- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hey guys, welcome to the Almost Famous Podcast. Today we
- 0:08Speaker 2: have a special guest who I never met before, but
- 0:11Speaker 2: she did an interview with Ben back during her season.
- 0:15Speaker 3: It is Ariel Frankl. Hello and welcome to the show.
- 0:19Speaker 3: We're so glad to have you back.
- 0:21Speaker 4: I'm so excited to be back.
- 0:22Speaker 5: We interview people all the time on the show, Aerol.
- 0:26Speaker 5: Why do you make me nervous?
- 0:28Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 0:28Speaker 2: I know she I may have put makeup on early
- 0:31Speaker 2: because Ariel.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Is coming on, do I Yes, Yeah, make.
- 0:35Speaker 6: Me nervous, like maybe intimidation.
- 0:38Speaker 5: Maybe it's like I think when the first time we spoke,
- 0:43Speaker 5: like we had a good conversation, but I feel like
- 0:46Speaker 5: you were like there was a like something defensive going
- 0:48Speaker 5: on at time, so you were like protecting a little
- 0:50Speaker 5: bit and you were like questioning me back and I was.
- 0:53Speaker 4: Like, oh was I I don't.
- 0:55Speaker 5: Know if I just in my mind, yes, preparing for this,
- 1:00Speaker 5: I was nervous and I never get nervous.
- 1:02Speaker 6: But we're so happy you're here.
- 1:04Speaker 4: I'm so happy to be here. Eric. A lot of
- 1:07Speaker 4: people say that to me.
- 1:08Speaker 7: People think that I'm both people that know me think
- 1:11Speaker 7: this is really funny that people categorize me as mysterious
- 1:14Speaker 7: or intimidating. But I think I just sometimes say less.
- 1:18Speaker 7: It depends on how much much I've had, and right
- 1:20Speaker 7: now I've had a.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Lot, so okay, so let me say this on Zoom
- 1:24Speaker 2: right now, you're coming across a little less intimidating than
- 1:27Speaker 2: I thought you were on the show on Zach season.
- 1:29Speaker 2: If you guys don't remember, she was the third place
- 1:31Speaker 2: on Zach season and you were definitely like the sexy
- 1:35Speaker 2: girl like everybody. I think we called you like sex
- 1:37Speaker 2: panther part two.
- 1:38Speaker 3: That's like I'll take it that.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Yeah, Like you've got that like sultry voice and like
- 1:44Speaker 2: just the dark features. You're just like meeah right, and
- 1:48Speaker 2: and you still are like that right now on Zoom,
- 1:50Speaker 2: but I have smiling You're like brighter and little less mysterious.
- 1:57Speaker 2: But you also present yourself very sultry on Instagram. I
- 2:01Speaker 2: feel like, yeah, you document your dating life in a very.
- 2:07Speaker 3: Well, I don't want to use the word more serious again,
- 2:09Speaker 3: but like kind of cryptic way.
- 2:12Speaker 7: I am kind of cryptic online sometimes well I feel
- 2:14Speaker 7: like Instagram is more cryptic and TikTok is more open.
- 2:17Speaker 4: Okay, and I do.
- 2:18Speaker 7: I feel like the two platforms are very different. So
- 2:21Speaker 7: on TikTok, I'm a little.
- 2:21Speaker 4: Bit more like playful and don't really care as much.
- 2:24Speaker 7: But I feel like Instagram has this like impression that
- 2:27Speaker 7: you can't really give too much sometimes unless I'm doing
- 2:29Speaker 7: a Q and A. When it comes to dating, I
- 2:31Speaker 7: feel like I'm oddly kind of private because the people
- 2:34Speaker 7: that I actually like to actively date are very private, okay,
- 2:38Speaker 7: so I always have to kind of respect their privacy
- 2:41Speaker 7: and the what I do publicly, I keep them hidden always.
- 2:44Speaker 7: I've had boyfriends for like two years, even before the show,
- 2:46Speaker 7: I probably post them once, so dou to.
- 2:49Speaker 6: Request well this, I mean, this kicks me off. My
- 2:52Speaker 6: first question. You have a comment about dating older men.
- 2:57Speaker 5: It's I think it was something along the lines that
- 2:59Speaker 5: it's great until it's not. And I'm not going to
- 3:03Speaker 5: ask a lot of follow ups to try to like
- 3:05Speaker 5: figure out what you mean by that. I just want
- 3:07Speaker 5: you to explain what you mean by that and why
- 3:11Speaker 5: this was even something you thought you should bring to
- 3:13Speaker 5: the public's attention.
- 3:15Speaker 7: I know, I like really tapped into the in cells
- 3:17Speaker 7: for that. Then the thumb cells are defending me.
- 3:20Speaker 4: She's not that old, she's in her forties, and she
- 3:22Speaker 4: still got it. I was like, you guys are not
- 3:24Speaker 4: helping me. It's not like the defense that I want.
- 3:28Speaker 7: They're like, she's fifty five, nothing wrong with that age,
- 3:30Speaker 7: but that's just not Hilda Am. I had a drafts
- 3:33Speaker 7: file when everyone thought TikTok was going to be banned.
- 3:35Speaker 4: Who knows where it's even at.
- 3:36Speaker 7: Right now, And I just made all these drafts one night,
- 3:39Speaker 7: and that was one of them because I had had
- 3:41Speaker 7: a period of time where I was randomly going out
- 3:43Speaker 7: with When I say older man, it's like under fifty.
