- 0:45Speaker 6: program is brought to you by Superior Air Repair. A
- 0:50Speaker 6: lot of college hoop games on the schedule this evening.
- 0:54Speaker 6: Aggie's are in one of those eight o'clock they're at Auburn.
- 1:03Speaker 6: Auburn's coming off blowing a lead late at Georgia. They
- 1:11Speaker 6: are thirty fifth in the net, AM fifty fifth in
- 1:18Speaker 6: the net. So that is one of many, and let's
- 1:24Speaker 6: go over some of the ones that we've got going.
- 1:28Speaker 6: First of all, in the SEC tonight South Carolina at LSU.
- 1:33Speaker 6: These are six o'clock games Georgia and Florida. Then the
- 1:37Speaker 6: late games besides A and m Auburn is Texas at Tennessee.
- 1:43Speaker 6: Elsewhere Michigan, Penn State, the Wolverine's unbeaten so far, Duke
- 1:51Speaker 6: and Louisville. Let's see UCF at Oklahoma State, Texas, Tech,
- 2:01Speaker 6: and Houston. That game's on FS one at eight o'clock,
- 2:06Speaker 6: TCU and Kansas that game on ESPN, also at eight o'clock.
- 2:17Speaker 6: LSU's administration is allowing offensive coordinator Charlie Weiss and running
- 2:23Speaker 6: backs coach Kevin Smith to continue coaching the number six
- 2:27Speaker 6: Rebels in its CFP semi final against Miami Thursday night.
- 2:33Speaker 6: Sources said Weiss and Smith, who say they are following
- 2:39Speaker 6: Lane Kiffin. LSU flew to Baton Rouge today for recruiting
- 2:46Speaker 6: visits and then returned to Oxford. The Rebels scheduled to
- 2:51Speaker 6: fly to Scottsdale, Arizona, Tuesday for their Thursday night game.
- 2:59Speaker 6: Ole Miss ad Keith Carter says, our main focus is
- 3:02Speaker 6: winning the game. Charlie has been awesome, juggling too high
- 3:05Speaker 6: profile jobs. He's been incredible. We have no complaints. And
- 3:11Speaker 6: then of course Friday night Oregon and Indiana, a big
- 3:17Speaker 6: get for new Florida coach John someraw he is keeping
- 3:23Speaker 6: running back Jaden Baugh at Florida BA rushed for eleven
- 3:31Speaker 6: and seventy yards eight tds, thirty three catches for two
- 3:34Speaker 6: hundred and ten yards. He had six hundred and seventy
- 3:40Speaker 6: three yards as a freshman and a guy being mentioned
- 3:44Speaker 6: on some of the early Heisman lists. We know how
- 3:47Speaker 6: that worked out for some people a year ago, but hey,
- 3:51Speaker 6: still there. And then there's this money is definitely thicker
- 3:59Speaker 6: than blood Texas red shirt freshman wide receiver Parker Livingston,
- 4:04Speaker 6: he happens to be Arch Manning's roommate, is going to
- 4:12Speaker 6: play north of the Red River for Oklahoma. Kurt Bowles,
- 4:16Speaker 6: our friend says, pretty healthy contract, eight hundred thousand dollars.
- 4:24Speaker 6: He wanted similar money from the Longhorns and was offered
- 4:27Speaker 6: only half of that. He had also visited Indiana was
- 4:35Speaker 6: offered similar money with the Hoosers. The sixty first prospect
- 4:40Speaker 6: in the transfer portal started seven of the thirteen games,
- 4:45Speaker 6: twenty nine catches, five hundred and sixteen yards, six touchdowns,
- 4:49Speaker 6: And if you want to know what sport is, King
- 4:54Speaker 6: Sportico says of the one hundred telecasts period. Everything on
- 5:01Speaker 6: TV this last year only the Debate, which ranked eighth.
- 5:13Speaker 6: World Series game ranked twenty fifth, a Thanksgiving Day Parade
- 5:20Speaker 6: ranked thirtieth, boxing ranked seventy if I don't know what
- 5:29Speaker 6: match that was, Academy Awards ranked seventy second, college basketball
- 5:37Speaker 6: ranked eighty seventh, Kentucky Derby ranked ninety sixth, and everything
- 5:49Speaker 6: else on the list is either NFL or college football.
- 6:00Speaker 6: I will tell you have to get down to fifty
- 6:06Speaker 6: second on the list to get to a college football game.
- 6:10Speaker 6: The others NFL college football at fifty two, fifty nine,
- 6:16Speaker 6: sixty four, seventy eight, eighty four, eighty five, ninety three
- 6:22Speaker 6: ranked program, and I'm assuming it's a Final four game
- 6:26Speaker 6: in college basketball was eighty seventh, and another World Series
- 6:30Speaker 6: game was ninety seven. But that'll just show you the
- 6:35Speaker 6: domination of the multi billion dollar organization that is the NFL.
- 6:43Speaker 6: All right, we're gonna talk college football, Ole Miss Miami
- 6:47Speaker 6: and the Fiesta Bowl. Let's hear from Mario Christobal, the
- 6:52Speaker 6: Canes head coach, say.
