:51Speaker 1: And there's a guy up talking with a headset. And
- 6:54Speaker 1: I was like, okay. Oh, you're old. Yeah, I got stuck.
- 6:57Speaker 1: I was stuck. All right, senior citizens. Today... We're going
- 7:01Speaker 1: to learn how to text.
- 7:02Speaker 6: Did you sit on the stool?
- 7:04Speaker 5: Yes.
- 7:05Speaker 2: A little stool.
- 7:05Speaker 6: It looks like daycare.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Let me ask you this. How big is your font?
- 7:09Speaker 5: 24. 102.9.
- 7:09Speaker 1: The new Mix 102.9.
- 7:11Speaker 2: It's Texas Top Stories.
- 7:12Speaker 6: On the 10s with Billy the Kid in the Morning.
- 7:22Speaker 5: Only on the new Mix 102.9.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Got a chance to see Usher and Chris Brown coming
- 7:27Speaker 2: up next.
- 7:27Speaker 1: We're doing it all day long on the 10s. If
- 7:29Speaker 1: you want to win four tickets, make sure you listen
- 7:31Speaker 1: all day and a chance to get on that VIP
- 7:33Speaker 1: rise or two, which would be huge. Candace Lopez, what
- 7:36Speaker 1: is going on?
- 7:36Speaker 6: Well, starting today, Dallas police will officially take over traffic
- 7:39Speaker 6: enforcement and crash investigations on the tollway. The Texas Department
- 7:45Speaker 6: of Public Safety's agreement to patrol NTTA roads expired yesterday.
- 7:50Speaker 2: So if you're getting pulled over.
- 7:51Speaker 6: Uh, it's not going to be the sheriff's deputies or
- 7:53Speaker 6: state troopers anymore.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Just a heads up.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Well, I feel like they're still going to be creeping though.
- 7:58Speaker 2: They might be.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:59Speaker 6: But I don't know what, uh, who can do what
- 8:01Speaker 6: anymore other than, you know, Dallas police. Um, but they
- 8:05Speaker 6: do have some changes in the Metroplex on what their patrols, uh,
- 8:08Speaker 6: entail as of today.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Well, just don't speak.
- 8:10Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:11Speaker 2: I mean, that's a good plan.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:12Speaker 5: Candace.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Candace. Lopez.
- 8:15Speaker 2: You know, I do my best.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Leadfoot Lopez.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Oh, Anyways, let's talk about this.
- 8:22Speaker 6: Soccer star Lionel Messi announced his retirement from Argentina's national
- 8:27Speaker 6: team yesterday. So he posted on Instagram saying the decision
- 8:31Speaker 6: was painful, but he believes the time is right to
- 8:33Speaker 6: step away. Argentina, of course, won the World Cup in
- 8:37Speaker 6: 22 and then lost this summer to Spain in the finals.
- 8:40Speaker 6: He is still going to play with Inter Miami, though.
- 8:43Speaker 6: His contract there goes through the 2028 MLS season.
- 8:45Speaker 1: So, yeah.
- 8:48Speaker 5: Aw, sad.
- 8:48Speaker 2: How old is he?
- 8:50Speaker 5: He's 39.
- 8:50Speaker 1: 39 and retiring.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, that's amazing.
- 8:52Speaker 1: I mean, good for him.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Yeah, to play that long?
- 8:55Speaker 1: Yeah. No, it really is. To play that long, but
- 8:57Speaker 1: it's still so young.
- 8:59Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 9:00Speaker 1: To be retired, never work again.
- 9:02Speaker 6: Good for him. I mean, he's going to live his
- 9:04Speaker 6: best life for a while.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Meanwhile, Pooh and I are going to be working until
- 9:07Speaker 1: we're crusty and dead. I mean, literally. I'm going to
- 9:10Speaker 1: be in diapers. No. Oh, yeah. Pooh's going to be
- 9:13Speaker 1: changing it.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Oh, wait.
- 9:16Speaker 5: What? What?
- 9:17Speaker 1: I didn't sign up for that. Well, neither did I.
- 9:19Speaker 2: That's a fun retirement package for sure.
- 9:23Speaker 6: Guys, the Kelly Clarkson show came to an end yesterday
- 9:25Speaker 6: after seven seasons on TV. The show aired more than
- 9:28Speaker 6: 1,200 episodes, and yesterday's final show featured a Kelly by
- 9:33Speaker 6: request hour where she basically just sang, you know, fan requests.
- 9:37Speaker 6: She did Kelly Oki, and she sang the K-pop Demon
- 9:40Speaker 6: Hunter song Golden, which was so beautiful. And, of course,
- 9:43Speaker 6: she had her kids there. They talked about their favorite
- 9:46Speaker 6: moments on the show. Her son said his favorite moment
- 9:49Speaker 6: was talking to Jason Momoa. And then he also sang
- 9:52Speaker 6: My Way with the band.
- 9:54Speaker 2: He said that was a favorite moment of his.
- 9:55Speaker 6: And then her daughter said, I like watching you shine
- 9:58Speaker 6: every single day.
- 9:59Speaker 5: Aww.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Kelly got emotional over that, of course.
- 10:02Speaker 1: I can imagine. Yeah.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Sad to see that show come to an end. But
- 10:05Speaker 2: I'm happy for her.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Yeah. You know, just enjoy your life.
- 10:08Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 10:08Speaker 1: She's been under so much stress and had so much
- 10:10Speaker 1: trauma the past couple years. Just enjoy your kids.
- 10:13Speaker 6: Yeah, and that's what she said. You know, this is
- 10:15Speaker 6: really about them and taking the job on in the
- 10:17Speaker 6: first place was about them and creating stability. But now
- 10:21Speaker 6: I think she's ready to go back to Montana or
- 10:23Speaker 6: somewhere a little more low-key and just be a mom.
- 10:25Speaker 3: For a while.
- 10:26Speaker 6: So congrats to Kelly Clarkson. I'm Candace Lopez. Those are
- 10:29Speaker 6: your Texas Top Stories.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Don't forget all-day Usher and Chris Brown tickets on Mix 102.9.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Another shot to win at 7.10. We do it on
- 10:37Speaker 1: the 10s pretty much every hour all day, so make
- 10:39Speaker 1: sure you listen. And we got Dirty Little Secret at 7.30.
- 10:42Speaker 1: First call of the day, $ 250 gift card to Living Spaces.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Who's this?
- 10:45Speaker 6: Hey, this is Israel Gomez.
- 10:48Speaker 1: What is your name, Miguel? Israel. Israel, what's up? Israel,
- 10:51Speaker 1: how are you? I'm good.
- 10:52Speaker 5: How are you?
- 10:53Speaker 1: I'm good. Guess what? You're caller number one. Congratulations!
- 10:56Speaker 2: There you go, Israel.
- 10:59Speaker 1: There you go. What do people call you? Do they
- 11:02Speaker 1: call you Izzy? Yeah, they do call me Izzy, actually.
- 11:04Speaker 1: I like the name Izzy.
- 11:05Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 11:06Speaker 1: That's such a good name. That's such a cool name.
- 11:08Speaker 1: I like that, Izzy. Well, hey, congratulations. Where are you from?
- 11:10Speaker 6: I'm from Garland, Texas.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Oh, G-Town? G-Town? Stay down. Hey, thank you, Izzy. What
- 11:17Speaker 1: are you doing right now? Where I work. Where do
- 11:19Speaker 1: you work? City of Garland. Oh, you do? Okay. Wait,
- 11:24Speaker 1: did you say police? No, water utilities. Oh, water utilities. Okay, good.
- 11:28Speaker 1: I was about to say, Pooh's got warrants out there. Yeah,
- 11:30Speaker 1: don't talk about water off. Yeah, can you do me
- 11:34Speaker 1: a favor? Can you turn Pooh's water off for me?
- 11:36Speaker 1: Matter of fact, let me borrow that little water key. Yeah,
- 11:41Speaker 1: don't worry.
- 11:41Speaker 7: I'll send some guys over there.
- 11:42Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Hey, thank you, Izzy. We appreciate you, man. You stay
- 11:46Speaker 1: right there. Don't work too hard today.
- 11:47Speaker 6: All right.
- 11:48Speaker 1: All right, hold on. Oh, crap. I just hung up
- 11:51Speaker 1: on him.
- 11:52Speaker 5: Oh, no.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Oh, my stupid hand. Oh, I just hung up on Izzy. Oh, Izzy,
- 11:57Speaker 1: call back here in a minute.
- 11:58Speaker 6: Sorry.
- 11:58Speaker 1: That's my bad. Well, I'm trying to work everything. I
- 12:01Speaker 1: have one hand. It's okay. Trying to drink coffee. We'll
- 12:03Speaker 1: cut you some slack.
- 12:03Speaker 2: It's your birthday.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Yeah. Thank you.
- 12:06Speaker 5: Okay.
- 12:06Speaker 1: All right. Have you had your water turned off, Candace?
- 12:09Speaker 5: No.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Oh, you got to, man. See, you didn't grow up
- 12:11Speaker 1: kind of like.
- 12:12Speaker 2: I don't remember that.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Yeah, you ain't lived unless you had the water turned on.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Until you turn on the water and nothing happens.
- 12:17Speaker 5: Oh.
- 12:18Speaker 1: And you're like, what is going on?
- 12:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Then you figure it out. Yeah. Real quick. All right.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Then you got to go to the neighbor's house and
- 12:25Speaker 1: get their hose to do a shower. Oh, no. Did
- 12:28Speaker 1: I do that once? Yeah, maybe.
- 12:30Speaker 4: Okay.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Real or fake news. You're ready. I'm going to give
- 12:32Speaker 1: you three headlines. You got to tell me which one
- 12:33Speaker 1: is fake. Three headlines. Which one is fake? Headline number one.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Texas considering digital driver's licenses that could be added directly
- 12:42Speaker 1: to your Apple wallet. Texas considering digital driver's licenses that
- 12:47Speaker 1: could be added directly to your Apple wallet. Headline number two.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Hiker snaps pic of either Bigfoot or an old guy
- 12:55Speaker 1: skinny dipping. Experts are unsure. Hiker snaps pic of either
- 13:00Speaker 1: Bigfoot or an old guy skinny dipping. Experts are unsure.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Headline number three. A man stole a car and accidentally
- 13:10Speaker 1: drove himself to jail. What? A man stole a car
- 13:14Speaker 1: and accidentally drove himself to jail. Three headlines right there.
- 13:19Speaker 1: You got to tell me which headline is the fake one. Yesterday,
- 13:22Speaker 1: producer Poo won. Will he do the same today? Will
- 13:25Speaker 1: he make it two days in a row? Candace Lopez,
- 13:27Speaker 1: you go first. You tell us what you want to do.
- 13:31Speaker 6: Today uh lock me in for that last story the
- 13:34Speaker 6: stolen car story all.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Right oh you want to go first you want to
- 13:37Speaker 1: she's locking it in quick.