- 3:46Speaker 7: Not talking about people that will be in Golden Bachelor,
- 3:49Speaker 7: if you will, even though I guess the beach is
- 3:51Speaker 7: going to be mixed. But I think that there is
- 3:55Speaker 7: a certain archetype, particularly in New York City and in
- 3:57Speaker 7: certain cities where guys reached out like mid forties, and
- 4:02Speaker 7: I find that they don't necessarily evolve, and they start
- 4:05Speaker 7: dating younger and younger and younger.
- 4:07Speaker 4: And that's not every man.
- 4:08Speaker 7: That's not every man miss forties and so on, but
- 4:10Speaker 7: there is this like single guy with a certain level
- 4:12Speaker 7: of affluence and exposure and all these things that they
- 4:15Speaker 7: are very.
- 4:17Speaker 4: Immature and a little.
- 4:19Speaker 7: Bit narcissistic and so on, and I just had a
- 4:21Speaker 7: few experiences back to back. This It's a random draft
- 4:24Speaker 7: that I was making, but it really like blew up
- 4:27Speaker 7: on both platforms, and I didn't think it would cause
- 4:29Speaker 7: such a stir. I thought i'd probably archive it, but
- 4:32Speaker 7: people really had a lot to say, and a lot
- 4:34Speaker 7: of people trauma dumped and really got in there.
- 4:35Speaker 4: So I'm clearly not the only one that's had that experience.
- 4:38Speaker 7: But I find it's like a misconception that if someone
- 4:40Speaker 7: is older or of a certain age, that they're ready
- 4:43Speaker 7: for marriage, ready for a partnership, or ready for these things.
- 4:46Speaker 7: And it's also a misconcepted if someone hasn't been married
- 4:48Speaker 7: by a certain point that they're not. But I find
- 4:50Speaker 7: that a lot of certain guys, particularly in New York
- 4:53Speaker 7: and what I'm exposed to, I find that they are
- 4:56Speaker 7: not ready for even a relationship at all.
- 4:58Speaker 4: And I was kind of starting to see why.
- 5:01Speaker 3: I can't understand that with the New York City Bachelor.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Now, somebody who's older than you, I don't think he's
- 5:06Speaker 2: close to fifty, but he he's definitely in his forties,
- 5:10Speaker 2: is criminal minds. Matthew Gray Goobler. You went on a
- 5:14Speaker 2: date with him and he has like the nerdiest aura.
- 5:19Speaker 2: What's he like in real life?
- 5:22Speaker 7: Well, we were just friendly, he is. He's like a
- 5:26Speaker 7: very sweet guy. That video is not about him, by
- 5:29Speaker 7: the way. His aura is very.
- 5:32Speaker 4: Similar to what people anticipate.
- 5:34Speaker 7: He's just like a nice, sweet guy and very aloof
- 5:37Speaker 7: and quirky and kind of all the things that he
- 5:39Speaker 7: presents himself.
- 5:39Speaker 3: As any other celebrity guys you've dated.
- 5:43Speaker 4: I've signed so many n das I'll ever say.
- 5:45Speaker 6: Oh, it's so good.
- 5:46Speaker 5: I love that response, so you prepared for that goodness?
- 5:50Speaker 4: No way to like avoid the question. I like to
- 5:54Speaker 4: protect people, So if I'm going to date someone, That's.
- 5:57Speaker 7: Why I keep things very vague, because I just find
- 5:59Speaker 7: that if you ever, even if I were to give
- 6:02Speaker 7: like extreme details of an experience, someone will have some
- 6:05Speaker 7: sort of response, and I just don't want to air
- 6:06Speaker 7: someone's laundry. I'll talk about how they affected me and
- 6:08Speaker 7: my experiences or like how they've.
- 6:10Speaker 4: Shaped me and things like that. But I just think
- 6:12Speaker 4: like bashing exes or bashing people that I've gotten.
- 6:15Speaker 7: To know for a period of time, whether we ended
- 6:16Speaker 7: in a bad way or not, just as like a
- 6:18Speaker 7: bad reflection on me. So I just find like going
- 6:21Speaker 7: down that road is just never going to be a
- 6:23Speaker 7: good thing for me, or.
- 6:24Speaker 4: For them, or for anyone.
- 6:26Speaker 7: And I think everyone has very different experiences when people
- 6:28Speaker 7: break up and so on, So I think I could
- 6:31Speaker 7: give a lot of like t and all these things,
- 6:33Speaker 7: but just like wouldn't really be the same, like if
- 6:36Speaker 7: everyone leaves a breakup with the same like a different
- 6:38Speaker 7: experience ultimately.
- 6:40Speaker 6: Be I think, Okay, this is a two part question
- 6:42Speaker 6: for you.
- 6:42Speaker 5: It's going to go back to what we were just
- 6:44Speaker 5: talking about, but then I want to give some insight
- 6:48Speaker 5: into how this dating world is working for you.
- 6:51Speaker 6: It's always interesting.
- 6:53Speaker 5: And I could name about four names I was thinking of,
- 6:55Speaker 5: and I'm not going to compare them with you or
- 6:58Speaker 5: to you, because you're all different, but you all kind
- 6:59Speaker 5: of have this similar sophistication, the similar outlook on life,
- 7:07Speaker 5: similar kind of vibe when we watch you on television,
- 7:10Speaker 5: and I always think it's interesting that you chose to
- 7:14Speaker 5: go on this show. It feels I don't want to
- 7:17Speaker 5: say beneath you because I was a bachelor. That would
- 7:20Speaker 5: be a very bad dis to me, and Ashley.