- 6:55Speaker 7: From that, Yeah, appreciate you having us and certainly want
- 6:59Speaker 7: to thank for us to all the fans for showing
- 7:01Speaker 7: up so strong like they did this past week in Dallas,
- 7:06Speaker 7: and really proud of our team for showing resiliency, toughness,
- 7:12Speaker 7: and very enthused, very excited to be able to attack
- 7:17Speaker 7: this next opportunity.
- 7:18Speaker 8: So many things on tape that we can get better at.
- 7:21Speaker 7: You know, there's areas where we have improved, but we're
- 7:24Speaker 7: still a work in progress and just looking forward to
- 7:26Speaker 7: our next opportunity. And with that being the sad questions,
- 7:29Speaker 7: Please guys, before.
- 7:31Speaker 9: You hop in, if you can, please make sure you
- 7:32Speaker 9: stay in your name and affiliation before asking coach your question.
- 7:35Speaker 10: But go ahead, Gary Furman, Keithsport dot com. Mario, I'm
- 7:39Speaker 10: sure you're aware of the coaching situation at Old Miss,
- 7:42Speaker 10: with almost their entire offensive staff going to LSU and
- 7:46Speaker 10: work in the portal instead of staying there for the game.
- 7:49Speaker 8: And Charlie Weis did just go back today.
- 7:51Speaker 10: But does that have any impact on what you do
- 7:53Speaker 10: and your preparations for.
- 7:55Speaker 11: The game or do you just basically ignore that it
- 7:58Speaker 11: has your impact on our preparation. And I think it'd
- 8:01Speaker 11: be safe to say that it doesn't impact their preparation
- 8:05Speaker 11: as well. They're a great football team with great coaches
- 8:07Speaker 11: that are in place and they're preparing to.
- 8:09Speaker 8: Us as hard for this as they have for anything.
- 8:12Speaker 9: Mario Charman Pearson, I'm Heeraldo you mentioned the fans for
- 8:15Speaker 9: the Alonna the last time we got from Smorlands or
- 8:19Speaker 9: last help years with ce jam Johnson to see Andrew
- 8:21Speaker 9: Johnson to see.
- 8:22Speaker 8: If i's the other guys. What does that mean for
- 8:24Speaker 8: the guys here?
- 8:25Speaker 9: And i'msure they appreciate seeing a cat past paying attention
- 8:29Speaker 9: and supporting the president.
- 8:31Speaker 8: You try to make us wrong.
- 8:32Speaker 7: Well, it's always great to see, you know, and it's
- 8:34Speaker 7: great to see such such high profile names, such high
- 8:39Speaker 7: caliber former players and coaches. And it's also great to
- 8:42Speaker 7: see some of the guys that maybe weren't you know,
- 8:45Speaker 7: those high profile guys that have been haven't been around
- 8:48Speaker 7: in a long time, but were you know, they were.
- 8:50Speaker 8: Hurricanes just as well.
- 8:52Speaker 7: So I think just the entirety of the Hurricane Miami
- 8:55Speaker 7: Hurricane family, you know, from years past, showing up and
- 8:59Speaker 7: supporting our team and you know, getting back involved with
- 9:03Speaker 7: the university is absolutely awesome, and it also gives our
- 9:05Speaker 7: players a chance to experience that brotherhood that we have
- 9:09Speaker 7: always spoken about so strongly of even late with inside
- 9:13Speaker 7: the with their pushing situation being what.
- 9:16Speaker 11: It is, it seems like that team's using it as fuel,
- 9:20Speaker 11: kind of as motivation.
- 9:21Speaker 7: Do you feel like a ship on the shoulders kind
- 9:24Speaker 7: of showing up on film that you've watched them play
- 9:26Speaker 7: here in recently, Well, i'll tell you what, watching you
- 9:29Speaker 7: know all their games, obviously that they're an excellent football team.
- 9:32Speaker 7: They've got speed, power, explosiveness across the field. They certainly
- 9:36Speaker 7: play with a tremendous edge this past week against Georgia
- 9:40Speaker 7: and showed up big in the big moments. And you know,
- 9:44Speaker 7: again they're I think you know the fact that they
- 9:47Speaker 7: have their play callers in place, which is you know,
- 9:52Speaker 7: it would be the most important part. I don't think
- 9:54Speaker 7: there's any effect on what they do schematically, and I
- 9:57Speaker 7: think that anything that you know, event likes what they
- 10:00Speaker 7: went through. I think things like that always galvanized people.
- 10:04Speaker 8: So again, just really impressed with them.
- 10:06Speaker 7: It's certainly the best team that we have faced that
- 10:09Speaker 7: we will face, I should.
- 10:10Speaker 8: Say this year, and looking forward to that opportunity.
- 10:15Speaker 9: Tramps you guys fatally cors here session.
- 10:18Speaker 8: But what claim that makes him making different?
- 10:21Speaker 7: Then so should face Yeah, we have faced some really
- 10:24Speaker 7: good ones throughout the course of the year, especially the
- 10:26Speaker 7: last couple of weeks, and you know, watching him on film,
- 10:30Speaker 7: he's he's a different level.
