- 0:00Speaker 1: The three things you need to know.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Happy Friday. We made it to Friday. Thank you so
- 0:05Speaker 2: much for starting it with us.
- 0:06Speaker 3: Glad you're here.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Ricky's got those three things presented by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Taylor Frankie Paul is leaking some info about her season
- 0:13Speaker 1: of The Bachelorette. Some big info. There's a clip from
- 0:16Speaker 1: The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives of her saying that
- 0:19Speaker 1: she accepted a proposal from her season of The Bachelorette.
- 0:22Speaker 1: In the clip, she also said she didn't realize the
- 0:24Speaker 1: similarities between this guy and her ex, Dakota Mortensen. they
- 0:29Speaker 1: both have the same initials. They kind of somewhat look alike,
- 0:32Speaker 1: and they're both from Utah. So that was kind of
- 0:34Speaker 1: like a crazy thing to kind of put together. Season
- 0:37Speaker 1: 22 of The Bachelorette was supposed to premiere in March
- 0:39Speaker 1: until a video of Taylor in an argument with her
- 0:41Speaker 1: ex did go viral where she is seen throwing a
- 0:44Speaker 1: barstool at him, and it appears to hit her young daughter.
- 0:48Speaker 1: There have been rumors that this season of The Bachelorette
- 0:51Speaker 1: may still air. But if she's revealing these details, then
- 0:55Speaker 1: the chances of that happening. Kind of spoils the whole thing. Yeah,
- 0:57Speaker 1: the chances that that is actually going to happen, little
- 1:00Speaker 1: to none. But that's been something that's just been rumored.
- 1:03Speaker 1: A lot of people have been saying like, oh, they're
- 1:05Speaker 1: still going to show it, even though The Bachelorette came
- 1:06Speaker 1: out and said we are not showing it. So looks
- 1:09Speaker 1: like that's not happening. This is really exciting. You know
- 1:13Speaker 1: I love spooky season and I love a pop-up bar.
- 1:16Speaker 1: The Noelle has opened a new pop-up bar for their
- 1:18Speaker 1: Halloween season. Their hidden bar is decked out in an
- 1:22Speaker 1: impractical magic theme this year. I'm so pumped about this.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Very fitting since the sequel comes out on the 11th
- 1:30Speaker 1: of this month. So they're going full impractical magic. Hidden
- 1:33Speaker 1: bar is located inside the Noelle downtown. It's got a
- 1:37Speaker 1: speakeasy vibe, so it's behind a big door. If you
- 1:39Speaker 1: can't find it, they will help you find it. But
- 1:42Speaker 1: if you also dine at the restaurant inside the Hotel Lona,
- 1:45Speaker 1: you'll get a skip the line pass to Hidden Bar,
- 1:47Speaker 1: which is the only way to avoid the wait. So
- 1:49Speaker 1: that's a little tip for you. It's typically a very
- 1:51Speaker 1: long wait, especially on the weekends. and Mobland. They are
- 1:55Speaker 1: getting another season. The show has officially been renewed for
- 1:58Speaker 1: season three, and they're squashing the Tom Hardy rumors. He
- 2:01Speaker 1: is going to be returning for the next season as Harry.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Both Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren are also returning. Mobland
- 2:08Speaker 1: season two didn't even premiere yet, okay? It premieres September 18th,
- 2:12Speaker 1: which means this must be a good season. i'm ricky
- 2:15Speaker 1: sanchez and those are the three things you need to.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Know appreciate you ricky thank you so much uh here's
- 2:19Speaker 2: what's going on we do have more disney on ice
- 2:21Speaker 2: passes coming up for the first caller of the day

- 2:29Speaker 2: name i love it she's just my you know yeah
- 2:30Speaker 2: this is a great song it's called bass persuades new
- 2:33Speaker 2: music friday it's 107.5.
- 2:35Speaker 3: The river with new music from miley.
- 2:37Speaker 4: Ricky zack and mano in the.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Morning happy friday everyone it's ricky zack and mano in
- 2:42Speaker 1: the morning on 107.5 the river we have our friend

- 2:48Speaker 1: morning what are you feeling this morning it's friday morning
- 2:51Speaker 1: are we excited are we bummed you had to work
- 2:54Speaker 1: this weekend what's the vibe melissa.
- 2:56Speaker 5: No i'm working today and off the weekend oh.
- 2:59Speaker 3: Yeah three-day weekend for you Yep.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Are you going to take advantage of it in any way?
- 3:04Speaker 3: Do you have any plans?
- 3:05Speaker 6: Well, I've got a birthday party to go to, just
- 3:07Speaker 6: some family things.
- 3:08Speaker 2: That sounds fun.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Birthday parties can be fun. Is it a birthday party
- 3:10Speaker 1: for an adult or a child, though? A child on Saturday,
- 3:13Speaker 1: one on Saturday, one Sunday. Oh, so two.
- 3:17Speaker 5: Yeah, two.
- 3:18Speaker 7: Oh, man.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Those children birthday parties are aggressive.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Those can still be fun, Ricky.
- 3:24Speaker 3: I'm telling you.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Somebody that goes to a lot of kid birthday parties,
- 3:28Speaker 2: parents know how to party at these things.