- 7:23Speaker 4: You also signed it an NDA.
- 7:25Speaker 5: Yeah, it does feel weird for you to say yes
- 7:29Speaker 5: to it. It feels weird for you to agree to it,
- 7:32Speaker 5: especially with what we've just been talking about.
- 7:35Speaker 6: Why did you say yes?
- 7:37Speaker 7: So?
- 7:37Speaker 4: I have two sides to my personality.
- 7:39Speaker 7: I have a serious side and a side that needs
- 7:41Speaker 7: to step up in certain ways, whether it be professional
- 7:43Speaker 7: or whatever it is. But I also have a side
- 7:44Speaker 7: that is way too impulsive and just kind of says
- 7:47Speaker 7: yes because I would like to have a lot of
- 7:48Speaker 7: life experiences before I settle down or do certain things
- 7:51Speaker 7: or get to like a certain.
- 7:52Speaker 4: Phase of my life.
- 7:53Speaker 7: So my friend applied me, and I got a call
- 7:57Speaker 7: so quickly that I honestly didn't even really have time
- 8:00Speaker 7: to think about it. So I kind of did it
- 8:02Speaker 7: because they also breadcrumbed me a bit, Like they called
- 8:05Speaker 7: me in May and I thought it was a straight
- 8:07Speaker 7: like I thought it was a completely unrelated person calling,
- 8:10Speaker 7: and then they would call me every two weeks, so
- 8:12Speaker 7: they kind of treated me like a dating situation.
- 8:14Speaker 4: Was kind of like a guy where like.
- 8:16Speaker 7: Every time I thought they forgot about me or were
- 8:17Speaker 7: an interested or I was about to take another job,
- 8:20Speaker 7: or like I was about to work in the startup space,
- 8:22Speaker 7: and I was holding off interviews because this summer they
- 8:25Speaker 7: if they started calling me in May, I didn't get
- 8:27Speaker 7: a call that I was officially on the show until
- 8:29Speaker 7: September or mid September, so it was like this bread
- 8:31Speaker 7: crumbing back and forth, and by the time I actually
- 8:34Speaker 7: got the call, I was like, why not. Honestly, the
- 8:37Speaker 7: dating scene is so bad in New York, I might
- 8:39Speaker 7: as well pursue an opportunity where I'm going to meet
- 8:41Speaker 7: someone that is so outside of the people I've been
- 8:43Speaker 7: exposed to that like, no matter what happens, all I
- 8:46Speaker 7: grow as a person, or I'll meet my partner or
- 8:48Speaker 7: something good will come out of it. So I didn't
- 8:50Speaker 7: really have like I had a lot of time to
- 8:52Speaker 7: like think, but because it was like every three weeks
- 8:54Speaker 7: or every two weeks or things like that, every time
- 8:56Speaker 7: I forgot about them, I was then re reminded, so
- 8:58Speaker 7: I didn't get to like it wasn't like in May,
- 9:00Speaker 7: I like have four months to think about it. I
- 9:02Speaker 7: had two weeks before I had to leave for the show,
- 9:05Speaker 7: so I didn't really get to like overthink it too much.
- 9:18Speaker 5: The fault that is you're off the show now you
- 9:20Speaker 5: said yes to it. You're talking about you're dating in
- 9:23Speaker 5: New York. It does feel like you're actively dating, like
- 9:29Speaker 5: you're going on cool dates, you're making friendships. At times
- 9:32Speaker 5: you're calling them like you're friendly or whatever. But you're
- 9:35Speaker 5: out there, you're like hanging.
- 9:36Speaker 6: Out with people. How are you meeting people?
- 9:38Speaker 5: Because the common thing we hear on this show and
- 9:43Speaker 5: even outside of the show is it's not the going
- 9:46Speaker 5: on a date that's hard, that it's finding even a
- 9:49Speaker 5: date to go on that's the most difficult.
- 9:51Speaker 6: So how are you even finding these people to go
- 9:53Speaker 6: on dates with?
- 9:54Speaker 4: Well, they kind of find me.
- 9:56Speaker 7: I feel like I go out, I say yes to
- 9:57Speaker 7: a lot of opportunities, even like the worst event that
- 10:00Speaker 7: I'm invited to, it's like, I don't know, like a
- 10:02Speaker 7: taco stand opening, Like I will say yes a lot
- 10:05Speaker 7: of the time, and I will meet people randomly through
- 10:08Speaker 7: things like that. So I'm just more of a yes
- 10:11Speaker 7: man still. And that's what got me into the show
- 10:13Speaker 7: and what has also got me into different dating situations.
- 10:16Speaker 7: And I think that in going out all the time,
- 10:19Speaker 7: you're going to meet a lot of people, whether that
- 10:22Speaker 7: be like a friend that then introduces you to someone
- 10:24Speaker 7: and they're like, I have someone that's great for you,
- 10:26Speaker 7: even if you don't vibe with someone. I think that
- 10:28Speaker 7: the more you just say yes to plans of different things,
- 10:30Speaker 7: the more you'll meet people. But there's definitely a drought
- 10:33Speaker 7: happening where I'm not even going on as many dates
- 10:35Speaker 7: as I used to. And there's this like weird March drought,
- 10:39Speaker 7: like post February, post pre summer, like there is a drought.
- 10:44Speaker 4: I have not been on a date in a minute.
