Needles District in Canyonlands National Park reopens Saturday at 8 AM after Babylon Fire closure — but Elephant Hill, Lavender, and Davis Canyon Roads remain closed to vehicles and bikes. The fire, which scorched 107,000 acres, is now 82% contained. Fire crews are still active, so proceed with caution. State Hwy 211 reopened yesterday, and parts of Manti-La Sal National Forest southeast of Blue Mountain Ranch Road and Recapture Road are also open, including trails and FS lands.
