- 1:29Yeah that's another one. We got the put up. That's another one.
- 1:32Yeah that's another one. That's another one. Yeah that's another one, another
- 1:34one, abyx. It is great all right, And as always I'm drawed
- 1:42by Tatiana King the Grand that is Attach also known as j Prince of All
- 1:48Sayings, Netslanders, Glorilla, grod Flex Luthor, Good Grief Cargo, Lambeo
- 1:55Cowrizi and Gucci Mandalorian, The Book of Ashanti, Testervac Thompson, Tatiana,
- 1:59Can the Conqueror Trash Catch Them, The Licor Mermaid, and The Ting of
- 2:04the North. I think Good Grief Cargo is another one, you know,
- 2:08to pay respect to the man. You know, we might have to do
- 2:10it. Yeah, yeah, we might get suit on that one though,
- 2:14you know, I mean we get character, I mean pretty much. You
- 2:16know. It's like I mean, fonce certainly took her shirt down at one
- 2:21time, So no problem with no problem. Shout out to Renal too,
- 2:24you know what I mean. I can't wait to hear it. Yeah,
- 2:29we won't do that one again. I'm happy she's letting my song go,
- 2:32Like shout out to everybody who's uh following you on band? Can't make sure
- 2:36you head over the big DJ energy dot com as well. Leave your email
- 2:39right there. That's the newness. That's that new hotness, Big djenergy dot
- 2:45Com. You like that? Well, My thing is you're not like basically
- 2:49playing her song over again. You're sampling it. You're interpolating, like allowing
- 2:53it. Doesn't know she let that go. That's fine, like you saw
- 2:57just for like think of people like what's the name that got big? What's
- 3:00his name that got big during pandemic where he would take these songs. Yes,
- 3:05it's a fine line, let me tell you. I will say it's
- 3:07a fine line. But you're being creative with it, all right. And
- 3:14also Beyonce frequently, especially since Renaissan, She's always done this, but especially
- 3:16in Renaissan, she releases the a cappellas and the vocals for the express purpose
- 3:22of doing things like this, and yet her label has different things to say
- 3:27about it, like long story short, what I've learned is if I put
- 3:30that Beyonce mix in a mix like that's longer than fifteen minutes, so that
- 3:36it can't be monetized, they'll let it go. But when I upload that
- 3:39song by itself so people can listen to it on soundtalk, fuck out here,
- 3:44they said, you're not monetizing, it's immediately like you can't even put
- 3:49it on private. That shit is eliminated. So they know her bots.
- 3:53One thing about bees bots, Okay, we literally hash that bees box.
- 3:58They work motherfucking over time. And when I say they work morning, noon
- 4:01and night three thousand and sixty five days, you know what I'm saying,
- 4:05Like, it's unbelievable how fast they will snatch it so unbelievable. It's like
- 4:12how Prince was shot up Prince back in the day because he was the same
- 4:15way. Woo. But yeah, being that, make sure you had to
- 4:18bid djenergy dot com so you can get all of my new hotness everything I'm

- 5:12it is the four All Nerds Show, you know, yeah, I mean
- 5:15we are, you know, creators ourselves, so we got to big up
- 5:17these themes, like you know, I'm really proud, Like, oh that
- 5:19I do. Gotta say that because as you hear this. By the time
- 5:23you hear this, we've released four pages of art by the great Tom Mandrake
- 5:30with colors by Justin Prokovic, So you can make sure you check that out.
- 5:34They're online. They're on my Instagram DJ bet, I mean on for
- 5:38All Nerds. You'll see them on there. It's crazy, some of the
- 5:42most beautiful art from the book. One of Tom's double page splashes got released.
- 5:47It's just absolutely beautiful. It's completely context free, no spoilers because there's
- 5:53no letters, there's nothing to tell you about what these images mean. But
- 5:57when I tell you there's a lot, there's a wanted it it is.
- 6:00There's so much stories, so much information. You can pick it apart.
- 6:03See what you can find, all the easter eggs. You know, you
- 6:05know, you don't know what it's about, but you know, just check
- 6:08it out. Shout out to Tom Mandre, shout out to Justin on the
- 6:11colors that they both did the damn thing on this book and it's dropping,
- 6:15you know, July thirty first, very soon, see me at San Diego
- 6:18Comic Con. Look for me at Dragon Con. Probably all the cons,
- 6:23all the cons. If you got a podcast that you you know, want
- 6:27me on, I'll be down to be on it. Let me know.
- 6:29I'm ready to do interviews. I'm ready to talk about Hendrix Purple Hayes as
- 6:33did it done excellent? Oh, I actually do have a podcast for you
- 6:38to be on. I'll tell you about it after these messages. The first
- 6:42message is X men ninety seven, that trailer drop that was exciting today,
- 6:47at least for me particularly. I know it was for you too, but
- 6:51especially for me. That was the reason why for me because that was my
- 6:56entry way into not necessarily comic books, but comics and learning about Marvel and
- 7:01these characters, like because I still didn't read a comic book until many years
- 7:05later, but this was my entry point. Fox kids, Yeah, and
- 7:12go ahead, go ahead, keep going. Okay as a child, where
- 7:17in hindsight, I was probably too young to be watching this shit, and
- 7:19you mentioned it today in Twitter. I realized how dramatical the dramatics were so
- 7:29high, like I've always known, like, realized that storm was dramatic.
- 7:33The winds of the east and the storms of the south come bless me.
- 7:38You know all that shit, right, Yes, but everything about it is
- 7:41a giant soap opera. And yes it's all derived from the comic book.
- 7:45But again, a young child that has nothing, has no idea about the
- 7:48comics or how these things work. You're just watching this like this is my
- 7:53soap. These are my stories as a kid, Those are my story.
- 7:56You know, you go in to grandma's room when she's watching stories, those
- 7:58are my stories. And it was listen that that low triangle that that's probably
- 8:05one of the most that's the first and most classical love triangle I've ever learned.
- 8:09Jean Gray, Scott Summers and bub himself for me. Yeah, yeah,
- 8:16there you go. I was a little older obviously when it dropped,
- 8:20and I remember, like I remember like you remember, well, not like
- 8:24you remember it, more like where it was, like I remember all that
- 8:26other stuff, like the Storm. I remember Wolverine the first time he showed
- 8:30up, like there was I don't think it's in the Pride of the X
- 8:33Men one, but there's like this pilot for it where he has an Australian
- 8:37accent instead of a Canadian accent. Yeah, it's hilarious out here. Yeah.
- 8:43Yeah. They fixed it later obviously, and you know, it's the
- 8:48classic one that you know in love and I remember all that stuff. But
- 8:52then I was like, yo, I gotta rewatch this because whenever I look
- 8:54at it on Disney Plus, I always look at some of the titles somebody.
- 8:56They did a lot of storylines. I'm like, yo, let me
- 9:00storyline. Yeah, and a lot of characters I don't remember introducing and stuff.
- 9:05So I was like, let me rewatch this. So I started on
- 9:07season one and one. They jumped so heavy. The X Men timeline from
- 9:13the comics is just all convoluted on here, Like they have saber Tooth at
- 9:16the mansion in like the first episode, Ben, it's worse in the in
- 9:18the cartoon at least when watch Kids times, it was worse. It was
- 9:24what I'm saying, Yeah, yeah, yeah, but that's even worse.
