- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome to Dirty Rush, The Truth about Sorority Life with
- 0:04Speaker 1: your hosts me Gia.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Judice, Daisy Kent, and Jennifer Kessler.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Hey guys, and welcome back to another episode of Dirty Rush.
- 0:14Speaker 1: I am currently in the Bay Area for the Big Game.
- 0:18Speaker 1: I love it here, but I also gathered some sorority
- 0:21Speaker 1: girls to answer some burning questions here for this Dirty
- 0:25Speaker 1: Rush episode. Hi girls, Hi, yes, I found them off
- 0:31Speaker 1: the street. Okay, so let's get into it. Is it
- 0:37Speaker 1: weird to go to the bathroom and shower next to
- 0:40Speaker 1: each other in the sorority house.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Well, my sorority house was the showers in the bathrooms
- 0:49Speaker 3: were closed off, so it was not weird at all.
- 0:51Speaker 4: I never had that problem.
- 0:52Speaker 3: What do you mean, like like there was individual showers
- 0:55Speaker 3: are you talking about, Like yeah, but aren't.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Like being in the back at the same time. Yeah.
- 1:01Speaker 1: I don't think any sorority house has like open showers.
- 1:06Speaker 2: I think everyone has a stall stall.
- 1:09Speaker 5: But I mean, at least in my house, we had
- 1:11Speaker 5: shower parties, so you did purposely time like when you
- 1:15Speaker 5: were going to showers that one person have a speaker
- 1:17Speaker 5: and everyone be hanging out in the back showering at
- 1:19Speaker 5: the exact same. Yeah, like purposely planned.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Okay, that's I feel like that's kind of fun though.
- 1:25Speaker 5: Yeah, no, it's super fun.
- 1:27Speaker 2: I mean to just like shower and dance and sing
- 1:29Speaker 2: in the shower. Yeah, that's so fun.
- 1:32Speaker 5: I mean you're getting ready for the parties or going
- 1:34Speaker 5: to the same events. Why not shower together?
- 1:36Speaker 2: How many showers were there?
- 1:38Speaker 5: Five stall? Like five little stalls.
- 1:41Speaker 2: I assume some girls probably showered together.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Probably, and it was like it when I was showering.
- 1:51Speaker 3: I feel like it was always like an everything shower
- 1:54Speaker 3: or not always, I guess. Yeah, But in the fraternity
- 1:58Speaker 3: houses they had just shower heads in like a huge
- 2:03Speaker 3: shower room, which is disgusting.
- 2:07Speaker 4: Yeah, I know, like they would steam out the whole room.
- 2:09Speaker 3: The room was like about this size and there was
- 2:13Speaker 3: like six shower heads.
- 2:15Speaker 1: I just feel like it's weirder for guys, But then
- 2:16Speaker 1: I feel like guys get off on it more than girls. Yeah,
- 2:22Speaker 1: dead ass, because I feel like it's kind of like that.
- 2:25Speaker 2: In the high school locker rooms too. It's pretty much
- 2:27Speaker 2: all open.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it is open, but I remember it was
- 2:30Speaker 3: never like a get naked kind of thing, like everyone
- 2:33Speaker 3: was in their swimsuits from pe or from swim or
- 2:36Speaker 3: water polo.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:38Speaker 3: So yeah, I didn't really have that issue with going
- 2:39Speaker 3: to the bathroom. I think girls think it's less weird.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, and kind of just go with it. It's like,
- 2:44Speaker 3: oh well, I just.
- 2:45Speaker 5: Think it's especially at frats, I think it's quite gross
- 2:48Speaker 5: because I've been in situations where I'm waiting for the
- 2:50Speaker 5: bathroom out of frat and girls will go into the
- 2:53Speaker 5: open like exactly what we're talking about with those bathrooms
- 2:57Speaker 5: and go and pee in there. So I'm like, that's
- 2:58Speaker 5: an extra layer of disgusting.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Yeah, and the bathrooms are god yeah clean. That's crazy. Okay. Yeah,
- 3:07Speaker 2: so girls, girls do it, I guess, and it's not weird. Okay.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Is it weird to date someone your sorority sister also dated,
- 3:14Speaker 1: I could say, I feel like you.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Will get burned and that's so awkward too.