- 10:31Speaker 8: I mean, he can do.
- 10:32Speaker 7: It all and he has excelled in every aspect of
- 10:35Speaker 7: the game. He certainly brings a ton of energy to
- 10:38Speaker 7: their team. There's really he's a limitless football player. And
- 10:43Speaker 7: certainly you could see on the sideline and watching some
- 10:46Speaker 7: of the stuff on TV, his leadership skills and the
- 10:49Speaker 7: way people gravitate to him. He's a tremendous impact on
- 10:51Speaker 7: the program and plenty of respect for him.
- 10:54Speaker 11: You have a few the.
- 10:54Speaker 3: Football coach, the NASTCU game, we've had a team thing
- 10:58Speaker 3: to be more expressive.
- 11:00Speaker 8: Have you seen people of those from your interview you're
- 11:02Speaker 8: talking and seeing different things. Well, let us change. The
- 11:04Speaker 8: kid has showed us. Let's change your program. Will lie,
- 11:08Speaker 8: you know, I don't think anything really.
- 11:09Speaker 7: I think that media sometimes is a little bit more intrusive,
- 11:14Speaker 7: so they get a little bit more behind the scenes,
- 11:16Speaker 7: and sometimes maybe a narrative is built that is not exactly,
- 11:22Speaker 7: you know, completely accurate. And I think when you win
- 11:27Speaker 7: and have success, then there begins, you know.
- 11:31Speaker 8: The next narrative of why this and that.
- 11:33Speaker 7: But we say true to our core beliefs, our principles,
- 11:36Speaker 7: and our values. I think our team has year has
- 11:38Speaker 7: gone on, has certainly played with more confidence, and I
- 11:41Speaker 7: think it the confidence that the coaches having, the players.
- 11:44Speaker 8: And the vice versa has shown up more and more
- 11:46Speaker 8: on the field.
- 11:47Speaker 7: And I think when that happens, then you know you
- 11:51Speaker 7: you know, you feel energy.
- 11:53Speaker 8: But really we haven't straight from our original blueprint. No
- 11:57Speaker 8: more of any updates on the Tom Brown and OJ
- 12:00Speaker 8: in that movie.
- 12:01Speaker 7: Progressing steadily, I would say, day to day, and we'll
- 12:05Speaker 7: have a better idea in the next two.
- 12:06Speaker 8: Or three days.
- 12:07Speaker 7: But we feel like they're progressing at a at a
- 12:10Speaker 7: pretty good rate. Christmas And said, you said the run
- 12:14Speaker 7: defense has been a pretty good all of your good
- 12:16Speaker 7: since that Virginia Tech game gave from your last three
- 12:20Speaker 7: games has stood out to you.
- 12:21Speaker 8: How you guys have played defending the run and how
- 12:24Speaker 8: big is that been in your success?
- 12:25Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean we've done a good job this entire
- 12:30Speaker 7: year for the most part. And I think people will
- 12:33Speaker 7: always try to find an extra hat, an angle right,
- 12:36Speaker 7: try to find leverage runs, and I think we.
- 12:40Speaker 8: Adjust well to that as well.
- 12:42Speaker 7: So I think their question was our success where people
- 12:46Speaker 7: having success against them, your.
- 12:47Speaker 9: Success run defense, because your last three games, I got.
- 12:50Speaker 8: You, I gotcha, well, Virginia Tech. Credit to them.
- 12:54Speaker 7: I mean they they executed some stuff really really well,
- 12:58Speaker 7: and you.
- 12:59Speaker 8: Know we we adjusted, but you know, they also played
- 13:02Speaker 8: really really hard. We played hard.
- 13:04Speaker 7: They found some they found some success. But I think
- 13:06Speaker 7: again coach had the men, the staff. It's not just
- 13:09Speaker 7: a front seven. It's also the perimeter, guys.
- 13:11Speaker 8: You know, I think.
- 13:12Speaker 7: The the physicality and that the dog mentality of our
- 13:16Speaker 7: secondary their willingness to run the alley, you know, fit
- 13:20Speaker 7: certain gaps in the run game, be the extra hat
- 13:23Speaker 7: and sometimes to splat out makeup play in space. I
- 13:26Speaker 7: just think our technique, our willingness has gotten better, and
- 13:30Speaker 7: just the understanding of the defense and where your help
- 13:33Speaker 7: is allows you to leverage the ball. And I think
- 13:35Speaker 7: those things are showing up a bunch on table.
- 13:38Speaker 9: The four fumbles the last few games lost announced you, guys.
- 13:43Speaker 7: For certainly it's a it's it's not it's one of
- 13:47Speaker 7: the non right spots.
- 13:48Speaker 8: We you know, we take a lot of pride in that.