- 3:30Speaker 3: I'm telling you.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. I've only ever been to like a one-year-old's birthday,
- 3:35Speaker 1: and it is more for the parent than it is
- 3:38Speaker 1: for the child. So it is essentially like the parents
- 3:40Speaker 1: are throwing a birthday party for themselves.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Well, because they made it through a year of parenting,
- 3:44Speaker 2: and that's something to celebrate.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Which we deserve that. Yeah, I totally get that. I
- 3:47Speaker 1: totally get that.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Are your parties anywhere fun, like at a trampoline park
- 3:52Speaker 2: or anything like that, or what's going on?
- 3:54Speaker 1: No, they're going to be at the home.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Cool. Even better.
- 3:57Speaker 1: I kind of think that's better. Yeah, that's better. And
- 4:00Speaker 1: make sure that you drink lots of water this weekend.
- 4:02Speaker 1: It's going to be very hot. So lots of water.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Stay in the shade if you can. All that good stuff.
- 4:07Speaker 1: I feel like I have to be a mom in
- 4:09Speaker 1: this way and tell everybody to drink a lot of
- 4:11Speaker 1: water when it's this hot out because it's gross.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Absolutely. And hey, Melissa, it sounds like you do have
- 4:17Speaker 2: some children in your life, so this would make sense
- 4:20Speaker 2: for you. Four pack of tickets for Disney on Ice
- 4:22Speaker 2: presents Spotlight Magic.
- 4:23Speaker 3: That is yours because you're the first caller.
- 4:25Speaker 4: Of the day.
- 4:25Speaker 5: That's great.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Thanks so much.
- 4:27Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 4:30Speaker 7: On 107.5 The River.
- 4:31Speaker 2: It's a bit before 7 o'clock here on this Friday morning.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Happy Friday, friends. Labor Day weekend is upon us. It's 107.5
- 4:38Speaker 2: The River. So much going on, as always. And as always,
- 4:42Speaker 2: we've got a little recap, a rundown of all the
- 4:44Speaker 2: things you can expect, all the things happening in town
- 4:46Speaker 2: this weekend.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Ricky, what is going on?
- 4:48Speaker 1: I'm taking over today. The Emo Night Tour is at
- 4:51Speaker 1: the Basement East tonight. It starts at 8 p.m. It's
- 4:54Speaker 1: an 18 and older show, so you have to be
- 4:57Speaker 1: 18 or older to get in. Tickets are still available
- 4:59Speaker 1: online for under $ 30, but that is a fun way
- 5:02Speaker 1: to celebrate the kickoff to this holiday weekend and also
- 5:06Speaker 1: a fun way to be inside because it's hot outside.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Pickle Festival is happening tomorrow at Hop Springs in Murfreesboro.
- 5:13Speaker 1: They'll have more than 150 vendors from six states, food trucks,
- 5:18Speaker 1: live music, eating and drinking competitions, family activities, which includes
- 5:23Speaker 1: a free petting zoo, pony rides, and face painting.
- 5:27Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Which my question is, can only the kids do this?
- 5:31Speaker 1: Because I want to ride a pony. I want to
- 5:34Speaker 1: go to the petting zoo.
- 5:35Speaker 3: This might be a silly question.
- 5:36Speaker 2: You might not even have the answer for this, but
- 5:38Speaker 2: with all these food trucks, are they all pickle related?
- 5:40Speaker 1: There will be a lot of pickle themed items in
- 5:43Speaker 1: the food trucks, but I don't think it's all only pickles.
- 5:46Speaker 4: Sure.
- 5:47Speaker 1: I think this is for everyone.
- 5:48Speaker 3: That might be overkill.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Yeah, for some people, not for me. Starts at 10 a.m. tomorrow.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Tickets are $ 5 cash, so make sure you have cash
- 5:57Speaker 1: if you're going. On Sunday, they're doing the Nashville Summerfest
- 6:01Speaker 1: Car and Bike Show at the Fairgrounds Nashville. You can
- 6:04Speaker 1: check it out from noon to 8 p.m. They got cars, trucks, motorcycles, ATVs,
- 6:08Speaker 1: live music, basically everything you need. This will be outside,
- 6:12Speaker 1: and it's going to be a little hot, but... If
- 6:14Speaker 1: you love cars, I'm sure you can deal with it.
- 6:17Speaker 1: If you have a kid who loves cars, this is
- 6:19Speaker 1: like their heaven, their playground right here. Just make sure
- 6:22Speaker 1: you're drinking a lot of water. Make sure that you are,
- 6:25Speaker 1: you know, covering your faces with hats, wearing sunscreen, going
- 6:28Speaker 1: in the shade when you can. All the things that
- 6:30Speaker 1: you need to do to make sure that you don't,
- 6:32Speaker 1: you know, really suffer from the heat in a negative way.
- 6:35Speaker 1: And a bonus for anybody who has off on Monday.
- 6:38Speaker 1: There's a place called Goat Yoga Nashville where they do
- 6:42Speaker 1: full yoga every It's a full yoga workout with goats.
- 6:46Speaker 2: The goats, like, stand on your back and stuff while
- 6:48Speaker 2: you're doing the yoga poses?
- 6:49Speaker 1: And they just, like, hang out and, you know, gallop along.
- 6:52Speaker 1: They take little naps, things like that. They have a class, though,
- 6:55Speaker 1: at 10.30 a.m. Tickets are still available on their website, goatyoganashville.com.
