Transcript
- 0:04[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to Three Yards Perkati, a podcast covering the Miami Dolphins and the NFL.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_01]: Now, here's your host, Chris, Alf, and Simon.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_00]: And we're on!
- 0:17[SPEAKER_00]: This is Three Yards Perkari, the first of the season as we're going to preview.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_00]: The Miami Dolphins at the Las Vegas Raiders, they get going at 425 on Sunday.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_00]: It's the season opener.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: And it's the very rare, extremely important first game or the regular season in my estimation.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_00]: Because I think the Miami Dolphins are better than three teams on their schedule.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_00]: And this is one of them.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_00]: And the other two, it's the same team, which is the New York yet.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_00]: So I've done a grab one here while they have one.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_00]: uh... in front of them do you see it the same way as i do because i look at this rate of thruster truss without rock bower's that why we see record is not as good as ours at least ours had some a little bit of upside but i guess you can't allow i can't like trade took a little bit better than mully gwashington a little mully gwashington offers a little versatility
- 1:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think the dolphins are the more talented team on Sunday and I'll begin there before we get into a little bit of the X's and O's and how this game is going to be played.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_00]: I think dolphins are better than the Raiders and we're not going to be able to say this very often this season.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_00]: Do you agree?
- 1:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, so here's a thing.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not going to say that this is the most winnable game on the schedule because I don't like the timing.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_02]: I think that one is going to be pretty nasty for Miami defense or this is a new defense, new defense of coaching staff, new
- 1:59[SPEAKER_02]: You know, new players all around.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_02]: Not even very talented players for the most for, well, for much of that defense rock.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_02]: And we've seen in the past when you start out with a new defense coordinator and new set of players trying to establish a system.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_02]: Solid 2019, we saw it in 2014, I think it was Anthony Weaver.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_02]: We saw it in 2025 with,
- 2:28[SPEAKER_02]: also of Anthony Weaver when they have like kind of the basic time robber almost the entire defense.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_02]: That first month of the year is going to be rough.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_02]: There's going to be a while 40 burgers out there.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_02]: There are a lot of 40 points in games.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_02]: They're in the first couple of months or two of the season because of the stock and defense.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_02]: What could be prepared for that?
- 2:48[SPEAKER_02]: The question is, are the Raiders the team to do that?
- 2:52[SPEAKER_02]: And that's where I think you brought up an invalid point.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_02]: which is that, you know, no, the Raiders are not that necessarily the team to do that, especially without a Brock Barrett powers.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, I don't like the timing of this game.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think that, therefore, I'm not gonna call it the most admirable game on the schedule, but at the same time, this was the worst team of football in football last year.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_02]: The last day is Raiders, right?
- 3:22[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's not,
- 3:24[SPEAKER_02]: It's not pulling up any trees, right?
- 3:26[SPEAKER_02]: They got one over all pick.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_02]: They got Fernando Mendoza.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_02]: They're not even playing Fernando Mendoza.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_02]: And so, yeah, this is the team that everybody expects to be the worst team in 2026, versus the team that everybody expects, or that was the worst team in 2025.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_02]: So, yeah, the dolphins should have a,
- 3:50[SPEAKER_02]: valid, winnable shot at this game and we'll just have to see as it plays out and we'll, you know, we'll break it down further than that.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, this is worst team of 20, 25 versus the whatever everybody thinks will be the worst team of 20, 26.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_02]: And that's not a way up as far as predicting the outcome of that because it could go a number of different ways because every reason believe that defense of my amnes is going to be extremely poor in the first month or two of the season if not for the whole season and but the question is really, you know,
- 4:34[SPEAKER_02]: without Brock Bowers, the team to really take advantage of that, and I don't think they are.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Simon, we've started here, like, I think as I look at the rosters and I look at the schedules, the dolphins I think are better than three teams on their schedule and one of them they play twice, which is the New York jet.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're better than the Raiders.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: If you look at that, especially without Brock Bowers like that, why receiver core,
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: is as poor as hours and I kind of like hours because at least hours has the upside of the two rookies.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: And Tray Tucker, Malik Washington, you know, give her take.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think this is a game where I kind of expect, I think Miami is the better team on Sunday.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: Do you go into this game thinking, this is one of those opportunities that you can't let go?
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: Like this, one of those opportunities to grab a win.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_03]: Do you see it that way?
