- 0:19Hello, and welcome to episode 326 of the All Systems Go Sports
- 0:25Betting podcast powered by Rhythm.
- 0:28I'm your host, Josh Applebaum. What's going on everyone?
- 0:36Happy Wednesday. We are halfway through our work
- 0:39week. It is officially hump day.
- 0:42You know what else of these guys?
- 0:43Little personal note here, it's my anniversary.
- 0:45Second, second year anniversary or two year anniversary I should
- 0:49say. I better get this right and
- 0:51remember moving forward of my wedding day.
- 0:54So two years ago today, I married my beautiful wife Elise.
- 0:58A lot of memories, a lot of great times.
- 1:00We had an incredible night the night before we all got together
- 1:03and we stayed at this awesome little B&B and then the wedding
- 1:07grounds are right there. We got everyone together the
- 1:09night before, watched UFC. We went in the basement of this
- 1:12hotel, called it the war room. Had an incredible time.
- 1:15Then of course, two years ago today we got married.
- 1:18So maybe I'll bring hopefully some some anniversary luck to
- 1:22today's sweats. Wouldn't that be nice?
- 1:24But looking toward today guys, we do have a three pack of
- 1:27sweats for you. I'm going to try to get this pot
- 1:29out a little bit earlier than usual because we got day sweats
- 1:31and I have 3 plays and MLB and all of them are early games.
- 1:35I got a 1235 game which is very early.
- 1:38I'll play on Toronto and Baltimore, then I'll play on Red
- 1:41Sox Minnesota that's at 1:10 and then Cubs in Milwaukee that's a
- 1:452:10 PM Eastern Time first pitch.
- 1:48So 3 early games. Wouldn't it be nice if we could
- 1:50get some winners here? Because you know what, I'm going
- 1:52out to an anniversary dinner tonight at our favorite
- 1:55restaurant. So it would be nice if we could
- 1:56have a a winning day and then nothing to sweat tonight and I
- 1:59can just focus on my beautiful wife.
- 2:01Wouldn't that be nice? Anyway guys looking back toward
- 2:04yesterday, bounced back after a terrible O and three.
- 2:07Went two and one with a + 1 + 0.51 unit night.
- 2:12So got 1/2 unit there, which is good to see.
- 2:14Red Sox came through, had a big lead, almost coughed it up late.
- 2:18Had to bring in Chapman, but they held on to beat the Twins.
- 2:21And then shout out to our guy Will Smith.
- 2:23No, not Big Willy style. Not, you know, Will Smith from
- 2:29if you know any various number of movies Fresh Prince of Bel
- 2:32Air maybe no the Will Smith catcher for the Dodgers because
- 2:34he had a huge hit in the 9th inning, RBI double to give us
- 2:38the win there for the Dodgers. Only loser was the Mets and that
- 2:41was kind of a, you know, nip and tuck game.
- 2:43It was 11 going into the 6th inning and the Padres just went
- 2:46nuts. Scored six runs in the sixth and
- 2:497th. Machado hit a big Homer so
- 2:52couldn't get the Mets, but either way, we accomplished our
- 2:54goal. 2:00 and 1:00 try to get a two out of three bets each.
- 2:57Got a winning night. That's exactly what we did.
- 3:00So let's see if we can keep it rolling here into a big hump
- 3:03day. I do want to mention real quick
- 3:05because tomorrow we do have the NFL Hall of Fame game and I
- 3:08noticed a line move on the Chargers versus Detroit Lions
- 3:14spot here last day, of course, in July.
- 3:17But I did notice, I thought this game might be heading down
- 3:20toward a pick em because we opened Detroit around -1 1/2 got
- 3:23down to one. But guess what, this line just
- 3:26crept back up. We've now seen this line get
- 3:29steam backed up to 1 1/2. And I'm even seeing some shops
- 3:32go to to Detroit -2 I see one book actually.
- 3:35Detroit -2 1/2. So a lot of movement back toward
- 3:38Detroit. Late movement.
- 3:40Hall of Fame favorites are 12 and 667% straight up on the
- 3:44money line, 12% ROI. Last 18 Hall of Fame games.