- 13:38Speaker 6: Today yeah just let's just go with it didn't.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Even think about passing it to the poo-poo all right
- 13:43Speaker 1: let's lock that in you said first story the last
- 13:46Speaker 1: story oh last story.
- 13:47Speaker 6: Yeah the stolen car and he accidentally drove himself to jail.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Got you yeah all right producer poo which one do
- 13:51Speaker 1: you think is the fake story lock.
- 13:54Speaker 4: Me in for that first story digital licenses i don't
- 13:57Speaker 4: believe that okay you.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Don't think of a technology you Space world in 2026,
- 14:01Speaker 1: that could happen.
- 14:02Speaker 2: There are some states doing that, right?
- 14:04Speaker 1: Too many hackers out there. Lock me in. Okay, let's
- 14:06Speaker 1: lock it in. It is locked in, and the winner
- 14:08Speaker 1: today is.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Producer Pooh! Two days in a row, it's a record, LaPoopoo!
- 14:25Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 14:26Speaker 1: All right, there you go. Yes, that is fake news.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Texas not considering that right now. I don't know why
- 14:31Speaker 1: they wouldn't, though.
- 14:32Speaker 6: There's a bunch of states doing it.
- 14:33Speaker 1: I thought about it yesterday, and I'm like, who carries
- 14:35Speaker 1: actual stuff on them anymore?
- 14:37Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Like, one day it's going to happen.
- 14:39Speaker 3: For sure.
- 14:39Speaker 1: It's just a matter of when and how, because, I mean,
- 14:41Speaker 1: would you be okay with it? Like, even cops are
- 14:44Speaker 1: sometimes okay with you showing them a picture of your
- 14:47Speaker 1: driver's license. Oh, really? Yeah, I mean, it's not ideal,
- 14:50Speaker 1: but it's, I guess, better than nothing.
- 14:51Speaker 2: I mean, everything else is in my wallet. Why not
- 14:53Speaker 2: in my Apple wallet?
- 14:54Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the problem is I barely have my real
- 14:56Speaker 1: wallet on me.
- 14:57Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 14:57Speaker 1: All right, the real stories. Let's get to it. Wow. Wow.
- 15:01Speaker 1: A man stole a car and accidentally drove himself to jail.
- 15:04Speaker 5: What?
- 15:05Speaker 1: This is a real story. It happened in Florida. A
- 15:07Speaker 1: man in Orange County, Florida, stole a car, led deputies
- 15:10Speaker 1: on a chase, which ended in a jail parking lot.
- 15:14Speaker 1: The sheriff's office shared the video. And basically, at the
- 15:16Speaker 1: end of the chase, he showed the guy, you know, scrambling.
- 15:19Speaker 1: He didn't know where he was going. He's just taken off.
- 15:21Speaker 1: He turns directly into the jail. Wow. Gets out, jumps
- 15:26Speaker 1: a fence, right? Right. Then he runs towards a pond
- 15:30Speaker 1: and jumps in the pond. If you're jumping in a
- 15:32Speaker 1: pond in Florida, you're an idiot.
- 15:34Speaker 5: Right.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Like, what are you doing?
- 15:36Speaker 6: Yeah, it's risky.
- 15:36Speaker 1: You know how many alligators there are everywhere? Right. You
- 15:39Speaker 1: want to get chomped like that? But literally, his car
- 15:42Speaker 1: was then parked in the jail, in the jail parking lot.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Well, it'll be there when he gets out.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Yeah. You don't need to tow it. I mean, you can't,
- 15:52Speaker 1: and it's always people running from cops that have, like,
- 15:55Speaker 1: The stupidest warrant.
- 15:56Speaker 5: Right.
- 15:57Speaker 1: You know, it's like you had a parking ticket warrant.
- 15:59Speaker 1: And then you ran from the cops and fought them,
- 16:00Speaker 1: had to get pepper sprayed.
- 16:01Speaker 3: Jeez.
- 16:02Speaker 1: And now you have a felony. You idiot.
- 16:04Speaker 6: Pull over.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Right. It's not worth it. If you're listening right now
- 16:06Speaker 1: and thinking about running from the cops in your Altima,
- 16:09Speaker 1: because that's usually who runs from the cops. Altima energy.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I don't know if Altima drivers ever stop for the cops.
- 16:16Speaker 1: I think they just go immediately. All right. The other story.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Hiker snaps a pic of either Bigfoot or an old
- 16:23Speaker 1: guy skinny dipping. Experts are unsure. First of all, if
- 16:27Speaker 1: you're an expert in this, why?
- 16:30Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 16:30Speaker 1: Second of all, you're not an expert if you can't
- 16:32Speaker 1: tell the difference.
- 16:33Speaker 3: Okay.
- 16:34Speaker 1: How are you not knowing? Somebody check on their grandpa.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Bigfoot researchers are trying to identify a strange figure photographed
- 16:42Speaker 1: near a remote pond in something. place upstate New York,
- 16:46Speaker 1: I can't pronounce, but it's a blurry picture. They're now
- 16:49Speaker 1: calling it the Syracuse figure. It appears to be about
- 16:52Speaker 1: four feet, nine inches tall, and was seen wading in
- 16:56Speaker 1: the water. Researchers admit it could simply be an old
- 17:01Speaker 1: guy skinny dipping, or it might be Bigfoot.
- 17:04Speaker 3: Wow.
- 17:04Speaker 1: They say its size, location, and appearance... Also leave room
- 17:08Speaker 1: for some other ideas. What about the chupacabra?
- 17:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, 4'9?
- 17:12Speaker 1: Yeah, 4'9. Weird. That's not Bigfoot. I don't know. Well,
- 17:17Speaker 1: that's what I would think. But we don't know because
- 17:20Speaker 1: we don't know if Bigfoot exists or not.
- 17:22Speaker 5: Right.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Some people say, swear he does. There's people out there
- 17:24Speaker 1: that do Bigfoot expeditions and they make, you know, Bigfoot calls,
- 17:28Speaker 1: like Sasquatch calls and try to bring Bigfoot in. Who's
- 17:30Speaker 1: doing that?
- 17:31Speaker 2: Right, but don't they say he's like seven feet tall?
- 17:33Speaker 1: Yeah. Do we know, Candace?
- 17:34Speaker 2: Super big?
- 17:35Speaker 1: My bigger question is... Yeah, I know, but the bigger
- 17:38Speaker 1: question is, I'd rather be Bigfoot than some guy.
- 17:40Speaker 5: Old guy?
- 17:42Speaker 1: Skinny dipping? Skinny dipping in a pond? No. Who's out
- 17:45Speaker 1: here just in a random pond skinny dipping?
- 17:47Speaker 3: Right.
- 17:48Speaker 1: I almost told you guys something so funny. What? I
- 17:51Speaker 1: can't do it, though.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Almost?
- 17:52Speaker 5: Almost.
- 17:53Speaker 1: What?
- 17:53Speaker 6: You still can.
- 17:55Speaker 1: It's one of those things you could tell we're live
- 17:57Speaker 1: on the air, because if I thought about this, I
- 18:00Speaker 1: would never really talk about it.
- 18:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:02Speaker 1: But I might talk about it. Yesterday. Okay. Here we go.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Damn it.
- 18:07Speaker 2: What is it?
- 18:08Speaker 1: So you know how you ever forget a towel when
- 18:10Speaker 1: you're in the shower? Yeah. And then you have to
- 18:12Speaker 1: do that walk of shame. Yeah. Right, right, right. So
- 18:14Speaker 1: I took a shower yesterday after the show.
- 18:16Speaker 5: Okay.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Don't ask me why, because I don't know. I just
- 18:19Speaker 1: wanted to get clean. Right.
- 18:20Speaker 3: All right.
- 18:21Speaker 1: And I forgot my towel. So I walked to the
- 18:24Speaker 1: cabinet to get a towel, and I saw my butt
- 18:28Speaker 1: in the mirror.
- 18:29Speaker 5: Oh, no.
- 18:31Speaker 1: It was so white.
- 18:32Speaker 5: Right.
- 18:32Speaker 1: It was the whitest thing I've seen in a long time.
- 18:35Speaker 5: Oh.
- 18:36Speaker 1: So later on that day, I went into the pool. Yeah. No,
- 18:41Speaker 1: you didn't.
- 18:41Speaker 6: What'd you do? Did you get some sun there?
- 18:43Speaker 3: No, you didn't.
- 18:43Speaker 1: And I pulled my pants down to tan my butt. No,
- 18:46Speaker 1: you didn't.
- 18:48Speaker 5: Oh, no.
- 18:50Speaker 1: No, you didn't. I can't believe I'm confessing this.
- 18:53Speaker 5: Wow. No, you didn't.
- 18:54Speaker 1: And I was on the phone. I was on the
- 18:58Speaker 1: floaty and I'm like, I got to get some sun
- 19:00Speaker 1: over there.
- 19:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:01Speaker 1: And I was just buns up.
- 19:03Speaker 6: Wow.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Just buns up living my best life. And I thought
- 19:07Speaker 1: to myself, if somebody looks fine for whatever reason. Yeah. Right.
- 19:11Speaker 1: If I were to die in this position. Oh, and
- 19:14Speaker 1: they find me on a floaty. Just just buns out.
- 19:18Speaker 1: They're going to have so many questions. I should leave
- 19:20Speaker 1: a note.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Or something just in case.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Or what if somebody has a drone by my house?
- 19:24Speaker 5: Right.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Doing delivery. The Walmart drone comes by. And it's like,
- 19:30Speaker 1: look down there. What are those two white things? What's
- 19:32Speaker 1: that flat white thing? Does anybody else do?
- 19:37Speaker 2: I'm sure people do. Yeah, I know you're not the
- 19:38Speaker 2: only one.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Have you ever done it?
- 19:40Speaker 2: No, but I'm sure you're not the only one.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Who have you ever done? No, I'm dark enough. Okay,
- 19:44Speaker 1: It's going to be a beautiful sunrise. Sun, by the way,
- 19:49Speaker 1: coming up late.
- 19:50Speaker 5: Yeah, it is.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Starting to come up real late.
- 19:53Speaker 5: Wow.
- 19:53Speaker 1: It's Mix 102.9. Billy the Kid, Candace Lopez, Producer Pooh
- 19:56Speaker 1: is here. It's going to be hot today, but not 100.
- 19:59Speaker 1: They're saying 90, so. Good. Good. A little bit better tomorrow,
- 20:02Speaker 1: maybe even some rain, maybe some rain Thursday, depending on
- 20:04Speaker 1: how far that tropical storm moves up. We'll see. All right.
- 20:08Speaker 1: We got to talk about the latest trend that I
- 20:10Speaker 1: am just shocked, but not shocked, actually. The more I
- 20:13Speaker 1: think about it, and you really think this through, that
- 20:16Speaker 1: is happening right now in the dating scene, that maybe
- 20:19Speaker 1: this is why Poo and I are going to be
- 20:21Speaker 1: single forever.