- 9:26But what I'm saying is like when you watch it in order, it's it's
- 9:30telling a cohesive story throughout it. But they don't go from like X Men
- 9:33one to x Men two hundred. It's like they might have a storyline from
- 9:37x Men two oh five when X Men one thirty seven is happening, because
- 9:41like the Dark Phoenix stuff, is x Men one thirty seven that happens in
- 9:45the season one? I think he's season two something like that, Like season
- 9:48two they get through mad Ship. They like Janosha is introduced in the first
- 9:54four episodes. I think, yeah, it's people. Yeah, and I
- 9:58didn't know that because you know Janosha in the comics. Trump's way after the
- 10:01Phoenix saga, well did yeah, well did by did? But you know,
- 10:07like I said, I have no contest as a child, so like
- 10:09I learned about Like that's how that's literally like when from my beginnings of learning
- 10:15about everything Marvel and next Me and all this other stuff, this is where
- 10:18my knowledge stemmed from, right, So, like you said, learning about
- 10:20Janosha, learning about the different philosophies between Magneto and Professor X. Again,
- 10:26the love triangle I mentioned, Cable Bishop, like all those sagas, the
- 10:31fucking as you said, the Dark Phoenix saga, like all of that stuff
- 10:35is sinister flamboyant in it? Huh is sinister flamboyant in it? I want
- 10:41to say, hold on, hold on, because all right, this is
- 10:46like Kieran Gillen really wrote sinister, and I think other people did, but
- 10:50he really wrote sinister now and he's turned him into the super flamboyant. I
- 10:54always worried about his clothes, his extra he was, Yes, he was,
- 11:01And that comes a little later, you know, in the with the
- 11:05comics. And that's why when I'm watching this cartoon, it's so interesting to
- 11:09me how much X mend lore is like kind of because of this cartoon.
- 11:16Right, Like in the comics, the whole love triangle between Wolverine Cyclops and
- 11:22Jean was kind of hinted that and Claremont later developed it, but it still
- 11:26wasn't like this big thing in this new man in the first episode. It's
- 11:33the thing it was arguing about constantly, constantly that like, like I was
- 11:39tweeting you today when that nig when Jane was like, Cyclops is waiting for
- 11:43me. Go see a movie and we'll bring it it sliced up by a
- 11:46saber toothing, so she was checking on him. She's like, Cyclopes is
- 11:50waiting for me. I am due, Jane. It was not for real.
- 11:54I mean, I learned very early on what a sip was. So
- 12:00hate on my man slim. Honestly, that's where my hate of Scott Summers
- 12:03stems from. And I'm at the keep watching and how much the sucker they
- 12:07make him, because so far he's been kind of gangster. He's been gagster
- 12:09in the field, but a sucker and he's a leader right in the field
- 12:13he's a leader, but everywhere else he's a simp. I never I know,
- 12:18but I never liked the man, and even to this day, I
- 12:20think that has biased my world view of him. It doesn't matter what version
- 12:24of him. I'm like, I don't like that nigga every time I see
- 12:26him because I just like he's a simp. And it's also just like when
- 12:30I especially as a kid, I was like, I rather Geen be with
- 12:31with Wolverine. But ye see, because I was a simp, you know,
- 12:37I wanted her to be with Stott, but Scott was soft. But
- 12:39but as a grown man, I liked Scott with Emma and I like Jean.
- 12:46I like what they're like. I like what they were doing in Coole
- 12:48where it was Jean Scott and movie is kind of just an open couple,
- 12:54a throuple. I kind of like that. That was interesting, you know,
- 12:58but I liked I like Stott Emma. That was that was an interesting
- 13:01relationship for me as a kid, it was Scott and Jean. Of course
- 13:05I was in love, you know, I was in love with Jean,
- 13:07So it was like, no, no, my man's logan. He was
- 13:09always the man from Jump, Yeah, and never the biggest Wolverene fan.
- 13:13He was my he was man some Jump. And then also that me watching
- 13:18that that also led to me watching things like the Iron Man cartoon and that's
- 13:22you know, that's what you said, like you said like he was like
- 13:24third stringer at the time, but like, you know, that was the
- 13:28one I knew. I knew who I am. It was I knew who
- 13:30Tony Tony was, and I knew about his alcoholism and all this other stuff.
- 13:33Cause what I'm saying, it's like shit from the nineties. They didn't
- 13:35care that you were like eight, Like they were just like, oh nah,
- 13:41They was like, you're gonna learn about alcoholism, You're gonn learn about
- 13:43people's problems, grow up with that. Next probably well, I don't know,
- 13:46I'm going he was down bad, Tony was down band in that cartoon,
- 13:52My nigga, you need to like it. And I told you,
- 13:54I likened it to watching such like gargoyls, dramatics. Everything was just us
- 13:58ever anything stories. You know, these are the kids again, you seven,
- 14:03eight, nine years old watching your stories and these are and to me,
- 14:07they're also like it's I'm saying the jokes about it being so serious,
- 14:11but also to me it was actually really good because it you can claim that
- 14:16they just assume that you would get it, you would learn, like you
- 14:20know how sometimes they infantilize children. And what I mean it like trying to
- 14:24say like even at eight years old, oh you don't understand what love,
- 14:26the concept of love, or the concept of hard concepts that yes they're adult
- 14:30concepts because you may not get the full breadth of it, but just to
- 14:33say that you understand the basics. A lot of times nowadays they dumb it
- 14:37down so much that they was like, oh, this kid is not going
- 14:39to understand it. And I feel like it's not necessarily fair. Kids are
- 14:43smarter than you think, and kids grasp and latch onto concepts much more than
- 14:48people know. So I kind of also like when you have this type of
- 14:52entertainment that just let you want to assume that you understood and if not,
- 14:56you're you just kind of learned about it. And they didn't say, oh,
- 15:00you too young for this. You just they just roll with it.
- 15:03And you can argue whether or not that was a good idea. But I
- 15:05learned a lot. I learned a lot of my relationships and random things.
- 15:09And and me, I would ask the questions too, to parents and stuff
- 15:11like that and older you know, siblings. Yeah. Well see, it's
- 15:16interesting because I had the same I mean same but different, right, because
- 15:18I remember I was exposed to the cartoon that fucked my head up as a
- 15:22kid with Robotech because we would have Robotech on. It would always be on
- 15:28on the weirdest hours everything, but you would catch it and you know,
- 15:31my man, Rick Hunter and what's my man's name, Roy Foker gets murdered,
- 15:37you know what I mean, gets murdered and he's an interracial relationship.
- 15:39His girl's black, and he dies and he's like the hero, you know
- 15:46man as a kid early early, so I had the same and then of
- 15:50course you know the options prime. Catching that hot one was another one for
- 15:54me where you know, my whole heart dropped my chest. Fam robots die
- 15:58every day? No, oh, Fam, no they don't. That was
- 16:02see, that was all right. That was the wild That was a wild
- 16:03difference because like that's men. You know, second episode More catches a hot
- 16:07one dunned off, so you're used to it. Transformers was like three seasons
- 16:11straight no one catches anything, No one, every damn day as no one
- 16:18catches anything. The movie comes out, nigga and ten niggas that you loved
- 16:23catch it in the first twenty minutes. The first time I seen the movie,
- 16:27I was late and I missed half of the niggas got murdered. I
- 16:30sat through the thing and watched it again, not knowing that these niggas were
- 16:33all dying, you know, in the beginning, and that's why I hadn't
- 16:37seen him in the movie. And then when I watched it again, I
- 16:40was like, you know what, ben, I mean that response is why
- 16:42Michael Bay kill Jazz because of you, of how you felt, let's kill
- 16:48somebody you like pop? It was it was way I mean, that was
- 16:52that was cool, but it was way man, It was nothing, my
- 16:56man. I think it's iron hide. He catches a shot to the chest
- 17:00and smoke comes out of his mouth. Nick, that's kind of harsh to
- 17:04see. The nigga's eyes turned red and smoke boars out the nigga's mouth,
- 17:10and he's like, nigga, sit down, and that's it. And this
- 17:15nigga's like, you know, the little art like this, you know,
- 17:18he said, or is Braun I think of broad and smoke comes out of
- 17:19his mouth or then the other niggas like crawling to Megatron's feet and trying to
- 17:25you know something, and he says something about like what a futile jester and
- 17:29then shoots the nigga in the face. See, I like Megatron, So
- 17:32all of the cartage. Megatron is start. Actually, when I was like
- 17:36I said, I started with Beast Wars, and when I was watching that,
- 17:38Starscream was my favorite. So like all the treacheroushit that was happening,
- 17:41I was like, yeah, like, have you seen the Transformers movie?