- 3:48So no play as of as of yet. But maybe we could look toward
- 3:51Detroit. I'm going to do some more
- 3:52research. Got to figure out who's playing
- 3:54and who isn't. I want to look up some of
- 3:56Detroit's numbers with Dan Campbell in the preseason.
- 3:59But a line movement there toward the Lions.
- 4:01So maybe we'll sweat the Lions tomorrow.
- 4:03We shall see. I would just hate to play it now
- 4:05and then see it come back down toward to pick them.
- 4:07But it is notable line crept up a little bit further toward
- 4:10Detroit. With that being said, guys right
- 4:12back to do what we love to do. You know the drill, Benton,
- 4:15Major League Baseball. And I thought maybe I was like,
- 4:18oh, what's going on there? Are there trades going on?
- 4:20The deadline is tomorrow. I think it's what, 6:00?
- 4:24I got a double check. There's a four O clock.
- 4:25But anyway, today's kind of the last day where you actually, you
- 4:29know, of course you need to, you know, figure out who's in and
- 4:32who's out. I did see Austin Slater, kind of
- 4:34a nobody outfielder is on the White Sox just got traded to the
- 4:38Yankees and there was a scratch starting pitcher for for the
- 4:43Chicago White Sox. It was Alexander and then Hauser
- 4:46is now pitching and I'll just mention that odds logic, live
- 4:49odds page. You're really going to need it
- 4:51right now because you're going to see, of course, some scratch
- 4:54starting pitchers, some guys being in or out and you get
- 4:57those pop up notifications if you ever want to give it a shot.
- 5:00That 7 day free trial, 50% off your first month.
- 5:02That's odds logic.com/josh 123. But anyway, guys, let's look
- 5:08toward the slate here for today. First one on the board, 12:35 PM
- 5:11Eastern Time, first pitch, the Blue Jays visiting the red hot
- 5:15Orioles. So going to this one, the
- 5:17Orioles, who are 50 and 58, remember had a terrible start to
- 5:20the year, fired their manager, but they've gotten a little bit
- 5:23hot here second-half. They have taken the first three
- 5:26games of this four-game series. They won the opener, then they
- 5:29swept yesterday's doubleheader, winning 16 to 4 as a -125 home
- 5:34favorite and then winning again three to two in the nightcap as
- 5:37a plus one O 5 home dog. So pitching match up for this
- 5:40early afternoon showdown. In the series finale, we got the
- 5:43Jays, who are 63 and 46. Great record, but they're kind
- 5:46of falling off here a bit. They're going to go with the
- 5:48ready Jose Barrios. He's seven and four with a 3.83
- 5:52ERA. You know, all the O's are going
- 5:54to counter with the fellow ready Dean Kramer.
- 5:56He's 8 and seven with a 4.23 ERA.
- 5:58Now, what are we seeing across the market here?
- 6:01Well, this game opened Orioles around a -, 115 home favorite,
- 6:04Toronto around a -, 1 O 5 Rd. dog.
- 6:07And the public saying give me the Jays.
- 6:09They don't believe in Baltimore. Jays have a far better record.
- 6:12There's no way gamblers fallacy. There's no way the Jays get
- 6:16swept here, right? Well, you're getting currently
- 6:19across the market 65% of money line bets on Toronto.
- 6:22So public is on that trendy dog. However, line pretty much stayed
- 6:27-115 Orioles all morning. And then about an hour ago, we
- 6:31saw a big line move toward Baltimore.
- 6:33So Baltimore was -115 steady and then shot up to -120 -, 125.
- 6:39I like that late movement. Sorry, it's my alarm going off.
- 6:43But that late movement suitable to me because big bets coming in
- 6:46closer to to first pitch looks to me like smart money leaning
- 6:50Baltimore. So that move really sold me.
- 6:52I got down on Baltimore -118 again, shop around some books
- 6:56-120 some books even closer to -125 So as always, try to find
- 7:01the best price and cheapest price for a favorite.
- 7:03Obviously biggest plus money payout if you're on a dog.
- 7:06But anyway, reverse line movement, 65% of bets Blue Jays,
- 7:10but the line is going toward Baltimore.
- 7:12You look at a couple system matches here in Baltimore.