- 13:51Speaker 7: And I think the entire year, we lose one fumble
- 13:54Speaker 7: the entire season, and I think we had to lost one,
- 13:57Speaker 7: and we've doubled that in the last two games, which
- 14:01Speaker 7: is unacceptable. We certainly have to coach a lot better
- 14:04Speaker 7: and demand it more of our players. And when you
- 14:07Speaker 7: are playing these caliber games, the collisions, the speed, the physicality,
- 14:12Speaker 7: it does there's an uptick in there, so you have
- 14:14Speaker 7: to be cautious of that because bodies are going to
- 14:18Speaker 7: fly around, the impact is going to be greater, and
- 14:20Speaker 7: therefore ball security, which is always at a premium, has
- 14:25Speaker 7: to be.
- 14:26Speaker 8: Emphasized and accomplished this at a higher level.
- 14:29Speaker 7: And you know, we it's one of the biggest and
- 14:33Speaker 7: I'd say the biggest focal points of us this week
- 14:36Speaker 7: have been on the camera that we have in Chance
- 14:38Speaker 7: and how do.
- 14:39Speaker 8: You keep you guys in the key? A lot of
- 14:41Speaker 8: guys motivated.
- 14:42Speaker 9: But at the same time, you mentioned the dog in
- 14:44Speaker 9: Chaln some kind of last year to look.
- 14:45Speaker 8: At you make sure guys stay focused. Yeah, no, it's
- 14:49Speaker 8: a good question.
- 14:50Speaker 7: I mean, I think we proved earlier in the year
- 14:53Speaker 7: that we didn't handle success very well after the first
- 14:56Speaker 7: four or five games, and it's a lesson that you
- 14:58Speaker 7: never ever want to learn twice. Right right now at
- 15:02Speaker 7: this time of year, really any time praise and over
- 15:05Speaker 7: praises poisonous man.
- 15:07Speaker 8: It is absolutely the worst thing you can take in
- 15:11Speaker 8: and listen to.
- 15:12Speaker 7: And I think we've done a good job of making
- 15:15Speaker 7: sure that at the forefront of everything we do is
- 15:18Speaker 7: just get everything and everyone out.
- 15:21Speaker 8: Of the way, right because you really aren't really distractions.
- 15:25Speaker 8: You create your own interstep and distractions.
- 15:27Speaker 7: And I think the mentality the DNA of our guys
- 15:30Speaker 7: is it gets stronger and better as our older guys
- 15:33Speaker 7: realize that you know, this is it's their time, it's
- 15:36Speaker 7: their legacy, and that they have to take control of
- 15:39Speaker 7: the locker room and how we think and how we
- 15:40Speaker 7: go about things. I think all that has improved in
- 15:43Speaker 7: a dramatic fashion. I think it's strong. We hammer it
- 15:49Speaker 7: every single day, and you know, so far we feel
- 15:53Speaker 7: like we're getting a pretty good result. But you kind
- 15:55Speaker 7: of you can get on it and you stay on it.
- 15:57Speaker 7: I think if you come off at for seconds, you're
- 15:59Speaker 7: going to have you know, gonna even window open and
- 16:01Speaker 7: we're gonna let.
- 16:01Speaker 8: Our rat in.
- 16:02Speaker 5: You know, you've essentially played play football since that SMU game.
- 16:09Speaker 7: I'm Curi's just your thoughts on what's impressed you about
- 16:12Speaker 7: Lake Carson Beck has played in hand Old Dames and
- 16:14Speaker 7: managed the offense down stretch.
- 16:16Speaker 8: At that time.
- 16:17Speaker 7: Well, he's off point, you know, I mean schematically, he
- 16:21Speaker 7: knows exactly where to go with the ball, where not
- 16:23Speaker 7: to go with it. He's put us in great protections
- 16:25Speaker 7: in the running game. He has put us in advantage runs.
- 16:29Speaker 7: He knows where he's not protected, and he secured the football.
- 16:32Speaker 7: Ball security has been fantastic for the most part. So,
- 16:36Speaker 7: I mean, that's such a big part of like what
- 16:38Speaker 7: we do right where such we've been efficient when we've
- 16:41Speaker 7: been good, I should say we've been efficient on offense.
- 16:43Speaker 8: And it all starts with the quarterback.
- 16:45Speaker 7: But again that's a it's like a highly committed, high
- 16:49Speaker 7: work ethic guy that people gravitate towards him and he
- 16:54Speaker 7: kind of him along with CC and as Mark Fletcher, CJ.
- 16:58Speaker 7: Daniels killing they set the tunnel. Alex Pulman, you know,
- 17:01Speaker 7: those guys are like the dudes. And together with Carson,
- 17:04Speaker 7: I just think, you know, his level of play complemented by.
- 17:08Speaker 8: All those guys mentioned it.
- 17:10Speaker 7: It has generated some really strong offensive performances and there's
- 17:14Speaker 7: lots correct on film.
- 17:16Speaker 8: You know, we feel like we we need to be.
- 17:18Speaker 7: And have to be a whole lot better here going
- 17:21Speaker 7: into this game.
- 17:22Speaker 9: Mario mary Brown plays.
- 17:24Speaker 8: You watch the game against just to see him, how.
- 17:29Speaker 9: The impact deal that Matt nald Rod and just his
- 17:32Speaker 9: mentality going into it, just considering a lot like I
- 17:35Speaker 9: just was in just how one of those mens you guys.