- 17:47No, okay, you need to watch it. At some point from when
- 17:49the animation holds up, the voice acted is incredible and the Nigga Straws Stream
- 17:52gets turned the dust. Huh yes, no, I screamed, Oh he
- 17:59does, but out and you're very scarred by all of this. No,
- 18:03I was so happy for that one that was. I screamed, of joy,
- 18:07Oh, this is hilarious. The nigga Starstream is getting coronated as the
- 18:11new king of the Decepticons, and Megatron, who's been turned to Galvtron,
- 18:15rolls up, you know, to the ceremony, flies up, transforms,
- 18:19lands in front of him and says, well, what it is this coronation?
- 18:23Spare me, spare me this mockery of a coronation or this mockery of
- 18:27something, and Starstreams, just like Megatron, is that you? Nigga says,
- 18:33here's a hint, turns into the gun and turns this nigga. Oh,
- 18:38he turns he galvtran you know is a cannon. Yeah, he transforms
- 18:45into a cannon. So he's like, here's a hint, transforms into the
- 18:48big can yeah, and shoots his Nigga starstream and startream turns to dust.
- 18:53Nigga, can you imagine like in the theater, you know what I mean?
- 18:57Andrea dies every I don't know, but see if this ar I used
- 19:02to none of that ship and it's is it Leonard Nimoy who's doing the voice
- 19:04at Galvatron? Yeah, like you know, it's amazing. Yeah, fucking
- 19:11what's his name? Orson Wells is Galvatron. It's like his last role.
- 19:15I mean, not Galvatron, a Unicron the big planet, Okay, but
- 19:18yeah, Leonard Nimoy is Galvatron and he's destroying it. Like here's a hint.
- 19:22It's fucking hilarious, nigga, Like you watch that on YouTube after after
- 19:27the you know, when we go to break baby, it's just common that
- 19:30here's a hint. Is like one of the funniest lines ever. Like Magga
- 19:34said, Magatron is that you here's a hint. Like, no, I
- 19:37don't think it's gonna hit, but it's not gonna hit the same way.
- 19:40I mean, I'm gonna laugh at everything. But I laughed Nigga. I
- 19:42cried, there's the funny ship. Ever, Nigga said, here's a hint
- 19:47and blows this nigga the dust and then stands up and it's like anyone else
- 19:49out anything to say, and they're like, what's his name again? Listen.
- 19:52That's why I say, you can question the the the strength, not
- 19:56even a straight you can question if it's right to I have children watch stuff
- 20:00like this, but it's also just like certain concepts I like, I just
- 20:04appreciate it. And maybe because I was also reading at a very high level
- 20:07of ways I was reading. I was reading Tava Butler and stuff like that.
- 20:11So watching stuff like that, I was just like, you know,
- 20:14it was it was just it was good for me. It was good for
- 20:15me, like ten, you know, twelve, it was all bad for
- 20:19me. But I'm saying that's really bad, but it was amazing, you
- 20:22know, come on all that to say we are excited. I know they
- 20:30a lot of the there's a lot of returning voice actors right from the original
- 20:33y Wolverine sounded different, though Side clapped something they got a new cat because
- 20:37everybody was hyped over here to me my X Men, But yeah, that
- 20:41he sounds a little different but close enough to original voice where I didn't really
- 20:45I didn't really detect anything wrong. I detected something off with Wolverine, And
- 20:52when I say off, I just mean off from my memory of what he
- 20:55sounded like. I've been watching it again, but I once because by the
- 20:57time this comes up, my watch the whole thing, so I'll have a
- 21:02different view of it. The animation difference for the immediately throwing me off,
- 21:04especially because I've just been watching an old one and it's a marked difference of
- 21:10improvement. And I have to get used to the new style because I'm used
- 21:12to the old style, and I like the old style, but I also
- 21:15like I like the new too, So we'll see. How do you feel
- 21:18about it being more mohawk Come baby, come on? This is like you
- 21:26want to talk about your childhood and you like, I was in love with
- 21:30Jean Gray, but when I saw mohawks Storm, it was like, oh
- 21:33see, my childhood is long hairstorm God, mohart storm is life. I'm
- 21:40used to flowing tresses. No, I'm used to silk pressed storms, Mohart
- 21:45Storm showing up and Kitty being all mad like a little bitch. Oh my
- 21:48god, Yeah, it's hilarious. Mohart Storm shows up and Kitty is all
- 21:52like, how could you do it? You know, like how could you
- 21:55cut your hand? I wonder if Jubilee is gonna be just as one and
- 22:00too, she's gonna be just as annoying because she was wild annoying to me.
- 22:03You know, she becomes a vampire in the comics at one point.
- 22:06Damn, that's fucked up. I want to know are they going to do
- 22:10crow up? Could they? Why is one of the few Asian X men
- 22:14turn into a vampire? No? No, I mean the main ones that
- 22:18I would see on a regular daily basis on the show. How they they
- 22:21turn her to a vampire? Well, she also has a child who eventually
- 22:23becomes a dragon. You know, if you want to there is you know,
- 22:26all right, life like life be life in the edge men turn into
- 22:34a vampire is pretty you know, low on the list. You can't be
- 22:38like, oh my god, they did the Asian handle wrong. They just
- 22:41take L's in the min family has died like several times now, equal opportunity.
- 22:45LS understand you know, I feel a little better. I guess her
- 22:49child was a dragon at one point. A pressure for everyone. They're mutants.
- 22:55It's a hard not life, you know. Play the song the base
- 23:00out listen and more and more Marvel News. On Valentine's Day, they released
- 23:06some imagery some some really cool drawings do I liked it of the new cast
- 23:11of Marvel's first family, the Fantastic Four. So leading the cast is Read
- 23:15Richards. We have Pedro Pascal, our boy uh the Mandalorian. We also
- 23:21have Vanessa Kirby who will be sus Storm. Vanessa Kirby, she plays one
- 23:26of my favorite characters, Alana in Mission Impossible. I just like how she
- 23:30moves in that. We also have we also have Joseph Quinn from Stranger Things.
- 23:33He's gonna be Johnny Storm, Human Toyage young Robert Downey Jr. Yeah,
- 23:38and this I love this cast thing. I was like, holy shit,
- 23:41this makes so much sense. Evan or Evon Moss Backrock he is going
- 23:47to be Ben Grimm, the Thing, cousin from Cousin from the Bear.
- 23:51Like that does that not make the most fucking sense in the world. It's
- 23:55funny because that's the thing, like whenever people say who would you cast,
- 23:57I'm never the one to be like, oh, this person, that person.
- 24:00But Marvel has great casting, and this is I'm like ninety percent all
- 24:04the way with it. And yeah, I mean I love that nigga.
- 24:07Like the Foks episode of The Bear is one of my favorite episodes of television
- 24:11of all time. He's one of my favorite characters of all time. His
- 24:15growth, Like I'm about tier just talking about him, like his growth and
- 24:18his acting. He's also has a quick arc on the first season and and
- 24:23Or, so that's I know, I've seen him in something else before all
- 24:26this, but that's why I first started watching him. And his arc on
- 24:30and Or is that of a bastard. So it took me a second to
- 24:33even start liking him on Bear because he's so good as a bastard. Yeah
- 24:37on Bear, But then he became like on BEARR he's one of my favorite
- 24:40people ever. Yeah, exactly exactly. But I agree with you, they
- 24:44just did extremely well. I mean, I'm happy about all the casting.