- 7:15Home favorites off a win who made the playoffs the previous
- 7:18year getting line movement in their favor.
- 7:20Those teams are 132 and 6567% this season. 5% ROI.
- 7:26You also look at short home favorites -140 or less with a
- 7:30sub 500 record. Playing opponent with an above
- 7:33500 record. Again, kind of a fishy system
- 7:36match. Why is a below 500 team favored
- 7:38over and above 500 team? You would think it'd be the
- 7:41opposite, and you layer in a short price.
- 7:44Those teams are 49 and 30 to 61%.
- 7:48But because of the short price, there are 9% ROI.
- 7:52Dean Kramer, I want to back Kramer.
- 7:53He's five and two of the 2.65 ERA at home this year, so he's
- 7:57pitched pretty well at Camden Yards.
- 7:59Meanwhile, Jose Berrios, in five July starts, he has a 6.12 ERA.
- 8:04He's given up 17 earned runs in 25 innings pitched.
- 8:08You'll get the Orioles last 10 games pitching much better than
- 8:11the Jays. That's really been the problem
- 8:13with Toronto. They're pitching Toronto last 10
- 8:16games, has a 5.76 ERA. Last 10 games for the O's 3.93
- 8:21ERA. Then you look at a little bit of
- 8:23home Rd. advantage here to Baltimore, they're 27 and 26 at
- 8:27home. Nothing crazy, but one game
- 8:29above 500. Toronto 26 and 29 on the road 3
- 8:33games below 500. So we have public Toronto, but a
- 8:36late steam move feed the trendy dog RLM move toward Baltimore.
- 8:40Two really good system matches, hopefully the better pitcher on
- 8:43the bump. Let's go Kramer.
- 8:44And also one final cherry on top.
- 8:47I popped open the juice reel app, which if you haven't done
- 8:49it yet, go download the newest version of the juice reel app
- 8:52because my buddy Ricky Gold just added a bunch of upgrades and
- 8:55and new features and a really cool layout.
- 8:58But I noticed a 20%, two, zero, 20% sharp mush edge in favor of
- 9:04the Orioles. See how it all up here, guys?
- 9:06Sharp mush edge fade, the trendy dog reverse line move, late
- 9:09steam move. I'm going with the Orioles
- 9:11today. See if they can stay hot at
- 9:13Camden Yards. I got a -, 118 again.
- 9:16Shop around. Most books are -120 -, 125 at
- 9:19this point. Next one for you.
- 9:21Another early game. Let's go right back to
- 9:23Minnesota. Scene of the crime in for two
- 9:26nights ago, but had a good winner with the Red Sox last
- 9:28night. Rubber match today, 1:10 PM
- 9:31Eastern Time first pitch Red Sox at Twinkies.
- 9:34So as I mentioned, the Twins 51 and 56 won the opener 5 to 4.
- 9:38Don't remind me. Should have been a Red Sox
- 9:40winner for us. The Twins walked it off in the
- 9:42bottom of the ninth as a - 110 home pick em.
- 9:45The Sox though, 58 and 51 bounced back with an 8 to 5 win
- 9:49yesterday. Took care of business.
- 9:51Came through as a -130 home Rd. favorite, I should say.
- 9:55Pitching match up here for this afternoon series finale.
- 9:58The Sox are going with the righty Brian Baio.
- 10:01He's six and five. 3.32 ERA mean all the Twins going with the
- 10:05righty Zebby Matthews, who's two and two with a 4.97 ERA.
- 10:09So what are you seeing across the market here this game open
- 10:12Minnesota listed around a -, 130 home favorite Boston around a +
- 10:17110 Rd. Dog and sharps seem to think
- 10:20this line is way too high for Minnesota because this line has
- 10:22fallen away from the Twins and toward the Red Sox.
- 10:25We've seen the Twins fall from -130 down to -120
- 10:29Correspondingly, we've seen the Red Sox go from plus 110 to now
- 10:32plus 100. Some shops even like -1 O 2 - 1
- 10:36O 4 to Boston. So that tells me we have not a
- 10:39not quite a dog to pick a line move, but a dog becoming a
- 10:42shorter dog line move in favor of the Red Sox.