- 20:21Speaker 3: Okay.
- 20:22Speaker 1: There's something new called pheromone maxing.
- 20:27Speaker 5: Oh, boy.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Okay. Do you know what pheromone maxing is? I do. Oh,
- 20:30Speaker 1: you do? I do.
- 20:32Speaker 2: I heard about this.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Why don't you explain to everybody what pheromone maxing is
- 20:36Speaker 1: when it comes to men and what they're doing or
- 20:38Speaker 1: not doing before dates?
- 20:40Speaker 6: Well, men are skipping showers before dates, hoping that like
- 20:43Speaker 6: the natural scent will make them more attractive.
- 20:49Speaker 2: Can't say I agree that this is going to work, man.
- 20:51Speaker 1: I mean, well, you know, I don't know. It's definitely
- 20:54Speaker 1: a new trend that people are talking about. Ignoring basic hygiene.
- 20:57Speaker 1: To boost pheromones. This is the thing that people are doing.
- 21:02Speaker 1: And it even gets worse, though, than that. There's even
- 21:05Speaker 1: steps that men are taking that they swear. Some of
- 21:08Speaker 1: these guys online swear this is working when it comes
- 21:11Speaker 1: to them going out. And they've noticed, like, you know,
- 21:13Speaker 1: guys are doing these things online going, I'm going to
- 21:16Speaker 1: go out tonight taking a shower. And I'm going to
- 21:19Speaker 1: see how many numbers I can get and how lucky
- 21:20Speaker 1: I get with the ladies. And then they go out
- 21:23Speaker 1: again and they don't shower again. And they do other things,
- 21:27Speaker 1: you know, by like, for example, one of the things
- 21:29Speaker 1: that people are doing are not washing their shirt, wearing
- 21:32Speaker 1: the same shirt the next day. No wearing unwashed shirts.
- 21:37Speaker 1: And some are even going to other extremes, you know, showering,
- 21:42Speaker 1: not showering for multiple days. And they swear there's some
- 21:45Speaker 1: guys online swearing by this method saying they get more
- 21:50Speaker 1: numbers and more attention from women than When they don't shower.
- 21:54Speaker 2: That's impossible.
- 21:55Speaker 1: And I know, I feel like no woman is going
- 21:57Speaker 1: to be really honest about this because it's kind of
- 21:59Speaker 1: weird to say. If you do think that that's kind
- 22:02Speaker 1: of hot, you're not going to take pride in going,
- 22:05Speaker 1: I love a nice, dirty man.
- 22:07Speaker 6: I mean, there's some men who can probably get away
- 22:09Speaker 6: with this one day, but three days and you're not
- 22:12Speaker 6: wearing deodorant or cologne?
- 22:14Speaker 1: No. There's been studies on this that do show some
- 22:19Speaker 1: indications that A man's—now, hear me out. A man's natural
- 22:26Speaker 1: musk is— That's musk, not must. That's what I'm saying, musk.
- 22:31Speaker 2: There's a difference, for sure.
- 22:34Speaker 1: It's not musty. It's musk. They say it's biologically irresistible
- 22:40Speaker 1: for some women.
- 22:40Speaker 6: Okay, that's probably true if you've laid around on the
- 22:43Speaker 6: couch for the day, you haven't gone outside to sweat,
- 22:46Speaker 6: you haven't done any physical activity— You know what I mean?
- 22:48Speaker 6: If you haven't overexerted yourself, but if you're outside doing
- 22:52Speaker 6: anything around here, you're going to be funky tomorrow.
- 22:55Speaker 1: That's my thing. But some, okay. Now some women like funky. Okay. Some,
- 23:01Speaker 1: we've had ladies call up and say, I love, remember
- 23:04Speaker 1: we had a girl call up and her dirty little
- 23:05Speaker 1: secret was she loves a man with BO.
- 23:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:08Speaker 2: I remember that.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Do you remember that? That's rare though. Is it, is
- 23:13Speaker 1: it rare or is it women going? I don't want
- 23:14Speaker 1: to admit this.
- 23:16Speaker 2: No, I think that's rare.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Have you ever smelled your husband, Eric?
- 23:19Speaker 6: Uh-huh.
- 23:20Speaker 1: And he's a little musty. And you're like, mm, mm, mm.
- 23:24Speaker 6: He naturally just smells good in general.
- 23:26Speaker 5: See?
- 23:27Speaker 1: Wait a minute.
- 23:28Speaker 2: After a little while.
- 23:29Speaker 1: He's pheromone maxing.
- 23:30Speaker 6: Now, nobody can go three days without this.
- 23:32Speaker 1: So you're saying after a couple days with no shower,
- 23:36Speaker 1: you give him a good sniff and you like what
- 23:37Speaker 1: you smell.
- 23:38Speaker 2: He's probably fine after a day.
- 23:39Speaker 5: Wow.
- 23:40Speaker 6: Really?
- 23:41Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 23:41Speaker 1: After being in the yard and all that? I don't know.
- 23:45Speaker 6: About being in the yard and stuff he probably could
- 23:47Speaker 6: get away with it.
- 23:48Speaker 1: For example there's like i've heard of women going you
- 23:51Speaker 1: know my man's a mechanic and i love when he
- 23:52Speaker 1: gets home and he smells like gas.
- 23:54Speaker 6: And grease okay yeah i can see women being attracted
- 23:56Speaker 6: to that you can that's different though than bo yeah
- 24:00Speaker 6: because there's a scent that comes along with mechanic mechanical
- 24:03Speaker 6: work that's not like bo i.
- 24:06Speaker 1: I mean wow okay ladies i want to know what
- 24:08Speaker 1: interesting smell what smell on a man do you love.
- 24:11Speaker 6: Yeah, I think it also depends on what you eat
- 24:13Speaker 6: and stuff, too, because that changes your.
- 24:15Speaker 2: What do you mean?
- 24:16Speaker 1: Your scent. No, it does not.
- 24:18Speaker 5: Yes, it does.
- 24:18Speaker 1: Does it really?
- 24:20Speaker 5: 100%.
- 24:20Speaker 1: So what do I smell like?
- 24:21Speaker 5: Yeah, well, I don't know.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Whataburger?
- 24:22Speaker 2: I'm not smelling you, but.
- 24:24Speaker 1: Smell poo.
- 24:25Speaker 2: If you ate Whataburger yesterday.
- 24:27Speaker 1: Well, I used to smell like Sour Patch Kids. Now
- 24:30Speaker 1: I don't. I guess. You think... I mean, do you think... See,
- 24:34Speaker 1: you just kind of admitted it, though, Candace. I'm going
- 24:35Speaker 1: to be honest.
- 24:36Speaker 2: Well, I mean, there's levels.
- 24:37Speaker 6: You can't go three days without showering, wearing deodorant or.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Anything like that.
- 24:40Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Nobody wants to date you.
- 24:42Speaker 1: What's your ideal length that Eric won't shower?
- 24:45Speaker 2: I think a day.
- 24:46Speaker 6: I wouldn't go longer than that.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Wow. Is it a leftover cologne smell? Is it leftover deodorant? Yeah,
- 24:53Speaker 1: I think my.
- 24:54Speaker 2: Husband wears cologne because everyone always asks him what it is.
- 24:57Speaker 6: I think it just lasts a long time.
- 24:59Speaker 2: And so it.
- 25:00Speaker 6: Just works for him.
- 25:01Speaker 1: It works with his whatever.
- 25:03Speaker 2: Yeah, chemistry.
- 25:04Speaker 1: His skin pores.
- 25:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:05Speaker 1: And all that stuff.
- 25:06Speaker 5: Right.
- 25:06Speaker 1: He's got good pores. Okay, I got you. Do you
- 25:09Speaker 1: like the smell of him and maybe the grass that
- 25:11Speaker 1: he rolls around in sometimes?
- 25:14Speaker 2: It's not awful. Yeah, the grass.
- 25:16Speaker 1: It's nice, fresh grass. No, I'm being honest because some
- 25:18Speaker 1: people love the smell of fresh cut grass.
- 25:20Speaker 2: Yeah, it's nice.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Maybe you like him when he rolls around in some
- 25:22Speaker 1: grease and grass.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Well, he's not rolling around in it.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Yeah, I've seen him roll around in the front yard.
- 25:26Speaker 2: He works in his cars and does a lot of stuff.
- 25:28Speaker 1: He's not rolling around in the front yard, but he's
- 25:31Speaker 1: a connoisseur of grass.
- 25:32Speaker 2: For sure.
- 25:33Speaker 1: He's Grass Daddy.
- 25:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Lawn Daddy. Lawn Daddy.
- 25:37Speaker 2: Very different.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Grass Daddy sounds different. It's Texas Top Stories on the
- 25:43Speaker 1: 10s with Billy the Kid in the Morning.
- 25:45Speaker 5: Only on the new Mix 102.9.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Got a shot of Chris Brown and Usher tickets coming
- 25:50Speaker 1: up next. You might even get on that VIP riser,
- 25:52Speaker 1: which God knows what happens on that riser. You might
- 25:56Speaker 1: make out with Usher. You might make out with Chris Brown.
- 25:58Speaker 1: I don't know. Chris Brown, I mean, who went on
- 26:01Speaker 1: that riser one time? No, no, no, no, no. Oh, yeah.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Chris Brown got on his lap. It was a scene.
- 26:09Speaker 2: I got to look this up online.
- 26:11Speaker 1: Yeah, look it up.
- 26:12Speaker 2: What's going on there?
- 26:13Speaker 1: We might get you there coming up next. Candace, what
- 26:15Speaker 1: is going on?
- 26:15Speaker 6: Yeah, well, more than 3,000 parents and students have signed
- 26:18Speaker 6: a petition to Plano ISD asking them to reconsider changes.
- 26:23Speaker 6: made last week to their halftime performances. So this includes
- 26:26Speaker 6: freshman and JV football games. So the district sent a
- 26:29Speaker 6: letter saying that because of their new 6A conference alignment,
- 26:33Speaker 6: changes would be coming to JV halftimes that were previously
- 26:37Speaker 6: treated much like varsity games. So they say the practice
- 26:40Speaker 6: of halftime performances was a privilege, but it impacts referee retention,
- 26:45Speaker 6: student athletes' physical consistency, and that it's delaying the non-varsity
- 26:49Speaker 6: games much longer. So they're saying that basically you would
- 26:54Speaker 6: have to perform a 14 minute halftime show max. If
- 26:58Speaker 6: you're playing against another team in Plano outside of the district,
- 27:02Speaker 6: you would have to perform after the game. So this
- 27:06Speaker 6: is really upsetting for a lot of people.
- 27:08Speaker 1: So they're going to perform or not.
- 27:10Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 27:10Speaker 6: When, when they play someone outside of Plano ISC, they're
- 27:13Speaker 6: both teams are going to have to perform after the
- 27:15Speaker 6: game and they're only going to get 28 minutes for this.