- 24:47I think it works, but I'm really particularly happy about the thing. And
- 24:52you know, I actually you know, back in the with the earlier two
- 24:55thousands, like I like Michael Chickliss as the thing. I actually really I
- 25:00like most of that cast. So did you like at the time before he
- 25:03was Captain America you liked? Yes, I thought he was hilarious. He's
- 25:10like the fire, It's like this but all over. Chris Evans was so
- 25:17good. Yeah, Jordan, Oh, Chris Evans, No, no question,
- 25:19And not that I don't like Michael Jordan. Chris He's like, it's
- 25:22like this but all over. That line always lives in my head when he
- 25:26did that ship, that ship is so good. Like you like Jessica Alba.
- 25:30I didn't mind her, honestly, you know what I mean, Like
- 25:33I didn't mind the movies in general. She wasn't the mass you know,
- 25:37it's just an album. But you know, the blue eyes were throwing me
- 25:41off. You know. I liked her about as much as I like Ian
- 25:45Gruffled as mister Fantastic. And I'm looking I'm looking at the cast now and
- 25:48then this is crazy for my people, my nigga from Nip Tuck, remember,
- 25:52yeah, Julian, Yeah, yeah, I like him as doctor Dude.
- 25:57Now, the one with Michael B. Jordan gets hated on so much.
- 26:02But I actually thought that movie was really dope up until they get their
- 26:07powers and then it's a hot mess. But like the way they showed them
- 26:11is like this, they were younger, but they were still a family at
- 26:12school and like how Doctor Doom was integrated with that crew at school was really
- 26:18dope to me. And then they get their powers, it's a hot mess.
- 26:21After that. That was Miles Teller's read. K assued Michael Bias Johnny
- 26:26and then Jamie Bell as Bengram but what's his name? As ben Gram punk
- 26:30kits Doctor Doom into the portal at the end of it. End. I
- 26:33don't even remember this nigga. This nigga dropped kits this nigga Doctor Doom like
- 26:38grabs him and like like punk him, like he him through. No but
- 26:42dead ass, do not remember that film? I remember Chris Chris eppins one,
- 26:48Michael chickles in them and nigga pumps him. Donk They did remember they
- 26:53did two in a fit of one with Michael Chicklin's that's why you remember that?
- 26:56Oh yeah, because they had the second with Lawrence fish Burn is Silver
- 27:00Surfer. Oh funny fun fact, another old school fan brose fact. We
- 27:04actually interviewed Michael Chickliss I missed that one too, We fucking did. Yeah,
- 27:11I damn sure, are you When I'm doing these cool ass interviews,
- 27:14you always did myself back there. So okay, but but yeah, so
- 27:18so they released again, they released the cast. We're happy with it.
- 27:22What what's going on with the phase now? Is everything going to be driving
- 27:26towards this? I mean, we're also doing this whole thing with Deadpool.
- 27:30The super Bowl spot came out, like yeah, okay, we can talk
- 27:34about all that. There's a lot of interesting rumors, right. One of
- 27:37the dead Pole trailer has which is leads into one of the rumors at the
- 27:41end of the Deadpool trailer when wolver Ring walks up on him and it's about
- 27:45and he's like, give me a hand, and he pops on him.
- 27:48There is there's an issue. There's a comic book issue lying on the ground
- 27:52next to Deadpool, and of course the Internet is already figured out what it
- 27:53is. It's Secret Wars number five and that is from the most recent Secret
- 28:00War series. All right, now, very quick and short, as short
- 28:03as I can make this. There are two main Secret Wars comics series,
- 28:07right, okay. The first one comes out sometime in the eighties and it's
- 28:11the one of the first big crossovers ever from a comba book company and from
- 28:15Marvel, it's definitely one of their first. So it's a twelve issue series
- 28:19of where all these heroes and all these villains in issue one get transported from
- 28:26Earth to this planet battle World, which is comprised of all these other different
- 28:30planets, and this being the Beyonder who says, I come from Beyond.
- 28:36If you kill all your enemies, I'll grant you any wish. And you
- 28:41know, he just he shows that he has the power to do this by
- 28:42creating this world bringing them all here. Boom. So they're all there,
- 28:47Galatus is there, all these villains, all these heroes, Doom, the
- 28:51X Men, Magneto, Captain America, some of the Avengers, all Fantastic
- 28:55Four, Iron Man, all these cats. And it's basically a twelve issue
- 28:57fight. You know, they fight for twelve ish shoes, a lot of
- 29:00dope. Yeah, go ahead, what up? Continue. I was just
- 29:04gonna say, how's this fight happening when you have like Galactus level of people,
- 29:10because the Lattics is like, funk all that I know exactly how I'll
- 29:12get rid of these niggas, I'll eat the planet. So he just so
- 29:15he just goes to eating the planet. So he's like building the machines to
- 29:18eat the planet. While these niggas building machine it's not an instant thing for
- 29:23Galactus. It's never That's why I was like, how does that happen?
- 29:29But yeah, but then it's it's a it's a it's a great series,
- 29:32Like you know, it's you should anyone picking up you should pick it up.
- 29:34It's a great series because all kinds of wild should happens, like Doom
- 29:38steals the Lattis's power when he's trying to eat the planet and then gets goes
- 29:45to fight the Beyonder and then eventually steals the Beyonders power, destroys all the
- 29:51It's but it's dope, so that is probably not Yeah, but that's probably
- 29:55not exactly what they're the one they're going to. So not the eighties one.
- 30:00Yeah, I think they might integrate some of it, but are now
- 30:06longer and shorter story. And there's a more recent one from the two thousands,
- 30:10mainly written by Jonathan Hitman, you know, one of our faves over
- 30:12here, and he did this long run where he was doing Fantastic Forward,
- 30:15then he did Avengers and all this shit led up to his version of Secret
- 30:19Wars. And his version of Secret Wars, different realities are crashing into each
- 30:25other what they call incursions. They mentioned this in the Doctor Strange movie,
- 30:29yes they did, yep. And so it's like these different realities of the
- 30:32multiverse start crashing into each other instead of existing in their own space. And
- 30:37so because of that, when one when they two crash into each other,
- 30:40only one exists. So the Illuminati, who are like this secret organization of
- 30:45people like Professor That's yeah, who we also saw in that same movie,
- 30:51they get together and try and stop these incursions, for they're the first to
- 30:53know about it. Eventually, you know, everyone finds out and it becomes
- 30:56this war to save reality based with Doing them on one side, and the
- 31:03Fantastic and read Richards. That's the whole battle. Like the whole thing amounts
- 31:07to a philosophical debate between Red and Doing, which is why I think they'll
- 31:11incorporate both of them, because this one gets more mind and philosophical, like
- 31:15Reid says everything lives and Doom says everything dies. Like that's how it starts.
- 31:21It starts with Doom saying everything dies, but that's not what it's.
- 31:25You know, Reid says everything lives. You know, first, yes,
- 31:27everything dies, but everything Yeah, And so that's the whole debate. That's
- 31:33I don't know how they can put that on screen. They do some philosophicals,
- 31:37I mean, they could do that in those series words itself is some
- 31:41ship. Yeah. I think they'll. I think they'll have those lines.
- 31:44But so anyway, with Deadpool and this cover from that series, which that
- 31:48issue actually evolves the Molecule Man and doctor Doom, like that's one of the
- 31:52and the Molecule Man is another big player in this whole thing. I'm not
- 31:56even taking his playing time, that's playing him or any of that shit.