- 10:45Now if you look at DraftKings, Boston's getting 76% of money
- 10:49line bets, 92% of money line dollars at Circa, over 90% of
- 10:55bats in dollars. Heavy on the Red Sox.
- 10:57So we have some some good kind of one way pro and Joe action in
- 11:01favor of Boston here. Now the Red Sox have the better
- 11:03bats. Hoping that continues today.
- 11:06You saw it come through yesterday with Bregman and Jaron
- 11:08Duran. The Red Sox are hitting 252 as a
- 11:11team. They've hit 133 home runs, 532
- 11:14runs scored. Twins, meanwhile, hitting two
- 11:1642124 homers, 450 runs scored. In particular our guy Brian
- 11:23Baio, he has been pretty good this year.
- 11:27He's kind of been hit or miss, you know, his first few years in
- 11:29the bigs, but he's having a career year.
- 11:31He's got his lowest ERA, but in the month of July, 3.13 ERA and
- 11:35five starts, so he's pitched pretty well.
- 11:37He's giving up three earned runs or less in 12 straight starts.
- 11:41So basically he's given us quality starts every time he
- 11:43goes out. And in day games, he's been
- 11:46pretty good too, four and two with a 3.19 ERA.
- 11:51Meanwhile, Mr. Zebby Matthews, he's made two starts in July.
- 11:54He has a 4.5 O ERA, and he's made a few day game starts with
- 11:59an ERA of 7.71. So of course, that leads me to
- 12:03want to back Baio and fade Mr. Matthews, even though I must say
- 12:07Zebby is a fantastic first name. But anyway, if you look at the
- 12:11Red Sox in general, big edge in the bullpen.
- 12:14They had to bring in Chapman yesterday to nail down the save
- 12:17because it got a little hairy there at the end.
- 12:19But the Red Sox do have the better pen.
- 12:20They have an ERA of 3.37. That's the 4th best in baseball,
- 12:244.29 for Minnesota. You also look at the Red Sox
- 12:28last 10 games. Team ERA of 3.74, Twins 5.37.
- 12:33Another angle here that jumped out to me.
- 12:35Day games, the Red Sox are 26 and 9, sorry. 26 and 18 in day
- 12:40games. Minnesota 22 and 31 in day
- 12:44games. So it's pretty clear Red Sox
- 12:46play well in the day. Minnesota does not.
- 12:48We have a line move toward Boston.
- 12:50I also popped open the juice real app and noticed an 11%
- 12:54sharp mush edge in favor of Boston.
- 12:57So the Sox should have gotten us a win in game one and blew it.
- 13:00I I blame the rain delay in that one, but came through last
- 13:03night. They're getting a line move in
- 13:04their favor here today. I'm going to back Baio over
- 13:07Zebby Matthews and follow the sharp mush edge.
- 13:09I got the Sox. You can get them now around plus
- 13:12100 even money. Last bet of the day cubbies.
- 13:17Milwaukee Brew Crew twenty 2:10 PM Eastern Time, first pitch.
- 13:21Let's set the stage. Talk some line movement.
- 13:23I'll give you my play for this one.
- 13:25So the Brewers 64 and 43, I believe the best record in
- 13:29baseball. Can you believe it?
- 13:30Taking the first two games in this three-game set going for
- 13:33the sweep. They won the opener 8 to 4 as a
- 13:36-1 O 5 home dog. They won again yesterday, 9:00
- 13:38to 3:00 as a -130 home favorite for today's afternoon series
- 13:43finale. The Cubbies, who are 62 and 45,
- 13:45they're going to go with the lefty Shota and Managa.
- 13:48He's seven and four with a 3.12 ERA.
- 13:51Meanwhile, the Brew Crew going with the ready Freddy Peralta,
- 13:5412 and four 2.81 ERA. More on Peralta here in a
- 13:57second. He's been really good.
- 13:59This line opened with the Twin, the Minnesota, sorry, the
- 14:02Milwaukee Brewers listed around a -, 115 home favorite.
