- 0:00Speaker 1: Okay. Rich and his wife got into a fight. We're
- 0:05Speaker 1: going to hear about it in a second. Will, what's up? Hey, guys.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Good morning.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Morning.
- 0:11Speaker 3: I was hearing you guys talk for a couple of
- 0:12Speaker 3: days now that Crystal is going to be downtown somewhere
- 0:14Speaker 3: near Fairtrade. And I haven't heard at all what time
- 0:18Speaker 3: she's going to be down there.
- 0:20Speaker 1: From 10 a.m. to 2 today.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Ooh, that's a big window. I hear she might have
- 0:26Speaker 3: a special guest.
- 0:27Speaker 4: Yes.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Yes. I don't know who that is. Any thoughts?
- 0:30Speaker 2: You don't know?
- 0:31Speaker 1: We have thoughts. You have thoughts?
- 0:33Speaker 2: No, but you can't say.
- 0:35Speaker 5: I can tell you that they were pretty careful to
- 0:37Speaker 5: not tell us, but just tell us it.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Could be potentially a big deal. All right. 10 to 2.
- 0:43Speaker 3: That's a big window. We might have to take half
- 0:44Speaker 3: a day off.
- 0:45Speaker 5: We'll do it because there's going to be lots of prizes.
- 0:47Speaker 5: I mean, we're giving the shows tomorrow night, and we've
- 0:49Speaker 5: got tons of tickets. We've got a whole bunch of stuff.
- 0:51Speaker 5: So it's 10 to 2. We're still doing the show
- 0:53Speaker 5: from there.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Sweet. Okay.
- 0:56Speaker 3: I looked at her page, but I didn't see what time.
- 0:57Speaker 3: I figured it'd probably be between.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Her page hours or her show hours.
- 1:03Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:03Speaker 4: Cool.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Appreciate it.
- 1:04Speaker 5: Thanks, guys.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Thanks, Will. Bye, Will.
- 1:06Speaker 4: Bye.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:06Speaker 5: So I was going to tell you guys, what's the
- 1:10Speaker 5: most popular toy of the year so far?
- 1:13Speaker 6: I feel like I know what's been the most popular
- 1:15Speaker 6: toy in our house.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. I would love to know if you have
- 1:17Speaker 1: this toy because I want this toy. What is it?
- 1:19Speaker 1: What do you think, Kyle?
- 1:20Speaker 2: It's the viral squishy butter.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Oh, I saw that everywhere.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Viral squishies in general.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Squishy anything. All the neatoes. Okay. You're half right. The
- 1:30Speaker 1: most popular toy of the year.
- 1:31Speaker 5: It's a squishy doll type thing named Chester Cheeks.
- 1:34Speaker 7: Huh.
- 1:35Speaker 5: The tweens love it because it looks like a butt
- 1:37Speaker 5: and it makes farts out. Here's the commercial.
- 1:40Speaker 1: What's that?
- 1:41Speaker 5: It's Chester Cheeks.
- 1:43Speaker 2: The ultimate butt face prankster.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Squeeze.
- 1:48Speaker 2: And he lets it rip.
- 1:49Speaker 5: He's dropping beats, jiggling cheeks.
- 1:52Speaker 2: He's full of gas power pranks up his sleeve.
- 1:54Speaker 1: That little fart. Chester. Always up to cheeky tricks.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Warning, may cause explosive laughter and uncontrollable wiggle dancing.
- 2:05Speaker 5: Chester Cheeks from Butt Face by Goliath. For real.
- 2:09Speaker 2: What a great commercial. We don't have that one in
- 2:11Speaker 2: our house.
- 2:11Speaker 1: I want it.
- 2:12Speaker 5: I want it.
- 2:13Speaker 2: That's totally up your alley. You are Chester Cheeks. You
- 2:17Speaker 2: don't need a doll to do that.
- 2:18Speaker 4: No, seriously.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Okay, let's get into the richest fight. Oh yeah, this
- 2:23Speaker 2: is serious. You know, I will say that, you know,
- 2:26Speaker 2: I love my wife, Stacy, and we don't fight over
- 2:28Speaker 2: anything important ever. I mean, all the big things we
- 2:31Speaker 2: agree on. I've kept a list of our three biggest
- 2:33Speaker 2: fights so far in our marriage. One of them is
- 2:35Speaker 2: Costco grapes. Should they go in the fridge or the freezer?
- 2:37Speaker 2: That was a big fight to what time the dry
- 2:40Speaker 2: cleaner closes. And yesterday, this very radio show, we got
- 2:44Speaker 2: in a fight about this radio show. So I am
- 2:47Speaker 2: sitting down compiling questions for minutes and winning it. Occasionally,
- 2:51Speaker 2: I'll bounce them off John Jay. Like, is this too hard?