- 10:46Speaker 3: It's not coughing season and it's not summer fleeing.
- 10:49Speaker 4: No.
- 10:49Speaker 7: I'm compiling a list of all the weird messages men
- 10:51Speaker 7: have sent me and I might make a TikTok about it,
- 10:53Speaker 7: because like it's been a weird dry season and I
- 10:56Speaker 7: feel like people have been really.
- 10:57Speaker 4: There's been no one that's like interested me in a
- 10:59Speaker 4: long time.
- 11:00Speaker 6: Hmm.
- 11:01Speaker 2: So we had some of your girls you have a
- 11:02Speaker 2: girl crew from Zach season. Yeah, And we had you
- 11:05Speaker 2: guys go away on trips like every couple of months.
- 11:07Speaker 2: It's really awesome. We had a few on a month
- 11:10Speaker 2: or so ago. I think it was a Gallantine' say
- 11:12Speaker 2: episode and they were like, they're like, oh, Ariel will
- 11:17Speaker 2: date anyone like she has a wide range of taste,
- 11:23Speaker 2: like wink face, Is there any illusion in this there?
- 11:27Speaker 7: Okay, the girls make fun of me because I have
- 11:30Speaker 7: a thousand different types, Like I genuinely don't have a type,
- 11:33Speaker 7: but I have a particular type that they think is
- 11:35Speaker 7: really funny because I kind of like sometimes I don't
- 11:38Speaker 7: actually end up dating them full on, but like like
- 11:41Speaker 7: pre dating if you will, like not boyfriend or girlfriends, yeah,
- 11:44Speaker 7: because those are very different. I have a type that
- 11:46Speaker 7: like wears very high waisted pants, has like an earring,
- 11:50Speaker 7: is very hipster, is like a starving artist kind of vibe.
- 11:53Speaker 4: Huh. So I have like this type that they just
- 11:55Speaker 4: don't relate to it all. So I guess they're more
- 11:57Speaker 4: into like jocks and things like that.
- 11:59Speaker 7: And I have a type that is like very hipster
- 12:02Speaker 7: sometimes like don't swear peak of New York, like these
- 12:06Speaker 7: guys that are like smoking a cigarette in the back
- 12:08Speaker 7: of an alley way being like with a weird accent
- 12:10Speaker 7: that you can't identify even though they're from the States.
- 12:13Speaker 7: So they all make fun of like, I guess my
- 12:15Speaker 7: international taste because.
- 12:16Speaker 4: I like guys.
- 12:18Speaker 3: Yeah, no, never mind.
- 12:19Speaker 2: They made it seem way juicier than this, Like you
- 12:21Speaker 2: had some secrets.
- 12:23Speaker 4: I definitely have a lot of secrets, but.
- 12:27Speaker 7: I can't really keep my own secrets, so I can
- 12:28Speaker 7: keep other people, so it's like mutually shared.
- 12:32Speaker 5: In another life, I think I would have, like if
- 12:34Speaker 5: I had a better hairline, like grow my hair out
- 12:36Speaker 5: and in rock that vibe.
- 12:38Speaker 6: Like I see myself in that guy.
- 12:40Speaker 3: I'm like, I think, yeah, that's not a weird type
- 12:44Speaker 3: to me.
- 12:44Speaker 2: Like I grew up with my sister that's that's her
- 12:46Speaker 2: type to a tea, but she's not marrying that type currently.
- 12:50Speaker 7: It's hard to marry that type unless they're like secretly
- 12:52Speaker 7: like doing some sort of side hustle or something else
- 12:56Speaker 7: and they're like secretly like they're all kind of lovers,
- 12:58Speaker 7: but they love women too much.
- 13:00Speaker 4: If you will so they will see you then your
- 13:02Speaker 4: best friend and all these things. Yeah, so there is
- 13:04Speaker 4: like an issue that type.
- 13:05Speaker 7: But the girls think it's so funny because like they're
- 13:07Speaker 7: very like fem guys that I've been out with, and
- 13:09Speaker 7: they kind of dress very feminine.
- 13:10Speaker 4: Sometimes there was photos that came out.
- 13:12Speaker 7: Of a French guy that I was seeing in like
- 13:14Speaker 7: full like a dress and everything, but oddly a part
- 13:17Speaker 7: of me thinks that's very masculine. So like if people
- 13:19Speaker 7: can make fun and poke fun of certain things, so
- 13:22Speaker 7: too boring.
- 13:23Speaker 6: I'm so boring.
- 13:25Speaker 5: We're in a backwards hat and like I look good today,
- 13:29Speaker 5: that's boring.
- 13:30Speaker 2: Everything is every girl likes a backwards hat and a
- 13:33Speaker 2: guy's a sweatshirt, Like that's probably the most universally liked
- 13:36Speaker 2: thing you could wear.
- 13:37Speaker 4: It is. And also depending on the earring, Yeah, it
- 13:40Speaker 4: really depends for me.
- 13:41Speaker 7: Yeah, I walked into a party the other day and
- 13:43Speaker 7: everyone had an earring on.
- 13:44Speaker 4: I was like, in a high waisted pain, so are
- 13:47Speaker 4: they making fun of me? Everyone was from a different
- 13:52Speaker 4: part of Europe what it is?
- 13:53Speaker 5: So I was like, hello, okay, wild question here. So
- 13:59Speaker 5: we've talked about all that and I think we've prepared
- 14:00Speaker 5: ourselves for this moment. You mentioned Paradise briefly there. I
- 14:07Speaker 5: guess the first question is would you say yes? And
- 14:09Speaker 5: then second, would you be the one that would maybe
- 14:13Speaker 5: go on a date with one of the goldens?