- 27:17Speaker 1: That's a long time though.
- 27:19Speaker 6: Well, I mean, yeah, but once you get everybody, once
- 27:21Speaker 6: you get everybody out there, do your thing, the other
- 27:23Speaker 6: team does their thing. You get off the field. I mean,
- 27:25Speaker 6: it takes a lot longer than people realize, but I
- 27:27Speaker 6: guess there's a 20 minute UIL role for non-varsity performances.
- 27:32Speaker 2: So parents are like, you.
- 27:33Speaker 6: Know, what is a game without the halftime show? You know,
- 27:36Speaker 6: our kids are performing for no one if they're pregame
- 27:38Speaker 6: or postgame, which.
- 27:39Speaker 1: To make it shorter? We're talking about the band? What
- 27:41Speaker 1: are we talking about?
- 27:42Speaker 6: We're talking about halftime shows with the band and drill team.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Yeah, both. I mean, they should shine, but you've got
- 27:47Speaker 1: to do it shorter.
- 27:48Speaker 6: I mean, how much shorter can you get, though? You know,
- 27:50Speaker 6: eight minutes is not enough time.
- 27:52Speaker 1: That's plenty of time.
- 27:54Speaker 5: Eight minutes?
- 27:55Speaker 6: Yeah. Well, not for the whole thing to get the
- 27:58Speaker 6: people on the.
- 27:58Speaker 2: Field performing and off the field.
- 27:59Speaker 1: Well, no one's staying after the game to watch this.
- 28:01Speaker 2: Well, that's the point that the parents are upset about.
- 28:03Speaker 1: And they work hard, so I want to see them shine.
- 28:05Speaker 6: They do, yeah. I mean, I don't think it's taking
- 28:07Speaker 6: up that much time, but I'll definitely keep you posted
- 28:10Speaker 6: on that petition. And this is exciting news, guys. Bernie
- 28:13Speaker 6: Texas is among the 25 finalists for Hallmark Channel's Merriest
- 28:17Speaker 6: Christmas Town Contest. So the winning town could be the
- 28:20Speaker 6: filming location for a Hallmark movie. Public voting is open
- 28:24Speaker 6: once per day through Friday, and then the judges will
- 28:27Speaker 6: pick the winner. But how fun if we had a
- 28:29Speaker 6: Hallmark movie filmed here in Texas?
- 28:31Speaker 1: Yeah, no, it's great. I love Bernie. It's beautiful. But
- 28:33Speaker 1: why not Grapevine?
- 28:34Speaker 6: I mean, I don't know why Grapevine isn't one of
- 28:36Speaker 6: the finalists or how you submit for that.
- 28:39Speaker 1: How is it not a finalist? Grapevine is the Christmas
- 28:41Speaker 1: capital of Texas.
- 28:42Speaker 5: It is.
- 28:42Speaker 6: Last year was actually the first year I went to
- 28:44Speaker 6: experience the Christmas festival.
- 28:46Speaker 2: Time in Grapevine. Such a good, good vibe.
- 28:50Speaker 1: No, it's beautiful down there. I love Grapevine in general,
- 28:52Speaker 1: but I mean, I mean, Bernie's beautiful, too. Yeah. Come on.
- 28:55Speaker 1: Grapevine and Christmas is something special.
- 28:57Speaker 2: No, it is for sure.
- 28:59Speaker 6: Guys, Miley Cyrus had dropped her last name on social
- 29:02Speaker 6: media with no explanation. She hasn't commented yet on the reason,
- 29:06Speaker 6: but it looks like she's teasing new music. She posted
- 29:10Speaker 6: a picture just of her face saying Miley.
- 29:13Speaker 2: That's literally it. The caption was Miley. Everyone's commenting.
- 29:16Speaker 6: Apple Music says new era incoming. So I can't decide
- 29:20Speaker 6: whether this has to do with the new music or
- 29:23Speaker 6: if she is just going to start going by Miley and,
- 29:25Speaker 6: you know, dissociate with the Cyrus name.
- 29:27Speaker 1: I was going to say she's Probably just fed up
- 29:29Speaker 1: all this drama with her family.
- 29:30Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, it's something, you know, every couple months,
- 29:33Speaker 6: I feel like.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I like i like just my hey i'm cool
- 29:36Speaker 1: new music from miley oh.

- 29:59Speaker 1: it's just, what a mess. Of all times, I've got
- 30:02Speaker 1: to break my hand.
- 30:03Speaker 7: I know.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Can I throw a baseball? It's still going to be
- 30:05Speaker 1: a good time, no matter what. Four-pack up for grabs.
- 30:07Speaker 1: Who's this?
- 30:08Speaker 3: Hi, my name is Tanya.
- 30:09Speaker 1: What's up, Tanya? How are you?
- 30:10Speaker 7: Good.
- 30:11Speaker 1: Guess what? You're calling number nine. Congratulations.
- 30:14Speaker 7: Oh, my gosh.
- 30:16Speaker 1: There you go. You got a four-pack of tickets.
- 30:20Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 30:20Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 30:21Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 30:22Speaker 1: You know what?
- 30:23Speaker 5: I'm driving.
- 30:24Speaker 7: I just dropped my daughter off at school, and I
- 30:25Speaker 7: was like, let me just try.
- 30:27Speaker 1: Well, there you go. You tried, and you made it.
- 30:29Speaker 1: You got a four-pack of tickets. Go see the Rangers.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Where are you from, Tanya? My name is Tanya.
- 30:33Speaker 5: Oh, Tanya.
- 30:33Speaker 6: I'm from camp.
- 30:34Speaker 1: I mess everyone's name up, Tanya. I can't hear her. Sorry.
- 30:36Speaker 1: She's from camp. Camp. Yes. That's where they kept Bonnie
- 30:40Speaker 1: in jail, right? Okay. Yes, yes. Yeah, Bonnie and Clyde.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Who remembers those days? He was alive. No! He drove
- 30:49Speaker 1: their getaway carriage, so. Well, congratulations, Sonya.
- 30:55Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 30:56Speaker 1: Did you know that? Hold on, Tanya.
- 30:58Speaker 6: No.
- 30:58Speaker 1: Yeah, fun fact of the day.
- 31:00Speaker 5: I did not know that.
- 31:01Speaker 1: Yeah, that's where they kept her. See, random knowledge all day,
- 31:04Speaker 1: just dropping it. Here we go.
- 31:06Speaker 6: It's Dirty Little Secret with Billy the Kid in the
- 31:09Speaker 6: Morning on Mix 102.9.
- 31:10Speaker 5: Brought to you by Mint Dentistry.
- 31:13Speaker 1: If you have a secret, you got a confession, 833-787-1029.
- 31:15Speaker 1: Big secrets, little secrets. Bring it on, and you got one.
- 31:17Speaker 1: Let's go. What's up?
- 31:22Speaker 3: Yeah, so I don't tell many people because I can't
- 31:26Speaker 3: tell many people because it's a little unethical.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Oh.
- 31:28Speaker 5: Oh.
- 31:29Speaker 1: She used a big word. Yeah, unethical. Now I'm very interested.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Right?
- 31:35Speaker 3: Okay, so before I officially met my current boyfriend, I
- 31:43Speaker 3: pulled him over and then I tracked him down at work.
- 31:46Speaker 1: What? Wait. Hold on.
- 31:49Speaker 5: What?
- 31:49Speaker 1: What do you mean? You pulled him over. You pulled
- 31:51Speaker 1: him over.
- 31:51Speaker 3: Yeah, like, I'm a cop. Oh.
- 31:55Speaker 5: Oh.
- 31:55Speaker 6: Oh.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Okay. Oh, hot.
- 31:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 31:58Speaker 1: Yeah, police would like this. Yeah, police wouldn't be looking
- 32:01Speaker 1: good at it. So you pulled– okay, tell me the story.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Now I got to know. Yeah, okay.
- 32:05Speaker 3: So first of all, I'll be very clear. I don't
- 32:07Speaker 3: work in the county that I pulled him over. I
- 32:10Speaker 3: worked for a different city when this happened.
- 32:12Speaker 1: Okay.
- 32:13Speaker 3: And I saw this car swerving a little bit, and
- 32:15Speaker 3: it had a brake light out. And I was like–
- 32:17Speaker 3: you know, it was late at night, like 2, 30
- 32:19Speaker 3: or 3 in the morning. And I was like, okay,
- 32:21Speaker 3: like there's a good chance that this person has been drinking.
- 32:24Speaker 3: So I'm just going to pull him over.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Good police work right there.
- 32:27Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 32:28Speaker 3: Obviously right thank you thank you thank you um and
- 32:30Speaker 3: like it was seriously it's like a pretty routine stop
- 32:32Speaker 3: like they pulled up right away i walked up his
- 32:34Speaker 3: window was down and like when i looked like seriously
- 32:36Speaker 3: like i'm looking down like preparing for this and when
- 32:38Speaker 3: i looked up i was like holy this guy is
- 32:41Speaker 3: so hot oh really yeah yeah.
- 32:47Speaker 1: Police officers like notice that kind of stuff i mean
- 32:49Speaker 1: of course they do but like that was you weren't
- 32:52Speaker 1: like hey i gotta make sure he has no weapons
- 32:54Speaker 1: who's in the car you were like damn he's.
- 32:55Speaker 3: Hot okay well like well that was almost going through
- 32:59Speaker 3: my mind when i was walking up you know what
- 33:00Speaker 3: i mean like i'm preparing myself because you like you
- 33:02Speaker 3: never know right you never know but then like as
- 33:04Speaker 3: soon as i like made eye contact with this guy
- 33:06Speaker 3: i was like why what am i here for again
- 33:09Speaker 3: like this is crazy like this guy is so beautiful
- 33:12Speaker 3: um i'm still trying to be professional you know i
- 33:14Speaker 3: mean like i i still i'm not sure like is
- 33:16Speaker 3: this guy a drunk driver like what's going on but
- 33:19Speaker 3: in my head i'm thinking who is this guy like
- 33:22Speaker 3: oh my god like i want to know who this guy.
- 33:24Speaker 6: Is um this is interesting to me it is i
- 33:27Speaker 6: always wonder about cops what they're thinking yeah.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Like you're working but at the same time you're human.
- 33:32Speaker 6: Yeah what have they seen on their computer right exactly.
- 33:35Speaker 2: And like what is a girl to do what is a.
- 33:37Speaker 1: Girl to do so okay so you're sitting there you're
- 33:41Speaker 1: trying to have a conversation assess the scene investigate do
- 33:45Speaker 1: your stop um you know she's a police officer so what.