- 2:54Speaker 2: Is this too easy? And sometimes Stacey, my wife, will
- 2:57Speaker 2: be like, I know what would be fun. Why don't
- 2:59Speaker 2: you see if I can get all the questions in
- 3:01Speaker 2: 60 seconds? And she's pretty smart, so she usually gets them.
- 3:05Speaker 2: But she protested like listeners do on this question. I'm
- 3:08Speaker 2: going to ask you this question. What spice gives curry
- 3:13Speaker 2: dishes its yellow color? Does anybody know?
- 3:16Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 3:17Speaker 1: What?
- 3:17Speaker 3: Turmeric.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Okay, that is the correct answer.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Oh, I was going to say curry.
- 3:20Speaker 8: Same.
- 3:21Speaker 2: That is what Stacy said. She said curry. And I said, well,
- 3:25Speaker 2: what spice gives curry dishes its yellow flavor? She's like,
- 3:28Speaker 2: it's curry. I'm like, no, curry itself is not a spice.
- 3:32Speaker 2: It's a dish. And her argument with me was, you
- 3:35Speaker 2: should have said a curry dish in the question, not
- 3:38Speaker 2: just curry. And I said, let me repeat the question.
- 3:40Speaker 2: What spice gives curry dishes its yellow flavor? She's like, curry.
- 3:44Speaker 2: And I'm like, no, it is turmeric. She's like, You
- 3:47Speaker 2: got to take that question out, or me and everybody
- 3:49Speaker 2: else is going to call the radio station.
- 3:50Speaker 5: I have a question for the question. I don't understand
- 3:52Speaker 5: yellow flavor. Is color a flavor?
- 3:54Speaker 2: I said yellow color.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Oh, you said yellow flavor twice.
- 3:57Speaker 2: You said color first, but then you said flavor.
- 3:59Speaker 5: So if you read it to her that way, that's
- 4:00Speaker 5: the way you always mess up questions on the game.
- 4:03Speaker 2: I'm reading it from the page. What spice gives curry
- 4:05Speaker 2: dishes its yellow color?
- 4:07Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Yellow color. It's turmeric, yeah.
- 4:10Speaker 6: But curry powder, when I look it up, says it
- 4:13Speaker 6: is a spice blend. And it is typically bright yellow
- 4:17Speaker 6: or golden orange.
- 4:17Speaker 2: That's what she would say. So she's like the question,
- 4:21Speaker 2: because you didn't say curry dish, should be thrown out.
- 4:24Speaker 2: And I said, I did say curry dish. And then
- 4:27Speaker 2: in that case, your answer would be in the question.
- 4:29Speaker 2: We don't do those really. It's like if you say,
- 4:31Speaker 2: you know, like Arizona is the 48th state. What's the
- 4:34Speaker 2: name of the 48th state? We don't do that. I
- 4:36Speaker 2: feel like you'd have.
- 4:37Speaker 6: To give it to her, though, because turmeric is in
- 4:40Speaker 6: curry powder.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Oh, well, then maybe she has a point. Maybe she
- 4:43Speaker 2: was right.
- 4:43Speaker 5: If you type into Chachapiti the exact way he asked
- 4:46Speaker 5: the question, what does it say?
- 4:47Speaker 2: What spice gives curry dishes its yellow color?
- 4:57Speaker 6: It says, thinking, I was thinking he stumped Chachapiti.
- 5:02Speaker 1: I should take a look.
- 5:04Speaker 6: What spice gives curry dishes its yellow color?
- 5:07Speaker 9: Turmeric!
- 5:08Speaker 6: Exclamation point. It contains a natural pigment called something curcumin,
- 5:14Speaker 6: which gives many curry dishes their.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Bright golden yellow color.
- 5:16Speaker 2: But if I go by the rule of the room here,
- 5:20Speaker 2: you have a worthy protest if you said curry because
- 5:23Speaker 2: it's in... I would listen to her and dump that question.
- 5:25Speaker 1: I did. See why that.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Was an argument.
- 5:29Speaker 1: All right.
- 5:29Speaker 5: We got another $ 1, 000 on the line in just a
- 5:31Speaker 5: matter of minutes. Kiss is paying your bills. You got
- 5:33Speaker 5: to keep listening for the keyword. We want to hear
- 5:34Speaker 5: about your stupid fight. All right.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Stupid fight.
- 5:37Speaker 7: 877-937-1047.
- 5:40Speaker 1: We'll do it after Ariana Grande.
- 5:41Speaker 5: All right, so Rich just told us he got into
- 5:48Speaker 5: a fight with his wife over this show for a
- 5:50Speaker 5: minute to win a question about curry and turmeric. So
- 5:53Speaker 5: we want to know about a stupid fight you've been into.
- 5:55Speaker 5: And they got serious, too. Anna Marie, what happened to you?