- 3:21Speaker 6: And also like if you go to a small school,
- 3:23Speaker 6: like I went to a smaller school, like you're not
- 3:25Speaker 6: going to go for a guy that like like all
- 3:28Speaker 6: your friends have like hooked up with or dated, like
- 3:30Speaker 6: that's just weird. But it just gets smaller and smaller
- 3:33Speaker 6: as you get older and older. By the time it's
- 3:35Speaker 6: senior year, like your friends have kissed every normal guy.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel like it's just a big no no too,
- 3:40Speaker 1: especially while you're a freshman and to rush, you should
- 3:46Speaker 1: not get with any older guy. If you want to
- 3:48Speaker 1: get with a freshman, it's fine because odds are, like
- 3:51Speaker 1: a potential older sister, it's going to have a less
- 3:54Speaker 1: likely chance to hook up with a freshman than an
- 3:56Speaker 1: older guy.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Yeah. So I remember one of my friends.
- 3:58Speaker 1: I felt so bad for her, but smart, beautiful girl,
- 4:02Speaker 1: like definitely could have been a sorority girl and just
- 4:05Speaker 1: never was.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Oh no, she ended up becoming one.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Yes, but freshman year she got with this older guy,
- 4:12Speaker 1: but he happened to be dating somebody in the sorority
- 4:17Speaker 1: she didn't know, and they like blacklisted her. Oh god,
- 4:21Speaker 1: for rush, it's crazy.
- 4:23Speaker 6: I remember there was a story of this girl I
- 4:25Speaker 6: went to high school with. She went to school in California,
- 4:28Speaker 6: and so they had second semester rush and at a party,
- 4:31Speaker 6: she was like all over him, grabbing him, and they
- 4:33Speaker 6: like dropped her like every house because like the girl
- 4:36Speaker 6: it was like the president's boyfriend and so like she
- 4:39Speaker 6: told everyone to drop there, which is insane.
- 4:42Speaker 5: I feel like that happened so often just hear all
- 4:44Speaker 5: these stories, Like I feel like when you dating someone
- 4:47Speaker 5: who's in a like a frat, like you know why
- 4:49Speaker 5: they broke up. Yah. Yeah, you're all the like you're
- 4:52Speaker 5: the reputation, You're the reason, whether it's cheating, whether it's whatever,
- 4:56Speaker 5: and it's always something. So it's like, if you were
- 4:59Speaker 5: to then choose to go and date that guy doesn't
- 5:02Speaker 5: look good on your Well.
- 5:03Speaker 3: What's funny is when I was a sophomore, No, when
- 5:08Speaker 3: I was a freshman, I was hooking up with a
- 5:10Speaker 3: sophomore who I thought was kind of weird and like
- 5:14Speaker 3: he asked me on like weird dates that I like
- 5:17Speaker 3: freaked out and would throw my phone across the room,
- 5:19Speaker 3: like I could not stand him. But we were hooking
- 5:21Speaker 3: up and then we stopped. Flash forward to sophomore year.
- 5:26Speaker 3: I was interviewing, which sounds so weird. I was interviewing
- 5:29Speaker 3: girls to be my little What does.
- 5:31Speaker 2: That call speed dated?
- 5:33Speaker 5: Yes?
- 5:33Speaker 3: Ye, we were speed dating and she was telling me
- 5:36Speaker 3: the story of this guy she was hooking up with
- 5:38Speaker 3: but was a little bit weird, same guy.
- 5:41Speaker 4: And then we like bonded over the fact that you're
- 5:44Speaker 4: using the term weird too.
- 5:45Speaker 5: Yeah, that's what that's his descriptor weird.
- 5:48Speaker 4: But I don't even know. We just like like slowly
- 5:50Speaker 4: on sheet.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Yeah, and then she's turned into my little Oh my god,
- 5:53Speaker 3: and then get this.
- 5:55Speaker 1: See, sometimes you could really bond over a guy. Yeah,
- 5:59Speaker 1: it didn't didn't have.
- 6:00Speaker 3: To be weird because we both live in the same city. Now,
- 6:05Speaker 3: last year, I went on a date with this smoke
- 6:08Speaker 3: from a friend of a friend, mutual.
- 6:12Speaker 4: We went on a couple of dates.
- 6:14Speaker 2: You're using such interesting words today.
- 6:17Speaker 4: We went on a couple of dates. He was so gorgeous,
- 6:20Speaker 4: so fun.