- 33:48Speaker 3: Happens all right so he talks to me he's not
- 33:52Speaker 3: slurring his words at all like it's pretty obvious that
- 33:54Speaker 3: he's like not intoxicated um i asked him like why
- 33:57Speaker 3: he was swerving he told me that he dropped his
- 33:59Speaker 3: phone and that's why he swerved like you know what
- 34:01Speaker 3: that made sense to me but there was this like
- 34:05Speaker 3: drunk af girl in the passenger seat with him like
- 34:08Speaker 3: completely wasted she was so annoying um i had to
- 34:13Speaker 3: tell her multiple times to stop interrupting us like i
- 34:16Speaker 3: almost wanted to arrest her um but he explained that
- 34:19Speaker 3: he he works at the bar like right down the
- 34:21Speaker 3: street and he had just finished his shift And he
- 34:24Speaker 3: was just giving her a ride home.
- 34:26Speaker 2: And that was like, so sweet.
- 34:28Speaker 3: So I'm like, Oh my God, he's hot. And he's sweet.
- 34:29Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 34:31Speaker 1: Um, wow.
- 34:33Speaker 3: So I let him go with a warning. Like I
- 34:35Speaker 3: didn't even give him a ticket. Like I just, you know,
- 34:37Speaker 3: I gave him a warning about his brake lights. I
- 34:39Speaker 3: told him to get it fixed ASAP. And then I
- 34:41Speaker 3: just let him on his way. But like, I could
- 34:43Speaker 3: not stop thinking about him. And I knew, and I, okay. So,
- 34:47Speaker 3: so I know what car he drives. Right. Um, I
- 34:50Speaker 3: know where he works because he told me.
- 34:53Speaker 1: So I'm like driving.
- 34:54Speaker 3: That's the route I go when I'm like going to
- 34:56Speaker 3: and from like where I actually patrol. And so I
- 34:59Speaker 3: would like look for his car. So then I found
- 35:01Speaker 3: the bar he worked at. And Saturday night I had off.
- 35:05Speaker 3: So I was like, you know what? I'm going to
- 35:07Speaker 3: go shoot my shot. Oh, really?
- 35:09Speaker 1: Wow. Yeah.
- 35:10Speaker 3: Well, you know, I feel like life's too short, right?
- 35:14Speaker 6: You know what I'm saying?
- 35:15Speaker 5: It is. Good for you.
- 35:16Speaker 1: I'm not mad at it.
- 35:17Speaker 3: Yeah. Okay, well, I dressed to the nines because I
- 35:19Speaker 3: know how hot he is. So I was like, he
- 35:21Speaker 3: needs to know that I am also on his level.
- 35:23Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 35:24Speaker 5: Wow.
- 35:25Speaker 1: Wow, the confidence is, I like it.
- 35:27Speaker 6: Well, the cop uniform doesn't exactly show.
- 35:29Speaker 1: All your curves.
- 35:30Speaker 5: Oh, yeah, it does.
- 35:31Speaker 1: It's pretty hot, though. A cop uniform on a female,
- 35:34Speaker 1: a hot patrol officer? Yeah, I didn't see.
- 35:36Speaker 5: Oh, yes.
- 35:37Speaker 1: Okay, boo, calm down. Jeez, he's getting too worked up
- 35:40Speaker 1: over here.
- 35:41Speaker 3: But then the crazy thing was he immediately recognized me
- 35:44Speaker 3: oh he did.
- 35:46Speaker 1: So you walk in he's like oh hey you're the
- 35:48Speaker 1: cop that pulled me over the other night yeah.
- 35:50Speaker 7: And he was like thanks for the warning oh good
- 35:53Speaker 7: but yeah so like we really hit it off and
- 35:55Speaker 7: i got his number and like we're still dating and
- 35:57Speaker 7: it's been almost two years but the crazy thing is
- 36:00Speaker 7: is like he's he still doesn't know.
- 36:01Speaker 3: Like how planned me going into that bar actually was.
- 36:04Speaker 1: Like oh no way That's awesome. Wow. Well, good for
- 36:10Speaker 1: you two then. So he has no idea that you
- 36:13Speaker 1: strategically went in there. dressed all hot with a, with
- 36:17Speaker 1: a plan, right?
- 36:18Speaker 3: Yeah, no, he thought I was meeting friends. That's what
- 36:20Speaker 3: I told him. But like that, that was never going
- 36:22Speaker 3: to happen.
- 36:23Speaker 1: Good for you. I need to know all that.
- 36:24Speaker 6: No.
- 36:25Speaker 1: Well, you know what? What a sweet story. I'm glad
- 36:29Speaker 1: you two have been together for almost two years.
- 36:31Speaker 2: At this point, he wouldn't care.
- 36:32Speaker 1: Oh, he'd laugh at it.
- 36:33Speaker 2: That's a great story.
- 36:34Speaker 1: It'd be a fun story for him to tell his friends.
- 36:37Speaker 1: So I think you should tell him one day.
- 36:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:39Speaker 1: It's not weird at all.
- 36:39Speaker 3: Maybe I will.
- 36:41Speaker 1: Good for you. Well, thank you so much for calling. And, um, Yeah,
- 36:44Speaker 1: have a great day, and I appreciate that confession. Thanks, guys.
- 36:47Speaker 1: Have a good one. You too. What a sweet secret.
- 36:50Speaker 2: I think so.
- 36:51Speaker 1: Although, I will say, though, if this happened the opposite
- 36:53Speaker 1: way around, if it was a man cop and pulled
- 36:57Speaker 1: over a hot girl, we would not be having the
- 36:59Speaker 1: same reaction. No, maybe not. One, and two, why can't
- 37:02Speaker 1: I get pulled over by a hot cop?
- 37:05Speaker 2: You can. Just race everywhere.
- 37:06Speaker 1: Where?
- 37:07Speaker 2: Just go break the.
- 37:08Speaker 1: Law and see what happens. Then I get pulled over
- 37:10Speaker 1: by a big, burly dude. Yeah. That Carrollton cop in
- 37:14Speaker 1: shorts and big man thighs. Why did I have to
- 37:19Speaker 1: get that vision in my head? Thanks a lot, Candace.
- 37:21Speaker 5: All right. It's time for Candace Court.
- 37:25Speaker 1: It gets settled here with Billy the Kid in the Morning.
- 37:28Speaker 1: All rise for the Honorable Judge Candace Lopez. This is
- 37:31Speaker 1: the only court where we do cool stuff, too.
- 37:34Speaker 2: Is it?
- 37:34Speaker 1: Yeah, like what other court do we go? Hey, we
- 37:35Speaker 1: got Chris Brown and Usher tickets coming up at 810.
- 37:37Speaker 2: Yeah, you're right.
- 37:38Speaker 1: Before we get in the session, let's tell everybody about that.
- 37:40Speaker 1: This court, it's different.
- 37:42Speaker 6: It is, yeah.
- 37:43Speaker 1: It's Mix 102.9, Ability Kid. Judge Candace is here. Bela
- 37:46Speaker 1: Poo is here. And if you've got an issue for Candace,
- 37:48Speaker 1: at Candace on air on Instagram, at Candace on air.
- 37:51Speaker 1: Hit her up. All right. Hey, guys, this is kind
- 37:53Speaker 1: of a little but big enough thing to bother me.
- 37:56Speaker 1: So I figured I would write in so you guys
- 37:59Speaker 1: could tell me who's right and who's wrong. That's what
- 38:01Speaker 1: we do. This has happened to me twice in the
- 38:03Speaker 1: last two days at Starbucks. So I'm noticing a pattern here.
- 38:08Speaker 1: When I hold the door open for someone who is
- 38:10Speaker 1: walking up at the same time, they always go ahead
- 38:13Speaker 1: and then get in line in front of me. I'm
- 38:16Speaker 1: always in a hurry when I go get my coffee,
- 38:19Speaker 1: but I make time to hold the door. But then
- 38:22Speaker 1: I end up further back in line. And every time
- 38:26Speaker 1: it's like that person has had a big order or
- 38:29Speaker 1: at least bigger than my one Frappuccino. So when I
- 38:33Speaker 1: hold the door for someone, does that just give them
- 38:36Speaker 1: the right to go get in line? Because I'm sorry,
- 38:39Speaker 1: but that is really, really annoying. Okay, interesting dilemma. So basically,
- 38:44Speaker 1: I'm trying to put this, I'm a visual person. Yeah.
- 38:47Speaker 1: So this person, I don't know if it's a man
- 38:50Speaker 1: or a woman writing in. Not that that really matters. Well, actually,
- 38:52Speaker 1: I do think it matters a little bit. Yeah. In
- 38:55Speaker 1: my old school head. Because what I'm picturing is like, okay, okay,
- 38:58Speaker 1: I'm walking to Starbucks. I'm holding the door. The person
- 39:01Speaker 1: walks through. I don't expect them to let me go
- 39:06Speaker 1: in the line first.
- 39:06Speaker 2: When you hold the door for them.
- 39:08Speaker 1: I don't.
- 39:08Speaker 5: Right.
- 39:09Speaker 1: Do you?
- 39:09Speaker 6: I don't either, but I've been that person that someone
- 39:12Speaker 6: has held the door for, and then I feel awkward
- 39:14Speaker 6: because I'm like, well, you got.
- 39:15Speaker 2: Here first, so I'll tell them. I'll motion like, no,
- 39:18Speaker 2: go ahead. And they usually say, no.
- 39:20Speaker 1: It's fine. Okay.
- 39:22Speaker 6: But it doesn't seem right.
- 39:24Speaker 5: Why not?
- 39:24Speaker 2: I get your point.
- 39:25Speaker 6: If you've held the door for someone, you should be
- 39:28Speaker 6: in line before them because you got there first.
- 39:30Speaker 1: Well, first of all, I'm not getting out of the car.
- 39:33Speaker 1: In my world, this doesn't happen.
- 39:36Speaker 2: You just do the drive-thru.
- 39:37Speaker 1: But this has happened to me before in other situations,
- 39:40Speaker 1: not at Starbucks. Maybe it's happening at Starbucks. And I
- 39:43Speaker 1: just think if I'm going to hold the door for
- 39:44Speaker 1: you and let you go first, I expect you to
- 39:46Speaker 1: go first in everything else that happens. Right.
- 39:48Speaker 2: I've just given up.
- 39:49Speaker 1: Go ahead, because that's awkward as can be. If you
- 39:52Speaker 1: stop and then you turn around and then we have
- 39:53Speaker 1: to engage, please don't do that. I really just don't
- 39:56Speaker 1: want to talk to them. Just get in line. I
- 39:58Speaker 1: don't care what your order is.
- 39:59Speaker 3: Okay.
- 40:00Speaker 1: Just feel free to go. I'm being nice. I hold
- 40:02Speaker 1: the door all the time for everyone.
- 40:03Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, I do too. I can see where
- 40:05Speaker 6: this is frustrating, though, because you know your order's one drink,
- 40:07Speaker 6: and then the person in front of you that you
- 40:09Speaker 6: held the door for could be ordering a whole gang
- 40:11Speaker 6: of things.
- 40:12Speaker 1: It doesn't matter. It's Starbucks. It's chaos anyway. Yeah. So
- 40:15Speaker 1: your one drink might get made before the other drinks anyway, depending.