- 17:39Speaker 8: Yeah, well, I mean it was a low play cow game.
- 17:41Speaker 7: We had forty nine offensive plays and that's slower the
- 17:43Speaker 7: most NFL games. And he's always been a big part
- 17:47Speaker 7: of the equation. He's proven that throughout.
- 17:48Speaker 8: The course of the year. And Marty is made of
- 17:52Speaker 8: the right stuff.
- 17:53Speaker 7: He understands what team play and being a great teammate's
- 17:57Speaker 7: all about.
- 17:57Speaker 8: So there's no flinch in him. There's no hesitation or
- 18:00Speaker 8: reservation about him.
- 18:02Speaker 7: Every time he's been called upon, his answer the bell
- 18:04Speaker 7: because he knows he's a big part of this and
- 18:07Speaker 7: he knew this was his kind of a game too.
- 18:08Speaker 7: This was one of those physical, knock them, sock them
- 18:11Speaker 7: around type of games, right the rock fights like we
- 18:14Speaker 7: talked about.
- 18:14Speaker 8: And he was prepared. He was prepared. When he got
- 18:17Speaker 8: his opportunity. I don't think he show up. He showed
- 18:20Speaker 8: up strong, and it was a difference maker in the
- 18:22Speaker 8: game book.
- 18:22Speaker 7: With his catch, with his block and of course the
- 18:24Speaker 7: way he finished those runs.
- 18:26Speaker 8: Got ready of course his Prussian class class. The release
- 18:32Speaker 8: of the Signs in December, community be a partners runs.
- 18:35Speaker 9: Can you tell me is the value of those resolutely
- 18:38Speaker 9: young guys and just anything you can.
- 18:39Speaker 8: Share about what you've seen from sure that group you
- 18:41Speaker 8: know s time. Yeah, we we feel like we hit
- 18:45Speaker 8: we hit home runs with these guys. And and I'll
- 18:46Speaker 8: tell you why.
- 18:47Speaker 7: It's like when you get dropped off, you know what,
- 18:50Speaker 7: when they got dropped off the middle of December, and
- 18:52Speaker 7: I mean you're out there and you're you're practicing with
- 18:55Speaker 7: that level of a football team, and it's everything's like go,
- 18:58Speaker 7: go go, there's no time to explain, and hey, you
- 19:00Speaker 7: have to do this. You have to jump in on
- 19:02Speaker 7: scout team there, you got to run this route, you
- 19:03Speaker 7: got to cover this guy. It's not the easiest thing
- 19:06Speaker 7: in the world. And good reason. I think, I believe
- 19:11Speaker 7: we believe that why our defense had success this past
- 19:13Speaker 7: week is because we had guys like j. J. Dunagan
- 19:17Speaker 7: and camp Portis and Samaro Wingo, you know, simulating their
- 19:21Speaker 7: offense wearing number four, wearing number seventeen or number one,
- 19:25Speaker 7: and those guys are fast. These are these young guys
- 19:27Speaker 7: are all twenty one plus mile power guys. So the
- 19:30Speaker 7: fact that they get to experience what we do and
- 19:34Speaker 7: how we do it, even though it's later in the season,
- 19:36Speaker 7: they get to be around some of these older, really
- 19:39Speaker 7: good leader guys is.
- 19:41Speaker 8: Phenomenal for them.
- 19:42Speaker 7: It's invaluable guys like Jackson Campbell, and they get to
- 19:45Speaker 7: jump in on how we game plan, how we prepare guys,
- 19:48Speaker 7: technique fundamentals, you know, JJ Sparks. You know, we've got
- 19:51Speaker 7: another one, a couple of other guys coming in today
- 19:55Speaker 7: as well.
- 19:55Speaker 8: You know, Mallory's in here now, So what else we have?
- 20:01Speaker 8: What's that is? We got portis in.
- 20:03Speaker 7: Here, Jennings Party just got there as well, So you know,
- 20:07Speaker 7: wish we get all of them in here. But it's
- 20:09Speaker 7: certainly it's a it's an invaluable piece from a development standpoint,
- 20:13Speaker 7: and at this time of the year the way college
- 20:14Speaker 7: football on the calendar is set up, which you know
- 20:17Speaker 7: we all have issues with it, they provide like the
- 20:20Speaker 7: right type of body types to help us prepare.
- 20:22Speaker 8: For these games.
- 20:23Speaker 9: Talking about the calendar, just balancings, just how what is
- 20:29Speaker 9: that balancing there for you.
- 20:30Speaker 8: To go your staff.
- 20:32Speaker 7: I mean, there's really the balancing actor is honestly and transparency.
- 20:36Speaker 8: You know, the calendar is not you know, it's not ideal, right, so.
- 20:41Speaker 7: Excuse me, but you do what's best for the team,
- 20:46Speaker 7: and you always do what's best for the players, and
- 20:48Speaker 7: every player has a different situation. I think we've always
- 20:52Speaker 7: done the right thing by people when taking the high road.
- 20:54Speaker 7: I mean, some guys got to get in the portal
- 20:57Speaker 7: because you know, they're a stick at that particular position
- 21:01Speaker 7: and playing time is going to be tough to come around.