- 7:01Speaker 1: It's just a cute little way to start your day
- 7:03Speaker 1: on Monday, especially because Monday is typically the day that
- 7:05Speaker 1: everybody's going to take to yoga. chill and relax because
- 7:08Speaker 1: you stuff everything into the weekend and you're like wow
- 7:10Speaker 1: i have an extra day to just not do anything
- 7:13Speaker 1: but this is a very calm and cute way to
- 7:15Speaker 1: celebrate your monday the.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Goats don't get the day off they're working the goats.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Are working they don't have uh labor unions or anything
- 7:21Speaker 1: you know so they'll be working and yeah not yet
- 7:25Speaker 1: and you'll be working because you'll be working out three.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Things you need to know friday feels good to say
- 7:31Speaker 2: it thank you for starting it with us ricky sanchez
- 7:33Speaker 2: has those three things presented by mark spain real.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Estate Swifties believe Taylor Swift may be teasing a re-release
- 7:39Speaker 1: of her debut album. Country stations across the country have
- 7:42Speaker 1: been teasing upcoming Taylor Swift interviews. Now Swifties think that
- 7:46Speaker 1: it could be a sign that she's going to re-release
- 7:48Speaker 1: her debut album for its 20th anniversary. The promotional materials
- 7:52Speaker 1: that are out there all have the logo from her
- 7:54Speaker 1: debut album on them, which seems intentional, according to the Swifties.
- 7:59Speaker 1: All of these interviews seem to be airing around the
- 8:01Speaker 1: same time this weekend. So we're going to have to
- 8:03Speaker 1: wait to see tomorrow to know for sure. But this
- 8:06Speaker 1: is where it looks like it's going. There's also a
- 8:08Speaker 1: possibility that this is just, you know, everybody's thinking it's
- 8:12Speaker 1: something and it's not because Taylor loves to give little
- 8:15Speaker 1: Easter eggs here and there. And it kind of throws
- 8:18Speaker 1: everybody into a frenzy. So we'll see what happens. Really
- 8:21Speaker 1: sad about this one. Sandbar and other businesses at one
- 8:24Speaker 1: city must leave by the end of the year. The
- 8:27Speaker 1: property is being sold, leaving Sandbar, Aloha Fish Company, Coco's
- 8:31Speaker 1: Ice Cream, and Nosh Desserts with no choice but to
- 8:34Speaker 1: leave the place that they call home base. They will
- 8:36Speaker 1: be at their current location until the end of the year,
- 8:39Speaker 1: December 31st. Aloha Fish Company has announced that they're looking
- 8:43Speaker 1: at new locations for a brick and mortar shop. Coco's
- 8:45Speaker 1: Ice Cream seems to be looking into their next chapter
- 8:48Speaker 1: as well and what that will look like. Go support
- 8:50Speaker 1: these local small businesses if you get a chance. Sandbar
- 8:53Speaker 1: is so fun. I've been looking forward to checking out
- 8:57Speaker 1: Aloha Fish Company and haven't had a chance to yet.
- 9:00Speaker 1: But please, like, go support them while they are still there.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Follow them on Instagram. Know where they're going next. It's
- 9:07Speaker 1: so important that we keep these local small businesses alive
- 9:10Speaker 1: here in Nashville because the more and more people come
- 9:13Speaker 1: in and developers buy up plots of land and change everything,
- 9:16Speaker 1: the more we lose out on what is so special
- 9:20Speaker 1: about these local places. So go support them. And beer
- 9:23Speaker 1: brand PBR. They need help finding the thief who stole
- 9:27Speaker 1: a ton of beer from them. These in Southern California
- 9:30Speaker 1: stole over $ 70, 000 worth of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer, which
- 9:34Speaker 1: is a lot of beer because it's cheap.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Yes, $ 70, 000. $ 70, 000.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Worth of PBR is way too much beer for any
- 9:42Speaker 1: one person to have. Now Pabst needs your help. They're
- 9:46Speaker 1: offering $ 20, 000 as a cash reward for information leading to
- 9:50Speaker 1: the recovery of the stolen beer. The CEO took to
- 9:53Speaker 1: social media to demand the return of the shipment by
- 9:55Speaker 1: September 9th, urging anyone who has any leads to contact
- 9:59Speaker 1: their tip line. Anyone with information is asked to email
- 10:02Speaker 1: hotline at paps.com. I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the
- 10:06Speaker 1: three things you need to know.
- 10:07Speaker 2: I want to follow along with that story. I really,
- 10:08Speaker 2: I hope they crack this case. That's exciting. Go get
- 10:10Speaker 2: that PBR.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Well, the thieves for sure cracked their case.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Oh, man, you're on fire today, Ricky.
- 10:18Speaker 7: Class is in session.
- 10:20Speaker 4: Zach's Facts, brought to you by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 10:23Speaker 7: On 107.5 The River.
- 10:25Speaker 3: Zach has been out this week.
- 10:26Speaker 2: I'm filling in with those facts, and I apologize in
- 10:28Speaker 2: advance for this one. Ricky, I know that you were gluten-free,
- 10:31Speaker 2: but I'm assuming at some point in your life you
- 10:34Speaker 2: had pumpernickel bread.
- 10:35Speaker 1: For sure.
- 10:36Speaker 3: Okay, do you know?