- 31:59Just know the name. So Doom is on that cover, and so because
- 32:01of that, people are saying the Doom might show up in Deadpool, there
- 32:05might be some more hints to him or something, which leads to the other
- 32:07rumor. Because of the whole reshuffling with Majors being out and it no longer
- 32:13being the Kane Dynasty, people are the one rumor is that it might be
- 32:15Avenger versus x Men, which would be a way to bring in the X
- 32:20Men and have the X Men coming from another reality, which is happening in
- 32:24the Marvels where they're fighting to save their reality. And then we might see
- 32:29some of this in Deadpool because Deadpool is going through the Fox Universe and all
- 32:32these other multiverses. So that might be why the TV is even recruiting him
- 32:37to start the shit off that will eventually see come to Form and Secret Wars,
- 32:40and then after Secret Wars, the whole thing is rebooted into one reality.
- 32:45And the X Men have always been part of the MCU. Boom boom
- 32:47boom, boom boom. So that's one rumor that's out there right now which
- 32:52I think would be dope. Like if they announce Avenger versus X Men,
- 32:54it's you know, the niggas is slipping tables, you know, the roof
- 32:59is doing you know, you thought this Deadpool announcement was saving the MCU,
- 33:02Like you said, I'm MCU Jesus like Avengers versus f mind, that's like
- 33:07Marvels just come in and you know, oh my god, you know coming
- 33:09with the steel chair, you know that's what like, yes, yeah,
- 33:14that's a big dog move. Well, you know, I'm also thinking about
- 33:17this whole thing because they still have not yet cast Doctor Doom. And interestingly,
- 33:23yeah, Ben Metals Mendelson, who played t Tayloson, you know,
- 33:29you know Tailos, the kun he got, he got unalive uh in Secret
- 33:34Invasion. He says, quote he would almost give his eyes and teeth to
- 33:37play that villain to be recast as doctor Doom. I don't see it happening.
- 33:43I mean, you would be great, but you also you know,
- 33:49yeah, and then it said John Carlo Esposito. He also said he hasn't
- 33:52interested in playing that role. That would be insane. But but that's another
- 33:58pusson. That's another one. I'm supposed the Eastern European and people are just
- 34:01you know people. I mean, he doesn't have to be Eastern US,
- 34:04but he doesn't. He could literally be anything else. Well, I mean
- 34:08that's you know, part of him is running the country of Latin Area,
- 34:12which is also a made up country. Yeah, he can be black in
- 34:15Eastern Europe of a country like it doesn't matter, you know what I'm saying.
- 34:20It's not like like is there some is there some like German ship that
- 34:22he's doing all the time that he needs to be known as Germans. So
- 34:25that's what I'm saying, like no, you know, like no, it's
- 34:30some Austrian shit he's doing all the time, like that casting that old and
- 34:32that you might have vuggled with you know, what's his name, Ben Mendelsohn.
- 34:36But they're not going to redo it because he's already known as Kalos and
- 34:39yeh, I don't yeah, I don't know. They're gonna go, as
- 34:42you said, that old, but they aren't necessarily going to go young either,
- 34:45like cast are Fantastic four, they're grown ass men and women. So
- 34:49and that's the thing I was really hoping for my man from who's now in
- 34:53Saltburn, my man from Euphoria, Oh, the old yeah, the one
- 34:58that plays U guys, the one who yeah, the one who just hosted
- 35:01s n L E Lordy Jacob e lord Yeah. I was really hoping for
- 35:07him. But he's too young to be a you know, why is the
- 35:10Lordy too young to be doing he'll be he'd be insane. But but he's
- 35:15too young to be reads homie. You know, That's the thing. Read
- 35:19and him were exposed to growing up together pretty much. They went to college
- 35:21together, et cetera. Like that's you know, they're they've known each other
- 35:24forever. That's the whole beata. Let me see this picture this but the
- 35:30nigga that plays that's uh Joseph Quinn looks kind of don't look that look old
- 35:35bro. What do you mean. No, no, not Johnny Storms,
- 35:37Homie Read, Oh yeah, Pedro Pascal. Yeah they switch that maybe well
- 35:45no, they no, that's their beef. Yeah, the beef is the
- 35:49beef is always doomed thinking he's smarter than Read and Read just being reading.
- 35:53Yeah, I'm the man, and you're an asshole. You know, that's
- 35:57what it really is. You know, Reader is trying to asshole himself.
- 35:59Well, then then it could be somebody. It just it has to be
- 36:01someone in between. Yeah, someone who looks a little older. Yeah,
- 36:07that's all. You know. When they were casting, I've been saying Jacob
- 36:09for the longest, and I was hoping they were going to go a little
- 36:12younger with the fant of the forecast. Yeah, well they figured all these
- 36:15years they did younger cast. They said, fuck that, we're going in
- 36:16the opposite direction. Like I mean, they've been doing older cast. So
- 36:20Robert Downard Junior ancient you know, No, I'm talking about for Fantastic four,
- 36:22all of our previous ones, generally speaking with the chickless and stuff,
- 36:27like they were younger. I think, just a little older. That man
- 36:30might have been thirty five. Facts. I love him, but he just
- 36:35you know what I mean, certainly, you know he got more than Freeman
- 36:37Fast, you know, like look, you know certain cats got it,
- 36:43James almost you know a lot of cats, you know, you know over
- 36:46in face since you're like twenty eight, all right, we gotta we gotta
- 36:50figure that out. But okay, that's interesting too. About the rumors,
- 36:53Yeah, they're definitely path They have several pathways. I guess the general point
- 36:58is they have several pathways make this work. And they've already opened up so
- 37:00many doors. Like yeah, and with fantastic story. I mean, Avengers
- 37:06could be you know, I don't, I don't, I don't know Avengers
- 37:07at this that's not really a story, but that you know, and then
- 37:10you have Secret Wars. I mean, so Avengers versus X Men would be
- 37:15a dope way to get you the Avengers, you know at Secret Wars Like
- 37:21that would be you know, because that would start off the whole multiversal battle,
- 37:23and then you have the big you know, then the X Men and
- 37:27the Avengers come together for secret wars to battle whatever you know, do them
- 37:31or whoever, and you know you got something there. I think that,
- 37:35you know, I think that's only it just means that you have to cast
- 37:37all these X men very soon, and I think push up the but they
- 37:42seem to already be pushing up everything with fantastic forward, like well that's that
- 37:45was already coming, but it's like now it's like coming, nigga, you
- 37:50know. Okay. So yeah, on the other spectrum of Marvel Films or
- 37:55really, Sony, we have your girl, Madam Webb, And unsurprisingly it
- 38:04got some well not always scathing, but interesting reviews. I'll just read this
- 38:09first one that says Madam Webb is one of the worst superhero movie in years
- 38:13and enjoyable so had you in the first half type but they said the most
- 38:19enjoyable and then interesting love Interestingly enough, shout out to Charles Pulliamore. He
- 38:27wrote on The Verge. He wrote that it's like purposefully camp like he said,
- 38:32like it's bad, and he just said it's bad, but it's also
- 38:35personally camp like it hearkens back to. Because the film takes place in two
- 38:38thousand and three, so harkens back to that time. And when you think
- 38:40about it, the superhero films that came out in that time, they're known
- 38:44as classics now, but in hindsight, when you compare it to the type
- 38:46of storytelling you have now, they were not that good. But they're considered
- 38:51cult classics, right. And they said that Madam Webb is the whole thing
- 38:55tracks like it's trying to be a cult classic. Yeah, I think I'll
- 39:00be honest show. I feel like there's been a lot of covering for the
- 39:05Coda Johnson in the press for some reason, and it bugs me out because
- 39:09I don't get it. And I've also read a lot of I've read whole
- 39:13reviews where they basically this ain't it, you know, So I knew that.