- 6:21Speaker 3: And then flash forward to like six months later, someone
- 6:25Speaker 3: told me that it came up randomly in my little
- 6:29Speaker 3: conversation that they had gone on a couple of dates too.
- 6:32Speaker 2: And mashed on hinge.
- 6:34Speaker 4: That's why we're so sisters at Yeah.
- 6:41Speaker 1: I don't think you guys should constantly be going out
- 6:43Speaker 1: with the same guys. I feel like for it to
- 6:45Speaker 1: happen twice, it's a little too often. Yeah, it's one
- 6:49Speaker 1: too many times for sure, especially when you move to
- 6:51Speaker 1: a new city.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Let's not bond over it too much. Okay, curiously, we
- 6:59Speaker 2: haven't talked sense.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Well, okay, would you say that there is cattiness in
- 7:04Speaker 1: the sorority house or just in sororities in general.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Yes, like caddie like cat like you fight like over
- 7:13Speaker 2: stupid stuff. Yeah, like caddies.
- 7:15Speaker 6: It's like small, small like girls getting mad over really
- 7:18Speaker 6: small things like.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Music too loud in the realm, or not returning somebody's thing.
- 7:27Speaker 4: Me and my roommate used to sing to each other.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Oh my god, that's yeah a little no.
- 7:34Speaker 3: We would just like sing like just for funsies, and
- 7:38Speaker 3: like people would talk about it downstairs like we were
- 7:42Speaker 3: just we were we were just having fun in our rooms.
- 7:45Speaker 2: I definitely would have talked about it.
- 7:47Speaker 3: So people were talking about it and they were a
- 7:49Speaker 3: little bit annoyed, and yeah, I like why there was
- 7:53Speaker 3: singing coming from.
- 7:54Speaker 6: The room, And that was like the only dat Like
- 7:56Speaker 6: just like your conversations, would you sing them?
- 7:58Speaker 2: Yeah, that's awesome.
- 8:01Speaker 5: You wouldn't play music, make a little jingle of your day.
- 8:04Speaker 4: Yeah, you know what, you just like sing what you're
- 8:06Speaker 4: trying to say?
- 8:07Speaker 2: Can you give us an example not a seal?
- 8:21Speaker 4: Yes exactly. And it actually actually was like can you
- 8:27Speaker 4: guys keep it down Like I'm trying to study and
- 8:28Speaker 4: we're like.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Oh, actually, what causes the most drama in a sorority house.
- 8:42Speaker 3: I think like boys, boys in drinking, blacking out. We
- 8:47Speaker 3: had some horrible instances where girls would come home and
- 8:50Speaker 3: like one girl projectile vomited in our living room and
- 8:55Speaker 3: it was bad. And then it was like the carpet
- 8:58Speaker 3: would was dragged out and put out side, and then
- 9:01Speaker 3: in the morning the president woke up screenshotted the security
- 9:04Speaker 3: footage of the carpet outside and was like, why is
- 9:07Speaker 3: our carpet outside?
- 9:09Speaker 4: And then I don't know, Yeah, I was just a disaster.
- 9:12Speaker 3: I think.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree. I think it's boys and drinking. I
- 9:14Speaker 1: think it's like sneaking boys into the house too, or
- 9:18Speaker 1: like coming home drunk and like raiding the kitchen or
- 9:22Speaker 1: making a mess.
- 9:23Speaker 2: I feel like all of that is like kind of big.
- 9:25Speaker 5: Yeah, a lot. We have a lot of issues with girls,
- 9:29Speaker 5: like once they become seniors, not being involved anymore, and
- 9:32Speaker 5: that causes a lot of problems, like not showing up
- 9:35Speaker 5: to events, not being involved in like alumni things, or
- 9:38Speaker 5: not coming to chapter and kind of just once you
- 9:41Speaker 5: get to a certain point, you no longer have as
- 9:44Speaker 5: much interest in the story. You kind of just fall
- 9:45Speaker 5: off the grid.
- 9:48Speaker 6: It just happens it happens, I think with my sorty
- 9:50Speaker 6: I was just like, yeah, like, of course the seniors
- 9:52Speaker 6: aren't a chapter.