- 10:38Speaker 2: By chance, where the word pumpernickel comes from?
- 10:40Speaker 1: I have no idea.
- 10:42Speaker 2: It translates from old German words to mean either devil's
- 10:45Speaker 2: fart or farting goblin.
- 10:48Speaker 3: Pumpern means to break wind. You know what that means.
- 10:51Speaker 2: And nickel means like goblin or devil. They said since
- 10:54Speaker 2: the bread was so dense and heavy and hard to digest,
- 10:58Speaker 2: farting devil.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Both my husband and my dad love pumpernickel.
- 11:02Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 11:03Speaker 2: And does this track then? Do they get a case
- 11:06Speaker 2: of the pumpernickels afterwards?
- 11:08Speaker 7: I've never noticed.
- 11:09Speaker 1: I don't know for sure, but either way, hilarious to me.
- 11:12Speaker 3: There's your fact of the day.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Thanks, Kev.
- 11:14Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Do you either brush your teeth or floss in the shower?
- 11:19Speaker 1: We're getting very personal right now on 107.5 The River
- 11:22Speaker 1: with this. We're a little intrusive, but we must know.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Invite us into the shower. 615-737-9107. Whichever side of this
- 11:30Speaker 2: you are on, do you think it's normal to brush
- 11:33Speaker 2: your teeth in the shower, floss in the shower, or
- 11:35Speaker 2: do you think that's kind of gross? We'll share where
- 11:37Speaker 2: we stand and why we're even asking the question.
- 11:40Speaker 3: But we would love to hear from you.
- 11:41Speaker 4: 615-737-9107.
- 11:41Speaker 3: 107.5 The River.
- 11:46Speaker 7: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Emma Joyce in Fairview is on the line right now.
- 11:50Speaker 2: It's 107.5 The River. Emma, it's a very simple question.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Do you brush your teeth or floss.
- 11:56Speaker 3: In the shower?
- 11:57Speaker 6: I brush my teeth in the shower.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Normally, I think it's normal.
- 12:01Speaker 4: Okay. Okay.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Is it because you're trying to save time? Like, when
- 12:04Speaker 1: did you start doing this? Have you always done this?
- 12:07Speaker 6: I've done this for about six months now.
- 12:10Speaker 5: Okay.
- 12:10Speaker 2: And because I think.
- 12:12Speaker 1: It, like, saves time.
- 12:13Speaker 7: Sure.
- 12:14Speaker 3: I get that. I think that would be the reason
- 12:16Speaker 3: people do it is to save time.
- 12:17Speaker 1: I don't feel like it saves that much time, though.
- 12:20Speaker 1: But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I have to try it
- 12:21Speaker 1: to know for sure.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Do you have a mirror in there? I feel like
- 12:24Speaker 2: I like to look at myself when I brush my teeth.
- 12:30Speaker 1: No, I can, like, walk around and brush my teeth.
- 12:32Speaker 1: I don't stare at myself as I'm brushing.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Oh, I do every time.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Kevin, that's kind of creepy. That might be worse than
- 12:39Speaker 1: Emma Joyce brushing her teeth in the shower.
- 12:40Speaker 3: No, you've got to see your teeth as you're brushing them.
- 12:42Speaker 1: No, you know that you're brushing them. If you feel
- 12:45Speaker 1: it anywhere else, then you know, like, oh, that's my lip.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Shouldn't be brushing that.
- 12:51Speaker 7: All right, Emma.
- 12:51Speaker 4: That's a weird thing. Thank you for calling in.
- 12:53Speaker 3: Thank you for your input here.
- 12:55Speaker 7: Bye.
- 12:55Speaker 4: Bye, love.
- 12:56Speaker 3: Let's grab Brayden on line three.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Hi, Brayden. Do you want to talk to us about
- 13:01Speaker 1: brushing your teeth in the shower?
- 13:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I brush my teeth in the shower sometimes, but
- 13:07Speaker 2: I don't floss because.
- 13:08Speaker 3: It's too hard. Oh, the flossing is too hard.
- 13:11Speaker 2: You ever try those little floss picks, like where you
- 13:13Speaker 2: hold like the little plastic pick and it's got the
- 13:15Speaker 2: floss at the end of it? It's too hard to
- 13:17Speaker 2: floss in the shower.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Yeah, too hard to floss in the shower.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Oh, I just thought you didn't floss in general. Okay,
- 13:23Speaker 3: I got you. Yeah, that makes sense.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Brayden sounds like he's very good at making sure that
- 13:26Speaker 1: his mouth is clean and brushing and flossing. Am I correct, Brayden?
- 13:30Speaker 4: Yes.
- 13:31Speaker 7: Okay, see?
- 13:31Speaker 3: I got that vibe. Breathe into the phone.
- 13:33Speaker 2: I want to smell your breath.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 13:38Speaker 4: Clean.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Nice job. Keep it up.
- 13:40Speaker 4: Keep it up.
- 13:41Speaker 3: Thank you for calling.
- 13:42Speaker 5: Okay.
- 13:42Speaker 7: Bye. Bye.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't do it.
- 13:46Speaker 2: And there's a reason we're asking this question. I also,
- 13:48Speaker 2: I don't want to get like toothpaste anywhere on my body.
- 13:50Speaker 2: You know, I feel like that would be, it would
- 13:52Speaker 2: be like running down my face.