- 14:17Speaker 7: You would think based on that TikTok probably yeah, I
- 14:21Speaker 7: don't think so. I think above the highest that I have.
- 14:25Speaker 7: I mean, I went out with a fifty year old
- 14:26Speaker 7: We did not kiss old.
- 14:28Speaker 3: How old are you?
- 14:30Speaker 4: I'm thirty? Okay, No, I don't think so. I had
- 14:33Speaker 4: no offense to them.
- 14:34Speaker 7: I think I learned a lot from older men and
- 14:36Speaker 7: they offer a lot of information knowledge, But to actually
- 14:40Speaker 7: date someone in their fifties or sixties is just not
- 14:42Speaker 7: what I'm looking for.
- 14:44Speaker 6: Okay, would you say yes to Paradise? So you didn't
- 14:46Speaker 6: answer that question, I know I screweded it.
- 14:49Speaker 3: That's all we need to know.
- 14:50Speaker 6: Moving on.
- 14:51Speaker 4: I'm definitely open to it.
- 14:53Speaker 7: I feel like I'm again kind of in a similar
- 14:54Speaker 7: phase I was in when I first of the show.
- 14:56Speaker 7: I'm in a very open place now. I'm very open
- 14:59Speaker 7: to new experiences. Again, it's like a drought out here.
- 15:01Speaker 7: I can't even find a hipster to kiss, so not
- 15:05Speaker 7: that I'll find one on the beach, but I I'm
- 15:07Speaker 7: very open minded right now. So I'm definitely open to
- 15:10Speaker 7: doing Paradise. I'm definitely open to new experiences right now
- 15:13Speaker 7: and meeting new people. It just depends if there's people
- 15:16Speaker 7: on the beach that are actually serious about that.
- 15:18Speaker 6: Ashlely.
- 15:19Speaker 5: I'll say this after the last couple weeks of interviews
- 15:22Speaker 5: leading out the Paradise.
- 15:23Speaker 6: These dudes are gonna be very lucky.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Well, I'm sorry, it's always the guys are the luckier half.
- 15:29Speaker 5: I mean, if theirs do you say yes, especially from
- 15:32Speaker 5: like Zach season and you know the season of Grants
- 15:35Speaker 5: that we just watched. Yeah, like those dudes are gonna
- 15:38Speaker 5: be like they're gonna they're gonna be nervous like the
- 15:41Speaker 5: whole time.
- 15:41Speaker 6: It's gonna be the best.
- 15:43Speaker 4: Nervous as they should be.
- 15:44Speaker 7: Yeah, I even I haven't entered, so I've I've started
- 15:48Speaker 7: to go to dates early because I feel like when
- 15:50Speaker 7: you go early and you're sitting there first, the person
- 15:52Speaker 7: arrives kind of flustered and nervous.
- 15:54Speaker 3: Oh heck, yeah, you have the upper hand.
- 15:55Speaker 7: It's not even an upper hand because I really like
- 15:58Speaker 7: to make guys feel super comfortable. That's kind of like
- 16:00Speaker 7: the misconception of being mysterious in all these things. And
- 16:02Speaker 7: I'm actually on a date with someone, I want them
- 16:04Speaker 7: to feel super comfortable.
- 16:05Speaker 4: So then like highly overshare with me.
- 16:08Speaker 7: I'll be like, oh, I probably shouldn't know that, but
- 16:09Speaker 7: I'll make you feel comfortable. They're like killed my ex
- 16:11Speaker 7: girlfriend and I'm like, that's so so brave.
- 16:16Speaker 4: Where is she buried? So I could call me the
- 16:18Speaker 4: I after. So I really like to make people feel comfortable.
- 16:22Speaker 7: But I find that guys are a lot more nervous
- 16:25Speaker 7: on dates and are just nervous in general.
- 16:27Speaker 4: I think we always like.
- 16:28Speaker 7: Separate guys and girls in a certain way in terms
- 16:30Speaker 7: of dating, but they're people too, you know, they get
- 16:33Speaker 7: nervous like we do.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Well, we just had Gabby Ill Nicky you'r you know,
- 16:40Speaker 2: friend from the show from Zach season, and she was
- 16:43Speaker 2: talking about how normal it is for you guys to
- 16:46Speaker 2: go over to Zach's house and just hang out with
- 16:48Speaker 2: Katie and he's just in the background, and you're like, Hey.
- 16:51Speaker 3: What's up.
- 16:51Speaker 2: I had a fantasy suite with you, but nobody remembers that,
- 16:54Speaker 2: not you or me.
- 16:55Speaker 4: I mean, they definitely misportrayed our fantasy suite.
- 16:58Speaker 7: But I think over time, it's been such a long
- 17:01Speaker 7: time now since that experience, and we've all had so
- 17:04Speaker 7: many lives. I probably had like five hundred secret boyfriends
- 17:06Speaker 7: since then.
- 17:09Speaker 3: You are seriously such an interesting person.
- 17:13Speaker 2: I think that throughout this interview, I think you're cooler
- 17:15Speaker 2: and cooler, more intimating.
- 17:18Speaker 7: Oh my god, I don't really know if I like
- 17:20Speaker 7: the intimidating thing but I can't help, but I guess.