- 40:18Speaker 1: on what it is. There's 15 baristas back there working
- 40:20Speaker 1: on different things. I just don't look at it that way.
- 40:22Speaker 1: If I'm walking in, it is what it is. And
- 40:25Speaker 1: I will hold the door. I'm the guy who will
- 40:27Speaker 1: awkwardly hold the door. Even if you have to do
- 40:29Speaker 1: the awkward run to hurry up and get to the door. Yeah.
- 40:32Speaker 1: I just like holding the door.
- 40:33Speaker 2: Okay.
- 40:34Speaker 1: So now it also to me depends on, and tell
- 40:36Speaker 1: me if I'm wrong. It depends on in some cases,
- 40:39Speaker 1: if it's a man holding the door and a woman,
- 40:42Speaker 1: Because I feel like the dynamic is a little bit different.
- 40:44Speaker 1: I hold the door for anybody.
- 40:47Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 40:48Speaker 1: Even if it's a man. Yeah.
- 40:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I hold it or prop it. You know what
- 40:52Speaker 2: I mean? There's a difference. I'm holding the door open,
- 40:55Speaker 2: and then I'm going to.
- 40:55Speaker 6: Walk through, and you're going to walk through, or I'm
- 40:57Speaker 6: going to hold the door for you, and you're going
- 40:58Speaker 6: to go ahead of me.
- 40:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 41:00Speaker 1: If it's a guy, I'll prop it. If I see
- 41:02Speaker 1: him coming close, I'll prop it. Yeah. For a girl,
- 41:05Speaker 1: of course, I'll hold the door. When you're saying prop it,
- 41:08Speaker 1: you're not going to let him walk before you? No, uh-uh. Oh, see,
- 41:11Speaker 1: I will. No, uh-uh. Why not?
- 41:13Speaker 4: Especially at Starbucks. That happened to me right here at
- 41:16Speaker 4: this one on Alpha the other day. I propped the
- 41:18Speaker 4: door open, and I went and got in line. Ain't
- 41:20Speaker 4: no guy going to go before me. Now, female, yes,
- 41:24Speaker 4: I'm not that rude.
- 41:26Speaker 1: I'll let a female go. Yeah, I'll let a guy.
- 41:27Speaker 1: I'll hold the door. Wow, that's interesting to me. I'll
- 41:29Speaker 1: definitely hold a guy. Hold a guy? I will definitely
- 41:33Speaker 1: hold a man. I bet you will. No, but I'll
- 41:35Speaker 1: definitely hold a door for a guy. What does it matter?
- 41:38Speaker 6: I don't think I hold the door open and let
- 41:40Speaker 6: someone go ahead of me unless they're like elderly people
- 41:43Speaker 6: or a mom with a stroller.
- 41:45Speaker 1: I let everyone go.
- 41:46Speaker 2: Otherwise, I just prop it open.
- 41:48Speaker 1: I'm like, not like, you know, who's so weird about that?
- 41:50Speaker 1: That's so weird. You will hold the door for a
- 41:52Speaker 1: man and let him go first. No, I'll just prop it.
- 41:54Speaker 1: Like if I see a guy coming.
- 41:56Speaker 4: And I'm leaving, I'll pop the door open like that,
- 41:58Speaker 4: and I'll be like.
- 42:00Speaker 2: Or push it open.
- 42:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll push it open and let him go. That's weird.
- 42:03Speaker 1: Let him catch it. But no, I'm not just going
- 42:06Speaker 1: to hold the door open.
- 42:07Speaker 5: I will.
- 42:07Speaker 1: I'll be like, go ahead, bro. Oh, thanks, man. Appreciate it.
- 42:10Speaker 4: But even here lately, sometimes, because I got scolded a
- 42:12Speaker 4: while back when I held the door open.
- 42:14Speaker 1: For a woman, she was like, I got it. I
- 42:16Speaker 1: can get it. I've never had that happen to me.
- 42:19Speaker 2: No, that's rude.
- 42:20Speaker 1: I can't believe someone. Who says that happens to them
- 42:22Speaker 1: all the time? It's rare, but it has happened to me.
- 42:25Speaker 1: It's probably because you're propping the door open. No. For
- 42:27Speaker 1: the female. I'll hold the door open.
- 42:29Speaker 2: They're supposed to catch you before it closes.
- 42:31Speaker 1: Yeah, and she's like, just get out of here. I
- 42:33Speaker 1: got it.
- 42:35Speaker 2: It's so hard to be human.
- 42:36Speaker 1: So, all right, the question is, when you hold the
- 42:38Speaker 1: door for someone, do they have to stop and let
- 42:40Speaker 1: you go first?
- 42:41Speaker 5: Right.
- 42:41Speaker 1: Or do you just let them go first? I'm curious. Candace,
- 42:44Speaker 1: do we have a verdict?
- 42:44Speaker 2: Yeah, we do.
- 42:45Speaker 6: Unfortunately, sir, I think you're guilty of being a doorstop Dave.
- 42:48Speaker 1: Wow. Because this is just the risk. I'm not a
- 42:51Speaker 1: doorstop Dave.
- 42:52Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just a risky run.
- 42:54Speaker 6: I agree, though, that, you know, they could give you
- 42:56Speaker 6: the option to go ahead of them because that's what
- 42:59Speaker 6: I do because it just feels right.
- 43:00Speaker 1: Just be kind and let the person go in front
- 43:02Speaker 1: of you. Hold the door.
- 43:03Speaker 2: But you can't expect it.
- 43:04Speaker 1: You can't expect it, but, I mean, come on.
- 43:06Speaker 3: Really?
- 43:06Speaker 1: All right, he is guilty of being a?
- 43:08Speaker 2: A doorstop dame.
- 43:10Speaker 1: It's Texas Top Stories on the 10s with Billy the
- 43:12Speaker 1: Kid in the Morning.
- 43:13Speaker 5: Only on the new Mix 102.9.
- 43:15Speaker 1: Got a chance of these Chris Brown and Usher tickets
- 43:18Speaker 1: coming up next. Maybe even get on that VIP riser.
- 43:20Speaker 1: We're hooking that up on the 10s pretty much every
- 43:22Speaker 1: hour all day. Oh, and a four-pack of Rangers tickets
- 43:25Speaker 1: coming up at 8.30. We got that. Candace Lopez, what
- 43:28Speaker 1: is going on?
- 43:29Speaker 6: Well, Tropical Storm Edward is expected to make landfall along
- 43:32Speaker 6: the Texas coast today. This could bring heavy rain and
- 43:35Speaker 6: flash of flooding. The Houston area is expected to get
- 43:38Speaker 6: several inches of rain, possibly as much as nine inches today. Uh,
- 43:42Speaker 6: that does give us a low chance. Some bands of
- 43:44Speaker 6: those rain of rain could reach our Southern areas tomorrow. Uh,
- 43:48Speaker 6: so hopefully we get a little bit of that.
- 43:50Speaker 2: It's not too bad down there.
- 43:51Speaker 1: I'm hoping. So I hope they don't get hit too hard.
- 43:54Speaker 1: Don't get me wrong, but I don't know. Edward, I
- 43:56Speaker 1: always go by the name. I know I probably shouldn't.
- 43:58Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 43:59Speaker 6: Well, we had Dolly a couple of days ago.
- 44:01Speaker 2: She didn't do a whole lot.
- 44:02Speaker 1: It's pretty chill.
- 44:03Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 44:03Speaker 1: Consider everything that's going on. But then you had like Bertha.
- 44:06Speaker 1: Remember like Bertha? Oh, yeah. I was scared of Bertha. Edward,
- 44:11Speaker 1: I'm not really nervous about Edward.
- 44:12Speaker 2: Yeah, he's going to be nice, I think.
- 44:13Speaker 1: Like if you flinch, he's going to go, eh. You
- 44:15Speaker 1: know what I mean? Get out of here, Edward.
- 44:18Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh. Guys, listen to this.
- 44:19Speaker 6: DeSoto football has issued a formal apology for what happened
- 44:23Speaker 6: at their game.
- 44:23Speaker 2: In Florida last weekend.
- 44:25Speaker 6: So a video went viral showing the DeSoto high school
- 44:28Speaker 6: football players refusing to shake hands with the other team
- 44:32Speaker 6: before the game ended. The district's athletic director also posted
- 44:36Speaker 6: a statement saying their captains made a poor decision and
- 44:39Speaker 6: this is not our standard and will be dealt with.
- 44:42Speaker 2: It was awful. And I'm like, if you wanted to
- 44:44Speaker 2: win that.
- 44:45Speaker 6: Game, that was all the motivation the other team needed
- 44:47Speaker 6: at the beginning.
- 44:49Speaker 2: And they got spanked.
- 44:51Speaker 5: 38 to 14.
- 44:51Speaker 1: By a Florida team. You flew all the way to Florida.
- 44:54Speaker 1: This disappointed me so bad because I love DeSoto.
- 44:57Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 44:57Speaker 1: And they have a great team and a great staff.
- 45:00Speaker 1: To set the precedent that you're going to have awful
- 45:03Speaker 1: sportsmanship like that when high school football should be all about... sportsmanship.
- 45:08Speaker 1: And of course it's going to be, yeah, you want
- 45:10Speaker 1: to compete, you want to win, but you refuse to
- 45:12Speaker 1: shake the hand of.
- 45:14Speaker 6: The other team when.
- 45:16Speaker 1: They reach out, they reach out to shake your hand
- 45:20Speaker 1: and you don't move.
- 45:21Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 45:21Speaker 1: I was like, I can't believe I'm rooting against the
- 45:23Speaker 1: Texas team now.
- 45:24Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 45:24Speaker 2: It was a bad look for sure.
- 45:26Speaker 6: I guess they did shake hands after the game, but
- 45:29Speaker 6: good to see them finally address that.
- 45:31Speaker 1: Was there a reason why?
- 45:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't hear one.
- 45:34Speaker 1: See, that's what I was waiting for. Was there a
- 45:36Speaker 1: reason why? Showboating?
- 45:38Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 45:39Speaker 1: I would bench every player on my team.
- 45:41Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 45:41Speaker 1: We would lose the game out of spite. I'm not
- 45:44Speaker 1: going to let my kids go out there and act
- 45:47Speaker 1: like that.
- 45:47Speaker 2: Yeah, it was a really bad look.
- 45:49Speaker 6: I feel bad for some of the other players who
- 45:51Speaker 6: didn't have a chance to be out there to shake hands.
- 45:53Speaker 3: Ridiculous.
- 45:54Speaker 6: With that tone that was said, I'll keep you posted
- 45:57Speaker 6: if there's any updates, though. And soccer star Lionel Messi
- 46:00Speaker 6: announced his retirement from Argentina's national team yesterday. He posted
- 46:04Speaker 6: on Instagram saying the decision was painful, but he believes
- 46:08Speaker 6: the time is right to step away. Of course, Argentina
- 46:11Speaker 6: did win the World Cup in 22 and then, of course,
- 46:14Speaker 6: lost this summer to Spain in the finals. But he
- 46:17Speaker 6: is still going to play with Inter Miami. His contract
- 46:19Speaker 6: there goes through the 2028 season. mls season uh how
- 46:23Speaker 6: sad for those fans you know here in north texas.