- 5:29[SPEAKER_03]: It's one of the three games that I think they potentially can win.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think they will win.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_03]: But I think it's one of the games that they can win.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_03]: I think a lot's got to go right for the Monofence.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_03]: I just worry about the defenses.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_03]: I heard the end of Chris Sarah worry about the defense.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_03]: you know what they're going to do and how they're going to shut down genty and you know I think they'll receive a cause is okay, but I was being out as obviously a huge loss but Mike and Mike obviously play, he's a good player that they've made significant improvements on the offensive line and defensively obviously this been an awful lot of money in free agency bringing in.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_03]: a number of different grires, obviously.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_03]: They've got three rookies on the back end, Stooks, masses, and Jamod McCoy.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_03]: They've still obviously got Max Klosby who came back to them.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_03]: They spent money on guys like Nikobe Gain and Koi Walker and that sort of thing.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_03]: So I definitely think it's a game Miami can win.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_03]: whether they do or not remains to be seen, but the fact that it's a road game in Vegas, it's a toss-up really for me and we'll see how it pays out.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_03]: But I was saying to somebody yesterday, I think if this team can win three or four games, I think you give me the least new contract, quite frankly.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I'm intrigued by the Dolphin's offerings, I've got to say, I think there's, you know, you're asking for the perfect storm in many regards with that
- 6:52[SPEAKER_03]: you know, if one of those three came to the fore, then you'd be pleased.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_03]: It's a lot to ask for three of three to come to the fore, especially one that's coming off an ACL there in November.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_03]: But the run game, I like the look of the offensive line.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_03]: If seven I can, you know, step up and continue to play the way it looks like it's played a little bit of preseason.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_03]: And if Austin Jackson can stay healthy, I think there's, you know, there's certainly something there and I'm a big fan
- 7:23[SPEAKER_03]: So we shall see and you know, they played one drive in preseason, but it was pretty impressive, so let's see what they can do, but yeah, I'm intrigued to see what how this get you know, it's kind of race to the bottom of the barrel kind of game, but there's a possibility they can win this and and go one and oh and you know, it's a tough schedule, but you know, it's definitely there for the taking of the weekend.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think so.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: I think that this is one of those opportunities.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: If you let it go, now disaster season is, you know, it's on the table, you know, one of those horrific seasons that to endure is on the table.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_03]: I, this is such a nuanced situation that we're in, I think, because we all know it's going to be bad.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_03]: but what is bad in the context of what they're clearly trying to do?
- 8:18[SPEAKER_03]: I've been arguing with some people on social media about this and we want to win and we want this one.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_03]: For the first time what feels like a very long time, there is a definitive plan.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_03]: We have a plan, no other plan is or how do we know what that plan is?
- 8:31[SPEAKER_03]: Well,
- 8:31[SPEAKER_03]: John Erick Sullivan and Jeff Haffley have literally spilled out every single time they open their mouth.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_03]: They tell us what, you know, what they're going to draft, they tell us what they're looking for in players, they tell us what they're going to do in free agency, they tell us, X, Y, and then it happens, they do it all the time.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_03]: and they've come out and they've, they've, 10-pid expectations.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_03]: And they said, look, we're not, we're not going to be judged by wins and losses.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_03]: And quite frankly, I don't really care about wins and losses this season.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_03]: I know what the season's going to be.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that's going to be hard for some people to hear.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_03]: But what I want to do is get to the end of the season and know that we are in a position.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_03]: And whether we end up in the first pick or the third pick or the fifth pick or where
- 9:09[SPEAKER_03]: They're a building blocks on this team.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_03]: Malik Willis, Chris Bell, Caleb Douglas, Patrick Paul, Caleb Proctor, A-Rung Brewer, shock Robinson, Kenneth Grant, Jordan Phillips, Jordan Brook, Jacob Rodriguez, Chris Johnson, Dante Trader, I want to get to the end of the year and know that what the quarterback situation is sorted, left tackle is sorted, A-chan is sorted, obviously.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_03]: We've got Johnson has played well.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_03]: Schopp has gone back to the rookie, that was in the second half of the season.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_03]: And we know that the cornerstone positions are there,
- 9:39[SPEAKER_03]: What I don't want to get to the end of the season is be like, well, chalks are really struggled.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_03]: It's a three-sax and not really played very well.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_03]: Chris Johnson kind of got a lot of quite a lot.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_03]: Caleb Proctor kind of struggled, but look at Caleb Downs and Ruben Bayner's 16-sax and Caleb Downs is an all-cross safe and elite where this isn't.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_03]: I don't care about wins from a league.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_03]: I really don't.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know that goes
- 10:00[SPEAKER_03]: against what a lot of people think.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_03]: I don't, I care about good play, keeping us in games, being able to do some of things that we know he can do.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_03]: If we get to the end of the year, and we're like, oh, no, Malik isn't the guy, chopper isn't the guy.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_03]: So I know it's only one year, but man, that was a rough old year.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_03]: That is a real problem for me.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_03]: If we get to the end of the season,
- 10:20[SPEAKER_03]: I'm convicted on the court back.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_03]: Short Robinson is back 10 sacks, whatever.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_03]: Chris Johnson is really good.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_03]: You know, Proctor looked good.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_03]: Pat Paul is getting the contract.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_03]: We've only got another year left and let's get the contract.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_03]: Let's ease our left tackle.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, and also we've got the first overall peak.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_03]: And we don't need a court back.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_03]: But there's about 16s that won't answer my name.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_03]: And we're going to take an absolute fall.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_03]: and help us to rebuild that.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_03]: That's what I want to see.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_03]: I don't really care about wins and losses.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_03]: I don't really get blown out every week.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_03]: I want to see competitive and I want to see, you know, tough and you know, I think there'll be some close games.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_03]: We might win a couple of games that maybe we don't think that we will.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_03]: And if the offense can get rolling, if he changes to healthy who knows, because that is an intriguing offensive unit.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_03]: But
- 11:02[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sorry to the people that care.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_03]: Enough about wins and losses this season.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_03]: I don't.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_03]: I just care that we are in a position in a year's time where we're sitting and going, well, lads, you know what?