- 9:53Speaker 5: Well, it's also I tell the younger girls, I'm like,
- 9:55Speaker 5: once you're a senior, you will feel the same way
- 9:58Speaker 5: like you will, just not anymore. I've been.
- 10:02Speaker 2: It's just found to happen. Which side of rush would
- 10:19Speaker 2: you think is better?
- 10:22Speaker 4: My god?
- 10:23Speaker 1: What side of rush do you think is better? Participating
- 10:27Speaker 1: in rush or rushing the potential and ms and already
- 10:34Speaker 1: being in a sorority.
- 10:34Speaker 5: Already I agree, reason that's better.
- 10:38Speaker 2: I hated.
- 10:41Speaker 5: I love doing it.
- 10:42Speaker 1: I liked both, but I liked on the other side
- 10:45Speaker 1: and recruited. I thought it was fun and exciting because
- 10:48Speaker 1: you're a freshman. I love then being older and actually
- 10:51Speaker 1: having to rush all these girls all day.
- 10:54Speaker 2: I wanted to like die.
- 10:55Speaker 4: Yeah, ours also went over.
- 10:57Speaker 3: It was first semester and it always went over a
- 10:59Speaker 3: three weekend and like a big football game.
- 11:02Speaker 5: To miss the first football game. It was dry. Yeah,
- 11:05Speaker 5: and they didn't let anybody in Greek life do it.
- 11:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:09Speaker 4: I before to be in then through I.
- 11:14Speaker 5: Just always felt like about myself. You're ranking like literally going,
- 11:18Speaker 5: you're doing these rounds, You're ranking girls. Yeah.
- 11:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:21Speaker 5: Like being on the other side of it, I feel
- 11:24Speaker 5: like it was just super fun to elevator pitch and
- 11:26Speaker 5: be like that, so so like easy to just like
- 11:29Speaker 5: oh my god, like this is fun and no stakes involved.
- 11:32Speaker 5: I mean, obviously the stakes are whether or not you
- 11:33Speaker 5: get into a sorority. When you're on the other end
- 11:36Speaker 5: of it, I feel like I left every day being like, wow,
- 11:38Speaker 5: I'm an awful person. I just had to like put
- 11:41Speaker 5: girls in boxes and categorize everyone based on who was this,
- 11:45Speaker 5: this or that?
- 11:46Speaker 2: Yeah, and I got that.
- 11:47Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 11:47Speaker 6: I feel like if you're involved in recruitment, then you
- 11:50Speaker 6: tend to like like it a lot more like on
- 11:53Speaker 6: being in the sority.
- 11:54Speaker 3: What does kind of suck is like the rush week
- 11:57Speaker 3: sometimes I just think it's in it's exhausting, like when
- 12:00Speaker 3: you're a freshman rushing like you're excited.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Obviously if things don't go your way, it's maybe not
- 12:04Speaker 1: the best experience for you, but like just planning all that,
- 12:09Speaker 1: like rush chair they do a lot.
- 12:11Speaker 2: They do so much. Like it's a lot. It's a lot.
- 12:14Speaker 2: I mean it's a full time job. It's a little exhausting.
- 12:17Speaker 1: Yeah, what is it like if you have a good
- 12:19Speaker 1: friend that doesn't get into the same sorority that you
- 12:22Speaker 1: got into.
- 12:24Speaker 2: That's hard. I feel like it's hard. I don't know.
- 12:27Speaker 1: I mean I think it's a funny adjustment as a freshman, Yeah,
- 12:31Speaker 1: because you get really busy, you start.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Going to a lot of your events, and then.
- 12:37Speaker 1: You end up eventually seeing you know your friends at
- 12:41Speaker 1: parties and you end up making it work. But I
- 12:44Speaker 1: think you do have to put a little more effort
- 12:46Speaker 1: into it at first.
- 12:48Speaker 6: Yeah, I think it kind of matters more. It's like
- 12:51Speaker 6: the semester of rush you're doing it. Like I feel
- 12:53Speaker 6: like if it's like for my school, we did it
- 12:56Speaker 6: the week before recruitment started, so like you don't have
- 12:59Speaker 6: that many friends yet, Like you haven't made that many
- 13:01Speaker 6: friends unless you like knew girls from your high school. Yeah,
- 13:04Speaker 6: but once you were a second semester and you've like
- 13:07Speaker 6: made all these friends first semester, then I feel like
- 13:09Speaker 6: it would be a lot harder if your best friends
- 13:11Speaker 6: you've made for a semester didn't get in the swardy
- 13:13Speaker 6: you got in and maybe the ones you guys talked
- 13:15Speaker 6: about rushing.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I agree with that. So I feel like
- 13:19Speaker 2: it just depends.