- 46:26Speaker 2: And at least i got to see him yeah you know.
- 46:29Speaker 1: I guess i've been saying his name wrong the entire
- 46:31Speaker 1: time i always said lionel i i hear.
- 46:33Speaker 6: It said so many different ways so what did you
- 46:36Speaker 6: just say leonel messi who's that yeah lionel leonel.
- 46:40Speaker 1: You call them leonel.
- 46:41Speaker 2: Yeah come on i've heard it pronounced so many.
- 46:43Speaker 1: Different ways i don't know if it's tomato tomato on
- 46:45Speaker 1: this can't see leonel Yeah. Have you heard that, Pooh?
- 46:49Speaker 1: I say Lionel.
- 46:50Speaker 5: What?
- 46:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I say Lionel.
- 46:53Speaker 4: The only reason I say that is because a buddy
- 46:55Speaker 4: of mine is from Argentina, and he corrected me.
- 46:59Speaker 1: He told me. I used to say Lionel like Lionel Richie.
- 47:02Speaker 1: Me too. I gave him a black name. I was like,
- 47:05Speaker 1: Lionel Messi. That's what I've been saying. I've been messing
- 47:07Speaker 1: it up. And my boy was like, no, it's Lionel. See?
- 47:09Speaker 1: But I don't have the accent to make it sound cool.
- 47:12Speaker 2: Well, I mean, we know who you're talking about.
- 47:14Speaker 1: It's like when I say guacamole... Right. Candice says.
- 47:18Speaker 2: Guacamole.
- 47:19Speaker 1: Guacamole.
- 47:22Speaker 5: Guac.
- 47:22Speaker 2: Give me the guac. Pass the guac.
- 47:24Speaker 1: Guacamole. Guacamole.
- 47:26Speaker 6: Lionel.
- 47:27Speaker 1: Lionel.
- 47:29Speaker 6: Real quick, guys, the Kelly Clarkson show came to an
- 47:32Speaker 6: end yesterday after seven seasons on TV. The show aired
- 47:36Speaker 6: more than 1,200 episodes. Yesterday's final episode featured a Kelly
- 47:40Speaker 6: by request hour where she just sang fan requests. She
- 47:44Speaker 6: did Kelly Oki. She sang Golden, the K-pop Demon Hunter song,
- 47:47Speaker 6: which was beautiful. And then, of course, she had her
- 47:49Speaker 6: kids there. They were talking about their favorite moments on
- 47:52Speaker 6: the show. And she asked her daughter, you know, what
- 47:54Speaker 6: was your favorite moment?
- 47:55Speaker 2: And she said, I don't know. This made me so
- 47:57Speaker 2: emotional because her daughter said, I like.
- 47:58Speaker 6: Watching you shine every single day, Mom.
- 48:02Speaker 5: I know.
- 48:03Speaker 6: Kelly was like, you just opened me on my own show.
- 48:05Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 48:07Speaker 6: But, yeah, she brought him on stage. Congratulations to Kelly Clarkson.
- 48:11Speaker 2: I'm Candace Lopez. Those are your Texas Top Stories.
- 48:13Speaker 5: The new Mix 102.9.
- 48:16Speaker 1: That's a hot take.
- 48:17Speaker 5: Let us know what you think. Here's today's hot take.
- 48:19Speaker 1: Okay, this is a wild one. I just feel like,
- 48:23Speaker 1: you know what, I'm not going to say my opinion.
- 48:25Speaker 1: Did you hear what Italy's thinking about doing? No. So Italy,
- 48:29Speaker 1: not Italy, Texas. I'm talking about real Italy.
- 48:33Speaker 5: Right.
- 48:34Speaker 1: Not that that's not real down there. It gets real
- 48:36Speaker 1: down there, trust me.
- 48:37Speaker 5: For sure.
- 48:37Speaker 1: But Italy is considering outlawing texting in crosswalks.
- 48:42Speaker 6: Oh, wow.
- 48:43Speaker 5: Okay.
- 48:44Speaker 1: Starting in October. Not just texting, meaning you will not
- 48:48Speaker 1: be able to stare at your phone... While crossing the street.
- 48:53Speaker 2: Interesting.
- 48:55Speaker 1: To the point where they're actually going to ticket you
- 48:58Speaker 1: if they catch you doing this. I mean, this is
- 49:00Speaker 1: starting next month.
- 49:02Speaker 4: Okay.
- 49:02Speaker 1: And now they're thinking about doing it in certain places
- 49:04Speaker 1: here in the U.S. And I'm like, do we really
- 49:07Speaker 1: need this rule? Do we really need another law just
- 49:10Speaker 1: about stupidity? So if you're on your phone, for example, Candace,
- 49:15Speaker 1: you're in downtown Dallas and you're crossing the street, right?
- 49:18Speaker 1: And you have your phone on. old school up to
- 49:20Speaker 1: your ear that would be a $ 90 ticket wow in
- 49:24Speaker 1: Italy that's what it would be equivalent to it's a
- 49:26Speaker 1: $ 90 ticket if the cop sees you doing it okay
- 49:29Speaker 1: $ 90 if you have your earbuds in or whatever and
- 49:31Speaker 1: you just cross the street you're listening to music.
- 49:34Speaker 2: You're fine don't worry about it you gotta go hands
- 49:35Speaker 2: free if.
- 49:36Speaker 1: You're hands free just when you're driving there's not an
- 49:39Speaker 1: issue Do we really have to ticket people?
- 49:42Speaker 6: I mean, by the looks of people just distracted all
- 49:45Speaker 6: over the place, why not? You know what I mean?
- 49:47Speaker 2: Pedestrian has the right-of-way, but you're on your phone.
- 49:50Speaker 1: But can't we just implement certain things? I don't want
- 49:54Speaker 1: to call it martial law, but just, you know, I mean,
- 49:58Speaker 1: you've got to survive. Yeah. Don't look at your phone.
- 50:02Speaker 1: I mean, look up. If you're crossing the street not
- 50:05Speaker 1: looking both ways... Do we have to make a law
- 50:07Speaker 1: about that? When's it stop?
- 50:09Speaker 6: Well, because common sense isn't common. Like you should know,
- 50:12Speaker 6: like pay attention when you're crossing the street.
- 50:14Speaker 1: I understand. I understand. But I mean, to make another
- 50:17Speaker 1: law about for just stupid people. Yeah. And I, but
- 50:20Speaker 1: I've seen people do it. You're right. Yeah. I've seen people,
- 50:24Speaker 1: I mean, almost get hit. And it's the same way
- 50:25Speaker 1: when you're in a crowd and somebody's texting while they're
- 50:27Speaker 1: walking right towards you. Yeah. What do you do when
- 50:30Speaker 1: that happens, Candace?
- 50:30Speaker 5: Right.
- 50:31Speaker 6: Someone's texting and walking?
- 50:32Speaker 1: Right towards you and they're not looking up. What do
- 50:35Speaker 1: you do? I know what you do.
- 50:37Speaker 3: What?
- 50:37Speaker 2: What do you think I do?
- 50:38Speaker 5: You move.
- 50:40Speaker 2: Of course I do.
- 50:40Speaker 1: I don't.
- 50:41Speaker 5: Yeah. No.
- 50:42Speaker 1: No.
- 50:42Speaker 6: You just let him hit you?
- 50:43Speaker 1: Just let him hit me.
- 50:44Speaker 6: I mean, I'll just step to the side, like, watch out, zombie,
- 50:47Speaker 6: you know?
- 50:48Speaker 1: And then when they bump me, I go, hey, are
- 50:49Speaker 1: you good? Oh, aggressive.
- 50:52Speaker 4: Like, just the other day when I was down in
- 50:53Speaker 4: Deep Ellum, somebody walked out right there on Malcolm X.
- 50:57Speaker 1: I'm going through the light. You were down in Deep Ellum? Yeah,
- 50:59Speaker 1: I was in the Deep Ellum.
- 51:00Speaker 4: Nice.
- 51:00Speaker 1: Look at you. You're a survivor. Yeah.
- 51:03Speaker 4: Cut through going to East Dallas, and somebody walked right there,
- 51:06Speaker 4: and I'm like, dude.
- 51:07Speaker 1: Oh, they were crossing the street? Yeah, and they weren't
- 51:09Speaker 1: paying attention.
- 51:10Speaker 4: I'm like, dude, if I wasn't paying attention and you
- 51:12Speaker 4: ain't paying attention, I'm hitting you, and I'll be in fault.
- 51:15Speaker 1: And you probably would, too, because of the way you drive. No,
- 51:19Speaker 1: out of all people in this studio right now, hands down. What?
- 51:23Speaker 1: This guy's the most distracted driver. I'm not. I'm a
- 51:26Speaker 1: good driver.
- 51:27Speaker 2: I don't know, Pooh.
- 51:28Speaker 1: Y'all got people DMing me. No.
- 51:30Speaker 4: Telling me, do I need to, hey, you need to
- 51:33Speaker 4: go take your driver's test again.
- 51:34Speaker 5: I'm good.
- 51:35Speaker 1: I think it's a good idea.
- 51:35Speaker 2: It's not that you don't know how to drive. We
- 51:38Speaker 2: know you know how to drive.
- 51:39Speaker 1: But you're the worst because even when we're in the
- 51:42Speaker 1: car and you know I yell at you, you still
- 51:44Speaker 1: text and drive. No, I didn't. You rode with me
- 51:46Speaker 1: the other day. You were looking at your phone. No,
- 51:47Speaker 1: I didn't. Billy, you're going to sit up there and
- 51:50Speaker 1: lie like that on your birthday? You're going to lie
- 51:53Speaker 1: like you weren't? I was on my phone when we
- 51:56Speaker 1: were moving, when the vehicle was moving. No, I was not.
- 51:59Speaker 1: I said it right in the cup holder. I'm going
- 52:01Speaker 1: to take you to church. I'm going to tell you
- 52:03Speaker 1: right now.
- 52:03Speaker 6: Was this when you were looking at the map?
- 52:05Speaker 1: I did look at it, but I said it down.
- 52:07Speaker 6: I mean, to be fair, he was in a vehicle
- 52:09Speaker 6: that has no screen.
- 52:10Speaker 1: It's that old.
- 52:11Speaker 2: There's no nav or anything.
- 52:13Speaker 1: And I said, I set the phone down because you're
- 52:16Speaker 1: the worst.
- 52:16Speaker 4: I don't want to mess up in front of you
- 52:18Speaker 4: because I know you're going to get on me.
