  [SPEAKER_00]: extended Britain strange on a three-year extension basically two years guaranteed 25 million up to 48 million for the three years so Britain strange got himself a nice payday he's going to be around for the foreseeable future in Jacksonville now and the Jaguars have a really nice tight-end room I think to get excited about and build around a core for the future so

  [SPEAKER_00]: The question is now who's next, so I've got five players that I think are most likely to get contract extensions next for the Jacksonville Jack Wars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So in terms of players they extended before they were actually about to hit for agency.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They did Trayvon Walker, he was going in the final year

  [SPEAKER_00]: So these are three players that they decided to extend before the season.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Now, if the Jaguars don't extend the players we're going to talk about or they don't extend someone who is on an expiring contract before the season, that doesn't mean they can't bring them back at all.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They sign players like Jacobi Myers and Colvane Landon during the season last year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: right before, right before for agency got kicked off, the Jaguar is agreed to a deal with Buster Brown.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You also had several other smaller contract players that the Jaguar has brought back after the season.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So the timeline doesn't have to be get it done right now or it's not gonna get done, but if you do want to get the best potential deal from a Jaguar standpoint,

  [SPEAKER_00]: Getting deals done before the season starts and before players start really ascending and kind of cementing themselves as these big time players for a couple of these young guys, it could be beneficial for the team.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars deal with Britain strange, even though it is up to $48 million, which is up to $16 million per year, I don't think he's likely to hit all of those incentives to get it to that point.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Based on how we've seen the Jaguar as operating this offseason and the deals they've gotten done, I would guess it would be in the $17 to $18 million per year range for Parker Washington, maybe a two year deal, maybe a three year deal.

  [SPEAKER_00]: One thing you can say about the, with the Jaguars have kind of built up their roster over the last couple years,

  [SPEAKER_00]: where you could look at what they've done in the draft and say, do they have to sign this player to an extension?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Right, like at tight end, they went and got vorkature with their first pick in 2026 and then they also got Tanner Kozio.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Both players look like they're going to be able to contribute for the Jag Wars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think Parker Washington is the same way, even though the Jag Wars that why do you see for a half, Jacobi Myers locked up.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They just drafted two more guys Josh Cameron CJ Williams, but I still think Parker Washington should be in their future plans.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If I had to guess on one player that would get a deal before.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The season, I would guess it would be Parker Washington again into that 17-18-million-dollar per year range, the cool thing about Parker beyond just like what he ranks to the field, which is so much as a partner-terner, which I don't know if he'll continue to do that, but as a receiver kind of a three-level threat, a guy who is really good in contested catch situations, but also with the ball on his hands and also a good route runner.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's going to be 24 his entire fourth year in the league.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's not going to be 25 until next off season, which is crazy.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I would love to see him back in Jacksonville.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You could say right now that like his production profile is a little bit more like flash in the pan than super consistent.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It was basically from week nine of last year through the wild card game where he really popped off.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And really like the last week, 16, 17, 18 in the wild card game, that's when he really went berserk.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I would say from week nine Ford, he had a really big, big impact as a receiver for the jags.

  [SPEAKER_00]: do you want to see more like Britain strange you had seen him develop into a very good player in his second year in the league and then take another step forward in year three Parker Washington hasn't done as much consistently on the field as a Britain strange so that's one thing to keep in mind I would still be willing to go ahead and take that leap with Parker because of the way he brings it the way he plays

  [SPEAKER_00]: Then you also have Antonio Johnson at safety who realistically, I think that I think that fans sentiment is much more on the side of Parker Washington, which I will say from a positional values standpoint, I get it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I think just from a on the field, what they've done for you on their respective side of the ball and on special teams, like Parker Washington, great partner Turner.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But Antonio Johnson, if you ask him to be on special teams, he's done a great job in that regard too.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So they've both been good on special teams.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I think Antonio Johnson,

  [SPEAKER_00]: has proven just as much as Parker Washington that he can be an integral part of the defense that Parker Washington can be on the offensive side of the ball.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I strongly believe that based on what we saw last year and based on what we saw a little bit from Antonio Johnson as a rookie.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Also, I mentioned how why do Siever, they have added all these pieces

  [SPEAKER_00]: They still have Eric Murray in the fold, which I don't think he's gonna be a long-term piece, but I do think there's a chance he's still in the roster for 2027 because of the consistency and professionalism he brings.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then you went and drafted Caleb Ransal last year, who's back now, you went and drafted, and that was on day two, and then day two this year, you also went and drafted,

  [SPEAKER_00]: Jalen Husky and then don't forget about Rayon Lane so yeah they did a lot at safety as well they've done a lot at most positions to really kind of ensure their future of their football team which is commendable work in my opinion

  [SPEAKER_00]: But Antonio Johnson, when I look at safety contracts, they could get a serious deal for him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think if they got a deal done this off season, will they want to?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe, so Quentin Lake just got 12.75 million per year from the Rams, basically two years guaranteed.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Um, so we've spent a lot of time talking about those two guys because to me, they're the most intriguing, but Devon Hamilton very intriguing too.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Right, Devon Hamilton is a major player for the Jaguars, and I know people would like him to be a better pass rusher, but the bottom line is he is a dominant interior run defender, and the anchor of the best run defense and football.

  [SPEAKER_00]: To the Jaguars want to potentially let that go, because he is going into a contract year in 2026.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Now, Devon Hamilton, I believe he's 28 years old right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He just turned 29.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So if the Jack Wars make it to the Super Bowl, he'll be 30, but he'll be other than that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Great run to Fender, absolute incredible strength, great story with him coming back from his health scare.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I would not be surprised at all if the Jaguar's prior tries bringing him back.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And look, you can say the same thing about defensive tackle.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They went in the God Albert Regis.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They traded for Rook Aurora, which to me is technically a different position.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But they've done some things to solidify the future for themselves at the defensive tackle spot.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So you could say, well, maybe they let him walk.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I think this regime loves Devon Hamilton.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The way they talk about him, the way he played for them

  [SPEAKER_00]: I would not be, I would not be looking to move on from Devon, honestly.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Then you have ventral Miller, interesting case, has probably shown the least

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's shown you the least just because he hasn't really gotten that chance to start for a long time.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But if they feel good about the ventral miller and foyer Luke and combo, they could absolutely extend ventral probably really cheaply.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think he can do pretty much everything you asked Devon Lloyd to do last year in this defense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's going to have all the interceptions that Devon Lloyd had probably not.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I think he's probably also going to be a more consistent tackler, more consistent downhill run defender.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think he can blitz at a high level too.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So you look at linebacker contracts.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, if they wanted to extend him before the season, I think they could get in very cheaply.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Um, a guy like Ernest Jones is making nine five.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I think you could probably get him five six seven million dollars per year over a couple years if you wanted to go ahead and go that route right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that would be brilliant if his representation and if he was comfortable doing that, I think that that would be brilliant by the Jaguar, honestly, because it's a low-risk high-up side play because he has the ability to play it in extremely high-level in those defense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Then my final player is Ezra Cleveland.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He is a guard, again, a position where the Jaguars have spent a lot of draft capital.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You brought in why a Miloam last year in the draft, you brought in a manual pregnant on in the draft this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So there are paths to different starters at that spot, but as your Cleveland, since he's been in Jacksonville, I think he's been very consistent.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Now, originally he came in, he was playing through injury, but these last couple years, I think he's been one of the Jaguar's more consistent and balanced.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I would not be upset at all if the jaguar is going to keep him around.