- 11:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we were in one and 16 last year, but eight and eight, nine and seven, kind of.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_03]: We have a many games we now play 43 games in season.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_03]: This looks like, you know, we're building something and in the years, three years time, we're going to be saying it's like, you know what I mean, it's like.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_03]: Those work is that we, the, the, the, blood through that one and 16 season and all of a sudden, Jacob Rodriguez is the all-pro-line macro and Malice 29 and looking, you know, like a top 10 QB and boom, here comes Chris Johnson on that Devon with a spring tip and that's what I want to see.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_02]: Can I just say something real quick though, but before we get into the unit's elf, is week one and week two are the two weeks in the season, more so week one than week two, and I would compare them with week 18, because week 18 is the one where you know, I've right sitting and a bunch of teams are playing for nothing.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_02]: And they go on in which way when they're playing for nothing.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_02]: Week one is the weirdest week of the year of the NFL.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_02]: It's the week of the year that has to be taken with the biggest grain of salt.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_02]: Because every year we see some results in week one that make us think that we've learned about teams.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_02]: And maybe a little bit week two, there's also some weird results like that.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_02]: And then as you get into the season, you realize that that was complete BS.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I liken it to the precies and the week one of the precies and week one of the precies and is for learning about learning things about your team that are obsolete by week two of the precies, you know, like that's that that's just the way it goes and so week one, you could get a result in week one like say the Miami dolphins win by 20 points.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_02]: It could happen like it's it's week one of the NFL season and and it's hard to not read into a result like that, but whatever happens, it's you've got to probably not read into it too much, because that's the way it is.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_03]: We may not get a green in week six because Jordan Schultz says he might be out for up to six weeks having a pretty significant high on constraint.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_00]: AJ Brown.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: AJ Brown.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_03]: AJ Brown.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_03]: AJ Brown.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_02]: AJ Green.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I don't know.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what we're missing.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_03]: Just treat it.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_03]: The entire belief for the Patriots is starlight.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_03]: I just see you.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_03]: AJ Brown could miss three to six weeks with his high ankle sprain injury.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_03]: There's a discussion on if court time I asked him, but we required.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_00]: Last thing here before we go to break.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_00]: The way I look at this roster and I start with you, Chris.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_00]: The way I look at this roster, it's kind of like a house of cards or jenga.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_00]: Like, there's certain positions they can't afford to take any injuries or missed any kind of time.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_00]: Because I think the team then becomes, I don't know, I'm not going to call it dysfunctional, but not operational.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_00]: How about that?
- 14:13[SPEAKER_00]: That's a, that's a better word.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's a better phrase.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_00]: Non operational.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: There's a few positions.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_00]: Like, and you know which ones they are, you know, it's.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_00]: You know, like what happens if Jordan Brooks misses a game, Patrick Paul, Aaron Brewer, you know, Malik was forget it, you know.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_00]: they lose one of the wide receivers.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you can, well, Cas, Merrick, I think is extremely important to this, this run game.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: Because I kind of like the top two tight ends.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_00]: I like nothing else that they have on the roster.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_00]: And we don't know what else they can bring on from either the practice squad.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_00]: We don't know if Sadewtrower is gonna be active on Sunday.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_00]: So, do you look at the roster the way I do?
- 14:52[SPEAKER_00]: Because I look at it as, if you could turn off injuries,
- 14:56[SPEAKER_00]: This is a team that can threaten five wins and could be competitive and maybe two or three more.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_03]: Where do you think they, in all seriousness, where do you think those, like if we say the jet's two radars, what where, amongst the 49ers, chiefs, Vikings, Bengals, Patriots, twice, lions, Colts, bills, twice, bears, co-spackers, charges,
- 15:20[SPEAKER_03]: bills, where is that sector, those other two wings coming though?
- 15:23[SPEAKER_03]: Like Colton, Colton Chargers, Colton, I mean, mate, they're not going to believe the charges.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_00]: Have you seen the interior offensive line of the, of the charges?
- 15:34[SPEAKER_00]: They're on their fifth guard.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_03]: Have you seen me, have you seen the downfield passing ability of that offense compared to our secondary?
- 15:44[SPEAKER_00]: They can't block, if they can't block anybody of front.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm talking about the interior.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_00]: Jordan Phillips.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_03]: I would be surprised.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_03]: Was actually listed on the team at the end of the trade line.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_00]: You don't think that since they're already paid them that he's already in here for the season.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_03]: I had a genuine conversation with somebody yesterday evening what after it happened who somebody who within the NFL who takes me to say if the sound of the injury is really serious, if I was to see hopes I'd be on the phone to the dolphins about my league with this.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_03]: That's from an NFL person, not a like a fan or anything, a proper NFL person.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_00]: Well I heard that I heard that from somebody in the media as well.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_00]: That was just like speculating.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_00]: I'll tell you one thing, if they trade
- 16:37[SPEAKER_00]: because then these people have no conviction whatsoever.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that would have to be, it would just be a very confusing move.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_03]: It would be an extreme confusing move, but I don't think it's going to happen, obviously, but I think the sealer thing could actually happen if they're in six libraries.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_03]: Then what would be the point?