- 21:03Speaker 7: And other guys, you know, we got to have them
- 21:07Speaker 7: go to a place where it more fits their stile,
- 21:10Speaker 7: you know.
- 21:10Speaker 8: And we have a certain culture that we adhere to
- 21:12Speaker 8: and we.
- 21:12Speaker 7: Don't straight from that and and that's okay, you don't
- 21:16Speaker 7: judge it, you don't.
- 21:17Speaker 8: These are young people, and young people deserve.
- 21:20Speaker 7: Opportunity because you never know what it's going to click
- 21:21Speaker 7: for them and they're going to get it. So we
- 21:23Speaker 7: always we keep it straight up. We don't you know,
- 21:27Speaker 7: we don't feel the need to divulge any information positive
- 21:30Speaker 7: or negative. We just make sure we do the best
- 21:31Speaker 7: buy them and help them find a spot so they
- 21:34Speaker 7: can continue number one, their education and of course their
- 21:36Speaker 7: pursuit of you know what they all want to do.
- 21:39Speaker 8: They all want to play football more we do less
- 21:41Speaker 8: couple in the room.
- 21:42Speaker 9: We're going to turn it over to Carter Tool on
- 21:43Speaker 9: the communications office, and you have Carter if you can
- 21:45Speaker 9: moderate some of our participants on zoom.
- 21:50Speaker 6: Yeah, that's the GAMP, but you have some aner more
- 21:53Speaker 6: sol ready to go ahead our exculations.
- 21:57Speaker 8: I was wondering, you know, back in the old playoff.
- 22:01Speaker 10: Format, three or four teams that would be playing this
- 22:04Speaker 10: weekend were defeated previously in.
- 22:07Speaker 8: The playoff, and obviously last.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Year Oldest and yourself were be the first three teams
- 22:12Speaker 1: left out. Just how good is in this day and
- 22:15Speaker 1: age that maybe much they played basketball.
- 22:18Speaker 12: Tournament A lot of us really think from how a
- 22:20Speaker 12: team vision of the season and gets taught at the
- 22:23Speaker 12: right time really gave a push a few days.
- 22:25Speaker 13: For a.
- 22:28Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean, you could cut it so many different ways,
- 22:30Speaker 7: and anyway you cut it, there's going to be an
- 22:32Speaker 7: issue of complaint, right an unsatisfied customer. I mean, I
- 22:37Speaker 7: guess it's a recurrent theme with something we always talked about.
- 22:41Speaker 8: What it does do is at least you get to.
- 22:45Speaker 7: Place value against once again on head to head competition, right,
- 22:48Speaker 7: you get to settle around the field and teams move
- 22:50Speaker 7: on and some teams don't. Now getting into that point again,
- 22:54Speaker 7: it's such an imperfect science unless it's completely consolidated in
- 22:59Speaker 7: the form that no one has a solution for. So
- 23:02Speaker 7: seeing the way things played out just goes to show
- 23:04Speaker 7: you that college football has become a lot like the
- 23:07Speaker 7: NFL than on any given day, any given day, any
- 23:10Speaker 7: team at any level, if you're not your very best, you.
- 23:13Speaker 8: Can get.
- 23:16Speaker 13: Thanks.
- 23:17Speaker 8: We're good about Like coach back in two thousand and three,
- 23:22Speaker 8: the last time he who.
- 23:23Speaker 6: Was in the pis football and did that well.
- 23:26Speaker 8: It was a controversial and I know you're rumbers at
- 23:30Speaker 8: the time.
- 23:31Speaker 11: What do you remember.
- 23:31Speaker 7: About watching that game at lower when you watched it.
- 23:36Speaker 7: I remember being at Rutgers and watching the game, but
- 23:39Speaker 7: that was about it.
- 23:42Speaker 8: Nothing about the I would end it. I mean, I'm
- 23:45Speaker 8: at Rutgers.
- 23:46Speaker 7: My focus was on making sure that my Titans at
- 23:49Speaker 7: the time were prepared to play their very best football.
- 23:52Speaker 8: It's great, sir, Thanks, We'll get a show guard go ahead.
- 23:56Speaker 14: Of He and she been part a lot of Miami
- 24:01Speaker 14: Hurricane teams as a player coach, a SA coach, what
- 24:05Speaker 14: makes this team different?
- 24:09Speaker 7: Oh, I don't know, that's a I think that's a
- 24:11Speaker 7: question that is probably best answered at the end of
- 24:14Speaker 7: the year. I think that this team's maturity, its approached
- 24:19Speaker 7: to and professionalism as it relates to preparation and practice
- 24:25Speaker 7: and being able to carry that over to to the.
- 24:29Speaker 8: Playing field on game day.
- 24:31Speaker 7: For us, it's been a team that has progressed tremendously
- 24:35Speaker 7: over the past couple of years. But to I mean,
- 24:38Speaker 7: that's that's a tough question to answer. I apologize for
- 24:41Speaker 7: not being able to have a good answer for you.
- 24:44Speaker 8: You know, I don't know.