- 13:21Speaker 4: Yeh, I didn't really experience that. I mean, I kind
- 13:24Speaker 4: of all your friends got into the same one. Well, yeah,
- 13:27Speaker 4: it was the first week of.
- 13:28Speaker 5: School, so my roommates that's like me too.
- 13:31Speaker 4: Yeah, we both rushed the same sororities and then.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Got Yeah see mine was second semester and a lot
- 13:37Speaker 1: of my friends just didn't rush or like didn't have
- 13:40Speaker 1: the GPA to rush, and so.
- 13:43Speaker 3: I just was in my sorority. Why didn't some of
- 13:46Speaker 3: your friends rush they didn't have the GPA? Oh really yeah,
- 13:51Speaker 3: like literally most you had to have like a two
- 13:54Speaker 3: point five. I thought it was the craziest thing ever.
- 13:57Speaker 4: We are are ours you have to have a three
- 14:00Speaker 4: two to get into you gotta have a two point five.
- 14:03Speaker 2: And I was like, how do my friends?
- 14:05Speaker 6: And that's hard if your second semester rush, because so
- 14:07Speaker 6: many freshmen have a hard first semester because it's such
- 14:10Speaker 6: an adjustment.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Yeah, and that was it.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I think And at the time, a lot of
- 14:14Speaker 1: my friends thought they wanted to go into this field
- 14:19Speaker 1: and maybe be this or you know, a doctor, a nurse,
- 14:23Speaker 1: a dentist, like really hard yeah majors where it was like,
- 14:30Speaker 1: maybe not the smartest decision as a freshman to do. Yeah,
- 14:33Speaker 1: because they were taking biology or chemistry or just really
- 14:38Speaker 1: hard classes where they were.
- 14:40Speaker 2: All literally failing. Yeah, that's so it's a big adjustment. Yeah,
- 14:44Speaker 2: you're right. So I feel like the GPA thing is
- 14:46Speaker 2: hard again for second semester. The guitment.
- 14:49Speaker 4: It's kind of like on the flip side with guys.
- 14:52Speaker 4: I remember freshman year.
- 14:53Speaker 3: I was talking to my guy friends and they were
- 14:56Speaker 3: failing out of their freshman year.
- 14:59Speaker 4: Classes because of pledging. Yeah, fraternities, and so they were
- 15:03Speaker 4: like up all night.
- 15:05Speaker 3: I don't know if they were drinking while they were pledging,
- 15:08Speaker 3: whatever they were doing, they had zero time to do
- 15:10Speaker 3: their school work and then they were exhausted during class.
- 15:13Speaker 3: So then they all got horrible gps.
- 15:17Speaker 5: That's why school. My dad always tells me that the
- 15:20Speaker 5: only reason he was in a frat for one semesters
- 15:22Speaker 5: because his grades tanked too much that he had to
- 15:24Speaker 5: drop like literally pledging, Like it's hard to keep up,
- 15:27Speaker 5: especially if you depending on your majors, Like you really
- 15:30Speaker 5: have to keep that high GPA.
- 15:31Speaker 6: Yeah, my school, the fraternities, like during pledging, like had
- 15:35Speaker 6: to go to the library for certain hours of the day.
- 15:38Speaker 6: We had study hours, had study hours as freshmen we did.
- 15:42Speaker 1: To like keep us like and honestly, I kind of
- 15:44Speaker 1: liked it, yeah, because it was like they forced you
- 15:46Speaker 1: to go to like either whether it was a lecture
- 15:51Speaker 1: hall or the library, and we literally had to sit
- 15:54Speaker 1: there for two hours and like do work.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Yeah, and it kind of just like forced you to
- 15:59Speaker 2: do it.
- 15:59Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Also you're going to do They would yell at you
- 16:01Speaker 1: if you were talking. Yeah, so it's like mine as well,
- 16:04Speaker 1: just do your work. Yeah, yeah, that's true.