- 16:58[SPEAKER_03]: You would just let the guy go, he's been such a great servant to the club.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_03]: You know, he needs obviously not going to be a part of the, you know,
- 17:04[SPEAKER_03]: two years times, but we're not going to be here.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_03]: Let it go and win something, having 80s ass off for us for five years or how long it is, you know?
- 17:12[SPEAKER_00]: Chris, how much are we off already on Sealer?
- 17:17[SPEAKER_02]: The answer, well, I don't know.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know the answer to that off the top of my head.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_02]: I would just answer Simon's question actually and say that the answer to that question,
- 17:28[SPEAKER_02]: is unknowable at this time because from year to year, the teams that were good last year are not necessarily good the next year.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_02]: Are the Vikings going to be good?
- 17:38[SPEAKER_02]: Do we even know if the chiefs are going to be good?
- 17:40[SPEAKER_02]: Is Patrick Mahomes injured by that point?
- 17:44[SPEAKER_02]: Do we know what do we know about a lot of these teams and how they're going to be this year?
- 17:51[SPEAKER_03]: The Chicago Bears
- 17:54[SPEAKER_02]: just as some of those teams kind of rose from nothing to be good all the sudden they could fall back down and and that's just that happens every single year in the NFL.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_02]: So it's the answer is like where do the other winds come from?
- 18:10[SPEAKER_02]: It's it's unknowable.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_02]: It truly is unknowable because we don't know which of those teams on the schedule are going to show
- 18:19[SPEAKER_03]: one day closer to death, right?
- 18:21[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, yeah, but the point is, I think, I mean, you each in my not agree at all, and a lot of people are listening my not agree.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_03]: I think the dolphins are more likely to not win a game at all than they are to win five games.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_02]: I would take that, but, I mean, I think that I think there are more likely to win five games than to win no games at all.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_02]: I would say that the Raiders, again, it's unfortunate timing that they're the first week of the season because I think that there's a lot of things, what Alf you said.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_02]: about the injuries like we can't afford to get injured.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_02]: I do believe that.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot of places on this roster where if you start taking some injuries, it gets, it gets inconceivably bad.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_02]: And so on the one hand.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_02]: beginning a year when apparently we're all healthy.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_02]: Can we all just say that take a moment there?
- 19:16[SPEAKER_02]: Let's take a beat and and talk about and talk about the fact that the week one injury or fort is basically all just three guys I think that are all gonna play.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_02]: Probably.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and uh, and that's so much different from the injury, the week one injury report.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_02]: Big E the, uh, super fan on social media, uh, you know, pointed this out.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_02]: The week one injury reports of the dolphins in 23, 24 and 25 versus this one are night and day.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_02]: And so right now, they're fairly healthy, which means that they're not in that trouble yet and which means they have the ability to feel the full team.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_02]: I think just it's really unfortunate that it's also a new defense being established with new players, young players, many of them are not very good or at least we don't know that they're going to be very good.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_02]: And so that's a shame that that will take time
- 20:16[SPEAKER_02]: But we don't really know what this team is going to look like in the second half of the year.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_02]: And a lot of the teams in the second half of the year that we think are going to be good are not actually going to be good.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_02]: And so I think that that's where the wins could come from.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_02]: But in terms of this game, it's going to be about whether Kirk Cousins is in position to take advantage of that defense.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_02]: Kirk Cousins, let's be honest, hasn't played well since he tore his Achilles seal three years
- 20:46[SPEAKER_02]: We have not seen Kirk Cousins play well since then and let's just I'm just stating facts at this point and and you would rightly question whether the Las Vegas Raiders would the personnel that they have on offense, especially with Brock Bauer's missing are the environment for Kirk to make its miraculous comeback.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_02]: come back player the year type of, you know, situation.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_02]: I think that that's it's right to ask ask whether that's even possible in this game in week one.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, it's going to come down to and again, we'll get to the units, but I mean, both teams are going to try and go in there and do the same thing.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_02]: they're gonna try to establish the run and they're gonna play boring football and they're gonna be pretty much in the same personal sense so I think both teams are both personal teams.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and so they're, well, I mean, hard to say with Brock Bower's gone, but I mean, like, but they're gonna go out there trying to do the same thing and one's gonna get it the other's not, you know, and I don't know which one that is.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_02]: You know, that's why it's a, or I can't say that I know what certain do which one that is.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_00]: All right, we're gonna go to break and we'll come back.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_00]: We will break up, we'll break down this game and the units and how they'll play.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_00]: But first, let me tell you about my bookie football season is here and Thursdays, Wednesdays this week, Saturdays and Sundays and Mondays just got much more interesting.