- 5:59Speaker 1: Yes.
- 6:00Speaker 7: Oh, my goodness.
- 6:01Speaker 4: Hi, good morning. We fight over the air fryer in
- 6:05Speaker 4: regards to cleaning it. Every time I want to use
- 6:09Speaker 4: the air fryer, it's never clean.
- 6:12Speaker 10: And we've gotten into some really heated arguments in regards
- 6:16Speaker 10: to keeping that air fryer clean. And I've told him
- 6:20Speaker 10: to keep, like, some kind.
- 6:21Speaker 7: Of liner in it. And for some reason, he refuses.
- 6:25Speaker 7: Just refuses to do so.
- 6:27Speaker 4: And it drives me insane.
- 6:29Speaker 1: All right. That's a pretty good.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Air fryer fights.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Air fryer fights. Thank you, Anne-Marie. Avery. Avery.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Hi.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Hi.
- 6:38Speaker 1: What's a stupid fight you got into with someone?
- 6:42Speaker 4: I got in a fight with my best friend over
- 6:44Speaker 4: a tube of toothpaste.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Got to hear this.
- 6:50Speaker 4: It was Christmastime, and we were both at home. We
- 6:53Speaker 4: lived in San Diego at the time, and we were
- 6:56Speaker 4: both at home in Oregon for Christmas. And we got
- 6:59Speaker 4: back to San Diego afterwards, and we had all of
- 7:02Speaker 4: our Christmas stuff in our boxes. And, you know, Santa...
- 7:06Speaker 4: brought us each, you know, for our stocking, like toothpaste and,
- 7:10Speaker 4: you know, Advil or whatever little things for our stocking.
- 7:16Speaker 4: And all of it was in my... I had my
- 7:18Speaker 4: stuff in my box and she had her stuff in hers.
- 7:21Speaker 4: And she got into mine and tried to use my toothpaste.
- 7:24Speaker 4: I'm like, Kim, that is mine. She said, no, it's not.
- 7:26Speaker 4: It's mine. I said, Kim... It was so stupid. This
- 7:30Speaker 4: is just so stupid. I can't even say this on
- 7:35Speaker 4: the radio. In my defense, this is like 20 years ago.
- 7:38Speaker 4: But I was like, that is my toothpaste. And you
- 7:40Speaker 4: know how I know? Because I am organized and you're not.
- 7:44Speaker 4: Look at the toothpaste tube. Mine is squeezed from the top.
- 7:47Speaker 4: Yours is not. Yours is squeezed from the middle. And
- 7:50Speaker 4: here is yours right here in your bathroom. And it
- 7:53Speaker 4: was like a huge fight. And then our sorority sister
- 7:55Speaker 4: comes in and she's like, Are you guys seriously fighting
- 7:58Speaker 4: over toothpaste?
- 8:01Speaker 2: Sounds like you were right.
- 8:02Speaker 4: Or like, I was absolutely right.
- 8:05Speaker 7: It was mine.
- 8:06Speaker 4: I'm not sharing my toothpaste with her. She had her own.
- 8:09Speaker 5: Do you guys still talk about it?
- 8:14Speaker 4: Not really. It was a long time ago, and it
- 8:17Speaker 4: was just really stupid.
- 8:19Speaker 1: But it's really fresh. Who does that?
- 8:20Speaker 9: It seems like you still have a visceral reaction when
- 8:23Speaker 9: you talk about it.
- 8:26Speaker 2: You know what?
- 8:28Speaker 4: It did make... It scarred me a little bit.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Santa wouldn't want you to fight. In fact, he only
- 8:33Speaker 2: shops for you at Walgreens, apparently.
- 8:34Speaker 1: That's it.
- 8:36Speaker 4: What was that?
- 8:38Speaker 2: Santa doesn't want us to fight?
- 8:40Speaker 1: It wasn't. It really wasn't. Okay, Avery, thanks for calling.
- 8:45Speaker 4: I do want to say that I love you guys
- 8:47Speaker 4: and listen to you every single day.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Thanks, Avery. Have a great day. Thanks for listening.
- 8:51Speaker 4: Hey, no problem. Have a great day.
- 8:53Speaker 7: Bye.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Anna. What's a stupid thing you fought over?
- 8:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:58Speaker 10: So we have fought over whether or not expired food
- 9:01Speaker 10: is still good. And, um, my, my boyfriend is team
- 9:06Speaker 10: expired food, not good needs to go. I am very
- 9:10Speaker 10: much like, I need to see it. I need to
- 9:12Speaker 10: smell it might still be good.
- 9:14Speaker 4: And so when we were.
- 9:15Speaker 10: First living together, there's nothing worse than having food that
- 9:18Speaker 10: you're like looking forward to eating. You're planning to eat it.