- 39:17Yeah, And I think you can't call things camp, you know,
- 39:21they had to become camp, and you can't try and make things a cult
- 39:23classic. They had to become a cult classic. Agree. And a lot
- 39:27of those films from the two thousands just aren't good, Like Daredevil Electra there's
- 39:30a lot of trash. It's not good, but because it has nostalgias factor,
- 39:35people like oh those were the days, like and they meaning kind of
- 39:38in a tongue of cheek ways, but they're also kind of serious. And
- 39:40that's the only at least at least from a from a review standpoint, that's
- 39:45the only saving grace this movie has had. But it has a fourteen percent
- 39:50rating, a fourteen percent reviewer rating on gorotten to Mails, and like fifty
- 39:54six percent audience, So I already knew. I mean, honestly, I
- 40:00don't know how anyone saw the trailer and thought seriously and like like, it's
- 40:05a very un serious trailer trailers, and for me, it just immediately gave
- 40:12I am going to be a terrible movie for me. I don't know what
- 40:15the rest of y'all saw, who thought, oh this could be good,
- 40:19because it was giving me Morbius light and I don't want anything to be related
- 40:24to morevious, So that little bit of relation alone was enough to put me
- 40:28off. Like, I don't know about this one. What I have given
- 40:30a chance, sure, but it's kind of like I told you, so,
- 40:35I don't know. Yeah, No, I wouldn't have given this a
- 40:37chance. No, I'm good, like I said, I've been. I've
- 40:42been feeling this whole da Coda Johnson cover up for a minute, I'm not
- 40:45getting it. She's gonna have to do better this. And I really don't
- 40:49like when people do things like they do a movie and then afterwards they come
- 40:52out to talk about how the script was changed so much from what they started
- 40:55with, Like you knew this shit wasn't good. I don't do that and
- 40:59don't and don't know the other creatives under the bus, you know, hold
- 41:02that out. You saw this just didn't work out right? Your mortgage money,
- 41:07Like yeah, don't don't do that. Don't do that. And that's
- 41:09why that's why I've turned a really funny like whatever to this and these reviews
- 41:14that are trying to be like no, it's you know, no, no,
- 41:16no, call what it is. Fam y'all want, you know,
- 41:19because people want as us and that's the other side of it, you know,
- 41:21And I'm like, nah, man, y'all missed you. I would
- 41:24like to venture see because like I talked about last week, I do love
- 41:28I mean, I've never seen more of it's more than once than I dit
- 41:30I will. But I did enjoy the venom joints, you know what I
- 41:32mean? That was my isn't it I that's like as as good bad as
- 41:37venom was like, I actually would mess with it, like if you gotta
- 41:39watch this again, I'm like, all right, Like I wouldn't feel bad
- 41:42about it. If someone said you gotta watch more vis again, I'd be
- 41:45like, nigga, why so that's how I feel. But what I mean,
- 41:51I watched. If I could see it for free, I watch it.
- 41:53I'm not paying for it, hm hm him moving on to something that
- 42:02I would pay for is a Dune two. Yeah, I wanted you to
- 42:06hear you because it premiered and I went, I mean, you told me
- 42:09over and over again, I gotta watch the first Dune is incredible, this
- 42:13that and the third. Now Doom Tone Doom Toune Doom too is out.
- 42:19And first of all, what part of the book or books is this based
- 42:22on or is this some other shit? Like, give me some more understanding
- 42:25of what done Tune is supposed to be about. I can't do, honestly,
- 42:29because I'm not that big a book fan. I can tell you that
- 42:30this is there are From what I do understand, I think the first two
- 42:36or three books are written by the original author and then his son did the
- 42:39one after that, so he gets a little off brand after that. But
- 42:43what the story they are telling is the story of a trade's is Paul the
- 42:45trades the and like I've talked about on the other episodes, he's a Messiah
- 42:51type figure. But what I found very interesting in why I like the first
- 42:54done so much, is it definitely hinted at the idea is that he is
- 42:59a plant to Messiah and that his whole religion and everything that he's part of
- 43:04is false. And so I want to see how they explore that more in
- 43:07this one. And I just thought the first one was beautifully shot, you
- 43:10know, the production, everything, all the acting, it gets, and
- 43:15this is, like, dude, is a really great story that a lot
- 43:16of other sci fi is based off or has taken stuff from. It's also
- 43:22as people like LEXI talked about all our show, Alexi, Alexander, and
- 43:27as you know, Diaz spoke about it also literally you know literally takes you
- 43:30know, indigenous cultures and uses them. So that's why you know, it
- 43:35got a lot of flavor as well. So I really did enjoy the first
- 43:38one a lot more than I thought I would, Like, I'm about to
- 43:42rewatch it before this well, before I can see the second one. Is
- 43:45it like three hours? Yeah, it's solid, but it's one of them.
- 43:47You know, it's an epic film. You know it deserves it's time,
- 43:51like it's not time wasted and ship the shit is dope, not so
- 43:54three hours not wasted. No, I loved it, like I'll watch it
- 43:58again. I can't wait to see it, and I can't wait to see
- 43:59this same when I like, I was not that hype about it, like
- 44:01I was. I've never watched it. I've tried to watch the original doing
- 44:06and you know, usually just fell asleep on it or whatever. It just
- 44:07never held me. And knowing some of the bad story behind this, like
- 44:12how they did shoot in certain countries but didn't hire people there, and so
- 44:15I was kind of like, eh, fuck these dudes. But then you
- 44:19know this on HBO Max, and I'm like, let me peep this because
- 44:21everyone's talking about it. Chico Leo raves about it. A lot of people
- 44:24rave about how great this film is. So I had to peep it in.
- 44:28I was like, it's pretty solid, Damn. I enjoyed that.
- 44:31Joe, Yeah, especially when his mom starts throwing him a fake massign and
- 44:37all that shit. That shit was great. Always his own mom's well,
- 44:40his mom is part of She doesn't call him that, but she's part of
- 44:45the religion that's planted on this planet. And you know, she knows this,
- 44:52the Geneveseret, and so she's you know, like, yeah, she's
- 44:54complicit. It's a it's a very interesting story. Wow. Yeah, it's
- 45:00a very intan story. That's crazy. Yeah, your own moms like,
- 45:05yeah, roughly, it's a rough life, that's what I mean. Like
- 45:08and it's that's what I say. It's very like. And I wasn't the
- 45:12biggest Timothy Chalamette fan, but he's great in it. You know, he's
- 45:15incredible. My girl doesn't get as much burned in the first one, but
- 45:20I know she's all over the second one, and she's great and the little
- 45:22time she does having it. His mom is fan fucking tastic. Oh my
- 45:27god, that woman playing his mom is so good. And you know,
- 45:30so many people in it. What's his name is really good in it.
- 45:34Uh, Jason Momoa is really good in it. Than O's your man.
- 45:37Thanos Brolin's up in there. You know, he's great. It's you know,
- 45:40it's a the I mean, the set design, the production is incredible,
- 45:45just beautiful ship costume, it looks amazing. I will say, but
- 45:52the story and the add thing, everything else is right there with it,
- 45:54and I can't wait to see the second one. So I love and she
- 46:00build in that vintage muglair tonight so yesterday, so yeah, okay another,
- 46:07yeah, okay, okay, she eats eats right ahead, and I'll just
- 46:15say it's time for a quick break, you know, and then we'll be

- 48:06us as always, and you know, before we get out here, we
- 48:09still got a little bit more to talk about. I really do want to
- 48:13talk about this Invincible season two trailer. Yeah about that or season two second
- 48:22half trailer, which I feel like they're gonna piss me off, all right,
- 48:28they off? I feel it. As an avid comic reader of Invincible,
- 48:30it's one of my favorite comments. Were talking about this all the time,
- 48:34and I've even said this before I felt like that there is a logical
- 48:37endpoint to the season with as much as we've seen so far, that while
- 48:42I thought was logical and also a huge cliffinger, I think it'll piss people
- 48:45off. And this trailer really hints at that moment. There at the very
- 48:52end of the trailer, you hear in Invincible saying I'm sorry. And that's
- 48:58a line from this s in the comic that I've referred to before. It
- 49:01I'm not gonna spoil right now, but it's a line that he says,
- 49:05is straight out of his mouth, I'm sorry. And there's another line that
- 49:07follows that, and that is it's a huge cliffhanger. And even in the
- 49:14comic it was devastating and you only had to wait a month to see what
- 49:15happened to him. So if they do that at the end of the season
- 49:19and we got to wear like six seven months, I hope they don't.