- 22:59[SPEAKER_00]: And we're back.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_00]: All right, let's talk a little bit about this, about this game because the way I see it think both teams want to do the same thing.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_00]: They want to run the ball.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_00]: I think with the with the Raiders, uh, Ian Thomas is activated.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_00]: I've always liked him.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_00]: Like he's never really caught on.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_00]: I like to, I believe he wants to end the end, right?
- 23:18[SPEAKER_00]: Ian Thomas?
- 23:20[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, I'm trying to end, I think.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, the tight end.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_00]: He's active in place of Brock Bowers this week.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_00]: So, what's he end the end?
- 23:30[SPEAKER_00]: I believe he was in
- 23:32[SPEAKER_00]: But I remember liking him coming out, and I didn't like him coming out.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_03]: H back, you know, you know, you know, you're right, you know, you know, because she is in the atmosphere.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_00]: And Michael mayor is a guy who, man, I take him in the second.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_00]: I take him right now.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's one of the better under the radar tight ends in the NFL.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_00]: Remember, there's not that many of them.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_00]: Like you could count the elite tight ends in a hand and a half, maybe maybe maybe one hand.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_00]: So I think they're going to be in the in 12 personnel.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_00]: They're trying to get aside to side and stress safety's.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_00]: I think we want to do the same thing to them.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_00]: But I think they'll work those tight ends and attack our safety's by moving them side to side.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_00]: But.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_00]: You got to stop the run.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_00]: If not, that's going to find success.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_00]: Do you see it as simple as that?
- 24:22[SPEAKER_00]: And I'll start with you Simon.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_00]: Is it as simple as that?
- 24:24[SPEAKER_00]: You got to stop the run on first down because if you don't, it starts opening up things like that.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_00]: And quite frankly, Kirk Hudson's a professional quarterback.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_00]: You get a defense moving side to side.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to hit wide open people off a play action.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_00]: Like that's just going to happen.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_03]: The don't have been strengthened.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_03]: The defense is obviously the wrong defense.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_03]: Well, that's the the front guys with
- 24:45[SPEAKER_03]: We're Seela and with Philips and with Eek Bigger's obviously Kenneth Grant and I'm playing hopefully Chock and you know he's looked really good and bumped up and you know to play Ryan and then obviously the second level guys with Jacob and with Jordan and you got
- 25:00[SPEAKER_03]: They're rolling down into the box as well.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_03]: They're going to need it, obviously.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_03]: The raiders upgraded their offensive line with pilot in the bomber centre.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_03]: The addition of white Washington as well, I think is really going to help and spell Ashton Genty.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's going to come in off the ankle sprain through three pieces and says he's a hundred percent.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_03]: So we'll see Michael May as a decent blocker, actually, and obviously, you know,
- 25:29[SPEAKER_03]: So, you know, they're playing without the best player, so I think it's going to have to change the, how their offense works, but yeah, I think stopping the run is going to be absolutely key.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_03]: You want to, you want to put them in, you know, in the long situations, you know, you want them to try and have to find.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_03]: you know, the rookie Benson or Jack Bech or whoever Jalen Nailer.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_03]: So I would expect gentle to catch a lot of balls as well.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_03]: Then Lobby may be out of the back field on a Haywoods got good hands.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_03]: I think I'll try and mix up who they get the ball to.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_03]: And yeah we'll see how it goes but I think the key for the dolphins in the entire game is can they stop, can they stop that running game and you know it'll be interesting to see who plays guard.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_03]: I mean it's
- 26:09[SPEAKER_03]: Jackson Powers Johnson is going to play their birth, but I think Tray Zoon's had a good preseason.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_03]: They've got a really good tack on Colton Miller.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_03]: So, yeah, I just think for the dolphins, if you couldn't stop the round of force, Kirk Customs into third and sixth, third and seventh, whilst then, you know, that is a winning football formula for that defense for a short manion.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_03]: Not a short manion, sorry for him.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_03]: Don Dougan.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_02]: I will say this about the Raiders' offense and I'm not going to sugarcoat it.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_02]: My total lack of respect for the Raiders' offense as it is stacked in this game is only matched by my fear of how bad Miami's defense could be in the first month of the year.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_02]: he is a statue in that pocket.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_02]: DJ Glaze is set to start, I believe, unless I'm very mistaken, that is the starter on the DevTart.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_02]: DJ Glaze is set to start at right tackle.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_02]: If you were to go back a couple of years ago to chop Robinson's rookie year, probably the best game he's had as a Miami dolphin was against DJ Glaze.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_02]: And in that in that Damie at six pressures, I think for them directly on DJ go and DJ plays when we used to talk about how you know chopped as doing really well as rookie possibly even getting in the mix for Deeroy.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_02]: Um, however, the caveat being he did, he did it against some some kind of guys that aren't, you know, the best tackles out there.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_02]: DJ Glaze was one of those, you know, DJ Glaze was one of those guys.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, not the best tackle.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_02]: So, uh, if you get into those third and sixth situation, Simon, um, where there's, you know, chalk Robinson going against DJ Glaze and with the things that chalk showed in this training camp about how how he looks a lot better than he has been in previous years.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_02]: If that comes to fruition, that could be a dominating matchup for the Miami Dolphins, meanwhile Michael are the mayor, the Titan, what is he good at?
