- 0:01If you've ever walked away from a conversation feeling like you
- 0:07are the problem, even though something inside you knows
- 0:13you're not, this episode is for you.
- 0:18There is something deeply human, something almost invisible, yet
- 0:24so powerful. The need to feel seen, not
- 0:30judged, not corrected, not fixed, just seen.
- 0:37I'm still learning this even now.
- 0:41Recently after conversation with my father, I sat there and I
- 0:47felt like I was a teenager again.
- 0:50Small, wrong, invisible. And what surprised me the most
- 0:57was not what he said. It was how deeply familiar that
- 1:03feeling was. And maybe you're listening to
- 1:08this right now. And something inside of you
- 1:12whispers, yes, that's what I've been missing.
- 1:19If that's you, stay with me, because this episode is not
- 1:25about me, it's about you. And if even one part of you
- 1:31feels understood today, then this moment right here has
- 1:38already done its work. I want to ask you something
- 1:43gently. Have you ever shared something
- 1:48honest, something real, and instead of being met with
- 1:54understanding, you were made to feel like you were the problem?
- 2:01Maybe you spoke up, maybe you expressed hurt, maybe you simply
- 2:08reacted like any human would. And suddenly the story changed.
- 2:16It was no longer something hurt me.
- 2:21It became there's something wrong with me.
- 2:27And if you've lived through this more than once, especially with
- 2:34someone close to you, it doesn't.
- 2:37It doesn't just pass. It shapes you.
- 2:42It makes you question yourself. Did I overreact?
- 2:48Am I too sensitive? Am I difficult?
- 2:54But what if I told you something that might land softly but
- 3:00steeply? Your reaction was never the
- 3:05problem. It was often a healthy response
- 3:11to pain. I remember so many moments
- 3:16growing up where something hurt me and I've reacted sometimes
- 3:23with sadness, sometimes with anger, sometimes I just
- 3:29withdrew. And in the end, my reaction
- 3:34became the problem. Not what happened, but me.
- 3:41And I want you to just pause here for a moment.
- 3:45Let that sink in, because maybe no one has ever said this to you
- 3:52before. There are relationships,
- 3:57especially within families, where a pattern quietly repeats
- 4:04itself over years, even decades. Something happens, you feel
- 4:10hurt, you respond, and then your response becomes the issue.
- 4:18Not what was said, not what was done, but you.
- 4:26And over time, something inside you begins to break.
- 4:31Not loudly, but quietly, through doubt, you begin to disconnect
- 4:38from your own truth. But here's the shift.
- 4:44And this is where your power begins.
- 4:48Awareness. The moment you start recognizing
- 4:54the pattern is the moment you begin to step out of it.
- 5:00Not perfectly, not all at once, but gently, consistently.
- 5:09Because the truth is, even today, even as an adult, even
- 5:16after all the inner work, you might still feel hurt sometimes.
- 5:23You might still be triggered. And that does not mean you
- 5:28failed. It means you're human.
- 5:33What matters is not if it happens.
- 5:37What matters is what do you do with it after?
- 5:43Do you stay in the pain for days, replaying it over and
- 5:48over? Or do you take a step back and
- 5:52say, ah, I see it now, this is the pattern again.
- 5:59And this happened again not long ago.
- 6:04I've received a letter from my father and in it he said
- 6:09something I never expected, that I was psychologically sick.
- 6:17And for a moment it hits deeply, it hurt.
- 6:22But then I took a step back and I saw it not as truth, but as
- 6:30the pattern repeating itself. And in that moment, something
- 6:37beautiful becomes possible. You turn toward yourself.
- 6:43Instead of asking, what's wrong with me, you begin asking, what
- 6:50do I need right now? And this is where healing
- 6:55becomes very real, very simple, and very powerful.
- 7:02You take care of the part of you that feels hurt.
- 7:07Maybe you close your eyes and you imagine holding that younger
- 7:13version of yourself, the one who just wanted to be loved, to be
- 7:20understood, to be safe. And you speak to her softly,
- 7:27kindly. I see you.
- 7:31I feel you. You didn't deserve this.
- 7:37And something inside you begins to exhale, because for the first
- 7:44time you are no longer waiting for someone else to see you.
- 7:50You are seeing yourself. And from this place you begin to
- 7:57understand something else. Boundaries are not rejection,
- 8:04they are protection. Maybe you start calling less,
- 8:10maybe you step back a little, not out of anger, but out of
- 8:16self respect. And yes, it might feel an
- 8:20unfamiliar at first, even uncomfortable, because you were
- 8:27never taught to do this. But growth often feels like that
- 8:33in the beginning. Unnatural, strange, even wrong.
- 8:39But it's not wrong. It's you.
- 8:43And every time you choose yourself, even in a small way,
- 8:49you are rewriting your story. You don't need to argue with
- 8:56people who cannot see you. You don't need to prove your
- 9:02truth to someone who isn't able to hear it.
- 9:06And this is important. Sometimes the person who hurts
- 9:12you is also deeply hurt themselves.
- 9:17They are speaking from their own wounds, their own unmet needs,
- 9:24their own past. When I speak to my father today,
- 9:30I sometimes don't hear a strong man anymore.
- 9:35I hear a hurt child, a man who never learned to say I'm sorry,
- 9:44a man who carries his own pain but never learned how to face
- 9:50it. And suddenly it makes sense.
- 9:55Not OK, but understandable. And you can feel compassion for
- 10:02that. But compassion does not mean
- 10:06allowing yourself to be hurt again and again.
- 10:12You are allowed to step back. You are allowed to protect your
- 10:18heart, even and especially when it's someone very close to you.
- 10:26And that's why I made the decision to step back a little,
- 10:32to call less, to protect myself more.
- 10:37And yes, sometimes I still feel guilty, but deep down I know
- 10:44this is not rejection. This is love for myself.
- 10:51So if you're listening to this and something inside you feels
- 10:56tender, I want you to hear this clearly.
- 11:02You are not too sensitive. You are not too much.
- 11:07You are not the problem. Your feelings are valid, your
- 11:13reactions make sense, and your longing to be seen is deeply
- 11:20human. And maybe today, no one has
- 11:25truly seen you yet. But right here, in this moment,
- 11:31I want you to feel this. I see you, I feel you.
- 11:38And in the most human, gentle way, I hold space for you.
- 11:45And if this episode touch something inside of you, if you
- 11:50feel like you're ready to go deeper, I want to offer you
- 11:55something from my heart. Ioffer free one-on-one coaching
- 12:01sessions. A space where you can be heard
- 12:06without judgement, without being made wrong.
- 12:11A space where you can reconnect with yourself and gently begin
- 12:17to trust your own voice again. You don't have to walk this path
- 12:24alone. And until next time, take care
- 12:29of your heart, protect your light, and remember, the moment
- 12:36you start seeing yourself, your whole world begins to change.