- 13:53Speaker 1: That's an interesting thought process.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Yeah, like you're standing under the shower water.
- 13:57Speaker 1: I'm really concerned about the way in which you brush
- 13:59Speaker 1: your teeth, Kevin. I'm more and more concerned the more
- 14:02Speaker 1: you talk about this. You're really not. But the whole
- 14:05Speaker 1: reason we brought this up is because I have a
- 14:06Speaker 1: friend who flosses in the shower. His wife brushes her
- 14:11Speaker 1: teeth in the shower and he flosses in the shower.
- 14:13Speaker 1: And he says the reason why he does that is
- 14:15Speaker 1: because it's easier. from getting all the like food out
- 14:18Speaker 1: of your teeth and then i had another friend who
- 14:20Speaker 1: chimed in and was like oh yeah because then the
- 14:22Speaker 1: the food gets all over the mirror and all over
- 14:24Speaker 1: the sink and i'm like what is wrong with my.
- 14:26Speaker 3: Friends are they okay yeah that's but then.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Now i'm listening to kevin brushing his teeth and things
- 14:31Speaker 1: that he worries about and i'm kind of concerned about
- 14:33Speaker 1: everybody now.
- 14:33Speaker 2: I do think just like the teeth i would need
- 14:35Speaker 2: a mirror to floss I don't understand that.
- 14:38Speaker 1: You know where your teeth are, Kevin. They're inside of
- 14:41Speaker 1: your mouth.
- 14:42Speaker 2: I can't even.
- 14:43Speaker 7: Do you know where your mouth is?
- 14:43Speaker 1: Point to your mouth. Kevin, mouth, where's that?
- 14:47Speaker 2: Point to your mouth. 615-737-9107 if you want to join
- 14:50Speaker 2: this conversation.
- 14:51Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Marcus in Nashville, welcome to 107.5 The River. Do you
- 14:56Speaker 1: brush your teeth or floss in the shower?
- 14:58Speaker 4: No.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Okay.
- 15:00Speaker 4: I get in the mirror. I'm with Kevin on this one.
- 15:03Speaker 5: You got to get in the mirror because Depending on
- 15:06Speaker 5: what you've eaten, something may still be there. If you're
- 15:09Speaker 5: in the shower, you're not going to see it until later.
- 15:11Speaker 1: So you have to stare at yourself in the mirror
- 15:14Speaker 1: when you're brushing your.
- 15:14Speaker 3: Teeth, Marcus?
- 15:16Speaker 5: Not staring, just looking at the teeth to make sure
- 15:19Speaker 5: you've gotten everything. If you don't use toothpicks or something
- 15:22Speaker 5: like that, you may have a piece of meat or
- 15:24Speaker 5: something that's still stuck there.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Okay.
- 15:27Speaker 2: You never know. You've got to see what you're doing.
- 15:30Speaker 5: Yeah, you've got to see it and make sure you
- 15:31Speaker 5: get all of it and everything.
- 15:33Speaker 4: I think that's very funny. You don't want anybody to
- 15:34Speaker 4: see it before you see it.
- 15:35Speaker 5: Exactly.
- 15:36Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:37Speaker 1: You guys have that in common at least.
- 15:38Speaker 3: We have each other, Marcus.
- 15:40Speaker 4: All right. You guys have a good morning. Bye.
- 15:43Speaker 3: I think it's common, Ricky.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Think about like every TV show or movie you've ever seen,
- 15:46Speaker 2: people are brushing their teeth, looking in the mirror.
- 15:48Speaker 1: I don't think it's as common as you think it is.
- 15:50Speaker 7: Good morning.
- 15:50Speaker 1: It's 107.5 The River.
- 15:52Speaker 3: Who's this?
- 15:53Speaker 1: Hi there.
- 15:53Speaker 7: Hi.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Hi.
- 15:55Speaker 6: I will remain anonymous because I'm actually a dental hygienist.
- 15:58Speaker 4: Oh, nice.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Okay, we have a dental hygienist. Do you believe you
- 16:01Speaker 1: have to stare at yourself in the mirror in order
- 16:03Speaker 1: to brush your teeth correctly?
- 16:06Speaker 6: It's helpful, but it's not necessary.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Okay, thank you.
- 16:09Speaker 5: But helpful.
- 16:10Speaker 6: As long as you're brushing at the gum line, I
- 16:12Speaker 6: don't really care where you're brushing your teeth.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Okay.
- 16:16Speaker 6: Electric brushes are way better.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Yes. I have a few in mine.
- 16:19Speaker 6: Also, flossing, I don't care where.
- 16:21Speaker 1: You do it, just do it.
- 16:22Speaker 5: Just do it.
- 16:23Speaker 4: Just floss.
- 16:23Speaker 6: It's like taking a shower and.
- 16:24Speaker 5: Not using soap.
- 16:25Speaker 6: You're doing half the job.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Oh.
- 16:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 16:28Speaker 1: I like the way that you just phrased that.
- 16:31Speaker 6: There's another analogy I can use about going to the
- 16:33Speaker 6: bathroom and not using toilet paper.
- 16:35Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 16:36Speaker 4: Okay.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Enough said.
- 16:37Speaker 4: We're good.
- 16:38Speaker 2: You're making me want to floss right now, but I
- 16:40Speaker 2: don't have a mirror.