- 9:22Speaker 10: And then you just like discover it's gone.
- 9:24Speaker 7: Right.
- 9:25Speaker 9: And so in the.
- 9:25Speaker 10: Beginning he would throw food away and I'd be like, no,
- 9:28Speaker 10: it was still good. Like, why did you do that?
- 9:31Speaker 10: And so we had enough arguments about it that I
- 9:33Speaker 10: finally was like, you are not to throw anything away
- 9:37Speaker 10: until I've looked at it.
- 9:39Speaker 7: Right.
- 9:39Speaker 4: And he's a sweet man.
- 9:40Speaker 10: So it got to the point where he just wouldn't
- 9:42Speaker 10: throw anything away. And so I go into the fridge
- 9:45Speaker 10: and I would like pull yogurt out and I'd open
- 9:47Speaker 10: it and it'd be all like moldy and gross. And
- 9:48Speaker 10: I'd be like, oh, nasty. I'm going to throw this away.
- 9:51Speaker 10: And he'd be like, but babe, it's still good.
- 9:55Speaker 2: I totally get him.
- 9:56Speaker 1: I'm team Anna on this one.
- 9:58Speaker 7: No way.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Your boyfriend's ripe.
- 10:02Speaker 10: It out. He was in restaurant management for 25 years.
- 10:06Speaker 10: So like I get where he comes from, but I
- 10:09Speaker 10: learned in college that the expiration date is not necessarily
- 10:12Speaker 10: the date it goes bad. That's just like the date
- 10:14Speaker 10: that the grocery store, like they have to sell stuff
- 10:17Speaker 10: within a certain timeframe. So I'm like, no, no, If
- 10:19Speaker 10: it smells good, if it looks good, and it tastes fine, like,
- 10:23Speaker 10: it's still good, and I'm going to eat it, so
- 10:25Speaker 10: don't touch my food.
- 10:26Speaker 5: I agree with you. The other day, you guys ever
- 10:28Speaker 5: had the Costco chicken skewers? You guys ever had those?
- 10:30Speaker 5: They're so good. We've had them in the fridge for
- 10:32Speaker 5: a long time, and I was talking to Blake the
- 10:34Speaker 5: other day, and my wife, and I opened the fridge,
- 10:35Speaker 5: and we're talking, and I grab a skewer, and she goes,
- 10:37Speaker 5: I don't think those are good anymore.
- 10:38Speaker 1: And I go, we'll see. And I just ate it.
- 10:40Speaker 1: It was fine. Matthew, stupid fight you got into. Matthew.
- 10:47Speaker 7: Matthew.
- 10:48Speaker 8: Yeah, so my mother is currently living with me, and
- 10:53Speaker 8: she doesn't even know how to load a dishwasher.
- 10:56Speaker 7: It's insane.
- 10:57Speaker 8: Knives are sticking up. Large cutting boards are in there
- 11:01Speaker 8: hitting the blades, and I'm just like, why are the
- 11:05Speaker 8: dishes like big dish, small dish, big dish? I'm like,
- 11:09Speaker 8: why can't it just be like it's big dish to
- 11:13Speaker 8: little dish.
- 11:15Speaker 7: Knives go down. blade down, forks go down, fork down.
- 11:20Speaker 7: I'm like, where did you grow up? You lived with
- 11:25Speaker 7: me for 40 years.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Didn't she teach you how to do it?
- 11:31Speaker 7: Apparently she said so at one point, but I don't
- 11:35Speaker 7: know if she.
- 11:36Speaker 8: you know, had a stroke and just forgot how to
- 11:40Speaker 8: put a dishwasher.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Yeah, you got to just get a rewash them anyway.
- 11:43Speaker 2: I have this conversation all the time.
- 11:45Speaker 9: That actually like reminds me, we get so frustrated with
- 11:48Speaker 9: my mom because when she will unload the dishwasher, it's
- 11:53Speaker 9: not like she has a cupboard specifically for, I don't know, where.
- 11:57Speaker 1: You put the cups or where you put the plate.
- 11:59Speaker 5: It's always in a different spot.
- 12:00Speaker 4: She just puts it wherever. Oh, God.
- 12:03Speaker 7: Yeah. And then I get yelled at when.
- 12:05Speaker 8: I unload the dishwasher and everything doesn't go specifically.
- 12:09Speaker 7: Where she wants it to be going. I'm like, well,
- 12:12Speaker 7: you don't even put it in the dishwasher.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Where I want it to be going.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Yeah, you don't care enough.
- 12:16Speaker 7: What are you doing? What matters more here?
- 12:21Speaker 1: That's fantastic. That is a great story. Don't fight with
- 12:23Speaker 1: your mom. That's great. Matthew, thanks for calling in. Thank you, guys.
- 12:27Speaker 4: Have a good day.