- 49:22I'm hoping somehow. Do you think it's gonna be like years wait, like
- 49:25we waited two and a half years. Yeah, no, I don't think
- 49:28so. I don't think they'll do that. And one they're like, they
- 49:30bought a studio in Japan, so they can crank out, stripe out.
- 49:34Yeah, they're invincible, is you know, high priority now. So I
- 49:37think the next season will be out by the end of this year the latest.
- 49:42But I think that's still a long time to wait. Man, if
- 49:45they do, but I think they're going to do, especially when there's I
- 49:49like, I just hope they do that scene and then do the follow up
- 49:52scene before the end, you know, like, don't do that, Like
- 49:55yeah, I mean like Engstrom, Levy or Levy he who's coming back.
- 50:00Yep, he's a big part of that. But I'm talking about Oh my
- 50:05god, I already feel it, Like I just he was a big part
- 50:07of that and that and like I said, him coming back and then that
- 50:10I'm sorry line made me like yeah, so the secrets are back as well.
- 50:15And in that quick scene you see them all over Adam, Eve and
- 50:17another person and they say that lines we told you we were too powerful,
- 50:22right, So that's a whole other thing. And I was like these niggas
- 50:25again, like, well then we never really got rid of them in the
- 50:29first place. I remember, because that was that one that's been here this
- 50:31whole time. And that's the problem with there's one of them, Like when
- 50:35you said, who is that talking? That's all of them talking talking,
- 50:37unified mind, right, And that's the thing. If one of them,
- 50:40if they get connected while they're with the Martians, they can't connect. But
- 50:45once humans did next to them, they can connect. And once they can
- 50:47connect, that's when they become a problem. Yeah, we saw what we
- 50:51saw how like how where they came from, where they took over before.
- 50:53Yeah, so there were a slave race before that. I mean they were,
- 50:57they were powerful, and then Martians made them a slave race. But
- 50:59they couldn't connect to them. And the Martians can transform. But when humans
- 51:02they connect, and that's a rap and there it is, and so that
- 51:07there, you know, And that's another one that's storrow. You know.
- 51:09That's just like that's all he does is repurposed concepts, like that's you know,
- 51:14the second the Sorrow. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, Yeah.
- 51:19It's just I love this show so so so much, and it's just like
- 51:22it's I already know, like I feel I'm already aggravated, like because I
- 51:27just know, like like you said, they're gonna bring it to a point
- 51:30where it's just like and we're gonna keep you holding you here for several months
- 51:35on end, and you're just gonna have to deal with it. Yeah,
- 51:37And in the age of like getting shit immediately, it's just like, ah,
- 51:42yeah. I just hope next season is longer than this because it's a
- 51:47lot to get through and I want them to get through this show. I
- 51:51don't want them to rush through it. This is supposed to be the second
- 51:54season. I think there's four more, like there were before. I think
- 51:57it's eight total, right, I mean, because this is so this season
- 52:00two. This is gonna debut March fourteenth, which is my brother's birthday.
- 52:05But yeah, but how many episodes? Oh, I think that's my nephew's
- 52:09birthday, Is it really yep? So what are you saying this that's coming
- 52:14out? It's only four episodes. It's tramp in eight episodes, right,
- 52:17Yeah, I think so, because it was four before. I think it's
- 52:20eight. I would assume total. You mean, yes, God, so
- 52:24we got four more. That's what I mean. With the amount of time,
- 52:28like we were talking about, with the amount of real estate they have
- 52:30left. The logical endpoint is this cliffhanger that they did in the book that
- 52:34was the end of an issue, that was the end of a very big
- 52:37moment and because of that, I feel like that would be the logical endpoint
- 52:39right here. You know, that was one of his best cliffhangers. That's
- 52:45like one of them cliffhangers, and the way they alluded to it in the
- 52:47trailer just really makes me like, oh, they're doing that. You know
- 52:52that. I'm sorry at the end of the trailer makes me like, that's
- 52:53how you end the season? Yeah, and yes, there will be eight
- 52:58episodes total. Sod you say, we saw that's only me it's only four
- 53:00left. Yeah, right now is gonna lead to that point? You're there's
- 53:05a lot that's gonna happen, Like you said, the sequids, there's a
- 53:07lot of stuff with uh, his dad and the Phils, he's on trial
- 53:15and all that ship. We get to see. There's a quick shot of
- 53:17this dude on this bike shooting this ray gun. I can't remember his name,
- 53:22but he's basically this space rider. You you're probably I think you're gonna
- 53:25see the issue where Mark. I mean, that's not the issue, but
- 53:29the episode where Mark reads his father's books, and because of that, you
- 53:32get to see all these different alien characters and stuff that will show up later
- 53:36on Space Racer. I think his name is. He's got a gun that
- 53:38when he shoots it, the beam just teams going like it does you know,
- 53:43it'll go through anything for beam shit yees on some straight Omega beam ship
- 53:47like forever. Yeah. So he's an ill character who plays a big part
- 53:52later. There's these monsters that show up that I think we'll get to see.
- 53:55There's a lot that you're gonna yet to see. But then there's gonna
- 53:59be a big But that's the thing Invincible is built. I mean, Kurtman.
- 54:02One of his great strengths as a writer is his cliffhangers. So no
- 54:07matter how the end the season, it's going to end on some what the
- 54:09fuck I need in that season because he does that so many times. Like
- 54:14there are so many issues of Invincible where I was like, damn near clutching
- 54:19the issue in my hand after I finished it because I was so mad that
- 54:22I didn't have a net that you have you go, Kirk mad, yo
- 54:24know there not this one. There is something later on where I wanted to
- 54:30kill I was so tight at the end of the year. I mean it's
- 54:34it's it's like season three or four, you know, but I was disgusted
- 54:39And then he fixed it into that's issue. So I was, you know,
- 54:42good, but I was, oh my god, it was such a
- 54:45so he does it, you know, And there's several other ones I can
- 54:47point through where are like, ooh that was a great ending. Ooh ooh,
- 54:51that could be an end of the season right there. You know.
- 54:52So there's so many moments. Yeah, but I feel like I know where
- 54:58they're headed to for this one, and it's going to break people's heart.
- 55:00It's not. It should be one of the ones like Godden to be King,
- 55:05it's to be like that. Yeah, there's definitely gonna be that.
- 55:08God man. Yeah, it's definitely gonna be that. Motherfucker is gonna be
- 55:13tight waiting for this hell boy. Okay, well, you know what,
- 55:17it's a good series and I'm gonna be mad, but whatever, I'm gonna
- 55:20keep watching. It is what it is. Yeah. Oh yeah, I'm
- 55:22all over. It doesn't matter what they Yeah. Its like with the book,
- 55:24I was all over. I said I wouldn't. It's like with like
- 55:27Kirtman is that good of a writer? When I was reading Walking There,
- 55:30when I was reading Invincible, there were several times in both of those books
- 55:34for I'm never reading another issue, Fuck this, dude, And then I
- 55:37read them all to the end, walking there. I've I stemmed through like
- 55:40the last ten or so issues. But you know, because it's too intriguing.