- 17:23Speaker 7: But I find that it's so easy to hang out
- 17:25Speaker 7: with Zach because when you get to know someone like
- 17:27Speaker 7: that and you go through also like your trauma bonded
- 17:29Speaker 7: to the women, So it creates a very particular relationship
- 17:32Speaker 7: with those girls, like I have a relationship with I
- 17:34Speaker 7: could be friends with people for like fifteen years, but
- 17:37Speaker 7: those girls know me in a completely different way than
- 17:39Speaker 7: my family, my friends, anyone that experience that you share together,
- 17:42Speaker 7: especially the farther and farther you get, because it becomes
- 17:45Speaker 7: more traumatic, if you will, and you're more removed from society.
- 17:48Speaker 7: So that's like a particular trombond with the women, but
- 17:50Speaker 7: also with the lead you also bond in a certain way,
- 17:53Speaker 7: whether that is like romantic or long term, any of
- 17:55Speaker 7: these things you like. I think the most fun part
- 17:58Speaker 7: of Fantasy Suites was like dish about everything and the
- 18:00Speaker 7: whole experience and finally having someone to talk to off
- 18:02Speaker 7: camera about everything.
- 18:03Speaker 4: We'd gone through.
- 18:05Speaker 7: So I've always had like a good rapport with Zach since,
- 18:09Speaker 7: and I think everyone's kind of moved on and any
- 18:11Speaker 7: feelings that they've had. And Katie was one of the
- 18:13Speaker 7: people I was closest to in Gabby, particularly because.
- 18:17Speaker 4: We just had the very similar experience up until the end.
- 18:19Speaker 4: I mean, I was on a boat in Thailand being
- 18:21Speaker 4: like where am I?
- 18:24Speaker 7: So I think that it is so easy to go
- 18:26Speaker 7: to hang out with Zach and do all these things,
- 18:28Speaker 7: and it just feels like a friendship at this point,
- 18:32Speaker 7: and it feels like supporting my best friend's relationship, if
- 18:35Speaker 7: that makes sense.
- 18:37Speaker 4: It doesn't feel like my own narrative anymore.
- 18:40Speaker 5: It makes a lot of sense to me. And I
- 18:41Speaker 5: think even talking to Gabby like this dynamic doesn't work
- 18:45Speaker 5: unless Katie is also super confident, welcoming, hospitable, and very
- 18:52Speaker 5: relaxed about this idea, because I don't think it happens
- 18:55Speaker 5: every season, and I think it's one of the reasons
- 18:57Speaker 5: why this is such a unique, you know, kind of
- 19:01Speaker 5: group coming off a Zach season that you stayed close.
- 19:04Speaker 5: We did get to hear about you all going to
- 19:07Speaker 5: was it Montana?
- 19:08Speaker 4: Montana?
- 19:10Speaker 7: Just to tell me at AFR He's like, I'm so
- 19:12Speaker 7: jealous of that trip, and you're welcome to Colm anytime.
- 19:15Speaker 4: Montana was really fun. We also did the rodeo, we
- 19:18Speaker 4: did Houston. We've got a lot of trips.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Actually, didn't you just go to like Florida, like two
- 19:24Speaker 2: weeks after your trip to Montana.
- 19:26Speaker 3: You guys wanted to redo it.
- 19:28Speaker 4: We did.
- 19:30Speaker 7: I wasn't in Florida. We did, but we did Houston.
- 19:33Speaker 7: Oh okay, we did Houston way too close to Montana.
- 19:36Speaker 7: And I've decided I'm not traveling ever again for a
- 19:38Speaker 7: long time.
- 19:39Speaker 4: So tired.
- 19:40Speaker 7: But we do trips a lot because it's really nice
- 19:44Speaker 7: to have like these mini reunions and have them be
- 19:47Speaker 7: like very inclusive and all of us kind of be
- 19:49Speaker 7: together because again, it's such a particular bond, Like I
- 19:52Speaker 7: can talk to the girls in a different way, even
- 19:54Speaker 7: about dating and all these things that I do to
- 19:55Speaker 7: some of my closest friends sometimes. Yeah, and even like
- 19:58Speaker 7: our experiences from the show, that's still like affect us today.
- 20:11Speaker 5: We only have a few more minutes here with you,
- 20:13Speaker 5: and I have really two questions. One is more just
- 20:16Speaker 5: about you personally and what your dreams are here moving
- 20:19Speaker 5: forward the secon This one's more of a headline getter
- 20:23Speaker 5: for us. The internet has been shipping you and Jason
- 20:28Speaker 5: Tartick really since the Caitlin Bristow breakup. I don't know
- 20:31Speaker 5: if you know this.
- 20:32Speaker 4: I actually didn't know that I am.
- 20:34Speaker 6: I'm not lying to you about it.
- 20:35Speaker 5: You can go google yourself and it will be out
- 20:37Speaker 5: of there rather so, yeah, that's smart. But so my
- 20:42Speaker 5: first question is would you be interested in Jason Tartick?
- 20:45Speaker 5: And if not Jason, who from the show would you
- 20:50Speaker 5: like to see show up to the beach in Paradise
- 20:52Speaker 5: if you were there.
- 20:54Speaker 7: I'm open to Jason. I've never thought about him romantically.
- 20:57Speaker 7: We spoke, I was supposed to go on this podcast
- 20:59Speaker 7: after the show. We've spoken, but I can't really remember
- 21:01Speaker 7: what he's even like really, but I'm definitely open to that.
- 21:06Speaker 3: You must not follow Jason on social media.