- 16:41Speaker 3: In me, so I can't.
- 16:42Speaker 4: Oh my God, Kevin.
- 16:43Speaker 6: And on that note, I will let y'all go and
- 16:45Speaker 6: I'm going to go to work.
- 16:46Speaker 3: You're awesome.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Thank you so much. We appreciate you and we hope
- 16:49Speaker 1: you have a fantastic day making sure that everybody's teeth
- 16:52Speaker 1: are delightful and beautiful.
- 16:54Speaker 6: One other thing I'll say is just remember the mouth
- 16:57Speaker 6: is the bacterial gateway to the rest of your body.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Disgusting.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Thank you so much for that.
- 17:01Speaker 3: Appreciate it.
- 17:04Speaker 6: We hope you have a great day, love.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Thanks.
- 17:07Speaker 4: Sorry. Bye-bye.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Nice tagline.
- 17:10Speaker 4: It's honest.
- 17:11Speaker 1: It's truthful, but it's gross.
- 17:14Speaker 2: We've got Nashville Sounds tickets next with the game of
- 17:16Speaker 2: the day.
- 17:17Speaker 7: Come get them. Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 17:20Speaker 4: On 107.5 The River.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Kevin Mano's game of the day on 107.5 The River.
- 17:24Speaker 1: It's the super easy baseball quiz today. We've been playing
- 17:28Speaker 1: this all week for tickets to the Nashville Sounds game
- 17:30Speaker 1: this Sunday. And we got Caitlin in Springfield on the line.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Good morning, Caitlin. How are you feeling today?
- 17:36Speaker 4: Good morning.
- 17:36Speaker 2: I'm happy.
- 17:37Speaker 6: Happy Friday, everybody.
- 17:38Speaker 3: Happy Friday to you. You looking at a three-day weekend?
- 17:41Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 17:42Speaker 7: I'm ready.
- 17:42Speaker 3: Wonderful.
- 17:43Speaker 2: Hopefully, you can make a sounds game part of your
- 17:47Speaker 2: weekend plans. If you get two out of three of
- 17:49Speaker 2: these questions right, you're going to go on Sunday. Ricky's
- 17:51Speaker 2: going to be out there. It's Sunday Family Fun Day.
- 17:54Speaker 3: It's going to be fun.
- 17:55Speaker 4: You ready?
- 17:55Speaker 1: I'm ready.
- 17:56Speaker 3: All right, Caitlin, your game starts right now. Again, a reminder,
- 18:02Speaker 3: you need two out of three.
- 18:04Speaker 2: What city is home to both the Yankees and the Mets?
- 18:09Speaker 7: New York.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Yeah, there we go.
- 18:12Speaker 7: Nice job.
- 18:13Speaker 3: No, yeah, you got it right. New York City.
- 18:14Speaker 4: That works.
- 18:14Speaker 1: New York City.
- 18:15Speaker 4: Okay.
- 18:16Speaker 2: You get this right.
- 18:17Speaker 3: You win super easy.
- 18:18Speaker 2: You walk away with the tickets. In 1983, who was
- 18:21Speaker 2: named the National League Rookie of the Year? Oh, Ken
- 18:28Speaker 2: Griffey Jr.
- 18:29Speaker 3: No, no, it's a good guess. I mean, he is
- 18:31Speaker 3: a player. No, it was Daryl Strawberry.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Oh, thanks. That's okay.
- 18:36Speaker 2: For the win, you need this to win traditionally. What
- 18:39Speaker 2: color stitching would you find on an otherwise white baseball?
- 18:44Speaker 7: Red.
- 18:45Speaker 6: Congratulations.
- 18:46Speaker 2: You're going to see the sounds on Sunday.
- 18:51Speaker 1: Congratulations, Caitlin. That middle one is always just so tough.
- 18:55Speaker 1: That middle question. He gets everybody every time, you know?
- 18:58Speaker 2: Darryl Strawberry.
- 18:59Speaker 3: Come on, guys.
- 18:59Speaker 2: 1983 Rookie of the Year.
- 19:01Speaker 3: You didn't know that?
- 19:02Speaker 1: I don't know how we did it, Caitlin.
- 19:04Speaker 6: I wasn't even born.
- 19:05Speaker 1: That might be why I didn't know either.
- 19:09Speaker 2: Well, have fun this weekend. Just in general, your Labor
- 19:11Speaker 2: Day weekend. Have fun and have fun at the sounds
- 19:13Speaker 2: game on Sunday.
- 19:14Speaker 5: I appreciate it.
- 19:15Speaker 7: Y'all too.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Ricky, I still think I'm trying to talk you into
- 19:18Speaker 2: throwing out the first.
- 19:18Speaker 3: Pitch on Sunday.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Not happening.
- 19:21Speaker 3: Do it. Do it.
- 19:23Speaker 4: Nope.
- 19:23Speaker 2: Okay. It is impossible to talk Ricky into something she
- 19:27Speaker 2: doesn't want to do.
- 19:28Speaker 7: Three things you need to know.
- 19:30Speaker 2: Let's go just after 8 o'clock on this Friday morning.