- 14:06Chicago around a -, 105 Rd. Dog and sharps are very quietly
- 14:11sided with the Brewers to complete this sweep because
- 14:13we've seen Milwaukee get steamed up -115 to -120 some shops even
- 14:18as high as -125 S pretty good. It's not a 10/20 cents the move,
- 14:23but some movement here in favor of the Brew Crew.
- 14:25Now if you look at circa out in the desert where the wise guys
- 14:28are at 67% of money line bets, but nearly 80% of money line
- 14:33dollars are going here with the Brewers.
- 14:36So tells me we're with the the sharps out in Vegas by backing
- 14:39Milwaukee One system match that I really love on Milwaukee home
- 14:43favorites off a win made the playoffs the previous year
- 14:46getting line movement in their direction.
- 14:47This matched a second ago with Baltimore 132 and 6567 percent,
- 14:535% ROI. Milwaukee in particular, you
- 14:56might be asking yourself, hey, how do the Brewers do at home as
- 14:58a home chalk favorite? Well, they're the third best
- 15:01home favorite in baseball. 26 and 1170 percent, 17% ROI as a
- 15:06home favorite. Brewers also have some
- 15:10correlative betting value. Favorite low total total in this
- 15:13game is a very low 7 1/2 juiced under some books even looking
- 15:16like they might drop to 7:00. But that would be a good sign
- 15:18for the Brewers with the fewer amount of expected runs scored,
- 15:22more likely to come from quote UN quote that better team who's
- 15:24expected to win now in managa 4.13 ERA and five July starts,
- 15:29they're giving up 13 earned runs and 28.1 innings pitched.
- 15:33But listen to this Freddie Peralta.
- 15:35I got to check his Cy Young odds.
- 15:37I mean, Skeens is going to win it, but listen to these numbers
- 15:40on the year. I gave it to you a second ago.
- 15:41He's 12 and four with a 2.81 ERA, but he has a 2.51 ERA and
- 15:47five July starts. Milwaukee is 7 and one in his
- 15:50last eight starts and at home this year.
- 15:53Listen to this seven and O 1.55 ERA.
- 15:57So I want to back Peralta in this spot.
- 15:59Brewers meanwhile, going up against the lefty in Managa,
- 16:02they happen to be the 4th best hitting team against southpaws
- 16:05this year, hitting 260. So you got it all up almost
- 16:09might feel like, hey, Cubs can't get swept, they got to win this
- 16:12one. But hey, a little bit of line
- 16:13movement toward Milwaukee. They got their ace on the bump.
- 16:16We got a good system match, pretty good bet splits, little
- 16:19bit of line movement. I'm going brew crew here, guys,
- 16:21shop around. I got the beer makers at -120
- 16:25but again, some books as high as -125 so make sure you get that
- 16:28best price. Orioles, Red Sox, Brewers, let's
- 16:33try to get 2 out of 3 eek out a winning day.
- 16:36So that about does it for episode 326 of the All Systems
- 16:40Go Sports Betting podcast powered by Rhythm.
- 16:43This is the part of the pod where we wrap things up and I
- 16:45start, of course, first by saying thank you.

- 17:28recommend the pod to a friend, colleague, family member, fellow
- 17:31better word of mouth also is a great way to to get turn someone
- 17:36on to something. Next, if you enjoy the style of
- 17:39betting data-driven, sharp, contrarian betting, no parlays,
- 17:43no, you know, hammer this team because they're due.
- 17:46We're not betting based on bias or gut instinct.
- 17:48We're betting based on line movement, bet split system
- 17:51matches, data, quantifiable facts and information, not our
- 17:55our gut bias and instinct. But if this style of betting has
- 17:59kind of open a door for you, you kind of see the merits of it.
- 18:02You now enjoy staying at your Odds Logic live odds page and
- 18:05looking for sharp moves and trying to identify steam and
- 18:07taking a contrarian approach. Well, if that's the case and you
- 18:10want to learn more about data-driven betting or you have
- 18:13someone in your life who could use some data-driven tips, I
- 18:15would love if you wanted to go to Amazon.com and type in the
- 18:19Everything Guide to Sports betting.
- 18:21It's the first book I ever wrote, very proud of it.
- 18:24But it's got everything I've learned in the industry.