- 21:09Speaker 4: I do. I do. I see a lot of his
- 21:11Speaker 4: social media.
- 21:12Speaker 3: I'm gonna say he puts himself out there.
- 21:15Speaker 4: But I can't tell if that's actually like.
- 21:17Speaker 7: The way you present on social media can be very
- 21:19Speaker 7: different than you as like a partner, a boyfriend, any
- 21:21Speaker 7: of those things. So I'm trying to like disassociate that
- 21:23Speaker 7: from the way people actually are, especially if it's someone's
- 21:26Speaker 7: like business. But yeah, I'm definitely open. I don't even
- 21:29Speaker 7: know that was a thing. Who would I like to
- 21:31Speaker 7: see on the beach? I feel like, everyone's pining for
- 21:34Speaker 7: this person. So I'm not gonna say.
- 21:35Speaker 3: Just say it, come must it's good for us.
- 21:39Speaker 7: I'm gonna be so avoidant with them, and I'm gonna
- 21:40Speaker 7: ignore them on the beach.
- 21:41Speaker 4: Because that's like that's gonna work. They can't know that
- 21:44Speaker 4: I said that. I'm open to him.
- 21:47Speaker 7: Actually, I see his social media a lot more than like,
- 21:50Speaker 7: and I've never met him, but I feel like his
- 21:53Speaker 7: whole like squad is really funny online and I like humor.
- 21:55Speaker 3: What season is this guy from? Can you at least
- 21:57Speaker 3: tell us that?
- 21:59Speaker 4: I wouldn't know? Actually, no, it was. It was Greg.
- 22:06Speaker 4: I'm like, it's gonna seem really just shade. There's a
- 22:09Speaker 4: difference between like shady and mysterious.
- 22:11Speaker 7: But yeah, no, I definitely think that he would get
- 22:13Speaker 7: too much attention on the beach though, so I'd have
- 22:15Speaker 7: to ignore him there.
- 22:17Speaker 3: Okay, it's probably gonna work.
- 22:19Speaker 6: It's a competition.
- 22:20Speaker 7: I don't see it as a competition. Even thirty women
- 22:22Speaker 7: one man like that. I'm fine with that ratio because, like,
- 22:25Speaker 7: if you actually connect with someone, none of that really matters.
- 22:28Speaker 4: I don't really I get jealous.
- 22:29Speaker 3: If I really love s so mature and cool no.
- 22:32Speaker 4: I'm actually really not.
- 22:33Speaker 7: Like I think the wrong guys will bring out an
- 22:35Speaker 7: immature side of you and make you feel insecure and
- 22:38Speaker 7: make you feel bad. But if there's actually a connection
- 22:40Speaker 7: there and someone makes you feel secure, it doesn't matter
- 22:42Speaker 7: if there's all these other women situations.
- 22:44Speaker 4: In my opinion, like I.
- 22:46Speaker 7: Think the right guy brings out the right side of you,
- 22:48Speaker 7: and like that's when you don't really feel jealousy. You
- 22:50Speaker 7: don't have to question things, you don't need to stalk
- 22:52Speaker 7: them in certain ways.
- 22:53Speaker 4: We do that until you do.
- 22:54Speaker 3: So based on this theory, I didn't marry the right person.
- 23:03Speaker 2: That's good, that's good kidding, but not.
- 23:08Speaker 4: I think that's the headline over the beach or anything.
- 23:15Speaker 6: I cannot wait.
- 23:16Speaker 5: I cannot wait to see you in Paradise and have
- 23:20Speaker 5: like four dudes interested in you, and like, because you
- 23:23Speaker 5: are open and you're like I'm here to enjoy and explore,
- 23:26Speaker 5: You're going to say yes to all these dates and
- 23:28Speaker 5: all of a sudden, you're gonna find yourself in this
- 23:30Speaker 5: love rectangle and you're gonna have to figure.
- 23:33Speaker 6: Yourself out of it.
- 23:34Speaker 5: And I cannot wait to watch the conversations you have
- 23:36Speaker 5: where you're explaining it, and everybody's like, yeah, that makes sense, Like.
- 23:38Speaker 6: We're all good here, Well, we can all make this work.
- 23:41Speaker 4: I know it's I'm going to be in like a harem.
- 23:45Speaker 6: That it can turn into it very quickly.
- 23:48Speaker 4: Yes, the show in general is very polyamorous.
- 23:50Speaker 6: Yeah, they are the first.
- 23:51Speaker 4: One to call it an open relationship, but it's been
- 23:53Speaker 4: like that forever.
- 23:55Speaker 2: It really has the polyamorous show with Christian values, perfect
- 24:01Speaker 2: for me.
- 24:01Speaker 7: And a Christian audience with our favorite Jewish girl, right,
- 24:05Speaker 7: they've never seen one before me.
- 24:08Speaker 5: My final question is, obviously we've talked a lot about
- 24:11Speaker 5: your dating. We've talked about your time on potentially going
- 24:14Speaker 5: on Paradise if it happens. You talked also about your
- 24:18Speaker 5: career and you were going to work for a startup
- 24:20Speaker 5: at the time. What does life in our final few
- 24:23Speaker 5: moments here look like for you right now, outside of
- 24:25Speaker 5: the romantic side, but more of the personal side. What
- 24:29Speaker 5: does life look like in New York City?
- 24:31Speaker 4: Life in New York City professionally, are in general just kind
- 24:34Speaker 4: of in general?
