- 0:00Scientists tell us that human beings diverge from chimpanzees
- 0:04somewhere between 4:00 and 8:00 million years ago.
- 0:10Somewhere around 2,000,000 years ago, the line of development
- 0:13that led to human beings appeared and our current
- 0:16formation, Homo sapiens came on the scenes around 300,000 years
- 0:23ago. Each stage led to expression of
- 0:26new physical, vital and mental traits that coalesced around the
- 0:31current status of what we understand to be human
- 0:35capabilities today. While there may be some debate
- 0:39about the exactness of these calculations, there remains the
- 0:44underlying fact that development of any stage of consciousness
- 0:48from a preceding stage does not happen overnight.
- 0:54We are now engaged with the development and expression of
- 0:57the next term of the evolution of consciousness beyond the
- 1:01mental level developed in the human being.
- 1:04How long will this take if we look back at each prior stage of
- 1:09development? The vital consciousness
- 1:11developing out of the material consciousness.
- 1:14The mental consciousness developing out of the vital
- 1:16consciousness. The higher mental consciousness
- 1:20developing out of the rudimentary mental
- 1:22consciousness, we see a time frame of millions of years in
- 1:28the normal processes of nature. This background and perspective
- 1:34is of utmost importance for the spiritual seeker who takes up
- 1:38the work needed to bring about the changes in human nature that
- 1:42can prepare and develop the next stage of evolution of
- 1:46consciousness. Human beings tend to be
- 1:50impatient. We want to see instant results,
- 1:54have instant success. Anything that does not happen
- 1:58quickly within the framework of our very short human lifetimes
- 2:03in relation to the time scales noted above is a cause for
- 2:07questioning, doubt and expression of impatience.
- 2:12How do we reconcile the time needed by nature with the human
- 2:16time frame? We need to adjust our
- 2:19expectations and develop imperturbable patience so that
- 2:25we can persevere without the kind of instant gratification
- 2:29that we generally desire. Patience does not imply
- 2:34indolence. There should be the focus and
- 2:37energy concentrated to continue the progress, while at the same
- 2:42time the understanding and view that these changes may take many
- 2:47human lifetimes. First Nations people speak of
- 2:52looking at consequences down to 7 generations in the future to
- 2:56provide a better perspective of the impact of our actions.
- 3:01The development of a new stage of conscious evolution is a far
- 3:05longer process than just 7 generations.
- 3:10We thus look at this as a disinterested work without
- 3:13personal desire, without personal expectation, without
- 3:18personal gratification of instant success.
- 3:21As part of the larger intentions of the divine manifestation, the
- 3:26individual may and likely will experience changes that are real
- 3:31and palpable along the way. These changes help create the
- 3:36incremental readiness for human development beyond the mental
- 3:40level, with all the requirements for such a change and all of the
- 3:45receptivity and capacities in place to accept such a change
- 3:51and integrate it into the expression of nature over time.
- 3:56It is important to note that the expression of each further stage
- 4:00of consciousness has proceeded an order of magnitude faster
- 4:06than the preceding stage. What took billions of years to
- 4:10occur in the expression of the vital consciousness out of the
- 4:13material consciousness was truncated down to just hundreds
- 4:17of thousands of years for the development of the human mental
- 4:21capacities out of the level seen in primates generally at that
- 4:26time. Several additional elements look
- 4:29to speed up the process for the next stage.
- 4:32As Srioro Bindo has explained, there's the introduction of the
- 4:36Super mental force into the physical consciousness that
- 4:40begins to prepare the way and introduce its own aspects of
- 4:44preparation for the transformation.
- 4:47The conscious participation of awake individuals also
- 4:52represents A qualitative change in the way.
- 4:55Nature has done this in the past and this can speed up the entire
- 5:00development enormously. With an order of magnitude
- 5:05change and this conscious focus and participation, what nature
- 5:10might take 10s of thousands of years to do could conceivably be
- 5:14done in a much shorter time frame.
- 5:18That does not, however, imply overnight.
- 5:22What can start to become visible are incremental changes in our
- 5:26physical, vital and mental existence as the higher force
- 5:31that is working to manifest this next phase embeds itself in the
- 5:35earth nature and begins to prepare the ground for its full
- 5:39expression over time, Srioro Bindo notes quote.
- 5:46It is certain that an ardent aspiration helps to progress,
- 5:51but patience is also needed, for it is a very big change that has
- 5:56to be made and although there can be moments of great
- 6:00rapidity, it is never all the time like that.
- 6:05Old things try to stick as much as possible.
- 6:09The new that come have to develop and the consciousness
- 6:12takes time to assimilate them and make them normal to the
- 6:16nature. End Quote, the mother adds
- 6:21Quote. You must arm yourself with an
- 6:24endless patience and endurance. You do a thing once, 10 * 100 *
- 6:311000 times if necessary, but you do it till it gets done, and not
- 6:37done only here and there, but everywhere and everywhere at the
- 6:41same time. This is the great problem one
- 6:44sets oneself. That is why to those who come to
- 6:48tell me very lightheartedly, I want to do yoga, I reply, Think
- 6:55it over. One may do the yoga for a number
- 6:58of years without noticing the least result.
- 7:01But if you want to do it, you must persist, and persist with
- 7:06such a will that you should be ready to do it for 10 lifetimes,
- 7:10100 lifetimes if necessary, in order to succeed.
- 7:16I do not say it will be like that, but the attitude must be
- 7:21like that. End Quote Reference Sri Oro