- 28:22[SPEAKER_02]: He's good at misdirection and run game stuff, you know, like he's able to execute.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_02]: He would've been, he would've been great Mike McKinney's offense.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_02]: He's good at that kind of stuff, which is kind of a multiplier on their ground game with Ashton Janty.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_02]: But at the same time and the second thing that he's good at is run after the catch because he's a big physical powerful guy.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_02]: So he's going to break tackles.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_02]: But what are the strengths from Miami's defense Miami's defense looks like the strength of it such as it is is run defense Simon as you said.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_02]: and is tackling ability.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_02]: I don't question Dante Trader's tackling ability, you know, as a safety.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_02]: I don't question the tackling ability of Jordan Brooks or even Jacob Rodriguez, even though he's a rookie for that matter.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_02]: I think that the dolphins have tackling ability.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_02]: It's one of the things that I think that they kind of do have.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it is one of the few things that I think the Dawson's defense does have.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_02]: So the the run game with john if johnty can't break those tackles.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_02]: If Michael mayor can't break those tackles.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_02]: And if if DJ glaze can't hold up even a little bit against chop Robinson who owned him last time.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_02]: even as a rookie and hurt cousins can't do anything, you know, escaping pressure because he's kind of a statue and he can't, he also can't play on time because he doesn't have Brock Bowers to play on time with.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_02]: Like Brock Bowers is a big source of that strength of being able to play on time and play on schedule.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_02]: And so you now miss that, then you have a really nasty looking situation for the Raiders' offense.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_02]: So that could probably only be saved if we do the same thing that happened.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_02]: And I think it was 2001, where we injured Chris Chandler and Michael Vick came on the field as the backup quarterback and just completely torched us as a rookie.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_02]: Does that happen?
- 30:25[SPEAKER_02]: Do we get cut cousins off the field and Fernando Mendoza comes on the field and looks different than he did in the preseason because he wasn't great in the preseason.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_02]: You know, everybody should be able to acknowledge that, but does he still look good anyway, because he is number one over all picked.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_02]: He did deserve that.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_02]: And so I think that that's that's one of the dangers for the Dalton's defense.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_02]: But if they, if the Raiders think that they're going to drop back and just pass past pass against Miami's beleaguered secondary.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_02]: Then they're going to have to contend with a Chopper Robinson against DJ Glaze.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to have to contend with some guys that seal or having the ability to get in after the quarterback.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_02]: And I just don't think that's going to be their game plan anyway.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_02]: You know, that's their game plan is going to be to try and establish that wrong, wrong, to try and establish the program just like Miami is.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_02]: And so, and so that it's whether voluntarily they're going to walk into a trap.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_02]: Or whether it's because we just happen to have good matchups against this offense, which we won't have very often this year, then I think that the Raiders offense, you know, should really be quite poor by by rights in this game.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_00]: on offense Simon, as we move toward when the dolphins have the ball, on offense, it looks like Miami can get to a few things here, namely, they do have a superstar on offense and Devon HN.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_00]: So we saw how Jeff Hathley said, you know, he's going to have to help him off the field many games because he's going to get 40 touches, obviously he was being, you know, he was joking there.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_00]: But I do expect them to get 25 touches.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_00]: It is their plan as simple as that to just get HN involved, get eyes on HN and then have Malik Willis play off of him and try to get it to these rookie wide receivers and to the tight ends because it's seen out of all the teams in the NFL there's one that is clear cut.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_00]: I want to call them top heavy, but as predictable as you can be, dolphins can only have success on offense.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_00]: If a chain is rolling.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_00]: If a chain is stopped, they won't have success on offense.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_00]: So really, is it as simple as that?
- 32:55[SPEAKER_00]: A chain just going to get the ball a lot.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_00]: Even in the passing end.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think so.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, look, I think, you know,
- 33:03[SPEAKER_03]: They could have kept the two two act well and the terrorist marshals and all these guys they decided to go with the rookies and I think they did that with a long-term vision but I also think that they were impressing enough by colon, by Douglas and obviously by the athletic hospital you and I have talked about when we're built play and I said, you know, I think Prairie, you know, he might play earlier but you know, I don't really really think you're gonna see the benefit of the benefit of him until the back court or the season but it looks like he's gonna be full go for the weekend
- 33:31[SPEAKER_03]: it will be interesting and intriguing, but yes, it all has to evolve around it has to evolve around Devon HN.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_03]: Now, I think the x-factor for the dolphins will be the ability of milk with this to to move the pocket and to create plays with these legs to pick up, you know, how many times of the years are we talking about being killed on third longs against buffalo and against sunset because Josh couldn't
- 33:55[SPEAKER_03]: Think of my first down on his legs or we played teams and we just, you know, and now we have that guy.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_03]: We've never really had that guy.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know how could do it a little bit.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_03]: But, you know, Malik is a proper proper running quarterback, even though that's not his, you know, Uber as it were.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_03]: But I think his ability to be able to do that and to be able to escape and pick up chunk yards.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_03]: and create explosives with his legs will be extremely important.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_03]: But you know what the rage is going to do, they're obviously going to play as, you know, why wouldn't they?