- 18:26It's really kind of geared toward brand new betters or
- 18:28novice betters, but there's also a lot of great tips and
- 18:31strategies for kind of intermediate betters.
- 18:33Get into a lot of system matches and stuff like that.
- 18:36But it's got everything I've learned from how lines are set,
- 18:38how and why they move, how to read line movement, how to
- 18:40locate sharp action, how to place them in person or online,
- 18:43how to shop for the best line, how to set up a bankroll
- 18:46management strategy, how to go contrarian, all included in the
- 18:49Everything Guide to sports betting.
- 18:51While you're picking up the everything guide on Amazon.com,
- 18:54stay on Amazon.com and then type in the NFL Sharp betting
- 18:57playbook. It's my new baby.
- 18:59It's coming out two weeks from yesterday.

- 20:44Give him a five star review in the App Store mentioned earlier,
- 20:47but again, baseball right now we got a loaded slate.
- 20:50We got people getting traded, injuries, scratch starting
- 20:53pitchers. You need odds logic, especially
- 20:56right now. Odds logic is a great live odds
- 20:58page. First off, you need a live odds
- 21:00page in general if you're going to be a day driven better
- 21:02because you got to know all the games available to bet that day,
- 21:04the start times, the live scoring, the live in game
- 21:07wagering odds, but really importantly, tracking the
- 21:10market. What did the line open that?
- 21:12How was it move? Which direction as it move, pull
- 21:14up the line history, identify steam when a team gets lit up in
- 21:18red. I'll give you an example.
- 21:20The when the White Sox guy was scratched on odds logic, there
- 21:23was a pop up and then immediately I saw the Phillies
- 21:25go from like -140 to like -160 all lit up in red.
- 21:29So the advantage there is if you're quick enough, you can
- 21:32still find a book hanging like a -, 140.
- 21:35But Odds Logic is great for all sports and I'd love for you guys
- 21:37to give it a shot, test it out now so that the time when
- 21:40football comes back, you're kind of used to it and know how to
- 21:43know how to identify everything. You can go to this special link
- 21:47to get 7 day free trial 50% off your first month.
- 21:50Odds logic.com/josh 123. So that's it guys.
- 21:56Episode 326 of the ASG Pod. As always, whether I see you at
- 21:59the Borgata in Atlantic City, Twin River in Rhode Island, the
- 22:02Brooklyn, New Hampshire, Foxwoods or Mohegan Sundown,
- 22:05Connecticut, at the Encore in Boston, Plain Ridge Park,
- 22:08Casino, MGM, Springfield, or of course, out in the desert where
- 22:11the true grinders get down or Billy Walter sends his number
- 22:14runners where the lowest juice possible is found at the South
- 22:16Point. Or sweat and sharp contrarian
- 22:18plays when Will Smith gets a 9th inning RBI double for us at
- 22:23Circa. You're going to walk up to me,
- 22:25show me a Dodgers ticket, show me a Red Sox ticket.
- 22:28First one's on me, next one's on you.
- 22:30We'll sweat some games here today and try to get some more
- 22:32winners. So as always, guys two and one,
- 22:34one and two, three and OO and three off.
- 22:37A great day, a bad day, mediocre day.
- 22:39Whether we're hot, whether we're cold, you just got to keep
- 22:41grinding. Stick to the long term approach,
- 22:44stay disciplined with our bankroll management and just
- 22:47keep grinding the system matches.
- 22:49You guys might know by now, system matches go a little bit
- 22:51like this, against the public, with the house, with the pros.
- 22:55Flat bet, avoid parlays and get that CLV.
- 22:57If we can do that long term, they'll be ups and downs along
- 23:01the way. Sports betting is a roller
- 23:03coaster. It ain't easy, but this is this
- 23:05is the model that I've been taught and I know it works and
- 23:07we just keep grinding it and take that forest amongst the
- 23:10trees. Approach marathon, not a Sprint.
- 23:13So good luck everyone. Have a fantastic Wednesday and I
- 23:17will see you guys tomorrow for a big Thirsty Thursday edition.
- 23:20That'll be episode 327 of the All Systems Go sports betting
- 23:24podcast powered by Rhythm. Good luck everybody and have a
- 23:27great Wednesday.