- 19:32Speaker 2: Appreciate you being here. Ricky's got those three things presented
- 19:35Speaker 2: by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 19:37Speaker 1: The jury remains deadlocked in the Lindsay Clancy trial. Yesterday
- 19:41Speaker 1: was the sixth day of deliberations on the murder trial
- 19:44Speaker 1: without reaching a verdict. Turns out that one juror was
- 19:47Speaker 1: refusing to follow instructions concerning reasonable doubt. So Judge William
- 19:51Speaker 1: Sullivan then questioned jurors individually and ultimately ended up rejecting
- 19:55Speaker 1: the defense's request to remove the juror. Lindsay is on
- 19:59Speaker 1: trial for the murder of her three children. Her attorneys
- 20:02Speaker 1: argue that she was suffering postpartum psychosis, while the prosecutors
- 20:06Speaker 1: are saying that she deliberately planned it all. Deliberations will
- 20:09Speaker 1: resume today. If the jurors remain unable to reach a verdict,
- 20:13Speaker 1: then there may be a mistrial. I will keep you
- 20:16Speaker 1: updated as those things unfold. Nashville has been named one
- 20:20Speaker 1: of Yelp's top foodie cities in the U.S. They analyze
- 20:23Speaker 1: Yelp data, including restaurant search volume, page views, ratings, bookmarks.
- 20:28Speaker 1: save activities along with like Lyft along with Lyft rideshare
- 20:34Speaker 1: destination data to get these rankings. So the South and
- 20:38Speaker 1: Southeast are home to eight of the top 20 cities
- 20:41Speaker 1: on the list. We came in at number eight here
- 20:44Speaker 1: in Nashville and New Orleans. They came in at number one.
- 20:48Speaker 1: United Airlines is testing food delivery to passengers at their gates.
- 20:52Speaker 1: This is going to make people who are late to everything,
- 20:55Speaker 1: like me, very happy to hear. So this new feature
- 20:58Speaker 1: allows passengers to pre-order food and essentials for gate pickup,
- 21:02Speaker 1: like meals, snacks, and even travel accessories. Through the United app.
- 21:07Speaker 1: So for now, they're testing the service at Newark Airport
- 21:10Speaker 1: in New Jersey. But United plans to expand the service
- 21:12Speaker 1: to Houston later this year and potentially other airports based
- 21:16Speaker 1: on customer feedback. The idea is that you order it
- 21:18Speaker 1: in the app and then it will be left for
- 21:20Speaker 1: you for pickup at the gate that you need to
- 21:22Speaker 1: go to. Which is very convenient and very cool. And
- 21:26Speaker 1: as someone who is always constantly late and always needs
- 21:28Speaker 1: a bottle of water before she gets on the flight...
- 21:31Speaker 1: This is going to be very helpful for me specifically.
- 21:33Speaker 1: I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three things you
- 21:35Speaker 1: need to know.
- 21:36Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 21:40Speaker 7: On 107.5 The River.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Kevin, get the stopwatch ready. It's time for the leftovers
- 21:43Speaker 1: on 107.5 The River. Each of us gets 30 seconds
- 21:47Speaker 1: to bring a topic. Or a story that did not
- 21:49Speaker 1: make it to the show this week to you right now.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Because we just only have so much time to talk
- 21:54Speaker 1: about things. We keep saying we should have more time
- 21:57Speaker 1: to talk. And our boss keeps telling us no. Which
- 22:01Speaker 1: is honestly rude. But that's why we created this little
- 22:03Speaker 1: tidbit here.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Dracula from Tame Impala six more times.
- 22:07Speaker 4: Kevin.
- 22:08Speaker 1: All right, I'm going to start. I'm going to kick
- 22:11Speaker 1: it off with America's recipe for the perfect tailgate.
- 22:14Speaker 4: You ready? Yeah, I'm ready.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Football season is here. That means tailgates are about to
- 22:17Speaker 1: be obviously in full spring. Spring?
- 22:20Speaker 4: Swing.
- 22:21Speaker 2: Okay, I'm going to start the stopwatch over again from
- 22:24Speaker 2: the top.
- 22:26Speaker 7: No, I can't.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Football season is here. That means tailgates are about to
- 22:30Speaker 1: be in full swing. So here's what Americans think the
- 22:34Speaker 1: ideal tailgate includes. The perfect tailgate starts two and a
- 22:38Speaker 1: half hours before the game on average. But those hosting
- 22:40Speaker 1: a home gate start a little bit earlier at 2.6
- 22:43Speaker 1: hours before the kickoff. Fans believe a pre-game event should
- 22:47Speaker 1: have an average of 11 people attending with six different
- 22:50Speaker 1: food items and six different drink options. The most popular
- 22:54Speaker 1: tailgate foods are, in order of most popular to least, burgers,
- 22:59Speaker 1: hot dogs, chips, dips. pulled pork barbecue, pizza, and then charcuterie.
- 23:04Speaker 3: Wow, I thought pizza would be number one.
- 23:06Speaker 1: I thought it was going to be a lot higher.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Yeah, it's easy.
- 23:08Speaker 4: But here we are.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Burgers and dogs. That's where you got to go with this.
- 23:11Speaker 3: Six drink options. That seems like a lot. But thank
- 23:13Speaker 3: you for that, Ricky.
- 23:14Speaker 2: Appreciate it. Since Labor Day weekend is here, I have
- 23:17Speaker 2: a list of the hardest working states in America. They're
- 23:20Speaker 2: all ranked here. This is based on how many hours
- 23:22Speaker 2: people put in at work.