- 24:45Speaker 7: We we're just focused on our one to know process,
- 24:48Speaker 7: and you know, that's that's about it for us.
- 24:55Speaker 8: We've got time for two more. Will start with.
- 25:00Speaker 14: I'm kind of about a follow up to the portal questions.
- 25:02Speaker 13: I was asked earlier, what.
- 25:04Speaker 12: Do you think of kind of having this portal window
- 25:07Speaker 12: opened out some teams are actively still in season, and then,
- 25:11Speaker 12: on top of being honest and france apparent with your players,
- 25:14Speaker 12: trying to navigate.
- 25:15Speaker 6: The portal while the landscape.
- 25:18Speaker 8: Of college football is so ever changing.
- 25:21Speaker 7: Yeah, how much time do we have. We could go
- 25:24Speaker 7: we could go on and on on this one. Now
- 25:26Speaker 7: it's it's it doesn't make much sense. And now that, honestly,
- 25:31Speaker 7: I have now a different perspective, now that we're in
- 25:33Speaker 7: the playoffs and dealing with it. We haven't dealt with
- 25:36Speaker 7: it in a negative way, you know, at least not yet,
- 25:38Speaker 7: and you know you never want to, but you could
- 25:41Speaker 7: see some of the challenges that can come up with this,
- 25:43Speaker 7: and I mean it's there's a lot to unpack here,
- 25:49Speaker 7: there is and there has to be a solution. I'm
- 25:52Speaker 7: counting on you and your colleagues to provide us with
- 25:54Speaker 7: one here in the near future. But I don't have
- 25:57Speaker 7: one right now, except that you know what wake up,
- 25:59Speaker 7: work care do right before the big man upstairs and
- 26:03Speaker 7: your team and your people and your family and everything
- 26:05Speaker 7: else will take.
- 26:05Speaker 8: Care of yourself.

- 27:25Speaker 15: at eight there. I just think it's going to be
- 27:29Speaker 15: teams get like a team like Miami, tough to break
- 27:31Speaker 15: the pattern. You get a transfer quarterback every year and
- 27:34Speaker 15: you have success with it. You want to go back
- 27:36Speaker 15: to that veteran Indiana. You don't want to give a

- 29:08Speaker 6: last January of twenty twenty five, where hopes were high

- 29:17Speaker 6: syndicated into a national podcast, be retired by now have
- 29:24Speaker 6: all the pictures from the met Gala from last year
- 29:28Speaker 6: the Oscars, and it just it didn't happen.
- 29:33Speaker 16: It just slipped through the cracks.
- 29:35Speaker 6: For whatever reason, it just didn't happen.
- 29:40Speaker 16: I was really banking on me being retired.
- 29:42Speaker 13: I'm not going to lie.
- 29:43Speaker 6: Well, you and me, both, you and me both. So
- 29:48Speaker 6: as of right now, we'll be back on January sixth.
- 29:55Speaker 6: We'll see what happens. That's a long way away. You know.
- 29:58Speaker 16: Maybe I'll learn how to proper pronounce things.
- 30:02Speaker 6: No, we don't want to do that. We don't.
- 30:05Speaker 13: Maybe all care a little more.
- 30:07Speaker 6: No, No, we don't want to care.
- 30:10Speaker 16: No, No, that be part of the charm of this show.
- 30:14Speaker 6: Thank you. That's exactly right. Okay, So then I hate
- 30:19Speaker 6: to start this out like this, but we have to.
- 30:23Speaker 13: We have to. It's all that we do things.
- 30:25Speaker 6: Prosecutors have folllowed criminal charges against Nick Ryder, accused of
- 30:31Speaker 6: fatally stabbing his parents. Yeah, he was arrested on the
- 30:37Speaker 6: outskirts of downtown, LA. Faces two counts of murder with
- 30:42Speaker 6: special circumstance, allegation of multiple murders, and a special allegation
- 30:48Speaker 6: he personally used a dangerous and deadly weapon. I thought
- 30:51Speaker 6: that's what murder was, but hey, I'm not sure it's
- 30:55Speaker 6: the It's Rob Ryder and Michelle Singer's thirty two year
- 30:59Speaker 6: old son, Belly Crystal Martin Short Albert Brooks Larry David
- 31:05Speaker 6: honoring writer as quote a master storyteller, passionate, brave citizen,
- 31:11Speaker 6: adding that she devoted a great deal of their lives
- 31:17Speaker 6: for the betterment of fellow citizens. Just a strange situation.
- 31:23Speaker 6: You know. It's it's more tragic than the gene Hackman
- 31:28Speaker 6: and wife death. Remember we dealt with that last year.
- 31:33Speaker 16: This one, yeah, yeah.
- 31:35Speaker 6: This one's very very different, very different.
- 31:39Speaker 16: So well, yeah, because the I mean, the other one,
- 31:42Speaker 16: they're both sad, yes, regardless, right, uh no, no matter
- 31:46Speaker 16: how you look at it. But this one, like, I
- 31:49Speaker 16: don't know, like I watch a lot of crime TV.
- 31:51Speaker 17: Yeah, and it's something about your own kids, right, like
- 31:57Speaker 17: murder in general.
