Swain Shines with Record-Setting Punt Returns | South Carolina Gamecocks Football News
South Carolina’s Gamecocks crushed Towson 45-9 in a rain-soaked thriller, turning adversity into dominance. Quarterback LaNorris Sellers added a 58-yard TD run, while special teams phenom Vicari Swain—celebrating his birthday—shattered the school’s all-time punt return TD record with two dazzling returns (58 and 45 yards) and a blocked extra point, tying the mark at five. The rushing attack exploded for 405 yards, led by Matt Fuller’s 125 yards, as the team’s ground game and Swain’s heroics powered them to victory despite sloppy passing and a lightning delay.