- 16:06Speaker 6: I think it's a good thing for the fraternities because
- 16:10Speaker 6: they kind of need that because they're so busy, so
- 16:12Speaker 6: like forced them to go sit in the library, yeah
- 16:14Speaker 6: for two hours.
- 16:15Speaker 4: We would get points for studying, yeah, which would then
- 16:18Speaker 4: lead to like a good room.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Thinking back to points good room for living in the house.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Gabrielle, my sister grinded for those points because she wanted
- 16:29Speaker 1: a single, She wanted her own room.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Yeah, and she grinded, went to every single event. Did
- 16:38Speaker 2: she get it, Yeah, she got it. Oh, of course
- 16:40Speaker 2: she got it.
- 16:41Speaker 1: She would have lost her mind, yeah, if she had
- 16:45Speaker 1: enough if I think she would have lost her mind.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Because if you didn't get a single, obviously, then you
- 16:50Speaker 1: got a double, but if you didn't get the double,
- 16:54Speaker 1: you were literally they called it the orphanage because you
- 16:57Speaker 1: were stuck in a room with like twenty bunk beds.
- 17:02Speaker 4: Oh my god, And I've just thought that that was Michigan.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Yeah, isn't it called like the.
- 17:09Speaker 4: Or I don't know, sleeping porch.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Yes, I was like pork. Yeah, I don't know.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know, but I thought it was crazy
- 17:16Speaker 1: because I'm like, I've never heard of that before.
- 17:20Speaker 2: Like there's your ship is every like your stuff is everywhere.
- 17:25Speaker 1: It's basically like everyone has a there's like a room
- 17:29Speaker 1: for the beds and then a room for everyone's core.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I've heard of this. It's crazy, and it's like
- 17:34Speaker 2: that's no way to live, ye go.
- 17:39Speaker 3: Or if someone coughs, yeah, oh my gosh, the illnesses
- 17:43Speaker 3: that probably spread in that room, oh yeah. Or if
- 17:46Speaker 3: you can't sleep and everyone else around you is to
- 17:48Speaker 3: sleep and they're storing to get creative.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Gabrielle's OCD is just too extreme, Like she would have
- 17:56Speaker 1: never been able to.
- 17:58Speaker 4: To do that, been able to survive, you know, Yeah,
- 18:03Speaker 4: I could never.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Our fraternity house is gross, super very.
- 18:22Speaker 4: I don't think i've ever seen it decently looking.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Room.
- 18:28Speaker 5: Genuinely, they're disgusting.
- 18:30Speaker 2: They're just so sticky.
- 18:32Speaker 5: Everything is sticky. There is so much alcohol to think
- 18:37Speaker 5: that it's the turnover time throwing a party, then you
- 18:41Speaker 5: have like maybe three days of actually living there and
- 18:43Speaker 5: then another party that's true, and then three days of
- 18:45Speaker 5: living there. It's just never clean. No, they don't actually
- 18:48Speaker 5: mean there's no maintenance of like livable standards.
- 18:51Speaker 1: I think us the fraternity houses at Rutgers hired a
- 18:55Speaker 1: cleaning service, but like not really like they don't care.
- 18:59Speaker 2: It's just house.
- 19:01Speaker 3: It's so nasty, I mean, like from houses being passed
- 19:06Speaker 3: on to like people coming in your room and breaking stuff.
- 19:10Speaker 3: I feel like there's no way to salvage a fraternity
- 19:14Speaker 3: no much less like a living room. It was so
- 19:18Speaker 3: odd if I would go over to the fraternity house
- 19:20Speaker 3: in the daytime or the week to like see my
- 19:23Speaker 3: guy friends and there was a couch in the living room.
- 19:29Speaker 4: Did it come from hundred million years old? What animals
- 19:33Speaker 4: are living.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Couches in their rooms? Like always?
- 19:37Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 19:37Speaker 2: And their tiny room they managed to fit a house.
- 19:40Speaker 4: Everyone wanted like their room to.
- 19:41Speaker 5: Be it.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Like the hangout. Like during the party, everyone.
- 19:47Speaker 4: Co were in this room if you had a clean room.
- 19:52Speaker 3: I remember my friends and I would talk about this
- 19:54Speaker 3: if we went into our guy friend's room in the
- 19:56Speaker 3: fraternity house and it was like spotless, We're like, that's weird.
- 20:00Speaker 3: You should definitely not be having a tight, spotless week house.