- 34:25[SPEAKER_03]: They'd be, you know, they'd be rolling dyes down into the box, they'll try and play eight and nine man fronts, you know, and there'll those big linebackers, Dean and Walker will be in behind the big guys.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_03]: up front, you know, that's a Donkey Hemingway or Lalu or whoever they're, you know, they're going to start a DT and, you know, rolling that safety, whether that's polar mal or Jeremy Chin or whoever it's going to be down into the into the books and try and tag a channel.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_03]: But if the Dolphins much like the run game on defense, if they can stop that run game, if they can establish your offense, then I think it's going to go a long way to
- 35:03[SPEAKER_02]: On this side of the ball, I would say that this is going to be the biggest test for or the biggest test that we're going to see are actually the biggest potential for failure that we could see in the Miami offense would be from the offensive coordinator from the play collar Bobby slow it.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_02]: Because I don't see a lot of excuses here with the dolphins offense right now in week one.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's the unit that probably is the most ready to go as opposed
- 35:32[SPEAKER_02]: could be a real problem, particularly at the beginning of the year.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_02]: But also, if you think about what Mike McDaniel was able to manufacture in the run game by using misdirection to create sort of a 7th or 8th block or effect, right?
- 35:49[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that that should be easier for Bobby Slook to do with Malik Willis at quarterback than it was for Mike McDaniel to do with two a total
- 36:00[SPEAKER_02]: You see how that works, it's a lot easier for Bobby slow it to create that misdirection and extra threat because of who he has a quarterback and it's also with the revamped offensive line, if, you know, they and they look pretty good to me, you know, knock on wood, but with that and having will cast merit that tight end.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_02]: And then also having him go back and some of those some of the receivers we have, if you look at the blocking film of, you know, a kale of Douglas and college, let me sign in you, you didn't necessarily even like kale of Douglas and college, but you know that he could block, right, like, you know,
- 36:48[SPEAKER_02]: You know, these are guys that can insert and do things in the blocking department and what I'm saying by this is like you're not going to have a situation where the offensive line is revamped and doing well, but they got let down and you're watching the 22 and you're like, well, who let them down, well, that guy did you know, will customer are the, the tight ended.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_02]: You know, because everybody feels a tight end who's mostly a past catcher and kind of half asses his way through block, that's the NFL right it's not going to be that because who do you have you have will cause Mary, who do you have that you have guys that actually will block their ass off at wide receiver.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_02]: So there's no excuses for not establishing this the ground game with Devon HN and Malik Willis and the guys in the periphery that can cover up.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_02]: And make sure that your offensive line is allowed to shine, the only excuse would be if the Las Vegas Raiders just stack everybody like they're just they're throwing everything at it they're getting up with the line of scrimmage and then what do you do if you're the if you're the offensive coordinator that should be elementary right that that's not that's not supposed to be a hard thing for Bobby slow to figure out how to how to handle that right.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_02]: And if it is, then it starts to ding my confidence in him because the leak will us as Simon correctly pointed out is a guy that can create extra time and extra angles.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_02]: And and and then you've got a secondary out there that's trying to cover a lot of green because there aren't that many of them in the secondary because they're all up on the line of speech.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_02]: And so I think that that should be this is Bobby solox immediate biggest test of the seasons and really the biggest thing that I fear about about what could happen on Miami's offense is, you know, somebody like a Chris Bell does he get the playbook right now, like are there are there turnovers because, you know, Malik will just throw into a spot and Chris bells not there, you know, or or something like or Caleb Douglas for that matter.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_02]: Those are the things that I do fear is, you know, just total miscues, like just totally not know on the play, can't get organized, can't be in the right spot.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_02]: That's the Achilles heel of this offense.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_02]: But otherwise, it's going to be like Bobby Slovak, you better show us that you can actually call plays.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_02]: You know, and come up with game plans because this should actually be kind of easy for you.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_00]: All right, and we're finishing up here with predictions for this game and a win total for the season and I'll start it.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_00]: I'll start just off.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're better than the Raiders.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_00]: Not does that mean that they're going to win by by 20 points?