- 52:19Speaker 1: And I'm like, because you're not supposed to. You're going
- 52:22Speaker 1: to hurt someone. I understand that. But I wasn't at
- 52:24Speaker 1: your phone. I was not on my phone. Let me
- 52:26Speaker 1: add another day because people DM me all the time
- 52:29Speaker 1: when they see you. Oh, I know. Well, you're driving
- 52:31Speaker 1: a truck with our faces on it. And you're texting
- 52:35Speaker 1: and driving, cutting people off. And I got to remind Pooh,
- 52:38Speaker 1: I'm like, Pooh, you know our faces are on this car.
- 52:41Speaker 6: We're on the back, too, so they're looking right at us.
- 52:44Speaker 1: Yeah, no. And here he is going through deep. I'm
- 52:47Speaker 1: 100 miles an hour. Stop. I stopped doing that. Okay,
- 52:52Speaker 1: let me ask you.
- 52:53Speaker 5: Okay.
- 52:53Speaker 1: Because I feel like this could turn into a Candace Court. Yeah. Candace,
- 52:57Speaker 1: when you were in the car with him and he
- 52:59Speaker 1: drove just last week, did he look at his phone?
- 53:02Speaker 6: He did look at his phone in his lap, but
- 53:04Speaker 6: I think it was just because he doesn't have nav.
- 53:06Speaker 6: There's no nav in that car, so he was looking
- 53:08Speaker 6: down at the map.
- 53:09Speaker 1: That's it. You got to look at it then, get
- 53:12Speaker 1: a holder and look at it where it's in the
- 53:13Speaker 1: window or something. But when I looked at it, we
- 53:15Speaker 1: were at a stoplight. The vehicle was not moving. It's okay, Pooh.
- 53:20Speaker 6: Yeah, we were at a stoplight. The light was turning green,
- 53:24Speaker 6: and he looked down and went back to the road.
- 53:26Speaker 4: Just to make sure, I'm telling you, I know I
- 53:29Speaker 4: don't want to mess up when both of y'all are
- 53:31Speaker 4: in the car. Because I feel like I'm getting great,
- 53:33Speaker 4: especially you. You're like, okay, eyes on the road. Billy
- 53:36Speaker 4: will go, eyes straight, eyes straight.
- 53:40Speaker 1: What are you looking at? I'm like, dude, I'm watching
- 53:42Speaker 1: the signs. I've driven with Pooh where he's hitting the
- 53:44Speaker 1: rumble strips.
- 53:45Speaker 5: Oh!
- 53:45Speaker 3: Oh.
- 53:46Speaker 1: I'm not even kidding you.
- 53:48Speaker 6: Well, be off your phone if you're walking past in
- 53:50Speaker 6: the street in.
- 53:50Speaker 1: Front of Pooh. Yes. I mean, we're driving down 35.
- 53:53Speaker 1: All of a sudden, it's like... And I'm like, what
- 53:57Speaker 1: are you doing? Oh, sorry. I wasn't sleeping. I was
- 54:00Speaker 1: just resting my eyes. Yes. There he is. I mean, Pooh.
- 54:05Speaker 1: If you see Pooh driving crazy, please tag me. You'll
- 54:12Speaker 1: see him in a 98 Tahoe. Is that what it is?
- 54:17Speaker 1: A 98? No, it's 05. It's analog.
- 54:18Speaker 5: It is?
- 54:19Speaker 1: Yeah, it's 05, believe it or not. It's an 05?
- 54:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 54:21Speaker 1: Hey, no way. Yeah, it says it on the inspection thing. Really? Wow.
- 54:25Speaker 1: It passed an inspection? Oh, God. Hey, thank you for
- 54:30Speaker 1: having us on. It's Mix 102.9, Ability Kid, Candice Lopez,
- 54:33Speaker 1: Producer Pooh. I'm just checking my DMs right now and
- 54:36Speaker 1: so many birthday wishes, which I really appreciate. I know
- 54:39Speaker 1: I'm a curmudgeon sometimes about my birthday. You are. And
- 54:42Speaker 1: I just get grumpy about it, and I don't want
- 54:44Speaker 1: the celebrations and stuff.
- 54:45Speaker 2: Don't want balloons, don't want surprises.
- 54:47Speaker 1: And I got balloons and surprises. Yeah, of course. But
- 54:50Speaker 1: either way, I do, like, a lot of love. Thank you.
- 54:52Speaker 1: It does mean really a lot to me, so I
- 54:55Speaker 1: appreciate it. First Watch, I love First Watch.
- 54:58Speaker 6: So good.
- 54:58Speaker 1: They just brought up a bunch of breakfast for me,
- 55:00Speaker 1: which is so nice. Thank you to Kelby at First Watch.
- 55:04Speaker 1: Their bacon.
- 55:05Speaker 2: The million dollar bacon.
- 55:07Speaker 1: First Watch, one of my favorite places for breakfast. They
- 55:11Speaker 1: brought pumpkin spice pancakes up.
- 55:13Speaker 6: Yeah, I've been watching those on the new fall menu.
- 55:15Speaker 6: It's finally out.
- 55:18Speaker 1: Go eat. I'm going to go eat in a second.
- 55:20Speaker 1: I'm so happy. What's up with you, Candace? You good?
- 55:22Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm real good. Did you want me to recap
- 55:24Speaker 6: the celebrity birthday list or do you want.
- 55:26Speaker 1: To open it up?
- 55:27Speaker 2: For your birthday present.
- 55:28Speaker 1: She knows I hate celebrity birthdays. Oh, thank you. Oh,
- 55:31Speaker 1: did Enzo do this bag?
- 55:32Speaker 6: Yeah, he decorated the bag for you.
- 55:34Speaker 1: Oh, I love the bag more than anything.
- 55:36Speaker 3: It is, eh?
- 55:37Speaker 1: Oh, you got me a... Oh, thank you! You're welcome. Candace,
- 55:40Speaker 1: now this is perfect. She bought me a book. It says,
- 55:42Speaker 1: Cocktails for the Apocalypse.
- 55:44Speaker 5: Ha!
- 55:45Speaker 1: Oh, I didn't even know that existed. Yeah.
- 55:48Speaker 6: Well, you always talk about the apocalypse and what the
- 55:50Speaker 6: plans are.
- 55:51Speaker 1: So the apocalypse. Now I have a good drink for it. Yeah.
- 55:55Speaker 2: Zombies come and a can of beans.
- 55:58Speaker 1: Thank you. Ranch style beans with jalapenos. My favorite.
- 56:01Speaker 3: Yeah, that's it.
- 56:02Speaker 6: You're welcome.
- 56:03Speaker 1: And thank you for the bag. I like the bag.
- 56:04Speaker 1: Enzo did some art on it.
- 56:06Speaker 2: Yeah, he did.
- 56:06Speaker 1: It's really good. You know what? I'm going to read
- 56:08Speaker 1: this book while I'm in the pool today.
- 56:09Speaker 2: Oh, perfect.
- 56:10Speaker 1: Does that work?
- 56:11Speaker 2: Tanning your booty?
- 56:12Speaker 1: Oh, don't. That was another thing I'm getting a lot
- 56:15Speaker 1: of DMs about. Oh, yeah? See, I get too comfortable
- 56:18Speaker 1: on the air sometimes, and I talk about my personal
- 56:20Speaker 1: life sometimes. And I don't know why earlier. And I
- 56:23Speaker 1: guess I'm the only one. Am I the only one
- 56:24Speaker 1: who does this?
- 56:25Speaker 2: I don't think you are.
- 56:27Speaker 1: I pull down my shorts and I tan my butt.
- 56:30Speaker 1: But why? For about 10 minutes. And I'm just being honest.
- 56:33Speaker 1: Because I walked by the mirror in the bathroom the
- 56:35Speaker 1: other day, and I'm like, this is hideous. It is
- 56:39Speaker 1: so white. Yeah. And so flat.
- 56:42Speaker 2: I mean, whose butt isn't white? Like, super white?
- 56:45Speaker 5: Mine.
- 56:45Speaker 1: Actually. Actually, Pooh. I don't know.
- 56:48Speaker 2: I haven't seen it.
- 56:49Speaker 1: Yeah, you have.
- 56:50Speaker 2: No, I haven't.
- 56:51Speaker 1: You haven't seen Pooh's butt?
- 56:52Speaker 5: Yes, you're right.
- 56:53Speaker 1: Everyone's seen Pooh's butt.
- 56:54Speaker 2: When he got the hot dog tattoo.
- 56:55Speaker 1: He got a hot dog tattoo, and we all saw
- 56:56Speaker 1: his butt. And actually, his butt's whiter than mine.
- 56:58Speaker 6: That was the second time I saw his butt, though.
- 57:00Speaker 6: Because remember when he wore that thong outfit?
- 57:03Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 57:04Speaker 2: For somebody else's birthday?
- 57:05Speaker 1: He wore a thong?
- 57:06Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah.
- 57:07Speaker 1: Are you sure this.
- 57:08Speaker 2: Wasn't in private?
- 57:08Speaker 1: Around the office.
- 57:09Speaker 2: No, absolutely not.
- 57:10Speaker 1: He wore a thong in the office?
- 57:12Speaker 3: Yes, yes.
- 57:13Speaker 4: What was that for? No, that was for Billy.
- 57:15Speaker 1: That was three years ago. Remember when I came in
- 57:18Speaker 1: the studio? Oh, that's right.
- 57:19Speaker 2: It was your birthday.
- 57:21Speaker 1: Why would you ever do that? I was trying to
- 57:23Speaker 1: be funny, and I came in. Can we go back
- 57:25Speaker 1: three years ago and fire you? Yeah. That's awful. Why
- 57:30Speaker 1: would you ever do that? See, everything I hate on
- 57:33Speaker 1: my birthday. I said, I got you a stripper, and
- 57:35Speaker 1: you were like, you what? And I came in, and
- 57:37Speaker 1: I was like, me. Oh, that was awful. I do
- 57:40Speaker 1: remember that. Oh, wait, hold on. Victor's on the phone. Victor,
- 57:44Speaker 1: what's up, Victor? Hey, man. Happy birthday. Hey, thank you, Victor.
- 57:48Speaker 1: I appreciate that, man. It feels good being 40 again. Yeah.
- 57:52Speaker 4: You know, I appreciate you making my day going in
- 57:54Speaker 4: the morning.
- 57:56Speaker 1: You know, with some of the stories, they're great. Especially
- 57:58Speaker 1: the one right now where you tanned your butt. Sorry
- 58:05Speaker 1: I gave you that visual this morning.
- 58:07Speaker 3: Yeah, so now I'm envisioning that you look like a baboon.
- 58:13Speaker 1: I mean, I'm not going to lie. You're not wrong.
- 58:16Speaker 1: And my buns did get a little toasty.
- 58:18Speaker 2: Yeah, you got to use sunscreen on that.
- 58:19Speaker 1: No, I'm not pooing my sunburn. No, I don't want
- 58:21Speaker 1: to see that. Oh, never mind.