- 20:05Speaker 2: No dust.
- 20:08Speaker 4: He was a little o CD.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Well some people are, but I feel like also living
- 20:13Speaker 1: in a fraternity house could like send you into having
- 20:16Speaker 1: like chronic of CD because you're like, this is the
- 20:20Speaker 1: only space that I can actually control. Yeah, and it's
- 20:24Speaker 1: my room. Yeah, yeah, I would probably keep it clean.
- 20:30Speaker 1: You should have thought that that was like attractive.
- 20:32Speaker 4: I know, I think I did. And then my friends
- 20:34Speaker 4: were like ew.
- 20:35Speaker 5: I was like, the.
- 20:37Speaker 6: Do you guys want to hear something crazy? Yeah, And
- 20:39Speaker 6: my dad's fraternity, him and his roommate started a bar
- 20:43Speaker 6: in their room. Oh my schools, it's still there. Yeah, yes,
- 20:48Speaker 6: oh that's pretty cute. Yeah, in their room and it's
- 20:50Speaker 6: still there. But I'm like, how were you living? And
- 20:53Speaker 6: they would make money. They would like go buy all
- 20:55Speaker 6: this alcohol, set up this little bar, and so when
- 20:57Speaker 6: there was parties, girls would like go up and I
- 21:00Speaker 6: drink from their room.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Oh my god, that's so funny, so smart, right, but like,
- 21:06Speaker 2: how would you like live like with a bar in
- 21:08Speaker 2: your room? Did he make like the door the bar?
- 21:12Speaker 2: It was like they set one up, I think the yeah.
- 21:20Speaker 6: Crazy.
- 21:21Speaker 3: What was also interesting was how much they paid for
- 21:26Speaker 3: their rooms. I mean, living in my area anyways was
- 21:31Speaker 3: just really expensive. But like the dues that they had
- 21:33Speaker 3: to pay to live in that ship hole to like also.
- 21:39Speaker 4: Was insane. Their dues were so high.
- 21:41Speaker 3: Yeah, like going to formals and stuff, oh yeah, because
- 21:45Speaker 3: they would have and like their parents were paying for
- 21:49Speaker 3: us to get blacked out.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Literally and great wanted to one up and wanted to
- 21:57Speaker 1: one up each other when it came to the formal.
- 22:00Speaker 2: So it was like you drove to your formal, you
- 22:03Speaker 2: took a party bus to your formal.
- 22:05Speaker 1: You did this.
- 22:06Speaker 4: Where did you guys go for your formals?
- 22:09Speaker 2: We if they were like nice.
- 22:11Speaker 1: We always kind of went like near the shore area,
- 22:15Speaker 1: and like we had like a couple of venues that
- 22:17Speaker 1: were on the beach, and we did one in the city.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Would you guys stay to night? And that was like
- 22:23Speaker 2: would you do like away foremost where you spent the
- 22:25Speaker 2: night anywhere only for the fraternities?
- 22:28Speaker 1: Did that? Yeah?
- 22:28Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, never the sororities, yeah.
- 22:32Speaker 4: Same, which was so fun away foremost were fun yeah, so.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Fun until you like didn't want to be with that guy.
- 22:39Speaker 4: Yeah, or you like had the worst end of your
- 22:42Speaker 4: life in your.
- 22:45Speaker 3: Anxiety and you have two more days and then you
- 22:48Speaker 3: have to drive home with like six people.
- 22:51Speaker 4: Awful.
- 22:54Speaker 2: It's so funny.
- 22:56Speaker 1: Would you, guys ever shower out of fraternity always? Ever
- 23:00Speaker 1: boyfriends at a fraternity house? No, so you never experienced No,
- 23:06Speaker 1: I would never never.
- 23:08Speaker 3: Like you live in the same city. Do not put
- 23:12Speaker 3: your bare feet in that shower, go home, Go home, boyfriend.
- 23:16Speaker 3: If you got a shower, that means you should go home, Like,
- 23:18Speaker 3: do not shower, please go home.
- 23:20Speaker 4: Imagine you're like, oh.
- 23:22Speaker 2: Hey, babe, can I take a shower here? I mean
- 23:24Speaker 2: it's like the communal showers. Its gross. And that is
- 23:29Speaker 2: part one. Stay tuned for part two. Love you guys. Bye,