- 39:38[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_00]: Usually, you know, baby steps.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_00]: So I say Riley Patterson kicks a field goal to win it 2423 as far as a win total whenever I predict a win total.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_00]: I assume perfect health which and when I say perfect health not all 53.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_00]: I'm talking about at every position that matters quarterback left tackle You know the guys Aaron bro or Jordan Brooks They're most important players which is about nine of them that you can't afford to miss any single one of them.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_00]: I go back to that 2019 Where I legitimately thought that zero wins was on the table and their win total was three and a half this team's win total is four and a half
- 40:20[SPEAKER_00]: Brian Flores beat that one by getting the five.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'm saying that Jeff Haffley beats the four and a half number by getting the five.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_00]: So I got him at five and 12.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_00]: Chris.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_02]: And this game, I see a one A and one B is five as possibilities.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_02]: And one A where my gut is based on all the analysis that I just talked about, like quarterback for cousins,
- 40:50[SPEAKER_02]: what my total lack of respect for the Raiders' offense and so on.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_02]: I think that the first possibilities that Miami wins by two touchdown.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's a 24-10 game and I think the second most likely possibilities they lose by 30.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that that's, and that is unfortunate.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_02]: That's, that's the way week one is.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_02]: And that's also the way that sometimes when you're trying to establish a whole new system on defense with all new players and a bunch of new rookies and a bunch of young and a bunch of them, maybe not so good, you know, there's good, like I said at the beginning of this, there's gonna be games where they allow 40 points at least on defense.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think the Raiders are the team to do that.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's it's a very unique that way.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, I do think that I'm going to go on record with a prediction of 2410 for Miami to win this game.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_02]: As for the season, I do think it is just like you, I think the over under is four and a half.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_02]: I do think they'll get the five wins.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_02]: I think they'll get some paid or first off there are some cheapies that they can get in this game, the jet stands, and then Simon, what about week 18?
- 42:05[SPEAKER_02]: What's gonna be happening when week 18 by that time?
- 42:07[SPEAKER_02]: God only knows, right?
- 42:10[SPEAKER_02]: Like you pick up easy wins and week 18 all the time.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_02]: I think that there are just these little pockets where they could stack here and there and actually get the five wins.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_02]: because there will be disappointing teams out there and then there is some team out there that is going to get classically trapped by the Miami dolphins because they don't respect the Miami dolphins and then and then here they are here they are the lobster tracks are out in the block of room and you know and so on and so forth.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_02]: I think so I do think they can get a five
- 42:47[SPEAKER_03]: And tough all year, I think they will stay together.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think that Jeff Haffy will lose the locker room.
- 42:56[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that there are some intriguing pieces on offense in terms of the call back, the running back and the offensive line.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's one of the worst defenses I've seen in a long time.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_03]: I think there's probably only about 32 or 33 probably rustrable, properly rustrable players.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_03]: On the team, and I worry that that secondary is just, you know, when I have to shove that is one of the worst secondarys I've probably ever seen, and we're relying throughout those 10-it glasses on three rookie wide receivers, one of whom's coming up in ACLT.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_03]: At the end, we're relying on a rookie who is known for his blocking ability and a guy who's
- 43:43[SPEAKER_03]: then we're in an even bigger hole.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_03]: And if I caught that goes down, then you've got to learn those what happens.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_03]: On the defensive line, underwhelming first round pick from a year ago, isn't playing for four weeks.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_03]: We're relying on a guy who was extremely underwhelming last year to bounce back, to play like he did in the final court of his rookie season, which is a big enough ask, especially as there's nobody really on the other side.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_03]: So teams can shit him and do what they like with him because they know that he's the kind of the guy that you need to worry about.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_03]: I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't win a single game and I think probably the maximum win total is two, so I suspect there will go any level between 0 and 17 and 2 and 15, I just can't see the winning and even if Josh Allen gets hurt and doesn't play Joe Barrow gets hurt and even if Patrick Barrow, I just think there's a team that's just got way too much, the Dolphins, way too much.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_03]: I think Chris's point is pretty out of sight about
- 44:41[SPEAKER_03]: you know, they could win this game.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know where to touch downs.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_03]: I think if they want it, it would be on a field goal.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_03]: They could also get a blow now by 30.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_03]: It's a tough one to know what to call.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_03]: I think the road is, you know, the road element to this game is kind of key.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_03]: It wouldn't surprise me if they won this game, so I'm going to say 16, 13, old friends, or 13, 10 old friends, but I also wouldn't be surprised if they just got blown out.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_03]: And the season went downhill from that point.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry, I was down the fence, but I genuinely don't really care.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_03]: I came all about the pieces as I talked about the top of the show, then the wins or losses, yeah, winner would be great fun.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_03]: But it's not like we're going to go on this massive playoff search, because the team just ain't good enough if people think that it is.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_03]: Like there were loads of people the other day when we cut to 53 or like, wow, this team's really bad.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, where have you been for the last eight months?
- 45:38[SPEAKER_03]: Like, what have you just been on it?
- 45:40[SPEAKER_03]: Sleepwalking first.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_03]: like eight months.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_03]: So, yeah, I think I'm excited about the next three years.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_03]: I really am and that's saying something for Glass-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half
- 45:57[SPEAKER_00]: All right, and we're gonna call it right there.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_00]: A Monday we will have results and we'll recap this game for you.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_00]: And hopefully we'll recapping the win because if they don't win, I have this as a must, the very rare bad team must win in week one.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_00]: Because like I said, there's so few opportunities and this is one of them.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_00]: Let's hope dolphins grab it.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_00]: All right, that's it.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_00]: There's no more we will talk to you again on Monday.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for listening to three yards per catty.