- 31:58Speaker 16: Right, but you're a children, You're like, whoa. Yeah, like
- 32:02Speaker 16: that's a whole other level.
- 32:04Speaker 6: Yeah. Not good, not at all. But hey, let's let's
- 32:07Speaker 6: move on. Let's move on. So happy in fact, the
- 32:12Speaker 6: quicker we move on with these stories, the quicker we
- 32:15Speaker 6: can get to all the rest of the dead celebrities in.
- 32:18Speaker 16: Five Yes, yes, oh I know y'all look forward to.
- 32:20Speaker 6: Wait, no, I do, yes, very much well, let's talk
- 32:24Speaker 6: about Kate.
- 32:24Speaker 13: You want to talk about Kate?
- 32:25Speaker 6: Absolutely, absolutely, A breath of fresh air, a breath of that.
- 32:30Speaker 13: Kate. She's just nothing is wrong with her. She's perfect.
- 32:33Speaker 16: Kate Middleton is reclaiming her confidence after a year that
- 32:37Speaker 16: saw her announce her cancel, remission, and help host three
- 32:41Speaker 16: world leaders.
- 32:41Speaker 9: Wow.
- 32:42Speaker 16: So the Princess of Wales, who is forty three, has
- 32:45Speaker 16: sent her family as her gradually re emerges into public
- 32:49Speaker 16: life following her illness. She is in the confident phase
- 32:54Speaker 16: where she is able to define who she is, what
- 32:57Speaker 16: she does, and how much she does.
- 32:59Speaker 6: Oh that's all.
- 33:01Speaker 13: At one end of.
- 33:02Speaker 16: The majestic Saint George's Hall and Windsor Castle stood a
- 33:06Speaker 16: twenty foot Christmas tree glittering with thousands of lives.
- 33:10Speaker 6: Wait, you know what I would think that? Kate? Who
- 33:12Speaker 6: is and I'm not I'm not being feddy here. She's
- 33:19Speaker 6: in remission from cancer. How could she put up a
- 33:22Speaker 6: twenty foot Christmas tree with thousands of Christmas lights?
- 33:26Speaker 16: Chip? That is what the peasants are for. Okay, not
- 33:31Speaker 16: the peasants, sorry, her royal servants. I don't know if
- 33:34Speaker 16: that's what they're called either. If I just offended a
- 33:37Speaker 16: royal servant.
- 33:37Speaker 13: I'm so sorry.
- 33:38Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 33:39Speaker 18: Anyways, yeah, they're listening to us. But it was her
- 33:45Speaker 18: who shone the brightest as she swept into the December
- 33:48Speaker 18: third State Banquet on the arm.
- 33:51Speaker 17: Of Prince William delivery a festive flourish Kate wore Queen
- 33:57Speaker 17: Victoria's one hundred and seventy two years old oriental crescent tiara.
- 34:03Speaker 16: Her circle is I don't think I said that. I
- 34:05Speaker 16: don't know.
- 34:05Speaker 13: It doesn't matter.
- 34:06Speaker 16: The largest and grandest she's ever debuted, once warned by
- 34:10Speaker 16: Victoria herself and later by Queen Elizabeth and the Queen Mother,
- 34:15Speaker 16: it has been has long been believed to be reserved
- 34:18Speaker 16: for queens in future queens under the term of Victoria
- 34:23Speaker 16: as well, which we do know. If the cards aligne
- 34:26Speaker 16: and once Charles hits the book at William and.
- 34:29Speaker 13: King, she will be the Queen.
- 34:30Speaker 16: She'll be Queen.
- 34:31Speaker 8: Wow. Okay.
- 34:33Speaker 16: Anyways, as Princess Kate reaches the end of the year
- 34:36Speaker 16: marked by recovery and a gradual reclaiming of her role
- 34:40Speaker 16: and confidence, is symbolism was unmistakable.
- 34:43Speaker 13: She's our idea of a.
- 34:45Speaker 16: Future Queen Nice the December State Banquet for German President
- 34:50Speaker 16: Frank Walter Stein mirror.
- 34:53Speaker 13: I don't know if I.
- 34:54Speaker 16: Said that right and his wife marked the couple's third
- 34:57Speaker 16: of the year, placing Kate and William and front and center.
- 35:02Speaker 13: So that's exciting.
- 35:04Speaker 8: Nice.
- 35:05Speaker 16: They did help WU and influence visiting leers such as
- 35:08Speaker 16: President Donald Trump in September. They're becoming the face of
- 35:12Speaker 16: state visits. They're taking on a leadership.
- 35:14Speaker 6: Well that's about time. You can't just do walk about
- 35:18Speaker 6: your whole career.
- 35:20Speaker 16: You have to wait till you're the queen or the
- 35:22Speaker 16: king to do a walk about everyone.
- 35:24Speaker 6: I guess, well, there's good forgetting for you. K We're
- 35:30Speaker 6: so glad you're re emerging. That is awesome. I'm gonna
- 35:35Speaker 6: need some help with this, Okay. Top songs of twenty
- 35:40Speaker 6: twenty five, you're going to know all of them. There's