- 23:24Speaker 3: The Dakotas took the top two spots.
- 23:27Speaker 4: Oh.
- 23:27Speaker 7: It's so weird.
- 23:28Speaker 2: South Dakota's number one, the hardest working state. North Dakota's
- 23:30Speaker 2: number two. Alaska is third. Tennessee is in the top ten.
- 23:35Speaker 3: We're ninth.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 23:37Speaker 2: I don't know if that's a good thing or a
- 23:38Speaker 2: bad thing. Like, I feel like you'd want to be
- 23:39Speaker 2: in the middle somewhere with a good work-life balance.
- 23:41Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 23:42Speaker 4: True.
- 23:43Speaker 3: And with the.
- 23:44Speaker 1: Way wages are going, we're working really hard and not
- 23:47Speaker 1: getting paid for it.
- 23:48Speaker 4: That's fun.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Tennessee is top 10, though. Ricky, how do you think
- 23:52Speaker 2: your home state of New Jersey did? I feel like
- 23:54Speaker 2: it's got to be in top 10. Top 10 hardest
- 23:57Speaker 2: working cities?
- 23:58Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 23:59Speaker 3: 48th, my friend.
- 24:00Speaker 4: 48th.
- 24:01Speaker 3: You are almost last.
- 24:03Speaker 2: Oregon is 49th, right behind New Jersey. And then the
- 24:07Speaker 2: laziest state, the least hardworking.
- 24:11Speaker 3: Would be Michigan.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Oh, interesting.
- 24:14Speaker 3: Yeah, they came in 50th. All right. I kind of
- 24:16Speaker 3: am jealous of Michigan.
- 24:17Speaker 2: That sounds nice, doesn't it?
- 24:19Speaker 1: I'm now jealous of my home state. I'm ready to
- 24:22Speaker 1: go back if I can work less.
- 24:24Speaker 7: There you go.
- 24:24Speaker 2: That concludes the leftovers. Oh, we're going to play Dracula
- 24:27Speaker 2: from Tame Impala next.
- 24:29Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 24:30Speaker 2: Today's Daily Double Tap here on 107.5 The River is
- 24:34Speaker 2: just super sweet.
- 24:35Speaker 3: Just a really sweet moment caught.
- 24:37Speaker 2: The audio is recorded and now it's kind of all
- 24:39Speaker 2: over the place and we wanted to bring it to you.
- 24:41Speaker 1: It's a father-daughter duo. They're both pilots and this is
- 24:45Speaker 1: a moment that was caught over air traffic control because
- 24:47Speaker 1: they were both at the same airport. On the runway
- 24:50Speaker 1: at the same time.
- 24:51Speaker 3: And I think it was like a surprise for both
- 24:53Speaker 3: of them.
- 24:53Speaker 4: Yeah, they didn't know.
- 24:54Speaker 3: They weren't really expecting it.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Until it happened.
- 24:56Speaker 3: Today's Daily Double Tap.
- 24:56Speaker 4: Here it is. One right via Kilo to follow the
- 25:00Speaker 4: Dash 8 United 108. Pops?
- 25:04Speaker 2: Hello.
- 25:05Speaker 4: Where are you at?
- 25:06Speaker 2: Just part one right.
- 25:07Speaker 4: Safe travels. Bye-bye.
- 25:09Speaker 6: That's your daughter?
- 25:10Speaker 4: Apparently.
- 25:12Speaker 7: Yeah, computer 4977.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Your daughter's a pilot.
- 25:15Speaker 4: Aren't you proud, Popper? Sort of. Is she still living
- 25:20Speaker 4: in your house?
- 25:21Speaker 2: Oh, no, but she is on my cell phone plan.
- 25:24Speaker 6: Hey, hey, she's not allowed off her cell phone plan
- 25:27Speaker 6: until she gets married.
- 25:29Speaker 4: Thanks.
- 25:30Speaker 2: I was on my mama's cell phone plan until I
- 25:31Speaker 2: got married.
- 25:31Speaker 7: Thanks.
- 25:33Speaker 1: I am single.
- 25:34Speaker 5: Oh, well, see, you got to stay on daddy's cell
- 25:36Speaker 5: phone plan.
- 25:38Speaker 3: It's just cute.
- 25:38Speaker 2: Just a nice little peek behind the curtain of what
- 25:40Speaker 2: they're talking about and the two of them out there
- 25:42Speaker 2: at the same time.
- 25:42Speaker 1: I love it i love that she recognized his voice
- 25:45Speaker 1: yeah and went pops like immediately knew that that was
- 25:49Speaker 1: him how sweet and also i agree although um i
- 25:52Speaker 1: am still on my dad's cell phone plan and i
- 25:54Speaker 1: did indeed get married over the summer so my wife is.
- 25:57Speaker 2: On her mom's cell phone yes you're not alone that's
- 26:00Speaker 2: very very common ricky We should bring this back. We
- 26:02Speaker 2: should talk about that next week. Cell phone plans.
- 26:04Speaker 3: Who's still on them?
- 26:05Speaker 4: There you go.
- 26:06Speaker 3: Today's Daily Double Tap.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Just a sweet one to make you smile.
- 26:08Speaker 3: On a Friday.
- 26:09Speaker 7: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 26:11Speaker 4: On 107.5 The River.