- 55:45You can't just stop. Who cares about how you mad? You mad?
- 55:49Who cares? Let's keep reading, let's keep watching, like, let's
- 55:52get to where we need to get. Like, I mean, this is
- 55:54no longer spoiler because we're way pasting in the show and in the but but
- 55:59in the comics are walking dead? Uh, what's his name? What's Carl's
- 56:04mom's name? I can't remember her name. She gets killed and it's horrible,
- 56:08and she gets killed with the baby, like the baby gets killed.
- 56:14Yeah, and so it's yeah, and she's not some evil woman like she
- 56:19was in the show. They really played her character in the show, you
- 56:21know, you really get to know her and understand why she was with Shane
- 56:24and all that and all this ship. And so it's a devastating moment in
- 56:28the comics, and I was like, oh, fuck this book, like
- 56:30you just kill the baby, Like, fuck this book, you know what
- 56:32I mean? But I kept reading, kept reading, and then when they
- 56:37murdered Glenn in the book, I was like fuck this book. That was
- 56:39pretty much it for me, though, I can't lie, and I was
- 56:42just tired of the grossness and everything. And yeah, he got the thickest
- 56:46plot armor you can ever imagine for a character in the show. And then
- 56:50he and then he got murket still and that's when I was done with the
- 56:54show again. Like I was like, all right, y'all, you know,
- 56:57I was kind of done with the way he did not die, as
- 57:00like Nick ain't no way, but that's notither here nor there, okay.
- 57:04Yeah, and then also finally the Vince Staples show that dropped today, right,
- 57:09yep, that dropped today. First of all, Vince Staples wins.
- 57:15He can do no fucking wrong. The man is incredibly talented. He's fucking
- 57:19hilarious so far, I mean so far. You know, hey, you're
- 57:22right, so far as it stands, you know, February twenty twenty four,
- 57:30he's he's he's good in my book. So you know, I fuck
- 57:34with him. I fuck with his creative creations and things like that. And
- 57:37you know, a lot of people have been starting to watch the show.
- 57:38I know you started expectedly. People are like liking in it to like Atlanta
- 57:45and Dave and things like that, and it does have that vibe. I
- 57:49mean that's kind of obvious in their approach because it's like a lot of random
- 57:52shit just happening. It's not like one, well maybe it's different here versus
- 57:57one continuous story, but it seems like a lot of random things happening so
- 58:00far as pretty random. There's I'm not even sure if there's an overall story
- 58:05so far. Yeah, like is there, and that's fine, there is.
- 58:07I just saying like that seems to be that vibe. Yeah. I've
- 58:09only watched two episodes so far. They're both highly entertaining. Like you,
- 58:13I'm a big Vince Staples fan. I think he's a great musician. I
- 58:15think he's a great artist. Yeah, his music is great. I think
- 58:19he's hilarious, you know, just in interviews everything he does, and I
- 58:23loved him on Insecure. I think the show so far is great and I'm
- 58:30obviously land on to me is one of the greatest shows of all time.
- 58:31I'm not gonna put it on that level yet, but it's got potential.
- 58:36It's great. After two episodes, I'm like Dave, I really enjoy Dave,
- 58:39and Dave's another one where I'm like eh, Dave. You know,
- 58:43Dave annoys me a little. Dickie annoys me more, you know, but
- 58:45I still enjoy his show and I can't front on it. And in fact,
- 58:49I want to make a point about this. There was a whole thing
- 58:52last week where I saw about Power and I was like, I wouldn't want
- 58:54to write on it because it's not something that really contributes to society. And
- 58:57that's I want to make things clear. Like I would write on Power,
- 59:00I wouldn't want to write on Power for other reasons, and that's mainly because
- 59:04I enjoy it so much, but I would like to be in the writer's
- 59:07room just to see how they do it, because I see Power is so
- 59:09amazing how they just don't care. You know, No, it's all.
- 59:15That's what I'm saying. I just wanted to make that clear. I didn't
- 59:17when I was rewatching that video this week, I didn't like that or like
- 59:22like I was dogging Power and that was like, and I'm the first,
- 59:25Like me and Jenisha from h T with Queen and j we're talking about it
- 59:29this week, like she was questioning something. I was like, don't question
- 59:31the greatest show on television, Like this is the greatest show on television.
- 59:34Do not quite like you mean both know you tuning in every week and it's
- 59:37the fucking most entertaining thing you can ever see, especially Power raising Kanaan.
- 59:40That is my joint. Like, I love that show. I think it's
- 59:45utterly ridiculous, but I think it's utterly ridiculous in the way that that type
- 59:49of show needs to be in the soap opera and you know, dramatical way
- 59:52it goes without limit. So that's how I just wanted to make that clear
- 59:55because I really felt like last week, you know, when I was rewatching
- 59:59that video, I was like, I don't really this. I really did
- 1:00:00not like how it came were off on that. Yeah, it made it
- 1:00:02sound like where it's like, oh, I'm better than that type of thing.
- 1:00:06No, say, it didn't sound like that. Yeah, And I
- 1:00:08would never say that because one, I don't think anyone you know, I
- 1:00:10think writing is I think writing is difficult, no matter what the type of
- 1:00:14writing it is. I think it's all fucking it's insanely hard. And I
- 1:00:19love Power And that's like that's when I was walking the video, I like,
- 1:00:22I'm gonna have to take that down because I just really did not like
- 1:00:23it. It was like, this is not what I you know, I
- 1:00:25felt like no, because I fucking loved that show. You know. I
- 1:00:29think Power the one with Tommy is annoying because it's it's the worst of them
- 1:00:31all, and I'm mad at that. Like, but that's because I love
- 1:00:35Tommy the character, and I'm like, y'all can do better, Like y'all
- 1:00:37y' al should do better by this character. I really wanted to make that
- 1:00:40clear. Okay, Well, I just appreciate it, and like you said,
- 1:00:45you like what you saw when it came to the Vince Stable Show.
- 1:00:46And and interestingly, like in an interview, they say, what were your
- 1:00:51inspirations for your vision for the show, and he says, as a kid,
- 1:00:54I remember watching the Annie Griffith Show and it had that absurd normality.
- 1:00:59Then Twilight Zone, Kidding, Barry Cohen Brothers films, and David Lynch,
- 1:01:02so all of that, all these he's he's distilled into his show. Apparently
- 1:01:08I'm looking forward to watching cause, like I said, it just looked cool
- 1:01:12and I'm a fan of his you know, I appreciate his work and the
- 1:01:15things his output, so I definitely want to I definitely want to watch this,
- 1:01:19that's wild. I never knew that about the Andy Grifforth Show, Like
- 1:01:22Danie Grifforth Show used to be honest a kid, and it was so old
- 1:01:23to me that I was like, I ain't watching this bullshit, you know.
- 1:01:25So I never I've never known it had that hyper reality because the first
- 1:01:30type of thing that I knew like that was it's an old show too,
- 1:01:34was The Wild Wild West, the one that Will Smith remade. This movie
- 1:01:39like that ship was way before my time, but they would have re runs
- 1:01:42on when I was a kid, and you I'll never forget this. Yeah,
- 1:01:46it's an old show. And it was a like just like how the
- 1:01:50movie was in the West, but had like science fiction steampunk type is.
- 1:01:52Yeah, the show had all that too, So but I didn't know that,
- 1:01:57you know. So it's like one day I'm watching this show and it's
- 1:01:58like I'm watching this Western, I think. And then these dudes smoked these
- 1:02:02on like they literally rolled up like woolly blunts. Like they rolled up.
- 1:02:07It looked like cocaine, you know, and they had and they had the
- 1:02:10tobacco leaves hanging and they rolled them joints up smoked it. And these niggas