- 24:34Speaker 6: I think professionally and in general all work together.
- 24:37Speaker 4: Yeah, it does so.
- 24:39Speaker 7: I since the show have been doing a lot of
- 24:40Speaker 7: public speaking and motivational speaking, which I really like. I
- 24:43Speaker 7: go to different college campuses and I go to high schools,
- 24:46Speaker 7: and I've also hosted really big seminars. I just hosted
- 24:49Speaker 7: one in DC in December and one in Atlanta as well.
- 24:52Speaker 7: And I came back from Berlin on like a peace summit.
- 24:56Speaker 4: So I do a lot of that.
- 24:57Speaker 7: I do a lot of like deradicalization work through the
- 24:59Speaker 7: Middle East. And then my life in New York is
- 25:03Speaker 7: it changes every single day. I don't think I spend
- 25:05Speaker 7: enough time here. I'm moving apartments right now, so I
- 25:08Speaker 7: have to find a new apartment if I do Paradise
- 25:10Speaker 7: before then, which.
- 25:12Speaker 4: Gives me two weeks to three. It's super fun.
- 25:14Speaker 3: Because they are filming early in May.
- 25:17Speaker 7: If they do not, But I know that information, I'm
- 25:20Speaker 7: not exposed to that. I have no idea what you're
- 25:22Speaker 7: talking about. But yeah, I have to find an apartment within
- 25:24Speaker 7: three weeks, move everything. I'm getting rid of all my clothes,
- 25:27Speaker 7: So maybe I should do a TikTok about all the
- 25:29Speaker 7: outfits that I wore on the show, because they're all
- 25:30Speaker 7: making a comeback now, yea. But yeah, I'm really focused
- 25:34Speaker 7: on kind of all the things that I've been advocating
- 25:37Speaker 7: for online in terms of like peace building things like
- 25:40Speaker 7: that and creating a space for Jewish people online. That's
- 25:43Speaker 7: a lot of the work that I do. And I
- 25:46Speaker 7: might also start my own business. But I want to
- 25:48Speaker 7: talk about anything until it's actually set. So I feel
- 25:51Speaker 7: like every day is very different, and that's kind of
- 25:53Speaker 7: the exciting thing about being an entrepreneur. Every day is
- 25:56Speaker 7: not going to look the same, and every day in
- 25:58Speaker 7: New York looks very different too. All have five dates
- 26:00Speaker 7: one week and zero the next, but hopefully this drive.
- 26:03Speaker 4: Still end soon.
- 26:05Speaker 6: Yeah, we just want one for you right now. We're
- 26:06Speaker 6: just asking for one.
- 26:07Speaker 4: Guys, I have had dates.
- 26:08Speaker 7: I've just been saying no unless, like I really want
- 26:11Speaker 7: to go Ariel.
- 26:12Speaker 2: Maybe this is a sign from the universe that you're
- 26:14Speaker 2: not supposed to date anyone because your person's in paradise.
- 26:17Speaker 2: We don't want it to get to be a messy situation.
- 26:20Speaker 7: I do fully believe that, like I do believe in
- 26:23Speaker 7: the new universe and signs that you're set, and the
- 26:25Speaker 7: men that have been sent my way in the last
- 26:26Speaker 7: few months are really pushing me to go to the beach,
- 26:30Speaker 7: throwing me over the ledge. I wish I could read
- 26:34Speaker 7: all the texts I've received recently. Someone recently invited me
- 26:37Speaker 7: to pizza macassa. I don't even know what that means.
- 26:39Speaker 6: Pizza in what pizza?
- 26:41Speaker 3: Ohma, casse isn't our restaurant. Would you think.
- 26:44Speaker 7: It's like having almost different sushi but in different formats
- 26:47Speaker 7: of pizza.
- 26:48Speaker 4: I don't even get it.
- 26:49Speaker 3: Okay, that sounds very intriguing to me.
- 26:52Speaker 4: It was intriguing.
- 26:52Speaker 7: And then they got mad that I couldn't go because
- 26:54Speaker 7: I was in La for AFR and I don't know,
- 26:57Speaker 7: it's been a mess out there, so maybe I will
- 27:00Speaker 7: really be on the beach.
- 27:00Speaker 4: I'm being pushed in that direction.
- 27:02Speaker 6: We hope to see you there.
- 27:03Speaker 3: Oh my gosh. Well, it is a true pleasure talking
- 27:06Speaker 3: to you today.
- 27:07Speaker 4: Great to properly meet you.
- 27:08Speaker 3: Yeah. Same, Let's let's do more.
- 27:10Speaker 2: I want to go to one of your girl retreats
- 27:12Speaker 2: or something and then I'll record back almost famous investigates.
- 27:16Speaker 6: Go out and follow Aeriel on social media. TikTok and
- 27:20Speaker 6: Instagram are your two most used platforms?
- 27:23Speaker 4: Yeah, i'd say so. I don't have a YouTube yet,
- 27:25Speaker 4: but maybe one day.
- 27:26Speaker 6: Okay, go out and follow her.
- 27:28Speaker 5: Keep up with everything good going on in Ariel's life
- 27:30Speaker 5: and also from the Almost Famous listener group and the
- 27:35Speaker 5: host of Almost Famus podcast. We hope to see in Paradise.
- 27:37Speaker 5: It would be a pleasure for all of us. Thanks
- 27:39Speaker 5: for coming on. We wish you the best.
- 27:40Speaker 4: Thank you guys, Bye bye.
